I purchased a new Viking refrigerator model number vcff036ss in 2007. I need a replacement part, 021881‑000, which is the control panel, as the refrigerator won’t turn on. Viking has had the part on back order for 5 months, essentially obsoleting my very expensive refrigerator after 11 years. Why would anyone take that risk?

Weve had our new Viking refrigerator for four months now and its been good so far. When I bought the unit, I dealt with a representative in Dallas who was very professional. The refrigerator has a lot of space and compartments and its quality is very good. Id recommend Viking refrigerators.

Ice maker has failed on 36 french-door bottom-freezer refrigerator, which is insane as the fridge is less than 4 years old. This is the second time we have had issues with the ice maker; the first time was a blocked water line that cost us hundreds to have a tech fix. Had a technician come in and look at it today (05/24/17), and he estimated $850 to replace failed ice maker unit ($240 labor, $555 materials). More than frustrated. Emailed Viking customer service via their website. Hope I get a timely response...

WARNING!! YOU ARE ABOUT TO MAKE THE WORST DECISION OF YOUR LIFE IF YOU DECIDE TO BUY A VIKING APPLIANCE!! Keep reading: DO NOT waste your money!! We had a KitchenAid range/oven that lasted for years. Got tired of its look and decided to spend a lot more to show off our brand new renovated kitchen. So we went with Viking – possibly the worst mistake of my life! For starters the rubber feet on the top grates kept falling off. Then the oven racks stopped sliding followed by the electronic ignition never going off after the burner was started. Made a huge stink at PC Richard and they finally got Viking to send a technician. Needless to say that sent an independent service company who only showed up TWO weeks after we opened the service call. They replaced the grates and oven shelves... which lasted only a month!!Out of stupidity I had put a deposit for an almost $10,000 order for our second home in Vermont. The salesperson at PC Richard told us the D3 series was the economy Viking line. (Seriously??? $3G for it? Could have bought 4 KitchenAid ovens!) So he recommended their top of the line. However, after getting stuck with this disastrous lemon, I canceled the order. I never believed on reviews but the self-cleaning cycle JUST stopped working. I got so mad that I decided that I will do whatever I can do, for the rest of my life, to educate consumers so they do not get trapped by Viking into believing that Viking is a state of the art, top appliance manufacturer. WRONG!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!! DO SOME RESEARCH ONLINE. FIND A GOOD MANUFACTURER BUT NEVER, NEVER IN YOUR LIFE BUY VIKING.UPDATED ON 08/31/2016: This is a follow up after I posted a complaint here. After posting the complaint they were very quick to email me (customer service support supervisor Juanita **). An independent technician fully evaluated the Viking appliance and made a list of items that needed to be replaced. The list is 5 rows long - that by itself says a lot about the range. The technician was excellent in explaining everything to us. Upon his departure he said that Viking will need to approve the parts or decide to replace the range. This was on august 10, 2016. Today, three weeks have passed and... not a word from Viking. I called the service company and... Surprise!!!! Viking has not even responded to their request. So here is another important piece of information. Be aware!! They claim excellent service... Well you are for a big, big surprise. As big as the one you are going to get once you buy a Viking appliance. No matter which type, not matter where. Horrible company. Save your hard earned money and certainly dont spend it on a piece of garbage like it.

This is, bar none, the worst dishwasher I have ever owned. The basket is constantly breaking, allowing all of the silverware to fall into the dishwasher. And then, in turn, the dishwasher does not work. This happens every 2 months! I would never buy any other product from this company.

I got my Viking Refrigerator when I bought the house one year ago and the fridge was awesome. But then a drawer came out and I couldnt get it back in. I spent five hours trying to get that back together. Even my husband tried and he couldn’t do it, then other pieces were falling out. I tried to hold it up with water bottles at one time. I called Viking and someone is coming to fix it tomorrow free of charge. They ordered all new replacement parts. Still, the Viking fridge is an excellent product. I like the door alarm too. If you don’t get it shut, it beeps.

Viking Ranges would have made a good return on my investment when I sell my house but so far, the quality is not good. I have about 5 issues that are in the process of being rectified, like not all burner lights work and when the oven and some of the burners are on, all the burners would light continuously and wont stop. I have called and spoken with them numerous times and I have sent emails too, and they were knowledgeable enough to help me with what I needed. Im waiting for the parts but a week has passed and they told me that the parts department is not shipping anything until the middle of the month. The quality control and the packaging could have been better before the units leave the factory line. Also, it seemed that a lot of the damages were the result of transporting the product.

Viking products are pretty low-tech and this microwave is just as intuitive as others I have owned. Heats well, which is what you want in this product.

I have Viking in other homes, and this time, they were running a rebate which was a considerable amount of money. Also, Viking was acquired by another company and word on the street was their quality issues had been fixed. I also looked at Wolf and Thermador and read horrendous reviews about them, but they’re great products too. Ultimately the price point made the big difference for me and I bought a range from Viking. The qualitys pretty good. Upon unboxing and installation, there were two burners that were inoperable so that was not a good start. I then got a service call in and haven’t heard anything from them and it’s been two weeks. But I have been able to use it. I like the rapid heat oven which is very nice. I also like the true convection oven portion of it. It has three different convection modes, but the true conduct is very nice. And the overall appearance was very sharp. The dealer was good too. I did most of my research online and I have a rep that I used. I simply called him and said, “Order it.” Its a great product, well-made craftsmanship, and a value in the realm of high end, other than the burners. But I thought that may have been a shipping issue.

Weve now spent $2,000 repairing our $6,000 oven. The ignitors are cheap and do not last. The last repairmen said... they dont make better ignitors. I dont know about Wolfe and the other, but I would not get a Viking again.

We have had this VDSC548T6G range/oven for about 3 years. The ignitor on the left front burner takes over 1 minute to light and often does not light at all, this is the only burner of the 6 that has this issue (part is a DSI module). Over Thanksgiving the oven knob/electronic module stopped working (part is Electronic control module). We called a service technician who claimed the parts were no longer available. Anyone have any suggestions for purchasing parts? This is so frustrating.

My brother does kitchen remodels and installs appliances and I used to install Viking Ranges with him. As Ive seen those ranges coming out of the boxes and see them perform I said to myself that when I do my own kitchen Im going to get one. Ive installed some of the KitchenAid ones and I always went back to the quality of Viking. Our dealer held our oven for us until it was ready for delivery for almost three weeks which I was appreciative of. The installation was done by Jose and it went smoothly. He advised us where we had to put the level of the gas line for that particular model. I like the condensing fan in the oven when I’m baking at two different levels. It rotates the heat. Another thing is the burners are strong at high and I can adjust it to where I need it to be. There was a manufacturer defect though. On the bottom part of the oven there was a scratch all the way to the rear. I didnt notice it until I was cleaning it about three months later which is over the warranty period already. But this defect is more aesthetic than performance and the oven is still running great. My wife who doesn’t know anything about a Viking Range is totally convinced that we made the right choice. She was leery about $3900 for a range but now when she uses it she can see the difference in the way it cooks versus regular stoves. Id recommend Viking to a friend anytime.

