We bought a gas LG range in November 2017, we got the matching refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and range after we bought a new house. We did not start using it until February 2018 when we moved into the house. Since that time the oven would periodically say it was at temperature but when you open the oven to put in whatever you were cooking you could tell that it was not up to temperature. At first it was sporadic and I thought at first I was doing something wrong. Then it was every time that you would try to use the oven it would not stay up to temperature. Called and got a repair person to come out, under warranty, and we were told the ignitor was bad and it was replaced. It was less than a month later that it was doing the same thing. The repair person came out again, said again it was an ignitor issue. Ignitor was replaced again. (This time it was not within the warranty period.) Its been a couple months since the ignitor was replaced for the 2nd time and it is doing it again. I will never buy another LG appliance again. When you own an oven you expect that you can use it. Just thankful that the neighbor doesnt mind me using their oven to cook my meals.

All of our appliances and most of our TVs are LG products. They will all be replaced with another brand when the time comes. The Linear Compressor in the french door refrigerators are known defects. Good news is that a class action lawsuit was filed against LG. I had mine diagnosed by a local repairman. He says he sees at least (2) of them every week and sometimes several more. Unfortunately, he was not an LG contractor so he could not get the compressor directly. I would have to contact LG and get authorization letter he can use to order the part and I would have to pay him for labor on installation. I didnt want to have to deal with LG (customer service sucks!!). I called their helpline and explained that I needed someone to replace the compressor that was covered under parts warranty. They said I would have to pay another diagnostic fee. The the tech could schedule the repair. A 2500 refrigerator that lasted (5) years and now I am paying to have it fixed. The Kenmore in my garage is over 20 years old and I have never had an issue with it. Fool me once, shame on you - fool me twice, shame on me. I will not buy an LG appliance again. Hopefully the lawsuit will yield something.

I bought my refrigerator (LG Refrigerator LFXC24726S/02 MODEL#502krpv10848) 8/17/2015 at Plessers in Babylon. I also purchased the extended warranty. Since I purchased the unit there was a problem with the motherboard computer within the year because it was covered under the manufacturers warranty. July 21, 2018 my refrigerator stopped working and I called the warranty and they sent Mr. Appliance out on 7/26/18. The first visit the repairman Rob said it was a Freon leak and they had to come back to determine where the leak was coming from. I had to reschedule and they came back on 8/1/18. The repairman Bob, said that it was the compressor that had to be ordered directly from LG. He said it could take awhile. I called last yesterday afternoon after repairman had left and every time I called it was a picked up and then a hang up all afternoon. I spoke with LG today and was hung up on. I have been without a refrigerator for almost 2 weeks and I have 3 teenagers with no fridge. We are living out of coolers! I have called LG, NEW LEAF (warranty company), Mr. Appliance, and the retailer Plessers. Everyone keeps passing the buck and doesnt take responsibility. They all seem to feel that its normal to be without a refrigerator for 2 weeks plus! I was told by Mr. Appliance it could take a couple of weeks to get the compressor and then I have to call for another appointment to have it installed. This is totally unacceptable! I want a loaner or a new refrigerator! I will NEVER buy from PLESSERS or an LG appliance again.

I have a LG washer and dryer, both are four years old. I’ve been having intermittent issues with the washer not spinning/throwing a code. Three months ago I called LG to ask who the authorized repair rep is for my area (I do not live in a remote area). Two separate phone calls and 45 minutes out of my life and still they could not tell me who to call in my area. I finally emailed again about a month later and was provided two possibilities, one of them does not service my area. By the time I got a repair, the washer was completely seized and cannot be repaired. The washer went to the dump today. An email to the VP of service in Canada four days ago has not even been acknowledged. Absolutely deplorable customer care and more aggravation than it’s worth.

I liked my LG refrigerator when I bought it about three years ago, but its compressor went out, and I wasnt very happy with it a few weeks ago. I love the refrigerator, the way it operates as well as the shelving, and its easy to take care of. But then I noticed my freezer things were getting a little mushy soft in the freezer. A few days later, my son came over and we went through the directions on how to restart it. You pull the plug and let it rest, which we did, and we adjusted some other things. But when I got up the next morning, my whole kitchen floor was full of water. So, he said the compressor went out on it. LG then came out here and put a new compressor in. They also sent me a check for the food that I lost, which I did lose a lot. I appreciate that I didnt have to put any money out, but it was very frustrating. A refrigerator should last longer than three years.

$2500 refrigerator lasted 32 months - After our ice maker started squirting water everywhere and freezing up, we were told wed need a whole new door to the tune of $600. While we were waiting for the door to ship, the whole fridge stopped cooling. Everything in the fridge and freezer was ruined. The Geek Squad diagnosed the problem as a sealed system issue, which they are not allowed to work on. Parts, but not labor, are covered by LG, but you have to find your own repairman, and then LG will eventually send them an authorization letter to do the work. We are not willing to spend over $1,000 to fix a $2,500 fridge, when the repairs are not even guaranteed. LG has not responded to my email, and Ive just read many other reviews by people who got tired of waiting for satisfaction from LG, cut their losses, and bought another (not LG) refrigerator. LG knows people cant live that long without refrigeration, so they just stall until people give up. LG BUYER BEWARE!

Control knobs will turn on with a slight bump. Has burned items on my stove because was caught by someone in my household. Smoke alarms going off and rooms filled with smoke. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE!!! LG refuses to acknowledge or correct the problem, despite numerous consumers having the same exact complaint. They have denied my request for a fix. I check recalls every week just expecting to find this range on the list, but not yet. I hope it doesn’t take a serious incident for this to be addressed. Im hoping a lawyer will file a class action suit against LG. Costco says they must go thru the manufacture for this problem. Who will pay for my house if it burns down because of this stove?

I purchased an LG refrigerator February 2008, French doors with bottom freezer. I had issues almost immediately, but were resolved under warranty. However, it took 2 weeks for the parts to arrive. Since the warranty expired, the plastic liner of the right door that has knobs to hold the door racks have broke; the door seals are tearing, there are cracks everywhere on the internal plastic liner; the catch for the top freezer tray broke off. This product is literally falling apart. We have contacted LG about some off these issues, but the response has been you are out of warranty and the repairs are on you. What a great company! Never buy an LG refrigerator.

I purchased a bottom freezer LG refrigerator three years ago. I opened the door and discovered there was no power to it. I just had a repairman examine it. It blew a simple fuse, but the fuses are soldered in so it cost me $400 to replace the control panel. Thats one-third the cost of the entire refrigerator. And its only three years old! I was looking at an LG TV, but I have now decided to never again purchase one of their products. My old, no frills Kenmore refrigerator was still going strong after 20 years. I decided to replace it with this one to improve the energy efficiency.

I bought a new LG WT7900 Washer (their top-of-the-line top-load machine) in May 2020 (3 months ago). The direct-drive motor now makes a very loud grinding noise (even though the motor has a 10-yr warranty). Ive since learned that this is a common issue thats been going on for nearly a year. I called the LG 800# found in the Owners Manual. They scheduled a repair appointment with their third-party repair service (A&E Factory Service, which also goes by the name Sears Appliance Repair... really????). I took the first-available a.m. appointment, thinking thatd increase my chances of them actually showing up.My Service appointment was scheduled for 7am-11am today (Aug 8, 2020). You guessed it... NO ONE showed up, or even bothered to contact me (other than a confirmation text I got yesterday). So I called their 800#, and was on hold an HOUR before getting a live person (guessing lots of people are having similar experiences since their phone lines are so busy??). When I finally get someone, he says he needs to put me on hold while he investigates the issue. But after being on hold another 10 minutes, the line disconnected. So now I have a brand new LG Washing Machine that doesnt work, and LG is taking no responsibility to fix it or replace it.

The refrigerator was recommended to me by a friend. I really do take pride in this amazing refrigerator for sure. I cannot say it enough. It was a standard basic refrigerator and had an ice maker in it. It was stainless steel and a shiny grey and was hard to stain or beat up. Even with a child in the house this refrigerator is so darn durable and I absolutely love it. It was a good refrigerator and kept the food cold like all refrigerators should.. This refrigerator was definitely built to last for years and am so glad I found it. I even got a good deal. This refrigerator belongs in every single home. I cannot say it enough.

