RF25HM FREEZER DOES NOT FREEZE! We purchased a Samsung in July 2015. In March of this year the drawer freezer stopped working, as did the ice maker. Set up an appointment for them to come out to diagnose the problem. The service tech was here yesterday and did an excellent job of troubleshooting the problem. He thought it would be a simple part replacement (circuit board). As it turned out, it was a sealed unit problem and it would be very expensive. The refrigerator still cools, just not the freezer. He explained that the freezer and refer share the same compressor, the part that operates the freezer was clogged or not functioning properly. I assume there is a valve of sorts that changes from refer to freezer when necessary. In essence, I am saying that Samsung is junk. DO NOT BUY! They should stick to cell phones and tablets. We have a Samsung Smart TV that we wish we hadnt purchased too! The frustrating part is that it was just over the warranty period. I am certain that I am not alone in this, when you pay over $2000 for a refrigerator it should last longer than just under 4 years!

We paid $2700 for a Samsung refrigerator with an extended five year warranty. A few months after the warranty ran out, the compressor died. For $95, Samsung’s repairman recommended buying a new refrigerator rather than paying over $1000 for the repair. Samsung Support recommended finding an unauthorized repairman that might do the repair at a lower price. Meanwhile, we are using our 29 year old Hotpoint refrigerator that we have in our garage.

Bought fridge July 1, 2015. Bought extended plan. 9/13/2016 started making motor noise. Repair came 9/21/16, said it was motor. Part has not come in as of 10/31/16. On 10/28/16 freezer stopped working. Lost freezer contents. On 10/30/16, freezer motor and started running again & got cold. Still a loud running noise. Repair cant come out until 11/2/16. But they still have no part. I am very unhappy. I will NEVER purchase another Samsung appliance again. Am letting all my friends know to stay away from them too! Over a month to fix a year old fridge. Unacceptable.

After paying for months for a new refrigerator, which was over $2,500, which is a lot of money to me, after about a year, it started making a noise. I called Samsung for them to tell me that a service tech would come out, but that was not covered under warranty and I did not buy the extended warranty. Well, after I spent that much money, I didnt think I needed to spend additional amount for an extended warranty. Was I wrong? Another $300 for some 18-year-old kid to just switch out a motor. Here we are 11 months later with the same problem, mainly because the first technician didnt fix it right the first time. It constantly freezes up, and water is under the vegetables bins. What a lemon. People, do your homework and never buy a Samsung refrigerator! This one had the ice and water on the outside and the French doors. I was really upgrading, and I had to make payments. Samsung couldn’t care less!

DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG DISHWASHER. Customer Service hold time is over an hour. Told this is normal. No return phone calls for follow-up. Seems like they (Samsung) is looking for a way not to repair/honor warranty. Contracted Repair company for my area is 6 hours away from residence AND reviews are disgusting. I wish I had never purchased Samsung Dishwasher. If I could get a refund I would.

Samsung Fridge RF28HFEDBSR. Yes another bad review. We bought the fridge 6/9/2014 when it was new and not more than a month old. The ice maker goes out. They replace the ice maker and 2 months later it freezes on us. This time they sent out a repairman with a hair dryer, yes, a HAIR DRYER and defrosted the problem. Fixed for 2 days. I have had the dance of the repair and replace for 3 years now. We keep buying the warranty and they keep fixing and replacing. You would think they would have a fix for this by now. Why havent they offered to replace the fridge? I no longer own any Samsung products.

Do Not Buy Samsung. I’ve had my Samsung Refrigerator for 3 years. Yesterday we had the ice maker replaced for the 5th Time. I did contact Samsung’s customer service. Sai ** from this department responded with this nugget: “I’ve checked in our resources and see that there are no reported issues with the refrigerator model #RF23J9011SR/AA. It is quite regrettable that this doesnt reflect in your experience.” I’d suggest googling “Samsung Refrigerators”, then you be the judge. I don’t believe you will buy one after doing so.

Samsung Microwave SMH9187ST - I bought this microwave in January 2011 and paid $270. Last night, the microwave turned itself on for about 15 seconds, then displayed the dreaded 5E / SE code. This was one of the top-rated microwaves on consumer reports when I bought it. I have gotten more use out of microwaves that have cost 1/5 the price. This thing should last more than two years when you only use it a few times a week. I will have to reconsider Samsung products for my future purchases.

Samsung Refrigerator Model RF4287HARS/XAA. As someone else had just posted on this site, I also had the number 1 and the letter E flashing on my refrigerator panel after a power outage when the power came back on. We called the 800# and were told to unplug for 10 minutes and that it would reset. We plugged it back in and it did not fix the problem. I called the 1-800-Samsung number again and was told, Sorry, your 1 year warranty was up in September. So my 1-1/2 year old refrigerator cost me $421.58 to fix. They had to replace the main board. I am outraged that something that I just spent $2800.00 on had now cost me $421.58 in repairs. I will never buy this brand again. I should have bought American made!

13 months after purchasing our Samsung Refrigerator the icemaker went out. It leaks constantly inside the fridge and in the cup area. I constantly have to have a paper towel there to soak up the water. It freezes up about once a week and my husband has to use the hair dryer to get it going again. Sometimes we get real cubes, but most of the time we get slushy cubes. We were dazzled by the French door version with the outside access drawer in the middle and paid $2,400. Two years later I vow to never buy another Samsung appliance. Samsung is no help. I hope the class action lawsuit can do something, but the legal process is so long, Ill probably be dead by then!

Let me add my voice to the other dissatisfied owners of a Samsung refrigerator. The ** ice maker freezes up about once a week. I have to use a hair dryer to thaw out the ice which is frozen in the rear of the icemaker. From the reviews here, I can see that this is a common problem with Samsung icemakers. I was in a Home Depot store recently and Samsung is still using the same design of icemaker. I hope people read the reviews written here and look to other companies. DO NOT PURCHASE A SAMSUNG!! I will never again buy ANYTHING manufactured by Samsung.