We purchased a house that had a Viking refrigerator and we didn’t realize the value of the appliance. When it broke and wasn’t cooling in the freezer, we looked and it cost $9,000 to replace, which was a shock. I would never buy a $9,000 refrigerator unless it was to match one that broke and it wouldnt have been my first choice by any means. I don’t think I wouldve ever bought a Viking appliance on purpose. Plus, theres nothing better about the refrigerator and its small for its size. We called a tech from Johnson Service last October and somebody came out. He said that it needed either an inverter or a compressor. One was gonna be 600 bucks and the other one could cost a couple of thousand dollars. Then he took off and we didn’t hear anything from anybody for a couple of months. We would call and ask if somebody was gonna come here and fix our fridge and they would say that they were still waiting on a part. That went on for a couple of weeks. We went through Thanksgiving and Christmas without a refrigerator. We were calling them once a week to ask for an update. They said that the refrigerator was an expired model that Viking doesnt make anymore and that they had to make a whole new kit for the refrigerator, which was what was taking time.Finally, after Christmas, I called Viking directly and asked what the heck was going on. The lady said that that was the first she had heard about it, even though they were the ones that had initially referred me to call Johnson Service. The lady was helpful though. She got on the phone and started making calls to Johnson herself. The next day, I got a call from Johnson and they said that Viking freed up one of the parts needed and that they would be able to get over here in a couple of days to fix the refrigerator. A couple of days went by, but we still hadnt heard from them. Then finally, a week or so later, we got it fixed. It took 10 weeks to get the refrigerator fixed and we didnt get a deal. It still cost $650 to fix it. It was an awful experience. I would never deal with the refrigerator again. I would work with local stuff that I can get people to fix easier.

Bought a home with all-Viking appliances. They LOOK heavy duty, and the range certainly is. Problem is, they dont work as well or have many features available on more popular consumer brands like GE, KitchenAid, etc., that cost much, much less. Our Viking range has racks that are impossible to pull out. In our other home, our GE Monogram has beautiful ball-bearing shelves that glide fully in or out with ease. The Viking fridge has shelves and compartments that are all cracked, even though its pretty new. It beeps once in a while for no apparent reason (the door is CLOSED! ); its slow to make ice, and has no ice or water through the door. Seriously? Why would anyone pay thousands for this junk when other brands have better features, more durability and cost far less to service?

We really liked the Viking product and their counter depth fridge. I love the quality. It seems like it’s well-built.

The dealer, Mario, did an awesome job of telling us all the benefits. We ended up going with Viking because he said that they stood behind their product and he had never heard complaints from anyone. That was the bottom line where we ended up buying 30 some thousand dollars of equipment there from Best Buy. I bought an entire kitchen of Viking. We have a microwave, a wine cooler, the gas range and the hood. So, all we need is a ship now to be a complete Viking. The Viking refrigerator is good although some of the soft close drawers on the bottom of the refrigerator dont exactly soft close but Im not gonna go crazy over that as much as that thing cost us. I also had some issues with the icemaker but we got that resolved and it was more of a connection issue. We had some issues with our dishwasher and we had to have it replaced. Also, I’m disappointed that the French oven doors didnt seal correctly. But other than that, they look fine. Were working through the service folks that Viking recommended to us and right now, Im still waiting for those. But so far, Im very happy.

Our Viking Refrigerator is good overall. However, it is a floor model so we’ve not been really happy with the folks trying to resolve the issue. The doors slammed and it took awhile for them to figure out why there was moisture inside the fridge. We’ve been a little less than satisfied with the service we’ve gotten on it. We have called the retailer multiple times to come fix the issues but whenever they came out, they got the wrong part. They did not seem to be knowledgeable about the Viking brand. We’ve been happy with our refrigerator minus the couple of issues that we continue to struggle with.

I was looking into a more professional level of cooking appliances. My husbands parents have had Viking for years and he really liked them so we just went with that one instead of a Wolf. Theyre all very similar but I liked the name recognition and experience of Viking. The dealer was excellent, very knowledgeable about the product and helpful with questions.Our Viking range is of excellent quality. We have a dual range and a cooktop thats propane so we really like the feature of the convection and all the options in the oven. We like the size of it too. We have six burners and it definitely functions with big holiday events. And when we had any repair issues, which had been minimal, they were very quick to get us a repair guy here and they did a great job.

Our old Viking Refrigerator was unimpressive for the price. It was just an ordinary refrigerator with a Viking label on it. It was eight years old and a particular part broke. We could have fixed the thing for $200 but they discontinued that part and it was not available. They supposedly keep spare parts for 10 years, but I suspect that this part was defective or broke a lot, so they ran out. So our opinion of Viking is not very good.We bought a new refrigerator and it was the only one that fit in the space that we had. It also costs $1,000 more than other virtually identical refrigerators made by the same company. There were also other better refrigerators that are too tall. The new refrigerators drawers and shelves worked better than the old ones. Its a decent refrigerator, but all refrigerators in that price range are at least as good. Theres nothing special about it.

In retrospect, I wanted everything Viking. I bought a self-standing range, a big electric French door oven, and a fridge. The dealer was nice and my experience was very good. The features of the Viking Range were better. The power of the gas from the top range is terrific and Im very happy with it. I also love the features of the oven, but I had some issues with the set. The doors didnt close well so they had to come back and close the doors, so I was partly happy with it. However, Im not super satisfied with the brand new fridge. The ice machine was not working and they had to come back. For the price Ive paid for it, Im not happy with that. Its working okay now, but it took a while.

I went into a model home and compared Viking Refrigerators to Wolf and some other ones. Vikings quality and price were a little bit better so I decided to give it a try. I like the two lower drawers, one for the refrigeration and one for the freezer. However, it takes longer for it to make ice. We also had to get a part replaced because we had some leaking from the freezer. But, we were able to get a repair guy out to handle it during the warranty period. Other than that, everything is fine.

My husband bought the Viking dishwasher and he wanted a matching appliance. We did the purchasing through ABT and they’re great. We think that Viking is a good brand and it looks nice. We got the French doors and set it side by side, like our old KitchenAid which was there when we bought the house. Our Viking refrigerator is fine, but the clips that hold down the racks in the freezer keep coming off from day one when we havent had it for very long, six months at most. ABT came out last week but they never did anything about the clips. So I told my husband to make sure to ask them about it when they come back out. We’ve called ABT to have that corrected. Were waiting for them to call back.Theres also one minor thing. Most refrigerators have feet you can adjust if it needs to go up or down an inch. Viking doesnt have that. We have a two-inch gap at the top of the refrigerator, between the old cabinets and refrigerator. They were able to adjust the KitchenAid to go up to it and with the Viking, you can’t. But I liked the style of the French doors and those big shelves and big, perfect trays.

Viking is a good brand. I have all Viking appliances and I love them. I bought the refrigerator three months ago and I like everything about it. The salesperson who sold it to me was nice, friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a great experience.

