Weve had Viking for a long time in our family and the range fits with the design of our kitchen. We got it from a local dealer and they were easy to work with. However, the quality of the range has been a little bit surprising. For the price, Im surprised that weve had issues with the burners not working compared to other ranges weve owned from other manufacturers. We had someone out to fix our Viking dishwasher which had issues, and at the same time, they addressed the burner. Although after they addressed it, it was broken again so theyve been out again. So weve had bad experience.

Wow. Im glad I discovered this site. It is somewhat comforting to know that so many other people have been totally screwed by Viking CRAP. My $10,000.00 Professional refrigerator is a total joke. The produce drawers freeze everything. The inside is fragile plastic and replacing parts is a nightmare. I talked to a carpenter just today about re-configuring the cabinetry that the Viking Professional (48 X 83) is built into, and replacing it with a normal refrigerator designed for a home. I also bought a double Thermador oven and 48 cooktop. I like it, but was told by the store that the appliances were purchased from that when things start to break on the stove, I wont be able to replace any parts because Thermador has an aggressive obsolescence policy, and you cant get parts after 7 years.I will replace the cooktop with a Wolf cooktop when it finally stops working.

My wife liked the style as well as the lights of the Viking Refrigerator and the salesman in the store recommended it. Their customer service was also the best. The only thing were not crazy about is the ice maker. Its got the arm but I dont know if its done on sensors where it doesnt overflow and doesnt really fill the refrigerator in. But then Viking is great and we love it.

I knew of Viking 30 years ago. I live near the North Shore which is a pretty area and Viking was all they had in their houses. Thats what they got and that’s what I wanted. It was either Viking or Wolf stoves we were looking at. Wolf only had built-in refrigerators but when we designed our kitchen, we didnt do a built-in area for the refrigerators. Viking had the range, the microwave, and the refrigerator so we went with them. We used Grand Appliances in Libertyville and they were phenomenal. I was a pretty savvy consumer so I went about and did my research before I went in. We had a saleswoman who was fantastic too.We like the Viking range. It works and I like the blue light. The only thing we dont like about it is it doesnt have a timer on there, like a digital display. It has the knob on it that tells the temperature, though. When Im cooking something in the oven, I have to set the timer. Other than that, every appliance in our kitchen is all Viking. We bought a Viking microwave, so we set the timer on that. Our dishwasher is Viking too. When we had one little problem with our refrigerator, they came out to fix it. Now, its making a knocking noise but hopefully, it will go away before we call back. Overall, Id recommend Viking.

Ive had Viking products before and I heard about the Viking refrigerator from friends and people whove had Viking appliances. My son-in-law works for a company thats owned by Viking, so I got the friends-and-family deal, and it was a great deal. I like the French doors. In fact, this is the only slide-in refrigerator that Viking makes, and it was perfect for my kitchen thats relatively small. I just couldnt justify going up to a commercial grade refrigerator with a small kitchen. I also love the components of the freezer units. There are different areas where I can freeze things. Its very compact and efficient.I had a few questions regarding the refrigerator and the rep pointed out how to do the adjustments. I had called the Viking headquarters in Tennessee and asked for a hard copy version of the manual, even though its available online, but I never received it. Thats an oversight on their part, but I should just go ahead and print out the manual off of the internet. But other than that, Im very happy with the refrigerator. Its great. Its perfect for my needs and its a good-looking refrigerator, too.

The (Microwave/convection) oven was 3 months old when it started making a noise. Viking arranged for a service tech take a look at it. During that service appointment, the oven blew a circuit in our home and quit working. That was 6 months ago and I STILL dont have my oven. After 3 separate appointments and still no resolution, Viking still refuses to replace the oven and insists on yet another service appointment. I would NEVER recommend Viking to anyone! We are beyond disappointment and down right angry.

I had a friend that had Viking appliances and we really liked the appearance. It was something that we were interested in. We liked all the great things we heard about hem too. With our Viking range, I like the quality and the way it distributes heat. But when our range was delivered, there were tapes inside the two glasses and we still have those in there. Thats something that somebody is coming out to look at and they will take it out from there.

We were promised the delivery date of our Viking Range was some time at the end of June of last year. But we kept getting pushed off. We were told it would be two more weeks. It just kept going and going. Finally, we got ahold of somebody high up in Pirch who said that we might not have it until the middle of this year. We started calling around. I decided that if I couldnt have a Viking, it was okay because I just wanted an oven. I hadnt had one in almost a year. We finally found someplace in New York that had a model that we ended up purchasing. It got delivered in November of last year, five months after our original date was promised and it was dented. We got ahold of somebody. They told us that they would get a new part out to us. But we still havent gotten a new part out. Im super disappointed. It was also broken when it was delivered and it took five weeks to get it fixed. But I love cooking on it. Its amazing. Weve made some pizza dough and Ive used the proofing feature, which I didnt even know it had. That was really cool.

The builder selection for our new house was a Viking Model RVDR3301 Range. The range burners are very difficult to control and it is easy to overheat what you are cooking. The simmer functionality is very non-linear and if you’re not careful the burner will go out. Cleaning the range top requires dismantling the burners, which have some delicate parts.The oven temperature takes forever to preheat and the temperature varies quite a bit. Initially it would varied much as 50 degrees at 300 and the average temperature was off by 25 degrees. Even after two adjustments to correct the offset it still makes cooking delicate things like a cake difficult and everything seems to take longer to cook. The window in the oven door fogs up if you are cooking anything moist making it difficult to see what’s going on in the oven. And the chrome plating came off the oven racks and they needed to be replaced under warranty.

I bought a house that has a Viking fridge installed in it. Its okay, but right now my fridge is overfreezing and I got frost on top of everything so Im not so thrilled with it. I had reps at Viking come over to take a look at the crooked refrigerator and it went fine.

I have a large family, I cook a lot and I needed something strong and durable. I got the Viking stove and its very powerful. However, I have a problem inserting the racks. I make a cake, slide the racks out and the racks stick and go off the track. They dont slide in and out comfortably. And then, I have a vent above the stove and I have glass in the back of the stove instead of stainless steel. My husband pushed the stove too close to the glass so the first time I used the oven, the glass exploded. Also, its very busy to keep the top clean because it doesn’t have sealed burners. It has grates that I have to take in and out and steel wool in between every little crevice there on the top. I have adult sons that are slobs when it comes to cleaning so it’s an extra effort for me to keep this range clean on the top. I would have looked at something different and paid $1,000 extra and gotten a sealed burner. But I got what I got and I use S.O.S Steel Wool to keep the top clean every day. Otherwise, the stove is terrific and I like it.

Although the refrigerator parts are guaranteed, you have to be a certified Viking repairman to have parts released to you. This is as bad as extortion. The repairman is charging us 1200$ for 2 hours worth of work. And hes the only one in the Chicagoland area.

