Received letter in May 2013 about recall of LG washer that I purchased about 18 months previously. Called the number listed and set up appointment for replacement of motherboard. That is when the problems started. There were numerous problems and it involved many calls to the company. Six months and eight technician visits later I finally got through to a company supervisor who agreed to replace the recalled machine. Delivered on November 27th, 2014. The very first time I used it the machine shut down completely while full of water. Put cycle on drain and spin and it solved that problem. In the following four months there have been a number of other problems including very low water fill, even for smaller loads. Extremely frustrating because I have to keep pressing the button for extra water and it only puts in a small amount. After the fourth press, it fills to the very top which is too much water. There is no happy medium. Also, there is a button for warm water but it always fills with cold water. As with all the other complaints I have read, there is also a balance problem with this machine. I have placed several calls to the supervisor I spoke with in November but they have been ignored. The machine that I had before the LG was a Maytag and I used it hard (we were a family of three children and three adults) and it went strong for 23 years. The only replacement on it was a belt. If my calls to the company are not returned, I intend to fill out a complaint with the BBB.

Not satisfied with my LG Refrigerator #LFX25991ST. I purchased this refrigerator in February 17, 2013 and now the freezer/and main food compartment doesnt cool or freeze. However, the interior light does work. Called LG and they advised me that a Tech would be out in two days to check it out. So we bought ice. The Tech did arrive in two days, checked it out and found that the compressor had failed. My Fridge is still under warranty and should not have a problem getting it fixed, but its new. I kind of look at the fridge as buying a car, turns bad there is a lemon law that protects the customer. The compressor is like the engine of a car going bad. Well, the Tech did call in to Atlanta, Georgia to request a new compressor and should arrive in two days. He said it would take three (3) hours to replace. We will see this Thursday, Jul 25, 2013, if he is correct or even shows up.

When my ancient Whirlpool washer finally died in the fall of 2012, we decided it was time for an upgrade. My partner found a good deal via a big-box retailer for an LG washer and dryer... good stuff, right? From day one, the dryer has been nothing but an albatross around our necks. Almost immediately it begin to fail after only a few uses. The rather abrupt LG technicians kept stating that our venting system was to blame. We cleaned it carefully and still had problems. Finally, an independent technician suggested we route the vent directly to the outside, which we did. Never mind the built-in vent system worked adequately with our old dryer... Well play the game. Finally, the dryer seemed to work well.Recently, my daughter was preparing to dry her clothes and noted that one of the electrical breakers had flipped due to the dryer activation. We re-flipped the breaker and the dryer was activated but did not dry. Nothing like a little midnight unloading of wet clothes and rigging a temporary clothesline, eh? Of course, we contacted LG and received the standard line Did you check your vent? We did receive a technician referral but of course no service call until Monday, so we experienced a pioneer lifestyle with our clothing needs for the weekend. No real problem, just a hassle. The friendly technician spent approximately five minutes finding the problem, a burned wiring harness. Yep, parts to be ordered and over $300.00 in repairs. The technician remarked that it is wise to stay away from LG, Samsung, and Kenmore appliances as they contain substandard parts. He didnt have to tell me twice. Ill fix this thing, of course. And then Ill go shopping for a good AMERICAN brand like I should have done in the first place. Moral of the story, STAY AWAY FROM LG!

This frig was bought Dec. 2006 for $1349. Several years ago, upon opening frig the plastic cover over the light bulbs had melted and fallen down. Terrible smell and it had turned light bulb black. Last night noticed that butter from butter compartment was as if it had been in microwave. Melted in my hand. The light bulb left on was across from butter compartment.Just realized that there has been a problem with lights not turning off when door closed. Also several years ago one vegetable drawer broke off and had to reorder part. Now also 2nd shelf is totally falling apart. Plastic is brittle. It is only 2 people in this household and this frig has not been abused in any way. I hope there is some compensation for this as I am just really irritated. From my reading LG knew about this problem in 2005 and 2006 and continued to sell this unit.

I purchased the front loader LG laundry and gas dryer DLG2702V from Home Depot. I also purchased the 4-year extended warranty. Both worked fine for almost two years now. Two weeks ago the dryer destroyed a load of shirts, my office shirts probably a $300 replacement cost. When I opened the door a strong smell of burned electric wires come out. The shirts are full of holes, as if burned at random, and the steel drum is covered in a grey-colored film.

I purchased a new LG washer and dryer in April 2018. From the beginning the dryer leaked water from the door. When I called they told me not to use dryer sheets. I wasnt, Lint collects on the gasket on the door and continues to leak. Ive been calling them for 6 months. A guy came out and did nothing. He said they would order me a new door and front. In the end they never returned a phone call. My dryer still leaks water and Im looking for the Better Business Bureau information. I will never buy another LG product again.

Our refrigerator failed because the compressor starter. I reached LG customer service after I searched for the part and find out that the part is no longer available. After 3 calls and checking with the companies that supply LG parts and service (recommended by LG customer Service), I called again and I told the lady that the part was not available and the people from those companies recommended me to call back LG and ask for a substitute part. The lady told me LG does not have a substitute part and that I need to buy a new refrigerator. Guess what, I got a new refrigerator. NO LG, NEVER AGAIN!

Updated on 06/22/2020: I spoke with Loretta, angelic on 6/9, spoke to Britney on 5/15/20, spoke with Charlie on 5/27. I spoke to a supervisor Abigale on 6/9 & spoke to another supervisor Kenisha on 6/10. I have spent $20.00 per day on ice, 29 days... We lost over $925.00 of food. I bought 2 large coolers at $60.00 each just to keep some food in house with buying ice every day. I spent $100.00 for a company to come out to find out what the problem is and what our LG 3 year old product needs. I have spent an entire day home for your so-called repair ppl from TNBS to service our unit on 5-25 no one showed. Wasted an entire day from work and that cost me $850.00. So I’m out of pocket. So I’m out of pocket almost $ 2500.00, how are you going to handle that situation. Plus my wasted time, gas getting ice, on the phone for hours day after day. I’m sure if you ppl at LG had your act together you’d find my information. By the way your employees don’t care and your compressors that you install on the new machines are already 10 years old. Your corporate office and president has no clue on treating clients properly. It’s beyond my comprehension why and how a company of this size survives with this type of attitude. So tell me when I’ll be reimbursed for all the damages? Having my dad on home hospice care made this situation beyond unreasonableOriginal Review: We bought our LG in Oct 2016. Worked fine up until May 15 2020. Compressor stopped. Had independent service person confirm & write report. Cost me $100.00. Called LG for over 3 weeks to get some to repair. Wrote a letter to the President of LG, no response. I have 5 people in our home, including a dad on home hospice care (I even explained that to every person I spoke with. Absolutely Zero customer no service, NOTHING). Finally after 4 weeks (and using 2 large coolers and filling/buying ice EVERYDAY) I called again, finally got through and got an appointment for a week later. Per the tech, LG doesnt care about issues, after the sale you can go pound sand. Typically his route consists of MANY people with fridges not working 3-5 weeks. Nice guy but he works for one of the worst customer care serviced I have ever experienced in my life. I wouldnt buy & LG product if someone paid me.

