Ive had the Samsung refrigerator for 3 years. The first year, it was leaking water and that was repaired. The second year, it stopped cooling and the fans were replaced. The icemaker has not worked most of the time. And this year, it stopped cooling on July 12. They came and replaced the fans and the icemaker. During that repair, they found an internal Freon leak. It took another 2 weeks before that was repaired, but the refrigerator was still not cooling. This time, it was apparently the compressor. They replaced the compressor on Friday, August 30th. I woke up Saturday to a nice cold fridge. I was happy about that! However, Saturday night, the temp was reading 60 degrees in the fridge and 40 degrees in the freezer! Im so over this. I have not had a working refrigerator since July the 12th. It is September 2nd. Were using a mini-fridge and a deep freezer. They told me it has to have the same repair done 3 times and then break again a 4th time before it qualified for replacement under the lemon law. Im very frustrated and will NEVER buy another Samsung product.

I am stunned and disappointed to find that our problems with this refrigerator (no cooling in the freezer or the fridge, alternatively or simultaneously, water accumulating in one of the produce bins) are actually very widespread. Worse still, we had purchased TWO of these duds before the problems began. We bought our first RF217 in September 2010 (#1), and the second one for our weekend house in July 2012 (#2). Almost immediately after buying #1, I noticed a small amount of water in the right-hand-side produce bin, which would accumulate over about a week (on average) to the point of requiring removal and emptying of the drawer. I didnt think much about it at first, believing I just needed to make some adjustment.Within 3 months of buying #2, we came home from a weekend in the country to find that the FREEZER (and only the freezer) of #1 (which was two years old and out of warranty by then) had stopped working while we were away, and heated to approximately 50 degrees. We called Samsung and went through a troubleshooting sequence, but nothing worked and they referred us to outside service people. We were surprised by the reluctance on the part of the repair people to work on it; we had to call three different ones before one was willing to come out. THREE visits over three weeks later, we finally had a fully working refrigerator again, and the water accumulation in the bin had stopped. In the winter of 2012 (only 6 months after buying it), I noticed one morning that #2 seemed warm when I opened it, even though the digital display showed the temperature at which I had set it. I remembered the trick the repair people had taught me, which was to unplug the unit and plug it back in to get an ACTUAL reading of the temperatures in the fridge and freezer; they were in 50ish and 25ish respectively. As I waited for Lowes (where we had purchased #2 along with an extended service plan) to open so that I could call them for help, I heard the refrigerator come back on. This went on two more times over that weekend, so we emptied out the unit before leaving. This happened again with #2 while we were at the house, and we have no way of knowing how often it has happened since. Now, #1 is doing the same thing. The refrigerator is warm; when I unplugged it and plugged it back in, the digital display read 63 and 27 for the fridge and freezer respectively. After about an hour, I heard the motor start again and the temperatures are back to normal. At this point, we have lost all faith in this refrigerator and the ability to repair it, so we are going out to buy a new one. I am completely horrified to find that stores are still selling it, and deeply disgusted with the fact that Samsung is not acknowledging that there is a problem.I am not sure that my words can convey the utter disgust my husband and I feel with respect to Samsung as a company. We will never buy anything they make, ever again, and we say so to anyone with whom the conversation arises.

We purchased our refrigerator June 11, 2013. Within a year it was not cooling. When I called wholesale appliance they told me to call Samsung. I did. They told me it would be more than two weeks before service. I had food spoiling in the refrigerator. I finally called someone else to repair it. Now six months later it is full of food from Thanksgiving and not cooling again. I am at my wits end. I need to know what recourse we have.

I purchased a French Door Refrigerator, very pretty but like a beautiful leather back book with nothing on the pages! I have had the refrigerator 4 years and in this time frame I have replaced 2 icemakers and now the freezer has stopped working, I lost quite a bit of food due to this failure. I called Samsung was advised they could not help to call a repairman, I called repair company and they were very nice and advised me Samsung will repair the compressor I called Samsung and they advised they would not. The repairman called them and they agreed to fix it.They called on Monday and advised there would be a repairman on Wednesday of the week to repair it. On Tuesday Samsung called and advised they COULD NOT find anyone in my area to fix it, that I should find someone to repair it and they would reimburse me. (They cant find anyone but I can, Duh!) It seems I made a very bad decision when I made this purchase.

This the 4th microwave I have had since 10/08. The first 2 were GE and needed repairs in less than a year. The Samsung I purchased for the 3rd oven lasted a number of years and I recently purchased another Samsung which was identical to the discontinued model, except it was no longer 1100 watts and some of the buttons had been moved. This oven is a good size and I like it. Although this is a very good oven, I really wanted one that was 1100 watts. It seems they no longer make wall ovens with wattage higher than a 1000 watts.

We purchased a Samsung glass cooktop stove. Three months after our purchase the glass top cracked. The crack occurred the second time I used the burner. I noticed the crack the next morning when I went to dust the cooktop. A KitchenAid repair person told us, that this happens occasionally with glass cooktops. Glass can have bubbles, etc... This repair is covered under their warranty. Samsung however considers this physical damage and their warranty does not cover physical damage. Nothing bumped the stove or fell on top of the cooktop. We have had a glass cooktop for twenty years, so it took me a while to understand what this meant.Regardless of what is wrong or if there is a defect in the product that results in physical damage, then it is not warranted. I am amazed that they can get away with this. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product and plan to report this to every consumer protection agency I can reach. This is definitely a buyer beware organization. As another reviewer said, their warranty is useless.

7 month old refrigerator had an issue with the refrigerator door. The ice flap was opening and closing constantly. After leaving us for 12 days without a working refrigerator and 3 cancelled service calls someone showed up to replace the door that was sent to them directly by Samsung. It is not the correct door and now they are refusing to replace with the correct door. The customer service is terrible and the product is defective. Do your research and avoid these appliances.

Samsung has a known problem with their twin cooling French door refrigerator, but refuses to help to make it right. Drain tubes on these units are undersized causing the ice maker to not work and water to leak out from under their freshness trap. Weve now had two floods in our kitchen and no ice. Our appliance repair service was well aware of these problems. Our unit is 4 years old and no longer in warranty. The repair cost will be $800 to fix.

Model FER300SX. I bought this 4 years ago. First the front glass is edge to edge and we barely tapped it with a small pot and it shattered so bad I had to remove it all together. The glass top is nearly impossible to keep clean and the oven never quite cooked evenly. Now, at 350 degrees, thermometer reads 175-200 after 40 minutes. Bad mistake this was. Wont buy another appliance with Samsung on it.

