I bought a KitchenAid range for a rental. The oven has been used rarely and the regulator went out causing an expensive repair and a part wait time of over 6 weeks. I would definitely recommend anyone considering a KitchenAid range to do their homework.

Just wanted to throw my $.02 in for what its worth. We bought a KitchenAid side by side refrigerator and have been totally dissatisfied with it right from the beginning. First, it is very loud when running. When we complained, the response was, to paraphrase, give it a few weeks, youll get used to it and you wont even notice it. That hasnt worked. Second, the ice maker is a joke. Very slow to make ice, cubes are small, and it wont keep up with the ice needs of only 2 people in the household. My recommendation is to trust the reviews and dont buy KitchenAid! Crappy products and crappier customer service!

We purchased our top of the line Kitchenaid Gas Range/Oven in 2019. When we use the locking mechanism to lock the electronic panel on the top, it seems to work properly on the oven but it does not lock the range. As a result there have now been many times we brush by the knob for the gas range and it will begin leaking the gas without the ignite. This has happened numerous times even when my cat walks by, or we brush by the stove, unloading groceries. The knob turns slightly and the gas begins to leak. At one time we had the whole room fill up with gas bc we did not know it was on (we believe our cat must have brushed by) and the 12X24 room was filled with gas. I am working with the warranty team but this is a big safety concern for my family of 4 plus 2 pets.

Just purchased this dishwasher (KTA 44 dBA) mainly because it matched the refrigerator KRFF707ESS I wanted and am pleased with. However the top tier drawer of dishwasher is pretty much useless. I thought it was for stacking flatware but the prongs are so short, the flatware falls over. Wish I had bought a Miele which is more expensive but definitely superior. So now Im not using the upper tier for flatware. Alternative is this enormous basket which takes up so much space. No one would ever have need for that much basket space... takes up the whole depth of bottom drawer, which by the way, slide out on their own volition often. Dont stay closed unless you forcefully push it into place. Not thrilled with this dishwasher. It is quiet and it does clean. Thats it. Spend the money and get a Miele.

We purchased a countertop $599 microwave in February, 2018 for our small business of 7 employees. After about 13 months the open latch broke. Of course the warranty had just ended and so we had to pay to repair it. In October, 2019 it completely stopped working. Called the store where I bought it, they said I had to call KitchenAid directly and gave me the model and serial number information I needed. KitchenAid (Whirlpool) told me they didnt have the parts for this model and that they dont repair their countertop microwaves. This micro was used maybe 2X per week to reheat employee leftovers or warm water for tea. It is absolutely crazy that it worked for less than 2 years. Avoid KitchenAid microwaves at all costs! They offered no resolution other than I could buy another one! Really? I will NEVER buy another appliance - microwave or otherwise - from KitchenAid. I have microwaves that I paid less than $100 for that have lasted five times as long and have been used far more frequently!

We purchased a KitchenAid microwave/oven combo in April 2013 while building our home. It was installed in December. It immediately experienced an error. We called to have it serviced, but the repairman could not find the problem. The error had disappeared! It is now May, the warranty has expired, and the oven is beeping non-stop at all hours of the night and intermittently throughout the day. When it is experiencing this problem, none of the keys on the keypad work. I thought KitchenAid made a quality product, but this is not the case. Very disappointed that such an expensive product could cost us this much trouble and sleepless nights. Its a holiday weekend, and no one at KitchenAid can be reached. Not a happy KitchenAid product owner!

We bought the Kitchenaid combination microwave/convection oven in 2017. Our problem with the unit is a faulty door latch, that apparently is a manufacturing flaw which Kitchenaid is not addressing. Sometimes as we attempt to use the microwave, we get a message that says open/close door. This is an indication that the latch portion that is in the unit (not the door) recedes back into the unit. We have had a repair man come twice to fix the problem, with a standard $89 fee that Kitchenaid does not recognize as covered under warranty. The second time he came, he told us he gets many calls for this problem, and showed us how to fix it ourselves to avoid the service call. It is a 30 minute nuisance to get into the panel for a temporary fix. We are disappointed that Kitchenaid would sell a product that is destined to malfunction repeatedly. We are hopeful they will stand behind their good reputation and fix this manufacturers error.

I bought a KitchenAid refrigerator/dishwasher and stove Sept 2010 at Lowes. There was nothing wrong with my appliances. They all worked at the time I was redoing my kitchen and but wanted all new appliances. I chose KitchenAid because I thought they were one of the top of the line products. Wow was I so wrong. I have had problems with my refrigerator, started about a year after having it. I would empty my ice bucket and could not get the door to close properly. Had them out here 3 times never got it resolved. So now I just slam it as hard as I can and it closes nice. Well now it is leaking underneath on my hardwood floors so whats that mean? My hardwood floors is now ruined. I made my first phone call on Wednesday Aug 17 2016 and spoke to a supervisor Ben to tell me to buy the warranty and he will have someone out here on Monday.Well thats not acceptable now he gets someone to come out on Friday 8-12 so my husband waits and no one shows up. I am at work and I am fortunate that I am able to make phone calls. I literally was on the phone for two hours trying to get this resolved to get nowhere except Im sorry. I appreciate the Im sorry but what are you doing about it? Nothing. They blame the service that is supposed to come out and the service blames it on KitchenAid. I tell KitchenAid I will never buy another KitchenAid product again and all they say is, Im sorry you feel this way. Really, dont you want to keep your customers? Bottom line - dont buy KitchenAid. They dont stand behind their products.

I purchased the KitchenAid Gas/Convection Range with AquaLift Self-Cleaning
I purchased the KitchenAid Gas/Convection Range with AquaLift Self-Cleaning Technology. To put it simply - it does not work. It requires you to pour 1 3/4 filtered water on to the bottom of the range after you remove all racks. Click clean button and poof, in 40 minutes your oven is clean...NOT! I am not a cook. I purchased this oven almost 2 years ago. Ive used it less than 10 times. Mostly for holiday dinners. It just is not that dirty. Tried the self-cleaning feature twice. No difference. It just does not work. I am currently also questioning whether the oven is really working well at all. It takes forever to preheat and lately, more time than usual to cook food. I called customer service as I purchased an extended warranty. They wont come out until I troubleshoot all issues. Their recommendation was to unplug the oven and wait 30 minutes before plugging it back in - to reset the oven. Try cooking something and see if that solves the problem. Havent done that yet at the time of this review, however, I think this is an oven I would avoid purchasing. I know Im going to have to end up scrubbing the inside myself and be forced to use the recommended cleaners and tools or risk forfeiting the warranty. It is a great looking oven. It was recommended to me when I was looking to purchase all new kitchen appliances after a total kitchen reno. I just have a bad feeling about this appliance. Cant imagine what others with families and those that use this oven often are going through regarding the ability to clean it. This AquaLift, low-heat technology DOES NOT WORK.