Bar none, THE worst dishwasher (dishwasher is an oxymoron) we have ever had. Worse even than the defunct one we replaced. I rinse all dishes but when I unload it I sometimes wonder if water touched anything. Also the soap is dried on the interior door, hello! Does it even rinse the door off? I gave it one star because it is indeed quiet but I have resorted to washing dishes mostly by hand now if I want them all to be reliably cleaned.

We have now replaced both the main board and control board on our LG front load washer all within 8 months. The cost now equals what we paid for the washer. We are not happy! The service repairman informed me that we needed to put a surge protector on the machine. He used to work for the manufacturer! Where in the manual is that mentioned? For only $5.00, we could have saved well over $1,000 for replacement and service. Why is this not told to the consumer when the machine was purchased? Has anyone else experienced this? Were you told to plug in a surge protector?

I was on the market for a new fridge but I didnt do so with a specific brand in mind. The LG I have now just so happened to be what I preferred when wholly considered, monetarily included. Along with a lot of others Im sure, my favorite part was of course the ice/water section built into the door. It made life that much more convenient, which is something we as a species crave seemingly primarily, convenience. The side by side design was weird to me at first, I mean compared to the traditional top and bottom design which has the homey feeling of childhood, that felt more like staying the night at a buddies. But over time Ive grown to love it overall.

Purchased a LG 1.5 ft.³ smart inverter microwave oven in August 2019. Three weeks later the unit quit heating. I called LG customer support and was eventually told the magnetron was defective. I was told I could send the microwave back to LG and they would replace me with a brand new one. Not wanting to wait, I decided to return the microwave to Home Depot where it was purchased and was given a full refund. Because Home Depot‘s return policy includes a 90 day exchange or refund, I decided to purchase a different brand. The moral to this story is don’t wait on LG to refund, replace, or repair your appliance if it is newer than three months. Take it back to the store you bought it from instead. Far less stressful.

April 1, 2016 I purchased an LG French Door Refrigerator from Topline Appliance with 5 yr extended warranty from New Leaf Svc Contractors. Within the first 2 yrs, the compressor died and we lost all our food. The Warranty co only replaced up to $200 for our food loss. The compressor was replaced and the refrigerator worked fine for a while. In Jan 2021 the display stopped working on the door panel. Contacted LG and together we got it working. On 2/19/21 the ice maker stopped working. After multiple attempts to troubleshoot via the manual, and with LG representative, I contacted Topline, they put me in touch with the warranty co for repair. I finally heard back from them on 2/25/21. The repairman, ED came out on 3/3/21 didnt have the right parts to fix it, so order multiple parts to be delivered. He came back a 2nd time on 3/11/21 and replaced the computer board along with other parts and it still didnt fix the ice maker. He put in a request for a replacement door or replacement refrigerator. I was told the door was on back order and should be delivered by 4/4/21. Never heard from anyone and the door never came. On 4/12/21 I called New Leaf because the display stopped working. Several troubleshooting attempts failed. On 4/27/21 Jordy at New Leaf stated it door could take up to 12 wks and that it would take care of the issue with the display as well. He told me he would contact LG & call me back, never got a response back. Multiple attempts to contact New Leaf (Jordy) & LG regarding the status of the door were ignored again. 5/7/21 after multiple holds, I finally spoke to Jessica, supervisor with New Leaf. She told me her hands are tied because the door cant be outsourced & has to be specially made by LG directly. She put me on hold while she contacted LG to get further information regarding the status of the door. After many inconsistencies with LG, she said she would look into it further and get back to me. Here it is 5/17/21 and still no word from LG or New Leaf. I blame LG & New Leaf for poor customer service as well as a product that does not live up to its supposed 20 yr life span or price tag of $2500. If I dont get a response from them or receive the door by 6/3/21, My next step will be the media & my attorney. I DO NOT recommend LG French Door Refrigerator! I do however, love the black stainless, and the large capacity it holds.

I currently fighting with LG on my stove (LRE6383ST). Hey has anyone every dealt with LG, for warranty on a range? It only 6 months old, my convection oven has stop working on Easter Sunday 2017. They first told me that they would replaced it with a new stove. Now they are given me the runaround for weeks, now they tell me that is going to be another 3 to 5 business days before they know what or how to replace. They said they would repair it but we are too far away for the nearest repair person in Yorkton which living in Raymore we know that there is no repair people to help. Im so angry I was thinking of buying the fridge to match but not now.I waited for 4 weeks when I bought it because they were on back-order. Actually all appliances were due to all companies sending everything to Fort Mac after the fire which was great for them but not for anyone else. All I want is a new range that works for more than 6 months. Now LG said they would give me a store credit only after I send my stove to them in BC and what the hell am I to use till I get a new one. There is another problem. None of the LG RANGES are available nor can they tell me when. It could be months which is not acceptable. How can I cook for my family of 5. The store where I purchase this stove is helping me to deal with LG. LG you need to make this right!!!

Consumers beware when purchasing an LG appliance! If you are remotely mechanically inclined and prefer to save money and repair things yourself, LG is not the manufacturer for you. A little over a year ago LG decided that they will not sell replacement parts to the general public forcing you to call an authorized service center to come to your house at your expense to repair your appliance no matter how small or simple a fix.Recently I needed to replace an $8 tumbler roller on our LG Tromm dryer that had worn and was making noise. It is about a 30 minute fix and requires a screwdriver and two wrenches. LG Canada nor any of its authorized service centers would sell me the part even though I had already removed it and was ready to install a new one. The parts are sold in the USA but every company that sells the part will not ship to Canada. My only options are to either bend to these unfair practices by LG or junk the dryer and buy a new one - albeit a different brand!

I bought an LG french door fridge with bottom freezer. After just under a year, the ice machine went and I had to have it replaced. This was covered under warranty. However, my fridge is not quite 3 years old yet and the Linear Compressor went. LG told me the part is under warranty, but labor is not. So, I waited a week for the technician to come out and have a look at the fridge. He told me that the part is only about $150 (but covered under warranty), but the labor would cost me about $900 plus to fix and he couldnt even guarantee that it would work after. He told me to just buy a new fridge. So I spent $2300 not even 3 years ago and have to buy a new fridge. LG will not replace it.

Jan 2010 the right side bin of the fridge door started to crack so we had to call customer service to get a replacement. A few months after that the top freezer door would not close shut, with ice forming around the edges. We called customer service to help us with this situation but all they told us was that they could not help us because our warranty expired. We asked to buy one right away but they said they count not extend it because it has already been over a year... so ridiculous. Now we have to pay for the damages of this fridge with the money in our own pockets when the company could not even build a fridge that can last us more than 2 years. Horrible customer service. My husband and I built our house and moved in just over a month ago (September 2012). We decided to purchase an LG stainless steel dishwasher, because it was visually appealing and we were told it was quiet and had positive ratings. I must admit that the dishwasher is extremely quiet; however, it has yet to clean our dishes since the first time we have used it. The dishes/glasses on the top rack always come out dirty, and often, I will have to put them back into the dishwasher for a second or third time. There have also been a few times where the dishes were still wet and I had to dry them by hand. The most frustrating part is that the last few times we have used the dishwasher, we have opened the door just to discover the package of detergent stuck to the inside part of the door unopened (we use Cascade and have never had issues before). As a result, the dishes were only washed in water since no detergent was released out of the package which was still intact. Clearly, this dishwasher is too weak, as weve only had it for a month and age cannot be to blame.

