We got French Door refrigerator in 2010. Thanks got, we got extension warranty. Our ice maker was broken in a 1 year. They fix it after 8 weeks. Then this plastic ice maker start to smell terrible. Called LG customer service to ask what to do, how to get out of this sweat smell. They told that they do NOT care about smells. BTW, manager talk to me very bad. Now I do not use ice from LG. I buy ice from a store.

I purchased an LG Refrigerator 5 years ago Model LFX31925ST/00 Super Capacity, 3 door, French door with smart cooling technology. In 2013 we had issues where the freezer would stop cooling. My main board apparently went out... I am stuck without a refrigerator after spending more than 3,000 for it in 2013. Expected would last longer for the amount paid.

Purchased new microwave (plus suite of electronics) made by LG (Model LMV16
Purchased new microwave (plus suite of electronics) made by LG (Model LMV1683ST) at HH Gregg. Did not do extended warranty. Purchased Jan 2014 and died June 6, 2015. Will not heat nor will turntable turn. Called LG and went thru diagnostics, which I had already performed. I asked them about write ups online about this model number that indicated a design flaw that causes this issue. They declined to answer. If I were in Australia we would have had a two year warranty, but not in the US. They provided a list of places I could call for service but none of them provided it in our area. And lastly on our chat they did say it was a good thing I kept our 20 year old back up that still works great (not an LG). They dont even offer any type of trade in for something that is 18 months old to try to entice us to purchase another LG replacement. So I am sorry that I had to provide even one star as a rating. HH Gregg will not offer any incentive but they did hook us up with a repair center that will cost us $99 to come out as a minimum.

We bought it brand new with matching Refrigerator, Microwave, and Dishwashe
We bought it brand new with matching Refrigerator, Microwave, and Dishwasher. Within the first year the Blue Paint started popping off into our food and ruined our Thanksgiving TURKEY DINNER. LG CUSTOMER SERVICE SENT OUT A TECH WHO STATED IT WAS A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT. We followed directions and were sent a Return Authorization. I was called to service out of the country but had arranged for LG to replace the Range with a new one. I returned from my duty abroad to find that the Range had never been replaced and was still defective. I called to request that LG honor their RA and was told that it expired after 30 days and now they would not replace my oven. I got my Extended Warranty rep. Wanda ** at AM Trust Group involved and she contacted LG on a 3-way call and they requested a copy of our purchase receipt again. Wanda sent it to them, handled the claim for me and e-mailed that we were getting a New Range, I just needed to call LG to arrange it. I called LG and was redirected away from the representative that said we could have a refund of our purchase price plus taxes to Barbara, a Customer Service Manager who stated that due to the time that passed the best they could do for my Refund was $267 for my $897 Range. I complained and was sent to the LEAD AGENT, Managing Director for Customer service, Michael, on February 12th, 2015. He offered to Increase the Proration to $407 for my Range and despite my pointing out that it was the same faulty range they had agreed to replace originally. He stated that that was LGs full and Final offer for my now out of manufacturers Warranty, Defectively built Non-repairable Range. He stated I would get paperwork in the mail in a few days and would need to remove the Manufacturer ID plate from my Range to prove I still had the Range in order to get a refund Check. That was over 2 weeks ago and Nothing has happened. Now the Range stovetop does not shut off and I am in dire need of a new Range. Thanks for nothing LG (LOW GRADE) corporation. All US MILITARY FAMILIES ARE WARNED. LG DOES NOT CARE! AND DOES NOT KEEP THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE HALF-HEARTED PROMISES. PS, MY Refrigerators electric self-opening and closing Doors stopped working, it was not a Manufacturer Defect and the parts are not available. So Wandas Extended warranty Company gave me a full refund of my purchase Price. Bravo. Too Bad my Range was a Manufacturer DEFECT and not covered under my Extended Warranty as such.

Im not sure what one more negative review will do for LGs image problem with its refrigerators. However you would think that as the reviews pile up and pile up that at some point the company might start dealing with the fallout and consumer dissatisfaction. My model is (rather was) a french door type with bottom freezer. While Ive had it the interior light bulb melted its plastic cover, Ive had the ice maker replaced twice, and the thermostat assembly has gone twice. Some on warranty and some not. The second time I decided to cut my losses (tons of food lost) and no comfort that the problems would end and replace my fridge. In these days of sustainability thinking however I remain upset with this company and the crappy product I bought. Thing is the glitzy outer casing looks brand new. What a shame.

I purchased the LG WT5101HW Wave Series ultra large capacity high efficiency top load washer with LED display, ColdWash technology, 1100 RPM, energy star compliant on January 1, 2011 after spending hours on Consumer Reports looking for the best machine. I purchased the machine from Appliance Connection and even though they encouraged me to purchase the extended warranty, I did not. I now have an EO error that will not go away. I checked on the LG website and the only remedy was to remove the hose and look for blockages and to check the filter. I did check the hose, there was no kinking and no blockage. There is no filter in the drain line, the only filters are in the hot and cold water supply lines which have nothing to do with water draining from the machine. The only way to get the machine to drain is to have the line lower than the tub, which is not feasible because I do not want the dirty water draining on the floor or for that matter, anywhere other than the drain line. When the error occurred, the machine had a load of towels and we had to wring the towels out and remove the water manually by dipping it out with a small bucket. This took a great deal of time and energy. The LG representative told me that I need a service call and the company that performs the maintenance is 1.5 hours from where I live and cannot respond until Friday between 8 and noon. This is very frustrating to have an issue that may or may not be corrected before the weekend because the technician may or may not have the parts. I also checked the company that is to respond to the service call and they have had several negative comments from former customers. I have now read the comments on this site and am apprehensive as to whether I will have a satisfactory outcome. I am also contacting Consumer Reports since I relied on their evaluation of this washer. I also purchased a dryer and I did get a 4-year extended warranty, which I will probably need. I had a Maytag washer that is now being used by my son and his college roommates. I may ask for it back!

We got the old LG models washer and dryer. Dryer didn’t last more than five years. Washer doesn’t do a great job. Has left brown marks on loads, the need to wash a washer is asinine. My mom’s 1980 top loader is still in operation and the clothes are cleaner and smell clean. Not sure what I’m smelling from my washer. New dryer that replaced it turns off before cycle is done.

Less than 2 yrs old LFXS24663S stopped working. Lost $300+ of food. Luckily I had purchased the extended warranty. After a week of looking the warranty company cannot find anyone to do service so they issued a credit for me to purchase another refrigerator. So I am getting a different brand. Never again get anything LG. It seems like the controls are messed up or are out of calibration because the compressor is working and there is Freon in the system. But it is about 20* off on the fridge and 40* off on the freezer. I see many people with the same issue.

