Ive always looked at Viking over the years and said it looks really cool. Our range looks so powerful and it performs great. We went from a Profile GE, something that was 15 years old, to this. Its fantastic and we love it.

We love Viking and weve always wanted one due to their reputation. Weve had two ranges thus far, one in Sag Harbor thats 10 years old and one bought more recently in Michigan. Our Viking ranges cook well and thus far, the grill on top has been our favorite feature. Its convenient in the wintertime when we can use it instead of going outside.

Purchased Viking stove and built in Viking microwave VMOS200 while kitchen was being remodeled so it sat in warehouse for around a year. Microwave installed and worked fine for about 10 years, and then it stopped heating the food. Researched cost of repairs and found them to be way high in cost because of labor and the cost of parts needed. Researched for similar issues, to find out that other with same problem as a result of some switches behind the keypad that were bad and needed to be changed.As per Viking the little switch would cost around $22.00 ea. I worked as a purchaser of electronic components and I thought it sounded fishy for a switch to cost that much. I used to pay pennies for some switches and granted there are different types for different uses, but nothing could justify $22.00. I took the switch description and specs and fed it into Google and like magic had a list of them including the one from Viking. Found the one that matched my needs for less than $3.00 ea., sent description of it to Viking and asked what the difference was.Vikings response was that there wasnt any difference between them and either one would be perfectly good to solve the problem with my Viking microwave. I purchased over $25.00 worth of switches because I wanted free shipping. Also, this model has 4 switches behind the keypad and I was not sure if one or more switches were bad. They are ripping off consumers with their high prices for appliances built by Sharp and sticking their Viking name on them and selling their made in China switches for $22.00. If this is not illegal, it should be!??? Does Consumer Affairs look into things like this? Wish they did.

Viking has a great reputation. We were looking into fitting into our budget long-lasting appliances. The place we bought them from was having a deal at the time, and it included all three appliances for a great deal. However, had it not been in the middle of a pandemic, would have been a lot easier. But there were some delays and some confusion as to when appliances were going to be delivered. Some were delivered at times when we were told they werent going to be, so our contractor wasnt prepared. But I love how heavy-duty it is. We had an incident where we needed to replace a part, and it came quickly and within the warranty. The Viking refrigerator looks great.

I wanted a good quality commercial-grade range that I could count on. I’ve been familiar with Viking for quite some time. The dealer we had was very professional. I had been to another dealer that was less than desirable to the point that I was almost insulted that they never even acknowledged that my wife and I were there. I researched and found the Athens Refrigeration. When we walked in the store, it was completely different. They were very patient and informative. They spent all the time that we needed and they would have spent more had I needed it.We bought an electric French door Viking oven and a range with the gas. We converted to gas when we made the change. We’re liking the gas more than the electric. We haven’t had our range long but so far I’m pleased with it. I also plan to visit the Viking store. I’ve been there before in Greenwood and the cooking school.

From the time I bought 2 top-of-the-line Viking dishwashers, I have had problems. I am noticing that most people in this room experienced similar laissez-faire attitude from Viking who must have bounced me from one representative to another a good 5 times over the years, only to tell me that my warranty ran out. One lady tried to help me but was swiftly replaced and I never got the attention this needed. $4500 spent and most wash (all of them) end with error/fault codes and need resetting.This message, I hope, will discourage people from being lured into believing that Viking is a stand up company and that they place good emphasis on making sure the client is taken care of. Additionally, where I think they really should rethink the way they treat clients, is that in my case, I am looking to replace refrigerator, freezer and 60 inch cooking surface. They will be missing out on this (however small) amount of revenues. If anyone gets thru to management or customer service for any kind of help, I would like to know about it as I am not yet able to replace it for a competitor and would still like Viking to make me whole on this bad purchase.

I’m in the food business and all of my big appliances in my stores are Viking. I heard about them from PC Richard, and the quality of their range is good. The microwaves blower, however, does not have enough power to it, so it brings the smoke out when you are cooking around the house. It does not have the exhaust. Its not that great. Nevertheless, the Viking range, even at home, cooks food better.

I wanted the French doors on top and the drawer at the bottom. That month, Viking came out with a new model but it did not have the water dispenser either inside or on the door and that was something I was looking for because everywhere that I did research on, the word was that there was a glitch with every refrigerator that has either a water dispenser inside or outside and you always have to buy the filter. I thought that was a hassle so I was pleased that Viking came out with a model that didnt have that. It was also a good made on their part because the one they had before the new model had an internal water dispenser and I dont drink cold water. I like either tepid or hot water so this refrigerator was made for my needs. It was perfect. But the crisper drawers would ice up and there would be big chunks of ice there. They wouldnt thaw out so I would have to go at it with an ice pick. Viking brought a technician over to try and fix it but he said he couldnt do a fix. He said the refrigerator was a lemon. He worked on other refrigerators of Viking and they were fine. Mine was the only model where the defrost wasnt working. But they couldnt repair it so they swapped it out with a new refrigerator. And I love the meat drawer of the new refrigerator. It keeps the meats colder so that it lasts a little longer. If I dont use the meat thats in there for three days, it would still be okay. I also like the freezer drawer. The fridge I had before I remodeled my kitchen was a side by side door. By then side by side refrigerators were not that well made because all the refrigerator manufacturers were moving toward the French doors with the drawer freezer. Some people say that one of the problems is when you have the drawer that pulls out, youre always fishing for space. But I find that I didnt have to do that because within the freezer, theres two pull out and one at the bottom. I can always see whats there which is nice. And then all of the freezer baskets that pull out, theyre all wire baskets and not solid panels so the frozen food gets frozen hard.I also like the fact that the lighting is in the front. In the Hotpoint refrigerator we had before we remodeled, the light is in the back of the refrigerator. So if I have any item thats tall enough, itll block the lights and I dont get the light in the front. But with Viking, they put the light in the front and the lighting is good. I can see everything so Im impressed with that, too. So overall, I like the layout and the one that I bought was counter depth which is nice too. The Hotpoint refrigerator that we had stuck way out in front of the cabinet so everyone is always bumping into it. So now being counter depth, theres enough room in the inside, too. Its a little bigger than my Hotpoint but efficiency-wise, its all around so much better.The delivery person had to deliver and install it and he was very conscientious about not marring the parquet hardwood floors and all of the other stuff. They made sure before he left that everything was up and running very well. I was impressed with the installer they hired as well. They didnt cut corner on service and didnt corner on the refrigerator which is nice. But Im most impressed with the Viking service. Usually, companies dont replace defective products. They keep sending a technician once a month to try to mess with it. Viking couldnt repair the fridge so they swapped it out with a new refrigerator and Im pleased with the decision. I never had that before so that was quite a statement as to how well Viking stand behind their product.

All of our appliances are Viking, which is a high-end brand. But I guess Viking is new with refrigeration. The quality of the refrigerator we got from them has been horrible. It does not hold the temperature. It freezes everything that its not supposed to freeze in the actual refrigerator side of it and its very loud when it makes ice. It doesnt have any special feature other than a normal refrigerator. It doesnt even have the water feature. So were having some very big issues with it and would never buy a Viking again. But when we had a couple of other issues with the refrigerator not having some proper framing, the team members at the Viking dealer have been very good to work with and have shown up on time.

We remodeled our kitchen and we liked the quality that Viking Ranges seemed to have. Moreover, it seemed like a very good product. The salespeople in the store really helped us as well. We were in between Wolf and Viking, so they explained to us a few of the things that were going on with Viking at the time. They told us that in the past, Viking did not have such good reviews as far as their home appliances and that theyve come through the last couple of years and changed some things in the way they deal with things. Plus, they had a nice rebate going on at the time. Ive gotten to use the range quite a bit and Im very happy with it. Its heavy and sturdy, which are the greatest things about it. However, you have to make sure that you get a good exhaust fan. With the kind that we purchased, you have to get a separate fan. Also, we purchased the range in October and we had it installed in January, but we still have not received our rebate.

