I bought this set because I liked the look of the stainless steel with a clear coat on top. Unfortunately after 3 years the finish on top of the washer didn’t hold up and had many marks and streaks which is weird because the finish doesnt seem scratched—just has discolorations. There is one setting, Sports wear, that has no features associated with it which seems like a bug. You choose it, and there are zero settings. No temp, speed, spin etc. They are just blank. I do wish I could add the fabric softener setting for every type of wash, but its not available on several. Otherwise it seems to do a good job and has great capacity.

I bought this appliance less than 2 years ago. The compressor stop working right after the warranty ended. Lost all food due to LG delay in solving this. The fix from the 1st technician worked for 2 days only. 2nd technician came and fixed the mistakes from the 1st one and the issues with the refrigerator which was the compressor. LG refused to honor the 10 year warranty neither reimburse for the lost food. Never, EVER, buy any LG appliance or you will regret for sure!

I will never purchase another front load washer again. You apparently are unable to off set problems with a load when it becomes unbalanced. I continually stop the washer, readjust the load but it will not complete a final spin on many items, mattress covers and various sizes of rugs or blankets. With a top load, you are able to redistribute the items and it continues the cycle with no problems!

LG Direct Drive WT 4801CW - Top of the line, we were told. At first small black marks were on our clothes & required a second washing. But today was the worst - its as if there is a hidden filter or holding area that fills up & then discharges filth all over clothes & sheets! I checked our water filters & lines into the machine & nothing was found. We are retired so no clothing caked with dirt/mud. Is there a filter that we are unaware of? Nothing in the manual. I wrote to the Manufacturer but no reply.. Very poor Customer Service. Local Dealer said they would have to pull machine all apart but I have to pay for it! Ive had LG products in the past but this one has done them in as well as their wonderful refrigerator, so we are done with LG anything!

I hate to complain about products, it is not my nature to do so. The ice maker in our new LG LFX25974 is as poorly designed as I I could possibly imagine. The ice tray will not always break the cubes out of the tray and drop them in the bin. It rotates upright and then overfills with water which overflows the tray and when it freezes again, the tray is frozen in place and will not dump the cubes. When the freezer goes into the defrost cycle it cause the cubes to thaw on the outside and then they re-freeze into an ice bridge. There is no fix for these problems even though LG will drag you through a troubleshooting process. They know it is a poor design but refuse to address it. The best solution is to not purchase a built in ice maker. You will cuss this thing all the time if you try to use it. I would have given them a better score if they had been honest with me, which they were not.

I purchased an LG Inverter because I had purchased an LG washer and dryer set and I was happy with them. The dishwasher in the beginning worked okay. Now the dishwasher stinks and my dishes are not clean after a 2-hour wash. They come out filmy and dirty. I wash the dishes before they go into the washer and it still does not help. And my clothes washer has developed a horrible smell. I have followed the cleaning instructions with marginal success. With the dryer, I was able to program dryer settings and now that doesnt work. I will never buy another LG product again. Buyer beware, do not buy these products.

I purchased LGLDT5678SS dishwasher in April. The dishwasher has a very annoying whistling sound during the fan/drying cycle which I reported to LG immediately. LG sent CVS Appliance repair to correct the problem. They replaced the fan; the whistling continued. I was told by their rep that it was probably a design/manufacturing flaw. I have called LG multiple times. I was told today by a supervisor that only TCC could authorize a replacement or refund, whoever that is. Do not buy this dishwasher. LG reps give you a constant runaround and the supervisor basically said LG would do nothing to correct or fix this. She put another work order in to CVS; their rep Randy called and said he had already repaired the dishwasher and that I should get another service company to come out. I have reached out to Ferguson, the company we purchased the DW from, they are my last hope. I cannot and will not live with this annoying noise which can be heard throughout my home, not just in the kitchen.

I purchased an LG refrigerator from ABC Warehouse on 5/24/15. On 6/3/16 my refrigerator stopped keeping things cold and the blower fan stopped working. We purchased an extended warranty for this item and was referred to an appliance repair company that ABC dealt with. On 6/7/16 the company finally came out and they determined what parts they needed to order. It is 6/19/16 and my refrigerator is still not repaired. Its ridiculous that I spent over $3000 on this refrigerator just to have it stop operating one week after the manufactures warranty. To matters worst I purchased an LG washer and dryer 10/15/15 only to have the washer and dryer both need repair work done. I am currently waiting on parts for the washer and since the repair man was out the dryer is now making a noise and is need of service. I will never purchase an LG appliance again. When you spend thousand of dollars on an appliance you expect it to last longer than 6 months.

Ive had my LG double oven gas range for two years. In that amount of time, we have had countless accidental turn-ons of the burners. We would be putting away dishes and smell propane...whoops, somebody bumped the knobs. Wed be preparing a salad and whoops...somebody bumped the knobs. Wed be walking by with laundry on the way past to the laundry room and whoops...somebody bumped the knob. Final straw, my son was cooking with his girlfriend making dinner for us all. She reached into a cabinet near the stove and bumped the burner knob. The front burner turned on and nearly caught her shirt on fire, right in front of me. This is ** ridiculous! We bought an LG gas stove LRG30355ST back in 2009-2010 and after a couple of months, the knobs started to crack in the back and falling off. Have had to pay for extended warranty to cover the cost, 106$ a knob is crazy. They just keep braking because they are made of plastic in the back instead of metal. LG Washer WT1101CW - Terrible washing machine. If you buy this washer, dont expect to wash a small, medium, or large size load in a reasonable time period. Constant uE errors, tub fills with more water to try to adjust, etc. Or, we just get the uE error and have to run down the stairs to rearrange the clothes. Regardless of how careful we are with loading/arranging the wash, what type of wash we put in, etc, we have constant uE errors. It can take up to 4 hours to do one medium size load. Ive since read that the control panel may be faulty? We have a tech coming this week. There may be a software update needed? Who knew? (How would I know this! I didnt get any kind of message saying that the software was out of date! ) This will be the 4th tech visit this year. In addition, just for ** and giggles, we decided to do a tub clean cycle. You guessed it. uE error! So, obviously, if the washer cant even function to do a tub clean with JUST WATER in it, theres something wrong with this product. Dont buy it. You WILL be sorry. Im sorry that I cant give zero stars in this review!