We have now replaced both the main board and control board on our LG front load washer all within 8 months. The cost now equals what we paid for the washer. We are not happy! The service repairman informed me that we needed to put a surge protector on the machine. He used to work for the manufacturer! Where in the manual is that mentioned? For only $5.00, we could have saved well over $1,000 for replacement and service. Why is this not told to the consumer when the machine was purchased? Has anyone else experienced this? Were you told to plug in a surge protector?

2013 LG 3-Door French Refrigerator, out of warranty. Ice maker quit, replaced. Still no ice. Makes cubes but have to manually cycle the ice maker. Fridge only cools to 50 degrees, freezer only to 22. Cleaned coils, cleaned connectors, checked wiring. Compressor hot, fans running. No obstructions to air vents & ducts. Feel cool air blowing out. What an overpriced, short lifespan POS. I will bet that the 15 year old GE side-by-side that was replaced is still working great. LG... NEVER AGAIN.Updated on 7/21/2017: Jaime of Sears Appliance Repair came by to diagnose the fridge today 7/19/2017. 4 year old LG French 3 Door Refrigerator Model #LFX25991ST/02 TL;DR... DONT BUY LG! READ THE REVIEWS! The original issue was the ice maker would freeze cubes but not automatically harvest them. The tray would fill, cubes would freeze and I could manually run the harvest cycle but 2 trays per day (one morning and one night) was not a serviceable solution. I replaced the ice maker and same problem. After further reading, I measured the compartment temperatures and both the fridge & freezer were a bit too warm even at max cooling settings on the door. So the ice maker sensor never got a cold/frozen signal to harvest the cubes.Fridge was @ approximately 50 degrees and freezer approximately 25 degrees (will still freeze cubes) measured with a Harbor Freight digital thermometer. This was checked dozens of times by me in the weeks prior to calling for service as I tried to troubleshoot the problem by cleaning the coils, checking for obstructions to air flow, check for anything burnt, broke or otherwise defective... Removing the freezer contents and all drawers and popping off the rear cover panel we saw only a little icing on the freezer coils area. Jaime said that there should be even icing on all the coils. Mine had icing only on the top row pointing to a weak compressor. The repair would be in the $500-$1000+ range. And even if it was repaired, there was no guarantee that it would be permanent and last. Even replacing *every* part would not guarantee success as there could be a leak or obstruction in the lines inside the refrigerator walls and they are not repairable.Looks like a new fridge is in order. Jaime had five LG repairs on the schedule for today! Dont waste your hard earned money on LG! This one was 4 years and one month old to the day. BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT waste your hard earned money and valuable time on an LG. They are notorious for blown compressors and major issues requiring the totaling of the refrigerator and repurchasing a new one. This one has cost me $3030 (refrigerator) + $174 (service calls) + $150 (ice maker) for 4 years and one month of use. LGone of the biggest POS and worst appliance investments ever.

Ive owned this LG washing machine and dryer for about 2 years now. I found that if I dont overload the machine, it cleans the clothes fairly well. I do think the amount of water used is too small. Its just not sufficient enough to soak into the clothes to loosen the dirt and odors. The odor is the sign that it needs to be reprogrammed for more water. When it was programmed for the amount of water it uses now, the engineers lengthened the washing cycle, which increases electricity use. Lengthen the cycle did not cause the clothes to get cleaner. More water is the key and maybe a redo of the soap used in cleaning the clothes. Either way there must be an adjustment. Lets hope they listen eventually or they will lose sales big time. My sister has the same problem with her front load machine. The dryer is just fine, great. You just have to take my word for it. Pictures wont give you the smell and why would I lie about a purchase that I paid over a thousand dollars to buy?

Our electric glass top range/double oven stove is the worst ever! The knobs
Our electric glass top range/double oven stove is the worst ever! The knobs are SO sensitive and we have accidentally kicked them on numerous times by leaning against the stove when gathering in the kitchen and even by reaching up into the cabinet or microwave that is over the stove and hitting the knobs with our stomach or hips. Thank goodness we have always been home when this has happened and have been able to quickly address the melted cutting boards (2) and scissors that have been on the stove when accidentally turned on. Also, were very lucky that our dog knows better than to jump on the counters when we are not home or else I could see him turning on the stove and burning down our house with himself in it. I have called LG multiple times about this and each time I am assured someone will call me back but still no return call! To make matters worse, SafetyFirst brand makes knob covers to childproof these types of stoves, but LGs knobs are too large for the standard protectors. Its like LG aims to get a good laugh at peoples houses burning down because of their faulty products! We really wish we got a Whirlpool!!!

I like that its energy-efficient, easy to clean, quiet, and overall dependable unlike leading competitors. Fit well in the kitchen, not too tall. I liked the water filter and dispenser inside the refrigerator and the spacious shelving that was easy to clean - made of clear plastic not barred plastic. It was top door freezer and bottom door fridge and did not have enough room. Nor enough room for leftovers or storage which is much needed in families larger than 3.

Loved the size and look of this double door bottom freezer, made a little noise from time to time after 6 months in the freezer section, no big deal, very occasional... One morning 18 months after purchase while trying to make lunches and manage the usual morning routines of all work of families with kids, found all food soft or going soft in freezer!! Food in fridge was cool but not usual cold. Temp readings still said 0 for freezer and 37 for fridge... I called dealer who sold it to us, of course, Not his problem. Called LG who initially insisted I had a smart diagnosis feature which I did not, another 20 min wasted, finally a repairman comes over. Spends 10 min and tells us it will be almost $400 to fix for a new fan and compressor???? What??? I just bought this thing!! LG, you must be kidding me... not buying into your company anymore. DLG2302R - We purchased an LG washer and dryer about 4 years ago. After 6 months, the dryer button would not work (to start the dryer). It was still under warranty and a technician came out. He wasnt sure what was wrong, but he tried replacing a part he thought might be the problem. It worked for a while longer after that, then it would turn on sometimes but not other times. We called again. Now it was out of warranty, and we could not afford to replace the front panel to fix it (we already spent $2,000 to purchase the pair). Then the dial quit working (still doesnt work). As a result, we have had to manually program the time/heat setting with other buttons on the panel. We never know if the dryer will work when we need something to be dried. Like today 4 years later.

