I purchased model# SMH1816S a little over two years ago and it just died on me yesterday. Of course, Samsung was no help because the warranty has expired on it. I am very angry and dissatisfied with Samsung products because they have proven to be crap -- and have a comically short shelf life. This breakdown comes only two months on the heels of my Samsung range breaking down and having to be serviced. All of my products were purchased at the same time (microwave, fridge, range) -- now I can look forward to having costly repair bills into the unforeseeable future. Im dreading the inevitable breakdown of my refrigerator soon. As expensive as Samsung appliances are, I just expected for them to last a lot longer before needing servicing -- say maybe 5-10 years. My previous Kenmore products lasted over 10 years without needing repairs. I will definitely not be purchasing anymore Samsung products! And their customer service sucks -- they should honor their products for a lot longer than 1 year. Oh yeah... they offered me a Protection Plus plan for $288 -- I can buy a new microwave for that price!

I purchased two Samsung ranges in 2012 for my small cafe. I just wanted them for baking. I know any commercial use would void the warranty, but I believed I would get several good years out of the ovens for a 1200 dollar range. One night that winter 2012/2013 I was sitting at the counter late at night doing bookkeeping. I was baking at about 400-425 degrees, when I heard a loud pop and saw one of the ranges on fire in the rear. I grabbed the fire extinguisher and started putting out the flames when I realized these being electric just pulling the plug would probably solve the problem… I did, and the fire went out (I did have an awful mess of chemicals to clean up). I researched the problem on the internet and found this to be a common problem with Samsung ranges. I was and still am mad. For a large corporation to put such junk for sale, I am incredulous. Ive let the thing sit for almost a year, and am going to finally call someone to give me an estimate to fix, so I can fix or junk. I tell everyone I come in contact with not to buy Samsung anything. The other range is still used never over 350 degrees.

If you are considering purchasing a Samsung dishwasher, DONT. If you spend
If you are considering purchasing a Samsung dishwasher, DONT. If you spend a penny on a Samsung dishwasher, its a penny too much, you might as well throw that money in the garbage. I am pro Samsung for many things, we own several Samsung TVs, phones, washer, dryer, fridge, stove, microwave, DVD players and I am happy with every one of those products, but the dishwasher is another story. The racking system is horrible, so your dishes dont fit properly, they dont stay in place. We have tried every possible layout and nothing works good. No exaggerating, 90% of the dishes come out dirty, especially the top rack items. Drinking glasses, coffee mugs, etc NEVER EVER come out clean. They always have crumb like substances dried into them, requiring us to then soak the glasses in the sink for a while to try to loosen the residue enough for me to clean them. And dont waste your time writing their customer services, because its a total waste of your time. And yes, we take very good care of our appliances, and clean out the drain, the sprayer, everything they recommend and it doesnt do a stitch of good. My best advice, go with another brand for a dishwasher.

We bought new home in September 2014, had Home Warranty. We have had someone out to look at our dishwasher 5 times. They keep fixing things on it and just today they brought a new part and now says it needs another. We had a cooktop stove also that needed fixed. The appliances are only a couple years old if that. I will never recommend Samsung to anyone. We also have the fridge, nothing wrong with it yet! We will out buying a new dishwasher, NOT SAMSUNG!

Model FER300SX. I bought this 4 years ago. First the front glass is edge to edge and we barely tapped it with a small pot and it shattered so bad I had to remove it all together. The glass top is nearly impossible to keep clean and the oven never quite cooked evenly. Now, at 350 degrees, thermometer reads 175-200 after 40 minutes. Bad mistake this was. Wont buy another appliance with Samsung on it.

RF series fridge freezes up, leaks water on to floor causing damage to flooring. Ice maker also freezes up. Must defrost fridge for an entire day every month or so. Samsung will not share the root cause of this failure. The solution offered by Samsung is to defrost it for 24 hours. Our $1000.00 dishwasher was placed curbside after 1.5 years. Microwave oven also failed after 3.5 years. Dont purchase Samsung appliances unless you are willing to replace the appliances every 2 years.

I purchased the entire black stainless kitchen set Refrigerator, Stove, Dishwasher, and Microwave. After 3 week of use on the stove my wife made corn on the cob, she did her normal way of making the corn of a large pot to boil the corn in. Well some of the water boiled over which is a normal thing that happens when cooking. We didnt think too much of it since we have been cooking on a glass top stove for over ten years with our old Ignis Stove. My wife went to clean the top the next morn and she found where the water boiled over the glass pitted or pop little holes in the top.Samsung is denying our claim say it is do to Wear and Tear. Are you kidding me!!! Wear and Tear. When the appliances came in we found that the freezer pull out door has a small crease in it and had to have this order from the company we purchased the appliances from. Well five weeks later still no replacement door. It is really sad because I have always enjoyed using my other Samsung products and have been buy Samsung for over 36 years now. Well they (Samsung) just lost one of their best customers!!!

After reading Consumers Report Magazine and choosing the top rated products
After reading Consumers Report Magazine and choosing the top rated products, we went to Best Buy and purchased all three appliances at once. The Oven started smoking (first time used), filled the house with toxic smoke, burnt my ladys face. The microwave exhaust fan never turned on. All this happened within the first time we used the oven. The side by side refrigerator started leaking water and wont stop leaking (water dispenser). Samsung sent out repairman for the range-oven, ordered parts then came back out to finish repairs, tried to use oven again, oven went up in smoke again. SoCalGas Co. came out and RED-tagged the Range-Oven. So far Samsung has blamed us for all the problems. We had to hire an attorney to handle this mess. Samsung has problems with their phones, washing machines, ranges, microwaves, and refrigerators. I wonder whats next?

