Ordered a new fridge freezer from Electrolux and expected delivery tomorrow
Ordered a new fridge freezer from Electrolux and expected delivery tomorrow. Unfortunately they have invoiced my supplier and lost my fridge so no new fridge freezer tomorrow! I telephoned Electrolux customer services... and waited... and waited... and waited. After over 10 minutes I decided too many people must be complaining about their dreadful service so I gave up, hung up and phoned my supplier to cancel. I have now ordered a fridge freezer from an alternative supplier... Electrolux? Never again!!

Subject: Your Kitchen and Laundry Equipment in Hotel Dar Al Ghufran Makkah. This is to bring to your kind attention that Dar Al Ghufran Hotel Makkah, is one of the 5 stars hotel in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. We have purchased the entire kitchen and Laundry equipment, required for one 5 star hotel use, from Electrolux, through your dealer in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Chbib Trading Co Ltd. The purchase amount was over five million riyals. Now the equipment are over a year in use and we have few machines, i.e., dishwasher, flat ironer, meat bone saw, went out of order and Chbib was called in for check or repair. It is with regret to state that your dealer has no spare parts available with them what so ever, in order to get the machines repaired. They had to place order for the same and we have to wait until they receive these parts and the waiting period is more than a month. And that too when the equipment under warranty? Now the dishwasher is o. Again and we dont know how long your designated agent will take to bring in the spare parts when the warranty period is already over. (One year).Again dish washing machine still is out of order from 20th December till now, only due to spare parts (Frequency Inverter part # OL2601- Model # WTM 140 ERB). After long time, your dealer received the parts and now last four days they are trying to fix, but they are facing some complications with new part installation / parameter, and dish washing machine still is out of service, and I requested to Chbib provide us alternative solution to run the operation. And we buy new meat bone saw of different brand because when saw was out of order (only motor was burnt out) and your dealer was taking long time to repair it, more than two month. What is the solution to get the fast service from your dealer and we want to direct dealing to your company to get the spare parts with in minimum period. Would you imagine this how we will run the operation? This time we feel so sorry for Electrolux Company that we purchased equipment from this company, never the less; we sure will have to think twice before buying any equipment from your company (Electrolux Brand) for our any future properties coming up, or even to recommend your brand to any future Hoteliers. We eagerly wait for your response, if this is the kind of service, after sales, your company and brand provide to your customers.Once again we express our regret to have been associated with your brand.

Bought a new dishwasher from Bartos Appliance in Metairie, Louisiana. Theyve been out to fix it over 5 times. The service company failed to report this to Electrolux and now the company thinks that Ive only had one repair done! So now Im stuck with faulty dishwasher and no satisfaction from either company.

We purchased an Electrolux French Door refrigerator, Dual In-Wall Oven, Overhead Microwave, and Dishwasher. The first to fail was the refrigerator, which could not make ice. Then the dual in-wall oven board failed, then the Microwave display, and finally the dishwasher which wouldnt clean dishes properly or dry them. The refrigerator ice maker failed twice more, the microwave a second time (we replaced it with GE), and the dishwasher wont clean and dry today despite using the highest clean and heated dry settings. Some of these were fixed under warranty, others under an extended warranty.I will never buy another Electrolux or Frigidaire product, and every friend, relative, neighbor, and coworker has heard my story. If Im in the appliance department of a store that carries Electrolux or Frigidaire, I watch for anyone seeming interested in the brand and warn them, urging them to look at reviews and complaints online. I will continue to do this anytime and anywhere I find anyone considering new appliances. Ive had good luck all my life with products and am typically a fairly positive person, but this was the most egregious experience. I guess Ive become a reverse evangelist for the brand.

My washing machine broke a few weeks ago and Electrolux sent the most unqualified electrician to repair it. Not only did he fail to repair anything but charged me 240 dollars and tried to get me to pay double the amount for a new washer. A very dishonest company! My refrigerator needed a gasket. I ordered it through Electrolux. It wasnt delivered properly in the box. The gasket was in worst condition as my existing gasket. The gasket was exposed and clearly had been in heat for hours. Electrolux would not replace the gasket after speaking to a supervisor. Whos to say that the product was not of quality when the distributor packaged it. The supervisor offered a 20% discount to purchase another gasket. Oh my... why would I do that? I have a dishwasher, countertop stove, microwave, double oven and of course the refrigerator... all Electrolux! They have truly lost a customer and I will share with others not to buy an Electrolux product!

I have a 4 year old double wall oven that I paid a little over $3000.00 for. Every time I use the self clean function, the oven door locks and then does not unlock at the end of the cleaning cycle. Their customer service rep told me to start the cleaning cycle and then immediately cancel it to see if that would get it unlocked. Nopes. They then told me to just call out the repairman on my dime.

Please steer away from this pricey fridge model-Electrolux Icon Model E23BC78ips. Since they delivered it had three doors replaced because of dents from manufacturing... I should had returned it since day one. Now the ice maker its not working and in the back of the fridge has is a big patch of corrosion (complete stainless steel fridge) at a cost of $3,699.96. When called customer service today, they told me that if I looked at the manual I would be aware that its not covered after a year. So basically its a disposable fridge with a high price tag with poor customer service...

The home builder said after three times they are supposed to replace the appliance and Electrolux does not want to do that. They only want to send someone out to fix again. Save your breath even if the warranty service is free and go buy a new unit from Lowes or Home Depot.

Purchased a matching refrigerator and freezer units with a trim kit for our newly built home. Prior to installing these units, both were plugged in to ensure they worked properly. The freezer did work without issue, however the refrigerator (after three services) still doesnt hold a temperature under 70 degrees. We asked for a replacement from the company we purchased it from (Jetson of Stuart Florida) and was told that the manufacture would not authorize a replacement because the unit could not be classified as unrepairable. Called the manufacture, and was told that they had no record of any service on the refrigerator. After the manufacture called the service department at Jetsons, and discovered no service call history was forwarded to the manufacture, all that could be done was another service call had to be set up. (Runaround, runaround). Of course a technician will get the unit to work for a few hours and again it will fail, and this merry-go-round will continue. I am out $2,000 and no working refrigerator. Buyer be aware, every seller of appliances must follow the manufacture replacement policies. Once you take delivery you are stuck.

Rang customer service and next Monday a repairman arrived who said the new machine could not be repaired. Our newly laid carpets were flooded and our insurer was there on the Saturday commencing the drying process. We sustained $2k damage and had to pay $500 excess. The Electrolux company refuses our request to cover the damages or even remove the machine from the laundry! They said they may refund the machine cost if we send them a bank statement to verify our identity. Next stop is ACCC. This treatment by Electrolux seems endemic from all the reviews.

I placed the complaint on your customer care number and your executive came to the house and visited the refrigerator. After that, he said there is gas related issue which can be solved easily, you just bear RS1100 for resolving out and I have paid RS500 cash in advance. He has given me a receipt also, but nothing can be done yet. The executive name was Umer from Kaisher Electronics, Laxmi Nagar. After that, I had raised once again the same issue to customer care but they did not respond to me properly so I request you to please look into this and resolve this matter at the earliest time. If the problem is not resolved within 48 hours, I will escalate the same and going forward to some legal step.

We purchased an Electrolux side by side refrig in 2010. Within that first year the icemaker stopped working continually. It happened so many times that we finally called the company. Electrolux knows their icemaker is faulty and they immediately replaced the entire refrigerator. After about a year, the icemaker on the 2nd refrig stopped functioning. It was still under warranty and the process of replacing the icemaker began. It went on for the 3 years. Now the warranty is up. This appliance was a replacement for the first one I had purchased that failed and I was lucky enough to have paid for an extended warranty. I was told that the freezer problem mine was experiencing was addressed in the newer model and was no longer an issue. Now, 5 years later, the same thing has happened again: leaking seals into the freezer from the fridge compartment, causing the ice to turn to blocks in the motor which continues to grind, extreme leaking and rust on the outside back of the fridge, and, as told to me by my repair person, the entire refrigerator will eventually fail due to the motor issue. In speaking to Electrolux, they do not stand behind this. My appliance is 5 years old (I would expect for this very expensive appliance to last at least 3 times as long) and I did not buy the expensive additional warranty, so they will do nothing for me except offer a 20% discount on yet another refrigerator of the same make. Why would I ever want this product from them again? I do not advise anyone to fall for their fancy chrome exterior (which of course does not wrap around to the back to provide rust proofing). I was told that they no longer sell this exact appliance because due to this major defect. This acknowledges that they did sell faulty products but choose not to be responsible to their unfortunate customers. In my experience they market as a high-end brand but the performance does not stand up to their reputation, and they do not stand behind what they are selling.

