Updated on 04/06/2021: This is my 3rd review. I have been dealing w customer service for almost 3 months because my refrigerator that is still under warranty, has had 2 compressors put in & has now been deemed unrepairable still has no resolve. There has been a class action suite against LG refrigerators because of their compressors that they have been using but still they are taking no responsibility for their product. Ive seen other reviews here on Consumer Affairs for the same thing. I will not ever buy another LG product again. Every time someone says they will call me back but they dont. Customer service is just a shield. I just want some resolution.Updated on 04/01/2021; I have been dealing w LG Refrigerators now for 2 & a half months. This is my second review. I am still trying to get some resolution. I have had several technicians come out & they have replaced the compressor 2 times w/ compressors that didnt work. They finally dreamed it unrepairable. So now I am waiting to see if I can get a full refund. Every customer service person tells me the same thing... They will do everything they can to get it rectified. I paid $2,699 plus tax. I got an LG refrigerator because it came w/ high ratings. My refrigerator was only 3 & a half years old before I started having issues. I loved my refrigerator up until this point.Do not buy this refrigerator. Read the reviews that have had the same issues as I have had. There has been a class action suit against lg because of this same issue. They have taken no responsibility for the problem & continue to send out compressors that dont work. Now I wait to be reimbursed... They did reimburse me $250 to buy a mini fridge.Original: DO NOT BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR!!! Ive been dealing w/ customer service now for 2 months & still have no resolution. I bought my LG refrigerator in June of 2017. It stopped working January of 2021. I now call daily to see where the status of my service is. Each customer service representative tells me that they will handle the situation & not to worry. I still dont have a working refrigerator. They sent a technician out & they found that it was the compressor so replaced it. It never worked. That was a month ago. That particular technician has since stopped accepting LG service orders. So now I have to start the whole process over w/ a new technician company. As of today, 3/20/21 Ive not received an appointment & I still dont have a working refrigerator. They did reimburse me $250 for a mini fridge & were supposed to send me $200 for food lost... never saw the $200. I live 30 minutes from the closest grocery store & 20 minutes from the closest restaurant. A mini fridge isnt cutting it. AGAIN, DO NOT BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR!!! The customer service has been less than helpful

LG WM3360HWCA - After about 2 years the washer sounds like a Concorde taking off on spin cycle. You cannot be in the same room as the noise is so bad. Called LG and of course theres no one here on the island (live in Hawaii) to come and service it. They gave me the contact number for a company that does repairs. Unfortunately after a week of calling them and no return calls I ended up having Sears come out. He spun the drum in the machine all for $105 and then stated that the repairs would be $1100 as the bearings had gone out. I paid $700 for this washer. How can the repairs cost more? The Sears service rep said that I was over using the machine. I explained that I only fill up to the minimum line on the guide inside. He stated that in Hawaii the water is soft and that we are supposed to use half the recommendation that is on the bottle. I have never heard this before. So now out-of-pocket and have to go and buy a brand-new washer. LG the good life my ass.

I purchased an LG washing machine. First one came damaged as it was delivered without a box. The replacement which came several weeks later after several follow up phone calls is defective - leaking. The company and Home Depot refuse to replace. They insist it must be repaired. This is a brand new washing machine! I was on the phone with an ‘executive customer device rep for quite a while and she could not help. I provided information including the serial and model number over a week ago. I heard back from her today saying she could not have a service authorized until she received the serial number which was not on the receipt even though this was supplied to her on the phone. Sloppy handling. Poor processes. Indifferent reps not empowered to do their job. Never will purchase an LG again!

We purchased an LG LMXS27626 in August 2016. It’s a nice fridge and worked well for our needs. Last year we had some minor issues but last week (May 2020) it stopped cooling completely. Annoying but we figured no problem. We will get it it repaired. We have since learned the mess we are in. We called every repair service in the area all of whom told us they do not work on the linear compressor. They helped us understand that it is a unique system that only LG service providers can fix. No problem we thought! At least it’s under warranty. Then we called them. Before I even hung up the phone with LG customer service I received the following email: LGs Authorized Service providers in your area are not showing availability at this time. We are urgently reaching out to other service providers to request their first available slot so that you can be supported as quickly as possible. You will be notified when an appointment is confirmed. If 7 days has passed from the date of this notice and you have not been scheduled for an appointment, please contact LG and we will escalate your case.I then took it upon myself to look at the LG website and called the 2 listed service providers in our area. They both stated they are no longer completing LG warranty services. Unsure of where to turn, we called Orville’s where we purchased the fridge. They gave us a phone number for who they said is the only LG employee who completes these repairs in our area. We called him and he was kind and helpful but he is unable to complete the repair unless LG sends the request. (We wondered why they hadn’t.) He double checked and never received anything pertaining to our issue. Good news is he has availability later this week and said he would be happy to do this but we must call back LG.I called & they told me that if we give him our Reference number that he will be able to set it up. We call back the tech/LG employee who says that is NOT true. I called back again and tried to tell them that we have an LG employee who is ready & willing to complete our repair this week but need them to set it up. They sounded surprised and after some back and forth on hold said they weren’t allowed to do this.Ok so what is the next step? I was told that LG is reaching out the an alternative service provider and will let us know when they get something on the schedule. Couldn’t get a company or any clear idea of what would be done. I asked when we might hear something and it was unclear but there wasn’t even anyone available to talk more with until Monday! So it’s 90 degrees and we don’t have a refrigerator. This is the only website that I have seen LG respond to. I will survive but honestly there are other customers who can’t access the same resources and it is concerning to read that we are one of SO MANY that go through this. This is clearly a widespread issue and LG’s lack of response so far will cause me to shop other brands in the future and also warn others of these problems. It’s not so much the fact that the appliance failed, it’s that it’s impossible to get it fixed in a timely manner. LG needs to find a solution and get some sort of procedure in place. I am hopeful this review will trigger a response & resolution.

I bought LG gas oven -LD64313st and now all 5 knobs on front of appliance are melted probably from heat from upper oven. What kind of thought went into a design that places cheap plastic knobs over a heat source and expects them to remain intact. I read in a previous review that LG charges $55 for each CHEAPLY made and poorly designed Knob... Done with LG...I too will buy American from now on....

I have an LG front load fairly new machine and I absolutely hate it. I loved the fact its suppose to save money as it is and helps the environment. I have had the machine 5 years now. The only thing I like is the lights during the washing procedure. I was looking for efficiency but there is nothing efficient about a heavy soiled load of clothes taking over an hour to wash. The machine does not let you soak or pre soak clothes. With muddy clothing, sometimes things need to soak. The machine smells like mildew or mold all the time. The rubber seal is disgusting to look at and clean. Not sure who came up with this brilliant machine but I think its awful. There is barely any water on the clothing when washing. I dont like it at all and with it being 2,000 I feel like I got ripped off. My dryer is a Samsung steam or dry dryer. Never lost an article of clothing in it. The dryer works great. So far no issues. The machine takes forever to wash. The clothes dry quick because they barely get wet. But they do spin fast. I hate the fact there is still pet hair on my uniform pants and some types of fabrics which really makes me mad. Also I cannot soak soiled clothes. The machine drains out any excess water. I am so not a fan of this machine. I am so annoyed with it. I would trade it off for an older top loading machine in a heartbeat.

Didnt work out of the box. Had to have panel replaced but very poor customer service thru all the ordeal for almost two weeks. Repair thru store bought - not LG. They would hang up, not call back after I gave them the phone number. Really crazy customer service. First question was what is your phone number, then start to tell them what was wrong with codes would get disconnected but they didnt call back. Within a year, broke again and after that service call within days, the compressor is humming very loud and looks like everything is defrosting in freezer. Of course this is on 4th of July so food will be eaten or lost. Very disappointed in product that cost over 3K. Wait the weekend to see what is wrong and before one year warranty over on July 20th.

I went to Best Buy, and I liked the LG refrigerator so I purchased it. The quality is very bad though, and I’m dealing with them for long time. It has an issue for more than three months and still they didn’t resolve the problem. For three times, they told me they’re gonna give me a replacement. They said they needed a proof of purchase and all this stuff, which I gave them three times, but still, they didn’t resolve the issue. I’m not gonna buy LG products ever in my life again for sure. And I will put my reviews about my experience on all the sites. Go with something else.