Our refrigerator starting beeping every 30 seconds. We checked all the troubleshooting suggestions from leveling, moving around the food, buying thermostats, to making sure the doors were closed. We figured out the beeping was the freezer section. We called LG who immediately said the sensor was bad and that the part was covered but the labor will not be. It seems that this is a known problem. Im just wondering why, if its a known defect... why isnt it covered. I havent had the refrigerator for 7 years yet so it should be covered. Right?!?! We corrected the problem by taping down the switch that turns on the light in the freezer section. Last night, 4:32 am, the other section started beeping. It beeps for every 30 seconds for about 20 minutes and then stops for a few hours. Id rather not be able to see in my refrigerator than spend hundreds for repair. The temps are fine. Just, buyer beware.

Bought LG refrigerator LFXS28968S/00 in Dec. On Thurs May 24, error code dH F (not in manual) and stopped working. LG said to unplug for a few minutes to fix it. Wrong! I took day off work, but he showed up at 5:30 pm, worked for 2 hours, said it was fixed. Told me to put a brick behind fridge so it wouldnt sit too close to wall. Done. Bought new fridge full of food. By next morning, error code back, fridge not working. Called LG repeatedly, no help. Finally reached the repair person who said he had ordered a part. That was over a week ago. Left him subsequent voicemails, no response. Have called LG repeatedly, finally demanding new fridge. They said no even though its under warranty and no new repair or repair date after 2-1/2 weeks with no fridge and much $ lost in two loads of spoiled food. Im a busy working single mom now having to feed family on restaurant food or shop daily for just enough to cook for a meal without wasting the rest with no refrigeration. Terrible product, terrible service.

Ive owned this LG washing machine and dryer for about 2 years now. I found that if I dont overload the machine, it cleans the clothes fairly well. I do think the amount of water used is too small. Its just not sufficient enough to soak into the clothes to loosen the dirt and odors. The odor is the sign that it needs to be reprogrammed for more water. When it was programmed for the amount of water it uses now, the engineers lengthened the washing cycle, which increases electricity use. Lengthen the cycle did not cause the clothes to get cleaner. More water is the key and maybe a redo of the soap used in cleaning the clothes. Either way there must be an adjustment. Lets hope they listen eventually or they will lose sales big time. My sister has the same problem with her front load machine. The dryer is just fine, great. You just have to take my word for it. Pictures wont give you the smell and why would I lie about a purchase that I paid over a thousand dollars to buy?

OMG. What a runaround, On Jan 14 2018 the unit (LG Armoire door in door 2 year old refrigerator) was not cooling. Spoke to a rep in the Philippines. Advised would contact tech and order part. She would follow up with an authorization code, which also never happened. On Jan 18, 2018, called LG Executive Service in Alabama for an authorization code and was advised would be set up with a Sears repair company. Finally on Jan 25, 2018 the repairman came and guess what - no authorization code in the system and I would have a $700 repair for a compressor which needed to be ordered. His manager would not speak to a “customer“. Finally I called executive service at LG in Alabama again and was confirmed that it was never set up correctly. She did set it up today, Jan 25, 2018. The service tech was now able to order the parts and would call me back with a time and date for him to come back to install the parts. So, going on more than 10 days of phone calls and waiting will continue for another unacceptable time. Stay tuned! This story seems to be repeated in all the reviews. Very sad for such a large company with beautiful, expensive appliances.

Be aware that the LG front end load washing machines model WM0642HW only last 5-7 years compared with top load washers 10-15 years. My wife & I made a major error by purchasing our first front end load washer that broke after 5 years. Previously for the past 30 years we have had 2 Maytag top loaders (15 years each). Specifically, the horizontal pressure on the wash tank bearings results in the failure of the bearings and the rotor assembly. These are parts that total nearly $100.00. However, the service requires at least 3-4 hours of repair, which is nearly $500.00. In summary, never purchase a LG front end load washer.

LG Washer/Dryer unit. Noticed water on floor, thought it was the washer. Repairman identified water coming from dryer. He was not able to fix the problem. Might add, weve passed the one yr. warranty and didnt purchase an extended warranty thinking back over 50 yrs of never having to call a W/D repair person. After some personal research discovered the water drain was not connected to the proper reservoir. Never saw a drop of water in the prescribed reservoir which means it was never properly installed at the factory or whatever reason LG can figure who to blame. Theyve given me some repair phone #s. None service our area. Discovered that they have a very narrow presence for repair people. This is a BUYER BEWARE of LG. No service, poor and rude customer service and a phone number with a broken answering string. In the meantime, LG has a duty and a responsibility to mitigate all damages and the Consumer Affairs Division of the State of California needs to look into a company that sells their products without providing a reasonable method of getting repair service. Their star deserves a huge Zero. I bought both items at Home Depot and they could not give me a repair person for LG. Right now were stuck with having an expensive dryer that doesnt work. Carting a basket of wet laundry to dry outside is a huge inconvenience for an 80 yr. old.

All of their units are worthless even their cell V10 & V20, their dishwasher its also another piece of crap. NEVER AGAIN will I ever buy LG. So far stove/oven and microwave works... but give it time. Update on 06/11/2020: It is now June 11th and there still is no resolve even though my original review states there is a resolution in process. It is true that LG reached out to me as shown below however, I responded to them and I have heard nothing back. As far as Im concerned, this reaching out with a form e-mail is just more of the same. If I could give LG zero stars I would.Original Review: I have a top of the line washer that is still under warranty that will not run. I called LG on 5/30 and it was determined by them someone needed to come to my home. I was assigned to a second rate authorized agent that operates out of his home. I called this agent on 6/2 because I never heard from them during the 24-48 business hour time frame. (It was at this point that I did some research on who they were and found bad reviews for them.) To make a very long story short I was promised on 6/2 that a reputable company I found would be assigned to me and it would be 24-48 hours before Id hear. I found this company on LGs website as an authorized service agent and when I called them directly, they informed me they were available to come out the next day if LG would assign it to them. As I said, LG promised this would be done. When I heard nothing, I called them once again on 6/4. I spoke with a very nice rep (her name was Jess) who transferred me to executive services and I was told by that lady that the company I requested had no availability. I informed her that I had been told they would be able to come out the following day if LG would assign it to them and this is what was supposed to be being done. When I asked her to hold for a minute, I placed a call to the company I requested and as I began leaving a message as to what I had been told by LG, the LG executive services lady hung up on me. She was able to hear me leaving this message as I was using a separate phone line. So, this morning I called the authorized agent and told them what I had been told (that they had no availability) and I was told that simply was not true. So, I called LG back and this time I was told by the authorized agent I spoke with didnt have an open contract with them and they couldnt be assigned to me. Finally, the truth! In other words, they didnt have a negotiated rate with LG, much like it is with HMO Insurance. At any rate, he contacted the authorized to see if they would agree to make my repair with just an order # and they agreed they would, however, LG has to send them the amount they are willing to pay and if the authorized agent agrees to it they will do the repair and if not, we are back to square one. So, they have till Monday (6/8) to get back with me however, they will only be contacting me if its a go. If not, I have to call them back and start all over. I have a feeling I will be calling them back to start at square one. LIFE certainly isnt GOOD! I purchased this machine based on Consumer Reports testing and we were just about to buy an LG Smart TV and soundbar because they also have a very high rating. But there is no way we are going to based solely on the fact that they have horrible customer service!