We bought a $3700 refrigerator for our new home, the ice makers kept breaking. I was told I would get a $500 rebate from Electrolux if I bought this model! At Northern Appliance in Braintree is where I was told this and it was on the card on the Refrigerator. I got a service contract for 4 years! Ice maker defects computers replaced. After the first refrigerator I had only 1 and 1/2 years the ice makers died, it was covered by the contract, this was top of the line. After Electrolux told me it was being replaced I called a company to take it away. They said they kept it for themselves. I got the replacement and it was a used or way less value Refrigerator. I called. They said that is what I get! If you can believe it 2 more defective refrigerators and a quote a few service calls from Apollo appliance Brockton Ma. They are very good! The one I have now the ice maker is still broken. I was told the motor is too close to the ice maker, melts it in the back and it breaks. This is unacceptable for an expensive refrigerator. Not sure what I should do if this one fails! Thanks you Jan

My preference is NO STAR, but thats not an option. I paid $263.95 for an extended warranty only to have the tech come out and tell me the unit (refrigerator) was built defective and would need to be replaced. I waited a couple of days and received an email letting me know I need to contact the delivery company and pay an additional $169 to have the defective product removed and deliver a new unit. Electrolux sells you junk and wants more money to replace it. I called the delivery company and they are telling me, your unit is here, but its on hold. I asked the person on the other end of the line, so now what? The response was, Call Electrolux to find out why its on hold.So I call and the person tells me he wants to contact the original customer service person I spoke to and figure out whats going on. He asked if I paid the $169 and I told him no. He confirmed my number and said he would call me back. 3 hours later no call, so I decide to call Electrolux back to see whats going on. I wait on hold for 15 minutes because of the heavy volume of calls. The customer service rep answers and I explain to her whats going on and her response is, they must have gone home for the day is why I never heard back. This is NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE! She tells me she needs my consent to release the product and I will pay on good faith once the replacement unit is delivered. I call back to the delivery company and tell them what I just did and now they are telling me, No, we do not take payment and I need to call Electrolux! I told her this doesnt make any sense and the woman said she will send Electrolux non-customer service department an email to figure out whats going on. I asked if I could at least get my name on their delivery schedule and she said no, as long as the product is on hold she cannot do that and here I am, SUPER FRUSTRATED and have no idea whats going to happen next. I will NEVER BUY from Electrolux again and will NEVER RECOMMEND them to anyone. I hope this gets out to as many people as possible and makes some kind of sense.

We bought the Electrolux refrigerator ew23cs70153 and also an oven and washer and dryer from PC Richards. Almost $8000-$10000 in product in 2010. They are around 3 1/2 years only. Like many I thought the design was European and sleek perfect for a modern kitchen. Kelly Ripa and marketing they sure spent a lot in!!! We will never buy Electrolux again! We began to have problems right away. LED screen letters some out on oven, round iron plates around burners got rusty on the stainless steel top of oven so had to toss, inside rack you cannot take out to clean the oven, when you push clean oven it blinks and sounds with a message saying take racks out and you hit the lever in the back does release it. No way to get it out. The decals on the front showing which way to turn the dials came off, when it comes on and ignites it makes a boom sound and feels like the oven is going to blow up. We are always worried and jump.I called Electrolux customer service and they sent multiple parts to replace however sometimes had to send up to 10 times for me to finally get the correct part. Very frustrating, I scheduled a repair guy to change the screen and parts. However to date things still are breaking and it was 2-3000 dollars in price. Then on the washer and dryer, the plate inside the dryer in the back from high heat turned black and if I dry any light clothes, it sticks to it and also black gets on the clothes in high heat mode, so I can only use the medium and low heat setting only. Its almost like it is so efficient they didnt think of the parts inside holding up. What a mess. Also the front door in plastic hasnt held up nice and and has gotten cloudy so had to call Electrolux to receive new doors. The overall outside of the unit hasnt held up nice either and we bought in white. And the latest frustration is the refrigerator. When we first bought it the first month the LED screen had one of the letters that went out and when this happens you have to replace the entire screen. Also the regular refrigerator side kept freezing up. The outside easily dings especially the sides of the unit. Electrolux sent us a brand new refrigerator 6 months after we bought the original one. However it didnt stop there. During a storm the power went out and the motor blew so we had to have repair guy come out again to replace motor. We put a surge protector on after that. The latest and last straw is the water line keeps freezing up in the door so we have to keep shutting it off to defrost and then it freezes up again. I cant use the filter water at all!!!! Come to find out after reading reviews many are having this same problem. So I called Electrolux to see if they would send a new door or do anything. They said since it is out of the year and 2 year warranty they cant do anything and they can send a door out for 400 dollars. We just cant believe itI just cant believe they wont do anything when this is a known problem with their design. I asked to speak to anyone higher up and they said there is no one to speak to. We have hit a brick wall. My husband and I just cant believe they would lose a customer over this. I never blog or do reviews but these Electrolux products have been a living hell for how much they are worth! Quality and durability not worth the high price. And the hours I have spent on repairs and calling customer service has to be over 40-50 hours by now. Im 7 months pregnant and we have to buy bottled water because we can use the refrigerator water. So now we have the hose taken out of the unit to use the water, see attached pic.

NEVER BUY ELECTROLUX!!! First know that I have previously purchased other products. GE that have lasted 2.5 times longer, no repairs and still running!! I decided to buy two higher END APPLIANCES thinking they would serve us well and add value to our home. WRONG! My refrigerator ice maker never worked properly. Finally I had it checked and repaired for about $600.00. Not many people service these products. Now the dishwasher broke! I called for assistance and they could not help me fix it (I removed the cover directed) then I said I will not pay for this to be fixed. They offered 50% off of parts to repair. I am in business. Parts are marked up at least 3 to 5 times the cost. So they are still making money. I said, fine, as long as I do not pay for service. They replied, cant help you there. Well, how insulting so I could be on the hook for a $300-$600 service call plus 50% of parts! I said, I am fair lets do this, Ill pay for the first $100 in service and 50% of parts. That is fair. If this product wasnt a bad product major repairs would not be necessary. So they could have used the money they would have made on the parts to pay for the balance of the service call. Please note we are a small household. Mother, Grandmother and daughter. These products are not overused or abused! NEVER BUY ELECTROLUX...ITS A WASTE OF MONEY!! IT WILL NOT LAST! THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS! When I moved into my home in 2015, I bought a suite of Electrolux appliances: french door refrigerator, dishwasher, range. The refrigerator is so poorly designed that I had it serviced 5 times in the first year for faulty icemaker in the main part of the refrigerator. Every time you opened the door, it warmed up and the ice thawed a bit and froze solid. 5 years later, the compressor died, and I have a pile of junk. The range oven doesnt heat properly, the dishwasher stinks inside, all the appliances came with heatshrunk plastic on all the surfaces that stripped the finish off when you removed it, the doors of each appliances had dents. I am disgusted with the lot, and have no recourse but to continue using them until I can afford to replace them. I am so sorry I wasted my money and my confidence in what I thought was a good brand. I have NEVER experienced such an awful product in my entire 37 years of marriage. I purchased my Electrolux 5 burner stove about 4 years ago and have had nothing but disappointment since. The grates on the top stove do NOT come clean. I have tried every product available on the market. Now my racks wont come out of the oven and the temperature doesnt get hot. For $2300 that I paid it is a definite rip off.

