I bought a Samsung Refrigerator model #RF263BEAESR 2.5 years ago. It was over $2,500.00. It has had very light use and out of the blue the freezer stopped working. Called Samsung and they sent technician to diagnose. Cost $125 for them to tell me the compressor has stopped working. After many emails back and forth and telephone calls to Samsung - most can hardly speak English, Samsung will pay for the part but NOT the labour. The labour costs are estimated at $900 to install the compressor. Really Samsung. Thats how you back your products? No one expects a fridge to only last 2.5 years. Never will I buy Samsung again. Its just a scam. These new appliances from Samsung just dont last and when a part goes unexpectedly they do not back up their product. They want you to buy a new one because in the end its probably cheaper. Well I may be buying a new fridge but it wont be a Samsung.

I have a one year old Samsung dishwasher and was just told it would cost me $600 to repair it. Of course the warranty just expired...I bought it from Home Depot last year and within 2 weeks was having a problem with it, wouldnt drain, didnt clean well, smart auto error, technician came out to repair and not surprising this wasnt the first time he saw this issue. I wanted to replace it, but of course Samsung wouldnt do that and had to settle for the repair. It is next to impossible to talk to anyone who knows anything at Samsung. ZERO customer service satisfaction! Technician told me to call Samsung and see if they will pay for parts and I would just pay for the labor...I would rather have all my fingernails ripped off than to make this phone call as we all know how this will end! I am so frustrated and angry with Samsung. How do they get away with this??? I would like to take my complaint further, any suggestions? Maybe the BBB? Has anyone attempted this.

The oven temperature climbs and lowers all during the baking process. Totally inconsistent. Horrible for baking cakes! I bought a portable oven thermometer to monitor it. I can set the oven for 350 and the actual temp in the oven will be 375 one minute and 325 a few minutes later. There is also a 25 degree temperature variance from front to back and side to side in the oven. Forget cooking more than one item at the same temperature. When you buy such a big oven you plan on being able to utilize the space by cooking more than one item, but beware, they will be cooking at different temperatures. The top low burner is not low at all. It boils everything. The long middle high burner is okay on one end and way too crazy hot on the other end with flames so tall they lap over my skillet. The Samsung name on the top front/center of the stove is stickers. Each letter gradually slides off from the heat of the stove.

We purchased our Samsung #FTQ353IWUX stove 8 years ago. There have always been little problems, all happening after our extended warranty expired. Ie: the glass top cracked; cleaning cycle never completely cleaned the oven; now I have a problem with the oven light flashing off and on and snap/crackling/popping when I turn the oven on. Purchased from Lowes. They gave me 2 repair companies to call. Neither will touch a Samsung. So, off to buy a new stove in the next day or 2 and it will NOT be a Samsung.

We purchased the 4 door Samsung French Door refrigerator with the Flex Zone drawer 2 years ago. Just before the 2 year mark the ice maker stopped working. We had someone come out to replace the ice maker, but found out it wasnt really the ice maker. There was a hole in the Freon line which caused the ice maker to stop working. Once the ice maker was defrosted all the Freon ran out smelling up our house & making the whole refrigerator useless. Every day for 6 weeks I called the customer service at Samsung. Not ONE person cared about us having no refrigerator. They didnt apologize or express sympathy. It was the most frustrating experience. Finally after 4 weeks they agreed verbally to give us a full refund. They wouldnt put the $ amount in writing & it took another 2 weeks for us to receive the check. We were told by a repairman to not buy Samsung appliances & we took that advice & purchased a Whirlpool. So far so good!

My Samsung refrigerator had the same icemaker issues the first year & then the refrigerator would only cool to 54 degrees right at the end of year 1. I called an approved service technician who got on the phone with Samsung after examining the unit. It was determined that the refrigerator could not be repaired & would have to be replaced. Apparently Samsung used butane as an alternative to freon in my unit & it is not being successful. Okay -- that was 6 weeks ago! I have been through many phone calls, submitted the required paperwork, & no one has cared that I have not had a fridge for 6 wks! I have been unable to get help from the store where I bought the fridge either. Samsung is mailed me a reimbursement check for the cost of the fridge, minus delivery & tax. I had to throw away $300 worth of food.So because of Samsungs defective refrigerator, I have had to pay for 3 service visits, $300 worth of lost food, & will have to pay tax & delivery fees plus more for a newer model of refrigerator. SERIOUSLY?! Its not my fault & it has cost me about $1,000.00! By the time I get the reimbursement check & buy a new fridge, I will have gone 8 weeks without a fridge! Im a single mom & currently unemployed, so this is especially painful right now. Unfortunately, I also have a Samsung TV, washer & dryer, all of which I have enjoyed, but now sure hope I dont have a problem with! I have NEVER had a company treat me so poorly.