I was looking for higher end appliances, so we decided to go with Viking and have had nothing but problems. The refrigerators doors had a crack in it. The doors were not aligned. The freezer is always kind of opening and not sealing properly. Its a bit noisy. Then there was indenting, and this is the second time it happened in the fridge. I dont know why. I realized I have an extended 10-year warranty with PC Richard so I had the guy come out again, and he said he had to order a bunch of parts, and he placed the order. I hope that is being handled.As far as my range, its horrible. Im always having trouble. It is a very high-end stove that the burners half the time arent working. Its not holding the proper temperature inside. I feel like its a limit. I would put it on 400 but it only went to 300. Viking replaced the burners a couple of times. They come and fix it, but it reoccurs. Theres something wrong with the actual range itself. And then, when I called Viking because of everything that happened to have it serviced again because they canceled my last service due to the COVID, they told me Im out of warranty now. But its the same problem Ive been having since I got the range. Ive called in again but nobody has gotten back to me. They were supposed to push it up to management. I made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding whats going on.

I wanted a good quality commercial-grade range that I could count on. I’ve been familiar with Viking for quite some time. The dealer we had was very professional. I had been to another dealer that was less than desirable to the point that I was almost insulted that they never even acknowledged that my wife and I were there. I researched and found the Athens Refrigeration. When we walked in the store, it was completely different. They were very patient and informative. They spent all the time that we needed and they would have spent more had I needed it.We bought an electric French door Viking oven and a range with the gas. We converted to gas when we made the change. We’re liking the gas more than the electric. We haven’t had our range long but so far I’m pleased with it. I also plan to visit the Viking store. I’ve been there before in Greenwood and the cooking school.

We bought our Viking refrigerator through Best Buy’s Big Sale. The quality is good and it looks good too.

We had an old FiveStar 48-inch and we were the second owner and it was on its last legs, so we decided to get a new one instead of spending a lot of money fixing it up. But of course we had a 48-inch space, so we needed a big oven to fill that space instead of redoing the counters. My wife looked at Wolf, Thermador, and the likes and they were all comparably priced. Viking was on the higher end, but one of the main things that had my wife decide was that she was able to get it in colors. Also, she had worked in the restaurant business before and had used Viking on the commercial side. So she knew that they held up and they lasted.The Viking Range works as advertised. It has a griddle and a convection feature. It also has a small oven for a casserole dish and a big one that would fit a full-size cookie sheet with room to spare. We bought it in a store and the dealer was helpful and courteous. They also answered all our questions. However, we had to wait for 12 weeks because of the color but on the day we decided to buy it, we were in and out of there in no time at all.

The quality is good. The only thing I dont like about the range is the burner is chipping already. Other than that, its a great range. I highly recommend it.

I wanted a single unit for the fridge and a single unit for the freezer, and Viking had that kind of option for me. However, Ive had mixed feelings because the first one I got had something wrong with the door and it ended up causing water damage on the floor of my new home. I was not very happy about that, but they have remedied the problem and I got a brand new refrigerator.Their team was also friendly.

I had nothing but headaches with my Viking Refrigerator because of the little thing at the top for ventilation. The guy installed it too far to one way. He acted like he knew what he was doing and as though it was no problem. He took the tape off, and put it all the way to the right when it should’ve been centered up. The guy from Pac Sales says they’re not going to do anything about it. I said, “I’m an older person. I can’t take it off.” We’ve got to pull the refrigerator out and the thing at the top. My real dilemma is that they want me to take it off, take it down to the store and get the new one to put it back on. The lady says, “Well, why don’t you hire a handyman to do that?” I go, “A handyman? That’s gonna cost me money to have a handyman take this off.” I felt very dissatisfied with that situation. I like the refrigerator and how it’s keeping certain things cold. Its roomy with lots of different compartments. Its really nice and looks beautiful. My favorite feature would be the ice deal because I can just scoop it out. But I’m having a problem with the filler thing, that I feel I’ve been gypped. I should’ve been more assertive towards the salesman and the others. I was lost in the delivery and now I’m at odds with them to have it fixed. Viking should have some very faint lines from the top of the refrigerator where they should’ve had the insert.

I was looking at Thermador, Viking, and Wolf, and read reviews on all of these. But aesthetically, I liked Viking better in the price that I was looking for. I love it. I like the burners, the handles, the very large oven, as well as the top and bottom trays that move on the inside. I have the 36-inch, with a six-burner and the size is great. I went from cooking on electric to liquid propane, so its a little different. It took me a bit of time to get used to the timing for the oven, but now that I do, I like it because it cooks so much quicker on the stovetop. The oven is a little bit slower, but it seems to make the heat evenly dispersed, so it cooks much better salmon, chicken, and quiche. Any issue that I had, Viking resolved immediately. They were honest, efficient, very responsive to any calls, and had great customer service. They were really good to work with, and the installers did a great job. I couldnt be happier.

We purchased an expensive free standing gas range, model VGCC530-4BSS, because we were tired of having to fix our old electric range. From day one the front knobs got hot when the oven was on for a long period of time. We never really thought too much of it until just recently when the oven would quit working after being on for a while, for example, when cooking a turkey etc. Through my own investigation, along with limited help from Viking I figured out that the oven door doesnt seal at the top. There isnt an adjustment to rectify this problem. Viking suggested new hinges, at the bargain price of $120 each, which I fail to see making any difference as this has been an issue from day one. Not to mention I removed the door, inspected the hinges and could not find anything wrong with them. I strongly feel that the only solution to this problem is to buy a new stove, one that doesnt have the Viking label on the front. This will be our first and last Viking product EVER!

I originally purchased a different brand of refrigerator and I wasn’t happy with it. I needed to have it exchanged and I went with Viking since I got a wine cooler and a stove from them before. My Viking refrigerator is fine and its quality is very good. But its size is a little bit small and there is less space in there with the kind of depth it has. Also, its freezing at the top part of my refrigerator when I put things up there. The serviceman said he had to order a part and he was supposed to come back and replace it, so Im waiting. But so far, everything is very good and working out okay now, and I would recommend the refrigerator to people. Although I was not very happy with the sales people when I bought the first refrigerator, I would recommend the store to anybody.

Ive known Viking for many years then at one time, we had a good offer and my wife liked it, so we got their refrigerator. The quality of the product is good but I have a minor issue with the ice maker. Every time I call for ice, I cant get this to come out. The ice seems stuck, trapped inside between the box and the dispenser. The flap that opens up to drop the ice is always stuck. Viking has sent someone out, looked at it and said I would be ordered a new ice maker. But we have not gotten it yet. Other than the ice maker problem, the fridge performs well and everything works great.

8 years old and problems all along. Spent thousands trying to repair last year and it is still a nightmare! Freezer freezes up all of the time and ice maker has been broken for years. Never again Viking!!!

I have had my Viking built in side by side for one year -- I chose Viking thinking it was a quality product. It is NOT -- the items on the top shelf the refrigerator ice up, the items in the freezer frost up and at six months a new part had to be installed in the freezer compressor. It was defective and froze the whole compressed up -- we had to move everything to a cheap Kenmore freezer which has worked for years to keep until the part came in and the repair was made. Now 3 months later it is doing the same thing. This is either a defective unit or Viking is making junk and charging a lot for it. Next step for us is to demand a replacement for this side by side and if they wont do that we will sue for a refund! Sad that this brand has become junk!

