We have a new side by side refrigerator. It is faulty from the manufacturer and Electrolux agreed to buy it back. Unfortunately the consumer has to do all the work. Including get a sticker off the inside of the unit. After multiple attempts the sticker tore in many pieces. When I called customer service they said pour vinegar on sticker for 5 minutes. I questioned how to do this on a refrigerator we are using. He hang up on me. Worst customer service I have ever had. We dont plan on buying Electrolux again.

I made the mistake of purchasing an Electrolux bottom freezer refrigerator
I made the mistake of purchasing an Electrolux bottom freezer refrigerator in 2010. It was not cheap ($3300.00) at the time. I liked the design. The ice maker has not worked since I purchased it. There is always something wrong. Two months ago the ice maker was not freezing ice. I contacted the warranty company and they said they would send someone out. Two weeks went by and I heard nothing. After cleaning up water I called the warranty company again and received a very nice lady (Pamela) and she sent someone different out. They came out and three weeks later put in a new part. That was last Friday. I still do not have ice. Phone calls (3) to Mr. Appliance have not been returned and the call to the warranty company was very abrupt. Latisha could have cared less.

36 Electrolux Icon Professional Series Counter Depth French Door - For a refrigerator that costs 3700.00 you would think it would last WELL. You would be WRONG. Not a good investment. I do not recommend this product at all. We have had the rubber seals go bad. Pieces of some plastic just brake off and now the repairman tells us that the ice maker just ate itself. We have no power to it at all, good thing we were home. The service guy said he has seen where they have caught fire. Again glad we were home. Customer service is NO HELP AT ALL. If it was broke we did it and not covered. We have our old fridge downstairs. It is 10 years old and was 800.00 and would put the Electrolux to SHAME. So please stay away from this product. You will be glad you did.

I purchased a brand new built-in style Electrolux refrigerator and it arrived dead. A repair company sent by Electrolux identified the problem being there was no refrigerant, he then told me that my compressor will fail most likely within a year because it was run for a short time without the refrigerant and contaminated. Electrolux is fine to deliver dead products to their customers and will only offer to do repairs - not replace the fridge for a new one. Unfortunately, my compressor may fail outside of the warranty period and despite this being part of the refrigerant problem I will be forced to pay. I will never buy Electrolux products ever again.

I purchased a top of the line French Door refrigerator 7 years ago and have had a number of issues. Bad seals, broken parts, ice maker freezing up and now I am told the fridge will fail soon due to the internal thermal parts. Apparently I have a model that had a KNOWN PROBLEM on these models and similar Frigidaire models from 2011 to 2017!!!! Yes ELECTROLUX KNEW, BUT DID THEY DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT, seems to be a NO. They supposedly did some sort of recall but NOTHING I EVER RECEIVED. It is NOT COVERED ON YOUR HOME INSURANCE WARRANTY, in fact they tell you to CALL ELECTROLUX. So I did and I was on HOLD for 65 minutes, no mention of any sort of call back which many companies now do. I Guess ELECTROLUX WANTS TO MAXIMISE PROFITS!!!!The lady I spoke to KNEW about this issue (Just as the TECHNICIAN that came out KNEW about this issue). She ended up giving me the number for the CORPORATE OFFICE to speak to a SHELBY so I called. Guess what? Its just a number for Electrolux, no Shelby. This is a $2400 refrigerator, it is a piece of junk and Electrolux seems to be worthless. I have one of their freezers too and guess what? It has had PROBLEMS, so ELECTROLUX YOU APPEAR TO SELL CHEAP PRODUCTS AND DONT STAND BY YOUR PRODUCTS.

I purchased an Electrolux refrigerator 6 years ago and have already had the ice maker serviced four times. The most recent estimate was $400 to replace a water valve and an ice maker repair kit. The ice maker is clearly poorly designed and extremely expensive to repair. I would not recommend this appliance and will not purchase Electrolux again.

Immediately call the Customer Service Line from the number on the package. They take all my info and tell me that they would send me a new one. But now 4 months have gone by and I still havent received it. So I call the same number today, only to be told that they dont handle these items or complaints, cant order me a new trim kit, and that I should go make to the retailer to have replaced.

I own an Electrolux ICON, high-end Counter Depth refrigerator. The Ice Maker has NEVER worked properly. The fan keeps making noise and freezing up, and the ice maker refuses to fill. Ive checked every possible problem it could be, from water pressure to filter replacement and more. Something as simple as an Ice Maker / Dispenser should just work. Theyve been making ice makers for refrigerators for a long time. Its not rocket science. And, why is Electrolux able to simply ignore this problem without making it right for the customer(s), thousands of them unhappy and likely never to purchase another one again, due to horrible customer service and company unwillingness to fix the problem.

I really wanted a super quiet dishwasher, which this is. Unfortunately, it needs to be reset frequently, doesnt clean well, sometimes decides not to use the dry cycle for no discernible reason. Remodeled a kitchen with all Electrolux appliances (cooktop, double oven, French door/ bottom freezer). Started having problems with the fridge shortly after purchase. After several repairs to the ice maker, the appliance store replaced the entire refrigerator. Continued to have probs with the ice maker = more repairs and thank goodness under warranty. We then moved to another state and brought that fridge with us (it had cost us > $3000). Bought the extended warranty because we had had so many problems with it (aka more money spent). Had to have further repairs done and the motherboard was replaced under the extended warranty.Remodeled our new kitchen with more Electrolux appliances minus a fridge. Over the past 5-6 years we have spent $15-20000 on Electrolux appliances. Wanted nice looking and (we thought) reliable, high quality and dependable apps for our $$$ spent. Have continued to have probs with the refrigerator ice maker - a very moody part/worked when it wanted to!!!Several days ago I took ice cream out of the freezer compartment and it was almost melted. Thought maybe I hadnt properly closed the door (although a signal should sound if this were so). I rearranged a few things in the freezer and made sure the door was solidly closed. No change. The temp gauges on the front panel were still registering 0* for the freezer and 37* for the fridge. A thermometer showed 10*/freezer and 45*/fridge and these numbers worsened over a couple hours. I was lucky enough to have some freezer and fridge space in an older refrigerator to store food products.Today the appliance repair guy told me that there was a freon leak in the ice machine and could be repaired for ~$1000. But being an honest guy he said the best thing to do was to take it out back and shoot it and forget about putting more money into it. The prob would probably happen again and again. We are going to purchase a new refrigerator- NOT ELECTROLUX- NOT EVER AGAIN!!!! The Electrolux Customer Service Dept was going to give us a greatdeal of 30% off of parts - ordered from them of course!! Thanks but no thanks. After spending so much money on Electrolux already I am angry. Does anyone know about any pending legal action against Electrolux? After reading reviews, I am certainly not an isolated case.

My refrigerator needed a gasket. I ordered it through Electrolux. It wasnt delivered properly in the box. The gasket was in worst condition as my existing gasket. The gasket was exposed and clearly had been in heat for hours. Electrolux would not replace the gasket after speaking to a supervisor. Whos to say that the product was not of quality when the distributor packaged it. The supervisor offered a 20% discount to purchase another gasket. Oh my... why would I do that? I have a dishwasher, countertop stove, microwave, double oven and of course the refrigerator... all Electrolux! They have truly lost a customer and I will share with others not to buy an Electrolux product!

