Smelly hot water 
Certain water conditions cause a reaction between the anode rod and supply water, which results in hydrogen sulfide gas being dissolved in the tank water. The hydrogen sulfide gas emerges in the hot tap water causing a rotten-egg smell. Installing a less-reactive aluminum alloy anode rod and chlorinating the water supply system eliminates the rotten-egg smell in hot water. 

Water temperature too hot 
First, adjust the thermostat setting to lower the water temperature if the thermostat is set above 130 degrees. The 120-degree setting is standard. If 120-degree water is too hot for you to use, try setting the thermostat at 110 degrees. Next, check the thermostats. The upper and lower thermostats in an electric water heater must fit snug against the tank to properly transfer heat in order for thermostats to detect the water temperature correctly. To check the thermostats, turn off the power to the water heater and remove the thermostat access covers. Check the thermostats' positions and adjust the thermostat brackets if necessary to press the thermostats against the side of the tank. 

Water not hot enough 
Carefully adjust the thermostat setting if it's set below 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Adjust the temperature setting in small increments to avoid producing scalding hot water. You shouldn't need to adjust the temperature above 130 degrees. Setting the thermostat above 130 degrees can produce water that's too hot. Sometimes, you'll use up the hot water in the tank and you'll need to wait for the tank to recover before the water is fully heated. Consider replacing your water heater with a larger capacity model if your current model doesn't supply enough hot water to meet your needs. A 40-gallon water heater typically supplies enough hot water for a family of four with normal water use. 

No hot water 
For electric water heaters, check both house circuit breakers for the water heater. Reset the circuit breakers by shutting them off and then flipping them back on. A gas water heater will have a single circuit breaker. Reset that circuit breaker the same way-shut it off and flip it back on. If the electric water heater doesn't begin to heat after resetting the circuit breakers, shut the breakers off and press the reset button for the high-temperature limit switch on the upper thermostat of the water heater. If the water heater works for a while and then trips the high-temperature limit switch again, you'll likely need to replace a failed thermostat that's causing the element to heat constantly. 

Not enough hot water 
A failed heating element or defective thermostat could result in not having enough hot water. Examine your thermostats and elements and replace any defective components. A buildup of sediment in the bottom of the tank can also result in not having enough hot water. Shut off the electricity and water supply to the water heater and then drain the tank to flush out tank sediment. Refill the tank before restoring electrical power to an electric water heater to avoid damaging the heating elements. 

Pressure relief valve is dripping water 
Replace the pressure relief valve if it leaks and the water heater isn't overheating. If the water is overheating, the dripping could be because the overheating tripped the valve. Shut off the circuit breakers and check the thermostats and heating elements. A failed thermostat can cause the element to heat constantly, resulting in overheating. A heating element shorted to the metal tank or cabinet will also heat constantly and cause overheating. 

Water in the drain pan 
When you see water in the water heater drain pan, check for leaks at the water pipe fittings. Tighten the water pipe connections if necessary. Check the drain valve and temperature-pressure relief valve for leaks. Replace the drain valve or relief valve if they leak. For an electric water heater, check the heating elements for leaks when you see the water heater drain pan full of water. Tighten an element if it's loose. Replace a heating element if damaged.

My Kenmore Oven is Not Heating 
Igniter. The igniter is the most commonly defective part for an oven not heating. The igniter has two main functions. First, the igniter draws electrical current through the oven safety valve to open it. Second, the igniter gets hot enough to glow and ignite the gas in the oven burner. If the igniter gets weak, it will fail to open the safety valve correctly. If the valve does not open, the oven will not heat. To determine if the igniter is defective, observe the igniter when the oven is on. If the igniter glows for more than 90 seconds without igniting the gas flame, this indicates that the igniter is too weak to open the valve. If the igniter is weak, replace it. If the igniter does not glow at all, use a multimeter to test the igniter for continuity. If the igniter does not have continuity, replace it. 

Kenmore Oven doesn't bake evenly 
Bake Element. If the bake element is burned out, the oven will only be heated by the broil element. This will cause the oven to heat unevenly. When the bake element is heating properly, it glows red hot. If the element does not glow red, this indicates that the element is not heating. Often, if the element has burned out, it will be visibly damaged. Inspect the bake element for holes or blisters. To determine if the bake element has burned out, use a multimeter to test the element for continuity. If the bake element does not have continuity, replace it.. 

Kenmore Oven broiler not working 
Broil Element. The broiler element may have burned out. When the broil element is heating properly, it glows red hot. If the element does not glow red, this indicates that the element is not heating. Often, if the element has burned out, it will be visibly damaged. Inspect the broil element for holes or blisters. To determine if the broil element has burned out, use a multimeter to test the element for continuity. If the broil element does not have continuity, replace it. 

Kenmore Stove heating element not working 
Surface Element Board. The surface element board has relays that regulate the power supply to the burners. If one or more of the relays fails, the surface element won’t work. If two or more burners fail at the same time, this indicates that the surface element board is likely at fault. If only one surface element won’t work, use a multimeter to test the element for continuity. If the surface element has continuity, the surface element board might be defective. 

Kenmore Stove burner won't light 
Spark Module. The spark modules provides power to each surface burner spark electrode. If the burner is produces a weak spark, or if the burner sparks intermittently, the spark module might be defective. Before replacing the spark module, first check the spark electrode and the spark wire. If the spark electrode and spark wire are not at fault, the spark module is likely defective. If the spark module is defective, replace it. 