I had a recommendation of Viking Ranges. I also love to cook and wanted a professional oven. The oven is a bit of learning curve in terms of induction cooking and convection cooking, so I’m kind of working on that. I understand it’s better technology but most people don’t want to learn anything new. The range does boiling within 60 seconds, and it’s a hard-boil. Also, the team at the Viking dealer was excellent. They helped me and went out of their way to explain the induction and all the different pieces.

The builder of our home referred us to an appliance place and we ended up with a Viking refrigerator because of the style. We also like the freezer at the bottom. Its three years old now. However, the ice makers broken which is not great. We called and were working on the repair but its taken several weeks.

We love the Viking range. We got it through a third party and received it in a week. My contractor did the installation so it was great. I like that the oven and the space for the burners are big.

I was looking for a larger stove, a 36 or a 48, and I wanted one with 6 burners. I looked around and I bought a Viking range. We love it. It would be hard to have a cheaper range now and to go to something without all the features that this one has. The burners are very hot and the oven is huge. The only thing is it would have been nice if it was a self-cleaning oven because I’m lazy.

I needed a particular oven size and Viking Range has them. I like the burners to their double oven. but were now on range number 4. Their corporate guy came out when we had a problem and he solved it. After we got through the the second one, we were good. We had good help at solving the problem. As a matter of fact, they cut the manufacturing down on them until they figure out whats wrong.

I love to cook and I’ve always been impressed with the stuff from Viking. Ive always wanted a range from them. Some of the other brands dont meet my expectations. I got a Viking range lately and Ive had a bit of an issue with the burners. I’m out in the boonies so it’s on propane. But then, I don’t think the burners on the range burn evenly as I can get a higher flame on one side. Nevertheless, I love the six burners and the way the range looks. Its a convection oven also and overall its been performing well.

The Viking range was a perfect fit for our location. I love the stove top. It cranks up pretty quickly, but I’m very pleased with it. It fit our needs perfectly. We don’t have a gas so having a convection oven and the electric top allowed me to do some things that I couldn’t do before. We also bought a microwave and a dishwasher at the same time we bought the range and were also happy with them.

Our Viking Microwave that we purchased 2008 has blown a hole in the bottom of the microwave. I contacted three representatives from Viking, including the West Coast Office president, Bob Woods, who could not help us. We took numerous pictures and e-mailed them to him. He then talked with their engineers who had no idea what happened. This is supposed to be a top of the line product. I am extremely frustrated that I have been given the runaround with no answers. Our appliance repairman (Executive Appliance) said he has never seen anything like this, as the bottom of the microwave is metal. My husband and I live alone and are in our late 50s and do not put anything exotic in the microwave, so this is not an issue. PLEASE HELP!

We had a bad experience with our GE Profile refrigerator. The drawers were flimsy and plastic and I replaced one particular drawer three different times in six years. So we went to our appliance store, looked at our options for refrigerators and see what would physically fit into our existing space. We have Viking stoves and we like them and the gentleman showed us the Viking refrigerator. We liked the way it looked and it fit our space so we bought it. We also liked its vegetable drawer which is much better than the GE. We have a lot of fruits and vegetable in our house and we use the wide drawer for vegetables. We can live with it. However, when the ice maker feature drops in a little bucket, it kind of makes a big noise. But beyond that, its been great. Their team at the dealer was also very good. Unfortunately, the guys that came out and put the refrigerator in the first time didnt level it. It was an inch and a half out off the cabinets that it sort of resides in on the top and an eighth of an inch out on the bottom. But we called the next day and the guys at Aitoro sent somebody out within an hour and a half. They leveled it and it was perfect.

I was replacing an old unit which Ive had for 10 years with Viking refrigerator, the same unit. The old one had a problem with the door hinge so it was recalled. The new Viking is excellent. It was a newer model because there wasn’t an exact replacement with the older model. Everybody was very, very nice and everything was absolutely perfect.

There appears to be a design flaw with the oven Ignitor to the burner assembly of the 30 Viking oven stove. I have had now 4 service calls in 7 months. I purchased from ABT with poor response.

Our designer and the manager of the store we went to highly recommended the Viking range. We love its look and the small oven is awesome. My husband is the main cook and he loves how it simmers where you can get it really low and then also for making meatballs. As of this moment, our Viking isnt working properly. Parts are needed and the appliance repair company said that they have been waiting on it for over a month now. But other than that what works is great. The only suggestion I could make is for them to have a childproof type of lock. They got plastic covered knobs but those dont look good. The ones where you can push in and turn would be awesome, but I could not find any.

We bought a new house and Viking appliances came with it. One of those appliances was a refrigerator and Ive found that the layout and functioning bit of it has been fine. Its of good quality and it has nice hardy doors. However, I have two issues with the freezer that will make me not wanna buy that product again. First, when I open up the door at the bottom where the ice maker slides out, the whole drawer comes out with it because of the magnets at the front. If the icebox is full, the little metal arm thing that comes down knocks all the ice off. Ice goes all over the floor and the back of the freezer and thats a major pain. We have hardwood floors and so when the ice falls on it, we cant feel like we can just leave it. Another issue I have is that when the pump turns on to pump water into the ice machine. It’s super loud, like really loud. You can hear it across the whole house. While we can tell it’s filling, all the other pumps weve ever had for other houses that weve owned have been super quiet. We couldnt even hear the water running. I will not buy that particular model again because of these two issues. Nevertheless, the freezer keeps things cold and it works really well. I think it’s a good quality product but the ice maker and water pump are poorly designed.

We have had Viking Ranges since they pretty much came out. We are on our third Viking Range. When we remodeled our house, my husband wanted to get me something high quality because I’m a baker and I cook a lot. So we’ve researched and thats what came up. I like the way the Viking Range looks. We also renovate houses since the 80s and we always put a Viking Range in there. We flip higher end houses and people wanted Viking look or Wolf. We bought one Wolf and I hated the Wolf. I was like, Forget it. I don’t have to buy another Wolf. Weve bought plenty of Viking Ranges.The first one I had was a gas range and I loved it. And then we traded that for a dual fuel electric oven which I hated. The oven was much smaller and I couldnt fit all my baking pans. I couldnt even fit a turkey in it. I was really disappointed in that. It also started arching, spitting and shooting flames out the vent and the top. Wed called Viking to find out if there was any root cause. And they said not that they are aware of. So we ended up going through our insurance company in getting a new one. I got the Dual Fuel Viking Range. Its the four-burner. They did change the oven so its much bigger. Ive baked four cakes already with it and its only been a month. I wish they would have had one on the floor so I could have looked at it. But most people arent caring them because theyre so expensive.The people that I talked to at Viking have been very nice. But I wish we could have gotten more information about the other one that had started the fire. They didnt seem very interested and we still have that oven. They werent also going to take the oven so we figured we just hang on to it and see. Were thinking of making an outside kitchen and just tearing the oven apart and turning it into an outside stove. They also have people who came to hook a Viking Range up but hooked up the electric cord wrong. So then we didnt have an oven for a week cause it wouldnt work. Somebody came to fix it. They replaced the cord and took it right one on and that works great.

