Viking stove should be recalled. Since the first use, we have been having the same problems all of the other people have been having with the stove. It should be recalled because it is a danger to use. Our oven gets so hot that it has melted the stove wires and control box. It has warped our oven door so it doesnt shut all the way, and the heat reflector (not sure if this is correct name) in the bottom of the oven is cracked and buckled. The oven gets so hot that if you touch the outside of it, you will get burned. The oven also fills up with gas and makes a popping sound or just blows the door right open! It scares me with my children if the oven is on. They can get burnt or hurt with the door blowing open. Also, because of the intense heat and the wires melting, the left side of the stove doesnt work.

Weve had issues with our Viking refrigerator coming with a leak in the line, so it wasn’t very good. They sent a product that didnt work. We had to have them come out and repair it right away before people could even move into the house. We were selling the house. I called Viking, and then they set me up with the two people that work on Viking in the area.

I knew what I wanted when I went to the store and I told the staff I was looking for a particular Viking range. The only thing was that they had to distinguish between a dual fuel and a non-dual fuel range. The Viking range is a great product and I like its gas top feature.

Purchased in 1976. Arrived with defective igniters that the company would not address; but fortunately a service person was kind enough to change out for free. He cared more about their reputation than Viking. This is WAY overpriced and rated for what it is. The oven temperature has always been off and there seems no way to calibrate it. It is a pain to clean and maintain. I would never buy one of these again.

When we bought the house, we requested for Viking appliances. We wanted to get the big 42-inch refrigerator but our realtor failed to tell us at the last minute that they ordered a 36-inch model instead. But even though its not the model I liked, I love its quality. The aesthetics, as far as the door hinges, doesn’t get in my way. It was well-thought out and well-engineered. I also like the option that the temperature is different in certain compartments. However, I dont like the freezer part. As far as the stovetop, we had a choice in that. We got the eight-burner stove and it is phenomenal. It also has a conventional oven built in. All in all, I like Vikings appliances because I can buy a certain model and it has options that come along with it.

I have always heard about Viking Ranges and always wanted one. We remodeled our whole house, so we got all new appliances. We did some research and Viking Range was really out of my cost range but I found one at Best Buy that was being discontinued and it was locked down and so we got it. I chose Viking because I liked the look of it. I wanted a dual fuel and I liked the look of the cooktop and I particularly like the self-cleaning range. I was also looking at a KitchenAid but when I dug deeper, I found that it wasnt self-cleaning and Viking Range appeared to be. I havent cleaned it yet. We used to have just a cooktop and a separate oven and I wanted both of those combined together. Other ranges were far away from the actual burner itself and I really wanted one that was closer. I really like the shelf, pulling it in and out and Viking was very smooth in that. So, we decided to go with a Viking Range. However, the quality is not so good. We bought it in October off the showroom floor. They sat here for over a month and then they installed it and it didnt work. The gas cooktop worked but the electric oven did not work. Since we bought it at Best Buy through Pacific Sales and we signed up for their Geek Squad offer or the five-year plan, we called them and someone came out the next day. They told us that the motherboard was fried. So, they said I have to order another one. So, we waited and waited and finally, they ordered the part, the part came and the guy who came to install it said, Oh, this is the wrong part. This is not what we ordered. So at that point, this was in January, I was fed up with them because both who came had no good things to say about Viking. We started questioning if we made the right decision. Maybe we loved the way it looks, but if I have problems with it, then this is not the range for us. So, we went to Best Buy and Pacific Sales, and we talked to them and they were very nice about it. They asked if we want our money refunded or if we want to pick out another one instead. I selected the KitchenAid that I wasnt going to get the first time. And in the meantime, they gave me the name of the Viking dealer in Dallas area that provides some support for that kind of thing and told us, Call them directly and see what they can do. And if they get it fixed and you want to use it, use it until your other one comes in. So, the KitchenAid was back ordered and it was just supposed to be delivered last Thursday. The guy came out from the other place and he worked on the Viking range and he said, Well, I think its just the power supply thats bad on it. Let me get a part for it. So, he ordered a part, he came out and it was just the power supply. He fixed it and got it up and running and thats been a couple of weeks ago. Now, its up and running and I love it. The guy who fixed it recommended that we should call Viking and get an extended warranty from them. I did but Viking doesnt offer an extended warranty. Also, theres a lot of things in there and I have not used but I did not get anything with it that tells you not to do or how to convert or any of that. I got to figure that out. I have conventional kitchen instructions and I wanted it to convert it to convection but I dont know how thats going to work yet. We bought an extended warranty with Best Buy or Pacific Sales because it does have a material warranty on it. So, Im going to call the people who can fix it for two years and then we go back to Best Buy for the last three years. I havent used all the functionality on there but I love what Ive used, which is bake and Ive used the cooktop and the grill on the cooktop. If I had purchased it from someone else who knew more about Viking, I might have had a different experience. I dont know how long they studied Viking. But when I called the Viking repair people directly, they said not everyones authorized to make changes. If youre going to buy something off the floor, it should work, and you should have people who are authorized to fix come out and work on it. And whoever comes out, since you spent a ton of money on it, you want someone to confirm that you made the right decision and not bad mouth what you had.

I had a Viking for 24 years and it worked for a long time. I never had any problems with them so that was good. I remodeled the kitchen and I now have a range so it’s getting used to having one oven below instead of two small ovens off to the side. I ordered it online and it worked out fine.

We moved in a brand new building and a Viking range came with our place. Its brand new and it seems to be of good quality, but it seems to take a very long time to pre-heat the oven and were not sure if thats normal. Its certainly not the case in my older cooktop. Well call consumer department and see what they say. On the stove part, I have to make coffee and I set down a diffuser because the openings on this grate are too large to hold my little Bialetti coffeemaker. It works much better than when I put it directly on the burner like I do at home, which is also a Viking, so we like that. We also have a refrigerator, a range, a dishwasher and a fan vent that are all Viking. I had some problem, called the dealer and they were not helpful at all.

We moved to a new home over the summer & as much as I have loved my new kitchen, I HATE this dishwasher!! Isnt Viking supposed to be top-of-the-line?? This is not cutting the mustard--literally!! I have to SCRUBBB everything before putting it in & once cycle is finished, everything is still very wet. UGHHH! It goes through the motions & makes you think its cleaning, but really isnt. Plus, I didnt feel like I was getting pushed into something I didnt want. We had an issue when the first range showed up with some markings and scratches so we had to return it. The next one we got had a problem with the bottom right range igniting. Still, the range I got in the end works fine and looks good. It has four burners. It also has an open burner and I like the BTUs on it. I also like its low simmer feature.

My brother-in-law used to work for Miele and he was always thinking of it. But some of the restaurants that he worked in had Viking Ranges and I’ve always heard that Viking was a good product. I’ve always wanted one and since my husband is a gourmet chef, I bought it for him as a gift for this new house that we just remodeled on the lake. The range is at our vacation home and we don’t get out there as much as wed like, so I’ve only used it three times but I am in love with it. It’s nice and it’s a heavy-duty well-made product. Our contractor had it installed, and it was hands-off. The installers came and put it in. We fired it up when we came out the next time and everything worked great.