At 9:30 am we received a call from Home Depot asking if we had received a call from LG with our delivery time? We answered, no, we had not, and Home Depot staff said he would call LG to see when it was coming. Several hours later with no return call from anyone I called Home Depot (2:30 pm), only to be told that our products were out of stock and would now not be delivered until Feb 4, 2014. So upset over taking a day off and not even the smallest of respect for LG to call and inform us that our products were not coming, we wait until the next date. For Feb 4th comes and again my husband takes the day off work to await the delivery (surely if it was not coming today LG would have called to inform us). By 11 am we heard nothing so I placed a call to LG myself. It was at this time I was given the run around. I asked her if it was customary for them to not call their clients to inform them that their delivery is not coming. She told me it was Home Depots responsibility (I spoke with Home Depot and the told me it was their responsibility). I explained that I felt that was horrible customer service to not provide common courtesy. I let her know that it cost us money to stay at home for the 2 days and they couldnt pick up the phone. The customer services lady could not help me and when I asked to speak to a manager the manager would not take my call and instead gave me the number to call the delivery department. It was then I spoke with them and was told that it wasnt coming today either and had no idea when it was coming. Eventually we found out another delivery date of Feb 12. I wonder if I will ever get the items I paid for??

We purchased an LG fridge in November. Soon we noticed water puddling on top of the freezer door (bottom freezer model). Then we noticed that the water was freezing on the outside of the ice maker bucket, and that the ice cubes were melting then freezing together. When we used a blowdryer to melt some of the ice so we could remove the ice bucket, the melted water ran out, not from the dispenser as we would expect, but from all the seams in the door. On February 9th, I sent in a repair request. The provider I was given (which took a couple of days to receive) was unprofessional and after giving my address, told me they had no availability in my area and to find someone else and hung up. On February 14th, I received two more service providers contact info. One of them never answered my repeated calls. The other one informed me that they only serviced a neighboring county. Around February 21, I received another service providers contact info, and a service appointment was set up for March 1, between 8 am and noon. I took the morning off work. When the technician had not arrived by 12:30, I called the service provider who said they would contact the technician and get back to me. I was called back in a few minutes and was told the technician was stuck in traffic and would be at my home by 1 pm. At 1:15, he had still not arrived and I called the service again. She said she would call him again and get back to me. This time when she called back, she said he did not answer his phone and she that she left him a voicemail. When he finally showed up, around 2:30, he said that he had been running a little behind. After looking at the ice maker, he told me this was a common problem with this model of fridge and we would need a whole new door, which might or might not fix the problem, and someone would be in touch with me within 24 hours to set up an installation date and time. Nine days later, I got the call and an appointment was scheduled for March 13th, again between 8 am and noon. Again, I took the morning off work. Again, the technician did not arrive till after 2 pm. He did install a new door, said we were all set and left. And now the ice maker does not work at all. So far, Ive missed two days work, dealt with 4 incompetent and unprofessional service providers authorized by LG. Ive read many reviews praising LG products, but frankly all the reviews for their customer service are very negative (wishing we had checked those out and not just the product reviews when we purchased the appliances in November).

We purchased a LG 3 door fridge with ice and water two years ago. Did some updating in the kitchen and decided it would be nice to have one last new one... The one we replaced it with was a 25+ year old side by side GE... Still worked fine, never did a repair to it, but this LG was so pretty.. All electronic computerized.. Almost two years to the day we got it, it has died taking everything stored in it with it? This is so disheartening for retired people that just want one last nice thing in their lives... I bought a new LG washer and Dryer, and a new 70 inch LG tv... Praying these don’t go out like the fridge! Be cautious about buying an LG!

WM2050 CW - After reading all the concerns and complaints from other customers, I must say that I have very similar problems with this machine. First, the smell of clothes and the permanent stench that this washer has is nauseating. Second, the machine started leaking from the bottom about a month ago. We thought it was the bottom filter that needed cleaning so my wife and I cleaned it periodically thereafter. That did not stop the leak. Today we pulled machine out of wash room to outside wood deck and propped it up on wood rafters so that I could get under it and examine origin of leak. It appears to be the door boot seal, which I intend to replace myself after I order it from Amazon ($70). I will update this review as I install and use machine with new part. Just like other reviewers, though, I would not buy another LG washer or dryer, not will I buy a front-loading machine.

I have had nothing but trouble with the LG Dryer #DLGX3571 which I purchase
I have had nothing but trouble with the LG Dryer #DLGX3571 which I purchased in August of 2015. Weve already had service on it once before and now are in need of service again due to no heat in the dryer. My husband notified LG of the problem, the fact that we have an LG Premium Care extended warranty and that the problem was that the ignition was not working. My husband was told that the earliest day for service was today which is 6 days later. Today the technician arrived and confirmed that the problem was the ignition but DID NOT HAVE THE PART!!! Worse still, the part cannot be obtained until next week and then we will have to schedule ANOTHER SERVICE DATE! So we will be without the dryer for at least two weeks. I find this unreasonable and unacceptable. In addition to the present problem, I have found that only two of the dryer settings are useful - the manual setting and the air dry setting. On the steam cycle settings, clothes finish in the same condition or even more wrinkled than they are using the manual setting. The cycles do absolutely nothing in terms of removing wrinkles. In fact, in my experience, clothes are more wrinkled at the end of the steam fresh cycle than they were at the beginning. This dryer is expensive and I could have bought a simple dryer without the cycles (which do not work as claimed) that would have been much less expensive, provided the same drying quality and probably would have been broken less often. I am convinced that if you purchase this product you will be greatly disappointed in its performance.

I purchased washer and dryer (LG waveforce topload) from Home Depot last year and making such a big purchase was quite scary. I could not more disappointed!! As I write I am going into 3 hours on 1 load of towels and a few baby items! Seems like every other load will constantly give me the UE code during spinning, doesnt matter how many times you adjust your clothes. I mean who really has time to stand there for over 3 hours adjusting clothes! This is insane! I have had servicemen from Home Depot come out 3 times over the last year and NOTHING has changed. By reading the other reviews I see I am not the only one, which brings little comfort as I pull my hair out and pack my other bedding to go to Laundromat so I can go on with my day. Shame on you LG for deceiving us public in not only thinking we were getting a good product but also saying its energy efficient and for wasting my money and another day off!!!!

We got our LG refrigerator about three years ago. I was very surprise when my wife said it stop working. We called LG and was told it would be $125 for a servicecall, plus labor. They sent a compressor out that morning before the service man got there. In talking with the guy he said they knew it was the compressor. It would $225 to fixed. He said he did three a day. The company know this is a problem.

Wave top load washer - When I first got the washing machine it bounced all over the place so the LG tech said it needed a level platform. Got it a level platform then the recall came since then. Every load gives a UE code and keeps putting water in and trying to run through so this is not efficient at all. Its using more water than the old machines. The bleach holder is rusting out but cant be fixed because LG says thats cosmetic. I believe thats poor quality when so many people have this problem almost 2000 for washer and dryer and I would truly love to get my old machines back, ugly, mismatched, but worked much better and my clothes didnt stink.

After having several service calls on my LG washer and dryer and dealing unsuccessfully with the Executive Services Department at LG, we have filed a claim with the Pennsylvania Attorney Generals Office and would encourage others who are experiencing issues with their LG equipment to do the same. As this blog is a great way to relieve some stress, it is not going to provide any long-term relief to us consumers experiencing issues with LG products. It is truly time to let our elected officials perform their duties on our behalf.

We own a lot of LG products so when we were in the market for a new stove, we went straight to the LG section. Well my burner on my range wont turn off. I called LG and they told me my model was on recall and they were aware of the problem. The tech came out and said he had to order the part. Then after spending way too much time on hold (One guy didnt even put me on hold, he put me on mute for 20 minutes!!!), they told me my range was not on the recall list!!! So I would be responsible for the parts and labor!! I then spoke to the supervisor who basically told me there was nothing she could do. So what am I supposed to do with this defected stove... leave the burner on and burn down my house? Not only that the number they gave me for the tech was no longer in service, I had to Google the company myself and provided LG with the correct number... For that alone they should fix my stove! So I will be contacting the better business bureau ...Heres the real kicker, Im hosting Thanksgiving dinner at my house!!! LG stands for Lousy Grinches! They stole my Thanksgiving. Maybe Santa will bring me a real stove... by Maytag.