When reading the following please keep in mind that all of it occurs from 1
When reading the following please keep in mind that all of it occurs from 1/13/16 through 1/3/17 - a period of less than 1 year. During this period, service technicians were at our house 13 times! In addition to that time, we also spent HUNDREDS of hours on the phone with Electrolux, Frigidaire and appliance repair companies. We purchased from Sears a Frigidaire standalone freezer. The freezer was less than 1 year old when problems started which didnt bode well for the future so we purchased a 3-year extended warranty from Electrolux which handles the warranties for Frigidaire. The freezer continually developed icicles inside the door, the drain continued to freeze and condensation had nowhere to go, so thick sheets of ice then formed and built up on the bottom of the freezer to the extent that the slide-out drawer was frozen solid and could not be utilized until the frost-free freezer was defrosted to release the drawer. This required that we find a place for all of the food that was in the freezer while it defrosted. At one point the freezer stopped (while we were out of town) and we came home to more than $1,000 of food loss and a smell that still is not completely gone. Of course, that loss was not covered by Electrolux or Frigidaire. The extended warranty covers replacement of the appliance as a lemon if a part fails at least 3 times AND a repair tech says it cant be fixed. Electrolux was able to string us along for more than a year because each time a tech came out for the SAME PROBLEM, they tried to fix it by replacing a different PART and the lemon protection only applies if the SAME PART fails 3 times. (Several parts were replaced 2 times.) So they kept replacing different parts to fix the same problem and none of it worked. The first repair company finally told Electrolux, they couldnt correct the problem and were not going to keep coming out, so Electrolux assigned another company to pursue the problem. That was equally unsuccessful so they tried a third repair company. That third company also told Electrolux the freezer was not able to be fixed. Most service calls required multiple visits because the tech would come out, decide what part needed to be replaced but NEVER had the part in their vehicle so they had to go back and the part had to be ordered requiring another visit for the same service call. The parts almost never came in when expected and the repair companies rarely called to say the parts were in - so we always had to do the follow-up. Several times a single service call required 3, 4 and once even 5 trips to our house because the tech needed a different part, or there were supposed to be 2 parts but the tech showed up with only one, etc. Each trip required us to be at home and therefore we had to arrange our schedules to accommodate the technician. And we had to be available for a minimum of 4 hours because they only give you a window during which a tech will arrive and it was not unusual that the tech was running behind and wouldnt make it during the 4 hour window. On one occasion, the appointment was supposed to be between 8:00 and 12:00 and the tech finally showed up at 7:30 pm - almost 12 hours after the start of the 4-hour window. We eventually contacted state agencies, which then contacted Electrolux/Frigidaire on our behalf. Electrolux made the following offer: For a delivery/removal charge of $150, they would replace the lemon freezer with the EXACT SAME MODEL and, OUR WARRANTY WAS NOT VALID FOR THE NEW FREEZER even though there were still 2 years on the warranty we had already purchased. WE WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER PRODUCT FROM SEARS. We will never purchase an Electrolux or Frigidaire appliance. Choose your appliance carefully!

We purchased a Frigidaire side by side less than 2 years ago. Yes, I understand it is out of warranty, but when it caught on fire this weekend at 10 at night, I called a repairman to come look at it. Our model is FFHS2611LB4. We were informed that the water line was not sealed correctly at the factory. Also, the access hole is directly over the relay overload. I spent over $200 for the repair which is not much considering what could have happened if we were not home. Just got off the phone with customer service and of course they will not do anything. Was offering to give us 1/2 off on parts. That doesnt really help when it has already been fixed. I will not buy this brand again. Faulty merchandise and poor customer relations.

Purchased Electrolux side x side refrigerator model EI26SS56GWO, s/n 4A82217631, new in 2008. Most expensive refrigerator I have ever purchased and the WORST! Issues: Motherboard just went out. Again! 3rd time in 5 years. 4 motherboards in 6 years if I choose to repair this again. Ice maker valve assembly has been replaced 4 times in 6 years. Freezer door handle cannot be secured, and thusly hangs loosely and sloppy. If my recollection is correct, I believe this unit was billed as the most quiet refrigerator ever when first released. Mine has had a loud hum since day one. Customer service, would be better served if called Customer non-service. The most uncaring do nothing customer service department I have ever encountered. BUYER BEWARE!!! I can provide more receipts when I locate them.

The main problem is the ice maker. The waterline frequently is clogged, necessitating service repair. The design of the ice receptacle is backwards, so every time you open the freezer, ice falls to the floor of the freezer, making you reach back to remove the ice from the floor of the freezer and the kitchen floor.

About 3.5 years ago we totally remodeled our kitchen. We purchased a double oven, warmer, stove top, and two dishwashers. One dishwasher needed a pump replaced after six months. After the warranty expired both dishwashers started to develop problems. They would not totally drain. I had both serviced at different times and the same problem continues. The service mechanic called customer service to see if there was a recall and was told no and that they werent aware of a major problem. When running they are very silent but are not worth the problems or repair costs. I would not repurchase an Electrolux product again. Strongly considering returning dishwashers to front of store where purchased, calling the news media to watch me take a hammer to the items to show my dissatisfaction, costly but very gratifying.

My 15 year old machine packed up just before Christmas. Given that my sons family of 5 were to stay with me for 2 weeks of the holidays, I decided to buy a new machine rather than have the old one fixed. Nowadays its difficult to check machines out in showrooms, so looking online, I ordered an Electrolux front loader from Home Depot. Free installation and theyd remove the old machine at no cost. Great. Id get it taken care of before the family arrived. The machine worked for the first couple of times, but after a few days, stopped spinning. By this time, Home Depot had washed their hands of me because it was beyond their 48 hour return policy. I contacted Electrolux to request either a new machine, or my money back. They insisted on sending out a technician, who, called the support department to be informed the office was closed for the holidays.I contacted Electrolux again who said theyd send out another technician. I explained that I didnt want a 2 week old machine repaired, I either wanted a new one or my money back. Of course, this wont happen and I have to have another technician review the machine. I have now been waiting for this to happen, and calls to the support department go unanswered. In the meantime, I am becoming very familiar with my local laundromat, and so far have spent at least $100 on using their machines. Now my family has left, I have 6 lots of bedding waiting to be laundered. I cannot believe Im in this situation. I dont know where to turn to next. I think I have been treated despicably and dont feel very good about it.

We redid our kitchen on 2012, installing a full suite of Electrolux products. The refrigerator was an odd size, so we spend a fair amount of money building cabinetry around it to make it fit. The refrigerator worked for about four and a half years and then needed the computer replaced. Since then, there have been three additional repairs needed, replacing the fan, heating coil and thermostat. The last repair was two months ago. We have spend approx. $1,200 on these repairs. The unit is now not working again. I called Electrolux to explain the situation and ask if they would be willing to assist us with the purchase of a new refrigerator, given the issues with this one. I really dont want a new one, but dont want to incur the cabinetry bills for another refrigerator as I dont know that I can find one of the same size. They said they were not willing to offer any assistance. Their products are expensive, dont last and they dont stand behind it. All good reasons to never buy any of their products.

After furnishing my home in Canada with all Electrolux products, I felt they were good quality and decided to do the same with my new home in the US. Bad choice!! The $4000 refrigerators ice maker went out almost immediately. The serviceman said this was a big problem with Electrolux. He repaired it, but its gone out several times since then. He said Electrolux has a kit they send out to fix the problem, but they didnt offer it to me. The refrigerator went out completely last month, and I lost $500 worth of food. I had to pay for the service call myself, as Electrolux says their warranty is only good for one year. Never mind that I have a long list of calls with complaints. Ice maker is not working again, and now the control panel is going out. This is the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned and I am very disappointed in Electrolux customer service department. Its just too bad and thats about it, other than I can spend more money on the piece of garbage and maybe then they will extend their warranty??????? The dishwasher was top of the line at the time I bought it too, and its just ok. I have to hand wash everything before putting it in or it wont come out clean. Nothing special about it. Why wasnt I offered the repair kit for a known problem while it was under warranty and I had the problems the kit was for? My service repair rep said they give it to some and not others. I have a high end Electrolux refrigerator that is only 5 years old. The ice maker rusted through the back of the refrigerator and a softball size lump of ice was sticking out of the rusted area. The repairman stated the refrigerator was not repairable, he notified Electrolux and stated Electrolux would make good on it. Electrolux offered a 20% rebate on my next Electrolux refrigerator purchase because of the age of my refrigerator. My refrigerator is 5 years old. A refrigerator life expectancy is 14-17 years, making the average 15.5 years. My refrigerator lasted less than 1/3 of the average expectancy and I expected Electrolux to give me 2/3 off my next purchase. They stated my refrigerator was past warranty. Well Electrolux, this was a KNOWN manufacturer’s defect and you allowed the warranty to expire without informing your consumers. I bought Electrolux because I believed you to be upfront and honest and to stand behind your product and most of all to do the right thing. I couldnt be more wrong. I will never buy from you again and that includes your Frigidaire brand and I will be sure to let everyone I know and even strangers that you do NOT stand behind your product and are deceptive by not disclosing manufacturer defects to consumers at every opportunity.