We recently built a new house and purchased a Viking range, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and wine refrigerator. In a short amount of time, we have had the refrigerator repaired four times - all involving issues with the ice maker and water dispenser. The dishwasher still works but the button that lights up when you push start does not. Apparently, that costs a couple of hundred dollars to repair. The wine refrigerator needed a new thermostat - that was a $400 repair. So far, we have not had any issues with the range or microwave. A Viking representative came out and repaired the refrigerator free of charge, but the other items were out of warranty (only 15 months old!). I have emailed customer support several times, but to no avail. I am a very, very unhappy and dissatisfied customer.

Ten years ago, we saw Viking ranges when we did some other kitchen. We had bought a Samsung Dual Fuel and it was a month-old when it broke, so we sent it back. They brought us another one and that one broke too, so we decided not to go to Samsung anymore. We went out to look for a stove and where we had just remodeled our bathroom, they had a kitchen display for all their kitchen wares and were moving showroom, so all their kitchen stuff were on sale. The Viking Range was 50% off. It was $6,000 but we got it for $3,000. We were looking for a stove, so why not? Ive only had it a couple of months, but I like it. However, Im not crazy about how I cant get it to simmer low enough, and the blue light that clicks off and on, so I dont really ever know when the ovens preheated. Theres no bell that dings and says that its ready, so Im constantly looking at that light to see if it has preheated, and I wish there was. Also, I miss my drawer in the bottom where I kept all my cookie sheets and stuff, and the Viking Range doesnt have it. We had to take our microwave out and get a downdraft, and that was a bummer. It wasnt really a Viking dealer who sold it to me. It was a Fergusons Plumbing lady who did. On the other hand, one thing I do like about it real well, is the way the telescopic tray pulls out in the center.

Viking had a large selection, a solid website and competitive pricing. Thats why weve chosen to use them. Unfortunately, I regret purchasing from a wholesale applianve store. I understood that because of COVID, the fridge took a very long time to arrive at our house. But from day one, the fridge never even worked. I contacted Appliances Connection and never heard an answer back. So I went through a technician who referred me to the Viking warranty technician in town. He came out and told me that the Viking fridge that I purchased had a manufacture date of somewhere in 2018. This was the fall of 2020 when I got the fridge. He also said that there was damage on the inside of it. He has replaced it and the fridge has been working fine since. But for about 90 days, I had a refrigerator in my kitchen that wouldnt get cold.I never got in touch with Appliances Connection ever. I had to go out on my own to find out who was the Viking warranty technician in town and that process was very pleasurable. Once I got hold of Viking Corporate, they resolved the issue very easily. Now that the fridge has been fixed by the warranty technician, nothing out of my pocket, everything has been great. Viking, as a company, has done a great job. Were enjoying the fridge and I love it. All the new technology is new and fun to us since my wife and I havent purchased a new fridge in probably a decade.

After multiple service calls to repair/replaced the igniters on our Viking Professional Range, we now keep a fire starter on the range top to ignite the burners. Two local service companies will not warranty either the Viking igniters or their repair/replacement because igniter parts are consistently defective if they are even available from Viking Parts. Viking Ranges will not return our calls. Nice range with chronically defective parts that are impossible to repair/replace. After more than $1,700 in igniter repair/replacement, dont expect to light my stove without a fire stick. Remember, most Viking sales people are painfully aware of the problem but totally avoid the issue before you purchase the range.

We purchased a gas stove and a microwave convection oven for above it a year ago. We had a disturbing trend with the microwave. Once in a blue moon, it makes noises like it wants to blow up. When we hit the microwave, it makes these sparking noises like theres an electrical circuit shortage and then it stops, then it keeps working. But for a second and a half, it gives us a heart attack. We had a service guy come out who is a certified Viking repair guy for Western Monmouth County in New Jersey. He told us in essence that sometimes particles of dirt get into the grates on the inside and they pop away when we first turn the thing on. Ive never heard of that before in my life and it makes my wife afraid to use it. We had it happen when it was empty, when it had a potato in it and with a paper plate with something on it. He said its normal, which if it is, then theres a design problem since weve had microwaves for 40 years and never ever had that happen. But other than that, we love the stove, especially in terms of its BTU, its ability to heat up quickly and cool down quickly. Its been just fine that way, so were very happy with that.

Viking under counter bar fridge, $2200 plus tax - Purchased from Trail Appliance Richmond British Columbia. I paid upfront in May 2011, and it was received in September 2011. I t was not working when plugged in (no freon), 2 visits from repair man, with wasted time in between, no efficiency. End results: the fridge has not external scratches or dents, the visual inside is perfect. But inside, the workings of the fridge were a complete mess. Oil has dripped into the evaporator pan. Oil has been pumped into the system; the whole inside has to be replaced. This was brand new, never used. Viking has said they are going to replace the whole inside. We requested that they replace but Viking refused and said this was their policy. I guess their policy doesnt cover customer satisfaction. We requested to talk to a manager, but Viking refused and obviously wants to hide complaints. So, here we are after having paid for the expensive piece of **, 10 months after, and the appliance is in the repair shop. Poor, poor unacceptable customer service by both the retailer (Trail Appliances in Richmond, B.C. Canada) and Viking Appliance service center in Seattle, WA. I was planning an outdoor kitchen build and was going to use Viking products - no way. Stay away from Viking products as they are expensive, poorly made, and Viking service is absolutely terrible with no customer service considerations.

This morning my Viking range turned on by itself. I researched and found that there is a voluntary recall by Viking for this exact problem, but when I called I was told that my model was not covered under the voluntary recall, so they would not send me the repair kit. Instead they told me to contact an authorized repair service. While in the phone with Viking, my oven turned on by itself four more times. My oven is now unplugged and we have disconnected the gas line. I am extremely nervous about this issue. My model is the 307 series. Covered under the recall is the 306 and 308 series, among others. Does this make sense? No. In addition to this problem, we have had to replace the glass seal, hinges and oven igniters. We also purchased a Viking microwave which broke within the first 13 months. Very unhappy. Should have purchased a Wolf.

What I liked about Viking was the unwavering quality but I dont think thats true anymore. The Viking appliances that I have that were supplied with the apartment are of a much lower quality than I had come to expect from them. Theyre only a couple of years old but Im not happy with them. Im very disappointed with Viking and Im looking to replace the appliances that I have. With the open burner range, it feels very rickety and I have to take it apart to clean it quite often. But Im fearful about cleaning it. Looking inside, there are these loose wires and I need to clean the inside very carefully for fear that I will dislodge some wire or something. Also, I have a dishwasher and a microwave that have failed and the refrigerator freezes milk but doesnt have even temperature regulation. They replaced the microwave fairly quickly but when the dishwasher broke, I was without a dishwasher for almost two months. Viking seems to be able to replace things, but they dont seem to be able to fix things.

