Well my washer (LG wt5001cw) started making a grinding and whining noise after owning if for 2 and half years and come to find out my repairman tells me it cant be fixed and its time for a new one. Really it is not fixable? So if your washer has these issues and its this model number good luck. I also have emailed LG a letter and let them know I wont be spending anymore of my hard earned money on their products. At least they dont make any life saving devices I hope. Please do not buy their products. My repairman said that this is common with their products and they are only made to last about 3 years. He sees it everyday.

The machine was bought from best buy, around July 2013, everything was working fine until 11/18/2013 when it started to leak from the bottom of the machine, there was no error code, it just kept filling up with water and leaking out, at the bottom. It continued to leak even after turning the machine off it was a mess it I hope it hasnt ruined my floor, called LG they thought it might be the sensors coated with detergent scum. So suggested I run vinegar through machine…We did, it did not solve the problem. We called best buy who sent out a repair person within the hour. He discovered after removing the back panel that the little clear hose that is connected to the tub and connects to a small drain tip that is connected to in the back of the machine had be pulled loose. The hose did not have a lot of give, so when the basket rotated it pulled it off. He gave it a little more slack, and it seems to be holding but we will see what happens… All in all, the machine has been working beautifully. I do not use any detergent on my clothes and they always come out clean and smelling clean. So when they say you need very little detergent I can see why. We also bought the matching dryer which is also fantastic…I called LG and let them know what Best buy found so they could notate, and make some changes. I will keep you updated on any other glitches.

One of the dangerous times was when I woke up in the middle of the night smelling gas. The knob on the stove for the burner had turned on slightly without my knowledge. The whole house was filled with gas. This happens frequently but I am normally aware of it when it happens. Any time I lean against the stove or I am trying to clean it, the knobs turn on. This would be EXTREMELY DANGEROUS WITH PETS OR SMALL CHILDREN.

LG French Door Refrigerator LFX31925ST - Lifes not Good - Lucky Goldstar. I purchased an LG French Door Refrigerator LFX31925ST in Oct 2014. Immediately after it was delivered, the control board had to be replaced (under warranty). Shortly after the 1-year warranty expired, the unit started making a loud propeller-type noise and stopped cooling on a Friday afternoon. We had to cook the food that was thawing from freezer and throw out a lot of food from fridge. We had a bout of food poisoning from refrigerated food that apparently had spoiled, so we threw it all out. After 9 days without a refrigerator and living out of an ice chest, the unit was repaired. The one year warranty had expired however the 10-year warranty on the compressor was still valid. Only one issue, the 10-year warranty on the compressor covers the compressor part only, not the labor or coolant. So the compressor, which has a $130 cost per the tech, cost me over $250 in labor and coolant. Now, less than 90 days later, the fridge started sounding like a turboprop airplane that we cant even watch TV on the same floor. This is the same symptoms as before and after spending 30 min on the phone with LG customer service rep Carl, in the Philippines, who asked if I approved to accept charge up to $200 for service call. Are you kidding me?!? I have an appointment with service tech this week which will hopefully cover the repair under warranty. No more LG for me, ever. They are still Lucky Goldstar to me and still operate like the same company that manufactured Lucky Goldstar branded microwaves for Walmart not long ago. Anything but LG. Never again.

My LG French door side by side icemaker has quit several times. We have turned it off for a few days and turned it back on. Sometimes, it works again for a week or two then it quits making ice. It will still distill water but no ice. I paid a lot of money for this fridge and now I see a lot of icemaker problems. They should recall their products. We are still paying for this from Home Depot. Also, water filters cost $50 and are only available from selected stores!

My wife had put on a fairly average load of laundry into our LG Washer (approx 3.5 years old) on Saturday, November 22, 2014. My wife and I had to drop off our special-needs son at his group home, and we had to run to the grocery store. My other son had errands, so he too had left the house. Upon returning from his errands (approx. one hour after we had left), my son tried to enter the laundry room via the garage entrance. He was unable to get past the door opening, as the washing machine was found in the middle of the walkway of the laundry room, water covered the floor, and holes were present in two adjacent walls. After entering the house through the front door, my son only made it to the middle of the hallway before he noticed the carpet was soaking wet. He proceeded to find the hall bathroom as well as entryway and closets of the bedrooms to be soaked with water with some rooms worse than others. The washing machine at roughly 90 degrees off from where it should be. The sides and back of the washer were pushed out and plastic washing machine parts were strewn across the laundry room floor and hallway (up to almost 12 ft. away at entrance to master bedroom). Whatever occurred, it had to have been a violent shaking with an explosion of parts as it produced holes in walls, denting of the drier, and water to flood multiple rooms. My concern is this could have occurred while we were present in the home and near the laundry room. This is particularly concerning as, prior to leaving, my special-needs son had had spent the night with us, and he was previously in the bedrooms and hallway adjacent the laundry room while the machine was running. This should be a concern for anyone who owns an LG washer or any other washing machine that is capable of such destruction. At this point, the damage to the house and appliances has been approximated to at least $6,000. It is possible the number will increase, should the carpet have to be replaced in multiple rooms. The washing machine has been without any known mechanical issues, since we purchased it from Sears (approx 3.5 years ago). This is the first time we have had any incident with the machine, let alone something of such significance.

I have a lovely 3 door refrigerator that was purchased in 2007. At the 13 month mark, I started having trouble with an irritating beeping sound that let me know the door was not closed completely. After checking to make certain the doors were not blocked and completely closed, I continued to hear the alarm. Service engineer called, replaced the sensor. Sound gone. This has repeatedly occurred time and time again over the past 7 years. Its actually beeping right now. I have even purchased a home warranty primarily for this issue. 2 different service engineers complained about the LG refrigerator. I will never purchase another LG refrigerator.

With normal household usage, our LG washing machine began to crack and break on some of the plastic surrounds. Also the hinge on the lid broke. I was asked to provide photos which I did. I made inquiries of several washing machine repairers and the consensus is that a lot of washing machines with plastic hinges do break. I feel LG has some responsibility in the poor quality goods. LG replied to my email for assistance: Hi there, I have spoken to management, they have advised there is no warranty cover for this damage. Should not a warranty cover any poor quality materials used?