This leaves the dishwasher unstable which continues to cause other issues.. This seems to me to be a design flaw! Two years ago I bought a Samsung kitchen suite. Within the first few months my ice maker on the fridge went out and the dishwasher motherboard had to be replaced. We have had constant issues with the dishwasher. It does not stop running so we have to unplug it. Service is coming again and I have had enough. I want a new dishwasher that works properly. Did I happen to say that it is only two years old? Samsungs customer service is in India and they are no fun to deal with. When I asked them to replace it they said talk to the Best Buy WHERE I bought it from. Best Buy said to call Samsung for a replacement. NO ONE IS TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR A BAD PRODUCT. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES EVER!!!!

My sister and I both bought this refrigerator for our new construction home in December 2015. Luckily hers hasnt done this. But 16 months later mine started making this loud noise coming from the upper back part of fridge. Its so loud. I Googled and found numerous people are having same problem. Ive tried the blow dryer. Didnt work. Tried defrosting only to return 1 week later. I sure dont want to start taking apart, nor should I have to. This fridge is heavy. Our washers were both recalled, in which only partial cost reimbursed. Now I am frustrated because feel no one should have issues with any product, especially after only 16 months. What am I suppose to do now. I thought Samsung would be a super brand. Now I hate it. What is being done about this company selling crap products. Ill go American from now on.

We purchased a brand new Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model RF28HDEDBSR
We purchased a brand new Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model RF28HDEDBSR on Feb 6, 2015. It worked fine for a little while. It began emitting a strange chemical odor and around the same time, the water filter needed replaced. We assumed that was what caused the odor so we changed the filter but the odor remained. Weve completely cleaned the entire refrigerator and freezer many, many times with bleach, but it does not help. The odor permeates everything. The ice cubes taste like the same chemical odor and the food holds the smell. I called Samsung on 12-14-15 and was told that we needed to clean the entire unit again. They told us to clean it with baking soda and water this time, unplug the unit for 3 hours, and keep the doors opened for 3 hours. We did as they instructed and still no change. When we called back on 12-16-15, they informed us, that according to our serial number, it was no longer under warranty. We had to scan and email a copy of our receipt to prove the date of purchase and was told theyd return our call within 24 hours. Their service department called back 12-18-15 (48 hours later) and could not schedule us for 6 more days! When we voiced our frustration with this, we were told that there was nothing they could do. We mentioned that we saw many other consumer reviews with the same issue and the response we received was that people will make up things to complain about, there is no known problem with this refrigerator. Since we had little recourse, we scheduled the appointment for 12-24-15 (yes, Christmas Eve) and told them that this was very inconvenient since we were no longer using the unit. On 12-22-15, the Service Center called back to inform us that we were out of their area and they would not be servicing us after all! I had to, again, call Samsung and was told that I must wait another 24 to 48 hours for another service center to contact us. I again, voiced my opinion that this was horrible customer service. Here it is, 12-28-15, and no one has called us. And as Im typing this, Ive been on hold for 70 minutes with Samsung, trying to get someone to answer.I will NEVER, EVER, EVER purchase another Samsung appliance. This is unacceptable and the WORST customer service experience Ive ever had.

I bought a Samsung RF217ACRS refrigerator in Sept of 2010. In short it was a lemon from the day we bought it. The ice maker immediately had to be repaired, then shortly after that replaced. We were also experiencing water leaking into our crisping drawers spoiling our vegetables as it pooled up to 1/2. The repair person that came to replace the ice maker made a guess as to what was happening and did a nonstandard repair in the back panel where the water runs down to fill the ice trays. He fixed it temporarily. The last time our ice maker was replaced was February of 2012 and here we are once again with a broken ice maker and water pooling in our crisping drawers 1.5 years later and Samsung will do nothing for us. I am an interior designer and have been specifying appliances for homes for over 20 years, and will never recommend nor purchase from Samsung again.

Purchased this NE595ROABSR/AA range Jan.22, 2013 at Lowes. The front right burner would cook on high even though it was set on low. Managed to deal with that. Yesterday in the middle of preparing dinner, the range shot fire with a loud explosion. Samsung does not stand behind their products and you would think that a new stove that we paid $900.00 for would last longer than 2 1/2 years.

My Samsung dishwasher model DMT300RFW failed six months out of warranty, but used less than 20 times (it was at a second home). Repair cost was just over 1/2 the purchase price.Failed part was the drain pump, DD31-00005A. Failure mode was that the impeller shaft O ring had expanded from the drain water, preventing the shaft from turning freely. (The housing O ring had also expanded.) The O rings were not made with an appropriate material. In summary, the failure of a 10-cent part killed the dishwasher.Next, an attempt was made to report these findings to Samsung through their 800 number. Though my message was taken, there appeared to be a stone wall in terms of getting anyone to do anything. If this happens again, and it likely will, I may buy space in the Wall Street Journal and see if they care. What did I expect, at least that someone would make sure that my findings got to the right people. I guess it would be naive to expect anything else.

We purchased this Samsung French Door Refrigerator RF26VABWP in July of 2009 because we thought it was a superior product. Wrong! It was fine until March of this year and then to the tune of $200 we had to have the repairman defrost the fan, etc. because it was so noisy. And then I discovered the water was leaking inside the refrigerator under the crisper trays. We thought the problem was solved until May of this year when we discovered ice forming under the crisper trays. Another service call to the tune of $200. And then in July, I discovered a repeat of the same problem. Previously when I called Samsung, I was told that if it happened again, they would do something. After 10 calls and faxing information twice, I was told that nothing could be done and that refrigerators only lasted 5 to 9 years anyway. I doubt they would want to pay $200 every three months to keep their refrigerator running properly and I also doubt that they replace their own refrigerator that often. Every time you call, you have to give the model number, your name and phone number and then be referred to the executive customer service and repeat the same information. Usually there isnt a supervisor that you can talk to and so you have to call back again and go through the entire thing again. My opinion is that if you have to do this enough times, you finally give up and go away! What a poor recommendation for a company so well known!

One year after purchase, just after the warranty period finished, we found water freezing under and in the vegetable drawers. A month later we realized the paint was peeling off the handles. Searches online indicated other customers with the water problem had multiple service calls with no solution. Thinking that perhaps Samsung had found the solution since those calls happened, I tried contacting them. Since I had read of the same problem and the cause, I defrosted my fridge and was able to describe to Samsung exactly what was happening... but they wanted to send a service tech and charge me for the visit. I did not want to go through the useless repairs that other customers have gone through with no guarantee on their repairs, so we have not had a repairman. Every two or three months we defrost the fridge. Now the handles are looking awful and I dont know if they can do anything other than replace them with handles that have the same defect. I would like some real customer service from Samsung, but I just get boilerplate answers.