The knobs on my NEW THREE MONTH OLD stove are so touchie I’ve turned them on without even knowing, and have it catch on fire on my glass top and burned myself trying to put it out. This was on 7/21/18. I called the company and emailed SEVERAL times. Getting told, they will get back to me even after I told them how dangerous the knobs are and it happens all the time. I told them I’m scared children or adults can seriously be burned. Then I sent them pictures and kept getting the runaround because I didn’t need to go to the emergency room they said. (I was not trying to sue them) just let them know how dangerous it is. I now have permanent fire damage on my three month old glass stove top. I asked if they could fix it and the phone supervisor (accidentally) hung up on me when I called back with my case number. They said they have no record of me calling at all. And have not seen the faxed pictures they told me to send. Then today 12/7/18 same thing happened and once again. This time a big fire we had to put out. Now my pretty glass top stove looks terrible but lucky no major fire damage - just a terrible looking stove. The sad thing is I have LG stove, microwave, refrigerator, washer and dryer. You think a big company like their’s would take this seriously.

Thousands of dollars in damage! We purchased LG model lfx25971sb with french doors and an external ice delivery system. The initial problems, within a week of delivery, were with the ice maker that was constantly messing up, leaking, not working. The list of problems with the ice dispenser are numerous. The next issue came in about 11 months when I noticed that the cabinet next to the unit was showing cracks in the finish. These are maple. Perplexed, I pulled the unit out and found that a small pin-hole had burst on the water line leading up to the dreaded ice maker. The hardwood floor underneath was stained and buckling so the leak had been there for awhile. With both of these service issues, I got horrible customer service from LG. With regard to the water line needing repair, my cost. Then on Sunday, while walking across my kitchen floor, I nearly tripped over the buckled wood floor at least 5 feet from the unit. Now, it was gushing water from underneath! The service guy that showed up today said a valve blew out and that it is not covered by the warranty. This wreck of a machine has ruined my kitchen floor and the poor excuse for a company will not do a thing about it. Repair bill around $180; floor and cabinet repair, thousands. I also purchased a washer/dryer set. It took four months to get the washer working. This time they finally owned up to the problem and replaced a part but four months before, it never worked.

I have had to stop using my LG microwave (LMV168OST) as the plastic frame around the door glass and handle has fallen apart. We had our kitchen remodeled 5 years ago and none of the appliances (several different brands) have been stellar. However, I will never purchase another LG product again because of our LG refrigerator.Within months, the ice maker hose failed causing a leak every time we accessed the in-door water dispenser. When our wood floor started to bubble up, we then realized something was leaking. The hose was replaced but within a few months, another leak started. This has been a constant problem for the entire 5 years we have had it. We just discovered a new leak but this time it is coming from underneath and on the opposite side of the refrigerator so we are not certain if this has anything to do with the ice maker.LG and Home Depot, where we purchased it as well as an extended warranty plan, have been a huge disappointment and we will never purchase an appliance from either again. The extended warranty only covered major parts after the first 18-24 months, so it was of no help after this time frame. Also, the process of getting someone out here to repair it, was inferior. I had to call the main headquarters of Home Depot. They in turn would have to set up a repair order with one of their contracted LG repair companies.Home Depot would then contact me back and give me the number to call. I would then have to arrange a time for the repairman to come to the house which always took a week or more. Once they came, no matter how clear I was about the problem and where the leak was in the hose, etc., they would always have to order the part which would take several weeks. They would then call me once the part came in to set up a time to return to repair the refrigerator.Consequently we would be without our ice maker working for up to 8 weeks. I share this because even the LG repairmen are inferior or they are overworked. I would love an attorney to contact me since our hardwood floors have been ruined over the years due to the repeated leaking.

LFX25991ST/05 LG French door counter depth refrigerator - I actually love/hate this refrigerator. It has worked well. I love the ice and water dispenser, however, it appears to be caving in. There is a long crack at the top running into the inside of the dispenser. When the water dispenser is pressed it moves the entire wall inside the dispenser. The frame of the entire dispenser is actually crumbling piece by piece. We have no recollection of ever dropping anything or anything falling on the door dispenser. We have no warranty left on it as it is now almost 3 years old. So we are faced with the repair. Frankly neither of would have the strength to push so hard the plastic would crack. I own an LG stove, microwave, washer and dryer. I am not unhappy with any of these - performance wise.

LG Front Load Washing Machine bought in 2013 - This washer gets a horrendous build up of thick black mold in the rubber seal and makes the inside of the washer smell like mold and mildew. The seal has a rim with a deep ridge that makes it impossible to clean properly. My laundry does not even smell clean after I wash it. When you call LG, they offer no assistance and state you will have to pay to have the washer repaired due to it is out of warranty. They take no blame in the matter at all and tell you its from improper cleaning. Please, this washer is a WASH OUT! Dont buy LG washers unless you want to get stuck with the bill, the dirty machine and the dirty laundry! Never again will I purchase a LG appliance!

I will never ever buy another LG product of any kind. I purchased my washing machine almost five years ago and have been fighting with it ever since. At ok never point I discovered that the machine had actually been recalled. The machine was known to vibrate across the floor. The techs have been out numerous times but when Home Depot called they said they were only out twice, once a no power issue. They are so misinformed. I had the motherboard replaced and other issues. Now if I wash a quilt the machine stops and flashes. Then when I put it on Spin Only it shoots out water!! So I am left with soggy blankets. I am so furious and disappointed. They should have designated this a lemon four years ago. I think someone needs to instigate a class-action lawsuit against LG. Why are we putting up with this??? I plan to have my lawyer look into this. The techs are coming again on Friday. They will say the same nonsense. I will tell them it is time to sue.

Purchased LG Model LFXS29626B because of good reviews and it had features we desired like 2 ice makers. Worked fine for 3 years then stopped without any signs of problems. Research discovered common failures of the compressors in these LG refrigerators. Contacted LG by phone and using Smart Diagnosis was informed by the technician that the compressor had failed. My worse fear with no extended warranty. LG offered to repair my unit without cost to me. It was repaired the same day, in short time as the repairman came with required parts on hand. I applaud LG for owning this problem, but feel cautious wondering if the new compressor will fail after a short time period. We hope not because up to this point, it has served us well and we like the looks, and features. Previous refrigerator was a Kenmore, which lasted 16 years and cost one fourth of the LG.

I have an LG front load washing machine that has pretty much stopped working after exactly 18 months. The drum no longer spins and there never was an error code displayed. I called the service department and we were unable to troubleshoot it over the phone. He referred me to the one and only LG repair service in Cincinnati for repairs. The parts are (maybe) covered, but not the labor. Just for the service to come out is $80. Unbelievable! We loved this machine initially. It wasnt three months though before we started to notice that not only were our clothes not getting clean, but they smelled horrible. We have to run bleach regularly and use vinegar with every load. This is truly some kind of racket they are running. What happened to the old dependable appliances that lasted 10+ years? I guess you cant make money if the machines last so long they dont need to be replaced.

We purchased an LG WT4970CW washing machine in August 2014 from Best Buy. Shortly after using it, I noticed some of laundry would be dry on top, especially sheets. Sheets would be pulled tightly across top of drum and be completely dry - obviously were not touched by water and detergent. Then, on subsequent loads, the machine kept giving error message: UE which means the load is out of balance. Machine shuts off in middle of cycle and you have to open the lid, pull the laundry out and rearrange it, close lid and machine turns on again. However, during one load, this happened up to six times and it took me four hours to complete one load of laundry. I dont stand by the machine while it is doing its job, so when I would expect the laundry to be done, I would go to my basement only to see the UE displayed which meant it wasnt finished.I had a repair person come to my home last week (10/2018). He called and spoke with an LG technical support person. He explained the problem and was told I was doing the laundry incorrectly. The LG agent told him I have to wash only like items at one time. In other words, if I have a load of jeans, tee shirts, polo shirts, mens underwear, socks, I need to sort the clothes and wash the jeans separate from the shirts, separate from the underwear and socks!!! The machine goes out of balance almost every time I wash two bath towels, one hand towel, and one washcloth along with a nightgown and some underwear. The LG agent said I should only be washing towels (up to six bath towels) at one time and nothing else. This is not how REALITY works! It would take me a full day to do the equivalent of two loads of laundry. It would also defeat the purpose of the water-conserving feature of these new machines. I would need to do six tiny loads of laundry in place of my normal two loads. Also, I do not have enough clothing to wait until I have a full load of just underwear so it is a normal-sized load. I dont even have enough pants and shirts to wait until I have a full load of just pants to wash. This machine is only 4-1/2 years old and I have to replace it. I also bought the extended warranty, but was only offered a one-year extension for parts only. Of course, the warranty expired in August 2016.The repair person said there were no parts to replace or would make sense to replace, because the cost of the repair would be almost the cost of a new machine with no guarantee it would fix the problem. He told me my complaints are very common complaints he has heard over and over from his customers regarding their LG machines. The repairperson highly recommended I buy a Speed Queen TR7000 which works almost the same way my 35-year-old Maytag washer worked and it comes with a seven-year materials and labor warranty. Cant wait to give the LG machine the heave-ho and get the Speed Queen machine! I will never buy ANY LG product as long as I live.

