Opened my refrigerator only to find the items on the top left hand shelf were warm. To my dismay, the cover over the lights was dropped down because the countersunk area for the screw keeping the cover in place was melted away. Not sure if this is a fire hazard so I removed the lights just in case. Not sure if anyone even reads this stuff so I will have to go out and purchase another refrigerator. It wont be another LG product.

What a horrible product! The oven is completely uneven, the warming drawer doesnt warm and worst of all, the core inside the knobs keep breaking. They are made of a very poor plastic and now I find out they are 69.00 US a pop!! (I am Canadian so right now 100.00 x 5 knobs.) Cheaper to buy a new stove!!! I have asked just for the cores, but of course, they only sell the knob and thus I throw more LG crap into landfill. I have tried to talk to management but all I get is the poor woman who answers the phone to read to me their no response! I will never buy LG again! This was a 2000.00 investment for my new kitchen - the worst worst purchase ever!

In 2005, I purchased the LG WM1832CW washer and from the beginning, I got an OE error code which indicates a motor overload. I had a service contract and Best Buy was great in sending a repair person to troubleshoot and ultimately replaced the motor. We still have the occasional OE code, but LG told us to reduce the amount of detergent and always use high-efficiency detergent. The smell started and there was a black mold around the front tub seal and smelly clothes. Initially, I thought that the smell was due to sweaty football gear, but it continued after the season. We have used vinegar, bleach, you name it, yet it still smells. Now, Ive had two leaks that flooded my laundry room and I cant find the cause. My guess is that the front door seal is not seating properly every time.

I WONT BUY A LG ELECTRIC RANGE AGAIN. The LG Range Oven model # LRE383ST01 we purchased in 2015 has been nothing but trouble. In the first year the burner and main board went out. Luckily we were still under the warranty so LG sent their technician to replace them. A few weeks after the warranty expired, the glass top made a pop noise and cracked like a spider web on the lower right burner and spread. We called LG, explained the situation and told them this seems a factory part defect. They politely blamed us of dropping something on the glass which was 100% false and they used we are sorry to gently fade their fault with this. We let it go - not to waste our time. Price of a new glass top is near $400. Couple month after the new range top was installed the new glass top cracked again. It couldnt happen at a better time but Christmas Eve 2016, with having family over, around 4 pm while food cooking, the glass top made a loud pop noise and broke again on the lower right burner. Here was my experience with LG Range and dealing with the company who took the easy road to blame the customer for their defective part. Now I have an expensive LG range-oven with another broken glass top. My recommendation: Stay away from LG Range with glass top.

We bought an LG dishwasher in December of 2018 and just 4 months later it totally crapped out. We called LG and they wanted to send a service repairman that was more than two hours away from us. He wanted $1000 upfront to come out as he didn’t want to fight with LG to get paid. We said no. Not for a $700 dishwasher. So we got a guy who is only 40 minutes from our house and is very reputable to come and look at it. When he pulled it out he discovered the control switch had caught fire and burned a hole in the bottom of my cupboard! It could’ve burnt my house down!At time of purchase we bought an extended warranty only to find out it’s not worth the paper it’s written on because we live too far away from the city we bought it. Also the control panel was completely fried. They wouldn’t consider paying us for the guy that came out because he’s not registered with them. Still fighting with them to see if we can get our money back as we don’t want something that is a fire hazard in our house. Do not purchase LG products! They are crap.

On June 28, 2020 I noticed my fridge was not keeping things cold. I called a refrigerator repair company and it turns out my compressor went bad. I have only had the fridge for 5 yrs and 3 months. I called LG customer service on June 29, 2020, and was told they would replace the part but wouldnt pay for the service. It is going to cost over $600 to have the compressor replaced. I did some additional research and it appears LG has a problem with defective compressors. In fact, there was a lawsuit filed against them for this very reason. I asked to speak to a manager about the repair cost and Vergie refused to transfer me to one. She also would not provide the name of the manager that said they would not cover the repair costs. Its not like I asked for a new fridge, I just want them to pay for a problem they know they have. This will be the last time I purchase a LG product!

As a new home owner, we purchased a full line of LG products. Extremely excited to have the new sleek appliances in our new home, we felt accomplished. After 3 years of ownership, we started having a problem with the ice dispenser freezing. We called into the service desk. They said this wasnt covered in the manufacturers warranty. After replacing a few parts here and there (being parts changers), we decided to call in a repairman. They let us know that the problems we were having have been covered under the warranty, and that we needed to call LG back. After calling in the service center, they agreed to allow one of their servicemen come in and service our unit. Their technicians came in and removed our refrigerator (for 2 months). They brought it back with a new compressor and a bill for the labor. They explained that if the computer board on the front of the unit was not working, we would need to replace that portion out of pocket. So we purchased the circuit board ($100), but the unit still did not work. We called back in to LG. They said we purchased the wrong one. We needed to purchase the other ($80). So we did, but still nothing. After talking with a friend, I decided to purchase the capacitor. The part was delivered on Saturday. I installed the part and 10 minutes later, the part exploded. Literally, white smoke blowing into the ceiling of the kitchen. After replacing parts, paying for parts that were not the problem and getting the runaround from the service center, we purchased a Whirlpool. We will never purchase another LG product again. We will make sure that all of our friends and neighbors hear our story. Most of them have had the same problem with LG.

This washer is not a true balance washer as stated. It will pause with the UE code so I can redistribute the clothes or fill with water and try to re balance on its own adding an additional 10 min to 3 hours worth of wash time every single load. It will display UE regardless of light, medium or heavy loads. It wont even allow me to do the full tub clean option without pausing with the UE. No kidding!! I have called LG in regards to this matter and they state that the washer must not be balanced (and I assure you it is and has been checked with a level to see if I am losing my mind.) I do not understand why this washer is being sold still and not recalled. This is in regards to the LG Model WT4870CW Washer.

Contacted LGs customer service after major issues with the refrigerator one year and three weeks old. We were transferred to multiple customer service agents. Placed on hold at one point 2 1/2 hours. Funny thing is the message that plays when youre on hold how our time is so valuable to them. Each time you get a customer service representative you have to start from the beginning, Even though supposedly every phone call is documented.Of course, any reasonable person would escalate in their frustration with each one of these phone calls that were made. Not to mention the multiple times we were being transferred and hung up on and had to call back. Absolutely nothing is done until I had to raise my voice and demand to speak to someone that can get something done. When I finally got a corporate supervisor on the phone it took him less than 20 minutes to schedule an appointment and extend the warranty to have the refrigerator serviced. Any reasonable company that stand by their product would have done this from the beginning. I will never purchase another LG product and I will tell everyone I know to think twice before they make a purchase.