Samsung refrigerator/freezer RFG298HDRS, 5 years old, was fine for the first 3 years. First noticed freezer drawer was becoming more difficult to pull open. While troubleshooting noticed Ice Buildup under drawer. Temporary resolution was achieved by reaching behind the pulled open drawer (drawer pulled wide open, but NOT removed) and using my fist to pound on the ice, broke it up and removed it by hand. This technique needs to be repeated every 2-3 months. I can tell when it needs to be de-iced by the sound of the drawer rubbing on the accumulated ice, which builds up between the bottom of the drawer and the bottom floor of the freezer compartment.Currently, my protocol is to: 1. Place a bath towel on the floor, tucked under the front of the refrigerator. 2. Open the drawer fully. 3. Place another towel over the freezer contents to keep them cold. 4. Wait about 5 minutes. 5. Reach in behind the drawer and pound on the ice with an open palm or a closed fist. The thicker ice at the back if the compartment will break up easiest. Swearing does not really speed up the De-Icing. 6. Hand brush the ice forward and out on the towel. 7. The ice toward the front might need a few more minutes to thaw and loosen.Total time to De-Ice is 10-15 minutes. My best guess is that the problem is a design flaw. Humid air enters the freezer every time the door is opened, collects as frost on the floor, and builds up as any refrigerator without a defrost system will have ice buildup. This guess only explains the Icing if the coolant tubing is under the floor and not under the back and sides. I am not happy with this issue, but this makes it just annoying.

I bought a Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model FR323TED February 2013. I have the same problems as all the other poor unfortunate buyers of this product. The defrost cycle does not work, the ice builds up in the back panel hits the fan and makes a terrible noise. Must be defrosted once a month. Samsung will not admit to the problem. There should be a class action suit. I wish I would have seen this website before I bought or started to repair this product. I need to face the fact that this refrigerator needs to go out to my back lot and used for target practice with my 454 Casull. Never will I ever buy another Samsung product.

I purchased a new stainless steel electric range model NE595R0ABSR/AA and used it once when the ceramic top appeared to have a bubble inside. I contacted the place of purchase and they replaced the range with the same model. I dont cook much and within a couple of weeks, I was once again trying to get rid of the marks on the range top. I used the cleaning product recommended, but it didnt do anything as far as making the top cleaner looking. I contacted the purchaser who couldnt do anything because it was more than 30 days after the purchase date. It was suggested that I contact Samsung. I did and was on the phone with them for over 60 minutes trying to get the range returned and replaced with a new model. Samsung transferred me 3 times. Bottom line is it is a cosmetic issue and they will service it but not replace the defective range. The range is listed as a single product and doesnt advertise it as the best cosmetic range, but the BEST stainless steel electric range. I ran into 2 other customers who had the same problem. Do you think there is a problem with the way the smooth top is manufactured? I would NEVER recommend a Samsung product to anyone. Apparently Samsung is not worried about customer satisfaction. THINK TWICE BEFORE PURCHASING THIS RANGE. DO YOUR HOMEWORK ON WARRANTIES BEFORE BUYING A SAMSUNG PRODUCT.

Weve owned this fridge since 3/29/10. Weve had nothing but problems with it ever since. Every time theres a power failure in our area, the digital panel needs to be reset, which has been a difficult process to accomplish. Last June, our freezer started making loud rattling type noise. I had to have the Defrost Sensor replaced as it was faulty and causing excess ice to build up on the fan in the interior of the freezer. Well, now the freezer is doing the very same thing. I called Samsung again last night expressing my frustration and dissatisfaction with this fridge thats only two years old! Since my unit is out of warranty, they originally told me there was nothing they could do about it. I told them thats what I was told last June when I called with the freezer issue and at that time, I was given a warranty extension and the repair was made free of charge. This time, after insistence on my end, I was offered again a free repair or a refund prorated of my purchase price. I chose the refund since Ive had enough with the issues with this fridge. I paid $899.99 for the fridge on sale from Sears, it was originally $1299.99. I was offered a prorated refund of $719.99, which reflects a 10% depreciation for each year of ownership. I said, I think Samsung should stand behind their product and give me a full refund of my purchase price since this fridge has been brought with issues for the last 2 years. I was told a prorated refund was my best option. I now am waiting for the refund check to come in the mail and then go shopping for another fridge. I will never ever buy any Samsung products again. Once I have my new fridge in place, I then have to cut the power cord off my fridge and mail that and the serial number sticker from the interior of the fridge back to Samsung. Their refrigerators should not be allowed to be sold any where.

We bought the RF263AEWP model on August 30, 2011 from Lowes. About a year later, the fan was making a noise. It was blocked by ice build up. We got rid of the food, and defrosted it, with the help of hairdryer, etc. It was fine for a while, then it happened again. We called an authorized Samsung Repair person. He said it would cost over $700 to fix it. We found reviews where other people had this problem and they spent $$ on repairs, only to have the problem come back. So, we didnt pay for the repair person. We defrosted again... Its now freezing up again. Food in the freezer is soft. We are shopping for another refrigerator. If there is a class action lawsuit, we want to be a part of it.

Bought a new refrigerator from Lowe’s, less than 2 years ago, took out extended warranty. We have been without a refrigerator now for 2 months. The repair company ordered parts without even coming out, when they did come out, they sent email that they would be there Wednesday from 11-3, but when we called lady said they weren’t coming that they just ordered parts by what we said it was doing, they had wrong parts, (husband now has missed two days of work) Samsung offer to refund part of our money. We could have a full refund if we ordered another one from them. Told them I don’t want anything from Samsung, so they offered a low refund which I agreed to.Now every week to week in half they call and text and want more information and serial numbers taken off. I can’t seem to get anyone at Samsung to help and be honest. Have been told twice they have all they need, then they call again. We are having to hold on to this piece of crap all this time, it is taking up space and I am most unhappy. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY SAMSUNG AGAIN. I have the Samsung Elite gas 6.3 cubic feet flex Duo Range. The functionality of this range is top-notch, Bakes like a dream.. My only complaint and its a huge one because of the price point of this Appliance is the shoddy finish. The enamel cooktop started peeling within 6 months and the black stainless isnt really stainless. Its a cheap black/paint coating that has been flaking off after about 3 months. It is a really beautiful stove, but very aware of the lack of durability if you are buying it for aesthetic reasons. It is pretty pricey to have repair service for finish repair.