We purchased the ICON Electrolux kitchen suite for our new home. From the outside, the appliances are beautiful and appear to be built with quality. However, this was not the case at all. Of the five appliances in our kitchen (refrigerator, dishwasher, wall oven, 6-burner stove and microwave), four of them have issues. They are less than two years old and have too many problems for this to be a top tier appliance. Refrigerator has dents on front panels from the stainless steel overlay attachment seen when you stand at a distance. The freezer drawer does not shut level. Reported this when we first moved in. Company came out and said there was nothing they could do to fix this. They blamed it on the leveling of the kitchen floor. Not so because quality of home build we have no complaints. The wire drawer in freezer pulls out crooked and often comes off track. The ice maker takes too long to make ice and makes a very loud noise when ice is dispensed from the door. The dishwasher panel lights flicker on and off. We have to hit the panel to make them stop flickering. The time clock that reflects on the floor in the kitchen stopped working about 5-6 months after we moved in and I called them to fix it and they said it was not covered because that was cosmetic. Also, the inside rubber seal has come off several times. We have to push it back into the grooves. The gas stove does not light with the starters. I have to turn on two burners. So the fire from the other burner lights the gas from the burner that will not light. The oven cooks noticeably uneven. We have to rotate our pans in the oven for the food to cook even. I may be forgetting a couple of things. But these are too many issues to have with top of the line appliances. I called customer service several times to have issues addressed. Unfortunately, we only had a one year manufacturer warranty and when you are moving into a new house with a very busy life this time flies by and then you are stuck with covering issues with an expensive extended warranty that may not even cover all the issues. Very frustrating!! I have purchased a used basic Kenmore washer and dryer for $300 and it lasted 15 years without one issue. Electrolux is a waste of money.

Model EIFLW50LIW front load washer. Purchased June 2014. Had required (certified Electrolux) repairman (due to warranty) out several times within the first 12 months. The harness kept shaking loose and tumbler would go off balance and belt popped off. I had to wait a week or two for them to come out and then had to take off from work each time while they fixed it. The last time, they literally had all the parts on my kitchen floor and I asked them why Electrolux just did not send a new machine from the factory. Wasted 5 hours of my day, two repairmen 5 hours and I had to wait for them to come 10 days which meant going over to my mother-in-laws to do laundry. Now 12 months later the belt popped off again but I noticed that the washer was leaking. It revealed severe rubbing on the plastic which was worn through. This unit never made any rubbing noise, clanking and was not out of balance like the issue previously. I called Electrolux and told them that their certified repairmen obviously did something wrong and now it leaks and the harness shakes loose. All they could do for me is give me a break on parts. If your front load washer has belt or harness issues, demand a new one. Repairmen can make Band-Aid fixes only to a poorly manufactured item.

We've owned 3 over-range microwaves and this is our first one that is also Convection. We love it! Larger than our previous ones and much quieter! Lights illuminating our Range are fantastic! Much better than previous units. We like that the control buttons are on the bottom, much easier for shorter folks to see but they are a bit hard to press to get them to do what you want it to do. Maybe they'll soften up with use...we'll see. We do wish the Countdown Timer (which we use quite often) would beep until we shut it off when the set moments have completed. It beeps several times and that's it. If we're not around when it beeps and forget to look to see if the countdown is complete, what we have it set for could get overcooked. Minor problem though...we'll just buy a separate timer at Wallyworld or BB&B.

French door refrigerator - This has been the worst appliance ever created.
French door refrigerator - This has been the worst appliance ever created. We purchased in the late Fall of 2011. Very soon the plastic grey trim popped off the freezer door for no reason. Just two adults live here so no wear and tear. Not happy about it but taped it on until finally giving up on tape holding. Customer services response was lame and we were not willing to pay for their ridiculous fix so I would have to live with this aesthetic. Then we began having issue after issue with the ice maker. Grinding noise, not making ice or it all freezing together -- on and on and it never got fixed. Repairman has been out 3 times in past 2 months. He was back yesterday and we pulled the fridge from the wall and we were horrified. The back had a big block of ice protruding. It had sweated and rusted out the entire back panel. The insulation was shot. This is nothing more than a boat anchor now. We paid a lot of $ for an appliance that didnt even last 6 years and weve hated it since about a month after purchasing. We have lawyers in the family and were planning on initiating a class action suit. I would use an Igloo cooler before I would ever consider an Electrolux refrigerator or anything! They dont stand by their product and they shouldnt be allowed to get away with these continued issues. The fridge should be banned from further production and the company should close its door if they cannot remediate the problems and compensate customers for these losses. We now have to buy a new fridge after spending approx $4000 less than 6 years ago.

Purchased Electrolux washer/dryer from Home Depot late 2017 (product received in Nov. 2017). Issues started soon after purchase with the dryer, it was clogging with lint in the blower motor. Not even sure how this was happening, since these are lint making machines. Service came out and had no options on how to prevent this from occurring. Again other than to contact servicing and have them clean it out. Basically they take the machine apart to do this, not a job for ordinary folk. After speaking with Electrolux, and informing them of this continuing issue. Their response is to continue calling for warranty/servicing. The big question was what if this issue persists beyond the one year manufacturing warranty, Electrolux response... “purchase extended warranty”. Are you kidding me!!! That’s when I contacted Home Depot head office. Their response to this issue was much of the same. I can’t believe either one of these entities could live up to their product (Electrolux) or service (Home Depot). This issue should resolved by a replacement or a full refund.Things to keep in mind, these service requests take up time during working hours cause warranty company doesn’t work after hours or weekends. So we have to take time off work each and every time a service is requested. Other option is to cut my losses and dump these machine and buy new ones. Even after a year of ownership. Extremely disappointed with both Electrolux and Home Depot Canada.

Stay away from buying this brand. I purchased a Microwave/oven wall combination that I custom made my kitchen cabinets around. Literally after 2 uses, the interior blue coating started flaking off. After about 10 uses the whole bottom of the oven is completed raw. This makes cleaning the oven impossible as its now a very rough texture. After many calls and emails and complaints about the blue enamel flaking off and flying around the oven when operating, they stated there is nothing we can do because its a cosmetic issue. Electrolux told me to contact a appliance repairman which I did. After inspection he told me, There is absolutely nothing I can do with this. It cannot be recoated. Perfect!!!! Now what! I have a brand new oven that is ruined after 2 uses and there is nothing I can do. Buy any other brand but this one. Its a joke, and the only thing I can pray for is not getting cancer from the enamel landing on the food that is cooking in the oven. Dont buy ELECTROLUX, there should be a warning label on this brand.

We bought an Electrolux gas stove less than 3 years ago. In less than two years, the enamel on the inside of the oven was flaking off where the racks go. These racks are on gliders so if you are cleaning the oven, its pretty much the only time the whole rack gets moved in and out. In other words, the rack stays in place but the shelf itself can glide in and out to remove food. I noticed 3 spots chipped off about 8 months ago after I cleaned the oven and was putting the racks back in. I wrote to Electrolux and sent pictures to them. They sent me back an email saying they had a technician look at the pictures and he determined this was normal wear and tear. So I sent them a reply stating that my last two stoves were over 20 years old, the racks were in and out of those stoves many times and all the enamel was still in place when I got rid of the stoves. This was a manufacturer defect and I would like this fixed. The liaison from the CEO then called me and told me the same thing that their reply email stated and again I told her about my last two stoves never having this problem. She then offered me 60% rebate to buy another Electrolux stove because they cant replace the inside of the stove. I told her, No, I want all my money back so I can go and buy a stove that will last. I had read online many people were dissatisfied with their stoves for the very same reason I was complaining. Also the front right burner doesnt light right away, another complaint from others. When it finally decides to light you get a loud fffumm and a huge flame shoots out of the burner. Now, the other day I cleaned my stove and the next morning I opened the oven to wipe the ash out and in the bottom of the oven the ash was rust colored. I thought that was weird but figured it was the grease that had spilled over before I cleaned it, but once I started wiping it out, I noticed the bottom of the oven is actually rusted and pitted all over. This is not normal. As I see it, the enamel is breaking off when the oven is cleaned. The front of the stove where the knobs for the burners, where it tells which burner is for each knob is all worn off. This is a very expensive appliance with shoddy workmanship! Now Electrolux is telling me they will give me 50% back to buy another one of their stoves. I would never spend that kind of money, and this was the most expensive stove in any of the places we looked. I thought I was paying for a good brand, a long time name in the appliance business and would stand by their product. I will never purchase another Electrolux product again.