Bought the dishwasher 4 years ago. Actually my rating is a zero. LG front loader washing machine that we have is not only a complete waste of money but a health hazard. Why the health department isnt involved in this matter is truly shocking to me. Both my Fiancee and myself have experienced general malaise (headaches, body aches, nausea, dizziness) which we now believe is due to the mold build up in this machine and thus ending up in our clothes despite double washing the clothes to get the smell out.The constant nightmare in dealing with mold buildup in the machine has truly been astounding. We have tried everything from leveling the machine since water never gets fully drained, to scrubbing the front flap , to draining water and cleaning reservoir and bleach cycle--nothing works. This is the first and last LG product we ever buy. They put this thing on the market knowing full well of the problems with it. Personally, I am looking around to see if theres a class action lawsuit. In the meantime, we are going old school and buying a cheap top loader. Weve used top loaders for 30 years and never had a problems with them. Even our kids agree that this machine is crap.

I had also heard very good reviews regarding LG refrigerators and decide to try it. I like the stainless steel look it had and also the amount of storage it had and also customizable shelving. The freezer also had a ton of storage and temperature controls were included as well. I dont have a whole lot of complaints. It has been and continues to fulfill its purpose. However, if I had one complaint it would be it has no ice maker.

The repair man installed the new compressor and the refrigerator seemed to be cooling. The next day the refrigerator stopped cooling again. I called the repair man and he came back out to my house worked on the refrigerator for about 1 hour 1/2 and told me everything was working properly. The next day refrigerator stopped cooling again. I called the repairman. He came back out to my house for the third time and spent another hour 1 1/2 working on the refrigerator supposedly fixed it. The next day still not cooling. Called the repairman and he told me he was going to refund me all my money and I needed to buy new refrigerator because it is a lemon. I spent $2800 on this refrigerator and it cannot be fixed. Our LG dishwasher was installed 9 months ago and white marks (not water marks) are appearing at the top of the panel and on the handle. We only use stainless steel cleaner and are not able to remove the marks as it appears the finish is coming off. One of the marks on the handle is the size of a quarter. LG is unable to help as its a cosmetic issue. Is anyone having problems with the finish on their dishwasher? Wed like to determine whats causing the problem to avoid further marks. I hate to see what the dishwasher is going to look like in 2 years...

We have owned a LG French door bottom freezer refrigerator for about 3 years. The following problems occurred: 1. Ice maker failed and had to be replaced. $500.00 for labor and parts. 2. Ice maker cannot make enough for drinks for a dinner party of 4 throughout the evening. 3. Ice maker chute flap door will not close and allows ice to melt and then freeze and clogs chute. 4. Freezer will not drop temperature below 28 degrees. Soft ice cream. Its a good looking large capacity refrigerator but it is not a GOOD WORKING refrigerator.

We bought an LG True Balance top loading washing machine model number wt507
We bought an LG True Balance top loading washing machine model number wt5070cw from Lowes on April 4, 2013. It worked fine until September. Now when we put in a load, it goes into unbalanced, the code is UE and the machine shuts down with no spin. Called LG. They sent someone out 5 days later. The repairman they sent was not there to fix it (I thought it would be fixed) but just to order the parts it needed to be repaired. Okay, so he said the part would be here in a week and he will be back on Monday, another whole week. I live with my 3 grandchildren and we have a lot of laundry to do so those 2 weeks were awful with no machine and kids that needed clean clothes for school. The laundromats are not an option for they are very costly. Okay, so the following Monday, a different repairman shows up and spends 2 hours changing parts and when hes done, he says its still not working, must be the control panel and says he will order it and be back in a week to fix it. Now we are up to 3 weeks without the washing machine. Now I have literally piles of laundry that would cost at least $75.00 to do at a laundromat. So now we wait and Monday comes and goes and no repairman. So I call LG and they say the part is back ordered and could take up to 3 weeks to get. WHAT! So I asked for a refund so I can get a new machine and they say we have to make every effort to fix it. So after a few more pleading calls for a refund, they agreed. They said to send in the receipt to start the process. We did that and waited like 4 days and called again and they said they did not get the fax with the receipt so we sent it again and guess what! They said they still did not get it so sent it again. This time they got it. Now we are still waiting to hear. I do not know how much longer this process will take. If you are thinking about buying products from LG, I would think again!

Purchased a front load washer model WM2455HG and dryer set with stacking bracket 6 years ago. Washer makes a terrible grinding noise and stops spinning, rocks, and starts grinding etc, etc. Have tried to get a repair person to look at it. When I tell them its a LG they laugh and suggests I just purchase a new washer. I have the dryer that stacks on the washer, now Im being told that theres no LG washer that is compatible with dryer stacking bracket, that Ill have to buy a new washer and dryer. Called LG, they dont have a clue. Was told to buy washer, if it dont work, to return it.

Our refrigerator is less than three years old. Bought it from local Sears store. Right after Christmas it began to not cool as well and finally quit all together new years. Called Sears. Local guy came out but out of warranty. Also they are closing or store so they couldnt service. Sears guy told me it was the compressor and that LG AND SAMSUNG both knew had bad compressors but they would sell them anyway. It is now four weeks later and service tech due out next week. After reading reviews I do not hold out much hope. I will never every buy LG again. Every LG appliance Ive purchased has been crap. Just replaced a 3 year old washing machine too.

My LG refrigerator is 5 months old and has stop cooling completely. When I called they told me that there were no techs available and the scheduling department would contact me within three to five days. When they finally called back, they left a message with the repair company info saying theyd call to set up an appointment. LGs chosen company never called, I had to called them! Once I took off of work the repairman, said the unit needed to be replace. When of course LG disagreed, and now they want to send another tech out? Its already been 9 days without a refrigerator. I totally agree with the other complaints, and will go on every outlet to complain and warn consumers against purchasing their products.

We purchased the LG Model # LDF7774WW just a few months ago and from the very first wash we noticed that it would not clean the dishes properly, even though I am in the habit of rinsing off the dishes under running water with a dish scrub brush before putting them in the dishwasher. Also, there is a setting for heated water on the panel. It clearly shows the temperature of 160 degrees. However, after suspecting this claim, I tested the water mid-wash with two distinctly different thermometers, one electronic, the other mechanical. Both thermometers showed readings of between 110 degrees and 109.4 degrees. This washer is simply designed to be inferior. Our past GE dishwasher would superheat the water to the point where you could get a mild burn if you were not careful removing metal items from the washer at the end of the cycle. With LG, the dishes feel a little warmer than room temp at the end of the cycle. Avoid this brand and especially this model. It is garbage.

The worst appliance I have ever had in 40 years. I have not tried other LG products and Im not compelled to do so. However, Do not!!!!! Do not purchase this product line in a Dishwasher because you will be disappointed to no end. Im not going to fight it. Its not worth my time but I will never deal with this company again. I may have lost 350 dollars over the last 3 years but they lost my business and not just mine because Im spreading the word.