Im a professional mechanic and electronics tech. I just had to replace a relay and two corroded microswitches due to poor design of the icemaker hatch. Weak return springs prevent a tight seal when not in use, allowing moisture from ice melt to drip down past the hatch and, as evidenced by mineral scale, into the chamber containing the relay board, front panel control board, and the in-door ice and water lever microswitches (!). Observed heavy corrosion on electronic parts and fasteners inside, as well as around the front seal where it meets the metallic enclosure. The front seal, intended to prevent moisture intrusion from the exterior of the unit, instead prevents moisture introduced by the ice chute from escaping the chamber. This oversight exposes control boards and electronic parts and connectors to sustained high-humidity environment (!). Control boards inside are not potted (no resin/silicone/thermoplastic encapsulation) and there are no rubber seals on electrical connectors contained within. ICs, pads, and components on the front panel control board show corrosion and, in my opinion, are not long for the world. Ive added a desiccant pack inside the chamber and a bead of silicone sealant under the defective icemaker hatch behind the front bezel to mitigate the design oversight and hopefully extend the life of my investment. Rust at the bottom of the front control panel may be an indicator of the problem described above on your unit.Additionally, the linear compressor used in this fridge is currently the focus of a class action lawsuit (which I am not party to). LG asserted that these units can have up to a 20 year lifespan (avg of 14 years) but have had a significant portion of units fail starting around the 3-year mark. My compressor is still functioning for now but Ive purchased a 3rd party wireless temperature monitoring panel with sensors for both compartments to mitigate the risk of foodborne illness associated with a failing compressor. This appliance is at best, a very poor investment. At worst, it is a hazard to my wife and children. Moisture intrusion behind the front panel presents a reliability problem, a mold hazard, and a fire hazard due to the line voltage connections within. The poor design choices make it clear that the engineers involved with the project had some serious deficiencies in failure mode analysis, fail-safe design, and keeping with good engineering principals. Ive experienced similar design oversights involving moisture control with other LG products Ive owned and maintained (LG window unit AC, LG Waveforce washer and dryer) and will never purchase another LG appliance. Longevity is important to me, but does not seem to be a priority for LG. My wife thinks it looks pretty in our kitchen, so theres that I suppose. Hopefully the compressor fails and I can get this stylish lemon out of here soon..

We bought a very expensive LG washer - dryer for our second home in London. Worked well even though perhaps only used 20 hours a year!!! Now after 7 years it did not dry anymore. We called out for servicing AND LG direct, paid 80 GBP to the servicing company only to receive the message, that spare parts are no longer available. LG answered, We would, sorry to say, throw the machine away and buy a new one. Result: Never LG again, throwing a complete nearly new machine away, is this green policy???

From day 1, my machine leaked. I called and was told it was due to using too much detergent. I thought that may be the problem and used below the normal line every cycle. Still sporadically, there are leaks below the machine. As I called and was told over and over again, my machine is fine. I let my machine go out of warranty. Now beyond leaking, it stops mid-cycle often so I have to sit next to the machine while washing clothes to restart it and finish cycles. Beyond that, sometimes it gets stuck at 9 minutes left and starts spinning and stops spinning over and over again. Beyond that, when it is filling up, the valves close so quickly it causes all the pipes in my house to shake and bang causing leaks in pipes. Something needs to be done about this. LG should stand behind their product.

I hate LG, worse company to deal with when you need customer service or system repair. 69 days and still no resolution on my $2,900 refrigerator. After 1.5 years the unit quit working, after 50 phone calls and several attempts to fix their unit I still have no solution. They suck, they don’t care about the customer, they keep escalating my case and each time it takes 3-10 days to get an answer. They say they will contact me and they never do, I have to call them 3 times a week to keep things moving.Missing time from work to be home for repair people, they made a mess in my house. Open the system under pressure and sprayed refrigerant oil vapor in my kitchen and dining room… They don’t care about the customer at all… Keep apologizing on the phone, yet their action reflects zero effort to correct their defective unit. All the local LG service companies refused to work on their product, Technicians told me they can’t fix it and they will not touch an LG refrigerator sealed system. I have to say it’s the worse customer service experience of my life, I am so mad… Who can live for over two months without a refrigerator?

Redid my kitchen and went to BrandsMart and bought a complete LG kitchen package, Worst quality product ever. After about 2 or 3 months the fan stops working so we call Brandsmart. Worst customer service ever. They should be ashamed, the guy came out and didnt even have the proper equipment with him to de-ice the fan. My husband had to loan him the equipment. P.S. it works for about 6 months then stops working again so we call Brandsmart again. The guy comes out and resets the refrigerator by unplugging it and plugging it back it, of course that didnt work.I call LG who sends out their own technician who said it was the motherboard. That gets replaced, only to work another 2 months. Now they are replacing the compressor and the two evaporators. I am out of manufacture warranty but LG is covering the labor cost but are giving me a hard time. I requested a new refrigerator and a refund and who knows if that is going to happen. This whole process has been like pulling teeth, I have also been without a refrigerator twice, for 3 weeks each time. They are also giving me a one time food loss credit. Dont know how much, but I think a class action lawsuit is in order, the anxiety and stress dealing with the stupid techs and the customer service is too much. I dont think I can do this a 5th time. The refrigerator is only one year old now.

This problem dates back to April 2019. My 1 yr old LG Refrigerator stopped working so I called LG and they dispatched a Tech from A&E repair (Sears). The tech told me it was compressor and evaporator and would be about 1000 to fix. I told him I would contact LG as it should be under warranty. So he charge me 119 dollars and left. I called LG. They said it was in fact under warranty and shouldnt have been charged. They dispatched the same repair people 1 weeks later. So it now been 2wks. with no Refrigerator. Repair guy came and had to order the parts (why couldn’t he see the first guys diagnostic).2 more weeks without Refrigerator. Guy showed up and fixed the problem. Fast forward to July 15th 2019 dead refrigerator again, So I called LG. They assured me this would be fixed in a timely manner! Well they promised by the 31st and A&E confirmed it but to no avail, A&E rescheduled it for the 9th of AUG. Well after hours on phone they said they will come here on the 7th which is today. The guy shows up and looks at it, takes the back off and says we have more issues not just the compressor but the evaporator and he will need to order parts. So now it’s been 3 weeks and he can’t be back here until the 26th.We have been living out of ice chest to keep our food cold. We are a family of 4 so wasting a lot of time and money for ice, I am a heart patient and need to eat a certain way, so I can’t rely on fast food. This has been a complete nightmare. I spent over 2000 dollars on a product I thought was quality. On another note I purchased a LG 60 inch TV and it died 14 months later just out of warranty--1000 dollars down the drain. So much for Lifes Good.