This is a letter I am sending to everyone and every review site and agency.
This is a letter I am sending to everyone and every review site and agency. We have discussed this with Lowes and Electrolux AT EVERY REPAIR ISSUE. We cant afford an appliance that has proved it will need repeated repair. We purchased a beautiful Electrolux EI28BS56IS stainless steel refrigerator from Lowes in Meridian Mississippi 11-30-10. We had a Sears Kenmore refrigerator that was approximately 16-19 years old. It was still working well but was stained and had cracks in the plastic where someone has dropped a heavy jar. While shopping at Lowes, we were mesmerized by the beauty and BRAND NAME of this refrigerator. My husband is retired Navy and lives on Social Security and I work part time since my cancer treatment. This was a luxury but we were planning on this lasting a long time, maybe for our lifetime. We moved it in, but kept the old refrigerator pushed against another wall to make it easy to transfer items after the new Electrolux cooled. Thank goodness we did that. We had trouble with the ice maker right away, but curiously, even though the new one was bigger than my old fridge, it would not hold everything that was in the old one. What? How is that possible? Oh well, it is a good time to clean out items. Now I have less but the shelves wont adjust to really be useful. You would have to take out a couple of shelves to fit in milk and soda. That leaves even less room. You have to sacrifice sometimes to get something else, right? But what have I gotten - a really expensive albeit pretty refrigerator that takes up more room but actually holds less. Why does the ice machine make that knocking sound but doesnt make ice?Purchased 11-30-10; First repair 12-15-10. I asked the repairman his opinion about the refrigerator - I wont quote him, but he mentioned he wouldnt take it if I gave it to him free. I was concerned, but what choice did I have? Keep my fingers crossed and pray. I came to despise that refrigerator. Every time I walked into my kitchen, there it was, sitting there like a big stainless steel lemon, reminding me it was a time bomb waiting to go off - reminding me of my mistake. Calls to Lowes and Electrolux too numerous to count. Next repair, 03-22-11. Next repair, 04-01-11. Although I believe there was at least one more visit from the repairman, I cant find documentation, so I wont count it.August 2013 - a strange but somehow familiar knocking sound is coming from the kitchen. I sense a sick feeling beginning in the pit of my stomach. My husband checks the ice maker - there are a couple of pieces of ice in the bin with some odd black color. Check the filter (we have also dealt with 2 cracked filters that caused water leaking onto the floor). Change filter just in case. Nope - still doesnt work, but I am getting used to the knocking noise. Call to Lowes service company- they cant find the record of our previous visits (surprised?), wait, hold on, and on, and on... I finally hung up while on hold and called Electrolux directly. I explained what I was dealing with (again), and they do have the record of all 3 previous repair visits, but since I purchased the warranty from Lowes, I need to call them back. Okay, thanks. Call back to Lowes Service Company. A Lowes manager at the local store told us to ask for an RA number from the service company (after 3 repairs, you can ask for replacement?). Rep at Lowes Service Company said we needed 2 more repairs under the extended warranty because the first 2 repairs were under manufacturers warranty and they DONT COUNT! WHAT? Dont count as what? They were repairs that were needed. That doesnt make any sense. By reading reports online about this model, the company knows the problems it has had. They have to know its not reliable. Are they just hoping I will give up? I dont have any money, but I do have lots and lots of time to send my review of Electrolux and Lowes and Lowes Service Company every day and tell everyone who will listen. When we remodeled our home, we purchased all appliances, hardware, lumber, bath fixtures, and remodeling items from Lowes. I am very disappointed in the way they are taking care of this. I am very disappointed in the brand Electrolux. Read more than just this review- check all the other unhappy customers. Electrolux should be ashamed for having their name on this POS (excuse my language). I can guarantee I will never knowingly purchase any item made by this company. I wish I could go somewhere besides Lowes but our town doesnt have a big choice. I will avoid Lowes wherever I can if they dont find a way to make this right. Since the refrigerator is still covered under the extended warranty that WE PURCHASED, Lowes has set up a service call for 18 days from now. My concern is what happens after our warranty runs out? We know, and they know, this appliance is a lemon or just a defective design since many of these dont work properly. Are they just hoping it will make it until the warranty has ended, and we are on our own? This doesnt seem like an honest way to do business. If you buy an Electrolux appliance, BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Purchased very expensive two door stainless steel fridge from Electrolux 4 years ago - both doors have just started going rusty. Electrolux have told us we have to pay for a technician to come to our house and then they will probably not do anything to help us as it is out of warranty. We paid over $2500 for this fridge - do not buy from them. They are most unhelpful and sell faulty products. Our washing machine also stopped working in first 3 months - but that was under warranty - so they repaired it - after lots of headaches!

Our Family purchased the Front Loading Washer and Dryer, just under five years ago. To be honest we were happy with the set for the first three or so years. Then we started to notice a Gas smell in our Laundry Room. We had our local gas company out a couple times to try to locate the problem. They could not trace the source? (We always were throwing a load in the washer or dryer, as we were leaving to run errands, work, or whatever). So we never could figure it out for the longest time. Come to find out, while the dryer was drying our clothes, Natural Gas was leaking not from the gas lines, connectors, or something that you would normally think! But from actually around the Drum while the clothes were drying. (Thank God we had good ventilation. Who knows what could have happened) After determining the source, we finally had a Electrolux Authorized Service Person to come out. Come to find out it is a $500 Part, that we have to order and then when it finally arrives, they can come back and pay additional fees to pull it out of the tight fitting Laundry Room Upstairs. At that point we were very upset with the Service Man, who then explained how Electrolux has become a company of ill reputation. To date the washer and dryer now sit in the middle of our garage floor, sacrificing our Indoor parking. We just went out and purchased a Brand New LG Front Loading Washer and Dryer Set. We had attempted to try to get some sort of arrangement made with Electrolux, but was met with the same stone walls everyone else here on this board seems to. Pay money, pay money, go away or do not pay anymore money, but go away. I am hoping that there some class action lawsuits filed and then and only then will they be forced to eat their praised product lines.

We've owned 3 over-range microwaves and this is our first one that is also Convection. We love it! Larger than our previous ones and much quieter! Lights illuminating our Range are fantastic! Much better than previous units. We like that the control buttons are on the bottom, much easier for shorter folks to see but they are a bit hard to press to get them to do what you want it to do. Maybe they'll soften up with use...we'll see. We do wish the Countdown Timer (which we use quite often) would beep until we shut it off when the set moments have completed. It beeps several times and that's it. If we're not around when it beeps and forget to look to see if the countdown is complete, what we have it set for could get overcooked. Minor problem though...we'll just buy a separate timer at Wallyworld or BB&B.

Not even a month later the dishwasher had to be repaired (circulatory pump) and then January 2019 the refrigerator broke down (blockage in the evaporator coils). After having two different repair man come I was told the unit cannot be fixed and I will need a new one. We are now March 8 and Im still waiting for the new refrigerator! Ive lost track of how many phone calls Ive made to the company and also several emails. This has been very frustrating.

