We purchased an LG refrigerator almost 4 years ago but we have had on and off problems with it for a year and a half. It has had the board replaced about a year ago but this has not resolved our problems and the only service company in our city authorized to repair it doesnt seem interested in resolving our problem any further. The problems are several. The ice maker works when it feels like it. The door alarm goes off even when the doors are closed. The freezer light has had the switch replaced twice but still refuses to come on most the time. The freezer freezes everything but ice cream which remains very soft. I had heard Lg products were very good quality but this refrigerator has soured me on ever buying another Lg product.

I will never purchase another LG product, they are inferior, and the manufacturer doesnt stand behind their product at all! We purchased a French door refrigerator and electric range 4 years ago and we have had nothing but problems. The refrigerator light malfunctioned while still under warranty and could have burnt our house down. Luckily, we were in town and I caught it just as the light cover had melted and warmed up everything in our fridge. The cabinet above the fridge was so hot, we could have cooked eggs in it. The ice maker has always had issues, and the fridge has intermittently frozen our vegetables at will. The manufacturer did replace the light fixture as this was a well-documented problem and I found hundreds of others online with the same melting problem including a few that actually did encounter a fire. The electric oven we purchased has had issues almost from the time the 1-year warranty was up. At times, weve had one or two burners that wouldnt work, and most recently, the start button on the oven doesnt work. We had this repaired a month ago, only to have the same problem the day before Christmas. In calling the repairman back, it will cost us another $400 after the $80 last month to repair this relatively new oven. We arent willing to dump another $400 into this piece of junk, as we have no confidence that it wont go out again soon. What ever happened to quality? LG stinks, and I tell everyone I know not to buy from them!

This is a PSA regarding LG dishwasher LDP6797BD. First do not buy any LG products. I purchased this dishwasher in Oct./17 and it has been broken down twice. The repair tech arrived to fix it and the parts shipped were damaged so therefore he could not fix it. So called customer service. Rep Ali started talking the moment I asked that the unit be replaced explaining that the repairs had to be completed. He was finished with his work and explained that to her, she then told him he had to talk to technical department in order to recommend replacement. Our repairman assured me that LG doesnt replace any defective appliances that they will replace every part instead. I will be replacing this piece of junk and will tell everyone on every site I can NOT TO BUY THIS POS from LG Electronics.

LG20770ST french door 19.7 30 refrigerator - Less than 2 years old, a flimsy 1.5 inch spring on left door flap broke. Fortunately bought 5-year ext. warr. at R.C. Willey. Submitted claim on Willey site on 7/21/14, but had to call after 1 week. Service co. had 3 parts on backorder from LG with no ETA. (3 parts for a tiny spring? I sent them pics with claim). After 2 wks called Willey ext warr dept. They are very nice and helpful. They contacted LG, found the part irreplaceable (DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE) and Willey is replacing the refrigerator with the same model. This is the only one I found that fits in my tiny area. I have to buy a new warranty ($129 for 5 years), but worth it as the replacement may have the same problem and I may find myself in the same situation a couple years from now. Another problem with this fridge is there is no sensor on the ice maker for when the freezer drawer is open, and if you have bad timing the ice maker releases the ice even though the drawer is pulled out. Results are you are digging the ice from below the drawer. Who designed this thing? Long story short, save yourself a lot of trouble and buy a different brand.

After a week and a half of dancing with technicians and various customer support people, we now find our LG refrigerator cannot be fixed. We purchased an LG LFC25770SG on the last day of December 2008 and took delivery in January 2009. Three years and four months later, the compressor has died. When we first discovered the problem, we were shocked the warranty was only for a year. However, some parts are covered for seven years and our compressor is one of them (partial warranty as part is covered but service is not). I could give you the blow-by-blow description of the frustrating customer support calls, three service technician visits, multiple incorrect part deliveries, and going into the Memorial Day Weekend (a traditional barbecue weekend for us) with no refrigerator, no solution to the problem and no sense of urgency by LG in correcting the situation. Our model requires a compressor that is no longer available (even though it is covered by warranty). Of course, if you go online and look for the part, you find it listed (even on LGs sites) with various prices. On many sites, it lists a replacement part for the compressor, but LG said this model requires the original compressor and that there are no substitutes. Unfortunately, they apparently have not notified the parts industry or their factory-authorized repair technicians. Even the LG technician they sent out today (We had been dealing with Sears Home Repair.) thought the replacement part was a suitable sub and was trying to figure out how to install the replacement part. Only after I insisted he interrupt his call to listen to me did he hear me say we have talked to LG twice and that they said there is no substitution for this part. Sears parts distribution has sent us the same part in an expedited shipment twice. Guess Ill tell them since LG hasnt, now we are waiting for LG management to contact us for a solution to our problem undoubtedly next week. That will make a full two weeks without our refrigerator with no concern for the food lost, inconvenience, customer dissatisfaction, repair call costs, or even product quality. I expect their solution will be unsatisfactory (a replacement unit with no warranty, a depreciated value refund, or credit toward a new model, etc). None of these will be satisfactory, as I will accept nothing less than a suitable replacement with the full warranty or refund of our purchase price. I suspect this may be the beginning of litigation. I would like to think LG would be concerned enough about their brand and their product quality that they would want to do the right thing to make us whole. However, our experience so far and the complaints Ive read here do not project a favorable outcome.

Bought a nice looking LG fridge 3 years ago. Worked for about 2 years. On the 3rd year, the freezer does not cool. Called LG and was able to get a technician to come out. Fridge was fixed after $280 in labor. Was told the compressor was bad and there was a leak in the system sealed system. Thank God the parts were under warranty. 11 months later, freezer is not cooling again now. Call LG and they wanted $125 trip charge plus $250 for labor before they will come out to take a look at it. Give me a runaround. For a $3000 refrigerator I would of expect it to last more than 3 year. My old $700 whirlpool fridge lasted me 10+ year.