We bought a Samsung model RF28HFEDBSR refrigerator through Home Depot for the princely sum of $ 2400.00, in May 2014. From day one the unit has made a super annoying, loud buzzing noise when the refrigerator part cools. We contacted Samsung repair and the operator had us hold the phone near the refrigerator so she could hear the noise. Wow, that doesnt sound right!, she said. Samsung sent a repairman from Willowset TV who arrived 3 hours late. He said the RPMs of the fan were normal but was not competent enough to diagnose the problem. Did I mention he reeked of body odor? Now we lie awake at night listening to a sound like a weed whacker coming from our new refrigerator. We are disgusted, to say the least. Called Samsung again yesterday and they said they would send another repairman. I asked where he was coming from and the operator said, Monterey, you live in California, right? No, I answered. SMH1816B - This oven was my Christmas gift purchased December 2012 from Best Buy. Our mistake was buying it too soon before kitchen was ready for installation. So now its out of warranty. Because of the semi-remodeling, it didnt get installed until March 2014. Worked great for 4 months. My husband even went beyond the call to make sure the extra venting to the outside was installed. The auto turn on for that vent never worked so I just manually turned it on as needed. Then 3 days ago, our daughter opened the door to reheat some nachos and the screen was dead. Troubleshooted everything: the outlet, the dedicated power line in the fuse box, etc. 24 hours later, the formerly dead screen mysteriously lit back up and instructed us to set the clock! So we did. It worked for a day. Then my husband opened the door to reheat a cup of coffee and closed the door and discovered BLACK SCREEN again! We went through all the troubleshooting again, unplug, re-plug, etc. to no avail. I called then filled out the form on Samsungs help site and was instructed to call 1800 SAMSUNG, which I did. They said it was out of warranty and if I wanted to get it fixed, I would have to pay. I called a local certified Samsung repair service and they said it could be loose wires that get moved when opening and closing the door and it would cost $120.00 to re-seat the wires. This is totally unacceptable that an appliance would be allowed to be manufactured so poorly that the wires could unseat themselves just by opening and closing the door, an action that is REQUIRED in order to use it! The model needs a recall asap!

Bought on Black Friday 2011, waited 4 months for delivery. Six months later, noticed that the freezer door wasnt opening easily or closing all the way. Discovered the bottom of unit under the freezer door had ice building up underneath it. Busted it up & got it all out, freezer drawer worked perfectly. Few weeks later, it started all over again. Called Lowes, where it was purchased, & they told me no warranty, as it was now year since purchase date. My argument was that I had not actually had possession of it for a year, only 8 months. Got nowhere with Lowes, so every few weeks I get on my hands & knees & break all of the ice out of the bottom.I cant find any water leaks & have no idea where the freezing water comes from. Also want to mention that a piece of the cover for the above ice maker fell off at approx 6 months, and a piece of the bottom ice maker did the same at around a year. Got a great Black Friday price for this $2,800 refrigerator, but I wouldnt give 2 cents for another one!! My fridge before this was 14 yrs old & was Kenmore, it was ugly & outdated but worked way better than this new Samsung!!!

This 16-month-old Samsung microwave had the dreaded SE error code. I tried unplugging it to recycle and nothing worked. After reading all of the reviews, I knew I was doomed. I called Sears only to find out it was a common problem. And, as the previous complaints say, it will cost more than a brand new one to fix. I also read where it was a known problem with the keyboard circuit and yet Samsung still would not give the consumer a break by recalling it. I then read one entry in Google regarding the problem which said to hold the cancel and reset button down at the same time. I didnt have those buttons, but held down the clear and start buttons at the same time - say 3 seconds, at most. Well, I held on for dear life for about 20 seconds. All of a sudden, the unit started beeping. I let go - and oh, my God, it reset! It seems to be working fine now! This is obviously a scam by someone. Otherwise, why is this fix not mentioned anywhere? It looks like I stumbled across a $300 secret. Hopefully, this helps others. By the way, even if a tech came out and was able to do the same thing, it still would have cost the $75. What a shame.

French Door Counter Depth Refrigerator with Deli Drawer RF24FSED - Like those before me, I am hoping others can benefit from my mistake. My Samsung refrigerator is less than two years old and the ice maker doesnt work. We have done all the recommended fixes several times. Both Best Buy and Samsung will not do anything to help. Reliable appliance repairmen wont work on Samsung appliances and say they cant even get parts. Also the interior design isnt very good. The door shelves have an extra metal trim and there is space between it and the plastic wall. If something spills and gets between the metal and the plastic wall it is a nightmare to clean. I also find removing the plastic vegetable bins to clean a big hassle. I will never purchase a Samsung product again.

WE purchased this Samsung Refrigerator RFG297HD January 1, 2012. To date, we have had to change out the mother board (Samsung paid for the 2nd mother board--yeah!), the fan assembly, two broken door shelves, and we have gone through four ice makers, three @ $275.00 a pop. And YES! You heard that right: We have had to replace the ice maker on three different occasions; the first-of-four came with the product intact. (Yeha right?) Although we initially selected this Samsung because of its features, unless Samsung offers us a huge rebate for the $725.00 we have spent to repeatedly repair this refrigerators faulty ice maker, not to mention the costs associated with the other things, we will NOT ever, EVER buy another Samsung refrigerator. Not to worry: We are NOT holding our breaths, while contemplating that Samsung will come through for us. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Updated on 06/16/2019: Well, hello folks! It’s been a couple of years since I last posted. Still the same old fridge complaints. The repair guy has been here at least 4 more times since 2017. Same repairs, circuit boards, etc. THIS time he said Non-Repairable! But it’s ok, the company said they would send a check for 800 dollars. Seems they subtract the prior repairs from your purchase price!! How clever!! Which means the extended warranty is a joke! Hey!! Guess what! I paid a lot more than $800! I now am so sick of Samsung, that I will never, never again be so foolish. Btw the Samsung microwave has been just as bad. This has got to stop. These companies are not concerned about longevity, just sales. I’m ashamed of them.Original Review: Well, fridge is blowing the circuit breaker again. 2nd time in less than 2 yrs. Took 2 mos. the first time to get it fixed, wonder how long this time? H. H. Gregg in Cincinnati is now out of business, although they wasnt much help in the first place, and ext. warranty is dragging their feet again. All brand new appliances after we got our new house, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, washer, etc. controls on the stove never have worked right. Anything below 3 on the burners may work, may not. I wish I just had a fridge that cooled, let alone the icemaker working. Supposedly a couple circuit boards went bad the 1st time, and its doing the same thing this time. So we are patiently waiting for a serviceman to call back, meantime living out of a couple of coolers. BUYING SAMSUNG WAS WITHOUT A DOUBT the BIGGEST MISTAKE OF OUR LIVES!!! This company doesnt care about ANYTHING, except selling you a bill of goods! Well, they sold me once, but NEVER again. I thought they were a good company. Apparently not.