Where to begin. We purchased all of our Electrolux appliances when we built our new home. Fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer. All Electrolux. We have had the induction stove in the past and loved it, so decided we would buy the same brand for all of our appliances. In the first few months of owning them we had problems with everything. The fridge ice maker gets clogged and leaks water. The microwave light stopped working and was replaced just barely under warranty. The new microwave control panel no longer lights up, therefore we cannot see what we are doing. It is now out of warranty and is apparently our problem. The dishwasher. Wow, what a disaster. It’s quiet and that’s about the only good thing going for it. It leaves the dishes wet no matter what cycle we put it on. We have replaced the control panel not once but twice under warranty and the one side still doesn’t work unless we bang really hard on it. It is now also out of warranty and they will not fix it. The washing machine detergent drawer doesn’t drain properly and always has water in it. The dryer is ok but the rubber gasket comes out all the time.We spent over $10,000 on our appliances. Appliances that are supposed to be “high end” but quite frankly, this company not only makes junk, they could care less about customer satisfaction or service. Being a business owner myself, I find this deplorable. I will never buy from Electrolux again and not even 3 years in to owning our appliances, we will be replacing both the dishwasher and the microwave as neither function to get their respective jobs done. Very disappointed. Save your money and buy another brand!

We purchased an above the stove Electrolux microwave/convection oven several years ago with the understanding that this was a good solid quality brand. We did not get an extended warranty. Almost immediately after the original warranty ended, it stopped heating. It was too costly to repair - we spent a couple hundred dollars on it and ended up just getting a new one. Same model but with the extended warranty. Glad we did, but after 4 service calls and it still doesnt turn on consistently, I will NEVER PURCHASE AN ELECTROLUX APPLIANCE AGAIN. BEWARE OF THIS BRAND. Im sick and tired of taking time off work for a service call and then within a couple of weeks it stops working again.

Electrolux single wall oven - Many problems in the eight years Ive had it.
Electrolux single wall oven - Many problems in the eight years Ive had it. Stains and runs in the glass door, the oven floor turned white where the heating element is but the worst problem is in the last two years with the self-clean mode. It either says the racks are still in, so the clean mode wont work, or it cleans and gets too hot and shuts the oven down so it will not heat up upon next use. This requires repairman to change the fan and replace some switch. This has happened four times. Repair guy says not to use the clean mode anymore. Im disabled and to clean it myself is not an option. Also it seems everything splatters so much that it will have to be cleaned. I was so happy with it at first, it was so out of my price range, but I always thought you get what you pay for, but not in this case. Also on my Electrolux side by side fridge had to have it repaired twice - a computer malfunction, four hundred once and three hundred another time. My over-the-stove microwave had the least problems, with only one service call for the push button door broke and it wouldnt close. Ive never had so many problems with one brand. Oh, and my Electrolux vacuum, well thats another nightmare.

We use the microwave perhaps every other day for 1 minute warming coffee. It died, circuit board death. $600 to remove and replace it! It is less than 5 years old with less than 50 hours of use. E-lux told me tough luck. I cannot recommend their product or service. Electroluxs product is poor.

Stay away from buying this brand. I purchased a Microwave/oven wall combination that I custom made my kitchen cabinets around. Literally after 2 uses, the interior blue coating started flaking off. After about 10 uses the whole bottom of the oven is completed raw. This makes cleaning the oven impossible as its now a very rough texture. After many calls and emails and complaints about the blue enamel flaking off and flying around the oven when operating, they stated there is nothing we can do because its a cosmetic issue. Electrolux told me to contact a appliance repairman which I did. After inspection he told me, There is absolutely nothing I can do with this. It cannot be recoated. Perfect!!!! Now what! I have a brand new oven that is ruined after 2 uses and there is nothing I can do. Buy any other brand but this one. Its a joke, and the only thing I can pray for is not getting cancer from the enamel landing on the food that is cooking in the oven. Dont buy ELECTROLUX, there should be a warning label on this brand.

We remodeled our kitchen and I wanted all of the appliances to have a high end look but at a reasonable price. We purchased the Electrolux ICON package of appliances... Double Ovens, Dishwasher, French Door Refrigerator with Freezer on the bottom. They look great but beware! These are the worst appliances weve ever owned. After 3 months of use I turned on the cleaning mode, following directions exactly, for the top oven of the double ovens. The glass door shattered during the cleaning process. It took 2 months to get a replacement door. However, now grease has splattered between the glass panels and you cant get them clean. The dishwasher is a worthless piece of junk. We literally have to wash the dishes before we load them. I should have gone back to ASKO. Weve had countless problems with the ice-maker on the refrigerator. Its broken more than it works. We will never purchase another Electrolux appliance, ever.

We purchased a new French door refrigerator with an external ice dispenser 4 years ago. The only problem is that the ice cubes have black circles on the bottom. Electrolux has been here every year since to fix/replace the tray in which the ice cubes are made, as apparently the metal from the tray attaches itself to the bottom of the ice cubes. I asked if they were possibly toxic and the reply was that this was not a known problem! They have offered me a 50% discount on a new refrigerator. Right. Like Im going to spend $2000 to get a working icemaker. What is most surprising is that they do not seem to care at all, and of course speaking to anyone who might be concerned is impossible. I have had two top of the line Electrolux appliances for four years, a nearly $3,000 stove, model ‪#‎VF02062872‬ and a very expensive French door refrigerator, model ‪#‎EW23BC70IS1‬. Both of these appliances have suffered with reoccurring problems of which Electrolux was apparently aware but unable to provide a permanent solution. The stove became totally inoperable after completing the self-cleaning function. Nothing works! The door is locked shut. The surface units dont work and I cant even use the clock or timer. This has happened 4 or 5 times already. The first two times this happened, it was under warranty and they did fix it. After that they wanted me to purchase an expensive service contract. Thats totally ridiculous to cover a recurring problem. The problem has continued to recur. Apparently the heat from the self-cleaning function destroys a computer board in the control panel. To date, it appears that Electrolux has been unable to solve this problem. When the same problem happens again and again with the same appliance it should be considered to be a lemon. The last time this happened it took them 6 weeks to get me the parts. After fighting with them for about 45 minutes this morning, they agreed to send me the parts for half price but wont cover the service. The ice maker in the refrigerator has been repaired or replaced several times. The water dispenser is not even designed to get the water cold. I thought I was buying quality products. One of the letters I received from them about the problems says, Please be assured that you have invested in one of the finest appliances manufactured in the world today. I bought these products because the company had a reputation for dependable performance and enduring quality. The products I have would indicate otherwise. In view of its service and the quality of the products weve purchased recently, I could not, in good faith, recommend Electrolux. The consequences were that the stove continues to be defective and will probably burn up again. What Order Number do you want below?

My wife and I bought a brand new home, with brand new Electrolux appliances
My wife and I bought a brand new home, with brand new Electrolux appliances 2 years ago. EVERY Electrolux appliance we bought has had major problems within the first 18 months, and continues to break. The following all happened within the first 18 months of owning the appliances, and with fairly light use. The microwave simply stopped working. The control panel went black and would not response. We paid nearly $1000 for parts and labor to fix it (as this happened just barely after the warranty expired). 6 months later, the same thing happened. No support or coverage, although the technician was quite insistent that he never sees problems with these appliances and that we buy an extended warranty from him, which we did not.The refrigerator door handle became very loose. $90 repair bill. Technician was again quite insistent that he never sees problems with these appliances and that we buy an extended warranty from him, which we did not. About a month later, the freezer drawer handle became very loose. $90 repair bill. The technician was quite insistent that we buy an extended warranty from him. We did not. The Oven stopped working. Simply no heat. Everything looked like it was working, but there would be no heat. $540 repair bill. The technician once again claimed that these appliances almost never have any issues, and was quite insistent that we buy an extended warranty from him. We did not. The dishwasher top rack continues to break loose from its rollers, requiring everything be removed, including unscrewing the brackets for the top rack, and remounting it. This is a very poor design, and seems to be a very common problem on this model. The stove top knobs have all broken loose, and the stove top ignition has stopped working several times. You may be thinking that we must really be rough on our appliances. No.. We barely use them. Our kids have moved away and it is just my wife and I. We are gentle with them, and try to be very careful, especially with what now seems to be extremely fragile workmanship. We have owned several homes and many, many kitchen appliances... We have never had any issues (even when all of our kids were at home and the appliances saw much greater use). Electrolux is without question the very worst. You may be asking why we dont replace them, instead of repairing them. Good question, and we probably will. Of course the cabinets were designed around these appliances, and they all match aesthetically, which is a big part of the reason.