We purchased a counter-depth LG refrigerator (Model LFX25991ST) 4 years ago. The ice dispenser switch went bad. Then in June, 2017, the compressor failed and had to be replaced. In August, 2017, the evaporator fan failed and had to be replaced. We have lost all confidence in the refrigerator. There are many one-stars ratings for a reason.LG Warranty: When I called LG (good luck getting someone let alone someone you can understand), the customer service representative told me that parts are generally covered for 10 years, but labor is not. An authorized LG repairman can inspect the unit (usually for a fee) and order the parts from LG for free, but you pay for their labor to install the parts. If you dont use an authorized LG repairman, you will need to pay for both the parts and labor (but their labor charges are often a lot less, so the total cost may well be similar).

LG HE takes less time to dry clothes. Uses less hot water. I like the front-loading washer and dryer better than top-loading ones. They were somewhat on the expensive side, but worth it. LG has an innovative motor that will last longer because theres less motion involved. I like the pedestals as well. Ive had absolutely NO problems with either the washer or the dryer, and no missing socks! Mine are full-size side-by-side units. There are many cycle options for each: water temperature for wash and rinse, type of material, intensity of spin cycle; the dryer allows for both timed and sensor drying.

Fridge still looks brand new, except bottom right-hand corner of control panel is peeling with an appearance of ink stain. Contacted LG service, person said it was a known problem, out of warranty, that I could buy an extended warranty for 2 months at $366. Plus. Please Note: They told me this is a known issue. I called Home Depot they said they could recommend a repair service company but it would be at my expense for this known issue. I have told both Home Depot and LG I will never buy another product from either company again. My recommendation to you is do not give your money to these companies. They will not stand behind what they sell. Help them lose market share and vote at other business with your dollars.

I think LG refrigerator owners who are experiencing repeated compressor problems should file a Class Action Lawsuit against LG for a full original purchase price refund and subsequent repair and warranty plan costs incurred for inferior product design and manufacture. Our LG French Door Refrigerator Model LMXX30776S/01 is also experiencing compressor failures. Purchased in February, 2015, the original compressor was replaced in September, 2016. Now, August, 2017 that compressor is also failing. Temperatures continue dropping in the refrigerator, freezer, and mid drawer sections even though I continue lowering the temperature set points. The ice maker is also producing small cubes at a very slow pace, and they begin melting and forming refrigerator icebergs. My wife purchased the Warrantech Extended Warranty through hhgregg. Recently Wil, the LG repair tech from Fredericksburg, VA, was at my home to service the unit. He measured temperatures, low and high side line pressures, and voltage. He cleaned some dust from the back of the refrigerator and left. He said he could not stay and further monitor the unit because it went into the defrost cycle. He told me to call him after a day or two to let him know if I was still having problems. I called and left a message on his phone. I have not received a return phone call. The temperatures continue to drop. Refrigerator performance continues to deteriorate, and $3,000.00+ has been wasted on a extremely poor product.

Purchased an LG fridge model LFX29945ST from our local Home Depot. Weve had this fridge for almost 2 yrs now but we have had a number of issues after the first year of owning this POS. First issue is the annoying high pitch noise that comes from the compressor at times. Called Tech support and was told that our Fridge was not leveled and was most likely the cause of the issue. Our fridge is perfectly leveled and our house is only 2 yrs old with a perfectly leveled floor. Second issue is the lower freezer door will not close all the way at times due to ice building up on the tracks for the Freezer Door not allowing the door to seal the Freezer completely. I occasionally have to chip the ice away so the freezer door will close all the way so our food does not thaw out in the freezer. The last and final issue that weve had with this fridge, is at the bottom of the control panel next to the water and ice dispenser one day just started discoloring and peeling and now our fridge looks worse than our previous fridge that was 6 yrs old. I expected better quality for the price and wish I never bought this Fridge at all. DO NOT BUY!!

The motor has stopped working on my dishwasher and it is within the 10 year motor warranty. LG says they will replace the motor, however I need to pay $180 for a service tech to install the new motor. They say the motor itself is free, I just need to pay labor. I told them to send me the motor and I will install it myself, however they refuse to do so. The terms of the contract state that I am responsible for labor, that should give me the freedom to use my own labor, not be forced to pay (and overpay) for theirs.

We have had our LG 2301HR Direct Drive Front Loading washer going on two years. First of all, when the washer starts its water loading process, the valves close so forcefully and quickly that the water pipes throughout the house clang, bang and shake. You can not only hear them but you can feel them. To make matters worse, the closing of the valves are frequent and many throughout a wash cycle. This is a major design flaw.Secondly, I am replacing today the cold water inlet tri-valve system due to a water leak that developed in one of the valves (most likely due to the water loading process). I believe this will fix the water leak but unfortunately it will not affect the rapid shutoff process that created it. Hence, the part is only 35 bucks but that is with me doing the work and finding the problem. Too soon to be having problems with repair or replacement and I feel this solution to be only palliative.Third, yes I, too, have the same problems with all clothing having a moldy, musky odor. This has been since day one. We have tried and are still trying ways mentioned by the other reviewers with little to no resolution. The clothes do not smell clean because of the mold problem and it is obvious some soil is remaining in the clothing. Overall, the initial price tag of the washer made it a big decision for our family. It, too, was a replacement for our older top loader that worked just fine.We were sold on the idea that it was much more energy efficient and would pay for itself in time with the energy and water savings. LG is making inferior washing machines at the cost of our ignorance or belief that we are buying a better product. They are deemed defective presented by the problematic facts as testified by the reviewers/owners. The health issue alone (mold and mildew) should be enough for the Federal Health Dept to intervene. What about the BBB (Better Business Bureau)? Someone getting paid off?! What happened to our rights as consumers? Our forefathers are turning over in their graves. My seasonal allergies have become year-round chronic and come to think of it...it has been for the last two years. Go figure.