My LG LRE30755ST was taking forever to reach 350 and even then, when the digital panel reads 350, the actual temp inside was only 300. We accessed LGs website to maybe view an exploded diagram or to order parts, just something useful, but they only offered the lousy owners manual (which we already have). They said wed have to submit a repair service request and theyd put us in contact with a repair tech, which basically means they dont think we are smart enough to work on their crappy appliances! **! We researched an exploded diagram on AppliancePartsPros.com and ordered the thermometer through them (bless them!). When the location of the thermostat was not obvious, we called LG and simply asked them where the thermostat is located. They said they dont give out that information. I absolutely think LG is making a huge business error by not helping their customers. I dont give a crap when they say its for our safety because thats **! Unplug the stove and dont cut yourself on sharp edges, thats all the safety we need to know! I hate LG! I hate LG! I hate LG!

Boy, do I wish I had read this website 2+ years ago, when I decided to purchase this LG WT5070CW HE WaveForce top loader. I too was swayed by the glowing review from Consumer Reports. Ive been burned several times for following their recommendations, but thats a different story. This has to be the worst washing machine ever. I agree with everything everyone has already said. The bleach dispenser on my machine is also rusting (identical picture to the ones already posted).Ive had clothes come out with detergent still on them, dry spots where the water never even penetrated, all stains are still on the clothes. Ive re-washed, soaked, applied stain removers, etc... If theres any grease/oil component to the stain, you will still have it on your clothes -- even after the heavy duty cycle. Try to do a load of sheets (and Im talking about one set of sheets without the pillow cases) - they just float on the surface and never get pulled down into the tub of water. Come out stale smelling. I am so over this machine. How does something like this get foisted on the public? There are so many identical complaints. I could have written each one of these posted here. As I am merely reiterating that which has been said, I will stop. I have just purchased a Speed Queen top loader (old fashioned agitator type) that Ive never heard any negative reviews about. Its being delivered tomorrow morning. Hallelujah! I am donating this present piece of garbage to whomever wants it.

Bought LG LWS3063ST AT Best Buy / Order # **- delivered on 23th of February 23. Used first time 3 days after to discover that it does not bake properly and heating the drawer below too much (had a Frigidaire oven before with no heat of this drawer). Called the service immediately, however they were not willing to come, advised to try a couple of weeks. As the problem continued called the service again (March 15, booked an appointment for the 19th, sent the requested photos of the model and also included the picture of unbaked food. Called on 18th to confirm the date for next day, to my surprise service was not booked at all. They booked it again for the 20th and followed with the confirmation email with the phone # off the technician. I took day off and am waiting, called at noon to inquire when the tech is coming to discover that service not booked at all. Called the LG CS to be told that they did not have available technician in my area for today.

I purchased an LG gas range from Best Buy approximately 18 months ago. I have recently discovered the knobs have been well-documented as dangerous and we have had to replace all on our own. This complaint is regarding sparking on burners out of the blue! Sunday evening, my husband and I heard a clicking noise and when I entered the kitchen, the stove burners where sparking! The only way it would stop was to pull the stove out from the wall. Still sparking, it was unplugged and we turned off the gas. LG came out today and has no idea what caused this and doesnt know what to do about it. I was told to call them if it happens again. Thats if we are home and, God forbid, not asleep. This is so dangerous!

This machine (LG wt5480cw) has been nothing but trouble. The detergent draw stayed full of water after every load I purchased the extended warranty thru LG coverage until 2019. They sent out a repairman 4 times finally fixed it. Now the tub will not drain completely so I called for repair. This is their customer Julies reply. We have been out there 3 times under the warranty and I have used up the money on those other calls even though they were for the same problem. They kept opening a new claim number (which they should have not done it was the problem). Now we are going to buy out the service contract for $267.00 leaving me out in the cold when I thought I was safe until 2019.So what is the sense in buying extended warranty if they deduct the service calls from the original price of the washer until it surpasses it purchase price then youre screwed. I could have paid for the service call without their RIP OFF EXTENDED WARRANTY CRAP and been ahead. Now I have $267.00 to replace a $900 washer. Please do not buy the extended warranty or better yet DO NOT BUY ANY LG PRODUCTS.

Please learn from my mistake. In January 2018 I purchase over $6200 worth of LG products (Stove, Microwave, Refrigerator, Washer & Dryer). Within the first month, the stove started to smell like it had a gas leak. We called their repairman and he couldnt find anything. We kept smelling gas and called him back and he still couldnt find the problem. We had to turn off the gas after each use because we felt leaving it on was such a hazard. After 12 months, the microwave stove working. Now the refrigerator. We just purchased a different brand stove which works great! We have a LG graveyard started, its just a matter of time before the rest of the appliances end up there.

Over the years we have had a number of refrigerator brands and have never had any major problems. Our LG refrigerator has lasted less than 2 years and after 4 weeks of dealing with this company we are still without a refrigerator. The unit stopped cooling and we called customer service. Seeing that it was a refrigerator we thought a day or 2 and it would be repaired. It took a week for their service rep from A & E Appliance Repair to arrive. It looks like this company has some connection to Sears. Then another week went by before a part arrived. Looking at the control board that arrive it had broken clips and it didnt look new. A few days later a service rep arrived and installed this part, no change no cooling. He indicated he would have to order another board. At the time didnt think this might just be a scam of sending out a used board. After 2 more weeks they are saying it is on back order and dont know when it will be available. The conversation is turning to buying a service contract. I have now spoke with 10-15 reps in LG customer service and a number have indicated they will expedite the process and get back to us. Never happens. You can never get back to the last person you talked to. I have seen some references to a class action law suit. This looks like the only hope anyone who has purchased an LG product has to recover the loss.

Our current problem is that the freezer stopped cooling and now the refrigerator isn’t able to keep a normal temperature. Of course, this happened shortly after we took an expensive Covid-style trip to the grocery store, so we are slowly losing hundreds of dollars in food. We suspect it’s the compressor. We’ve struggled with this fridge since we bought it. For the first year, we had issues with it making unusually loud noises. After hours and hours of service visits and calls, they replaced the compressor. Now it seems like the “new” compressor is failing after about 18 months. The size and physical design of the fridge is great, but not worth the headaches.