We saved up and purchased our Viking Duel Fuel Professional 36 range in 2005. Within the first year, the igniters failed to light the burners. We were told by the local repair that it would cost $600-$800 to replace parts. We chose to manually light the burners which we have now been doing for six years. Another part that failed within the first couple of years of owning the range was the relay switch. We smelled an electrical fire smell and discovered the switch that had fired and replaced it ourselves. The switch failed again last summer and a Viking Pro Service replaced it at the cost of $169.00. Now, two weeks before Christmas with all the holiday baking looming, my Viking Professional Range is failing again. Two more relay switches have repeatedly burned leaving the conclusion that there is something wrong in the wiring or electrical. I cant believe the troubles and cost that this expensive range has caused.

UPDATED 12/11/2020: Ive had an appliance repair person to the house 5 times since then and the cooktop is still having issues. Good luck getting a return call from Viking Customer Service. It took 3 calls (with messages left) to get a call back the last time. I just left another message today. The repairman left after replacing the burner plate and was sent a faulty switch by Viking so its still not working. Never again will I purchase a Viking appliance. I tried to buy American and help out my fellow Americans, but its no good. I dont know what happened to this company. Id always heard good things about them. We have a Viking double oven and a Viking microwave as well. NEVER again.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I purchased the 30 Induction Cooktop in April 2020. Model (VICU53014BST). Honestly we loved the way it works; boils water in less than 1 minute and cooks evenly. 2 months in, 2 of the 4 burners stopped working. Had the dealer/repair company come out and they determined it was the generator board ($2800). Its covered under warranty for 2 years, so we just have to wait. They ordered the new generator board, got it in, and came out to install it. It was defective. Its been 5 days and we havent heard anything. I called Viking and they said I just had to wait for the repair company. My disappointment is that we paid over $4000 for a cooktop thats worked about 2 months, and then we got a defective repair part. I expected much better from Viking. I wanted to write this review to let those who are considering this brand to know what to expect. Im not sure I would buy a Viking again. Their response was very poor and very un-empathetic.

Well, it’s been fixed and it has broken in the same exact way with the same pieces breaking 3 other times!. We paid a lot of money for our Viking appliances, expecting a superior product. To be honest, viking products are GARBAGE! GO ELSEWHERE! We’ve had nothing but headaches. It is extremely disappointing and aggravating. And Viking customer service is non existent and not at all helpful. Do not buy a Viking appliance!

We were remodeling our kitchen and we wanted to upgrade all of our appliances so we did get Viking for everything. However, the refrigeration portion was faulty so we called our warranty and they did replace it. Its now working fine but thats not expected when you spend that much money on a refrigerator. It was a bit disappointing. For a week, we had to figure out how we were going to store food. We ended up having two technicians come out because they didnt communicate. It was a bit of a mess but its over and Im glad.

One of the burners of my Viking range doesnt light all the time but its also 10 years old so thats somewhat understandable. It seems like its good quality. The most important thing to me is that it will kind of last. We had a new $8000 refrigerator from Viking. Over 5 years we had it repaired 18 times. The refrigerator was recalled so Viking charged us half price for a new one about 8 months ago. This evening - all of the food in the freezer is now thawed out. The refrigerator is not getting cold. Youve got to be kidding. Even the replacement of the recalled refrigerator isnt working now after 8 months. We have an old GE refrigerator out in the garage that weve had for 16 years and it still works perfectly with no repairs in 16 years. So tell me, what is better, the EXPENSIVE OVERPRICED 8-MONTH-OLD VIKING - OR 16-YEAR-OLD G.E. that has never needed repair?

We had purchased a Viking range and dishwasher about four years ago. We had a commercial refrigerator but didn’t know that Viking had refrigeration at that time. We got rid of the commercial one and I looked up Viking and found this refrigerator. I love the lighting in the refrigerator. Ive also never had a freezer on the bottom. I don’t get into the freezer nearly as much as the refrigerator so I love that feature because I dont have to bend down to get into a crisper. The space in it is amazing. Ive had the side-by-side where the freezer is on one side and the refrigerator is on the other and theyre just wasted space. This French door is very easy to clean, too. I take a soft-butt towel and use a microfiber towel to dry it and Ive got the surface cleaned in two minutes. We had been with Sears for years for our appliances. Weve been in our house for 24 years so this is our second round of appliances now. We had 10 more brands and I wanted something on a higher end. It took me six months to pick something up because I read reviews and Viking had great ones. We decided to switch to Viking for our kitchen appliances just from appearance and reviews. The downside was there wasn’t a store near us where we could go in and put our hands on the product so we ordered through a store that was an hour drive from us. But, their customer service is great. The first dealer that we contacted was closer to us but they werent as willing to help us over the phone as far as measurements because we were going from an electric to a gas range. We ended up in the Silt. Their staff did all the measurements and how the gas line had to be in. He went above and beyond over the phone and worked with my husband on it. Then, they delivered, set up and tested everything. It was a good experience.

We bought this range 10 years ago, brand new for $6000. We have had it repaired by Viking authorized dealers 4 times over the years for $500 each time. All problems were electric failures. I wrote to Viking the first time it broke, (on Thanksgiving no less), after owning it for 18 months, and they never responded. They have poor customer service and do not stand behind what they sell. Our range has broken again and were done with it. Well be selling it on offer up. I would advise never buying a Viking product.

I like the Viking refrigerator. Its smaller than what we had before, but it seems to perform well. It has drawers for vegetables and other things. They also have a drawer that keeps temperature at specific temps. It has a separate kind of a cooling system connected to it. We sometimes wish that the freezer was a little bit larger though.

The refrigerator appeared to be nicely made, and it had a very nice exterior finish and design. It also had a good price point relative to other built-in fridges and a very nice incentive plan in effect when we made the purchase. I went from a freezer combo to this 42-inch side-by-side refrigerator. I love opening a smaller door whenever I go into the refrigerator. I really like the interior lighting and the space at the very bottom which allows you to put in a full pizza pie or deep-dish thing in there. Even though its a very shallow fridge, its got a fairly open spot at the very bottom, which I like a lot. All the bins seem to be very nicely made. Im pretty happy with the fridge. The only issue I have with the freezer is that the cold air from the freezer compartment coming into the refrigerator comes in at one spot at the top. So things next to that will have a tendency to freeze, especially if something warm is put somewhere else in the fridge.I bought the Viking refrigerator from Best Buy and they were helpful. They had difficulties in the delivery mostly because of supply shortages and also in terms of getting here in the time frame that my association allows. The biggest issue I had was that they didnt install the refrigerator properly. They never screwed it in. They left about a 3/4-inch gap above the fridge in the cabinets. I went online and figured out how to jack it up, which I did, and leveled it and screwed it in. So all looks great now. But I did most of the installation myself because the guys didnt know how to do it. It didnt bother me that much because I didnt pay a separate installation fee. But it would have been more helpful if they told me the truth that they arent gonna install it and I should hire someone to do it.