I bought a Kenmore Elite Refrigerator (LG compressor) in November 2015. It had a ten year warranty on the compressor. In November of this year (2019), the refrigerator stopped cooling suddenly. I lost over $200 in frozen/refrigerated items. It cost me $99 to just have a repairman show up and then another $260 to have diagnostics run to determine the failure mode. It was a bad compressor. Took another week to get parts (although repairman had a truck full of new compressors since he replaces over 30 a month) and then another couple days to get the repairman back out to fix. Total bill to have fixed was over $500. Repairman told me he has had three newly replaced compressors fail within 48 hours just this month. LG has a known design defect in the compressor system that they refuse to acknowledge or fix and continues to sell this faulty product. Do not buy an LG refrigerator.

Don’t ever buy an LG refrigerator! Paid top dollar for a top model in 2017. We recently purchased a LG fridge and have been happy with is so far. It is a top/bottom layout with the door in a door with the glass window. It is convenient to grab drinks and other often used items. It keeps everything very cool inside. We set it a few degrees lower to help keep the door items cool. The front items in the door average about 40 degrees while the inside is around 33-35. The Freezer section stays around 0 as desired so no issues there. We bought the extended warranty based on some reviews but are hoping to get a solid 10 years out of the fridge.

I bought LG Refrigerator Model #LFX31925ST about a year ago and all of a sudden it started making this irritating noise that is coming from around the bottom of the fridge. After making so many complaints to LG explaining to them about my problem they were telling me that the fridge was not sitting on a level floor. Making a long story short after a long battle with LG they finally send a technician to fix my problem. He told me to take all the food out of the freezer and he removed the panel that was covering the fan and replaced it with a panel that has a heater. When I asked him why he admitted to me about the design flawed where the fan builds ice and thats where the noise was coming from. He said the new panel has a built in heater so it will not build ice and that he is going around and changing this panel for customers who complain about this problem. For LG not to admit this problem and giving me the run around for more than a year was unacceptable. Had I not bought the extended warranty they would have not bothered to even do anything about it. This is being disingenuous and unfair business practice. So if you have noise problem call LG and ask them straightforward to come and change the panel regardless it being out of warranty or not. Sad but true!

Here I find myself reporting ANOTHER problem with our LG refrigerator that cost almost $3000. Its the three door with the freezer door on the bottom and is supposed to be wonderful because it has a linear something or other. The freezer compressor lasted just over one year. The labor warranty had expired and the compressor was covered. It still cost me $450 for the repair. Now, about one year later, the freezer has stopped working two more times with all the frozen food thawing. Curiously, after the food thaws, the motor starts working again. This happened to me again today. Fortunately, I have an old reliable Kenmore backup in the garage. I think that LG does not deserve another customer. Expect problems from them if you dare buy one. They should definitely be OOB. OUT OF BUSINESS!

Even if you wash clothes separately the lint on clothes stays along with washing powder patches. The inbuilt filter even if cleaned adds no value. Our refrigerator freezer completely died on Saturday, April 25, 2020. I contacted LG on Monday, April 27 and reported the problem. They had me go through the Smart diagnosis function, as well as the reset function and neither worked. They confirmed that there was a full warranty on both parts and labor, however they did not have a certified technician in my area (even though we live close to the Phoenix metropolitan area) so they would be unable to provide one. They indicated we could try to find one ourselves. We did find one that would service our refrigerator and asked the customer service to provide an “LOA” ( Letter of Authorization) which they indicated they would issue. After finding out from the service people that they did not receive the LOA, we contacted LG again and they indicated that they sent it. When we asked them Email it again while we were waiting on the phone, they indicated that they did. Again the service company said they never received it. We asked LG to send us a copy of the order and they said they would not do so. We finally got them to set up a service call for Wednesday, May 6. We ask them for the name of the service company, and still have yet to receive a response. Since that means almost 10 days with no refrigerator, we are extremely frustrated with LG.

I called to explain about some washing machine detergent dropping on the front of my LG washer. As I began to dry it off, the lettering on the console completely faded and disappeared. Instead of reading prewash, it reads pre ash. I called twice and today, December 7, 2011, spoke to a supervisor who said it is cosmetic abuse, and they do not cover it.They said I could only purchase a new console. I explained that the machine is about 1 1/2 years old, and that this lettering is poorly done. They repeated that it is cosmetic abuse. I paid over $800.00 dollars for the washer, and told the supervisor that I had a Kenmore for over 25 years, and none of the lettering came off. I wasnt washing down the machine, just cleaning some small droplets of laundry soap off the front, that dripped down.

This is the second time our fridge has broken in 4 years. They sent a tech three times to my house. This last go round to do whatever he did - and it did not fix the problem. How many times are they going to pay these repair people before they decide to cut their losses and just get us a new fridge. I wish they could just give us cash replacement value and we could buy a different brand - because LG is terrible.

I bought a LG refrigerator 5 years ago, which stop cooling due to leak in sealed system. Warranty 7 years. They refused to repair or replace and offered 40% of initial amount paid and it took them 4 weeks to resolve this. So be prepared to spend a few thousand dollars again within 5 years. Never an LG again! Technician who came to have a look at it suggested to buy KitchenAid or Whirlpool. The delivery man said he was not surprised to have to bring back the LG. It happens often?