I Jaiprakash ** had purchased two product from LG Shoppe situated at Mira Road East, franchise of Malaika Electronic at Sector 1, Shanti Nagar, Mira Road East, Thane. In January, 15, 2015 had purchased three door refrigerator and the complaint is still pending. The reason the LG mira road service centre is ruthless and useless and just want to mint money from the customer by delaying to give service during warranty period and once the warranty period is over, they are free to mint money from the customer. The deep freezer is getting choked with ice and we could see the ice growing like mountain at middle of the deep freezer. The complaint falls to deaf ear and the mail falls to blind eye. No response from the LG service centre, cause they are just waiting when the one year expiry is getting over and when we can mint money.Secondly had purchased LG 10.5 kg washing machine and the dryer is giving problem. The clothes are not fully dried as compared to other brand and the customer service provider informs saying thoda to gila rahega, then how come other brand machine resolves the problem fully and the clothes are dried fully. Not ready to listen about other brand product. Cause it hurts their ego. Almost wasted 67000/- and feel I have been cheated by giving a defective item both end. and the worst part after messaging the senior guy ASM ** he too acts as deaf and blind. So one can understand how junior will react to the customer. Seriously upset with the product and wasted my hard earned money. Dont know whether I have purchased a LG product or a LOW Grade Product. Will NEVER, ever buy any LG product ever AGAIN. LG stands for Lousy Garbage. Bought it from Sears 2 years ago with a 5 year extended warranty. Broke down 2 years to the day from when I took delivery. There were ongoing problems with UE (Unbalanced Load) errors. Loads took 2-plus hours to run and fabric was left coated with soap. Parts required for the repair were not available and then a part was back-ordered from the manufacturer. The repair is going to be a 2 man job. Sears couldnt do anything because it was extended warranty even though the repairman showed up in a Sears truck. I demanded a replacement washer and was told only the technician can authorize it. They refused to give me contact information for the technician. Nothing but platitudes and the runaround from Customer Dis-service.Total time without a working LG washer: 5 weeks. Unacceptable. Bought a Huebsch Commercial washer. Loads are done with 2 rinses in 35 minutes. It cost extra but this thing is built like a tank. Comes with a 15 year warranty on the transmission, 5 year warranty on the motor and 3 year total warranty. LG is only 1 year. This washer will probably be good for 20-25 years.

Two years ago, my wife and I purchased an LG 7957295 French Door refrigerator. Its now 2020 and the compressor is shot. Sears wants $1000 to repair it or will give me a %50 discount if I pay $50 ($600 per year) for an appliance (all) warranty. I could have purchased a $3000 refrigerator for that amount of money. I checked and sure enough the LGs are having problems with their linear compressors I am told. The reviews say it and the repairmen are saying it. Yet, LG continues to sell them. Last, we have had numerous problems with this refrigerator from the start, loud auger sound in back, dents if you look at it, fingerprint resistant is anything but. I am heading out to buy a new refrigerator since I dont want any more problems with this item.

It had a leaking Tromm front loader. This ruined my 180 sq. ft. of ash hardwood flooring costing approximately $2000.00. After the floor was replaced and a pan placed under the machine, I have noticed that it fills up about once a week. This leak is coming from the dispenser tray! I noticed water and soap residue on the inside of the front panel that had also caused the door hinge to start rusting. After closer inspection of the dispenser during operation, I can see water hitting the angled section of the tray and running over the side. LG said a repair tech would have to fix this, but without a newly designed part, it will just do the same thing again. This is not caused by too much soap as some might suggest because it does this with or without adding soap! The only solution I see is to buy another brand after spending over $1000.00 a year for a poorly designed product.

I have a LG Ft.Loader washer I bought from Sears around 2 years ago. Went to use it to wash clothes. When in the spin the washer makes a banging noise real loud.. turned it off. Called Sears to service it. They told me it would cost 250.00 dollars to come out and check it out plus parts if needed. I said no. Toomuch, just to check it out.. So I said the hell with it. I will buy a new one and not a LG. So I bought a Samsung top loader. So I will check out the old washer. I did. I found out what was wrong with it. I took the ft. cover off and the bottom right came off the tub. So found out what was wrong. The dummies that made this washer should have put washers on the bolts that hold the weights on. Its made like, you screw the bolt in this plastic thing that spreads open. In wear, it comes off. If they had used a washer on it, it would not done this. So I feel the washer is a piece of crap. Amazingly bad service with what is supposed to be a great appliance company
Amazingly bad service with what is supposed to be a great appliance company. My 6 year old French Door refrigerator wont dispense water. I performed all the troubleshooting by the book and via a text message from LG. Sat on the phone for 20 minutes waiting to speak to a live person after being told every minute that someone would be with me in four minutes. When the person came on the phone she knew nothing about the appliance side of the business. She took my zip code and put me back on hold to find me a service company. After a few minutes on hold, she came back and gave me four companies, one I had already called and they told me they do not repair LG because parts are too difficult to get. I called the other three. Spoke to one, has not repaired LG for two years because of parts issues. The other two called me back this morning. One will not come to my area and the other is too busy and too short staffed to service in my area. I live in Newark, DE!!! I cant believe the unacceptable level of service and uncaring responses I am getting from this company and its service network. Maybe it is time for a change.