What a disappointment!! A few years back my husband and I purchased new LG appliances for the kitchen and also a washer and dryer - all LG products. Paid a PREMIUM price - all the bells and whistles. From day one there has been nothing but headaches with every item we purchased. From the interior finish in the oven flaking (LG and Home Depot would do NOTHING to help us. We had to purchase new range!!), to the microwave falling apart, the drying faulting out and now this horrible washing machine!! Between the mold this machine creates (yes, I leave everything open and wipe it down after each load), not always working correctly (gets confused...) now the drain motor needs to be replaced which has been estimated at $300 parts and labor!!! This is ridiculous!!! What a piece of junk and SHAME on LG and HOME DEPOT for not producing/selling reputable products and standing behind those products!! As you all know, these items are not cheap!

We also purchased LG washer/dryer (high-end stainless steel). Washer is ok, but we have experienced same problems as many others. The dryer LG Tromm DLE2501 never dried clothes correctly. It takes 90 minutes to dry an average load of clothes. An energy star product it is not. The repair guy gave us the same ** about the vent being dirty or clogged. Never was the case. Actually it sounds like the repair guy was reading off a script. The second time to the house, the repair guy stated that the dryer was operating as designed. The real problem is that Home Depot is selling this stuff. Home Depots reps are promoting this stuff, and LG doesnt stand behind their product. Drum is cracked, and the lint stays trapped.

We remodeled our house a little over two years ago, and my wife bought new LG appliances for the kitchen including a dishwasher, electric cook top range, microwave and refrigerator. I like the fact that when you get water out of the refrigerator door, it comes out fast. When it went out, it took almost two weeks to get done, and that’s the only complaint I have. We’re retired and we can’t afford to go out every meal, so we lived out of coolers and one small hundred-dollar refrigerator for a month. When the repairman brought the compressor in, he informed us that he puts a lot of compressors into LGs. In fact, he finished up with us at 8:00 in the evening he was here, and he went on to do another one before he went home.

On July 10, 2016 we purchased an LG refrigerator model # LFX25973D and serial # 602TRRC1Q486. I am disappointed because the product does not work properly. I have contacted LG multiple times and cannot get a satisfactory resolution to our problems. My first contact with LG was to fix an ice maker issue. LG dispatched a repairman on September 27, 2016. They adjusted the temperature and checked the ice chute, but this did not solve the issue so I called them and they came back out on 10/5/16. We had to call LG back to reschedule another repair order and the repairman was dispatched again on 10/18/16. They ordered 2 parts for the refrigerator, a dispenser ice door and a dispenser motor. The motor was shipped, but the ice door was not available at the time. We waited a couple of weeks and had not heard back from LG so we called them again and told them the work had not been completed due to not having the parts requested. They told us they would reissue another work order. We were expecting the same company to come back out but several days later a different company called to schedule an appointment and they came out on 11/25/16 and determined that they needed to replace the left door. The door was ordered and they came back out on 12/7/16 to do the warranty work.Around the end of December during the Christmas holiday the ice maker started acting up again and due to the holiday activities we held off calling LG until after the first of the year. During the 1st week of January we noticed that ice was starting to form on food in the refrigerator so we called LG again and told them that the ice maker was still not working properly and that there was another issue with food freezing in the refrigerator. We were told to adjust the temperature up in the refrigerator a little to avoid freezing and that someone would be dispatched for the ice maker again. We were getting frustrated at this point and requested that we get a replacement, however we were told that was not an option and that they needed to try to repair not replace the appliance. Each time we had to call there was a 3-5 day period of time to schedule the appointment and then another 3-5 days if parts were ordered, but this particular time we had not heard from a repairman for almost 2 weeks so we called the repair company to see if a work order had been scheduled and they told me that it had not. We called LG again to find out what the holdup was and we were informed that no work order had been scheduled and they would issue one, but it would take another 3-5 days to get it scheduled. I let them know that the refrigerator was not working at all and we lost all the food in our refrigerator due to freezing, including the new water filter that we just installed. LG did send me 2 new water filters to replace the cracked one. On February 3, 2017 we received a call from the 3rd different appliance repair company to come out and look at the refrigerator. When he arrived I told him all the issues we had been having and he determined that it needed a new main board to fix the issue of the temperature in the refrigerator and noted that the sensor was not replaceable. He did not look at the ice maker and said all ice makers have issues with ice freezing together and that I should just periodically open the ice door and shake the tray. He came back out on February 8, 2017 and installed the main board and informed me that if this didnt fix the problem not to call him again because he would not know what else to do. We set a bowl of water in the refrigerator just to check it out and it was frozen in the morning so I called LG again and was told they would schedule another repair order. Once again I asked if they could just give us a replacement instead of trying to fix this appliance as I had no confidence that this appliance would ever be fixed and that I had no intentions of paying for service calls after my warranty expired in about 5 months. Once again I was informed that this was not an option and that they needed to get the repairman on the phone with their field technicians to solve the problem. On February 14, 2017 the 4th different repairman was sent to look at our refrigerator. This time they took the refrigerator apart and at first told me that he felt like it could not be fixed. He said that the damper was staying open allowing the freezer air to reach the refrigerator, but he called LGs Field Support and they supposedly walked him through it and thought that it had fixed the problem. At this point he could not check the ice maker issue since we could not get any water to the door because of the frozen water lines. When he left I put another bowl of water in the refrigerator and several hours later noticed that ice was starting to form in the bowl and that now the refrigerator was showing an error message of F5 on the door. I went online to chat with LG about what the error message was and I was informed that it meant that the freezer sensor was bad and would need repair service. I immediately called LG again and told them that I wanted a refund or a replacement and was put off again. The supervisor told me that if I would hold on she would contact the repairman. When she came back online with me she told me that the repairman couldnt find anything wrong with my unit, we called her out on this and said, One of you is lying to us, because he was here for about 3 hours and thoroughly discussed all the issues he saw. Then she said that he didnt find anything that needed parts replaced and that she had dispatched him to come back out first thing in the morning of the 15th to address the error message. I was expecting a call the next day, but never received one so I called the repairman myself and he told me that he had not been dispatched yet. He asked me if I wanted him to come by to look at it and I told him with all the issues that weve had with LG that without a work order not to come.I called LG back and told them once again that a work order that was supposed to have been issued was not and that I was not interested in any more service calls and that I wanted a replacement. I was once again told that it wasnt an option so I informed the supervisor that their warranty said repair or replace and that after 8 service calls and fooling around with this issue since September that I felt like we had given LG ample opportunity to repair our refrigerator. I closed our conversation by letting her know that if they were not going to replace the refrigerator that I would seek resolution through the court system. On 2/15/17 I spoke with an executive supervisor at LG to let them know that I had filed the suit because I had not received any satisfaction from LGs Customer Service Department. She sent me a link so I could send her a copy of my receipt which I did thinking that maybe she would take care of replacing the appliance and I would drop the lawsuit, however we have had no further communications to this point.