We wanted to redo our kitchen and we’ve known Viking for years. My husband wanted them and Viking was the only one who had the French Oven Doors which I wanted. I have used the oven, the refrigerator, the microwave and the ice maker. Our other refrigerator was so deep that you were constantly digging for stuff. The Viking ref is less deep, tall and I can see what’s there when I open the door. We bought it in Best Buy since we live in Hawaii and we were very limited on where we could go for certain things. It did not go well because it took us four hours to order when we already had all the model numbers. They worked with us but it wasn’t a pleasant experience. Nevertheless, weve been really pleased with what weve got and we’re happy.

I bought 3 Viking appliances for $30,000. Big mistake! I have been so disappointed with them & wished I had read these comments before I purchased these expensive junk appliances. The fridge is only 5 years old and has leaked 3 times which resulted in 3 service calls with 1,000$ in repairs without warranty. Third time leaking & repairman said the motor is shut, the refrigerator coolant is low & thered ice buildup etc... Its a 3500 fix & I have no warranty. What a waste of money and everyones time. So pissed off since the fridge is built into our cabinetry. Fridge is turned off. Power off. Cant use it at all now cause it leaks. Poor landfill with all these damaged appliances. What a shame. Never again!

I choose Viking Ranges for their quality and I just like them. They have a very good quality. My favorite feature is its consistency in cooking. I also love that each of the burners has a simmer mode, which is good. I bought the range from someplace online. I also bought the extended warranty and there’s one company in our area that works on the Viking thats certified if I have any issues with it.

I had seen some Viking refrigerators in friends’ houses and I like the aesthetic. I got my own Viking refrigerator and we got it from Abt in Chicago. While we had a run-in with Abt towards the end in regards to how they went about declaring undeclared costs, it has nothing to do with Viking. Still, the refrigerator is expensive so it better be good quality. My favorite feature is its capacity. We have a small issue with the icemaker but Viking had been quite responsive in getting somebody out to repair it. Overall, the Viking refrigerator has been great.

Our builder sent us to his appliance vendor to select kitchen appliances, whereupon a salesman convinced us to upgrade to Viking--there was some kind of package deal on at the time. The first 2 years were marked by constant frustration. The fridge had no shortage of problems (our version had a fridge above and freezer below). The hinges were replaced by a factory-authorized repairman twice (the first time, he forgot to lubricate them, and we ended up with a small pile of metal dust from the grinding metal parts). It took several attempts to get the door to stop swinging 180 degrees. The metal freezer rack started rusting (the factory sent the wrong part for the first attempted repair). Later, the thermostat failed and had to be replaced (it was actually my co-worker who diagnosed the problem--meanwhile, the distributor denied that could be the issue). At some point, I noticed the plastic door gasket was tearing, but I let that one go. These days, every time I look at the fridge, I cant help but notice that it isnt aligned properly. And of course, we never even thought to look at the Energy Guide sticker, where I was surprised to find its rated one of the least efficient refrigerators in its class.The oven arrived with a faulty door. A new one arrived, but the repairman sent it back because it had been damaged in shipping. The second warranty repair seemed OK, but my wife was always unhappy at how long it took for the oven to warm up. The microwaves magnetron failed under warranty and was replaced. But this morning, the microwave started arcing, smoking, and making spectacular sparks from behind the back panel. Its now 6 years old, and I think its life has ended.Im pleased to say that we did not roll over and play dead, and successfully argued our case to get Viking to cover all of our problems under warranty (except todays event). But my wife and I lead busy lives, and its been very draining to be constantly booking appointments, waiting around for repair people to show, and badgering the company. When we first bought Viking, I read all about how they studied and learned from Toyotas quality control systems. All I can say is, they couldnt have been paying much attention on those trips to Japan.

Im very happy with the quality of my Viking range. I like the commercial style and the extra burners as far as the range is concerned. Everythings been good with their representatives. When I thought I had an issue, they were Johnny-on-the-spot trying to get it resolved.

We were doing a complete remodel of our kitchen, so I was looking at all the appliances for the kitchen. Ive done remodels of kitchens for five or six years and Ive always used Sub-Zero but we decided to try how Viking would work out. We liked the look, the overall aesthetics, and quality of it and the pricing was a big thing, too. There seemed to be a good overall package deal with the broad suite of Viking appliances. What we ended up doing was our entire kitchen is all Viking appliances. The refrigerator has been good so far. The lighting and design are good and I like the easy closing of drawers which is kind of nice. Also, the ability of not to have to do the cleaning of the vents and things was an important feature.

In December of 2010, I had my kitchen remolded and bought an 8 burner, double oven Viking Pro range. When I owned a restaurant in the mid 80s we had a Viking range and I loved it. It cooked evenly and baked, roasted, broiled - fantastic. So Viking was naturally my choice. I paid around $12,000 for the range and $4,000 for the vent hood. The first year after it was installed, I did not use it much. My Mother became ill and I went to take care of her. When I started using it last year, it worked fine for a few months. Then in October of 2013, the oven started to cool down after an hour or so of cooking. Thank goodness I purchased a warranty for five years. The Viking certified repairman came out in November 3 times until a part was replaced that was recalled or so they said. The ovens and burners worked fine when the repairmen left. Two hours later, nothing worked - not even the burners which had no previous problems. Nothing would come on. Three more times repairmen come out. Finally in February, it was fixed until May when it started to do the same thing. The oven would not hold heat. Two more service trips and two months later, it was once again fixed. 10 days later after cooking and baking every day, the oven did not cook properly. My cheesecake and pies were not done in the middle and the bottom crusts were uncooked. A 3-lb chicken took 3 hours to roast and still was not hot enough to be safe to eat. A week later, the repair service is out again. Only this time he only puts his thermometer in the oven and after 30 min. says its holding temp. properly. Cant tell you how frustrated I am. I am not an amateur cook. I was a chef for 15 years and I used good ole recipes that have worked more than a thousand times in the correct time limits. Even after adding an additional hour to hour and a half baking time, pies and cakes were raw in the middle. Repair man doesnt understand it should be cooking properly. Hello, I showed him one of the pies I kept - nothing to say. Hate this oven by now. Cant understand, unless it cant work when used daily, for more than an hour. I will never buy a Viking range again. Bought my son a nice LG. Works beautifully - no problems at all.

The refrigerator makes some funny noises and Im a little concerned about how it would work if I ever have to have it repaired. But its not an issue that affects the cooling of the unit so its no big deal. For now, its working great and its aesthetically nice. Its a big block of steel and its pretty imposing. Its a good product.

The fan of the Viking refrigerator we purchased was annoyingly loud. I have very sensitive hearing and it’s getting me crazy. We also purchased a Viking Range which I like it, but I had some issues with it. And they were not able to completely resolve it without tearing out the range and putting a new one in. When I had service on it, the gentleman said that the very low thats almost like a buzzing sound was just normal for the refrigerator. It sound like I have a constant bumblebee in my home. When I was choosing what refrigerator to buy, I’ve heard nothing but grief from people who are dealing with Sub-Zero, so that eliminated that one immediately. And the other two that I was familiar with were Viking and Thermador. I have a Thermador range in my second home and I’m not thrilled with it so I eliminated that. So I went with Viking and was holding my breath when I did. However, I was misled by the salesman. It was a significant purchase that was almost $12,000. He led me to believe that we were going to get 10% off our purchase back based on the program that Viking was running. But when I read the fine print of the information, that obviously was not the case and I haven’t even had a chance to submit my paperwork. But all in all, I had a good experience as far as the refrigerator, the delivery and the installation were concerned.