Kenmore Oven temperature not accurate 
Bake Element. When the bake element is heating properly, it glows red hot. If the element does not glow red, this indicates that the element is not heating. Often, if the heating element has burned out, it will be visibly damaged. Inspect the heating element for holes or blisters. To determine if the bake element has burned out, use a multimeter to test the element for continuity. If the bake element does not have continuity, replace it. 

Kenmore Oven light is out 
Light Assembly. If the oven light is out, the entire light assembly may need to be replaced. Often the light assembly components are not sold separately. 

My Kenmore Stove Oven's Not Working

On most ovens, you can open the oven door by removing certain screws or panels. Check your owner's manual for further instructions.

Kenmore Washer won't spin 
Lid Switch Assembly. The lid switch assembly prevents the washer from spinning when the lid is open. If the lid switch assembly fails, the washer will not spin. To determine if the lid switch assembly is defective, use a multimeter to test the lid switch for continuity. If the lid switch does not have continuity, replace it. 

Kenmore Washer is making loud noise 
Bearing. The tub bearing is mounted in the middle of the outer tub. The tub bearing helps to keep the inner tub spinning smoothly. Replacing the tub bearing is a very involved repair and will require disassembling most of the washer. If the tub bearing is defective, we recommend replacing both the outer tub and bearing. 

Kenmore Washer won't agitate 
Agitator Repair Kit. If the washer won't agitate, replacing the agitator repair kit may solve the problem. The kit contains the agitator components that are most likely to wear out and/or fail. If any of the parts are worn out, stripped, or damaged, replace the kit. 

Kenmore Washer won't drain 
Drain Pump. Sometimes, small objects or articles of clothing can get caught in the drain pump. To determine if anything is blocking the drain pump, remove the drain pump and check the pump for obstructions. If the drain pump is clear of obstructions, but is still noisy during the drain cycle, replace the drain pump. 

Kenmore Washer vibrating or shaking 
Shock Absorber. One or more of the shock absorbers might be broken or worn out. The shock absorbers dampen the vibration of the washer tub. If one or more of the shock absorbers are worn out, the washer will vibrate or shake. Sometimes, when a washer is moved to another location, the shock absorbers can separate. Check the shock absorbers to ensure that they are positioned correctly, and inspect them for damage and wear. If one or more of the shock absorbers are broken or worn out, we recommend replacing all of the shock absorbers as a preventative measure. 

Kenmore Washer fills slowly or will not fill at all 
Water Inlet Valve. The water inlet valve opens to allow water to enter the washing machine. If the water inlet valve is defective, the wash may fill slowly or not fill at all. The water inlet valve requires sufficient water pressure to function properly. First, check the water pressure to determine that it is adequate. If the water pressure is adequate, try cleaning the screens inside the water inlet valve hose connection ports. If the washer still fills slowly, replace the water inlet valve. 

Kenmore Washer leaking water 
Drain Pump. The drain pump pumps water out the drain hose. If the drain pump is cracked or damaged, or if the bearings are worn out, the drain pump may leak water. The drain pump is not repairable—if the pump is leaking water, replace it. 

Kenmore Washer won't start 
Timer. The timer is frequently misdiagnosed—before replacing the timer, first check all of the more commonly defective parts. To determine if the timer is defective, consult your washer’s wiring diagram and use a multimeter to test the timer for continuity. 

Kenmore Washer won't spin or agitate 
Drive Belt. Inspect the drive belt to determine if it is broken or if it is loose on the pulleys. If the drive belt is broken or loose, replace it.

Kenmore Dishwasher not cleaning 
Water Inlet Valve. The water inlet valve opens to allow water to enter the dishwasher. If the valve is clogged or defective, the dishwasher won’t get enough water to clean dishes properly. If the water inlet valve is clogged, replace it. Do not attempt to clean the water inlet valve—cleaning the valve could make it more likely to fail. 

Why Won't my Kenmore Dishwasher Drain? 
Drain Impeller. The drain impeller pushes water through the drain hose and into the garbage disposer or drain line. If the impeller is broken, replace it. 

Kenmore Dishwasher buttons not working 
Touchpad. First, confirm that the dishwasher display is working. If the display is still working, try pressing some of the touchpad buttons. If some of the buttons respond correctly but others don’t, it is likely that the touchpad is at fault. (Some manufacturers sell the touchpad separately from the control panel. Other manufacturers require that you purchase the touchpad and control panel together. If you cannot replace the touchpad individually, replace the touchpad and control panel.) 

Kenmore Dishwasher lights flashing or blinking 
Heating Element. The heating element heats up the water to operating temperature. If the water doesn’t reach the proper temperature after a set amount of time, a light on the control panel might start flashing. To determine if the heating element has burned out, use a multimeter to test it for continuity. If the heating element does not have continuity, replace it. 

Kenmore Dishwasher leaking 
Water Inlet Valve. The water inlet valve opens to allow water to enter the dishwasher. If the water inlet valve is stuck open, the dishwasher will continue to fill with water until the dishwasher leaks or overflows. If the water inlet valve is at fault, replace it. Water inlet valves are not repairable—if the valve is defective, you must replace it. 

Kenmore Dishwasher leaking from motor area 
Impeller and Seal Kit. First, try to determine the source of the leak. If the water is leaking from the motor shaft area, the motor shaft seal is likely defective. If the seal is defective, replace it. (Some manufacturers sell the seal independently of the impeller. Other manufacturers require that you purchase the impeller and seal together. Still other manufacturers require that you purchase the entire pump and motor assembly instead of the impeller and seal. It is usually more cost effective to replace the impeller and seal kit rather than the pump and motor assembly.) 