I recovered and decided to not proceed with the claim. I bought it from Home Depot and that is the second appliance I bought from home depot not only did I have problems with but customer service gave me problems. I am a contractor. I purchased a new home and it came with all Electrolux products. We have been in the home for four months. The following items have broken (some multiple times): - Dishwasher (electronic panel, soap dispenser, bottom rack defect - panel replaced and waiting on new soap dispenser to arrive). - Ice Maker (door broken/beeping all night long - fixed three times). - Fridge (handle broken and replaced). - Stove Hood (came dented, rubber seal not falling off in two places - still not fixed after multiple pictures, e-mails, calls, and a tech visit).- Washing Machine (Can not wash a full sheet set at one time. Soap will not dispense and load will be soaking wet. Must wash flat sheet and fitted sheet separate. All loads must be 4-5 small pieces only - Tech agreed this a problem. When I called, they saw his notes but did not have any plans outlined to fix this. It sounds as though this is not broken, but actually just the way their product works). I remember Electrolux vacuums being the gold standard in my neighborhood as a child. This is not the case anymore. I would run from any product designed by this company.

3 years ago we renovated our home and bought new appliances (Electrolux products - Indonesia) for the kitchen. We bought a gas range, microwave, rice cooker and refrigerator. I selected Electrolux because of my experience with Electrolux in the USA was always very positive. The rice cooker required several repairs because of a bad smell after cooking rice. It was finally resolved. The gas range oven will not stay lit and requires me to watch constantly to make sure it stays on. However, I havent asked for a repair. I can manage using it without a repair at this time. The main issue we have is the refrigerator. Ive lost count the number of times weve contacted the service center and the number of times theyve been to our home or scheduled to come to our home to repair. The service staff who attempts to repair does not appear to be experienced or authorized to make decisions to repair without contacting the service center. After a few years of frustrations and attempts to repair we will replace with another brand. Ive had enough frustrations with the Indonesian service center and lack of response or promises that go unfilled.

Update on 01/14/2019: Because we were provided with an additional year parts and labor by Electrolux, a service person came in today, January 14, and replaced the door seal. Within one hour the new door seal was leaking again. Being extremely frustrated with Electrolux and the continued issue with their washer I phoned their customer service, again, and asked to speak to a supervisor/manager. I was informed they have no program to allow for each to return their defective washer, I will have to talk to the dealer (Recker & Boerger). I informed the supervisor I did not accept her response and wanted to talk to her manager. I was informed the manager would contact me in 1-2 days. I’m furious about their defective product and the manager won’t talk to me... I have to wait. Great customer service. Out of sheer frustration I called Recker & Boerger, talk to a store manager who told me they “chose” not to take back products that have been in a home over 30 days... My advice... Stay away from any Electrolux products and Recker & Boerger in the Cincinnati area. Both have no concept of how to provide customer service. Amazing.Original: In July, 2017 my wife and I allowed a salesperson to talk us into a front loading Electrolux washer, we had always had top loaders. Also bought matching dryer and the risers for each. Nothing but trouble with both, numerous service calls on washer and dryer. The washer is loud, sometimes much awful noises, doesn’t fill immediately while making those noises, but the most recent “joy in owning an Electrolux” is the door is leaking. The door seal was replaced approximately 6-8 months ago and we just started noticing streams of water running down the front of the washer. And, because we have it on a riser, water runs into the drawer on the riser. I’ll be calling Electrolux on Monday, we’ll have another service call, might get repaired properly, and wait for the next surprise. If you live in the Cincinnati area, stay away from Recker & Boerger. Once they make a delivery...you’re on your own, talk to Electrolux. So much for customer satisfaction. Best advice I can give is stay away from Electrolux!

Love my Electrolux microwave. It is super quiet. We always have to check to make sure we started it. Looks great with the rest of our Electrolux appliances. Only thing it's missing is a shortcut feature for bacon. Just found out if you touch a number, it will start automatically without pressing start. Really easy to operate. The vent is quiet as well, unless you have it on high. Which is still quiet compared to others. It was a bit difficult to install when we removed our old GE Profile microwave. It definitely took more than 30 mins. More like 1 hour and a half. The space inside is huge. You can't go wrong with this one.

We would like to express our disappointment with the Electrolux refrigerator model: EW28BS71IS. We purchased this refrigerator in March of 2010 to replace a 7-year old Kenmore side by side refrigerator. We chose this model by brand name knowing that Electrolux is the leader in the industry in quality and service on appliances. Its unfortunate for us to tell you how far youve missed the mark with the model we purchased. Weve had the model serviced three times since weve bought it. The ice maker board has been replaced twice. My wife and I both missed four days of work due to the service calls so the repair person could come to service the fridge, one day for them to figure out what was wrong and another day for them to install it. Our last experience was the most painful. The main board went out and we had to live out of coolers and a dorm size refrigerator for over two weeks. It took three visits by the service repair man before the refrigerator was working again. They ordered the main board from their parts list which took four days. They came to install it and the board in the fridge is different than the one in the repair manual they had. This required them to order another board which took another four days. If we didnt have large Kenmore upright freezers, we wouldve lost all our frozen food.Whats amazing to this story is we arent the only ones dealing with these issues. We happen to be out at a party with some friends telling them our refrigerator saga and that my wife has put her foot down that if there is one more issue, the fridge is gone. They asked the model and when we bought it because they were having similar issues. Sure enough, they bought the same model around the same time. Ive included their story below. I cant believe we are the only two people having these problems and we want to know what you can do to resolve our ongoing issues.

36 Electrolux Icon Professional Series Counter Depth French Door - For a refrigerator that costs 3700.00 you would think it would last WELL. You would be WRONG. Not a good investment. I do not recommend this product at all. We have had the rubber seals go bad. Pieces of some plastic just brake off and now the repairman tells us that the ice maker just ate itself. We have no power to it at all, good thing we were home. The service guy said he has seen where they have caught fire. Again glad we were home. Customer service is NO HELP AT ALL. Awful experience with model #EFME517SIW 8.0 cu. (Electrolux Dryer 2016) .The front door rattles at very high decibels as does the flimsy rear panel. We cant stand the noise and disruption within our home. Called Electrolux and they claimed that after one year, there is no warranty coverage for this issue. Unfortunately, we purchased the washer/dryer set while the home was under renovations and were unable to use the appliances for several months. Updated on 09/03/2020: It is now September 3, 2020 and I have finally been able to write to 2 people at Electrolux (Mira and Melissa) about my Frigidaire Refrigerator issues. Even though I have been told the people I wrote would get back to me (5 days ago), I have heard nothing from anyone at Electrolux/Frigidaire. The staff refuse to provide contact information to anyone above Supervisor and Ive been at this since receiving this defective fridge in May 2020. I am frustrated that Ive spent so much money and wasted so much time trying to resolve issues that should not exist in a new product.Original Review: I bought a Frigidaire Professional refrigerator from HOME DEPOT who broke the door upon delivering it. They replaced it with another unit which was defective. The defective unit was replaced with a unit with defective parts again. Electrolux and HOME DEPOT insisted that it be repaired, not replaced. They sent out a tech three times then advised me that they approved a replacement weeks prior. That was on July 29, 2020. The (3rd) replacement was authorized on July 8 (without notifying me). It is now August 20, 2020 and I find myself once again on hold for over an hour to be told Sherine at HOME DEPOT cant find the information and cant help me that I need to call another dept.I called the other dept. who said I had to deal with HOME DEPOT.... Yes, I spent hours and hours calling these companies only to be placed on hold for hours and I am still having to wait for them to figure this out. My review is about the really long wait times on hold (today only it was 2hrs and 17 minutes in total), the fact that too often they dont know how to use the phone and say that there are phone system issues today. Too often they are rude and unhelpful. Consumers need to think long and hard about who they buy from. Too often big companies are buying the competition and limiting consumers options, then remove quality of service. Its time the consumer speaks up or stop buying crappy product from companies who dont care to provide care.