Lifes Good company need to change their name to Lifes Terrible. Recently my refrigerator broke down and its been out of service for about one month now. My husband has contacted LG customer service on numerous occasions. They supposedly arranged (via telephone) for a repair company in our area to come by and service the refrigerator. My husband sat around all day waiting on someone to show up to repair the refrigerator (because they didnt have a definite time a repair technician would stop by). Needless to say, the whole day was wasted, because no one showed up to repair the refrigerator. When my husband called the local appliance company that supposedly had the order to come and repair the refrigerator, they knew nothing about a service order to repair our refrigerator. When my husband spoke with a customer service representative, he was told that the local company would contact him. To this date, no one locally has contacted us. He has spoken with customer service on numerous occasions. He called a company in a city about 150 miles away, if that far, and was told they didnt travel that far to make repairs. He has spoken with customer service at LG on numerous occasions and keeps getting the run around about how they understand being without a refrigerator for a month, but they havent made any progress to fix the situation. Whats worse about this situation is that we own two of LGs refrigerators. We will NEVER, I repeat NEVER purchase another LG appliance or anything else that LG owns, because they have been very apathetic about our situation and doesnt care that weve lost a lot of food that was in the refrigerator and freezer. We are improvising with a little dorm refrigerator and they are not doing ANYTHING to remedy this situation. Were going to tell everyone we know, dont purchase LG appliances or anything that has LGs label attached to it. The lack of service is unacceptable and the absolute worse experience weve ever faced with any purchase, large or small. Life IS NOT good with LG. LG change your name!

Stupidly, I purchased LG front load washer/dryer from Best Buy in Ocala, FL
Stupidly, I purchased LG front load washer/dryer from Best Buy in Ocala, FL May 2014. February 2015 it started leaking on the final spin cycle. I phoned LG and they referred me to a local company for service. They came to my residence, of course, couldnt find the leak. He left and stated if the problems persists to phone LG. Well, sure enough, that Saturday I used the washer and it leaked. I phoned LG and found them to be extremely rude and uncooperative. He told me it was my detergent. I explained that I have used Gain packets ever since I had the washer and if this was the problem why didnt this occur last year? Well, he obviously didnt get it. He just kept saying it was my laundry detergent. I finally, in total exasperation, told him that I was very angry and was hanging up. That week, I played his game. I bought Wisk, in a bottle. Well I had 3/4 of a load and I put the detergent in the cup well below the normal line! Well, you guessed it, IT LEAKED. I phoned Best Buy in Ocala, FL and spoke to **. He was very nice and stated, LG needs to replace the washer. ** called LG. HOWEVER, they wanted the service man to come out again. Well, he did, and no, he couldnt find the leak. Just used this worthless washer and it leaked again. I phoned Best Buy in Ocala, FL and spoke to **. Couldnt reach **, they supposedly have two **s. Well ** was of no help. When I told him ** said the washer should be replaced, he stated he couldnt help me as I didnt BUY EXTENDED WARRANTY! Youve got to be kidding me. Its still under the original warranty. Best Buy sold it...Best Buy should help customers. But thats not the case. Ive cancelled my Best Buy credit card, I will never go there again. This is outrageous. To spend this kind of money and have these problems. My other washers lasted 15-20 years and I never had any problems. This is the first and last front loader that I will buy and also my first and last LG appliance. They are junk. Everyone needs to be aware. Go back to top load washers -- They are cheaper and stand the test of time!

200 characters isnt enough to explain, LG wont offer up they know about the issue and that they extended all warranties on the linear compressor to 5 years. My refrigerator was purchased on Nov. 1, 2017. https://lgcommunity.us.com/discussion/3871/important-lg-refrigerator-warranty-information-announcement-please-read. Opened case with LG support, LG happily said that my refrigerator is under warranty when my LG account for registering my appliances clearly says it is out of warranty. You have to call the number in the link that I added to get the warranty work. Talking with the agent, who was pleasant to speak with, also came back and said that LG will also offer to pick up the cost of the Labor on this call as a complimentary service. Really? It is stated in the warranty that Labor is covered! So much for the fake gesture, is Life Good? Anyway, back to my story. Now that I finally got to the bottom of all this, we have a service ticket generated and the agent is working to confirm a service technician in my area to take the service call, stating we will have someone within 24 hrs. Ok, well we all know by now, 3 days after the refrigerator has stopped cooling and at 61 degrees, all of our food is no longer safe to eat. It is now exactly 24hrs from placing my service call with LG and still no confirmed service technician on the case, when-o-when will my refrigerator cool again? And Ill just leave all discussion about the pandemic going on right now, ugh...As I continue to do more research about this topic, how many of you are aware of the class action suit against LG for this exact issue? ** I guess it pays to do your research. After the cost of a technician to tell me the compressor isnt functioning properly and a hum hum nudge nudge on the shoulder saying check this out, I discovered all this and am now expecting my refrigerator to be fixed for free. Once it is fixed I have to ask one more question. Is the new compressor covered by a 5 year warranty from the day it was installed, it should be! After all, we all know that this compressor will also fail within the next 36 months, give or take. This is the second generation linear compressor and LG has yet to fix its know issues, I am not aware of a 3rd generation compressor coming out any time soon. If you continue to research you will find that LG has already gone through a class action suit for this same issue on compressors prior to these. I hope this was some what helpful to anyone reading this and doing their own research into an LG refrigerator. Anyone looking for a French Door Refrigerator? I have one for sale!

We bought a home with an LG French door freezer on bottom refrigerator. The compressor failed suddenly, we lost all of our food. I’ve since learned from other stories that LG compressors are not reliable. When I called LG, I was told that because we did not know when the unit was purchased, they would only honor their seven year sealed system repair warranty from the date of manufacture, which was (drumrolls) seven years and three months ago. Despite the fact that the refrigerator was very likely purchased less than seven years ago, they would not pay for the repair. We decided not to go forward with the repair, as I am uninterested in paying for repairs to a shoddy product. We bought a new refrigerator, naturally not an LG. We won’t be considering any LG products in the future, as any company that would cut corners with a central element of their product, and then treat customers in such a rigid, bureaucratic manner is not to trusted.