Upper rack was over designed with too many moving features causing inherent weaknesses in plastic components. One year after use started the first plastic tabs started breaking. Without buying a whole new rack there was only one option. Had to figure out stainless steel bolts and nuts to replace broken tabs. Tedious but do-able. I believe most people (probably 95%) do not adjust the racks anyway because they are complicated to adjust. Why build things that break? Just keep it simple! Otherwise this dishwasher works great. It is very quiet and washes well. Clean look. If they would make the upper rack as simple as the bottom rack it would be bullet proof. But no, the Kitchenaid engineers and marketing people had to complicate it by putting in breakable features most people do not use. Thanks for messing up an otherwise great product. Now figuring out my fourth set of bolts to keep the upper rack in place and gliding like it should.

I purchased 5 KitchenAid appliances 45 days ago during their big 25% off promotion. That was mistake one. I get a call yesterday 4 days before delivery telling me that my fridge is backordered until April. This is the biggest load of lies since Donald Trump on Twitter. Investigating deeper and talking with my sales agent at home depot it sounds like any counterdepth fridge with external ice water have been pulled and no longer is available for purchase. They have even pulled all these models from the KitchenAid website. Ridiculous. Calling customer service, the company line is that there is no recall and it is available for order. So I ask if its available why is it no longer on the website. Needless to say I need to cancel my entire KitchenAid purchase. Do not make the mistake of buying KitchenAid.

This is Kitchenaid model KEBC247VSS02. The problem is common among ALL kitchenaid wall ovens. When using the self-cleaning mode, the oven apparently overheats resulting in a thermal fuse to blow. The oven shuts down completely, the door is locked and the oven cannot be used. Thanks to Youtube, the repair is relatively simple, although the entire double oven must be removed from the wall to replace the fuse. Appliance repair is a minimum of $200- 250. EVERY time the self-clean is used, the fuse blows. Therefore, self-clean CAN NOT be used. Terrible design and useless self-cleaning.

In 2010 my wife had her dream kitchen installed, which included all Kitchenaid Stainless Steel appliances. All top of the line. (Sadly, my wife died a year and a half later of cancer) It is now just me, and an occasional child home from college, so these appliances are getting very light use. The freezer on the bottom refrigerator started to fill with ice at the bottom, which destroyed the Cherry floor underneath. This was due to a clogged duck valve, which is a two dollar part. The repairman said that they all do it, and a replacement part that was modified was installed. The damage to the floor is estimated to be over a thousand dollars. The dishwasher has gone through two thermal fuses, and now wont cycle. Im waiting for the repairman as I write this. I will never recommend any Kitchenaid appliance to anyone, and my three kids who are all in the process of going out on their own will not either. My call to Kitchenaid for the refrigerator problem was not only unhelpful, but I ended up at a call center in who knows where. So, avoid this brand. I am so disgusted with the dishwasher that I am ready to have it replaced.

I am very disappointed in the Kitchen Aid Side by Side, model KSF26G4XYY03. In the past year, we have had two drawers break in the refrigerator. The face of the drawer came off and plastic on the drawer cracked off. Also, a drawer in the freezer busted where the plastic covers the wheel of the drawer. This is NOT quality construction. I bought this expensive piece of crap in November 2017 and it hasn’t worked since day one! I have repeatedly called the 800 number with no satisfaction. The first time it took them 6 months to get the part they said was not working and when they finally showed up yesterday May 25 it only worked a few hours and died again. I called service again and they refuse to give me a new refrigerator and couldn’t come out today to fix it even though I have once again lost everything in my refrigerator. The person named Pat on their service line refused to transfer me to someone with any decision making authority and refused to do anything more than schedule service again. I will never ever buy KitchenAid again and believe me the world is going to hear about this. I have been more patient than any human should have to be without a refrigerator and without any satisfaction from a company that sold me a defective piece of equipment and refuses to do anything about it. DO NOT BUY KITCHENAID APPLIANCES.

In June of 2012 I renoed my kitchen and bought brand new Architect II Series appliances. I thought that KitchenAid, being a good, reputable name, would equate to a quality product. 11 months later my freezer sprung a leak causing the floor of the freezer to be a solid sheet of ice. Ironically, the customer service rep actually admitted to me that that common problem isnt usually seen until the unit is about 13/14 months old, not 11. RED FLAG!!!! Guy came (under warranty), fixed it, poo poo poo, no re-occurrence. HOWEVER, the OTR microwave vent makes a lot of noise but doesnt suck the air well at all. Technician said that although other units have a stinger suction, since it has something he cant fix it.The oven doesnt signal when the desired temperature is reached and that has NOTHING to do with the options. The dishwasher has had a technician out to my home twice. At $85 for 15 minutes how many more times can I afford to call him? First time was that the water apparently wasnt heating up (even though it was steamy) and the second time the panel was just flashing nonstop. No actual problem there! Goodbye ** + tax! Now, the damn thing will not kick into the heat dry cycle. It washes, rinses and drains perfectly but when it is meant to heat dry it just shots off completely. No flashing code, no green clean light. And to top it all off very nicely, all 4 wheels on the sliding upper rack are broken. The teeth that hold them in place have simply broken off. Because of course, thats normal!!!!!! NOT.I am so frustrated with KA. I will never buy anything more expensive than a blender from them again. In my opinion, I should not have had these many issues with appliances 2 years old. My grandmothers Frigidaire avocado green stove and fridge set from 1959 still work perfectly!!!!!!!! If only products made today were made to last. And by last I mean longer than the 12 month factory warranty. :(