We purchased our LG electric range model LRE3023ST in November 2012 and the buttons have stopped working now 3 times. Each time a repairman came out; however it works intermittently so when it stopped working on a Sunday and the repairman comes on Wednesday, and it has since begun working again, they do nothing. Once it was not working when repairman came and they replaced all the electronics, which worked only for a short time before happening again. It is completely unreliable and I never know if it will work. I cannot understand how LG can get away with selling stoves that dont work. Similar models have been recalled but not yet this one, but LG obviously has issues with the buttons on their stoves. Three times I have prepared dinner only to find out I cannot use my range. LG is not at all helpful. I will never purchase LG or any appliance from Home Depot.

I bought a new microwave to last us (pensioners) a couple of years. The bottom where the rollers for the glass plate run, rusted through in two and a half years and just today, it started a pyrotechnic display behind the mica cover inside the oven, actually creating fireworks in there. I am so angry about this poor quality oven. I feel like making a video in which I would demolish it with a heavy hammer or chainsaw and splashing it all over the Internet. My previous Litton lasted 12 years. This is really a hopeless product. I will never ever buy an LG product again.

Purchased a new LG, LFX31925ST on 4/08/2014, delivered 4/28/2014; ongoing problems with ice maker. When we called, we had to push buttons on ice maker to reset. It would work for a short time, called back, we had to push buttons to reset. This was extremely difficult as we both have arthritis. Finally on May 2015, they did extend warranty as it was on-going. A new ice maker installed. Lasted approx 3 mos. Called back, offered to send repair but at our expense. $3200 for a new refrigerator for our new home. Ridiculous!!! There has to be a recall on this appliance. We will NEVER purchase LG again!!

Now they wont even answer our emails or calls, now dont buy an LG product.

I had problems with my LG Washer and Dryer. The supervisor told me, after only 1 year, they dont stand behind anything but the motor in the washer. So now Im faced with buying a new one after just spending $1,500.00 or fix the machine yearly (yeah crazy right?) So, I would like to just warn everyone buying these machines. Dont do it. Please spend a couple more dollars on a good product from Kenmore. You will save time, money, and aggravation. I will personally never buy anything from LG not because all their stuff is junk, but because they dont stand behind their products. I hope this review is helpful to people thinking about buying from this 29 billion dollar company that is just out here to make a fast buck and doesnt care about the consumer buying the products they make.

We bought an LG French door refrigerator in late 2017 and it worked without too many major issues, until October of 2020. In October, it suddenly stopped cooling. We called LG to have repairs made under the 3 year warranty. After many delays, they found a repair company in our area to come out to do the repair. They said it was the compressor, ordered a new one and replaced it. The refrigerator still doesnt work. We have been without a refrigerator now for over two months (for a four person household). I have called LG nearly every day, for the past 6 weeks. I have been elevated to the Executive Service response team. What a joke. I receive a different answer every time I call. After about a month of trying to find an authorized repair person to look at the refrigerator again, LG finally agreed to simply submit a claim for Alternate resolution; i.e. replacing the refrigerator. The claim has been submitted now at least 4 times; there is still no decision on whether or not they will honor our warranty. Every time I call (nearly every day now) I am provided with another excuse as to why there is no decision. This has been the worst consumer experience of my life.

My 80 yr old parents bought an LG high end fridge 2 1/2yrs ago with an extended 5yr warranty. Nothing but problems. First was a seal (I believe) than it became very noisy, so noisy my father could hear it without his hearing aids! Now the entire fridge/freezer won’t cool! Compressor was replaced with no improvement. Now they are completely without a fridge for 3 weeks!!! They were offered a temp fridge, but there is no room for one. 80 years old and no fridge - unacceptable!!!! This fridge is obviously a lemon - they just want a new fridge and no one will help them. We purchased an LG washer in July of 2014. I have not liked it from the start - tub is too deep, fills with very little water to wash clothes, feel clothes are not clean. The washer broke on July 30 and repairman from Sears, where we purchased washer and dryer, came the next day. He advised us that valve was broken so water was running in constantly. He told us he would have to order it from South Korea (what?). Not acceptable but he could not order it in U.S. I called Sears Parts and was told they had the part and would send to us. The part arrived on August 3, and the next day two more valves arrived from Texas. I called tech dept but was told our tech had set August 10 for repair and they could not change that!! How screwed up is this? Never purchase LG again nor will I purchase appliances from Sears. Totally disgusted. Tqq.

They said weld broke on drum. $800 for parts not worth fixing. Single man after 5 years. I needed a fridge at the time it seemed like it was it the best quality fridge out there for the initial price so I really cant complain. It really does run well and efficient. The ice machine is my favorite part. Also the fact that it is a stainless steel appliance means it is easy to clean and just be wiped off for a fast and easy finish. Its an ok fridge all around but the cons would be it smudges easily. I have kids so that is a big concern with me since I dont want people coming over to my house and seeing a dirty fridge people would think Im a slob who doesnt clean my own house. Also the ice machine can be pretty loud but all around its an ok fridge so I dont have any major complaints.