LG Black Stainless Model #LFXC24726D - I have had my doors replaced twice. Last week the tech David ** here in Northern California came out to replace the freezer and one refrigerator door. When he replaced the freezer door he chipped the plastic on the freezer prying the old paint skin off. Then he scratched the new skin by the handle in the corner. It looks like the new skin that was replaced on the freezer doesnt fit this model because now all that you can see where the handles are is the white plastic. I called within 15 minutes of David leaving to complain about the chipped plastic. He came back to the house, took pictures and sent it on to customer service in Alabama to Jessica the Executive Supervisor. The following day I got an email saying they would be out on 10/18/18 between 8-12. Of course on 10/18/18 around 10:45 I get a call from Jessica the Executive Supervisor saying that they would not be fixing the chip that the tech made and that the case was closed and they would not be coming out anymore. I asked if they had reviewed my two email dated 10/21/18 on the other two issues. She said no and that I would get a call from her within 24-48 hours. Of course no call so I called on 10/22/18 and Jessica was not available so I spoke to Bill Executive Service Supervisor and told that I would have to pay for the new freezer door and service call on something that the tech David ** messed up. My only recourse is to appeal to the Office of the President (no phone number to speak to anyone in that office). At this point I will be complaining to the Bureau of Consumer Protection, Better Business Bureau and looking to see if there is a Class Action Lawsuit going on.

I was happy with the young man that repaired our refrigerator. He was professional and completed his work within a timely manner. I was disappointed in LG for not trusting me, I told the lady the compressor was not running. The fan and lights were working, just not the compressor. The temperature in the refrigerator was 65 degrees plus. I also told her I had heard the compressor running loud a few days before and now nothing. If the lady at LG had trusted me, the part could have been ordered and here or with repairman when he arrived here the first time and I could have my refrigerator repaired and running a week earlier. I am all not happy that repairs had to be done within the first few years of owning it. I understand that this is a regular occurrence on refrigerators now. Disappointed in the integration of the companies putting in place planned obsolescence. I have a 25 year old refrigerator that is still running and has never had repairs done to it. The big profits for the companies, is not good for the consumers or the landfills. I am thankful for the warranty that did cover the parts and the lady at LG for covering the labor repairs. I am just sorry that I have to be without my refrigerator for a extended period of time.

We bought a very expensive LG washer - dryer for our second home in London. Worked well even though perhaps only used 20 hours a year!!! Now after 7 years it did not dry anymore. We called out for servicing AND LG direct, paid 80 GBP to the servicing company only to receive the message, that spare parts are no longer available. LG answered, We would, sorry to say, throw the machine away and buy a new one. Result: Never LG again, throwing a complete nearly new machine away, is this green policy???

We made it 4 years with our LG refrigerator, purchased at Lowes. Everything was fine except that it wasnt cooling. Every single thing was fine except the air was blowing warm. No other problems. It was as if it just needed coolant. We have now been without a refrigerator for 10 days and almost every part has been replaced including the compressor, dryer, refrigerant, and other miscellaneous parts. Today we learned that they have to order a circuit board. The repair technician has no sense of urgency and seems totally clueless. We called LG Service to let them know what was happening and they had all the records of our 3 repair visits in the last 10 days but were totally unsympathetic and said that we are stuck until the repair guy can fix it. We bought the annual service agreement for $465 and expect better service for that kind of money. We have lost hundreds of dollars of food and are living out of a cooler. I love LG products but I will never buy another one because the service is the worst we have ever experienced. The only positive thing I can say is that he has used a freaking blow torch on every visit and hasnt damaged our hardwood floors...YET.

This washer is supposed to be water and electrically efficient. It is neither. It doesnt get the clothes clean, takes forever to run a load, not enough water but refills every time it is unbalanced (which is about 2 x/load). I have contacted LG. They just told me to check detergent and they were sorry I was unhappy. I went back to retail store. They contacted LG. A maintenance person was sent out but had to order a part. Purchased a LG Refrigerator from Home Depot in July of 2012. Within probably a month, I had to call the company and have them come and service the freezer as it was completely frosted up. I did not find the person on the phone to be polite at all and pretty much implied that I had done something to make the freezer frost up. That problem was fixed and I have not had any further issues with the freezer. However, the plastic shelves are pretty much all broken as well as the plastic drawers. I called the company on two occasions to complain about this and once again I felt that the phone staff were very rude. I told them that all the shelves were broken so they sent me one shelf. Doesnt do me much good as they are all broken and some of the support for the shelves to sit on are also broken. I would never, ever, ever purchase a LG product again. Their support staff not very polite or helpful and the product is horrible.

Service men tried to tell us that it was just new, then to use vinegar and open the door when finishing a load. It still smells and we are so sorry we bought the three LG products. Fridge, washer and dishwasher. On the cup I rubbed my thumb and you can see how easy the stain comes off. The bowl needed a little more effort, but it cant clean fresh chocolate pudding from a dish. The washer has a gap where it makes the cloths move that is too big and coins get caught and rips the cloths.

LG is one of my favorite brands. Thus far, Ive had no issues with it. LG has got to be one of the most innovative brands regarding household appliances. I just liked the refrigerator best. The way it was displayed at Best Buy was very appealing. The style, its features, and how practical it came across. The customer service representatives at Best Buy were very convincing as to how convenient the latest LG refrigerator would be. And boy, were they right. Its very nice. Its interesting, efficient, and easy to use. But I would want the water filter to be cleaned more often. Otherwise, I have no issues with my refrigerator. The LG brand works really well. Purchased an LG Direct Drive washing machine model WT5001CW in 2011 from Sears. Seemed to be working well. Would get UE error for unbalanced loads now and then, and machine would stop. In 2013 we received a recall repair notice and as a good consumer scheduled the repair. Since then, the machine has not worked properly. We get UE message sometimes but typically at the 9 minute point in cycle, it goes into a continual refill/empty mode. We have to reposition clothing and try to get it to spin clothes but it rarely does. We end up having to cancel the cycle and re-program a spin only cycle. Sometimes this resolves the issue but most of the time doesnt. I called LG today to let them know what is happening and got nowhere. The rep said I am out of warranty date. I explained this has been happening since recall fix but it didnt matter. He offered to schedule a repair but it would cost a minimum of $200. Basically, a 4 y/o super expensive ($900) washer is defective due to their repair.