Where to begin. We purchased all of our Electrolux appliances when we built our new home. Fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer. All Electrolux. We have had the induction stove in the past and loved it, so decided we would buy the same brand for all of our appliances. In the first few months of owning them we had problems with everything. The fridge ice maker gets clogged and leaks water. The microwave light stopped working and was replaced just barely under warranty. The new microwave control panel no longer lights up, therefore we cannot see what we are doing. It is now out of warranty and is apparently our problem. The dishwasher. Wow, what a disaster. It’s quiet and that’s about the only good thing going for it. It leaves the dishes wet no matter what cycle we put it on. We have replaced the control panel not once but twice under warranty and the one side still doesn’t work unless we bang really hard on it. It is now also out of warranty and they will not fix it. The washing machine detergent drawer doesn’t drain properly and always has water in it. The dryer is ok but the rubber gasket comes out all the time.We spent over $10,000 on our appliances. Appliances that are supposed to be “high end” but quite frankly, this company not only makes junk, they could care less about customer satisfaction or service. Being a business owner myself, I find this deplorable. I will never buy from Electrolux again and not even 3 years in to owning our appliances, we will be replacing both the dishwasher and the microwave as neither function to get their respective jobs done. Very disappointed. Save your money and buy another brand!

The appliance company replaced it with a new Electrolux. Four months later, the ice maker stopped producing ice and water started leaking onto the floor from the water dispenser. Two months later, after 4 visits by the appliance company service department, a gasket left of the fridge seemed to be the culprit.I ordered that rubber gasket and 3 weeks later, it showed up. The appliance company came out to replace it but its the wrong gasket. That was 4 weeks ago. I just got a call from them and the correct replacement gasket will be delivered within 5 days. Now, we are going on more than 4 weeks to get that rubber gasket and who knows if its the right one. Thats almost 2 months total waiting for the correct gasket! Im stunned that Electrolux is still in business with this kind of incompetency and bad manufacturing practices.

I have a brand new home with brand new appliances. Since we purchased the home in January the dishwasher has never worked correctly. We have had repair persons out to repair it 4-5 times. Every time they leave it is worse than when they started. Last Monday June 15th a repair person came out, the dishwasher does not work at all now! He told me he would put in a request for replacement, he did not.. So after receiving no contact regarding the dishwasher I called on Thursday June 18th, the lady that day told me she put in a request for replacement and someone would call me with 24 hours. After receiving no phone call as of Tuesday June 23rd I called back. That lady told me that I was told incorrectly and it could 48-72 hours. So after receiving no phone call as of Wednesday June 24th I called again. No supervisor was available but the lady I spoke to said she escalated the request and someone would call me within 24 hours. After again receiving no phone call as of today June 25th I called again. This time the lady said I was again mistold. I was now told it would be 3 business days, not 24 hrs.As you can see I can not understand why no one will call me back and my dishwasher has not been replaced/repaired. We were going on 12 days without a dishwasher. While I understand this isnt a 911 emergency I have four kids and a life. Being that my house is brand new and the appliances were an upgrade Im a lot pissed off!

I spent around $2000 for what I thought was a top of the line Electrolux washer and dryer from Home Depot. After use for a couple of weeks the dryer started leaking water from the steam valve. I would dry my clothes only to find a pool of water in the dryer and wet clothes. I called Home Depot and they told me to call Electrolux. Electrolux sent a service person and they did nothing to fix the problem. The person blamed the installer stating it was an installation issue. I spent hours on the phone, holding, getting transferred and hung up on with Home Depot and the Install company. After another two weeks the installer came back to check the install. At this point the water was leaking from the dryer back to the floor pan and water was collecting in large amounts on the floor plan. The installer found no issues and showed me where the water was coming from the back of the dryer. Back to the phones again with Electrolux. Another week and the service company came back. They replaced the steam valve and said it was likely not closing. Afterwards I used the dryer again and the water was not leaking but the dryer made a rattling noise and it was getting hot to touch on outer sides of the machine. I called Electrolux and told them I was not comfortable using the dryer. This was supposed to be a brand new top of the line machine and was causing me nothing but issues, time off from work and countless hours on the phone. The Electrolux representative said I may be eligible for a replacement and that they would put in the request and I would hear back in 48 business hours. This was on a Tuesday and by Friday I still hadnt heard back. I called Electrolux again and spoke to two different representatives; the first one said there was no update and I had to just wait. When I asked to speak to a supervisor she transfer me to a customer survey and hung up on me. The second representative said the first person did not file the request correctly and that they would put in the request again and I would need to wait another 48 business hours. Again no response within 48 hours from Electrolux. I am exhausted in dealing with this company, their poor product and customer service. If I had the option I would just return it all and get another brand. What are my rights as a consumer?

I purchased by Electrolux dryer in 2/09. My major complaint was on occasion it would burn certain clothing. The grate on the back of the dryer became black. I tried to clean it to no avail. I dealt with it since it was past my extended warranty and wasnt happening all the time. Recently my dryer stopped working and I said error code E66 on the panel. I called the service number it gave me and they referred me to a service tech in the area. He came the next day stated he could fix the fuse that burned out causing the error code but the real problem is the fact that the dryer gets too hot (I have noticed that) and that is what is burning the clothing. A total of $800 to fix this problem!! A quick google search shows that this is an issue with these dryers, and from the conversation with the service agent it seems they are aware of this. They offered me a 10% discount on the parts! How generous! I choose Electrolux because of their name but that isnt worth anything anymore. Never again!

My Electrolux EIMED60JIWO front load dryer will not start. Serial # 4D10402611. Purchased May 28, 2011 Hampton, VA. Registered with Electrolux. If I turn the dial to different settings it beeps at each setting, light flashes on and off with the beep. If I try to start, turn the dial, cancel or push any other buttons, it beeps. This has happened 4 times since I purchased the dryer in May 28 of 2011. I believe the last technician said the dryer had to be reset. It will not reset. I tried unplugging, resetting the circuit breaker, factory resetting the dryer by pushing the temperature button and the dryness button simultaneously for 6 seconds. NOTHING. STILL NOT WORKING!!! Of course it is only 4 years old, but out of warranty. They advised that I purchase a 2 year extended warranty for $267.74, and then I have to wait 9 days for the earliest service call. The dryer cost $1100!!! They didnt fix the problem when it was under the original warranty. I am NOT happy with Electrolux. WARNING!!! DO NOT BUY ELECTROLUX!! They offer a poor product, poor service, and fail to honor the warranty. I expected more out of my Electrolux. Please advise.