We know and we like Viking so we go Viking all the way. We have two stoves, one gas, one electric, a microwave, and a dishwasher. Theyre easy to use and everythings upfront. Everything else we buy these days, including a car, comes with a tutorial on DVDs and 48-page pamphlets just to introduce the other pamphlets. But Viking we just look at it and there it is. Our Viking refrigerator is only a few days old and so far its been fine compared to the other one, which was a disaster. Its very steady and has a door alarm. In case I get caught in a fugue like state I can always be reminded by the alarm. And everythings uniform in terms of refrigeration throughout the compartment, which we like. I also like that it has a barrier bar between in the back of the right hand door so when we’re closing it it really seals. The ice maker is good. We can turn it off if we dont want it and there are no issues about leaks and going into trays. It is very self-contained and efficient.The Viking dealer have very friendly folks. They told us about others brands, more for contrast. They didn’t try to sell us anything else. Once they saw we were going Viking they reinforced things and they were very efficient. There was a lot of communication. They called us back and forth. The driver with the appliance had called us three times telling about his route. They did exactly what they said they were going to do, price wise and in terms of the delivery date and the people who brought it in. The delivery folks were great. They spent over an hour leveling things and they did a great job. They were very careful and neat and one of the best deliveries weve had since we were here.The only thing that Id have to get used to is the bottom drawer which is a long drawer and gives good storage for the cold zone but theres nothing about that that we use right now. Although I could see for the future we might be loading different sorts of perishables in there. We have to open both doors to get that lower drawer open. Its not a problem it just culturally I hadnt been doing that. And should a friend ask me about Viking refrigeration I’d say, “If youre rich, get it.”

I wanted a classic gas stove and didnt want one with computers. The Viking range was simple and that was why I got it even though it was not as good as Wolf. But I had a question about the product because it was so hard to see one. I got the cheapest 30-inch range and the showrooms had none. I was told by a Ferguson person that there was two of this one and so she called and said, Oh, ones not supposed to be there, they have upgraded it. I called Vikings to find out what they changed because the price was lower. The rep was short with me and she wasnt the best customer service. Also, when I was buying it, I was told there was nobody to service it in Williamsburg. I told them that Port City does and so the rep called them and they go, Yeah, we work on them. They even put it down on my sales receipt. The day after I got it, I roasted a bunch of vegetables and there was moisture in between the glass on the oven door. It didnt go away for four days. I called Ferguson and they called Port City who sent a guy out. My stove has a middle burner thats oblong and its one of the lowest BTUs. This one wouldnt light like the other one. The repair guy said that it was the same as the round one but there were more holes and that was normal. The installers said they were gonna replace the glass thing in the middle. But its never done it again and now, Im worried and Im afraid to say, Dont fix it cause theyll say later, Oh, you wouldnt let us fix it. The moisture does dissipate eventually and I have faith in my repair guy that hell do it right cause Ive known him for years. But since the day I got the oven until now, I still dont have the part. Other than that, everything seems fine to me.

My dads a contractor and he liked using Vikings products. It has also been mine and my customers experiences that Viking takes action when somethings needed right away, and the quality of their appliances is usually a lot better. I like the heat and that when I boil something, its a lot quicker than my last range. Its really easy to work with them.

I paid a high price for this Viking VDB 301ss dishwasher which keeps leaking and the dishes dont dry like they should. Repairman is coming out for the third time. Im very unhappy and would never get another Viking product again!

This stove will outlast my house. Built like a tank, burners are amazing all the way from the slightest simmer flame to a multilevel scorcher. We have the grill and griddle. Grill makes some smoke but will dear steak just like your outdoor gas grill. Have enough power in a vented hood or you’ll need to remove batteries from smoke alarms. The griddle is thick steel and after one seasoning as recommended you’ll have a perfect nonstick surface smooth enough to cook eggs. Easy to clean with a paper towel. Only downside to this monster is its weight, which I guess only matters to the installers. You’ll never want it to leave and it’s the one thing a thief couldn’t carry out.

I like Viking products. It’s like residential/commercial use. We cook a lot and I like the burners on our range. They are very good burners. So far, the quality of our range good. The only thing I don’t like is that the oven don’t have a timer on it. I didn’t realize that it didn’t have a timer until we started using it.

The oven of the first range we got didnt work at all. We had a technician out but, unfortunately, it didn’t work so we had to order a new one. The company that we bought it from made it smooth but we had to wait two months. It was aggravating to get a new one but it was okay.

Purchasing a Viking range was the contractors decision, but we were asked if we were okay with that and to me its one of the best out there. The whole thing is awesome because right now in my other home, I have an electric range and theres no comparison. You can cook faster and you can turn it off and on and have the heat go away. We have the grill part in the middle of our range, which I havent used yet but I love that feature. Overall I havent used the range much yet since its our second home and we were only there over the holidays, but the little bit that I did, I loved it.

It took me almost a year for Viking to come back out with the right technician to fix the refrigeration and ice maker problems of their built-in refrigerator. I went through five different times and until to the point that I threatened them that they will get my lawyer to call and try to get a brand-new refrigerator. Finally, they came back out with a different technician to get it right.

Viking makes very good appliances. Haven't had any major issues with it. But their warranty is excellent. For some reason the door mechanism wears out and has to be replaced every 4 to 5 yrs. Service tech will replace it in about 30 minutes, no charges.

My wife chose our range. Its the smallest Viking one with four burners on it. I bought it online and I like the size of the burners. We’ve only had it about a month, but it seems to be good.

I’m not happy at all with the microwave and refrigerator. The refrigerator has caused us problems such as freezing things. I had the maintenance guy come out five times and we had to get extra parts, but it’s still not fixed. This has been going on since August when we moved in and it’s now the end of January. So we’ve been dealing with this for six months off and on. We would like a brand-new fridge but I don’t know if Viking is going to do it. There still the one-year warranty. The only thing I was really happy with is the stove. The oven has been okay but it doesn’t heat up very quickly.

I love my Viking range and it is a very high-end quality product. However, not the customer service at Viking. When I had a problem with the warranty and me registering my product, the issue wasnt quickly resolved. I had made several phone calls before I was able to make a date for someone to come out and look at the issue that I was having. I was being pushed around a little bit because I never registered my product. So, they said that they were gonna register it. I called back a week later and they hadnt done it. Its something that I could have done on my end, but they said that they were going to do it. I had to say, Whats going on? And then they finally worked it out. So, once registering the Viking was taken care of, I was okay with it. But the customer service wasnt the greatest at the time of getting my problems resolved.

When we bought the house, we requested for Viking appliances. We wanted to get the big 42-inch refrigerator but our realtor failed to tell us at the last minute that they ordered a 36-inch model instead. But even though its not the model I liked, I love its quality. The aesthetics, as far as the door hinges, doesn’t get in my way. It was well-thought out and well-engineered. I also like the option that the temperature is different in certain compartments. However, I dont like the freezer part. As far as the stovetop, we had a choice in that. We got the eight-burner stove and it is phenomenal. It also has a conventional oven built in. All in all, I like Vikings appliances because I can buy a certain model and it has options that come along with it.