I would give zero stars if I could. We bought all LG kitchen appliances less than 3 years ago. The oven and microwave are terrible. We are on our second microwave with them. I rarely use the microwave and while it was heating, it just shut off. It was most likely the circuit breaker and when that happens no reason to try to repair. We tried to buy another brand but we wanted to match and the sizes were off, so we spent another $300+ on an LG microwave and are crossing our fingers. The oven I never use because the temp is off. Its too hot and I either undercook or burn everything. Ive even tried thermometers something is off. My old oven and microwave (not LG) lasted over 10 years and I had no complaints, none! Again promise I would hear from them. This has gone on mind you since July, 27th 2020. Not getting anything done. I paid $100 for a service call. Was told there is a leak in the Freon line and maybe a fan problem. So again I call the 800 number. Was told I would get a email to send the proof of purchase. What they know I have it. He said he would have to re-order the correct one and the soonest he can come back is in 2 weeks 7/25/19. The whole experience has been exhausting and miserable for my family of 7! It is mind blowing that LG would continue to sell these refrigerators. I personally thought I was in this hell alone. April 1, 2016 I purchased an LG French Door Refrigerator from Topline Appliance with 5 yr extended warranty from New Leaf Svc Contractors. Within the first 2 yrs, the compressor died and we lost all our food. The Warranty co only replaced up to $200 for our food loss. The compressor was replaced and the refrigerator worked fine for a while. In Jan 2021 the display stopped working on the door panel. Contacted LG and together we got it working. On 2/19/21 the ice maker stopped working. After multiple attempts to troubleshoot via the manual, and with LG representative, I contacted Topline, they put me in touch with the warranty co for repair. I finally heard back from them on 2/25/21. The repairman, ED came out on 3/3/21 didnt have the right parts to fix it, so order multiple parts to be delivered. He came back a 2nd time on 3/11/21 and replaced the computer board along with other parts and it still didnt fix the ice maker. He put in a request for a replacement door or replacement refrigerator. I was told the door was on back order and should be delivered by 4/4/21. Never heard from anyone and the door never came. On 4/12/21 I called New Leaf because the display stopped working. Several troubleshooting attempts failed. On 4/27/21 Jordy at New Leaf stated it door could take up to 12 wks and that it would take care of the issue with the display as well. He told me he would contact LG & call me back, never got a response back. Multiple attempts to contact New Leaf (Jordy) & LG regarding the status of the door were ignored again. 5/7/21 after multiple holds, I finally spoke to Jessica, supervisor with New Leaf. She told me her hands are tied because the door cant be outsourced & has to be specially made by LG directly. She put me on hold while she contacted LG to get further information regarding the status of the door. After many inconsistencies with LG, she said she would look into it further and get back to me. Here it is 5/17/21 and still no word from LG or New Leaf. I blame LG & New Leaf for poor customer service as well as a product that does not live up to its supposed 20 yr life span or price tag of $2500. If I dont get a response from them or receive the door by 6/3/21, My next step will be the media & my attorney. I DO NOT recommend LG French Door Refrigerator! I do however, love the black stainless, and the large capacity it holds.

