My 18-month old LG top load WaveForce washer has the dreaded uneven load syndrome like so many others. The machine was recalled and repaired the first year and the problem started to appear. They made a small problem worse with the software upgrade. What is even more frustrating is that LG knows there is a problem, claims it will be repaired under warranty, sends a technician without a warranty repair number so he is forced to ask me to pay for the repair on the spot! I refused, asked the tech to leave and called yet another number I was given by LG to get my machine fixed. Why not have one customer service number? Why make me wait at home taking time off work for 4 hours and LIE to me that the repairs would be covered under warranty? Basically, I have a machine that looks like new but will take over 2 hours to complete a load (if at all). My old Amana cost $300 and lasted 12 years. This will be the last LG product I will aver buy!!!!!!

Ive bought front load machines in red color. It has a sensor type of thing. Anytime I wash something, it uses such a little water, I have to wash the same thing for three times. Also, dryer is the same way, it has a sensor and It stop drying the clothing before they are actually dry. I have to repeat the same cycle for dry three or more times. I set it on 55 minutes dry time, and in 10 minutes the machine stops with a signal of complete dry which is not complete. It bothers me. They werent cheap and it says less vibration and thats not true, my whole house shake from it. I wouldnt recommend to anyone! I will sell my house and make sure I dont have any LG product in my house. Very dissatisfied.

I’ve dealt with LG stuff through the years and the products that I’ve gotten seemed to work very well. Aside from TVs and others, being in the elevator business, I have bought and installed LG elevators, which were good quality products. We got an LG refrigerator and it works well. It keeps the food cool. And when it’s working right, it keeps the ice cream hard, and I like that. I was just having an issue with the food getting warm. Their technician came out within a day and a half and fixed it, but didn’t get it right on the first time. When I told them it wasn’t working, they said they could come the following day, which was a Saturday. I was impressed that they came out even on a weekend. They took care of it early in the morning and got us up and running. So I was really happy. I had a big party planned and the technician got the refrigerator all fixed up before that. It started cooling down really well, and everything was fantastic. The technician was a nice gentleman, and very cooperative. He worked with us. All-around, I was happy with the service that I got from LG. And I would be calling them again if I have any problems with the refrigerator. I’m happy that they have their own service department. A lot of times you get different companies that are servicing the product, and they gotta run to LG to get the parts. The guy we had here is directly connected with LG, so it’s part of their system. And I know, being in the business, that if you’re dealing with the in-house manufacturer, they have better availability of parts and technical support than a middleman. You get a couple of people down this chain, and now you gotta order the parts and it takes longer. But the guy we had was able to come with the parts and then he did the job, and that makes the difference. I would absolutely recommend them.

I paid over 1,500.00 for a LG refrigerator LFC23760ST just three years ago. Its the last time I will ever buy LG products again. They carry just a 1 year warranty and will charge me an arm and a leg to replace any parts that I need. The circuit board went out and I was told that its $400 dollars just for the parts to fix it. Why do I need have to spend $500 plus dollars on parts on an appliance that is only 3 years old?I have a Whirlpool refrigerator in my garage that sits out in the heat and has been out there for 15 plus years and I bought it used... And it still works. If they are so confident in their products, make them last for more than 3 years. Im upset that this happened but if they carried a warranty that replaced and/or fixed my problems, it would not be as bad. But when I call and to get my refrigerator fixed, its a like buying a new one all over again. Like I said, this will be my last LG product I will ever buy.

I have only owned this LG for a few months but the drawers and side bins are chipping. I have several pieces that I will try to glue back on but now it is only a matter of time before I break a drawer. I wish I had realized this before I made such a major purchase. Please note: This a replacement LG as the freezer on the original failed within one month of purchase.

Please when purchasing a LG product make sure you look at the warranty. I have owned 2 LG products. First was a dishwasher the second is a refrigerator. Both of these products had issues that should be covered under LG warranty and LG has fought me on both warranty claims. The first was the dishwasher. When I called in for a warranty claim I was told LG could not warranty it as I did not have the original purchase receipt. Even though the Model and Serial Number on my dishwasher noted it was under warranty they would not honor their warranty. At that time I did not realize I could have fought it so I purchased a new dishwasher (that was not LG).Now in 2020 my fridge stopped working. It is the compressor. My fridge is still under warranty and the compressor should be mailed to my home. LG is making me jump through hoops to get the compressor mailed so my fridge can be fixed. LG will not send me the product without talking to my technician. In saying that I have supplied LG with my technician’s contact information and LG has told me that they have reached out to my technician to authorize the part. My technician as received NO authorization request. When I reached out to LG to note my technician had not received and email I was then told it would take 3-5 business days to contact him. I feel that LG has no right to authorize my technician in order to send me the part. Today there are so many clever people that can fix their own appliances. If I was a handy person and was able to fix my own LG fridge, LG would not send the part directly to me as I am not a technician. I think this is very unethical. The fridges compressor does not work it is under warranty, LG should mail the part without question. So at this point I am going on 15 days without refrigerator. LG will not send me the part even though I own the fridge and it is under warranty. They have supposedly contacted my technician but at this point he has not been contacted. I just wanted to let everyone know what I am going through so that when you purchase any major appliance consider purchasing one that has a better track record at honoring their warranty. If you do purchase an LG appliance at least now you are well aware that they will make you jump through hoops and likely not going to honor the warranty on that appliance. It would be better to find a company that is willing to honor their warranty even if it costs more.

My Mom purchased an LG freezer on the bottom refrigerator/freezer from Best Buy. This POC has been trouble since month 1 - she has had the unit for 6 plus years and periodically has a tech come out at her expense to blow dry the freezer to un-ice it and get the motor to start running again. Best Buy wont stand behind it and neither will LG... I will never never never never buy an LG anything ever again... Why has no one taken legal action against them?

I dont understand why LG would think we are so stupid that we would leave the refrigerator door opened! It beeps and keeps beeping when I am trying to clean it or look for something. This doesnt make any sense to me, and I find it very annoying that LG would think consumers are this stupid.

I have always had good experiences with LG products. They are one of my favorite brands. Like that it is stand up side by side. It has water and ice on the door. It also has a light that brightens up the ice and water on the door. If I had to choose something to improve Id want more space inside. I do like the LG refrigerator. Its very nice aesthetically. It keeps the food inside at just the right temperature. I havent had any issues with it.

DO NOT BUY AN LG COUNTER TOP REFRIGERATOR FREEZER AT ANY PRICE!!! On Nov 3, 2013, I purchased an LG refrigerator-freezer model #LFC21776ST, Serial # 308TRJL49636. An extended warranty was also purchased to service this unit from New Leaf Service Pro, located at 909 Lake Carolyn Pkwy Suite# 900, Irving, TX 75039.On February 2, 2015, I reported to the warranty company, New Leaf Service Pro, that the freezer was not working, and that the automatic ice machine was not functioning. On February 6, 2015, a technician was sent out. He wrote up the issue that he adjusted the temperature controls. On May 15, the same issue was filed with the warranty co. This time, the technician said the ice bucket was not sitting correctly and that was why the ice was not forming. The very next day, I contacted New Leaf and told them that the freezer was still not working and the ice was not freezing. They told me to unplug the unit and replug it, and also to flip the circuit breaker. Again, on August 1, 2015, the same issue was occurring and I contacted New Leaf and asked for a new company to come out. They refused and said they could not change the service company in the middle of the issue (thus stating that it was the same issue all along). On Aug 6, 2015, once again New Leaf sent out a technician who said the computer board needed to be changed. After waiting 2 weeks for the part to be delivered, a 4th repair call was made on August 22, 2015, a fifth service visit was made and the computer was changed. THE UNIT STILL DID NOT FREEZE!After 5 failed attempts to repair this lemon LG refrigerator-freezer, the service company refused to replace the unit and finally sent out a new service technician for a second opinion, for a 6th attempt to repair this lemon. By this time, I had been without reliable or functioning freezer service since February 2015. I had to discard hundreds of dollars of food. This time, the repair company said it was the compressor that had to be replaced. Even though the compressor was covered by LG for 10 years under the manufacturers limited warranty, they refused to deal with this compressor failing because I had the extended warranty. The extended warranty company said they would not repair it unless I signed a damage waiver for them to enter my home (meaning that if they scratched my flooring or damaged a wall, they would not be responsible). I finally ended up removing the unit from the warranty company, and I am now on my own. I still do not have a functioning freezer since February 2015. Do NOT buy an LG unit and do NOT cover it with an extended warranty from New Leaf Service Pro.