After calling LG, they said, through smart technology of my refrigerator, that the error code SBS-ERDS (defrosting system) will require a repair. They offered me a charge of $425 (1 year) or $338 (1 time) repair. I cant believe this! After only 17 months of usage, this piece of garbage refrigerator is already costing me more money. I purchased my LG washing machine 1 1/2 years ago. It is a model WT1101CW. It is constantly saying its unbalanced and has rattled my bathroom floor apart. The tiles are now badly cracked. Not only that, but in the last several months it has developed an issue where it cant run for more than a minute or two at a time without giving me the UE (unbalanced) error code. I called the LG recall line after seeing that some similar LG machines have been recalled for the same issues, but was told that based on my machines serial number, my machine isnt one of those recalled. I was then transferred to customer service who again told me to make sure that the machine is level. The machine is perfectly level. I have cleaned the tub often, and also tried unplugging it and pressing start and pause as LGs customer service department has also suggested.I was also told by their customer service department that I could try adding a cycle option such as add fabric softener to increase the amount of water in the tub. Since it only has water in it during the tub clean cycle when it also gives an unbalance signal every few minutes, this isnt going to help. It also defeats the purpose of the machine being energy efficient. Today I have spent 9 1/2 hours so far doing a tub clean with just vinegar as they suggested. Every minute or two it gives me the unbalance error code and I have had to restart it. It still has water in it and hasnt finished. It is now 8:30 pm and I started it at 9 am this morning.I just called LGs customer service department for the 6th time in the last few days and was told that since my 1 1/2 year old machine is out of warranty, it will cost a minimum of $299 for a service call! When I objected to the exorbitant price, the representative offered to let me pay with three easy payments. I can buy a new machine for not much more than that. I am 60 years old and have to say that this is the WORST washing machine I have ever owned, and the WORST customer service I have ever received. Also, I believe this model machine needs to be recalled as well. There is definitely an issue with it, and I see from the other complaints on here that I am not the only one having problems with this model. WORST PRODUCT AND WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!

I have several LG appliances, all have had numerous issues. The refrigerator - drawers crack easily, door shelves snap under basic load (the shelf for milk broke off with just milk in it). The range - front panel cracked due to heat (ON A RANGE!!!!). The Dryer - the drum cracked to the point where clothes can probably get through. I contacted support about all of these, and they simply parroted the 1 year parts & labour mantra. Save yourself some money and DO NOT BUY LG.

Do not waste your time trying to get LG to help you. They have a lint filter that will not fit unless they redesigned your dryer. They will delay, they will put you through hell and still get you nowhere even if they sent you a filter for the dryer it still will not fit. They know its a problem. They are not really helping people because it would cost them way too much to redesign each dryer thats out there and there is no class action suit then Im aware of currently. If this website ConsumerAffairs.com is willing to step in and really help people they should see who sent this and passed my contact information which you have my permission to do so to those class action attorneys that will get something done about this. I have spent too much time getting nowhere with LG support. They dont even have the decency to follow up and actually help in a real way. Again anyone who has any connection with LG that thinks theyre going to make headway on this they could not afford the amount of expense to either recall or redesign those dryers that are out there that are ruining clothes everyday.

Lifes Good company need to change their name to Lifes Terrible. Recently my refrigerator broke down and its been out of service for about one month now. My husband has contacted LG customer service on numerous occasions. They supposedly arranged (via telephone) for a repair company in our area to come by and service the refrigerator. My husband sat around all day waiting on someone to show up to repair the refrigerator (because they didnt have a definite time a repair technician would stop by). Needless to say, the whole day was wasted, because no one showed up to repair the refrigerator. When my husband called the local appliance company that supposedly had the order to come and repair the refrigerator, they knew nothing about a service order to repair our refrigerator. When my husband spoke with a customer service representative, he was told that the local company would contact him. To this date, no one locally has contacted us. He has spoken with customer service on numerous occasions. He called a company in a city about 150 miles away, if that far, and was told they didnt travel that far to make repairs. He has spoken with customer service at LG on numerous occasions and keeps getting the run around about how they understand being without a refrigerator for a month, but they havent made any progress to fix the situation. Whats worse about this situation is that we own two of LGs refrigerators. We will NEVER, I repeat NEVER purchase another LG appliance or anything else that LG owns, because they have been very apathetic about our situation and doesnt care that weve lost a lot of food that was in the refrigerator and freezer. We are improvising with a little dorm refrigerator and they are not doing ANYTHING to remedy this situation. Were going to tell everyone we know, dont purchase LG appliances or anything that has LGs label attached to it. The lack of service is unacceptable and the absolute worse experience weve ever faced with any purchase, large or small. Life IS NOT good with LG. LG change your name!

My husband purchased an LG front load washer dryer set about a year ago. The washer has been fine so far but the dryer has been a nightmare. Theres the usual problem of the lint trap sticking up so it grabs your strappy things and rips them apart. I cant put any camisoles, bras, etc in the washer. Also I washed a load of all my summer skirts this spring and my daughter didnt know the dryer is hell bent on destroying everything I love and put the whole load in it. Needless to say I lost every last one of them. They came out in a twisted torn up knot with drawstrings ripped off and holes in all the light material. Not one was salvageable.Theres another major design flaw with the lint filter though and thats had the holes in it are too big. Theyre the perfect size for catching big zippers and things and ripping them off. My husband and I both wear Carhartt coveralls in the winter and have multiple pairs. The latch on the front of the coveralls gets caught in the lint filter and ripped off. The zipper on BOTH my Carhartt coats has been destroyed and I have one pair of coveralls left that havent been in that dryer. 4 coveralls, 2 coats, multiple bras, camisoles, nightgowns, skirts, all ruined.Every time I load that dryer from hell I feel compelled to stand and watch the entire time with one finger on the pause button and one hand on the door to try and catch it when it starts to eat my clothes. Sometimes I can catch it, other times its too fast for me. I literally stood there and watched it devour my favorite and newest pair of overalls before I could get the door open. I have a thousand dollar dryer that Im afraid to use and a clothes line in my laundry room. This was a huge mistake, Ill never buy lg anything ever again.

Purchased fridge 1/1/2016. After 3 months we had to have it repaired because ice was forming on fan, they also had to evacuate the system and add freon. Took a few weeks for that repair. At 7 months old it stopped cooling (compressor went bad). Lost $250 worth of food. We had to use one of their authorized servicers due to the warranty and it took 2 weeks for a repair. Almost 3 years to the day after having replaced the compressor, it went bad again. The part is covered, labor is not. It will cost me $300+ for the repair and another $200+ for spoiled food. I should not be spending this kind of money to repair a $3000 refrigerator after only 3 years and 7 months. I have read numerous reviews and this is a very common issue. There have been several class action lawsuits and apparently LG is aware of the subpar performance of this appliance, yet still sells it.

