I have bought what I thought my dream washer and would never need to buy another one. I told people about it and could have sold many of them. That was in my first year. Now I am into our second year with them and it quits. It cost right at 500.00 and when I called Sears, the company I bought it from, they charged me a service call and says it will be $585.00 to fix. I hate my new Maytag washer and wish I had never purchased it. There's no way to control the water level in it, and on sensor mode, the clothes are barely wet and rubbing against each other creating wear. Things come out with soap stains and twisted up so tight that I don't believe water got close enough to the dirt to carry it away. Don't waste your money.

Sheets do not get completely wet. We have to use heavy duty setting to get enough water over the clothes. The washing takes a very long time to try to get the clothes clean, but it never does the job correctly. The high efficiency is: not clean, long cycles, more water than a low efficiency. LG needs to rework the design.

I will never buy anything made by Maytag again. I just bought this washer 9 months ago and the sensor broke. The repairman said I have to pay $300 for the new part and it will take 3 weeks, then the repair told me many people have this same issue and he wanted to be honest that this always happens to these washers and my best bet is to buy new... I am so sad I saved for 4 months to buy a new washer and it was a bad decision. I have learned my lesson.

I've been a landlord since 1997 and have multiple sets of coin laundry machines. The older Whirlpool machines are great and have lasted 25-40+ years with almost no issues. Replaced a washer with this model 4 years ago and have multiple problems. I'm buying a used coin operated washer that's older than this model just to get rid of it. Cost of parts is almost half the cost of a new washer, and adding on labor and time makes no sense. Very happy to get rid of it. Electronics instead of mechanics has been the problem. Electronic switch that is activated with the coin slide broke, the main board fried, and the lid switch has caused problems

I bought a high capacity Maytag Bravos washing machine, thinking it would be better than the ones that shred your clothes around the center post. Wrong. You still have to wrap your clothes around the edges as if there were a post, and even then the machine will become unbalanced (after much thumping and crashing), causing it to stop, which forces you to redistribute the weight, sometimes several times in one load of wash! I called the company and got nowhere -- I won't say "nowhere fast" because it took forever to get nowhere. I do not recommend this machine.

WT4801CW - Only bought this washer four years ago and can echo others who say that cycles take a LONG time. Now am getting OE error constantly ~ have done troubleshooting and there does not appear to be any blockage in drains. Will try appliance repair but disappointed as I had cheap Frigidaire for 15+ years and no trouble... Will not buy LG again.
