I love the configuration of this refrigerator, especially the middle drawer. Beyond that, this expensive refrigerator has been a major disappointment due to multiple and repeated problems, including a loud noise when the compressor is running, and ice build-up in both the refrigerator and the freezer sections, resulting in three service calls for each issue.

Few days after purchasing LMHM2017ST, we would hear a squeaky noise from the turntable when on. It seemed just slightly bothersome then and so live with it.A few months later, numbers on the touch keypad stopped working one by one. Now most of them dont work. Also many other buttons are not working. The fan and light buttons are also not working causing these features not be available anymore. Next, another issue cropped up - the microwave switches on, on its own, as soon as the door is opened. So there are now multiple problems in a short duration of gentle use. I called LG customer service but they offered to send someone to fix these issues for a charge of $185 + tax. They would give only 60 days warranty and only on the services performed. They will not guarantee on anything else. It seems they know that there can arise even more problems in future. I bought this microwave because it looked good but other than that it turned out to be a crappy and expensive unit (over $500). I will not buy anything LG in future.

Bought this brand and paired with washing machine. They have a very poor design that has own default sensor for drying. Dryer lint trap is annoying as the bottom part traps the lints and get stuck instead of going to the mesh. The bottom of the screen is a closed system that traps the lint into the opening. It needs a constant cleaning when noticed the dryer is not drying very well. Mainly this is the most annoying problem and the sensor of dryness of its own. I would not recommend this product. There are better ones out there that does the job properly that might be same amount of money or less.

I wish I could give LG a big fat ZERO because that’s what they deserve. I purchased a side by side LG refrigerator two years ago. Six months ago, the ice maker stopped working. Then it started working again four weeks ago, but only for a couple of days. Then the freezer stopped freezing. All my food thawed out and ended up in the trash. Then a few days later, the fridge itself stopped working with the exception of the water. Called LG customer service. They sent someone out five days later (after all the food in the unit ended up in the trash). The tech said he changed the compressor. The following day, the unit is still not working AND now the water isn’t working either. Tech came back out. Said the water line got tangled but now it’s fixed. Over the next five days, the unit worked for a few hours, then stopped. More food spoiled. LG sent the tech out a third time. This time he claims it was the Freon and possibly the motherboard. He left saying it should work now. It didn’t. Now it’s been another five days, more spoiled food. LG scheduled an appointment for yesterday. No one showed up. Called them. They apologized for the confusion and said someone would be here today. No one showed up again. Called them again. Now they said someone will be here tomorrow. Their products stink and so does their customer service. I will never buy another one of their products again!

I purchased my LG washer (WT5001C) at my local Home Depot on 7/2/2011. On 2/6/12, it wouldnt spin out the water. I called and they gave me the phone number of A & E Services. I spoke with them on 2/27/12 and they couldnt look at it until 3/8/12 when they told me the motor and the mainboard in the computer were gone. They said it would take another week and a half to get the parts (if they were in stock) because they were coming from Korea. I dont think I would ever buy another LG product!

I purchased a brand new LG refrigerator for $1,500. Refrigerator suddenly stopped working last week, spoiling hundreds of dollars of food! Called a repairman who made an in-house visit and LG customer support, both confirmed that I need a new compressor. LG confirmed that compressor is covered by 7 year warranty but labor charges are my responsibility. They provided me with a couple of authorized repair places to call. I received several quotes for labor ranging from $650-$850! The refrigerator isn’t even worth that! LG has refused to do anything to fix or compensate for this!!! What a scam, I demand a full refund and will be joining a class action suit against LG for this fraud and encourage all to the same immediately! If anyone has had the same issues you can reach me at: **.

I purchased an over the range LG microwave from Home Depot. It was a reduced price display model, which I guess should have told me that it was a waste of money. Within a year, it stopped working four times (two of these times were within two days of each other). Since it was covered by the one year warranty, it didnt cost me anything, but it was frustrating to be without a microwave while waiting for it to be serviced. THEN... after the warranty expired, it stopped heating on two more occasions. Now, LG state that it would be $160 to have a technician come out to diagnose the problem.I think a microwave that needs servicing six times in such a short period should have been replaced, but LG thinks I should just start paying the $160 per call out for the same, reoccurring problem. I spoke to a supervisor at headquarters who was very unhelpful and told me that the company should not have helped me as much as they did because it was a display model and its history was unknown. She was very combative and arrogant and probably doesnt even realize that she lacks even basic customer services skills and is in need of training. My only consolation is that she is a consumer too, and the same way she treated me, she will be treated at some point in her life. Further, I know now not to purchase another LG product. Hopefully I can save someone else from wasting their money on LG products like I did.

