I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator 2.5 years ago. I didnt have terrible problems with it until now. However, the freezer & ice making were never totally acceptable. Now, the fan is making a very loud noise every time the fan comes on. The repairmen Ive spoken to universally say that Im lucky that the refrigerator has lasted this long. One said, he wouldnt take a free Samsung if it were offered to him. In order for him to repair the fan, I have to empty and turn off my unit for at least 36 hours otherwise he would be unable to remove the shroud around the fan. He knew exactly what was wrong with my unit as soon as I told him about the whirring fan. Needless to say, I am telling everyone I know NOT to buy a Samsung refrigerator, or any other type of appliance.

We bought this DMT800RHW unit because we were satisfied with their refrigerator. This is a top of the line unit. Too bad we didnt see all these negative reviews. From the start, we had problems. First, a small plastic wheel on the bottom rack was missing when it arrived. I called to ask them to just send a wheel I could snap on in 10 seconds... Nope. They had to send out a technician. Then those wheels were rubbing on the lower right side of the door gasket, and eventually dislodge the stainless steel grip in that area that went around the whole door to hold the rubber gasket. It was tack welded on, so they said the dishwasher was a loss. They would not repair it. They decided to refund out money, but not installation, which was the good news and policy by Samsung. To do that, I had to rip off the identity label, cut the power cord off and take a picture of all that to send into Samsung. This was not too easy to do, but we are fairly assertive with Samsung. Since Im handy with mechanical and electrical systems, I put it back together. I also screwed in the stainless steel gasket holder and had a new dishwasher for free.... or so I thought. A couple months later, I started getting error codes 0E and 9E which mean low water level and high water level. When this happens, the cycle just stops. This increased in frequency over a year. Unplugging the unit then plugging it back in would seem to fix it for a while. At this point, the unit constantly gives these errors and seems useless. When it is turned on, the unit will fill with water and empty itself about three or four times without actually starting to spray water inside - like it is in some self-cleaning cycle. Then one of these error codes comes up, but the water is not low or too high. The design of the bottom of the dishwasher is really very simple and easy to take apart (Phillips screwdriver tip only), so I did that and cleaned it out thoroughly in first attempt. There seemed to be some debris blocking one channel. After this attempt, the same thing happens... three or four fill/empty cycles then one of the two error codes. I would like to take it apart further, but am not sure what to do as it may be a sensor or circuit board error. On other matters, I have noticed how the internal plastic parts seem to be deteriorating from the dishwashing process. From all these posts in this forum, clearly Samsung has engineered a unit that is defective in so many ways. I am disgusted by Samsung as well, but at least I didnt have to pay for my dishwasher!

Water is leaking inside the refrigerator and freezing under the produce bins. Then we notice vents on the inside back wall were full of ice. A few weeks we found water on the floor. Then the freezer started frosting and we found ice forming on the outside freezer drawer. We have defrosted it several times and the problem keeps repeating. I see online hundreds of complaints for this. These models should be recalled! Last Samsung product for me!

I bought our Samsung dishwasher in January of 2015. Within 10 days the heavy light started flashing and the dishwasher motor would not stop running - indicating a leak. We had to turn it off from the breaker for it to stop running (also attached to our washing machine - so no laundry). I called Samsung and had a very frustrating conversation with someone who did not speak English very well. Nice person - just not a good phone representative. 40 minute call. He set a claim number. Appliance service came out and said we should get another unit from the store we purchased it at (Home Depot) - 1 month later we did (paying on dishwasher and doing dishes by hand the entire time).Old dishwasher sat in our garage for another 15 days or so when - unexpectedly - Home Depot came at 8:30 at night to pick it up - SURPRISE! We immediately had the same problem happen to the new dishwasher and continue to now. The last service we had was January 9th - and on the 19th we still have the heavy light flashing and the motor running until we shut off the breaker. We can go months that it will work after turning on the breaker - then come home one day from work and it will be inoperable. I have spent over 9 hours this year on the phone with Samsung. Do not buy Samsung anything. If you have to deal with their customer service process - even once - you will be very unhappy. This dishwasher is nothing but an absolute fail - 13 calls to get the new one fixed and its still not working.

I purchased this (Samsung Electric Stove NE58F9710WS) in October 2015. I just had occasion to use the self-clean feature. I chose the minimum 3 hour default setting. After the cycle was over and it had cooled to the touch, I was unable to open the door, and the display panel is black and wont operate. The technician told me this happens all the time; he has to install a new thermostat. He has to pull the stove out (it is a drop in so this wont be easy) to unlock the door from the rear of the unit. He advised to NEVER use self-cleaning as this will continue to happen. What a waste of money.

I purchased a Samsung Chef Edition Refrigerator (RF34H9960S4) a little less than a year ago. These are not cheap fridges. Both shelves on the right door are cracking in the middle. When I called they informed me that they dont replace personally damaged items. If using the shelves may lead to personally damaging them, we shouldnt use them. I now have to pay for new shelves, that most likely will crack again. Please think very hard about whether you want to purchase this item.