Absolute nightmare dealing with this company. Our refrigerator quit cooling
Absolute nightmare dealing with this company. Our refrigerator quit cooling, common issue we found out. LG sent out repairman they determined it was the compressor, replaced it, still wasn’t working. They sent them out again and it was replaced a second time and still didn’t work. The repairman deemed it unfixable. We were told if it was deemed unfixable we would get reimbursed for the fridge or a new one, they had us email them our sale invoice so they could get us a new fridge. That was a lie. They sent the repairman out again. They had them replace every part in the fridge and guess what it still doesn’t work. Our refrigerator has not worked for 4 months, they have sent their repair company to our house 8 times. That is 8 days of missed work waiting on them to get here and work on the fridge. We have been told by a few of the customer service people on the phone that this case is getting escalated. Well it hasn’t. We have been told that if we were without the fridge 30 days it would get replaced that was a lie, not fixable it would get replaced also a lie. So we call them once again to let them know it isn’t working and now they say they can’t send someone out until January 7th. That’s another month without the damn fridge. We are beyond fed up with the poor customer service and absolute lies we have been told. Do yourself a huge favor and do not buy from this company.

It is not my overall first choice and I prefer other brands over it. I have not owned an LG in a long time. It met my initial expectations but I was not overly impressed or surprised but how well it performed, etc. It was very large and made of stainless steel and had wired shelving inside with different compartments for veggies and fruit and an attached freezer on top. I did not like the wired shelving units and the handles on both the top and bottom were easily unattachable which made opening and closing it difficult. I also did not like the color but that is more for aesthetic purposes.

I bought LG washer/dryer from Best Buy and had the 5-year service protection plan. I have had leaking problem and had Best Buy out two times. Two weeks ago, the washer started leaking. I found plastic pieces in cleanout. I contacted LG, who referred me to A&E Factory Service (nationwide). I called and they returned my call on a Monday. I then made appointment for Thursday. They called that day sick, so I had to make another appointment a week later (earliest and now 10 days after speaking with them). I called LG, who referred me to a local company. They came out the following Monday (now over one week). They turned the washer on and said the lifetime warranty stainless steel drum is warped. I said it is hard to bend them, so was it an original problem? They said it caused damage to seal. After paying them for diagnostic trip, he said I have to pay for all labor and any other part, except wash drum. Okay, he approved using washer if I was okay with small leaking. Appointment was set for three days later. I used the washer and it turned into a gusher. He came back that evening and said that drum ripped front gasket. He will pay for that. Meantime, I called LG. They said that drum suddenly becoming warped is not likely, but it could happen. I said it has been this way since we had it. It has always been loud and it vibrated more than our old Maytag but we had to leave it at the old house on sale of house. They said they will cover drum, but nothing else. Tech came out on Thursday (this past) and opened up washer. (Finally, he actually opened to look at all of it.) The drum was so warped that it cut open (gouged) a hole in the outer plastic drum (front section). It had a circular gouge around the almost complete perimeter. He told me that part is no longer available because washer was over 7 years old. It was made in 2005 and I bought in 2006. He told me to buy a new washer. After he left, I called LG who said that part can be bought as an aftermarket part but they do not make the original part anymore. Swell. They gave me names of two parts suppliers. Part is $100 but has to be mailed at an oversize part ($50). I called service company to tell them it is available. They called and placed an order. On Friday, next day, part still was not shipped to them. I cancelled service (now estimated to be over $400) and bought a new Whirlpool set. LG refused to take ownership of problem that was caused by a lifetime part and they admitted that it was likely like that from beginning, but would not say 100%. Theyre out. They told me I should have noticed something not right, even though I had Best Buy out two times. I called Best Buy and they told me their service is a plan not a warranty. If there was a lifetime warranty issue, they would have had LG fix it, not them. Now my problem went on for two weeks with no conclusion, other than me cancelling service and throwing that piece of junk out. The company I called recommended the Whirlpool because it is US made. They said the biggest problem with LG is that it is all Korean or Chinese made and parts are difficult to come by. No kidding. Manufacturer is only obligated for 7 years per them and LG. If you want your machine to last more than 7 years and you paid big bucks for it, look for something other than LG. They will not back up their products in any way feasible. I understand warranties but when a lifetime-warrantied product is the culprit of a major problem, dont blame the customer for not knowing it was an issue, even though a service tech they recommend doesnt catch it either.

LG WT1101CW - Bought new just over 1 1/2 years. It worked fine for over a year and now it cannot complete a load without stopping because it is out of balance. Had a repairman check it out and he stated that LG said it needed the new update control board at a cost of over $500.00 before he could even diagnose problems. This is almost as much as a new machine. Obviously they are aware of a problem if the main control board is already being updated. The repairman said he could not guarantee that this would fix the problem. This machine is horrible. Contacted LG customer service and they could not diagnose using their phone diagnostic system. They stated they could give us a repair company name and stated the machine was out of warranty.

I purchased the LG washer a year ago. I have been dissatisfied since day one. Tried every cycle, but the clothes are all tangled up at the end of every cycle. You try to take the clothes apart and end up with a left arm of a shirt twice the length of the other. Its awful, the clothes come out all stretched out from trying to pull them apart. I loved my old FRONT load washer. All clothes were washed properly. With this top load, not all clothes get a good wash. Never again top load. No use calling LG. They will tell me: Too bad sucker. We purchased this refrigerator Dec. 15, 2014 its not a year old and still under the factory warranty. This is the second time that we have had this problem with the refrigerator not getting cold. May 2015 was the first time someone came out and adjusted the temperature, the same problem happen again around September 11, 2015 where it wasnt cooling or making ice. The day I got out of the hospital, I come home and everything in my freezer had thawed out and spoil. I began calling immediately but no one seems to put themselves in our shoes. We have been without a refrigerator since September 18th, 2015. Someone from Jebco in Saraland, AL. came out on September 23, 2015 said that he had to order a part and for us to unplug our refrigerator until he return on Monday September 28, 2015. Well Monday came, his clerk called to say that he would not be able to come on that day. I was so upset that I hung up on her, but later called back to apologize, later that day she called LG to inform them that she did not think I was satisfied with them QUOTE: Im not satisfied with anyone because everyone has a refrigerator and we dont. We are having to keep water in a cooler and having to go out to food because we cant put anything in the fridge. All we are asking is for them to give us another refrigerator, nobody seems to be able to accommodate for our loss. We are still paying for a broke down refrigerator, its notfair. I thought customers were always right and came first, well it seems that is not a true statement, because if it were true they should make sure that the customers are happy and satisfied to every extent.I am so dissatisfied with HHGregg and LG, I am letting everyone know not to deal with either one of them because they dont stand by their word of satisfying their customers. Is there anyone that can help me please come forward to give me some advices? We have spoken to so many peoples and nobody doing anything.