Regarding to the glass part, the tech guy said it is only 2 made in our USA. We are waiting so long and dont know whats going on. Even though we have extended warranty on it. It was our fault. They wouldnt even send anyone out to look at it, just too easy to say no. We will never purchase anything related to Samsung again. Terrible company. Terrible service. I bought the Samsung dual flex because of the flex zones which seemed amazing. Well, let me tell you, the thing is very difficult to use. No more just turning the knob and having the oven on. Everything requires several steps which is frustrating when you are busy cooking and dont have a whole minute to program the oven. It seems petty until you are doing it.Worse is the lack of quality. My previous range was a 30 year old JennAir. A burner went out and the repair was $120. I should have repaired it. This Samsung is junk. We only cook 1-2 times per week with the stove (have an electric pressure cooker and infrawave we use a lot) and my son was trying to turn on the burner and it made a loud pop, the lights in the house flickered and it tripped the 50 amp breaker! I called Samsung right away. Their service center is in Compton, that Compton, and their service people treat you like you would expect to be treated in Compton based on the citys reputation. The guy told me to unplug the stove. I told him it would be a minute because I put a silicone bead between the stove and the counter so spills dont get under my stove and I would need a minute to razor that before moving the stove. The guy told me THAT was what broke the stove. I wish I was smart enough to have come up with sealing the stove and counter to stop the mess but a professional service person did that at my old house and it was amazing. And I have done it since because counter spills running between the stove and counter are gross. And there is no way a paper thin silicone bead on the outside edge of the stove and counter top seam would cause the stove to make a loud pop and then trip a breaker.A few days later someone calls me to come look at it. I thought I was covered at least under parts warranty. Nope! Nothing. $150 for someone to show up and then whatever the parts cost. The fact that there is only a 1 year warranty on this item should be a big red flag. This is the second Samsung appliance to let me down. I bought a Samsung fridge a while back and it was DOA. I ended up with a Whirlpool I hate because I let them haul the old fridge away and then had a fridge full of food spoiling and they offered to deliver the Whirlpool floor model in the next half hour. So 2 for 2 on the Samsungs being crap. And their service is horrible!! Im almost wondering if they are not using prison slave labor. When they call you it is a Compton number they call from. The way their customer service people talk to you and dont care at all prison labor would make sense.

Warning! Do not waste your money purchasing this colossal pile of garbage (5.8 cu. ft. Slide-In Induction Chef Collection Range NE58H9970WS). It rarely bakes/cooks evenly and it will frequently and rapidly overheat causing your food to burn and ultimately fry the electrical panel. Upon calling Samsung the only assistance they were able to provide was how to spend more of my money on their faulty product. Samsung takes zero responsibility for what is clearly a common issue with these oven ranges. As it stands my options are to spend $$ on a new electrical panel and the cost incurred on its installation and the additional fix-it repair to stop the oven from constantly overheating, or throw the darn thing away. Im going with the latter of the two. I will never purchase anything from Samsung again. If I could give is NEGATIVE STARS I would.

We purchased a Samsung convection oven in 2013. Weve had numerous issues with it, including easily scratched cooktop surface, uneven heating both in the oven and the burner elements, the convection motor not working consistently, touch pad controls that were difficult to adjust. This year whilst roasting our Thanksgiving turkey, the convection fan was working, however, half way through roasting the turkey, the oven lit up with a blue light and sparks were flying everywhere. I turned off the oven, hauled out the turkey, then switched off the breaker. When faced with the decision of whether to fix or replace the range, we went with replace. I will never trust a Samsung product again, it is not worth the safety of my family.

I especially love the way the grills keep heat around the area and doesnt stay warm long after you turn off the gas. The oven itself keeps the food at the right temperature you set it at. We bought a package deal at Best Buy in December 2016 - a Samsung dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and slide in double oven. In one years time, 3 of the 4 appliances have broken and need expensive parts. However, the gas slide in range is by far the worst product (NX58K9850). After using the self cleaning feature for the first time, the oven over-heated and door locked. We have to pay $400 to replace the control board to get it to work again. After seeing so many similar complaints, I cant believe there isnt a recall on this oven. We will NEVER buy a Samsung appliance again. Wish I had seen this site Before I made my purchase!

I purchased a Samsung stove from Lowes and also purchase the extended warranty. One day the stove top glass made a pop sound and cracked open. I called the company for repair and they sent a technician over. The technician called the repair company and they decided, dont know based on what, that it is a functional and physical problem and therefore they would not repair it. I have had this stove for 4 years and have been using it according to guidelines. As I explained to the service company personnel Abigael as well as Lowes repair person Keaton, no physical damage was done to the stove glass top; however they still refused to do the repair. I have had GE glass stove top and I have family members and friends that have either Electrolux or kenmore and that does not just happened. This glass top obviously is defective and the company does not want to own up to it.

We installed model # ME179KFETSR/AA in our remodeled kitchen in November of 2013. In February of 2014, 3 months later, the Microwave went bonkers (as noted in other complaints) and the control had to be replaced. It was under warranty, so there was no charge, just inconvenience. The repairman told me I should run the fan when cooking ANYTHING on my stove, even warming up canned vegetables. I took his advice and used the fan even though it is very loud. Unfortunately, this did not prevent the need for ANOTHER service call for the same problem in April of 2014. The problem has reoccurred for the third time and the microwave is now out of warranty. Even though the micro is less than a year and a half old, Samsung is only willing to give me the part at no charge, which will probably only cost them $30.00. Wow, what exceptional service. They MUST know the micro has a design flaw. The repair has not yet been performed, so Im not sure how much this is going to cost me, besides my loyalty to Samsung.