Viking Ranges popped up as being nearest to my house when I did an online search. I like the brand. The stove is great, reliable and is a beautiful piece. They’re known for that but unfortunately, that’s the only thing they’re known for. I have the hood on top of the vent but it stopped working so, I called them. The customer service was very short. When some guy came out, he said that he had to change the whole part and he was going to overcharge me for something. But I was able to fix it by myself and it was just a loose wire. I grabbed a screwdriver, took it apart, took the thing out and then was able to put the wire back in place and now it works fine. It was pretty evident what was going on where it was a failure in the switch but they tried to scam me and make me buy a whole new piece which is ridiculous to me. I also have a Viking dishwasher and I figured that they could fix it. The technicians came out, was very nice and he did his best trying to fix the problem. He accomplished it ‘cause the dishwasher started working again but it was for half a day. The next day it stopped working and continued to be clogged. When I called back the technician to see if he could come back and repair it again, he never showed. He said he would call back and see if he would reappear but he never did. Eventually, I stopped calling him and I had to call a new place. I had to pay for somebody who will fix everything that the Viking technician wasnt able to fix. I was charged twice to get the repair. After that, I was reading reviews online and thought I should’ve gone with the different dishwasher. Viking doesn’t seem to have a very reliable dishwasher. The dishwasher is terrible. It keeps breaking down, flooding, it’s not easy to use, and it’s a disaster. On the whole, Viking is known for being exceptional and I have no complaints with the stove. Its phenomenal and it always works out great. But I would totally advise others to buy a different brand of dishwasher.

My Viking dual fuel 4-burner range was a disaster from the start. It’s now in its 6th year and the igniters chirp nonstop for five or ten minutes after turning on a burner. The bulbs in the oven have burned out and are stuck. Two separate repairmen have not been able to remove them. The oven is small and cant even fit a large turkey. The quality control is terrible and the product is shockingly bad. I wanted to buy American, but it was a big mistake.

Refrigerator purchased 2011 (along with Viking ranges & ovens) and just ran out of warranty in August 2014. Since purchase, the refrigerator door hinge was recalled due to faulty manufacturing which might have caused door to fall off when opening. Next, the on-off light switch in the lower freezer compartment had to be replaced (just outside of warranty period) due to ice forming on the switch. Ice in a freezer??? Finally, rust has formed on the freezer door rails, again right after the warranty expired. Multiple calls to Viking customer support yielded no satisfaction...their warranty policy makes no exceptions for quality problems outside of the warranty period. Needless to say, not a happy Viking customer.

I saw a Viking Range for the first time when I was 13 in Architectural Digest and I wanted it ever since. I finally was able to get one. I did look at competitors but the Viking Range was my favorite. I love that its built with such quality and such simplicity. Its the best of design. Its not overfussy. One of my big worries when I got it is whether or not it would be easy to clean. But the fact that the parts all come off and you can just throw them in the sink, I was surprised by how easy it is to clean. Its everything that it needs to be. We got good service and its a good product. It not only works well but also we enjoy the experience of cooking on the range. We live on a farm so were not on natural gas and we had to adapt to propane. Everyone else that we talked to was not particularly helpful. But Viking was able to quickly and effectively solve the issue that we had without replacing the appliance which was really nice cause we were trying to get moved into our house. We also have the dishwasher, the vent hood and the refrigerator from Viking and we really love them. Were really happy with them.

I got a Viking refrigerator because its a good quality product and I like the appearance of it. I also like the way its set up securely. The product is very nice and Im enjoying it very much. My experience with the team at the Viking dealer was fine. The service was excellent and they were pleasant to deal with.

Dana is the cook in the family and he’s done lots of research on the Viking company. We also visited many stores and tried many models. This is his second stove. He originally had the 36-inch that was black with brass trim all over it and that’s what he really wanted to get this time. The oven enameling of the first range flaked off, so they had to replace it for us. The dealer was great and customer service has been very good.He really likes that there’s a smaller oven where we don’t have to heat up a great big oven to cook. He uses the griddle a lot and likes the speed that they cook at because of the high heat. He also likes the grill, the dual fuel and the six burners. It’s an impressive piece of machine and the quality of the stove itself is superior. The one thing I know that we both miss is that Viking has taken the clock off of the face of the stove. There’s no time at all, which we relied on for our time in our kitchen. But Danas very pleased with the stove. It has many features that I know he likes to use and we’re very impressed. It’s a Cadillac sitting in our kitchen.

Built a new home in 2011, my ex wanted an elaborate kitchen that would be functional and fun to entertain in. We purchased Viking refrigerator, freezer, 2 dishwashers, 12 gas burners and 4 ovens, because our impression was Viking was top of the line. Turns out the line begins at the rear. The dishwashers never worked properly and I discarded them after 2 years & numerous service calls. The burners took several trips and replacement of the castings to get them level. The ovens take forever to reach temperature and each one takes a different setting to maintain required temperatures.Both doors on the refrigerator and freezer have sagged and required adjustments. Currently, we have been waiting for a month for a part for the refrigerator, in order to get the temperature under 50 degrees. Called yesterday again and was told that the part was on order and coming from the factory. I asked if it was coming by Pony Express, hello Viking have you heard about FedEx yet? Good thing I kept the 15-year-old Whirlpool or we would be eating out of a cooler.

When we had a home built, the builder was using a specific vendor and they had a Viking package deal that appealed to me. The refrigerator has been good so far. It works great and I like the space at the bottom thats below a couple of doors which allows you to store longer and bigger things.

The range is expensive, but you get what you pay for. So, Im very happy. I love the grill top. The Viking range works great, but it doesnt have a couple of key features. There are two things that I would love to see incorporated into the range. One, theres no clock, which makes me a little bit crazy because I’m obsessed with time sometimes. Two, being able to program the oven. Theres no programming feature. With the old oven I had, you could put something in the oven and program it to start baking in an hour or two hours. The range is a professional system and it’s designed for professional kitchens. So maybe some of those retail-oriented features dont come in that model. But it would be good if it did.

We bought our Viking 6-burner range used, with very low usage on it. It looked all pretty with the stainless parts, and worked well... for a year or two. After a while, Ive noticed the lack of stainless parts and fasteners where it matters. This thing is just a rust-bucket. We live in an area where steel is not particularly prone to corrosion - the lousy materials are to blame. Rusty, creaky door hinges (maybe that is why our door actually stays closed :-o). Rotting gas oven burner. The pan under the grates has rust-through. On and on. If I thought this was a long-term keeper, Id order a truckload of igniters for the oven, as they go out regularly. If I had to pay someone to work on this, it would be much cheaper to buy something else. Rubbish! Id rather have an old 55-gallon drum and scrap wood than another one of these.

Ive known about Viking from friends who used to have it in their houses and I got a Viking range because of its appearance and quality. It looks nice and works as expected. It’s still pretty new and I haven’t used it too much. But is been a positive experience so far..