We just moved, and we thought of buying a nice set of appliances when we remodeled our home. We bought an all-in-one fridge, a dishwasher, and a stove top range oven and hood from Viking. We also bought a Viking refrigerator back in 2012, and we didn’t have a good experience with that one. They had the drain set up, and we had issues with that the whole time we had it. They told us that it was just the way it was made. So, when we went with Viking again, they told us that their refrigerators are designed differently now, so we shouldn’t run into the same issues that we had. So, we went with a larger version of the same fridge.We also got an oven range, but it has a little issue with the way it was set up. So, I had the general manager from Main call me, and it sounded like he knew what the issue was. He said that it was something in the way it got set up, and they should be able to fix it. So, they’re coming to fix that. However, trying to find someone to come help with it is hard because there’s no one to service it in this area. But other than that, I’m happy with Viking.

Our refrigerator is very convenient, large, and has good quality. The only thing I dont like about it is that adjusting the temperature, which is two little controls up on the top, is not very clear and it doesnt read out the exact temperature, just has these little bars. So, it takes a lot of time to figure out how to use it, how to set it, and get it to the right temperatures. At the very bottom, it freezes up and the water gets into the drain in the back on the bottom and we once had to thaw it out ourselves. Another time, we had to call a repair person cause there was no way for us to do it. If only they have as many other refrigerators have where you set the temperature and it shows you what its set for and what its actually reading, and I would make sure that they have improved the heating unit that would prevent the drain in the freezer from freezing.

Since getting this very expensive refrigerator freezer we have had nothing but problems. Parts breaking, many service calls and repairs by a Viking certified company given to us by Viking. This refrigerator is only 6 years old but about a year after getting it we have had nothing but issues. We have someone coming on Monday to try to fix the current problem. They were out here 4 months ago. I am so frustrated and will never get another Viking refrigerator again.

We owned a Viking in our previous home, and we are familiar with appliances, so we wanted to have a Viking suite in our new kitchen. We were the happiest with the double oven in our previous place. We had a different model, and the convection ovens were great. So that was our starting appliance, and then we just said that we’ll go with Viking. We thought about Sub-Zero and Wolf but we decided to go with Viking again. We like the size and the look of the refrigerator. In terms performance, everything is fine for now. I’m happy with the way it’s performing. I like the feature that you can control temperature in different compartments in the refrigerator, and there’s ample space in the freezer. The whole suite is the reason that we wanted to incorporate the refrigerator as well. But I would go with a different dealer next time.

The Viking stovetop is a safe stove and the quality is good. I use it almost every day. However, after I’m done using it, the fans inside it turns on twice to get rid of the hot air. And then it makes noise for an hour or sometimes even longer. I just use the oven to bake a tiny bit of stuff but now I don’t want to use it often because I don’t like to hear that noise. The stove itself is good but that oven is a problem and it’s annoying. When it’s working, it’s okay. I stop it and it starts to have something wrong. I won’t recommend it.

Ive known Viking forever and I bought the range because of the brand. I like the look and the construction. Its quality is good. But when I bought it three years ago, the person I had spoken with wasnt very knowledgeable.

Viking Refrigerators came in with the house that we bought. My ref is the double-door open and I love that I can open both doors and see everything. Theres no division and I can put whatever I want in the refrigerator part. And I like the presence of it. I also have a Viking range and a Viking dishwasher and I love my range. However, Im very unhappy because the seal on my freezer drawer does not seal. I have someone who will be looking into it. Overall, Im cautiously optimistic with them.

I purchased the 3 Series Freestanding 30 Gas Range from Guler Appliances in Rockford, IL. Very shortly after beginning to use the stove the problems with it became very apparent. The fan began making grinding noises shortly after the oven reached temp and continued through the entire cool down process after the oven was turned off. The oven does not hold temperature and is regularly at least 60 degrees off, and after it preheats the heat continues to decrease. This makes it pretty hard to bake multiple batches of anything. The first batch overcooks and the second batch barely cooks. Its ridiculous.The convection oven does not cook evenly. The batch on the left side of the oven overcooks and the batch on the right side undercooks. The purpose of a convection is even cooking. When on any baking setting the bottom of the pan overcooks whatever is on there (cookies, scones, etc.) even when moved to the top rack. The burner knob on one of the burners is almost too tight to turn. It does not turn smoothly. The original repairmen came out and told me this was beyond them. Now Viking is taking their sweet time seeing if they can remedy the problem starting with a new motherboard. Great way to spend $4,500!

We purchased the DMOC in 2007 (no longer available). Beginning in 2009 the problems began. First, a fuse. Then the wiring circuit was bad, followed by the door switch which was faulty.. was repaired. Then replaced a fuse again (same one), and it quit again a week ago. We called the Viking Southwest President and spoke with him. Unsympathetic, unapologetic, he informed me that microwaves only have an anticipated lifespan of 6.5 to 7.5 years - the 10 that we have read about! He stated he would get the record of repairs from their authorized service company (whom we did use!) and he would get back us. No call back. We called again and left a message 4 days after our initial conversation. No call back. Today, a new convection microhood from the competition was installed!

We bought a house that had Viking range and I like its efficiency. The features are also top-of-the-line.

I’ve been in the restaurant business for so many years and Vikings name has been around. It’s quality product and all that good stuff. I’ve watched them over going to Best Buy and thought that one’s beautiful. My recent purchase was a single oven, microwave steam convection oven, all in one dishwasher, gas range and the refrigerator. So far so good but I kind of wish Viking offered a filtered water system through their refrigerators but they don’t. But it does make ice which is nice. I’d definitely recommend their product to a friend. But Viking is top of the line, top dollar. It’s not for the average consumer. I didn’t buy it to make my house value go up because what I’ve heard is all the high end kitchen equipment doesn’t really hold value because not everyone takes pleasure in that. But I wanted the best I can have and my choice was Viking.

I’ve had two other Viking kitchens and I like the quality and the look of the product. The cost is a little bit high. But I like having the broiler in the oven. It’s high temp so it’s easy to cook indoors when you can’t go outside to grill. The appliance dealer was very difficult to deal with. They provided no information as to the status where my stuff was. So I actually had to get Kevin Brown, the CEO of Viking involved. Everything’s here now but if I had I not gotten Kevin involved this could’ve gone on forever. The customer service of Viking and the inside sales manager did a fabulous job at pulling us out of the ditch. Viking itself handled themselves very well. And I would tell a friend to give Viking Ranges a shot. It’s a good product,

The Viking range is the best product. I like that it has 5 burners. Thats a lot of stovetop and cooking space in a 30-inch range. I purchased it unseen from a warehouse in Brooklyn, and it was fantastic. Id buy another one if I needed one next week.

When we bought the house, the Viking refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave were there. The issue that we have at the moment is that the refrigerator is not installed to the end. The water is not connected. For us, it’s very difficult to find a way to connect. When it’s installed the correct way, it’s great quality.

We’ve had a lot of Viking products in our time but never a refrigerator. So, I thought it was a good brand and we’d give it a shot. Also, I liked the way it looked. Ive had the refrigerator for a couple of months and Im very happy with its quality. I like the new LED lights and the French doors. The refrigerator is beautiful and it works well. Our previous refrigerator was a Sub-Zero, and Viking has more cubic feet of space than the Sub-Zero. The interactions with the Viking reps were fine. We bought it at Best Buy and had a helpful sales clerk there. We happen to hit a sale which also helped out. They provided delivery service and that was seamless. The guys carried the refrigerator in and placed it on the floor. They hooked up the icemaker, pushed it back in the hole, turned it on, and away they went.