This is ongoing problem since more than one month. I called Trail Appliances technician. First visit the technician said “problem with your filter” – totally wrong diagnosis. Second time the technician came he tried for 1 hr – no clue and he said will come again. Third time he came and he thinks it might be control panel (but he is not sure). When I talk to manager he said max the part cost will be $250 and they ordered the part even without my concern. Now parts came to their branch and was waiting for their call. When no call came I called them and they said we called on May 20/2016. No one has replied. Was just wrong. Now the part value is $500. Almost doubles. The customer service is very unprofessional from Trail Appliances. I feel like they are looting. With this problem there was a flooding on my floor and the wooden floor get damaged. Ceiling in basement also get damaged and estimated expense of $15000 for this faulty Samsung French door refrigerator and the technician they dont have a clue whats wrong. Talk to Samsung but they are also not cooperative and the worst service I have received from Samsung and Trail Appliances. Not sure what to do next. Any comments from these affairs guys?

We bought our 1st Samsung side-by-side fridge in late-2006. Just after the 1-yr warranty expired, the twin cooling system froze in the refrigerator side. Recommended appliance repairman literally took a knife to chip ice off of the equipment. Had to call a 2nd repairman who completed it but discovered the touch screen didnt work properly (again not covered by warranty). In 2014, bought a 2nd Samsung (4-door model). Had problem with touch screen but when repairman came, couldnt duplicate problem. Of course, after warranty expired, housing for water filter started leaving debris (white substance) in the filter & ice & water stopped. Repairman said housing was a faulty design & Samsung was working to correct the design. Then he said the touch screen wasnt working either. After repeated calls to Samsung by me, the repairman & even my husband, the final conclusion from the manager was that they didnt have a record of the touch screen malfunctioning prior to warranty ending! So, like our 1st fridge (which we moved downstairs), we opted not to repair the touchscreen but did pay to replace the housing. This week I had repairman out for both fridges with identical problems as before. When filter housing was changed out in Sept-2015, it had not been redesigned. So... now $325 cost to repair housing & at least have confirmation it will be with redesigned part. Still leaving compromised touchscreen untouched. Cost to replace damaged parts on downstairs fridge = $505!Now if I wasnt smart enough to learn my lesson, when our washer went out we read consumer reports that highly recommended the Samsung appliances. Purchased them, immediately had problems - fought with Samsung for weeks and finally went to Lowes to let them know that their reputation was at stake because they sell Samsung products. Lowes went above and beyond and graciously took care of my problems with my dryer. Since that time I have received a recall about the problem with the washer. Sorry for this long. Review but Ive had more experience than I would like with Samsung and I do not believe in the quality nor their integrity. My advice to you - dont buy Samsung!

I will never buy another Samsung product again! The high-end dishwasher stopped working after three months! They gave us a run-around about the warranty. They tried to say it was an electrical issue and would not send a repair person out until we hired an electrician. The electrician we hired verified it was a bad control panel and not our fault. They finally sent out someone and they confirmed. They were supposed to come back in two weeks to install the new part. We have called over 20 times and Samsung does not return phone calls and claim they will help and then do not respond. They have horrible customer service. We were warned that they never stand behind their warranties, but we bought anyway. Big mistake on our part! We will never buy Samsung again! Please do not make the same mistake we did!

Purchased a Samsung oven June 5, 2016. Within 18 months the finish on the inside started peeling off. If you pull out the oven racks the finish is off, the bottom of the oven the finish is off. We paid $ 1700.00 for this oven and of course Samsung will not do anything, they say its cosmetic. Regardless if it is cosmetic or not an oven should last longer than 18 months, unless it is not meant to be used for baking or cooking. And of course if the powder coating is peeling then the cooking temp, will vary which it does, have hotspots. Samsung does not care about their customers, they sell crappy products. I was shocked when my brand new dishwasher didn’t do a good job washing my dishes and I often had to run them through another cycle or finish them off by hand. Then it got worse, the soap didn’t dissolve and none of the dishes were clean. I called suport and 4 days later someone came out to take a look at it. Said the motor was defective and was going to order a new part. No idea when it would be in. So unworkable brand new dishwasher - needs a new motor, and I am not happy with getting a repair.I request them to send me a new one. Good luck with that - apparently it has to broken multiple times before they replace it... Looks like I’m stuck dealing with a horrible product until I decide I had enough and throw it away. Buyer beware, the product is pricy, the quality is horrible and the company could care a less about providing a better customer experience.

I purchased a Samsung Model # ME18H704SFS Over the Counter Microwave April 17, 2017. I was away two months over this past winter, so the microwave was used about a year. It matched my new Samsung $1300.00 oven perfectly. One day last week, it just stopped working. We tried troubleshooting it and then called the company after that. Unfortunately, it was about 14 months since we purchased it and was no longer under warranty. After pleading the employee from Samsung for some help, they said to call a service center. I was told by two of them that they would charge me $100.00 nonrefundable for just coming (which I understand) and then parts and labor. He said if it is the motherboard or any other thing like that, it could cost $200.00 or more to repair with only a 90 day warranty. It breaks my heart but I had to throw it out. It was beautiful but did not work. I will never buy a Samsung product. We went to Consumers and found out it was rated most poorly. I now am in the process of purchasing either a Whirpool or Frigidaire since they got good ratings. We are heartsick about wasting all the money we spent over a year ago for this item. By the way, there was nothing wrong with my Kenmore over the counter microwave oven that was a Kenmore and 20 years old. It was white and we redid our kitchen in all stainless steel appliances. Fortunately, we gave it to someone who is still enjoying it. Please do yourself a favor and dont get sucked in with the Samsung company. They are unreliable appliances and really dont care about you once you buy their product.