Kenmore Dishwasher won't start 
Door Switch. The door switch prevents the dishwasher from running while the door is open. If the door switch is defective, the switch will prevent the dishwasher from running even when the door is closed. To determine if the door switch is at fault, use a multimeter to test the switch for continuity. If the switch does not have continuity, replace it. 

Kenmore Dishwasher won't latch 
Door Hinge. If the door hinges are damaged, the door won’t be able to latch properly. Inspect the door hinges for damage. If a hinge is bent or broken, replace it. 

Kenmore Dishwasher dispenser not dispensing soap 
Bi-Metal. The bi-metal actuator is a metal loop which acts as a latch for the dispenser door. As electricity is applied to the bi-metal, it deforms and bends away from the latch, releasing it. If the bi-metal is burned out, it won’t release the dispenser door. To determine if the bi-metal has burned out, use a multimeter to test it for continuity. If the bi-metal does not have continuity, replace it. In addition, make sure that the dishwasher is getting enough water. If the water level is too low, the wash motor may not draw enough current through the bimetal, causing the bimetal not to bend enough to work properly.

My Kenmore Microwave is Not Heating 
Diode. The diode converts the A/C power output of the transformer to D/C, doubling the voltage to nearly 5,000 volts. This high voltage powers the magnetron to heat the food. If the diode burns out, the magnetron won’t receive enough voltage to operate, preventing the microwave from heating. When the diode fails, it is often visibly burned out. Inspect the diode and if the diode is burned out, replace it. If inspecting the diode proves inconclusive, test it with a multimeter that uses a 9-volt battery or put a 9-volt battery in series with the diode. When the leads are reversed, the diode should only have continuity in one direction. (Warning: The microwave oven can store a lethal amount of electricity in its high voltage capacitor, even after the microwave oven has been unplugged. Due to the high running voltage and the potential for electric shock, it is extremely dangerous to replace the electronic components in a microwave. Only a licensed technician should replace the diode.) 

Kenmore Microwave not working 
Line Fuse. If too much current passes through the microwave circuitry, the line fuse will blow. If the line fuse blows, the microwave won’t start. To determine if the line fuse is at fault, use a multimeter to test it for continuity. If the fuse does not have continuity, replace it. In addition, you should investigate and resolve the problem that caused the fuse to blow. If you don’t resolve the underlying issue, the new fuse will blow too. (Caution: The microwave oven can store thousands of volts of electricity in its high voltage capacitor, even after the microwave oven has been unplugged. Due to the potential for electric shock, it is extremely dangerous to replace the electronic components in a microwave. Only a licensed technician should replace the line fuse.) 

Kenmore Microwave light bulb not working 
Light Bulb. The light bulb itself might be burned out. Replace the light bulb before replacing any of the parts associated with the light bulb 

Kenmore Microwave shuts off after a few seconds 
Door Switch. A door switch might be failing intermittently. Check each of the door switches for signs of overheating, arcing, or burning. If you don’t see any obvious signs of failure, use a multimeter to test each switch for continuity. If any of the switches is visibly damaged or only has intermittent continuity, replace it. 

Kenmore Microwave turntable not turning 
Turntable Motor. Use a multimeter to test the motor for continuity. If the turntable motor does not have continuity, replace it. 

Kenmore Microwave buttons not working 
Touchpad. To determine if the touchpad is defective, try pressing each of the buttons on the control panel. If some of the buttons respond correctly while others don’t, replace the touchpad. 

Kenmore Microwave display not working 
Main Control Board. If the display goes out partially, the display board is more commonly at fault. If the display isn’t working at all, either the main control board or the display board could be at fault. 

Kenmore Microwave turns on by itself 
Main Control Board. First, make sure that the touchpad is working properly. If the touchpad is working properly, the main control board is likely at fault. If the control board is defective, replace it. 

Kenmore Microwave is sparking or arcing 
Waveguide Cover. The waveguide cover might be damaged and shorting out. Try removing the waveguide cover and see if the problem resolves. If the waveguide cover is burnt or will not stay in place, replace it.

Kenmore Refrigerator not cooling 
Condenser Coils are Dirty. The condenser coils are usually located under the refrigerator. They dissipate heat as refrigerant passes through them. If the condenser coils are dirty, they won’t dissipate the heat effectively. As debris builds up on the coils, the refrigerator becomes less efficient, causing the refrigerator to work harder to cool down. If the coils are significantly dirty, the refrigerator will not be able to maintain the proper temperature. Check the condenser coils to determine if they are dirty—if the condenser coils are dirty, clean them. 

My Kenmore refrigerator water dispenser's Not Working 
Water Tube in Door is Frozen. To determine if the water supply tube is frozen, disconnect the tube at the bottom of the door and blow air through it. If air does not pass through, this indicates that the water supply tube is frozen. If the water supply tube is frozen, thaw it out. In addition, ensure that the freezer is kept at the proper temperature. The freezer temperature should be kept from 0-10 degrees Fahrenheit. If the freezer is too cold, the water line may freeze. 

My Kenmore Refrigerator is not making ice 
Freezer Temperature is Above 10 Degrees F (-12C). If the freezer temperature is above 10 degrees Fahrenheit (-12C), the ice maker will not produce ice cubes efficiently. The freezer temperature should be set between 0 and 5 degrees Fahrenheit (-18 to -15C) for the ice maker to work properly. If the freezer temperature is too high, ensure that the condenser coils are clear of debris and the condenser fan is working properly. In addition, check to see if frost has accumulated on the evaporator coils. If the evaporator coils are frosted over, part of the defrost system has likely failed. 