The ice machine motor that opens a small door to release the ice in the chute suddenly started and never stopped, making a constant clunk noise. The service technician said that a tiny wire broke at the hinge on top of the fridge due to the repeat opening and closing of the door. This a design problem and not really a wear and tear problem. He said when this happen again, the whole door will have to be replaced!! I called Samsung and the receptionist gave me a ticket number. I asked her Samsung email as I wanted to forward to them the technician report and invoice. I said Samsung should pay for this even if it is passed warranty. The receptionist disconnected.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher 18 months ago. I have had issues almost since I purchased it. You turn it on and it runs about 15 seconds and then quits. I use to be able to start it three times and then it would run a complete cycle. Now it doesnt work at all. It cost over $600 and it was even purchased during Black Friday so it was a great deal, yeah right! Customer service is absolutely no help, all they offer to do is sell you an extended warranty. This is an ongoing issue, it should be a recall. Seems like this should have been fixed, I will never buy Samsung again. I also work at Home Depot so guess what... I will make sure I share my experience with customers, since Im in the appliance area. Karma...

I should have done my homework before installed this almost 60 LB waste of space over our stove. Shortly a year after owning it, it began beeping in the night. What we then found was the dreaded SE code had begun -- one only needs to Google it to learn all they need. Thankfully, there are actually YouTube videos showing how other consumers had to save their microwaves from this product failure...so we did it as well, and it worked...for about two months. And then the microwave stopped working entirely. What a waste of several hundred dollars! Shameful they just didnt stand by their products and recall and correct the issue.DO NOT BUY THIS MICROWAVE!!

It does not only NOT clean our dishes, it actually leaves our glasses dirtier than when they went in... However, the freezer never seemed to cool cold enough to freeze ice cream as well as pools of water under my cheese drawer in the fridge section. Dec 2014 when I bought my two-door SAMSUNG inverter refrigerator with 1 yr warranty of service and 10 years warranty of compressor. Im a bit happy of the long term compressor warranty without thinking the possible reasons why they are giving warranty that long. After two years, the compressor had to replaced since its not functioning. Since it has warranty so its free but I still spent around 6k for the labor and other parts needed. So, after the repair the equipment is again functioning very well, but just recently exactly after two years after the repair same problem encountered - the compressor is not functioning and what shocked me about is the estimated cost I have to spend. I need 9k excluding the compressor since its free. OMG. Why do I spend that much when I can use said amount to buy new one. BUT NO TO SAMSUNG! NEVER. The first ref I had lasted for 19 years (other brand)-without any repair. I just disposed it since I wanted new one.

We purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator August 2014 and have had six going on seven service calls since July 2015 all for the same reason. Samsung will not allow us to see the Technician reports. The Technician is frustrated when he leaves because its not fixed but Samsung Support states that the reports says our refrigerator is operating normally. Samsung stated they will continue to repair but will not replace. We found out that policy is across the board. We did not check Reviews prior to purchasing the refrigerator and apparently they dont have the good reputation we thought. I have comments between Samsung and myself, but as I stated they wont allow us to view the reports. We do not have pictures because our main complaint now is the noise which we can hear over the TV.

All I can say is that I wish I had read reviews on Samsung refrigerators before I purchased mine. Ive owned Samsung TVs and smart phones that are all exceptional and I thought the same would be true with Samsung appliances but I was dead wrong. Brand new refrigerator model # RF263BEAESG - only 6 months old - started leaking water out of the left side top where electrical wires are coming out of the top of refrigerator. Contacted Samsung. They created a repair ticket. After five days and no one showed up I called the service company only to go to voice mail. Call Samsung back and they give the service ticket to another service company... same thing 2nd time - service company wouldnt come to my house. After three weeks into the ordeal, Samsung said they would refund the purchase price of my refrigerator. To get my money back I had to provide the original sales receipt, sign a contract saying I would dispose of the old refrigerator and not continue to use it, send the labels inside the refrigerator to Samsung showing model & serial # and cut the electrical cord. After complying with Samsungs request I then get an email two weeks later saying they dont have the serial # and we cannot move forward even though they had the serial # from my initial call for service. After several days of fighting this battle I get a call from Samsung saying they found the serial # but before they can process the claim now I need to go out and purchase a new refrigerator and show them the receipt for the new purchase. In addition, I need to show them a receipt from a haul away company that disposed of my refrigerator with the leaking ice maker.Refrigerator was purchased from Home Depot. I have contacted the manager of the particular Home Depot store but so far they havent offered much help. I Home Depot manager that given my experience and experiences Ive read about from other consumers that if I were him I will completely discontinue selling Samsung appliances. Ive owned many appliances over my 72 year life span and NEVER have I EVER experienced such an horrific experience. Given the runaround Ive received from Samsung I doubt very seriously Ill ever receive a refund for my refrigerator. Stay away from Samsung appliances, particularly their refrigerators.