Told us to unplug the refrigerator and see if it would hopefully reset itself, but not likely. We had this refrigerator for a few months. The ice maker broke so Samsung had someone come out in a few days. He told me because they are made with plastic. So this may be a recurring problem? We dont use that much ice. The service man said it would take 7 days for part and I would have to turn off refrigerator and leave door open for 24 hours. Well 3 weeks later no call. He was late the first appointment. I had to call Samsung so they could find out if he was coming. I asked him how to take the glass out to clean. He said he wouldnt because it would break. So I called Samsung again and said I cant ever clean my refrigerator. After a long wait and them trying to figure it out and talking to supervisor they said they would send me an email with pictures and instructions how to remove without breaking. They said the insurance would cover drawer but not glass. So waited for email and of course never got it. So after 3 holidays with no ice maker I will call Samsung again. Still cant clean all of it. I purchased this microwave from Home Depot in Squamish BC, and have not stopped regretting it after numerous and non-stop issues. The power level button has never worked, the magnetron broke, the machine ran continuously without shutting off, it displayed multiple error codes. The sensor pad, key pad and magnetron (everything but the fan and light) were all replaced within the 1st year, costing much more than replacing it and the same issues are still happening now just outside of warranty. I was told I could purchase a extended warranty any time within the 1st year and was not able to after many attempts. After much complaining and pressure, Home Depot did advocate for me to get a new replacement unit but was not successful. This horrible experience could have been far less stressful if not for the inflexible and unreasonable policy of Samsung. The many agents I spoke with were polite and understanding but completely unable to provide reasonable customer service due to the strict, wasteful and outrageous Samsung repair rules policies and guidelines. I am awaiting to hear back from them after another phone call but based on the last year of my experience with this appliance, am not holding my breath. I hope this review saves someone else from this very frustrating experience. There are hundreds of videos on youtube and complaints highlighting the same issues we have had with our machine. These appliances seem to be consistent lemons.

We bought a Samsung side by side refrigerator on July 2013. We were so proud to get a top-notch refrigerator, with cold water and ice maker. Six months later the food in the refrigerator started freezing. We remedied it with turning the temp indicator all the way down. It still froze some of the food. We threw away countless heads of frozen lettuce and frozen tomatoes. We still were not very upset, thinking it was only temporary. A year and 2 weeks later, there started to be a grinding noise from behind the freezer. The warranty had expired so we called a repairman. He was here looking at the fridge for about 1 half hour, and I asked him what the problem was. He said, The main problem is you bought a Samsung. I didnt understand. Now he said the whole back end of the freezer compartment is completely iced over and the evaporator fan is burned out. He said it would take 2 or 3 weeks to get a part. It remedied a part of the problem, but now it keeps freezing over and we have to manually defrost it every 3 weeks. We have to wait for all the ice to melt and put towels on the floor around it to keep from damaging the floor. We have decided to live with this problem until we can save up enough money to buy a new refrigerator. We dont think it will be a Samsung. We bought a 55 inch Samsung Ultra High Definition Television 2 and half years ago. We couldnt be any happier with the clear picture and excellent sound. Our suggestion to Samsung would be to get out of the appliance business and stick to making goods that you do best. Our trust is broken with the snazzy-looking refrigerator with all the bells and whistles.

Samsung has a two year class action lawsuit against it and has known about its faulty icemakers for YEARS, but it continues to sell refrigerators that cannot be repaired. If you are lucky, your icemaker will work for the year it is under warranty. However, expect within six months after that first year, your icemaker will freeze and require constant thawing by a blowdryer. You can pay $250-$500 for a service fee for the technician to inform you that there is NO repair and NO replacement. Your only option is to continue to thaw the icemaker area with a blowdryer EVERY DAY! RUN, do not walk, RUN as fast as you can from Samsung refrigerators!

Purchased a Samsung refrigerator, Model # RF217ACBP in July 2012. Within 6 months, the ice maker broke and there would be huge amounts of water sitting in the produce bins. Had the ice maker replaced by the Sears tech and just emptied water from bins. Then, 1 month after warranty expired, the fridge started making a loud noise and would not ever stop. The 6 cooling vents in the refrigerator ice up and the temp is about 50 degrees causing all the food to spoil. I have unplugged it and defrosted it numerous times but within a week or two, it ices up again and all food is lost. I contacted Sears, where we purchased it and asked why they carry and sell a product that is obviously defective. They gave me a number to call for Samsung. Called them and they said that it was covered by them for 5 years but I would have to pay for the first service call but everything after that was covered. In reading ALL of the complaints online, I learned that to fix the problem was approx $500 and that only lasts for a short time until the problem returns. This Samsung product should be recalled since there are thousands of complaints regarding the same issue. We dont have a lot of money and a refrigerator that is less than 2 years old should not have a problem that is obviously a design flaw that does not have a permanent fix or repair. I have called local repairmen and none of them want to work on it because they know it cant be fixed and do not want to pit their reputation on the line. How can something like this with the magnitude of complaints not be addressed?

We bought this refrigerator brand new in May 2012. In Jan 2015 we had to replace the evaporator as water was draining into our shelves and crystallizing. In March 2017 we again had to change the evaporator fan and the freezer ice maker. Again the evaporator fan broke and the freezer ice maker just quit making ice. Even with senior discount for appliance repairs our repair bill for this less than 5 year old fridge is already over $1000-. Never again will I buy a Samsung product.

We bought this refrigerator in April 2012. Since then we have had repairs 4 times. Had we not had a extra warranty the first two years, we would have been in trouble. Now the extra two years is up and we are still having trouble. Samsung sent a repairman that stated the fridge was fine but its still broke - the problem still exist. They told us we are not under warranty. Do not buy this product, bad, bad.....