The technician, Bryan ** called me about 15 minutes after the call to confirm our appointment the following morning and ask me about the problem so that he could ensure he had what he needed on the truck to make the repair. The next morning Bryan called when he was on his way to my house. He began working at 10AM and finished by just after 11AM. He would courteous and very competent in making the repair. It turned out to be a failed/faulty compressor which was replaced with a new one. Freezer has stopped working (three years old) and when technician opened it, the condenser and tubing was very badly corroded. When he touched a tube it collapsed and visible gas squirted out. This freezer is obviously not fit for the purpose for which it was sold and is an extremely poor reflection on LG quality.

The vibrations started almost at day one. So I leveled it again with a 4 level and still the walls vibrated (its a load bearing wall 2x12 floor joists 1-1/4 thick flooring). We did not know of the problem until my son came and mentioned that it shouldnt vibrate like this (he has an older model LG), so the calls to LG started and trying to get an in warranty repairman is like pulling your own teeth. So after losing 2 days pay and a third on the way, still there is no fix or reason why its vibrating. LG has said that after 3 attempts, they would either replace/or refund our cost. Well, its still ongoing. I will keep you informed.

I have had my LG Gas Range LDG4315ST for 3 months. The top oven undercooks and the bottom oven burns everything. The knobs on the front of the range can turn on just by walking past and bumping them. I have walked into my kitchen numerous time and smelled gas and found the knob turned just enough to let the gas escape. I have turned the burner on just buy reaching up to the cupboard over the range. This is an extremely dangerous appliance! If you have young children beware!! I have contacted LG 4 times and I am still waiting for them to set up a technician to come to my house. Would never, never buy another LG appliance. This range needs recalled. Do not buy it!

LG French Door Refrigerator Error Code ER FF - I unplug my refrigerator at least once a day for 3-4 hours to prevent error code from coming on. I would have it repaired except changing the fan is only a temporary repair. Changing the fan will cost a couple of hundred dollars. That repair will only last at best a few months. LG needs to solve the fan freezing problem for a permanent repair.

We purchased a counter-depth LG French Door unit from Lowes about 5 years ago with a 3-year service agreement. Because LG doesnt make as many counter depth compared to standard depth, it cost more (~$3000). Cosmetically and storage-wise, we were quite happy with it, but early in the first year we noticed that ice was building up behind the left bottom storage drawer. Lowes repairman replaced the entire rear fan/control unit, explaining that if we didnt have the service contract it would have cost us about $500.Unfortunately 2-more service calls by 2 different organizations were required in the first 3-years --- all for the same ice problem! We then purchased a 1-year extension for the service agreement because it was obvious that our $3000 fridge had a problem no one seemed to be able to fix. We were correct, because we had more ice in that year.Numerous calls and emails to LG and Lowes during these 5-years got us little more than asking for more and more details about previous repairs. They also referred us to someone to repair it. They all tried, replacing more pieces and parts. Finally, a few months ago when ice again recurred we spent $90 for another LG expert to review our issue. They told us LG had issued some sort of bulletin about this problem, and for another $500 for the part, plus labor, they could fix it. At this point we had already spent at least $750 and dozens of hours trying to fix a $3000 fridge and had no confidence anyone could repair it properly, so this afternoon our new Frigidaire will be installed and the LG hauled away; and Im writing this review. We purchased the LPXS30866D Refrigerator as part of a complete set from Costco when we were remodeling a home. The refrigerator is just 4 years old when we woke up one morning to have everything thawed. We were told the compressor went out and to set up a repair through LG Support. We did that and were told we would be contacted in 3 to 5 days. A few days went by and we hadnt heard anything so I called again, they said I should hear something in a few days. Once again when I didnt get any calls I called again and was told my first submission was cancelled! So, I had to start the whole process again with waiting the 3 to 5 days just to hear from someone to even schedule and appointment. Finally got an appointment scheduled for the repair but when the day of the appointment came the LG liaison showed up but the repairman did not. The LG liaison apologized and told us he would get back with us on another date. 10 days later we were scheduled again for the repair this time both showed up BUT, then the repairman realized what the repair was and he refused to do it and left! The LG liaison doesnt actually work for LG and had been very nice. He said his boss would be calling us but later in the day when we hadnt heard from him we texted him. He told us he totally apologized and understood our frustration. He said his best suggestion is for us to contact LG!!! So were back to square one! Its been 4 weeks without a refrigerator and were beyond frustrated. There is a serious problem with LG repair services!

My three-year-old LG front loader washer (WM2301HR) started making grinding noises as it slowly stopped tumbling and spinning. After pulling the back panel off, I discovered the splines in the rotor were worn smooth. This is a warranty part - 10 years. LG will only provide the part if I call an authorized LG tech to my house. $100 to show up, plus $60 per hour to replace a $70 part. Are you kidding LG? Never again. Never again.

I purchased a brand new LG refrigerator on 4/17/2017. On 8/20/2020 the unit stopped cooling. I contacted LG on 8/21/2020 and they confirmed the unit was under warranty and dispatched a local technician to come on 8/27/2020. Technician came as scheduled and basically said LG is known for making faulty compressors and he had about 40 other homes waiting for compressors. I followed up weekly but the parts were on backorder. On 9/11/2020 I received a call stating they could return to fix the unit on 9/17/2020. On 9/17/2020 technician arrived and stated the issue was not the compressor but the tank which holds the coolant. He said he should have the part in 2-3 days. After 5 days of not hearing from them I spoke to LG headquarters who confirmed the local technician did not know the issue so they dispatched a different local technician to arrive on 9/25/2020. The technician did not arrive on 9/25/2020 so I called LG HQ again and they stated the technician cancelled the appointment but did not know why I was not made known of this. They stated corporate approved a defective return number for my home also known as a DNR number but I had to call 888-412-8357 to follow-up. I called that number and waited 2 hours but nobody ever came to the phone. I tried again today, and no luck. I would stay away from LG appliances in all as this has been a nightmare for my family.