I bought this fridge as part of a whole kitchen package when I remodeled 2 years ago. Im not sure it ever cooled as cold as previous fridges, but this one is different. The controls are different, very different. Gone is the dial that goes from off to high cool. A panel of buttons and lights, hold this button down for three seconds for this, 5 seconds for that, hold down both at the same time for 5 seconds for that, this is on when that light is off. If it stops cooling it might have gone back to show room mode etc.The fridge might run fine but I am unable to find the right variation of buttons and lights to push for how long at the right time. The manual and online is no help at all. There doesnt seem to be a Samsung rep to call, Ive decided to have it hauled off and buy something with an on and off switch. The fins might be clogged up but they are inaccessible for home owners. Repair people want $200 just to show up and that does not apply to repair. Extra to diagnose. It would be very easy to pay more for repair than I paid for the fridge. They seem to deny there is a warranty or it would apply to my issue.

I have a Samsung French Door refrigerator in white and just started noticing what at first looked like food or grime on the front left door at the bottom of the ice maker where it fits into the door. I started cleaning it and couldnt believe it - it was RUST! I have never seen rust on a new refrigerator. I purchased it in Jan 2013 from Pacific Sales. The ice maker drips constantly and the fridge makes a loud buzzing noise sometimes. I wanted to see if anyone else was having this same trouble before I call Samsung, and I can see that a lot of customers have the exact same problems as me. Im not sure what to do at this point because I know its out of warranty now. Another possibly dangerous situation - now that the paint is coming off where the rust is, Ive already shocked myself touching where the bare metal is. I have literally had a broken refrigerator, Samsung 4 door, broken down since July 5th. Today is Sept 12. When it went down, it was 14 months old. Samsung scheduled service for me with a big service company, Appliance Hospital, and after 6 trips to my home never fixed it. Samsung has indicated they would replace it with a new one. That was 2 weeks ago. As of today, No update, no phone call. Ive called Samsung, texted, cannot get an update. 2.5 MONTHS! I use a small beverage fridge and a cooler for produce. I spent $2,800 on that fridge. Unbelievable. Time for an attorney? Media? What am I supposed to do. I just want a refrigerator, that works. I want good service, good communication. $2,800 should have provided that. Samsung you have failed big time.

The dishwasher began to have trouble one day after the warranty and Samsung would not send a technician. It would run for about 5 minutes and then stop. It wasnt draining. Do not buy their products, today they are of very poor quality and this company does not honor the guarantee of any of its products. I have many of their products (refrigerator, TV, telephones, tablets, washing machine, etc. I used to be this brand name fan until their products begun to break and the company do not honor the warranties). I got rid of the phones a couple of years ago due to software issues. I have been able to return the televisions thanks to the return policy of some stores, the refrigerator has problems with the ice maker and no matter how many people complain, they do not change the ice maker, nor do they repair it and they do not stop putting that problematic ice maker in the new equipments (if you make some research the company has been sued for the ice maker they put on the refrigerators), they dont care about customers once they have bought their products. If their products were good, you wouldnt have to worry about good customer service, but thats not the case. Their current products from about 5 years ago until now are of very poor quality, my washing machine (2 years old) has rusted all the edge where the bleach is poured and recently the motor broke and guess what? Precisely the engine has a 10-year warranty, at least on paper, but not really, they do not guarantee what was promised. First because of COVID-19 they did not have the staff to go to my house to diagnose the washing machine, that today they make this appliances with so much technology that the only thing they do not do is talk, but this machine shows you a code of the problem it has, this company do not care that the washing machine will show a code that means the engine is broken, they want a technician to diagnose it, a technician who they dont have, so they forced me to pay another company to have a technician come to diagnose the washer machine, a diagnosis that cost me $89.00.I sent them the invoice and they didn’t repair the engine anyway. They say they only pay for the part, not the labor, that I have to pay for the repair and send them the receipt for them to reimburse me for the cost of the part. If they warranty, the part they should send me the motor so I will take care of the labor with any company. They have not reimbursed me the $89.00 that they made me spend on diagnostic, although the washing machine said that the motor was broken and am I going to believe that they are going to reimburse me a part (motor) after this? This has been going on for 9 months since August 2020. They are worthless, unreliable, scammers, do not buy their products, any of their products soon or later will have issues and they will not honor the warranty. Do not become one of the victims of this HUGE SCAMMER COMPANY that take your money with warranties promises, and because their products are poor quality you will need the warranty, warranty that they are not willing to fulfill, they will find any excuse for not honor the warranty. Do not say you were not advising!! Be wise, save your money!!

Our microwave does not vent any air, our dishwasher goes into OE error at least twice a week and our oven doesnt self clean, it doesnt clean at all! I think Samsung is trying to make us all nuts ! Ive never seen so many complaints about a fridge ice maker in my life... And its been happening for years and over these past few years Samsung is benefiting by gauging us poor consumers who need to pay for repairs because who can afford to replace all these appliances after only a few years ? There has to be something done, its not fair ! How can this be legal, years and years of complaints by hundreds of consumers and nothing is done ? Shame on you Samsung and NEVER EVER AGAIN...