I purchased a food truck with a 4-burner center griddle stove. At first I thought what a great deal. I made just looking at the value of the stove alone, not. Its been a nightmare from day one. Two knobs were broken off and cost $175.00 to replace each without installation. When I read the instructions, it said no guarantee unless installed by a certified repairman. The gas grill ignites constantly clicking drives you nutty. This product is way overpriced for my type of business. All I really need is a good old fashion Kenmore or any type non-commercial stove. This is like owning an European auto with services changes out the wazoo.

I got a range, a dishwasher, a microwave, and a refrigerator from Viking. But Im not happy with any of them. I had a problem with the burners of the range. Its really easy to move the igniter if youre cleaning it and when you take the ring off. But if you move the igniter too close, it wont ignite. You have to bend it back into place. I had to bend it back in place initially to get it to work. Also, the finish on the grills that come with it on the top came off on it in four months. I called Viking and figured they would send me a new one. But they said it was not covered and that it was cosmetic. These things are supposed to be pretty sweet. In general, I’m super disappointed in the fact that it’s 10 grand on a package and I’m not happy with any of the units.

We were deciding on Wolf and Viking, but we chose Viking because of the reputation, quality, and the offers they put in there at Best Buy. Those made it easy for us to make a decision. The sales reps were very great and knowledgeable. They knew what they were doing and gave us so much options. I love the range. However, Ive never used the griddle yet because I need to clean first and make it shiny but there were still some residue coming up. Other than that, anybody can go closing their eyes and they can buy the Viking. Its very good quality-wise.

We purchased a house that had a Viking refrigerator and we didn’t realize the value of the appliance. When it broke and wasn’t cooling in the freezer, we looked and it cost $9,000 to replace, which was a shock. I would never buy a $9,000 refrigerator unless it was to match one that broke and it wouldnt have been my first choice by any means. I don’t think I wouldve ever bought a Viking appliance on purpose. Plus, theres nothing better about the refrigerator and its small for its size. We called a tech from Johnson Service last October and somebody came out. He said that it needed either an inverter or a compressor. One was gonna be 600 bucks and the other one could cost a couple of thousand dollars. Then he took off and we didn’t hear anything from anybody for a couple of months. We would call and ask if somebody was gonna come here and fix our fridge and they would say that they were still waiting on a part. That went on for a couple of weeks. We went through Thanksgiving and Christmas without a refrigerator. We were calling them once a week to ask for an update. They said that the refrigerator was an expired model that Viking doesnt make anymore and that they had to make a whole new kit for the refrigerator, which was what was taking time.Finally, after Christmas, I called Viking directly and asked what the heck was going on. The lady said that that was the first she had heard about it, even though they were the ones that had initially referred me to call Johnson Service. The lady was helpful though. She got on the phone and started making calls to Johnson herself. The next day, I got a call from Johnson and they said that Viking freed up one of the parts needed and that they would be able to get over here in a couple of days to fix the refrigerator. A couple of days went by, but we still hadnt heard from them. Then finally, a week or so later, we got it fixed. It took 10 weeks to get the refrigerator fixed and we didnt get a deal. It still cost $650 to fix it. It was an awful experience. I would never deal with the refrigerator again. I would work with local stuff that I can get people to fix easier.

Between a Viking and a Wolf, we like the idea of having the microwave above. The Viking range comes with a microwave and so we went through a dealer and got one. The only thing that I dont like is that the stovetop is very hard to keep clean. Its got a shininess, and so it always seems like its very hard to clean. Other than that, the quality is great. I like how quickly it heats everything up. The water boils quicker and the oven bakes a lot nicer and more even.

Ive had my Viking Range for two years now and Im having something repaired. Its not working well and the range is all rusted on the inside and out including the top but their customer service was very helpful and nice.

The quality of the Viking Range is fine. However, the oven doesn’t cook evenly. It’s also very small. The square footage inside of the oven is very small compared to my old GE, in my old apartment that I loved. It’s cooking thoroughly but its not even. So, if I’m going to bake cookies, I have to turn the tray around to get the back. Moreover, the knobs to turn on the oven and the stove get very, very, very hot when the oven is on. But the door closes fine. There’s nothing wrong with the unit. But I probably wouldnt buy it again. On the other hand, I had to call and have the Viking people come out a couple of weeks ago and they were really helpful. And then, the check was even lovelier, so their customer service is great.

Our Viking refrigerator is spacious and the shelves are usable. I use the temperature control a lot. My only issue with it is the ice tray location. If it self-fills too much and you pull open the drawer, a lot of the ice fall to the back and go down the floor. But overall, its a great refrigerator.

Bought Viking double oven, cooktop and dishwasher March, 2018. After opening the items, the oven and the dishwasher were damaged. They were heavily damaged with dents so deep that there were holes. After weeks of complaints, numerous talk with customer service rep, I am still nowhere. About a month ago, I was finally granted a replacement for both of them. (Even though the entire time, so, the last 4 months I was told that the parts are arriving).Now, today, Sept, 5, I decided to call and make an official complaint against Viking dept handling my case. A person called TONY, said he could help. After he realized that I want to file a complaint, he started avoiding the issue. I asked for a supervisor and these were his answers: none is available, they are all in a meeting. I could hear laughter in the background. He started mocking me as well. I asked for an email of any supervisor and he said that he is not authorized to give out their emails!!! I still cannot believe the disrespect shown towards a customer. Complete lack of professionalism as well. If I had known that this is going to happen, I would have never bought Viking. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING VIKING RANGE.

I’ve known about Viking Refrigerators for years and I purchased from them because of the warranty. I’m happy overall with the fridge, but I expected a little better quality of the drawer pull-outs and the freezer. They’re kind of flimsy. Also, during the purchasing process, I had a horrible experience as it took forever to get the fridge purchased. It was not a streamlined process. And when we were having this horrendous noise, we ended up having to go back to the store two or three times before they would finally send somebody out. It turned out that their delivery people left a big cardboard in the back which was causing the problems. All we had to do was remove it. I also wish the fridge had a water dispenser.

Ive had the range for less than a year and there were all these things wrong with it. We had to have the repair people out. I purchased it through Abt and they did not have a repair person out for six weeks. I was without a stove over Thanksgiving and up to about a week before Christmas. I was not happy. Abt said those stoves are solid. But theyre not reliable quality machines. Im very upset with the whole thing. Now we purchased a Viking convection, that we cooked a little bit. But its not the same. So Im not happy with it. I would appreciate a call from Viking. I should be given some kind of five-year warranty on this because I dont know whats going to happen. I dont trust the machine.

Weve had Viking in the past and the Viking refrigerator was in the house when we bought it. It was a new Viking, so we registered it. Its probably the model that was chosen, but to not be able to have water in the door is difficult. When I open the door and want to pull out that longer middle drawer, I cant without opening both doors. And if I want to pull out the right side drawer, I cant do that either without opening the door. Theres nothing I can do about the shelving or the way the drawers is pulled out. So, it isnt really all that convenient. We cook all the time and its difficult to arrange the refrigerator. A Sub-Zero is a better refrigerator for us.Also, were used to having a gas range, so Im not familiar with having electric. The rangetop doesn’t heat quickly and when I turn it off, it doesn’t turn off quickly either. So, its really a challenge to get it figured out on how long do I cook something. And the oven, too. It’s not calibrated properly. So what I normally would cook in 20 minutes takes closer to 30 minutes. I would not recommend Viking to a friend. The dishwasher is the same thing. Those are expensive appliances and I am not that thrilled with any of them.