LG LMV1680ST - We bought this range hood/microwave 1 1/2 to 2 yrs ago from (I believe) Home Depot and didnt have any extended warranty, so we arent looking to have it replaced or fixed. Yes its VERY loud, its cheaply constructed of plastic and like so many others, the handle broke and the frame cracked on the top corner. We are going to get a normal range hood and bring my Panasonic Inverter (7 yrs old counter top version) up from down stairs. We just want to inform the consumer of a serious defect. Last night, my daughter made popcorn and when it was done, she pulled it out closed the door and walked away. I had the useless fan running because I was baking so she didnt hear that, when she closed the door, it was still running. Probably 10 to 15 mins later, my niece noticed flashes of light coming from the inside and smoke from underneath. My husband had to run downstairs and flip the circuit to turn it off. Not a good thing at all, when your daughter opens the door and it continues to run and doesnt trip the circuit on its own. Ive included pics but in case they dont post, the glass turntable actually started to melt, there are burn marks on the bottom, inside the microwave and the plastic turntable wheels are melted to the bottom. On the outside underneath the micro, there are also god awful burns. Its frightening to think of what would have happened if it started on its own and no one was home. I havent read all the reviews on your site, but there are many others that have had this problem and reported on other review sites. I just need to get the word out about this very DANGEROUS flaw.

Bought 2 LG French door refrigerators in January 2017. Paid about 3 grand each. April 2019 1 of the fridges stopped cooling. Called LG. Repairman came out and said compressor not working. He returned a week later. Replaced compressor. 4 days later not cooling again. Everything melted, water on wood floors. He said motherboard not working. Waited 1 week with a broken fridge and motherboard replaced. 4 days later found water on ground again. Everything melted. Called again and said will change out compressor again. Need to wait 1 week again. 4 days later broken again which is tonight. This should be illegal. Are they going to do this for next couple of yrs until warranty is expired? In meantime we have to suffer with a broken fridge every week? Anyone with suggestions on how to approach? I wrote complaint to BBB also. Now we have to call LG tomorrow to get repairman out again. This will be 4th visit for same problem.

I sometimes go to prepare meals for our families & I like how fast it cooks & a big plus for easy cleanup. I plan to buy a LG range for my kitchen in the very near future.

Well, we are now scheduled for the 13th time for a certified LG tech to come look at my washer that doesnt work. This is the replacement machine for the first one that didnt work. After several calls to LGs 800 #, I was transferred to Robert in the executive call center (ha ha). At least he spoke English. He acted like he was concerned about the problem I was having and was going to help get it resolved. He talked to their techs, called the local service company, claimed to have had parts sent out and a service appointment scheduled. I was to receive a call when the parts arrived (2-3 days) to schedule a time that would be convenient for me (ha ha). Well, its been 4 days and no call, so I called the local service company and they had received nothing from LG. They had a call but nothing had been scheduled, no parts sent, and no authorization for service. Surprise, surprise, surprise!I called LG again, asked for Robert, and instead I got some silly girl that did not have a clue. I insisted that I wanted to speak to Robert and was finally transferred to him. I am not sure if it was the person I spoke with before but this time it was a new story. No parts were being ordered. They would have the tech come look at the machine and go from there. So it will be another week with a broken washing machine. It took 6 hours to do 2 loads of laundry. The machine continues to think it had an unbalanced load and fill to the top with water. Never really washes clothes, just fills, jiggles and few minutes, drains and starts over. Definitely energy efficient!

Open till recently I was very happy with my LG refrigerator. Unit has always been great. Do you want to half years after me owning your own at the compressor went bad. I was very happy to hear that LG would replace it free of charge however I was not thrilled that it took so long to get a service appointment. I was almost a week without a refrigerator. Repair technicians came in. That’s where the real trouble started. The first time they said they didn’t have the right parts and it didn’t work so they left the refrigerator off for a number of days again while they were could get the right stuff to Complete the job. About a day after my refrigerator which finally running I called the repair company directly and told them that the unit was making load noise and vibrating. All my drinks were moving around on shelf but nonetheless I was happy to have a refrigerator again. Now it’s been 4 weeks with multiple phone calls to the repair company with no response to come out and rectify the issue. So now I turn back to LG to complain and to finally try to get someone out to fix this thing. An exceedingly long and painful process.

I wanted to let everyone know that there is a class action lawsuit for the refrigerators with the light not going out. It has been settled. Our four-year-old refrigerator (LG Refrigerator Model No. LCF25760SW with French doors) is having ice maker problems too. There are no repairmen in our area. It leaked water out into the floor while we were at work and caused floor damage. I ordered another ice maker from someone that LG recommended. It still has problems. Home Depot is where I bought it, but I cant get them to give me a repairmans phone number either. I will never ever buy another LG product again as long as I live. If you live in the middle of nowhere, dont buy LG products! They are not worth the price at all or the trouble.

LG gas stove LRG30355ST - I bought the stove model above in April of 2007. Fifteen months after, the middle knob broke. I called LG to ask for a replacement. I was hoping that they would accommodate my request since it was only 3 months after my stove was a year old. Well, LG was very cold and told me to purchase one which was then $75. To this day, my stove is missing a knob. One other knob is also very loose that a slight nudge will turn on the gas without turning on the flame. I have to keep checking that the knobs are all in off position. The burner caps are also an issue. After two years, they are chipping off here and there but usable. I did not bother to call LG after the cold response in 2008. This LG gas stove model is a piece of junk and the knobs are a safety hazard.