When I purchased the dishwasher, it was quiet, cleaned great and all of the dishes were dry at the end of the wash. After 1 year, the dishwasher leaked significant water to the point my Pergo floor was ruined. After year 3, the dishwasher sounds like a chainsaw every time I turn it on. It is a shame because it was a nice dishwasher initially, but IS NOT durable whatsoever. For the cost ($500) it should work for more than 1-4 years.

I have had some of the same bad experiences with Samsung products, so I decided to share my experience to help those facing the same problems as me. I have owned the top of the line dmt800RHS dishwasher for less than two years. Initially the only issue was that the dishes would not get clean enough, so I spoke to the Lowes sales person who told me to make sure the water was hot at the sink before I start my washer. Even though there is a heating element in the machine, this did seem to help. Then, we started to smell what a lot of you are complaining about. Finally, the last straw was this latest issue with the machine filling with water but not starting the wash cycle. It also drains okay. I took the washer outside and removed everything inside it. Dont worry, its not rocket science, you can do it too. Just take your time. What I found was a piece of calcium stuck between the impeller and deflector. The calcium had hardened on the heating elements. I had to remove trapped food from inside the screen. I believe that is where the smell is coming from. I laid the machine on its back and removed the white plastic cover on the bottom that has two screws. Use a flat tip screw driver to release the tabs. Once inside, use a pair of pliers to pinch and slide the clamp back to remove the black hose at about the middle of the washer bottom. Stand it upright and blast the interior with your garden hose. If you live with hard water and your heating coil is covered with calcium put the hose back on and in the upright position submerge the coil in a CLR/water mixture. It might be a good idea to use a dishwasher cleaner monthly to keep the odor and calcium down. I hope I helped someone.

I had nothing but troubles since we bought the refrigerator Samsung side by side with outside doors to get to the door shelves. First two weeks it was beeping constantly and nobody at Samsung Help could not tell me JUST to disconnect and reboot. It took two month for to get a repair man and by then I had it fixed. Then the door shelves are made of such a LOW quality that they do NOT have any quality at all. Within the first six months 3 shelves were broken in pieces and when I complained they ONLY send me 1 shelf. You keep complaining to somebody from the other side of the world and they just keep opening new ticket complains without solving the problem. They send me one more shelf and as of today I only have two door shelves working because each one costs about $60 and I do not want waste any more money. The water and ice dispenser is also a big problem, it seems to have an attitude. It dispenses ice or water whenever it pleases him not the person getting it. It would not dispense and you HAVE to figure out if the temperature its at normal or you have to open and close the doors or you have to turn the knob at the ice dispenser to get anything dispensed to you. Do not BUY it is a piece of JUNK compare to my last refrigerator that lasted 15 years without any problems. If you Do be prepared to pay them at least $240 a year in Door Shelves replacements.

I defrosted it several times by removing the freezer interior panel and using a blow dryer to melt the ice. I did some research and all I found were hopeless complaints online. I started thinking the fridge was no good. I did some troubleshooting and replaced the thermistor and defrost thermostat located in the freezer behind the panel. Thank God it worked! We Bought our RFG297AARS/XAA June 2009. We love the unit. But in late 2013 we noticed water pooling on top of the freezer door. Turns out there was a leak in the water dispenser. Out of warranty, so I needed to buy a new left door. I lived with the leak, soaking up the water from the reservoir underneath the tray with a paper towel until it became too persistent. In September of 2014, I could take no more and ordered a new door. The technicians were nearly finished installing it when they realized the handle on the new door did not match the one from the original door on the right side. It was longer, and the holes did not line up. A call to their office revealed Samsung stopped making the original door. The technicians were very nice and put the original door back. So now, instead of a 140 dollar door, I would have to buy two of them in order for the refrigerator not to look ridiculous. I called the Samsung Expert Customer Service and said I expected to pay for the left door, but that I felt it unfair to have to buy two doors because Samsung wasnt backward compatible with their handles. The handles! Though nice, the rep conferred with someone and came back to inform me that no, Samsung would not provide the matching door for me. I am now living with the leak until I figure out what to do. One thing I will not do is add to my Samsung collection of 3 televisions, a large computer monitor and a dishwasher. Their refusal to provide a 140 dollar door, on a $3k unit, to match the one I am already buying, because they stopped making the original handle, comes with this result: the thousands I will spend in the future on electronics and appliances will not go to what used to be one of my favorite companies. I will make sure to tell everyone I know and everyone I see in stores looking at a Samsung product. Thats really all I can do with my displeasure, all any consumer who feels wronged can do.

I purchased and a 2 door stainless steel refrigerator assembly and in 3 to 5 months we had to replace the ice maker - since then we are on our 4th ice maker. I have had many contacts with Samsung corp, and customer service and now that the unit is out of warranty they now tell me that the repairs will be at my cost - I simply requested a replacement unit for the one that I have. With saying that I have to add that I also have the microwave, oven, smart tv and dishwasher.I have been on the phones with Samsung tech support for hours going over what we are experiencing with their product - they just keep saying now that the unit is out of warranty and that I didnt purchase an extended warranty my request for a replacement unit is and I quote not an option. My question to them is that this problem was existing during the warranty period and 2 ice makers have been replaced during that time. I would think they would have taken that into consideration for it is obvious this problem was pre-existing prior to purchase. I guess their business is stronger than the consumers of their products. They stated to me the only thing they will offer is a one time free repair to the unit and that was the best they could do. I then asked if we have the repair done and 3-5 months again down the road this happens again then what? They said they could say at this time.In other words you just ** out of luck and $1500.00. I wasnt asking for restitution on any type. I just asked for a replacement unit and that was no longer an option because the unit was out of warranty. In closing, I must say I can no longer support the Samsung product. And in closing a message to the Samsung corporation - the definition of great company service is not defined when things are going right. It is defined when things are going wrong!!!!

BUYER BEWARE: From the day I received the refrigerator, the bottom load freezer never worked. Within a six week period; I made multiple calls to SAMSUNG; was sent two local techs, who was in contact with the samsung; Samsung cancelled the third tech with no explanation and the freezer is still not working. Dealing with the SAMSUNG SERVICE DEPT. has been one long nightmare. They have an 800 number so you do not get to speak to the same person; they are located all over the USA and Dominican Republic. I was given misinformation, hung up on, transferred to other agents multiple times and had to re-explain the reason for my call over and over again. The agents read off a script about their service policy I cannot get a replacement refrigerator until a part has been replaced twice AND THEIR service tech deems it unrepairable; I cannot receive reimbursement for lost food until the refrigerator has been fixed. The problem with my appliance is that there was a factory defect with the freezer drawer, the techs were telling me, but not communicating this information to the SAMSUNG TECh. I was assigned a case worker after the initial conversation about the problem, I never heard from them again.