We purchased a KitchenAid refrigerator, bottom freezer, Model No D-KBFS20EVMS approximately nine months ago. The compressor failed over a week ago and we are still waiting to have it repaired. Unfortunately, neither the retailer nor the KitchenAid Customer Service can find a replacement part and we have been unable to pin down when we will be able to have the appliance fixed. We have been told it may be another week but at this point we have no confidence in the company or the retailer. We have had to purchase a dorm refrigerator in order to keep several medications cold. KitchenAid refuses to replace the refrigerator but they did offer us a $100 gift card, good for another KitchenAid purchase. I am extremely dissatisfied and could kick myself for purchasing KitchenAid appliances. We bought a suite of six KitchenAid appliances for our newly remodeled kitchen six months ago. We installed them four months ago. Last night, I turned on the self-cleaning cycle for the very first time and woke to a kitchen full of tiny pieces of glass. A repairman will come in five days. If this is anything like the experience we had with the new dishwasher. We installed the dishwasher and I ran a load of dishes. All of a sudden, I noticed water gushing (damaged new hardwood floor), faulty part. It was three weeks before it was fixed. I ran two loads of dishes and the door latch stuck. A repairman came out two weeks later and used a tool to pick out the latch. He told my husband to pick out the latch if it did it again. I did not feel so good about that. One load and the same thing happened again. We called for repair, and it is two weeks before they can come out. We didnt hear from them in two weeks, so my husband called the service department and then the salesman. The third week, the part came in and they said the part was faulty. Now we have to wait for another two weeks before they come out and replace the faulty part. The dishwasher is working now and the oven glass exploded during the cleaning cycle. I feel like I lit a match to $10,300. I have read the comments listed and feel this exploding glass is an extreme safety issue. And to think I was so proud of my Kitchen Aid appliances. Why does this company not care about their reputation and customer satisfaction? What a headache and heartache. I wish I could turn back the clock and that money would have gone to another manufacturer that stands behind their product and cares about customer satisfaction.

Avoid at all costs the custom Architect series of KitchenAid 48inch built-in refrigerators. This $8,000 custom refrigerator has severe problems with the icemaker. I took delivery and installation of this refrigerator. From day one, the ice maker has not worked. It rains water into the freezer leaving ice all over the freezer. Two so-called KitchenAid repairmen came out the second and fourth day. They cant find the solution. After 10 days of no ice, they hope to replace some part that might fix the problem. The fact is that this unit has a design problem that may never be rectified. There is no reason a brand-new unit should have this problem and the service persons cannot fix it. This indicates either a KitchenAid ice maker design problem or incompetency on the part of repair/service providers. This kind of headache is unacceptable just to have ice cubes and cold milk! I should have gotten a cheaper fridge at one tenth the cost. If you research the reliability records of other built-in fridges, Sub-zero, Thermador, etc, they all have major issues with their ice makers and their compressors. I hope that Pacific Sales, now owned by Best Buy, can help rectify this nightmare. They want me to keep this defective fridge and give me an extended warranty to cover predictable malfunctions. Not a good way to start out. I could understand if this was a 10-year old unit but not with a brand new lemon!

It was leaking and freezing all over inside the door and top of reefer interior. This resulted in two service visits before a heater kit had to be installed (factory told repair tech it should have been installed at factory). Following this, continued leaks until new seals were installed. Now, 10 1/2 months later freezer quits. Service tech comes, advises this acts exactly like a service flash they received. Performs a number of diagnostic tests and calls KitchenAid as the service bulletin does not offer any fix only says to call for special instructions. Those special instructions were to give me a case number and Customer Assist telephone number. He was told by KA there was nothing he could do - that the matter was being submitted for review and disposition. Meanwhile no freezer and water gushing forth onto kitchen floor from dead freezer/ice maker. I call the number provided and am told that the team would be reviewing the matter and it could take five (5) business days for a decision as to whether it would be repaired or replaced. This being totally unacceptable I was referred to a supervisor who told me there was no way to expedite the process. I told her that five days was totally unacceptable for a replacement decision and then comes the kicker... The five days is only for the decision, if approved by the team any replacement will take an additional 10-14 days! In the meantime I have no working freezer and the refrigerator side, while working, is much warmer than optimal temp settings and compressor is making significant noise. Until this venture we have always had Whirlpool/KitchenAid appliances for 42+ years of marriage save for a short stint with a GE reefer that wasnt our choice. TEST QUESTIONS: Do you think well ever buy anything from KitchenAid/Whirlpool again? (Oh, and did I mention this year we plan to upgrade range, microwave and dishwasher?) Is it any wonder foreign appliances are flooding the market in a country where Made in the U.S.A. once meant quality, longevity and outstanding customer service?

We did a total kitchen remodel in 2003 and used KitchenAid Architectural Series appliances. Were a household of 2 adults, and we take great care of everything and the refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, microwave and cooktop look like new. The 36 gas cooktop with 4 burners and a grill Model KGCP462KSS0 ignitor went out. We had that part replaced and found that the wiring harness part 8284974 had malfunctioned as well. I called KitchenAid only to find the part is no longer manufactured. They offer no alternate, no help in having a new one manufactured. Bottom line is, the effective life span is 8 years. Replacement is $3000+; the granite is cut for this appliance as well. Moral of the story - never buy another KitchenAid appliance!

KitchenAid Refrigerator Counter Depth Side by Side KSC23C8EYY02 - This pertains to a new Refrigerator purchased in January 2013. Condensation formed above the ice/water dispenser on exterior of original freezer door. New freezer door was installed last week (after 2-month wait). Now, new problems pop up - the ice maker does not produce ice. The electronic display is defective (light segments do not work) and the freezer is super-cooling. 3 different service companies have been here since last Monday and the problem continues. Why cant someone figure this out? A new ice maker is on order, a new display is on order and today, we are told that the heaters (supposed to keep water line to ice maker from freezing) may be defective. We have 4 months before our one-year warranty runs out and no confidence that we will have a functional refrigerator before then.

My KitchenAid dishwasher caught fire caused damage to my home. There was a class action lawsuit with a substantial settlement/compensation to the owners. KitchenAid offered me $100 off MSRP for a new dishwasher. I can purchase a new dishwasher for hundreds off msrp at my local mom and pop store. KitchenAids offer is not only insulting and offensive but also no different to what they offer all their customers with minor complaints. Kitchenaid dishwashers involved in the lawsuit were found to be faulty and downright dangerous as they catch fire and can burn a home down. Had I not been home at the time, my home would have been destroyed and $100 is what they think is appropriate. KitchenAid does not stand by their products nor do they provide support or assistance.