Bought the washer and dryer in August 2011 (washer is WaveForce top loader)
Bought the washer and dryer in August 2011 (washer is WaveForce top loader). At first I loved it! I have 2 small kids and a dog so I wash a load daily at least. Got the software update notice so had that done. Noticed I would get the uE or UE code fairly often after that. Then one day no matter what setting I used it would get to the rinse cycle and never put water in it, wouldnt dispense my fabric softener, and just flash 22 min and then after a while stop and give me the UE code. So then I have to stop the unit, choose rinse/spin and then the fabric softener will be dispensed. Then when that is done, my clothes are still way too wet, so I have to choose spin only to try to get more water out. Sometimes I run it a few times and its still too wet. Called LG several times, downloaded the app to figure out what was wrong. Couldnt figure it out. Finally had LG repair place come to figure out whats wrong. $50 later I was told I need a new main board. So today 12-12-14 I had the repair guy out and he replaced the board. He ran his test washes (with an empty washer mind you) and it seemed fine. He left and I needed to wash what I had let pile up some because I knew it would be fixed...first load a light blanket. Washed it a hundred times before. Washer gave me same error codes at the same time. I called the company and was told service guy is out still. I called the cell phone of the service guy because he called when he arrived and left 2 vms and no reply back. Called LG to complain and am so tired of some idiot overseas talking in circles from a manual!!! So it was $190 today and its been almost 5 hours since they left and I just started a smaller load #3. I have 10 people that will be here over holiday and this is what I have to worry about! Towels and clothes starting to have a weird smell. They arent getting clean or spun out enough. And when I cant spin enough water it makes my dryer work harder. Thats next I bet. Worst experience with LG. Wish I wouldve seen this before. I always assumed LG was good. Never, ever, ever again!! Buyer beware!

I have an LG refrigerator that has the known compressor issue. It failed within 3 years. Customer service was difficult to deal with. They eventually shipped part & agreed partial payment for repairs. From The LG authorized repair list given nobody would come & repair it for months ahead. I finally found a repair service available. With the consent of LG customer services I did the repair for $650. Submitted a receipt & was only reimbursed $200. Yet LG in court said “labor covered for 5 years”. Now at 5.5 years the product failed again. I spoke with customer service. They stated as an “unauthorized repair service was used all warranty is void”. Yet they knew who I was going with for the repair, have a copy of the receipt on file & previously authorized a partial labor payment. What a slippery way to get out of liability for a known product design defect. Customer services then terminated the call. If this is the treatment you want if/when your product fails, which it most likely will if it has a Linear motor, you have been warned.

We purchased the LG TOMM Washer & Dryer, and the Washer Seal around the door has always smelled moldy and puttered. After numerous complaints we were asked if we ran an empty cycle with Fresh Product or bleach to alleviate the problem. My comment was and is twofold, first why would anyone purchase a energy saving product and need to run an extra load every third or fourth load to clean the machine which is suppose to clean our cloths? Where is the savings with that? Secondly why is everyone having this problem and the Foreign Manufacturer doing nothing? Besides maybe someone in this country still builds a quality product domestically! We are willing to pay the price to support good design engineering and American Built Products. No stars due this product.

LRG 3081ST gas stove - My first problem was that Best Buy never warned me that to convert this stove to propane was going to cost close to $300.00. The next problem was as soon as I started to use the product, the fan in the convection oven does not work most of the time, the controls are very difficult to use and very confusing, one of the burners does not work! After contacting Best Buy they told me I had to call LG, which I did. After many tries and disconnected calls I finally reached a person and he reluctantly set up an appointment with a local repair shop, and although she agreed the fan should work better but after calling LG they said it was normal and there was nothing she could do. But they did agree it probably should have a new burner but that is still on order. The stove is basically a cheap POS. I would not recommend anyone to buy this model.

I bought a new LG washer and dryer to replace a 15 year old washer and dryer that ironically still worked fine. The new LG washer and dryer have paint jobs like a Ferrari but they are more like a Yugo in quality. The dryer had a complete computer board failure ($200 repair) and now the washer has a transmission issue that not surprisingly is not covered by the 10 year transmission warranty. Now, I sign on this website and find out why all my clothes smell like mildew too! I would strongly recommend against an LG product.

We purchased a brand new LG french door refrigerator (bottom drawer freezer and 2 door refrigerator with ice and water in the door). We purchased it through Home Depot for $2200 in April 2016. We researched and shopped around and felt good about the purchase. Didnt buy extended warranty - why would we... its a brand new fridge with manufacturers warranty and solid company right?? WRONG!!!I NEVER write online reviews. This experience is so shockingly horrible I had to submit a review. The ice in the door constantly melts and refreezes. When it refreezes it bonds the giant chunk of ice from the ice maker to the door. You need an icepick or a crowbar to then remove the ice maker from the door. Of course, as soon as you pry it apart, the entire bin of ice and melted water drops onto the floor and all around your feet. The melted ice block fills every nook 6 inches deep into the ice maker. Again, using an icepick you can chop up the ice and use your vacuum or spoons to extract all the ice.Home Depot wont touch this. Refer you to LG Customer Service. Took multiple calls and LG over the phone told us it was our fault and we must be leaving refrigerator door open too long and were melting the ice. They told us to open the refrigerator door NO MORE THAN 1-2 TIMES PER DAY??? Finally, they sent a technician. The technician reviewed the fridge and told me LG is terrible and he sees this all the time. However, his report back to LG indicated he found no issues. LG issued report to us that we need to TURN OFF THE ICEMAKER every night before bed and empty the bin. In the morning we can turn the ice maker back on but that we MUST USE ALL THE ICE EACH DAY OR TURN IT OFF. They claim the ice maker is so efficient and meant to make more ice than we can use because they were getting complaints it wouldnt make enough ice. So weve been turning the ice maker on and off each day - which makes us open the refrigerator doors twice a day by the way. And the problem is still there. Thanks LG!! What a waste of $2200. A waste of many peoples time in your games and a ridiculous strategy. Buyers are savvy and expect more than stupid answers. A very unsatisfied customer who is also a realtor and refers people to buy new appliances all the time! Will make sure people dont buy LG for sure!