I run the cleaner through the cycle, clean the seals and drum and keep the door open to dry. Its unbelievable how poorly designed this machine is. A washer that dirties your clothes. Along with an LG refrigerator which I have already discussed at the same time, I also bought an LG washer and dryer. All the LG appliances were rated high so we felt they were a smart purchase. Not so. After 2 years, the washing machine needed new bearings with a cost of $700.00 to repair. Now, there are only two of us, no children so we barely use the washing machine. For this machine to work only two years is clearly a manufacturers defect. The LG engineers are designing these appliances not to last and they dont. I called LG customer service and they could care less about my problem. They basically told me to take a walk. I will never buy anything from LG again.

Bought this machine did about 10 loads (very lg. cap.) then had to move. Just before moving I received a letter from LG, didnt open it just put it in the lower drawer of the front load dryer bought at the same time. Had to put unit in storage for a little over a year. Finally got it set up again (both times moved by professional movers). The dryer was missing a leg, and when I read the letter it said dont use the washer unsafe and there is a recall. Wait to do laundry. He comes out switches a elec. board and tells me the life of the unit is about 5 yrs. They are filling our landfills and should have bought a Maytag simple unit with no bells and buzzers, will outlast anything! Do a load of colors and had a DL code pop. Played with shutting it off and got it to work. Two weeks later a load of white (all my undergarments). Come down in the AM before work on Friday and all the lights are on with the same code. Played with it the same way but nothing. DL code is door lock. Get out the guide and it tells me the unit needs service. Now Im pissed need to be at work and all my undergarments are locked in the machine. Call LG and speak with Sue with a Philippine accent, I could go on about this but wont. She tells me it needs service for sure its no longer under warranty and it will cost $89 and they could have someone out Monday. I hit the roof. This machine did about 10 loads before storage, since then had to be serviced before my first load and now needs to be fixed on the 2nd! What am I to do call in? Go and buy new underwear? When Sue came back to tell me she checked and the soonest service could be done was Monday and asked those? She said, Do you want me to see if someone can come out sooner? I thought thats what you were doing! I was thinking, What do you do in the Philippines go to work in dirty underwear?! Supervisor comes in at 8am so we will see? By the way the dry leg ordered also by a Philippine lady came wrong and reordered what I was told is now the right one?! I WONT BUY LG AGAIN! DONT BUY LG! LG SUCKS!

I thought it was no level, leveled it... OOH EE OOH EE UE... I thought it was too many clothes. OOH EEE OOOH EEEE. It is a big joke now between my wife and I although irritating. What good is a high-efficiency washer that uses 50 gallons of water (I am not sure of that amount but it fills the drum 3 times to balance) every time you do a load of laundry. I am sending this one to the junk pile soon. You shouldnt have to buy a new washer every 3 years. Actually this one should have been scrapped a year and a half ago. I think they have the initials backwards LG should be GL... Good Luck!

Bought this French door LG refrigerator in May 2015 model number- LFXS307668. Paid 3200.00 for it. Leaking water on the floor, not cooling, all food ruined. Been through much of what the others have noted. Run around from LG. Told by a certified LG repairman he has received at least 30 calls this week with the same issue- freon leak, compressor, evaporator, etc. Huge cost to repair. Quoted 700.00 for labor only, no warranty after 90 days from repair and it can easily take a month to get parts as they are backlogged. What a money pit! We purchased a $3000 LG refrigerator in August of 2015, Model LFXS30726S, and it is a horrible design. It fails completely every 16 weeks. The fridge seems really nice, but 4 months later, it failed on Christmas Day. Frost builds up around the fan and doesnt properly defrost, causing it to fail. LG serviced the unit for the first 2 Failures, and now it has failed again. 3 times in 14 months. Lucky for LG, their warranty is for 1 year, and now they will not service or repair the defective unit. This design was flawed from day 1! It just takes 4 months for the fan to wear out. And each time we have to borrow a spare fridge, move all of our food, and wait for service. They even had a service bulletin regarding this issue, and so they replaced the back inside panel which was supposed to fix the problem. Guess what... it did not help at all. DO NOT BUY LG Refrigerators! THEY EITHER DONT KNOW HOW TO DESIGN PROPERLY, OR THEY DONT TEST THEM. I am filing a complaint with the Dept of Trade and Consumer Protection, under the grounds that the fridge did not live up to its intended purpose: Keeping food cold.

On the day of the appointment we called the service only to be told that he was too busy and that LG did not send him the parts which he needed to do the repair. July 16, 2014, we had our new LG stainless steel refrigerator delivered to our home and we were so excited. That excitement was short lived. It had been a few days before I could get to remove the plastic sheeting that was on the front of the doors and when I did start to remove the plastic sheeting I noticed there were small rust spots going down both side of the door. First I thought that stainless steel should not be rusting, and then said to my husband there are more spots all over the sides of the door. I then placed a call to Home Depot Store and informed them of the rust spots and that I wanted them to fix the problem. Home Depot told us to call LG. We placed a call to LG and were informed they DO NOT FIX COSMETIC problems. It was delivered like this.Home Depot had a local Refrigerator repair company come to look at the Rust on the side of my new refrigerator door; even this repairman was baffle as to what could have caused the rust spots. This repairman couldnt remove the spots after spending more than hour in my home. We got the run around for most of the first day and for four weeks following the first phone call. We called Home Depot back and threatened to return this new LG Refrigerator to the front doors of Home Depot and or report this unhappily experience to the local media outlets. We have finally been informed Home Depot will take care of this problem. Its been over two months since we purchased this rust bucket and the rusty refrigerator is still in my kitchen. Moral of the story, DONT PURCHASE LG. We learned the hard way, LG does not stand behind their products and is not customer friendly.

I was told by the appliance repair service that LG is a high end range. I had GE ranges and they lasted 10 years plus. This stove worked for less than 3 years. Original cost is $1,000, plus repairs of $200 divided by years equals $400 a year. Very expensive for a lousy quality appliance. LG and Best Buy should be investigated for selling lemons.