A one star rating is drastically too high for a company which I would consider the epitome of Worst Customer Service ever! When we purchased our new home, our builder offered a suite of Electrolux appliances, which appeared to be a good compliment to our home. Fast forward 30 days into our new home and we are already contacting Electrolux to have our new double oven serviced. 1) Temperature settings are not accurate as things cook at different rates every time we use it (Burns one time and then the next it will take twice as long as prescribed). 2) The fan on the top quiet oven sounds more like a jet engine spooling up for operation. Both issues were addressed with Electrolux. First service call - One repair technician shows up and then proceeds to inform us that it is a two person job, thus the service call has to be rescheduled. Next call, technician diagnoses the issues and orders parts. Parts arrive about a week later...another week goes by when I find out from my wife that they did not set up a follow-on appointment, nor have they called to set one up since the parts have arrived. That was the first time that I learned that Electrolux does not even attempt to go the extra mile for their customers. I called Electrolux and set my follow-on appointment...being spoiled by other companies with exceptional customer service cost me weeks in turn around repair time. Follow-on appointment happens and the parts are replaced and supposedly repaired. Oven still spooled up as if the generators were getting ready to come online and bring the aircraft to life and the temperatures settings were still unreliable. Over the course of my first 10 months, we dealt with this issue multiple times until we hit our breaking point as each time of dealing with the oven repair was mentally and emotionally exhausting with Electrolux. (The process is not smooth...I would say broken, but I dont think it has ever been a well established process.) After the last unsuccessful repair, I contacted Electrolux customer service number to request a replacement oven...the customer service agent pushed back stating that the part would have to be serviced again before replacing. We then had a heart to heart discussion about how we were not going to be inconvenienced for another repair attempt when all of the previous attempts failed. Our request was sent to the Back Office People for review for replacement for which he stated we would receive a determination via email in a few days. Fast forward again a few weeks...I get an email from some random delivery company stating that they were shipping an Electrolux oven to my address. Yes, that is how I found out that Electrolux had decided to replace my oven...in case you are not aware by now, never expect Electrolux North America to ever go the extra mile - aka email you to let you know they are replacing your busted oven. In November 2017, a delivery driver just appeared at our house without a pre-notification and proceeded to deliver our replacement oven. He then proceeded to let our new oven come crashing down on our driveway in front of my wife, who was luckily outside watering our grass at the time. My wife was astonished that the delivery driver continued to deliver the oven...and when approached, he stated that had she not been out there, he would have dropped it in the garage and left without ever saying a word. The questionable ethics of the deliver driver spooked my wife into fear that denying the delivery would only mean that shady driver takes oven away only for same company to bring same oven back a few days later. Since November 22nd, 2017 - we have been dealing with Electrolux North America to come to an acceptable solution to have a one for one swap completed. As sadly as it may sound, I have truly learned that Electrolux North America (especially North American Liaison Rita **) could not care less about the customer and their overall experience. All attempts to have the situation addressed with a means that would put their customer at ease...have fallen on deaf ears. Electrolux customer service, as well as Rita **, will only address a rigid black and white approach of how situations are to be addressed according to a policy and will never apply the Reasonable Person Theory, which would require them to listen to their customers and understand their concerns with at least the slightest bit of compassion. Recommendation - Do not buy Electrolux appliances or appliances of any of their sister companies. If you need any repairs, you will surely regret ever making that purchase...that I can guarantee.

I bought a Electrolux refrigerator in 2011. The refrigerator is a $4,000.00 piece of junk. Not only is it a product with multiple issues, one being a fire hazard, 2 the ice maker never worked properly. And the customer service is even worse than the product. I called to have the ice maker repaired but when the repairman came, he said, there was nothing he could do because he didnt see a problem. The fire hazard - is that the lighting unit burnt a hole right through the liner. Which I called on and they told me I was out of warranty and that they never heard of that particular problem BUT lucky for me, they sold a repair kit for the particular problem! LOL, really?I decided to contact the BBB because I refused to give Electrolux a dollar of my money. I had communication with Electrolux learning that the refrigerator liner was still under warranty. Or misleading me to believe it was under warranty. Their words were the cabinet liner, compressor, and something else had a 2-5 year limited warranty. With that letter in hand I contacted Electrolux and they agree to send a repair person out to repair the liner but if it was considered to be cosmetic that I would be responsible for the charges. I thought to myself, how in the world could they find this cosmetic? It is a fire hazard and clearly a factory defect. The repair main showed up to my house a couple days later and told me that it was not fixable. Armed with the same letter from Electrolux I gave him a copy of it. He said OK this clearly states you are covered for under warranty and I putting in a request for a new one. But dont hold my breath because its his experience that Electrolux doesnt honor their contracts. They always stick the customer with the bill. And as far as the burn hole, he has seen it many times and is very common for it to happen with their product. They of course did not honor their contract. They refused to cover anything. And deny that its covered because they deemed it cosmetic! Horrible company. Hopefully no one has to die before recalling this fire hazard.

We remodeled the kitchen two years ago. Since that time, we have had expensive service calls on our Electrolux wall oven, slide-in range/oven, and washer and dryer. Now, the microwave is on the blink (I have to lightly touch the start button to get it to go). And this evening, its the clothes dryer which is stuck in the pause mode and wont move! We bought seven Electrolux appliances, thinking we had the best on the market. We are now totally convinced of our stupidity! This brand is junk! We have spent hundreds of dollars in repairs and are totally disgusted with this brand.

I will pitch in with a control panel complaint too. I had to replace panels or boards, and the clock control. It cost me about $1,000.00 to get it sorted. This on a range less than 4 years old. We expected it to last at least 8 years. And it was expensive. The repair folks indicated they see a lot of condensation problems. Electrolux hasnt got a handle on this. I contacted Electrolux and they initially seemed helpful, but they were just stringing me along. They said they would give me a reduction if I bought a new one. Right! I cant hardly afford the repairs on the one I have let alone spending another 2 grand on a new range. Stay away folks, stay away!

We had to create space on our kitchen counters and decided to use the area above our stove. We had the small cupboard presently in place cut done by a few inches, removed the old range cover, and installed this microwave/ convection oven. Because of the convection oven, we are able to have three ovens at that location. We have a GE double oven with the control board on the front. Sometimes we use on of the stove ovens as a warmer, which we do have the space to add.

We had our kitchen remodeled five years ago. Right off the bat the refrigerator started acting up. After several service calls we received a check for our purchase price. Thank goodness we got the extended warranty. Next the microwave door handle came off. They came out and replaced it. Unfortunately, it has happened again, our warranty is over so we will be purchasing a new microwave. Not an Electrolux. Our dishwasher door was malfunctioning. The service rep told the warranty people that it was non repairable. The piece that needed to be replaced was a small plastic piece that he said they couldn’t get to replace. He also said that we must have been responsible for it breaking so they would not replace the dishwasher. Another interesting note is that every technician that came here remarked at what horrible appliances Electrolux are. Wish I had known that.

But now, I have to heat it many times or up to 10 minutes so that my food will be hot enough. For boiling water, it sometimes takes 20 minutes just to get the right temperature. I have had this Electrolux EI23BC35K Counter Depth Refrigerator for about two weeks now, so I am ready to give it a review. Some things that I really like about it are: Looks great, doors and drawers all open and close smoothly. The LED lights come on and transition from off to full brightness in a couple of seconds. Rounded pyramid ice cubes from the door dispenser, and near half moon shaped cubes in the freezer, plenty of ice. So far, the ice makers are working perfectly. Temperature readings on the front display appear accurate. What I don't like about this refrigerator: The compressor and fans run constantly. I have only heard it shut off once, for about 15 minutes. Even after not being opened all night long, it is still running non-stop in the morning. It does have, as other reviewers have noted, a slight, high pitched whine coming from the compressor. It's not too loud, but noticeable. Since it never cycles off, it can be a bit annoying if you have good hearing and your kitchen is open to the living area. The water filling the ice makers makes a loud whoosh noise, much louder than my previous fridge. The refrigerator arrived in decent time, considering it had to be shipped from the east coast to the west coast. Upon arrival, the packaging appeared good, and once the cardboard was removed, it all looked good so I accepted delivery. After I completed the tedious task of removing the protective film from the stainless steel front, I found a small dent in the exact middle of the freezer door. It wasn't visible with the film on, and the film took a long time to remove as it was like peeling duct tape off. The blue film on the handles come off easily, but the somewhat clear film on the doors was a royal pain to remove, taking about 40 minutes to finish. I did not make the delivery people wait while I did this, so could not mark it as damaged in shipping, so I get to live with it. That being said, I am overall fairly happy with my purchase, but would really have to think twice about buying a major appliance this way again. I saved a couple hundred over buying locally, but lost out on having the slight damage repaired. The savings I made were used to buy a SquareTrade extended warranty and new water supply line. If I have any issues in the future, I will update my review.