We have known for years that Viking a quality appliance, and we chose to go with them because of the name recognition. We also wanted a good quality product. However, there have been some hiccups. One of the refrigerator doors was damaged during the installation. It was installed a couple of weeks before we moved in, and that was when I notified them right away. They came to replace it in about three to four weeks after we moved in. And so, a new one was ordered, but the new one was worse than the one we had on, so we are still waiting on that. A couple of weeks back, I opened the refrigerator door and one of the parts, the locking mechanism to make sure that it does not open all the way broke off. I did not slam it open. It is like a cast metal part, so Im thinking that there had to be a crack or something in there. Fortunately, it is covered under warranty, but if it had not been, that would have been a very disappointing month and a half usage.I did my research, kind of on my own. We were to go through Builders Supply warehouse. Their prices were extremely marked up compared to what I could go get it from Pacific Sales. I had to show them documentation about the rebates and things that were going on, and I was willing to just buy the appliances myself and have them installed after the house was done. But the builder did not want that. So, basically, I was stuck at having to pay thousands more for the same product. That was frustrating. In the initial installation, they had one gentleman and his son installing it. I think that was very poor planning because that was a $10,000 refrigerator that was wobbling and coming off the trailer. He was also struggling to get it off the trailer, It was not enclosed, so it was open to the elements, and that was a little disheartening. I think that their installation should have shown a little more pride of ownership.

I like the space of my Viking refrigerator. it’s big enough and I also like the lights. There are a lot of drawers, and it’s wide enough for a big tray, and for a box of pizza. And if you have a cake or something, it will fit. The people at the Viking dealership were also courteous and on time. Any question I have, they answer. Michael made it very easy to buy it and to deliver it.

We had purchased a Viking range and dishwasher about four years ago. We had a commercial refrigerator but didn’t know that Viking had refrigeration at that time. We got rid of the commercial one and I looked up Viking and found this refrigerator. I love the lighting in the refrigerator. Ive also never had a freezer on the bottom. I don’t get into the freezer nearly as much as the refrigerator so I love that feature because I dont have to bend down to get into a crisper. The space in it is amazing. Ive had the side-by-side where the freezer is on one side and the refrigerator is on the other and theyre just wasted space. This French door is very easy to clean, too. I take a soft-butt towel and use a microfiber towel to dry it and Ive got the surface cleaned in two minutes. We had been with Sears for years for our appliances. Weve been in our house for 24 years so this is our second round of appliances now. We had 10 more brands and I wanted something on a higher end. It took me six months to pick something up because I read reviews and Viking had great ones. We decided to switch to Viking for our kitchen appliances just from appearance and reviews. The downside was there wasn’t a store near us where we could go in and put our hands on the product so we ordered through a store that was an hour drive from us. But, their customer service is great. The first dealer that we contacted was closer to us but they werent as willing to help us over the phone as far as measurements because we were going from an electric to a gas range. We ended up in the Silt. Their staff did all the measurements and how the gas line had to be in. He went above and beyond over the phone and worked with my husband on it. Then, they delivered, set up and tested everything. It was a good experience.

My experience with my Viking has been great so far. I enjoyed the guy who sold it to me at Finwood Appliances. Its so much better than KitchenAid for about the same price. I like the way it looks and it feels well-made. Ive had a stainless steel refrigerator before and I was constantly having to get fingerprints off. The Viking is better at not showing fingerprints. I also like the freezer and that there is no water dispenser because then I dont have water drips all over the front of my refrigerator. I just have a pitcher and I keep it in my refrigerator now for water. Thats cleaner.

I wanted a Viking range for decades, so every time I looked at commercial-type ranges, it was usually either Viking or Wolf. But, Viking has always been the commercial style range that I wanted, but I put it off for years and years because I wanted the double oven size with six burners. Then I realized that to get the one I wanted, it would involve remodeling half of my kitchen to make space for it. So, I finally decided that, instead of putting it off because of that, Im just going to get the 30-inch one, so it would fit into the existing space. And so I did and Im happy. I bought ours at Colders, a furniture store, and I worked with someone who specializes in Viking ranges. It is an authorized dealer.Ive always had electric ranges my whole life. And one of the things that I havent liked in the past about gas ranges is the gas oven. Id prefer an electric oven and a gas stovetop. And now that they make dual-fuel ranges that are the perfect answer for me. Also, I just like the ruggedness of it. The hole that you put the pots on, theyre like army tanks. Theyre big, heavy, iron grates that are just so well-built. And the whole thing is heavy-duty that can last a lifetime. I like the simplicity of it, too. The electric range that I replaced was all digital. It had all kinds of extra digital features that I never used. This one has mechanical knobs, and everything works perfectly.However, the caveat is theyre expensive. So, you really have to be dedicated to cooking. If they were cheaper, I would have bought two. You really have to want that kind of a range before you are willing to spend that much money. Other than that, from the performance and quality of the Viking, it is 5-star all the way. It would be my top recommendation for a commercial range.

I wanted to get a really good refrigerator that would last a long time. I know Vikings top of the line products and so weve purchased refrigerators from them. Our first one had a water dispenser on the inside of the door. When we tried using the dispenser it wouldnt work as the water line kept freezing up. We ended up getting another refrigerator but a different model without a water dispenser, which is what we really wanted. The second one worked fine and then it stopped making ice. A service guy came out five times, replaced the ice maker twice, replaced the track twice and he said the water line was fine but he couldnt understand why its not making ice. So hopefully, this third refrigerators a charm. I hope it stays working and it seems to be fine. It makes some weird noises sometimes. It probably has something to do with the water line and the connection for the ice maker. But other than that, its producing ice. So far, so good.

We went to Best Buy and we decided to buy a Viking refrigerator as I had heard that it was the best product in the market. Weve also had a Viking stove for 10 years. However, the refrigerator we got stopped working one day. It was not freezing. I called Viking and they sent me a company to do the service. They needed a part as there was something wrong with the motor. Now we’re still waiting for that part. So far, we havent had good experiences with the equipment we bought from Viking. The dishwasher we got was a problem also. Now I have to pay $500 because the motor went bad.

Like many of the reviews here, our Viking French Door fridge was a lemon and so is the new one that showed up after 6 months of service calls and spoiled food. I have now heard from a service person and the appliance delivery men that I am not alone in my issues, which are detailed by many other reviews here. I have wasted 16+ hours of my life talking to Viking and waiting for service calls. Not to mention the $100s of lost due to spoiled food from the freezing in the back of the fridge. The fact that ice spills out onto the floor every time I open the freezer is a design flaw I could have lived with, but this is unacceptable. Built my entire kitchen around this fridge and now I need to figure out how to replace it. Do yourself a favor - the reviews are true - dont buy this fridge. Viking knows its refrigerator is defective, but keep selling it.

I bought a house and it had an older Viking range and a Bosch dishwasher. I needed to replace my refrigerator so I wanted it to be Viking. I chose Viking because I wanted it to match the stove. Besides, Bosch did not have as good reviews as Viking. And I was a bit limited as I live in a very old house and it’s a standalone refrigerator. It’s not a built-in and there aren’t a lot of those high-end available and Viking had a nice one. So I purchased the refrigerator through Best Buy and they were very nice. They didnt have the refrigerator on the showroom floor and this guy named Ryan found it for me when I told him exactly what I needed. When I bought the French Door refrigerator, it was fine. I like the way it looks, as well as its lighting. But then it began making high-pitch tinging noise that was driving me crazy. I had an appliance guy come in to check it and I pointed it out and he took a video and told me that its no good. It was not the fan which a lot of people thought. The fan makes a fine sound. Almost a comforting sound. But this was a metal on metal and it was the condenser. They put me in touch with Viking and they sent out a technician and he put some sound deadening material on the condenser which has solved the problem. Thing is, it should be designed that way in the first place. Its silly. And also right there in the back of the fridge is a crazy piece of cardboard which doesn’t make any sense. It should be a metal panel. But overall, its a very nice fridge with a very good price. I would recommend Viking.