My wife knew about the name Viking and saw it in the stores when we were looking for refrigerators that had a reputable name. However, the Viking refrigerator we have makes a vibrating noise all the time and thats very annoying. They had people come out here twice and there was nothing they could do about it. One person from their support group said that its a manufacturing problem and that theres nothing they could do about it. He said its not a Viking problem and it doesnt make sense to me. I asked him if theres someone else I could contact and he said no. That was very discouraging. I finally tried on my own to find somebody high up, but I couldnt get it. Nevertheless, the refrigerator itself is nice. It has a lot of room and it works well.

My Viking range cooks great and very fast, too. Its a beautiful appliance however, I don’t believe theres a timer on this thing to time anything. I don’t like the fact that when I turn on the oven, theres a blue light that comes on but theres no signal that says when its gotten to the proper heat where the blue light goes out. And I have to be basically sitting on top of it to know the proper heat. Ive had other ovens that will beep when they’ve hit the right temperature. The other thing I don’t like is the ergonomics of it because I have to bend over to read the dials to see where theyre at because my particular range has a little bit of an overhang to it and the dials are underneath it. That’s a very minor thing but an important one to me.

The company that brought the fridge out did a fantastic job. We like the lights inside which are really bright. Its also a lot quieter than the old Viking we had. We live in a rural area fifteen minutes from the Interstate freeway. Five years ago we purchased an integrated Viking dishwasher for top of the line bucks. It took Viking five service calls to get it running and it has performed flawlessly until now. So we call local appliance dealers and none of them service Viking. We call Viking and they tell us there is no local factory authorized service. However, they give us names of repair services who should be able to help us. All but one refuse telling us they have problems dealing with Viking and therefore servicing their products. The only one who would deal with the situation tells us the main circuit board is shot and the minimum charge for the service call will be around $1,100 to change out the $250.00 part due to travel time. We are about a one hour drive from Medford, Oregon. We are replacing a perfectly good machine to the tune of $1,200.00! Viking sucks!!!

I like that Vikings interior was metal and not plastic. Its a beautiful 42 inch brand new fridge but my experience with it has been sucky. The ice maker didnt work. It would make one layer and then it would stop. It took three trips from the repairman to fix it and it was frustrating. They came here once and couldnt figure it out. They brought a new ice maker and put it in. It still didnt work. I had to call again and they told me stupid things to do like turning down the freezer, but it was already at minus one. How the hell low do they want me to make the freezer? Then they changed the ice maker again. It is now fixed and doing good but Im worried that its gonna go out of warranty if it breaks again. Viking, you SUCK. 3+ months with a $3,000+ fridge that was delivered broken and all the local warranty reps you outsource to are saying is Viking switched its distributor two times so you will have to wait longer? How about some lemon laws here. I called Viking directly and the brain dead receptionists can not get me to the right person. Why? Because they cant fathom why someone with a California phone number lives in Texas. Gee, if you want to be elite Viking, you might want to consider that your customers have multiple homes in other areas. I regret buying a Viking Dishwasher (POS does not even have heated dry), Viking Range (delivered broken), Viking Microwave (over priced Kitchen Aid) and Viking D3 Fridge (Broken on Delivery). I have yet to get a customer service rep to call me back. No one is empowered to make a decision. I will be buying Wolf/SubZero next time.

We purchased a Viking Gas Range this summer for our kitchen renovation. We were excited about our purchase as we had saved up for this particular gas range. After install, we have been less than impressed. When preheating, the gas oven makes a very loud bang! (As if metal is expanding inside.) It scares me every time I hear it, even though I know its coming. When I called customer service, I was told once that it was normal and a second time, I was put on hold for 20 + minutes, only to hang up because I didnt feel my concern was being valued. We also smell a very strong smell of gas or exhaust when the gas oven is on.My concern is that the loud bang and smell of gas/exhaust should not be present in an appliance that is so expensive. We expected higher quality when we made this purchase. Ive tried calling customer service and entering a claim on the website (which seems to be permanently down and unable to accept claims online). I want to be in love with this purchase, but Im not. In fact, I feel a little uneasy using the gas oven due to the experience Ive had so far.

Would NOT recommend to anyone a Viking dishwasher... Purchased Viking products for newly constructed home 2 years ago. Because it had the Viking name I thought it was a trusted brand. Lesson learned big time to do the homework prior to a purchase. My Viking dishwasher mirrors the innumerable complaints in this thread... Its loud, cycle lasts 3-4 hours (absurd), never dries OR cleans completely... and also has a funny smell. I must also mention the design internally... machines priced at 1K less are more functional and hold more.ONE MONTH AGO as I started washer it made a grinding noise. I located authorized dealer that handles Viking appliances still under warranty (mind you Houston 4th largest city in US and they have one (1) authorized dealer for entire city). It took one (1) week to get an initial appointment - tech arrived week two (2) diagnosed problem, drain pump broken and placed order for new part. Week three (3) I was phoned by authorized dealer and told part SHOULD arrive week five (5) and only given a TENTATIVE timeline as to when to expect tech to return. Needless to say I am not a happy camper, and it should not take over 5 weeks to service a dishwasher. More expensive is NOT always better and VIKING is a perfect example. My advice: DON’T BUY VIKING - do your research!!!

I previously owned a Viking when we remodeled my kitchen. I really liked the product, but not this time around. Everything that weve ordered, theres been something wrong with it. It took us six to eight months just to receive the product because it was on back order. And then when we received it, it was damaged. We had to deal with the company we bought it from going back and forth, and it took another four months to get the replacement. They kept pushing the buck. I kept getting transferred, making calls and I wouldn’t get a callback. It was poor customer service. I love the older Viking, but I dont like the new one. Its not the same quality. My old range was great to cook on and bake on. The one I have now sometimes turns on, and sometimes it doesnt. Also, my refrigerator has been down since before Christmas and the parts have not come. I had to throw all my groceries away. So, Ive had nothing but bad luck. I just finished talking to Viking yesterday to find out how soon I can get my stuff, and the gal was very nice and helpful. We purchased a Viking Range and Microwave 5 years ago and we believed it would be a wise choice but it was anything but. The quality was poor. The oven door never closed right and the oven light stayed on all the time. And after many complaints we finally had to have service to change the hinges that never worked right. The bill for that was $600 and the electric oven takes way too long to heat up and the thermostat had to be changed twice. The microwave just failed and that is costing $400 to fix. I will never recommend Viking or the dealer Pacific Sales in So Cal to anyone, dont waste your money on Viking. They are not the company of the past and the quality and durability is no longer there, as for Pacific Sales after they take your money they are no longer interested in satisfying their customers needs. I wanted to pair up all my products with the same thing. I was choosing from Viking, Wolf, and Sub-Zero, and it was a comparison between them. We chose Viking over the Sub-Zero line cause Sub-Zero has a dishwashing machine that has an interior that I wasnt completely satisfied with. In addition, Viking should also make a wine fridge so that my entire houses appliances would be a Viking. I have their range, the hood, and the dishwasher cause thats pretty much the only appliances that they offer. The range is good, but its burner tends to leave a lot of watermarks which is like a darkening stain. And for whatever price Im paying for them, it shouldnt be something like that. The appearance on the burner of a Viking should have been a little cleaner. The main effect that just blows me off. No matter how much I do, it looks like its dirty but its not. From my experience, I have heard of lots of people telling its gonna do that, and I already knew about it before I bought the product. I even asked the person where I picked it if there was any way to prevent it. I was told Ive got to replace it. I called Viking up and replaced the little lid. But the main thing is that it heats up all my food and I love that its flame. Its so powerful that everything just heats up twice as fast compared to a regular Sears product that I would have bought. I have a close relative that owns the Wolf line of the same exact products that I have from Viking, and I have used their products before I bought the Viking products. The Viking does everything like a commercial grade appliance would do but its not commercial grade so it does the effect for our household, in general. And it does work 20% faster with me cooking on a Viking than on a Wolf. But at the same time, the Wolf that I used was three years older than the newer series that most probably came out with the changes that they have. As for the dishwasher, its great and it matches all my appliances but I wish it was more fancy enough. If I have to pick a dishwasher all over again, I would have gone with Sub-Zero. Even though I didnt like the interior much, it is a little bit nicer in the features that Ive seen on the newer ones. Other than that, everything else seems fine and well-warrantied.