I own an LG Clothes Washer, model WM0624HW/01. The direct drive motor supposedly had a 7-year warranty on it. The rotor has plastic (!) splines in it that attach to the drum shaft to wash and spin the clothes. It (of course, its plastic!) stripped out after three years of normal household use. I contacted LG to get a replacement (I have been repairing appliances for 20+ years professionally, I know what I am doing); they absolutely refused. They said, Thank you for contacting LG Electronics. I am delighted to hear from you as our valued customer and I will be glad to answer your concern. I apologize for the inconvenience youre having. Drum motor such as stator, rotor and hall sensor have a seven year warranty from the date of purchase. Yes, the motor is still in warranty as I checked based on the serial number you provided. The washer has a one year warranty for parts and labor from the date of purchase but has exclusion for warranty of other parts as stated in the warranty page in the owners manual. For the replacement of the said part, it should be done by one of our LG technicians or authorized service technicians. The technician will order the part for you as soon as the unit is checked upon technicians visit, or will install it for you if the part is available upon service visit. Let me provide our rates for the labor. For LG technicians: diagnosis - $89, minor repair - $150 + tax & parts, major repair - $225 + tax and parts. I apologize I dont have the information for the rate fee for our authorized service technician. They have different rate scheme than our own LG technicians. I hope I was able to help you with your concern. If you have other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us again either via email or by calling our customer service division at 800-243-0000 at your convenience. Thank you for choosing LG!I called Albert and told him I was a qualified appliance repair person, and it only took me 10 minutes to diagnose and remove the offending part and to please just send me the part. He absolutely refused. In order to get it replaced under warranty, I would have to spend $239 in labor. The part is available to me wholesale for $73.11 and it will take me 5 minutes to replace it. Of course, I will bite the bullet and buy the part myself. What gripes me is that the part is under warranty but I cannot get the part. LG has figured out a way to screw me out of the warranty they supposedly provide. Even worse, the replacement part is new and improved with metal splines in it, proving LG knew there was a problem and are refusing to do anything about it. Bottom line is I will never, ever buy anything from LG ever again. LG = Latest Garbage. This is not the first LG appliance I have had problems with, but it will be the last.

Well this is the third time a service person has been out. When I called about the UE the first time I was told it was out of balance. I assured the person that it was doing this even with only 3 pieces of clothing in the machine and that the machine was balanced and checked with a level. So they send someone out to look at it and say it needs a computer part. Great parts ordered and problem solved. Wrong!!! Needless to say not very long after we end up having an issue that the UE goes on then the machine starts to go back to 20 minutes when there was only 5 minutes left. It does this 6 times and 2 hours later still messing with it, I call for service again. Well, again we need another part. Now a few months later, which brings us to this month July 2016 we have UE and the washer is now turning its lights on like it is going to start up without having any laundry in it and nobody being in the room. If it does successfully get a load done it will not turn the lights off. Service out again and another order for more parts. Gee, you would think LG would want to keep up good business practices and recall the washers. If a business backs its mistakes, it makes you want to purchase their brand again but if they dont then you run far away and tell anyone that will listen. My electric is sky high to begin with because it is Toledo Edison and now with the washer issues it is even worse. Nobody should have to wait 2 hours on a quick wash. I personally will not buy LG anymore and will make sure to tell people when I see them in stores shopping for washers to find another brand.

I contacted LG customer care at 1800 243 000. I explained what happened. I asked to have it fixed or changed for a new one. To my surprise, they claimed they couldn’t do anything. I explained that I had purchased insurance and extended warranty. At the time of purchase, LG claimed it is not theirs and they couldn’t do anything to go back to Home Depot. I called Home Depot. They claimed they couldn’t service it yet. I have to wait almost a week before they send a technician, and they don’t replace any parts. With the game they have between Home Depot and LG, I am with no refrigerator and out of $2000.00 and $300.00 worth of market. My question as a consumer is: who is responsible for these damages? I paid almost $2000.00 for the ** refrigerator and it worked fine until their so called warranty expired. And now they don’t want to be responsible for their bad equipment. I am upset at the fact that the consumers affairs and the better business bureau would allow these companies to sell such expensive appliances which are good only until their warranty expires. I hate the way LG just bluntly told me it is not their problem and there is nothing they can do. How dare they rip off the public like that! A good refrigerator should last at least a good 10 years especially for the prices they are being sold to the public. I paid the price they ask for. How dare they rip off the consumer in such way! And there is the game they play. LG tells me to call Home Depot and Home Depot tells me to call LG. Neither one wants to be responsible for the defected refrigerator they sold me. What am I supposed to do? Get another refrigerator because these two irresponsible companies would not take responsibility and stand behind their damaged goods? I am waiting for your response. Thank you.

I bought a front load LG washer about 4 years ago to replace my 15 year old Whirlpool washer which was still working. Now in the past month the washer started making a loud noise during all cycles of the spin including slow and fast spin. Contacted LG who sent a tech and they said it is the outside drum and bearing which will be over a 400 dollar repair. Now a new LG can be bought for 645 so I went to HD and ordered a new Washer, same LG brand because the salesman said I could still use the 249 dollar pedestal if I went with the LG brand. Today LG deliveries came with the washer and said they will not install the new washer on the Old pedestal since it was not bought from them now and they will install only if I ordered another 249 dollar new pedestal from them again. The delivery guys were rude so I told them to take the washer back so I can buy an alternate brand along with its own matching pedestal. In my experience LG is one of the worst brands of home appliance company and have very poor customer service.