Bought the LG French Door refrigerator in July 2013 after researching and review customer reviews. Last week, we noticed the bottom freezer was working and the food was thawing. The next day, we called a local repair company to come take a look at the refrigerator who came over a day later. At that point, the freezer was not working and the refrigerator was barely cool. All the food stored in both sections had to be thrown away. We were told it was the compressor and immediately called LG helpline. We were advised that LG would replace the compressor but we would have to pay the service charge. The LG representatives tried to make an appointment but got errors. They gave us 3 service companies to call and make an appointment to repair our refrigerator. None of the 3 will come to our area (we are outside of Las Vegas, NV). The only exception was 1 company but we would have to pay travel time back and forth. This would amount to around 900.00 which included parts. We declined their offer. It is totally unacceptable that a refrigerator that we paid around 2200.00 is now unusable. We now have to buy another refrigerator, wait at least a week for delivery while in the mean time use a cooler filled with ice to keep essential cold and usable.

Do not buy! Stick with Kenmore!!! If I could travel all 50 states and warn people about this crappy machine I would... Horrible customer service. They also do not come out to repair right away, you have to do various checks on the washer for them to actually come out. They want to know whats wrong or what did you do? I never used LG products before and didnt know the pain of LG product. God was kind until I bought LG fridge. This fridge is making me cry within 3 years of my purchase though the warranty on its compressor is for 10 years. It has failed thrice in 3 months. Had the LG customer service been active to fix the problem properly, I would have thought of a mistake buying LG products. But LG service is worst than their products, they are there for namesake and to do nothing. It is almost a week time. Fridge compressor is down and I lodged complain, they are not bothered yet. I am calling LG customer services more than I call my relatives/friends and family (all put together). I know most of their employees by name. On top of that they refer me to their ASM, who has already resigned and moved :). I do not know whether it will be fixed or not and by when. I think only miracle can make it work or I will have to buy some other fridge.

We bought a washer dryer combo from Appliances Connection the end of November 2017. It worked until around Feb 1 2018. It displayed a error code OE. We pull out the owners manual and found out it was a full filter. We cleaned it and it worked for about 3 weeks. Again OE code. We cleaned filter again, not too dirty but the washer worked for week. OE again. Nothing in filter this time. We called LG. They try to walk us through the problem and could not get it to work. They called a repair person. It took 3 weeks for service. The repairman came out. My husband took the day off work to meet him. He was 4 hours late. He look at the machine for about 10 mins said it was fixed. 13 mins into cycle it displayed OE. He was still in our driveway. He went to work on it again. He never took the top off to look inside. 10 mins later he said, Ok its fixed. Went to do his paperwork. 13 mins into cycle OE. He had left. We called and said same thing was happening. Repairman came back 2 hours later. Never took the top off. Said its fixed. Left 13 mins later. OE. Call shop closed. Next day repair shop said it will be 10 days for new repair person. Same guy came out. Hes mad now. Pulled plug on the drain and flooded my floor hardwood. Never ever came to tell us. Took his shop vac and dump the dirt on my front lawn. I have pictures. All area rug soaked. 20 min no top off its fixed. He left. I called LG to tell them of our problem. After 23 calls and at least an hour on hold a piece they agreed they would send a new repair person. New repair person was to come on Saturday. No showed. I called him all day. At 5:30 he returned my call and said he never set an appt. with LG to come. He said he could come in an hour 6:30 at 7:30. John came was at our house for 2 mins. Said he new the problem and would order the part. 1 week later no news. Call LG. They cant help me. I need to call John repair guy. No answer from him. Days pass calling LG and John. Nothing. Weeks later John calls to say he never got the part. I call LG. They say he never requested it. LG said they need a part number to check on it and I would have to get it from John. Called John. No answer. Called LG. Nothing they can do. 2 weeks of daily calls to LG on hold about any hour on avg. John calls me finally the day after LG told me they were going to refund me for the washer and told me he had the part and was coming on Mothers Day to put it in 7 am. I told him we had church and brunch at 9 am. He assured me he would be there. He showed up at 9 am. We did not make church or brunch. 30 mins spent to not taken off. He cleaned the filter and said LG sent him the wrong part but the washer was working. It did work for 4 loads then OE code again. Called LG. Still no refund or replacement or a washer that works. I dont know what to do. We have lost 5 days of work. Over 200 hour on the phone with LG. 45 min one way to nearest laundry at $60 a week. And hundreds of hour of our lives.

Bought this expensive $2500 LG fridge from Costco June 2018, we were remodeling our kitchen. After 6 months the ice maker defrosted and started leaking and unable to dispense ice. The repairman changed the ice dispenser motor and seemed to work ok. Then after another 3 months or so, the freezer and refrigerator stopped working, defrosting all of our food. We lived on ice coolers and no cooking. When the repairman came, he unplugged the ref, and it started working again. After another month, same thing happened, defrosted all of our food again, lived on ice coolers for 4 days till repairman came and says it might be the control board acting up? He will order the part but we have to wait another 3 days or so. We are waiting for the part he ordered Thursday and will come Wednesday, long wait for a very frustrating expensive ref? I recommend “Don’t buy this fridge!“ Not worth the headaches. I live in Vegas. Very hot here, no fridge life is not easy! Very frustrating, unhappy with poor customer service. LG does not even expedite repairs? Unacceptable... We bought a lemon? Hope this experience doesn’t happen to anyone...

I have purchased a LG Microwave Oven model MS4266OBS from Good Guys in 2018. The following statement is printed on the glass door of the MW oven: Smart Inverter Magnetron 10-year Warranty - Please see the picture attached. It doesnt say either Part only warranty or Limited Warranty. My LG MW oven does not heat after 4 years. LG Customer support asked me to perform a quick test and they determined that the Magnetron is faulty and need to replace. They also told me that they do provide the part free of charge but I have to pay for the labour. When I mentioned what is printed on the glass door of the MW oven, they said I need to refer to the operations a manual that comes with the MW oven to get full details of the 10-year warranty and its my faulty as I have not read the operations manual before making the purchase. As per the advice received from the LG Australia Customer Services, LG EXPECTS ALL CUSTOMERS TO READ THE OPERATIONS MANUAL OF ANY LG APPLIANCE prior to buying them as what is written in the operations manual could be a clear contradiction of what is printed on the appliance. This is misleading the customers who trust whats written on the appliance to be accurate as per how it is written on the appliance. BE CAREFUL with this dodgy company, their dodgy products and customer service! It is not possible for anyone to read the operations manual of a product at a shop before you purchase it. I am not sure how these companies were allowed to operate in this kind of dodgy manner.