We chose Viking because we just built a house and we wanted all the appliances to be the same. And we’ve made contact with an appliance company and they had a package with the three - the oven, dishwasher and refrigerator. The quality of the appliances is terrible. It was absolutely horrendous and we would never recommend, per our experience, Viking appliances again. We had three, now we have two Viking appliances, which caused an astronomical amount, and every one of the three appliances had defects and issues. We are superiorly disappointed in the quality of the appliances for the amount that they cost. The hinges are broken on our range. They had to replace the fan on our oven. The latch on the dishwasher is broken. The door was damaged. They had to replace the door on our dishwasher. I don’t know if that happened in shipping or not, on the dishwasher. But all three of our appliances have had issues.Our refrigerator was so bad that they had to take it out and replace it with a different brand completely. Our Viking fridge had a stainless finish and it looked like dimples on a golf ball on all the doors. They replaced them three different times, and every single time that they replaced them, it was the same exact thing. It’s definitely a defect in manufacturing. What happens is that they spray the foam insulation in there, and when it dries, it adheres to all over on the stainless steel backing and it sucks it in and it makes it look dimpled like a golf ball. They came out and replaced the doors three different times. They got the Viking representative involved and they said, “We’re gonna send you brand new ones from the factory.” When they came and installed them, those ones looked worse than the ones before. The appliance company felt so bad that they said, “We’re going to replace your Viking Refrigerator with a GE Café.” And that refrigerator is absolutely beautiful.

This house has a built-in Viking refrigerator and on the right is the all-freezer. The refrigerator is loud and the compressor was constantly running so the previous owner of this home had to have it replaced under warranty in 2016, which was only a year after he bought it. When we purchased the house in August 2017, and just before we closed escrow, he had to call Viking to get service because the temperature of the refrigerator was not keeping cold and there was a leak in the coil. The appliance is relatively new and that worries me but so far, the refrigerators been keeping cold so I’m thankful for that. But I am surprised at the compressor noise and we live in a development where the builder got Viking for all the units. I looked at several units when I was purchasing and I noticed the same noise in every kitchen because the floor plans are similar. It’s quite loud and it’s not infrequent. I even talked to the owner in one of the homes and she had changed out the Viking for a Wolf refrigerator. She said she did it because the Viking was so loud. Also, at first I was worried that there was a problem, but I looked at the freezer temperature and it’s constant at what it should be used. It just runs hard and it’s very sad to me because I’m going to end up having to replace it at some point. The refrigerators features are reasonable, but for that kind of investment, I would never buy one of this. I have an experience with a built-in Thermador and that has superior quality compared to this Viking.

I had a Viking refrigerator and it was a later model. The storage area wasn’t big. The refrigerator I have now that came with the house has more light and I like that I got more room with this one than the one I had before. I love my Viking refrigerator.

I have had my Dual Fuel Viking Range for almost 16 years. I love it. My only complaint is that the self clean function on the large side has never worked. I had it worked on several times in the beginning. If I had it to do over I would have forced the guy to make it right but we built our home and I had a million things to address. The self clean function of my range missed my radar screen. I tried it again the other day and shockingly, STILL doesnt work. :) But now I hear constant ticking. Any suggestions? I would love to stop the clicking and I wish someone had a suggestion for making this feature work. Thanks!

We wanted matching appliances but I didnt want a built-in refrigerator because it was too much money. Viking had the other type of refrigerator and that worked for us. The quality is good and we like it.

Ive known Viking from many years ago in the food service business. I wasn’t going with the Viking Refrigerator, but with the Viking cooktop. Both appliances came as a package deal and the sales pitch was one item would be free, so it was easier for me to do that. I would have never gone with Viking for my refrigeration purchase. I’ve been using the refrigerator for about a month now and it appears very sturdy and I feel its gonna last. It also appears to do a great job to have the room that I thought it did for its size. I also like the digital controls on top that tells me what’s going onPeople have to understand the options that come with their Viking Refrigerator, like the ice maker versus non-ice maker, down to if they have water filtration for access to waterspouts. Viking is really there when you’re looking at the quality. On the other hand, Viking is not sitting extremely well with me on the customer service side. I had the direct vent and it hasn’t worked since day one. After three months, they finally decided to replace it. I saved my money for a very long time for those items and they are the biggest expense Ive ever made on appliances. It was quite depressing knowing that Viking didn’t stand by some of their equipment. So, be cautious.

I like the look and size of my Viking Refrigerator. It works well in keeping my stuff cold. However, it leaks at the bottom and inside. Ive been with Viking back and forth numerous times. Theyve had three different service people come to my house and they dont know how to repair it. Im waiting to hear back from them because I want my refrigerator replaced. Its rusted, it has discoloration, and the inside parts, God only knows what they look like. My floor is warped and Ive had to stick Bounty paper towels under my refrigerator to absorb the water that pours out. Its been hellish and months upon months have gone by and Viking still has not addressed the issue. They have barely contacted me. Im highly dissatisfied with them.

I purchased a Viking refrigerator in 2006 and have had nothing but problems. Weve had thousands of dollars of repairs including replacement for several plastic pieces for over $750. In 30 years, Ive never replaced an interior part on a refrigerator. Viking said the interior pieces are only under warranty for 30 days. Relays have been replaced, the motherboard, and in October the compressor died and was still under warranty. The part was promised by Hadco and then rescinded. It took well over 3 months for the part to come into the dealer. Meanwhile, I had to buy a new refrigerator. I was supposed to go through Thanksgiving and Christmas without a working refrigerator. After the part was finally sent, they sent a customer satisfaction survey. Why they bother, I do not know. They have the worst product and service I have ever encountered. I will never buy another Viking product. Ive shared my experience with everyone I can to spare them my inconveniences.

We bought the new model of Viking Refrigerator that was a little less expensive than Subzero and got better reviews. We like it and my favorite is its lighting feature. Viking Refrigerator is okay but we’re not blown away. We noticed that the icemaker doesn’t know when to stop making ice, it just overflows. It does all right keeping things cold but sometimes it’s freezing something and sometimes it’s not. It’s just bizarre, it’s like some things in a certain area of the refrigerator tend to freeze. Almost not solid frozen but get close to frozen. It looks great though. Its aesthetically pleasing. I have a cheap refrigerator in Florida that performs the same. Nonetheless, the Viking dealer was great. We got all of our appliances through them. If someone would ask about Viking, Id tell them to do the research and really find out what products work the best. Viking is a good line but I think refrigerators are overrated.

I walked into the store looking for a Sunshine or Vikings traditional gas range. Ive heard of Viking but I didnt know about their products. Their sales reps were not really educated. They showed me the Viking range and were not too technical about it. But when I saw the Viking, I said Wow. Its like a restaurant style range and I loved the way it looked as well as the capacity inside. So, I got it. Its also marked up at a reasonable price and so far, I had a good experience using it at home. I love how it heats up everything so fast and the knobs are good to work with. But I get confused once I use the conventional or the bake. I dont know what the difference is or how it works. Im not chef type person and Ive been Googling that to try to figure out whats the difference between that and the regular bake. The grills are heavy duty, too, which is good. We got to be careful when we take them off and clean them so we dont hit the actual stove with them. My wife cleans them daily and she scratched the front on top of it on the shiny part. It was stainless steel and she said it was heavy so she dropped it.