My dishwasher was recalled due to fire hazard. It stopped working. They would NOT fix it for free. Then silverware basket fell apart with very little use. I called Viking in Concord, CA and spoke to a woman who works for Viking. She said she could order a replacement silverware basket for my tenant (The house and dishwasher is hundreds of miles away so I had no idea of its size.). I paid for the basket and was told it would arrive in 3 weeks. After two MONTHS, it had not arrived, per tenant. I called the appliance store and they called the lady in Concord and she said it had been shipped out twice. However, this proved not to be the case at all. When I spoke to her, she said that due to the fact that the dishwasher was 4 years old and discontinued, she couldnt find any baskets. She had none available and had made no progress in finding me one. She never once bothered to contact me, or the store for two months to inform of us of the situation. She could not give me the size or any helpful information so I could search for it myself. I went out online and found a website that locates parts and I had one ordered in 5 minutes. We bought a Viking fridge and separate freezer in 2006 when we remodeled our home because they replaced SubZero products and fit into the spaces perfectly. We assumed when you pay for top end products, you get top end products. Instead, we have become used to the freezer leaking onto the floor and a sheet of ice on the bottom shelf. Meanwhile, our fridge has begun acting up and is unable to regulate its temperature. We have been getting up in the middle of the night every night to turn off the alarm and have been dealing with frozen fruit and slushy milk. We called a repairman out who told us the door hinge needs replacing and the door doesnt shut properly, so a couple of sensors now also need replacing. We are facing a $1300 bill for that alone, and also have to pay an installer to come out and re-level the fridge. Because we have a malfunctioning fridge and are trying to operate in a family home, this is an urgent repair for us. Today we found out the parts are backordered and it will be up to six weeks before they arrive. How is a family supposed to manage for six weeks without a properly functioning fridge???We were also told the water lines to the freezer are frozen up and we need to turn the freezer off for two days and defrost it. What exactly we are supposed to do with a freezer full of food during this process seems to be our problem. We read some of these reviews while trying to troubleshoot our own issues and hoped we would not end up adding a review to this site, but sadly, you can add us to the list of disgruntled Viking owners who are wondering exactly what they paid for when they bought top of the line appliances and ended up with an unreliable money pit instead. I will think long and hard before spending another penny on Viking products again.

We’ve had our old Viking Range for at least 14 years. We did some comparisons this time but still ended up with Viking because of our past ownership. The quality of the new range is top-notch and it has the ability to do the low simmer on the burners, which is really nice. In the oven, the slide rails are really nice, for the racks, too. The Viking dealer was terrific, knowledgeable and very nice and we had done a lot of background research so we didn’t really have many questions for them. However, we had a problem with the oven igniter so we called them back and they had somebody out to fix it the very day that I called. They were completely supportive.I love the burners and the oven itself and I’m getting used to using convection. The old oven didn’t have convection so I’m playing around with temperatures. I really like the new ranges quality and some of the features but there could be some improvements. One of those is the oven fan runs for a really long time after I turn the oven off and it is annoying to have that constant fan there. The oven window and the oven light are really miserable. There might be better ovens out there, in terms of the oven light, oven window, and that annoying fan. But other than that, it’s really nice and sure is pretty.

I owned a 4-burner Viking range back in 2005 and they were good. When we built our house, we tossed back and forth with other ranges. But we went with Viking once again. I couldnt settle for something else and it seemed like I was settling if I got something different. I like the different top for the broiler. We use it daily and were very happy.

We purchased a 30 inch Viking Gas Range about 5 years ago and were so impressed with it we bought their dishwasher 2 years later. What a mistake. The dishwasher was very quiet and we did not realize the pump was running continuously. The electric bill soared and we finally realized it was running. I called Viking to find local service and they tried to send me to a repair service about 100 miles from where I live. When we found the local authorized repair service they pulled it out and found a very small moisture sensor in the bottom tray under the dishwasher was to blame. The repairman could not get any information on when Viking could send the part. When I followed up directly with Viking parts, I was told they would get back to me, but never did. I was eventually told by Vikings authorized repairman to throw it out. $2,400 for a 3 year old dishwasher and it was useless. I replaced it with a Bosch. Now it is the gas range. The oven wont light, the burners wont light first time and the grill goes out. We replaced the electronic thermostat ($378) and it initially worked, but has now reverted to pumping gas into the house without ignition or resignation if we manage to get it going. Viking neither stands behind their products nor have a value even close to their costs. They could give these things away free and they would not be worth the risk to life.

I’ve seen Viking Ranges around, and Ive seen them evolve into a more sophisticated product than they were originally. They are robust, close to commercial in quality and performance, but have the benefit of being thoughtful of a residential home. They have convection, high heat, and different things one might want, like a broiler and a griddle, and you may or may not want it. And they have stood the test of time. I had a Garland for 25 years. It was commercial and rugged, but it didnt keep up.The reps were not knowledgeable at the store that I bought it at. But they were not unfriendly. I came prepared, having done my homework. And I felt a little rushed. But too bad for me, you have to have tough feelings. I had an insurance plan and something went wrong. And the insurance wasnt the easiest thing to work out. It was hard to get them and to get help. That was a little slippery. The irony of it all is my electrician rewired the kitchen and they had switched the neutral. The stove knew it, and was misbehaving, and we thought it was the stove. The people in Brooklyn who fixed it, top shelf. They could have told me anything. They diagnosed the truth. “You got the wrong polarity, fix it”. We fixed it, but the stove was never broken. That is more important to me than the sales people by a mile. Viking has excellent factory trained technicians. Love that. The reason I bought the Viking was it has a smart sensor. If the flame went out, it knew, and it lighted it. I was stunned at that. It may have been around a long time, but I didnt know about it. So it has everything I’ve seen in lots of places, but it has a smart technology that is lifesaving. It’s fantastic. The caveat is weve had it a few years. The quality is good, and the performance is excellent. We rattle the doors, turn the knobs and spill things just like anybody else. And so far, its just humming along. I would recommend that stove in a heartbeat. And this is a person who had a Garland for a long time.