Kenmore Refrigerator ice dispenser not working 
Dispenser Control Board. The dispenser control board governs most of the functions of the dispenser system. If the control board is faulty, it may stop supplying power to the entire dispenser system. If only one dispenser part is not working, test each of the dispenser components before testing the control board. It is more likely that a single part has failed. If the entire dispenser system is not working, the control board is more likely to be at fault. 

Kenmore Refrigerator not defrosting 
Defrost Control Board. The defrost control board determines how often to run the defrost cycle. If the board fails, the refrigerator will not go into the defrost cycle. Before replacing the defrost control board, first test the defrost heater and defrost thermostat. If the defrost heater and defrost thermostat are working properly, the defrost control board is likely defective. 

Kenmore Refrigerator is noisy or loud 
Fan Blade. If the refrigerator is noisy or loud, especially when one of the doors are opened, either the evaporator or condenser fan blade may be at fault. First, check out the evaporator fan blade in the freezer behind the back panel. Try turning it by hand. If the fan blade does not turn freely, check to see if the blade is rubbing against something or if something is caught in the blade. Additionally, check the condenser fan blade in the back underside of the refrigerator to determine if it has any obstructions. 

Kenmore Refrigerator defrost drain clogged 
Clogged or Freezing Defrost Drain. The defrost drain might be clogged or frozen. If the defrost drain is frozen, the water will overflow the drain trough and drip down to the bottom of the compartment. If the defrost drain is frozen, thaw it out and ensure that the drain is clear of debris. 

Kenmore Refrigerator freezer is cold but refrigerator is warm 
The Evaporator Coils are Frosted Over. The defrost heater assembly turns on a few times throughout the day to melt away any frost that may have accumulated on the evaporator coils. If the defrost heater assembly is defective, frost will continue to accumulate on the evaporator coils, and the coils will become plugged with frost. If the evaporator coils are frosted over, the airflow through the coils will be restricted, causing the refrigerator not to cool. Check the evaporator coils to determine if they are frosted over. If the evaporator coils are frosted over, test each component of the defrost system. 

Kenmore Refrigerator leaking water 
Clogged or Freezing Defrost Drain. If the defrost drain is frozen, the water will overflow the drain trough and drip down to the bottom of the compartment. This water can eventually leak onto the floor. Check the defrost drain to determine if it is clogged or frozen. If the defrost drain is frozen, thaw the ice. In addition, flush the drain with hot water to ensure that it is clear of debris.

Thermal Fuse. The thermal fuse is a safety device designed to protect the dryer from overheating. The fuse is located on the blower housing or at the dryer’s heat source such as the heating element on electric dryers or at the burner on gas models. The fuse should be closed for continuity meaning it has a continuous electrical path through it when good. If overheated the fuse will have no continuity meaning the electrical path is broken and the fuse has blown. A multimeter can be used to test it for continuity. Be aware that a blown thermal fuse is an indication of a restricted exhaust vent from the dryer to the outside. Always check the dryer venting when replacing a blown thermal fuse.  

Kenmore Dryer stopped spinning 
Drive Belt. The drive belt is a very long, slender belt that wraps all the way around the dryer drum, around a tension pulley, and then around the drive motor pulley. Over time, the belt can break from normal use. If the belt is broken, the dryer won’t turn. To quickly determine if the belt is broken, reach into the dryer and turn the drum by hand. If the drum spins very easily, the belt is likely broken. Next, inspect the belt to confirm that it is broken. If the belt is broken, replace it. 

My Kenmore Dryer is Not Spinning 
Drive Belt. The drive belt is a very long, slender belt that wraps all the way around the dryer drum, around a tension pulley, and then around the drive motor pulley. Over time, the belt can break from normal use. If the belt is broken, the dryer won’t turn. To quickly determine if the belt is broken, reach into the dryer and turn the drum by hand. If the drum spins very easily, the belt is likely broken. Next, inspect the belt to confirm that it is broken. If the belt is broken, replace it. 

Kenmore Dryer takes too long 
Air Flow Problem. If the vent is clogged or partially clogged, it will restrict the airflow through the dryer, substantially increasing the drying time. To ensure proper dryer performance, you should clean your dryer’s venting system at least once per year. 

Kenmore Dryer overheating 
Heating Element. The heating element warms the air before the air enters the dryer drum. If the element is partially shorted out, it may produce heat continuously, even if the dryer has reached the proper temperature. When this happens, the dryer gets too hot. To determine if the heating element is at fault, use a multimeter to test each terminal for continuity to the case. If the heating element has continuity to the case, it is shorted out. If the heating element is shorted out, replace it. 

Kenmore Dryer won't stop 
Air Flow Problem. If the vent is clogged or partially clogged, it will restrict the airflow through the dryer, substantially increasing the drying time. To ensure proper dryer performance, you should clean your dryer’s venting system at least once per year.

The Circuit Breaker is Weak. Over time, circuit breakers can weaken. If the circuit breaker is weak, it may trip too often, even if the amperage draw is below the limit. If you have already checked all of the potentially defective dryer components, consider having an electrician replace the circuit breaker.