We had this dishwasher for 11 mos before we noticed cracks along the top of the co tell panel. LG claims that this is surely cosmetic akin to a scratch or dent. I disagree, this is a poorly designed unit. Lowes actually did not want to cover this cosmetic defect, the repairman got it covered due to the cracks allowing moisture into the controls. Fast forward 3 mos, the newly replaced control panel now has cracks the same as the previous panel. The plastic used on these panels is apparently defective or the unit produces more heat than the panel can withstand. This is an engineering issue and not enough testing was done to notice the apparent heat issues. I am not the only person who has had this same problem, but yet LG does not want to admit it has issues.

Visiting technician (not his faults) says the linear compressor used in this LG refrigerator is noisy/louder than others -and suggest we install sound-dampening around the refrigerator. I regret purchasing this LG refrigerator - its louder than the GE we had before. Reminds me of my grandmothers noisy Kelvinator in 1959. Freezer frost is resolved by decreasing the amount of food we stored in the freezer, which was never an issue with our previous unit(s)?!?

We purchased the LG French door refrigerator LFXS29626 in December 2016. After approximately 18 months of use, this virtually new refrigerator, stopped cooling and required a replacement compressor at a cost of $850. The technician doing the repair said that he is seeing many other “new” LGs with same problem. I can’t tell you how dissatisfied we are with this product and I hope there is a recall/reimbursements for the cost of repair. This is wrong!

I purchased 4 of the LG Studio line for my new kitchen. Gas Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher, and refrigerator. 1st use of Dishwasher and it did not clean. Then the items I left in for the next wash, grew BLACK MOLD. There is always moisture in the dishwasher, even day after running it, and I have to leave the door ajar to help it dry. If I shut the door, BLACK MOLD grows. The microwave turntable rattles so loud it can be heard over the normal microwave sounds. The gas stove is often unresponsive. The buttons on the front do not always work and I have had to pull it out from the wall to unplug it and plug it back in to get them to work. It is very random and I have not been able to figure out a pattern of use that causes it to malfunction.I put in 3 service requests to have these repaired. Im entering the 3rd month and they STILL have not been to my home. LG sent this to a 3rd party Vendor AE FACTORY. They have left partial emails telling me to call them and then they do NOT answer their phone. I have spent even more time contacting LG Customer Service, who has done nothing to help. They have no control over their 3rd party repair vendors, and no supervisor will ever get on the phone or call me back. DO yourself a favor, go with a different brand!

One never-ending nightmare! I ordered an LG Dishwasher (LDF5545BD) from Homedepot.com on Jan 15th, 2021. As I write this today (February 19th, 2021), I still do not have a working dishwasher after spending nearly $900! The 1st dishwasher arrived on Jan 21st, 2021 but I quickly realized the unit wouldn’t dry the dishes (even with the Extra Dry setting). An appliance associate at my local Home Depot in Austell, GA, Mr. Scott ** was very helpful in helping me contact LG to report the problem. LG decided to replace the unit which was delivered on February 7th, 2021. The installers told me they could not install it fully because it is connected electrically and they’re not supposed to deal with wires without some other attachment. Why was I not told about that beforehand or from the previous installers? Anyway, this second unit did not dry my dishes either. Called support and they told me to use Rinse Aid. I did not feel like I should have to now not only buy dishwasher detergent but also Rinse Aid. So I initially refused to add a rinse budget to my expensive non-working dishwasher purchase. A repair technician was sent out from National Platinum Service in Columbus Georgia. That technician came 13 minutes early, rang my bell, and left 12 minutes before my service window time. They sent another technician the next day who also told me I should add Rinse Aid. After doing very little to check the unit he asked me to sign and he left. I gave in and bought some Rinse Aid and then ran my dishwasher again and then again using the Rinse Aid and varying settings (like High Temp, Extra Dry, etc). No luck – dishes, racks, and inside the unit is soaking wet! LG will have you being transferred to several people who either can’t see the details of my problem or will keep you on hold so long that when someone does speak with you there is a 4-second audio delay added to uncompassionate customer service. LG says they won’t replace it with a different model or refund me so I’m stuck with an $800 paperweight. I cannot reach Mr. Scott at Home Depot and LG won’t budge (because they really, really must need my $800). They want to send another repairman as if I broke it. This is terrible!

After finishing warranty period that is 2 years and after exactly 2 years and 8-9 months machine is giving error. We had register complaint then 4 to 5 times their different technicians came telling various problem. And at last they found but spare parts are so costly so I will not suggest this w.m. for ordinary people who cant afford this regular maintenance of around 2000. If small part is also damage you have to take whole unit e.g. PCB harness for one part of filter PCB. It is really not affordable. Company should provide those small parts instead of insisting customer to buy whole units.