We purchased an LG lsxs26326s side by side refrigerator (as well as a microwave, oven & dishwasher as we remodeled our kitchen) in April 2015. On Dec 16, 2016 it had stopped cooling. Fortunately, we have a 20+ yr old Kenmore in the basement we were able to move all the food to. Had our own repairman come out Sunday to see what the problem was. Determined the compressor in our ONE AND A HALF YEAR OLD refrigerator had gone out. Now, this part has a TEN YEAR warranty through LG (hm, maybe that should have told us something) HOWEVER, only the PART is covered NOT labor. Sunday night I call LG Service and after a very long and frustrating discussion with someone who barely spoke English, I was informed a Letter of Authorization would be sent by email to our repairman so he could order the part. I requested a rush on that letter as it was a week until Christmas & we had family coming from out of town. Monday, no letter. Tuesday, still no letter. I call again Tuesday night and am informed they tried calling the repairman and got no answer or return call (I know this is a lie as I spoke with them that day to confirm contact from LG). At this point, I demand to have the matter escalated and to speak to a manager. I get put on hold for a while and FINALLY get a manager, whom I might add speaks English clearly (YAY). She proceeds to tell me something completely different than I was told by the previous two reps. Stating they have to talk to the tech while they are at the refrigerator and able to guide them through what to check. THEN, once diagnosed as the compressor the letter of authorization would be sent so the tech could order the part, which would take 3-5 DAYS to receive!!!Now, I am getting angry. She tells me they had available techs on the 20th, 21st & that day (22nd) so I could have just had their tech come out and diagnose it and they would have had the compressor the next day. I told her there was no way in hell I was paying THEIR techs an arm & a leg to fix the refrigerator I purchased a YEAR & HALF ago when my guy was only charging me $60/hr!!! Her response was simply OH. Finally, she send the letter of authorization by email while still on the phone with me. Wednesday morning, I call my tech & they have the email (THANK GOD). They order the part. Thankfully, it comes on Thursday and our guy comes out that evening to replace it. Now, a month later, we are having problems with the ice maker not making ice. UGH!!! I wish we would have just gone with different appliances. I will NEVER EVER EVER purchase another LG product. Purchasing these appliances has literally been a nightmare. They should have paid us to take them for what we have been through with all these appliances!

LG Washing machine model #wm4270hwa. Purchased this unit from Best Buy on 2-19-15. Ran flawlessly for 8 months, then it started to sound like a jet engine. Called LG on 1-5-16 and after transmitting tones to a tech over the phone he informed me that I needed to run the tub clean cycle. Ran the tub clean and no help. Called back and was informed that the unit was out of warranty. Spoke to two separate supervisors to no avail. LG will not help, Best Buy will not help. I called a local appliance repair, $180.00 to walk in. Repairman took a look and told me it was a catastrophic failure. Bearings, tub, stator, tub seals etc. were bad. So here I am, stuck with a thousand dollar washing machine that will cost as much if not more than I paid to repair. Will never buy anything from LG, also, I will tell my story to everyone! Shortly after having purchased my stove at a price tag of $1500.00, the control panel went. I replaced it on my dime. The oven emits heat so intense the paint is discolored and peeling near the vent from the oven. The other day I turned the oven on to preheat and went into another room when I heard a horrid noise from the kitchen. I returned to see smoke pouring from the oven and the breaker on my electric panel had popped (fortunately). All lights were flashing and I have not been able to contact LG service lines to report this and inquire into what on earth happened. I will never buy LG again as there are no service people in our city who will touch it. The one company who will service this product put the control panel in upside down when I replaced it and I had to have them make another house call to fix the mess. They are supposed to be trained LG service people. YEAH! I am still sitting here without a stove because I cannot connect with LG. This is the 4th appliance (6 in total) that is nothing but crap! The model # LRE30453SB is the range that we own! I have had a technician out 4 times in 7 months to fix problems! The sensor has been replaced twice and the brain box once, and last week (11/8/2012), they were back again because of the same problem (sensor). This time, they put goop in the back of it to keep it from making the sensor noise. All I want is to have decent appliances! Luckily for me, this range has an extended warranty! My fridge wasnt so lucky. Well, I should say we are so lucky - $500 in medicine and food wasted! LG doesnt care! They wont do anything! The list goes on and on for ** appliances! The dryer and washer have both had to have repairs to them within the first year; the range, 4 times in 7 months. Now the fridge! Something needs to be done! This is a lot of money that I dont have to replace the food lost, and potentially new fridge! Do something.

The LG steam washer I purchased about 3 years ago has been problematic and I would strongly advise against purchasing one of these units. The malodorous tub in this front loader is likely secondary to the water retention within the gasket Despite leaving the door open to dry, something unnecessary in any top loader, the musty black mildew persists! Obviously an engineering design flaw, the tub cannot empty completely. Despite leveling this machine on a concrete floor with the drawer pedestal, the machine shakes and rattles and dances over the concrete floor. The machine will never stay in one place despite attempts to keep it there irrespective of load weights. This machine is a piece of junk and LG will not listen to these complaints. Waste of money should have bought the Miele. All of their products are superbly German engineered! Please enlist a class action suit. The trailing entries are testament to the litany of problems.

I have been an LG customer for very long with almost all appliances being from LG. However my dishwasher problem has disappointed me greatly. I have an dishwasher model D1452WF which is my 2nd LG dishwasher over a period of 15 years. However after 4 years of using D1452WF, I noticed start of rusting of both the upper and lower racks/trays. I thought it was just a minor issue and continued using. But now after one more year, I have noticed that the rust has increased. The spares racks cost around US$215. I am really disappointed. What is the use of a 10 year motor warranty when the inside trays start rusting much earlier. I use salt regularly to soften the water. I have no other problems with the machine. So there is no point in buying such an equipment unless they make reliable parts as well.

Recently purchased a home with this stove in the kitchen. Within days I noticed how easy it is to bump the knob and turn on a burner! I warned my fiancé but he didn’t listen and set some paper plates on top of the stove and must’ve bumped a knob. We were getting ready to leave and happened to come back inside for something when I smelled smoke and we found the plates and their packaging in flames! Wondering when LG is going to acknowledge this problem?! Like others have said, I would feel bad even trying to give this thing away. It’s awful.

The seals on my GM-B208STS French door fridge and the latch needed replacing in April 2013 after I had bought the fridge in November 2010. LG replaced them out of goodwill since I was 4 months out of warranty. Now, 13 months later, the seals are ripping in the same place.

Didnt buy an extended warranty because all my old refrigerators have ran for 12 years plus. And LG claims life is good. Well life is not good when your 2 year old refrigerator takes a dump and you just cant have anyone come and repair your refrigerator because LG only sell replacement parts to LG certified technicians. Their list of certified technicians is very limited and have horrible reviews in yelp. This is my first LG appliance and it will be my last.

I am having the same problem everyone else is having with their refrigerator. It broke down nearly three weeks ago. I do have a warranty which pays for parts but not repair, however all my food was bad and needed to be thrown away. Had a service man, who was very nice and helpful, who stayed for hours trying to figure out what was wrong. Finally after coming back many times he realized it might be the compressor. Had to order it thru LG which came 5 days later. Now realize I have no refrigerator at this time that works. Couldnt they send it over night delivery? Okay, now service man puts the new compressor in and the next day it worked!! Started getting ice, went to the store to buy food and spent $200. Very happy until today one day later, I wanted to defrost my London broil, which happened to be defrosted already because my refrigerator was broken again. I knew something was up when I had a smell in my kitchen. If there will be a suit against LG I would love to be a part of it. This refrigerator was a lot of money and Im sure everyone else feels this way too! I will never buy an LG product again!!!