The ice maker in our refrigerator initially leaked. A repair tech changed the seal to the outer door and suggested not using crushed ice. The ice maker then starting building up a lot of frozen water and the ice cubes jammed when they went to drop. A repair tech applied silicone sealant around the exterior of the ice box. The ice maker continued to jam. A repair tech replaced the electrical board that would help the ice maker defrost and not build up ice. The ice maker then quit making ice cubes. A repair tech said the ice box should be changed. This could not be done because no part number could be made. Another repair tech said the ice maker needed replacement, but he could not remove the ice box because of the sealant. Another repair tech replaced the ice maker by removing one screw and not touching the ice box. The ice maker is making ice but now the ice will not come out of the ice maker. For a $3000 refrigerator this is a terrible ice maker and even worse instructions for repair technicians. Samsung will not stand behind making repairs beyond the first year. The extended warranty company has done everything they can to make it difficult to accomplish repairs.

Im very disappointed with the product and upset at the lack of customer service and support. I purchased a refrigerator from Home Depot (22.5 cu ft food showcase french door, in stainless model # RF23HTEDBSR) and 110 days after purchase the unit failed. The first call to Samsung Service resulted in a technician coming out 5 days later and within minutes it was determined that the compressor and evaporator coil had failed. After 12 weeks, they failed. He was unable to repair and told me parts would be in next week.I found this unacceptable, that a nearly $3,000 unit would fail after 12 weeks and I would be without use of refrigeration for several weeks while waiting for repair. I had food that spoiled but more importantly for me and my family, had no use of fridge or freezer for weeks. I called Samsung service again to ask if something could be done and was told the system was down and could they call me back. I have yet to receive that callback. The transaction number is **. The unit was a lemon, I deserve a new unit or my funds returned. The inconvenience of this episode continues to rob me of time and has insured I will do my best to avoid Samsung products in the future. The poor customer service reflects poorly on the entire company.

I bought a suite a Samsung appliances 13 months ago. These were middle-of-the-road appliances costing around $4000 for a suite of 4 appliances. During the first 12 months of ownership, the refrigerator broke 4 times and the dishwasher broke 4 times. The appliances were warrantied for 1 year. Dealing with Samsung on the phone was outlandishly bad. I spent over 12 overs on the phone over the course of 3 days getting the last repair order for both refrigerator and dishwasher straight! 12 hours!!! I asked to be compensated for my time as that was completely unreasonable. 2 managers assured me Id be emailed a form to submit, neither sent the form. At this moment, my dishwasher is again broken. The tub has cracked and is leaking. Again, my appliances are now 13 months old! Ive never dealt with a company like this, and find the quality of their products absolutely abysmal. I bought a new Samsung Stainless Steel Range in November 2011. I was away for 3 years and the stove was hardly used. Just got home and was cooking for about two months. It seems to have a problem heating the oven and cooking a small chicken takes much too long. Burned on the top and undercooked below. But the MAJOR issue was my exploding cooktop. I was sitting in the living room. I had just warmed my soup and had turned the cooktop off. I then heard a major explosion... like a gun going off in the kitchen. The cooktop had completely shattered. There was nothing on the stove thank goodness and no glass was projected into the room but it really scared me. I know from reading the other complaints I share customer experiences of poor quality and feeling afraid of your stove. I also know they will tell me the stove is past its warranty. I wont even try. It was defective with only 7 months of real use. Built in obsolescence is alive and well with Samsung.

Wow. Look at all these reviews. Same **, different user. I have the same microwave that everyone is complaining about here. This microwave has always been noisy (really noisy) and the keypad hard to use. We bought it to replace a Kenmore microwave that was over 20 years old (like our fridge), but still working. Now, we are getting the common SE problem; no amount of beating, unplugging, cursing, or other trickery will coax it into working. I went with this one because it looked great with our Frigidaire cooktop and oven, and I did not care for the styling of the Frigidaire micro. What a crock! Appliances should last. The oven that gave up and had to be replaced was a Magic Chef from 1966. Show me an appliance from a contemporary manufacturer that lasts over 50 years these days. Not gonna happen. I did expect to get more than 2 years out of a $300 microwave, however. I lust the Samsung fridges, but I will have to get over it and see if Kenmore can provide one with the same features when I need that, because I will not be getting a Samsung. I have a phone (4 years old) that will need replacing soon, and the iPhone is looking pretty good. Now, I’m glad we went with another manufacturer for the recently purchased TV, judging from the tales of customer service listed on the site. We will try the panel repair tonight, but I am sure the Magnetron will bite it soon, according to the others. So it will be a matter of time before I have to purchase another microwave, not a Samsung this time, no matter how sexy it is.

Second Samsung appliance that failed in just a few years and had to be replaced. Fridge had to be replaced due to continued failure and expensive repair. I will never purchase Samsung products. Dangerous and fire hazards when it comes to electrical parts.

Purchased NE58F9500S 05/20/2015. One month ago I smelled smoke and then felt a lot of heat from the panel and oven. Which were turned off at the time. Now only 2 burners work and we turn the breaker off when not in use, while we wait for our GE stove to be delivered in mid October. I will never buy another appliance from Samsung.

We purchased a Samsung french door refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom. The ice maker didnt work on day one, they sent someone to replace it. This should have been a clue to us, after about 18 months it quit working again. Repair guy replaced the ice maker TWICE with no luck. Finally Samsung informed him that he needed to replace the ice maker and the board at the same time in order for it to work. It lasted about 9 months and is broken again. During that time it would stop making ice for a few days (I like to say it went on vacation which I cant afford to do because I have to keep repairing my stupid ice maker!!). Anyway, now its no longer making any ice - I think it decided to retire and move to a warmer climate. Now were buying bags of ice, which is a pain in the you know what, I cant stand room temperature water. Never, never, ever buy a Samsung refrigerator.

We purchased the Samsung DMT400RHB/XAA dishwasher in November 2012. The first three months went smooth but we had our first service call in February. Slow drainage. Then again in June we needed servicing again. Dishwasher fail to drain. We couldnt use the machine for over a week!!! Now the last straw. We had to call the technician out AGAIN!! For the dishwasher failure to drain and he indicated we needed a new drain pump. Had the machine less than 2 years but yet I need to buy a new drain pump at a price of $263.00. Ridiculous. Needless to say I wont be buying another Samsung household product.