I’m fine with the Viking range. Its quality is good. It is well and it works. The Viking team was nice too. They got a recall item and sent it to me but come to find out, it was already on the unit when I got the recall item.

I like Vikings refrigerator and its use of space. But Im not crazy about the bottom drawer. Many times when I would open it, the sliding drawers would get stuck. The baskets would move and then everything would get crushed. But other than that, everythings good and I would recommend it.

The house that we bought came with Viking appliances. We like the appliances that we have, and they have pretty good quality. The refrigerator has pretty standard features. It’s a good refrigerator.

Purchased one three years ago and are currently on our 7th repair visit. Reached out to customer support and there is none. Our latest issue was with the heat pump. Just melted the wires. Checked and they had a recall but it started with models later than ours. This is truly a safety hazard. Not to mention we paid twice what you would normally pay for a dishwasher based on the name and reputation of Viking appliances. We totally regret that decision. No product support, no customer support, how embarrassing.

My family moved into a new home with nice-looking Viking appliances in the kitchen. We only experienced minor malfunction of the refrigerator in the 1st year. After 14 months, or about 7 weeks ago, the range knob that controls the range fan motor stopped working, and I contacted Viking warranty service a week later. A local authorized repair shop was quickly assigned the job and they determined they have to replace the knob, and they need to order it through Viking for that, in order to comply with Viking warranty policy. And I was told to wait about 3-4 days.A week later, I called the repair shop only to find out the knob is on back order, and I need to wait 2 more weeks. And 2 weeks later, it was still not invoiced through Viking parts, and now 6 weeks later, the range is still not repaired!!! And the shop has no idea/no control over when the part will come in. They also told me in one case, a customer had to wait a year and 2 months for some parts to come in! It had been very frustrating not having a working range in the kitchen! It is even more so to think Viking warranty service is so lousy and unreliable! I am so disappointed how long I have to wait (so far) for warranty service for a common appliance! If I have to pick new appliances, I will not pick Viking.

We have a 40-inch wide Viking refrigerator. I got it through a deal wherein I had to spend a certain amount and when I did, we also got a dishwasher for free. So far, the new fridge has been fine.

I knew what I wanted when I went to the store and I told the staff I was looking for a particular Viking range. The only thing was that they had to distinguish between a dual fuel and a non-dual fuel range. The Viking range is a great product and I like its gas top feature.

I guess I am not the only one with this problem as I read the comments!! Has anyone found a solution? I have had a repair man out here 3x and it keeps happening. The coils freeze, the floor of the freezer has a 1/2 inch frozen solid water and water leaks out onto my hardwood floors. If this is obviously a problem why are they not fixing them??????? I had a Subzero in my other home for 20 years and this never happened!!! So during this beautiful Sunday Im inside scraping ice and cleaning up water. Someone has to be accountable.

We’ve had a lot of Viking products in our time but never a refrigerator. So, I thought it was a good brand and we’d give it a shot. Also, I liked the way it looked. Ive had the refrigerator for a couple of months and Im very happy with its quality. I like the new LED lights and the French doors. The refrigerator is beautiful and it works well. Our previous refrigerator was a Sub-Zero, and Viking has more cubic feet of space than the Sub-Zero. The interactions with the Viking reps were fine. We bought it at Best Buy and had a helpful sales clerk there. We happen to hit a sale which also helped out. They provided delivery service and that was seamless. The guys carried the refrigerator in and placed it on the floor. They hooked up the icemaker, pushed it back in the hole, turned it on, and away they went.

I have Viking products in our previous house and I wanted some professional line. That is why my whole kitchen is Viking including the refrigerator. The refrigerator is cooling and it’s doing what it’s supposed to do. Its the only good Viking product I have. I have a dishwasher and a stove but thats a different story. I’m on my third dishwasher and on the second stove which has eight burners. They also have a good warranty.

We’ve always used high-end appliances and we have always used Viking. For the second house we purchased, the appliances came with it but with the first house, we purchased appliances and it was either Viking or Wolf, and we just went with Viking. The refrigerator is usually good. I also liked the size our refrigerator. We’re a little disappointed that it broke and to have a repair so quickly after moving in. The refrigerator stopped cooling, which is a pretty big thing for a high-end refrigerator. For appliances that are so expensive, we expect, number one, not to have as many necessary repairs as we have had in the past; and number two, we expect the experience to be more seamless when we do have that.

If anyone has any knowledge of how to start a class action suit, you can count me in. I have had this range for 5 years and it has been nothing but trouble. The broiler igniters initially didnt work and repairmen tried to fix it two times. It worked intermittently and when I called Viking about it again, they said the warranty had expired (even though it was a problem during the warranty period) and they would do nothing about it. Now, the burner for baking is malfunctioning causing explosions that burst open the door because it only partially ignites the gas. I cant believe what a piece of junk this is. Our repairman advised us that it would be a waste of time to replace the bake burner and door hinges (which dont hold the door tight to the frame because the springs cant support the weight of the door) because something else is going to go wrong. He said to buy a new oven.

I have a Viking freezer and a refrigerator and I haven’t been really pleased with either one of them. Ive had the refrigerator for eight years and it was the refrigerator of the home that I built. The problem Im having now is the coolant and there was some defrosting in it. The technicians had replaced it and tore this thing apart, but Viking sent them a defective part. When the technicians found out about it, they had already drained all the stuff out of the refrigerator and started putting it back together. The refrigerator has been down for a week now. We’ve been looking for parts for three months and it’s just not been a good thing. The refrigerator door doesn’t close right and the guy was trying to work on that too. The freezer seal has always been an issue as far as the white trim and we’ve replaced that a couple times. The refrigerator itself is fine, but as far as the room goes and the expenses, I’ve had a lot of difficulty with it and the freezer. Ive had the ice maker repaired and its been a terrible experience. I don’t think I’d buy another Viking. If someone asks me about them, Id tell them not to get a Viking.

We purchased high end appliances for several years for the different homes and construction projects that we’ve had. And though we haven’t purchased a Viking product before, it was always under consideration. We have a Canadian log home and the people that built it had put those contractor grade appliances in, and we wanted to replace them with high end appliances. We decided to go with Viking Professional. This was the first time we’ve purchased a Viking and they had this thing where I could buy a refrigerator and get a dishwasher. However, if we had to do it over again, I don’t think we would purchase the Viking because its not as good a quality as the Thermador that we’ve had or the Sub-Zero.I’ve got a column Thermador refrigerator and freezer in our other home and the seal on it is phenomenal. If I shut it and I reopen it right away, I can hardly even open it. The seal is so good. I also have a Frigidaire and sometimes I have a hard time opening it too. The seal is so good as well. The seal on the Viking unit, on the other hand, is not that good. When I opened it today, there was condensation on the outside of it and I had to wipe it off. We didn’t even have our air conditioning on and it was only 77 degrees outside. I do like the lower freezer but for a high end unit, I find that a little disconcerting. I think I needed a service call. There is something wrong and this is brand new. It’s even noisier than my Thermador. My Viking unit is the built-in type but I haven’t gotten the cabinet built around it yet, so I was hoping the unit would be quieter once the cabinet is built. We bought a Viking Refrigerator, a Viking built-in oven, a Viking microwave and the dishwasher. And I already had to call about the dishwasher because the bottom rack broke. It’s noisy and the top doesn’t glide in and out very well. A Viking representative came out and he said that is pretty much the way the Viking dishwashers work. Every one of them, you have to push really hard to get that top rack in. But my Thermador is not like that, so I would not recommend Viking. I hate to say that because I was really excited about it. When I run my Thermador dishwasher, I never know it’s on. But when I run my Viking dishwasher, I can hear it running. We paid a lot of money for it and I’m not happy with it at all.