After just having bought my first home, I really wanted to splurge and buy
After just having bought my first home, I really wanted to splurge and buy a nice big beautiful $3,400 stainless steel refrigerator as a center piece. But buying this expensive LG LMXS30776S was one of the biggest mistakes of my life. At just 2 years the thing is broken and will no longer cool. I came home one night to find that all of the ice in the ice maker had melted and puddled onto my hardwood flooring and all of my food was spoiled. Completely dismayed that my refrigerator is now cooling at 60F I called LG. They sent a tech out and he diagnosed a failed sealed system. To have a failed sealed system in 2 years is truly, truly remarkable. But you then think to yourself, Well thats ok though, sealed system is under warranty right? NOPE! The parts might be covered by warranty, but the LABOR is not. And apparently sealed system is a specialty repair service and I was quoted at $850-$1100 on the low end JUST OF LABOR.And then you think to yourself, Well Jesus, thats unbelievably expensive, so you call LG and ask them why they are selling $3400 refrigerators that dont even last 2 years? What kind of product quality are they really putting out? And they dont back up their own products? We work hard for that kind of money and consumers deserve quality assurance for their purchase. Agent very reluctantly escalated my case and I was eventually granted an exception to cover labor under warranty as well, but now heres the most interesting part. I called their authorized service provider to come back out and fix it, now with a warranty exception code but they flat out REFUSED to come back to work on the thing because apparently LG has stiffed them multiple times on warranty repairs. So LG is not only stiffing their customers with cheap and faulty appliances but they are also stiffing their own authorized service providers on warranty reimbursement to repair their cheap and faulty appliances. But you could figure that would happen if so many of them break right? Its not good business for LG to repair everything they build. So at this point, it has been 1 month since Ive had a working refrigerator. There are literally only two service providers in my area that can fix sealed systems and are authorized to work on LG (a huge amount of service providers dont even want to work on LG, so let that be the giant red flag for you.) But of these two service providers, both of them refuse to do any warranty work for LG whatsoever. I guess I wouldnt want to either, if I wasnt getting paid for my work. I have been in contact with LG daily about this, asking to give me a real solution, but they just keep giving me lip service and lists of more and more service providers, all of which are completely out of the state and cant even come here because they are not licensed outside of their own state. Ive gone through 20+ service providers that LG has given me and its the same story over and over. We dont service your area, we arent licensed in your state etc etc.I tried explaining this to LG repeatedly but they either dont listen or dont care. Or perhaps they already know, but they just give you an endless run around with no real solution. The last agent I talked to just bluntly told me Im SOL. So ask yourself this, what good is a warranty if their own company wont back it up? What good is a warranty if no service provider will accept it because LG is scheming them out of their money too? At this point I can either pay $1200+ for parts and labor out of my own pocket and reinvest back into this terrible piece of garbage that I am confident will just fail again in the near future or I can just take this thing out to the backyard and blow it up and buy a different brand. And really, in full and total honesty, Im much more inclined to do the latter. Because I will never trust my food in this thing ever again, even if it gets fixed.I will never trust LG again. Im now just far too ashamed to even have the LG symbol in my household now that I know the truth of this company. Yeah, youre sitting there reading all these reviews because this is a big purchase for you, just like it was for me. And youre thinking to yourself, This poor guy, he just got unlucky that his broke so early, but mine wont be like that and even if mine does have a problem, I have this great LG warranty right? You dont. LG is proven to have cheap and faulty products and they have proven that their warranty is completely meaningless because THEY HAVE NO INFRASTRUCTURE TO REPAIR IT ANYWAY. Youre better off buying 30 mini refrigerators for the same price and then just replacing them as they break throughout the years... But the truly sad part is... You wont need that many because one cheap $100 mini fridge will still last significantly longer than any giant shiny piece of junk you buy from LG.

Updated on 05/19/2019: April 29 was my first review. TOMORROW will DAY 35 without our LG refrigerator. No tech licensed at first with dealing with LG then they offered an in store credit but sent file to Assurance and they sent a tech. Had to wait on parts. LG would not RUSH them. Finally parts in. Had to make appt. Replacing compressor, main PC and therm. $1,100.00. I paid $1,500.00 for fridge. Thursday after approximately 4 hours with service repairman it is finally fixed. Today the fridge is WARM Inside. ITS BROKEN ALREADY. ALL I WANTED WAS A NEW FRIDGE. ITS DAY 35 TOMORROW!!!! PEOPLE should get to see all of the review replies I have done with LG. Not just the first one. I have 8 pages of notes of phone calls on this fridge. How many weeks is a acceptable to wait. I just wanted an in store credit....Updated on 05/02/2019: April 30 posted complaint with lack of service on my refrigerator. April 30 LG quickly responded asking for my telephone number. May 1 I responded. THEN nobody phones. This is now day 18 and no fridge. Please give me an in store credit and perhaps a FREE 4 year extended warranty to make things right. I offered a repairman’s name to you but no you didnt have a contract with him. Yet you did not have any licensed tech for a compressor.Original Review: We are now at day 14 without a fridge. LG doesnt care. Days went by before they said they didnt have e a licensed tech for compressor. More days went by before given an approval number for in store credit then, I was told Assurance Solution Insurance co would take file now. They then decide there is a repair man to diagnose it. Fridge stinks and still waiting to hear what is to be done. Totally UNACCEPTABLE. Should have been looked after within 2 to 3 days. Its a fridge not a microwave.

I got my stove 6 months ago and had the same issue as so many others. The stove knobs turn on so easily by accident. Its very dangerous, most times we would know we bumped the knob and just turn it off, but we had one close call when the knob was accidentally turned on and we didnt realize, well one close call was enough for me. Range LG as many others have said “what a waste of time“. So I started online looking for something to protect my family and I. I came across RangeSafe knobs. I saw these safety stove knobs online and while not cheap, it is impossible to turn the knobs on accidentally. For me the price was worth the peace of mind knowing NO MORE ACCIDENTAL KNOB TURNS.

We purchased an LG fridge from Home Depot on the 19th of January 2011. This fridge went hot and destroyed most of our food on July 13th, 2011. I called LG and they ended up getting a technician out to the house that afternoon. LG said the issue was the control board, but the tech thought there was more. He ordered a compressor as well. Home Depot gave us a fridge to use in the mean time. They returned to fix this on the 26th of July. The panel didnt solve the issue so the tech went to install the compressor and found there was no freon in the system. LG didnt believe this was the problem after two days of waiting, so the tech had to come back on Friday on the 29th of July to install an evaporator with UV chemical in it. The fridge had a bunch of freon on the charge side indicating a blockage somewhere in the system. We had to run the fridge for all weekend and then late Monday, came back to find it still was not cooling or working. LG, at this time, said they may replace it. After a bunch of calls to LG and getting nowhere, we finally are being told they will replace it. This is another 7-10 business days with no fridge and no results. LG informed us that they will NOT pay for destroyed food. I would not purchase another LG product. We have 4 other LG products in our house not including this fridge. The customer service sucks and response times are unacceptable.

We purchased an LG refrigerator French door/bottom freezer drawer approximately 2.5 years ago. Recently, the refrigerator stopped freezing so we called a repairman. We were told by the repairman that the repair cost would be greater than the price of a new refrigerator. We went back to the selling retailer and asked what they could do for us. They said they could sell us a new refrigerator at cost, which they did.We are frustrated to say the least and cannot believe that a refrigerator would only have a 2.5 life span. My initial reaction was to never purchase an LG brand again! EVER!

I purchased a model LFX8968 refrigerator from Home Depot. Within the first year I had to spend $170 to have a heating element put in the bottom of the unit so it would have frozen water build up in the freezer section (bottom drawer). For the last year and half, the French door which holds the ice maker leaks all over the floor, the ice reservoir melts all the ice cubes together and jams the ice dispenser. Home Depot will not stand behind the product and after hours with LG customer service, Ive given up. LG customer service has actually hung up on me three times and I was respectful - no yelling. Our two month old LG Microwave Oven Model LCS1112ST bit the dust yesterday and I immediately contacted LG Customer Support. After jumping through all the hoops sending them a receipt, proof of damage, etc., I was expecting my $ back since it had a one year warranty. I received an e-mail saying in order to process my claim, I had to buy another LG microwave before they would consider any refund. Completely unsatisfied with this nonsense, I called and spoke to a gentleman that passed me on to supposedly the supervisor. She said that we were to send a letter explaining why we bought a GE microwave instead of an LG microwave along with additional documentation. Why would I buy another LG product? We purchased an LG washer and dryer set. The dryer works well, but the washer is a disaster. Our towels have an unpleasant musty smell just 1 day after they are washed. The rubber sleeve between the front panel and the drum is literally designed to trap moisture and grow mold. What a horrible design! We miss our old top loader Amana. That washer worked wonders on spots and dirtier clothes like playground pants with grass on the knees. Our front loader LG, on the other hand, is a piece of cr@p. We are waiting for this thing to develop any problem so we can replace it with a Bosch. Dryers works well. Washer doesnt get the clothes clean. It uses less water than our old washer but what good are water savings when the clothes dont get clean? We will check Amazon customer reviews to see which models to AVOID like the plague. Before buying this LG washer we were focused on efficiency but with LG efficiency came at the cost of less than clean clothes and smelly towels. Reliability is important but effectiveness is a very close second. A reliable, highly efficient washer is junk if it doesnt get the job done. To reiterate, stay away from LG clothes washers. The design of the drum, pump, and the drum seal is defective. It traps moisture and promotes mold growth. Also, the pump/filter assembly on these washers holds about 12 OZ of water at all times. We forgot to drain the filter assembly before going on a 3-week vacation. When we came back, the whole downstairs of the house smelled like sewer. The stench was coming from our wonderful LG washing machine. I had to flush it with 2 gallons of bleach! Stay away from LG washers! They are toxic!