We bought the freezer and refrigerator from Viking 12 years ago. The freezer is still doing great but the refrigerator went out. It would freeze up, and one of the default wires were loose. We hooked it up and then it had another problem. When I called in with problems, they were good about helping to get somebody to look at it. I had two different Viking certified people come out to work on it and they took it quickly apart, defrost it totally and then put it back together and say my drip pan wasnt lined up properly. Both times someone came it cost me $800 each and the second time I decided to just replace it because itll be cheaper in the long run. When I got the new one, the door seal on it would not seal. We travel a lot and we come back home and see that there would be rust inside our brand-new refrigerator. It took three times to get somebody to figure out the problem and fix it and had it slamming shut. Were loving it now. It’s great. The new lighting is so bright and pretty and I really like it. The fridge isnt pretty when you open it up and you see this $9,000 refrigerator with rust inside it, but its still a good deal.

Ive had a Viking stove for the past 10 years and I was pretty pleased with the product. And I bought a Viking dishwasher because my old dishwasher, that was approximately over 20 years old, went. So, when my built-in refrigerator went as well, I got a Viking refrigerator because I said, Im just gonna get a Viking. Everything else is Viking. I got my Viking refrigerator through P. C. Richard. In fact, I bought pretty much all my appliances through them and theyve been pretty good.I love my Viking refrigerator. Its roomy and holds a lot. So far, its a great product, so Im happy. I like the fact that the lighting is wonderful. You can see everything thats in it. In addition, I like the way that they have the drawers stacked. I have extra room to put other things in that I couldnt do with my other refrigerator because I had a side-by-side refrigerator then. So, if I had a wide tray, I could never fit it in that other refrigerator. But this one holds everything beautifully. The freezer is a little small, though. It holds a little less than my other refrigerator did but thats okay.

My wife had heard about Viking Ranges for years through word of mouth and she had always wanted one. We liked the fact that Viking had six top burners and a fairly good sized oven. We liked the professional quality of the range itself and we’re very satisfied. Purchasing it was quite a pleasurable experience. We had a very knowledgeable sales lady. She showed us several models and we selected one. She was helpful too in getting it purchased and delivered. The Viking range is a very nice product and we would definitely recommend it.

The techs came in and had to replace the whole shelf because they noticed that it wasn’t glued in from the factory. It came apart. The middle shelf that we had to have repaired that had the deli drawers in it isnt stable enough to put heavy items on it. And there is no other place to put heavy items on it. There should have been a middle bracket in the middle to support it against the back of the refrigerator. The new half freezer and half refrigerator is something new to me. I feel like it’s small. But the product is fine.

I have Viking in other homes, and this time, they were running a rebate which was a considerable amount of money. Also, Viking was acquired by another company and word on the street was their quality issues had been fixed. I also looked at Wolf and Thermador and read horrendous reviews about them, but they’re great products too. Ultimately the price point made the big difference for me and I bought a range from Viking. The qualitys pretty good. Upon unboxing and installation, there were two burners that were inoperable so that was not a good start. I then got a service call in and haven’t heard anything from them and it’s been two weeks. But I have been able to use it. I like the rapid heat oven which is very nice. I also like the true convection oven portion of it. It has three different convection modes, but the true conduct is very nice. And the overall appearance was very sharp. The dealer was good too. I did most of my research online and I have a rep that I used. I simply called him and said, “Order it.” Its a great product, well-made craftsmanship, and a value in the realm of high end, other than the burners. But I thought that may have been a shipping issue.

We purchased a full Viking Professional Kitchen - range, refrigerator, microwave oven, dish washer, hood. We have had at least one issue with everything (except the hood). We spent about $22,000 on appliances that are supposed to be high-end. What an absolute joke. My neighbor also has Viking appliances, same issues. I heard about Viking 15 years ago but I just was able to afford a Viking a couple of months ago. I love the way the stove looks with the legs, which is what I love the most about them and then, I love the way it cooks. It makes my food taste different and it cooks faster. I always heard that Viking was top-of-the-line, which was what I wanted, and that made me purchase it. My range has been magnificent. I wouldnt buy no other stove but Viking. But the purchasing process was horrible. Had I known that I could have dealt with Viking myself, I would have gone straight through them. The delivery people were unprofessional. They said that they were gonna take my stove back if I didn’t pay them $300 for the hook-up service. I called my husband and he was so upset because we had already given them $6,500. They said it wasnt in what I paid. He told me I needed to pay them in cash. So, it was a gimmick. My husband said that we were not gonna do business with them and told me to go upstairs, get the money and give it to them so they could get out. And that was what I did. I called AJ Madison, the people I purchased it from, but I would never do business with them ever again. I would never recommend anybody to them. They should not even be selling Viking products. Still, when somebody from Viking came to my house because one of my eyes wasn’t lighting, he walked me through everything and told me what I needed to do. He was excellent. I loved that guy and I could have kept him.

We saw the Viking range at Ferguson and there was a cardboard on display when we bought it that said that there was a temperature probe but Viking has discontinued that and didn’t think it was a good idea to update their literature. Even on the literature with the new unit that we got, it was still mentioning that same thing but we can’t use it because there’s no connection for it. And that is not acceptable. We bought the unit because we wanna have something that we could check the temperature of what’s cooking in the oven with and now we don’t have anything. I’ve asked them to get back on me and the representative for the area here hasn’t yet. I need to have a way to get temperatures inside the oven and I was expecting to have what I paid for or what was on the information that was on the oven. Then, we had a unit that was defective when we got it so we got that returned. The new unit seems to function better. When we’re cooking, it has enough power, which is good. We like the 23,000 BTU burners. The center, when we can get it enough to click on most of the burners, is good and that works well. The broil works really well in the oven but the bake doesn’t work really well. And the convection seems to be working okay, although we haven’t figured out the differences yet of the true con and the regular con.But we are still having issues with the burners, which click at low intensity when you have a hot pan and so on. The response I got from one tech was that the gas pressure was not okay, which is not true, and it is not due to the pressure line. I talked about it with the person that came in and installed the line. We put a new pressure regulator and so on because of the new line that we had to build in for this and that is working fine. We’re also having issues with the bake mode where the top element seems to be heating way too much than what would be expected. We can’t put anything on the top or close the top shelves because otherwise, everything burns on bake where we don’t mean to use convection. We were hoping that there would be an adjustment that can decrease the temperature on the top element on the bake. No one came back to us on that. We’re still waiting for these things. Also, when we got the unit, the convection fan was loosened during transportation. When we started the convection, the convection would rattle like its helix was touching metal or whatever. The tech took the housing off and tightened up the convection fan screws. That took care of that and it hasn’t happened since the technician came. The unit is beautiful when you buy it but as soon as we start using it, the copper pots of the burners are extremely difficult to clean. As soon as something falls on it, it kinda stains. We’ve tried all the tricks that they have in their manual including the ammonia and some salt but that still leaves stains. Also, the base of the burners is already coming off after we cleaned them three times and that also was a big disappointment. The choice of the material to cover this is probably not the best. We bought this semi-commercial unit because we cook a lot and the durability is not what I expected for $12,000. The people that we bought it at advised us against buying it because of the issue that they had. And we went away and bought it because we figured Viking has been trying to face these problems for some years and they must have seen the problems. But they clearly haven’t.