I posted a YouTube video I made about how I fixed my Samsung Microwave plagued with the dreaded 5E (SE) error. Like many other people, my Samsung Microwave started giving me an SE error a little after a year after I bought it. When I called Samsung, they told me the warranty was up and suggested I should call an appliance repair company. I followed their advice on this site and tried to repair the microwave myself by cleaning the display pad. The fix took me about 15 minutes and seems to have worked. Two weeks later, and the microwave is still working fine. Keep your fingers crossed. Some other commentators on this site have suggested that Samsung may now fix this error if you mention all the negative comments on this and similar sites. I will give Samsung another call and see if this approach works if the microwave fails again and once again I am plagued with an SE error.

I bought a Samsung Refrigerator model #RF263BEAESR 2.5 years ago. It was over $2,500.00. It has had very light use and out of the blue the freezer stopped working. Called Samsung and they sent technician to diagnose. Cost $125 for them to tell me the compressor has stopped working. After many emails back and forth and telephone calls to Samsung - most can hardly speak English, Samsung will pay for the part but NOT the labour. The labour costs are estimated at $900 to install the compressor. Really Samsung. Thats how you back your products? No one expects a fridge to only last 2.5 years. Never will I buy Samsung again. Its just a scam. These new appliances from Samsung just dont last and when a part goes unexpectedly they do not back up their product. They want you to buy a new one because in the end its probably cheaper. Well I may be buying a new fridge but it wont be a Samsung.

We purchased a Samsung Fridge that was delivered 10-22-18. The ice maker never worked. Auger would get stuck pushing the ice drawer out and causing it to bang on the inside of the refrigerator door. No ice would come out. Then we would have to open the door, shake the ice drawer at which time we would get chips of ice even though it was on cubed. Called Lowes and they sent out a repair company that replaced the ice maker. Within 3 days the ice maker is doing the same thing again. It is a flawed design and Lowes said even though we just bought it it was two weeks out of guarantee to replace! We purchased the extended warranty but the problem cant be fixed. Lowes is selling a defective product that is now part of a class action lawsuit. This Samsung Model RF23J9011 is part of the lawsuit. Why would Samsung continue to make defective ice makers AND why would Lowes keep selling them when they have to know, based on the numerous calls they are getting with the same complaint, that these refrigerators are garbage. Just get your $2,400 and throw it out the window. UGH.

From my complaint sent to Samsung: I bought this Samsung side-by-side RS2545SH/XAA refrigerator for my office in 2008. Within the first year, I had to have the service techs in to repair and replace the board because it was causing the fridge to over-cool, either freeze the refrigerator section or leave it uncooled. That was repaired under warranty. In the past year, I have encountered the same issue. Now the board is causing the cold water reservoir to freeze. I have had both our local repairman and yours out to attempt repair. The local reported that it is a common problem with refrigerators and recommended higher temp settings to keep the problem at bay, but wouldnt recommend refrigerators with chips for our next purchase.Your repairman, while polite, wasnt prepared with the parts in the truck for the probable repair. It took him 3 hours to diagnose and defrost the water reservoir. It would have likely been cheaper for him to just replace the plastic unit. He identified that the problem is likely the board or the heater, but could be the wire that connects the two that is not repairable. It would be an additional $350.00 for the repair and another visit on top of the $302.10 already paid to your tech and $110.00 for our local repair tech. The tech warned that with the replacement parts (which he didnt have with him), he couldnt guarantee that it would be fixed because of a wire built into the fridge could be the culprit and isnt repairable. I would be stuck with the costs and a broken fridge.I and my assistant Paul ** (ticket **) have made numerous calls to your call center for updates and requests to review this issue and have been met with what I would call polite stonewalling. I feel that purchasing a premium product should come with support. I also expect a refrigerator to last at least 20 years before needing service. I have not experienced either with this purchase and could not recommend your product to others. I will be exploring additional avenues to file complaints against your company including the store where we bought it and our state attorney general. It would appear, in hindsight, that I would have been better off purchasing a basic model that would have cost me considerably less and would have been repairable.

FTQ307NWGX/XAC Kitchen Range - The range power board blew up with such force that the fuse totally disintegrated and it scored the top of the range. (see pictures) Their tech said that the range was unrepairable given that metal fragments went throughout the range and that it should not be plugged back in. After 4 weeks of delays and games here is a quote from them: Please be advised that the OOP (Office Of President), our exchange team is now outsourcing a replacement of an equivalent model. Sorry for any inconvenience in regards to the issue, but we are trying to expedite the solution. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.Since this email, they have backtracked and withdrawn their offer and decided instead to offer me a $475 refund as a courtesy. I keep trying to remind them that their range BLEW UP and their tech said with us unsafe and should not be plugged in. Before I knew what Had happened and while I was still using the right side of the stove, the stove burned a pot while it read H on the range. The element was off and look at the pictures for what it did. Little wonder that my wife is afraid of the range. I am angry that being elevated to the office of the president has done nothing but add in additional delays and inaction. I am 4 weeks and counting. I have lodged a BBB complaint and I will pursue this elsewhere. How can a company tell you it will replace your range and then go back on its own word?

This refrigerator was the most expensive in the store, but I thought it would be the best and it is the absolute worst. For $3,500, you would think you would not have to defrost the area of the ice maker. It works like the cheapest brand in the store. It doesnt give you ice cubes, just pieces of ice that go flying everywhere. Ice gets built up and clogs the ice maker and you have to take an ice pick to remove it or it wont make any ice. I absolutely hate it and Im stuck with it for a good long time.