My comments echo the thread. I bought a Viking dishwasher in 2009. Im on my third repair. It worked poorly when it was up and running. Many of the electronic controls failed (e.g. did not run on pots and pans setting, but did run on normal). Now it simply does not run. I went into the repair shop on 5/14. As of 6/17, still waiting on parts from Viking. Customer service talks a good game, but thats about it. Its talk has not resulted in action. I have made a demand for a replacement washer (good luck right?). Ill update the thread on the outcome.For anyone who is thinking about a Viking, this thread speaks for itself. BTW, reliability issues aside, the parts do not fit (i.e. the rack attachments fall out of their fittings and develop rust. The silverware basket bottoms wear out, thus, allowing silverware to fall through).

Viking is highly ranked. At the time of my purchase, there was also a good deal for getting all Viking. Aside from the discount, they threw in a free dishwasher. I like Vikings ovens. But the quality of the professional stoves is better than the refrigerator. It was made in Mexico and not quite the same as their professional level refrigerators. But its pretty good. I like that the styling was all matching too. The only thing is one of the status lights is out in the refrigerator already. It just happened.

My parents have Viking appliances and I liked the ranges design, so I bought one from an appliance store where I buy all my appliances. It’s an induction range, so it’s very fast compared to my old range and Im happy. It’s a good range.

Had two issues with my range. First, the grate feet have come off my grills. After much back and forth (6-8 emails) a link was sent to me to order on my own. Unfortunately the feet and link were not available to be shipped to Canada. As well my range was still under warranty. I emailed back for another option for a Canadian supplier and my thoughts that this would be under warranty. I had no response (still have not). Secondly, the motherboard and fan stopped working, less than a year old. The process (online) was great to set up a call, however the process of having the claim put through to a technician and to have the product repaired took over a month. I love the product, but would still like an answer to the feet. Thanks.

I like the Viking refrigerator. Its smaller than what we had before, but it seems to perform well. It has drawers for vegetables and other things. They also have a drawer that keeps temperature at specific temps. It has a separate kind of a cooling system connected to it. We sometimes wish that the freezer was a little bit larger though.

Is there a lemon law that applies to Viking ranges? Same problems as everybody else on this thread on our 9-year old unit, igniters and burner tubes, that last about 3 years, versus the 10 years, oven pan, that has fallen apart twice. and failed convection fan. This is expensive junk.

Our Viking 48 two door refrigerator: After two years it stopped working; drawers, shelves, plastic trim, refrigerator side door interior panels cracking, and both door seals in desperate need of replacement. After reading so many complaints about Viking appliances we just decided to wait and get more familiar with this expensive brand. In the mean time we went to Lowes and got a Samsung as a spare. Not sure on how to proceed, the Viking refrigerator was turned off and unplugged for three years. After the three years, we called Viking; Viking replaced the compressor, but we had to pay for all the expensive labor and all the other expensive replacement parts including the ice maker and both door seals. The refrigerator interior door panel is expensive and not worth of replacement. The refrigerator started to leak right after it was serviced from the freezer every time the freezer defrosts.Our 48 Viking Freestanding Gas Range: The knobs on the front of the range get very hot when using the ovens. The lettering and markings on the range disappeared. Oven doors dont close correctly. After three years, we started to smell gas coming from both ovens when in use. The ovens would not heat up properly, had to replace all three oven igniters. The large oven door/hinges stuck and we could not get the door to open or close, had all door hinges replaced on both doors.As a contractor, I find it amazing that I keep seeing Viking Appliances in multimillion dollar homes. My best guess is that these Viking appliances are there for appearance purposes only. Viking Appliance is the worst brand. Viking appliances are only worth the metal that they are made of. DO NOT even look at a Viking Appliance. I encourage all owners of any Viking appliance to be truthful and help the next victim that maybe looking to buy the Viking brand.

I looked at Viking Ranges and the Wolf Stove thats in the same townhomes that we have and I liked the styling of Viking more. It was also on sale so I found a better deal on it. I like the Vikings quality a lot. I liked that its more mechanical and not as electronically based so I dont have to worry about a computer system going out. I like the broiler underneath it - its awesome. I also like the gas ring that has got different level of flames coming out, so the heats pushed up more. Those are whats great. But I really dont like how the oven vents at the back get so hot. The guy who sold it to us was a nice salesperson and I had a technician come out as well who was good. The Viking Range is high quality and I had a professional experience with the company.

When we went looking for a refrigeration system for Thanksgiving the salesperson showed us different brands and the Viking appealed to us. My wife liked the configuration of the shelves inside. She also likes the openness of this refrigerator. Its not cluttered and we could adjust the shelves. Diana, the person I dealt with at Viking, was super. The only thing is that they were so busy that they couldnt deliver the refrigerator so I went to pick it up.However, were having trouble with the icemaker. The refrigerator takes a couple of days for it to generate. It was making a little bit of ice and then all of a sudden it didn’t make ice. So we called the repair facility and that was not a happy thing for me because we had to find different dealers that would service Viking. We finally found one and they came out and worked on it. But after four days it had spit out about five ice cubes and that was it. We had the repair technician come out again and he said that theyll order a new one. I said okay and were waiting for the part to come in. Viking Refrigerators is one of the best ones a person could get. The biggest features would be its reliability and functionality.

Ive had the range for less than a year and there were all these things wrong with it. We had to have the repair people out. I purchased it through Abt and they did not have a repair person out for six weeks. I was without a stove over Thanksgiving and up to about a week before Christmas. I was not happy. Abt said those stoves are solid. But theyre not reliable quality machines. Im very upset with the whole thing. Now we purchased a Viking convection, that we cooked a little bit. But its not the same. So Im not happy with it. I would appreciate a call from Viking. I should be given some kind of five-year warranty on this because I dont know whats going to happen. I dont trust the machine.

Weve had a horrible experience with Vikings customer service. I got a brand-new fridge from them and it came scratched up. I told Viking about it and I sent pictures. But its very hard to show pictures of scratches, and they said they couldnt see the scratches. They sent somebody to fix it and clean the scratches, but they never really came off. A brand-new refrigerator should be perfect, yet it was leaking as well. It was a nonstop leak and everything was wrong with it. It was a lemon. Also, the door broke and wouldnt close, and we needed a new spring in the door. The refrigerator was under warranty, and we had many customer calls and bad experience. Whenever I called in, I sat on hold for half an hour. The contractor came here and said they couldnt fix the refrigerator. So, after 20 visits, we got a new Viking refrigerator. I had a GE before this that was a cheap refrigerator, but then, this was the worst incident Ive ever had. I wish they would make their customer service better. We have all Viking products but wouldnt recommend Viking to anybody. The product does not live up to its name and standard.

Our Viking refrigerator was installed in the home that we purchased. We liked the look of it more than anything. I mostly did the purchase online then I made a telephone call and arranged everything ahead of time. That worked fine and then I went to the store to pay for it. I havent been using the refrigerator every day and Ive only been back there once or twice but it looks really nice and seems to work fine. I also like the idea that its a free standing one but it can be put in a space where it looks like its built in. Its sort of a poor mans built-in refrigerator. Viking isnt exactly that cheap but I like the way it works. The capacity is a little bit less than the single door refrigerator at our own house but its fine for us. The quality is pretty good too.