This refrigerator was serviced within a year after purchasing it. The doors started becoming uneven. Two repair men had to remove the door and replace the pin. They do not have factory pins so the door is still slightly uneven and makes a weird sound when its opened. Fast forward to today and the freezer is warm, my food is thawed. I have had nothing but issues with my dishwasher that doesnt dry my dishes, 6 burner range, microwave needed a part. The self cleaning oven doesnt do a good job and the grease is still on the door window. I never imagined that spending top dollar for appliances would be such a headache and so costly. Please, if youre in the market for new appliances, DO NOT buy Viking!

We purchased the top of the line (so we thought) Viking double wall ovens for our re-model. They arrived with broken glass in the 2 doors. The oven was installed, without the doors, into the custom built cabinet based on the specs from the manufacturer. It didnt fit properly, no matter how hard we pushed on the approx. 400-lb. appliance. There was nothing in the way of it being pushed fully into the cabinet, and finally we realized that the oven itself was twisted a bit so that while the right top corner and bottom corners fit, the top left corner sits out about 1/2 to 3/4 inch. It looks hideous but we live with it because the company wouldnt respond to our concerns. We assume the unit was dropped somewhere before it reached us. Replacement doors finally came, one had broken glass again. New one came and it was installed. Then when I began using the top oven it burned the bottom and left the top undercooked. I thought it was me at first, since I may not have been used to this particular oven. Not me. Its the oven. If I use it, then I lower the temp. 50 degrees and hope for the best. I contacted the company from which we purchased it as well as Viking, but nothing was addressed to remedy the problems and, funny thing, our warranty expired. Then there is the issue of the self-cleaning function which I used maybe 4 or 5 times. I dont use it any more. I am worried, because of the extreme heat coming from the ovens and what I can feel on the wood around it, that it will catch fire. We heard that the self-cleaning is a problem with Viking. Anyway, we limp it along because we spent thousands on it and to replace it is an expense we cant assume right now, but I tell everyone how much I hate our Viking ovens and that they should never buy one. At a home show convention several years ago, the Viking reps were out trying to drum up interest. I told them of my experience and they took my name, etc. with the promise that theyd help me... Right, never happened. Lousy product, lousy customer service.

I have purchased 2 Viking wall ovens within the past 12 years, one at a discounted rate because my first purchase with them only lasted five years with many, many repairs in between. First of all their hinges on the door break very easily, the door to the oven is very heavy and can withstand constant use. Once the hinges break, the oven door cannot seal properly and therefore the oven will not run. The broiler coils burn out very fast. The oven cooks well over temperature, so you can trust the exact temperatures. The lettering on the wall peels off very quickly. I did not use any chemicals on it and I always used a soft rag with water to try and clean it. The stove top I purchased as well and that is also in bad shape. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!

We were doing a complete remodel of our kitchen, so I was looking at all the appliances for the kitchen. Ive done remodels of kitchens for five or six years and Ive always used Sub-Zero but we decided to try how Viking would work out. We liked the look, the overall aesthetics, and quality of it and the pricing was a big thing, too. There seemed to be a good overall package deal with the broad suite of Viking appliances. What we ended up doing was our entire kitchen is all Viking appliances. The refrigerator has been good so far. The lighting and design are good and I like the easy closing of drawers which is kind of nice. Also, the ability of not to have to do the cleaning of the vents and things was an important feature.

I was looking for a comparable model so I researched and saw that there were Jenn Air, Subzero, and Miele. I was looking for a certain look and dimension and I decided to go with Viking Refrigerators. I like the feature choice components. Plus, its quality seemed all right, but I was shocked that it didn’t have a filter installed for the water. Aside from the refrigerator, I also bought four other pieces of kitchen equipment and had a good experience with the dealer. Viking Refrigerators is very supportive and I would recommend them.

I liked the styling of the refrigerator. I bought it from a retailer. It just took a long time. But the quality is good.

We bought a complete set of appliances in 2014. After just four years of normal use, the water dispenser wont stop, the dishwasher display failed and the oven stopped working. When we called the authorized service technician, he charged me $264 just to tell me that some parts need to be replaced and all of them are not covered under the extended guarantee. Just to replace the control board of the oven will cost me more than $800. Also when called the customer service to get a clearer explanation about what is covered and what is not, the representative failed to explain where it says that the control board of the oven is excluded. We are very disappointed with Viking, we bought these appliances believing that they are better than less expensive brands but turns out that they lasted less than our previous appliances and the customer service is far worst. Sorry Viking, but this is not the way to keep your customers faithful to your brand.

Viking is reasonably priced and is a decent-looking commercial brand. I like my refrigerator. The quality is fantastic. I like the size of it. It’s big and bulky, and probably a waste of time and money but I like it. I also got a stove, a little 30- or 36-inch, the hood, the microwave, the dishwasher and then I have a wine cooler. But I wasn’t that happy with the people. They didnt take me seriously, first of all. I went and spent like $20,000 or so and then I spent more, and they were acting like idiots. They didnt know half of what was going on with what they were selling. They didnt sell anything, actually. If I hadnt known what I was gonna get, I wouldn’t have a clue. But I had done all my investigating ahead of time. I’m a contractor too so I’ve seen stuff. The delivery service was terrible as well. They dropped my fridge when they delivered it and if I hadnt been there that day, it wouldve rolled over. I thought people who would sell this material would be told they better put their heart into it and act like they know what theyre doing. But they didnt actually have that. So Viking is not being represented so well where I bought it from. That was not a Viking dealer that I went through though. It was just a store that sold their products. It wasn’t actually Pacific Sales or Snyder Diamond. The Pacific Sales store over in Burbank is very attentive. I just don’t like going so far but when I do go, theyre all over you.

The built-in microwave is just one year old (I moved-in in 12/2016) and the panel light is getting dimmer and dimmer. When I called Viking technical support they said the whole control board has to be replaced. And it is out of warranty. This microwave has been used less than once per day.