We remodeled our kitchen 2 years ago and purchased a KitchenAid Refrigerator, Microwave, oven range, and dishwasher. About a year ago we started having issues with our refrigerator. First the ice maker then the water dispenser and then the circuit board. We have had repairmen come out 6 different times trying to fix the problems. Finally after the 6th attempt the repairman said it was unrepairable and notified our warranty company...What a flipping joke!!We contacted Sears where we bought the appliances from - useless. They did not care even though the warranty company is Sears Home Warranty, every time we tried to contact them we could not get through and when we did there was never a Supervisor available and they would pass us along to their main office and all we would get was a voice mail box. They finally called us back to say all they can do for us is offer us $247.00 for replacement (of a $3500 refrigerator that is 2 years old). DO NOT PURCHASE KITCHENAID REFRIGERATORS! We purchased a high end KitchenAid refrigerator (almost 3,000) and began having problems within 6 months. Have had 6 technician visits to attempt to fix (back of refrigerator freezes up, cant get filtered water, stops cooling and food rots in our absence). EVERY replaceable part that is not considered part of the inner compartment has been replaced. Our last technician, in writing, wrote that there was nothing else that could be done except replace the entire refrigerator and that ours was a lemon. I called the manufacturer (Whirlpool/KitchenAid) and they told me that I had a problem and they didnt, in other words... I was SOL. DO NOT BUY A KITCHENAID REFRIGERATOR or for that matter ANYTHING under the WHIRLPOOL umbrella since they will not stand by their products. Buy a GE!

We have an 18-month old KitchenAid refrigerator - high end model with the freezer on the bottom. It began to leak water that settled at the bottom of the freezer. After a time, it would freeze so much that it would eventually leak out onto the floor. We looked in the book - no help there. I found your forum and a problem just like ours (same model even). They said it turned out to be a grommet that was too small and that a new style had been developed. So we wrote to KitchenAid about this. They denied that there were any problems. After several conversations with them and a copy of one of your forum notes on this, they finally did agree to at least pay for the part. Well the appliance man came and fixed it. It was indeed the old style grommet. He said it happens all the time. We wrote to them again and asked them about paying the labor (part was about $12 and the labor is $100). No, they would not do this. Apparently, according to the repairman, this refrigerator is not the only one with this problem. This model is also sold by Maytag and some other - maybe Sears? Just slap a different name on them and they all have this problem. So buyer beware. Make sure that they check this out before you bring it home or you too will be paying the price to fix it. We really bought what we thought was a quality product (now that we are retired and didnt want to have to deal with repairs all the time). So much for that! KitchenAid support was of no help at all. If I had to do it over again, I would not buy another KitchenAid product!

Model # KUDL021RBS4 - As two retired old folks, we use a lot of paper plates and have used our expensive all stainless dishwasher no more than three times a month. It was purchased from Lowes 2007. A month ago, the LEDs on the control panel started flashing. Wife called KA and they connected us to a tech. No problem, he says, change the circuit board. No problem, I say. I build computer up from parts. Ill change out the part from Whirlpool. The washer worked once and the lights started flashing again. Washer wont run. The internet chat line person knew nothing about that. He sent me a copy of what was included with the owners manual that doesnt reflect the actual model. Question is, do I waste another $250 with further service calls and parts or do I buy a disposable one for only $247 and give up on those pretty premium expensive disposable appliances? Samsung did me wrong, now Kitchen Dis-Aid. Why pay more? Whats the point?

We spent $6000.00 for a built-in side by side 48 inches refrigerator. Nothing but trouble with the ice machine. First, it froze up soon after purchase. They sent a appliance person out. He said just break up the ice. How stupid was that? The next appliance person, the water is leaking into the motor of the ice dispenser freezing it up. When exposed, you could see all the frozen ice. A lot of it. No wonder the motor wont work, it was frozen up. When the new part came, it had a new part with it. This rubber washer was to stop the water from going into the motor and freezing it again. Now these motors are not cheap. So this was a design flaw. Here we go again: same problem even with the new rubber washer. It’s frozen up solid. It makes a lot of ice you just can’t get it out of the dispenser. I am sure there are a lot of people that have this same problem. This started before the warranty was out. This is a two years and 9 months appliance. There’s trouble with the ice maker all the time. They just tell you your warranty is out even though they made a flaw in the ice machine design.

My last KitchenAid dishwasher was 19 years old and still running but the racks were getting rusty in spots so rather than spend nearly as much for new racks as what a dishwasher would cost, I elected to buy a new dishwasher instead. I bought the model one step down from the top of the line and used it 3 times and today the pump tries to empty the water and it cant. It keeps starting and stopping every 10 seconds or so. I am so disappointed as KitchenAid always was a very reliable brand. I guess they just dont make things the way they used to but they should at least make it the first week after purchase. We purchased all new appliances for our new house about 2 years ago. After almost a year this refrigerator went downhill fast. Out of nowhere, the ice machine quit working. Then we went to the refrigerator one day and all of our food in the freezer and refrigerator had gone bad because at some point it just quit cooling. We got a KitchenAid service tech out to fix it. Turns out it was some sort of sensor that went out. The ice machine never worked like it originally did. Now, this hunk of junk is acting up again. The water/ice is not working, the control panel is not responding, and the interior lights will not come on. I wish I had gone with a different brand. I hate to replace this refrigerator because it matches all the appliances in our kitchen. This refrigerator was way too expensive to be having this many problems.

After reading all of the negative reviews about Whirlpools Customer Service, I felt I had to post my very positive experience. We purchased a KitchenAid Architect series refrigerator in April 2015. Unfortunately, it turned out be a defective fridge which would not be repaired. We had several visits to repair the unit since it simply would not defrost, and several different technicians, but in the end they couldnt fix the problem. I was quite apprehensive about what resolution would be offered and was ready for a big battle. To my surprise, Whirlpool (KitchenAid) Customer Service couldnt have been better. They offered me an exchange or a complete refund without hesitation. Even through my repairs, each call was handled promptly and efficiently. I have no complaints and even though this refrigerator didnt turn out to be what I had hoped for, I would not hesitate to purchase a KitchenAid appliance again in the future.