We bought the latest LG washer (WT5070CW) and dryer (DLGX5171W) that have the glass doors. BIGGEST MISTAKE. I used to have the GE washer and dryer, basic machines and they did a far superior job. Unfortunately it broke down and hence I had to buy a new pair. GE/Maytag/Whirlpool are the only brands with good household appliances. If youve never used a good machine before youd never realize. My clothes arent clean enough. High Efficiency is crap. It uses very little water to evenly wash clothes. I got over that hump by trying different options. Yet its very rough on clothes. It also takes VERY long to wash. My old GE took only 45 mins to do an excellent wash. The same now takes 1 hr 47 mins! The dryer doesnt dry fully. Works ok only on small clothes like small towels etc., things like bed sheets dont dry evenly. Large loads irrespective of the size of the garment dont dry evenly. I gave 1 star because its required. Its not worth any.

Since that time we have been cleaning it and changing filters every 3 months and it still has gone out 2 more times. Now I have a call into them AGAIN and they are coming out on Aug 18th and LG gave me a ref number so he doesnt charge me because NOW it is out of warranty as they say. They said to call that number and all charges will be covered. I spent over $3000.00 for this refrigerator and it is a piece of garbage! Not to mention all the food that we have lost each time it stops freezing and cooling! Please help us! This just horrible! Diane **

But, the microwave doesnt have a 5 seconds option so its hard to cook your food at your desired temperature. Also, its hard to keep it clean since so many girls uses it each day. Called for service. 2-5 business days for a repair company in my town to make a date to come fix it. BS. I want my damn money back plus money for my electric bill to bring in a mini fridge to keep my now rebought food. Im so damn not happy. In my opinion I think its time for a Attorney. We purchased an LG front load washer (LG WM2688HNM) and dryer in June 2007
We purchased an LG front load washer (LG WM2688HNM) and dryer in June 2007 from Best Buy. We had constant problems with the washer leaking. We had technicians out almost monthly to try and find the source of the leak without any success. After about five months of complaining to LG’s customer service, they did have Best Buy give us a replacement in June of 2008. Unfortunately, the new machine did the same thing, but not quite as often and more like every two or three months. Again, the technicians cannot find where the leak is occurring from. It does not seem to make any difference how much detergent or bleach one uses. About two years ago the machine started dancing across the floor and vibrating items off the shelves in the laundry room. The technician put pads under the washer that are supposed to keep it in place and reduce the vibrations, but to no avail. It just keeps moving from one side of the laundry room to the other side, so we have to put it back in place until the next load.Oh, by the way, the dryer does not work much better than the washer. It goes through the dry cycle (and it doesn’t seem to matter which one) and the clothes are still damp if not wet. It doesn’t seem to matter if one uses the wrinkle guard or not. One technician suggested that with LG, one needed to use normal if you were doing permanent press, clothes, etc., but they still don’t get fully dried. Based on our experience, I would have to say do not buy LG products. As it stands at this point, I don’t think I would take an LG product if they were to give it to me.

We purchased our home in 2/2015 which came with LG washing machine purchased in August 2013. Machine started showing UE/balance error by September. In first call to LG, we were told we needed to level machine. We did so, but machine was already leveled. Soon after, UE warnings began to appear during sheet washes and tub cleans. If we are not on top of the cycle, machine will run for hours spinning and then refilling then spinning again. Called again and told since we were out of two-year warranty we were responsible for call and repair. Technician recommended by LG said circuit board was gone and would cost $300 for part. One more call to LG, and we were told they could do nothing for us. Technician said to just purchase new machine as we would be throwing good money after bad. So we are replacing two and a half year old machine that was used since purchased by two owners who were retired couples and have minimal washes. A huge piece of junk. I would NEVER purchase an LG appliance again.

I purchased a large LG French Door Refrigerator, with a 5 year warranty, in 2016. It worked fine until 2019, when the compressor failed and needed replacement. LG replaced the compressor, but the refrigerator broke down again the next month. It broke down 2 additional times to-date. During this time, my refrigerator (model LMX530776S) and approx. 50 other models, were identified as DEFECTIVE and covered by a Class Action Suit. At this point, I requested that LG replace my refrigerator. As stated above, the Customer Service Dept. became totally curt and unhelpful. They lied to me about the status of my claim and repeatedly declined to connect me to a manager. Once I received an email from the Problem Solution Dept., that I was later informed didn’t exist! My fridge stopped cooling the night before Thanksgiving. It is still running and the light come on...but not cooling...food lost! I called our Home warranty. Technician to come out, he was there within 3 hours because they consider problems with a refrigerator and emergency. He said it is a compressor leak and there is no Freon left in the appliance. Due to this, he cannot fix so I needed to call LG because it should be under warranty.I called LG first thing in the morning on Friday after Thanksgiving, and they said that they would notify a repair tech to call us and schedule a time to fix the appliance if it was fixable. Monday still no word from them. I called LG back and they said none of the repair shops around me had accepted the order so they would move me to to an escalation group to get scheduled who would call me in 3-5 days...still I have no fridge. I did now get an email saying that they scheduled a consultation with a technician for next Friday...this is where they will come and see what is wrong with my fridge so they can order parts. I explained to them after waiting on hold for 25 minutes...I have notes from a technician that you can use to fix my fridge when they come. They will not do that. Once they order parts, those will take a week or longer to get to my house, then you have to reschedule the tech... This is ridiculous! I am going to be out a refrigerator for a MONTH! And this is an appliance I spent $2200 only 2.75 years ago. The customer service was no help and frankly not that empathetic to the fact that we are a large family and had no fridge over Thanksgiving, let alone now. Very disappointed! This is unacceptable!