My wife and I bought a brand new home, with brand new Electrolux appliances
My wife and I bought a brand new home, with brand new Electrolux appliances 2 years ago. EVERY Electrolux appliance we bought has had major problems within the first 18 months, and continues to break. The following all happened within the first 18 months of owning the appliances, and with fairly light use. The microwave simply stopped working. The control panel went black and would not response. We paid nearly $1000 for parts and labor to fix it (as this happened just barely after the warranty expired). 6 months later, the same thing happened. No support or coverage, although the technician was quite insistent that he never sees problems with these appliances and that we buy an extended warranty from him, which we did not.The refrigerator door handle became very loose. $90 repair bill. Technician was again quite insistent that he never sees problems with these appliances and that we buy an extended warranty from him, which we did not. About a month later, the freezer drawer handle became very loose. $90 repair bill. The technician was quite insistent that we buy an extended warranty from him. We did not. The Oven stopped working. Simply no heat. Everything looked like it was working, but there would be no heat. $540 repair bill. The technician once again claimed that these appliances almost never have any issues, and was quite insistent that we buy an extended warranty from him. We did not. The dishwasher top rack continues to break loose from its rollers, requiring everything be removed, including unscrewing the brackets for the top rack, and remounting it. This is a very poor design, and seems to be a very common problem on this model. The stove top knobs have all broken loose, and the stove top ignition has stopped working several times. You may be thinking that we must really be rough on our appliances. No.. We barely use them. Our kids have moved away and it is just my wife and I. We are gentle with them, and try to be very careful, especially with what now seems to be extremely fragile workmanship. We have owned several homes and many, many kitchen appliances... We have never had any issues (even when all of our kids were at home and the appliances saw much greater use). Electrolux is without question the very worst. You may be asking why we dont replace them, instead of repairing them. Good question, and we probably will. Of course the cabinets were designed around these appliances, and they all match aesthetically, which is a big part of the reason.

So he took out the one good light bulb and charged me $113.00 fee for nothing. Now I cant see anything in my oven and my husband cant work the controls very well. When you set the oven to a pre-heat setting the oven heats up to that temperature but it doesnt maintain that temp and the temp begins to fall. Called Electrolux and they recommended a repair company and they came. They replaced the heat sensor for over $200.00 in repairs. No fix. Then called another company on our own and he replaced the motherboard, still no fix. My wifes first cousin (with my help) took the oven out of the cabinet and he found that the heating element at the bottom of the oven burnt up. Replaced that heating element and now the oven works just fine. Electrolux wanted to sell me an extended warranty on the oven for $500.00, not solving the problem. Electrolux customer services is PP even though youre paying top dollar for their product.

I purchased a Electrolux washer and dryer in the fall of 2015 and it has broken 4-5 times. Each time it takes 2-3 weeks for repair. This August they replaced the drum, a plastic piece that goes around the drum and the bearings. Five months later the plastic piece has started leaking a lot. So I have been out of a washer for 2 weeks now... never have I had a washer break so much... I bought it because this was suppose to be the best. Boy were they wrong!Updated on 1/15/2018: I recently wrote a review on my Electrolux washer. It was leaking water and the service person came out and said a plastic piece that wraps around the drum had cracked and they had to replace the drum, bearings and the plastic piece all had just been replaced 5 months before. It took 2 months for them to replace them 5 months ago. For 2 months I was without a washer. They replaced the part Jan 4th. The drum and plastic piece were covered in rust which is why my clothes were getting rust on them. Well 8 days later the washer will not drain. This is the fifth time since I bought the washer 2 1/2 years ago that it has broke. The insurance company says the same Part has to break 5 times before they replace it. This is the 2 or 3rd time the pump has broke. For a high-end washer this washer has been nothing but broke.

I moved into my new home last year. It was furnished with various Electrolux appliances, refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave. We decided to utilize the self-cleaning feature of our Electrolux oven model #EW30DS65GS. Well the self-cleaning feature worked fine but then the upper oven wouldnt work. It only stayed at 100 degrees. So I researched the issue and found that its a problem common to your dual ovens, they overheat and blow a fuse, blow the thermal control and may only need the reset the button. The button I understand is located in the back of the oven and were unable to get to it since its built-in and glided onto our Kitchen counters. This has been so frustrating! The manual doesnt warn you that there would be a problem with the oven when the self-cleaning feature is utilized. Had we known, we would have never used the self-cleaning feature. Now I have a nice Electrolux dual oven but the upper oven doesnt work. I think that Electrolux should provide concessions to people that have these products and cover the cost of the repair. It doesnt seem right that a common feature as self-cleaning would result in disastrous consequences when used. It appears that this is a manufacturing defect with the oven. I implored the company to assist me with this repair so I can take full advantage of my oven. It really is a nice oven and its a shame that it cant be fully utilized as intended. I spoke to customer assistance several times and emailed them with no avail.

We bought an Electrolux wall oven 5 years ago. At 4.5 years the element and fan needed to be changed. At 5 years the control panel completely died. For almost a month I chased customer service to fix our oven. I wrote 2 complaints on their website with no response. I rang the customer line over 8 times. I spent hours and hours on hold. I received two callbacks that came at a time I was unable to answer so I had to wait on line for ages again just to get through. After waiting a week for a technician to come out, we were told the part needed to be ordered and would be another week. A week later, we were called 20 mins before his arrival to tell us it would be over $650 to fix including the call out. I refused to pay this amount. The oven is only 5 years old. I was told by customer service that because it was 5 years old then parts would breakdown and that I was not obligated to get them to fix it and could find help elsewhere! What a joke! Who buys an oven to last just 5 years!! I told them that after 2.5 weeks without an oven and multiple calls and complaints and emails I would not pay this amount. They agreed to a staff discount amount, however, the part needed to be ordered AGAIN (despite the fact the technician had it in his van ready to install that day), and then once the part arrived we would need to arrange an appointment for a technician again, so another week would go by with no oven. At 3.5 weeks we finally had the technician fix the oven. After my first couple of calls, I insisted on speaking to a manager about this matter, however, despite my complaint being escalated not once was I referred to a manager. I was told at one point to go out on the weekend and buy a new oven and they would give us a $600 discount! Not only would I NEVER buy Electrolux again, I also did not have an easy $2000- $3000 laying around to buy a new oven this weekend and pay for installation! What a complete joke! Not once did Electrolux care about the customer. Not once did they make it convenient of us. Not once did they escalate my matter to a manager. This company needs a serious look at their practices and a huge overhaul of their customer service line. I told they could not transfer me to the manager because they do not have the phone facility to do so! I was also told that even if that first technician installed the new control panel he had in his van, that I would have to pay full price. Why, should I the customer, chase all of this up because they do not have the correct technology or facilities to do what is convenient and right by their customer? They are a HUGE company selling electrical goods but do not have the most basic facilities to transfer phone calls or arrange for a reduced price with their technicians. NEVER BUY ELECTROLUX.

6 Appliances, 12 problems, expensive solutions: We built this new home about 5 years ago. Its just the two of us and our dog. In the past 5 years we use the home about 7 months of the year. Every single appliance has had problems, too many to outline. Some of the problems Electrolux has no fix for other than expensive parts to fix parts that they knew did not work. More problems are on the way, as our microwave has stopped rotating and our freezer is making a funny noise as well as the fan in the convection oven is making sounds that it did not make before. These are all top of the line appliances that should last more than a couple of years of use. However Electrolux does not agree or care. My Electrolux refrigerator came with my new builders home - I wanted GE Pro
My Electrolux refrigerator came with my new builders home - I wanted GE Profile, but settled for Electrolux. The refrigerator has been nothing but a problem. The freezer side and the water dispenser, have been worked on many times. The freezer freezes up with crystals, water continues to drip from the dispenser and they have repaired it four (4) times without success. I have asked for a more seasoned professional to come and handle the repair however I just keep getting the same old, same old person who always comes (yes, the one who put the door heater in upside down!!!). Be cautious when you are considering purchasing an Electrolux product - GE Profile cant be beat, even though it might cost a little more. The Electrolux customer service treats people like they are the judge and we are the condemned. Their service times is ancient - 8AM-5PM of all things. Who does that anymore??? Ive spend five days home waiting for them and Im tired of it now. I urge you to look around, check on the customer service, read reviews, do your homework before purchasing.