Our Viking range is great. We know how good they are and how well theyre made. We like the simplicity of it. The only thing was that one of the grills didnt light up, so I had to have somebody come over and look at it. A piece was just disconnected and it was a pretty easy fix. They did a great job.

Problems with oven and burner not working: Range was purchased & installed. After the installer left one of the burners did not ignite. Called the store. They sent a service man to adjust, then it worked. The oven would not stay lit & had 2 servicemen out to check the problems. After the range was dismantled the problem was found (fan plugs not connected) & put back together. Not happy with the store that I purchased it from. NO help at all get problem resolved. Works ok now.

Ive had Viking products before and I heard about the Viking refrigerator from friends and people whove had Viking appliances. My son-in-law works for a company thats owned by Viking, so I got the friends-and-family deal, and it was a great deal. I like the French doors. In fact, this is the only slide-in refrigerator that Viking makes, and it was perfect for my kitchen thats relatively small. I just couldnt justify going up to a commercial grade refrigerator with a small kitchen. I also love the components of the freezer units. There are different areas where I can freeze things. Its very compact and efficient.I had a few questions regarding the refrigerator and the rep pointed out how to do the adjustments. I had called the Viking headquarters in Tennessee and asked for a hard copy version of the manual, even though its available online, but I never received it. Thats an oversight on their part, but I should just go ahead and print out the manual off of the internet. But other than that, Im very happy with the refrigerator. Its great. Its perfect for my needs and its a good-looking refrigerator, too.

Im writing this letter in hopes that you can help me with a continuous issue I have had with your 36 Viking Stove. My wife and I purchased a new home in 2008, at which point we decided to renovate our kitchen. When we purchased our appliances, there was no doubt in our minds we wanted a Viking Professional range and oven. We were excited and happy with our appliance for a short time until we began to use it. Over the course of 3 years, we have had nothing but constant troubles with the oven. First the igniter went twice, then the thermostat, then a defect with the range top. We have had several Viking repair visits, each costing $300 or higher.When we made the decision to buy Viking, it was with the thought in mind that paying a little more meant getting better quality, craftsmanship and dependability. Unfortunately, this has been far from the reality we have experienced. Most recently we replaced the thermostat for the baking function and the oven doesnt heat up.Needless to say, three weeks before Thanksgiving, we find ourselves with yet another service call and Im sure more costly repairs. I have done extensive research on the Internet and various consumer affairs sites and found that there has been a groundswell of complaints with your ovens. Frequent mention of inconsistent bake temperature, issues with your igniter system and thermostats lead me to believe there is a known set of defects with your product and this particular model.To that end I am asking that you stand by your product and replace the oven. An investment of $6000 should not require a constant stream of maintenance for a product that should bring with it quality and dependability. Rather than spend time posting disparaging complaints on various consumer products sites. I am asking that you address the issue I have had with your oven so I can get the quality and craftsmanship I expect.I am reaching out for your help after multiple calls to your call center and ask for someone to contact me immediately. I will pursue this issue further and if necessary rally the countless people I have seen voice concern with the range product you offer and have sold. Ive always wanted Viking appliances and I got a really good deal. I did it through AJ Madison. It was a package, so I got the fridge, the range, the hood, and the dishwasher. The range is beautiful. I havent gotten to using it, but Im very excited. I love everything. It really fits my house. It looks like everything is really good quality. AJ Madison was pretty good on the Viking products. However, they had a convicted felon deliver my products and steal my stove. AJ Madison and the freight company they subcontracted out to didnt do background checks and they hired a felon. He unloaded my stove before he delivered it to my house and tried to tell me that he delivered it and didnt know where it went. But AJ Madison made it right.

We bought the new model of Viking Refrigerator that was a little less expensive than Subzero and got better reviews. We like it and my favorite is its lighting feature. Viking Refrigerator is okay but we’re not blown away. We noticed that the icemaker doesn’t know when to stop making ice, it just overflows. It does all right keeping things cold but sometimes it’s freezing something and sometimes it’s not. It’s just bizarre, it’s like some things in a certain area of the refrigerator tend to freeze. Almost not solid frozen but get close to frozen. It looks great though. Its aesthetically pleasing. I have a cheap refrigerator in Florida that performs the same. Nonetheless, the Viking dealer was great. We got all of our appliances through them. If someone would ask about Viking, Id tell them to do the research and really find out what products work the best. Viking is a good line but I think refrigerators are overrated.

Just started cooking in brand new oven. The smaller left side oven just made a loud sound and is now not functioning. The right side oven door hinge came off when opening the door and nearly slammed on my foot. I was barely able to lift the door to get it in place. I have only had the 48 range installed the last two weeks. Very disappointed that Viking made in America is poor quality. I now have to wait until Monday to get any support. Anyone else have this experience?

3 years ago my stove top exploded (a sealed burner unit) in my nannys face; singed her hair and eyebrows. Luckily the pot of boiling water did not go up in the air (the gas tubes held one side of the stove top in place). After repeated calls to the dealer, distributor and CEOs office I was told that since the unit was 2 months out of warranty it was not their problem. Amazing. Now I have 2 30 ovens that are about 7 y/o and they beep all day and night. However, they dont make (or repair) the electronics panel parts anymore. So again out of luck and need to pay $6,000 for the ovens to be replaced.Today I get the call that my $8,000 wine cooler, about 5 years old, needs new evaporators and it is $3 to 4,000 to repair. What a horrible company and product line. You pay full price for high end products and you get junk with a company that does not stand by its appliances. Stay far far away from Viking. I will gladly find the picture of the stove top if anyone wants to see.

We wanted a built-in refrigerator and something that would be good quality. We were gonna go with Jenn-Air but we heard that the compressors on the Vikings were better. We were also looking at Sub-Zero but we heard that there was a lot of maintenance that needed to be done every year for their compressors. The people that we talked to said that Viking didn’t have that sort of maintenance requirement and we heard that Viking was really good. So, we went with them. We were also looking for something that was fairly wide and the one that we got from Viking was a pretty big unit. We have it for a while now and our experience has been good. Its quality is okay although some things get really frozen at the top of the refrigerator. There was also a squeak in the door, and people came out and fixed it. After that, we havent heard as much squeaking as before and the refrigerator has been doing all right.

Our Viking refrigerator stopped working. Then the oven that we chose worked for a month and stopped working, too. We had technicians coming back and forth with new parts for three times, but it never worked. And it took a while, from February until October, until Viking decided to give us a new one. We have a new oven now and its working. The refrigerator is also working now, so Im happy. But I was three weeks without it and it was a nightmare. The delivery of the part took forever and I didnt know what was causing the delay, especially with something so important like a refrigerator. When I was talking with the company that Viking recommended me to call, they said that we had to wait, that the delay was not on them, and that it was Viking that was taking forever to deliver the part. We also have an issue with the dishwasher. It’s not working properly because it’s not drying the dishes. But I haven’t called and made a complain about it because the repair took so long with the oven and the refrigerator. So our Viking experience hasn’t been good at all. It was frustrating and more than challenging. We thought we had the best appliances when we got Viking. But my husband and I were talking and we said that if we move, Viking would not be the brand we’re gonna choose.