We recently purchased a new LG refrigerator. Within less than 5 months, it stopped working and did not cool. Since it was still under warranty, we were directed to LG Support. Not only did the people on support line not speak English, we were told there were no LG techs in our area, and it would be 4 weeks before one could come out. Having no other options, we made the appointment. When our appointment date came, the tech was a no-show, and called an hour after the 6hour window to tell us he would not be coming, and the next available appointment would be an additional 2 weeks away. Again, having no other option, we agreed to the appointment time. During this time period we received a strange box on our doorstep, which contained nothing but packing foam - we were not informed of any shipments coming to us. This apparently was from LG and was supposed to contain parts needed for repair (again, it was just foam). When the tech came (6 weeks after the initial call - meaning we had no fridge for over a month at this point) he arrived and said that because the parts were not there (because they SENT US PACKING FOAM), he would have to come back another time. Again, the next available appointment was 2 more weeks away. Throughout the entire experience LG support was absolutely no help, did not try to help troubleshoot, find alternatives, and was completely incompetent (again, I refer you to the shipment of packing foam, and a 2 month timeline to repair a BRAND NEW refrigerator). I will never purchase another LG appliance after this experience, and have cautioned others not to as well.

WE bought LG washer and dryer after building our new home. First time I buy LG and last time. Not only did it smell which I could deal with it by leaving the door open. In December of 2014 it started shaking so bad when spinning. The repair man came and charged me $120.00. The shaking continued and when I called him back he said we had to replace the whole tub, springs___the guts of the machine. Really! For $780 plus dollars. He said after a few years the springs go from round to oval shape and it is a kit, thus the price to replace the whole thing. I said no thank you. I will use it until I cannot stand the shaking and will buy a different brand. This time a top loader. The last one I had last me 17 years and it was a different brand. So I am going back to that brand. After doing some research, I told the repair man I would post this review to tell other women to beware.

I bought an LG refrigerator 5yrs ago. I have had problems with the freezer area freezing up and causing problems then I started having other problems, the compressor went bad and it was under warranty for 10 yrs. I called LG and they wanted to just push me off and give me a bunch of BS. They gave me a number of one of their certified companies to come work on it, so I do just that. The company comes out and I had to pay for the service call, then they told me that I had to pay for the part, which is 800.00 and then I had to get LG to refund me. Then I called LG and they said, No, that the company had to get it. The company that LG sent out to my house refused to buy the piece, stating that LG does not want to refund them the product. I should not have to deal with this. I finally got that issue taken care of and not something else is wrong with the refrigerator. I am done, getting rid of it, and I will NEVER have another LG product. EVER.

We own a lot of LG products so when we were in the market for a new stove, we went straight to the LG section. Well my burner on my range wont turn off. I called LG and they told me my model was on recall and they were aware of the problem. The tech came out and said he had to order the part. Then after spending way too much time on hold (One guy didnt even put me on hold, he put me on mute for 20 minutes!!!), they told me my range was not on the recall list!!! So I would be responsible for the parts and labor!! I then spoke to the supervisor who basically told me there was nothing she could do. So what am I supposed to do with this defected stove... leave the burner on and burn down my house? Not only that the number they gave me for the tech was no longer in service, I had to Google the company myself and provided LG with the correct number... For that alone they should fix my stove! So I will be contacting the better business bureau ...Heres the real kicker, Im hosting Thanksgiving dinner at my house!!! LG stands for Lousy Grinches! They stole my Thanksgiving. Maybe Santa will bring me a real stove... by Maytag.

This washer was only used for a couple of loads a week. What really bothered me was the treatment I got from LG. Updated on 07/29/2020: LG response with a classic, there are not the way they treat a customer. The same for everyone because I read other reviews (too late for me, I already bought the oven). The reviews were mixed, but not good enough. Original Review: I bought it on March 2018, and is not working. No heat. I call customer service saying I think is the magnetron. It has a 10 year warranty. They say I need to call an LG technician. I didn’t buy the extended warranty because it was too expensive. So, I need to pay the labor. So it not worth it. I will not buying an LG microwave again.

French door with water and ice distributor, bottom freezer, refrigerator LFX28968ST, barely 3 years old (still have one more payment), non-functional. Thursday, We noticed water spillage on floor in the morning but just assumed kids dropped ice and didnt clean up. In the evening we noticed nothing was cold and everything in freezer was defrosted and warm. Called LG, troubleshooted a few things, nothing. Even the SMART diagnostic could not be processed. We paid the flat rate for a service call.Friday morning, LG technician came, verified and said there was nothing to be done, non-repairable. Filled out the paperwork, took pics, scanned the bill of sale, sent to LG office and told us LG will replace and in that 72 hours should have a response. Weekend without fridge - good thing it was cool outside. Waited until Wednesday, no response. Call back LG customer service (located in Philippines). They have receive request but are still processing. Normally takes 7-10 business days, but since this is urgent, 3-5 business days.Well today, is 5th business day. I called back, they responded that it is still being processed, calculating the pro-rated amount, and someone will call us mid-next week. I ask to speak to someone in the department who is better able to help, but they do not transfer to whatever dept that would be, nor will they transfer to supervisor. I have a family to feed, and my home business involves cooking. I have lost the contents of my fridge and even though the temperature outside is cool, it dips below freezing at night and there are scavenging animals. Does anyone know a mailing address for LG so I could send them a legal letter? Customer support is really not helpful. I recommend not buying LG! This was the first and will be the last!

I Jaiprakash ** had purchased two product from LG Shoppe situated at Mira Road East, franchise of Malaika Electronic at Sector 1, Shanti Nagar, Mira Road East, Thane. In January, 15, 2015 had purchased three door refrigerator and the complaint is still pending. The reason the LG mira road service centre is ruthless and useless and just want to mint money from the customer by delaying to give service during warranty period and once the warranty period is over, they are free to mint money from the customer. The deep freezer is getting choked with ice and we could see the ice growing like mountain at middle of the deep freezer. The complaint falls to deaf ear and the mail falls to blind eye. No response from the LG service centre, cause they are just waiting when the one year expiry is getting over and when we can mint money.Secondly had purchased LG 10.5 kg washing machine and the dryer is giving problem. The clothes are not fully dried as compared to other brand and the customer service provider informs saying thoda to gila rahega, then how come other brand machine resolves the problem fully and the clothes are dried fully. Not ready to listen about other brand product. Cause it hurts their ego. Almost wasted 67000/- and feel I have been cheated by giving a defective item both end. and the worst part after messaging the senior guy ASM ** he too acts as deaf and blind. So one can understand how junior will react to the customer. Seriously upset with the product and wasted my hard earned money. Dont know whether I have purchased a LG product or a LOW Grade Product. God bless them and give some brain to work with innocent people.