Major problems with Samsung range model NE59J7750WS/AC Duo-Flex - If this r
Major problems with Samsung range model NE59J7750WS/AC Duo-Flex - If this range is working up to the specifications of the manufacturers design then that design is flawed. One flaw is that there are no vent openings in the bottom of the oven to allow for heat transfer. Vents that would mean the oven could come up to temperature in 10 minutes rather than the 30 to 45 minutes this lemon takes. Other brands that we have since been looking at have these vent slits. It may be more convenient for Ms Consumer to clean a range with a hidden bottom element but if by hiding it you restrict the heat flow, what good is it?Another flaw is that the sensor tells the temperature display 365 and beeps to say it is ready to bake when the oven is only at 225, 365 is still 30 to 45 minutes away. Why was this range designed to do this? To impress the EnerGuide inspector with how quickly it reaches temperature? Can you say Volkswagen?? A third flaw is that there is no consistency in the final temperature reached. Set it for 365 and it may only go up to 345, next time it might go to 385 (as it did when Sears repairman Ken was here. He said he could fix that problem, I said why bother, last time it only went to 345, if you drop it by 20 it could just go to 325.)A fourth flaw is the variation of oven temperature within one baking session. The last time we baked (was the LAST time as we wont try again) it took 38 minutes to get up to 365. We put in a sheet of cookies and 12 minutes later they were done to perfection (the two on the right). The second sheet of the same cookie batch went in just as the first was taken out, when checked 8 minutes later they were already burnt. Usually, when you open the oven door to take something out and then put something in the temperature drops, in this case it must have risen substantially to burn the cookies in 8 minutes. There is no rhyme nor reason for the temperature variations with this thing. You say There is no repair solution that can be attempted by our technicians as after multiple visits we have not detected any fault with the unit. That is not true. Your guy Ken can attest to the fact that it took 45 minutes to get up to temperature and that the final temperature was 20 degrees higher than the setting. He wasnt here when it only went to 345, he hasnt been here when the wild fluctuations have occurred. Have him spend a day here checking it out, hell tell you whats what. Better yet have him take it home and make HIS wife try to use it! We arent going to anymore! For more than 45 years we have put our faith in Sears and Sears products. Now, at the first instance of a problem Sears has failed us. Well see if a media investigative reporter will be interested in this matter as we have had no luck getting Samsung or Sears to see reason. CBC, CTV & Global for a start.

I bought a new dishwasher model DW80R2031 in Dec 2020. I HATE this dishwasher. The prongs on the racks are angled and so close together that I cannot fit my dishes in. On the top rack my glasses do not fit in the shall rows and need to sit over one or two of the prongs. Because of that they knock against each other during the wash cycle. I am surprised that none of them have broken yet. On the bottom rack the prongs are so close together that the platters and lids to my pans do not fit unless I bend the prongs. Because all of the prongs are angled juice pitchers and pans have to just balance on top and hope they dont move during the cycle. I have to wash lots of dishes by hand because I cant fit get them to fit in the dishwasher. If I could take it back I would. I will never buy another Samsung appliance again.