My wife and I purchased a Viking 36, four Burners, approximately 18 years ago. The range worked fine for most of the years. Recently the oven door started giving us problems, door would come off its clips, as it turns out the clips on the sides of the inner oven door are no longer manufactured. The oven door for this model is no longer manufactured. In short, we have a range that does not have a door. When you pay $5000.00 for a product, this should not be a large companys response. I went to Best Buy and bought a Viking range because I like the style and the large size burner. There was a big one in the middle which was exactly what I needed. But Im not having a good experience because I would have liked to have a product that is working, not a product that comes to our house damaged. I couldnt use the range after the installation because I was remodeling my house and then a few days after I finally turned it on a person from the gas company helped me because the burners were not working. Its been six months now that Ive been trying to solve this problem. I went back to Best Buy and talked to the manager and the second manager. They said theyre going to contact the service center but two months ago I was so disappointed and upset. I told them if they dont solve the problem or give me the solution I would return the item. After that they put me in contact of the service company. They said they would call me in three days and I waited. But then I had to travel for one and a half month and even until I came back they have never called me. I called again last week and they finally set up an appointment to solve the problem. So Im waiting and Im hoping that I dont have any more problem with the other Viking items. I am really disappointed I decided to buy. I knew somebody who had the product and had a problem with the service and I didnt listen so I am now having a problem.

Viking Range was fined for ranges that turn on by themselves (article dated 4/17/17) for 15 models sold between 2007 & 2014. We have a Viking Range that was purchased in 2017 when our home was under construction. 11/9/19 the oven ignited by itself in the middle of the night; our fire alarm went off & woke us. The house was filled with smoke; we have to flip the circuit breaker to turn the oven off. It was super-heated & left marks on our brick backsplash. It also melted the igniter & safety features of the oven, as well as the mechanisms for the sliding racks. Clearly, Viking has not remedied the faulty part issues that caused this.I called them & their blanket answer is thats not one of the recall ranges, albeit the exact circumstances around the previous problem were evident. The specialist that serviced the oven said it looked exactly like the previous problems, although the part in the oven read as the updated version. The customer service rep stated to send her the service notes & shed forward to management, but didnt think repair would be covered (for new racks and the melted parts due to their faulty parts = $1,600) because the range was not under recall. For $14,000, youd expect better response, customer service, and quality out of a product.

We like the price and quality of Viking. Their salesperson was great, too. However, we had some issues with delivery where some of the product was damaged. The microwave was damaged twice, but they replaced it. And the quality of the Viking range is great. We bought an extended warranty which we havent used yet. The one knob on the range currently sticks. But we havent called to have it checked out yet. But the range works well. I also like the shelf inside the range that slides out and in, and that the stove heats up so good that I can save dollars for the heat. We were so used to Kenmore products where I had to keep everything wide open to cook. Viking range is super. I couldnt ask for anything better. We also bought one of their first refrigerators. But the refrigerator we bought hadn’t been manufactured yet, so we had to wait about a month before we got our refrigerator.

We got a stove and some other appliances. The stove, we had issue with. Its a gas stove. The proper gas nozzle apertures were requested when we ordered it but they were not sent. And there were some issues between our local dealer getting that correct nozzle. That took time. And during the installation, the installers broke a piece of the stove or the oven. And it took two times to get the correct part. They got it the first time and they installed it, and the local people who were our installers and our repairer as well, said, “This isnt right.” So it went back to Viking. We talked to somebody. Got it right. And same thing with those nozzles. It wasnt done correct the first time. I dont know where that issue lies, if it was with our local person not being able to articulate what was properly needed, or Viking not understanding or sending the wrong piece altogether. We chose Viking for several reasons. The aesthetics of it, how it looks, the way it would fit into our kitchen, the design, and its reliability, that it was a very good brand. I like how, when we open the doors, they feel substantial. Most refrigerator and freezer doors, you open them, they feel lightweight and not put together well. The Viking, when you open it up, that door is heavy. Its not heavy like I cant open it. But it feels very substantial, that I have something there that would hold up and done well.

We liked the Viking brand name and the look of their products. So, we redid our whole kitchen with all Viking and got their products through a dealer. Our Viking range is good and powerful but it is so much stronger than what I was used to, so I burned a pot early on. That has been a learning curve for me and I dont know if that’s in the materials because it’s sort of overwhelming when you get all new appliances and unpack from a renovation. That might be my fault but that could be somehow highlighted for other people. Also, there was a problem with the ranges starter from the beginning so I had to have that repaired. One of the grate panels rusted, too and it was replaced. But the black on the replacement is a little different though and it doesn’t match the others if you look at it. Plus, a little piece fell off of one of the grates and I still have to glue it. I paid for it and Viking was supposed to send us two pieces of that but they sent only one. I also find it difficult to clean or get stuff off the stove top, although I try to not worry about it as much. That has been a bit of a learning curve as well. We have the Viking range for a little over two years so far and I don’t think that these problems should have happened. That is not what I would expect.