On 8/29/16 we purchased the 25 cu ft French Door with External Water & Ice Dispenser, Model Number: RF263BEAESG/AA Refrigerator in the Black Stainless finish. Delivered 9/3/16. We purchased this high end very pricey fridge, a high end matching gas range and dishwasher so we spent a pretty decent amount of money. The set was ordered from a local appliance store and was NOT a scratch & dent product. While from a distance the fridge looks fantastic, dont look too close. Under the factory packaging (plastic protective packaging & cardboard was not damaged at all) there were numerous scratches and a small dent in the upper left door. I would expect a new expensive appliance such as this would not arrive in this condition. The appliance store is closing and unable to order a new refrigerator or even just a new door. I dont need an entire new fridge, just an undamaged door.Samsung feels it is our problem and refused to do anything about it. While waiting on hold the recorded message spoke of their commitment to customer service. Well we didnt get that, in fact just the opposite. Interesting is that we really like Samsung and have always promoted their products. This is the first issue weve had and they failed us. I would not recommend this product due to how fragile it seems to be and Samsung will not make it right. I have a beautiful new kitchen with very nice high end Samsung appliances, except for the scratched and dented fridge. Is this really what I waited for all these years? Extremely disappointed. How hard would it be to replace my door? Any other appliance store would have sent it back to Samsung and requested a replacement from Samsung. Why cant Samsung just do that for me?Thanks alot Samsung. Also, I submitted this same review on Samsungs site and guess what? They wont post it.

I bought a brand new Samsung refrigerator from Sears. We noticed these loud clanking, whirring and groaning noises from the first day it was delivered. At first we thought maybe it was just making these terrible noises due to cooling down and it would stop eventually. It never did. I called Sears a couple days past the 30 days since we received it and they told me that I had to call Samsung and that it would be covered under my warranty. So, I called Samsung, who scheduled a service appointment with me. These two guys who barely spoke English advised me that the noise was caused by my ice maker, so they turned the ice maker off and left, saying the noise should be resolved now. Well...I SHOULD be able to use my ice maker....right??? Brand new fridge and the SOLUTION is not to USE my ice maker??? HUH???So, fast forward to the next scheduled visit by the Samsung repair guys. Same guys. They tell me that the ice maker is BACK ON. I advised that I didnt even know where it was to turn it on. They said they turned it off, and left. Assuring me that the noises are perfectly normal. Just dont use my Ice maker. WHATEVER. Brand new Fridge! I cant use my ice maker? Thats the solution?!Next Samsung visit. I asked for a different technician. They send out a new guy, who tells me that the issue is a bar like thing from the freezer. He says he will schedule the repair and parts. Admits that the noises are NOT normal. Next scheduled visit, the same two original guys show up again and they have a fan, and some other parts THAT are OBVIOUSLY NOT what was shown to me and needed replacement. So, I ask them to CALL the last technician and find out what they were to replace. SOOOO... they leave and say that a different technician needs to replace the part.Next scheduled visit, the manager shows up and says that he hears the sounds and its the MOTOR and the COMPRESSOR. The MAIN working operational parts for a fridge!!! So, they schedule another visit with THOSE parts. Next visit, they replace the motor and the compressor in my now 2 month old refrigerator. AND ITS STILL MAKING THE NOISES!I asked for a replacement, since now I have essentially a REFURBISHED BRAND NEW REFRIGERATOR... and SAMSUNG customer service tells me... get this...The sounds coming from my refrigerator are NORMAL! I can hear the thing making groaning noises like its dying from the opposite end of the house, at approximately 1,000 ft away! SAMSUNG and their outsourced technicians are a racket/scam and they are making a fortune by ignoring their responsibilities to honor the warranty. They wont fix the issue, and they also wont replace. Now, I will be faced with hiring an attorney... simply because of the principle of the matter. Im tired of consumers being taken advantage of. I have a shiny refurbished piece of crap in my kitchen. Likewise, I have a 20 year old perfectly running, quiet refrigerator in my garage that I paid a fraction for and have NEVER had a single issue with it. Lesson learned here folks, is NEVER, EVER, EVER buy a Samsung refrigerator. EVER.

Two months after buying a brand new side by side Samsung refrigerator, a fan blade broke and the sound was very loud. It took Samsung 10 days to find a technician to come to the house. The gentlemen discovered the defected blade and was quite surprised being that it was only two months old. He suspected a manufacturers defect and he ordered the part, but it would take several days. In the meantime, we had lost the food in the freezer and refrigerator. I then called Samsungs customer service and explained everything as it happened. She was not very sympathetic and said that the part was on its way and thats the best that they could do. It was a major purchase for us and we felt cheated. I bought a Samsung microwave about a year and half ago. At the time it was a fancy microwave with all the bells and whistles. Great right?! Yea...I thought so too. So after shelling out quite a bit for a microwave, the door actually failed within 1 year. It just randomly came up with an error code and stopped working. Apparently, this was a well known issue with this model and Samsung replaced the door. However, the replacement door is also now under a year of use and the back side of the door is plastic. Well it literally crumbled into pieces. I called Samsung and they told me conveniently the manufacturer warranty is 1 year total and the replacement door is not warranted for an additional year. So since I am 4 months outside of the original warranty (not when the new door was replaced) it would cost $250 at least to fix. Its a practically new microwave and it needs $250 to fix. Samsung does not care about customer service at all. I will no longer support their products. This is not right.

Samsung customer service said there isn’t anything they can do but send another tech at my expense. Spoke to a representative who said Samsung couldn’t do anything for me since my warranty has expired. Since it is the same part that Samsung suffered a lawsuit in 2010, I strongly believe this issue has not been resolved in newer models either. My model was not part of the lawsuit. In November of 2015 we purchased a Samsung refrigerator French door BLK SS unit model number RF263BEAESG. In June of 2017 we started having trouble with the ice maker not working, and frosting up. On June 30th 2017 I contacted Samsung and they put a online service request ticket in for me. They told me I would be notified within 3 business days of when someone could come and repair the refrigerator. On July 10th I received another email from Samsung support and it said that my ticket had been cancelled the email read as follows your repair for service ticket has been cancelled. If you need service please contact us and it gave the phone number 1 800 Samsung. Thank you for your cooperation. Since then I tried to find someone in the local area that could come out and look at and or repair the unit. After several phone calls I was able to find someone that works on Samsung appliances. On July 18th a service tech came to my house and told me I had three issues the ice maker was going bad the fan in the freezer was going bad and at this point it was making a horrendous noise and then the fan in the refrigerator in the back that whole unit needed to be replaced. The total cost for these repairs are going to be about $800. At this point I have a really tough decision to make do I dump an additional $800 into this refrigerator and hope that it lasts, or do I bite the bullet and buy another refrigerator from a different manufacturer. I have responded to the emails from Samsung support I have gotten no further response from them. I do intend to let them know what is wrong with the refrigerator and what it is going to cost to repair it. While I understand it is out of warranty, it is not even 2 years old yet and should not be having these major issues.I will never buy another Samsung Appliance and I would never recommend to anyone that I know to buy one whether they are family friend or Foe. This has been such a disappointing experience for me. I can only hope that some attorney somewhere reads all of these complaints and puts together a class action lawsuit against Samsung. Someone needs to hold them accountable for making a product of such poor quality. People buy for the Samsung name because their Electronics have always been number one in the market. Their total lack of customer support has me wondering if I should even keep my Samsung smartphone. I find it hard to support a company that will not support its customers.