My fridge broke down September 27, 2018 and I have been calling LG customer service about every 3 days and keep getting a complete runaround. They bounced me from service provider to service provider promising they would cover the parts and labor. None of their providers in our area were willing to come. Im only one hour from New York City!!! Since they failed to provide a service provider I found my own and after about 20 hours on the phone with LG over several weeks got them to agree to cover the parts and labor for the provider I found. They promised a letter of authorization on 3 different occasions to start the work and it never was sent. I finally lost it on the customer service rep and they said they would consider replacement since I waited so long... only to be informed on my next call that this request was denied. Ive spent at least 30 hours on the phone with their customer support and it is November 27, two months later and absolutely no progress in two months. Im lost and extremely disappointed. Im a pretty patient person and hardly ever write reviews like this but the service I have seen is awful!!! I will never buy an LG again and will warn everyone I know to never buy LG.

I have had this washing machine 3 years now. We have two kids so we do a load a day. The machine washes satisfactorily. But then again, most washing machines do. What I would like to caution you against are the high cost of spare parts you WILL NEED as well as the complexity of repairing this machine. When I finally bought this machine, I had read a few reviews about how the rubber gasket inside the door started to smell badly after 6 months or so. I was so enticed by the steam part of the deal that I overlooked this point. Sure enough this Tromm washer has a huge rubber gasket inside the door. This part is very hard to clean as it has a concealed ledge inside. IT WILL START SMELLING after a few months of use no matter how much you clean the tub with bleach or how many times you clean the gasket. Your clothes will smell rotten after a wash. And when they dry they smell musty. This part which costs $130 can be changed by an appliance repair service. It is very hard to do it yourself because the machine has to be opened. Total cost for replacing the gasket is $253. Next... the drain pump will break also. Give it a couple of years or so. The drain pump costs $60 to replace and with the service call that comes to another $210 total. I was amazed the work that was needed to change this pump. First of all, the pump is located in the worst possible place, and the Tromm needs to be opened in multiple places to access this pump. The job took 45 minutes to replace the pump.I am now looking into a Whirlpool clothes washer and after investigating the same parts it seems they are much cheaper and much easier to change if the machine needs to be repaired. I for one will not be buying another LG steam washer.

So excited to renovate kitchen. Never had LG appliance but heard great thin
So excited to renovate kitchen. Never had LG appliance but heard great things so invested in ALL LG appliances: French door fridge, gas range, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer. Fridge: Linear compressor went out at 9 months. 20 phone calls and runaround before I could get LG to agree to service. Now, 6 months later, FF and E code seemingly freezer fan motor is defective. LG service tells me to unplug it for 8 hours and let it defrost all over My hardwood floors and “just put down towels.” And... If that doesn’t work, you need a new motor. BTW: The fridge to the floor is about 1/2 inch so no room for a towel.Gas’s range: Buyer beware. The knobs to light the stove will ignite if you lean on them and then slight turn. People with small kids are taking the knobs off. That is how easy it is to ignite the stove. Just last night my guest almost caught her sleeve on fire from leaning on a knob when talking to another friend. This stove needs recalled. I have tried but fell to deaf ears. Someone is going to be seriously burned, just a matter of time.Stove: Front started rusting 3 months after I got it. Of course they claimed user error. At that time only had used it about 10 times. Inside looked liked it had never been used. Got some of it off but still can see it. Washer: If you don’t clean the rubber gasket EVERY time you use the washer, water will run out the front. So far, knock on wood, love the dishwasher, microwave and dryer.Have had many defective things before and the difference is the service; standing behind products, great customer service, no hassle. That’s what keeps my business. I understand not everything is perfect, but take care of it and you will keep my business. LG FAILS in ALL OF THE ABOVE. Try to get ahold of them and when you finally do, it turns into us vs. them. Sooo disappointed and sick to my stomach knowing I now have another fail code on my fridge to deal with. I’m going back to Samsung. Much better quality and service.

Bought washing machine a little over 5 years. Front loader, very good looking LG model. One day the washing machine wasnt turning and started leaking water. Out of warranty, I decided to take it apart. I found that a piece of the back spider had broken off. The spider made a hole at the bottom of the plastic drum. Then, as you can see from the pictures noticed that the spider itself was crumbling into pieces. I bought the spider from SEARS parts and to my surprise the part was made by LG and it was bad, defective. When I inspected the spider had tiny cracks all over the place and in the crucial sections. My complaint is how can LG manufacture a spider that lasted less than 6 years and then does not try to fix its mistakes by improving the defective parts but just makes more of the same low quality.

We paid top dollar (over $3000) for an LG Linear refrigerator in June, 2015. In March, 2018, it began making strange clicking noises so we got online and followed some tutorials about how to fix it. Nothing worked. We had a repairman come and he had to replace the control board and fan, at a cost to us of about $600. Now here we are in October, 2019 and it’s doing the exact same thing. We are looking at having to replace both exact same things, only this time it will cost $690. We could have bought a new refrigerator for what we’ve spent on repairs in the past four years. I will never buy another LG product. Maybe the company will see this and offer some compensation, but I doubt it. It’s infuriating!

ALL appliances purchased June - Aug 2020 (they arrived at different times). I INSISTED on getting LG appliances, as I had only known them to be a superior product. BOY was I shocked at the horrible product they have become. Our new appliances were purchased all at once. Our washer was defective from the first day and had to be replaced, our new fridge is making strange sounds and needs to be repaired (I suspect it is the compressor), and our dishwasher refuses to latch closed on a regular basis. The reviews I read now are horrible and it sickens me that I saved for years to buy new appliances that are in my opinion, garbage. As far as LG goes, run away as hard and as fast as you can! Ps: their customer service in regards to the repairs were very rude in spite of my being polite. One young guy actually hung up on me after I had to call three times for a response! HORRIBLE product, HORRIBLE service...

Following in quotes is my last communication to LG about the warranty claim for my over-the-range microwave. Following their second opinion mentioned in the communication they finally replaced the unit. Honestly I have a house full of LG appliances and electronics and all in all I’m happy with them all but if my warranty experience is anything like standard, I hope your product never breaks. The following stands as my review: “I have a warranty claim for a $189 over the range microwave that’s been going on since 7/11 with 6 repair visits and another scheduled for 9/21. Everything has been replaced at least twice and some things 4 times and it still doesn’t work and still, regardless of my begging including a desperate letter to the company president, you refuse to replace the unit. Your last reply was that my request was denied and you were seeking a second opinion. Turns out it’s from the same repair company who have already sent two different technicians. Love your products. HATE your warranty service. Case **. Service costs listed on visit receipts exceed $1,700. Seems a bit much for a $189 unit. PLEASE HELP!!!”