We had to call LG back to reschedule another repair order and the repairman was dispatched again on 10/18/16. They ordered 2 parts for the refrigerator, a dispenser ice door and a dispenser motor. The motor was shipped, but the ice door was not available at the time. We waited a couple of weeks and had not heard back from LG so we called them again and told them the work had not been completed due to not having the parts requested. They told us they would reissue another work order. We were expecting the same company to come back out but several days later a different company called to schedule an appointment and they came out on 11/25/16 and determined that they needed to replace the left door. The door was ordered and they came back out on 12/7/16 to do the warranty work.Around the end of December during the Christmas holiday the ice maker started acting up again and due to the holiday activities we held off calling LG until after the first of the year. During the 1st week of January we noticed that ice was starting to form on food in the refrigerator so we called LG again and told them that the ice maker was still not working properly and that there was another issue with food freezing in the refrigerator. We were told to adjust the temperature up in the refrigerator a little to avoid freezing and that someone would be dispatched for the ice maker again. We were getting frustrated at this point and requested that we get a replacement, however we were told that was not an option and that they needed to try to repair not replace the appliance. Each time we had to call there was a 3-5 day period of time to schedule the appointment and then another 3-5 days if parts were ordered, but this particular time we had not heard from a repairman for almost 2 weeks so we called the repair company to see if a work order had been scheduled and they told me that it had not. We called LG again to find out what the holdup was and we were informed that no work order had been scheduled and they would issue one, but it would take another 3-5 days to get it scheduled. I let them know that the refrigerator was not working at all and we lost all the food in our refrigerator due to freezing, including the new water filter that we just installed. LG did send me 2 new water filters to replace the cracked one. On February 3, 2017 we received a call from the 3rd different appliance repair company to come out and look at the refrigerator. When he arrived I told him all the issues we had been having and he determined that it needed a new main board to fix the issue of the temperature in the refrigerator and noted that the sensor was not replaceable. He did not look at the ice maker and said all ice makers have issues with ice freezing together and that I should just periodically open the ice door and shake the tray. He came back out on February 8, 2017 and installed the main board and informed me that if this didnt fix the problem not to call him again because he would not know what else to do. We set a bowl of water in the refrigerator just to check it out and it was frozen in the morning so I called LG again and was told they would schedule another repair order. Once again I asked if they could just give us a replacement instead of trying to fix this appliance as I had no confidence that this appliance would ever be fixed and that I had no intentions of paying for service calls after my warranty expired in about 5 months. Once again I was informed that this was not an option and that they needed to get the repairman on the phone with their field technicians to solve the problem. On February 14, 2017 the 4th different repairman was sent to look at our refrigerator. This time they took the refrigerator apart and at first told me that he felt like it could not be fixed. He said that the damper was staying open allowing the freezer air to reach the refrigerator, but he called LGs Field Support and they supposedly walked him through it and thought that it had fixed the problem. At this point he could not check the ice maker issue since we could not get any water to the door because of the frozen water lines. When he left I put another bowl of water in the refrigerator and several hours later noticed that ice was starting to form in the bowl and that now the refrigerator was showing an error message of F5 on the door. I went online to chat with LG about what the error message was and I was informed that it meant that the freezer sensor was bad and would need repair service. I immediately called LG again and told them that I wanted a refund or a replacement and was put off again. The supervisor told me that if I would hold on she would contact the repairman. When she came back online with me she told me that the repairman couldnt find anything wrong with my unit, we called her out on this and said, One of you is lying to us, because he was here for about 3 hours and thoroughly discussed all the issues he saw. Then she said that he didnt find anything that needed parts replaced and that she had dispatched him to come back out first thing in the morning of the 15th to address the error message. I was expecting a call the next day, but never received one so I called the repairman myself and he told me that he had not been dispatched yet. He asked me if I wanted him to come by to look at it and I told him with all the issues that weve had with LG that without a work order not to come.I called LG back and told them once again that a work order that was supposed to have been issued was not and that I was not interested in any more service calls and that I wanted a replacement. I was once again told that it wasnt an option so I informed the supervisor that their warranty said repair or replace and that after 8 service calls and fooling around with this issue since September that I felt like we had given LG ample opportunity to repair our refrigerator. I closed our conversation by letting her know that if they were not going to replace the refrigerator that I would seek resolution through the court system. On 2/15/17 I spoke with an executive supervisor at LG to let them know that I had filed the suit because I had not received any satisfaction from LGs Customer Service Department. She sent me a link so I could send her a copy of my receipt which I did thinking that maybe she would take care of replacing the appliance and I would drop the lawsuit, however we have had no further communications to this point.

We are doing a kitchen remodel, I purchased an LG refrigerator (dented), oven, and microwave. The microwave also had a dent so J.C. Penney discounted it. We installed it and the door scrapes horribly when it opens and closes. We called J.C. Penney whose automated service directed us to LG tech support, after about 1.5 hrs phone time they set a service call. The service tech arrived and determined the unit was irreparable, structural damage. I called LG for follow up, the operator couldnt figure out the notes, I had him read them back to me and stopped him where it stated, not repairable. I had to send pictures and a copy of the receipt that were already sent by the repair tech. After multiple hours on the phone I finally got a CNN number For a defective return. They said they will call me to arrange delivery.A week goes by and nothing. I called back and spoke with Alexander, he re-reviewed, Sorry, nothing we can do. I escalated to his supervisor, Willie who made it clear that I was bothering him and stated, I will not cover anything on this unit, go back to J.C. Penney. Now the unit is not heating correctly, waiting for the repair tech again. What a BAD!, experience. I will NEVER! buy another LG product.

If I could I would have NO STAR - We’ve had nothing but bad luck with our LG appliances- first of all our dishwasher -the control panel went haywire 5 months after we got it- well that happened 2 more times since. When we built our home we also bought an LG gas range, refrigerator and microwave. So last year we went to Alaska and when we came home in August the stove control panel also had gone haywire. You cannot properly read the numbers that tell you the temperature/time so when you set the temperature you have no idea what youre setting it to. Called LG and after hours on the phone with them to get it repaired they did NOTHING. Our cost to find out by the repairman (we paid for) that to fix it we would spend more than what a new oven would cost. It is barely over a year old and possibly failed prior to being a year old! 2 days ago we woke up to our LG French door refrigerator inside as warm as our room temperature and everything inside ruined. It is just barely 2 years old! Called LG for repairs- ended up having to get our own repair guy, and it has a bad compressor, won’t read codes, and needs a new control board. The repairman said it’s an extensive repair and could possibly fail again easily (read class action law suit on them). Called LG back and now we have to wait to hear from Service Power to see if anyone can fix it. They offered NOTHING for the loss of food but would send us up to $200 for a mini fridge- and he’d send us an email for doing so- still waiting for that. These appliances cost thousands of dollars! Buyer Beware!!! They are junk!

I placed calls to LG to arrange for my 3 year old refrigerator to have a new compressor installed. I had a local company confirm this was the reason for the breakdown. The first call at the beginning of the year did not ever end up with a response or resolution (someone was supposed to contact me). I waited several months and contacted LG again. The support desk had me upload all of my warranty information to their site through a provided link. Again, I was assured that someone would contact me to arrange this repair within a short period of time. Again, this did not ever occur.Today, almost a year later, I have purchased a new appliance because keeping my food in a cooler for 10 months was not an option. I have posted the fridge for scrap on Kijiji and a local person responded within an hour to remove it from my home. Too bad that LG couldnt have responded as efficiently. A lot of wasted money in both purchase price and time trying to resolve/arrange the warranty. My questions are these. How is it that a manufacturer is not held accountable for failure to provide what they are legally responsible for? What recourse is there when this process fails? At what point does one give up because they have spent hours and hours trying to get the warranty service? Like many Canadians, I am a working individual and dont have endless hours to dedicate to continued follow-up. Appliances are expensive purchases yet there seems to be no process where the companies are made responsible for providing the warranty coverage they espouse. My hope is that this changes in the future.