Purchased a LG electric range, dishwasher and refrigerator and microwave. My wife and I decided this would be a present for both of us for our 25th wedding anniversary. We decided to get the top of the line stove with the convection stove, black glass top self cleaning range. The oven was blue inside and all the appliances were stainless steel. Within a few months we used the self cleaning feature on the oven and afterwards, the stove digital display showed an error and nothing worked. We called and after a several weeks, we had a service person come and repair the oven. It seemed that an electrical component had burned out. We again after a month or so used the self clean feature and once again display showed an error and once again waited for a repair. The second repairman told it this the same electrical component had burned out. He informed us that it was an LG design flaw which vented the 500 plus degree cleaning temperature vented partially on the circuit board burning it out. He said to avoid this, to not use the self cleaning feature. So this top of the line self cleaning oven had to be hand scraped clean. We have now noticed that the outer door on the oven is starting to fall off. The inner door is in place and the only thing holding the outer door on right now is the handle. Why of course we are out of warranty and now do we pay outrageous service call fees and parts or let it fall the rest of the way apart and trash it? The refrigerator shelves are flimsy and several have cracks and it takes, if you dont use it, approximately 4 days for the ice bin to fill. Its too bad that you can spend a great deal of money on a product and have problems with it several months after making the purchase. My wife is a Real Estate Broker and will make sure no new or homeowners needing appliance to steer clear of LG products.

We also purchased LG washer/dryer, high end stainless steel. Washer is ok but we have experienced same problems as many others. The dryer LG Tromm DLE3777W never dried clothes correctly. It takes 90 minutes to dry an average load of clothes. An energy star product it is not. The repair guy gave us the same ** about the vent being dirty or clogged. Never was the case. Actually sounds like the repair guy was reading off a script. The second time to the house, the repair guy stated that the dryer was operating as designed. The real problem is that Home Depot is selling this stuff. Home Depots reps are promoting this stuff and LG doesnt stand behind their product. Two options: contact the Better Business Bureau in your state (they are usually really good) and the second option is contact your state Attorney General. LG is selling a defective product and that, in every state, is fraud.

We purchased a microhood at Menards on 04/16/2016. It was to replace a GE microwave which had been over the stove for a number of years. This LG microhood worked for 3 weeks and when I put vegetables in to reheat one day it just didnt heat. I talked to Menards and they said it was up to me to contact LG warranty issues. Trying to understand foreigners is extremely aggravating. Why doesnt anyone keep the jobs in the USA anymore? He had me unplug the microhood to reset it and when that didnt work, tried to find someone to repair it. He was unsuccessful finding a business to work on this product. So now I am stuck waiting for repair scheduling to contact me in a number of days. I need this microwave now! As far as I am concerned this company no longer exists. I am looking at having to purchase a new washer and kitchen range within the next little while and it will not be an LG. My husband works at a car manufacturer where hundreds of people work and we are going to make sure other employees are forewarned about this company. We certainly never expected to get less than a months use from an LG product.

I purchased the LG WT1101CW washing machine in Feb 2015. The machine began to malfunction in November, quitting in the middle of a wash cycle, black control panel, locking a wet load of clothing inside. Fortunately, I had purchased a Geek Squad protection plan. We went through the troubleshooting routine on the phone, to no avail, so they scheduled a repairman within 48 hours.Prior to the visit, I hit the start button on the machine and it started up again. The repairman came to take a look and couldnt see anything wrong with the washer. It ran fine for about a month and repeated same scenario. This time, repair man replaced the control panel. Ran fine for another month and began failing mid-cycle, sporadically, will reset after one, two or three tries at unplugging and replugging machine. Tonight, Ive had to reset the washer four times to get through a medium load of towels. Previously, this has happened with light and heavy loads on various cycles. I have another date with the Geek Squad.I would give this washer zero stars if I could. Im tired of having to climb over this washer to unplug, re-plug, tired of finding the machine hasnt finished washing, tired of having to set up dates where I can wait around for a tech to check out my washer. Im done with LG after this. When the machine works, Ive had fabric softener marks left on my dark clothes, using the Pure Color cycle, requiring a second rinse. The Bright Whites cycle has turned my 800 thread count Egyptian cotton, king sized sheets a dingy yellow color. There is never enough water in the machine to completely submerge any load of laundry. I wonder how clean my clothes really are. I really hate this washer.

Compressor is still under warranty but tech wants $650 to install. It is a $1300 refrigerator. It should have lasted longer than this. I have a new baby and a diabetic in the house. I dont have the means to repair. I am forced to using a ice chest and hoping the insulin will be ok. I am still paying on this piece of worthless junk. This should not happen to a fairly new product. I have an LG front load. It does not have an option to add more water and there is never any extra water in it other than what is on the clothes. As a result I have to wet the clothes down before I start the cycle and do a “rinse and spin” at the end of a full wash as the “extra rinse” does not utilize enough water to justify the electricity being used but the rinse and spin seems to have residual water in the drum. Even with minimal soap and fabric softener or using vinegar in the mid cycle the clothes still come out with a chemical smell to them. Yes I clean the machine regularly as it also has a problem with getting smelly quickly. Had to replace the sensor that creates the spin at year 6 but DIY as this is such a common problem and instructions found easily on the internet.

On August 25, 2019 my refrigerator started getting warmer and warmer. I called Sears repair but they only had an appointment two weeks out on September 10th so I took it. Thats a long time to go without a refrigerator. However, I read online that LG refrigerators have issues with their compressor so I decided to call LG direct to see if there was any warranty on my fridge I purchased in 2012. After the standard questions...the service agent provided me with a phone number of the local repair person for LG. I called Lilo and he was able to come out the very next day. He confirmed it was the compressor and then tested the motherboard to make sure the software would be compatible with the new compressor which it was, whew. I know there have been a lot of bad reviews here but I didnt have the same experience so I decided to take the time to post. Originally, I purchased the front load LG but realized that I couldnt soak clothes. I gave it to someone in need and purchased the LG WaveForce top loading. Wish I would have read reviews before buying. I cant get through one load without the machine being UE. Water will fill the machine as it tries to self-correct - what a waste of water! I cant leave the house and more specifically, I cant leave the laundry room (Im typing from the laundry room). It takes a couple of hours to wash one load of clothes. Water is never hot.The sink right next to the washer has hot water but I can barely get lukewarm for washing sheets and towels. Soaking clothes - well once I set it on soak and as soon as the machine filled, I turned it off, thinking it would soak until I restarted the washer. Wrong! The water slowly drains out. Next machine will be a top loading inexpensive washer like i use to have. GIVE ME BACK A SIMPLE MACHINE THAT ACTUALLY WASHES WITH MORE THAN A GALLON OF WATER!