Bought LGs top end fridge in 2011. Had multiple issues with ice maker working, compressor within the first year. The LG technician ruined our wood floor and left dents all over it, which LG has paid for refinishing. Weve put up with not having enough ice from the beginning. BUT, this past weekend the ice maker quit, then the rest of the fridge stopped working. Had to throw out tons of food. This was on a Saturday night, 7/20. We bought an extended warranty. Weve gone through the proper channels and the contracted repair company cannot come to look at the fridge until 7/30. I have to wait 10 days for service and be without a refrigerator. That is unacceptable! Shame on LG for charging huge fees for crappy products. Shame on Nebraska Furniture Mart for selling extended contracts to sub par repair companies that treat a warranty like a welfare recipient. Shame on Mega Performance, the extended warranty provider and shame on Mr. Appliance in Overland Park, KS. Today is 7/22 and we are trying to figure out a plan and get this resolved, quickly. I was told by a repairman about two refrigerator brands to buy, saying they have less returns and less repairs. And so, I went with the LG. The refrigerator looks really nice and I was happy with it, but it wasn’t even two years old and it broke twice. I’m very dissatisfied with it. It quit getting cold, and ruined my groceries twice. When it started ruining my food, I thought it was just the food. I didn’t notice it as it took a little while to warm up. And then come to find out it would start melting my ice cream. It was a little over a year when it first went out. I called Lowe’s, where I bought it, and then they turned anything to get it fixed. Then in less than three months, the refrigerator did it again. I called again, and then I had to wait quite some time for the parts to come in.The compressor went out and something else along with it. And so, when they fixed it the second time, they had to redo everything, and put something else in there. LG has a good warranty on certain parts of the refrigerator. But we paid $3,800 for that. Its working now, and it works nicely, but I don’t trust it anymore because it went out twice. I wouldn’t buy another one because of the problems that I had with them.

Since purchasing this refrigerator just a few years ago and thinking it would be great only a few months afterwards came the first compressor failure. Having to call customer service somewhere Across the Universe and get in touch with anyone who is willing to come out and fix it was a chore. Apparently most repair places do not want to work with LG because of these issues and their difficulty in compliance. And when they came out and checked it then the compressor took weeks to get there. Each time. This happened at least three more times and I think four because one time they claimed it was something else but three times it has been a compressor failure. So much so that the technician who came recently to the house actually had a compressor on his truck because he said nine times out of 10 the refrigerator has a compressor failure again and again so they are carrying them on their trucks. We have gone weeks and weeks without a refrigerator. I have never in my life had a refrigerator with such poor service. In fact never had to deal with anything with any of my refrigerators until this expensive supposedly excellent refrigerator. I promise I will never again purchase another one of these and I am insisting my husband get in touch with the manufacturers to replace this refrigerator as it has now failed on all counts and MEETS CRITERIA FOR THE LEMON LAW and it is a TOTAL LEMON.***It is impossible to deal with something that is going to ruin your food over and over again and leave you without any recourse until someone gets there again to fix it and you never know when its going to happen. BUT you do know its going to happen and it will happen and probably sooner than later. Debra Asheville NC

After much research and review we purchased the 6.3 cu. ft. Capacity Electric Single Oven Range with True Convection and EasyClean. He ordered it on December 29, 2014 and it was delivered in February 2015. Apparently it was not constructed until January of 2015. So I was excited for a brand new stove. I am an avid baker and love to cook. So having this stove was exciting!Fast forward to October 19, 2016. Woke up early and went to heat water for tea. My LED screen had a time on it that was incorrect, so I tried to update the clock. Nothing worked. I freaked out and checked all the circuit breakers etc. Nothing then the screen went black. Fast forward to today, when they could finally come out to look at it. I need a new panel...Shocker. Its not even two years old. Good thing is that I purchased an extended warranty. But I have been without a stove for 7 days and it will be an additional 10 days until the part comes in. My guess is that this is a common problem. This is my first and LAST LG purchase. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Ms. **, said she’d talk to her supervisor about a one-week warranty extension and never called back after three follow-up calls. Other repairmen told me that the parts and schematics for the fridge are not available to any servicemen, not a LG tech. There are very few techs in my area and many other areas as well. Poor service, poor reliability, and dreary repair network available. It’s a problem appliance.

We have the French door fridge from Sears but unfortunately its an LG which we have had for 2 1/2 years. At 6 mos old it leaked all over my brand new cupboards, they came and fixed it saying it was a part missing but sent it out anyway. Now the compressor is gone but have said there isnt a warranty because Sears didnt buy an extended warranty. How am I supposed to know that because Sears is closed. I explained that the fridge is only 2 1/2 years old and they just repeat the same thing over and over. It is a terrible product and the customer service is terrible. I lost a lot of food but again, they dont care. I will tell everyone I know to stay away from any LG product.

I liked the finger proof texture. The body of the fridge had the silver style. Really looks good in my kitchen next to my other similar style appliances. The refrigerator section holds a lot more than the refrigerator that it replaced. But I disliked the drawer on the bottom. It seemed not to hold much and everything just ended up being piled on top of each other. It just wasnt as convenient as I thought it would be for my size family. So I started looking on reviews about other brands. LG has always had a good reputation on other products of that brand I own. Ive had some good luck with their brand but all in all I think I will be looking into other companies next time I need a refrigerator.

We purchased new elec. range and they did come out and replace glass in oven door. We purchased a microwave and the bottom of handle broke loose after warranty (have superglued in place). We purchased a dishwasher and the rollers on the upper rack keep breaking loose. This was all done within the last 5 years and only warranty was oven door glass. We are now in the process of replacing all appliances with a different brand and never to buy another LG product.

I purchased the LG washer in 2013 using recommendations from Consumer Reports. The washer ran constantly until I had to control the cycles. It reminded me of the wringer washer that my mother used in the 1950’s. I had to set a timer to remind me to reset the machine. I was not satisfied with the cleaning quality of the machine. Finally, in 2016, I gave up, gave the LG away and bought a Whirlpool, which has met my expectations for a quality machine.

She also has this problem. When calling LG to see if I could have my tech fix it I was told the only solution was to have a certified LG repair person come to my home. Customer service at LG had no idea what I was talking about. In a search online I found how to fix the issue and also read this is a common issue with LG french door refrigerators. $1,200 estimate from an authorized LG repair person made me rethink buying another LG product. I will fix it myself and do more research on companies that stand behind their products.