Over the last 2 years I have purchased 3 Samsung appliances, a microwave, an electric range, and a dishwasher. Each had had quality issues. The microwave runs fine but the door handle completely pulled out of the door. We dont even use it very often. Its 2 years old so I know from my experience with the dishwasher that I wont get any help from Samsung for poor quality. The dishwasher is high end model. The pieces holding the upper rack are plastic and dried out and broke within months following the purchase. The company replaced them once but when it happened a second time - because the plastic once again did not hold up - no replacement because it was outside the warranty date. Really? This is a quality issue and should be fixed completely. For now tie wraps hold up my top dish rack. So much for a $900 dishwasher. Finally the range. It is hit or miss whether it holds the set temperature and doesnt necessarily get to temperature if using one or more burner. Ive had it with Samsung appliances. Never again. The only samsung product I can honestly say Im happy with is my phone. Samsung appliances look nice on the outside but are made of poor quality materials. Samsung appliance department should meet up with the electronics department for a lesson in quality.

The original fridge I had purchased had a defective water/ice dispenser. Initially the Hudsons Bay wanted to have it serviced rather than replaced, despite it being delivered in that condition. The Samsung service people didnt show up for the booked appointment. After fighting with the Hudsons Bay to replace the fridge 9 months later, after taking the complaint to The Star, through the Hudson Bay Executive Service Department arrangements were made for the fridge to be replaced. On the second Samsung fridge that was delivered, the right door on the fridge is in excess of 1/2 inch from the top of the fridge, right across the whole door and in excess of 1/2 lower, both on the top and bottom of the right door than the left door.Samsung claimed it was a leveling issue, sent me instructions on how to level it and told me to do it myself. Every individual I consulted with agreed it is impossible for it to be a leveling issue; it is a manufacturing defect. The fridge is under warranty and despite calling back and speaking with a supervisor, Samsung has not responded and will not deal with their defective product. We purchased our Samsung Microwave (SMH1816S) for our kitchen remodel and had it installed in April 2014. The microwave died on 3/30/15, getting the dreaded error code of 5E. We called Samsung (800-726-7864) on 3/30/15. Having read these reviews, we were prepared for the worst, and that is exactly what we got. DENIAL, DENIAL, DENIAL. We were told our warranty no longer existed. Even worse, they told us our Model number and Serial number didnt even come up! They consistently told me they could give me the number of their service center, but that we would have to pay for the repairs. I argued for 45 minutes with ** explaining to her that we would in NO way pay for the repair of a defective product… something that Samsung is FULLY aware, yet continues to deny. She then said she would have the Tech. Dept. call me the next day. No one got back with me so I called back on 4/2/15 and spoke with ** which got me nowhere, so demanded to speak with a Supervisor. I then spoke with ** of Executive Customer Relations. He, again, tried to deny that Samsung has a serious problem with their microwaves. I cited the over 300 complaints on Consumer Affairs. After 45 minutes of arguing, he finally relented and said they would send a repair tech out at no cost but that the only part they would cover would be the control panel as this is the part that seemed to be the cause of our complaint based upon our error code. Today, 4/10/15, the repairman came out and replaced the control panel. And, not surprisingly, the microwave is still dead! He claimed it must be the main board that needs replacing as the new control panel did not solve the problem. As he only brought a new control panel, he said he would send in our repair results and that someone would contact me. I asked him what a new main board would run and he said he had no idea what the cost of parts ran as only the Joplin, MO. office would know.At this point, I am totally disgusted with Samsung. Seems to me that if it is not the control panel, then it is something else. Bottom line is these microwaves are crap and whats more frustrating is that Samsung is fully aware of it, yet will not take appropriate action… such as recall them. All I know is that when I am contacted, I am ready to fight once again for this worthless item to be fixed BY Samsung at no cost to us. We have not even used this microwave for 1 year and for it to die on us, is absurd! Would love to hear about anyone elses similar experience with failure of the main board. I can only reiterate what everyone else seems to feel… why has a Class Action Lawsuit not been put in action? I know this is a long standing complaint and is extremely common. Is there not an attorney in the house who has experienced this problem with Samsung Microwaves? I will be the first to sign the petition if the challenge is created. I will write more about our travails once Samsung calls me. And if they fail to do so, I will be calling them! NO ONE SHOULD PUT UP WITH SAMSUNGS DENIAL FOR REPAIR! If you dont get what you want, fight for what is right! It has worked for me thus far. They simply cannot keep denying these claims.Updated on May 5, 2015: This is a continuation of a previous review published 4/10/15. It is vital that every Samsung consumer read this tip. We went through the same agony as everyone in dealing with Samsung and their refusal to acknowledge or assist in the repair of these defective microwaves. We spent hours on the phone with several Samsung employees.. most in the management dept. Each phone call got us the usual response... we can provide you with the number of a service repair company but the cost is up to you. Just so you understand, I do not put up with lies nor do I put up with injustices. I do not let them go. It was not until after I finally demanded to speak with someone in their LEGAL DEPARTMENT that I got any satisfactory response. I was told that the only thing they could give me was the email address for their legal dept. So, I wrote the Legal Dept.. ** on 4/16/15. I expressed my disgust with Samsung and urged them to read the reviews on ConsumerAffairs.com. I pointed out to them that they were completely unethical in their handling of the hundreds (actually probably thousands if you take into account those who just did not write a review on ConsumerAffairs) of complaints as to the dreaded defective microwaves. I warned them that a Class Action Lawsuit seemed to be encouraged by most. On 4/17/15, I received an email from the Legal Dept. (I will not give the name as it seems the names are bleeped out). The email approved the cost of repair for our microwave. We, too, had the common 5E/SE error code. The technician came out on 4/21/15 to make the repair. Turns out we had to have the motherboard replaced (having already replaced the control panel) before the oven worked properly. We do not feel the headaches are over. It seems as if many of these issues arise again after a few months of use. We will not be surprised when/if this happens again. Bottom line, these microwaves need to be recalled or a Class Action Lawsuit should prevail. Samsung is only putting a temporary fix on these defects. Since the Legal Dept. acted as if my complaint was new to them, I can only encourage everyone to write the Legal Dept. of Samsung to voice their complaint and to get appropriate action. Hopefully this helps all of you who are getting nowhere with Samsung.