Buyer beware. Samsung will not reimburse you for out of pocket expenses for repair of their refrigerator. I purchased a French door Samsung fridge in June 2017. I tried to remove the ice bucket. It was frozen, I called customer service, the fridge was only 3 months old. Samsung sent their appliance tech over to install a new ice bucket. The tech said to unplug the fridge so the ice would melt and he could replace the defective ice bucket. I said, Then the meat & dairy products would spoil. I was told to put it all in the bottom freezer, with dry ice on top. I said, Who will pay for the dry ice. Samsung will reimburse me for the cost of the dry ice. Well that never happened. After numerous phone calls I decided to contact BBB in New Jersey to file a complaint. A rep from Samsung did call after BBB sent them my complaint. Well I got a different story from the Samsung rep. Samsung does not reimburse customers for their out of pocket expenses, even if their fridge is only 3 months old. This is a Billion Dollar Corp. I told the rep and Samsung wont refund me $51.00. 4 Door Refrigerator Model RF25HMEDBWW/AA - Soon after receiving our new refrigerator we advised Samsung and they dispatched a service Tech from a highly regarded service provider. Samsung had sent a replacement front and auger, which they installed. The quality of the ice was not improved, and still many cubes were broken. We were away for the winter, and ice maker was turned off. Recently we had three successive issues with dairy products going sour prematurely, and loss of some beautiful steaks. The front panel assured me that temperature was 37. On the evening of June 5, 2016 I used two different digital thermometers and confirmed that problem was the main cooling (Upper) was registering 55 degrees F. I used a Taylor remote oven thermometer plus a fast (but not instant) digital cooking thermometer with 0.1 degree gradient. The following AM, June 6, as I was leaving the house for the day, I asked my wife to call Samsung and report the problem. That evening my wife informed me that the Samsung person asked her to unplug and then re-plug the power cord. The delivery team for our retailer had damaged the legs on the bottom of the unit, making it very difficult to move and access the power outlet. They have been slow in responding, and I will use this document to re-light a fire under them, as I am certain they will not be pleased to read their name here. I called Samsung that evening and advised that a technician was needed. They informed me that it would take several days before I heard from their agents. On the third evening past my call, I again called Samsung and was advised that there was no record of my prior call.On the 16th, the tech arrived and advised that this was a common issue caused by freeze-up of the evaporator coil in the upper refrigerator, and some new parts would also fix the ice problem. I called Samsung in an attempt to get the parts expedited, and when I requested to speak with the Samsung Service Manager I was advised that the person I was speaking with could not arrange a communication with a Samsung higher up and that absolutely nobody at Samsung would have a knife sharp enough to cut through the accumulated Samsung constipation. It is very clear that their telephone answering people have all submitted to a lobotomy before beginning work there and all they are allowed to do is read what appears on their computer screen.Due to the scheduling procedure, I was not able, until approximately 10:15, to learn if and in what time frame to anticipate the techs arrival! The tech WITH THE PARTS arrived just before 1PM on the 23rd of June. He spent several hours replacing parts, and I thought and hoped the problems were over. Ice is no better and temperatures are still warm. So today when I called, I immediately advised the computer that I would only speak with a service executive. After a 33 minute wait I got somebody in their Executive Service department. After a 15 minute conversation with him, I realized that he did not have any idea how a refrigerator worked and he placed me on A SHORT HOLD, to immediately transfer me to somebody in Refrigeration. At 1 hour and three minutes I was connected with somebody in the Dominican Republic that likely could not tell the difference between a digital thermometer and a rectal, EVEN if the digital device was inserted in his rectum. Do not ask about his comprehension of a refrigerator. He got me a reference number for the new service call at 1 hour and 20 minutes and indicated that I would hear from somebody that understood refrigeration in a day or two. THE PRECEDING WAS COMPOSED ON MONDAY EVENING, JUNE 27.Beginning on the second Tuesday of next week, I am going to begin holding my breath until Samsung discovers the concept that I invented: I have called it responsibility and service. Today, June 28, I heard from service company and learned that they will have a tech here on July 14. We are going to look for a phone number for Enterprise Refrigerator Rental, to get a loaner until somebody at Samsung elects to have our not quite one year old refrigerator deliver on its promise, keeping dairy and meat from souring prematurely, and making good ice.My 15 year old Amana did it quite well, seldom ran short and never failed to properly cool! It did not offer crushing or dispensing thru the door, but if Samsung cannot get those features right for 3 or 4 times the cost, maybe their future is in composting. I would love to discover the name and address of a responsible executive at Samsung and arrange for a second year med school student, with an interest in Proctology, to park this POS in an appropriate orifice! Is there a class action suit in process? IF SO, PLEASE SUPPLY DATA SO I CAN JOIN.

Paid $1600.00 for Samsung dishwasher. In the past 3.5 years we have had nothing but problems. We have spent a lot of money on repairs. The pump was replaced, the water wall was replaced along with several other problems. The last tech Samsung sent out was not properly schooled on the product and had to call another tech to guide him through the repair on the phone.

First of all let me say every Samsung appliance that I have, stove; refrigerator; microwave is a piece of poopy. I cannot believe how bad these products are made. The microwave has failed twice, the refrigerator manufactured two years ago failed. Had to argue for weeks to get them to cover this repair, for about 2 months. Stove has a poor layout and pans do not fit on burners. Refrigerator has cheap parts that snap off, warp or do not close. DONT BUY SAMSUNG. THEIR PRODUCTS REALLY SUCK FOR THE AMERICAN MARKET. Made in Korea should not matter, but it does with this piece of poo company!!!

SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR MODEL# RF23J9011SR/AA - We purchased 3 years ago. Has similar freezer problems as stated in other reviews. The counter depth style of this unit is what we required. The icemaker freezes up. The technician came out and proceeded to use steam to fix the problem. It froze up again within a few days. We are very disappointed with the poor quality of this expensive unit in our kitchen. Fortunately we kept our KitchenAid side by side which continues to surpass the quality of the Samsung product. We get perfect ice cubes dispensed from our KitchenAid. We will be looking forward to our next KitchenAid refrigerator with a properly operating ice dispenser.