LG REFRIGERATOR AND ICE MAKER has been one of the worst experiences of my 63 years. It looks nice but try getting anything fixed or working period. After having a repair man out to troubleshoot the problem the LG company refused my repairman any help or input at all as he was not an LG licensed repairman. We live in Montana and the closest LG place was 3 hours away. That LG company repairman said if we would hall it to Bozeman they would look at it. My repairman has an excellent reputation and works on every other brand and an Appliance Repair Business. He now refuses work on anything LG as he has had NO luck getting any assistance from LG or their repairmen. Nor have I, as an LG Customer. Two weeks after replacing the ice maker, which never worked again, the refrigerator went completely out. BE SURE TO LOOK ONLINE AT ALL THE LAWSUITS AND HUNDREDS OF CUSTOMERS STORIES OF THE SAME TROUBLES AND WORSE!!!! Be warned!!!

Put food in microwave, pressed the EZ ON BUTTON which will heat food for 30 seconds. The microwave started for about 1 second and then immediately just died. After about a minute it powered on was asking for the clock setting. It acted like it does when the power goes out. This microwave did this one time yesterday also. I entered and set the clock time and then input 1 minute time and, almost as soon as I pressed the start button, the microwave died again only this time it did not revive. It appears to be completely dead and is only about 16 months old (purchased October 2014). This is the first LG appliance I have ever owned and likely will be the last. I paid good money for this appliance and wish I hadnt thrown out the old one. It was rusted some inside but had been working for almost 20 years!! This stainless microwave model number(s) listed on instruction booklet: LCRT2010ST, LSRM2010ST. So very disappointed. Made in China. Maybe thats why.

We have purchased an LG dishwasher about 3 years ago and have nothing but issues with it. In the first year the main board had to be replaced because it had just stopped working after hearing a humming noise coming from the motor. Since then we can not use the normal cycle since an error E1 comes up. Also in that cycle it will continue to pump out the water even if it is empty. So we are using the power scrub cycle since we use it everyday sometimes twice a day. The problem we are dealing with now is that we have to fill it during the cycle because it just does not fill with enough water. You will know when it sounds like it is grinding up debris inside. After filling it runs quietly. If we dont fill it the dishes come out dirty. The weird thing is it will not show the error E1 at all. It will continue to run till the end. We bought this dishwasher on sale and thought we were getting a very good deal. Now we know why we only paid $400.00 for this. We will not buy another LG dishwasher in the future after our experience with it and reading the other complaints from others.

It was sold to me at a good price point for the features that it has. The store employee also recommended this refrigerator to me. It has met all of my expectations since purchasing it. Built in ice maker, sleek black color, water filter system, doors open outward, pretty big freezer. It keeps my food from spoiling. Would make the freezer larger, because I like to freeze a lot of food. Also have it come in even more color options. They could off a better service warranty and make the installation process even better.

I bought an LG washer/Dryer July this year (2015). The water pump sprang a leak. Went online and submitted for repair. Got a local appliance place to fix it. Talked to rep from local shop, said they couldnt get LG parts to answer or return call for 2 days. At this point I havent had a washing machine for 6 days. I called LG rep to contact local rep and get this taken care of. If LG does get it shipped by tomorrow, Friday fall on a holiday. Local dealer wont get the part until next Monday the 4th of Jan. 2016. This will be going on 2 weeks without a washer. This is unreasonable to me. I went with an LG product because of the Quality and support that I havent received as of yet. I would hope that a senior representative would read this. Unsatisfied Customer!

LG is not a brand I would recommend to anyone. After being on hold for quite some time and passed to 4 different departments, all by accident, when all I want is help with a washer issue that is a known issue. Apparently the unit we purchased, a top loader inverter has issues with drainage after a short period of time. The washer is unbearably smelly. Water seems to stay in the plastic tub instead of draining. After going thru the manual and reading all the complaints online after the fact, we have not found a solution for a practically new washer. Oh, and our purchase records are apparently lost. So of course their only solution is to contact service and pay to have their known issue fixed. I will never purchase LG again. Have not had issues with other vendors like I have had with this one. If anyone has seen this issue and corrected, I would love to hear your solution.

Updated on 04/01/2020: Please, would someone contact me from LG? You sent a very nice repairman in February. He said the dishwasher was not level, so he leveled it. Now, we set it to wash a load, it plays music after about 3 minutes and shuts off. We set it again, the same thing. We set it again and it may or may not continue washing. We set it TWICE last night before retiring and this morning, its filthy. 1- when I reported this problem after repair, no response. 2 - The dishwasher pods are pricey to begin with but more expensive when loads have to be rewashed. Would you please arrange a repairman appointment? PLEASE!Original review: We are in the home building business, so its not as if we purchase appliances every 25 years. LG has left us extremely disappointed. Dishwasher: 3 hours 45 minutes for a wash cycle??? The standard cycle fails to do a decent job unless its half empty and even then we end up washing by hand. If it didnt cost us an arm and leg Id bash the front it and throw it on the curb.Fridge: The drawers consist of plastic high & lows. Liquids & crumbs get stuck and no way to get out. Embarrassing to the point that we cringe when anyone outside the family open the doors. Ice maker is pathetic, makes about 1/2 quart of ice. Range: The vents face the burners so when the oven is on and we have pots or pans on the burners cooking, the head from oven hits the pots. So hot that a couple hands have been burned. Had to purchase the silicon half mitts to keep on the handles to avoid injury. My mothers old Whirlpools are so much better. Not only a disappointment but we feel we wasted a few thousand dollars. :-(

Purchased an LG gas dryer about 3 years ago to upgrade and be more energy efficient. My old dryer was 15 years old but worked just fine. Two days ago the LG dryer started to make a loud thumping sound. Upon further investigating I found a crack in the drum. I called the LG people and they said the drum has a 1 year warranty. My 15 year old dryer never had a crack. So needless to say I am not too happy about spending more money to repair their poorly made product. The person that I spoke with on the phone said that this was the first complaint about a cracked dryer drum. I think I must have been his first call ever because I can find plenty of complaints on the internet about this issue.