Range is 5 months old. Will not hold temp that it is set at. Set at 350 inside thermometer shows after oven is open temp drops. I have been told that no more parts can be replaced. Technician replaced all parts already. Company told technician to tell me to figure out what temp I want to bake at and adjust temp to that temp. It starts out at 380 per the technicians meter when stove is set to bake at 350. Last technician told me to cook one tray cookies at a time because when I pilot in 2 trays, that is making temp drop because heat cant circulate properly with 2 trays and that is why heat temp drops. WHAT? I have been baking for 40 years and have ways been able to bake 2 trays at one time. Sure temp will drop a few degrees when you open oven but I have to shut oven off in order to preheat it each time I open the door to get it to come back to the temp I set. I see all these problems people are having with fires and I am scared to death. I want it fixed right or would appreciate if Lowes would give me credit to get a different make. I will never buy another Samsung product. I did call federal trade commissioner office to give my complaint. Maybe if everyone else called and voiced their complaint, maybe Samsung would have to be responsible and fix these issues.

I purchased a Samsung convection range/oven on 5/30/2014 from Best Buy for $770. I dont do a great deal of baking, but mostly casseroles, meats, etc. I believe baking cakes or cookies would have tipped me off earlier that the oven wasnt heating right. Over the last few months I noticed that it was taking much longer than usual for the food to cook. One evening when I opened the door to pull out a chicken casserole, the chicken was raw inside and the rice was crunchy. The oven was set at 400 degrees but I could hold my hand in the oven and it only felt warm. I am going to buy a new oven and you can be sure it wont be a Samsung. As a note, I also purchased a Samsung dishwasher which is 3-years old and Ive already replaced the pump and it looks like it needs to be replaced again.

We purchased the Samsung 24 Stormwash dishwasher in August 2020. After the first time I ran a full cycle, I got an error code OC. I looked it up and the manual said to contact the manufacturer. I tried using another cycle to see if that would work, it didnt. So I tried several other cycles and it finally completed a cycle. But I immediately noticed it didnt wash the dishes at all. Dishes that didnt even have grease on them before, were greasy with debris on it. Mind you, I rinse the majority of the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. So I called Home Depot to tell them it wasnt working and they informed me at that moment that it was purchased from the manufacturer so I would have to contact them. Soooo, I called them and I have had the run around from the very beginning. They arranged with a local company to send a tech out to look at it. That is whole story in itself (and not a good one). He FINALLY came out, said it needed a part, ordered it and came back to install it a week later. After he left, I tried a cycle and it worked. And then I ran another cycle and it barely got about 2 to 5 minutes into the cycle and it stopped. I called Samsung again, and after speaking to the lady (a rather rude lady at that), she finally escalated it for me to get a refund or replacement because they couldnt get in contact with the company that supposedly fixed my unit. They were supposed to call me back within 24 to 48 hours. A WEEK later, I called them because I never got a phone call back and they had the nerve to tell me I didnt qualify for a replacement or refund. They sent a defective unit that cost $1052.85 and now I have to jump through hoops just to get the unit fixed. The rep has been rude and dismissive. The unit is horrible! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. We have everything else Samsung, but we will NEVER buy from them again!

Samsung stove burners are defective!!! Once burners are utilized on high, you cannot turn down burner to low to keep food warm - you must remove pan from burner, turn burner completely off and wait for heat to dissipate before putting back on low and returning pan to burner. You cant walk away for any length of time as pans burn on high!! I am buying a coil burner to cook on as All stoves are built this way. Make sure if you are buying new to get a coil or old fashion stove rather than glass top - although they look great and clean easy, they SUCK!!!

Quality is poor service and truthfulness of customer service is sad. When called about icing up inside ref they said no help. That was not warranty item same with ice maker. These problems did take place in 3rd year so I have service contract with Home care and they fixed both on 2nd visit for the order parts. Shared it was covered under warranty and they got parts free, showed me invoices. Month laser bottom freezer handle come off (no warranty) send part with no instruction how to install or even # to call. Send them video of ref making strange noise and advised them what I have done so far to fix it. They do not watch or listen to video. Send email saying must be ice maker, suggest have it serviced. 4) They have no notes of conversation and everything must be repeated, they have nice people and great phone manners but are under-trained and clearly lack the support they need to do their job. They can not send email advising where to log on for video training. Just check site or Youtube!!!

Purchased a Samsung Dishwasher that never dried the dishes properly but failed after 5 years and 1 month, 1 month after the warranty period. Contacted Samsung but did not receive any relief. Purchased a Samsung Electric Stove FTQ353IWUX in May 2012 and registered with Samsung.com. In August 2015, the oven sometimes failed to work. I was able to switch between Convection and Regular mode and sometimes cajoled the oven into working. Received an error code one time, it was E08. Stove will not longer heat up. The LED reads 150 degrees and the appliance does a lot of clicking, but will not heat up.Oven lasted roughly 3 years, 3 months. Was told by Samsung that the glass top only is warrantied for five years, the oven just one year. Could purchase a Samsung warranty but would cost several hundred dollars and the part (control board, etc.) would be warrantied for only one year. Contacted numerous appliance fixing businesses but all, including Sears, wanted $99 just to diagnose what is wrong. Very disappointed in Samsung and will never buy another Samsung appliance. Would like to join others in any ongoing class action lawsuit against Samsung.