I purchased what I thought was a high quality front loading washer and dryer from Electrolux in 2014. In only two and a half years, the dryer has stopped working. The moisture sensor completely just fell off on its own, and I am beyond warranty. Ive had to take days off from work to have the item inspected, and to order a new part. It isnt cheap either. This is a very disappointing product that was not made very well.

Double Electrolux oven - Purchased this oven in 2006, almost immediately had outage problems. Every time I use them, and then clean them, they short-out. The fix was to install new motherboard, expensive computer problem. Electrolux says, Just dont use the self-clean feature. Ridiculous! I paid for that with the assumption it will work... Their warranty says that with 3 repairs for the same thing they will replace them. Ive had more than 12 service calls for the same problem but no replacement. I tried getting the number or address of one of the EXECS, they will not give it to me. I see today, they have won an award for the best oven design of the year 2015. What a joke. I want my oven replaced!

We bought an Electrolux washing machine, front loader, almost a year ago. It started leaking 11 months into our ownership. Three calls later to Electrolux, we now have had multiple parts replaced and even the motor replaced. Now the technician is telling us that he has to again replace the same part he replaced a month ago. Its complete garbage! A total lemon! Never buy!!

We bought our Zen vacuum cleaner in fall 2016, the main selling point being that it was claimed to be the most silent vacuum cleaner in the world. Well, it was silent for the first weeks. Then, there was this loud squeaky noise when vacuuming carpets. Turned out there was an air leak around the fitting of the tube in the handle due to cheap plastic that wears out in no time. Also turned out that the two year warranty did not cover the tube, which was only covered by 6 months. Within these 6 months we had the tube replaced three times, but to what use? The construction itself is wrong in combination with poor material, and it will wear out again no matter how many times you replace the part. This flaw also applies to the built-in nozzle holders that are too weak to hold the nozzle/tube in place. It keeps falling out making noise and waking up the children. Zen is anything but the most silent vacuum cleaner. One more thing while I am at it, the buttons! They are designed for the sake of design, but are absolute useless. Lets just say that the power button of Zen combines the versatility of traditional buttons, and the tactility of a touch screen. Press it and behold, nothing happens! In short, vacuum cleaners from Electrolux may look (and sound) good at a first glance, but the quality is a disgrace for Swedish engineering.

I purchased my refrigerator two months ago and already had to be repaired three times!!! Now, after the third service, the ice maker not working again! This is ridiculous! The worst refrigerator ever! I called Frigidaire customer service and they told me that they will send out another company to fix it! If the first three repair man couldnt fix it, even if they changed every and each part of the fridge for a brand new part, they think that the fourth one could do different? Maybe if he has a magic wand! This company and refrigerator from hell!

We purchased the washer and dryer in 2017. Was supposed to be this great pair. Well, its February 2, 2019 and the dryer just died. Cant get repair over for 4 days and who knows how long to get parts. Ive had approximately 4 other brands of washers over the years and have never had one do this. All of my washers and dryers lasted well over 10 years. NOT THIS ONE. Luckily, we are building a new home and wont take this or buy another. BEWARE!

Bought Electrolux dishwasher Feb. 2013. So far, three visits from repair man. Even though I listed all of my complaints, repairman said there was nothing wrong with my dishwasher, and left without doing anything. Next visit decides control board is bad. Get new control board, works fine. Serviceman leaves and next day, dishwasher doesnt work, and noticed middle arm hits top basket. This is why top glasses never got clean. Repair man needs to return 4th time because pump does not work. But he needs to see for himself, thus will need to come back 5th time, before one year is up.

I bought a new Electrolux washer and dryer from Home Depot online in November of 2017. The dryer has not worked correctly since it was installed. After contacting Electrolux, they sent a repairman out twice to fix the problem with no resolution. The second time, after taking the dryer completely apart and replacing the motherboard and wiring harness, the dryer wont even run. Electrolux will not replace the dryer and wants more repairs done before even considering a replacement. I bought a new dryer and now its a used dryer!

The screen is hardly visible for years and the new parts are supposed to be worse than keeping the old part that the microwave works. After 5 years I had to replace the Electrolux refrigerator and dishwasher. After 7 years I had to replace the Electrolux stove and oven. I would replace the microwave but they do not make this size anymore. Although, the new Electrolux appliances are beautiful. I truly believe the original appliances should have lasted longer. I do not recommend this brand for anything except vacuums.

Refrigerator serial number 4A83408850. Not even 6 years old. For one week an alarm goes off and displays power fail. The alarm buzzes 3 to 5 times waking everyone up! Its nocturnal! Depriving us of our sleep! Electrolux said we need to replace the unit board which will Cost $130. Called for service from the place we purchased it and they cant come till Tuesday June 24. Electrolux said that eventually the refrigerator will stop working and I believe it because it is getting worse. Last night we got a new code display CE so we unplugged the fridge which helped reset it!

Electrolux refrigerator exhibiting serious problems after the one year manufacturer warranty was up. I had purchased an extended warranty (not through manufacturer) however, when I called Electrolux to report my issues - possibly having a lemon, too many problems for a new fridge, etc. - they were completely disinterested and took no responsibility for their product. They said it was a dealer problem if I wanted any comeback! I spoke to a supervisor Jennifer. How can companies take no responsibility for a product? Specifically ice maker problems, digital display and water dispenser.

The refrigerator was purchased in ‘08. So far, the paddle to dispense water and ice has broken. There was no replacement for the paddle. You had to buy the entire dispensing system. Next, the circuit board fried. Again, it cost big bucks. There was no warranty. Now the defrost fan burned out. Again, it cost $250, not to mention the food that got ruined. Thank God the old GE fridge the Electrolux replaced, that was put in the garage, still works after 15 years. Never again will I buy Electrolux.

We purchased this expensive refrigerator in January of 2014. The in freezer ice maker does not stop working even when the ice bin is full. When opening the freezer drawer the ice cubes get knocked off into the back of the freezer and when the drawer is closed the drawer gets knocked off. The drawer slides and the drawer will not close properly and is difficult to correct. The plastic fascia on the freezer door cracked and Electrolux will not offer any compensation to repair this manufacturing defect because it happened two months after the year warranty.

I have a high end Electrolux refrigerator that is only 5 years old. The ice maker rusted through the back of the refrigerator and a softball size lump of ice was sticking out of the rusted area. The repairman stated the refrigerator was not repairable, he notified Electrolux and stated Electrolux would make good on it. Electrolux offered a 20% rebate on my next Electrolux refrigerator purchase because of the age of my refrigerator. My refrigerator is 5 years old. A refrigerator life expectancy is 14-17 years, making the average 15.5 years. My refrigerator lasted less than 1/3 of the average expectancy and I expected Electrolux to give me 2/3 off my next purchase. They stated my refrigerator was past warranty. Well Electrolux, this was a KNOWN manufacturer’s defect and you allowed the warranty to expire without informing your consumers. I bought Electrolux because I believed you to be upfront and honest and to stand behind your product and most of all to do the right thing. I couldnt be more wrong. I will never buy from you again and that includes your Frigidaire brand and I will be sure to let everyone I know and even strangers that you do NOT stand behind your product and are deceptive by not disclosing manufacturer defects to consumers at every opportunity.

Don’t invest in any Electrolux appliances! It’s way too expensive and not well made stainless steel material. In less than a year the plastic around the pullout drawer broke. When I called inquiring about it, they told me I have to replace the entire drawer that would cost me over $700. The front of the refrigerator is rusting. The inside door panel is rusting and leaving yellow stains. Terrible company to deal with.