I am buyer of fht1409zwl model, paid 38k INR. Biggest drawback is washing quality. (Reviewing after 15 day use) When I compare with my old top load washing machine it not even near by it. Second drum size for 9 kg are same as 7 and 8 kg. When I ask same thing from their representative they say their inner motor is differ, motherboard is different. Practically you cant put 9 kg cloths in one run. Waste of money for 9 kg. I am not writing this because of 7, 8 and 9 kg drum issues, but due to washing quality. I use other products of LG. They are extremely good, but not in case of WM. I dont need this product anymore. I love to use old one. BTW I am using other LG product like TV, refrigerator and they are working awesome. I bought my LG washing machine three years ago. It was recalled due to issues with the drum. I had a repair guy come out and fix it. I have continued to have issues. The drum is loud and bounces, hitting the inside of the machine. It is piercing loud! I called customer service and the associate told me to file a claim and proof of purchase stating they would replace it since I was continuing to have problems. When I called to follow up on the commitment, a supervisor stated that they would need to repair the machine multiple times before issuing a new one. A commitment should not have been made and instead they should have sent someone out. I do most of my wash on the weekend because I work and have small kids so Im busy during the week. I called again to ask for a repair person to come fix it and the representative stated that I would need to call from 8-5 so they could troubleshoot over the phone. I cannot take off work for this. The other frustrating aspect about dealing with this company is no accountability, being passed from employee to employee with no resolution. Also needing to repeat the entire issue over And over. I will never buy an LG product again and will use social media to get my story out to family And friends so they know the issues I have had.

I purchased an LG top load washing machine and have been completely unsatisfied since the day I bought it. My clothes suddenly smell. I was told that is because on newer machines the drain is closer to the clothes, if that makes sense. The drain pump has broken twice. It is not a part that is in stock, so we often have to wait for the part to get it before the machine can be fixed. It also has the off balance problem that many have already mentioned. It is hard to get it balanced. Obviously, this washing machine has a defect with the drain. They should take responsibility and replace it, but are not willing. The LG refrigerator drawer broke, while the delivery man was still here. It was replaced, but after that, the whole thing started falling apart. The French door shelving falls out frequently, and things hit the kitchen floor. Half of the shelves have broken off, and are not fixable. The meat and both the vegetable drawers have had the clear plastic front break out, and the rollers break off. The meat drawer casing is cracked on the top. The icemaker overflows, and ice flies across the kitchen floor. The light overheats, and the light bulb cover warped from heat, then fell off. The magnetic door seals are floppy and poorly designed, so the fridge has to be closed a special way, to keep it from beeping, and letting me know the doors are improperly closed. All of this happened in the first year. After hours and hours, on the phone with LG, for a couple of weeks, someone finally approved a temporary extension of warranty, and we had the drawer rollers, magnetic door seals, and ice maker fixed. They all broke again within a few weeks.

This is the WORST appliance I have ever owned! Second day after receiving it we had to call repair out due to ice forming in freezer. So much ice in freezer we couldnt pull out the drawers. LG said it was a design flaw and fixed it. Fast forward. Luckily we had taken the extended warranty out for 5 years. In the 5 years we owned it before the warranty was up we had to have it repaired a total of 5 times with the last repair being the refrigerator totally stopped cooling. LG replaced the circuit board and said that should fix it. It didnt. They came back out and replaced the compressor. This fixed it but not totally. We were without a refrigerator for 1 full month. We had to turn the temperature lower than what it was actually cooling. I should have called them out again at that point but it was cooling. About a month after the warranty was out it stopped cooling to where it should be. Called repair again. They refused to work on it. Said they did everything they could do. Plus if it was the compressor again we would have to pay for labor. Also if it was the control panel, they only have refurbished parts because they dont make that anymore. We were concerned about it not being fixed after paying a bunch for labor so decided to have it taken to the dump after only 5 years and purchased a different brand that is made in the USA. We originally paid $2800 for this piece of crap!

I didn’t even realize a metal looking film was used on the knobs until it started bubbling after a few uses. A year and a half later the bottom oven displays an F19 code. An LG technician replaced the harness and the ignition. 2 years later the exact same issue happens. I contacted LG and they do offer warranties for faulty products. Their products are awful especially for what you pay. There are so many other brands who provide quality products at a reasonable price and stand behind their products. I will never purchase LG products again and DO NOT RECOMMEND their products especially their ranges, refrigerators and dishwashers. They all begin to have issues and fall apart within 2 years and you will have to keep having them repaired around every 2 years.

Bought the fridge April 2021, had it arrive May 2021. Started using it June 17th 2021. It stopped refrigerating July 4th weekend. Lost $250 worth of food. Called LG, got a work order number.. then no contact from anyone. Contacted LGs presidents office. Got a call saying that A&E would be dispatched to do the repair. 7/13/21 A&E tech arrives. Said he isnt qualified/trained to work on the fridge. 90 Mins later he says 7/29/21 they rescheduled the work order. No one called or arrived from A&E on that date. Aug 2nd, A&E texts me saying that its now Aug 10th.. 10 mins later they text saying Aug 17th. Today.. Aug 17th no one arrived, no one called.. two days taking the day off from work and blown off twice by A&E not showing up...So a $3700 fridge that has been broken since the beginning of July sits in our kitchen with no sign that it will be repaired, replaced, or working anytime soon.

I thought I had purchased a great 30 cubic French door refrigerator 5 years ago for $3k but I was wrong! I have been without a working refrigerator since Super Bowl Sunday 2017, it is now April 20th 2017 and still have no working refrigerator! LG had sent out their contractor a number of times and the back freezer fan and compressor has been changed twice and the gas valve changed and still it doesnt work! Customer service and executive team cant seem to help a mom with toddlers. I have been treated horribly, LG doesnt care! I recently went looking at new appliances at Home Depot and they recommend LG until I told them my story and that awesome salesman will no longer recommend LG! I will continue to tell my story until something is done to repair my fridge!

I trust this brand and I had other products of LG like cooking appliances, microwave ovens, dishwashers in past and always had positive experience about LG products. Cool innovations like space-saving features, eye-catching style and energy efficiency, love the alarm feature, the room for storage and the bottom drawer freezer. Everything worked well except the ice maker. The ice maker clogs frequently and has to be manually emptied or pounded from inside the door to release ice from the door ice dispenser. I had couple of service calls and it still did not function properly.

LG supervisor said that 3 items for my fridge are still under warranty and one of the items is a compressor. I asked the supervisor to send the compressor to me, but instead they want to send the compressor to their technician and the technician must come to my house. I had an experience with the technician about 2 weeks ago and the technician wanted to charge me over $400 for a problem that may not be the problem, and would charge me to fix other problems that might be the problem. Ripoff. Also, when the technician was at my house, he and the office said one thing to me but a different story to LG. I am in my 3rd week without a fridge. I spend money on ice, outside food and cold drinks.