Current elapsed time of this issue is now 1 and 1/2 months. The LG refrigerator (LFXC24726S/02) stopped working on April 27, 2018. The refrigerator is still under warranty. I bought a kitchen suite of 4 appliances through Costco which included the refrigerator. LG did not want to honor the warranty at first. After several calls they sent a technician who determined it was a defective compressor. 2 weeks elapsed and neither LG nor I heard from him again. After several calls to LG a second technician came and also determined it was a defective compressor. He ordered the compressor. He finally came to our house but refused to install the compressor because LG had not paid him for previous service calls and demanded payment for his services upfront. He was rude and discourteous. He said LG failed to provide him with the info to process the repair. He did not want to talk to the LG customer service either. I was able to get him the info so he could proceed. He installed the compressor under duress. He left right away. The repair to the refrigerator failed.I had contacted Costco and Costco and LG have been going back and forth to make a final determination to provide a refund. There is still no determination. I have kept notes of the ineptitude of LG, its customer service, its repair services and its unwilling to fulfill the obligations of the warranty. I have spent countless hours trying to find a resolution. I have been without a refrigerator and have lost food to spoilage. I am not happy that Costco is also unable to leverage LG to address the issue. I am being neglected and not responded to because of LGs lack of care toward its customers. It is further distressing that a company can flat out not fulfill the warranty obligations of its products.

My washer is less than a year old. Already had to replace 4 parts, one is the motor and electronic board and couple other parts! Due to a UE code it was throwing for being unbalance. The other thing it was doing is turning off on its own and not coming back on unless we unplugged it and then turned it back on then it would work! This happened a couple times. I am happy I have a 4 yr warranty!

LG Washer WT5070CW - I have had this washer since 12/12/12. It is not worth the money. This is my third washing machine in my married life of 35+ years. I gave my son my last one when I bought this piece of junk. All the others lasted 10+ years. Always Unbalance Error. I babysit this machine constantly waiting for it to UE over and over again. The repair man for my appliances wont even look at a LG. Should have called him before my purchase. I called LG today and really received no solution other than emailing them all my information on the purchase. Considering buying another washer (NOT LG). Dont even want to give to anyone because it is junk. Will just have them haul it away.

Despite proper leveling it slams shut and shakes your whole house. Too bad you cant test drive a Refrigerator and find this out ahead of time. Its no wonder other problems occur as the constant shaking has got to be bad for electronics and parts.

We purchased an LG refrigerator with bottom double freezer and french doors
We purchased an LG refrigerator with bottom double freezer and french doors in 2011. Four years in - we had trouble with the food thawing in the freezer and ice maker stopped working. A repairman through LG came out and did a repair and fixed it. As soon as the warranty was up (Jan 2016) it happened again. We were given a choice - pay $294.50 for a 1x visit and 60 days coverage of the same issue or $444.05 for 1 year warranty for any problem.Since we figured this was a big problem, we went with the $444. The repairman came again and flushed the system - started working again. 5 months later the same thing happened - he replaced the compressor. Still under warranty. Warranty expired in July 2017 - Oct 2017 the same thing happened. LG will not do anything about it because its not under warranty even though its the same problem from the beginning. Now Im faced with a non working refrigerator and a decision of paying a huge amount to get it fixed or moving on from a 6 year old refrigerator. Never will buy LG again.

This is the worst appliance purchase I have made. Most loads show as unbalanced to which the washer responds by refilling the tub with water. It is almost impossible to meet the machines balance requirements. The constant refilling makes the machine a little less than high efficiency. The companys position that you need to wash things of similar weight in a load is ridiculous. I would have to wait until every piece of clothing I own needed washing before I could meet that requirement. A typical load takes 2+ hours to complete which includes multiple attempts to rebalance the clothes. I would recommend that you look elsewhere. I cannot fathom why there are so many positive reviews for this giant POS. (Model WT1101CW)

I THOUGHT I did proper research on dependability, etc., but boy was I wrong. After one week of use, the circuit board on the front-load washer went out. I called LG and the (2) reps I spoke with spoke VERY broken English, gave me a case # and told me to call a local appliance service for repair. That service took 10 days to get to my house, looked at it for less than 5 minutes, was rude and asked what we expected him to do as we had the units stacked (appropriately per the manual), said he needed to order a circuit board and would be back in touch. A week later, no word, I called the service facility and they now scheduled for yet another week out - three to four weeks for a repair? We previously had Maytag and Whirlpool front loads, left them at houses we sold, and are sooo sorry we didnt go back - LOVED our previous units, especially the Maytags, and it was local, English-speaking service. RUN AWAY FROM THE LG DISPLAYS...

We called service and they told us to stop using the machine immediately and they would send a service technician. The tech said we need a new tub assembly and it is NOT covered under warranty. It will cost $1100 to get fixed!!! Are you kidding ME??? I paid less than that for the washer 18 months ago! This is absolute BS. How can they NOT back their products after only 18 months. We purchased our refrigerator a little over three years ago. The compressor just went. We lost everything in both the fridge and the freezer. All the ice in the ice maker melted and leaked all over the floor. I called the LG number found the manual. I was on hold for over 30 minutes. The refrigerator “specialist” asked me find the model number and serial number. The place he told me to look was incorrect. He became impatient with me and told me he could only give me three minutes. Three minutes... I found the information (not where he told me to look) and he then gave me the names and numbers of two local appliance repair businesses. When I called one of the numbers I was asked for a PIN # from LG. Apparently the “specialist” was supposed to have given me one because the fridge parts are still under warranty. Now I had to find the receipt for when we purchased the refrigerator. This all happened two days before we were leaving for vacation. So obviously the refrigerator won’t be fixed until after we get back. I’m extremely disappointed with this LG product. I can’t imagine ever buying another LG product. I will certainly be warning friends and family.

We are now in the process of replacing all appliances with a different brand and never to buy another LG product.

I purchased a DLGX3471V dryer and I have to say, I so regret tossing my perfectly good Kenmore for this piece of junk. It never fails but EVERY load I dry comes out with ripped and torn clothing from catching on the lint tray that no longer fits into the door slot. The plastic breaks apart and catches on the clothes (especially bra straps and tank tops) making them unusable. I have lost a ton of pants and shirts being mangled and ripped by the broken pieces of plastic on the lint tray. I have ordered and replaced the screen twice since it was purchased (3 screens in 4 years). Avoid LG products - hopefully whomever came up with this design no longer works for the company!

Our house has never had a loose or knocking pipe until we bought an LG washer. Ive heard this called water hammer. It started immediately after installation. I contacted LG and was told, This means that there is a sudden obstruction in the path of high pressure fluid through a pipe. This is caused by high water pressure in pipes not by the washer. Considering how very many complaints Ive found, this is the washer. I now have a pipe loose in the wall.