We bought our refrigerator (MODEL LFX3194SST) March of 2013. From HH Gregg in Kennesaw Ga. Paid $3000 for it and bought an extended warranty simply because it was an expensive item and had a lot of computers in it. It quit working within the first year and LG sent someone out to repair it. It was the compartment in the freezer that contains the fan that blows cold air into the upper refrigerator section. The same thing happened again in March of 2015. It was under the extended warranty then. In the Atlanta area it is Tanstel who handles warranty for HH Gregg. I would rate Tanstel a minus 3 out of a scale of 1-10. That bad and that unprofessional. I expressed this to HH Gregg retail store and also to corporate office. The store seemed concerned even though they could do nothing to help. Corporate office was a joke and we ended up insulting each other, so I think Im finished buying from HH Gregg. Anyway here it is July of 2015 and my refrigerator is broke again. Same thing for 3rd time. Fan in freezer is frozen that blows air into the refrigerator. So no refrigerator and Tanstel doesnt seem to care if it gets fixed in a timely manner. So Im begging you, please dont buy anything with LG name on it. Read all the other reviews on the internet. They look good, but rust, dont work and you will be sorry. Youve been warned. And ask who made the appliance if you buy it from Sears. It might have a Kenmore name on it but ask who made it.

I had an LG French Door refrigerator that would not keep a cool enough temperature without lowering the freezer to the point of over freezing food. After 3 repair visits it came under the Lemon clause and I was refunded my money. I then bought another LG per its Consumer Reports rating. This time I bought just a bottom freezer as the French doors were a joke as you had to open both to take anything out. This 2nd one was now doing the opposite and freezing everything at the top and would be too high a temperature on the bottom if lowered the temperature to compensate for the top. I moved all my contents around and seem to have balanced out an agreeable temperature top and bottom. The only other complaint I have is the shelve adjustment which I find very limited. I would love to be able to have more options in configuring my shelves to suit my needs.

LG WM3670HWA - Bought a new washer ($650) and installed in May 2017. Recently experienced squeaking noises during the spin cycle. Called LG. They sent out a technician to look at the machine. LG charged me $125 for the service call. The tech said that the rear bearing was defective. The cost to fix was estimated to be $500. However, the technician told me that LG discontinued the parts needed to fix the washer, so he couldnt fix it even if he wanted to. So I spent $650 on a washer and another $125 on a service call, to find out that a 14 month old washer is junk and cannot be repaired.I called LG to try and resolve the issue. They refused to do anything AT ALL. I wasnt asking for a new washer or anything like that. I requested that they at least waive the $125 service call, since the washer couldnt be fixed. They refused to waive the service fee and gave me no concession on anything. It was really great at the end of the call to hear, Have a wonderful day! Seriously!!?? I never write reviews, but had to vent on this one. My bad for not buying an extended warranty, but theyre bad for not even stocking parts to fix their lousy products. Worst and Cheating Service from LG. Issue Started from Deepavali. I had complained regarding TV service before 40 to 50 days but still, the status is the same.My TV Model No. LG-LED/42LA6620 got a problem as the TV was not turning ON, regarding this I had complained and an executive told that they will come and diagnose the issue. After couple of days, he came and saw that there is a problem in it and told he will return in a couple of days and went. But later he did not return at all. He did not even receive our calls and we were in search of help, but nothing happened. Later I called to customer care and you people told that it will be done on chargeable basis. Even visiting charges should be beared by the customer. I agreed for that and requested for the executive at my place. And you people struggled a lot to arrange a person to my place but you people failed to do that. But we are the person who is suffering and ultimately our situation is like Wait or Go and as we got an expensive TV from you and fortunately or unfortunately I have got all LG brands in my house (TV, FRIDGE, WASHING MACHINE etc.,) and I am a promoter for LG product. But now am just afraid that how about future of the products I got. How the support and services for these products, am panicked. And after struggling a lot we didnt get any help from LG but we at the receiver end have to get our TV repaired and took that TV personally and went to the other city that is Hospet from Gangavathi for getting it serviced. After submitting that TV they told that it has to be diagnose and it will take a couple of days and we left our TV there and returned. After couple of days, they told that there is a motherboard issue and it will charge you around 7k to 9k.I told them to go ahead and service it. I want the TV to be Fixed. But trust me I have doubt on those technicians over there, I am having an impression that I am in safe hands or someone trying to loot us. But still, I told them to go ahead and service it. Later after a couple of days, I get a call saying that it will take a month to replace it. I told, Okay. Fix it as soon as possible. And later I get one more story that, We need bill sir as this motherboard is not available as of now, if you provide bill then we will look for depreciation and you can go for another model. Now am really frustrated and just cant control myself for simple issue, I am okay with taking TV personally to the service center, I am okay with replacing a motherboard, I am okay with money, I am okay with time. Now its a new phase. They are asking me to go for depreciation. But I managed my self to get the bill and submitted to them but until today am in the same situation and TV is in the same condition. Today 23/12/2017 morning when I called to the customer care, I get these type of responses ie., Sir you need to visit the dealer where you have submitted your TV, and, We cant help you in this, what the hell is this response from LG customer care, I made him realise that he is working for LG then he told that he will arrange call back. Later I called once again and narrated all the story to that lady, she told she will arrange a call back. Thank God that I got a call from LG but now they started with new story which clearly shows that they are cheating openly to the people. When I called in the morning and asked regarding the status of my TV, LG customer care people they told part is not available so it will take some more time. But after an hour I get a call saying that sir your LCD has problem as we are testing on your TV but there is problem in display. Now here we can see clearly, that from main office they are saying part is pending, and from Hospet dealer they are telling that, Sir motherboard we received and testing on it but there is a problem in LCD and it will be fixed with a charge of Rs: 24,000/- extra. If they tell us that its going to cost you more in which we can go for other options by dropping the idea of getting this tv repaired. This is so cheap activity done by you people to grab money or to drop the issue. If you people really need money/dont want to support then try to get it by earning with trust but not by cheating the innocent people, its our hard-earned money we spend on buy expensive gadgets by trusting giant companies. Now I am requesting you again to the experienced/some qualified engineer to look into the issue and solve it. Really LG is stepping back from giving services. Its really gonna affect the brand. I was promoter for the company but you people are making me to go for worst condition... If this is condition for few more customers then soon it is gonna be in helpless situation. I dont know what kind of engineers LG is hiring not capable to repair a simple issue then what for they hire a so-called qualified developers.

My top load washer blew up inside after using the machine for 5 years without an issue. I had registered the product and never received notice that the company had recalled the model I purchased. When I filed my recall claim LG had all my customer information, including my purchase price and old maiden name, but refused to process my recall until I could provide my own receipt. I went through days of searching and calling Home Depot and complained three times to call representatives that its unfair I have to jump through all these hoops when they already know the selling price to reimburse me for. They stated You have to reconfirm the price and prove thats what we owe you.Ive been without a washer for three weeks now and am out a hundred dollars in laundry costs. As well as $300 in lost clothes when the washing machine blew up and caught on fire inside. LG refuses to acknowledge these costs and the time Ive spent toting laundry all over. The nearest laundromat is 20 miles from my house. Simply refunding me my purchase price is a slap in the face after all Ive been through because of this machine literally blowing up and catching fire inside. My house smelled like electrical fire for almost a full two weeks.