I purchased an LG French door refrigerator from H.H.Gregg 3/14/2015, I paid 3,023.99. June 2015, the freezer broke froze up and all my frozen food defrosted. I called H.H Gregg, they said that since the refrigerator was not yet a year old, that I would have to deal with L.G. I called L.G. They sent someone out to repair the fridge, he had to thaw out the ice with a hair dryer, said that the fan motor was gone, he ordered a part took a week to get it. He then came back out, put the fan motor on. It worked until November 2015, I came home about 11 pm, water all over the floor, everything in my refrigerator and freezer melted or spoiled. I again called HH Gregg. Once again they told me to call L.G. I called them, told them it was broke again, they told me it would be 8 to 10 days for someone to come out.I tried to talk to these people, they sent me to a call center overseas, they said they would not replace the unit. I then called the executive center in Alabama, worst customer service ever. It is now three weeks later, 4 dates before thanksgiving, still no fridge. Finally a LG tech came out, said it needed a new computer, a new compressor, and that there were some more problems. 5 hours later he took photos and left. Said beyond repair. Next day he calls, said they were not going to replace it and that he had to try to fix it. I called L.G. back, they were horrible, said I didnt have a choice they were not replacing it. So now the tech has it back together. Said he hopes it works. I will never buy another LG product, I would discourage anyone from buying LG. The worst People to deal with!

We bought an LG refrigerator despite people telling me their appliances are bad and had problems almost from day one. The poor service guy from the place we bought it was over daily to try and fix our ice maker. Bottom line, we have to pull out the unit about 1/2 an inch or the thing that lets the ice fall down wont close. It gets better. Today I took out the bottom glass shelf that goes above the crisper drawers and put it in the sink (with no water). When I went to separate the glass from the plastic shelf, it sits on it shattered into a thousand pieces all over me (cutting me) and my kitchen. As a courtesy, LG will send me a new piece of glass! My stainless steel sink is still filled with glass as I dont want to scratch the sink while removing it. LG should replace the whole refrigerator.

I purchased an LG microwave for nearly $250.00 and its been replaced twice by Home Depot, making this the third unit to electrically fail with smoke coming from its internals after only a 45 second operating cycle. LG was contacted and initially stated that I would be responsible for taking the faulty unit to their authorized repair center in Chino Hills, Ca. - about 15 or 20 miles from my home - and pay for the repair.I informed them that I had taken the liberty of visiting this website and discovered that there appears to be some sort of electrical defect in their microwave considering the number of failures, the description of the failures and the short period of time between its purchase and the apparent electrical collapse of their product. In my experience, an item with a record this poor should be on some sort of safety recall list before it causes an injury or fire, but Ive not been advised of any such recall by either of the two customer service personnel I contacted during the course of our conversations on August 21, 2015.After being placed on hold for an eternity, and refusing to be blown off with what I can only describe as double speak, I informed the initial customer service person and the subsequent one that here in California there are regulations in place to protect consumers against abuses by big corporations with a bait and switch approach to consumer sales. According to this customer service contact, LG boasts their Magnetron has a 10 year warranty but to capitalize on this claim, the consumer must first pay for the labor involved which usually is a large portion of the initial cost of the unit!I have opened a claim or case # of ** with the assisting personnel who now report that there will be either a refund/credit or replacement within 6-8 weeks but they could not elaborate on which. In the interim, Im left without a microwave for the duration. If LG does the right thing, Ill report it, if not Ill provide that information as well.

I bought $4000 LG refrigerator LRMDC2306S in November 2020. It started giving me a problem with ice making and cooling from mid January, even less than 2 months. Then it completely stopped working on 2/7/2021. I had to throw so much food on Super Bowl Sunday morning. The CL E error code on the control panel turned out to be an issue with a compressor. The part is even backordered for 2 months. I requested a replacement. I didn’t want to deal with the repair since it is definitely a lemon with a major defect. This appliance is not reliable. It will give the same problem over and over even with the replacement of the compressor. Who wants to exchange a compressor at a brand new $4000 worth refrigerator?! Pacific Sales manager was no help. I talked to many people at Best Buy customer service. They didn’t want to do anything for a customer since their 15 day return period was over and I didn’t buy their Geek Squad protection. I was told LG’s replacement or reimbursement process takes up to 6 weeks and the approval is not even guaranteed. They may attempt to repair first. I have already lived without a refrigerator for a month and now I am unsure of how long I have to live more without it. I have been calling LG customer service 3-4 times every week for a month to follow up. I have to repeat myself whenever I call for 30-40 mins because the notes are not complete and they don’t have a matching report from a tech side. Return authorization department is never connected even with an hour wait. It is ridiculous you get to use a refrigerator only for 2 months and you don’t get any help or support despite $4000 spent on an appliance with a major defect. I’m so frustrated with all the inconvenience caused by this refrigerator. I hope Best Buy and LG build up a better follow up system and prompt return service for defective products.

June 2017, with no clue its just stop being refrigerator, ice not produce, not cool only one thing works is lighting. Called customer service right away, they question me if I have warranty? Yes 1 year warranty. If this case happens 10-20 years later it means this refrigerator already do their jobs, but only 2 years? Dont you think it something wrong might happen with their production? Its not like you bought a car, which is depending on how fast you drive, how aggressive you drive, care taking. But refrigerator what I only do is put food into refrigerator thats it. This refrigerator cost 1.5 k not some hundred dollar. I made a decision to purchase LG brands because I think that I could TRUST them. LG team gave me time to fix this on July 29th which is I could not accept this. I would like to get a same new working refrigerator or higher immediately or full refund so I can buy a refrigerator to keep my food cold and because I feel like I pay too much for this refrigerator that only working for 2 years. The dishwasher does not clean the dishes, and the soap dispenser always has caked on soap residue. As of this date, I have not had an oven for over a month. I purchased my LG dishwasher (Model LDF7774SD) in May 2016. It is less than a year old. Starting in February 2017, the dishwasher started having issues. The soap tablet compartment does not dispense the soap tablet, leaving the dishes as dirty as when they were loaded. I have tried liquid as well and after the cycle is finished and you open the door it is running down the inside of the door. LG sent a serviceman to repair the dishwasher twice, and it is still not operating. He replaced the motor as well as some other parts. I have placed nine calls to their customer support center, with no resolution. They keep stating they are sorry for the inconvenience, but refuse to replace the unit.Today May 21, 2017, I contacted them again, since I have not heard from them. First I was directed to their customer service in the Philippines then to their operation in the Bahamas and then to their support center in Costa Rica and back to the Philippines. You can barely understand the representatives. They are more concerned with updating their system notes than correcting the problem and providing good customer service. I asked to speak to their engineering or quality control department, but was told they have no way to contact them, and could not provide a phone number. In addition to the soap not dispensing, dishes fall over when going through the cycle, as the tines are spaced too far apart. Many of the glasses after they fall over, fill with water, and surprise when you open the door... water everywhere. When I spoke to a customer service supervisor, and asked him what I should do until/if they repair or replace the unit, he said I guess you will need to wash them by hand. I have never dealt with a company like this before. I will be submitting a complaint with the BBB. Forget about contacting the number listed on the web, for the North American Corporate office. You cant reach anyone. If you try to leave a message, it states the voicemail is full. I will never buy another appliance from LG. (Life is Good) NOT! If I could give them a negative rating I would. You would be very wise to stay away from this company. Why any retail store would carry their line of appliances is beyond me.