Purchased model LMXC2346 on 1/2017 with extended warranty. On 8/2019 refrigerator failed due to compressor defect. Refrigerator would not stay cool resulting in food spoilage and only $130 reimbursed from LG. On Sat. 6/27/20 (during a global pandemic) woke up to water all over brand new wooden floor, hot refrigerator/freezer, this time resulting in food, insulin medication spoilage from the same compressor defect. Service technicians are inundated with similar LG compressor issues; 1st technician said would take 15 days to order/replace compressor and deal with LG warranty dept, 2nd LG technician refused ticket stating 15 customers were before me resulting in 30 day wait for replacement part. Been on the hold for avg 12 hrs with at least 10 reps resulting from vicious cycle of transfers and hang-ups. Latest was on 7/6/20 Steven (Executive Supervisor) from Executive Service Team confirmation conversation # ** who stated LG policy for alternative resolution wait time were at 4-6 weeks for someone to call me back to discuss pro-rated buyback option. Since LG was unable to find a technician within their allotted time frame of 5 days by 7/4 I now have to wait until 8/3 for someone from their Alternate Resolutions Department to discuss next steps. If this wasnt a slap in the face I am being asked to keep the defective refrigerator in my house even though I have requested the rep to get a LG technician to come and pick it up since I cannot wait to purchase a new refrigerator for my family and still store a non-working one in my house. I was told LG requires that we keep the refrigerator regardless of the amount of time it takes for them to resolve the issue and that he cannot send anyone to pick up although we are responsible for ensuring it is in our possession in case LG wants it back! In addition, I find it unfathomable that my family will have to incur the additional cost and hardship of having to purchase a new refrigerator because LG has taken ZERO accountability for their defective product and their incompetent practices and policies of having a customer wait up to 6 weeks to even discuss a pro-rated buy back since we clearly will never buy or recommend an LG product again. They are unreasonable and unwilling to work with you the Client although they are well aware that there is a Class Action lawsuit against them for this very same issue! Buyer beware... please learn from our mistake!

I guess that judging by the other microwave reviews, I shouldnt be surprised that my first-ever LG product wasnt any good. We purchased a new house in May, which included a new LG microwave that was purchased/installed in April when the kitchen was remodeled. Last week, the microwave just completely stopped working, and when I called LG, none of the troubleshooting solutions worked. Their response was that they needed a receipt to look at it and repair it. However, the previous owner did not have the receipt. I told them that I knew for a fact that it was purchased in April. Regardless of that, its manufactured date was May 2011, so shouldnt they be ashamed that their product only lasted 1.5 years from its manufactured date? Instead, I now have to contact the people we bought our house from and ask them to call the store they purchased the unit from and find the receipt - wasting everyones time. Products break, I get that. But its the fact that it broke within 1.5 years of its manufactured date and that customer service was awful. I will never buy an LG appliance again, and Ill pass the word along to my friends.

We have not dropped anything on it and have taken very good care of it, so it had to be the heat from the burners. We also have an LG dishwasher which we have had to have repaired NUMEROUS times. AND we have an LG refrigerator that, all of the sudden, the light bulb inside wouldnt turn off and it was heating up all of our food and we had to have that repaired. I purchased LG Waveforce Top Loading Washer WT5001cw and Gas Dryer Set on 7/9/11 from Best Buy. I had a little issue of leaking that out of nowhere was resolved. On 10/31/2102, I went to the washer to get my whites out. I couldnt open the washer because it was locked. I pressed the power button & it would not turn on. I pulled out the manual to troubleshoot the issue. There was nothing in the manual to address this issue. I then called LG. I talked to a rep out of a call center in the country of Panama. The person told me to unplug unit for 30 seconds to reset. I did this. That did not work. The person then told me to check the circuit breaker to see if the outlet tripped. I checked the circuit breaker & everything checked out normal. That did not fix issue. They told me to plug it into a different outlet. I did this. That did not fix issue. I told rep that I smelled a burning smell coming from unit. The rep told me to unplug unit. I immediately unplugged unit. Rep stated that since the unit was a bit over warranty, I would have to send my original receipt to them to be approved for an extended warranty. I faxed LG the documents they requested. As we waited days to see if this warranty was going to be approved, on Sunday, 11/4/12, my husband went down to basement to see if washer would turn on. He plugged it back in & smelt a burning smell & saw smoke coming from the back of unit. He took off a small white cover in the back to see what was happening. We found out that the main power source in the washer had caught on fire and this wasnt the first time since 10/31/12. We immediately called LG to report this & they seemed uninterested in helping us. This call center was in Asia. We also took many pictures. This rep told us we needed to contact LG on Monday to find out what to do next. On Monday, we called & talked to a rep in the USA by the name of Adrianne **, a supposed supervisor for LG. She wasnt helpful whatsoever and she was extremely rude. She made us re-fax and email another copy of original sales receipt to call us a few hours later to tell us that we were not approved for the extended warranty. She said her superiors told her that because we took off the back panel, we voided the warranty or any option for an extended. We were like Are you ** kidding us? This was an emergency situation of an LG appliance on fire in our home and it caught on fire previously days before this. Then this stupid rep told us to go to Best Buy to see if they could do anything for us, which we did that same night, which was tonight. The Best Buy manager pretty much laughed (not at us) as they were shocked LG told us to go back to them. Now, we are in a situation of being without a washer. We are trying to figure out what to do next. This appliance cannot be repaired. Even if it could, we dont want a fire hazard in our home or have to worry about it re-catching on fire in future.

After much research my husband and I purchased a washing machine, dryer, refrigerator, and dishwasher. After about eight months my ice machine stopped working, replaced for $385. Motor on dishwasher ceased replaced. Strip on fridge cracked and dishwasher has many pieces on the side that need to be glued. We are VERY disappointed with these appliances and would NEVER recommend LG to anyone. So much for researching Life is Not good with LG.

LG has a good product and they have a good reputation, so I went with them. I had a talk with them regarding the compressor which was bad and the fluid which was leaking. I was without a refrigerator for three weeks and I told them that when I bought it, I had the same issue. When their people came, they changed the compressor and it was fine. But then, the technician told me when they came out for the third time that even if they change the fluid, they cannot guarantee that the refrigerator will work. It might work for a year, it might go bad in one week. But overall, everything is fine and I had a good experience with LG. Still, if the refrigerator goes bad again, I want LG to replace it for me.

Ill just make it simple. I bought a $3000 LG LMX3195ST refrigerator on 07/30/2011. It has been broken from day 1. I have fifteen complaints filed and documented with LG. They have replaced warped door seals. They have unthawed it twice. They have been out to disassemble/reassemble it from where MEI repaired it incorrectly and they replaced the motherboard. The unit still has error codes and the ice maker gets stuck in the on position. The first repair company, MEI, was horrible. The company had no diagnostic tools and where a no show, no call. The second company, A&E, I thought was pretty good and well equipped, but now stated by LG will not return their calls. After listening to the guy from MEI complain the whole time he was here about how LG was underpaying him, I would be willing to bet that there might be some kind of issues in this area. LG has not been able to call me and notify me of the trouble finding a repair center; instead I have waited as long as 13 days before I finally call them and just repeat the cycle. I refuse to give up and I will fight LG to the end!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Do not buy anything from LG. I have owned an LG top-load washing machine since 2012. Four months ago, it stopped working in the middle of a load of laundry and trapped the entire load in the washer because the un-lock mechanism didnt stop working when the washing machine did. The first technician told me to buy a new machine and break the lid -- on a 6 year old machine! Then the fun began (to quote many other reviewers). LG phone representatives do not give you a straight answer, do not understand the issues, dont follow up, refuse to acknowledge your issues, and even LIE -- I can go on and on. In addition, LG corporation itself is running a scheme of taking advantage of consumers by ignoring their complaints and then charging exorbitant prices for parts so that consumers are forced to purchase a new appliance. After 3 months of back and forth because I could never get an answer or a supervisor/manager, I finally learned that the parts alone to repair the machine are estimated at over $400 (again, not including labor), which would bring the repair cost to about the cost of the machine when new.