Appliances were ordered through Ferguson Appliances and I do not have a Viking order number. The number above references the job number for repairs. I was very pleased with the design of my refrigerator and oven. Both required repairs within a few weeks of installation. The oven was overheating and shutting off. The refrigerator cooling drawer wasnt working and the freezer was not maintaining an even temperature. The repair service was efficient but it took quite some time to receive parts. I was very surprised both products began malfunctioning so soon after installation (within 1-2 months).

My wife wanted a Viking range and the quality of the equipment turned out to be fantastic. The kids and my wife do all the cooking and they love working on it. The BTU that Vikings have warmed up things a lot quicker. I would recommend Viking Ranges. The dealers that we went to were good, however, I don’t think they knew their equipment that much. We already knew what we wanted and I went with some questions like if we should go with a smaller or bigger and they couldnt answer it. They didn’t seem to be extremely sharp at it. They told me to go with the bigger motor and asked me why would I go with the small one but that was why we were asking.

The Viking range was built in the house that we bought. My wife looks pleased with it, but I have heard her complain that cleaning it is a bit involved.

My handles keep loosening and tightening does not work. I would love suggestions as my fridge is less than two years old and to have handles that come off is rather bizarre. I was told I could have someone come out and checkout the price... over 200 to just tighten handles that no one can tighten... The allen wrench holes do not function.

Issues include: Plastic drawers and flip covers all cracked. Ice maker replaced multiple times. Freezer door does not maintain a complete seal. The collection pan at the bottom of the refrigerator overflows.

My husband wanted to go with Viking. When we were at a store, they were trying to persuade us not to. They kept telling us that the Viking refrigerator tend to fail quite often and a lot of their customers actually had problems with it once it goes out of warranty, and so they have to pay out of pocket to get it fixed. So, we were persuaded not to get it but my husband was determined to get it because we bought extended warranty. We like our refrigerator. We dont have any problems with it overall. We have the one side freezer, and one side fridge. We like it. Its big. I like the icemaker. Its convenient because its so wide. I wish theres more space, but overall, it functions fine. So far, were satisfied.

Viking ranges have a good resell value and I like the brand. I purchased one a month ago and my experience with it is going well so far.

I used to be a restaurant owner so Ive always known what a great product Viking gives out. My daughter is a chef so shes heard of them, and we have some friends that have Viking. Everything was great. The Viking dealer was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The range is perfect and has excellent quality. It was sturdy, perfectly flamed, and keeps the temperature. All is very good, and its a stove that I only buy once in a lifetime. Everything I need as a cook is there, and I dont need to buy anything else.

I like that Viking has a gas range and its large enough for the six burners that I have. I knew about them through word of mouth and after looking online at different options, I chose to buy from them due to brand recognition and the more commercial look of their ranges. When I called Viking, their reps were very helpful, easy to deal with, and immediately helped me register my range so I could get the process started in the repair that I needed. I’ve had a couple of issues but they’ve been addressed through the warranty. They referred me to a local appliance repair company and theyve been responsive. It took a few weeks to fix the issues and there was a back-and-forth on getting the right parts in, but there had been no extraordinary delays. Currently, there’s still one remaining item for repair and they’re ordering a separate part for that.

My fridge door fell off and nearly hit my two-year-old son; he was about two feet away. The door is heavy, probably 150 lbs, so it probably would have killed him. Whats worse is when I discovered there had been a recall, I found out that this is the new improved model where they supposedly fixed the door problem! I contacted the company and over a month later, we are still waiting to receive a new refrigerator. The door also put a big divot in the kitchen floor but we are just happy that it missed our son.

I’ve known about Viking Ranges for a long time and I like the features of the Series 7. I bought my range from Bade Appliances where they had it on display. The quality of the range is very good and the convection bake is my favorite feature. I use it everyday to cook some chicken for my dog, and it’s very fast. The chicken comes out very flavorful and moist too.

Viking was high end, but cheaper than Wolf. Also, its relatively easier to clean than a Thermador. But Vikings quality is mediocre. If youre deciding between a Wolf and a Viking, you should spend the money and get a Wolf. But if youre deciding between if you want to go high end or low end, Id get the Viking because it is a nice brand. Everyone mentions it when they come in the house. The supplier that I bought the range from was amazing. They were so great in working with Viking to make sure I was under warranty.

Our freezer arrived and then we had to wait a long time for the refrigerator. Then when we finally were getting it installed, it turned out that the freezer wasnt working. It didnt have coolant in it. So we had a couple of people come out to fix it. Weve also ordered parts for the new freezer but were still determining whether we want to put them in or not because it seems to be working now. Other than that, its a great refrigerator and the quality is good. I like the dispenser of water inside the refrigerator and it looks good.

I went to an appliance store and compared Viking to others. There was a Viking representative in there who showed me some things that were different about the range. So thats when I made my final decision. Ive only owned the range for six months and I really like the dual fuel.

The dishwasher had problems working within the first few months. We thought we just did not know how to use it. We have a three year warranty. Two and a half years later, we finally called for a warranty service call. We were told that Viking has a recall on all their dishwashers. We have had three service calls to date, its still not working. The service person has replaced almost every circuit board, wiring loom, motor, pump etc. Now we need a fourth service call to replace another circuit board. I am now asking Pacific Sales to replace my dishwasher. I was told no by one of their employees. Im now waiting for a manager to call me back. I am insisting Pacific Sales replace the defective dishwasher they sold me.

The experience with Viking Refrigerators has been great so far although I had to have some repairs done immediately. It was nothing big. During the shipping, one screw got loose and one light cap came off. I have a technician coming out today for an EO code on my under the counter fridge. I called the warranty company local in Houston and theyre good.

I bought a Viking dishwater 11 months ago. During this time, I had to call their repair representative 5 times. I was very dissatisfied with this as I had paid more than twice an average dishwasher and expected better quality and not worse. I have been using dishwashers for more than 30 years and never had any problems before this one. Last week, the washer broke down again and the repair guy said that an olive pit had gone past the filter and into the drain, and he claimed that this was my fault and the warranty would not cover this situation! Now, I always wipe plates and try to get everything off but it is possible thata pit might be stuck to the bottom of a plate or glass and isnt the filter suppose to get that? I consider the design of the filter to be faulty and called Viking but they would not accept paying for the repair. I will never buy Viking again and will relay my experience to everyone I know and recommend them to stay away from Viking products which are highly priced, have poor reliability, and bad customer service.

We met with the district sales manager of Viking Refrigerators and it was a great meeting. We switched from Dacor and purchased from them. But when the first appliance that we bought came though, I sent him an email with pictures of the problem and never heard one word. Weve had trouble with the refrigerator and with the oven, and now we’ve got a service call in for the dishwasher, and it hasnt been a great experience. Our interaction with the customer service reps has been a disaster and they handled the situation poorly. I was spending 20,000 bucks and I wanted to get the issues resolved, and I didnt have time to mess with them. So, we went right to the retailer, Abt, and we dealt with them and they responded very promptly. The Viking product is great but getting it here in one piece is the issue. Were very satisfied with the final results, but there was no response from Viking from May until now to get the issues resolved. On the other hand, Abt was great and Id go to them any day of the week. But dont go to Viking.