My icemaker dispenser stopped dispensing cubed ice. It still dispensed crushed ice and water. I called Samsung for factory authorized service. They arranged for one of their authorized repair serviceman to perform repair. I watched as he called Samsung to talk to a tech. Im an electrician and it became apparent to me he did not know what he was doing. He listened to the tech and using his meter, he checked several connections on the printed circuit board. Several times, he was checking the wrong terminals and had to ask the tech to repeat where to check. He said he needed to order parts and would be back in a few weeks. When he returned, he installed the parts and said everything was working. I paid $433.77. Later, I noticed there was no ice being made. When I tried the dispenser, it no longer tried to dispense any ice cubed or crushed. I called Samsung to complain. I was given a phone number to call. The person there listened to the trouble I was having and said the parts replaced would not have fixed my problem. He said he would send out parts and arrange for a different repair company to install. When the new repair person arrived, he listened to my problem and said the parts sent would not fix the trouble. He checked out a few things. When he put the parts back together, the water dispenser no longer worked. He said he would need to call Samsung for parts and left. After two weeks, I called to find out the status. I was told that Samsung would not authorize any farther repair but nobody bothered to call me.I called Samsung again and was told they were sorry about the misunderstanding and issued a new work order number. A few days later, I received an email stating the work order number was cancelled. Another call, another order number and again another cancel email. Again, I called, got a new number and again a few days later, a cancel e-mail. I called again, this time, I was asked to hold. Before the operator put me on hold, I heard him say to someone else, Its that (my name) again. What do you want to do? Then he hit the hold button. When he came back on line, he said Samsung was no longer going to attempt any repair. When I stated that I was out $433 and my unit was worse than when their repair people started working on it, he stated, Sorry but youre on your own. This story has been abbreviated for space allowed. This exchange went on for almost three months and involved many, many phone calls and e-mails. It involved nine different service order numbers, most of which were cancelled within days of being issued. Do not buy any Samsung product. They will not stand behind it with quality service and will just try to drag out the problem until you go away.

I bought my RSG257AARS side by side refrigerator 4 years ago. Everything was great with it until the compressor stopped working properly and all the coolant leaked. When I called an appliance repair shop they told me that Samsung only lets people who are trained by Samsung repair their fridges. She was very nice and told me where to go to find someone in our service area. Here in the DC/VA/MD area I could initially only find 3 people who would work on my fridge and it took me a week and a half to get an appointment. I lost EVERYTHING in my fridge and freezer. Then, they charged by $300.00 for a visit! Now, less than 90 days later (and the part was only good for 60-day warranty) I am having the SAME problem and now have to call a separate appliance repair place to come fix it, AGAIN! I will NEVER EVER buy another Samsung appliance in my life. The Samsung Customer Service department gives me the runaround. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG Appliance. I purchased Samsung Chef Collection refrigerator around Nov/Dec of 2014. Best looking refrigerator at the time. Paid over $4000. Well, I must say, it does look good, but where is the bases of the GOOD REFRIGERATOR? I wonder. Reason being is that, the ICE MAKER has been giving me problem about 9 months into use. Ice would not come out, so I tried to pull the ice basket off. It was stuck and could not remove it. Called warranty service, then it was close to being expired. Tech came and fixed it, then month later it was doing it again. Seems to me that when ice is being produced, the water splashes along the wall and it freezes the mechanism around it. When tech came, he had to turn off the refrigerator and use the steamer to melt around it. Another problem that I am experience is when ICE is being dispensed, only CRUSHED ICE will come out. So, I guess entire ICE MACHINE is just a JUNK after all. I would not recommend you getting this unit. I should have listen to the sales person, because, he did say, Samsung has weak ICE Machine, but didnt warn me enough. (He should have said, ICE MACHINE is a some Piece of **.) I hope they will do recall on this unit or replace it at no cost. Better yet, they better come out with better ICE MACHINE Technology that will simply produce ICE.

We purchased this Samsung Stainless Steel Model DW80F800UWS from Best Buy as a package deal along with a fridge, oven and washer/dryer. This dishwasher has been the only problem and has been defective in the first two months after our purchase. We had a drainage error code problem which a local company contracted with Samsung came out and replaced the part. After 6 months, they had to come out again and replace test another part. These both were under warranty. A third time the same sensor had gone out and they said it wasnt under warranty and that we would have to pay $350 to fix. This was almost half the price of the product. We could not afford to fix the problem and after leaving it sit for 6 months and hand washing dishes I decided to test it to see if it would work and it has ran 5 full cycles. My only guess is that the sensor has to dry out. So after every time I wash I leave the door open to air dry the unit and wait almost 24 hours before loading it up and running it. This is a pain and I know that my working unit will soon give me that dreaded error code again and Im back to hand washing dishes. Samsung definitely should have a class action lawsuit against them for knowingly having installed faulty sensors that give out immediately and making owners annoyed but happy at a free immediate repair on them until warranty expires and then we have to spend hundreds on a part that probably cost them a few bucks to make. Id also like to include that his unit has never successfully cleaned dishes. There have always been food residue along with wet dishes after the cycle has completed. I actually had a repairmen tell me that with this unit I needed to wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Also, they told me to not use tabs but to use powder so I could add twice the amount of dishwasher cleaner needed to break down food particles. I also need to run the kitchen faucet awhile before starting to get the water hot it would wash better. I, like an idiot did all of these things. Maybe if I stand on one leg and twirl around it might make it work also.

I bought a Samsung Range under a year ago and have been having problems with it ever since. When using the oven, it heats my cabinets, knobs, walls, over the range microwave, and exterior portions of the range to over 160 degrees. When using the oven the stove knobs are too hot to even turn on the stove top. We called Samsung and they immediate sent out a service technician. The tech said the area was getting extremely warm but the range was working properly. We again called Samsung because we are unable to use this unsafe product in our home and they were very rude and not concerned about our safety, but agreed to send another tech out. Second tech, said it was getting warm and that’s how ovens work and left. I know for a fact that this is NOT how ovens work. My cabinets and over the range microwave are nearly too hot to open when the oven is on. My neighbor has the exact same range and hers is not operating this way, so I know there is an issue with mine. We are not able to use this oven at this point due to safety issues as my husband has already received burns. Samsung is not willing to resolve this issue and that is unacceptable, especially because it is still under warranty.