I purchased a Samsung OTC Microwave, model # ME18H704SFS in Sept. 2016 from Home Depot. On Nov. 13, 2017, the Magnetron gave up. Samsung repairman told me it would cost $280 on top of the $109.00 I paid for him to come out. It cost me $455.64 to have this microwave installed last year. Now this. I will NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM SAMSUNG.I am so angry as to how a company can be allowed to sell such cheaply made appliances and cheat consumers out of their hard earned money. This just seems unfair. Samsung has to be aware of this problem and yet they continue to sell the units with the same problem. Of course, they are of no help when you call. This magnetron is clearly a problem based on the reviews I have now read. Wish I had read them before purchasing my unit. I would not have bought the WORTHLESS microwave. I had an old GE microwave that I used for 10 years before it gave up and I replaced it. Never had any problems with that microwave. Now you purchase what appears to be a good microwave and this appliance is a TOTALLY WORTHLESS PIECE OF JUNK.

On December 15, 2015 I purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator. Less than one month after delivery the ice maker quit working, was totally frozen up from leaking water. I purchased this item from Best Buys Pacific. The Geek Squad replaced part of the ice maker but did not remedy the program. Upon searching the internet the above was a known problem with this particular refrigerator. In fact Samsung had issued a technical bulletin on how to fix this problem. In the interim I purchased an extended warranty from Samsung. The same initial problem reoccurred in early December 2016. I took my complaint to the appliance manager at Pacific in Best Buy. He told me this was a Samsung problem. It has now been six weeks and several visits from repair companies the ice maker has not been fixed. It still freezes up, leads water and stops making ice cubes. I was directed to the regional representative for Samsung. Keeps sending out a different repair company without results. Needless to say I am totally frustrated with Samsung and their defective product. I have asked Samsung to replace the refrigerator but upon examining a more recent model the same problem was visible. Samsung continues to sell a defective product. I will be filing complaints with the Texas and Federal lemon laws to try and rectify the above problems. Needless to say I cannot recommend Samsung to anyone.

Tech said it needed major repairs and they wouldnt have the parts til Friday. Thats 8 days without a fridge. Called Samsung call center to complain and they didnt offer anything to help us. Asked to speak with a manager. The response received was you are unable to talk to a manager. Asked for an email address for a manager. Nope not an email address either. Same thing, different person. Fridge Model RF217ACRS, manufactured in 2011. Problem started in 2014. Samsung refuses to pay for repair even though original chat transcript with Samsung Support inferred they will stand behind their product, after creating a ticket for me even though the fridge was out of warranty. Problem Description: Fridge coils freezing up, causing fan to rub on ice making a loud noise. Defrosted it multiple times, problem comes back within a week or 2. A&E Services wanting to charge $361 for the repair of what they claim is a $12 sensor. A&E Factory Services tech also told me that this is the cause of 90% of the problems reported regarding Samsung refrigerators. My guess... A&E and any other Samsung Authorized Service Center is being paid off by Samsung to cover-up the actual fault, which may lie with the evaporator, as if the water is drained/evaporated correctly, should not build up as ice on the coils, in my unprofessional opinion. Keep in mind, the evaporator is covered under the Samsung 5-year warranty, but the $12 sensor is not, and their repair techs will charge you out the *you know what* ($360) to replace it. I will never buy another Samsung device as long as I live, and I will steer all my friends and family away from them.

Purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator 16 months ago. It was pricey but it was a smaller refrigerator that fit well in our kitchen, and based on reviews on Consumer Reports thought it was going to be great. First problem is the door handles. Any slight bump of a dish going in the fridge chips off the black paint leaving white marks. Then I started noticing water in the bottom of the bins. After 13 months, the refrigerator stopped cooling. Of course, the year warranty was up, so I was responsible for the cost. Called Samsung and they said I would hear from a repairperson within 48 hours. After 3 days I called them back and said I hadnt heard from anyone, so they gave me the name of the company to call myself (could have saved time doing that in the first place). Repairman couldnt come for 2 more days. When he did, he said I would have to defrost all the ice that had built up on the back wall of the fridge and that he would order a part. So... 5 more days without a refrigerator. New part works. Then last week, noticed the refrigerator getting warm again, and the freezer had ice crystals all over and the food was rock hard. Put in a thermometer and the fridge was 58 and the freezer was -10. Repairman back out. He was stumped, but called their Samsung expert. He asked if we used the ice maker (no... we have enough problems). Seems the light that says ice off needs to be on, or the freezer works extra hard to make ice (even though there is no water hooked up). Hope this helps someone. So, again we had to defrost the fridge. Its worked now for a week - not sure how long this will last. Samsung needs to admit there is a flaw in their refrigerators and give us some compensation.