We bought this dishwasher in Nov. 2011 for our new kitchen. The dishwasher had at least two or three minor problems over the course of one year. They range from not starting to electronic display problems. Finally, last week in early Dec., it died right after the warranty had expired. We had a tech come and he confirmed that the motor had burnt out which would cost over $500 to repair!

Problem: Water dispenser began leaking immediately upon installation. Purged system of air but leak continued. Then within a week or so of use, the water dispenser began making a vibrating noise. The noise was in the area where the water line leads into the back of the refrigerator. Solution: After repair service made three attempts, one by replacing the water valve. This eliminated the vibrating noise for a day. The vibrating noise was continuous. The third service call was removing the water filter. There was no vibration or leaking when the filter was not in the refrigerator. The service repairman suggested leaving the filter out for a day then install a new filter. We installed a new filter the next day. It worked. We have been leak free and noise free for several days. So, if you have either of these problems or both, I suggest you remove the filter and install a new one before calling service. By the way, our service company informed us we would be getting a new filter from Samsung since the 6-month period had not been up on the filter.

Refrigerator freezer stopped working first and the inside stopped soon afte
Refrigerator freezer stopped working first and the inside stopped soon after. After calling Sears out to repair they diagnosed it as the sealed refrigerator system stopped working. This was covered by Samsungs factory warranty, (covered for 5 years). After contacting Samsung they had 3 techs come out over the course of 3 weeks trying to repair it. They could not and said we would receive a new unit in 48 hours. After no contact in 48 hrs. I called and they had to do the paperwork. After calling several times for updates. They decided to refund our money because they did not have the same unit. It has been over a month since the unit stopped working. We are now waiting for our refund. They say it takes between 7 to 14 days but the Samsung Reps. say thats not true. They wait the full 14 days to refund the money. So if your fridge stops working please check your Warranty that comes with the fridge even if you dont have a store warranty. The warranty information is in your refrigerator manual. The number for Samsung is on the back of the manual or your decal inside of your fridge.

Tried to email customer support and the site wont let me select the model. Then I called and waited 10 minutes to talk to someone. When the agent came on line... I told him I purchased this RANGE in August 2014 but did not take delivery until Nov. He said it is no longer in warranty. I explained the problem of streaks in between the glass on the door first he told me that is normal... I disagreed then he told me to put water in the door. THIS AGENT OBVIOUSLY DID NOT HAVE A COMMAND ON THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE!! Lousy customer support... awful warranty (I would think it would be a year from the time I took delivery).

I bought a Samsung mirror-finished two-door fridge at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2007, in Geant Store Khuraise. My kids phoned me that it is not getting cold. I said to them, they must switch it off as it might burn them. It never made some ice. It was installed by Nirvana Ageng Samsung Polopkoane. I told them the same agent came and open my fridge, and he said it is the compressor. I must wait so that they can check if it is still under warranty. They never came back.We kept on calling him, but no answer. I went to Bokstreet Samsung branch. They said it is not under warranty. If it never makes some ice, they will fix it, but I will pay all costs+transportation. Now it is about 3 years. I reported it to South Africa, and Riyadh , Saudi Arabia. I need my money back or a new fridge. I will give you up to the end of this month. I will go to LG. I paid a lot of money for that fridge. I have already sent my complaint to consumer lawyers.

Bought from Lowes on August 2, 2013 (4 months ago). Problems with ice maker from the date of delivery. The entire ice maker assembly has been replaced twice. The freezer door deal once. Within days after replacement/repairs same problem occurs. Either no ice produced or very little over a long period of time. Calling Samsung for repairs is an ordeal. Numerous calls. After taking all the information, they say they will call or email within 3-5 days. Sometimes they do. Sometimes they do not. For example, I called on Tuesday, December 10, 20123. Was given Transaction # and was told my case will be considered for replacement or reimbursement. Again, was told I would either get a call or email within 3-5 days. I waited seven (7) days. Called Samsung. Was told that there was no record of the Transaction # given to me. New one given. Again, I was told that I would get a call or email within 3-5 days. Same thing time and time again. On those occasions when they do call me, I am told that a repair technician will be contacting me to set up an appointment in my home. That takes an additional week or two. By far, this is the worst consumer experience I have ever had in my entire life. Real bad. Getting tired of the lost record excuses, claim that they need more time to review when they have the whole history right before them. I never will buy another Samsung product.

Model RF220NCTABC/AA - cracking noise from doors. The problem with the doors is not exactly in the hinges themselves. There are two plastic pieces: one black in the top next to the hinge, another white in the bottom next to the hinges. These parts have the function of toggle-close the doors and unfortunately are not of the right quality. They are each attached to the door with one Phillips screw. If any of them breaks, you get the crack sound. I just removed the one on the bottom right and the problem went away. Your technicians answering the phone should be trained on that and even if the refrigerator was bought more than one year ago, send customers these parts for free. Probably the postage will be more expensive than the parts.

I purchased the new Samsung Waterwall dishwasher (Model dw80h9930US) from HH Gregg this past summer. I almost bought a Bosch but the new features of the Samsung seemed to be a better deal. Besides I already owned a Samsung washer, dryer and refrigerator. After about a month, I noticed the door started popping open during the wash cycle. I would push it back in and it would continue to pop open. I contacted HH Gregg and they informed me I had to contact Samsung. I did and they sent out a repairman who re-positioned the dishwasher and said that was the cause. After he left, I began using it again and the same thing started to happen, the door popped open during a wash cycle. I called them back again and they sent out the same technicians who fiddled with the baskets and thought that the top basket was pushing open the door during the cycle. They wanted to order a new basket for me. In the meantime, I was running the dishwasher and continually pushing in the door when it popped out until one evening, the unit beeped and the code LE appeared. This code was for Leakage and the manual instructed me to turn off my breaker to the dishwasher and call Samsung. Now I was not only without a dishwasher but my disposal was connected to that breaker. I called Samsung and demanded a new unit but they insisted on sending out the technicians again. At this point I had it with Samsung and decided to call HH Gregg. I explained to them my dilemma and they have graciously offered to replace my Samsung with a Bosch. I am overwhelmed with gratitude and will never forget the service I got from HH Gregg. They also were aware of the problems with the Samsung and were willing to help their customers get a dishwasher that works. I will never buy another Samsung product again.