Unfortunately, the compressor broke on my LG refrigerator. I filed a claim and it took them roughly two weeks to fix it. They couldn’t send anybody out and the day that I had it scheduled, the guy cancelled on me at the last minute and said that he got the wrong part. So me, my husband, and my little baby were living out of a cooler for two weeks because no one could fix our fridge. I was super upset because it was a brand new fridge that we bought and it was four years. Eventually, they fixed it but I still feel that it doesn’t cool that great. Then they told us that we should only be keeping it 40% full, which is ridiculous because you don’t buy a fridge to only keep at 40% full or it’s not gonna work properly. But that was what the technician told us. We’ve had ongoing issues with this, too. All the little baskets that you can put the milk or sauce containers on are breaking off because the plastic is so brittle and there’s a weak point in it. The design of the plastic is not well-designed. When you spent $2,000 on a fridge, you don’t expect in four years that the containers on the door that you should be able to store things in, are gonna break off. Then the replacement is $90 and when I read all the reviews, people are saying not to even bother replacing it because it’s gonna break again. So, my husband and I decided that we’re never gonna buy an LG again.

LG LDG3036 ST Gas Range. I really like the double ovens and the design of this gas range, but I am completely dissatisfied with how the stove top burners work. The size of the flames around the burners vary considerably, so food will burn in one part of the pan and be barely simmering in another part, making it very, very difficult to cook food evenly. All 5 burners have the same problem. An LG technician came to fix it for the second time today with no improvement. I just got off the phone with customer services Executive Services and was told there was nothing more they could do, and that the stove was functioning according to the manufacturers standards and they will not replace or let me return it. So I paid $1300+ for a stove that doesnt cook any better than a primitive campfire. I have cooked on gas stoves for more than 30 years and have never had this problem. Cooks buy gas stoves so they have more heat control, not less. Id suggest LG needs to reconsider their manufacturing standards as their current one is unacceptable.

No just stains either - plain old dirt and sweat. Some of the clothes do not even get completely wet. I had a Frigidaire for 25 years - always clean clothes - no issues. Gave it away when I moved and bought these pieces of junk! Wish I had brought it with me now! They need to go back to the washers with actual agitators in them so clothes get clean. We bought LG refrigerator in 2016, and it failed in about two years. Took a long time for the LG technician to come in, who replaced the compressor and told us that he was working day in and day out fixing the same problem for other customers. He also told us that even with the replaced compressor, it could fail again in 6 months. At the time, we didnt pay too much attention to that, but it turned out what he said was true. Just 6 months after the repair, the refrigerator failed again. Looking up online the experiences from others, now Im convinced that LG knew the problem all along, and what they have been doing is basically deferring the problem, at the expenses of its customers. Now it looks like they dont even have in-house resource to fix our problem, instead they sent a 3rd-party contractor to fix our fridge, from whom we are getting even worse experience. While he boasted about how the first repair wasnt done well, and promised us he fixed the problem, his two attempts didnt fix it, and we are scheduled for his 3rd visit.LG service claims they are not going to provide us replacement or refund. What they can do is to give us repairs, which is likely from the same repair person and with long lead time every time. Its been almost a month since the fridge broken down, and the entire household has been living on the small 2-door fridge we bought when the fridge first broken down. I bought an LG refrigerator from Sears in May 2015. In June 2019, my freezer stopped making ice. Long story short: an LG technician diagnosed the problem as a compressor/sealed system failure. LG agreed to a courtesy repair but after three visits the LG technician submitted a report to the company declaring the unit unrepairable. Since then, the company has delayed and deflected and made follow up and follow through extremely difficult. I cannot reach a service manager on the phone. I am not sure whether I will be compensated for my losses. I know there is a class-action lawsuit against LG on this very issue. I may well end up joining it. There is no reason why a four-year-old perfectly maintained refrigerator should fail after four years. It should be covered under the manufacturers warranty.

We purchased an LG WM1814CW washer and DLE2514W dryer six years ago from our local Home Depot. The washer truly has been a workhorse. We have no complaints about it at all. The issues we have are with the dryer. The drum split down its seam a year after we purchased it and was replaced at no charge, because we had also purchased the extended warranty. With a year to go on the warranty, we started having issues where the unit wouldnt start when the Start/Pause button was depressed. We didnt think much of it being that it was a rare occurrence. Less than a month after the extended warranty expired, the unit really started having major issues with this. Wed press the Start/Pause button, but the unit wouldnt begin the dry cycle. It would instead hum loudly and you could tell something was getting hot internally. I contacted the customer service department, asking if they would cover the repair because of the history with the unit. They flat out refused. Now this problem happens frequently and the only way to get the dryer going is to open the door, depress the Start/Pause button and the button just inside the door at the same time while manually rotating the drum to give it a jump start. Once the drum is rotating, we have to quickly shut the door hoping nothing gets caught in it in the process. If it does, we have to try it again. Occasionally it starts to go but then falters. If we press the Start/Pause button again, it may or may not go. We have been able to deal with it like this for the past 2-3 years. We did bring in a separate repairman to see if he could fix it, but he couldnt cipher what the problem was and ultimately gave up (after giving us his bill, of course). I guess one of the last straws with my dealings with LG was when they started sending us emails after refusing to cover the repair. The emails referred to my wife and I as valued customers. I told them in no uncertain terms that if we truly were valued customers, theyd repair the dryer at no charge to us.Because of the extremely poor customer service we received, I will never ever own another product made by this company. I dont care what the reviews are and I dont care how good the price is. Never again will an LG product cross my threshold.

After reading on the energy savings we bought an LG HE front loader in 2010. Well, after reading my booklet and other information, I understood that have to keep the door open to not have odors in the washer. We have terrible build-up of mold inside the rubber gasket. I am allergic to mold. I have to get in there and clean with bleach but still comes back. I will say it cleans my clothes. You only need a tablespoon of detergent. But my problem now is the terrible LOUD noise it makes every time it empties the water out. Goes off-balance all the time with small loads. CANNOT wash a small throw rug. Its IMPOSSIBLE to find a reputable repairman. My mom bought the same washer 2011 and now her motor went after others issues with leaking. Shes going out and buying another name brand. I would never buy another LG appliance again.