First the reason for my review is to warn consumers about a Samsung refrigerator and I dont want them to make the same mistake that I made. If I could do it all over again, I would have kept my old refrigerator or got a different brand. I bought this mess of a refrigerator in September 2013. I bought a Samsung refrigerator for $1500.00 and a 5-year warranty with it. I am so glad I did because it’s been problems every since I had it. I had a technician come out to replace different parts on this refrigerator at least 3 times since 2013. The ice maker keeps messing up and not producing ice. If you leave the door open for at least 15 minutes then close the door, it won’t produce ice. The water freezes up and it won’t produce ice either. I hate I even bought this freakin Samsung refrigerator. After my warranty is up, I will sell it and get another refrigerator. The only reason why I am keeping it is because it is still up under warranty. I will not be able to afford for a technician to keep coming out after the warranty has expired. Damn you Samsung and the people who put this refrigerator together. If I could shove this refrigerator up their butt, I would. Please, Im begging the consumers, DONT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!

Purchased a Samsung fridge RF217ACBP in June 2011 and have the same complaint I am reading over and over. I have had 3 service calls for the same problem, water in the veggie/fruit bins, thick ice under the bins. This time the fan was very noisy and would consistently run. Called Xmas eve and the service guy came out on 12/29, the back panel was completely frozen, had to shut off for 24 hrs, and parts were ordered. When I called on Saturday they were nice, but no help. You need to have 4 repair calls in 1 year to even be considered for a new fridge. I have already told many people not to purchase a Samsung fridge or anything and will never get another one myself. I think they should stick to phones & tablets. Let’s hope what was fixed today will last, but once my master protection plan expires in 2016 (glad I have it) the fridge will be gone. Samsung needs to get their act together and maybe if enough people stop purchasing product they will get the message. NO MORE SAMSUNG APPLIANCES FOR ME!!!!!!

I have had some of the same bad experiences with Samsung products, so I decided to share my experience to help those facing the same problems as me. I have owned the top of the line dmt800RHS dishwasher for less than two years. Initially the only issue was that the dishes would not get clean enough, so I spoke to the Lowes sales person who told me to make sure the water was hot at the sink before I start my washer. Even though there is a heating element in the machine, this did seem to help. Then, we started to smell what a lot of you are complaining about. Finally, the last straw was this latest issue with the machine filling with water but not starting the wash cycle. It also drains okay. I took the washer outside and removed everything inside it. Dont worry, its not rocket science, you can do it too. Just take your time. What I found was a piece of calcium stuck between the impeller and deflector. The calcium had hardened on the heating elements. I had to remove trapped food from inside the screen. I believe that is where the smell is coming from. I laid the machine on its back and removed the white plastic cover on the bottom that has two screws. Use a flat tip screw driver to release the tabs. Once inside, use a pair of pliers to pinch and slide the clamp back to remove the black hose at about the middle of the washer bottom. Stand it upright and blast the interior with your garden hose. If you live with hard water and your heating coil is covered with calcium put the hose back on and in the upright position submerge the coil in a CLR/water mixture. It might be a good idea to use a dishwasher cleaner monthly to keep the odor and calcium down. I hope I helped someone.

To Tim Baxter or anyone else that cares about Samsungs reputation and how their terrible customer service and falsely advertised products, dont settle well with the consumer. I am at my wits end with your company and its appalling customer service! For 4 months now Ive tried to get your company to take ownership for a refrigerator it sold us, that claimed to offer a Flex Zone with 4 temp settings, all the way down to -1 Celsius. Tim, we both went to High-school at took basic science classes, but the techs and people in your Office of the President all seem to have either not taken the class or failed it. My wife and I have had food spoiling in that drawer for months, because it will NOT freeze as it should given that 0 degrees Celsius is freezing, therefore anything colder that zero is at least capable of freezing. Well nothing freezes in that drawer. Ive had 3 service people come out, who all are being told the same thing from Samsung that I am being told, which is that the refrigerator works as it should. Tim, please explain to me how its working as it should when food does not freeze in a drawer that offers a -1 degree Celsius setting. Your office of the president, at 888-480-5675 and Loshanda at extension **, has ignored 7 messages I have left for her with the receptionist, and two voicemails. She literally has decided to blow me off. The last time she called me, before Thanksgiving, she told me that Mr. ** its not supposed to freeze, since -1 degrees Celsius is also 29 degrees Fahrenheit, therefore its 29 degrees above freezing... I was without a reply for a few minutes. How do you politely tell a person that they dont know that Celsius and Fahrenheit both measure temperatures, and that -1 Celsius and 29 Fahrenheit are the same below freezing temperature. After Loshandas obvious failure to care to call me back anymore, because she believes its working fine, I called and asked for a supervisor in your Office of the President. Ive been told twice there is no such thing, that I just have to leave a message for Loshanda to call me back. I’ve done that once a week for 7 weeks. I’m exhausted and utterly disgusted with the horrible service from your company. I dont know which is worse, that your techs believe -1 degrees Celsius is not supposed to freeze the food, or that your Office of the Preside could care less at this point, after my wife and I have lost hundreds of dollars in food that has gone bad, Ive wasted hours with techs coming out telling me the same thing, and more hours on the phone talking to your general Samsung support line that offers no help but to suggest I have yet another tech come out, who will waste all our time again. Tim, my wife and I own thousands of dollars in merchandise from you all, from phones, to BluRay players, to TVs etc. Is this how I should be treated? I want Loshanda at least reprimanded or at best fired, and I want and deeply hope for your help in resolving this matter. Your refrigerator does not do as it was sold to do, its that simple. And I need this fixed. Please Tim. Ive left voicemails for others in your Office of the President, they too have ignored me.