A family member introduced me to Viking ranges and their aesthetics and performance convinced me to buy from them. The people at the dealership were great and knowledgeable about the product. Weve been using our range for a month now and so far so good. Weve tried all its features and they all work very well.

I have several friends who have Viking Ranges and they all have raved about it. I use it often at their lake houses, vacation homes, and homes. I purchased mine from Elite Appliances in Dallas and my personal contact was Jeff. He was the most responsive vendor I’ve ever worked with. He would follow up on a regular basis via email, phone call, and text messaging. I was very impressed with him. He really took me on as a very personal customer and he was very good about understanding what I really needed. I was buying five or six different Viking pieces which was a big order that I’m sure was small to him. The product quality is exceptional and the range itself is very sturdy and more commercial like.

First unit replaced by HADCO because of compressor failure. Second unit is worse with multiple issues and problems; ice build up on bottom freezer, water leaking onto hardwood floor, plastic drawer fronts and pulls breaking, ice maker supply tube freezing, bad door seals, both door hinges broken, and several more issues. Ive had it with Viking and HADCO and have a Facebook page: ** for others to post photos and complaints with the hope we will be heard by Viking.

I thought Viking has very good appliances. I’m learning more and more, theyre really not on top of the chart of being the best of the best. I dont like anything that I got from Viking. The fridge, I like the ice maker on the door more than the inside of the freezer ‘cause every time I open up the freezer, it always falls down. I also don’t like the stove. Its my fault for not spending 2,000 more on the self-cleaning oven. But I like the drawer microwave. That’s working well. My dishwasher is working well too.

I like that the Viking refrigerator is spacious and industrial. However, we had to have their techs come out a couple of times to stop the squeaking of the doors. It was annoying to have to do that when you first get the refrigerator purchased and set up. But their team is professional and friendly.

We wanted matching appliances but I didnt want a built-in refrigerator because it was too much money. Viking had the other type of refrigerator and that worked for us. The quality is good and we like it.

I had heard about the Viking range at the culinary school, and I got one because I really liked its performance. Ive had my Viking range since November and its really good. I like the open burner and that it has the two ovens, and I love to work with the griddle. But it was actually pretty rough with the team at the Viking dealer where I purchased it. I bought it from the website and they dropped it off, but they didnt install it, and it was here lying in my kitchen without the feet for a few weeks. I was going back and forth with them on the phone, asking them to come and install it because its a heavy range and I couldnt install it myself or with my husband. I remember that I was preparing this huge dinner for Thanksgiving with my family and we just ended up going to my in-laws house. Finally, they installed my range in the first week of December, almost four weeks after it was delivered. Despite that bad experience with the delivery, however, I will surely recommend Viking. The experience I had with my Viking range was amazing. Everybody said theyre very impressed with my range, and I love it. I love to cook and bake in it.

I like the look and size of my Viking Refrigerator. It works well in keeping my stuff cold. However, it leaks at the bottom and inside. Ive been with Viking back and forth numerous times. Theyve had three different service people come to my house and they dont know how to repair it. Im waiting to hear back from them because I want my refrigerator replaced. Its rusted, it has discoloration, and the inside parts, God only knows what they look like. My floor is warped and Ive had to stick Bounty paper towels under my refrigerator to absorb the water that pours out. Its been hellish and months upon months have gone by and Viking still has not addressed the issue. They have barely contacted me. Im highly dissatisfied with them.

Viking is got a good name and I liked the size of the burners. The range is dual fuel, which is what I wanted. Right now, there’s a very narrow slot in the back of the range for the gas piping. If that slot could be made larger, it would make it easier to conceal the piping. Viking could also put in a smaller burner. Because right now, youve got four large burners, and sometimes you only got to cook with a small pan. But I like the ignition. It lights up really quick. Its a good stove.

Viking had a large selection, a solid website and competitive pricing. Thats why weve chosen to use them. Unfortunately, I regret purchasing from a wholesale applianve store. I understood that because of COVID, the fridge took a very long time to arrive at our house. But from day one, the fridge never even worked. I contacted Appliances Connection and never heard an answer back. So I went through a technician who referred me to the Viking warranty technician in town. He came out and told me that the Viking fridge that I purchased had a manufacture date of somewhere in 2018. This was the fall of 2020 when I got the fridge. He also said that there was damage on the inside of it. He has replaced it and the fridge has been working fine since. But for about 90 days, I had a refrigerator in my kitchen that wouldnt get cold.I never got in touch with Appliances Connection ever. I had to go out on my own to find out who was the Viking warranty technician in town and that process was very pleasurable. Once I got hold of Viking Corporate, they resolved the issue very easily. Now that the fridge has been fixed by the warranty technician, nothing out of my pocket, everything has been great. Viking, as a company, has done a great job. Were enjoying the fridge and I love it. All the new technology is new and fun to us since my wife and I havent purchased a new fridge in probably a decade.

Weve had an okay with our Viking range, but the oven temperatures tend to fluctuate pretty wildly.

We just bought the Viking 5 series. The grate started flaking when I first used it and left black flakes on the stove. And to make it worse the stove discolors with just the most basic use and it requires serious scrubbing to get the grime off the stainless steel part around the burner. This is absolutely not what I expected when I paid over $3500 for this cooktop range.

There were a couple of things that went bad and we called Viking. They came and fixed it. One thing was the installation. When the tech put the microwave in, there were some side pieces that they had to fit in. They didn’t put it in and we had to complain a lot.

Im a kitchen and bath remodeling contractor and I installed a Viking rvgr3305bss 30 gas range and, it came with 2 out of 5 knobs, were missing inserts, and called, and was on hold forever. Then when I explained the problem, they said it was probably Best Buys fault??? Luckily they are sending replacements but its a problem that should not exist. They should check these out before shipping them. Ive installed ranges from others that are a third the price and have much better quality - very disappointed. Might I mention this range cost $3,600. Buy Kenmore or Whirlpool, they are of much better quality.

On my second Viking electric induction oven, with the same problem as the first that it does not reach required temp. When preheating to just 300 degrees, it can take as long as 1 hour. Stay away from Viking!

I like to cook and I liked the look and feel of an industrial kitchen. Ive seen Viking ranges in other apartments. I read that they are quality stoves and ranges so I purchased one. Ive only had mine for a month and I like certain things about it. The stovetop is great. The heat and the flames are instantaneous and the igniters are quick. The temperature levels are really high. In that regard, its been good to cook on. But the oven is a big down point since its not working. Its a big part of the unit. Theres somethings wrong with the igniter. Its clicking a lot and its not getting to temperature. I spoke with somebody yesterday and the interaction was fine. I felt like I achieved what I was trying to do. But I havent heard back from anybody about making the appointment so somebody can come and look at the oven. They hire out locally. The range is under warranty but I didnt expect that a month in, I would have any work on it. I feel like I got a machine that isnt functioning. You could buy a way less expensive stove and probably have a more reliable oven. Overall, I have a beautiful looking range that performs well on the top but in regard to the oven not working, its not good for cooking.