We had purchased a LG washing machine from Best Buy less than a year ago and have had constant problems with it since. Soon after we installed it in our new house we had it leak water throughout the night from the front of the washing machine. After contacting LG about it they did a test on it (over the phone, as it was a smart washing) and said it was OK to use. Against the better judgement of my wife she went ahead and used it and the same thing happened again, but this time worse. The water created about $8600.00 in damages, had floor damage, water in the vents that collapsed the AC vent under the house, and mold starting to appear on our walls. Fortunately we had our own house insurance which covered out expense, and we had to pay a small $250.00 deductible. After explaining the situation to LG, they asked us to send them a damage report and all the information which we did, they refused to replace the washing machine and instead sent a technician out to fix it, who came out four separate times to fix it. He said that there was a fault with the machine and we were afraid that it would happen again. LG also told us that because the washing machine was a display model that we purchased it was not under warranty. When I called through customer service to ask them if I purchased a display model from Best Buy would it be covered by warranty, they said yes (a direct contradiction to what was told.) I asked them for a transcript to verify that which they sent. After 4 attempts to fix the problem they still wouldnt change the machine or give us our money back, and we ended up having to pay out of our pocket for the technician to come out. To this day we still have a faulty washing machine. After calling them several times to try and get my deductible back from LGs own insurance company they kept telling me that they would call me in two days, and never did. This happened three separate occasions and it has been about 6 months since the accident happened, and they have been in possession of all the documentation for around 3-4 months and have done nothing about it. We are very disappointed in their service and do not expect them to do anything about our situation. This is the first time Ive complained online to any company, but I feel that other consumers need to know.

We purchased the French door/bottom freezer unit for $3000.00 (model LFXC24726S). Upon plugging it in, it seemed to be cooling down, although the ice maker was not working. We reported this on 2/19/15. At that time it seemed that the unit on the whole was cold enough to stock with food. The fancy door temperature reading reported that the freezer was at 0 degrees and the refrigerator was at 37 degrees. NOT THE SITUATION!! The next morning everything that we put in the freezer was totally soft. By that afternoon we were sure that the refrigerator section was nowhere close to 37 degrees. We spoke to LG service repeatedly and although we were told that we would have service on Monday morning, we waited all day and finally a service tech came at 5 pm. He diagnosed that the unit would need a new mother board and would be back the next morning. We again waited all day and at 7 pm he returned with another service tech. At 9:30 pm they said that they believed that all problems had been solved. The next morning the tech called to ask if everything was working properly. Nice of him to call, but in fact, the unit was totally warm; although the temperature reading on the door still reported that the freezer was 0 degrees and the refrigerator was 37 degrees. So much for the reliability of this fancy technology. It is now 5 working days later and we are told by the executive team at LG that this refrigerator will not be replaced until everything has been tried to repair it. The compressor that the tech is now saying would be the next thing to try is on back order and it will be at least another week until that is available. Until LG has tried to replace every part and rebuild this unit they will keep us waiting. Thanks a lot. We want everyone to consider this situation before you decide to buy an LG product.

LG Electric Range- LRE30453ST. After using the self-cleaning feature in the oven, I noticed the interior looked as if it had been chipped or scratched. I then found pieces of the enamel on the oven floor. I called LG to complain. They asked me to send them pictures of the oven. After emailing them the pictures, they came back, said that it was out of warranty and I did not purchase an extended warranty. Their conclusion was that the chipping was caused by owner neglect. I was fuming since I did not do anything to cause this. I only used the self-cleaner. I asked to speak to someone in a higher position and was told that they were the highest I could go. I preceded to inform them that I would not take that as an answer. I still have the pieces of enamel that came off. I told them that I would be contacting the Better Business Bureau and anyone else I knew to report this and they told me, to go ahead.Im stuck with an appliance that I wonder whether it is safe or not. I have a 10-year old stove whose oven looks 100 times better than this one. Unfortunately, I purchased a LG refrigerator and dish washer to match. I reached out to LG and asked if they were doing anything for customers at the compressors are not laughing the industry standard. I was greeted with sympathy from the LG customer service rep. He looked up my model and told me that I had a 10-year compressor warranty and assured me that hed write up a ticket at no charge for labor or the service call. I was able to get an appointment within three days and the service people were prompt and the repair was done within an hour and a half and my refrigerator is working beautifully. I bought a front load LG washer about 4 years ago to replace my 15 year old Whirlpool washer which was still working. Now in the past month the washer started making a loud noise during all cycles of the spin including slow and fast spin. Contacted LG who sent a tech and they said it is the outside drum and bearing which will be over a 400 dollar repair. Now a new LG can be bought for 645 so I went to HD and ordered a new Washer, same LG brand because the salesman said I could still use the 249 dollar pedestal if I went with the LG brand. Today LG deliveries came with the washer and said they will not install the new washer on the Old pedestal since it was not bought from them now and they will install only if I ordered another 249 dollar new pedestal from them again. The delivery guys were rude so I told them to take the washer back so I can buy an alternate brand along with its own matching pedestal. In my experience LG is one of the worst brands of home appliance company and have very poor customer service.

Within 2 years of purchasing our top-load (no center agitator) washer/dryer set, the metal around the bleach dispenser in the washer began to rust. We lifted the top of the washer and the entire bottom was rusted. It looks as if the underside of the washer top was not sealed properly from water damage. We found many other similar complaints online and contacted LG, only to be told that the rust is cosmetic. Soon our bleach dispenser will be unusable. During a normal cycle, water runs through the bleach dispenser, so even if I stop using it for bleach, the rusty water will still enter the washer drum. There is no reality in which rust running into the washer should be considered cosmetic.