We did our research years ago and was convinced that LG products were great. I dont care what the pros say on their website. I am here to tell you that I WILL NOT buy another LG product. The washer isnt so bad; only when it says the wash will take 56 minutes - it may be 90 minutes. The dryer is another story. If you are drying something with straps, forget it; it will be ruined. The straps get caught in the vent, twists them and snaps the straps off. Three of wifes items could not be repaired. Then it doesnt dry. When you hit normal (41 minutes and 1/3rd of the time when the vent doesnt twist the clothes), sometimes the clothes will dry and sometimes it wont. I have come to know that reviews may not be accurate. I have been offered money to write a positive review on a car that I test-drove so be wary of reviews by manufacturers.

I bought an LG stove @ Home Depot on November 2009. I could write a book to describe the delivery and write a full chapter dedicated to the balanced decision of the person that sold me the defective door on the fridge. Three years, and no problem with the stove, then about 7 months ago I started to have problems with the control panel… F1 appeared but because the building has been undergoing changes, I did not bother to say anything. An electrician confirmed that it had nothing to do with the malfunction. About 2 months ago, as the upgrading of the building had come to a completion, I spoke to LG and for 2 months, I have been lied to and deceived by the executives of this company - very ethical indeed. They want to give me a prorated $700.00 for me to buy another stove. Today, I find out, that the reason why they don’t want to come over to fix my stove, the reason is that this model LSB5682SW/01 was made in Canada and this model is now discontinued. In other words... (TOO BAD, TOO BAD… Revelation chapter 18) for me. That is while I was speaking to a representative. He assured me that the unit was “unrepairable”. I then asked him what F1 means. He said it meant “AN OVEN ISSUE”. Another Executive told my sister “that there is now a SAFETY issue” with the stove. What I mean is that they have conjured up for themselves a code of silence and mutated the truth. It is difficult when there is so much silence for so long - this makes it more unbearable. Now they want me to buy another LG stove. What they should do is refund me the money or fix the control panel - neither of these they want to oversee. Why are there not more videos uploaded to YouTube on this CURSED practice?? I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS WAS MADE IN CANADA.

Thank God we have another fridge as a back-up. I guess I should have checked where it was made! I might need to check an American-made product, if we still have one. LG is a cheaply made piece of junk! Dont buy them!

Purchased LG dishwasher 2/20/14. Had to redo plumbing to accommodate dishwasher. Did not get it installed for a month, therefore unable to return to Home Depot when it wouldnt clean my dishes. Called LG. Was told I was using wrong detergent and needed to add a booster. That made no difference in the cleaning. After 4 service calls, replacing the sump motor and the main board, it still does not clean the dishes. LG corporate customer service says that it works and that the problem is that I have hard water (never mind that my 13-yr-old Maytag cleaned my dishes). Stated there was nothing else they could do and maybe I should consider getting a water softener. Will never buy another LG product.

(Re: LG Tromm WM1841CW) I moved in with my GF, leaving my old cheap top load behind for the new tenant and thinking hey, why not, the GF has an expensive LG; more expensive, a lot more expensive, so it must be better, right? Wrong! On top of the musty odors, I swear I am gaining rather than losing stains on my clothing. These look like grease stains. Certain materials seem more prone, such as cottons, especially softer cottons. LG suggests all this ** about cleaning the door seal, door, and tub at minimum daily. What a load of **! What, the consumer has to fix LGs bad design problems? And this thing cost more than a thousand. My 50-dollar secondhand washer never had these problems and got things clean. Save your money and you mind and buy yourself a good ol’ cheap top loader. Going forward, I will hand fill (over fill) the tub with super-hot water and pout in a couple cups of bleach and let it wash for a few minutes before letting it sit for a few hours. As for the laundry, I will see about over filling it with water to get the wash actually clean.

I bought my washer and dryer a few years ago. About a month, maybe less from the first use my washer would drain out all over the floor. I couldnt figure out why. I read the troubleshooting manual and found it had a drain. So now every other day I drain it in a bucket so it doesnt leak ALL over my floor. I shouldnt have to drain my washer... it shouldnt leak. A few weeks after my washer started leaking my dryer stopped drying. I did all the vent cleaning and it didnt help. I found one setting that will dry my clothes. I have to put it on cotton/towels for 1 hr to dry a small load or a large load. That is the only setting that works. Now my dryer has been making a loud noise for months, my clothes have also been getting caught and all my tank tops straps get stretched and ripped. I just took a good look inside and the drum is not only cracked, a big piece is broken off. After reading all the trouble people have trying to get help from LG I will not bother. I am going to buy a new set NOT MADE BY LG... I can no longer deal with trying to get laundry done for a family of 5 with useless appliances.

June 7, 2017 I bought an LG washer from Lowes. November 4, 2017 the bottom of the washer came apart. I called for a service tech to come out to service this washer. November 9, 2017 service tech came out and repaired the washer. I did one load of laundry and even that one didnt finish. The bottom part came apart again. November 16, 2017 the service tech ordered a new part. For the last week Ive been calling LG every day to check on the status of this part. Theres no such thing as customer service. I have been told so many stories. All I know is that I have a six month old washer that does not work. And I get to go to laundromat and do laundry. For one month this washer has not worked.