Thankfully I bought an extended warranty on my range because the 2nd time I used the self-cleaning mode ON THE DEFAULT SETTING, the control panel melted and the oven door would not open. It took weeks to get the replacement part with Sears Outlet calling and emailing scheduled appointment times that had not been cleared by me. But never mind the repair guy that is employed by Sears told me the part had not showed up on his doorstep yet. However, during 9 different calls over several hours during a 2 month time frame, Sears told me repair guy did not follow protocol so that caused delays. Of course when I told repair guy that he said they always try to pass blame. The 3 times repair guy came to my house he refused to give me any paperwork documenting his repair. He also told me never to use the self-clean mode. What? Why is it there? THEN the oven would not heat up to temperature, actually would only get to 100 degrees less, so the process started over again with repair guys BS and blaming Sears, all sorts of ridiculous information from both sides with promises NEVER being met. He finally installed a new thermometer and it still doesnt heat to temperature so I have to program it 25 degrees higher and wait 45 minutes longer than what the alert and temperature says on the control panel. In an argument with repair guy in my kitchen over my unreasonable expectation to have purchased a functioning product he accused me of only wanting to get a new oven. Imagine the gall of me actually expecting to have purchased a functioning product by a supposedly reliable name like Samsung. I am 71 years old and am old enough to know, from experience, what good customer service is. Repair guy is a grey hair and should know that too. But he is perfectly employed by a sub-standard company selling a very inferior product. And, although promised by his wife on one call, and his daughter on another, that I would get service orders and documentation emailed to me, it has never happened. What a waste of time and money, not to mention having to play stupid passive-aggressive games with a low in standards repair person. I am now afraid of fire after reading the rest of the reviews. Im surprised that Samsung hasnt been sued and ovens have not been recalled. I mean really surprised. My oven is barely 2 years old. In any other electrical stove/oven I have ever owned I have NEVER had a problem with self-clean.

Refrigerator works fine. Water filter cartridge needs to be changed every 6 months. Thats okay too. But SAMSUNG refuses to provide information on what to do to recycle the used filter cartridge. I dont want to reuse it; I just dont want to add more plastic to landfills. Some other refrigerator manufacturers tell you how to empty used cartridges and recycle the plastic. SAMSUNG wont. I tried online search: no usable results. I tried online chat: they connected me to a Printer Expert for crying out loud! I called: they told me the cartridge cannot be recycled and they cannot reveal what plastic it is made of. If you care about the environment, do not buy SAMSUNG until they change this policy.

It will not only cost me $375.09 to fix, but the parts are on back order and will take 5-6 business days to get here (translates into 8 days). I purchased the side by side fridge. After 10 days, when I opened the door to the fridge, I would hear the fan motor slowing down. It was loud. I placed a service call to Sears (where I purchased it) and the serviceman said that I needed to empty the fridge and leave the doors open for two days so it could thaw. Apparently, it was frozen in the back. I did that and he came back the next week to install new parts. That was on a Friday. The following Tuesday, the fan noise was back. I placed another service call. This time, I insisted on a replacement. Guess what, the replacement is making the same fan noise.

On Oct 12 of this year I bought a Samsung Self-Cleaning Slide in Convection Range Model Number NX58H9500WS. I normally keep it clean manually, but decided to try the self clean option a week ago. After it heated up, black noxious smoke was billowing out of the oven. It was setting off all my smoke alarm, and spreading black soot everywhere. I shut down the machine from the electric junction and opened all the windows. I believe if I hadnt thought quickly it would have set fire to my apartment. I called Samsung, and they came here and inspected the machine, and voided the warranty. How does one void a warranty on a machine that was obviously defective, and could have caused a house fire? I went to the place I purchased the machine, because I had a warranty with them. They came, and they verified the stove had gone on fire. The company I purchased this from is taking care of the issue that Samsung should have taken care of. This is reprehensible on the part of Samsung Customer Service. We are now allowed to return said item to the store and will be picking out another range. You can guess it will NOT be a Samsung.

Samsung French Door refrigerator (and Samsung dishwasher) - We bought both of these appliances when we built our new house in 2011. The dishwasher lasted 18 months and the integrated pump (they use one pump for both inlet and drain) failed. Spent about $300 on the new pump that failed again after 6 months. Last month the refrigerator just quit -- no refrigeration no freezer. After waiting 4 weeks for Samsungs contract repair service (A&E) and their rescheduling we bought a new GE refrigerator. The installer said that he typically sees the Samsung refrigerator totally fail after the 6th or 7th year. Great company, huh -- planned failure to try to sell more products.