DFSB423 - I feel much better reading the previous posts... Im glad its not just me. We have had the gaskets changed... $425.00 later, the freezer is still running and it must be defrosted every two or three days. The Authorized dealer has the customer service of a vampire and we are just tired of being sucked dry every few months. The new gaskets have done nothing to stop the freezer from running and Ill not spend another dollar until someone from VIKING CORPORATE address the issue.

I wanted all my products to match so I got a Viking fridge. However, I wish that it has an internal water source. It seems like a basic thing that all the other providers have that Viking does not. I saw that they have a unit that has that, but the one I bought didnt. There was a lot of back and forth with the dealer about it and there was a miscommunication. I was told that it had an interior water source and they may have said yes because they just misunderstood. So interacting with the dealer wasnt a really good experience. Also, I wish they would have contacted me to see how things were going during installation and after installation. I tried calling them but I wasnt getting through. I think that contributed to a lot of the miscommunication because they werent picking up the phone and contacting me directly. Furthermore, my freezers broken at the moment. In terms of getting assistance to help get things fixed, it was tricky. They contacted me but they werent able to fix it. They had to call a Viking service provider and they got out and the parts are on order now. If youre thinking of buying a refrigerator from Viking, look at a different company instead.

My range is perfect. There are no scratches or dings when it was delivered. The fridge arrived and was completely beautiful on the exterior, but on the interior, all the shelves were smashed and ripped out so I had it replaced. Now, Im waiting a door on the new one and a door for the dishwasher because they were both damaged in transit. Its unfortunate. But as far as how they worked, theyre wonderful.

Ive had a Viking stove for the past 10 years and I was pretty pleased with the product. And I bought a Viking dishwasher because my old dishwasher, that was approximately over 20 years old, went. So, when my built-in refrigerator went as well, I got a Viking refrigerator because I said, Im just gonna get a Viking. Everything else is Viking. I got my Viking refrigerator through P. C. Richard. In fact, I bought pretty much all my appliances through them and theyve been pretty good.I love my Viking refrigerator. Its roomy and holds a lot. So far, its a great product, so Im happy. I like the fact that the lighting is wonderful. You can see everything thats in it. In addition, I like the way that they have the drawers stacked. I have extra room to put other things in that I couldnt do with my other refrigerator because I had a side-by-side refrigerator then. So, if I had a wide tray, I could never fit it in that other refrigerator. But this one holds everything beautifully. The freezer is a little small, though. It holds a little less than my other refrigerator did but thats okay.

In the last month (September 2018), I have had three door containers fall off the door and shatter on the floor when I opened the refrigerator. All three door containers broke about one week apart. In addition, my cold storage drawer handle broke (plastic). What is going on with these components? Has anyone else experienced failure. This refrigerator was purchased in 2012, along with five other stainless Viking appliances. No problems with them. Viking says there is no recall and my warranty has expired. I would Viking to step up to the plate and assist. These are solid pieces that have appeared to fracture after six years of use. I would expect other things to malfunction but not solid plastic pieces.

I walked into the store and went through different refrigerators but we kept the Viking model. The icemaker is broken and I want it repaired but apart from that, theres nothing I dont like about it.

We had dinner with my sister and brother-in-law who have a Viking range. I got to cook on the range and I liked it. We saw an ad for the closeout on the stove at a local appliance dealer. We got the last Viking appliance that they had there. The range was sold to me at $1000 on the list. It’s a great cooking appliance and I love the heat control on it.

My experience with the refrigerator purchased from Viking has been a huge disappointment. Since my purchase I have had over 15 service calls on my frig. Although Ive contacted Viking to express my frustration, the best I get from their service department---- is well nothing! Since my warranty has expired they no longer care that the product is defective. I wanted to send the service records to show that we have had problems day one but they refused. You would think that an 8,000 dollar refrigerator would have been built better---not the case. I will never buy another Viking product!

I used to have a Viking oven so I trusted Viking and that was why I bought the Viking range. My husband ordered it and everything was smooth. The range is a great product but the stove-top is heavy. I clean it after I cook but once I touch the water on that, it gets rusted easily. But that’s the only thing I don’t like. If I purchase the next one, I’m going to buy something thats easy to take care of.

We wanted to redo our kitchen and we’ve known Viking for years. My husband wanted them and Viking was the only one who had the French Oven Doors which I wanted. I have used the oven, the refrigerator, the microwave and the ice maker. Our other refrigerator was so deep that you were constantly digging for stuff. The Viking ref is less deep, tall and I can see what’s there when I open the door. We bought it in Best Buy since we live in Hawaii and we were very limited on where we could go for certain things. It did not go well because it took us four hours to order when we already had all the model numbers. They worked with us but it wasn’t a pleasant experience. Nevertheless, weve been really pleased with what weve got and we’re happy.

Our Viking range is an older one and has got black porcelain. I dont like that and I rather it be all stainless. Weve gotten some things replaced on it such as the black cover on the range top. Right now, the door springs are broken and the techs are coming tomorrow to fix them. It took way too long to order the parts. I called in June and I still dont have an oven. I have the professional series and I thought it would have been bigger. But I got just a regular sized cookie sheet and it almost scraped the walls of the oven because of the way they have the handles on the edges. I have to get rid of that now and get smaller ones.

Our order, which was installed in Dec. 2016, included a 7 series propane cook top, 5 series oven, 3 series upgrade dish washer, 48 side by side refrigerator, and 950 cfm downdraft vent system. The washer has been the most disappointing appliance of the lot. It has less capacity inside than our previous Kenmore washer and weve had to replace the racks due to a binding problem. There is also an intermittent problem with the control panel on the washer. On the cook top, the small burner does not light reliably and the design of the cook top makes cleanup a real chore after every use. The performance of the cook top, oven, and refrigerator is great other than the problems mentioned.

I currently have a Viking Refrigerator that is still under warranty but paid full price to have it repaired. Viking will only cover repairs performed by their authorized center, and that repair company is NOT trustworthy. Ive had to repair both our Viking convection oven and refrigerator in the past 7 years, whereas Our old (much less expensive) GE appliances are still working perfectly after 20 years. I will not be purchasing any Viking products again. Shame on Viking.

I own a heat and air company so we work on these refrigerator units and Viking is a middle-grade nice refrigerator. Then other brands, like Sub-Zero, have two pieces of refrigeration. They have a separate unit for a freezer. So I chose Viking. Besides, the floor-plan price for this unit was $7,500. I was going there thinking I was gonna spend about $17,000. But I bought this from Plugs and although this one is normally $12,000, the guy there said he would sell it to me for 7,500 bucks. I told him I didnt want a year-old model. I wanted to have a new one and he said that it was a brand new model. But I later found out that it was a year- or two-year-old unit sitting on the floor. The way it was sold to me is my only problem. But as far as the unit itself, it’s fine. I like everything about it.When we had a water leak problem, I had my son go look at it and it was bad water inlet valve. It was no big deal. But when I called the factory, they said that it was not under warranty. I told them that it was though. It was brand new and it had not been in the house for four weeks at the time. It took three months but I finally got a water inlet valve. The salesman from Plugs got involved with his Viking representative so he got it for me. However, if I have a problem tomorrow, what’s gonna happen with my warranty? I gotta call that dude back now at Plugs and ask about that. But now, I’m having a problem with everything freezing on the front shelf. It’s just on the top shelf though, where the air blows out of the evaporator. And they have a fix and it doesn’t cost me anything. I recently found out Viking actually makes a piece of duct, that I just need to call in the factory to get.