I purchased a kitchen suite at ABT less than a year ago. Refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, microwave. Every one of these appliances are garbage! The refrigerator door shelves cracked and fell to the floor in less than two weeks. The refrigerator makes intermittent LOUD noises like a grinding sound. Water pools at every bin and the worst of all is the layout is impossible to not knock everything over trying to retrieve a single item. The dishwasher stinks...LITERALLY! It always smells awful. It doesnt clean dishes well at all and leaves chunks of residue after several cycles of cleaning the same load. The repairman said Well, just leave the door open and it wont smell so bad! Really? The oven is constantly setting off our carbon monoxide detector and recently, I thought there was moisture built up on the oven door and when I tried to open it to wipe the glass front it exploded in a thousand fragments of glass everywhere! This company should be held accountable before someone dies...

I bought fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher from Leons in Canada. The extended warranty has been the best money Ive ever spent - ever. Excluding the microwave, in the three years since I bought them, Ive had close to TWENTY service calls on the three appliances. There have been numerous problems. The stove was arcing 220 Volts onto the chassis of the appliance, the top spontaneously (really!) cracked. The burner switch burned out. The ice maker in the fridge has had 5 service calls, drips water on the floor every time you open the door and still ices up regularly. The dishwasher leaves debris on the dishes even though I rinse most food waste off the dishes and they claim it has a food disposal feature. I just had multiple components including the pump and fill module replaced. Dont buy any household appliances by SAMSUNG. They are poorly designed and cheaply made.

I looked at troubleshooting in manual and it said to press clear, I did and it worked for a few days!!! After few days, SE showed up again, and could not fix. Stove too worked, oven didnt. Yay. I purchased. Samsung refrigerator in 2017, and had to have it repaired three times, finally gutting all cooling apparatus and replacing it to make it work. Even so, I purchased a Samsung range in 2018 on the advice of my local repairman. This stove was two weeks old when the black stainless steel coating began to peel away from the door of the stove after being cared for as the directions indicated: soft cloth and water. Home Depot and Samsung claim that this is not a mechanical issue and therefore not covered in any way. Then, a few months later, in November 2018, the cooking grates began to shed flakes of coating, right near my food, and rising was occurring and visible. They replaced them after a few months (March, 2019) more and several calls. My one year warranty was up in May 2019, the new cooking grates began peeling and flaking again in August. After much talking and being patient but firm, they have agreed to send me new grates, but why bother? They will peel again in a few months! I am so frustrated, how is this company allowed to make substandard appliances that are a danger to people and not even held accountable? I am really concerned about this flaking coating so near my food. I really want this stove out of my kitchen!

She transferred me to a more senior representative who made the same claim. This is ridiculous!!! After being hit with super storm Sandy, I bought five Samsung appliances, each one has flaws. I am so disgusted with owning these products. The quality is very poor. The stove I purchased cooks really well but it is vented from the door. Years ago, the stoves vented from the top and sometimes pan handles burned or were extremely hot. Today, they vent from the door. Now I noticed that the five knobs are all burnt. Since I own the stove for more than a year, it is not covered and they feel this is not a mechanical problem. This is not my fault. It is a defect in the product if it burns the handles. I took out a warranty from Lowes and they say it is not covered under the extended warranty. My wife and I decided to purchase all new appliances for our remodeled kitchen. We purchased the Samsung black stainless Fridge, microwave, range, and dishwasher. First of all the microwave (ME21K7010DG), at first it would input 777 on the display by itself, then one night I woke up and the blower was on high, then on another night I woke up the the microwave heating up on its own. Lowes had sent out a contractor three different time and replaced the door, it would work fine for a short time. Then after contacting Samsung on several different occasions, they keep telling me to unplug the unit and plug it back in. That did work for a few months but now it is turning on again. Finally, I decided to replace the microwave on my own dime as I am not willing to wait for Samsung to make this right. It isnt worth having my home burn down.As for the range, (NE58K9500SG) The front control knobs dont have a locking feature, I have had several times when someone would but the knob and the heating element would turn on. We dont have young kids so it really isnt an issue for use but if you do have small kids I dont recommend this range. As for the rest of the items, we havent had any issues so far.

With the assistance of my husband I pulled the stove away from the wall to see flames pouring out the back of my stove. We got it unplugged and the flames out. Had I not been in the room at the time, my kitchen would have gone up in flames. It has been two weeks since that incident and I still do not have stove. Samsung came across as caring at the beginning and sent a service technician, but they will not respond to me anymore. The service technician recommended a replacement of my stove but Samsung issued a repair order. Samsung connected me to someone in management via email, but they won’t acknowledge my concerns or even respond to my emails. It is an absolutely terrible product, and terrible customer service. This was my first and last Samsung appliance purchase. Do not buy this stove.

A few years ago, I bought a Samsung oven/range/stove. Today, I pressed the self-clean button. The oven status display started beeping and displayed an error code E-0E and flashed an icon of a padlock. I researched trouble shooting, tried to reset, powered cycled, etc. Nothing worked. The oven no longer works - it only flashes the display - E-0E and there is no way to stop it. I called Samsung and after getting a magnifying glass and super bright light to read the M/C number and serial number ON THE BOTTOM OF THE OVEN, the lady told me the unit was out of warranty (big surprise). She then told me that for about $300.00 (about 40% of the price of the oven), I could buy a warranty and it would cover the repair. I said no - so they transferred me to a service number where they informed me it would cost about $225.00 for a service call to diagnose the problem. I asked them why the oven was equipped with a self-destruct button - and how it is possible that an oven could die after barely 2 years of light use. No answer.