I purchase a Samsung 4 door refrigerator model RF32FMQDBSR/AA around October/November 2013. Since then the icemaker has never worked properly even after I called a technician to come fix it and constantly defrosting the icemaker because ice built up inside and it would not work at all. NOW the refrigerator will not cool down... stays around 53 degrees and that is too warm to keep milk and other luncheon meat fresh up to expire date. The worst thing is I have not had it even 4 years yet. Looking at some of the other reviews, I now see that it was a mistake to buy SAMSUNG appliances... I have a Samsung top load washing machine also and see there was a recall on some models. Anyways if it is too costly to have this Fridge fix I will cut my losses and just buy another refrigerator. RFG298AARS - This sexy-looking refrigerator has major inherent design flaws
RFG298AARS - This sexy-looking refrigerator has major inherent design flaws, and we have had nothing but problems with it. The first unit purchased from Lowes in mid 2008 (with the extended warranty) lasted less than a year. The ice maker stopped working and when the repairman pulled the unit out, the entire new Brazilian teak hardwood flooring underneath was warped and wet from an internal slow leak that was probably missed as it came off the assembly line. Lowes brought a brand new 2009 unit, hauled the faulty one away and provided a credit to fix the flooring. Fast forward to Sept. 2014 (one month out of warranty)... Fridge/freezer stop cooling altogether with no error codes. I caught it just in time to keep everything inside from spoiling completely. To fix the sealed compressor system will be $1000. The external ice/water dispenser is also showing major signs of corrosion (leaking from the inside out), even though this is supposed to be 100% stainless steel... Nothing we have tried will clean it.At this point we have transitioned back to our faux stainless steel 10+ year old side by side in the garage. The Energy Star, digital inverter compressor technology is nothing but headache and money wasted for the end consumer. This unit was produced to be super insulated with one of the largest capacities available. It is now a $2800 decoration, and like most people, I expect an appliance with that price tag to last much longer than 5 years. The issues I have listed echo numerous complaints all over internet forums. We have spent over $10,000 on Samsung products in the past 10 years, but with this incident we no longer have any confidence in their products. In other words, give me old skool. I could have purchased 5 of my mothers fridges for the amount I spent on this piece of junk... and hers is 20 years old.

Had the Samsung refrigerator a little over a month and the ice maker stopped working. Called customer service who ran me through 15 minutes of tests then said a technician would call within 48 hours to come out and repair the fridge. Two days later after not getting a call, I called Samsung again and was informed that the last person I talked to must have forgot to assign a technician. I was then instructed to run through the same 15 minutes of tests and told (once again) a technician would call within 48 hours. The next day a Samsung representative called and while I assumed he was the technician calling to set up an appointment, he told me that no, he was in the product dept and was just calling to see if my ice maker was still broken. The only purpose for his call was to inform me that it would be ANOTHER 48 hours for a technician to call me.When I asked if the technician would call over the weekend, he responded that some work weekends, some dont. I asked to speak to his manager and he told me his manager was unavailable. Three days later and seven days after my initial call a local technician finally called me. He instructed me to push buttons on my freezer that I did not have and besides the fact that he sounded 12, he was completely confused as to which model I had and told me an engineer would call me back. When I asked how long that would take he said he didnt know, the engineer was in the field. As of the time of this review my freezer is still broken, there is no set time for the technician to come out and I have wasted my time on the phone with this horrible, incompetent company. I purchased this Samsung refrigerator (RF217ACPN French door model; bottom freezer drawer) in January of 2014 at Lowes but did not get the extended warranty. First, there was water in the crisper and not thinking much of it, I would just clean the water up. Then this past Easter weekend, the unit started making an awful noise. Being a holiday weekend, I could not get anyone out to look at the refrigerator. By Monday, the noise had stopped. Then on Mothers day then it stopped cooling but the freezer still works. So I called around locally for a repair person and was informed repeatedly that they would not work on the unit - reasons were no training available or couldnt get parts. I then called Lowes who in turn tried locating a tech for me several times with no luck. So my next step was to contact Samsung and over a two week period, went through the same thing of setting up repair dates and being called back and cancelled by the service companies. Finally started with a return authorization this pass Monday with Samsung - a prorated buy back. Only to be called yesterday and told that the buy back was stopped because there was indeed a repair tech in my area that would work on the fridge and Samsung, set it up for next Monday the 9th. Well today, there was a voice mail from the service company saying that they would not work on my unit. So I called Samsung 1-800 number again and informed them of the latest development and ask that the return authorization be restarted. Now, they are saying that they will not do a buy back because the refrigerator is not unrepairable. Well, if no one will repair a broken appliance then in my thinking, it is unrepairable.

I bought a Samsung French door fridge in 2013 and soon after we have been having the exact same icemaker problems and now after making loud noises, it has stopped working. Im glad I read what others have gone through. I will cancel the repair appointment which would have cost me $160.00 just for them to tell me that the compressor had gone. Thanks everybody, thats it for me and Samsung appliances.