I purchased a refrigerator, dishwasher and gas range for my new home that I moved in to in 2019. Close to 5000$. Of course they are all out of warranty now and during Christmas of 2021 pieces of enamel was being found in my food I was baking in the oven. Needless to say this has to be a manufacturers defect because nothing I have done would warrant chips of enamel falling off. I called they said, Nope its out of warranty. Even with the fact that we could have consumed some of the enamel they do NOT care. Even the man that I called about checking it out said LG was hard to work with. I am hoping to get this resolved soon being I can not use my oven for fear of consuming enamel. This is the WORST experience I have ever had with a major appliance. I should have known when LG started sending yearly checks to make up for under estimating the electric usage of this model. I have replaced gaskets around the doors twice. However, my MAJOR complaint is the tubing that runs to the ice maker. I have had repairs/tubing replacement no less than 6 times in five years. Almost every six months the tubing (5/16 tubing - which is virtually impossible to find) springs a pinpoint leak and water is all over my kitchen floor. Every time I have a repairman, it costs me at least another $100. My latest was again this morning!! This refrigerator is not worth the dynamite I would use to blow it up!

Please when purchasing a LG product make sure you look at the warranty. I have owned 2 LG products. First was a dishwasher the second is a refrigerator. Both of these products had issues that should be covered under LG warranty and LG has fought me on both warranty claims. The first was the dishwasher. When I called in for a warranty claim I was told LG could not warranty it as I did not have the original purchase receipt. Even though the Model and Serial Number on my dishwasher noted it was under warranty they would not honor their warranty. At that time I did not realize I could have fought it so I purchased a new dishwasher (that was not LG).Now in 2020 my fridge stopped working. It is the compressor. My fridge is still under warranty and the compressor should be mailed to my home. LG is making me jump through hoops to get the compressor mailed so my fridge can be fixed. LG will not send me the product without talking to my technician. In saying that I have supplied LG with my technician’s contact information and LG has told me that they have reached out to my technician to authorize the part. My technician as received NO authorization request. When I reached out to LG to note my technician had not received and email I was then told it would take 3-5 business days to contact him. I feel that LG has no right to authorize my technician in order to send me the part. Today there are so many clever people that can fix their own appliances. If I was a handy person and was able to fix my own LG fridge, LG would not send the part directly to me as I am not a technician. I think this is very unethical. The fridges compressor does not work it is under warranty, LG should mail the part without question. So at this point I am going on 15 days without refrigerator. LG will not send me the part even though I own the fridge and it is under warranty. They have supposedly contacted my technician but at this point he has not been contacted. I just wanted to let everyone know what I am going through so that when you purchase any major appliance consider purchasing one that has a better track record at honoring their warranty. If you do purchase an LG appliance at least now you are well aware that they will make you jump through hoops and likely not going to honor the warranty on that appliance. It would be better to find a company that is willing to honor their warranty even if it costs more.

My husband and I bought our LG refrigerator about 14 months ago. We were not offered an extended warranty and did not think to purchase one in the midst of the chaos of purchasing our first new home. Setting that aside, I recently contacted LG with a problem and they refused to help us saying I needed to pay a service company to come out for something I feel they should take responsibility for. The issue being that a screw had come loose behind the ice maker and completely unaware, had dropped into our ice causing it to go into my husbands smoothie. While in the NutriBullet I heard a noise, assuming it was the ice, like it always does, then when it continued I went to stop the machine, it was too late, because just then the screw burst out the side causing a terrible mess everywhere. Now I need to replace the cup and chopped up blade to our NutriBullet. LG wants to take no responsibility whatsoever. I personally feel they should at least send me a replacement screw and possibly help pay for the replacements. My opinion is this was a defect and should be covered, being it was barely out of the warranty period. I am just glad that no one swallowed that screw causing physical damage. My advice... Be sure to get an extended warranty, if its not offered, ask for one! Products just arent built like they used to be! (It was quite baffling trying to figure out where a white screw came from... Until I traced it back to the ice machine, and there it was, an empty hole behind the ice container.) Now to find a replacement screw for it, I cant afford to pay for a service call for a little screw. Amazing how something so tiny can make such a big mess! :/

I have a LG top loader. It is by far the worst washing machine that I ever owned. I swear it takes me all day to do a load of wash because the machine goes off balance unless I stand in front of the washer and move the clothes around to balance them. This is no way to do laundry. So so unhappy.

The compressor went out on my refrigerator two weeks ago on a Sunday. It went out without warning and the resulting water that leaked from it has caused my floors to start warping. The repairman came on Wednesday, explained the problem, ordered the parts, which were received on July 5th. I immediately called to schedule an appointment only to be told that the earliest they could come out would be July 29th. So, as of right now, my only source of keeping food cold is two ice chests which I have to fill up every other day. My husband and I are both dealing with medical issues and this is just the icing on the cake. I am ready to blow my stack if I hear one more person say there is nothing they can do. Any help would be appreciated.

Purchased a LG front load washing machine that has been leaking water for the past 4 months. Machine is still under warranty: 3 different service technicians visited home over 5 times and have been unable to repair the machine. The technicians initially claimed we were using too much detergent, till the last technician found a crack in the discharge hose and replaced it. Unfortunately, that wasnt the only problem as the machine is still leaking, but now worse than before. And now the leak is so bad, it resulted in water damage to our new construction home. Not only that, but the once quiet machine now sounds worse than before and the technician scratched up our unit.I informed LG again but still no result. From the very beginning, I pleaded with them to send a different service company to our home, but LG refused. I talked to customer service reps and even folks in their executive services department to no avail. After the first few visits, I began to ask for LG to replace the unit, again LG refused. After the leak caused water damage, I asked again for LG to replace the unit, but again LG refused. The machine is still under warranty, the service technicians have been unable to repair the unit, but LG still refuses to replace it even though the terms of the warranty indicate that replacement is an option.

For a long time we had a Maytag dryer and loved it but when it finally died we decided to get an LG dryer to match our LG washer which we have had no issues with. We purchased the dryer from Home Depot and since it was brand new it has melted MANY items, mostly coats and blankets. I have wasted tons of money replacing damaged items and and scared it will result in a fire. At first I just thought it was because the dryer was fancier than I was used to and I needed to learn how to used its technology but after learning the ins and outs it has continued to happen time and time again. Now I just air dry a lot of items to avoid them burning and melting which is a huge pain. It even has melted several infant Muslin blankets which is not what I would consider a material sensitive to heat. I’ve honestly just been avoiding contacting customer service knowing it will just be a hassle but I am beyond frustrated and after looking up see there is a class action lawsuit for LG dryers catching fire so I plan to contact them ASAP to get resolution. In the future I will go back to my tried and true Maytag.

My first set I had for 6 years before moving, fantastic machines, no repairs. 6 people in home so lots of washing. Moved and bought a new LG set. At exactly three years the motherboard of the dryer went out. I bought a new dryer and I am happy again (was $535.00 to repair 3 year old one so I bought a new one). I have been extremely pleased with my LG washer and dryer. The only other brand I would buy would be Whirlpool.