Drive Belt. The drive belt is a very long, slender belt that wraps all the way around the dryer drum, around a tension pulley, and then around the drive motor. Over time, the drive belt can become frayed or otherwise damaged. If the drive belt is frayed or damaged, the dryer will be noisy as it turns. Inspect the drive belt for signs of wear. It fits cookie sheets, large bowls, we can put lots of plastic that we recycle in the top shelf and it cleans so well! I love this dishwasher! This dishwasher has lots of space so we can really fill it up! It holds at least 20 plates and a ton of silverware and cooking utensils. I use a lot of different dishes when I cook and this dishwasher can hold and clean all of them! This dishwasher Is beautiful. The front cleans very easily, but I wipe off with a wet washcloth then spray some window cleaner and wipe clean with paper towels and it looks brand new again! This dishwasher is very valuable I cant put a dollar sign on it. Since it cleans so well! It would be hard to replace with anything any better! We have had the dishwasher for 4 years and it cleans anything!

Never had an issue. Freezer always stayed cold and the refrigerator worked perfectly. Ive had it for a long time and it works just as great as it did the day I got it. The only issues I had were with the freezer. It was hard to always fit several frozen pizzas and large tubs of ice cream. I just had to change my grocery shopping habits. It isnt the most glamorous. Its not ugly. It just looks dated when compared to stainless steel. It matched my kitchen at the time. It was on the lower end of the price range of refrigerators but it has lasted a long time without having repairs. It also doesnt use a ton of energy.

It is big enough to holds larger pots and pans though I think it could be bigger as we go through so many dishes its unreal. People with larger families will not like this dishwasher as much as people with no families or small families will. It has a very neat clean appearance. It is easy to clean and fits in well with almost any style or color of kitchen. I love that it always looks so very clean even with minimal cleaning. I found it to be a fair value for its brand and size; it couldve been a little bit cheaper but you always happen to pay more for a good quality value and product and the warranty.

The fridge has held up with its performance quite nicely. I have no complaints on this model or brand. There has been no major issues. Food has stayed cold and freezer works great. The size of the appliance is alright. It could be a little bigger but thats alright. I just cut down on the amount I buy to stock the fridge with. I do however like the layout of the fridge. It fits everything great. I absolutely love the look of the appliance. This fridge is great to look at and it goes with my decor in my kitchen well. I would have liked to see a few more different colors. It was a decent value. I would have thought it would have been a little less expensive but completely satisfied with the new fridge and style.

Me gusta la estufa. Mi único problema es mantener la parte superior de vidrio negro libre de manchas y huellas dactilares. La tapa de cristal es casi imposible de mantener brillante. He probado los limpiadores recomendados por Kenmore y han fallado terriblemente. No importa el producto que haya probado, hasta ahora nada ha eliminado las manchas. Aunque la encimera de cristal esté limpia, tiene un aspecto terrible. Estoy muy decepcionada de que Kenmore no se dé cuenta de la frustración que suponen las encimeras de cristal negras. In 15 years, we have had the unit serviced twice. The first time was to replace/fix something in the ice maker which is a wonderful luxury feature, easy fix. The second time, the only issue was dust underneath the unit causing coils to malfunction. Tech cleaned it out, super easy fix, completely my fault. Please clean out underneath your fridge at least yearly. The quick and short of it is, my Kenmore unit has been rock solid for 15 years and is still running steady. Kenmore, good stuff.

Then again fridge went out 1 month later; lost food again. They refused to cover food loss again. Now 2 months with no fridge they expect you to be ok with nothing offer that you can try to find a rental. No rentals available at our local Sears... master warranty, no fridge, living out of an ice chest, missed thanksgiving, now its almost x-mas. Finally they deemed it unrepairable. Theyre not even replacing my fridge. They are crediting my account at half the cost of same refrigerator... they claim its not their fault. Prices have gone up since I purchased my fridge and theres depreciation. I BOUGHT MASTER PLAN supposedly the best, and full guarantee... (obviously someone is lying); SEARS. Are rip offs, so to get the same fridge I have to pay almost a 2000 dollar difference. NEVER. BUY. FROM SEARS - THEY WILL SCREW YOU. Theyre dirty liars. All I have heard is, Sorry for your inconvenience. 2 months no fridge. (family of 5) Their repair people order wrong parts, 2-week waiting period to get next tech out. 1-hour phone calls every time. Just to talk to someone to try to get help. Supposedlybought top fridge out there. So dont buy a Kenmore elite or ever buy from Sears. Many many years ago they used to be good - Not anymore. Theyre dirty liars. If it was easy believe me. I would love to sue them for what I and my family have been through. No one should ever be treated like this. Dirty dirty dirty liars. This was a very dependable dryer. Dried clothes quickly and lasted for years with no problems. It had to be serviced only once all the years we owned and would highly recommend in the future. It worked reliability everyday it was needed. It helped raise three girls and kept their clothes bright and fresh many years. I was sad to see it leave when it was replaced. The dryer looked very good and its paint and looks did very well even though it was in a damp basement on a cement floor. I would recommend this unit to anyone. This dryer was a great value. I wish they still made them as well as this one was. I dont remember what paid but we received many years of service from this dryer.

Tonight, my Kenmore Elite 665 model control panel caught on fire. I was upstairs and my two daughters were yelling that something was burning. I came downstairs to find my kitchen full of smoke. The front of my dishwasher, the plastic has melted and there was soot on the stainless steel. We opened the control panel and everything was melted. I can not imagine what would have happened if I were not home. I have tried to call Kenmore but I was transferred 3 times. I want this thing replaced, I know it is not the first time this has happened. We are not the original owners, if it broke fine, but this could have burned our home down or injured someone in my family. Doesnt Sears or Kenmore care about that? I have seen numerous complaints about this same issue online. People have gone to the local news agencies just to get the word out. Do I need to take it that far? I need something done rather quickly to fix this situation. I have photos that I can pass on.