Purchased Electrolux fridge model EI123BC361IS in 2010. Yesterday noticed not cooling. After troubleshooting it was determined light switch not functioning which resulted with bulbs (4) staying actively lit after doors closed. The bulbs super heated fridge causing internal temp to read 99 degrees. The heat from the bulbs melted a hole in internal plastic wall exposing styrofoam insulation. Partially melted another hole over another light. Lower bulbs turned sockets dark brown and also began to melt plastic there as well. Contacted customer service said machine not under warranty. No kidding, I told them not really interested in warranty, I wanted to let them know it poses a fire threat. Their response was to advise me to call a technician and examine it. I suggested to them they should send out a representative at their own expense and forwarded photos to them. Did not get the impression they really care and were not very helpful.

He did not do a great job last two times. He basically told me that he does not have time to do a charity job! I have been offered a goodwill warranty service but in Davids interpretation, it is a charity job for him. This is not the first time he made this comment, he said it before on his second visit, mentioning that I get the service for free and so I should spent some money to do rest of the job or do it by myself! So he walked off without testing the product. So the dishwasher still doesnt work. He was very abrupt, rude, not listening to me, and talked on top of me which was really depressing. This is unfair and breaching consumer laws and unfair business practices. People like him will destroy Goodwill of Electrolux.

Im on my 3rd replacement Electrolux refrigerator. This replacement is an Electrolux French Door refrigerator. It has been seen by two different Electrolux appointed certified repair shops. The problem is the interior casing is melting near the top 2 bulbs. Both repairmen from different repair shops said that they have been seeing this problem, and that some have heated to the point of serious damages. I was told by both Electrolux repairmen, that the problem was irreparable, and reported it as so to Electrolux. Electrolux disagreed with both repair shops. Electrolux continues to try to send a repair shop, to agree to do the repair their way. Electrolux continues to evade the big problem of fire, and continues to be inconsistent with its responses to me. Last week, they said it is absolutely irreparable, and this week, left a message on my machine, that denied the replacement, in lieu of some Epoxy to do a cosmetic repair. What about the high heat from the bulbs? What about the repair shops that deny this resolution? Is this a fire hazard or not? I still have warranty.

I am writing about Electrolux EW28BS85KS5 French Door Refrigerator. This refrigerator was a replacement for the Generation One that had the terrible problem with the ice maker and was subject of a Class Action Lawsuit. My was replaced before the Class Action even started. After many many stressful conversations with Electrolux, they made me buy an extended warranty after the fact and replaced my refrigerator with this is one. I have had this fridge now about 5 and a half years. This fridge started to have temperature problems in June of this year. The temperature of the freezer and also the fridge would go haywire. It would go up then down a bit, then up to high with the alarm sounding, then down again etc. This refrigerator also developed a rusty spot on the back of the fridge where the ice maker is. Now, the rusty spot has a thick ice on it on the outside.I ended up calling out the repair company listed on Electroluxs website. They told me that the defroster is broken and needs to be replaced ($400 for the par). They also informed me that the rusty spot with the ice forming on it cannot be fixed. There is no solution for that. They called Electrolux many times and it is not fixable. They told me that I am better off getting another refrigerator. This will leak in the back, damage my hardwood floor and also cause mold to grow. Of course, I contacted Electrolux and they are no help. Nothing can be done. They cannot and will not do anything for me. I am out of the initial investment of $4K.I am shopping for another fridge. Of course, I am not happy that I have to spend $$$ on a fridge when I only had the replacement fridge for a short period of time. In my opinion 5 and half years should not be the lifespan of a fridge. Of course, I am frustrated, wouldnt you be? I am contacting the AGs office again to file a complaint. If Electrolux had the willingness to stand behind their products, it would eliminate so many customer complaints. But, they do not care of good customer service and repeat business. Too bad for them.

I wish I read reviews on this website before I bought an Electrolux appliance. I bought their induction range for around $1700 last September for part of a kitchen upgrade. The range stopped working by started a beeping sound with error code 23 on 7/20/16. On 7/25, 5 days after I called, a technician came from a local repair shop called Ago Appliance Repair, he diagnosed the problem and gone in 5 minutes. Two weeks later, he showed up, replacing the generator, error code changed from 23 to 21. Three weeks later, not to mention with my endless calls with Ago and Electrolux customer service, the technician came back replacing the board, didnt fix the problem. Another three weeks later, the technician came back again replacing another board, did not fix the problem. Another two weeks passed, I have been calling almost every day because Ago keeps telling me they dont have any update but you are welcomed to call tomorrow. Im like an idiot sitting in the dark and wondering should I call or should I not because it doesnt matter, they wont give you any solution. The technician literally told me on all his four visits that replacing the whole unit is the only solution, and he said that Electrolux should grant that instead of wasting everyones time and money, he knew from his experience this is irreparable. I called Electrolux four times during the past 10 weeks, telling them what the technician said to me to replace a new unit, they denied and didnt offer any solution. This has been more than frustrating as if you dont know what to do and what to expect next. Id be really appreciated if anyone can provide any constructive suggestions.

Electrolux owns Frigidaire. We purchased a washer in March of 2015. 8 months later it was replaced with same model. Again 8 months later the washer needs replaced except this time I was informed that the model we had is no longer being manufactured. I asked for a refund or credit to choose something of our choice. Their response to me was that I either accept what they have to offer or case closed. What they had to offer was a machine nowhere close to an equivalent of the one we purchased. It was delivered in August of 2016 and replaced on November 7. We are now on our 4th washing machine in 18 months. We had a repairman out here on November 14 and November 30 for the same problems the previous machine was having. We now have had this piece of ??? for a month and all they want to do is send another repairman out. Instead of talking to the repairman directly they are wanting me to fill them in on the repairmans diagnosis. I insisted that they talk to them directly and wont do it. What is the point of having a repairman if they are not going to follow up with them. All I want is a refund of our money so we can go on and not have to deal with them anymore. This machine is Frigidaires top loader. It has a terrible vibrating sound. Also, the machine shuts off during a cycle and all the panel lights will flash. Another issue is the length of time it takes to wash – 60-90 minutes.

Our nightmare with our Electrolux appliances is similar to the others on this site. We purchased a fridge and had issues the first year. Husband bought the matching dishwasher before the first issue occurred with the fridge. After at least a dozen service calls between the two appliances and 2 different repair companies, Electrolux did replace the DW with the newer redesigned model. Well that was approx. 2 years ago and we are now on our 3rd issue with the new improved model. The first issue was in the first few months and a typical error code, parts replaced. We since went through a kitchen remodel last year and now the 3rd issue with this new improved DW - possible heating element out? DW doesnt seem hot and theres mold on spray arms, soap dispenser, and racks - smell is horrid. We were offered 50% off another DW after the last issue but I would never buy another Electrolux appliance. We did not buy the Electrolux matching cook top or double oven when we remodeled. The company we purchased from went out of business and the storeowner himself did the installation. When he carted our 20+ yr old Whirlpool DW away, he said it was a good model - just the baskets were old (we should have kept it)! The Electrolux manager who handled our replacement DW had verbally told me if this 2nd DW had ANY issue, they would refund the $ paid for our 1st DW. My mistake, I never got it in writing, so when the 2nd issue surfaced, I had no proof of the offer. The frustration, time spent sitting home waiting for the repair co., waiting for parts to be Fed Exd, nothing was worth the frustration and I could have written a book on my experience. I would never buy another Electrolux product.