We purchased a complete new set of appliances (including this LG electric range) in September 2011 at Best Buy. During the late summer/early fall of 2013 we began to experience difficulty turning the stove top burners off. This progressively got worse and shortly thereafter we started to wake up in the morning to a glowing red burner on high; so it also turns “on” by itself. Since then (approx. 6 months ago) I regulate our LG electric range by turning off the “range” breaker in our house circuit panel. This is really inconvenient. I quickly looked online to see if others experienced this problem and soon became aware of recall #13-031 initiated on November 8th, 2012. I then called LG and explained the issues; they transferred me to the recall department who initially said “sorry, your range is outside of our recall parameters; it’s too new”. I explained that I have the identical make, model, symptom, and purchase location as what recall #13-031 states. They didn’t care. I then informed LG that I also have three young daughters and I am afraid I will forget to turn the household circuit breaker off and one of them may get burned or our house could burn down one night. Again this didnt matter.During this same call the lady I was speaking with asked if we still owned our LG top load washer. I said “yes, we love it”. She said that unit has a recall and they would send an authorized tech out to repair it. This occurred in the late October/early November time frame and the washer was never the same, ruined. They tried several more times then finally agreed to replace it. We went without a washer for two months and commuted to and from the laundry mat almost daily while we waited. They finally exchanged it with a new model which runs great. During this wait I kept on calling LG customer service not only asking where our replacement washer was, but also updating them on our LG electric range. One day in December I finally was able to talk to a sympathetic recall rep who said “your range is included in the recall; it’s deep in our notes”. He said he would arrange the recall repair, finally! A few days later the local LG authorized repair center called and said they could not find our unit listed or a recall number which they needed to obtain the parts. I called LG again, spoke to a lady, and she could not validate my previous call. Regardless she heard me out and said “we will take care of this under good will”. The LG authorized service center came out in early December to inspect it, verified the problem and ordered the parts. They returned on December 17th, 2013 and installed the new parts and as soon as we activated the breaker the burners lit up red on high; once again the recall made our appliance worse. I stood right next to the tech when he called the LG tech line on speakerphone. They informed him not to touch it anymore; he has done all he can do. They will review it for replacement. Again, this occurred on 12-17-2013. I was emailed a link and submitted my proof or purchase. Then a few weeks later on 1-10-2014 I was contacted by an RA coordinator, “**”. She said LG would issue a refund but first needed to pick up our range, truck it to Minneapolis, package it, right it to Illinois, inspect it and then issue payment. She said this process would take “2 to 3 weeks” which after our recent washer experience I really have to question. I asked what we should do for 2-3 weeks without a range? She said we could front the costs of a new range and if we don’t have the money then perhaps we could explore financing it at zero percent interest then pay it off when the check arrives… I then asked what if LG repairs our range and ships it back or rejects the claim? Dead silence… I politely said this would not work for us. We have a very dangerous LG range and we want it repaired or replaced just as LG did with our washer a few months ago. We cannot afford to be without a range for 2-3 weeks nor can we afford to purchase another new range and wait for unknown results. LG denied this request three times (last conversation on 3-18-14) stating because our LG electric range is not part of the recall. So here we sit waiting, not sure this above experience is aligned with the LG Mission Statement.

Sealed system on 18 month old LG refrigerator (LFXS30766D-01) failed. It was under warranty, but LG has been unable to find anyone in our area to service our refrigerator. It has been over 3 weeks now. They have passed the buck to someone else to try to find someone to service it. Nothing has been done. I have spent hours on the phone trying to find someone to fix it. One LG approved company came to diagnose the issue, charging $100 and stating they were unable to fix the problem and good luck finding someone - no-one around here wants to work on these refrigerators. LG is NOT standing behind their warranty and is not fixing nor reimbursing for their failed product.

On June 6, 2010 I bought an LG wm2301hr washer from Best Buy. Today we found that this washer had a slow leak in a faulty valve at the top of this unit that must have been leaking for a while. It was just a slow steady drip for a long time until today 3-2-2012. The way we found was that there’s a moldy smell in the closet behind the wash room with lots of black mold growing under the baseboards. Now, we have ruined carpet, ruined clothes, ruined sheetrock and baseboards and a washer that I have to fix myself. I expected a lot more quality for an $1100.00 washer. Best Buy said sorry. LG said sorry out of warranty. Wow, with the water dripping on the motor, I don’t even know if the machine is safe to put back in service. Any help would be great!

My LG fridge isnt even 3 years old. The compressor has gone out 2 times. Not even a month between breaking twice. The matching stove broke 2 days between each other. I will never buy LG again or if their parts are used in another brand. Ill make sure to do my research on my next purchase. Hundreds of dollars lost in food each time. This is ridiculous! LG should be offering consumers their money back. I dont want a fridge that will keep breaking. I want to buy from another company but unfortunately I live paycheck to paycheck and had to save for this garbage.

We purchased our washer 4 years ago. This was our first front loader so we went for the top of line (or so we thought). Clothes dont get thoroughly clean, get an awful smell even leaving the door open. The best part the bearings go bad. Sounds like a jet engine in my house. Will now be without a washing machine for several weeks while parts are ordered, then another appt to do the repair. Only to be told once its fixed it will probably only last another couple years. Will never buy LG or a front loader again. The machine is junk!

I purchased brand new appliances in 2016 with them being delivered in spurts due to back orders. The dishwasher Model LDT9965bd was delivered on January 30, 2016 and not installed for a few weeks later. These are top of the line LG projects in black ice. I noticed the finish deterioration on the left side on 2/7/17 so I contacted ABC Warehouse on 2/7/17 and my salesman referred me to their LG customer service. I call the next morning and they refer me to LG directly because they say the warranty was up on January 30, 2017. I did not purchase an extended warranty on this item like I did my fridge and stove. Upon sending my photos she asks me how I clean it. I dont use product on the item and only wipe with a damp dish towel on top where the buttons are. To be honest the dishwasher does not need that much cleaning on the outside (sounds accusatory to me). She proceeds to tell me to call service repair and provided me a local number that I have not called as it will be a cost to me for them to come out. The finish on my black ice dishwater is coming off around the handle on both sides and I have only had it installed since late February 2016. I told her to forget it that I would take this up with my sales rep. At this point I would not recommend LG products if this does not get addressed at no charge. THIS IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT. I will not stop until this is fixed at their expense since I spent $1,000 on this item. I thought I was buying quality.Updated on 11/29/2017: Here we go again with the same issue Im going to complain about again. The black ice finish is coming off near the left handle of the dishwasher as I noticed last night. The skin was replaced last year on 2/11/17 and its now almost 10 months later and its happening again. I will again, make some calls to get someone out to replace this at their expense on this expensive item. By the way, I agree with a lot of the complaints about the LG dishwashers. They do not clean well and I hate everything about the inside. Tines to thin, dishes fall over, not cleaned well etc... I miss my old stuff and it was not even broken. I had purchased all new since I had to replace my fridge. The saga will continue.

Purchased LG model LFXC24726S counter depth refrigerator in late Sept 2016. All was good until April of 2017. The ice maker started leaking and would freeze so that the ice bin could not be removed. The water would leak out onto the front of the refrigerator causing the panel to be discolored and the bottom drawer on outside to be constantly water spotted. We had a repair man from Famous Tate replace ice maker. Same thing happened. He said the whole door had to be replaced. He ordered the door in early May. It is now August 26 and still no word from them. We also contacted LG and they promised to have someone get back to us in a few days. That was 10 days ago. We plan to go to Famous Tate today and try to get something done about this issue.