I think it could be a little better to size so that people in small apartments done have trouble fitting them in their small kitchens so I would not recommend it a lot but performance was really good so we loved it a lot. We liked it but nowadays so many new models and designs are available that people have more to choose from and I guess people will love the latest designs. I wish we had these options then. The refrigerator is a good value for money. Lot of my friends also bought it and they all say that its good. Cuando el servicio técnico vino a arreglarlo, lo único que concluyó fue: ¡Así son las cosas!.

Pulsas un par de botones y acercas tu teléfono a un pequeño altavoz situado junto a la puerta y los problemas se diagnostican a distancia. Bastante bien, excepto que sólo lo harán si todavía estás en garantía. No lo menciona en la guía del usuario. Bien, ¿qué tal una llamada de servicio? Bien, el 29 de septiembre. Bueno, hoy es 6 de septiembre. Espero que un frigorífico dure más de dos años y que el servicio técnico se realice en un plazo razonable. Its nice to wash laundry and not have to hear loud noises. Kenmore has always been a reliable brand for years. My model is no different. I go through laundry rather quickly and I can count on it to get the results I need for a clean and pleasant wash.It is white with a smooth finish. It has all the gadgets you need and more. My favorite feature is the wrinkle guard. Sometimes I just dont have the time to iron so it comes in handy wrinkle-free right out of the dryer. Its valuable because it saves time. Time is very valuable in my household. Some other models take longer to get the same results. This one is fast and effective and meets my daily or weekly needs.

Kenmore smartwash 5+ front load washer smells like mold even after cleaning with bleach solution, washing machine cleaner, and leaving the door open all the time which block the doorway and is very inconvenient. Clothes are left smelling even after rinsing twice and using dryer sheets. I have talked to a repairman. We have extended warranty with no solution to this problem. Unless you are right there to remove from washer immediately, which is ridiculous and cleaning the rubber around the door constantly is a joke. I would never have bought this product if I knew and I am very disappointed. Why hasnt this machine been recalled.

Kenmore Elite Washing Machine - We received the recall notice, and even though we have experienced no issues with our washing machine since we purchased it several years ago, my husband called to schedule the service because it was a safety recall. The technician came out on February 8th and slowed the speed of the spin cycle on the bulky items selection. The first time I washed clothes after that, I had multiple UE (unbalanced error) and it actually took one cycle 2 hours and 45 minutes before I could finally get the clothes clean and rinsed somewhat, and then spun out and into the dryer. I tried several other cycles, selecting different spin speeds, and never could wash a load without standing around redistributing the clothes in the tub. My husband called again and they sent a different technician on February 18th, who ran diagnostics and said the tests showed nothing was wrong. He advised me on how to wash clothes - two of each item, large loads, etc. - and said there appeared to be nothing wrong after he ran a partial cycle with no clothes in the washer. He instructed me to let it finish and then he closed the ticket. Today, once again, all my weekly loads had UE multiple times during the cycles. My husband called Sears again and it will be two more weeks - now it will be March - before they can send another technician. The lady offered him a discount on a new washing machine if he wanted to replace this one! Needless to say, my advice is dont call and have the reprogramming done if you havent experienced the issues described in the recall notice.

The problem was that after 3-4 years I had trouble with it and water started to leak and my clothes would come out smelling weird. The first years the washing machine is excellent but a couple years later it starts to leak and your clothes dont come out clean. Especially in my condition, water would leak and it also stopped spinning. Luckily I knew someone who fixes them so I still use it. The appearance is okay. I really like how its white and the window is there to see if your clothes are ready. The size is okay. Its not too big or too small either. Im a little disappointed at the price it was when we got it. The reason is because it ended up needing repairs a few years later. If it would have lasted longer I wouldnt complain.

New Kenmore Elite Ice Maker Problems - Yesterday was the 4th service call for our new Kenmore refrigerator, which stopped making ice 90 days after installation. Each service technician said the problem was related to a frozen water supply line to the ice maker. Water supply would overflow onto the floor behind the fridge. One technician replaced 2 defective water supply lines to our water dispenser and ice maker. Yesterday, the technician replaced the water supply assembly to the icemaker. At this point, we have heard three defective parts in our new refrigerator. Needless to say, we regret buying a Kenmore. The service technicians are encouraging us to buy a service contract. At the end of each visit, they produce receipts itemizing the cost of each service call, currently covered under the new sale warranty. Service calls total almost $1,000. We feel like the service contract will be required to protect against future similar experiences. Today, the icemaker is producing ice again. I am not confident that it will continue operating.

I purchased a Kenmore Elite Dryer from Sears at Southpark Mall, Strongsville, Ohio.This dryer was not cheap. Although I am very sorry I did not purchase the warranty plan. I did not, because in past years I never had trouble with Kenmore appliances.This dryer is so loud! I did call a few times to complain about it. I recommend that no one purchases this dryer. It has gotten to the point where it sounds like someone is beating it with a baseball bat! Unbearable. And finally it came to the point that I dont feel safe with it running. I am forced to purchase another new dryer! This one is only 5 yrs old now. This is a gas dryer and I am afraid of the thing actually blowing up in the house because the shaking and banging is so rough and loud. I feel it has already affected the gas line. Dont buy a Sears Kenmore Elite! An employee actually hung up on me 3 years ago when I complained about this dryer!This dryer is a safety issue in your home!