Ive had 4 service calls to fix problem and each technician visit had a different story as to why it occurs. However it reoccurs in less than a year. This makes no sense at all since our house is on a full-house water softener and filtration system. Now Samsung will not admit or take ownership of the fact their this model is faulty. Never made a big deal about it but after calling Samsung they wanted to charge me for a tech to take a look. I did buy the extended warranty. I was told no one could call me by Kit the chat tech and customer support hung up on me.I own about 12 different Samsung appliances. Disgusting how they take our money and then turn their backs. Model # RF260BEAESR/AA -- do not buy this product...ever! Left French door assembly/gasket has broken and literally fell off twice. As it is a little over 2 years old, it is no longer under warranty, therefore Lowes has offered me nothing but rudeness and ridiculous hold times. The end result is that Samsung had to be called directly. After repeated phone calls and hours of my life that I can no longer get back, its going to cost me ANOTHER 300.00 to replace the same part. Samsungs customer support is deplorable. They have essentially offered me nothing. After the tech completes this repair my total repair/loss cost will be almost 1,000.00, and I will still have the same horrible appliance that will undoubtedly need the same repair months from now. Samsung has refused to even pay for the diagnostic tech appointment (another 90.00 to tell me what I already know) or parts, or labor. Apparently when you buy a Samsung appliance you are entirely responsible for obvious factory defects and they will assist with nothing...ever. In speaking with a few Samsung-certified technicians, they have informed me that not only do most customers have this disappointing experience but their own technicians cannot get the support they need to provide the necessary service!!! As the previous 150 purchasers of the OTC Samsung SMH9187SW Microwave, I purchased mine 12/2011, and it has stopped working 2/2013. Since it is out of warranty, I didnt even bother to contact Samsung because Ive had mine for 26 months and knew that if I wanted a Samsung certified repair person, it would cost more than the original price. I live in the San Francisco Bay area so I found a repairman with 135 5 STAR reviews. I told him my problem and he said he stopped working on microwaves because it was cheaper for customers to replace them. He also said he did not know of anyone that he could honestly recommend. So I found this site and followed the advice of the few people that were able to get theirs up and running. Unfortunately, none of the suggestions helped; I tried unplugging the unit, pushing clear and start simultaneously and finally unplugging and resetting the blue and white plugs on the control panel.I had thought of buying a different microwave except for the fact there is not one single microwave under $1,000 with a customer rating above 2 stars. Even the Best Buy rated microwaves in Consumer Reports, Epinions, Amazon, etc. didnt receive positive reviews from the actual consumers. So now I am going to order the control panel (not from Samsung directly) and install it myself. I dont see any other option since I dont want the expense of another microwave plus installation and then worry that another problem will occur no matter what brand I buy. My 1st OTC microwave lasted 20 years, the 2nd for 10 years and now 2 years! I most definitely would like to be involved in a class action suit. One interesting side note: Consumer Reports still list Samsung in the top 4. From now on, Im going to the actual user reviews listed at the bottom of the rating page!

I made a terrible mistake buying Samsung appliances after my house burn down. They look cool. But there is something wrong with them all the time, the refrigerator icemaker leak water all over my new tile and wood floor one night. Been dealing with Samsung customer service and EXECUTIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE, what a joke, since May. How can those people sleep at night. They stop making the part for my two year old ref. (DA62-03148A). I was one of Samsung biggest supporters. WHAT A TERRIBLE MISTAKE I MADE BUYING SAMSUNG APPLIANCES.

January 3, 2015 I purchased a scratch and dent Samsung french door refrigerator with ice maker in the freezer unit. It came with a 1yr. warranty from Samsung and I purchased a 5yr. warranty from Lowes. It was delivered and installed by Lowes on January 6, 2015. It started to produce ice and it produced half a gallon bag of ice and then quit. We went through the manual which gave us no direction. I turned off the ice maker so that it would not burn up. I called Samsung January 9, 2015. They walked me through the troubleshooting and told me that because the ice maker was turned off, I had to wait 48 hrs. for service. They called me back on January 12, 2015 and again a different associate walked me through the same trouble shooting process but added a twist, which was the rollers where touching the floor and therefore Lowes had to come back out and give the refrigerator a 2 inch tilt. That seems ridiculous however we jumped through the hoops. I went on live chat with Samsung January 15,2015 and again that associate was going through the same trouble shooting process. Really, does anyone do service anymore? I let him know that it is unacceptable to have a refrigerator only one week old. With full warranty and not be able to get it serviced. Very unhappy with Samsung and will never buy another appliance from them.

After just two years, like many others on this site, our Samsung SMH9187ST over the oven microwave that we bought for over $300.00 started beeping with an SE code. Now nothing works. I have little faith that Samsung will stand behind their products given what I have read here. If it is a choice between repairing the unit at my own cost and buying a new unit, I will buy a new unit, but it wont be another Samsung.

I have a Samsung dishwasher that smells horribly. It has from day one. I thought it must be my plumbing or drains so I have spent $700 on plumbers only for them to find nothing wrong except my dishwasher is junk and stinks! Customer service went around in circles telling me to clean it when I have already cleaned it in every way possible and with everything known to man! I took the whole thing apart and uninstalled it and nothing helps. Samsung wont do anything about it. It is under 1 year old.

We purchased a Samsung Kitchen Suite of appliances and we could not be more disappointed in the purchase. The dishwasher smells rancid even after they came back and fixed it, it is starting to rust despite being Stainless Steel, The range turns off every so often for no apparent reason and now the ice maker for our refrigerator has stopped working. Samsung support is terrible. The appliances are less than 1 year old. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance ever again. They are poor quality and have given us nothing but problems.

Ice maker doesnt work and thats after spending $600+ in repairs after owning less than 18 months. It makes LOUD noises - continuously! The water runs from the ice maker into the drawer and interior of the refrigerator causing everything you put in it to be wet. Samsung customer service DOES NOT EXIST. I bought a Samsung 4 door convertible refrigerator 3 years ago. Several months ago the top refrigerator compartment was no longer cooling. I visited the Samsung website and created a service ticket. Within a couple days I had a Samsung technician at my home to diagnose and repair my refrigerator. After 15 minutes the tech informed me that my refrigerator was unrepairable. The technician said my refrigerator had a 5 yr warranty on the closed system and he would upload pictures and his report to my service ticket and I should expect a call from Samsung within a couple days.Following two weeks, numerous phone calls, and hours on hold I received an offer from Samsung to buy my refrigerator back for the purchase price plus tax. At this point I was relatively satisfied even though my family had been without a refrigerator for over two weeks. That was 5 weeks ago and still no check and no resolution in sight. I have contacted Samsung numerous times and all I get is excuses and runaround. I had read numerous complaints about Samsungs poor customer service, but I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt; they have failed me. Needless to say there will never be another Samsung product in this house. Appliance buyers beware.