My 2.5 years old LG fridge stopped working 2 days ago. No warning. The front panel said the fridge was working at optimal temperatures, but everything defrosted. Vacuumed dust from vents around compressor, during the initial troubleshoot with no result...just came from a month of grocery shopping, as we usually do, a day earlier, before this headache. This is terrible for an appliance just a few years old. Very disappointed. I have a KitchenAid refrigerator that was replaced by this new product because of its space. It is still working after 13 years.

I have an LG front load dryer (model DLEX3857W). The original dryer lint filter warped, I guess from the heat of the dryer? It would not sit flat, which caused clothes to get caught on the filter, mostly clothes with thin straps, such as camisoles, etc. However, on one cycle, a sleeveless nightgown was caught, which cracked the corner of the filter, as well as a piece of the filter guide. I purchased a new LG lint filter and replaced the broken one, but it never would sit flat where the corner of the guide was rough. Ive had 5 camisoles, 3 nightgowns, and now a fitted sheet destroyed due to being torn when becoming caught and twisting around the raised part of the filter. The material gets wound so tightly that the piece caught just tears off.I made a complaint on the LG website blog, but my entry was declined because I failed to meet posting requirements - I cant figure out what didnt meet, except that the question I asked was based on the fact that I had read several blogs where Kenmores version of the same dryer has had a recall of the due to the same problem, and I asked if there was an LG plan to recall. I have also emailed LG directly, with no response as of yet. There are MULTIPLE complaints online on different blogs, which is where I found a link recommending replacement of all 3 parts - the lint filter, filter guide, and lint filter cover. I found all the parts on Amazon, with more complaints of the same issue. Why should I have to spend $60 for parts that appear to have been a defect from the beginning.

We purchased our LG washer the summer of 2014. The washer worked great until we started noticing rust forming around the bleach dispenser. Now, every time I wash sheets or blankets they come out with rust stains! Subsequent washing does not remove the rust, therefore it is ruined. We have only had this washer for 6 years and considering that we have an Amana dryer that still works after almost 13 years (and was much cheaper btw) does not speak well to the quality issue with the LG washer.

I like everything about my refrigerator – the style and the features. It had everything that I wanted. That was why I bought it but I will never buy LG anything again. I took out a warranty and tried to deal with LG on that. They sent a service that they use for repair but I went through three months of a freezer and refrigerator that did not work with Jessup’s Major Appliance Centers in Sarasota, Florida. They put in three different compressors and none of them worked. LG knew that they had a problem with the compressors. The repairman had been trying to fix them all over the state of Florida. I was told they were not gonna send their repairman out again after all that. But finally, they said they would come and put one more in. That fourth one finally worked. But they put me through hell. I even had to buy a little refrigerator. Thank God Jessup’s gave me one that I had to put on the carport and go outside to my refrigerator. But that was totally unbelievable customer service.

(Re: LG Tromm WM1841CW) I moved in with my GF, leaving my old cheap top load behind for the new tenant and thinking hey, why not, the GF has an expensive LG; more expensive, a lot more expensive, so it must be better, right? Wrong! On top of the musty odors, I swear I am gaining rather than losing stains on my clothing. These look like grease stains. Certain materials seem more prone, such as cottons, especially softer cottons. LG suggests all this ** about cleaning the door seal, door, and tub at minimum daily. What a load of **! What, the consumer has to fix LGs bad design problems? And this thing cost more than a thousand. My 50-dollar secondhand washer never had these problems and got things clean. Save your money and you mind and buy yourself a good ol’ cheap top loader. Going forward, I will hand fill (over fill) the tub with super-hot water and pout in a couple cups of bleach and let it wash for a few minutes before letting it sit for a few hours. As for the laundry, I will see about over filling it with water to get the wash actually clean.

I bought an LG refrigerator 1-1/2 years ago and the rubber trimming has either gone out or maybe defective, which makes it hard to open the doors. I dont know of anyone that has had a refrigerator for 1-1/2 years with this type of problem occurring. I have called LG Premium Care Plan, which is the extended warranty that was recommended to me, but they will not come out to check without charging a service call. They told me it was wear and tear by opening and closing, which is nonsense. We are an elderly couple and cant image us wearing the rubber trimming. I would like to get someone to contact me and resolve this problem at no cost. I dont want to take it to a further solution. We bought this refrigerator in 2016. It was between this and the Samsung. I liked the looks of this one and it has a great reputation. I did not like the 3 small vegetable drawers, but thought it was minor and I would get used to it. I still do not like them. Celery doesnt fit unless cut. The only really good place to store big milk jugs is in the door which is supposed to be the worst spot to store milk. Other locations would make accessing all corners awkward. But these are minor compared to the real problem. The refrigerator stopped cooling about 4 months ago. The repairman said LG was aware that the coils had been made with inferior material so replaced it for free. (Should have been recalled before I lost all the food in my freezer and refrigerator). Since, the parts were replaced the unit has been extremely noisy. I can hear the high pitched noise upstairs from the kitchen. I called the service guy to come out again. $175.00 later I was told that it is a more powerful compressor and nothing can be done about it. I may have to get rid of it because it is driving us all nuts! Its unacceptable. Refrigerators are expensive! If this is the best LG can do, I dont want anything to do with their products!

Our electric glass top range/double oven stove is the worst ever! The knobs
Our electric glass top range/double oven stove is the worst ever! The knobs are SO sensitive and we have accidentally kicked them on numerous times by leaning against the stove when gathering in the kitchen and even by reaching up into the cabinet or microwave that is over the stove and hitting the knobs with our stomach or hips. Thank goodness we have always been home when this has happened and have been able to quickly address the melted cutting boards (2) and scissors that have been on the stove when accidentally turned on. Also, were very lucky that our dog knows better than to jump on the counters when we are not home or else I could see him turning on the stove and burning down our house with himself in it. I have called LG multiple times about this and each time I am assured someone will call me back but still no return call! To make matters worse, SafetyFirst brand makes knob covers to childproof these types of stoves, but LGs knobs are too large for the standard protectors. Its like LG aims to get a good laugh at peoples houses burning down because of their faulty products! We really wish we got a Whirlpool!!!

I bought an LG refrigerator 1 Year and a half ago. It started to make a noise like a plane about to take off. I called Customer service and was told that it was the fan and needed to be manually defrosted. I had never heard such a thing since the 60s. My parents had a Kenmore refrigerator for 50 years and never once had to manually defrost it. So I did as told and removed everything from the fridge, unplugged it and left it open for 10 hours. I dried the bottom, cleaned it and turned it back on. The noise was gone. Two months later the noise is back. I call customer service back and they tell me its user error, that I am leaving the door open too long or not shutting it correctly. They will send a tech out for $125. So I tell the guy its not user error and he tells me then I need to manually defrost. I tell him I have never heard of such a thing for a fridge in 2021 needing to be defrosted every two months. So ask him, Are you telling me I have to defrost this thing every two months? And he says, Thats not what I said. Yes..Thats what youre telling me. If the tech comes out here for $125 and finds it just needs to be manually defrosted then I will be charged for him to do what Im supposed to do every 2 months!!! So in other words this expensive piece of junk needs to be manually defrosted every two months. Worst purchase I have ever made and worst customer service. Save your money and buy another brand because they do not stand behind their products at all. Now Ill have to buy another fridge and have this carted off as scrap metal because I cant sell it to another person knowing it is defective...Im not LG.