Updated on 06/24/2021: A lot has happened behind the scenes since I made the first post. LG stepped in and offered to set the situation right, so I gave them the opportunity to do so. As you will read here, not only did they fail to make things right, they ended up making it worse. I warn you now, it is not a short read. March 30-Must have gotten someone’s attention. An unidentified person (this is a trend) PMed me via Consumer Affairs (CA) and offered to address the situation. They asked for some info, including billing address for the original purchase. I gave info and waited.April 2- Offer to repair machine at their expense is forwarded to me through CA by an unidentified person. I agree to offer. Sometime after this point, LG orders 2 replacement parts, a new main control board and a display board. I am not sure why the control board was ordered, as it was obvious the display board was the problem. The display board is the problem on every one of these machines.April 6-I get a notification by text from a random number (never identified) informing me that I recently scheduled service for my machine to be performed on April 8. Only problem is, I didn’t schedule service. Someone from LG (never identified) took it upon themselves to schedule this service without consulting me as to whether this was an acceptable time. The text number this was sent from could not receive return calls or texts, and no contact information was available to reach out about this scheduled appointment. After some digging around on the LG site, I figured out that the service was indeed scheduled, and also found out at this time that the above-mentioned parts had been ordered (one part was on backorder) and shipped to the billing address I originally gave on CA. Only problem with this is that the machine is not at the billing address, therefore both the parts and the service tech were heading to the wrong address. If someone had contacted me when the appointment was made, I could have given the correct address. If some useable contact information was made available to me, or if anyone in this process so far had identified themselves, I could have shared the situation with the incorrect address. But none of those things had happened. I share this latest update with the unidentified PM contact on CA.April 7- A box arrives from LG. I open it to find a new control board. Not the display (the part that is actually broken) but the other random part. Turns out that the display board is on national backorder. Not surprising since the OEM display boards have a 100% failure rate. With every single unit of this model needing this part replaced, demand is clearly high.April 8-Tech Visit #1. The service technician calls me to tell me he is 10 minutes away. I then tell him that he is 10 minutes away from the wrong address. He finally gets to the machine (I was able to be there), swaps out the mainboard, figures out mainboard is not the problem. I knew this already. So did the tech before even doing the job. Once he determined the main board was not the problem, he swapped the original board back into the machine and left, planning to return when the display board arrived. Since the mainboard did not appear bad, he returned the new mainboard to LG. This would prove to be a regretful decision.April 13- New display board arrives. I contact service tech and he schedules the next day to come install it. April 14-Tech shows up for Visit #2 (the fact I am giving numerical designations to tech visits should tell you something) and installs display board. I am not at the house this time, or much of the remaining catastrophe would likely have been avoided. According to my wife, he swapped out the board, hit the power button to see it power up, packed up his stuff and left. He did no function check or system diagnosis whatsoever, just looked for the lights to power up. He also went into the LG service system and reported the repair job complete. It was not, and the fact that he did report it as such would create problems down the road. After tech leaves, wife loads machine and tries to run it. After about a minute, it shut down and gave an error code indicating no water flow. I get home and check water supply to make sure that we didn’t have that turned off. I will also mention at this time that I have degrees in both electronic and mechanical engineering, and have been working as a design engineer and troubleshooting technician for electro-mechanical systems over 30 years. So I was able to deduce that we had sufficient water flow, but the electric water valve in the machine was not turning on. I contacted the tech, and he informed me he would come by the next day and check it out.April 15- Tech comes back for Visit #3. During this visit I learned the tech was a refrigeration expert, and had limited experience with dishwashers. He was competent, just not that experienced with LG dishwashers. He figures out that he had plugged something together incorrectly. I am not clear whether this mistake was made during Visit #1 and the incorrect connection was made at the mainboard, or during Visit #2 and the incorrect connection was made at the display board. I suspect it was #1 and the problem was at the mainboard because one of the connectors he attached incorrectly was to the main water valve, thus the valve did not work, as I had identified. Wherever the problem, he swapped the connectors around, ran a diagnostic, declared it good, and left again. When we powered up the machine I could hear the water valve now working, but after about a minute, the same error code and shutdown occurred.April 15 Part 2-The tech comes back that night for Visit #4 (told you we needed numbering). I am there, and we spend quite a bit of time checking out the machine. I teach him a few things about how the systems operate, and using some of my electronic testing equipment we figure out that the system is not seeing a signal from the water flow sensor. Hoping sensor might be bad, the tech ordered a replacement sensor.April 20-Tech got part, and stops by for Visit #5. Flow sensor not the problem. He spends over 2 hours of troubleshooting, including 2 calls to the service center for technical support. They go through everything, including checking the wiring harness. Nothing bad with wiring, but the mainboard is not supplying power to the sensor. It was never admitted to me, but I will bet a month’s pay that when he incorrectly connected the plugs in Visit #1 or #2, the sensor power supply on the mainboard was damaged. If he had not already sent back the new mainboard (remember I said this would be a regretful decision?) he could have swapped in the new board and likely fixed the problem. But he didn’t have the parts, and he was eventually told by the Service Center to stop attempting repair and RMA the machine.April 21- An unidentified person contacted me by text to inform me that the Alternate Resolution claim was started. But I should be prepared for it to be denied because the computer system says that all parts are functional. Remember the tech incorrectly reporting the machine repaired after Visit #2? An explanation by myself containing actual factual information and logic did nothing to change the response.April 23- I receive a phone call from LG asking about how I rated the service I had received in early April. Because the tech had reported he completed the repair, the gentleman calling me had no idea the job was botched, and he wanted to know how I rated my service experience on my freshly-repaired and perfectly-operating LG dishwasher. I don’t think he was very fond of my answers.May 1- Received voice mail from someone at LG telling me I was to be offered a bit over $500 for my permanently broken $1k machine. It further instructed me to contact Shakiah M about payout. May 5-When I talk to Shakiah, I’m told the actual number offered is even less. After several back and forth discussions on both text message and email, I agree to accept the offer, as long as there is no legally-binding contract included. I am assured there is not.Side note: It’s bad enough that almost no one from LG ever identifies themselves, but I am even more amazed by the amount of correspondence throughout this process done by text message on a cell phone. Is this what we call professional corporate behavior in 2021? Text messages? What are we, high-schoolers? May 28- Finally get a written offer. And that assurance there is no legally-binding component to the offer? Not true. I must waive off all rights to pursue further action if I accept this offer.Let’s recap: I started this process with a top-shelf machine with a single defective part. A $200 replacement part and 15 minutes of effort to install this part would have fixed my machine. But thanks to the mistake made by the service tech, I now have a junk machine. And what is the offer from LG after three months of hassle to fix all of this? Half what it will cost to replace it. Now I have a choice. LG is so in breach of contract here (not the warranty, BTW) that I will almost assuredly win in court. But small claims court is a hassle. I have tried to give LG the opportunity to make this right, and they continue to fail me, and will no longer even respond to me.30 day deadline to accept offer is June 27, three days from now. If LG really wants to make this right, then they need to do something better than half replacement cost for a machine THEY BROKE. If not, looks like I will see them in court. And I won’t be suing for just the cost of the machine. Punitive damages will be added on as well, and I have high confidence in my case and my ability to present it. I have been an expert witness in court proceedings several times, so court does not faze me. I don’t want the hassle of it, but I won’t be treated as a pushover either. This is LG’s mistake, LG needs to fix it with a reasonable offer.Original Review: We bought an LG LDP6797BD dishwasher in 2018, with the intentions of putting it in our house being remodeled. We used it in our rental home for about 8-10 months before removing it from service and putting it in storage. It never got installed in the house, so after sitting for 2 years, we pulled it out of storage and put it in another rental property where it has worked flawlessly for 5 months. Now after a total service life of 13-15 months, we walk in the kitchen one day to find it dead. Wont power up, wont light up, wont reset. Looking at a few videos, I picked up a line filter. Not the problem. In fact, once I had it apart to change the line filter, I could see the red LED lighting on the board. So clearly it has power. Then after some more research, I find the web full of similar complaints. The number of purchasers with failures occurring, conveniently almost immediately after the end of their one-year warranty, is simply staggering. The Amazon listing for this dishwasher has 100% 1-Star ratings. Let that sink in. 100% 1-star ratings, I have never seen that on ANYTHING in my life. And especially not on an item that costs $1000. This design clearly has a significant design flaw somewhere. The number of instances of identical failure occurring within a span of 12-16 months of service life is not a coincidence, and this statement is coming from a highly-experienced engineer with 3 decades of experience in design and manufacture of electro-mechanical systems. I know better than to believe that any manufacturer can take products to market and NEVER make a mistake in the design cycle. But what that manufacturer chooses to do about it when mistakes happen is what defines a company. This machine has a major design flaw, LG knows it, and apparently has chosen to do nothing about it. And I guess they have a right to not do anything about it. Well, I have a right to do something about it as well. If LG continues to leave customers like myself that spent quite a bit of money on a clearly defective product, then it will be the last of my money LG will ever see. And I will go out of my way, every chance I get, to encourage as many people as possible to also not ever spend THEIR money on an LG product. This is site number 2 for the day, I wonder how many more times I can tell this story before the weekend is over?If LG believes that not addressing this issue will save them money, I can assure you it will not. They will lose far more money from me alone than what it would cost them to make this right with me. Add to that lost revenue the amount of money they will lose with all the people I convince to not ever buy LG as well, and this will quickly become an expensive mistake many, many times over what it would take to fix it. If everyone else being screwed does the same, we can make a statement that LG simply will not be able to ignore. LG, the ball is in your court.

Had this LG direct drive 9 kg washing machine for 18 months now and its been a pain, had an engineer out once, called customer services twice lately and after saying someone would get back to me in 48hrs Im still waiting, that was 2 weeks ago! Machine is extremely sensitive, stops midway through a wash saying it has an uneven load when there is a small jacket in it! You also have 2 to drain the tub manually after it stops, all in all I would never recommend anyone buy this machine as its been a nightmare and LG customer services are just as bad???

We purchased an LG inverter direct drive washing machine four years ago, there seems to be some sort of ash looking material on our clothing after the first year. Today the agitator bolts snapped in half and the large circular agitator in the bottom of the washing machine came off. I pulled out the agitator since it was broken and underneath was a ton of ash looking junk and gunk. Horrible product. Do not purchase. Very unhappy. I have to buy a different washing machine today because this one broke and it is horrible.

Bought the LG LFC24786st from Sears exactly 3 years ago this week. At the 1 1/2 year point the motherboard and fan needed replacing. Really WTF, a year and a half. Oh well, it was under warranty. Yesterday it happens again. Right now the fridge is sitting at 54 degrees, the freezer is warmer because we had to remove everything. Really now, 2 motherboards in three years plus the Sears extended warranty is no longer any good because of the closing even though I still have 2 years left. This is really looking like LG Lemon fridges are not the way to go. I see from above that its not so much a model of the fridge but the make that keeps breaking. Ill tell you something, this is hitting the internet big time. Im frustrated, pissed off, and right now... fridgeless.