La comida en el congelador estaba completamente descongelada y la comida del refrigerador estaba caliente. Estamos tan decepcionados con el producto después de gastar 2500 dólares. En el momento en que el reparador apareció, ordenó las piezas y la instalación estaré sin un refrigerador durante 23 días. El reparador incluso me dijo que probablemente tendré que volver a hacerlo dentro de 2 o 3 años porque están sustituyendo por el mismo compresor con el mismo problema. Quality refrigerator. Keeps food cold. Works well. Little noise. Has no breakdown. The inside is well positioned, easy to get at food, right height. It is appropriate for my needs. Children have no problem getting what they want. Has a stainless steel exterior and makes a nice design for my kitchen. Fits in with other appliances so all add a great look. Value is ok for a 12-year old refrigerator and it has stayed consistent and worth the investment. But need more room in the refrigerator as I tend to buy in bulk so I have a second refrigerator, smaller but has my overflow especially for coming holiday. Will be looking for a larger Kenmore but with same design. Nevertheless, Sears stands behind their Kenmore product. Good support if needed and I get updates as needed.

El frigorífico Kenmore tenía una gran capacidad, un buen espacio para los productos y me gustaron las opciones de dispensador de hielo y agua que ofrecía. También me gustaron las opciones de color porque quería que hiciera juego con mis otros electrodomésticos negros. Sin embargo, me decepcionó el rendimiento de este frigorífico porque se estropeó después de sólo 2 años y no pude conseguir un servicio técnico inmediato. Vino el técnico, pero no tenía piezas para repararlo, a pesar de que le dimos una descripción completa de la pieza que había fallado antes de que viniera. No volveríamos a comprar un frigorífico Kenmore.

Quería un frigorífico fiable y Kenmore me pareció una buena opción en ese sentido. Mantenía mis alimentos y otros artículos a una temperatura constante que era lo suficientemente fría como para evitar que mis alimentos se estropearan, que es exactamente lo que quería que hiciera. Sin embargo, se raya fácilmente cuando se usa a diario y también raya el suelo cada vez que intento moverlo. También es costoso de reparar. Una vez se me estropeó y me costó un ojo de la cara.

I hate my Sears Kenmore Elite Washer and Dryer.The washer constantly goes off balance - even with small loads of two pairs of jeans and a polo shirt. I spread the clothes out at the beginning of a wash. On average, I have to stop the washer 2-3 times per load as it throws an error code because it is off balance. It finally broke down and decided to call Sears to schedule an appointment to have it looked at and repair it. The dryer also will not stop even if the clothes are brittle dry as it can only be set at 40 minutes. The representative asked if I also wanted that looked at. Obviously, I said, Yes. The appointment I maid was to be this Monday at 1pm - 5pm. I checked my email and one is at 8am - 12pm and the other is 1pm - 5pm. I am not sitting around all day waiting on Sears! I called to have both fixed between 1pm - 5pm. The representative said they cannot move the one to the afternoon. I asked for a supervisor but never got one even after calling back and waiting for more than 10 minutes listening to music.Boy wish I was strong enough to haul these back to Sears and leave them at their store. I only selected 1 star because there was no lesser option.

The product is an excellent washer and dryer. I purchased it on sale, the cost was wonderful. It is easy to use and holds decent amount of wash. The name speaks for itself. I have had other brands in the past, must always come back to this brand in particular. The appliance exceeded my expectations. The color matches my decor. The style is sleek and not big so it fits my laundry room space perfectly. The value is again as I previously stated outstanding. You cant ask for a better product for the price and quality of this appliance. I would definitely recommend to my fellow shoppers.

Me encanta el aspecto blanco y limpio de la lavadora. Es muy limpia y se ajusta a lo que necesito en el día a día. Además, el valor fue increíble y el bajo precio por el que conseguí esta lavadora y secadora es increíble. There was room in it for a full load after meals. This was the best dishwasher I have ever had. The way everything fit inside was great. It was very appealing to me when I first saw it. I have also had washer and dryers not wash and dry my clothes thoroughly. It fits just the usually size load. Its not a higher duty dryer and washer. Those ones were out of my price range. But I dont have any complaints about the load size. I live by myself. I like the appearance of my washer and dryer. It doesnt look old or used and its easy to use. It has the basic knobs but very stylish. Overall others would complain and want the newer model but this one I am very happy with. The value of this washer and dryer is very least expensive but is stylish enough to look like youre not poor and cant afford a nice washer. I love these models of washers and dryers. I think these models are the best around for people that cant afford the newest models around.

In 5 years of having refrigerator I never once had any issues with not cooling or breaking of any kind. I had plenty of storage space. I could put anything I needed to inside. It has movable shelves for bigger dishes. I love the fact the gallons of milk would fit in the door. It was a beautiful unit that cleaned easily especially on the handles where the most dirt would be. Mine was in white to match my kitchen perfectly. I got 5 years out of the unit and might still have if it would have fit in my smaller kitchen. I thought I got a bargain for what I paid.