I have almost the exact problem as everyone else here with the nasty mildew/mold smell. The rubber case around the door has black mold around it, which would cause dirty black stain on cotton shirts/bed sheets. If this is obviously a darn bad engineer or defect, why cant we do anything but cry and watch LGs executives getting richer with their Life is good slogan? Does anyone here work in the law department that can help everybody out? All I can do now is to go around and give this link to all websites that carry LG washers so that everybody has a chance to read reviews from the actual users, not paid writers who claim to be experts.

My husband contact LG they cant do anything about it because the warranty expired within one year of the date of purchase. So we contact Sears for $200. They came over to do the diagnostic so basically the top computer is outdated, running on the wrong setting, needs to be updated and we need to buy the top setting which is $500.00 plus labor work!!! My refrigerator stopped working last Friday. It is 2 years old. We called immediately to the call centre. They promised to cover my cost of labour with a local provider. So I called back LG and they said they would expedite this by the end of the day. Nothing happened. I called the provider and no luck. So I called back LG. They told me the same thing, and told me they would call, text or email me by the end of the day. In total, I have called LG 7 times, and a total of 2.5 HOURS on the phone with them. The most recent time I was on the phone 55 min until they told me it would now be 2-5 business days until someone in their service centre called the service provider to give the work order number. And apparently, this is expedited. This is not to mention yesterday, I could not even get through to customer service as their call centre was overloaded, and the recorded message just told me to call back another time. My case number is **. I have now given up, and have to pay for it myself as by the time this happens, it will be well over a week just to arrange a technician. They refuse to email me OR transfer me to the same agent. Getting a floor supervisor to speak to is close to impossible.

I just purchased a LG dishwasher LDP6797BB from Home Depot on 10/9/17, it was delivered on 10/17. We installed it ourselves (no issues there). Once we had the dishwasher all installed and confirmed no leaks, I went to run the dishwasher through a full cycle (as recommended). I powered on the machine only to get this code L2, I pulled the book out to find out this code means, luckily (according to the book) this is not an error it is a Rinse Agent code... However, the book does not tell you how to clear this code. So I called LG customer service, I was told I had to reset the machine at the circuit breaker. OK so I do that, machine is reset, machine works (thank God). When the cycle completes, I load the dishwasher with dishes and power on the machine... L2 AGAIN, reset AGAIN, did not work, reset breaker again. I have done this 1 MILLION TIMES in a week (and yes there is rinse agent in the machine). I have called LG, they are no help. They have no techs on staff that you can speak to, I know this is an easy fix, but they insist on sending a tech to my home. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY LG AGAIN... Buyer beware. We moved into our new house and discovered the existing french door LG was not cooling. (I see other reviews here mentioning the same cooling issue) It is three years old and no longer cooling. Trying to get this under-warranty refrigerator serviced has been a nightmare. Only registered techs can repair it if you can find someone in your area. It has been two months, three service people and two plus hours on the phone with LG and I have yet to have a service person even begin to work on it. If the next service person who comes (tech number 4 in 3 weeks) tells me that it really isnt this its really that and of course they dont have the part or the order was not written correctly or they just dont show up because they resigned and didnt tell anyone, I will pull my hair out. I advise anyone who is considering this refrigerator to find something else and save yourself the frustration (They should have minus stars on here).

They bounced me from service provider to service provider promising they would cover the parts and labor. None of their providers in our area were willing to come. Since they failed to provide a service provider I found my own and after about 20 hours on the phone with LG over several weeks got them to agree to cover the parts and labor for the provider I found. They promised a letter of authorization on 3 different occasions to start the work and it never was sent. I finally lost it on the customer service rep and they said they would consider replacement since I waited so long... only to be informed on my next call that this request was denied. Ive spent at least 30 hours on the phone with their customer support and it is November 27, two months later and absolutely no progress in two months. Im lost and extremely disappointed. We bought our LG fridge LMXS30776S 2 Door, 2 Drawer POS in Jan. 2015, It is a beautiful appliance, but beauty is only skin deep here, we paid $3200 bucks for this supposedly long term goods. First year had to replace ice maker and PCB board, and got no satisfaction from LG warranty, we went back to where we purchased it and they were able to get somebody to repair it for free, THANK YOU HOME DEPOT! 2nd year roller rack in bottom freezer drawer broke, again LG did nothing to help, this time they said, Oh sorry out of warranty. Thank you for buying LG products. Now it completely died but lights still worked, all the ice cream in freezer melted and of course the shrimp and salmon and our other frozen stuff went bad. Fortunately I have a 30 year old Amana 27cu ft side by side out in the garage (never been repaired since new). We were able to save most of the refrigerated items and just a few of the semi-thawed frozen items. Here we go again!!! Called customer service and they said in broken English like Chinese or something Asian and told me call an authorized LG service tech in my area. I contacted a local repairman, they came next day after waiting over a week for LG customer service to respond (Pitiful). He diagnosed the problem as the compressor was bad. $75!! Really? 2 years old and the fridge dies? I asked him candidly if this was an ongoing problem, his response was he does about 3 per week and keeps LG replacement compressors in stock... Wow. The repairman came back next morning with new compressor in the box and cut out the old one and soldered in the new one, did a very nice clean job too. No charge for compressor but $275 installation fee for a total of $350 bucks to fix a 2 year old top of the line fridge. I sure hope there is a class action suit brewing soon, its not right to have a new product repaired 4 times in 2 years with one of the repairs being a new heart for the fridge... A seriously flawed design in this new type of compressor called Linear, I also lost confidence in the other LG stuff I bought, new Dishwasher, new Range, over the stove Microwave, Washer, Dryer. This company has me nervous now thats for sure. I should have stuck with my old favorite Whirlpool, but to us its a $9,000 mistake I wont make again on any LG product no matter what it is. Caveat Emptor.

I have an LG front load fairly new machine and I absolutely hate it. I loved the fact its suppose to save money as it is and helps the environment. I have had the machine 5 years now. The only thing I like is the lights during the washing procedure. I was looking for efficiency but there is nothing efficient about a heavy soiled load of clothes taking over an hour to wash. The machine does not let you soak or pre soak clothes. With muddy clothing, sometimes things need to soak. The machine smells like mildew or mold all the time. The rubber seal is disgusting to look at and clean. Not sure who came up with this brilliant machine but I think its awful. There is barely any water on the clothing when washing. I dont like it at all and with it being 2,000 I feel like I got ripped off. My dryer is a Samsung steam or dry dryer. Never lost an article of clothing in it. The dryer works great. So far no issues. The machine takes forever to wash. The clothes dry quick because they barely get wet. But they do spin fast. I hate the fact there is still pet hair on my uniform pants and some types of fabrics which really makes me mad. Also I cannot soak soiled clothes. The machine drains out any excess water. I am so not a fan of this machine. I am so annoyed with it. I would trade it off for an older top loading machine in a heartbeat.

Electric range Model LRE3083ST - After a few uses oil/grease streaks appeared on the glass panel. Thought it was on the outer surface. Didnt run a self clean cycle until the range was 6 months old. The streaks were inside not outside. Called LG - was told this is a maintenance issue. This is a defect in the design - the glass is suppose to sealed. Contacted Sears the seller (also their corporate office), was told since we didnt buy the extended contract and was past 30 days, nothing can be done. Already found another person with the same exact problem.