This has been the worst product ever to purchase. I bought a Frigidaire Gallery Series refrigerator back in May of 2016 and had problems ever since. It was the refrigerator on top with two doors and a freezer at the bottom. Had I known that these appliances were only going to last 5 to 7 years tops, I would not have purchased such a flawed product. That is the life expectancy of these products and people dont usually know that. I have had 7 repair people come and take a look at it and they say it cant be fixed and not working at all. It wont get cold or make ice and it has been down for 6 weeks. So dont purchase this product.

What this to go with the Electrolux washer. Wanted stackable and large capacity. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase. It’s perfect for condo living. And accommodates comforters and king size blankets and bedspreads. It also has lots of features and at 5’1” I can still see and reach the control pad.

I purchased an expensive fridge from Electrolux. The ice maker never worked. The repair people came out countless times. Repair people told me the ice maker is unfixable. I paid for an extended warranty being told that I could get a replacement for my fridge if it broke down 3 times within the year. When the break downs continued, the repairman told me that they are not allowed to report the appliance irreparable & that they are obligated to continue to try to repair it even though that is not possible. Electrolux basically never has any intention of honoring a warranty with a new appliance. It is all a big scam to get you to pay more money & them not be on the hook for a bad product. Very disappointing from a supposed high end appliance company. The customer service there is a joke and will be so frustrating to deal with. You will want to throw your fridge out the window. They will lie to you point blank about multiple things. Too long of a list to name. FYI my fridge has been the subject of a class action because it has been proven this ice maker is bunk and does not work. But under the class action of course you get nothing -- like $100. Nothing compared to the aggravation or the cost of a new fridge.

We purchased an Electrolux dishwasher and refrigerator - upgrading our current appliances after a remodel. These are the first and last Electrolux items I will ever purchase. The dishwasher had continuous problems with leaking. I had numerous repair companies come out and try to repair the problem - until they told me that the only thing they could do was take the unit to their warehouse, put it up higher and see if they could possibly find the leak - no guarantee. Every technician told me that Electrolux brands are one of the worst to work on. So we got rid of the dishwasher and replaced with another brand. Now it is the refrigerator. I got an EF error code on my display and after unplugging and plugging back in the fridge as the customer service rep at Electrolux instructed me to do, the whole fridge and freezer stopped cooling. This is not the first time I have had to empty my entire fridge and freezer. If you are considering buying Electrolux, read some of the reviews on this thread. They are overpriced and poor quality appliances.

Almost from the beginning this refrigerator has had problems. The ice maker continues to be non functioning as well as the interior lights. Customer Service is good at one thing saying Im sorry. I have put more money into this appliance than any other I have purchased over the past 30+ years. I purchased a new switch hoping that would resolve the lights not working, however it looks as though the board is defective. In order to fix the ice maker and the circuit board, we are looking at approximately 1500.00.At this point, I am better off to purchase another refrigerator, obviously not this brand. You spend more money on quality products and this has been one time where this wasnt the case. If you look at all the reviews, Electrolux obviously needs to go back to the drawing board because consumers arent happy and the issues seem to be the same i.e. ice maker. This refrigerator is only about 6 years old and when you spend 3500 you expect it be in good working condition for many years to come.

In April of 2015 we purchased a new home from a builder. The builder had Electrolux appliances installed so we went with what they had not knowing what a nightmare that would be! The first visit from a repair company happened within 60 days of being in our home. They ended up removing the refrigerator and giving us a new one because the fridge had a bent frame! The second refrigerator is still in our home and I have had to call and have 2 more service calls. Now, we are dealing with an ice maker that isnt working properly so we have ice building up on the back wall of our refrigerator which pushes the drawers out of their slides. We are now waiting for parts that are on backorder so our repair can be done. No worries, I can keep chipping ice off of the back of my brand new fridge! When you call Electrolux for a repair you end up speaking to people who never give you the same information about how or when the service appointment will happen. Their customer service is a mess and the real joke is that they ask you when you are finished setting up another appointment if you would like to take a survey to tell them how they are doing! Ha! Electrolux products, service and service providers stink and as a company they should be ashamed of themselves for making such crap products and charging so much for them! Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for appliances. I mean really, how many days do you want to sit home from 8am-1pm or 1pm to 5pm waiting for repair work to be done? Lifes too short for that!

I’ve spoke with “managers” and wrote letters. Still nothing but frustration. Every time I call they find a reason why they can’t help me. Came with a 10 year warranty they won’t honor!! We purchased a new home from a builder and moved in January of 2015. The home had new stainless steel Electrolux kitchen appliances, including the 30 built-in microwave (EW30SO60QSA). The appliances came with a 1 year manufacturers warranty. Later that year we noticed the handle on the door was becoming unstable & loose. I called the 800 warranty number & a local repair technician came to repair the handle. After an hour or more of trying to find a way to access the handle screws he gave up and just ordered a new door. In a few days the new door was delivered & he installed it. I dont have exact dates because it was done under warranty & I didnt get a bill. Now the 2nd door has the same problem & cant be repaired. I paid a technician who tried to repair the handle & he couldnt. He said the only option is to pay $460 plus shipping & installation for a new door. I called the Electrolux customer service number to see if they could make some sort of allowance for the what seems to a product design defect. I was told by a supervisor that they dont acknowledge the problem & I should have bought the extended warranty for the microwave. So,I dont recommend Electrolux or their appliances.

Thank God we have one year manufacturers warranty and purchased additional four-year warranty from Lowes because this machine is a lemon. Problems started following amateurish installation by Lowes. It has only been in use for six months in a two-adult household. No demanding tasks; never overloaded or abused in any way. It is junk. Early on, it began to have failures of all kinds; excessive vibration and noise; six repair visits; one repair required the machine to be in the shop for five days while the inner drum, outer drum, bearing, and rollers were replaced. Sensors failed, door gasket failed, trim ring replaced, feet replaced. Repairman says that Electrolux and Lowes never replace appliances, no matter how needful. Cant wait to see what fails next.

Two stars is too high but Im past angry, just very dissatisfied with my Electrolux appliances. Ive had major problems with my dishwasher. Within several months and after numerous replacements of the control panel, I was already on my third dishwasher. Its working now but it does a questionable job of cleaning. Some of the dishes come out dirtier than they went it. My inexpensive GE did a better job and in ten years I never had a repair issue. The dishwasher now just sits there looking pretty as Im no longer using it. I love my induction range... when it works. At 23 months not one, but two control panels went out. Electolux agreed to cover parts which Im told would have been a couple thousand. I paid a few hundred for the service technician. Repairs took approximately six weeks. Before and after the replacement I find myself making frequent visits to the electric control box to flip the switch and wait while the range reboots. This is extra irritating when I think food prep is almost done only to find the range top or oven is not working. Between the dishwasher and range I estimate Ive had 18 service calls. Each one of them forcing me to take anywhere from two to four hours of uncompensated time away from work. Ive not had any major problems with the refrigerator except that its poorly designed. When you close the freezer drawer, ice slides over the back of the container preventing the drawer from closing. We keep a yardstick nearby to slide the ice out as the opening is too tight to reach our arms in. Guests have needlessly apologized for closing the drawer too hard. Please! The filters need frequent replacement and are expensive. Our salesperson made no mention of this foreseeable cost. And the darn alarm doesnt work when the drawer is open (because of ice thats slid where its not suppose to) and the ice cream is melting; but it goes off in the middle of the night, screaming for me to come turn it off, when all that happened is the electricity went out for a few seconds. The range hood works okay but its noticeably louder now than when we first installed it. Through all of this Electrolux has been more concerned with the performance of the contracted technicians than with the performance of their appliances. Im at an age where lots of friends are doing kitchen remodels. I tell them all, dont buy Electrolux. Spend your $7K+ elsewhere; And they are.

