Product Reviews:

I recently purchased a Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer via the internet. It was delivered via a special trucking company. I paid an additional sum of money for it to be delivered by a special trucking company, unpacked from the box, brought into my kitchen and inspected (as opposed to the unit being drop shipped to my front yard). It arrived in perfect condition. I hired a licensed plumber to install it. While installing the unit, the plumber reported the kick-plate was missing. Then I noticed there were small cracks/marks in the cutlery bins - an obvious product defect. After running the top drawer of the DishDrawer, water started profusely leaking from the bottom of DishDrawer’s top drawer. I had the plumber return to check all the connections, which he confirmed were connected tightly and properly. The leak was coming from the DishDrawer, not from the connections. I called Fisher & Paykel’s customer care and was told that since I purchased my DishDrawer via the internet, they would not honor my warranty! They said the trucking company was responsible for the missing parts and damage (leaking issue). After holding on the phone for 3 hours, I was transferred to the USA supervisor Paul who said if/when an authorized service technician inspects the leaking issue and determines that it is unrelated to delivery, Fisher & Paykel would honor my warranty. Then Paul insisted that I send him a photo of the cracked cutlery bins before even considering replacing them. I emailed him a photo of the damage two days ago and there’s still no response. He said the kick-plate was already being sent to me (but nothing was received yet). I then had a local authorized service technician come to look at the dish and he determined that the leaking was totally unrelated to the delivery of the unit, but it was instead a product defect and that it should be covered under the 100% manufacturer’s warranty. He advised Fisher & Paykel of this. That was two days ago. Today, Fisher & Paykel told the service technician that they are still having issues with honoring my warranty due to the purchase being via the internet. Fisher & Paykel has confirmed that the unit is a genuine Fisher & Paykel unit and the serial number was accepted upon registration, but Fisher & Paykel claims that any internet purchases are questionable and Fisher & Paykel to this date has refused to honor my warranty. I tried to call the USA supervisor Paul this morning and was told he was on the telephone and would return my call in 5 to 10 minutes. That was three hours ago and there’s still no phone call! I am frustrated and very angry. How could Fisher & Paykel refuse to honor the warranty on their unit after confirming the problem is a product defect? They call their customer service line "customer care" - what care are they speaking of? There is no care whatsoever! They are the absolute worst when it comes to customer service. If Fisher & Paykel refuses to honor my warranty, I plan on reporting them to every possible consumer complaint agency and will seek additional remedies to the full extent of the law.

I have a Samsung 4 door refrigerator that is just over 2 years old. The ice box has started to crack, I spoke to Samsung and they are not interested, this is the 3rd Samsung product I have had problems with (microwave, dishwasher and fridge) and do not think their products are any good and would never recommend them. I will never buy this crap again and I do not know how they are allowed to sell it here?

We paid over $800 (more with installation) for this "quality dishwasher". Within one year we began to experience problems with this unit. The top control panel easily becomes water logged causing the device to fail.

I love KitchenAid products, but my dishwasher, I don't like at all. It is one year old and works Great! The problem is that the bottom rack "tines" so-to-speak are not constructed so the plates stand UP. When I put the round-rimmed plates (which most plates are made that way today on the market) in the slots of the bottom rack, they SLANT over??? Because of this, I CANNOT fill the bottom rack with many dirty dishes, etc. The top rack is NOT WIDE enough for the larger coffee cups that are made. This is a problem also for filling...I run my dishwasher a lot because it is just not made to hold a lot of dinnerware (because of this). My old dishwasher (KitchenAid) in another town was great... The tines on the bottom rack slanted at the tip and the and the dishes stood up... I could really fill it up. I guess I just bought a cheaper grade of KitchenAid? Can I get a replacement for the bottom rack with tines that are bent or slanted at the top so my dishes stand up? I would NOT like to run my dishwasher ALL of the time because I can't put a lot of dishes, etc. in it. Water bill is higher because of this... :-(

Purchased Maytag Dishwasher Model MDB7749SBW3 in April 2014 along with other Maytag appliances to go into our home in the Georgia Mountains. Purchased Maytag for 2 reasons: 1. American made 2. Reputation. Bottom line, after just 2 years the dishwasher has failed. I prewash by hand everything that goes in. First the "normal cycle" stopped working. Then lights on front panel would randomly turn on and dishwasher would turn on by itself, and run for hours. I suspect this could be a fire hazard. I have tried front panel resets, cycling power, etc. Nothing works... It is really sad that American products are third world. I will replace the board myself in hopes of getting another couple of years out of it. No more Maytag for me. Rest assured every time I see someone in Home Depot or Lowe's, looking at Maytag appliances, I will go out of my way to warn them.

Loading is easy, operation is extremely quiet, dishes are very clean even on normal auto wash cycle. White, integrated depress buttons, full size, removable utensil baskets, upper and lower racks, top rack is manually adjustable, stainless steel tub. White front which is what we want not the ugly old metal stainless steel, usage buttons are on the upward facing edge of the door, pull down handle is nice size and very sturdy. Model is MDB8959SBW3. Even on normal auto wash cycle dishes are clean without much pre-rinsing. Purchased 10/14 from local dealer and professionally installed. So far we love it.

Our Samsung dishwasher has already been replaced once (right after we got it). I have many of the same problems I've seen here especially the soap door not opening AT ALL during the cycle, multipacks not dissolving thoroughly, dishes NOT CLEAN! Samsung customer service is equally crappy. It's worse than dealing with a government office! I wish I had my old, portable, hook-up-to-the-faucet dishwasher back! It was 10 times better than any of the new, name-brand, expensive dishwashers out there now! Unfortunately we gave that one away. When this Samsung p.o.s. dishwasher finally quits, I'll just get something else rather than go through the nightmare they call "customer service" again!!!!!

Two months after my warranty expired, the motor burned out on my dishwasher. I called Maytag to see what they would offer, but they would only offer a discount on the actual part. I was so angry I was ready to buy a new dishwasher and forget about them...but I don't have that kind of cash to throw away. After going 5 weeks without a dishwasher (first-world problem) I paid for the part and a repairman to come and fix the dishwasher. Now 3 months later, the touch panel won't work. I am so upset that I wasted the money to fix this piece of junk. I will never purchase another Maytag again.

GE Triton XL dishwasher overheated for no reason and melted the inside components to the point they are scorched black. This dishwasher is worthless. There would have been a possible home fire if we were not at home at the time of incident.

I installed a KitchenAid Dishwasher KUD101FL SS3, Type 577-0, during my remodel. I have to wash the dishes before I put them into the dishwasher or they leave dried food on them. The cable pulley broke and came crashing down on my leg. The door is very heavy. I was very fortunate that I was bruised rather than fractured. Also, there was a very loud clashing noise when the blade goes around. Now, I am not using it at all and must call a repair person. Of course, it is no longer under warranty. What a shame that I paid so much for a worthless appliance.
