Purchased LG Fridge December 18, 2015. The fridge broke down June 2019! The product is less than 3 1/2 years old. Had to throw all of the content within the fridge and freezer $500 in groceries. Customer service experience was so stressful. Customer service department for LG Canada is located in Panama. The customer service representatives lack experience, cannot answer any simple questions. They put the customer on hold for a very long period of time and most importantly the customer service representatives are NOT FLUENT IN ENGLISH!!!! The conversation was very, very difficult. I would never purchase a LG appliance. Caution when purchasing.
I purchased the LG Dishwasher LSDS4821ST on Nov 30, 2008. I have only used it 3 times since 2008. The dishwasher left too much water in the machine after drying the dishes. The dishes also were not clean nor were they dry. I did call for service during the warranty period only to be told that the left over water is normal, and that the dishes were air dried with a new lg system. The few times that I used the washer I had to clean the excess water at the bottom of the inside of the machine. The dishes were also wet. The last straw was when the dish soap dispenser would not open. That was in 2013, and I have not used it since. The LG customer service gives you the run-around. I have an LG washer and dryer with plenty of problems. Do not buy LG anything, not even a phone.
Refrigerator: Model No. LFX31945ST 3-door LG Ice & Water Stainless Steel 28 Serial No. 207KRWZ0A593 purchased on 09/16/2012 from hhgregg 1321 Huguenot Rd. Midlothian, VA 23112. Contacted LG Service Department on 07-01-13 Ref: Ice Maker. 07-03-13 Service Technician came out and ran a diagnostic on unit, determined that compressor was bad and had to order one. 07-06-13 9:20 PM Contacted service center and was advised that technician was due on Monday 07-08-13 between 8:00 AM and 12 Noon to replace compressor. 07-09-14 Contacted service center about noise coming from back of refrigerator. They advised that this was normal. 08-15-14 Contacted service center about noise coming from back of refrigerator. They advised that this was normal. Unknown date contacted service center concerning error codes âer rfâ on display unit. Technician scheduled to come out on 10-01-14.10-01-14 Service technician arrived to check on noise and cooling issues. Coil and fan motor frozen with ice. As technician was removing inside grille to get to fan he broke the grille. He defrosted the ice from the fan motor and replaced the grille with one he had in his truck. Set temperature for refrigerator to +34 degrees and temperature for freezer to -1 degree. He wrote up the service ticked and charged $81.98 for the âDuct Assembly, Multi (item number: **)â that he broke plus the $120 for service call plus $4.34 tax on the replacement grille part. 10-06-14 Sent Fax to a ** in the Alabama location concerning telephone conversation in which he advised LG would reimburse me for the cost of the repair part plus the tax. Fax included cover sheet, two page service ticket and copy of purchase order from hhgregg.10-22-14 Called service center and after a 20 minute hold to verify my status, was advised that I should hear from Alabama around November 3rd. 07-10-15 Around 4:52 PM Eastern Time, called service center and advised them that freezer was not freezing (temperature was 62 degrees and rising) and that all food in freezer had spoiled. Furthermore, the refrigerator temperature was almost 70 degrees and food had spoiled. Additionally the unit was making a loud motor noise in the rear of the unit. After trying to explain the issue over and over again I requested to speak to a supervisor. I was placed on hold for 38 minutes and 26 seconds until I disconnected the call from my cell phone, but not before I had called the service center again from my house phone. It was only after I explained everything again that I was informed that the executive staff (supervisors) department closed at 5:00 PM and that I could not run the âSmart Diagnosticâ over the telephone because all of the service technicians in their department had also gone at 5:00 PM, that I would have to call back tomorrow on 7-11-15. The service center advised me that the service warranty had expired and any service call would be $120.00 plus parts. This was mentioned on three different times during the call. I did manage to schedule an appointment for a technician to come to the house on Monday, 7-13-15 between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Total time on the telephone service call was 58 minutes and 44 seconds.7-11-15 Called the service center again and had to explain everything that I explained twice the night before. After requesting to run the âSmart Diagnosticâ I was placed on hold then performed the diagnostic. After a delay they informed me that the diagnostic did not come through and we had to do it again. Once that went through I asked what it showed and was told that they did not know, that someone from the technical staff had to review it. They told me that they could schedule a technician to come out to the house on Tuesday afternoon on 7-/14/15 but there would be a $120.00 service call charge plus the cost of any parts. I then asked to speak to a supervisor and they asked me what that was about. Finally after going back and forth with them I was placed on hold for about 12 minutes before a supervisor identified as ** came on the line. She asked what the problem was and then placed me on hold while she brought up my file on her computer. That took another 5 plus minutes. Finally after explaining everything to her about the previous night and current call she placed a one-time extended warranty on the unit and gave me an authorization number of: **. She advised that she could get a technician out on Tuesday afternoon 7/14/15 and when I told her that I had one already scheduled for 7/13/15 she confirmed it. This call was then terminated after 58 minutes and 11 seconds.7-13-15 Contacted by service technician at 3:12 PM who advised that he would be arriving in about 20 minutes. He asked what I thought was wrong with the unit and I replied that I thought that the compressor had gone bad. I explained the temperature readings and the noise it was making. He stated that if it was in fact a bad compressor that he could not fix it today as he did not have one with him and would have to order one. He arrived at 3:38 PM, removed the lower back grill panel to access the compressor and noticed a lot of dust on the evaporator coils. I asked him if I was supposed to remove the rear access grille to try and clean the coils and he advised against it stating that it could damage the vanes on the coils. He went back out to his truck to get his gauges and checked the compressor which he determined was bad. He advised that he was fully booked for tomorrow, Tuesday, 7/14/15 but would press his schedule and plug me in on the end of the day. He departed at 4:04 PM advising that he would call when he was on his way out to replace the compressor. 