Purchased an LG fridge model LFX29945ST from our local Home Depot. Weve had this fridge for almost 2 yrs now but we have had a number of issues after the first year of owning this POS. First issue is the annoying high pitch noise that comes from the compressor at times. Called Tech support and was told that our Fridge was not leveled and was most likely the cause of the issue. Our fridge is perfectly leveled and our house is only 2 yrs old with a perfectly leveled floor. Second issue is the lower freezer door will not close all the way at times due to ice building up on the tracks for the Freezer Door not allowing the door to seal the Freezer completely. I occasionally have to chip the ice away so the freezer door will close all the way so our food does not thaw out in the freezer. The last and final issue that weve had with this fridge, is at the bottom of the control panel next to the water and ice dispenser one day just started discoloring and peeling and now our fridge looks worse than our previous fridge that was 6 yrs old. I expected better quality for the price and wish I never bought this Fridge at all. DO NOT BUY!!

I am updating my review to state that I contacted LG by email thru their website, asking if there are any snap in times to utilize the bottom rack more efficiently and keep smaller items from falling through. I have not received any response from LG, and on reading similar reviews on the other brands I had contemplated, I would just be costing myself more money for the same issues, plus another installation fee since. At least I purchased this dishwasher on a good sale. Sadly I concede and no longer will enjoy the challenge of easily cramming three days of dishes and miscellaneous items into my dishwasher.

I purchased a brand new house not even a year ago. I was beyond excited that NEW LG appliances will be included with the house. Little did I know. My first issue was that the ice machine did not make ice. Next my refrigerator started defrosting all my food in the freezer component. Thankfully I had a full warranty. I was wrong, no one in Customer Service nor executive services wanted to help. They pretty much left me to deal with this issue alone, 4 technicians later my fridge is still not fixed. LG is a horrible company and word has to get out!

I originally chose LG because of the price but over time it became a great brand that was totally worth it. I was expecting much less from LG but they far surpassed my expectations. I like the ice maker and smartphone functionality, its pretty nice. I can connect it to my phone, play music on it, pour the water to almost any temperature nearly instantly, open sections without touching it, and more. I like all of it, my refrigerator has so much functionality I couldnt imagine switching to anything else, except maybe the Samsung one. The price was good. The overall fridge is just perfect.

LG: my advice is don’t buy any of their products. 5 weeks ago my $3000 fridge stopped cooling. I had a local company out here, they determined that the linear compressor has to replaced, like most of them after just a few years. Called LG June 14th., filed a warranty claim and got confirmed the part would ship in 2-3 weeks. Coming back from Europe last week no part, no correspondence. Called last Thursday and a lady in their customer service center confirmed my order but told me it was not processed. She would expedite and call me back on Monday. Again nothing happened. 1st call today I was forwarded to their external part warehouse provider who didn’t have any information. Asked for supervisor, got connected but he refused to take care of the warranty part and insisted to send another technician to my home, but can’t guarantee that he has the part. In the meantime I bought a 2nd fridge and put it in my garage. You buy an expensive, presumingly high end product at a premium price that fails premature, service is nonexistent, warranty is not honored and spend 2 hours on the phone.

I purchased a top of the line LG Dryer from Lowes. Full retail is close to $1,000.00; yet this is one of the worst dryers I have ever owned. For starters the lint filter is horribly designed as it leaks massive amount of lint into the innards of the machine. Eventually I was able to install soft foam weather strip into the groove of the machine and get the lint leak stopped, but the fact of the matter is its very poor at drying clothes. The only setting that will actually get the clothes dry is timed drying. All the other settings are worthless as they shut the machine down before the clothes are actually dry. The reality is this machine is barely an automatic clothes dryer. Its just a timed dryer with an assortment of settings that are essentially useless. My 52 year old Maytag which was still working when I replaced it with this LG was a better machine. It had a better filter, and actually dried the clothes with a cool-down end cycle. I dont know what washers or dryers to buy, but the only thing good about LG is how they look on the showroom floor. Their actual mechanical design and performance is horrible.

Then the compressor had went out after less than 4 years. The authorized service shop for northern Utah is Mark-A-Newt. They will not work on a LG fridge anymore. They said that in the last year they have only been paid once for the work they have done for LG, and they dont know of anyone who will work on them. They advised us not to buy another one. Buyer beware!!! LG Appliances are horrible!!! I recently remodeled my whole kitchen and liked the way the black stainless steel appliances looked. I’m usually a Maytag fan but they didn’t carry the black stainless steel so I went with LG. HUGE mistake!!! The dishwasher is junk in less than 3 months. The dishwasher needed a whole new power board. After dealing with customer service and getting the runaround I finally had my dishwasher fixed after 3 weeks of non use. Now here it is 6 months later I’m having the same problem. This time customer service is worse. They sent the work order to 3 different places that don’t come to my area, spent hours on the phone and I’m already 2 weeks without a dishwasher and still dealing with this problem. This is a thousand dollar hunk of junk! That’s not the only problem the 3rd rack is useless, it doesn’t dry your dishes, it takes 2 hours to complete a load and everything is still wet, the tines are flimsy and always fall over causing you to break dishes at times, it’s always humid inside the dishwasher that creates an odor all the time and I pre rinse my dishes and clean the trap regularly. I have nothing nice to say about it except that it’s nice to look at and it’s quiet. Especially now because it doesn’t work! If you value the opinion of others and the reviews you read do not buy LG! I’m already Experiencing problems with my stove and my fridge has dents in it from just regular use. It’s like it’s made out of putty you look at it and it dents. LG should stick to making TVs. I’m highly disappointed and can’t wait to replace all of my appliances with Maytag!

We have the LG model LDG4315BD. It has been installed less than a month and we have had several gas leaks that were found once the strong smell of gas filled the room. We have had at least 9 almost fires or burns of people. We have the set which included the microwave that mounts over it. We look ridiculous trying to use the microwave without accidentally touching the stove. The knobs turn easily without needing to be pushed in. A person just walking by and barely touching them sets the gas free. LG will only give us the exact same model stove, not a refund.

I purchased a higher end LG double oven gas range. It is made poorly using cheap and thin material. They used a silver film for the knobs to give the appearance of stainless steel. I didn’t even realize a metal looking film was used on the knobs until it started bubbling after a few uses. A year and a half later the bottom oven displays an F19 code. An LG technician replaced the harness and the ignition. 2 years later the exact same issue happens. I contacted LG and they do offer warranties for faulty products. Their products are awful especially for what you pay. There are so many other brands who provide quality products at a reasonable price and stand behind their products. I will never purchase LG products again and DO NOT RECOMMEND their products especially their ranges, refrigerators and dishwashers. They all begin to have issues and fall apart within 2 years and you will have to keep having them repaired around every 2 years.

One week later the dryer sparked flames over to the washer twice causing burns on the sides of both machines. I have talked to multiple people and supervisors with no resolve. We purchased a matching LG Tromm washer and dryer (front loading), approximately three years ago. For at least the past two years we have had a terrible time with clothes smelling sour and mildewy after being washed. Subsequent researched turned up countless complaints about this same problem. Weve tried many fixes some of which seemed to help a little, but the problem would always returned. The dryer unit started making a terrible thumping sound after about two years of use. I still do not know exactly why this is occurring. Some of what I read suggested it was the silicone wheels that get warped from the heat. Other posts indicate it is a problem with a crack in the barrel. My biggest issue at this point with the dryer is that it has never dried the clothes very well. I routinely have to run two or more cycles to get the clothes dry, especially things like jeans and towels. In addition, this morning I noticed that the dryer actually stops before the end of the cycle. I had it set for 1:43 Anti-bacterial setting (ironically to help with the smell from the washer), but the dryer cut off after only 30 minutes.Considering how much we paid for these items, it is very upsetting and frustrating. I have not contacted LG, in part because so many have done so to no avail and I dont have time to waste on such useless attempts.