This machine works great. The controls are versatile enabling the proper heating method for a wide variety of foods yet are simple and easy to use. Its stainless steel which looks great and is large enough to accept a medium size pizza and still compact enough for our countertop. 3 door ultra large capacity counter depth refrigerator- Expensive, top-of-the-line refrigerator with compressor failure just after 2 years of use. Over $900 in labor costs, took over a week to get the replacement part (we are in Seattle). Customer service at LG did not care about any of this, at all. Glass cooktop is very difficult to clean and keep clean. In order to clean, it is necessary to use a special Glass stovetop cleaner after each use. Dont like the dials on the front of the stove. Easy to bump into and accidentally turn the burners on. This model is a Slide in and when the oven is turned on it emits a very high pitched sound thru the exhaust on the back of the stove.

This is the worst washing machine ever invented! The 23-year-old Kenmore I replaced was still running and better than this. If the drum hadnt developed rust spots, I would have kept it. If you want a science project that grows mold, this is your machine. I wiped out the gasket with Clorox wipes, leave the door open when not in use and it still grows mold. My towels smell like someone urinated on them. I have had service out here and nothing is fixed. I was sold tablets to wash the drum with; did not fix the problem. This was the biggest waste of money I ever spent. I want my old Kenmore back. There is no quality any more, the dishwasher I bought from Sears is of poor quality too. I was a lifetime Sears shopper for appliances. In the 35 years I have been married, we bought all our major appliance at Sears, as did my parents. Where is the quality now?

We purchased an LG refrigerator (model: Lfx28968ST) about a year ago so it is a new appliance. It stopped cooling so we called LG customer service to have a technician come out with no resolution. This problem has persisted since April 9, and we have had 3 technicians come to try to fix the problem...all have failed. To make matters worst, the first technician scratched our wood floors pulling the refrigerator out so now there is damage to our floors. LG promised us that after the third attempt, they would replace the entire refrigerator unit for us. However, I spoke to them again today and they are trying to send out another technician... this will be the fourth attempt to fix it! The most recent technician that came out even called LG himself and recommended a brand new appliance as he felt this one could not be fixed! I spoke to a manager today who was very rude and basically informed me that I needed to provide more receipts and information and that this would be a long drawn out process because we are now claiming damages for our floors. She did not even apologize for the fact that we have been without a working refrigerator since the beginning of April (today is May 15, 2014) and had a rude attitude!! Not to mention all of our food spoiled, and we have not been able to buy groceries during this time coupled with the fact that our hardwood floors are now substantially scratched/damaged, and LG has broken their promise of replacing the refrigerator as they are insisting to send out more technicians and order more parts...and to top if off rude, and unhelpful customer service/management. I am not one to complain and have been very understanding up to this point. I will never ever buy another LG product EVER AGAIN! I cant believe a company like this is still in business!

I did not know about this site when we purchased our LG products, freestanding double oven electric range, french door refrigerator and washer and dryer. Had the microwave but took it back right away as it was so dark inside and the light very dim. Bought a KitchenAid microwave and previously dishwasher. I have a problem with the self-clean feature of the oven. I have broiled steaks on the quick broil feature. Guess what when you use this feature, the fat will splatter inside the oven. After cooking the steaks I cleaned the oven but the floor of the oven in front of the door did not clean. It looked really baked on and you could not wipe it clean at all. I have the blue enamel oven. I did not touch this area - afraid I would void the warranty so called the executive warranty dept. Spoke with Wendy and she said they should be able to schedule an appt for Friday. Waited for the call but none came so we assumed they would show up on Friday.NO SHOW NO CALL. Called back and Wendy said her computer was down but we did get a response to schedule for the following Friday. Repair guy said it should not have done that either. Called Tech department and they told my husband to put wet paper towels over the area and use the easy clean feature. It did remove the baked on mess so they told us they would not warranty it. I was so madddd!!! I called and spoke with Brenda ** and she told me I didnt need to get an attitude with her. I explained that I am allowed to cook in the oven and that food will splatter (she said splatters are not covered by warranty). The oven has a self-clean feature and of course LG expects food to be splattered why else would you have a self-clean feature? I expect it to work and not to have to clean it first before I use the self-clean feature. The feature cleaned the oven beautifully except the foot and half area in front of the door.I told the rep that I felt it was a seal problem and it wasnt getting hot enough in that particular area to clean the food. She was going to check with her tech and emailed me that it was not covered under warranty. I emailed her back that was unacceptable. I wanted the general managers number and I was going to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney Generals Office. I will not give up. I know they want me to cause our warranty is about up also and if they stall me then they wont have to deal with it. Now I just need to figure out how to contact him but am filing a complaint with both agencies. I did not know about this site before buying our products.

WARNING!!!! I was cleaning out my refrigerator and cleaning the glass shelves. I washed the large glass shelf after it had sat on my counter for about 15-20 minutes. I used lukewarm water and soap. After washing it it, I was drying it with a paper towel and it EXPLODED! YES literally EXPLODED not just broke. Glass everywhere! I had glass in my hall way, Glass on my cook top, glass on my espresso machine, Shards embedded in my kitchen window frame. Luckily I had my glasses on because I had shards in my glasses! Could have been my eyes! Glass shards in my lip, my arm and in my hair. My sinks were filled with it and I even had it in my Island sink and Under my Island! I asked my neighbor to help me get it out of my hair and the tiny fragments off my face. I reported it to LG and they did not seem real concerned but asked me to send them photos. Sent photos of my cuts and my glasses and the huge mess this caused. LG called and said Id have to get a technician to come. Id have to pay for it but may qualify for reimbursement of tech fee. Unbelievable. Im still in shock and now scared to death to ever clean it again. This is very dangerous!

I bought LG washer/dryer from Best Buy and had the 5-year service protection plan. I have had leaking problem and had Best Buy out two times. Two weeks ago, the washer started leaking. I found plastic pieces in cleanout. I contacted LG, who referred me to A&E Factory Service (nationwide). I called and they returned my call on a Monday. I then made appointment for Thursday. They called that day sick, so I had to make another appointment a week later (earliest and now 10 days after speaking with them). I called LG, who referred me to a local company. They came out the following Monday (now over one week). They turned the washer on and said the lifetime warranty stainless steel drum is warped. I said it is hard to bend them, so was it an original problem? They said it caused damage to seal. After paying them for diagnostic trip, he said I have to pay for all labor and any other part, except wash drum. Okay, he approved using washer if I was okay with small leaking. Appointment was set for three days later. I used the washer and it turned into a gusher. He came back that evening and said that drum ripped front gasket. He will pay for that. Meantime, I called LG. They said that drum suddenly becoming warped is not likely, but it could happen. I said it has been this way since we had it. It has always been loud and it vibrated more than our old Maytag but we had to leave it at the old house on sale of house. They said they will cover drum, but nothing else. Tech came out on Thursday (this past) and opened up washer. (Finally, he actually opened to look at all of it.) The drum was so warped that it cut open (gouged) a hole in the outer plastic drum (front section). It had a circular gouge around the almost complete perimeter. He told me that part is no longer available because washer was over 7 years old. It was made in 2005 and I bought in 2006. He told me to buy a new washer. After he left, I called LG who said that part can be bought as an aftermarket part but they do not make the original part anymore. Swell. They gave me names of two parts suppliers. Part is $100 but has to be mailed at an oversize part ($50). I called service company to tell them it is available. They called and placed an order. On Friday, next day, part still was not shipped to them. I cancelled service (now estimated to be over $400) and bought a new Whirlpool set. LG refused to take ownership of problem that was caused by a lifetime part and they admitted that it was likely like that from beginning, but would not say 100%. Theyre out. They told me I should have noticed something not right, even though I had Best Buy out two times. I called Best Buy and they told me their service is a plan not a warranty. If there was a lifetime warranty issue, they would have had LG fix it, not them. Now my problem went on for two weeks with no conclusion, other than me cancelling service and throwing that piece of junk out. The company I called recommended the Whirlpool because it is US made. They said the biggest problem with LG is that it is all Korean or Chinese made and parts are difficult to come by. No kidding. Manufacturer is only obligated for 7 years per them and LG. If you want your machine to last more than 7 years and you paid big bucks for it, look for something other than LG. They will not back up their products in any way feasible. I understand warranties but when a lifetime-warrantied product is the culprit of a major problem, dont blame the customer for not knowing it was an issue, even though a service tech they recommend doesnt catch it either.