We purchased this LG LMV2031JT microwave along with LG fridge, convection stove, dishwasher around June 2015 as part of a complete kitchen remodel. (sound familiar?) The microwave now wont finish cooking a tv dinner. It will warm something up short duration but after about 3 minutes it just wont heat anymore. Place where we bought it said it might be cheaper to just replace it. :( Wow, bought LG because of supposed quality. LG says to call a service company to repair or buy their additional warranty. I bought it because it should be a quality product, not needing an extended warranty!!! Gal I talked to was nice but foreign. Now I will probably have 3 LG products and an off brand microwave as I will not ever buy another LG product. What a joke.

One of the dangerous times was when I woke up in the middle of the night smelling gas. The knob on the stove for the burner had turned on slightly without my knowledge. The whole house was filled with gas. This happens frequently but I am normally aware of it when it happens. Any time I lean against the stove or I am trying to clean it, the knobs turn on. This would be EXTREMELY DANGEROUS WITH PETS OR SMALL CHILDREN.

I moved into a home in 2013 with a 2010 LG refrigerator. Both of the water lines have had to be repaired. On November 2, 2015 all food in the refrigerator was freezing. LG will not send out a technician unless you pay them in advance on credit card - $195 for all parts and labor with a 90 day warranty. A sensor had to be replaced. Today (March 9, 2016) the food is freezing again. I just called LG and they want another $195 before they will send another technician out but not before March 14. Their products and repairs are useless. DO NOT BUY LG.

LFX31958ST - Purchased our first LG refrigerator in 2010. It lasted approx. 9 mos before the bottom freezer stop freezing and the top fridge stop getting cold, the ice maker stopped making ice. The purchase company HHGregg replaced the refrigerator with a new one in Oct 2011. In Oct 2012 a repair call was made on the 2nd refrigerator and now in 2015 (thank God for warranties) the refrigerator is out again same problems. This refrigerator cost too much money to last less than 5 years. Never will we buy LG again and we will be sharing our experience on social media with all our family and friends. Warning!!!

My 2 year 10 month old LG 32 cubic foot fridge stopped cooling on Saturday. No codes on the display, the entire fridge just stopped cooling. Had service person out where I purchased it, part covered, labor is not. Then he said it will take about 10 days to get the part. Must be taking a slow boat from Korea? I have come to the conclusion that there is no quality in anything manufactured these days - they are built to break down within a couple of years. The fact you have to buy extended warranties on such high priced appliances is a sad statement about the manufacturing industry!

In 2015 I bought all my LG appliances just to get to the 4 yr with them when all came apart. Just in this yr my microwave stop working, my stove supposed to be fitting 5 pots, it only fits 3 on it. My wall oven broke as well, but my worse nightmare is the experience I’m going through with my refrigerator, a MODEL: LMXS30776S/01. This refrigerator has stop cooling and making ice 3 times this yr, between April and November. I called the warranty company and they throw the ball to LG, LG keep sending this A&E Factory service to work on this refrigerator and for the second time in this month they supposedly fixed and leave saying that it would take 24 hrs for the fridge to cool again, 24 hrs passed and The fridge still not working.LG customer service keep say that they can’t replace the unit until the technician writes in his report that the unit is unrepairable. Meanwhile they have the customer without a fridge for almost a month. Christmas is around the corner and this is becoming a nightmare. All I keep hearing from the technician is that this is happening a lot with LG Appliances and LG stead of replacing or reimburse the money prefers to keep expending money paying to service companies.

About 3 years ago I purchased an LG dishwasher Model LDP6797ST. I was very happy with it at first until about 1 year and a couple of months. One day a received the error message AE. At the time I did not know what it stand for. I contacted LG and to their credit they sent a technician to repair the unit. What he did that day is replaced a circuit board at the door and the machine was working. And now 2 years later after the repair I received the same AE error message. The thing is that error message according to LG is a water leak. I called a repairman who confirm I have a leak coming from the drain pump. It would cost about $600 to fix. In his word I better off buying a new dishwasher. I paid good money for that dishwasher (about $700) and it only last 3 yrs. I am not sure I will ever buy an LG appliance again. I am now again looking for dishwasher. Very disappointed.

I absolutely could not get anyone to answer my calls. I purchased a washing machine in 2005 and it was starting to smell terrible by 2006. In 2009, it produced error readings so I purchased a new pump. In 2011, it started making noise. I took it upon myself and found out that the support brace that holds the inner drum rotted and broke off in three places. I have soft water and am a registered master plumber. The material used in this brace was no more than cast aluminum or pot metal (neither of the two should be used in a piece of equipment like this). The drum is stainless. What a waste.

I have the same problem with the moldy smell. I had a service guy in today and I am going to follow his advise and see what happens. The washer is already smelling better! His advise; First, he adjusted the front feet so the machine sloped slightly back so the front gasket drains fully, then he showed me how to drain the washer by using the dials (no one explained this to me!). Turn on machine, dont touch the main dial, go to spin speed button and press it. Display should read 13 minutes, then start washer. This will completely drain any standing water! Good luck **. He also recommended to use half a cup dish washing detergent in the drum, wash on full hot cycle. Do this at your own discretion, I am trying this tonight!

We purchased this refrigerator in December 2016. The first issue was the very typical water tube leak which caused cascading icicles in the freezer (LOWES was very helpful with this problem). A couple of days ago, the right top hinge came loose, causing the door to hit me in the chest. I had to support the door to prevent it falling completely off. We were able to reattach the hinge pin and duct tape it to prevent a recurrence. This could have had catastrophic results. Prior to the hinge pin coming out, the door had been difficult to close properly, but we could not see what was causing the problem. I will not purchase any more LG products.

Bought a LG dishwasher from Pacific store inside of Best Buy store in Tampa
Bought a LG dishwasher from Pacific store inside of Best Buy store in Tampa, Florida last Nov 28, 2014. Even after reading the reviews, stating that the machine left a stranger smell, didnt clean well... I was not totally convinced. :-( BIG MISTAKE!!! REVIEWS - BELIEVE THEM - Yes, the machine is not good AT ALL. The machine is not used too much, but after few month... the smell that was coming from it was incredible disgusting!!! It looks like something had died inside (let me make clear, I do rinse all dishes before I put them inside of the dish washer). Glasses started getting to be white. Plates I could feel there were something being left on them, they do not dry completely. After few months I got 2 guests in my home and the machine got to be used every day... OMG - then I really could see the damage - I finally decided to call for service after 10 month.CUSTOMER SERVICE - part 2. When I called the LG, they said they could only find me by my phone number, but they did not found me. I called the store I bought it from - Pacific inside Best Buy, they said ONLY by phone number, I gave them, but they would not find me over the phone. So I walked to the store with my phone bill on my hand. THEN THEY FOUND ME.All this took me another month to deal with. Now I am on the 11 month of my warranty, my time is running out (which Best Buy can find you by whatever info you give them)... Best Buy manager step in, apologize and ask the manager of Pacific to make an appointment for service call for me. Yes, they did, but today I was waiting from 8 a.m to 12 pm and nobody show up. I called the company, and they said, they dont service my area. So I said, What? So, after me spending all morning waiting, and not going to work, you dont come? They said they had called LG, and told them they dont service this area, and LG should had given my schedule to another company.I called LG again... LG said I apologize... someone else can go to your home on Wed. I said, I cant not go to work on Wed. They said, Well, Advance Tech Service, did not tell us that they did not service your area. We cannot do anything. So I said, Well, again, its me, the consumer who gets in the middle of Best Buy, Pacific, LG, and Advance Tech Service... No one wants to take responsibility for the mistake, for my pay day that I didnt make. The LG manager hang up on my face. Its rude, cruel and not right. The only thing I want is a machine that work properly and well, and someone responsible the mistake. LG and customer service - VERY BAD - DO not buy from them or from Pacific.Updated on 11/12/2015: OMG - the LG service man came to my home yesterday. After showing him my machine, how dirty my dishes were, stainless steel full of white soap, cups of coffee with all the coffee inside, I told about the terrible smell that would come out between washes, showed my cabinet that had some type of damaged on the side due to moisture... He couldnt find anything wrong with it. He said the only problem was You have to turn your faucet to hot water to a 120 degrees before turning the dish washer on. This is the problem with your machine... He even suggested that I would install a heater under my sink!?! I have lived in this house for 16 years, and I have had only one dishwasher before, which basically broke after enough use, and always worked perfect. What is he talking about?!?! Please help!!! Its under warranty and do not want to fix it.