Beware of LG front loader washing machine WD13020D, especially for Australian users. The plastic wash drum which surrounds the stainless steel wash bowl is easily pierced by Australian fifty-cent piece. LG wont accept responsibility and said the hole in the plastic drum is caused by foreign body (indigenous fifty-cent piece. Natural habitat: pockets). I have heard of several instances of this happening.

We have both a front load washer and dryer (Model WM0642H). Ive been reading the letters being sent for over an hour. I wish I had known about this site before I purchased any LG anything! The pump went out on our washer last fall. At that time, it was under the extended warranty. The tech came out and diagnosed the problem and ordered the part. In the meantime, we were going to the laundromat, at a cost of about $60 each time. I called the repair company after a week. They were still waiting for approval from the pump/repair - another $60 trip to the laundromat. I called after another week - still waiting, another $60 out the door. Finally, I called HHGregg for help. They contacted LG and finally got the ball rolling. Now, about 6-7 months later, the pump is gone again. How much money and how many trips to the laundromat will it take this time? My husband says he will just fix it himself this time, but you can get no help from LG. They will not give a customer the schematic. After reading all these letters, and from our experiences, we will never give another dollar to LG. Their products are not cheap dollar wise, but certainly are cheaply made. We are looking at refrigerators and were considering an LG. That will not happen! I cant believe I fell for the hype. LG appliances are rated among the best. Makes you wonder just how they got those ratings. It does not appear they were from actual customers!

We purchased an top of the line all stainless steel LG Washer and Dryer from Home Depot in 2009 and from day 1 had nothing but trouble with both of them. The washer was constantly out of balance even though the washer had the true balance system, then the computer board went bad, then the door switch and drain pump quit. The dryer has never dried correctly, it always takes about double the normal time to thoroughly dry. It has cost me over $500.00 to keep them running for less than 5 years, LG should be in the junk business as they excel at it.

I purchased a home which included appliances including my LG bottom freezer refrigerator (model number LRDC22744TT) this time last year and moved in in August. An internal leak developed in the refrigerator compartment, which was discovered to be a broken reservoir that feeds the water dispenser in the door. The reservoir was replaced by a local serviceman. Here 6 months later, the new reservoir cracks, clearly caused by defect in the component. Their response? Out of warranty. No replacement. LG (or NG, as I now refer to them) and I (and anyone else on Earth that I can persuade) are parting ways.

We purchased our new refrigerator along with an LG stove and microwave when
We purchased our new refrigerator along with an LG stove and microwave when we moved into our new home in 2016. Part of our decision was based on the experience we already had with our LG washer and dryer. Here we are now fighting issues with a refrigerator that should easily last 10+ years. If we had known previously about the compressor issues we would not have purchased this brand. Where are the lemon laws for refrigerators?Issue started with water on the floor and at first we thought the in-door ice maker was failing (more on this later), then two days later we noticed that ice cream was soft in the freezer and then a day later no cooling at all (by the way - all of this in the middle of COVID-19 quarantine and trying to make sure we had enough groceries on hand). It took approximately 1 1/2 weeks to get service on site for repair. The technician replaced the compressor and stated that the refrigerator would now run louder. Well, it was so loud we couldnt hear our tv in the next room without turning up the volume to almost maximum level.I pulled the refrigerator out and found that one of the copper tubes from the compressor was vibrating and rubbing on the rear cover. Called for service again to fix the noise issue. When he checked the refrigerator, he stated that he could find nothing wrong; however, he did release some of the coolant because he thought the compressor may have been overcharged and overheating. This seems to have resolved the noise issue. The in-door ice maker - noticed that after the compressor failed we now have water dripping intermittently out of the left hand door (the door with the ice maker). I mentioned this to service tech during his return visit and he said it was probably because I was leaving the door open too long and there was not enough cold air for the ice maker compartment. Ive had the refrigerator for not quite 4 years and never had this issue before - I dont think Ive changed how I use my refrigerator. This issue has not been resolved. We question how long the new compressor will last (4 years?). How much more electricity is the refrigerator using now as compared to before - seems to run a lot more now.

My refrigerator stopped working on July 5th. I contacted LG the next day and the soonest they could have one of their certified repair vendors out was July 8th. At that time they determined it was the compressor which was still covered by warranty. They ordered the part and we were given the runaround. One day the part is being shipped, the next days its on back-order. After 2 weeks and too many phone calls to count we are told that that part is discontinued and they would have to research to see what to do. WHY DO YOU DISCONTINUE A PART ON A REFRIGERATOR THAT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY???2 weeks ago they said the part was being shipped and should be in on July 30th. Today is August 8th and we are told today the part should be in by the end of the week - August 12th. As of now I have been without a refrigerator for 5 WEEKS!!! We looked into the part ourselves and found out that we could order the part online and get it installed tomorrow but LG refuses to reimburse us for the part which is the warranty item. We asked them why they couldnt order from this company and they said they dont do that. They offered no pro-rated refund on my fridge as they initially discussed so Im stuck with either sitting another week without a refrigerator in the middle of the summer or I have to buy the part myself and pay for the WHOLE THING or go out and buy an entirely new refrigerator. How would they feel if their family didnt have a refrigerator for over 5 weeks. Thank God I have a wonderful neighbor who is letting me use her garage refrigerator. I am also out several hundred $$ in food that I have had to throw out because there was nowhere for me to store it and keep it cold for this extended period of time. NEVER EVER BUY AN LG APPLIANCE!!!

I bought $4000 LG refrigerator LRMDC2306S in November 2020. It started giving me a problem with ice making and cooling from mid January, even less than 2 months. Then it completely stopped working on 2/7/2021. I had to throw so much food on Super Bowl Sunday morning. The CL E error code on the control panel turned out to be an issue with a compressor. The part is even backordered for 2 months. I requested a replacement. I didn’t want to deal with the repair since it is definitely a lemon with a major defect. This appliance is not reliable. It will give the same problem over and over even with the replacement of the compressor. Who wants to exchange a compressor at a brand new $4000 worth refrigerator?! Pacific Sales manager was no help. I talked to many people at Best Buy customer service. They didn’t want to do anything for a customer since their 15 day return period was over and I didn’t buy their Geek Squad protection. I was told LG’s replacement or reimbursement process takes up to 6 weeks and the approval is not even guaranteed. They may attempt to repair first. I have already lived without a refrigerator for a month and now I am unsure of how long I have to live more without it. I have been calling LG customer service 3-4 times every week for a month to follow up. I have to repeat myself whenever I call for 30-40 mins because the notes are not complete and they don’t have a matching report from a tech side. Return authorization department is never connected even with an hour wait. It is ridiculous you get to use a refrigerator only for 2 months and you don’t get any help or support despite $4000 spent on an appliance with a major defect. I’m so frustrated with all the inconvenience caused by this refrigerator. I hope Best Buy and LG build up a better follow up system and prompt return service for defective products.