We purchased the LG TOMM Washer & Dryer, and the Washer Seal around the door has always smelled moldy and puttered. After numerous complaints we were asked if we ran an empty cycle with Fresh Product or bleach to alleviate the problem. My comment was and is twofold, first why would anyone purchase a energy saving product and need to run an extra load every third or fourth load to clean the machine which is suppose to clean our cloths? Where is the savings with that? Secondly why is everyone having this problem and the Foreign Manufacturer doing nothing? Besides maybe someone in this country still builds a quality product domestically! We are willing to pay the price to support good design engineering and American Built Products. We purchased an LG high-efficiency washer several years ago and have had the same problems described by others. The washing machine smells of mildew often and I tried to control it by running empty cycles with bleach and also empty baking soda loads. The baking soda sometimes does not completely come out of the detergent drawer and we then have to do another rinse cycle. Another problem is it stains on our clothes. They appear randomly and we are unable to remove them. It has been very expensive and time-consuming to run extra empty loads to try and keep the washer clean, get rid of the smell and hopefully get rid of whatever is causing the stains. The biggest expense for us has been the ruined clothes. This is a never-ending problem and the only solution is purchasing a new washer that works properly! This LG has been an incredible money pit and disappointment!

The LG Model LDE4413ST could have burned down my house! The knobs are way too sensitive, so whenever anyone brushes past them, even slightly and without the knob pushed in, the stove top turns on and you wouldnt even notice until its too late. Very dangerous. Someone else in my family has a gas LG range and this happens to them all the time as well, so I wouldnt be surprised if a lot of other people have this issue. We put in a complaint with LG with pictures of the damage. Tim, whom my husband spoke with on the phone, told us This wasnt your fault. Well take care of it. The title says it all. I had the unfortunate incident of cracking the stove top glass of my LG stove top when I was holding my one year old boy and I accidentally dropped a drinking glass about 1 foot from the glass. I went to the LG website and the price quoted was $844 + tax. I called 3 appliance repair guys and they all said, that nobody should ever by LG stove foe this very reason. THAT THE PARTS ARE OUTRAGIOUSLY PRICED!!!! Why didnt the LOWES appliance sales guy tell me that when I bought asked for advice on whether or not I should be local or LG? I spent almost $20,000 on all new LG appliances a few years ago. Never again! I will now buy locally manufactured goods because parts are readily available and significantly less costly. Expensive lesson learned. LG builds obsolescence into their products by outrageously charging exorbitant prices on parts! LG should be ashamed of themselves. A little mistake would now cost me and my family about $1000 to replace a glass top that is almost as expensive as a brand new stove. I will be throwing the LG stove out the window and will be buying a new locally manufactured stove. Will never ever buy LG again.

Has all types of cycles and add water and timing feature along with Bluetooth though I have never found need to use that feature. Seems to be well built and comes with 10 year drive system guarantee. Also has a really good balance system for unbalanced loads such that it works the cloth forwards and backwards until load is balanced before final spin. Older models dont have that feature and eventually tear themselves apart spinning an unbalanced load. Works well and saves water and detergent and has all features. Purchased LMXS30776S/02 fridge from H. H. Gregg in May of 2016, actually delivered in July. We were replacing a 10-year old Frigidaire gallery/professional side-by-side that was difficult to open fully due to our kitchen configuration. Aside from an occasional evaporator fan failure ($10.00 and 20 minute fix for a novice like myself), it never gave us a single problem and was a beautiful unit. The salesman raved about the durability of the LG linear compressor. We opted for a 5-year extended warranty (which is now defunct as the company that services this will not answer customer requests via their web page... which is the only form of contact). It began on 04/16/2019 and ended in the complete lack of cooling sometime around midnight. The fan is running, compressor is running but noisy, no cooling, coils room temperature. I attempted to contact LG, but they dont answer the phone... They send you a troubleshooting email and then refer you to expensive 3rd party repair services once out of the 1 year (criminal) parts and labor warranty. Looking at parts, a compressor for an average fridge (in a kit with isolators, drier, harnesses, valve, etc) is around $150.00 for the average Electrolux/Frigidaire or equivalent. Sure, there is some soldering. The same bare compressor for the LG is nearly $400.00 (because you can charge what the market will bear, forget being fair). The drier is an additional $60.00. Im guessing that installation is basically going to be less than the total of the parts as is customary, and then there is the charge for vacuuming it down and installing the 4.76oz of R134 refrigerant. Not to mention the warped subfloor under our fridge from the ice in the ice maker melting everywhere and the loss of a few hundred dollars in groceries. Again, criminal. There was a class-action lawsuit, however our fridge was brand new when this witch hunt began, so we had no reason to look for such a thing. Now that it has failed prematurely, I learn that warranties were extended for the few rather than the many. All in all, Id like to thank LG for being so classy about ignoring this issue and the customers who paid a small fortune hoping that you actually do get what you pay for or at least be treated fairly when a problem did arise... just to find out that a college dorm fridge was probably a better deal. Thanks, LG. I hope your reputation eventually catches up with you!

I purchased an LG front load washer and dryer from Leons in Bancroft Ontario 5 years and 8 months ago. Shortly after we bought it, we noticed that our laundry was coming out with a sewage smell on it. We used the tub clean cycle as often as possible but it didnt really help. We also started to leave the door open which helped somewhat but the odor never really went away. On one occasion, I found that the machine had dumped suds on the floor. Last week I washed a load of towels and during the cycle, smoke started coming out of the drum area. I called Leons in Bancroft who referred me to a local service man as the machine was out of warranty. The service man said he would look a the machine but if it needed parts he couldnt help me as LG would not supply him with parts or tech support.I emailed LG who replied that they only supply parts to authorized service agencies. The one for my area was 60 kilometers away. LG stated that they would do a 1 time courtesy repair. I asked if they would also address the sewage stink issue as well. I was advised to add powdered detergent to the washer and cycle it to remove residue. I was also advised to mix up a solution of bleach and water and wipe down the gasket and dry it after each use! I also asked about what would happen the next time the machine started to smoke. I imagine that I would have to call the service agent who is 60 kilometers away and pay time and mileage as well as the service time. As far as I am concerned, where theres smoke theres fire and I dont trust this faulty machine to be in my house. It is now in my back yard and I purchased a top loading machine (not LG). I will not be buying any of their products in the future.

We purchased this lovely fridge for our new home.and purchased a warranty with it just in case we has some issues. We are in Texas it is still hot here or it was while waiting for repairs. Our fridge began making noises and finally just stopped. We requested service on it after waiting a couple of days and troubleshooting for solutions. In the midst of hoping it would start to work again, we lost EVERYTHING in it-steaks, chicken, dressings, everything!! We finally got a service company (Premiere) to come out-2 weeks later. Mind you its hot here in Texas so we have been living out of ice chest now for 3 weeks. They finally come out for repairs after 3 weeks and the compressor is out and the blower. Parts need to be ordered. More weeks of waiting and purchasing ice. They finally came out last week and installed the compressor and the blower. It took 4 hours!! Repairman left after being frustrated that it took so long for him to repair! We were told it would take up to 36 hours to be back to normal and temperature. 3 days passed and our refrigerator never made ice and was still warm!! We called back the repair company and we were told they closed out the claim and we were back in the line again for repairs!!This is horrible, horrible customer service! My family and I have been without a fridge for a month and still dont know now when it will be looked at again. We are starting from scratch. This is a 3000.00 refrigerator! Who in management is reading the customer complaints and who can help us?? We need a new refrigerator!! Everyone has been rude even Home Depot where it was purchased!Over a month without food and groceries and nowhere to put them. We lost over 450.00 of food if not more in our fridge and so many bags of ice. This is unacceptable and I plan to go as high as I can until someone calls to help us with this refrigerator issue. It is still under warranty!! This lovely on the outside not working on the inside fridge is horrible!I am adding these notes to Twitter, Facebook and all social media I can until someone helps us or at least contacts us. This has been a horrible experience!! If you are reading or concerned LG, please contact me. We have been told now it will be a while before someone will be out. Almost 2 months without a refrigerator! Frustrated, angry and disgusted with anything LG.

I cant even describe the awful experience my wife and I had with our LG refrigerator and dealing with the company itself. It took 3 months from the time our fridge stopped working until the time a resolution was made. I will not go into detail in this review as it would be too lengthy of a review and the fact I dont feel like recalling/reliving the horrible experience we had.