My LG refrigerator broke down over a week ago after just 18 months. I paid over $3,500 for it. I have been trying to have my case reviewed by LG for over a week now but they keep rejecting my proof of purchase even though on top of the original receipt and invoice, the Home Depot store where I purchased it from, issued an official proof of purchase letter. I spent over $7,200 on all LG appliances and I am not happy with any of them. The display on the stove broke down in the first week I had it. The washer keeps stalling when I run certain programs. The dryer routinely stops with an error message that the duct is blocked (which is bogus, we checked it on many occasions and there is no obstruction) and the dishwasher does not completely dry the dishes even in extra dry mode. I have never before written a negative review but this company does not deserve to be in business. They do not stand by their product and use the annoying and false slogan Life is Good. Good for them maybe. Not for the customer. Their customer service is a nightmare. All calls are answered by representatives who serve as a layer of protection so you cannot actually get through to anyone who is a decision maker. If you are considering a purchase of an appliance, please stay away from the LG brand!!! Worst ever. I owned a Samsung fridge before and it worked like a dream and was nicely designed. I kick myself in the rear end for not sticking with my gut when I made the decision to purchase the LG junk brand.

We bought our LG 4 years ago at Best Buy. We have always bought Whirlpool refrigerators in the past and they all worked well for TEN years or more. This LG is a piece of junk!!!! During the first couple of years, we had to have a repairman out twice for the icemaker. The second time, they had to order a replacement part for the motherboard. About a month ago, the refrigerator-part stopped cooling. We called the only qualified repair shop in the area and were told that it would be a week before they could get to us. For some unknown reason, it started cooling several days later so I cancelled the appointment. It cooled for several weeks and then stopped again. Now, both the refrigerator and the freezer have stopped. We have called the repair shop again and must wait 5 days for them to come and they will probably have to order parts. So, we have no idea when it will be fixed. If I could afford to throw it out the door, I would. I will NEVER, NEVER buy another LG refrigerator.

My 83 year old mother purchased an LG refrigerator about 2 years ago. She’s on a fixed income, so this was a significant purchase for her. I advised her to purchase the extended warranty for peace of mind in case something happened. What a joke. The refrigerator stopped cooling—freezer too. We called the repair number on her extended warranty & were told that the soonest they could get a repair technician out was over 9 days away. Well, not ideal, but we figured we could figure out how to make it work. The tech called to confirm the appointment & informed us he had ordered a new compressor to be shipped to her house because “they go out all the time.” Wow. That inspires confidence in the product. The repair day came and went without a tech showing up. When we called to inquire why the no-show & were rudely told that we were supposed to call when we received the parts. Well we saved the voicemail from the tech and there was NO mention of calling when the parts arrived. So they rescheduled the appointment, and again, the soonest available was a week away. The appointment was supposed to be from 1-5. We confirmed this for the 3 days leading up to the appointment. Yes, they assured us, the tech will be there between 1&5. Guess what? Again, no tech, it’s a Friday and the office closed at 5, so no help.Fed up, I called a local repair company. They were able to schedule an appointment for Monday morning. So I call LG to see if they will at least cover the labor for the repair. I’m told that because I didn’t use their “approved” vendor that they won’t cover the repair. Seriously? Clearly the LG refrigerators have a known issue with the compressor going out, but unless you use their “approved” vendor, you are out of luck. After over 7 hours of calls to LG customer service I was finally able to get ahold of the Executive team. Supposedly the approved vendor will be out tomorrow between 1&5. Yeah, heard that before. Fingers crossed they actually show up this time. One way or another, I will NEVER purchase an LG ANYTHING and I will advise EVERYONE I know to do the same. Worst customer service EVER.

We purchased a $1,000 LG washing machine in October 2011. We had always bought Kenmore, but the salesperson said that LG was a great company with good products. So we made the purchase. When the machine was delivered I had noticed on the interior rim that the paint (porcelain?) finish was not smooth in a couple of places about the size of a quarter - this would be directly under the spray head and another area a few inches from the spray head. The delivery person didnt seem to think this was an issue. About 2 years later I noticed that the area directly under the spray head was turning brown, but I didnt think twice about it because at the time I didnt realize this round piece of plastic was a spray head. Well today when I was wiping down the interior of the machine 2 places the size of a pencil eraser came off exposing the metal of the machine. So I called LG to find out what could be done. The first person asked me to upload them and photo, which I did. She told me this was rust and LG would not do anything as this is considered cosmetic. Im like REALLY, this machine is less than 4 years old and rusting. Yup that was the answer. Not good enough for me. So I had purchased an extended warranty - warranty only covered moving parts but they gave me some advice. They told me, in their opinion, this was poor workmanship/defective product and LG should be responsible. So I called LG back and this time I spoke to a head supervisor, of course this was after I had to go through the whole issue with another service rep, just like it was my first call. This woman was so rude, kept cutting me off when I was talking and could not have cared less so I asked that I speak to her supervisor. I asked 3 times to talk to her supervisor and she told me that they do not handle this type of issue and NO I could not talk to them. She repeatedly kept cutting me off saying she would give me phone numbers for some companies to come and make the repair. I am ready for a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT but not sure how to get in touch with those of you that indicated you want to do the same.

We purchased a matching LG Tromm washer and dryer (front loading), approximately three years ago. For at least the past two years we have had a terrible time with clothes smelling sour and mildewy after being washed. Subsequent researched turned up countless complaints about this same problem. Weve tried many fixes some of which seemed to help a little, but the problem would always returned. The dryer unit started making a terrible thumping sound after about two years of use. I still do not know exactly why this is occurring. Some of what I read suggested it was the silicone wheels that get warped from the heat. Other posts indicate it is a problem with a crack in the barrel. My biggest issue at this point with the dryer is that it has never dried the clothes very well. I routinely have to run two or more cycles to get the clothes dry, especially things like jeans and towels. In addition, this morning I noticed that the dryer actually stops before the end of the cycle. I had it set for 1:43 Anti-bacterial setting (ironically to help with the smell from the washer), but the dryer cut off after only 30 minutes.Considering how much we paid for these items, it is very upsetting and frustrating. I have not contacted LG, in part because so many have done so to no avail and I dont have time to waste on such useless attempts.