We were doing a remodel addition to an old family cabin and when it came to looking at appliances, Viking had the right size, the configurations that we wanted, and it checked on the boxes. Plus, weve had a Viking stove for a very long time. However, weve had major issues with the refrigerator. Were not in a remote area, but its not as highly populated so getting service people out has caused delays. Were actually on our third Viking refrigerator. The first one had been damaged in shipping, and the shipping caused some issues because of the supply chain. Then it sat in our garage because of construction delays. When they came to unbox and install it, it had major physical damage, so we didnt go any further. It took a while to get one, but they found it, and then we had nothing but problems with that second one. Alarms were going off all the time, it wasnt holding, its cold in either side, the ice maker wasnt working, it was horrible. Weve had to throw massive amounts of food away because we bought all new stuff for the cabin so its been a pain.They had somebody come out, did a couple of things, it worked for a day, and then we have more issues. They replaced all these different parts to it and this took us quite a long time because the service company doesnt do repair. Finally, they realized that they would never be able to get it worked so they ordered us another one and that one was delivered and installed and its worked really well, except for the ice maker.I understand the delays in getting attention placed on our case. Im usually a pretty calm person, but I had to get a little nasty with the sales rep because I didnt feel like she was helping. The holidays are coming. We needed refrigeration in our house. It was difficult so I had to put my foot down and demand a loaner. She ended up coming through with that and then she said that I would have to pay for it as well as the delivery and installation. I told her I wont. It was a back and forth show.Also, every step of the way, somebody made a commission off of this and so they needed to come to the table to help a little more. We felt like we got a fair price, buying two Viking items and get a set of cookware free, and we got a free microwave, so we wanted to make this work. Plus, we have wood paneling for the doors. If we were to switch and go with a different brand, which we wanted to do, it would have been a major additional cost to us. Well, Viking has been responsive. Its a $10,000 refrigerator and so they need to go through what they need to do to make sure its working right before they scrap the whole thing. It was just really frustrating while it was all happening.

Viking customer service, should be called customer LACK OF SERVICE. 30-40 minute hold times on phone, lack of knowledge of product parts. Viking has discontinued the part for an 8 year old dishwasher, and only resolve is to charge you for a new appliance, with less discount than I can get at big box store and a charge for installation. Do not use Chesterfield Appliance for Viking repairs. Overpriced and not knowledgeable about product.

I’ve had multiple problems with the range. It doesn’t go to temperature. It doesn’t cook food the way it should. It takes very long to heat up. The top of the stove is very difficult to clean. I would never buy it again. I had the rack inside my oven replaced. If youre going to pull it out, it has so much play and wiggle room. When you have food on it, it dips down because there is so much play. When I replaced it, they told me it would probably do it again and they were right. It did. So I am not truly a fan. It’s not worth the money you spent. Also, their customer service portion really needs to be a little bit better. But I do like how the top of the stove cooks. I like the output there. I also like the look of it.

Ive had my Viking range for about six weeks and I just started to get used to the noise of the fan. But so far, it cooks very well. I’ve always heard of Viking and a lot of places were pushing it. Their reps were excellent and they knew very well. They answered all my questions. They even said how much they love Viking and I’m going to love it. Then, because of my situation with the hood range recirculating, I was told it was better than Wolf and the one that I got is a much safer situation. I have the 3 Series so it’s different. It’s not like the 5 or the 7 and I love the 3 too. It’s just perfect for what I have on the top. It holds my pots nice and its a nice stove for my house. It was also much prettier looking and I liked it better instead of the red knob. I like its knobs versus my old type of stove which was electric. I also like that the Viking is very clear-cut simple. The range is of very good quality, very solid, stern and very powerful. When I used to fry stuff, I used to get oil everywhere. When I fry stuff on here, I’d barely see any oil. It means that the simmer is more professional than what I used to have. Plus, the cleanup is so easy.

We worked with a design studio on a kitchen project and Viking came recommended. We had purchased multiple products from them. We wanted to stay consistent with a line. And so, we bought an oven, a cooktop, a dishwasher, and a refrigerator. So far, the refrigerators quality is all right. However, the ice falls out sometimes behind the bottom shelf in the freezer. Other than that, I enjoy the style of it.

We bought a home with an Italian Fhiaba refrigerator. We had a lot of problems with it and we had to replace it. It cannot be repaired and we only had a certain amount of money that the manufacturer had given us to purchase another refrigerator. The Viking was on sale and thats why I purchased it. It was not my first choice though. The drawers for produce, meats and cheese storage bins are so cheap and I was shocked at the interior for a Viking product. I was sad to lose my Italian refrigerator which was well-made and had beautiful interiors. I would not have bought the Viking refrigerator but it was at the right price, so I ended up with it. But would I buy another one? Absolutely not. We purchased a completely renovated home, and all the appliances were Vikings. The six-burner gas stove and the microwave are all okay, and they work great. But I would not recommend the refrigerator. When I knew I had to replace my previous refrigerator, I went onto several websites to read reviews, and very few of them were good. But my husband wasnt going to spend more money because we bought a house with a $10,000 refrigerator that ended up not working after two years. Even the plastic inside of a Sears Kenmore refrigerator is better. Viking has these soft close drawers for cheese and veggies, which are awful. I have to treat them with kid gloves, because Im afraid theyre going to break on me at any given moment. The company that owns Viking make commercial grade refrigerators and U-Line is one of their products. Its an amazing refrigerator. Why dont they use some of the same materials? Viking has been synonymous with high-end quality. But they really fell short on this one. Looks good on the outside, poor quality on the inside.

I had seen some Viking refrigerators in friends’ houses and I like the aesthetic. I got my own Viking refrigerator and we got it from Abt in Chicago. While we had a run-in with Abt towards the end in regards to how they went about declaring undeclared costs, it has nothing to do with Viking. Still, the refrigerator is expensive so it better be good quality. My favorite feature is its capacity. We have a small issue with the icemaker but Viking had been quite responsive in getting somebody out to repair it. Overall, the Viking refrigerator has been great.

I was looking for a new range and I saw the Viking Range in the store and I really liked the look of it. We have known the owners of the store for a really long time and it was also the best brand that they sold. There are a couple of things that I was disappointed with like the front panel looked like it wasn’t finished correctly. It looked like it was almost rusty. But they ordered a new panel for that. And the first time I used it there was steam and something got in between the glass so they feel that the seal on the oven door wasn’t really correct and they ordered a new glass for the door. So we had a couple of issues but it’s my first experience with a gas range and I really like it so far. They are taking care of the issues so I’m pleased. Those things can happen to any range but I really like the gas burners. I really like the little LED lights underneath that shine over the knobs and I just really love the overall appearance of the whole thing. I love the grates -- they’re very heavy and heavy duty and quality looking. And I think the soft closing door is really nice.

A Viking range was in the house when I bought it and I haven’t had a good experience with it so far. It cooks well when it is working but I got a knob that broke off and I have to get a burner replaced. There’s a place of service in my area, but I haven’t had the chance to get it scheduled yet so the range hasn’t been fixed yet.

Aside from Vikings lower price point compared to Wolf, I chose them because of the look and its known quality. I also had a great experience with the Viking dealer. They were prompt to respond and they addressed any questions that I had. I just got the range connected and so far, Ive been happy with it. I like its consistent heating feature. I’d tell my friends Viking is a great appliance brand.

I have a 6 burner dual fuel in TX and a 30 gas Viking in Seattle. Love cooking on both! The temperature control on all burners is far superior to the Dacor we gave away. Even heat in the oven is great for baking.

I was a little intimidated by this range coming from my flat top electric. But, its easy to use. Its accurate, the oven heat up quickly. My only qualms are that there is no audible tone when the oven has preheated and there is no clock and/or timer. Its a beautiful piece of equipment though.

Outside of the range, all the Viking Products we have purchased, including build in microwave, built in oven, and dishwater failed numerous times and service has been horrible to say the least. Parts take months to get if you can get them at all and service reps pretty much just play guessing games on what to do. Do yourself a favor and go buy a GE or KitchenAid. Viking is all smoke and mirrors and not a high end brand they claim to be.