I am a very dissatisfied customer! I bought a KitchenAid Side-by-Side with Ice Dispenser Refrigerator (Model #KSRV22FVSS04) on 10/22/11 and have had to have 3 service calls within the warranty period (now about to end 1 year later) on the same problem with the ice dispenser. The dispenser chute mechanism is not strong enough to always close and will remain open and not properly dispense ice. When that happens, this allows warm air to get up into the auger mechanism and freeze it up completely, and water flows all over the floor. With the first service call, it was identified that we had been delivered an older model that had a design flaw in the chute mechanism that the company knew about, but didnt fix, and was also missing a part that had to be ordered and replaced in March 2012. We have maintained as per the manual, so any references to any manual maintenance are not applicable to this problem. However, on October 4, 2012, the same problem happened again, and I came home from work to find a leaking mess all over my kitchen floor again! I called their Customer Care for service, but they were unable to get someone right there for 2 days, and I had to take care of the mess to prevent damage to my kitchen walls and floor again! When the service person did come out today, they did not diagnose the problem correctly, and I still have this problem! To make matters worse, I immediately called KitchenAids Customer Care phone (now I understand why they are experiencing high call volumes) and again waited for 15 minutes, only to have to talk with a very rude Selicia who was unwilling to assist me in resolving my ongoing problem. When I asked to talk to her supervisor, Joetta came on the line and continued with the same rude, snobbish, refuse-to-assist-you attitude, almost calling me a liar; and when I requested for the service repair to come back out and fix the problem, she refused. She also refused to forward me to anyone else to enable me to resolve my customer complaint. For over 20 years, I had GE appliances, including a refrigerator with an ice dispenser, and never had any problems. This KitchenAid Refrigerator is my first and will be my last (and I will never buy another appliance that has the name, KitchenAid) because they sell inferior products that dont work as they are advertised, then they refuse to stand behind their products, and they do nothing to ensure good customer service and satisfaction. I will also be telling everyone I know about my horrible KitchenAid Experience and hopefully prevent others from falling victim to KitchenAids poor quality and service.

We remodeled our kitchen in Aug. 2018 and bought matching, higher-end KitchenAid appliances to replace all the old ones. Nine months after installation, the upper rack in the dishwasher (Model #KDTE334GPS0) collapsed due to failed spot welds on the left-side rail. The welded areas were also very rusty. Luckily, the 1-year warranty had not expired yet and we were able to get the part replaced for free. But today the same top rack rail broke again due to the same failed spot welds! The weld sites are covered with rust again, just like before. Since the dishwashers warranty has expired, we will have to order the replacement part and fix it ourselves (for $44 with shipping) or hire an appliance repairman (not cheap). Ive had much less expensive dishwashers that lasted 15 years with no problems, including rails that that never broke. I would never waste my money on an overpriced KitchenAid appliance again. Maybe they should stick to stand mixers (mine is still working after 27 years).

In convection mode, it would not finish a cycle and had to be reset over and over to complete a cycle. KitchenAid replaced this one, but it froze up and could not be cleared to use it again. On December 22, they sent a third one and it also froze up. Today they replaced the entire keypad and electronic motherboard, but it would not work at all. After 2 years my KitchenAid Dishwasher model #KUDC10IXBL2 needed a new circuit board replacement. We had an extended service contract - great you would think, but not so. After replacement, we had water leaking from the dishwasher. Now my hardwood floors are lifting and I have bowls under the door to catch leaking water. This is after numerous repairs of the gasket. KitchenAid does not take responsibility for damage done to your personal property. KitchenAid also contracts with a repair company called A&E. A&E gives you a time frame for repair between 8 am and 5 pm, so to say the least we have lost out on vacation time as we need to take a day off for repair. Each time the repair guy comes additional damage is done - most times they forget to have ordered the necessary parts, so need to reschedule to come back out. This last time I phone KitchenAid who told me the service guy could deem the appliance a lemon, however the service guy told us they would not allow him to do this. A&E has put into repairs on this dishwasher over $800 and we paid $535 for the item. Last week A&E came out again, it ran well before they left. The next day I went to run the dishwasher and bolts popped off and the unit gushed water. Seriously! My recommendation would be research your product well, not purchase a service contract through KitchenAID and ask if the service repair company contracted with is A&E. Bad experience and the poorest customer service ever!

A little less than three years, we bought a high-end KitchenAid stove at Sears in Sarnia. I cook and bake a lot. I like to use the convection oven as well. However, right from the start, the fan seemed to be kind of noisy. When, after a cleaning cycle, the door did not open, I was very upset. They came out to repair it, and the repairman suggested that I should not clean it on a long weekend. He fixed it and the very bend fan from the convection.Today, remembering the affair, I did all my baking first and did the self cleaning. Once again, the door did not open at the end of the cycle; the front panel is also not lit at all. Paying this much money for an appliance and have such a let down is intolerable. Why is there no recall of such non-functioning appliance? These stoves should be taken back. I need to call them to come out and fix it once again. I have never had such unreliable appliance in all my life and I am certainly not recommending KitchenAid to anyone.

Our 3 year old, $3100.00 refrigerator is leaking water from the bottom. When checking it further, I found a layer of ice that had formed under the freezer drawer. I removed it once last week and rearranged the frozen food to ensure adequate circulation of air around the entire freezer drawer. Well, this morning, once again, the water is on the floor and ice under the drawer. WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THIS PROBLEM? All kitchen appliances are KitchenAid and this is the only one with problems, so far.

We purchased KitchenAid KUDS30IVWH3 a year and a half ago from Lowe’s. All new dishwashers have a new connector that hooks the water supply to dishwasher. It simply screws onto a plastic piece. Over time this connector simply came loose. It flooded our kitchen and laundry room which has been three months of restoration - new floors, rebuilt cabinets, etc. And it cost many thousands of dollars for the insurance company. It has been a serious problem. The plumber said these new connectors are not safe and he gets nervous every time he installs one. He said they cannot be refit with a different connector. I am the second person he has had with major flooding in the home due to the new connectors. He said the European dishwashers still have the old brass connectors.

I will never buy a KitchenAid appliance again. Our warranty just ran out and the fridge stopped working. We call certified repair and were told that the Tsunami had destroyed their plant and they no longer had the parts in order to repair the fridge. They told me they could rebuild the board but no guarantee would be given for the part and it would take anywhere from 2-3 months to rebuild. The fridge was 5 years and two months old. This is the worst customer service I have ever been given and the most rude responses by the executive offices. I will never - repeat never buy another appliance by KitchenAid or Whirlpool again. Buyer Beware!!!!

KitchenAid Model KUDS30IXBL Purchased from Lowes 3-29-14. Within a few months of purchase, the top rack wheel broke off. Within 2 years, it would cancel and drain within 15 minutes of start up. This began just before Thanksgiving. :( Repairman came out since we purchased the warranty and replaced the rack holder with new metal parts and the front computer. First load of dishes after repair, it cancelled and drained within 15 minutes of start up. Id rather go back to old fashioned nobs and dials.