It started when I called a washing machine professional to repair the washing machine as it has stopped mid cycle. It will not drain or spin. It will fill up and then that is it. The tradesman came to the home and pulled a hair band from the filter and that was it. The washing machine is began to work fine. Now 7 months later, the problem is happening again. Filling, then sitting in a load of water. My husband has drained the washing machine manually and checked for any further blockages and this all appears to be clear. It will not drain so that I can take the load of washing out? I am so frustrated.

My refrigerator stopped working on July 5th. I contacted LG the next day and the soonest they could have one of their certified repair vendors out was July 8th. At that time they determined it was the compressor which was still covered by warranty. They ordered the part and we were given the runaround. One day the part is being shipped, the next days its on back-order. After 2 weeks and too many phone calls to count we are told that that part is discontinued and they would have to research to see what to do. WHY DO YOU DISCONTINUE A PART ON A REFRIGERATOR THAT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY???2 weeks ago they said the part was being shipped and should be in on July 30th. Today is August 8th and we are told today the part should be in by the end of the week - August 12th. As of now I have been without a refrigerator for 5 WEEKS!!! We looked into the part ourselves and found out that we could order the part online and get it installed tomorrow but LG refuses to reimburse us for the part which is the warranty item. We asked them why they couldnt order from this company and they said they dont do that. They offered no pro-rated refund on my fridge as they initially discussed so Im stuck with either sitting another week without a refrigerator in the middle of the summer or I have to buy the part myself and pay for the WHOLE THING or go out and buy an entirely new refrigerator. How would they feel if their family didnt have a refrigerator for over 5 weeks. Thank God I have a wonderful neighbor who is letting me use her garage refrigerator. I am also out several hundred $$ in food that I have had to throw out because there was nowhere for me to store it and keep it cold for this extended period of time. NEVER EVER BUY AN LG APPLIANCE!!!

We purchased our LG machine from Home Depot online, September 2013. Although I do not like how the machine operates (cannot fill) (never enough water) (takes forever to wash a load), it stopped emptying April 26, 2015. We called for service which was to take place on April 29. It was determined the machine needed a new pump. It was ordered that day and was to be in in 3-5 business days. After waiting 10 days, we called Diamond Warranty service. We were told the part was ordered and there was nothing else they could do about it. We then called Home Depot and when they checked, they found the part had been backordered and then reordered and again should be in in 3-5 business days. It finally came in May 15. We set up the repair for May 19. I took off work because my husband was in court all day. At 7:30 on the 19th, they called and said the repairman was ill and rescheduled to Thursday, May 21. On May 21, they called and said the person would be out the rest of the week and could reschedule next week after Monday. I have now been without a washer for 25 days. Home Depot said they can do nothing but file a report against Diamond warranty and it will take one to two business days for a supervisor to respond. When I called LG they said they were very sorry and could only do the same. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, they asked me to stay on the line. I held for 13 minutes and then hung up. Obviously neither LG nor Home Depot care. I want out of the extended warranty and they can take the washer and shove it because neither are any good. I have been to the laundromat 4-5 times and spent 11 to 15 dollars each time and still have no washer. I will never buy anything from LG or Home Depot again. Even if they do come out next Wednesday, it will have been 31 days without a washing machine. This is ridiculous!

Purchased a new $2K+ LG refrigerator 4 years ago as part of an entire kitchen suite. The compressor (sealed system) failed, and while the labor wasnt covered under warranty, the parts to repair the refrigerator was covered. I had a LG certified technician make 5 separate visits trying to repair my refrigerator and it was never fixed. It simply will not cool anything in both the refrigerator and freezer. Thus, Ive had to go out and purchase a new refrigerator at my expense. Ive tried to go through the LG process whereby they would consider replacing or reimbursing my refrigerator. They have continued to deny my request, thus the reason Ive been forced to purchase a new refrigerator to replace my LG unit that was barely 4 years old. I will never purchase another LG appliance as they do not stand by their products.

I will try to get to the point. 5 yr old French door fridge stopped cooling. Called customer service to diagnose problem. Used Bluetooth feature to diagnose over the phone. They told us the bottom door was not closing properly and to have repairman come out. Repairman said it was the compressor. Took a week for the new part to arrive and repair to be done. When I asked why LG didnt diagnose the compressor as the problem over the phone...he told us they dont like to tell people bad news. Wow!!! Really LG? We are using our warranty through Home Depot to be reimbursed for the loss of food and repairs. I would not recommend LG to anyone. The heart of the fridge shouldnt go out after 5 years. And paying extra for cool features like self diagnosis...was a waste!!!

Well, Ive finally had it with this machine. We bought it & the matching electric dryer from former homeowners when we bought their house. Guess we should have done more research into the plethora of problems these sorry excuse for an appliance really have. These junkers wouldve been out on the road the second we moved in. First, within a month the dryer died. One morning I turned it on & it started smoking, so that was that. Out to the curb! Next, we had been using the LG steam washer for about 4 months & continually noticed water on the floor around it. Never really found where it was coming from other than a drip streak down the side around the detergent drawer where you add the soap/bleach. Another issue was the door lock kept malfunctioning & wouldnt let the load run unless you either slammed the door shut or put pressure on it with your knee when it was trying to lock. Then the thing would sound like a 747 taking off when it was in spin mode. It would shake violently & eventually wake up the baby with its deafening whir. Finally, it showed an error message saying the pump wasnt able to drain the tub because of a clog or something. So I got on my hands & knees to screw open the drain trap & 5 gallons of water came gushing out all over the floor. There is a small rubber hose down there also, but when I took out the plug on the end of it no water drained out. What gives LG? Do you need a wet/dry vac at the ready to do this procedure or a stack of towels so you dont trash the floor? Very poor design! And doing this did absolutely nothing. Same error code came up & the pump just sickly rumbled. So it is now out on the curb also awaiting a trip to the dump where it belongs. Please, everyone, do not buy these piece of refuse appliances from LG. You will only bring upon yourself great pain & grief. Time to break out the old GE top loader that I know works fine. Glad I held onto it for back up. DONT BUY LG!!!

My husband and I bought this dishwasher last May 2015 NEW with the fridge and stove. This dishwasher is probably the worst dishwasher ever!! Its the model with the 3rd rack, sounds convenient right? Wrong!!! It sucks, yes I can put knives and silverware on the top row but it leaves very little space for your glasses. So any glass taller than 6 inches does not fit!! Which means they have to take up space on the bottom rack or Im forced to hand wash! Now the bottom row... The lines that are suppose to hold the dishes do not stay standing up. The silverware basket is in three sections that is suppose to lock to together, it falls apart if you just put a fork in it. The large bottom rolling basket is constantly coming off the tracks! It takes 2 1/2 hours to run a normal load and an hour to run a quick load. The quick load does do a good job and usually have to rewash items. I hate this dishwasher and the only place it belongs is in the trash dump! WARNING DO NOT BUY IT!!!