We bought the over-the-range oven, Samsung model# SMH9187ST in May 2010. In June 2011, the error code - SE - appeared on the display. Tried to unplug/restart. That worked for a couple of times. Called to Samsung customer service, that told me that nothing can be done, since the 1 year of warranty has expired, but we can pay out of pocket to get it serviced. Naturally, we refused, since it would make more financial sense to buy a new oven, than to service an old one that would get broken in another year or so. Samsung doesnt stand for its products. Its a fairly simple kitchen appliance to be broken after 1 year of use. Would be very reluctant to buy another Samsung product, again. For the past 2 years, its been used as the over-the-range night light.

If a 0 was available for rating I would rate Samsung with a 0... Never again will they have my business. I purchased my Range glasstop NE59J3420SS at Home Depot on April 2016. Not even a week I was cooking and heard a loud pop noise and removed my pot and saw that the glass was cracked. I immediately called Samsung and the conversation started nicely and was under the impression that they would fix it since the agent told me they would. I send pictures of the damage and of receipt of purchase. They told me they would call me... Never received a call from them. So I called a week later to see what was going on and they had closed my case because no pictures were received they said, which is bs. New agent created a new case number and had to resent everything. She said I had to wait for 3 days and they would call me with an appt sent up for a technician to come and look at it. Again never received a call so called them... They gave me the appt for the technician to come and thought he was gonna fix it. Instead he left with no answers to my questions so called Samsung back and they kept saying they would fix it. Waited and waited and waited and nothing from them. Called again to see what was going on and said again they would send a new technician to look at it. Dont know why. They already seen pictures. But the new technician that came was checking our oven which our oven was working and told him it was the cracked top not the oven and again left with no answers. I called them and said they would call me back. Again they never did. After weeks of waiting for their call I called them back and said it was physical damage and would not be covered. Wtf... Not even a ** week with it and still fully under warranty and they wouldnt fix it. This company is really a ** joke. I was calling them constantly for over 5 months to get this fixed for them to tell me at last that they would not fix it. Very disappointed and frustrated process to go thru with this company. Never ever again will be buying from them. And to make it worst Im still paying Home Depot for this???? PLEASE BE AWARE!!!

This Samsung range takes 60 minutes to reach 475 degrees. If you open the oven door, the temperature quickly drops. Broil function won’t work. This range has been used about 6 times in the last 3 years. We bought this for our vacation home 3 years ago. It was part of a package deal refrigerator, range microwave, and dishwasher for $5200. 9 months ago the repair service changed the master board for $300. When we returned 2 months ago, it still doesn’t work. Repair wants to change master board at our expense. 3 month guarantee on this part. Again we have joined a class action lawsuit against Samsung. Please google Samsung range lawsuit to substantiate my complaint.

I purchased a Samsung double door refrigerator RT31HVMSI in May 2006. On 12th of December, my refrigerator stopped working and a complaint was lodged with you customer care. Subsequently, an engineer visited us promptly and the fridge was handed over to the representatives of Vision Cool Services, 2 New Taratalla Road, Kolkata -88 on Friday, 17th of December with the verbal assurance that my fridge would be returned on Tuesday, 21st of Dec. I had requested for a standby fridge as we are a working couple and a fridge is a necessity but I wasnt provided one. On the 21st, I was given an estimate which I confirmed again with the assurance of a delivery on the 23rd. I have taken leave today in order to take delivery of my fridge. After repeated calls routed through your customer care, I was informed that they do not have a delivery van at their disposal today. I have made the purchases of perishable non-vegetable items which will now be wasted. Such callous and irresponsible behavior is not acceptable. Kindly look into the matter and arrange for a prompt delivery.

Samsung range/oven Model NE595R1ABSR - Upon contacting Samsung service due to a sensor failure in my top oven, I am told that there is no certified service provider available within three hours of my home. Although my parts are supposed to be under warranty, I was told that they had no information on my ability to obtain a sensor and do the repair myself. Because I now have smoke coming out of the control panel when I bake in the lower, and because the lower oven is making the same sounds that the top made just before going out, it looks like I will have to replace the range. I wont make the same mistake in purchase. I wont buy from a box and I wont purchase Samsung.

I completely outfitted my kitchen with new, stainless (I thought!) top of the line Samsung appliances. The convection microwave oven board stopped working day one. I returned to store for completely new replacement. Within a week - the same issue. Board replaced four times. Last time just after one year. Problem continued during that time, but I couldnt miss work for repairman to come. Repair tech had said board problem caused from heat of stove. This is an above stove unit meeting all necessary height specs. As a courtesy Samsung offered $430 if I cut the cord and removed serial plate (13 months after purchase of a $700 product with $150 installation!!). I cant replace it for that amount. I also have gas convection range ($1500), the broiler doesnt work. The flames on one burner are HUGE (they licked around pan and caught dinner on fire!) And oven got so hot it MELTED the knobs - apparently they are not metal as they appear but a metal look skin that melts with heat and is also chipping off. Replacement of knobs = $150 only to have it happen again... Additionally my french door Refrigerator ($2800) with two drawers makes a super loud squealing noise. After discussing with a friend, found out she had the same problem with her Samsung appliances. DO NOT BUY!!! NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT or concern for satisfaction. My products are only 16 months old.