This range is a major fire hazard! I cannot believe it has not already been recalled. The slightest brush up against the knobs will accidentally turn them on. Weve already had one small fire as a result. It terrifies me! In addition to this, the oven is suddenly not heating evenly and its only two years old. We are having someone look at it ASAP. I regret this purchase and would strongly advise consumers to STAY AWAY FROM THIS APPLIANCE.

I bought the washer in June of 2013 and had issues right away. It would never put in enough water to get the clothes clean. My husband works with cattle and his clothes get dirty. After the Heavy Duty cycle, the clothes would come out with mud. Always have to use the Bulky/Bedding cycle. Machine would freeze up and finally wouldnt reset. They replaced the control board and found a wire that was never installed correctly so sometimes it would connect and sometimes not. Now just this month it would constantly be uneven and finally froze up. It was the main part under the drum that controls the machine that went out. Only 2 years old and this is the machine I am stuck with. Thankfully I bought a 5 year extended warranty with it. Once that is up, I will not buy another. Cycles take forever. You get the UE Uneven Code a lot with towels. It is not water efficient when it will constantly refill to make it even, spin and do it over again because it is still uneven.

Bought the WT110C top load with the front panel. Had it for a year now. Beautiful machine. Too bad it takes days to do a load because the machine wont stay balanced. You can babysit this thing for hours trying to get it through a spin cycle. Doesnt matter how you load it, small loads, big ones, mixed clothes, bulky bedding, on and on. I have tried every mode, trick, time, spin mode combination there is and still the dreaded UE code comes on. Occasionally it will make it through a load and when it does the heavens part and the angels sing and I feel like a winner. If you like to spend hours doing laundry and praying over a washer, this is the machine for you. LG needs to stick to cell phones.

Please be a prudent shopper when buying this unit. We purchased this refrigerator (LG Linear Compressor Refrigerator) two years ago and paid about $1000 extra for a counter depth unit. That brought the price just close to $3700.00. I did not get the warranty because I thought it would last at least five years. Nope. The Error Code E-IF comes on at least once a month. The refrigerator went in bad order about six months after we bought it. Luckily the year warranty was still good. Just about every month now, I have to use a hair dryer and defrost the unit so my family can get ice and water through the door. That is not good for a unit of this price. At first, I would pull the unit out and unplugging it for at least four hours. That is not good when the thing weighs a ton and it has to sit in the middle of the kitchen. I have now found a YouTube video of another customer that uses a ladys hair dryer to defrost the unit. I have began using a hair dryer to defrost the unit as well. It is much faster. Searching the internet, I have found other people who reported this is not a great unit to buy and they too have had many problems. LG should issue a recall or reach out to the many customers who have complained about this unit. I think that will go a long way to making the consumer happy. Again, it is the ice maker that is horrible.UPDATE on 04/08/2017: I had a service person come out and they told me my electronics board and the fan at the bottom of the unit needed replacing. Mind you, we have had this unit (LG Linear Compressor Refrigerator) less than five years. The technician said company recommended a new board and a new ice fan. The board only cost .74 cents. That is right.. Only 74 cents. I find that strange. Seems to me that board was bad. The Ice Fan was a tad more costly. Anyway the job came up to over $300 to repair. Issue one. I had to wait for the electronics board and the fan to arrive. The next service date that I could get was six days from the initial visit. So, I had no ice and water through the door. We survived. We knew that the unit would be fixed in a couple days. Six days later (yesterday) the technician comes out and installs the parts. Refrigerator worked well for ONE day. Just looked at it and a different Error Code is on R-DH. Are you kidding me? This thing cost too much to have all these problems. The fix for this is to unplug the unit and then allow it to reset. So, I have to pull it out from the wall again. How many times, I can could. Maybe I should keep track. I will do this. If it does not work, LG website suggests a service call. Wow.

We purchased an LG French Door refrigerator in July of 2016. In February of 2019 (32 months later) the compressor died, costing us $500 in service fees and waiting a week without a fridge for parts. Contacted LG service and they gave me the run around for two days. In the meantime, we were losing food (valued around $500). After reading further online, there are class action lawsuits against LG for these same issues. DO NOT PURCHASE LG refrigerators! Look elsewhere to save yourself time, frustration and lots of money!

My LG has been very reliable for 9 years. I love having the freezer at the bottom with the double refrigerator doors at the top. The ONLY design feature I don’t like at all is the temp controlled drawer that goes across the full width of the refrigerator. In order to use that drawer you have to open both doors. We bought the five-year warranty with it and called them to have someone come look at it (to uphold the warranty) and they transferred us to the Philippines!! Though we bought it at Lowes fifteen minutes away! The person on the line who can barely be understood tells us they dont have anyone near us to come look at it and that someone will be getting in contact with us within the next 24 hours. That was two days ago. I had just went shopping and filled this fridge and woke up and everything was spoiled!! I would definitely not get this refrigerator!! I have a child who now has to get her (what will fit) drinks out of a small cooler because I dont have another 4-5 thousand dollars to go purchase another refrigerator! This was my first major purchase after the death of my husband, and I did my due diligence, I thought. After much research, I went with the LG. It has been wonderful, until it stopped making ice, then no cold water, then the freezer stopped working and finally the fridge portion. I called 2 different companies for their estimates. Both told me to throw the refrigerator out. It is only 5 years old. Cost me almost 2500.00 new from Brandsmart. When our old refrigerator quit a little over 2 years ago, my wife and I shopped around and decided to purchased a new LG refrigerator. When the door panel control indicated we needed to replace the air and water filters, we ordered replacements but before the replacement arrived the cooling shut off completely and we lost everything in the refrigerator. We later learned that if the filters are not replaced immediately the cooling shuts off. A little over a week ago and without filter replacement warnings, the refrigerator and freezer stopped working altogether. Again, we lost everything in the refrigerator and freezer. LG customer service was not helpful. We were told a repairman would contact us within 24 hours. 48 hours later my wife tracked down the repairman. I note it was not the repairmans fault. The repairman said the electrical operating panel, compressor and something other part were all bad and had to be replaced. Basically rebuilding the refrigerator. Repairman would order the parts. 6 days later we are still waiting. Using a dorm refrigerator from my office to keep milk cold for our two kids. LGs customer service has been totally inadequate and very disappointing.