Has leak water all over my floor and into my finished basement. They continue to try sending out technicians. Most recent technician refused to come out if fridge has been serviced so many times before. LGs answer to this is they will send a different company out. Their warranty only includes service and parts. They will not do a replacement or refund. I have a new baby in the house and have been without a fridge totally for 5 weeks. We purchased an LG Gas Range in November of 2012. Starting in May of 2015, the oven racks started becoming a struggle to slide them in and out of the oven. We noticed that the blue enamel was gone on the tracks where the oven racks slide in and out. We have contacted LG and they keep giving us the run around. We even sent pictures where it was evident that the enamel was gone and you could clearly see the metal. They responded with the following email, Sir: This is with regard to the request of range racks for model#LRG3095st. The unit was purchased 11/15/2012 which is over a year and not qualified for us to send you the racks for free. This racks can be ordered with our Parts Distributor, MCM ELECTRONICS phone# 800-824-9491. Also, regarding the pictures that you sent to us which have stains on the blue enamel, these were caused by liquids, sauces, grease, and other foods spilled or splattered inside the oven which is cosmetic issue, therefore not covered. So, all they ever wanted to do was have us order our own racks and state that these were stained by grease, liquids, etc. Obviously, he did not look at the picture and it appears he is stating that these things will eat the enamel off of the inside of the stove to where the metal is exposed... LG has a problem and is not wanting to take care of any problem pertaining to their product. Their customer service representative told me that it was out of warranty and that it is not covered. So basically, the enamel in the LG oven that costs around $1,000 is only meant to last 2 to 3 years. DONT BUY ANY LG PRODUCTS OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

I purchased an LG refrigerator, double oven, dishwasher, cooktop, and built-in microwave from Home Depot in September 2010 (Along with all new cabinets, total spending was $30K; LG appliance spending was $5k.) After six months, the icemaker stopped producing ice; we called LG, and they replaced the icemaker promptly and at no additional cost. Six months later, the ice cube production started to slow; another six months passed, and ice production stopped. We called LG who directed us to an authorized service provider. The service provider came to the house, checked a few items, lowered the temperature, and turned off the energy saver button. I was charged $127.00. A month later, the service provider came back because the problem wasnt resolved and installed a new icemaker and circuit board. Problem is still not resolved. I called LG to make them aware of the continued failures of the service provider, and they set up a service call for me with their guy. Turns out, he wasnt their guy, and he wanted another $60.00. The problem had not been resolved, and I refused to pay. So, I called LG again while their guy was here (5th call in 2 months). I was once again told by LG it wasnt their problem, that I needed to pay the new service provider, and if I had any continued problems, contact either service provider (neither of which seems to be able to resolve the problem) and deal with them. Ive never been treated so callously and have sworn off LG forever. Please dont buy LG

I bought an LG Range model LRE3981ST from Home Depot in February 2011. On July 2011, I noticed rust spots on the front door of the range; I called service and booked a tech to come out. After waiting for an hour (and now late for work), the technician called me and said he did not have approval for the service call, and it will be a $75 charge. I was also asked why I didn’t read the service contract, so I told him not to bother to come out. I called the customer service and pulled it out of them that there is a service call fee of $75.00. I called Home Depot and explained the situation. They said they will give me the $75.00 fee back on my credit card, and to go ahead in booking an appointment. I tried today (August 10) to make an appointment. LG said to call back on August 15 since they will not show any available appointments until that date. I was also told that rust spots are not covered. Why did I pay for an extended warranty? I will now never buy another LG product again.

I contacted LG and they told me that I would have to have a technician come out and look at it. I decided to do that myself. I opened the back of the fridge and look around and noticed a fuse looked a little burnt. I got a better light and was sure the fuse had burned out. I didn’t see how to replace the fuse without removing the entire motherboard. I contacted LG and told them what I seen. They stated that they don’t replace the fuse but only replace the entire motherboard and it cost a few hundred dollars. I took it apart, replaced the fuse and now it happened again a few months later. I live alone and don’t really even use the fridge as a large family would. He ordered a part, replaced it, and still the same, now they canceled todays appt, for no reason, and apparently tomorrow another tech will come to check again, then they will keep changing parts and guessing what it is. I told Customer Service that I have been like these for 2 wks already, with nowhere to cook, and I needed these to be fix ASAP. I told them to please change my new range for another one. Mine has become refurbish since they keep replacing parts, its not original no more. But LG continues to allegate, that they cannot do anything but just wait for the tech to see what it is. They say they cannot change my equipment for a new one, it can ONLY be repaired. I hope any issues like this will be covered under the Manufacturers Warranty, but I can see this is not true. At the end the Consumer can not even respond in the proper way and solve anything. What a shame. I am very disappointed, and for sure WILL NOT BUY OR RECOMMEND THIS BRAND TO ANYBODY.

LG front load washer (WM0642HW) - The washer vibrates horribly when in the spin cycles! Our whole house shakes! You can hear the vibration outside the home! The floor vibrates when washer is in spin cycle! We have bought several different kinds/brands of shock-absorbers and installed them under each leg of the washer. Still no help! This is obviously a manufacturing defect. We called LG and they sent a certified LG appliance repair man to our home. All he would tell us was: LG makes a great product and use less than half the recommended amount of detergent to control the ‘smell’.” This is my second contact to you. I purchased a double door with bottom freezer, an LG refrigerator model LFD22860. One year after purchase, the cover on the electronic control started to melt (was covered under warranty). Two years later, the right side door seal ripped, and I called the warranty service line. I was told it’s the first time they hear of this problem, and that my warranty was over anyway. I had it fixed by a local repair company at $189.71 for a seal. Immediately within 24 hours, the door was rubbing with other side and started to get damaged. I called the service company to verify if it’s an alignment issue, but the doors are fixed on dowel pins and cannot be aligned! The only thing we could do is to put Vaseline to the doors often (RIDICULOUS). Anyway, even with Vaseline both sides, it ripped within a few months (I wasn’t about to pay $400 for seals!). It doesnt end here. Upon closer inspection, we noticed approximately ten cracks everywhere inside the fridge. This absolutely DISGUSTED me. We paid $2200 for this pile of junk, thinking it would last us for some time. Im fed up of big name companies getting away with cheap products sold in todays market. All they could tell me was that my warranty was over and that they cant do anything about it. Since then, I have never bought another product from them, and never will including my family & friends.

I do use the tub clean, vinegar, and bleach but still have brown slime covering my clothes and bedding. I think it has made my husband and I sick from the mold and mildew that we cannot get to and clean. We are told to leave the door open so it can dry! Doing a load of wash was an excruciating experience with our new top loading LG washer. Kept stopping, flashing uE or UE signals, requiring a load redistribution which many times did not work requiring more load redistribution! It took hours to do a load of wash, could not leave the house, not knowing how long it would take to complete the cycle. Every so often a load would run right through raising expectations that this washer was finally doing what it was supposed to be doing only to realize that dysfunction was the norm. We were told we were not distributing the load evenly?! Does it now take a rocket scientist to load a washing machine, obviously with this one it does. We were told maybe we didnt have enough clothes in, just add more! Like clean ones? I thought this was eco friendly? We finally had a repairman (kid) in. He was very nice, and ordered a new computer board saying sometimes the washer didnt learn right. OK, so I now have a learning disabled washer, but hey it was getting remedial learning! Good... right. In the meantime I was advised to use the low spin option. About 2 weeks later the new computer board is installed, but was still advised to use the low spin option, really, whats that about, wasnt it just fixed? But anyway, delighted that I now had an A+ washing machine, OK maybe a B+, I loaded it up, still using the low spin option as advised, even after the brain implant, and guess what? The load went right through! Success, shes a genius! Alas, the success must have shorted out the new brain. Its now back to playing the same old games, and me, never knowing when a load will go through as it should. And guess what?? the low spin option is no longer an option! Skips right over that. Maybe she did learn something.