I have purchased two KitchenAid gas ranges (yes, I should have learned my lesson the first time!). Both have been seriously problematic. Within a year of purchase, both locked up when I cleaned them for the first time, and I could not use them without a tech coming to my house to repair. One of those ranges had a faulty fan which did damage to another part due to overheating during the cleaning process, which resulted in damage to other parts! Most recently, the electronic range control on my Architect II went on my three-year-old gas range. So back to the repair techs. I will never purchase another KitchenAid stove. Based upon my experience and that of others, they are simply poorly manufactured and not reputable. Repair costs are ridiculous and I am thinking of replacing mine due to the high repair costs and lack of faith in this happening once again, at a time when I really need to use the stove!

I attempted to cook a baked potato in our KitchenAid over the range microwave (KHMS2040WSS). Please note that using the sensor setting was nothing new to me, I have used the Baked Potato sensor setting many times before with good results. This last time though went horribly wrong, the potato wasnt baked when I returned, it was charred to a black ash. It wasnt even recognizable as a potato. The microwave safe dinner plate that it was on had cracked into pieces and started to adhere to the glass rotating dish. The rotating glass dish itself fractured right at the center and the plastic pivot almost entirely melted. The white interior was stained dark gray with smoke soot. I called Sears because the microwave is only 11 months old. Sears sent out an appliance specialist from A&E Service. The A&E technician performed a few tests and found the appliance was working properly and had not malfunctioned. The finding was that it was my fault as the consumer. My next call was to Whirlpool customer service at 1-800-253-1301. They were unable to help for two days because no report from A&E was available. Finally on day three, the office at 1-800-253-1301 called A&E and got the report. Then the Whirlpool representative stated they were not going to assist because it was found that the potato caught on fire not the microwave. I asked for a supervisor and was transferred to another office (I know it was another office because the toll free number changed to 1-866-640-7146). At any rate, after an hour long call which truly amounted to wheel spinning, the supervisor agreed to call A&E again to see if any other options were available. Much later that same day, he left a voice mail stating that Whirlpool would help with the cost of parts. Ugh, I am so upset! The microwave is virtually new and I didnt choose how long to cook the potato, it was supposed to sense this and cook it accordingly. I have had $99 microwaves perform for years without incident. Then you really think that you are doing yourself a favor by branding up to KitchenAid and paying the extra cash for nothing. Has anyone else had this experience where the sensor setting overcooking something to the point of charring, smoke, fire etc? Have you contacted Whirlpool and if so, with what result? I feel that they should at minimum fully restore the microwave for no cost. Optimally, I would like to have a new microwave or a full reimbursement.

I bought this KitchenAid Refrigerator in February 2017 for almost 8000 dollars. I had my first problem in April. My food was freezing in my refrigerator. When the Technician came he said that the temperature board has a defect and needs to be changed. The same problem occurred in August and after having the Technician come to my house 6 times and changed couple things I called customer service to find a solution. They said that they will send another technician for a second opinion and that he needs to call their tech line and document the problem and they will replace my refrigerator after that. When the technician came and called and told them about the food in my freezer that is showing ice flakes because of the change of temperature they told him that this was normal and I need to vacuum my food and because the reading of the temperature was zero in the freezer and 37 in my fridge everything is running normal. When I called customer service again they said that they are not technicians. They need to send another one over and when I asked what is next step they said they cant give me an answer. The temperature change on its own. Sometimes it goes to -18 in my freezer sometimes to 32 in my fridge and sometimes 55 and for them everything is running normal. I cant put any food in my fridge and I am stuck with this defected fridge because they refuse to replace it even if it is a 6 months old one. Please let me know what kind of company is this and what kind of product are they selling. Does anybody know of any way I can get this refrigerator replaced?

In December, 2013, I purchased a replacement dishwasher for my then 20 year
In December, 2013, I purchased a replacement dishwasher for my then 20 year old KitchenAid. Shortly after it was installed, we discovered that the handle was improperly attached and one end stuck out, catching on clothes and tearing them. KitchenAid informed me, That was just the way it was on some units. I found that unsatisfactory, so they sent a technician out who basically did nothing. I called the retailer, who replaced the unit completely with a new dishwasher within a couple of weeks. The new unit was installed in January, 2014. It came with a one year manufacturers warranty, and I purchased an extended warranty good through 2019. Since we are at our second home much of the time, and use this dishwasher twice weekly on average, we thought we would be safe with the new unit, which had a properly installed handle, by the way. No such luck. Shortly before Thanksgiving, 2015, while the unit was less than two years old, the top pull-out drawer fell down, landing on the dishes below. We removed the top drawer/pull out unit, and tried running it without the top drawer, but no luck. The unit would not operate without the top drawer. I called the warranty company, Bankers Insurance. They dont cover mechanical parts, I was told. So I called KitchenAid, and the wait was so long I was directed to their website, where I was instructed to enter my zip code to find a service technician. So I did, and the results? NO SERVICE in my area... impossible to believe, with over a million people in my greater metro area! Nonetheless, I contacted the retailer, who gave me the name of a service company. Their technician came out today, took one look, and said that the problem was a repetitive one, a defective part that KitchenAid was replacing with metal parts. No more plastic -- they had so many issues with this part that they were in most cases repairing the defective parts at no charge. That of course, was not my luck when I called KitchenAid. Nope, no replacement. We are not showing any problems with that model! Exact words. Not their problem! But they would be happy to direct my call to the parts department where I could order the parts, and pay for them, of course. I spent over a thousand dollars on this dishwasher, it gets light use, is less than two years old, and it wont run without a cheap plastic pull out part that will cost me well in excess of $200 to replace, because they only sell the entire mechanism. My biggest regret? I specified KitchenAid for my dishwasher in my second home. Trust me, they are not what they used to be, nor is their customer service department.

Our experience with all of our KITCHENAID large appliances has been very disappointing. Quality for price is zero. We have repaired our dishwasher 8 times in 8 years. To the point where the repairman is like an old friend! Our other KitchenAid appliances have had multiple repairs as well. Suffice it to say we will never buy another KitchenAid large appliance or anything else made by Whirlpool. I would rather pay more. Especially when all in I have paid the equivalent of a top of the line dishwasher for a piece of rubbish!