We have had our French door/freezer on the bottom refrigerator since January 2011. We started having issues with the ice maker. It stopped producing ice. We called the repair man. He came out, replaced a board and said that they were having issues with this particular fridge. Then, it still was not working. So he came out a third time and it still was not producing ice. He replaced valves. Now, we are noticing cracks developing in the ceiling near the back over the light. The plastic appears to be melting and opening up! I am worried it might cause a fire! In September of 2011 we purchased an Electrolux Wall Oven (EW30MC65JS1) as a part of a total kitchen rehab. This appliance also contains a microwave oven and is installed as a single unit: microwave above, convection oven below. Because of construction delays, the unit was not installed until summer of 2012 when it was put into residential service. Within months of the install, the microwave cooling fan would not stop running. Even after constantly cleaning the inside and leaving the door open for 30 min or more, the only way to stop the fan was to throw the breaker switch at the panel in the basement. Finally, after several weeks of this nonsense and a visit from a repairman, the microwave began to act normal. That is until April, 2014: the magnetron went, a $591.35 repair bill. I contacted Electrolux and they sent us a $99 debit card (!?). Yesterday evening I could not get the oven to turn off. About 4 hours after dinner, I went through the kitchen and noticed that the oven was still on. The control panel was showing only the time, nothing else. I turned the oven back on, then I turned it off and waited 30 min. The oven was still on pumping out heat as if it were still warming dinner. I threw the breaker switch at the panel downstairs. I waited overnight and threw the switch back this morning. The oven is now off and we do not intend to use it again. We have kept our designer current with all of the Electrolux problems and she has stopped advising clients to purchase Electrolux products. The unit cost about $3300 in 2011 and has cost at least another $750 to keep going. Given the dangerousness of the last problem with the oven not turning off Ill probably scrap it.

I purchased a $2700.00 Electrolux French Door refrigerator. The computer board broke weeks after the warranty expired. It cost almost $550.00 to repair. Next the icemaker and water dispenser stopped working about a year ago. Electrolux knew of the problem and made a kit to address the poor quality and design. After almost 6 months without ice, they finally provided the kit and paid for the repairs. Two weeks later the same problem. Electrolux poor design causes the water reservoir to freeze. The customer service representative offered to sell me another repair kit at a 20% discount. She stated that my warranty expired so they no longer have an obligation to stand by their product. I will never purchase another Frigidaire or Electrolux product again. Buyer beware. Customer service is a joke.

Love my Electrolux microwave. It is super quiet. We always have to check to make sure we started it. Looks great with the rest of our Electrolux appliances. Only thing it's missing is a shortcut feature for bacon. Just found out if you touch a number, it will start automatically without pressing start. Really easy to operate. The vent is quiet as well, unless you have it on high. Which is still quiet compared to others. It was a bit difficult to install when we removed our old GE Profile microwave. It definitely took more than 30 mins. More like 1 hour and a half. The space inside is huge. You can't go wrong with this one.

We purchased all new Electrolux appliances for our kitchen 2 1/2 years ago. Every appliance has been repaired since purchase, one replaced and two appliances are now on their 3rd or 4th repair (these are major repairs not minor). Electrolux has been making exceptions and paying for the repairs after hours spent documenting repeated problems and pleading with them to make good on their faulty products. Our range was rebuilt last week and tonight our dishwasher broke again, same computer panel as the last 3 times.I called Electrolux again, asked for assistance and they said Id have to call back tomorrow and speak with a supervisor, when I asked if a supervisor could please call me after they review our file they hung up on me... I purchased brand new Electrolux appliances for my kitchen exactly two years ago. Since that time I have had the double oven fixed once, the refrigerator fixed four times and then finally replaced, and most recently the microwave has gone out. It’s only been two years (almost to the day) and I have spent countless hours working with Electrolux and repair people on the phone and at home (missing work on several occasions). I now have to pay a trip charge to have the microwave looked at and will have to pay labor to fix it. In two years, these very expensive appliances should not have had such awful quality problems. We considered Frigidaire or GE (which, by the way, our friends went with and have had no problems at all), but went with Electrolux due to the perceived quality and excellent warranty - which in both cases are absolutely false. It’s been nothing but disappointment and frustration. Electrolux has not stood behind their appliances and they make it very difficult to get support. We have had the runaround on every occasion and a lack of accountability, or more importantly a lack of responsibility, to the consumer to ensure the appliances are repaired and taken care of in as painless of a process as possible. On one occasion the repair person went so far as to tell me that Electrolux quality is not what it used to be and how they are getting more and more calls regarding these appliances, so they too were a bit concerned that quality is no longer a priority at Electrolux. Lessons learned and the same mistake will not be made ever again. If Electrolux stepped up and took responsibility and accountability, it would go a long way; however, even the employees I have spoken to seem a bit disillusioned.

After buying a Sears top mount refrigerator several years ago, which was made by Electrolux, we had a service technician confirm that we are missing the connecting drain tube that would have routed the dripping defrost water from the freezer to the drain pan. Because the leaking only occurred sporadically, when the freezer was defrosting, it took us awhile to figure out the problem. The insurance company for Electrolux, (Sedgewick), wouldnt look at our claim, however, unless it was verified by a Sears service tech at a cost of $96.00. We are measuring 1-4 oz. of water daily that we are forced to collect in a cup, and empty daily, to avoid any further damage to our cabinets and baseboards. The replacement part is approximately $50.00 with at least 4x that amount in additional labor to attach it.This is unacceptable; that part should have already been attached when we bought the refrigerator. We are already out $96.00 for the service call that accomplished nothing. I specifically indicated to the repair center the part that we needed and this information was never passed on to the service tech. When we documented our complaints to Electrolux, a very unhelpful, and unfriendly Claims Representative made it clear that there was nothing they would do for us. We understood that because of the age of the refrigerator they wouldnt replace it, or pay to repair our damaged baseboards, but we had hoped they would at least reimburse the service call. Rather than spend any more money on this refrigerator we are going to replace it and never buy another Electrolux product.

July 2010 saw purchase of new refrigerator, Electrolux, who happens to be one of two major providers of appliances in this country. Received a one year warranty (as long as I was willing to pay for the authorized serviceman to come verify my claim of what was wrong with it because only the parts themselves were free). Eight months after owning it the door handle broke off upon opening it. Normal wear and tear with two adults and zero children. It was covered under warranty. Eight months after that the same thing happened with the door handle breaking off in my hand. No coverage as warranty expired. That takes us up to today, in 2016. FIVE YEARS and a couple months... How long should a consumer expect to be able to get use of an appliance such as a fridge? The one we replaced was 22 years old and still running, but I wanted energy efficient appliances. Bad decision! They sure dont make them solid like that anymore... At least not mine.So today, spring cleaning, I discovered that the left and right sides both are covered in little hairline cracks, all over the sides. Almost looks like what would happen if something got too hot then too cold or vice versa... I dont have any idea how this kind of fractures on the inside of the fridge could happen. Unless it is because of manufacturers defective product. Something about the material they used is just not up to par for what is needed in a fridge. Thats my first guess. But of course there is zero warranty and the phone rep would not even discuss possibilities of the company taking responsibility for defective products. I will be watching close though, to see if there is ever a recall on them. It wont be able to be used for very much longer. Five years on a fridge? Is that supposed to be the new standards we are going to be forced into dealing with from one of two of the major providers of appliances in the United States? I sure hope not. They are too expensive and really too heavy to replace every five years. Wow, will the land fills be filling up then, huh.

5 year old E23BC68JPS (ICON 36 Refrigerator) freezer door jam - From the time we purchased this refrigerator, the freezer door assembly has been problematic. First the gasket around the freezer was defective, which was covered under warranty. Now after 5 years of very moderate use (just my wife and I), the freezer door track has jammed. There is no service in the Monterey Bay area, and it will take up to 2 weeks to get someone out here from another area to look at it. We loved the design of the fridge when purchased, but after only 5 years, this should not have happened. It is a clear reason for the money that we should have stepped up to the Miele as all of the Miele appliances we have are substantially higher quality. We will not be purchasing another Electrolux appliance in our lifetime...