The ice maker on this is faulty, I have read several reports after trouble with ours and it seems to be a recurring issue. It makes little to no ice, freezes up, makes a horrible sound and drips water every time you try to get ice or water. It took 5 appointments all with 6 hour windows for them to finally say it was faulty. I am expecting a reimbursement check and I will never buy this fridge again.

Samsung has a reputation for a lousy manufacturing process of their kitchen appliances. My dw7933lrasr dishwasher is less then 2 years old. They will not fix it until you buy an extended warranty for 288.00 plus tax (new dw, 100.00 more). The phone assistance was good but the bottom line is their appliances are designed to break. Consumer Report has their DW failure rate at 25%. Bought at HHGREGG Southpoint, Durham NC.

We have the same problem that a lot of the consumers had. Our fridge makes this grinding sound that just kept getting louder to the point where it would freak out my dog. We shut it off to defrost whatever ice was built up on the fan and when I yanked the bottom drawer (which by the way is always stuck by the ice built up) a sheet of ice about an inch thick fell on my foot causing a gash on it. Luckily my little Yorkie jumped out of the way otherwise shed be dead. So please be careful when defrosting the damn fridge.

Purchased a Samsung convection microwave oven for 299 Sing dollars and the very first day I wanted to bake muffins. Heavy smoke came out of the oven and filled the whole kitchen and spread to other rooms. I panicked and switched off and called the company. They said the technician can come only after two days. Then the technician arrived and said the coil has gone and replaced it. By then, the back of the oven looked all burned out. I wanted a replacement as it was on extended warranty, but the repair person said that it will not have any more issues. Tried to bake again, this time, the cake was not cooked in the middle, only the sides were cooked and it was all a mess. My previous oven was Sharp convection, used it for 9 years without any problem. I will never buy the Samsung oven again and will not recommend to anyone.

A few years ago, I bought a Samsung oven/range/stove. Today, I pressed the self-clean button. The oven status display started beeping and displayed an error code E-0E and flashed an icon of a padlock. I researched trouble shooting, tried to reset, powered cycled, etc. Nothing worked. The oven no longer works - it only flashes the display - E-0E and there is no way to stop it. I called Samsung and after getting a magnifying glass and super bright light to read the M/C number and serial number ON THE BOTTOM OF THE OVEN, the lady told me the unit was out of warranty (big surprise). She then told me that for about $300.00 (about 40% of the price of the oven), I could buy a warranty and it would cover the repair. I said no - so they transferred me to a service number where they informed me it would cost about $225.00 for a service call to diagnose the problem. I asked them why the oven was equipped with a self-destruct button - and how it is possible that an oven could die after barely 2 years of light use. No answer.

Mine stopped working right after the one year warranty expired and has the flashing lights. Called a local appliance repair guy and he told me he does not repair Samsung. Why? Because they keep breaking down and he has to keep coming back to replace parts at his cost. Customers think it’s his fault, but after reading this blog, we all know the problem is Samsung. My other Samsung appliances are not great either. I just purchased a new highly rated Kenmore from Sears. After checking Consumer Reports, Samsung has the worst frequency of repairs of all brands. Stay away from Samsung and don’t listen to salespeople. Do your own research first and buy a dependable brand. Anybody want to buy a lightly used dishwasher? LOL.

We now prefer to watch everything on this tv then going to the cinemas as we feel we get a better experience at home with this tv and the Samsung Qn90B sound bar. Our only regret was not getting the 85”!! Though still satisfied with the 75”. After this, it will be hard to settle for anything less. You won’t regret purchasing this product. It brings old and new to life. You will feel like you are there in person. Detail and colour quality will blow you away! A good investment! Enjoy! I am having the same issues that was stated by Sandy. I was and am very disappointed that I feel Samsungs marketing is not telling the truth about this stove. The tech came out today and told me that even though my stove says 350 degrees, it is not because Samsung wanted the energy star rating and that the stove is actually 265 and needs another 15 minutes to be at temperature, even though the stove says 350. He said a lot of companies are doing that now so they can get the rating. The other thing that I am not happy is that the top part of the oven, that says you can bake, you really cannot. It is more of just a broiler. So all my stuff burns, but does not cook in the middle. This is not what I thought I was purchasing.

We had trouble with our fridge from day one. This was 3 years ago, well before the current onslaught of consumers with huge problems, so we received a refund after 5 non-repairs. Thousands of consumers have been defrauded and this company should have been forced to recall the 20+ models that are, very simply, crap. Samsung has tried over and over to make consumers pay for repairs, which do not fix the problems anyway. They, also, try to dupe people that they are out of warranty, while this is NOT a warranty issue. It is a design flaw, which his company knows very well and refuses to resolve without extreme stress for its purchasers. Shame on them.