We are extremely dissatisfied with LGs customer service and lack of commitment to honoring its product warranty. We gave the experience a one star rating as it was the lowest option in order to continue this review, but we would assign a negative rating if that was an option. We bought an entire suite of LG kitchen appliances in 2013. The fridge stopped cooling at the beginning of May, 2019. Since that time, we have paid for service calls by two different repair companies and have made numerous phone calls to LG in an attempt to resolve this problem. LG has agreed that the parts are covered under warranty, but they no longer carry one of the parts (an evaporator). One of their representatives advised us that we could have them try and obtain the part from a third party or file an appeal for a defective unit. After determining that the part through the third party was on backorder and would take at least three weeks to obtain, with no guarantee as to an exact delivery date, we elected to file the appeal. At that point, we had been without a refrigerator for over a month, Several more weeks have gone by. Despite assurances from LG that we would be contacted, we had to call them multiple times for a status update and had to submit the appeal more than once. When we called a few days ago to once again to determine the status of our appeal, we were advised that it had been rejected the week prior (again, nobody from LG contacted us). They claim the appeal was rejected because the part is available through the third party (even though is is on backorder for at least another three weeks). We are fed up with this whole process! We never expected to have to replace a refrigerator that is just 6 1/2 years old - our prior refrigerators each lasted over 20 years. We were hoping that since LG no longer carries the parts necessary to honor their warranty, they would honor a defective unit appeal with at least some type of discounted price on a replacement refrigerator. In researching this issue on the internet, we have seen numerous complaints about LG refrigerators with faulty compressors and poor customer service from LG in attempting to get the problem resolved. Think twice before purchasing a product from LG... We will certainly never buy anything else manufactured by this company.

I would rearrange the clothes, press the Start button and hope for the best. Finally called LG and the response was that they would email me directions on how to balance the machine. Thats it?! Luckily I had purchased an extended warranty plan. The Lowes Service Advantage rep was very nice and set up an appointment with the local appliance repair tech. He arrived today and asked (1) had I had any service before and (2) did I know about a recall? No to both questions. He explained that he would order parts and set up an appointment for next week. So far today Ive had uE messages on all my loads of laundry. I replaced the compressor last September and now another one has gone out! My refrigerator is only 5 years old. This is ridiculous and outrageously expensive. My understanding from multiple sources is that LG is aware of issues with a weld in their compressors--and probably other things--especially in certain models. We purchased our LG front loading washing machine in November of 2006. Within a few months, we also started having the clothes smelling badly, especially dark colored clothing. One week ago, the washer stopped spinning. We replaced the part. This week, the washer wont even turn on. I called the company for the second time. They chose to offer me a phone number of the closest repairperson (like I cant find that myself). I asked to file a complaint. As of today, I have had no one email or call me back. I emailed the company. Still, I heard nothing. These appliances are very expensive and should be lasting a lot longer than 5 years. I bought my washer and dryer a few years ago. About a month, maybe less from the first use my washer would drain out all over the floor. I couldnt figure out why. I read the troubleshooting manual and found it had a drain. So now every other day I drain it in a bucket so it doesnt leak ALL over my floor. I shouldnt have to drain my washer... it shouldnt leak. A few weeks after my washer started leaking my dryer stopped drying. I did all the vent cleaning and it didnt help. I found one setting that will dry my clothes. I have to put it on cotton/towels for 1 hr to dry a small load or a large load. That is the only setting that works. Now my dryer has been making a loud noise for months, my clothes have also been getting caught and all my tank tops straps get stretched and ripped. I just took a good look inside and the drum is not only cracked, a big piece is broken off. After reading all the trouble people have trying to get help from LG I will not bother. I am going to buy a new set NOT MADE BY LG... I can no longer deal with trying to get laundry done for a family of 5 with useless appliances.

Put food in microwave, pressed the EZ ON BUTTON which will heat food for 30 seconds. The microwave started for about 1 second and then immediately just died. After about a minute it powered on was asking for the clock setting. It acted like it does when the power goes out. This microwave did this one time yesterday also. I entered and set the clock time and then input 1 minute time and, almost as soon as I pressed the start button, the microwave died again only this time it did not revive. It appears to be completely dead and is only about 16 months old (purchased October 2014). This is the first LG appliance I have ever owned and likely will be the last. I paid good money for this appliance and wish I hadnt thrown out the old one. It was rusted some inside but had been working for almost 20 years!! This stainless microwave model number(s) listed on instruction booklet: LCRT2010ST, LSRM2010ST. So very disappointed. Made in China. Maybe thats why.

I have contacted LG 4 times and they have never called me back. My fridge over time seems to have slowly gotten these dents... bumps... I am not sure if it is from suction of the fridge. Or if there is a space behind that is not solid (I have no idea) but this ABSOLUTELY WAS NOT done by us. We take VERY good care of our stuff... My mother had a fridge that basically did this same thing over time. When I called LG they said it is cosmetic and they will not help me. I do not like the look of this obviously, so I asked them to at least give me a price on a new door. (both sides if you can see are dented. 3 dents on one door. 1 on the other just above the linear emblem) They still have not gotten back to me on this either. DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE...