I bought a Refrigerator from Bismi, a leading dealer in Kochi for Samsung Products on Feb 20 2014. Attached the bill copy. Unfortunately, the product stops working just after the warranty period over. I contacted customer care, they took the fridge to their service center. After that, there is no information regarding the product. I had contacted the guy who took the fridge several time but I did not get any updates. So I used the chat facility and report the problem, after that I got a call from the CC and said that it is the problem with the freezer component and will take another 7 days to get the part. After raising the same complaint through this email portal, I got a call from the Samsung Head office and the person assures me that technical difficulty of availing the part for replacement and he told me he will update the status eventually and resolve as early as possible. Also he assures a standby refrigerator if he failed to deliver the product before 1st May 2015. But still after the call I did not get any information or updates from Samsung side. It is difficult to manage city life without refrigerator. Moreover I had a 18 month old kid and no one is in my home to get the daily eatables from the market as we are working daily for more than 10 hours. Please let me know whether I had to go for a new one or how long I had to wait for the product to get back. This is the letter I had sent to Samsung authorities, CEO, etc but no use. Today I got back my Fridge with a bill of Rs 3800/- INR.

The original fridge I had purchased had a defective water/ice dispenser. Initially the Hudsons Bay wanted to have it serviced rather than replaced, despite it being delivered in that condition. The Samsung service people didnt show up for the booked appointment. After fighting with the Hudsons Bay to replace the fridge 9 months later, after taking the complaint to The Star, through the Hudson Bay Executive Service Department arrangements were made for the fridge to be replaced. On the second Samsung fridge that was delivered, the right door on the fridge is in excess of 1/2 inch from the top of the fridge, right across the whole door and in excess of 1/2 lower, both on the top and bottom of the right door than the left door.Samsung claimed it was a leveling issue, sent me instructions on how to level it and told me to do it myself. Every individual I consulted with agreed it is impossible for it to be a leveling issue; it is a manufacturing defect. The fridge is under warranty and despite calling back and speaking with a supervisor, Samsung has not responded and will not deal with their defective product. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG FRIDGE OR ANY PRODUCTS FROM SAMSUNG!!!

The ice maker doesn’t work. Difficult to remove the ice bin. We followed all the troubleshooting instructions. Nothing worked. Our user manual was not up to date and did not show where the “reset” button was located. We called Samsung to complain, were told it was beyond the warranty. They scheduled a service company in our area. We later found out that no service company will touch it in our area due to the problems with the ice maker. The bottom line: We have no ice available in our Samsung french door refrigerator. The ice maker is overly complex, and not user friendly. There are too many ways for this unit to fail. I can’t believe Samsung would allow this kind of a bad customer experience. I guess I know why they had big problems with their phones and washers.

Oh, my gosh. 28cf French Door, luckily with a five-year extended warranty. After less than 2 years, plastic crisper drawers cracked. Since we just moved in, there was minimal items in drawers. They said it was normal wear and tear. Original owner was 85 years old, for goodness sakes. Last year, ice maker froze, was replaced, and froze again. Christmas 2018, whole back wall was all ice. Tech had to stream it to melt. Had to come back with part. Oops. Had to come back again with more parts because back wall was cracked. Samsung claimed it was cosmetic damage. I would not settle for that. Customer service is horrible! The extended warranty company did not want to cover cosmetic damage. I sent a full backup package, with a timeline, to our AG Consumer office and filed a complaint. Shortly after that, I received a check for the purchase price as a warranty buy out. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG!

Do not ever buy a Samsung appliance. Their customer service is terrible and their dishwasher works about 50% of the time. We are a household of 4 who use the dishwasher (model # DW80F600UTS/AA) once a day and load it sparingly, correctly, and with little soap. We have had a service person here 4 times since we bought it 7 months ago with an added extended warranty and they say they cannot correct the problem which is that the soap dispenser fails to open sometimes and other times opens but does not dispense the soap and other times works fine. They put in a new pump but that did not solve it. We have contacted Best Buy where we bought it. They turn us over to the appliance service they contract with. The appliance service says they cant do anything more. They turn us over to Samsung who says run it with no dishes in it and if it fails to open and dispense soap call us. But, we say, the problem exists 50% of the time, not 100%. Since we are still under factory one year warranty before the extended warranty kicks in, Samsung will charge us if they come out and cant locate a problem. We have spent hours and hours and hours on this. Would any of them be content with an appliance that fails to perform half the time?! I would also say that I will not buy anything else from Best Buy because they do not stand behind what they sell as soon as you are out the door, extended warranty or not. $801 spent on something that doesnt work right and they wont fix or replace.

Two technicians from two separate repair places were sent by Samsung and each said the diagnostics were not showing a problem so the unit is working correctly and the company is not at fault. Well the dishes do not get clean, the dryer does not dry, the glasses break because they fall over, and the water glasses actually have food spattered and dried on them when they are removed from the unit. Shame on Samsung for producing a dishwasher that actually ultimately makes glasses dirtier than when they were placed in the machine!