I bought this refrigerator in Sept. 2012. January 2013 I experienced the 1F error message. LG had a tech come out and replace the computer board and the fan. January 2014 same thing happened. They replaced the control board and the fan (the original fan was recalled so a newer fan was put in place). January 2015 freezer frosting up again causing the fan to run all the time. LG says it’s out of warranty however it is the control board that is broke again. They sent a tech out that would not open the door until I gave them a check for $60.00. Then they tell me that LG is just refurbishing the old boards and sending them back to be put back in the refrigerator. They tell me they want $308.00 to replace and that I have to give them $150.00 before they would order. I can’t afford that. This should be LG replacing this as this part is defective and they continue to put defective parts back into the refrigerator and charge the consumer. All I want is a working refrigerator. I will never buy an LG product again. They are deceptive and should be recalling these control boards and replacing them with working boards.

I bought a two drawer LG refrigerator last July and two days ago the freezer stopped freezing and the fridge stopped cooling. I called LG and they said that the earliest a technician could come out to look at it was in 4 days. I kept my cool and told the lady that this is not my problem and that she needed to let me know when the technician would be at my house. We talked for an hour, she kept telling me that the repair persons dont work on the weekend and I explained to her that this is not acceptable and to please call me back to let me know when someone would be at my house to fix the fridge which by the way is under warranty. She hasnt called back. I had to throw out the contents of the freezer and the fridge except for the ketchup.Apparently they have a process to refund damage or soiled goods but I have yet to receive the email from them to fill it out and send it in. I suggested that she call Lowes and have them send me a new fridge as I know they keep inventory in their stores. She seemed confused when I said this and I asked her where she was located. She said in the Philippines. I kept conversing with her and asked her what she would do if it was her family that didnt have a fridge to cool food products. She didnt seem to have an answer. All in all LG stands for Lifes good, well Lifes not so good in my house. I doubt I will buy an LG product ever ever again.

Our LG refrigerator is only 18 months old and has broken down three times.
Our LG refrigerator is only 18 months old and has broken down three times. The first time, LG repaired within the first year. Second time occurred three weeks ago. The warranty company contracted a local appliance repair company to come out. They came out and diagnosed the issue, then said they needed to order a new compressor and should take three to five days. On day three, I call the company to find out status of compressor. They indicate it had not yet arrived. I call every day after that for another week and could not get anyone to answer the phone. My wife and I are both professionals and do not have time to deal with a fridge company. On day eleven or so, I file a complaint on Better Business Bureau website. Less than twenty minutes later, I get a call. Company comes out to install the new compressor a day later. Repair guy says it is fixed and leaves. Later that day, I again noticed the fridge was not working. Fridge is still broken!!! Now another lost work day and more time on the phone and internet wasting my time dealing with a terrible LG Product! There has to be legal recourse with so many complaints. I bet the majority of us have the same model. LG needs to be held accountable for selling a $2500 piece of junk!

I had an LG front load in the washer for six years and the bearing started to go out and needed to be replaced. I called LG and they sold me a warranty to fix the problem. A week later I was contacted by a local appliance store, who came out and looked at my machine. They said yes, it was a bearing problem, but they were not sure that LG would actually authorize the repair, even though I had called LG and specifically requested a bearing repair replacement and they had listened to the machine as it was operating and agreed that it was a bearing problem. The repair technician called them and they did agree to repair my machine. He ordered the parts and two weeks later showed up to do the repair. He worked on my machine for about three hours and finally got the job done. After he had reassembled my machine he said it would be a good idea to run a cycle to make sure it was all cleaned out after the repair. Without me doing anything, he started the machine, which sounded like it was working properly. He left and a few minutes later I left for an appointment. When I came back about 20 minutes later the door on the machine was knocked open the trashcan next to the machine was knocked over water was all over the floor, And the breaker to the machine had been tripped. I called the repair man and he came back within about an hour and looked at the machine. Now the tub, the plastic one that encircles the steel one, has a crack in it and was vibrating so violently inside the machine cabinet that it broke the heating element compartment and spewed water all over the entire inside of the machine in the electronics in there. I called LG to inquire what to do now and they basically say that they will not cover this repair because I should’ve not left the house with the washing machine running unattended. ** believable… I cannot believe that a company would say some such BS to a customer who contacted their repair department, purchased their recommended extended warranty, and used their certified repair technician. And keep in mind it was the technician who at the end of the repair said it would be a good idea to run an empty cycle to clean everything out of the washer. And he did not say you need to stay in the house with your washing machine. And I would imagine almost everybody has washed clothes and left the house with the washer running.I feel that LG has demonstrated incredibly poor customer service and corporate malfeasance with the way they are abusing people with their worthless warranty. I am considering legal action, and possibly a class action lawsuit to see how many other people they have treated in this way. If you have been treated this way, please call me and leave a message at **. Leave your contact information and tell me about your LG warranty nightmare experience. I will write it up and hopefully turn the materials over to a law firm.Nobody should be treated as poorly as I was… Basically they sent a technician into my home who completely destroy my washing machine in an attempt to repair my machine that obviously went wrong, and now LG is blaming me. Ridiculous. Outrageous. Nobody should be allowed to do business this way. I will also be contacting one of our local TV affiliates who does stories on problems like this and see if they want to pick this up. I am pissed and I imagine there are a lot of other people out there just like me.

I am very disappointed at the integrity of the knobs. They look and feel like good quality, but I am disappointed to find that inside the knob hole is plastic (not good quality). After just over a year (warranty expired, of course), two of the knobs cracked inside the holes and will no longer turn the burners on correctly. Within the first year of owning a new LG gas range, the 5-burner control knobs were breaking where the knob slides onto the shaft of the gas control mechanism. I tried repairing it myself and it worked for a while, but now they are so bad they need replacing. Why can it not be made of metal? This simple solution would solve the problem. While searching various parts replacement sites, the knobs are over $70.00 each to replace, 5 x 70 = $350.00 for knobs? Is this customer service and support after the sale? I am so disappointed in the quality of these knobs and the expense to replace them that I may replace the whole range on principle and never purchase an LG product again, of any type. What happens when I put the new knobs on and they crack and break? Another $350.00 in todays dollars for knobs? I dont think so. I have checked around and there are no replacement knobs of better quality available. LG needs to get their act together. After almost one and a half year only, now all the 5 valves and burners are bad and thank God I bought the extended warranty which is covering that problem. The only reason I bought this stove was the look and then I assumed that since it is an expensive stove, it must be good. But beware everybody, do not buy this product! I will keep on saying that until they fix my stove either by replacing it for once and for all. But at least I found a nice rep who promised to send me 5 new knobs as they have upgraded those knobs with metal inserts. Lets see if theyll work or not!