In the end, they admitted that they had no parts for the oven and would have to manufacture some. It would take at least a month. In late 2008 we purchased an Electrolux refrigerator, glass cooktop, double oven, microwave & dishwasher. We bought all the appliances in late October 2008 but did not receive them until late November. We had been promised them within a week & were concerned we would not get everything in time for Thanksgiving as we were having family stay with us for the holiday. In any case, the refrigerator was delivered & set up while we were still living at our old house. It arrived with a dent in it. A very noticeable dent. We were told it might be several weeks to get the replacement. Everything was top of the line so not in stock in the store. Under the circumstances, we elected to keep it. However, when they installed the water line for the ice maker, they did not remove the plug so the water poured out all over our wood floors until we came to the new house the following day & were met with the mess & flood. Within just a few months, the dishwasher had to be serviced. Again, not a good sign but sometimes things happen. Shortly thereafter, the blue digital display on the double ovens had some lights stop working & the display was messed up. I called, I was told a part would be sent & when we received it, to call back & a repairman would be dispatched. The part did not arrive when expected, another bad thing, I called after a few days, giving ample time & was told the part had not been sent but now would be for sure. About a month later I received a part. I called for service. No one showed up. A couple of weeks later, I called again. I was told AGAIN that the repairman would come. A couple of days later, I received a SECOND part. No repairman. EVER. Anyway, the digital blue displays on the glass stovetop soon followed suit & stopped working as well. Now I have to guess what temperature I am really cooking things at. The only appliance with the Electrolux name on it that has not had an issue so far is the microwave. I hate to even say it, as I probably just jinxed it. The refrigerator is now not working at all. It kept turning off & on, off & on. Then it popped up a CE error on the beautiful blue display that I was once so fond of. We have ordered a part & my husband is saying he will install it himself, again. The top oven of the double oven stopped keeping the correct temperature about a year ago. For example, I can set it for 350 degrees but in actuality, it may not even be 125 degrees. I feel so disgusted that I spent all my retirement money to have the kitchen of my dreams & instead got the kitchen of my nightmares. Compounding my deep disappointment is the fact that I know I can never afford to buy all new appliances again AND that since we bought all of these items at the same time, they will probably all start falling apart at the same time. I bought the hype, I believed I was buying quality & I regret it & will regret it forever. In my blind faith, I bought the kitchen I wanted because I knew I would never ever have such an opportunity again to furnish my kitchen with top of the line state of the art appliances. Refrigerators, microwaves, stovetops, double ovens & dishwashers should all last longer than 5 years. That is just my humble opinion but it is also my humble opinion that I will NEVER purchase another Electrolux anything. I spent a small fortune on Electrolux products to have ALL of them, except the microwave, have issues right off the bat & have a top quality refrigerator fail within 5 years. Kelly Ripa should be ashamed of herself for making money off this terrible product.

I have NEVER experienced such an awful product in my entire 37 years of marriage. I purchased my Electrolux 5 burner stove about 4 years ago and have had nothing but disappointment since. The grates on the top stove do NOT come clean. I have tried every product available on the market. Now my racks wont come out of the oven and the temperature doesnt get hot. For $2300 that I paid it is a definite rip off.

We purchased an Electrolux washer (and dryer) - our first Electrolux brand
We purchased an Electrolux washer (and dryer) - our first Electrolux brand of major appliance. We are normally careful to read reviews and check the brand out. All the reviews regarding the product features and benefits were strong. Never having had a problem with all laundry appliances we have purchased over the last 20 years or so, we failed to check the feedback on quality and service. Did check with friends and family with Electrolux laundry appliances - and they had performance concerns but did not have any service issues. Within the first 9 months, the washer developed a bottom leak (which I now see is a common problem). We are not high volume users, doing about 4 to 6 loads every month. Upon calling Electrolux, it seems that the authorized service agent in my area (the greater Boston area) can only come out 2 weeks from the day I called. Since this is the only way I can have my appliance repaired and the cost covered under the manufacturers warranty, I accepted the appointment. I think that it is reasonable to expect a problem free first year (or longer for an appliance that costs as much), as has been our experience over the last 20+ years. And, if it seems that this is a common issue, and likely a manufacturing defect. In my view, the manufacturer should stand behind their reputation and provide extended warranty coverage to address known manufacturing defects while fixing the issue in their design and production. If this were a car, I am quite sure there would be a recall to fix the problem at no cost to the owner. Fortunately, the damage caused by the water leaking is not major in our case. Nonetheless, it is not usable as it is for an extended period. So, families who may have the washer installed where there is potential for water leakage damage or who cannot function without a washer for a couple of weeks (or more), or who may not want to incur the additional maintenance costs - may wish to exclude this brand from their consideration.

We purchased our Electrolux French door refrigerator (model EW28BS85KS5) 2.5 years ago. Within days of delivery the freezer door would not stay closed, contacted Electrolux and the service company. They recommended twisted the door to get it to close and said it was repaired. Few days later door is back to opening on its own. Another company was sent out who fixed the door. All the plastic around the doors is cracking off now. Electrolux is sorry. Now both ice makers have stopped working. The top ice maker seemed to jam so my husband reached in to clear the ice and received a shock. I called and talked to Jennifer ** the Corporate Supervisor and she advised me only parts are covered. She understands how I feel but I will need to contact 1 of 2 authorized service centers for the repair of the ice makers. Very dissatisfied, Do not buy Electrolux products. My old refrigerator looked new compared to this one and it was 20 years old.

I was heating up food in the microwave and a spark started to flare in the corner where the metal rack was held up by the plastic hook. It was a good thing that I didnt walk away from the microwave or who knows how large the fire could have gotten. I called the customer care number and because I didnt buy the extended warranty, they could not help me but provide me repair numbers which I would have to pay for. I asked if this kind of thing happens a lot with their products but they said no. Has anyone out there experienced the same thing I have? My appliance model is EI30MH55GSA.I just feel they should cover something like this because its a quality assurance problem that could definitely have led to a bigger problem (house/electrical fire). Why would I pay to repair this microwave when my confidence in their product has definitely wavered? I would prefer to put my money in a different manufacturer and have peace of mind. I regret buying all of their different appliances because most of them have a problem (oven time display doesnt work and refrigerator ice dispenser spits and continue to serve ice after release). We were really excited to buy their products when we bought our house believing we would receive a high end product associated with their costs, but instead we are greatly disappointed with what it really is. Beware and be wise. Do not purchase Electrolux!!!

We purchased the dryer in June 2014 and from the first use, the towel setting never dried the towels in the time attributed to that setting - 40 minutes. We have had repairmen inspect the dryer on at least 2 occasions and have spoken directly with Electrolux, and have been told that the factory temperature is set correctly and that we should dry the towels 2x if the setting is not drying the towels. I explained this is a problem - if I put one towel in to dry or several, they never dry on the towel setting. Electrolux asked if I was stating that they are using false advertisement to sell their machines and I responded yes. They further indicated they were not going to change the temperature on the towel setting and reiterated that I should not use the towel setting and that I should find a setting that does dry the towels and that I should not use the towel setting.

COUNTER DEEP 3 DOOR WITH ICE IN DOOR - We have had this unit 4 years and had problems with the ice maker right away. This was repaired and works marginally but we have learned to live with it. Just recently in the freezer and ice unit we have had a rust issue. In the freezer the racks and the tracks are rusting and in the ice area a piece of metal in the unit is rusting and showing up in our ice. If you have this problem dont worry about any help from Electrolux. Even though this is the top of the line they WILL NOT be there for you. Even if this would have happened the first year there is no warranty coverage for this. So much for, You get what you pay for. We paid dearly and got sub par product.