I purchased a top loading LG Washer from Sears, and purchased the extended master plan warranty with it. Within 2 years it has already started rusting near the dispenser drawer. Sears would offer no help whatsoever, and said the rust is not covered. NEVER buying an LG, NEVER shopping at Sears ever again. I have been a long-standing customer and spend thousands on appliances with them in the last five years, including a stove, refrigerator, washer and dryer. Bought an LG French door refrigerator in June of 2016 and by May 2019 the refrigerator stopped keeping cool or frozen. Was never warned about the huge problems that the linear compressors have and that LG refrigerators only lasting 36 months. After spending 1400.00 and having it last not even 3 yrs is ridiculous!!! Nobody would even come to fix it because it would cost more than its worth we were told and would continue to be defective. So out of alot of money with bad LG product and had to purchase new one but never again will buy LG.... went with GE....

I was happy with the young man that repaired our refrigerator. He was professional and completed his work within a timely manner. I was disappointed in LG for not trusting me, I told the lady the compressor was not running. The fan and lights were working, just not the compressor. The temperature in the refrigerator was 65 degrees plus. I also told her I had heard the compressor running loud a few days before and now nothing. If the lady at LG had trusted me, the part could have been ordered and here or with repairman when he arrived here the first time and I could have my refrigerator repaired and running a week earlier. I am all not happy that repairs had to be done within the first few years of owning it. I understand that this is a regular occurrence on refrigerators now. Disappointed in the integration of the companies putting in place planned obsolescence. I have a 25 year old refrigerator that is still running and has never had repairs done to it. The big profits for the companies, is not good for the consumers or the landfills. I am thankful for the warranty that did cover the parts and the lady at LG for covering the labor repairs. I am just sorry that I have to be without my refrigerator for a extended period of time.

Today I had a refrigerator delivered based on the information given to us by THEIR own employees. They stated that there was no vendor in our city that would be able to repair a sealed system leak. We were just about to have the 4-year old LG fridge removed and the new one installed that I couldnt afford but had to buy when they told us that Sears was able to send someone out to repair it under the warranty. We had already waited a week for them to do the right thing and needed a fridge. They were unapologetic and they REFUSED to do the right thing and reimburse us for the LG fridge under the warranty was we were told would be done. So we now have an LG fridge waiting for repair after 9 days sitting next to the SAMSUNG that we had to buy as we could wait no longer for LG to come through. They make crappy products and their customer services is inept and inefficient and they dont stand behind their warranties. They want you to have a hard time using their warranties so that they dont have to stand by them. CROOKS - like Ive never seen before. DO not waste your money on their junk. Their customer service is on a level of incompetence that I have never seen before and I hope never to again. STAY AWAY - buy any brand other than LG. Its better to use an ice chest than to buy an LG product. Garbage!!!

Whatever is on the top stays there - just shifts from side to side unlike the video. I’ve watched it. It defeats the purpose of HE to use the water plus feature - it’s the only way clothes have a chance to get fully wet. I had a front loader previously for 10 years and wanted to give this a chance. It’s awful and an agitator machine is better than this. Extremely disappointed in LG. Never again.

I purchased the LG top load washing machine model WT4870C only two months ago. It kept giving this unbalance code and no matter what I tried it stopped. LG did a over the phone diagnostic and informed the repairman what was wrong with. I also told LG and the repairman over the phone it looked like the drum seam was splitting. They totally discounted what I said, and a week later the repairman showed up with a number of parts. He took one look and said the drum (tub) was splitting apart. I called Lowes but the only way Lowes would give me my money back or replace it, was if I got a return authorization number from LG. My concern was that I just got a lemon and wanted to avoid a bunch of repairs. I wanted a new one. LG executive department said she could not give me a return authorization until I gave the repairman a chance to fix it. I was not happy but I said Id do it. Then, I thought I would check the LG recalls. It seems that this drum problem was not new. Then, I got into the consumer affairs comments and couldnt believe all the different types of problems LG washing machines were having! Repair after repair! Serious issues... flooding?! Traveling across a room! Im afraid to have it in my home! Im already having nightmares. I will use every means I can afford to try to get my money back and buy a different washer. Open to any and all suggestions. Thanks.

We purchased the top loading LG washer a year ago and it worked well for about 6 months. Then it started showing UE code and stopping due to a supposed unbalanced load. Shifting the clothes around and restarting it several times is about the only way we have now to complete a cycle. It takes incredibly long now to run a load. This now occurs no matter what the load size is. This appears to be a design flaw in this machine with bad load sensor, I think. All we can say is, DO NOT BUY An LG! We purchased an LG fridge from Home Depot on the 19th of January 2011. This fridge went hot and destroyed most of our food on July 13th, 2011. I called LG and they ended up getting a technician out to the house that afternoon. LG said the issue was the control board, but the tech thought there was more. He ordered a compressor as well. Home Depot gave us a fridge to use in the mean time. They returned to fix this on the 26th of July. The panel didnt solve the issue so the tech went to install the compressor and found there was no freon in the system. LG didnt believe this was the problem after two days of waiting, so the tech had to come back on Friday on the 29th of July to install an evaporator with UV chemical in it. The fridge had a bunch of freon on the charge side indicating a blockage somewhere in the system. We had to run the fridge for all weekend and then late Monday, came back to find it still was not cooling or working. LG, at this time, said they may replace it. After a bunch of calls to LG and getting nowhere, we finally are being told they will replace it. This is another 7-10 business days with no fridge and no results. LG informed us that they will NOT pay for destroyed food. I would not purchase another LG product. We have 4 other LG products in our house not including this fridge. The customer service sucks and response times are unacceptable.