When the new one came in, the technician shoved, pushed, and tried to force the replacement in place and after 30 minutes, decided it was not the right one so he was to order yet another one. On May 12, 2016 my Samsung side-by-side refrigerator (model RSG257AAWP) that I purchased on April 14, 2012 stopped cooling. It has been an absolute nightmare trying to work with Samsung to have someone come out to diagnose the problem. It is now May 23, 2016 and I am still calling Samsung trying to find resolution. I was assigned to a repair service (Home Service Network) on May 14th. On May 16th they informed me that they dont have any technicians that could work on my refrigerator. I called Samsung back and my ticket was reassigned to another repair service (Priceless Appliance Services). I was told that companies are to respond in 1-2 business days. I waited. Nothing! I called Samsung again. My ticket was reassigned again (Mr. Appliance of Central Maryland) and again I did not receive a call from this service repair company. When I called Samsung once more, today May 23rd, my ticket is showing that its assigned to Priceless and not even the last company that I was given so it appears that my ticket was not even reassigned. Now Im starting to think that the Samsung warranty policy is a sham. If they refer a customers ticket to enough non-responsive repair companies, at some point, especially with such an essential appliance as a refrigerator, the customer will become totally frustrated and seek to resolve the issue with a non Samsung repair service. This deems your appliance out of warranty even if you only have someone diagnose but not fix the product that you have so desperately tried to seek help for from Samsung. BE AWARE! BE CAUTIOUS! Its probably best to NEVER, EVER purchase Samsung appliances. In the future, I will only purchase appliances made in the USA.

We purchased our Samsung Induction range in Jan 2015. Within a couple of weeks we got an error message which made no sense but nothing on the range worked. As this was under the one year warranty I called Samsung. After several days and several calls I was informed there were no Samsung certified repair people within a three-hour radius. I called Calgary and was told by a Samsung certified repairman they get calls from all over the province but will not leave the city. I returned to Sears where I purchased the range. They were willing to replace the range but asked if I would allow them to arrange their service people to come out, which they did. No stove for three weeks as the entire electrical panel had to be replaced. Fortunately at this time I purchased five year extended warranty through Sears. We now have issues with the oven. For no reason, mid cycle/baking the oven puts out an error message (silent) and the range does not work. On one occasion it just stopped working without an error message. Thank goodness I dont have to try to get a repairman... Sears will send out their technician. I have read complaints about cleaning the glass top. I clean with soap and water. Dry it then spray with Weimar cooktop cleaner. It does a great job and my cooktop is still looking good. If you have an induction range and you find a stainless steel pan doesnt work, you likely have one of two problem. Some stainless steel pans have additional metals in them which will cause them not to work and the other is a warped bottom. I deeply regret buying this range and given Samsung phones catching fire and the clothes washer lids blowing off... I will never buy any Samsung products.

I bought a new Samsung fridge, in April 2011. The door would not close properly, which is my fault. I Installed one of the shelves wrong. Finally, the tech came out, diagnosed the problem, ordered parts, and rescheduled an appointment to repair the fridge. Thats when the problems started. Now, I was told a week later, there were no parts available until December 6th. I raised all kinds of hell with Sears. Finally, I managed to push the right buttons and got the Sears Corporate Offices. I am picking up a new refrigerator today at the store in Pensacola, Fl. It will definitely not be a Samsung. It took about 10 very harassing phone calls, for me to finally get some service. The number to call is 888-266-4043, ext 72. Speak to Sheleatha, she is very helpful.Hopefully, I will be getting a new refrigerator, when I take the letter from the corporate offices to the local store. I purchased my refrigerator on the 16-7-13 model SR690GDLS, 7 months later
I purchased my refrigerator on the 16-7-13 model SR690GDLS, 7 months later there was a bubble in the door underneath the water dispenser. The whole door was replaced on the 1-4-17 and the top drip tray part that was faulty in its design as it had holes in it so the water would drip into the bottom tray. This was replaced with one that did not have any holes in it so the water could not go in to the bottom tray. I was told that this would fix the problem. Then after 3 months the plastic around the glass started to crack. I had them replaced on the 4-8-14. Samsung rang me a few days later and said they were extremely sorry for all the trouble and sent me two movie tickets. Two weeks later I notice another bubble on the new door. I rang Samsung again, they sent another door out and another top drip tray with no holes and replaced them on the 9-9-14 only 5 months since the last door was fitted. I suggested to the repairman that the underneath tray may be the faulty one as it was not replaced last time and that the same thing has happened again and that may be the problem and could he please replace that part also. He said that I would have to ring Samsung and order it so I rang Samsung while he was finishing off and they asked to speak to him. He told them that it wasnt faulty and that he replaced what was sent. I then explained the situation again to Samsung and said that that was his opinion. But my opinion is that it must be faulty as it is the only part that has not been replaced and I have had the same problem and do not want it to happen again. She said she would order the part and call me back. 30mins later she called and said they did not think that the part is faulty and that if I ask them to send it out, I have to pay for it. As you can see I am not happy with this situation and the problem is not fixed as I do not have a guarantee that it will not happen again.