After telling LG phone tech that we have lots of food which will spoil if not cooled/frozen, they arranged to have a service tech call on us in 6 DAYS. What a joke! We have had our LG refrigerator for only about six years. In the first 3 months, the refrigerator stopped cooling due to severe ice buildup on all the cooling vents. After several calls (and hours of being on hold) to their customer service department, they finally agreed to give us a replacement. The replacement only lasted another 4-5 months and the refrigerator stopped cooling with exactly the same issue (ice buildup). Again after several calls and hold, the customer service department arranged for a third party service guy to attempt a repair. The service guy could not fix the problem and also cracked a hole at the bottom when trying to scrub ice off the inside surface. He then stated that the fridge will need to be replaced. Nobody called us back for the next 3 weeks and then I had to call the customer service again and this time their rep was extremely rude. She actually hung-up the phone on me. I then wrote a review upon which the manager in Canadian operations contacted us and stepped-in to support. He then found out that the main electronic controller was a faulty design and that he would send an LG service personnel to replace the board. The icing problem was then resolved only to find out two and half years later that the compressor failed. I had to go over the same exercise to get a service personnel to come and replace the compressor. The part was free (10 years warranty on compressor) but I had to pay labour charges. Yesterday my refrigerator broke again and it is the same issue - compressor failure. I am debating with myself, to even attempt to get this fixed again (4 complete failures in 6 years). LG Refrigerator has been my worst investment ever. It was among the most expensive in its category, when I purchased it. I also heard that there is a class action law-suit against them in USA.

On July 10, 2016 we purchased an LG refrigerator model # LFX25973D and serial # 602TRRC1Q486. I am disappointed because the product does not work properly. I have contacted LG multiple times and cannot get a satisfactory resolution to our problems. My first contact with LG was to fix an ice maker issue. LG dispatched a repairman on September 27, 2016. They adjusted the temperature and checked the ice chute, but this did not solve the issue so I called them and they came back out on 10/5/16. We had to call LG back to reschedule another repair order and the repairman was dispatched again on 10/18/16. They ordered 2 parts for the refrigerator, a dispenser ice door and a dispenser motor. The motor was shipped, but the ice door was not available at the time. We waited a couple of weeks and had not heard back from LG so we called them again and told them the work had not been completed due to not having the parts requested. They told us they would reissue another work order. We were expecting the same company to come back out but several days later a different company called to schedule an appointment and they came out on 11/25/16 and determined that they needed to replace the left door. The door was ordered and they came back out on 12/7/16 to do the warranty work.Around the end of December during the Christmas holiday the ice maker started acting up again and due to the holiday activities we held off calling LG until after the first of the year. During the 1st week of January we noticed that ice was starting to form on food in the refrigerator so we called LG again and told them that the ice maker was still not working properly and that there was another issue with food freezing in the refrigerator. We were told to adjust the temperature up in the refrigerator a little to avoid freezing and that someone would be dispatched for the ice maker again. We were getting frustrated at this point and requested that we get a replacement, however we were told that was not an option and that they needed to try to repair not replace the appliance. Each time we had to call there was a 3-5 day period of time to schedule the appointment and then another 3-5 days if parts were ordered, but this particular time we had not heard from a repairman for almost 2 weeks so we called the repair company to see if a work order had been scheduled and they told me that it had not. We called LG again to find out what the holdup was and we were informed that no work order had been scheduled and they would issue one, but it would take another 3-5 days to get it scheduled. I let them know that the refrigerator was not working at all and we lost all the food in our refrigerator due to freezing, including the new water filter that we just installed. LG did send me 2 new water filters to replace the cracked one. On February 3, 2017 we received a call from the 3rd different appliance repair company to come out and look at the refrigerator. When he arrived I told him all the issues we had been having and he determined that it needed a new main board to fix the issue of the temperature in the refrigerator and noted that the sensor was not replaceable. He did not look at the ice maker and said all ice makers have issues with ice freezing together and that I should just periodically open the ice door and shake the tray. He came back out on February 8, 2017 and installed the main board and informed me that if this didnt fix the problem not to call him again because he would not know what else to do. We set a bowl of water in the refrigerator just to check it out and it was frozen in the morning so I called LG again and was told they would schedule another repair order. Once again I asked if they could just give us a replacement instead of trying to fix this appliance as I had no confidence that this appliance would ever be fixed and that I had no intentions of paying for service calls after my warranty expired in about 5 months. Once again I was informed that this was not an option and that they needed to get the repairman on the phone with their field technicians to solve the problem. On February 14, 2017 the 4th different repairman was sent to look at our refrigerator. This time they took the refrigerator apart and at first told me that he felt like it could not be fixed. He said that the damper was staying open allowing the freezer air to reach the refrigerator, but he called LGs Field Support and they supposedly walked him through it and thought that it had fixed the problem. At this point he could not check the ice maker issue since we could not get any water to the door because of the frozen water lines. When he left I put another bowl of water in the refrigerator and several hours later noticed that ice was starting to form in the bowl and that now the refrigerator was showing an error message of F5 on the door. I went online to chat with LG about what the error message was and I was informed that it meant that the freezer sensor was bad and would need repair service. I immediately called LG again and told them that I wanted a refund or a replacement and was put off again. The supervisor told me that if I would hold on she would contact the repairman. When she came back online with me she told me that the repairman couldnt find anything wrong with my unit, we called her out on this and said, One of you is lying to us, because he was here for about 3 hours and thoroughly discussed all the issues he saw. Then she said that he didnt find anything that needed parts replaced and that she had dispatched him to come back out first thing in the morning of the 15th to address the error message. I was expecting a call the next day, but never received one so I called the repairman myself and he told me that he had not been dispatched yet. He asked me if I wanted him to come by to look at it and I told him with all the issues that weve had with LG that without a work order not to come.I called LG back and told them once again that a work order that was supposed to have been issued was not and that I was not interested in any more service calls and that I wanted a replacement. I was once again told that it wasnt an option so I informed the supervisor that their warranty said repair or replace and that after 8 service calls and fooling around with this issue since September that I felt like we had given LG ample opportunity to repair our refrigerator. I closed our conversation by letting her know that if they were not going to replace the refrigerator that I would seek resolution through the court system. On 2/15/17 I spoke with an executive supervisor at LG to let them know that I had filed the suit because I had not received any satisfaction from LGs Customer Service Department. She sent me a link so I could send her a copy of my receipt which I did thinking that maybe she would take care of replacing the appliance and I would drop the lawsuit, however we have had no further communications to this point.

I waited another week then called back only to get a voice message telling me to contact the manufacturer. I contacted LG customer service and was told that their notes stated that the issue was resolved!!! I told them that the issue was never resolved and they told me that there was nothing they could do until the local tech updated his notes. I placed another request for an update on the LG customer service site and received a return email stating that they would contact the local repair rep and get back to me. The large LG refrigerator is simply terrific! It has 2 freezer drawers on the bottom and a really large refrigerator section with a giant pizza-width meat drawer. We chose the stainless steel finish and, admittedly, it is hard to clean but looks so nice when you polish it. The top double doors have just the right storage on the inside. The 3 fruit/veg. containers are nice and big. In the freezer I have unplugged the ice maker, because it took up too much room and simply leave an ice tray across one side of the top section divider. It allows for sections of food to be stored without being in a jumble. It is a very large and tall fridge and I didnt mind doing without the cupboard section that usually is hung above. I found 3 woven baskets that simply sit on top and look very nice there.