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid! We purchased a LG French Door refrigerator/freezer 28 cu ft (Model LFXS2926W/01) in April 2016. In late May of 2018 both lower and upper linear compressors failed along with the evaporators along with complete loss of refrigerant. Service rep came by in early June to identify the problem. Two weeks later the parts were delivered and they are back for the three hour repair. Three weeks from day of failure to day of repair. The service rep tell me that this appears to be a consistent problem with most if not all LG French door units. So $660.00 (labor and service call costs) later I hope to have it resolved. They have already warned me (because I asked) that this compressor/evaporator replacement will work properly for the next 2-3 years, before a predicted failure will occur again on the same components. The ten year warranty covers the compressor and a seven year warranty covers the evaporator. I asked their opinion on why such a generous warranty program given the predicted failure rate. The statement was the product (refrigerators internal cooling components) is over engineered and it is probably cheaper in the long run to provide the warranty than it is to have to submit to a product recall or redesign of the failed parts. I have purchased my last LG product of any kind and I am sharing our experience with everyone I can.

He told us they would send replacement knobs. We said they shouldnt send more plastic as they would undoubtedly melt as well. The knobs they sent were plastic as well. We got back onto HD and the local store Expediter helped us. He called LG and got back to us and... they dont HAVE any other knobs... only plastic made to look like stainless steel. Weve since discovered that there have been other people having the same problem who also complained and who also got the same results (or no reply at all). Now it appears our options are to continue getting replacement knobs until the warranty is gone and then paying for them, or stop using the upper oven. LG doesnt care, we bought it, were stuck with it. Poor design, insufficient testing. Well think long and hard before ever buying LG again.

We purchased our matching washer dryer combo from Sears as part of our remodel on our bathroom when our prior set died for the 10th time in 6 years. However had I known that $20-$70 repairs would amount to less than the headaches I would now be dealing with, I would have kept those workhorses any day of the week. Not only does our washer smell like everyone elses no matter what remedy we try, but it leaks, and leaks, and LEAKS! Weve had it serviced 3 times in the last 6 mos. trying to replace things that were wrong from the motor to hoses to outlets and now find out theres lawsuits because of these issues. Because of cutting corners and faulty mechanisms I have to do more laundry, which causes more leaks, which causes more laundry, crazy cyclic cycle. When are we the consumers going to say ENOUGH and when is anyone going to have our backs to compensate and make this right for us? Im tired of paying and paying and paying while these companies continue to manufacture GARBAGE!!! My washer still leaks after dumping thousands of dollars down the drain! Thanks LG!!! (SARCASTIC TONE, in case there was any doubt).

Bought the LG French Door refrigerator in July 2013 after researching and review customer reviews. Last week, we noticed the bottom freezer was working and the food was thawing. The next day, we called a local repair company to come take a look at the refrigerator who came over a day later. At that point, the freezer was not working and the refrigerator was barely cool. All the food stored in both sections had to be thrown away. We were told it was the compressor and immediately called LG helpline. We were advised that LG would replace the compressor but we would have to pay the service charge. The LG representatives tried to make an appointment but got errors. They gave us 3 service companies to call and make an appointment to repair our refrigerator. None of the 3 will come to our area (we are outside of Las Vegas, NV). The only exception was 1 company but we would have to pay travel time back and forth. This would amount to around 900.00 which included parts. We declined their offer. It is totally unacceptable that a refrigerator that we paid around 2200.00 is now unusable. We now have to buy another refrigerator, wait at least a week for delivery while in the mean time use a cooler filled with ice to keep essential cold and usable.

Yesterday I stepped into a puddle of water at 5:00 am, thinking it was my puppy that had an accident. I turned on the light to find that my refrigerator had stopped working, and I had a lot of water all over the floor. It is a 2 year old refrigerator, and never expected this kind of trouble with a newer and expensive unit. Either way, dealing with LG, has been a nightmare!! Nothing but excuses, as to why they can’t come out to repair it!!! We not only don’t have a working fridge, but also keep dealing with inept employees that are useless, and scrambling to salvage our groceries!!! Even after an appointment gets scheduled, some other repair place, calls and reschedules it. We will never buy another LG product, this is terrible customer service!!!!

I bought the double oven stove and unfortunately I did not use the stove until 9 months after the purchase. The stove is awful. It will burn you if you try to even come near the back of the stove top. It is very hard to clean, and that means the entire unit. The knobs are actually paper/tin which cracks and peels after just a little wear. The oven has never baked right. It burns everything on the bottom. Nothing I did corrected any of the problems.I have told everyone I know not to purchase this brand of stove, and will continue to tell the public about this lemon. To produce something so inferior and sell it to the public just shows that this company has no regard for customers and will sell junk. For me it was way too late to send this piece of junk back as by the time I used it warranty had passed. I tried to call this company and was told there was nothing they could do. They did not even try to listen or help me in any way. Its too bad because I work with broadcasting/media and I have prevented many people from making the same mistake, and will continue to do so. PLEASE do not spend your hard earned money. You will be sorry.

Purchased an LG fridge about 6 months ago. Over two weeks ago it began not cooling well and progressively got worse, soupy ice cream, rotting veggies etc... Called the place we bought it from Goedekers online. They forwarded us to LG since it was under a year old. Goedekers made some calls but even the President Steve Goedeker said he cant do much. Unbelievable, these companies are happy to take your money but have no problem leaving you and your family high and dry.LG has been a nightmare to deal with, the first week was wasted speaking to representatives that barely understood English. Finally request someone to come out on their website hoping that will get someone to come out and help us... After many phone calls, many lies, many conversations of no one caring (we are a family with a son under 2 years old etc... in a rural area) its over two weeks now and not even a phone call or servicer has been sent out to even diagnose our fridge. I even found a tech willing to come out and provided LG all the info - found out later through another source that spoke to their dealer department that they denied him because they didnt want to pay him standard rates. They spoke to another servicer in our area and they didnt approve his rates either and kept trying to talk him down as well. They have chosen to not help us and keep our family waiting to try to pay low rates to local service repair men. Youd think theyve spent at least that much paying their employees to make so many calls trying to negotiate ridiculously low rates. Why not just do the right thing and service the customer??? They have put us off, delayed and delayed any kind of progress just to pinch pennies and negotiate with service repairmen to see who will take their low negotiated rates. SO WRONG. My advice NEVER EVER EVER buy LG, our fridge was a $2700 fridge and it is not working in 6 months. They could not care less. Dont buy from online places, buy at your local appliance Ma and Pa place. Someone who will actually care, and hold true to some values.