Our refrigerator’s compressor stopped working a little over 3 weeks ago. I have called LG numerous times to try and get an answer to see if they’ll fix. It’s still under warranty. Because of Covid-19, they can’t find any service person in my area. The last person I talked to on the phone told me that because I don’t have my sales receipt that there’s not they can do for me. This fridge was purchased over 9 years ago. And he said “well whatever“ as if he didn’t care to hear my side. Kept talking over me and also my wife who was trying to explain herself. What truly upset us both was the lack of professionalism and the fact that I’ve had to contact lg every time to get an answer. An email was promised last week and. Not until today Monday May 11, 2020 was the email sent after the person I spoke with told me that they would be sending it!!!! Basically I don’t recommend any lg products to anyone. 2 1/2 years ago, I replaced all my kitchen appliances with brand new LG kitchen appliances. About 3 weeks ago, I noticed the refrigerator was not as cold as it should be so I tried to lower the temperature but the inside temperature did not change (50 degrees). I tried to contact someone to come out but nobody seems to service LG appliances (one company said they stopped serving LG about a year ago due to contractual issues). I called LG, they gave me the name and number of 2 companies that are “near” me. I called them and they do not service my area. LG said to have someone local come out and “diagnose“ then we can call them (LG) and they will “authorize” them father warranty work. Again, nobody wants to work on LG...I did schedule service with Sears, their earliest appointment was a week out. I scheduled the appointment, the day of scheduled appointment, they called to cancel due to tech being sick, rescheduled for the following week ...day of 2nd scheduled appointment, (today) another phone call canceling due to tech had “family emergency”....rescheduled for SEPTEMBER 10th!!! I called LG again and they have nothing to tell me other than their “customer service“ will call in 3-5 business days. I thought I was talking to customer service! I have never had such a problem to get something repaired. I am approaching a holiday weekend without a properly working refrigerator!!! Point is DO NOT BUY LG BECAUSE NOBODY WILL SERVICE THE APPLIANCES!!!

We bought an LG Refrigerator 4 years ago. The compressor recently failed. We were astonished to learn that it would take 3 weeks before it could be repaired. However, it got much worse. A few days before the scheduled repair, we were notified the repair would be delayed another week. Then on the day of the newly scheduled repair the repair technician called in sick. We were delayed another day. The next day the technician went to the wrong address. The repair was delayed another 2 weeks. At the next repair date a tech finally showed up at our house, only to inform us that LG shipped us a generic compressor and he had not been provided the tools to install this generic compressor. The next available appointment for a tech with the appropriate tools is 3 weeks away. The tech also informed us that he couldnt even guarantee that the compressor would fix the problem and we might be back in the same boat in a matter of weeks or months. I will never buy another LG product. After being without a refrigerator for over 2 months, we are likely to just go buy a new refrigerator at this point. I bought this dishwasher in January 2015 and it has been a nightmare since I have had it. While under warranty LG had 5 different people out to fix it. I have not been able to use this dishwasher more than able to use it. I paid approximately $800.00 for this dishwasher and the one I had when I lived at an apartment was 100x better than this. Didnt clean well... ALWAYS problems with it. LG would not replace, kept fixing issues with it. I had to have the motor replaced, door replaced, dish soap dispenser replaced 2x, steam vent replaced, hoses replaced, seals replaced and it has been a lemon since day one. Again, last night after having yet another repairman out and only repaired about a couple of weeks ago, it breaks again and wont even come on. Seriously, what a piece of junk. Will never purchase another LG product again. Went out this morning and purchased another dishwasher. The LG is now out of warranty. Oh, and also one of the repairman told me that LG should just replace it and guess what, never heard from that repairman again. They said his work was not up to par... Horrendous Experience! On 7/13 I reported that twenty expensive Brooks Brothers non-iron shirts were destroyed due to the fault of the lint filter of this dryer. The shape of the filter was not manufactured properly and did not remain in place. As a result, pockets, sleeves, button holes and collars of twenty shirts in a load were ruined. I immediately contacted LG customer service and spoke to someone about this event. They offered to mail a new lint catch and then said that I would have to complete a full report of the incident. A follow up email arrived to me with a claim form that I submitted on 7/20.I completed the form in full and also took detailed photos of every shirt and the damage caused. I had heard nothing back at all for two months until on 9/3 when I began to submit daily written complaints via the LG website complaint portal. Finally on 10/5, another representative contacted me via e-mail and asked me to once again forward my claim for and all of the photos of the damage. After review, the representative said that the most they would offer was a reimbursement of $250.00. I sent examples of the current value from the Brooks Brothers website, segregated the shirts for physical inspection and was informed that I would need the original receipt for each one in order for the reimbursement to be reconsidered.A collection of twenty shirts bought over a series of time that were not defective prior to their placement in this dryer would have had no reason to have receipts available. I offered to have them viewed in person and made between 3-4 photos of each shirt as described, showing their tags and damage! Brooks Brothers shirts are quality and time tested to last because they are made properly; quite unlike this dryer! I have yet to get any response to my dissatisfaction for this companys resolution. I did, however, receive this e-mail from 12/21 that had the gall to offer me $500.00 for having completed this survey. My loss of value due to the shirt damage was in excess of $2800.00!! This company has a terrible amount of nerve and complete lack of concern for the customer experience as a whole. This dryer is an abomination and I am sorry that I ever decided to purchase it. Your company should be ashamed of itself for all of the aggravation that I have been put through for this incident...never mind the financial loss!

I purchased an LG washer/dryer pair from Lowes in Glendale, AZ the week before Labor Day, 2014. Install occurred about 10 days later, because the item wasnt in stock. Washer was front loader, Dryer is gas. Dryer is fine. Washer (Model WM3570H*A) began leaking within 4 days - first a little, then a lot. Called Lowe; they sent out a technician to observe the unit in cycle. Didnt find a leak. Next day, starts leaking again. Call Lowes and demand a replacement. To their credit, they send a Maytag loaner unit out while they take the LG back to figure out what is going wrong. I had the loaner for about 6 weeks - apparently they had to mine the ore to make the steel to make the machine. My replacement unit arrived yesterday, 10/22/2014, nearly 2 MONTHS after the original purchase. Washing load number 3 following new install, the floor is covered with about a quart of water. No leak from the front - it is coming from under the body of the washer somewhere. So tomorrow, I will call them to take the machines back, refund my money, and go elsewhere to purchase a reliable washer/dryer pair. The rating sites online have this all wrong - LG sucks!!!

I bought an LG dishwasher 3 years ago. Read reviews I could find at the time. They werent the top of the line but they were reviewed better than middle of the road. I wanted it to be quiet and clean my dishes well. That lasted about 6 months, called them and they told me that all dishwashers make noise. I asked them why the dishes werent drying completely, they told me the inside of a dishwasher is always going to leave some moisture on the dishes. Really, that was their answer. Quit draining this week, well thats not true. It drained all over my kitchen floor. Finally found a repairman to work on it. Guess what, repairmen hate LG dishwashers too, if they will even work on them. Repairman told me if you can afford to buy another dishwasher to do it, they always break. Since I dont have a money tree in my backyard, I had to have it fixed, but you can bet I will never buy another LG dishwasher.

I purchased an LG electric range, model LRE30451SB101 in August 2007, made in April 2007. I pressed the button to preheat oven, turned to my cupboard & the oven door just shattered and cascaded to the floor in thousands of pieces. I never even touched the oven door! I called LG, out of warranty, but I said it had to be a factory defect, but they said too far out of warranty, sorry. They gave me names of repair people. What? Ill never buy LG again!

LG Wave Force HE machine, True Balance Anti-Vibration System, Inverter Dire
LG Wave Force HE machine, True Balance Anti-Vibration System, Inverter Direct Drive - bought about 18 mo. ago. First thing company did was sent me a check returning my warranty $$. I paid extra for 5-yr. added warranty. Have fought this machine since day 1 with finishing a cycle without the UE error coming on. I have king beds so our linens are larger but I do not overload. If anything, I underload to avoid the unbalancing of the tub. I even put the spin on medium in attempt to be easier on the machine. I am so sick of this thing!! I am going to sell it to the highest bidder on a Swip Swap page and hope they have better luck with it. Worst machine EVER! Seriously. It shakes so hard I am surprised there isnt a hole in the wall. All I remember is buying from Sears with a great big 10-year warranty on the front of the machine. Cant wait to get rid of this thing.