Viking stove should be recalled. Since the first use, we have been having the same problems all of the other people have been having with the stove. It should be recalled because it is a danger to use. Our oven gets so hot that it has melted the stove wires and control box. It has warped our oven door so it doesnt shut all the way, and the heat reflector (not sure if this is correct name) in the bottom of the oven is cracked and buckled. The oven gets so hot that if you touch the outside of it, you will get burned. The oven also fills up with gas and makes a popping sound or just blows the door right open! It scares me with my children if the oven is on. They can get burnt or hurt with the door blowing open. Also, because of the intense heat and the wires melting, the left side of the stove doesnt work.

I have used Vikings many times in many homes in the past. I liked the way it functions, and it cooked even. I liked the way it looks, too. It is built well. The range tops and the ranges seem sturdy. I had a conversation with the regional Viking manager. Her name is Sue, local in Sonoma or Marin County. She was very helpful and very compassionate about our issues. As a result, she sent out a second technician to try to troubleshoot what we felt was the problem. They kept insisting that this was just how the Viking refrigerator sounded and sort of that was that.It would be nice if the knobs didn’t stick out so far on the rim. There is about a 4-inch piece of metal on the top that sticks out, so, aesthetically, it would be nicer if it fit back into the counter depth. Also, it would be nice if they manufactured some sort of a piece out of the stainless steel to go with the oven that fits in the crack behind the oven. I know that these ranges don’t all flushed to the wall because you have to have enough room for the plug to go into the outlet and enough room to attach the gas hose. So, it forces the range to stick out even a little further, then it creates a one to two inches behind where you are cooking. So, things can spill or splatter or go down in that hole. I could not get any help from anybody on that. We had to make something ourselves. They have a thing that they put underneath the front of the range to cover the gap where the legs are. They made something for that.

We were looking for a counter-depth refrigerator and we found an available model from Viking. The quality is good and I like the general design but I do have a problem with it right now. The ice maker isnt working. I havent had the time to try to troubleshoot it and I dont know what I should do next exactly.

Fridge is leaking water on to the floor after 4 years. Authorized service tech didnt find anything wrong but changed thermostat just in case was the problem. Fridge still leaks. YouTube videos show it is likely a clogged drain line. After taking apart fridge we can see the evaporation tray is completely dry, yet water is leaking on floor. Why didnt tech even check this??? Seems pointless to call tech back since he was so clueless but we dont know how to fix it. Also the shelves broke too easily.

We chose the Viking range for the BTU that it is putting out. Ive also heard that they are very long-lasting. They professional ranges compared with our standard ranges. I love everything about it. I love the broil temperature that they have in their oven. I love their racks because it slides out, while with other brands, it doesnt. If they like to cook a lot at home, Id definitely suggest picking a Viking over anything else out there if you like to cook at home.

Ive been a homeowner for a lot of years and Ive always seen and known about Viking Ranges. Theyre lovely, a dream come true and everybody wants one. We have an appliance store down the street and when we went down there to look for dishwashers, they were running a special where if we bought a range, wed get a dishwasher for free. So, we just dove in, bit the bullet and got it. Weve dealt with the fellow there several times and hes always been great with us. Weve had to purchase items over the years and we always go back to him. He had a floor model of this particular range and he said that it was a great product, so thats what we went with. Everything was great and it worked out really well. Viking speaks for itself and you cant go wrong with it. Its a beautiful piece of appliance and I love it. Its a statement piece when you walk into the kitchen.

I read all the reviews I could and while most were positive, there were a few negative. The negatives gave me a little concern but I had to believe that a quality brand like Viking wouldn’t make a bad product so I went ahead and bought one. It is a great product! I’m so happy with it! It’s not noisy like some reviewers said. It dries just fine unlike some reviewers said. I have to deduct that some people either had defective units or they are chronic complainers. My unit works great and I am very happy with it!

We were looking for a 48-inch gas range and the two choices on the market from the decent ones were a Wolf and a Viking. So I did the whole digging and Viking had a better reputation in the past, but it still has a good one right now. The oven was the main seller and once we decided to get that, the rest of the appliances followed. I found Viking on Frederick’s Appliances on Amazon initially and I ended up buying all my Viking directly there. They had better prices than all the stores. We like them so much and the griddle is my favorite feature by far. Viking Ranges has really good quality. However, weve had some trouble with our smaller compartment in Viking. It doesn’t work perfectly sometimes and weve had technicians coming over but it’s mostly being blamed on the altitude. We’re at 7,000 ft. We hardly ever use it, so I haven’t called them back. But everything else works perfectly. All in all, Viking has great products and great service.

Problem with freezer basket falling off and freezer light was blown. Scheduled a appointment, and the technician said he would need to come back to repair. The basket was repaired but not the light. It’s been weeks and no one ever called back. Fortunately for me the light eventually came back on.

I purchased all top-of-the-line Viking appliances for my recently renovated kitchen. Unfortunately, my 48 refrigerator with ice/water dispenser in the door has never functioned. The ice dispenser freezes-up and will not rotate to dispense the ice. Viking and Hadco (the local distributor) sent Mr. Appliance to get it working on six separate occasions, but they could not determine why it freezes-up. Now Hadco and Viking have been discussing the issue for the past 4 months. I simply want it removed from my kitchen and my money returned! I do not recommend a Viking refrigerator especially when the manufacturer and distributor cannot simply replace my $10k refrigerator lemon with one that works!

Weve had a couple of Viking Ranges before from friends and family and we decided to purchase with them once again. The new range I got from them has been excellent and I really like the wine rack that came with it.

We remodeled our apartment a few years ago with a new kitchen. I wanted to use all American made appliances and purchased Viking products to include: Oven, stove top, microwave and refrigerator. I have had issues with all the appliances and most have been resolved but my refrigerator ice maker remains unrepairable. The refrigerator is no longer under warranty but I have tried for years to have the ice maker repaired at different times. It will work for a very short duration and then will build up ice and the whole refrigerator needs to be defrosted and a part needs to be replaced. Here are some of my out of pocket costs: 5/7/18 $89.95, 2/6/18 $142.70, 11/8/16 $256.00, 10/26/16 $59.95.Viking initially was receptive to trying to help me resolve this issue but of late I received this email. I was told we unfortunately cannot issue another warranty authorization for you but to contact Appliance Pros since the part is still covered for a year after installed by authorized service company. The repair technician can no longer fix my appliance as in his opinion, the ice maker is a lemon. He is the owner of Appliance Pros which has been on Vikings approved vendor list and he has serviced it since the problems began. Now I am left with a very expensive refrigerator that cant make ice (in Florida) and I have no recourse. I would not recommend that anyone buy Viking products! They should be replacing the refrigerator given all we have dealt with and the amount of money we spent on their products and make good on their lemon refrigerator.

Ive always heard Viking was the best and Im happy with my Viking fridge. But Ive had to have it serviced a few times already. The fans inside keep freezing up. Ive had to have all the warranty work done twice already and I don’t even think Ive been in this house three years yet. The first time they came out, they had to replace the fans and the second time, all of them were frozen up. But the tech was able to service the fans and got it working again. Im also happy with the customer service that the guy that I bought the appliances from is giving me. He puts me right on top of the list, takes care of me and keeps me up and running again. It is a little bit of a disappointment. I paid almost $18,000 but the guys from Certified Appliance were good.

I purchased our Viking Refrigerator Model DFSB423D 48 side by side in 2005 and have had nothing but problems since 2006. Ice maker stopped working, tray at bottom fills, etc. Ice maker was replaced and its still having problems. After a year of services, Viking has said that the seal is unrepairable. They have offered us 50% off a new unit. So, we will be out of pocket $4800 for a refrigerator we dont even want. They need to replace the unit with no cost to us. There is a lemon law for appliances. How come no one has hired an attorney or started a class action? We are sending our final letter. We will wait for a response and then if the response is unacceptable, we will be hiring an attorney. Join us!