Sin embargo, hemos hecho venir a Sears 3 veces para arreglar el dispensador de secado por chorro. Todavía no está arreglado y no está fuera de garantía. Se vacía todo en cada uso del lavavajillas. Así que ya no usamos el dispensador sin manchas. Es una pena para un aparato tan caro. El tamaño se adapta perfectamente a mi lavadero, muy práctico. Estoy muy contento con la compra. Definitivamente lo recomendaré a amigos y familiares. Silencioso y hace el trabajo rápidamente. Los platos salen brillantes y todas las partículas de comida desaparecen. Muy bonito. Funcionamiento sencillo, limpia muy bien la vajilla, fácil de usar, eficiente energéticamente y con un tiempo de secado rápido, fácil de cargar, con muy pocas fugas, fácil de cargar y descargar para los niños. Era lo suficientemente grande como para contener y limpiar la vajilla de uso diario de mi familia. Se integró bien en el resto de la cocina. Es fácil de limpiar. Es muy moderno, pero no sobresale. Es fácil de combinar con mis electrodomésticos actuales. Pensé que era un poco caro pero el precio valía la pena por la calidad de la máquina. Muy poco coste de mantenimiento y conservación. We have had it for about a year now and normally our other freezers would start having issues, but this one has not and keeps everything super cold. It has a lot of space and it is easy to store things. With all the drawers it makes organizing so easy. And I like that its wire, it makes it easy to clean. It is very clean in appearance. I like the white color, it keeps it classic. The inside is also white as is the wire shelves and the shelves on the door. It was a great price. Normally we have our freezers break after about three years and half to buy a new one so it was great that this one wasnt very expensive.

La garantía para la cosmética era de 3 años. Cuando el técnico vino a la casa, declaró y procedió a poner por escrito a Sears, que esto no estaba cubierto. El técnico tomó fotos para respaldar mi queja. Las fotos nunca se adjuntaron a la orden de servicio que el departamento de soluciones al cliente había recibido. El representante de Soluciones al Cliente, ubicado en Filipinas, procedió a decirme que no estaba cubierto. El representante me dijo que sólo estaba allí para tomar mi información; el representante CONFIRMÓ que Sears es consciente del problema y NO está haciendo nada al respecto para sus clientes. Todos los electrodomésticos de la casa han sido productos Kenmore; presenté una queja y, por supuesto, todavía estoy esperando que me llamen. Esperaba que Customer Solutions estuviera en los Estados Unidos. Así que muy decepcionado e irritado. No busco una lavadora nueva ---- sólo la parte de reemplazo para la parte superior. Me gusta la marca Kenmore y tengo otros electrodomésticos para que todos hagan juego. El acero inoxidable del frigorífico le da un aspecto elegante y limpio. Va bien con todos mis otros electrodomésticos. Es silencioso y mis hijos pueden abrirlo con facilidad y eso es una gran ayuda. Además, fue una muy buena oferta y tengo una tarjeta de Best Buy así que eso ayudó a hacer pagos más pequeños en lugar de un gran pago a la vez. Sin embargo, no me gusta que no es magnético y no puedo poner fotos o cosas que mis hijos hicieron en la nevera. También es muy molesto para limpiar y las huellas dactilares se ponen por todas partes. Puedes limpiarlo todo lo que quieras pero las líneas van a aparecer y la próxima vez que alguien abra la nevera las huellas estarán ahí.

My Kenmore Elite top loading washer does not adequately submerge my clothes, especially comforters in the bulky/bedding setting with water. Nor does it agitate and move the clothes around to wash them. The drum simply goes back-and-forth so the same clothes that were on the top at the beginning of the cycle are still on the top at the end of the cycle. Bulky items never change position at all. Furthermore, I do not use bleach, but the bleach container has eroded and rusted all around it. I am not satisfied with how this washes my clothes.

The brand is made of quality steel and works very well. The motor will last many years and not need to be worked on. I purchased Kenmore Oasis washer in 2007. In 2010, the washer began leaking from bottom. My laundry floor never got wet in front of the washer, so I didnt know there was a leak. The washer is on the second story. It was evidently a slow leak. I started smelling a musty smell in my kitchen (directly under the laundry room). Then, I started noticing brown spots on the ceiling in the kitchen. We just had a major snow storm, so I thought the roof had leaked from ice build up. I called the insurance company. They repaired and paid for the damage even though they could not find a roof leak. They cut holes in the ceiling and used huge fans to dry out the ceiling. A few months later, I started noticing a musty smell again and noticed more brown spots in ceiling. I called the insurance company again. This time, we decided to check the bottom of the washer. We found the floor was rotted under the washer. The insurance company had to again do the repair work on the ceiling, dry it out and repair the damaged floor in the laundry room. There was around $9000 damage for the 2 repair jobs that insurance paid for. Sears fixed the washer and found a defective part. The insurance company took the part. They said they were going to file a claim against Sears, because the part was defective and the machine was only three years old. When the repair work was done, I had the repairman put a pan under the washer in case I ever had another leak. Last night, I noticed that the pan is full of water. I called Sears and they said I would have to pay for the service call and all parts. It has just been a year and 3 months since I had the same problem. I explained to the representative that I cant keep paying for repair on the same problem on a washer that is only 4 years old. I asked if there were any recalls. He said he did not know but the repairman might know. This is unacceptable service. I have bought Kenmore products for years and always thought Sears would stand behind their product. I wont buy anything else from Sears. I bought my daughter a washer and dryer from Sears 3 months ago. If I had to do it over, I would have bought it from Lowes.

We have no space issues what so ever. It fits everything with no problems and we buy a lot of food. Were a family of 5! Its really just your typical fridge, nothing special. Its white, top is the freezer. Bottom is the fridge. It has 2 handles one for the fridge one for the freezer. The inside is huge - drawers a good size. It was a few years ago. But it still works great! Id say the value probably went down and its probably one of the cheaper ones out there now, since theres so many models that do so much more. This is pretty basic.