My 3-year old refrigerator (Samsung rsg257aars) stops making ice every 3-4 weeks. I have to empty the ice bin because ice is frozen together, then I have to run the blow dryer on the ice maker to thaw it so it will begin making ice again. There is obviously a bigger problem with this machine but I dont know what it is. I have tried for 2 years to get Samsung to fix this for the thousands of folks who purchased this lemon to no avail. Samsung is not going to stand behind this product, so I will no longer be a Samsung consumer!

They couldnt find it on the computer and the other day the handle came flying off the microwave - same company. Thinking of contacting a lawyer to get my money back. It should lasted longer - for all appliance - it cost 7000 dollars. Im on a fixed income. Ill never buy Samsung product again.

We purchased a Samsung Refrigerator a year ago. Within that year our ice maker has broken twice. First they sent a repair guy. He fixed it and 6 months later it broke the same way again. We called and Samsung said sorry it’s out of Warranty. It’s a year old and the ice maker is still frozen up and sometimes melts and drips water. It costs a lot out of pocket to get it fixed. On top of that the middle drawer electric cords that operate temp was pinched so that didn’t work. Also I don’t think the fridge runs at the correct temp! We filed a complaint with BBB in the state they are made. We haven’t heard anything back. I will never buy one again! Don’t even want to Win one I would Rather have a Whirlpool or GE!

We purchased Samsung appliances at HHGregg in Dec 2013 and installed them in Jan 2014. The stove was delivered damaged and had to be reordered. It came a little while later and I installed it. They all worked good until about 2 weeks ago and the oven quit working. My wife called Samsung only to be told the warranty had expired Nov 2013, and the stove was not registered to our phone number or address. That was not possible because we received it in Jan 2014. She took our information and a person from Samsung called back in a few days and said they were going to replace the stove. They just needed a copy of the receipt. The person would not give a full name or phone number. Just the first name. My wife emailed the receipt and we waited for 5-6 days and no one contacted us. My wife called Samsung again and this time she was talking to a woman who was very rude and said they did not get a receipt. She asked to send the info again to a different place and she waited on the line and said she got it and a repair man would be out Friday. When asked about replacing the range, she said something like why should we. When asked for a written copy of what our warranty is and when it is good to, she refused and refused to give an address to write a letter to, and refused to let my wife talk to a manager. We dont trust them now and think it could be possible we didnt get a new stove. What can we do to make this right?

We purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator from Lowes with an extended warranty for five years. After two months, we had to call repair service because there was no ice. Once the item is sold, Lowes refers all responsibility to their (I quote) We have contacted Service Advantage with this issue. A&E Factory Service is the service provider and will be contacting you for a resolution within 5-7 days. Today is the 7th day and no response. We have had 7-8 service calls on this refrigerator 7 for the same problem. When we called for service the second time, Lowes informed us that the Service technician would determine whether or not the service call is covered under the warranty, this made us hesitant to keep calling on the same problem. We still have no ice and only promises from Lowes that Service Advantage would contact us. (Isnt that similar to asking the fox to check the hen house to see if any chickens are missing?) We contacted Service Advantage 8 times, repairs made 8 times, nothing worked. We were told by Lowes store manager that after 7 calls on the same problem the item would be declared a lemon. Samsung Refrigerators are beautiful to look at, but are totally unreliable and everyone that you talk to that owns one says they have problems with the ice maker.

We purchased a 3 door refrigerator from Sears in January 2013. We purchased the 5 year extended warranty. The Sears repairman has been here 4 or 5 times. He replaced the icemaker once. Came back to fix the icemaker, which kept freezing up and leaking onto the dispenser tray. This leak caused our STAINLESS STEEL door to rust. It is still leaking and rusting more. We have talked to Samsung customer reps who told us it was cosmetic and not covered under our warranty. The repairman even told them it was not our fault. But, this did not help our plight. Will not buy anything Samsung ever again. We asked to have them replace our rusty door. Of course this did not happen.

I have a warranty, but from what Ive heard, it isnt much good. What do I have to do ship it back to Japan. Not a good investment. I love the refrigerator, but dont like the ice maker. We finally decided to dump the ice into a bag and put it in the freezer compartment. Never know when its going to happen. It just does!!! Disappointed in Samsung.

We purchased this refrigerator less than two years ago. It worked OK for maybe a year and then the dispensing ice maker started making horrible noises, dispensing wet ice, cubes freezing together in the ice bin. I ended up simply turning it off and just using the ice maker located in the freezer compartment.Around the end of the first year, we began hearing an annoying clicking sound, which was caused by the cooling fan inside the back panel being COMPLETELY encased in ice.I research this model refrigerator on the internet and found a myriad of Folks having the same issues. For the next 3 years, I periodically had to either use a hairdryer for a quick fix or remove the entire back panel to de-ice the entire bank of cooling coils per instructions on YouTube from dozens of unfortunate Consumers who purchased this piece of junk.ALSO, there are MANY Class Action Lawsuits listed on the internet related to Samsung poor engineering of the automatic defrost function(s) of this particular model. In 50+ years of marriage, we have purchased 8 - 10 refrigerators for our homes and have NEVER had an experience such as this. Today, we took delivery of a new refrigerator. Suffice it to say, it was NOT a Samsung. Samsung should be ashamed to have placed such a poorly engineered product on the market. I would STRONGLY recommend that anyone reading this NEVER purchase a Samsung refrigerator....They did not stand behind this product.

We bought a Samsung stove - Model #NX58H5600SS and a microwave model #ME18H704SFS in May 2015. The stove overnight started beeping and now showing an error code SE. The Microwave has been making a weird buzzing sound for over a year (seems like something is broken inside). After the stove issue we decided to call Samsung and they basically told us our warranty for the stove is for one year and microwave if it’s magnetic issue then the warranty is for 10 years but you have to pay for labor in order to fix the issue. However, we have no idea what the issue is. I can’t believe that after having these items for less than 3 years we already have issues. I’m very disappointed that we purchased these products and would tell anyone not to buy it since they are crap products! Before remodeling our kitchen we had a stove that lasted years not just for three years. Ridiculous!!!! So now I have to get a service person to come and fix it. Stop selling crap products.