We have been very disappointed from the first days when we purchased our full Viking appliance kitchen. The lettering and markings on the stovetop disappeared in four months and the wall oven light switch was done in 1 year. The refrigerator door hinge broke in a year and a half and now the oven door doesnt close correctly. We are moving on to another brand.

The house that I have has a Viking stove. I thought I should get a Viking refrigerator to have a matching brand name. However, this is the worst purchase experience I have ever had in my life. The refrigerator itself is quite heavy. I oversaw the unloading and the product being brought into my house. The man unpacked it, set it up, and the door would not stay closed. He tried a number of times. I asked the installer to report the issue to Best Buy where I bought my product. He did then I made a follow-up call. They told me they were sending a second Viking refrigerator. Both refrigerators were unpacked here in front of me. I have no doubt that they were brand-new products. The second refrigerator was not cooling. I went in-person this time and asked to speak to the store manager. I had to wait some minutes and thats understandable with all of the horrible problems with this Coronavirus stuff. I told him the refrigerator was not cooling. He sent down someone and again, nothing. I almost wanted to ask him to please bring back my JennAir which was perfectly fine but it was old. He said he was not gonna send another refrigerator. He is the rudest human being I have ever dealt with. I looked up an appliance service center and I ought not to be having to do that on a brand-new, very pricey refrigerator at over $11,000. I dont buy cheap because I want to buy good. The issue was there was not enough refrigerant which was a fairly easy issue to resolve. But I had to call an appliance repair person myself and I had to pay money myself on a brand new refrigerator. I wont ever recommended a Viking refrigerator. Im more than very dissatisfied. I would never buy a Viking pencil if Viking sold pencils. I wont ever deal with anybody having anything to do with Viking.

I bought the Viking range. I thought they actually could be sturdier or more solid than they actually are. Also, when you buy the products within the instruction manual, you get that piece of paper that you’re going to fill in and send back to Viking. It’s for the warranty so it gets registered. Four of them came back, return to sender, which I found very strange that they were preprinted Viking pieces of paper. All you have to do is put your name and address in front of them and put in the mail, and yet they all came back. I didnt call because I figured, I bought them from Pacific Sales and they had the information regarding them, so the warranty would be through them. I didn’t really think twice about it. And then, I managed to register some of them online, but then, I think two of the products weren’t even online to be able to register, which I thought was a little strange too. You need some ways where you feel confident about it the warranty process. Even so, Viking Ranges has been pretty good.

Im a general building contractor, so I research every refrigeration system I can find. I had an existing cutout where I had a Sub-Zero refrigerator from years past and the Viking box size was almost identical to the Sub-Zero that I removed. So far I like it very much. It keeps everything cold and crisp the way its supposed to, and its exact in the areas that its supposed to be and in the areas that its not supposed to be that way. Its an intelligent machine. I especially like the icemaker and the pizza box shelf at the bottom. Their products are good and as advertised. For the price and performance, Viking would be my number one suggestion.

Dishwasher 1: The on-off switch has failed 4 times! The first time was covered under warranty. The exact same problem kept occurring after the warranty expired. It was obviously defective from the beginning. After paying for the repair twice, Viking agreed to cover the part but I had to pay for labor again. Dishwasher 2: Leaked and needed a $350 repair in less than 4 years!I live in a major city and very few service companies service Viking. Appointments take weeks to schedule and parts are not stocked locally. Hence, I have waited up to 6 weeks for repairs by the time they come to diagnose the problem, order the parts and then come back to install. BTW, the Viking customer support people are friendly but are not able/authorized to do anything to accommodate on issues or expedite the process. I like my Viking gas cook top, double oven and microwave (have had Viking in 4 houses now), but I will NEVER buy anything Viking again.

Ive had the range for over a year and the only issue I’m having is servicing for things. It’s been making some noises and banging, and some of the dials aren’t adjusted. I called a couple of times and sent in a couple of requests, but I couldnt get anybody in my area. Im in Edgewater, and apparently, theres nobody that services any part. So thats going to be worrisome.

We had a Viking range in our previous home and then we moved and we updated our kitchen. We wanted the same appliances that we had in the other home because we liked them. We got the range, the hood, and a dishwasher. The leads broke but they sent somebody out for free within a couple of days to fix it. It was all covered. I was very happy with it and everything has been perfect since the tech came out.

We had a Viking in our town home a number of years ago. We decided to buy from them because of their reputation and the fact that we like having the range with glass. The range has been awesome. It’s bigger and it’s a great brand. I would recommend it.

Im having so many issues with Viking. I’m very mad about it and I have a huge regret right now. The repairman came last week to work on the large oven and the range because they quit working. In addition to that, it took them forever to get the parts in. And when I called them with an issue such as my $30,000 appliances not working, they would act as if you’re bothering them and the customer service is rude. I’ve also had a repairman at my house to work on my Viking refrigerator four times.

We were doing a total renovation and I looked at a variety of options. I like that overall the Viking had the features I was looking for. Im looking for the long-range sort of usage of it and its value holding up including some point reselling the home and whatever. We really liked the double oven feature part of the range. One time, we had a problem where a light would not turn off in one of the switches. They had somebody come out and troubleshoot it. It took them a while to figure out what was going on with that but they were very good about getting right back to us and servicing that. And it is under warranty. But even so, I felt like in any event, they would have addressed whatever the issues were. So far, weve had an excellent experience with them.

I’m a huge Minnesota Vikings fan. So, I wanted my kitchen to represent my football preference. And I love my Viking refrigerator. My favorite feature is the free-standing, professional counter depth. You don’t get that a lot with the other brands. Overall, my experience with Viking has been great.

I heard good things about Viking Ranges. Their price was reasonable, too, so I bought one. I live in San Luis Obispo County and I couldn’t get it delivered to my home. So I had to pick it up myself. I have it for less than a month now and so far, the quality is good. I had another stove that had every bells and whistles on it and everything was breaking on that. I like the fact that my Viking doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles. I spent that kind of money on a stove and I didn’t want things to be breaking all the time.

Second failing of self cleaning feature on a dual gas/electric Viking Range that I bought specifically so that I could have gas plus electric self cleaning. The range is 11 years old and Ive infrequently used the self cleaning, perhaps 7 times at the most. First repair in 2009 cost $700 and now it is broken again. At this rate, self cleaning is costing $100+ per use. When I complained the first time about the outrageous repair cost to Viking, they figuratively shrugged their shoulders. I have another complaint in again. I would not recommend this range in particular and I would be hesitant to buy any Viking appliance without careful review.

I like to cook a lot and I chose Viking because of their reputation for quality. It’s very well-made and its going to last a long time. I like the burners and the heftiness of them. The six burners and the full-sized oven were perfect for Thanksgiving dinner. The convection oven definitely cuts down on cooking time. Having the higher BTU burners cooks everything a lot faster. Things boil faster. The ability to maintain a simmer without having to constantly watch it is nice. The range looks professional. It’s almost like a statement piece in the kitchen. I’m super happy with the product. It’s better than other ovens I’ve had in the past. It cooks more evenly. I’ve had gas ovens before that didnt cook evenly and my Viking range cooks pretty well. It holds temperature well for a gas oven. Additionally, my experience with the dealer was excellent. They were knowledgeable about the product and it was easy to set up delivery.

I was looking for higher end appliances, so we decided to go with Viking and have had nothing but problems. The refrigerators doors had a crack in it. The doors were not aligned. The freezer is always kind of opening and not sealing properly. Its a bit noisy. Then there was indenting, and this is the second time it happened in the fridge. I dont know why. I realized I have an extended 10-year warranty with PC Richard so I had the guy come out again, and he said he had to order a bunch of parts, and he placed the order. I hope that is being handled.As far as my range, its horrible. Im always having trouble. It is a very high-end stove that the burners half the time arent working. Its not holding the proper temperature inside. I feel like its a limit. I would put it on 400 but it only went to 300. Viking replaced the burners a couple of times. They come and fix it, but it reoccurs. Theres something wrong with the actual range itself. And then, when I called Viking because of everything that happened to have it serviced again because they canceled my last service due to the COVID, they told me Im out of warranty now. But its the same problem Ive been having since I got the range. Ive called in again but nobody has gotten back to me. They were supposed to push it up to management. I made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding whats going on.