Buyer beware! If you are considering buying ANY Samsung appliance, contact Samsung first to find out where your nearest qualified repair technician lives, because you will certainly need them. After 4 years and 10 months, our refrigerator fan started making a noise similar to aircraft. It is no longer cooling enough on the refrigerator side. We called Lowes, who arranged for a tech to come out and look at it who lives 3 HOURS AWAY!We also have a Samsung dishwasher that stopped working after 4.5 years, and asked if they could fix it also. Lowes said they did not know if this technician could also service the broken dishwasher. Many appliance repair people do not like to, or simply cannot work on Samsung appliances. Do yourself a huge favor and buy an American brand. We will never buy Samsung appliances again, and are replacing them with Frigidaire instead of paying someone to drive 3 hours to run diagnostics, order parts, return to replace parts, etc.

My icemaker dispenser stopped dispensing cubed ice. It still dispensed crushed ice and water. I called Samsung for factory authorized service. They arranged for one of their authorized repair serviceman to perform repair. I watched as he called Samsung to talk to a tech. Im an electrician and it became apparent to me he did not know what he was doing. He listened to the tech and using his meter, he checked several connections on the printed circuit board. Several times, he was checking the wrong terminals and had to ask the tech to repeat where to check. He said he needed to order parts and would be back in a few weeks. When he returned, he installed the parts and said everything was working. I paid $433.77. Later, I noticed there was no ice being made. When I tried the dispenser, it no longer tried to dispense any ice cubed or crushed. I called Samsung to complain. I was given a phone number to call. The person there listened to the trouble I was having and said the parts replaced would not have fixed my problem. He said he would send out parts and arrange for a different repair company to install. When the new repair person arrived, he listened to my problem and said the parts sent would not fix the trouble. He checked out a few things. When he put the parts back together, the water dispenser no longer worked. He said he would need to call Samsung for parts and left. After two weeks, I called to find out the status. I was told that Samsung would not authorize any farther repair but nobody bothered to call me.I called Samsung again and was told they were sorry about the misunderstanding and issued a new work order number. A few days later, I received an email stating the work order number was cancelled. Another call, another order number and again another cancel email. Again, I called, got a new number and again a few days later, a cancel e-mail. I called again, this time, I was asked to hold. Before the operator put me on hold, I heard him say to someone else, Its that (my name) again. What do you want to do? Then he hit the hold button. When he came back on line, he said Samsung was no longer going to attempt any repair. When I stated that I was out $433 and my unit was worse than when their repair people started working on it, he stated, Sorry but youre on your own. This story has been abbreviated for space allowed. This exchange went on for almost three months and involved many, many phone calls and e-mails. It involved nine different service order numbers, most of which were cancelled within days of being issued. Do not buy any Samsung product. They will not stand behind it with quality service and will just try to drag out the problem until you go away.

Dangerous and scalding to the touch (on the outside) on self-cleaning mode, melted my cupboards on both sides of the range. Of course Samsung will not acknowledge that there is a problem with this unit doing this. Leons Furniture (where I bought it from) will not accept any responsibility either. They (Samsung) is now telling us that the consumer needs at least 3 inches on each side of the range for clearance (who in the heck would build an opening that huge for their range and it would also be aesthetically ugly) and how stupid would that look for a slide in range (the glass top would not sit on top of the counter then??). Then the next excuse is that you should pull your range out every time you self-clean... really?? (Not with my bad back!) Strange that in every distributor that sells this range such as Lowes, Home Depot, Leons that their display models do not have a huge 3 in gap on both sides of the range, can you say FALSE ADVERTISING!Before I bought this monstrosity I had a Kenmore slide in range and never, EVER, did I have a high heat/scalding to the touch issue with it, it never caused damage to the surrounding cupboards either. Beware of this extremely dangerous product and most of all they (Samsung) will take your money but they surely dont care if they damage your newly remodeled kitchen. Warning... keep children and pets away from this dangerous product. I now see why they have so many complaints about phones, dryers and now stoves. At least stand behind your product if they damage a consumers property!

My husband has been buying Samsung product for 20 years and since building our new home of course all of everything has to be Samsung...well either theyre under new management or they are getting too comfortable with their name, because we have had bad experience with the oven the 1st year. The door got stuck self cleaning and burned out the display panel and still cant see the numbers on it even after getting it fixed parts in all service paid $400. Microwave numbers seems to jam sometimes but still work. The Samsung vacuum cleaner has no adjustment, very hard to push and now 4 year later within the 5 year of our new home the refrigerator bottom freezer does not work.We YouTube fix it yourself and nothing has worked...top work but bottom doesnt and not to mention the dishwasher top rack will fall on one side off the track. We paid cash from Best Buy for all of our Samsung appliances and I am very disappointed and wait a minute our 50 tv all of a sudden had gotten a green line to appear in the left hand corner. Dont know how that happened...we are 50 year old. No kids to cause any of this damage nor do we have pets. We are very clean people and dont want to have to replace all these but looks like soon its gonna happen so this is our past experience with Samsung products