Bought a microwave as part of a package at Home Depot. I never write reviews but frustration with the product and service has compelled me to warn others. Bought new in August of 18. The unit worked for a short period then started to shut off while heating of foods. Called customer service and they told us to unplug and wait 5 min. That happened often until we eventually called for a service call. We had to remove it from above stove as Samsung does not do this. Said it was a liability issue. Technician came out and attempted to fix. Did not have correct parts. Came out again and still did not have the correct parts. Waiting for 3rd appointment. Will see if this fixes problem. Major inconvenience to have to wait for service tech on 3 separate occasions. Quite unfair to consumers. I recommended they send out a new one after the 2nd visit. Would have been cheaper for Samsung. Home Depot recommended Samsung as a quality brand. I will never buy another Samsung appliance. Totally bad experience all around. Had I read the reviews before buying I would have bought another brand.

Suddenly after 4.5 years the controls on our Samsung model RB194ACRS fridge
Suddenly after 4.5 years the controls on our Samsung model RB194ACRS fridge have gone wonky. The freezer goes away down below the set temperature, the temperature indicator on the door gives the wrong temperature reading, the child lock is on, though not selected. As a consequence the crispers freeze and the defrost water running down the back wall freezes in or under the crispers. The drain issue can be solved by defrosting or adding a part, but with $300 invested in a new fridge sensor, a new freezer sensor and a new motherboard, we are at the end. The authorized Samsung service people do not believe that a second replacement motherboard will change anything and so it is new fridge time. It wont be a Samsung.

In late 2012, I upgraded my white GE kitchen appliances with stainless stee
In late 2012, I upgraded my white GE kitchen appliances with stainless steel appliances. So I purchased a Samsung stainless steel gas stove and microwave and a Whirlpool fridge from Lowes. The stove and fridge continues to operate smoothly. The microwave worked well the first year then begin to malfunction. The power would cut off in the middle of heating a meal. I would unplug the power cord then plug it back in the outlet after 10 secs to turn the power back on. I thought that it could be an issue with the power outlet or breaker. My electrician confirmed both sources were working properly. So this malfunction occurred often until recently the microwave goes out after 5 secs of running. Then I repeat the plugging and unplugging every 5 to 10 secs until the food warms up. This is frustrating because I always have to drag the tall bar stool and use it as a stepping stool to reach the power outlet inside the rear of the cabinet. Sometimes I get so fed up that I just use the oven or stove to heat up my food. I called Samsung service center today and the rep was very polite, took my model number and zip code and provided me the telephone number of the nearest service technician. I called the number and it was not in service. I called Samsung back and this time I reached a rep who was really nice but we struggled to understand each other because of our accents. I explained to him about my earlier call and that the telephone number wasnt in service. He checked and confirmed that was the only service tech listed in my area. I asked whats the alternative. I was advised that since my microwave was out of warranty that I would need to find my own repairer. I asked what is the lifespan of this model because Ive had it 3 yrs and its been malfunction most of the time. My last microwave came with the home in 2001 and still worked fine over 10 yrs later. This is unacceptable.

My experience with our Samsung dishwasher is similar to the other experiences listed here. Dishwasher began having error codes after 14-15 months of normal use. After dealing with it working and not working for a few months we set up a service call through Samsung. A call to Samsung customer service led to nothing and they do not stand behind this product at all. Do yourself a favor and do not buy this product. You will be disappointed and left with a non-working DW in 13-15 months. No wonder the warranty is only 1 year. Samsung has a great scam going on here, but it will eventually lead to loss of customers in all areas of their business.

To Tim Baxter or anyone else that cares about Samsungs reputation and how their terrible customer service and falsely advertised products, dont settle well with the consumer. I am at my wits end with your company and its appalling customer service! For 4 months now Ive tried to get your company to take ownership for a refrigerator it sold us, that claimed to offer a Flex Zone with 4 temp settings, all the way down to -1 Celsius. Tim, we both went to High-school at took basic science classes, but the techs and people in your Office of the President all seem to have either not taken the class or failed it. My wife and I have had food spoiling in that drawer for months, because it will NOT freeze as it should given that 0 degrees Celsius is freezing, therefore anything colder that zero is at least capable of freezing. Well nothing freezes in that drawer. Ive had 3 service people come out, who all are being told the same thing from Samsung that I am being told, which is that the refrigerator works as it should. Tim, please explain to me how its working as it should when food does not freeze in a drawer that offers a -1 degree Celsius setting. Your office of the president, at 888-480-5675 and Loshanda at extension **, has ignored 7 messages I have left for her with the receptionist, and two voicemails. She literally has decided to blow me off. The last time she called me, before Thanksgiving, she told me that Mr. ** its not supposed to freeze, since -1 degrees Celsius is also 29 degrees Fahrenheit, therefore its 29 degrees above freezing... I was without a reply for a few minutes. How do you politely tell a person that they dont know that Celsius and Fahrenheit both measure temperatures, and that -1 Celsius and 29 Fahrenheit are the same below freezing temperature. After Loshandas obvious failure to care to call me back anymore, because she believes its working fine, I called and asked for a supervisor in your Office of the President. Ive been told twice there is no such thing, that I just have to leave a message for Loshanda to call me back. I’ve done that once a week for 7 weeks. I’m exhausted and utterly disgusted with the horrible service from your company. I dont know which is worse, that your techs believe -1 degrees Celsius is not supposed to freeze the food, or that your Office of the Preside could care less at this point, after my wife and I have lost hundreds of dollars in food that has gone bad, Ive wasted hours with techs coming out telling me the same thing, and more hours on the phone talking to your general Samsung support line that offers no help but to suggest I have yet another tech come out, who will waste all our time again. Tim, my wife and I own thousands of dollars in merchandise from you all, from phones, to BluRay players, to TVs etc. Is this how I should be treated? I want Loshanda at least reprimanded or at best fired, and I want and deeply hope for your help in resolving this matter. Your refrigerator does not do as it was sold to do, its that simple. And I need this fixed. Please Tim. Ive left voicemails for others in your Office of the President, they too have ignored me.