I was elated when I received the long overdue recall letter from LG! But much to my dismay, the recall repair has made a bad thing worse. I immediately called LG to schedule such repair and after the first visit, the machine has lost its track of time as well as the continuation of the UE error activity. Now a 35-minute speed wash can last all day if you do not babysit the machine and catch it before it starts ANOTHER rinse on the spin cycle. To top the matter off, the repair company sent by LG, Infinity Solutions, out of Irving Texas cannot keep a scheduled appointment! I have now missed 2 days of work by staying home to meet someone who does not show up. The excuses are unending. LG WASHER WT5001CW SERIAL 006KWWZ00297 - We purchased this EXPENSIVE washer in December 2010 before my auto accident and I had a great job. We loved it while it was working properly!!!! Now 4 1/2 years later, I am disabled and my wife of 32 years left. I live on very little thru no fault of my own and now this washer has been down for 5 weeks. Approx a year ago, we started having trouble with excessive vibration thru all cycles. This machine does not have an agitator and is a top load wave force washer. We called LG and found out it was under recall. LG sent techs out and changed out the main computer board free of charge. We noticed that the cycles got longer and we still had a vibration although it was better. We were told that it would get better over time. It did not so we just lived with it. Then 5 weeks ago my daughter came to wash clothes for me. During a rinse cycle, it sounded like the world came to an end. Upon inspection, the entire pulsator assy. came apart (bottom plate, center cap and center bolt) and hit the glass top. After dealing with LG multiple times, finally, a tech was sent out. It was the same guy who had previously change out the computer board. He got on the phone with his company and scheduled a repair tech. A week later, he shows up wanting an upfront payment (NOT!!!!!) so he left. I called LG. Now they say there is no record of our contacting them. I have begged these folks for help. Finally I got a number of an authorized LG repair person locally. Now it seems that the main bearing has gone out and most likely for what its gonna cost to fix this washer is over half what I paid for it - SERIOUSLY????????? The machine is 4 1/2 years old and if this is what service and longevity LG products now have, then I have bought my last one - I can go back to a brand new standard washer for what it will cost to fix this thing. SHAME ON YOU LG!!!!! I understand all things can break down, but your customer service is now CRAP.

My husband and I bought our LG refrigerator about 14 months ago. We were not offered an extended warranty and did not think to purchase one in the midst of the chaos of purchasing our first new home. Setting that aside, I recently contacted LG with a problem and they refused to help us saying I needed to pay a service company to come out for something I feel they should take responsibility for. The issue being that a screw had come loose behind the ice maker and completely unaware, had dropped into our ice causing it to go into my husbands smoothie. While in the NutriBullet I heard a noise, assuming it was the ice, like it always does, then when it continued I went to stop the machine, it was too late, because just then the screw burst out the side causing a terrible mess everywhere. Now I need to replace the cup and chopped up blade to our NutriBullet. LG wants to take no responsibility whatsoever. I personally feel they should at least send me a replacement screw and possibly help pay for the replacements. My opinion is this was a defect and should be covered, being it was barely out of the warranty period. I am just glad that no one swallowed that screw causing physical damage. My advice... Be sure to get an extended warranty, if its not offered, ask for one! Products just arent built like they used to be! (It was quite baffling trying to figure out where a white screw came from... Until I traced it back to the ice machine, and there it was, an empty hole behind the ice container.) Now to find a replacement screw for it, I cant afford to pay for a service call for a little screw. Amazing how something so tiny can make such a big mess! :/

I bought an LG French door ref. in May 2014, now is rusting on the doors. I contacted LG and they say it is not covered under warranty. They say it is cosmetic. I paid apx. $2,000.00 for it. It is the stainless steel doors that are rusting and I believe that is not cosmetic as it is the door not the look of it. They have been anything but helpful and I will never again buy, not recommend them to anyone. I have cancelled my other order for a dishwasher. I have other stainless appliances by other companies and they are older and just fine.

We purchased an open box LG washing machine from Best Buy; first they changed the delivery date without notice; fast forward five months, this washing machine flooded our brand new house THREE TIMES. LG sent a technician out one week later because they only have limited amount of service for this area; the technician couldnt find the problem and after the third visit, and us videotaping the washing machine during the wash to see where the water was coming from, the technician said it was fixed. Well, we requested him to stay and watch and finally, he see the problem that LG never heard of. After one month, LG finally decide to issue a request to Best Buy to issue a refund since the washing machine was under warranty. After I go to Best Buy, I am told that their store policy is not to issue a credit back to the credit card, but to issue a store credit. In other words, they force you to purchase something from their store rather than shop at a store that has a better return policy. Warning: Dont EVER purchase a major item from Best Buy.

The LG refrigerator was on sale. It went beyond expectations. I like the color, ice maker, it was easy to clean and very spacious. I loved the freezer. It matched perfectly with my other appliances. The shelves were set perfect for large and small items. But heavy, loud, handle breaks easy. It was hard to move or slide, it was a real chore just to clean underneath it. You had to be very careful when opening and closing the door because of its weight. But I was very pleased with the refrigerators overall performance. I would definitely have another. It was easy to see what was in the refrigerator.

I purchased the stove (LG Free Standing Stove) in November 2009. The electronics went out in October of 2010 and were replaced. In October of 2011, the electronics went out again. We contacted our LG repair person and waited for the new circuit board to come in. This is June and the board finally arrived (we have used the stove top only as the oven goes off as does the stove top, but easier to see). The new board was installed and now the stove does not work. The repair person replaced the old board and now the stove does not work. What recourse do I have at this point?

We have only had this LG French door refrigerator since February and we have run into the same problem with the fan freezing twice this year. To make matters worse, we went through both LG and HHgregg - it was a hassle from hell. Going between two services for repair is long and painful. The tech guy came and had it working for 4 hours. We have tried everything. We are not happy with this product, but it seems like they want us to wait until theres a third problem that occurs. Right now it has, so now we wait. Bottom line: They need to give us a new fridge!