I bought a full appliance set from electronic express here in Nashville. I bought refrigerator, range, dishwasher and over the range microwave. I spent about $5,0000.00. The microwave right after working one year it just quit working. I called Samsung they sent a tech and he fixed it. After 3 months the dishwasher never clean right. We started cleaning the dishes before we put them in the dishwasher, but finally it quit working - even the dishwasher detergent was left on the dish. I called Samsung and they said it is over a year and warranty expired. So I am out of luck. So I am planning to buy Whirlpool dishwasher since that was the old one I had which worked for over 9 years without a problem. I replaced it because my wife want a stainless steel set of appliance. Follow up; my frustrating experience with all of our Samsung appliances. St
Follow up; my frustrating experience with all of our Samsung appliances. Stove Model NE58F97. Fridge Model RF267. Washer WF 328 and Dryer DV 328. Stove has a previous review in Feb. The amount of issues with this stove warrants action by consumers. Doesnt cook! Burns, dries out, undercooks food and anything with fat under high heat will be sucked through the convection fan and turn into a smoking mess. Will not broil anything, try and broil a steak, youll be sorry. The only way you are going to bake a potato is to place it directly on the lower stove element and turn it once. Thats how bad the cooking is. This stove is all flash with zero engineering or consumer testing. The glass top ($); well seems everyone is having problems with the top. Too fragile period! I will be replacing my top after a 1 ounce salt shaker nicked the edge. Looked like an innocent looking edge chip but the first time the large burner was turned on it shattered the top. Design flaw or purpose built? You be the judge, looks suspect to me. Wonder how many glass tops were made? The shelving is horrible, we had an incident in previous review where the locking sliding shelf would lock into place randomly. Looked locked in but wasnt. Rest of shelving just falls to bottom with any weight. Really bad on lower half of stove. Dangerous! Burns! Damaged ovenware! Really! Burners are all over the place with heat regulation. Zero simmering capabilities, goes from no heat to blast furnace. Ruined many high quality stainless pans and Revere Ware to the point they are unusable (warped). Way too hot on high settings. Multi burner has multiple control issues. I do not bake cake goods but I can just imagine the problems with that because it can barely cook a pizza. Warming drawer is worthless (low setting too hot) and makes loud banging noises from heat expansion. Do not open this stove without turning your head away, the steam that shoots out of the front of this stove is dangerous. Cooling fan was dead quiet now has annoying high pitch. So it will not cook, its dangerous, will destroy your property and you will need a new top ($500) around every two years if you are lucky. This is my personal experience. Please if anyone has had a good one let us know! Fridge, well the fridge has performed fair but heres the list. Ice maker way under powered. Has been replaced once under warranty ($). Struggles to dispense or crush ice. Interior shelving horrible. Folding and sliding shelves have a mind of their own and continually cause items to fall out of fridge. Folding shelf was stiff so we tried to stay away from using it. Broke ($) at hinges 3rd time we used it. Front lowest edge of shelf is rounded without lip. Stuff slides off shelf onto floor. Fresh drawer broke the 2nd time ($) we cleaned it. Just hangs loose now. Freezer will occasionally go into steroid defrost mode and you will have an inch of frost on everything (normally a 16th of an inch). Washer does good job washing but screams horribly on any fill cycle. Sign they used cheap plastic on their water fill valves ($) and calcium buildup is slowly clogging it. Washer has the load leveling feature ($) which has gotten sloppier. Dryer does well but occasionally acts like the sensor ($) is going and will leave a damp load. I wont buy any of their products again. They got too big too fast and have turned into company that needs profits and have designed their appliances to be cash cows (that is what the dollar sign represents in this review) for their parts and repair business and affiliates. I purchased my stove through the internet from Goedekers in St. Louis, MO in 2014 and paid $1800. I will not bother with their customer service, they have to be overwhelmed and under corporate pressure to not honor their product from what I have read. Stay far away from their products and good luck finding anything of quality out there today. Our own fault we let this go on.

I remodeled my kitchen 4 years ago and purchased all new Samsung appliances. They were magnificent looking! However, the microwave touch panel malfunctioned after just a few months and went completely black... no lights. Samsung repaired it due to a recall on the panel. Now four years later it is out again! I had to purchase a new microwave today... NOT SAMSUNG. The range already has one malfunctioning burner so now Im down to 3 burners. The refrigerators ice maker stopped working after 7 months.... cost $450 to replace. Samsung only guarantees the ice maker for 5-6 months. Only Samsung repair people can fix your appliances because no one else can get the necessary parts, so the repair charge is double that of other appliance repair businesses. The dishwasher cleans horribly and leaves grit in EVERY glass/cup. The welded stainless steel walls of the dishwasher came apart and my husband had to repair them with rivets. I refuse to spend another dime repairing Samsung products. I will gradually replace them when they break completely. STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG!!!

Bought the Samsung DMT800RHS dishwasher from Lowes and installed it. After about 6 months of use, I noticed the top rack was sagging and not very sturdy. I noticed the adjustment clips were broken off the rack and I found 3 of them in the bottom of the dishwasher. I thought it was strange because we had never used the adjusters to raise or lower the rack. I called Samsung and described the problem so they looked up the date of purchase and said they would send out new adjusters to replace them. I got the parts and installed them. After about 4 months I noticed that 2 had broken off again - I knew it was a design flaw. I checked another model at Lowes and noticed they had a different design on that dishwasher for the upper rack. One morning after running the dishwasher the night before, I opened the door and began removing dishes - they were still dirty and there was liquid soap running down the door inside that had not dissolved. I reloaded the dirty dishes and turned it on. It filled with water, but the motor did not run and there was no washing. After checking out the control board (okay) and talking with Samsung, I tackled the problem myself. I removed the wash arm, unscrewed the filter module, removed the housing and found one of the broken clips wedged in the pump motor. After removing the piece and reassembling the module, it filled up with water and started washing. Samsung needs to provide a retrofit for the rack adjusters and send to all of their customers. I am considering making a clamp to wrap around the adjuster and the rack to keep it from falling below. Put my name on the list of dissatisfied consumers and contact me for a retrofit when available.

Bought unit (Samsung over the range microwave model SMH1622B) in Dec. 2014.
Bought unit (Samsung over the range microwave model SMH1622B) in Dec. 2014. Lately when I put something into it, as soon as I close the door, the light inside it comes on and the turntable starts spinning. It does not stop if I press the stop/clear button. The only way to stop it is to open the door. If I press the stop/clear button while the door is open it does nothing, as the unit starts up again as soon as I close the door. The ONLY thing that stops this is if I open the door, press the 1 {1 second} button, close the door, and then press start. The unit then cooks for 1 second, and finally shuts off.