I purchased an LG French door refrigerator/freezer a year and a half ago and the compressor already went. I have a warranty and it took 3 days for a repair service to come out and tell me he doesnt know how long it will take to order the part and be back to repair it. Meanwhile I have no refrigerator and all my food spoiled. LG service reps have NO CLUE what they are talking you through on the phone and no help in regards to being reimbursed for loss of food! In OTHER WORDS DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS because their customer service and repair turn around time SUCKS!!!

We purchased our home in 2/2015 which came with LG washing machine purchase
We purchased our home in 2/2015 which came with LG washing machine purchased in August 2013. Machine started showing UE/balance error by September. In first call to LG, we were told we needed to level machine. We did so, but machine was already leveled. Soon after, UE warnings began to appear during sheet washes and tub cleans. If we are not on top of the cycle, machine will run for hours spinning and then refilling then spinning again. Called again and told since we were out of two-year warranty we were responsible for call and repair. Technician recommended by LG said circuit board was gone and would cost $300 for part. One more call to LG, and we were told they could do nothing for us. Technician said to just purchase new machine as we would be throwing good money after bad. So we are replacing two and a half year old machine that was used since purchased by two owners who were retired couples and have minimal washes. A huge piece of junk. I would NEVER purchase an LG appliance again.

I bought brand new DLGX5102W in 2011 (I had a Kenmore that was still working when I replaced it after over 20 years and that was a handy me down - and never had that repaired once but wanted the bigger capacity). Two years later in 2013...the power would turn on but drum wouldnt turn... Had that repaired, costs approx. 300.00 in total... Now the power turns off and the drum keeps going. And LG service dept stinks. They charge 100.00 just to come out to look at it, and then you have to pay for them to come back again to fix it. Doesnt anyone stand behind their product anymore? Oh, and the washer smells... When that breaks, I wont even try to repair it. Think I will cut my losses and buy a different brand, Kenmore.

The purchase of the LG Washer is by far the worst I have ever made. Despite complaints to LG nothing has been done. The finish on it has faded, during the spin cycle the vibration is horrible, knocking things off the shelf, the smell cannot be controlled along with the mold on the rubber seal. Now I notice chipping on the glass on my front loader that has now produced a crack along one side and is making its way toward the center. Never will I purchase the LG brand again!

Our direct drive, load self-balancing, year and a half old machine has been
Our direct drive, load self-balancing, year and a half old machine has been exhibiting all the unbalanced load problems frequently mentioned in reviews that I found after my wife told me that she keeps getting EU code indicating an unbalanced load which she redistributes by hand, followed by standing over the machine and holding it as steady as possible in order to finish the loads. When I tried to change the spin speed to low, the machine spun as fast as ever. After reading the other reviewers experience with LGs customer relations I intend to go out tomorrow and buy a non-LG washing machine and try to support any class action lawsuits that are inevitable (I hope). Maybe after their exploding cell phone problems are over, they will take care of their appliance customers. As one of the other reviewers mentioned, it seems as if LG didnt do their due diligence when it comes to product testing prior to bringing to market.

The computer board failed shortly after expiration of Manufacturers Warrant
The computer board failed shortly after expiration of Manufacturers Warranty. There was a class action lawsuit which allowed additional extension of repairs related to the Refrigerator computer board which in my case covered the repairs. The automatic ice maker failed and allowed water to continue flowing which resulted in a flooded kitchen floor. To solve the ice maker problem I disconnected the water supply line to the ice maker and no longer use the auto ice maker. I find the seal for the lower freezer will not seal properly in one spot but I can live with that.

Just using the refrigerator. Normally the defrost does not work. The repairman told me to unplug the refrigerator to let it defrost for 24 hours. Of course that means all of the food is spoiled. Home Depot has informed Im stuck with this piece of junk. After 24 hours I am suppose to plug it back in and hope it runs and cools properly. If it does not the repairman will order a fan which will take a week to get. In the meantime I and a bunch of spoiled food and no refrigerator. Do not buy an LG! LFXS30726S.

We have a six year old French door LG refrigerator, $2,700 purchased at Home Depot. It stopped cooling fridge and freezer. A local repair man told me it was the compressor and that he didnt work on LG refrigerators. I called the customer service number in the owners manual. The sealed system has a parts warranty for seven years and the compressor has a parts warranty for 10 years. When I called them, I told them that my compressor or sealed system was bad as the repair guy had told me. They acted like it was no problem and sold me a repair package for $459.00. They said that would include the repair and a year warranty on the repair. I said great and bought it. They send out the first guy after waiting several days. He said after a few minutes, the compressor is bad and he had to order the part. Well, after several days I hear that he is not coming back to fix it so now I have to wait several more days for LG to send someone else. Another guys shows up and says compressor bad, Im like yeah I know that. He says we will order the parts and it will take several days to get it. He gives me a card and receipt and is on his way. I wait days and never hear anything. I call the number in his card, they say we dont fix LG compressors. This is the same story that I got from the first one and this time I told LG to only send out a service that could fix it because I already knew that was the issue and they should have too since the first guy didnt want to fix it. So this time I was livid. They sent someone else that refused to fix it probably because LG will not pay them enough to fix it. LG continued to give me a runaround after they sold me this repair service for labor on what should be parts under warranty. Not to mention the fact that they screwed me around for three weeks sending their two chosen repairmen out who then refused to fix it but LG was not straightforward on that. I got the same BS story that I read in some other reviews that they say they dont have a repair person in my area. I told them that I live right outside of Houston and if you dont have a repair person in my area then you dont have one anywhere. They then said they would refund my repair purchase minus $100 for a service call fee. I was more livid! At this point I had been out of a refrigerator for over three weeks. We are a family of six with four children. It was our only refrigerator. We were living out of a mini fridge out of our attic and coolers! They did not care one bit. As I figured out that this was going to be a process, I went to Lowes and purchased a basic Whirlpool refrigerator for my garage. After threatening them with BBB and lawsuit, they refunded me my full purchase price of the repair package they sold me. I asked how they get away with not fulfilling their parts warranty. They offered me a one time chance to call my own repair man and I could call in or email his info to them and they would authorize him to get the parts under warranty but of course then I start over on service calls, fees and labor charges and Im sure, more runaround with LG sending the parts that my repair guy would need to fix it. I am so done with dealing with them. From the other reviews I read, Im lucky that my fridge lasted six years! I paid $2,700 for this refrigerator and we have kept it in perfect condition but now it is an expensive nice looking nonworking piece of junk! They are a horrible company. I called local repair companies and many dont even work on LG or Samsung refrigerators. They say their systems are too complicated and awful. I will never ever buy an LG again. I will not purchase Samsung either after what I have read and found out from repairmen. We have been operating out of the one I purchased for the garage and I am researching what to buy to replace my $2,700 LG. Awful, awful, horrible company for customer service!!! I will be purchasing Whirlpool/KitchenAid or maybe GE. It is really unbelievable what they put me through in this process and they do not care one little bit. I am a stay at home mom so I could be around without taking time off work but total and complete runaround and they lie non stop to you. They do not care about you one little bit and wouldnt care if you did have to take off work to deal with their scam and it is a scam!

We have had the dishwasher 3-4 years, it has been working fine. Then I start smelling something and take of the panel. A wire had come loose and melted the side then started melting plugs. After I had taken everything apart I found that not only had a wire come loose but the left side of the washer was rusting. See pics. How in the world does this happen in such a short time with everything is suppose to be sealed. LG told they couldnt or wouldnt do anything because it was out of warranty. I guess if you get a couple of days out of warranty watch out your house, could burn down because for shoddy labor. Never buy an LG again.

Freezer and Fridge section stopped maintaining temperature. Called to get a smart diagnostic but after describing the symptoms, skipped the diagnostic and went straight to need a technician. Thursday morning phone call results is an appointment for Wednesday. I understand that the times are challenging but a week seems a little extreme for a service appointment. The $3000.00 refrigerator was purchased on 4/15/18. The good news it is under warranty and may only have to pay for labor.