The buttons on the machine are malfunctioning. It is real pretty. The tub is large and holds a lot of clothes but uses low water. I probably will have to get American Home Shield to have someone come fix the buttons that are not working though.

We purchased the LG Bottom Freezer Refrigerator Model #LFX25960ST in May of 2007. 1st issue was the Product Consumer Energy Rating. The Energy Rating LG gave was less than the average energy the fridge used. I receive a check from LG (I think) every quarter to make up the difference in energy used (around $4.00). Next came the ice maker. The ice maker would freeze up and overflow with water or just stopped working all together. The ice dispenser in the door has never crushed Ice the way it should. We had 3 service calls on ice maker issues, 2 of which the ice maker had to be replaced. Still does not crust ice the way it should. I just gave up trying to get it fixed. Then I noticed that the hard wood floors in front of the fridge were starting to warp. Ceiling tiles in basement showed where water had leaked from kitchen above. We pulled down the tiles but were unable to find a leak. We pulled out the fridge and saw where water had wet the sheetrock and floor behind the fridge. Thinking there was a leak in the plumbing behind the fridge we ripped out the sheetrock, finding nothing. We then decided to leave the fridge pulled out to try and determine where the water was coming from. About 30 minutes later, I returned to the kitchen and noticed that water was spewed to the right side of the fridge and all across the dining area, approx. 15. We turned off the water going to the fridge and contacted LG. 2 days later a repairman came in an immediately noticed the warped flooring. He the checked the ice maker and the fridge and found nothing. He turned the water back on and asked me to dispense water from the water/ice dispenser. When I pushed the water dispenser, water, again, shot out all across the kitchen and dining room. The repairman was then able to show us where the line coming from the valve on the fridge to the filter had split. He stated the line was faulty and would have to be replaced. 2 weeks later the repairman returned and replaced the faulty line. LG did pay for fridge repairs and repairs to my floor but nothing for the downtime or aggravation we endured. Then we had issues with the interior light in the fridge. It would stay on even when the fridge was closed. Again we contacted LG for repair. Now after having this fridge for only 7 years, the entire cooling system, fridge and freezer, has gone out, resulting in ruined and sour food. We contacted LG again. My husband spoke with the lady from LG. At one point in the conversation, he told the lady, Im sorry, I know this isnt your fault, but Im very aggravated right now dealing again with this Lemon of a refrigerator. The LG Supervisor then told him I understand your aggravation, but you are just going to get even more aggravated when you hear what I have to say. I cannot help you because the refrigerator is out of warranty. WHAT??? Who says that??? Where is the customer service??? So now Im stuck paying an $85.00 service call plus replacement parts and labor to fix ANOTHER issue with this LG Refrigerator. I am so done with anything LG.

The refrigerator (LFX25976ST) isnt working. It has been two weeks without a refrigerator. LG and Best Buy wont honor warranty, which states if not repairable, LG would replace the unit. To receive the replacement, I would need to pay about $1000 due to the fact that the unit I purchased from Best Buy was on sale and an opened box item. Best Buy did not mention that due to it being an opened box item, if the unit failed, I would have to pay the difference between the cost of my unit and the cost of the replacement model.

Bought my LG REFRIGERATOR on November 18th, 2015. Right away it had a noise coming from it. The first of December 2018, woke up to a puddle of water in front of the refrigerator. Opened the door and the freezer was warm. Called LG, they sent a technician out, he had to replace the compressor and the circuit board, waited 1 week for parts to come in. Technician came and replace the parts. 2 days later, something happened AGAIN, waiting for another week for him to come out (because he was busy doing other repairs), he added Freon, that lasted for 2 days, then the day before Christmas eve 2018, he came out and put more Freon in it. The Technician CANT FIND THE PROBLEM. Now, its December 29th 2018, still not fixed. We been on the phone with LG for the last 4 weeks. All they keep saying is that they will send the repair guy out. Now mind you, I had to throw out over 500.00 worth of food in the beginning. They are going to refund us a check for 150.00 and the Technician already got paid for the job, 250.00. Hes been out 3 times so far, each time for at least 4-5 each time. All LG WANTS TO IS KEEP TRYING TO FIX IT. It seems to me with all of these problems that all of us consumers are having, that they would just replace them... Im still without a refrigerator and have 2 little kids. THEY DONT CARE. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG REFRIGERATOR. FROM NORTHEAST OHIO.

Have had an LG French Door refrigerator for close to 5 years and it is already breaking down. Have taken great care of it, replacing all filters when needed, keeping it cleaned, just went in back of it and cleaned out any particles or dog hair and yet it just wont stay cold. In addition, it mysteriously stops making ice many times. Despite everything seemingly working. All of these issues have started 1 month after a maintenance guy from LG came by to service it. Making it seem all the more of a bad buy. Look at a different brand!

I bought a LG refrigerator. After 2 years the display window started to go black. I call LG and the store I bought it from (Pacific Sales). The LG representative was no help. She gave 2 numbers to call for repairs. One said he was not accepting new business and the other said I was out of his service area. Pacific Sale said I did not buy the extended warranty, they could not help me. This is obviously a manufacture defect. I have never used any kind of cleaner of liquid on this refrigerator. I would recommend not buy LG Refrigerator.

Clothes get twisted and tangled up with each other (sleeves and pant legs - anything with length). Design is terrible - curved top not a good surface. You cant set anything on top because it slides off! The wash drum is too deep and you have to reach way down to get clothes! How do short people get their clothes out?Overall, this set w/ dryer is very poor design - too many buttons & choices to chose from! Hope this machine breaks soon so I can get rid of it on Craigslist for cheap!

This dryer is the biggest piece of crap. Anytime you put clothes in there it balls them up into a tight knot and continues to bounce them around without drawing them. The water collection happens all the time. Nothing ever dries. You have to pull things out and shake it in order for anything to ever finish.

Spacious, lots of storage, keeps food very cold, french doors, working icemaker, alerts you when you leave the fridge door open. All in all it has definitely has the qualities I want I just dont want to replace it with so much money again. LG has definitely met my initial expectations. It is a very good fridge overall and has all the qualities you need in a fridge but it needs to be made more durable and easier to fix when things break. Cause my ice machine doesnt work. I would have made it easier to clean, more user friendly, make it less loud when it beeps when you leave the door open. Also, the handle to the freezer broke, so I would made that more durable.

I bought a LG front loader set from Sears when I moved into my new home in 2010 and Ive had nothing but problems with the washer from the beginning. Im thankful that the salesman suggested the extended warranty on the washer as I couldnt afford both. Ive had 7 calls on cups not emptying a new main board a new drawer and clothes needing extra spins because they are still too wet for the dryer (the repair man said I needed to do full loads in order for the machine to spin out right? Yesterday it completely stopped during a wash so now I have to haul a load of wet towels to the laundromat. I now have to wait a week for a part to come in. I was so excited to get this set but I hate it and will never buy any more LG products and I make sure everyone I know that is in the market hears about these machines.