I like to cook and I wanted a gas range. Initially, I looked at the Wolf one which was a very nice range but the Viking range was less expensive. Plus, my best friend Jody has a Viking range and she likes hers so that was good. It fit in my space as well so it was economical and it was still an upper-end range. Its been installed for about two months but Ive only used it three times now for various reasons. It takes a very long time to heat up to temperature so that I can start cooking. And the other day, I was cooking and I was wondering whether it runs or goes off when it is at temperature. I still cant figure it out and I have to get used to it so its not confusing. However, the installation was dicey from the beginning and that was frustrating to me. I was under the impression he was a Viking installer who knew how to install Viking products, but he wasn’t and it was a nightmare. I also got the convection microwave hood and the installer separated the bottom of the microwave to shove the deflector between the bottom plate and the microwave. The deflector and screw were falling off of my microwave. It was leveled left to right but it wasnt leveled front to back and it was tilting so far forward that things were rolling out of the microwave. I asked him if he can put something behind it to support the whole thing. He got sassy and said that it’s an older house and that happens.I called Viking about it and talked to five different people. The first gentleman was so kind and said he was sorry. The first young lady I got after him was also really great. Then I got to talk to the next rep when it came to having to arrange having to arrange to have somebody to come out, I was told that I could pay somebody to come out and look at it because they dont do installations. They also said that they don’t train people to do the installations and that the instructions are online. So I should look online to see how to install my Viking range and microwave myself and tell the installers how to install it? I dont think so. Theyre not even typical stick it in and plug it in products. It didnt make sense to me that they’re all behind quality and made in America but they don’t train people to install their products. And when they’re not installed properly, its not covered by warranty. If they dont train their people to install their products then they dont have to be responsible for the warranty. Its bad business. Also, when I asked them to give me a name of anybody who can install the appliances, they told me that they can’t recommend anybody. The only thing that Viking would cover was if something was wrong with the products under warranty. So Viking has repair people but they can’t recommend anybody to do the installations. Its a stupid system.I went around and around with these people and I was very upset and distressed. In fact, I told them that Im an unhappy customer with nearly $18,000 worth of appliances sitting here that I cant use because Viking doesnt care that they’re in working order so I can enjoy them. Then, they said they could send somebody out and but it’s $100 an hour and since I dont live near any place where they keep anybody, I have to pay a trip charge. But it already cost me $430 to get the products installed and they weren’t installed properly. I was also told to call Best Buy instead because that’s where I bought the appliances and theyre the ones who are going to care if the products are installed since its their reputation. I never received a letter from Viking and I would have also appreciated if somebody would call me instead of me leaving voicemails for people to call me back. So I have this beautiful convection microwave and this Viking range that I have to wait four weeks for somebody to come out and look at them. Im not impressed with Viking’s service and I’m extremely dissatisfied with my experience. I’m also very unhappy with the way I was treated and the attitude of their reps. Then, now that the range is under a year, Viking came and took a look at it, only to find out that the knobs are not even on the right place on the stove. Thats why it still was not working. I’m done with Viking and I would not recommend them to anybody.

We bought a house that needed to be updated and remodeled. We decided that the one thing we would splurge on was kitchen appliances. We purchased a range, hood, and dishwasher from Viking. From the moment we began the install, we were disappointed at every turn. For starters, the company sent the wrong metal bracket that attaches to the underside of the hood where the exhaust pipe attaches. It took them THREE MONTHS and three tries to send the right piece! The woman who answered the phone at Viking was useless and it took my husband days to of calling to get someone who could answer questions on the other end of the phone. When they sent the first replacement piece, we called the installer and had to pay him even though he couldnt finish the install because it was the wrong piece. When the right part finally arrived we had to take the hood down and start all over again. The customer support? As far as Im concerned it was nearly nonexistent. The oven itself doesnt seem to be regulated properly. On a 350 degree setting, baked goods bake too fast or burn. Im 62 and Ive baked all my life. Its not me, its the oven. And trying to slowly simmer on the stove-top? FORGET IT! Everything boils away. The dishwasher is another story. It was part of a package deal and now I know why they were practically giving it away. I have two college degrees and I cant make this thing operate properly. No matter what I press when I open it after a cycle everything is wet. The other night my husband started the cycle before we went to bed. When I woke up in the morning it was STILL RUNNING. I am so disillusioned with the products but even more so with the VIKING Company itself. I would never recommend this company to anyone. AT these prices one would expect consumer service to be stellar. Instead I felt as if they resented our calls. SHAME ON YOU VIKING. I was so happy when the appliances arrived. Now Im thinking of selling them.

We were deciding on Wolf and Viking, but we chose Viking because of the reputation, quality, and the offers they put in there at Best Buy. Those made it easy for us to make a decision. The sales reps were very great and knowledgeable. They knew what they were doing and gave us so much options. I love the range. However, Ive never used the griddle yet because I need to clean first and make it shiny but there were still some residue coming up. Other than that, anybody can go closing their eyes and they can buy the Viking. Its very good quality-wise.

How can it be? We thought made in America, we would get great quality. What a disappointment. The kitchen was remodeled 5 years ago. This past month, we had problems with both Viking products, the Viking range VGIC3676BS and the refrigerator. We are now out of Viking warranty. The NSI insurance for these products is a nightmare to deal with - a waste of money. They give you the runaround. The Viking range oven just stopped working, we think it is the igniter. It does not matter that when you call Mississippi, they speak to you with their Southern charm, you still have an expensive appliance that simply does not work! No one cares, not at all, because it is not happening to them! The fact that we bought expensive products does not matter in todays world. Anyone recalls the days when we had an oven that lasted 30 years? We are so disgusted with Viking. We regret spending the money for something that obviously was made with planned obsolescence in mind. Wish there was a way we could warn people about this company. I would like to put signs on retailer stores, buyer beware.

Weve been very happy with our Viking range since weve had it. Weve spoken with a lot of friends about the dual fuel and were really happy that we did. It cooks really evenly and we still got the gas on top. Its fantastic.

The builder put a brand-new Viking refrigerator in the house that I bought. I like its bottom freezer. Also, when we were having a problem with our ice cubes, the team at the Viking dealer was able to talk us through it and help us. They were great.

My daughter got a KitchenAid but I don’t like it at all because when you close one door, the other one doesn’t close all the way or it stays open or you have to open both of them. Every time I go over to my daughter, I try to clean her refrigerator and five minutes later, the fingerprints are right there back again. It just really annoys me. Im kind of a brand name person and Viking means something that’s classy. I like the look and style of it. I like the weight and the handles were strong. All my appliances are very personal and I have to like the way they feel.Everything has been good with my fridge but I havent quite figured out how to work the panel on the door as far as changing the temperature and I havent really investigated it as far as the manual goes. But it stays cold. I like that it doesn’t show a lot of fingerprints.I do use a cleaner on it, but it stays on it. It keeps the fridge looking good for quite awhile. When we ordered it, it had the other grill on the bottom of it but when they delivered it it had the solid tray on the bottom. I think it was new change but I like it. Also I do like the separate compartments in the freezer. Theres a couple of shallow ones and the bigger one on the bottom.I love my Viking refrigerator. I would get another one. Some people think youre going to get Viking just because of the name but I did try to have an open mind when I went to purchase my refrigerator and checked out another one. Maybe I did buy it because it says Viking on it. Im going to have the fridge for a long time, so I might as well get the one I like.

Purchased about six months ago and I have been picking up ice off the floor several times a day since! It overproduced ice into the bucket and when you open freezer ice falls out. I contacted customer service and a technician came to house. After consulting Viking directly it was found that this is a known problem and there is no fix for our model. I was told I need to lift the ice handle to stop making ice and put it down again when I need more. Can’t believe I have to make my own ice for a fridge that cost close to $10,000! The rep I purchased the fridge from contacted Viking to see if I could return and the answer was NO! Very disappointed!