While we were away our LG refrigerator, LMXS30776D/02 model, compressor quit working. We lost all our food in freezer and refrigerator compartments. Our home and refrigerator has a horrific smell, I havent been able to neutralize. (Baking soda, vanilla, and coffee beans.) A technician came to our home a few days later and was not able to repair the refrigerator. Since LG knew it had an ongoing problem with the compressor, it was discontinued. Technician from LG had to order a universal compressor. Once the part is installed, he then needs to check for leaks since coils may be corroded. We have been buying ice everyday for our cooler and can only buy enough for for the day. Inconvenience. Sad we replaced all our appliances 3 years ago for LG. Poor reliability and service for an appliance costing $2800. I am very concerned about another failure in the universal compressor after reading the previous reviews. LG had a poor response and was not acting in good faith to loyal customers. This is a major investment for families, not to be taken lightly.

I recently purchased all new LG appliances in the new black stainless. Love the door in door fridge, enjoy the stove/oven and microwave, but the dishwasher is impossible. The rack design for glasses will not hold any size glass. Glasses continually fall and turn over during cleaning. Often the very top new utensil basket gets caught on the glasses and the racks will not close without being pushed aggressively. The bottom rack has collapsible sections that fall down without force and plates become scattered and stuck together during the clean cycle. The overall cleaning, look and quietness of the dishwasher is good. BUT you will become easily frustrated with the basket configuration. Wish I could return this impossible appliance!!!

Has been a good product overall. Some of the plastic parts have broken - cheaply made - but otherwise reliable. Has held up well over the last several years but at around 10 years starting to show some wear on the drum suspension from what I can tell. Guess most washers are only made to last at most 10 years. Then when a repairman came to see why it was shaking more than usual would probably be more prudent to buy a new washer than have the old one fixed.

This is the worst dishwasher I have ever had in 43 years!!! It consistently does not clean the dishes. I have to run the hot water in the kitchen sink, turn on the high temp rinse cycle and after all this, the dishes are still not clean!! I paid 1300$ for this junk. Will never buy LG again!!!

Very reasonable price, easy to operate and the brand well recommended. It was very easy and simple to operate. Like the features, Ive owned and used these item for over 13 years and have not had any issues or problems with them. Regular repairs would definitely be a deal breaker because, Ill be forced to pay or spend extra money on these items if not investing in another brand. Im a male who washes most of the time because the wife is away so, I have known what cycle and temperature to use when washing whites, colored or black garments. So because this product is seamless to operate Ive never had any problems doing my laundry. Beside the price fitted in my budget.

My refrigerator is not producing ice or water through the door. I contacted someone named Kent and he assured me someone would contact me to resolve this problem. No one has. Im so angry. This item was 2500.00. What a piece of junk. I have had a private plumber in to fix leaks on the fridge. Its only 4 1/2 years old. I would never buy anything by LG Again. The customer service is inadequate, as well as the product.

I was hesitant on purchasing another LG Range because 6 years ago I filed a lawsuit against them for advertising their specific electric range as a true convection with sabbath mode when in fact it was not. We won the lawsuit due to LG falsely advertising their product. This leads up to yesterday when I decided to give them a try again. Figuring they learned their lesson, I purchased their LRE3194BS. They (LG) claims on their website as well as on every website that sells this range (Best Buy is where I purchased) that it is in fact a True convection (3rd heating element behind the fan). After it was delivered yesterday I opened up the owners manual and it stating it is NOT a true convection. When I called LG customer service to find out exactly what was going on and to ask what the difference was with their True Convection & their new Pro Bake Convection, the representatives could not tell me the difference. They then connected me to the corporate USA office in Alabama where a representative answered the phone. I explained not only my concern but also brought up the lawsuit 6 yrs prior and she stated this unit was NOT true convection. I asked about their webpage and the info they provide to retailers and she simply stated she has no idea who is responsible for putting correct and valid info online. I said this is just like years ago and youre falsely advertising your ranges again. She then Hung Up on me. Hopefully another attorney will pick up a new case against them.

Bought this dishwasher a couple years ago. Always had a funny odor, like a plastic smell. About a week ago the dishwasher started making a really ugly noise and then shot up with an error code LE. The repair person arrived today, inspected and found a blown motor and AC board. Several hundred dollars just for parts, which are not available so a lot of people must be having problems. Avoid this dishwasher. Not worth the money.

LG only allows LG-trained Technicians to repair LG appliances and when there is no LG-trained Tech in your area, youre out of luck even if the item is still under warranty. LG has the worst Customer Service Ive ever experienced... They just dont care. In our case, its a simple $30.- part for a range that I could install myself but after endless phone calls we got no help from LG. In 2018, were looking at a new washer/dryer combination and a new TV and you can bet that its not going to be LG.

LG Tromm Washing Machine (Model WM2455H) - I constantly get some sort of sludge from this machine on my clothes even though I regularly clean the filter out at the bottom of the machine. The machine always smells like sewer water and/ or moldy. It has been this way for the entire 6 years I have owned the machine. I have never experienced this with any other machine. I hate it!

Updated on 09/09/2019: In mid June the compressor on our until went out. Repair technicians came and replaced the compressor. That lasted 2 weeks and they had to come again and they replaced a hose they said had a pin sized leak. 2 weeks later the unit failed and a different company came to check the unit. He cleaned out some things and refilled refrigerant. Well 3 weeks after that it failed again. The technician advised he didn’t know what was wrong. He thought replacing the compressor again along with the coils might help but wasn’t sure what was wrong with it. All he did was refill refrigerant. LG promised us that the 4 call would be the one to determine if our 3.5 year old fridge was repairable. It did not cool and we have thrown out countless hundreds of dollars in food.LG is now telling us to call back tomorrow and they will send out a different technician to see what is wrong with it!! OMG!! LG, your refrigerators don’t work and you know it. Mind you it takes anywhere from 5-7 days for a technician to even come each and every time we have called. We live out of coolers and are completely frustrated with LG! I would never advise anyone to purchase an LG refrigerator.Original Review: Our few year old, expensive refrigerator/freezer stopped cooling in early June. We contacted LG and they sent out a repairman 3 days later who did not have a compressor in hand and had to order it. So over a week after we called our refrigerator was fixed, BUT, for now only 2 weeks then it died again. The repair people came out and said there was a pinhole leak in a hose and they replaced it and put in new refrigerant and so on. Well, it lasted 2 weeks again and a different repair company came and basically said he would clean out the hoses and he refilled the refrigerant. It had lasted 3 weeks this time!My fridge has been at a solid 69 degrees and the freezer at 55. It has taken over a week to get someone here. LG claims they will replace or give a refund for the fridge this time. I have thrown out several upon several hundreds of dollars of food. Lg knows they have a defect in the linear compressor and they just need to replace the refrigerators that have issues. Each time we call it has taken over a week to get it fixed and it seems like it’s only a temporary solution.

Bought a $2600 LG refrigerator 3 years ago. It no longer cools and has ruined the contents twice. First repairman refused to do any warranty work for LG. Second repairman said that parts are covered under the warranty, but labor will be $390 - $450. THIS IS THE BIGGEST PIECE OF JUNK THAT IVE EVER PURCHASED. I wished that there was a Lemon Law for refrigerators. Both repairmen said to stay away from LG refrigerators. Not only are they a piece of junk, but you cant get parts in a timely manner. It appears, from reading the reviews, that this is a common problem with LG refrigerators and it looks like the compressors go bad frequently. Im switching to Magic Chef or other Whirlpool brand. I hate to throw away a three year old, $2600, refrigerator, but Ill never trust this or any other LG product again. No wonder LG doesnt participate in this website. My Advice: DO NOT BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!!!

Havent even had this microwave for 2 years and the clock is already broken, light stopped working inside and it was a expensive microwave to buy. Should have stuck with the one I originally had. Was cheap but never had an issue with it.