We have a very bad experience with the service of Samsung Refrigerator. It took nearly a week for them to visit our place to check on the complaint made. We had to follow with the service centre every day and request for a call back from the supervisor. The reason for the delay was lockdown. We were already on phase 4 of lockdown and most of the technicians had started moving around. They checked on our refrigerator and was told the problem could be either with the compressor or the inverter board and that they have to place an order for it and it will take 3 days...They finally came after 4 days and they said both and the board had to be replaced. It worked and the technician hardly stepped out and the same problem came up. We tried contacting the technician ..who said he cant come back immediately and he came the following day and said there was a problem with the compressor again... Mind you.. it was a new compressor ...and again they have to place another order and it will take another 3 days. The problem is they will not answer your calls nor will they update you on whats happening. The call center is pathetic. I have been calling them for the last 2 days requesting that we need to speak the supervisor. They say they will arrange for a callback but no one calls. Till now I have not received any call from them. Product may be good but if the service is bad.... We will never want to recommend this brand to anyone... Very poor response and poor service. Higher authorities need to check on this and address this issue immediately especially when there is so much competition. We have been without a refrigerator in this peak summer for nearly 2 weeks now. Dont know how long more we have to wait..??

It took two weeks to get repaired. The repairman fixed it, but it is much louder now than it was before. The repair was completed last week. Unfortunately for me, I didnt read reviews prior to making my purchase. We bought a 4-piece appliance group at a Black Friday event at a local retailer. I hadnt had an ice maker working in my previous fridge for 5-6 years on a 21 year old product. So, needless to say, I was tickled to finally have new appliances with a working ice maker! We had the appliances delivered and hooked up around the first of the year. Within a month and a half the ice maker quit working. We put in a service call and waited. Within about week and a half the technician arrived and swapped out the entire ice maker components. Working again! Apparently, the water line didnt line up right within the unit and the overspray of water iced up the unit eventually.About a month later, same thing happened. Put in a service call, complained about our unit being a lemon and needing to be replace. Sorry sir, we have to have at least 2 service calls before we consider replacing a unit. After waiting for almost a month, technician arrives, replaces all the ice unit components again. Working again! And, the technician said Ill be coming back as he was leaving. Hummm.About 3 months later, the unit completely stopped making ice. Once again, Ive called the customer service, complaining about my unit being a lemon needing to be replaced. Here I am two weeks after that call. No ice, no calls within 24-48 hours which is how everything happens at Samsung apparently. My case was given to a validation group, and Id be getting a call from an Executive in 24-48 hours.8 days later, I get a call this morning from an Executive. She wasnt there to soothe my concerns but rather to inform me that my issue had been sent to a review board. And, they would be contacting me in 48-72 hours... Oh crap! Also during this conversation I was informed that my 1-year warranty was NOT a product warranty but rather a SERVICE warranty, and that they will likely be sending a technician out again for another service and there was NO guarantee they would be considering the replacement of my product. Despite raising my blood pressure and me speaking my disapproval, she ups her attitude, and goes rude on me and we get nowhere. Im waiting the determination of the review board.I call up my retailer, and basically get the its not our problem routine. I ask, so, what happens when my warranty runs out? Oh, sir, you can purchase an extended warranty... And there my friends is the scam. Samsungs product is crap. Samsungs customer service is horrendous, unless you like banging your head on the wall and getting nowhere... In 24-48 hours.I should not have to Google up how to unfreeze a Samsung ice maker on a brand new unit! Be careful to read your warranty, its not a replacement warranty, its a service warranty... Service their way to the 1-year expiration, and wash their hand of you. Unless of course, you spend more money and buy an extended warranty. Do yourself a huge favor. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE, product is crap and customer service is horrendous at best.

For the Price of $2200 you can be too proud owner of a piece of crap. Very simple. I bought this fridge in March 2016 by April 2017 here is what started to happen. The bottom ice drawer in the French style does not auto shut off so the ice falls back behind the draw. Then the cooling fan unit behind the back panel Freezes UP. I called them several times over the past year was since it is out of the Manufacturer’s warranty there is nothing we can do. But, I did some research on the fridge and find out there are hundreds of cases on YouTube and online that are experiencing the same problem. When you call Samsung direct and ask about it, they say they have never had a complaint or has anyone called about the fridge. Then I go online and get in the blog where people have actually called and complained. Here is what I know, For your warranty to be covered, you have to have them put in a work order over the phone with a ticket number that they can track. Then, they contact the Samsung Repairman. You can’t use Joe bag of doughnuts. It have to be on their sheet of authorized service partners. The closest one to me was 2 hours away. They gave me the name of the repair place and I called them. When I told the serviceman what I needed, he laughed, not at me but that I was having trouble with a Samsung Fridge. I asked him what he thought. He said he has to fix them all the time because of either Ice Maker or Freezing in the back panel. But Samsung says this doesn’t happen. Anyway, after two service techs and a few dollars and numerous calls to you know who, all I can say is Samsung sucks on their refrigerators and customer service. It’s like yeah, you bought fridge from us and it’s broke after a year and a half. Well, we got our money so don’t care. Someone, Legally need to look into this.