I purchased the LG WM0642H from Home Depot on Feb. 12, 2007. We were told it was the best and most efficient energy and water saving machine. It has left the towels dirty and musty/moldy odor. The towels can only be used one time and they have to be washed again. I use all the right HE products. I quit using liquid Downy, thinking that was the cause of the build up.I use the washer cleaner that Tide makes and it does no good. All these products just cost more to operate the machine. We have the vibration in the adjoining rooms that shake the walls, during the spin cycle. We paid for an extended warranty that ended 2010, but when I had them out during that time, they couldnt find any problems. They just reprimanded me to use the HE products; although that is all I use.Truly, when is this product going to be taken off the market and the truth be told? I will certainly use the word of mouth to all that will listen. This is a blight on America to sell something this inferior. The next machine I buy will be the tried and true top loading with plenty of water and it will surely clean the clothes.

We purchased this refrigerator from Home Depot in April of 2016. One year in, we started to hear a loud rattling sound. The repairman said it was build up of ice around the fan. Fan had to be replaced and fridge defrosted and told me to keep all the seals maintained with vaseline to keep it from happening again. Now, another year later, the unit has stopped cooling. All the food in the freezer had defrosted and fridge was warm. LGs website listed two service companies in our area. First one doesnt do fridges anymore. Second one had terrible reviews so I didnt call them. Had the same repairman come out that did the fan and he says the compressor has failed. This really needs to be a class action suit against LG... So many people have the same issues and we paid close to $4000 for this refrigerator.

I called the LG 1-800-243-0000 number and was told there would be a $75 service charge plus parts and labor. I purchased my Window A/C unit on 9/14/09. I cannot put my energy saver on mode as the unit freezes over, then I have to turn it off, all the water runs in the floor when it defrosted and I have to mop all the water up. When I called that number, your rep tech told me I needed to run the A/C on 82 degrees. Well if that is the case, no need for A/C as some nights it is 82 degrees here. He was very rude, told me I needed to clean my filter every week, and I clean it every three months. He also told me my unit did not have energy saver and I was standing in front of my A/C reading all the functions with all the controls on it. He had no clue what I was talking about. I will never buy another LG product as long as I live. It was the worst conversation I had ever had with a rep. He did not know what he was talking about. He was rude and disrespectful. I called on July 26, 2011, around 8 or 8:15 p.m. I am very dissatisfied and I will tell my friends that LG has the most unsatisfactory service that I have been exposed to! I will further seek and find a name brand that will stand behind their product, and have faith in their warranty.

It is a very good fridge overall and has all the qualities you need in a fridge but it needs to be made more durable and easier to fix when things break. Cause my ice machine doesnt work. I would have made it easier to clean, more user friendly, make it less loud when it beeps when you leave the door open. Also, the handle to the freezer broke, so I would made that more durable.

We purchased the LPXS30866D Refrigerator as part of a complete set from Costco when we were remodeling a home. The refrigerator is just 4 years old when we woke up one morning to have everything thawed. We were told the compressor went out and to set up a repair through LG Support. We did that and were told we would be contacted in 3 to 5 days. A few days went by and we hadnt heard anything so I called again, they said I should hear something in a few days. Once again when I didnt get any calls I called again and was told my first submission was cancelled! So, I had to start the whole process again with waiting the 3 to 5 days just to hear from someone to even schedule and appointment. Finally got an appointment scheduled for the repair but when the day of the appointment came the LG liaison showed up but the repairman did not. The LG liaison apologized and told us he would get back with us on another date. 10 days later we were scheduled again for the repair this time both showed up BUT, then the repairman realized what the repair was and he refused to do it and left! The LG liaison doesnt actually work for LG and had been very nice. He said his boss would be calling us but later in the day when we hadnt heard from him we texted him. He told us he totally apologized and understood our frustration. He said his best suggestion is for us to contact LG!!! So were back to square one! Its been 4 weeks without a refrigerator and were beyond frustrated. There is a serious problem with LG repair services!

My LG refrigerator LRFC 25750ST - The door latch at the top is connected by a very thin black plastic. It broke in both doors, and the doors do not remain closed properly. I called their 1888 542 2623 customer service for LG in Canada. I was on hold for 40 minutes and no result. I called direct new number 647-253-6300. I got reception first time. She said she will connect to some higher-up in customer service. Same recording - no one picked up. Funny thing, when I called them again, it would go to the recording again. Their product and service are both horrible. I would not buy LG again.

I just spent 1 hr and 15 minutes on the phone so LG can diagnose my brand new dishwasher--used 3 times! This piece of garbage leaves dishes filthy!!! I heard every stupid excuse why this piece of garbage wont clean. This one is good---we dont have enough water pressure--even though the machine controls the force of the jets via its internal jets. In fact, LG boasts of their Direct Drive pumps/motor that supposed to clean so well! It has nothing to do with water pressure because the unit is filled before the wash cycle starts!!! After all the attempts to diagnose the problem via my smartphone, nothing worked. I told them to just get a service repair person out. I was told that if this is the normal operation of your unit, it wont be covered under their warranty and will be charged!!! This LG dishwasher is a piece of garbage, as is their so-called customer service. DO NOT PURCHASE LG!!!