Samsung refuses to honor warranty. 4 door refrigerator RF23J9011SG/AA. [ New ] As a loyal user of Samsung products from 3 tvs, 3 phones, and 2 refrigerators I expected when I purchased my beautiful 4 door refrigerator that I would enjoy the same top quality that I have always had with Samsung products. After less than two years of service, my 4 door refrigerator, that cost over $3,000 has developed an issue. The bottom (Freezer section) is working fine but the top (fridge) section is now hot. Since the warranty on the compressor and associated parts is 5 years I thought that, although anything can have an issue, Samsung would honor the warranty to repair the unit. They did agree to send a technician out to look at the refrigerator so I was pleased that they would honor their warranty. The interesting part is that the technician only removed the inside panel at the back of the fridge to inspect the coil and fan area. The only test that he did was to unplug a temp sensor and plug one in that he brought to see if the compressor would kick on, which it did not. He also took some pictures of the inside of the fridge and sent them in, he said, to a Samsung technician who, in turn from some unknown location determined that the problem is Environmental because of a small section of copper tubing at the top of the coil has some green corrosion on it (Not the Coil itself). I was confused because this is what copper does when exposed to moisture (inside the fridge) and air. The technician told me that he was not sure but that is what Samsung said. He then removed the panels covering the electronics on the back of the fridge, tested absolutely nothing other than seeing if the LED lights were on and then told me there was nothing that he could do because it is from an environmental problem. The problem with this theory is, #1 copper turns green when exposed to air and moisture, very common and expected. Secondly, if it were an environmental issue then the copper lines on the back of the unit leading to the compressors (there are 2, one for freezer, one for fridge) would be corroded since they are ACTUALLY exposed to the Environment and off course, they are not corroded but look absolutely new. Fast forward today, one week later, and I paid Mr. Appliance to come out and actually diagnose the fridge issue. The problem is that there is an issue with the compressor. And, as I expected, they told me that the idea of environmental issues causing this is absolutely ridiculous. They did, however kindly offer me an estimate of almost $1,000 to repair it. Very disappointed with Samsungs handling of this situation, by the attitude of the tech they sent out, it almost seems as though they intended to find any reason possible not to honor their own warranty.

The worst fridge imaginable! Avoid purchasing a Samsung fridge with exterior ice & water dispenser. We have the French door version (not our first weve had LG in the past) and since Day 1 it has caused us grief and damaged our hardwood floors. The water dispenser nozzle is bent towards the fridge instead of straight down (default setting apparently according to Samsung), and dispenses water with such force that no matter what you do, you end up with water shooting back at you and ultimately onto the floor. Similar problems with the ice dispenser. Although it is always on CUBE setting, shards of ice always spill forth in all directions, ultimately ending up on the floor. We have had to place a tea towel beside the fridge to wipe up the floors EACH TIME we use either ice or water dispenser. Both water and ice dispensers have damaged our hardwood floors over time, and we have had this fridge for only 7 months! Calling Samsung warranty and repair is a nightmare too; disorganized group of customer service representatives who patch you through to another department, ultimately making you repeat the reason why you are calling in the first place. (Why Samsung doesnt have a customer complaint database accessible to all customer service reps is shocking to me.)Ultimately through Samsung we had a visit from a Samsung Certified Repair technician who fiddled around with a couple things and attempted to convince us all was good. We still have the same problems. I am going to work on returning this fridge. How anyone can purchase an appliance that damages your house AND requires you to do extra work is beyond comprehension. We purchased the fridge at Sears Canada and I will be fighting tooth and nail to exchange this for an LG.

Recently bought a home that had fairly new Samsung appliances. Not thrilled with brand to begin with. After experiencing several service calls, I will NEVER EVER BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. Fridge was leaking, tech came and cleaned lines. Thought it was resolved. Then we had problems with ice maker. Did some kind of service. Didnt resolve loud banging noise. (2 service calls) Had to buy brand new ice maker... another service call. Fridge started leaking again. My research concluded that the line behind back wall needs a clip. Wall has to be totally removed and line repaired... another $189. OR we can shut down fridge overnight and it will resolve. Well, that worked... for a month. Now I have the pooling of water under the produce shelf which ultimately leaks onto floor. Do I dare call the service tech again??? What else is lurking after this problem? Way too many problems with these expensive and newer appliances! Do you know if there is a class action suit regarding these appliances, and if so... Im IN!

Good day, I am writing to you today in regards to an ongoing issue that I have been having with my fridge and the lack of customer service I have been receiving from Samsung. My transaction # **. My fridge was bought in 2012 and I have been having major issues with it since 2014. In 2014 I had to replace the main board because it completely shut down. A few months later, it started making loud noises and leaking from the bottom. As I had just spent $1,100 on the fridge in 2012 and another $425 in 2014 including parts and labor, I was hoping these issues were manageable. Recently it has not been cooling properly and I have lost a lot of food. I have been in contact with numerous departments within Samsung in the past couple of weeks and I did manage to get someone have a Samsung-approved company come out and diagnose it at no charge. When the company came out, they determined that the fridge needed 6 parts and the total including labor would be $628. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with this issue as Samsung is supposed to be of high quality and should stand behind their products. I understand that my product is out of the 1 year warranty but lets be honest, Im looking at having to spend a total of over $1000 in less than 5 years on what is supposed to be a quality product. I am seeking help from Samsung in the cost of fixing my fridge and they all say that there is absolutely nothing they can do for me. I am a loyal Samsung customer with my fridge, washer, TV, Blu-ray and cell phones being Samsung. I am in desperate need of help as soon as possible as I have 2 disabled people that have meds that have to be refrigerated and a 2-year old.

We bought this dishwasher in Nov. 2011 for our new kitchen. The dishwasher had at least two or three minor problems over the course of one year. They range from not starting to electronic display problems. Finally, last week in early Dec., it died right after the warranty had expired. We had a tech come and he confirmed that the motor had burnt out which would cost over $500 to repair!

We purchased the Samsung french door model at Sears. After that, it had broken several times in three years (ice maker). I tried to research this brand and others, and we went with this model. It has to be the sorriest and smallest ice maker that exists. Do not buy this ref if you use over three glasses of ice a day. It sucks.

Although I could write a book about my experience with this refrigerator and Samsungs customer service, I will keep this short. I did like the flexibility of this unit, FlexZone, but overall, its not worth the money, by any means. The ice maker has never worked and after 5 months of use, the compressor has now blown. Next, getting help thru Samsungs customer service has been more than disappointing. By the time their service repair gets to me, I will have been without a refrigerator for 10 days. Bottom line, not only would I not buy another Samsung refrigerator, I will never buy another Samsung product.