We bought our Samsung French Door refrigerator with ice maker about two years ago. All was great until two weeks ago when the ice maker started leaking. The ice coming out was wet and just made a mess. There was no ice being produced in the freezer drawer tray either. Husband took it apart, found the tubing was frozen so he fixed that. We have ice in the freezer tray again but the ice maker still isnt working (despite resetting it and lower the freezer temps). We havent attempted to contact Samsung based on other peoples experience (that it was a waste of time). Disappointing since we too paid a ridiculous amount of money for the refrigerator. We also owned a Samsung plasma TV that bit the dust after two years. Done with Samsung. Also going to contact Consumer Reports as this refrigerator (and many other Samsung products) appear as top picks (which is what prompted us to buy this particular model).

This refrigerator broke down 2 days after the warranty expired. They wanted a hundred dollars just to look at it before any repairs even started. I ran into an unsolvable trying to fix it myself. The connector to the evaporator fan shorted out. Half of that connector is built into the back wall of the refrigerator section. I got a new fan as the wire was clearly burnt off. I plugged the fan in and nothing, the refrigerator still did not work. I took it apart again and this time noticed that the tiny pin in the connector mounted in the refrigerator back wall was also burned off. I couldnt find that part anywhere. So I had to call for a service tech and pay the $100.00 call fee. The tech came out, inspected it, and deemed it unrepairable. So I now have a $4000.00 piece of trash. This is clearly Samsungs fault. It is a very poor design. If you search the internet you will see hundreds of complaints about icing and water build up in this section of the refrigerator. Samsung refuses to do anything about it or compensate me in any way. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR! They do not stand behind their products or care about their customers, or have a good designed product!

This is a follow up to a previous complaint I had with a Samsung French door refrigerator model # RF267ABRS. We had found our food thawed in the freezer part even though temp reading was at -2 F. I searched the web and found a repair tip to pull out unit and remove back cover. I did this and found that the coils were covered in lint and dog hair, we have dogs. The fan blade to cool the coils was also dirty and the water sump was full. I vacuumed as much of the build-up I could out of there, then unplugged the unit and used a small air compressor I have for sport balls and tires to blow out as much dust from the coils as I could. I then carefully cleaned off the fan blades with hot water and dish soap, with a sponge. The blades are plastic so I took my time. It will make a mess to clean up, but it should probably be done yearly, spring cleaning (Mine is about 3 years old and most complaints come after 2 years). I also removed the water from the drip pan under the coil with the small wet/dry vac I used. I plugged the unit back in and put the cover back. The freezer seems to be working. I will buy a thermometer to put in there to keep an eye on it as I do not trust the readout on the fridge itself. The site I used also said I should remove all items from the unit and let it sit unplugged with all doors open for 24 hours. This is to clear any drains blocked with ice. This will only work if you have a second refrigerator to put your food in to keep cold, which I do not. My issue is that there should be an error code on the readout of the unit that instructs a cleaning of the coils is due yearly, since this is a $2,500.00 unit!

My parents took delivery of a Samsung fridge model RS267LBWP on Sept.13, 2007. It worked for 32 months and then had no cooling problem. This problem has now gone on for 26 months and 7 service calls (at considerable expense) to the Samsung authorized repair center. Their Customer Service experience has been dreadfully poor as they are unresponsive to what is really a lemon. I have tried to escalate to the Voice of the Customer Manager who referred me to the Office of the President (yes, OOP - spell it backwards and thats exactly what it means). Take this notice and warn people to never buy a Samsung product. They do a great job of marketing and advertising but youre on your own if the product ever has a problem. Sony and Apple lead the way in terms of customer service. I will stick by those brands and the excellent service that they have provided in the past.Just an addendum: A family member bought a 52 Samsung LED TV 3 years ago and now the TV is developing dead pixels in the middle of the screen. This is obviously a Samsung problem but they have no solution to the problem and wont offer one other than a new $800 screen. The end of story - buy a Samsung product if you want but dont say you werent warned of the major customer service deficiencies this company exhibits.

My dishwasher started leaking badly. Upon my inspection, the bottom door seal was falling apart/disintegrating. I went to Lowes where I purchased it (this was one month after my 3 year extended warranty had expired) and asked to order the part in order for my plumber to repair it. They could not find the correct part but tried to sell me a part anyway. I knew enough to know that was not a part I needed So, I came back home and called Samsung for help. They referred me to J & J Parts which is their official distributor of Samsung parts. They could not find the individual part I needed. Moreover, they indicated that Samsung built that rubber piece into the door and I would have to buy the door for $254 to solve the problem! I called Samsung back and explained the issue. They didnt seem to care and said I would have to call an official Samsung tech. to come out and fix the problem. So I did that hoping it would cost me much less than $254 and the seal would be repaired. The tech confirmed what J & J Parts said to me on the phone - that I would have to order most of the door piece (over $200) and then the labor cost to add on to that made the estimate to repair at over $400! The Samsung tech visit cost me $97 for nothing that I didnt figure out myself! All this headache for a 22 piece of rubber seal! The bottom line is this: dont buy a Samsung dishwasher (my model #DW80H993), if you did and this happens, dont waste your time and money to try and fix it. I obviously would not spend the $400 for this piece of trash, so I bought a new and different dishwasher with a 5 year warranty.