I like the Viking range and the open burner design. I do a lot of stovetop cooking and I didn’t want all of the electronics. However, I’ve had a lot of problems with the oven. But then Viking has addressed them accordingly and the dealer took care of everything right away.

I like that Viking products are made in the USA, and so I had their products in a previous home too. We also decided to buy an entire Viking kitchen for our guesthouse. That includes a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, wine cooler, and microwave drawer. However, we had a problem with the dishwasher and Viking took almost nine months on it. They ended up having to replace it because the technician messed the other one up.Our refrigerator has also been leaking at the bottom for the last five months. The thing is its in the guesthouse and it’s hardly used. The parts that have issues are all under warranty of about six to eight years. Ive been dealing with a gentleman from Viking who has been trying to get technicians down here. One tech took off the door as well as the back panels, and now the door wont close and it leaks on both sides instead of one. It’s very frustrating because other than that one tech who came, I’ve still yet to get another one to come and look at the refrigerator and were about ready to throw it out on the street.My liking of Viking has always been the cooktops or ranges. In fact, I just had my 60-inch installed in my kitchen in the main house. I still like the product. Its just very frustrating to deal with customer service. Their service and follow-up is horrendous and I would not recommend it to anybody. Ive been in the restaurant business for 30 years and people respect the opinion. So I cant make a recommendation when something is lopsided.

I had my Viking range delivered a month ago. However, Ive been disappointed. It was a new purchase and new installation. I have a double door 48-inch range and they werent level. And then there was a crack with the interior of one of the ovens, and the main oven has stopped working when I was getting my range replaced. It doesnt heat up and I dont know if that is installation or bad switching. The small oven works fine, but the big oven does not work at all. I went on record with the company that I bought the appliance with just to say that I know its getting swapped out but I havent done anything to it. I had used it twice. Also, Ive been forever delayed on getting a griddle cover. I have to think its coming soon but its been on perpetual back order with Viking and right now it looks like a margarined, ugly griddle. I just wanna get the cover. I wanna like it. I want it replaced. I dont wanna have to call anybody on it again and hopefully well never speak again. I hope its not an indicator of any sort of change thats happened to Viking because I did have a range in a previous home and I loved it so much. I had not a single problem with it and I wanted to go back to it again.Their people have been very responsive. There has been many cooks in the kitchen in my liking and I cant keep up with whos doing what, but I appreciate the calls. I wanna get the range replaced but the installation of the new one has been pushed back again which bugged me because that was another weekend of no real sizeable oven. Also, I have small children so its a pain in the behind but I just wanna have it done and over with. I picked Viking over some of the other premium lines and I wanna stay with it but I wanna get it right this time.

Viking products have been in my family for as long as I can remember. I found the right size fridge for what I wanted to do from Viking and I went to the dealer and bought it. I was pleased with the delivery and installation. It’s an extremely large refrigerator and it’s not the easiest thing to move around. The quality of the refrigerator is also fine. It’s a high-end unit and its cold. Viking Refrigerators last forever.

I just sold my 30 Viking range (to a guy that refurbishes and resells them) and have never been so happy in my life! What a complete piece of crap and absolute horrible customer service. I purchased brand new in 2008 and after a couple years of moderate use the oven began to cycle off during cooking and would not cycle back on. I spent over $1000 with two different Viking Authorized repair companies to replace the computer control board, the thermostat, and sensor, only to have the exact same problem. Viking customer service provided me with zero help. The repair guys both told me that they encounter the same problem with countless Viking ranges. Im giving Wolf a shot - hopefully they will be better. Buyer beware!

We have owned our Viking refrigerator for about 8 years, it has been an awful experience regarding appliance ownership having been serviced several times and still giving us fits regarding. Ice cubes fall out of the freezer when opened, the fan does not circulate properly and the circuit board has been advised we need to replace at a cost of $1,500+, more than half of what we paid. I will not purchase another Viking product for as long as I live!

Viking had a floor model refrigerator that was at a good price. However, when I open the drawer where the ice bucket is in the freezer, 90% of the time, it kicks ice cubes underneath the basket of the freezer. I have to get down on my hands and knees and dig to get the ice cubes out. I cant close the freezer drawer until I get the ice cubes out.Also, that time, they were including an above-range convection microwave free with purchasing a range. However, the Viking dealer was a little slow to respond to things. She was very nice and pleasant but it could take her days to get back to me. So far, the range seems to be of good quality and the induction cooktop has been my favorite. But then, theres a defect in the left front corner of the stainless which was noted on the day of installation. Theres also a problem with the mechanism that I use to open the microwave. Its not level. Viking promptly got people out to look at the issues. Theyve ordered the parts but its been well over a month and none of my issues have been fixed. Furthermore, the front piece of the range needs to be replaced and its still on back order. Nevertheless, Vikings products are well made. I looked at some GE Cafe French drawer type refrigerators and the pullout drawers were very teeny. It felt very unsecure when I pulled it out. On the other hand, Vikings appliances seem like good heavy quality products.

We originally had a Northland refrigerator and it had a single, swing-out door. We started looking for another ref and we decided to go with a ref with double doors. I opened every two-door, swing-out model and looked at the trays, shelves, drawers, and guides, and how well these were made and fitted. Compared to their competitors, Viking had the product with the best custom interior and guides for drawers and shelves, and they were hands down above all the other ones that we saw on the market. Also, our experience with the dealer was excellent. They do a nice job and we buy a lot of appliances from them. The ref we got from them is nice and we like it. It keeps our food cold and frozen the way its supposed to and everything is operating the way we expected, so were happy with it. We like the double doors too. Buy from Viking. They do their homework well.

I heard through a friend that Viking was one of the top tier appliance manufacturers. I looked at pricing versus quality. Vikings was very comparable. I also looked at the name brand and features that were offered. Viking was the way to go. I like that the refrigerator is counter-depth. It really blends in the look with the appearance in my kitchen. It looks like its built in. Its definitely an upgrade to what I had before. You can tell that the refrigerator is high quality. The interactions with the Viking dealer was good, but when they delivered the dishwasher it was damaged. They made good and replaced it with a brand new one though. Id tell friends that Im impressed with Viking and that it definitely is the right way to go.

My mom had a Viking range. I liked that it had the dual fuel and self-cleaning oven, so we got one too and we really like it. It is sturdy and seems very well-made, unlike some of those cheap or lower-end brands. I like all of its features. I like that the burner grates are individual, so they’re not so heavy to lift up. I saw that some other brands had only three burner grates or these were doubles, and I did not like having to pick up that heavy stuff. We went through Ferguson to buy our Viking range and they were great. We spent a lot of time looking into the range that we would buy because we just remodeled our whole kitchen and I’m hoping that our range will last for a very long time like my mom’s. I would recommend Viking.

I was selling the house and wanted to use some upgraded name. Ive known Viking for years and it seemed to be a better deal. I replaced the GE appliances with Viking. But unfortunately, even in the short time that I had it, we had problems with the oven and refrigerator. And the more I talked to people about it, the reputation has really turned bad like Viking is pretty poorly made now. Knowing what I know now, I would never buy a Viking again unless I hear that theyve really improved their quality. However, I like the refrigerators Dutch doors where its open on each side. Their team also had good follow up on the service I needed.

The Viking range was built in the house that we bought. My wife looks pleased with it, but I have heard her complain that cleaning it is a bit involved.