I purchased an 4.5 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Top Load Washer Featuring Powerful Stain Care Technology Model: WT4870CW in March 2014, in addition to the companion dryer. I purchased this product as reviews had been good, and the price was right. It has been the worst machine I have ever owned. In spite of trying various settings, and contacting the manufacturer, clothes just dont get clean, and even today, linens that I took out had more stains on them than when they went in. The clothes dont agitate, and even if you use a setting that adds more water, the clothes just dont move around. They come out in the same position as when you loaded the machine. Forget using a water-saving setting - the clothes are barely damp. The machine will go off balance if there is anything, even one item, that is of a different weight. It resets itself endlessly. I miss my old Maytag and cant wait for a reason to get rid of the LG Washer. The drier is also a problem, but I guess I can live with wrinkled clothes more than I can with dirty ones. Dont buy an LG.

After reading many customer reviews I have to chime in. We bought an LG refrigerator 10 months ago. The compressor went out had to wait two weeks for the technician to come out to tell me the compressor was out. I told them when I called, when the technician comes out have him bring a new compressor. No they have to diagnose the problem first. All you have to do is read every review out there and you will know the compressor is the problem. Which brings me to today, yesterday the technician from A&E came out to put in the compressor that was sent to my house. We went to my grandsons birthday party only to come home and find my refrigerator warmer on the inside than I was on the outside. Living without a refrigerator is a nightmare, and then not knowing if it will work after the repair is even worse. So here we sit with a large paper weight in our kitchen!!! They continued to send out defective compressors. I am now waiting another week for the repair technician to come back out to diagnose a defective compressor.Too many people are suffering because of their incompetence. We cannot let the consumers in the United States continue to be treated this way by LG. Thanks to all the people who have written their complaints online.

Do not buy LG Washer WT4801CW! I bought an LG washer and dryer from the Home Depot this past March 3, 2012 with my tax money, thinking that I was getting a top-of-the-line. Well, I was wrong. Within 30 days of my purchase, it just stopped in a middle of a cycle. My clothes got locked in and I immediately called LG. Their response was that was a common known problem that those washers had and I couldnt get a replacement since they had the parts to fix it. So, I had fix-it parts on a brand new washer. So, after five days passed with my clothes still inside the washer, finally, a technician came out. My childrens clothes got damaged. It worked fine. I thought the nightmare was over until again, less than a month that the technician came out, it happened again on 5/4/12. This time, they knew who I was and just sent me to a supervisor. All she could say again was that if they had the parts to fix it, thats what they would do. I am very upset. I have to wait another five days to wash again and till then go to the Laundromat again. I dont know what to do; they will not replace this defective two-month old washing machine.

LG customer service is HORRIBLE. It has been a nightmare dealing with them. I own 3 LG TVs and a LG Dryer (had washer but it broke and went to Samsung). I just had my kitchen re-modeled and bought all new appliances. EVERYONE told me to stay away from LG due to their customer service. Product ok but service would be bad if I ever needed them. I was told to go with Samsung. I decided to stick with LG and bought $4K LG Refrigerator. In addition, I also purchases a new LG Stove, LG Microwave and LG Dishwasher. What a mistake! After only 5 months, my LG refrigerator broke! I called LG customer service. That, in itself, was frustrating. They sent someone out to fix it. After it being serviced it was still not working. I contacted them again and they sent the same service tech out. The service tech advised them and noted it on the paper he left me that it was broken and he could not fix it. I contacted LG to get replacement. They said they needed to send yet another tech. I took off another day of work and the tech never showed up!! When I contacted them, the same women picked up and we got disconnected 2 times. I called and got someone else and the phone seemed fine with no disconnection. It has been 3 weeks. I still have no refrigerator and LG still has not confirmed when we would have a service tech come out again. I have a family of 6 with no refrigerator!! I wish they give my money back. I used all the recommended treatments, washing machine cleaners (additional expense), emptying its water often (additional inconvenience), leaving the door open when not in use (hit my legs and bruise them), still clothes smell horrible, especially towels seem to absorb this mushy smell. I hope soon I will get rid of it. I missed clean smelling fresh clothes so much. I need to use a ton of drying sheets to suppress the smell. NEVER BUY FRONT LOADING WASHER. I WILL NEVER AGAIN. They do not save water because you have to wash your clothes again and again. Also you need to clean the machine with special cleaners while running it empty. So in the end no water is saved.