LG stainless steel 33 cubic feet model #LFX 33975ST/01 SN 211KRRE1Y726 double doors with freezer at the bottom. We purchased this lovely fridge for our new home.and purchased a warranty with it just in case we has some issues. We are in Texas it is still hot here or it was while waiting for repairs. Our fridge began making noises and finally just stopped. We requested service on it after waiting a couple of days and troubleshooting for solutions. In the midst of hoping it would start to work again, we lost EVERYTHING in it-steaks, chicken, dressings, everything!! We finally got a service company (Premiere) to come out-2 weeks later. Mind you its hot here in Texas so we have been living out of ice chest now for 3 weeks. They finally come out for repairs after 3 weeks and the compressor is out and the blower. Parts need to be ordered. More weeks of waiting and purchasing ice. They finally came out last week and installed the compressor and the blower. It took 4 hours!! Repairman left after being frustrated that it took so long for him to repair! We were told it would take up to 36 hours to be back to normal and temperature. 3 days passed and our refrigerator never made ice and was still warm!! We called back the repair company and we were told they closed out the claim and we were back in the line again for repairs!!This is horrible, horrible customer service! My family and I have been without a fridge for a month and still dont know now when it will be looked at again. We are starting from scratch. This is a 3000.00 refrigerator! Who in management is reading the customer complaints and who can help us?? We need a new refrigerator!! Everyone has been rude even Home Depot where it was purchased!Over a month without food and groceries and nowhere to put them. We lost over 450.00 of food if not more in our fridge and so many bags of ice. This is unacceptable and I plan to go as high as I can until someone calls to help us with this refrigerator issue. It is still under warranty!! This lovely on the outside not working on the inside fridge is horrible!I am adding these notes to Twitter, Facebook and all social media I can until someone helps us or at least contacts us. This has been a horrible experience!! If you are reading or concerned LG, please contact me. We have been told now it will be a while before someone will be out. Almost 2 months without a refrigerator! Frustrated, angry and disgusted with anything LG.

WT4870C - True Balance...I dont think so. I purchased the machine in August, 2013. From the beginning I would get uE/UE messages. I would rearrange the clothes, press the Start button and hope for the best. Finally called LG and the response was that they would email me directions on how to balance the machine. Thats it?! Luckily I had purchased an extended warranty plan. The Lowes Service Advantage rep was very nice and set up an appointment with the local appliance repair tech. He arrived today and asked (1) had I had any service before and (2) did I know about a recall? No to both questions. He explained that he would order parts and set up an appointment for next week. So far today Ive had uE messages on all my loads of laundry. My husband purchased this set less than 5 years ago. Our clothes smell horrible, like mold and mildew. We have tried the tub clean cycle on the washing machine, have bought products designed to clean the washer, and we leave the door and detergent drawer wide open when not in use to try to keep mold from growing. Absolutely nothing works! I contacted LG customer support and they said I had to get someone to service it. Why should I pay someone to do what I have already tried? There is nothing they can do that we havent already attempted. Like others have noted, the thing also will not stay level. My washer is on a top floor and it sounds like an earthquake when the spin cycle is going. The dryer is no better. The clothes are rarely even close to dry when it stops and I have to continuously keep running it for multiple cycles to get them to dry. I should have just kept my top loading Maytag instead of wasting a lot of money on this piece of junk. I never had to buy products to clean out mold and mildew from the top loading Maytag, much less pay someone to service it.

I have a 31 cu ft. French Door LG refrigerator that I spent a lot of money on over 4 years ago and the compressor suddenly went out. Luckily I have a warranty for 10 years for major components, but lo and behold it does not cover labor. The 45 minutes of labor was $600. I am shocked for several reasons: I cant believe an expensive appliance less than 5 years old would have a compressor which needs replacement, its unbelievable to have to pay $600 in labor for 45 minutes of work although I have a warranty. I also own an LG Steam Washer/Front Loader and matching dryer. The washer also needed repairs (which I had to pay parts and labor for) after a couple of years of ownership. These are definitely the LAST LG appliances, electronics, etc I purchase. In the future, I hope to find a company who cares about their customers and stands by their products.

I have to take another day off, wait for that. And same issue has repair 3 time, still has problem. DO NOT BUY ANY LG PRODUCTS. THEIR WARRANTIES ARE JUNK. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT THERE TO HELP YOU AND LIE TO CUSTOMER!!!

Our new LG fridge failed within the first 48 hours. The LG help line scheduled a service technician 5 days later. The technician could not repair the fridge as two of the main circuit boards had failed. The service technician could not get help for the LG technical help line. The technician could not even order the required parts. I called the help line and they said they would look into the problem and call me back. They did not call back, I called again and they said they would call back but again no one called back. The third day and the third call to LG this time they hung up the phone on me. Wow the service is horrible at this company. At this rate I have no idea if I will have a working fridge within the next couple weeks. A word of advice. Do not buy anything from this company.

Our LG microwave went out within months. LG refuses to repair or replace (THATS WHAT WARRANTY PROMISES) - only offers ORIGNAL WHOLESALE price paid by our designer, no shipping, NOT WHAT IT WILL COST US TO REPLACE even though we explained multiple times that the price was not what came out of our pocket (because of designer add-on) and not what the model costs now with inflation. We custom cut and trimmed for that microwave. We will be out $100 plus to replace it.

Model WD-10165FU - I am a South African customer and we have a 9 year old LG Front Loader washing machine (in excellent condition) which has been giving trouble for some time. The problem has been intermittent completion of wash/rinse/spin cycle. I had to resort to taking back cover off and manually coaxing the pulley/V belt to turn the drum. At times during the wash cycle the water would drain out but no amount of coaxing would induce the machine to spin.Today I called out an L.G. Electronics technician who, after checking the brushes in the motor, told me that the problem lay with the P.C. board but then informed me that P.C. boards for this model had been discontinued and there was no other P.C. board which would work. And then the coup de grace - he said I would have to buy a new washing machine. Is there any reason for me to feel totally dissatisfied with L.G. products! I feel that L.G. Electronics have erred badly by not ensuring that such an important part is readily available. I now have to discard an otherwise perfectly working washing machine and outlay big money for a replacement, which most certainly will not be another L.G.!

Brand new LG electric range model LRE30453SB. First time using the oven, smoke billowed from the oven vent after about 5 minutes of preheating. There was some cracking noises heard, about 4 or 5 of them prior to the smoke release. The convection fan may have been on as the button was hit, but the fan indicator never illuminated on the display. Im returning it to the store and staying away from LG.