On June 12, 2004 we bought four appliances from your business which at the time totaled $5,200.33. During the first year and beyond we had problems with the fridge with too much cooling on both sides. After numerous calls and service calls to troubleshoot and repair the fridge, Whirlpool agreed to scrap and replace with a similar model on 12/28/05 (see attached). Unfortunately the same problem has now occurred again with the replaced refrigerator. I appreciate that the item is no longer covered by the manufacturer’s guarantee as it was bought/replaced six years ago. However, the Sale of Goods Act 1979 makes it an implied term of the contract that goods be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. As the item has broken down well in advance of its normal life expectancy and has not been misused in any way, we regard the item as being of unsatisfactory quality in respect of its durability. I am, therefore, asking you to repair the item free of charge or to replace it with a similar model/finish, and more importantly one which is working properly. I want either a repair or replacement model (similar) that works well and as advertised. As a result of the problem fridge, we have thrown out hundreds of dollars worth of perished foods over the years.

We purchased our KitchenAid refrigerator in April 2015. This model has 2 French doors and a bottom freezer. We woke up to a wet floor this morning, with everything thawing in the freezer. We called KitchenAid and were told about their Goodwill Repair that covers appliances purchased between 12 and 18 months ago for a service charge of $94.95. Great we thought. Then were told they cant get anyone to our house for 5 days. Useless. We had the same problem 6 months ago, but assumed we had left the freezer door open. Not the case. Kitchen-Aid model KUDE70FXSS4 - This dishwasher has a problem with the top rack that keeps rolling out when trying to load dishes into the bottom rack. I’m unable to adjust the level to allow the top drawer to stay in place because the rear of the washer has wheels and they have no height adjusters, and you cannot raise the front using the adjusters provided because it is as high as it can go, as the counter top will not allow further height adjustment.I noticed a part on the top drawer that connects to the water system for the top rack rotating spray wand had protruding plastic fingers that fit into female slots in the back of the washer. The fingers did not have any detents that would hold the rack in place. I added a detent to each finger, and now when you push the rack in, it locks it in place. They must have forgotten to include this in their design. If they would have provided adjusters on the back wheels, we could have lowered the back and the top rack would have stayed in position by gravity. However, I think the added detents to the fingers is a better solution as this locks the rack in place and gravity allows the rack to stay out when loading dishes. I hope this helps anyone else that has this same problem.

Do not, I repeat, do not but a KitchenAid dishwasher... unless you expect to pay thousands of dollars to own it. I have model # KUD5301xbtr bought in 2011. Within 4 months, I had 4 service calls to replace a fuse. At that time, KitchenAid told me I was trying to get a new dishwasher. Gee, told them I had a new dishwasher - just wanted it to work. Finally it was fixed. I use the term fixed loosely. It quit again in early 2013, they would only offer me a new maintenance contract. But the company that does the maintenance contract were total jerks. Let me explain, what I called them about they recorded in their records to make it sound like one thing to their advantage. The long and short of this - the poor dishwasher will be taking space up in a local landfill. I have had my fill. I bought the dishwasher for $700+, and then add all the service agreements; it has become a $1,000 dishwasher that does not work. And KitchenAid will not admit there is a problem. DONT BUY A KITCHENAID!!!

Its a beautiful piece of junk! I bought Stainless steel model #KGRA806PSS on January 2006. The first service call was on January 2007; second on January 2008; third on April 2008. Of course, my fourth service call is now past the 5 year warranty. The igniter would click forever and then go out. Three times Ive had the electronic replaced. Oven would preheat, come to temperature then would lose heat and never reheat past 275. I didnt dare use the self-cleaning feature after reading the horror stories of glass shattering or doors locking or burning the electric board out. Anyways, we called KitchenAid and after being told that they never have had complaints about this range, we told them that they should try looking at the complaints registered online. Well, since this would be the fourth service call about the same problem, they would send a service technician out and if its the same problem, they would pro rate a new stove. The service technician just called and said that hes on the way out and did you know that there is a $135 service charge? No, I will not pay the service call, after all Kitchenaid called and set up the call and Im not paying another dime on this $1500 money pit!Buyer beware. KitchenAid is no longer a customer friendly company and they do not stand behind their product. If they resolve this, I will report back but as my husband is on the phone and it doesnt sound promising, you probably will not be hearing anything more on this piece of junk!

While wiping out the interior of the upper oven to my KitchenAid Electric Double Oven Range, after completing a 2.5 hour self-cleaning process and the cool down period, I noticed an area of the blue interior coating (enamel?) began chipping away. The oven is less than one year old and under warranty. A service person inspected the oven, stated this part is not removable for replacement or repair. The service person telephoned in the concern and was informed of a patch/repair paint kit and said it will be shipped to me. However, it was suggested I contact KitchenAid directly if I found this solution to be unsatisfactory. After the departure of the service person, I inspected the chipped area further. Cracking was noticed on both sides of the chipped area that extends out an inch to an inch and a half on each side causing concern that the issue will continue.KitchenAid customer service was contacted and this manufacturing defect was reported. The KitchenAid customer service representative stated that KitchenAid is not able to provide any help or assistance with this issue since these material and workmanship defects are excluded from warranty coverage after 30 days from the date of purchase.

New fridge delivered 1/30/19. 2/9/19 freezer completely covered in ice, day 15 freezer still not properly working. Called Kit Aid/Whirlpool & they said “we’re slammed”. They couldn’t tell me if it was in warranty. Told me to look at my manual. After many calls, a new fridge was delivered. They took fridge out of box to find one upper door was significantly damaged. Their answer was to take door off the one being returned & replace the damaged door. 8 months later freezer items are melting & refrigerator temp goes to 45 degrees. Thermostat is replaced. January 2020 freezer drawer & ice very loose. Won’t stay in place- another service call. February 2020 everything in freezer is melted again-another service call. Now, there is rust on the outside of the freezer door, and the top left door doesn’t seal well at all. The seals on both sides are torn. I was told that might be expected on a 15 year old appliance but certainly not on an 18 mos old fridge. I suspect when they swapped out the door from the broken fridge it didn’t fit correctly. Also, KA said I must have used abrasive cleaners & brushes for the rust to appear. That has never happened. We have been extremely careful to use only water and soft cloth to wipe. Their insinuation is insulting.I have been given names, emails, phone #s at Whirlpool, at All South Appliance etc. The customer service is lousy, non-exsistent in fact. After sending multiple pictures to different people, I have been told they cannot extend warranty coverage (I had been told twice that was probably how it would be handled). To say I am irate is an understatement. Never buy a KA. It doesn’t matter that you spent $3000 for what you expected to be high quality. It is junk and corporate KA/Whirlpool could care less.