Both my son and I bought LG washers. Bearings out on mine and cost to repair was equal to buying new washer. He had the extended warranty. Called the help line. Someone just kept repeating with a foreign accent, Only the drum (stainless will be around forever) and the motor are covered. My model had mold and mildew problems from the beginning. Now we both have nice dryers and will have mismatched washers. Beware! Bearings are not covered and you will have a flood, no washer, mismatched appliances, ruined flooring. Of course our State is not in the class action against LG. Guess where we would like to stick the stainless drum!

I liked the design most of all appearance-wise, but also that there was an option for the ice to be dispensed on it. It was also pretty decent size. Overall I was very satisfied with all of this for the most part and since our old fridge was very small it made life a bit easier. I would improve a tad more space though, and more shelving available for use or drawers. I feel I would have liked it even more if there had been more space or Storage available for the items needing to be in the fridge since we do buy large amounts of groceries at a time. We have a bigger family so we have to get large amounts when we go grocery shopping and our old fridge would just never cut it per se.

Not really happy with the machine nor LG customer service. My fiancé got a really good deal on the washer but a year later, we found out why the machine was discontinued. We could not take the machine back nor get our money back. We had the update and now I regret purchasing this machine. Some days I feel like the machine will still blow. I dont like how it bangs against the sides. It tends to keep running. What was a water saver is not a water saver no more. LG has really bad customer service and I think they should be giving refunds out. I cannot afford to buy a New machine and cannot sell this machine because I will never get my money back for the machine. For something that LG might have known about before they recalled the machine.

Very reasonable price, easy to operate and the brand well recommended. It was very easy and simple to operate. Like the features, Ive owned and used these item for over 13 years and have not had any issues or problems with them. Regular repairs would definitely be a deal breaker because, Ill be forced to pay or spend extra money on these items if not investing in another brand. Im a male who washes most of the time because the wife is away so, I have known what cycle and temperature to use when washing whites, colored or black garments. So because this product is seamless to operate Ive never had any problems doing my laundry. Beside the price fitted in my budget.

I will NEVER buy another LG product. This washer has almost made me lose my sanity. I keep getting uneven loads and I re-load and re-load and re-load and it takes a day or so to finish one load of laundry. This so called smart drum sucks. If you are smart you will never buy any LG products. I have told all of my family (large family) and all of my friends nationwide to never buy the LG product. You will only have a headache every time you try to do laundry.

Bought our LG washing machine at RC Willey. After 6 months we get the dreaded UE error code. Weve had a repair company out 4 times now. 3 control boards, a water inlet valve and a dispenser tray. The repair guy also warned us about a number of other parts to expect to go out. LG corporate attitude is well keep fixing it till your warranty runs out then youre on your own! Never again will I buy anything LG! Going back to Whirlpool.

We purchased a brand new LG Refrigerator LFX33975 fall of 2013 prior to moving into our new home. In less than a year 1/2, we noticed the bottom of the left side door beginning to rust on the bottom side. Directly below the ICE/WATER dispenser due to a manufacturers leaking problem. We called LGs warranty department and they sent an LG specialist to come out and take a look at our complaint. He determined that there was a leak caused by the ice and water dispenser. The leak was due to a manufacturers default. Because the dispenser should have never leaked out into the bottom of the door frame which caused the rust. The LG specialist said he would have to order a new door and a new ice maker that were shipped directly to our home. He then called to find out if both parts had been delivered and we told him yes. We then arranged an appointment for him to come out and replace these parts. Now they want us to be responsible for the repair cost of $224.70 that they should have come out and repaired at their cost. We are even being harassed by a collection agency which even sent us a letter demanding payment. Such an expensive fridge should not have this problem especially being just over one year of owning this fridge. I am sure that there are many disappointed customers dealing with the same manufacturers defect. They deserve to have a class action suit put on them. If LG is harassing us like this I can just imagine how awful they are to others. I will never again buy any LG products in the future!!! WE ARE NOT PAYING FOR THEIR MISTAKE!!!

True Balance is HORRIBLE. Just as many other reviewers said, the balancing feature on this machine is a total nightmare. Do NOT buy an LG washing machine. In fact, I am so frustrated, I will never buy LG anything. Ever.

We shopped around a little bit then it came down to which one we liked in terms of aesthetics. We chose LG pretty much for the features. Its a beautiful refrigerator and I like the visibility of the program, the temperature and those type of things. But our experience has not been good so far. The top part stopped cooling and then apparently, something happened with the ice getting blocked. Im not sure how that actually happened but we had to turn it off and take the ice out. It was a little bit of a pain. But the repair guy was really great and the customer service was good other than the fact that they overbooked the guy to come out that day. He was a little late. But he was able to fix the issue and hopefully, it stays okay. If not, well have to call LG back.

I bought an LG 2.0 Microwave from Home Deposit. After only 3 months it started making horrible noises each time the glass turntable rotated. I called LG customer service. I was told to submit my invoice by PDF and would receive a refund check. That info was received. Two weeks later a different LG customer service employee wanted me to sign a waiver before they could issue a check. They also wanted photos of the metal serial number even though they were verbally given to them the first time. BTW: They don’t repair microwaves, but supposedly and eventually cut you a check for another LG microwave upon proof of purchase. Of course they never explained that initially as their rules change with every contact. I told the CS rep. after the fourth call to me (forget about trying to contact them) that I use a microwave every day and can’t wait weeks or months for them to reimburse me.Besides, why would I want to buy the same LG microwave again. I got another brand of microwave the day after the defective one. This is exactly where they want you. You are skeptical of LG microwaves, you bought another brand, so basically you will never be reimbursed for their defective product. This type of deception should result in a class action lawsuit. I believe that stealing $130 is a felony. They didn’t assign any order number to this case, but I have all their correspondence and screenshots of their acceptance of my submitted receipt.

Have owned three LG refrigerators, all ended up throwing away after multiple repairs. All came in new, but either began leaking (first two) or not cooling (compressor) right after warranty expired. It cost a lot of money and time to deal with the headache. No more LG!

Have had this washer/dryer for close to 10 years. Both have worked well. We have not had any mechanical issues. Washer has done a great job. I would recommend this brand to others. Both units are front loaders. The drums are large which I believe helps circulate the clothes to do a better job of cleaning.

I bought a front load LG washing Machine. I unplugged the machine when I heard it making a kind of grinding sliding noise. To me it sounded like the belt broke. I called a local repairman to come see about the washer. He told me he could not help me because LG is a brand name out of Korea and its very hard to order parts for these type of machines. He told me none of the local repair guys will come fix it and if they did they would charge a lot. He told me to call the warranty company, but my warranty ran out already. I had no idea LG was a Korean name brand. I will never purchase another LG, anything.

Purchased a Flat top Range and received it TODAY. Oven works, no instructions for menu settings, cooktop doesnt work, called appliance store and they instructed me to call LG. LG says 2 1/2 weeks for a technician to come out. Have to wait 2 weeks for them to tell me my new $2000 stove is junk and I got to get it swapped out. Then Ill have to wait a week for that one and around we go. Should have stuck with my gut and went with a reputable appliance manufacturer not a ** cell phone maker. Who knew that making cell phones is easier than a stove.

Bought my LG REFRIGERATOR on November 18th, 2015. Right away it had a noise coming from it. The first of December 2018, woke up to a puddle of water in front of the refrigerator. Opened the door and the freezer was warm. Called LG, they sent a technician out, he had to replace the compressor and the circuit board, waited 1 week for parts to come in. Technician came and replace the parts. 2 days later, something happened AGAIN, waiting for another week for him to come out (because he was busy doing other repairs), he added Freon, that lasted for 2 days, then the day before Christmas eve 2018, he came out and put more Freon in it. The Technician CANT FIND THE PROBLEM. Now, its December 29th 2018, still not fixed. We been on the phone with LG for the last 4 weeks. All they keep saying is that they will send the repair guy out. Now mind you, I had to throw out over 500.00 worth of food in the beginning. They are going to refund us a check for 150.00 and the Technician already got paid for the job, 250.00. Hes been out 3 times so far, each time for at least 4-5 each time. All LG WANTS TO IS KEEP TRYING TO FIX IT. It seems to me with all of these problems that all of us consumers are having, that they would just replace them... Im still without a refrigerator and have 2 little kids. THEY DONT CARE. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG REFRIGERATOR. FROM NORTHEAST OHIO.