Bought a KitchenAid dishwasher (Mod KUDS35FXWH8 Ser F24801339) and clips holding the top rack on its rails broke within months of purchase, causing top rack to partially or fully collapse very often. Been living with this for the past several years. Too much spent and too much hassle to replace, as Id have to break tile to replace the unit. Very disappointed. Done with KitchenAid, as if a fairly premium model uses cheap plastic that cant support a top dish rack with normal use, then I have to question the quality of the entire unit. My thinking is that if they do not have the right people, process and engineering sense to add .05 to the cost of key parts in a dishwasher that would allow it to endure at least an average life without breaking, then why should I trust that they would have skills and sense to make the rest of the unit last an average life. KitchenAid made an extra .05-.10 cents on my purchase and lost potentially hundreds or thousands of future customers as a result. Word of mouth, bad online reviews, Consumer Affairs notice... will lead to this. KitchenAid: time for a change.

My new KitchenAid double wall oven exploded 1 1/2 hour into the self-clean cycle. Shattered glass flew out the oven, spraying all over my kitchen and out into other rooms of the house. I couldnt get near it to shut it off, because glass shards kept recirculating in the convection oven out the vent. So I ran out to shut off the circuit breaker. I spent 2 hours cleaning up the mess. I vacuumed out, but the glass in both ovens that is stuck in gaskets surrounding doors spills out of hinges every time I open the door. I want a new oven, because I dont want glass shards in my food; and what is going to happen when I run the cycle on the bottom oven? It is a miracle no one got hurt, except for the cut on my daughters foot from a small piece I missed. I am scared to death, and I havent had an oven to cook with for my family since it happened in May. I have already spoken to my lawyer.

My brand new Kitchen Aid KBLS22KWMS arrived yesterday. Its a bottom freezer, single top door model. The bottom deli drawer kept sticking every time I opened it, so I took the drawers out, to try to find the problem. Thats when I saw that the molded plastic, on which rests the shelf supports on the deli and crisper doors, was very thin, and could be pushed in with just normal pressure from my finger. One of the supports was dented in already. Crisper drawers and the deli drawer are held by plastic frames, with no metal at all. Only the top shelves have full metal support. All the plastic is really shoddy workmanship. I have no faith that this fridge will last even a year, much less 5. Its going back to Lowes tomorrow. I had thought that Kitchen Aid was supposed to be a higher end appliance from Whirlpool. Now I will not buy another Whirlpool owned product.

We purchased a KitchenAid range/oven, model # KGRS505XSS approximately 3 years ago. This is a gas unit, running on propane. Since we dont have supplied gas, in conjunction with the purchase, we had installed a propane tank, and supply line. Total cost, just over $3,000. Since purchase, we have had service for breakdowns 3 times, and I am currently taking time off from work for the fourth breakdown. The machine is out of warranty. My wife is meticulous with her equipment, and we purchased this based on other KitchenAid appliances purchased (albeit many years ago). UNEQUIVOCALLY, THIS IS THE WORST APPLIANCE PURCHASE I HAVE EVER MADE! We have repeatedly contacted the manufacturer to address the issues. The local appliance dealer, KLECKNER APPLIANCES, has REFUSED to help other than sending a paid tech. to address each breakdown. They refer us to the manufacturer. In my latest contact with them, they offered a PAID WARRANTY, TO THE TUNE OF $350. All aspects of this experience have been horrible. We host a number of family functions, and my wife is petrified that this appliance will break down Thanksgiving morning! From the appliance dealer to the customer service people at KitchenAid, not one individual has agreed that the breakdowns (complete, loss of use of one or more burner, now oven non working) that this should not happen, nor has anyone offered to address the situation, other than to send the tech. for what will probably not be less than $200. NOT CONSIDERING MY COST OF TIME...I STRONGLY URGE THOSE CONSIDERING THIS, OR EVEN OTHER KITCHENAID MODELS, TO LOOK ELSEWHERE. I read a post where someone said their KitchenAid fridge had finally broken
I read a post where someone said their KitchenAid fridge had finally broken down after 15 years and that it served her well. Major appliances used to last decades, and still should last that long. Think about how much you pay for them 15 years is nothing. Our fridge has a pull down bin in the door that pops open every time we open the door. Even with nothing inside, rendering the space useless. Plus, the bottom of the freezer pools with water which then turns to ice making it impossible to close the freezer door. So far I have had to unplug it and thaw it out five times. If that sounds like nothing, remember you have to put all your groceries somewhere. Tonight instead of enjoying the beautiful summer evening, I made many trips up and down the basement stairs bringing groceries back into the fridge. My oven is also a mess. The knobs get so hot that my friend burned her arm on them. I cant imagine how this passed inspection. NOT SAFE if a toddler was around. Thats okay because she was in the middle of a remodel and was considering my oven until that happened, and I filled her in on the rest. Also, the back panel on the stove is made of resin! I thought it was stainless in the store. So needless to say it is peeling. I guess that is the reason they had the stupid idea to put the smaller burners in the back and the mega burners in front. So much fun trying to reach over a large pot of boiling water to stir a small saucepan in back. Does KitchenAid have third graders designing their appliances??? Clearly not someone who has any knowledge of a cooks needs. I will never purchase anything by KitchenAid ever again. Not even a can opener.

If your dishes have a white film on them - that isnt the dishwasher. That means you have hard water, complain to your water company. To get the film off your dishes, put three cups of white vinegar in the bottom of your dishwasher and put your dishwasher soap in as usual on run your cycle. The best brand out there to help get rid of hard water spots on the glassware is Finish Brand Quantum tablets.

We bought a KitchenAid dishwasher 2 1/2 years ago and the motor just stopped working. The repair guy was even surprised. After calling KitchenAid, they would not help with anything... not one penny. The woman I spoke to was so apologetic and felt my aggravation. But, thats no consolation. I would never purchase another KitchenAid product, again.

Some of the settings are confusing but this microwave is easy to clean. Its lightweight and space saving but a better color choices. The turntable mechanical can use a upgrade and for the price a square plate for cooking would be wonder considering the price.

We bought all KitchenAid appliances for our new home just under 10 years ago. The dishwasher lasted just 2 years before it needed replacing! Now the refrigerator leaks water everywhere! We found a sheet of ice under the freezer drawers…no drain plug or anything! It appears the ice was melting all over the kitchen floor! It will cost more to have someone come out to fix it than it would to just buy another appliance!! We’re buying a new LG refrigerator that Consumer Reports gives rave reviews! Staying away from KitchenAid forever!