7-14-15 Around 1:23 PM service technician ** called to advise he was on his way. Compressor delivered via FEDEX this afternoon and left at the garage door. Technician arrived at 1:30 PM, completed compressor swap and departed at 3:30 PM.06-04-16 Noticed that items inside the refrigerator were not as cold and normal that that on several occasions milk and dairy products were spoiling before the âBest if Used Byâ dates. The inside temperature of unit felt cool and not cold. Placed thermometer inside the refrigerator portion of the unit and began taking readings. Also noticed that freezer unit was not as cold as it should be also. Placed thermometer inside the freezer unit and began taking readings as well. Temperature settings on the panel are set the same as the technician left them on his last visit on 7/14/15. Refrigerator set to 34 degrees and freezer set to -1 degrees.06-05-16 At 9:00 AM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 48 degrees on a dial-type thermometer and freezer showing 5 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-05-16 At 3:00 PM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 50 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 8 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-05-16 At 9:30 PM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 46 degrees on a dial-type dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 7 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-06-16 At 10:00 AM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 48 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 8 degrees on a digital thermometer.06-06-16 At 11:32 AM called LG toll free number (800-243-0000) received recording and sent link for self-diagnostic. Performed self-diagnostic as per link and advised to contact LG repair at (866-558-2559). Refrigerator was showing 50 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 6 degrees on a digital thermometer.06-06-16 At 12:10 PM called LG toll free number and automated system advised they would call back within the next two hours. At 12:15 PM was connected to a Customer Service Rep in the Philippines. I requested several times to be connected to an American Customer Service Rep in the United States but was told three times that there were no US representative at their location. After my fourth attempt I was placed on hold. At 12:18 PM the Philippine rep came back on the line and advised that they did not have a US contact number. I requested to speak to a supervisor and when queried as to why I explained that I wanted to speak to a US rep and that her service center should have a number. She put me on hold again. At 12:21 PM she came back on the line to advise she will transfer me to a supervisor. At 12:27 transferred to ** in the Alabama office. After trying to explain my issues with her she placed me on hold several times explaining they are using new software programs and have glitches. She is trying to plug in the extended warranty on the unit. She returned on the line to advise that she had scheduled the technician ** to come out between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM under Authorization Number **. She further advised that this authorization included the service call plus parts and labor. ** also provided a direct number to the Alabama Service Center at **. The telephone contact was terminated after 50 minutes and 47 seconds at 1:00 PM.06-07-16 At 11:15 AM received call from Service Tech who advised that he would be out within the next 15 â 30 minutes. He arrived at 11:35 and performed a refrigeration pressure check on the system. He stated that it appeared there is a leak at one of the coil joints where the copper joins the aluminum. He indicated that the High Side pressure dropped 30 psi with no movement on the Low Side and that indicates a leak somewhere in the system. He further stated that much drop could indicate only a ½ charge or less of coolant presently in the system. He explained that there was a company issue with ordering parts to have them overnighted to the customer. Lately the parts have been shipped to him which delays service. He stated that the parts he needs will be overnighted to me and should be here NLT 10:30 AM tomorrow, Wednesday, June 8th. He has scheduled an appointment for Thursday at 1:00 PM just to be safe and at present he only has one appointment for tomorrow. If I receive the parts tomorrow morning I am to give him a call and he will work me into his Wednesday schedule. He indicated that the job would take several hours to complete (Of note: He asked me if I was removing the rear access panel to blow out dust and vacuum the coil area. I told him that on 7-13-15 I asked him if I was supposed to remove the rear access grille to try and clean the coils and he advised against it stating that it could damage the vanes on the coils. He told me that he did not say that, that he highly recommends the customer remove the rear access grille and try to blow out the dust and debris, then vacuum the debris up, just being careful not to get near the vanes or coils.). After placing the order for the parts to be shipped/overnighted here he departed at 12:05PM.06-08-16 At unknown time, received call from Service Technician to advise that the FedEx tracking indicated that the parts he had ordered had arrived. I confirmed that and he indicated that he would be arriving sometime around 11:00 AM. He had ordered both a refrigerator coil and the freezer coil which had arrived and be commenced disassembling the inside of the refrigerator to swap out the refrigerator coil which he felt had a small leak on one of the connections. After steaming ice off of the end or the coil he replaced it with the new one. He then checked the pressurization on the lines and said that he was satisfied with the as it did not appear there were any leaks. After checking other things in the unit he packed up and departed advising that he would check back to see how the unit was performing.06-09-16 At 8:52 AM received a call from Service Technician, who was checking on the performance of the unit. I advised him that it did not appear to be cooling as he had predicted, that the freezer was in the teens and the refrigerator in the lower 40âs. He advised me to keep a check on it and he would schedule me for the first of the week. 06-12-16 At 3:14 PM received a call on answering machine from Service Technician who advised that he has me scheduled for Tuesday, 6-13-16 between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.06-13-16 At 2:07 PM received a call from Service Tech who advised he would be here within the next 10 - 15 minutes to check on the unit again. He arrived at approximately 2:25 PM and proceeded to first blow out the dust that had accumulated under the unit and on the coils which was minimal. He then began to test the system refrigerant and determined that it was not up to capacity. He then vacuumed the lines and added some additional Freon. He advised that it appeared that there was a little water in the line which he was able to purge. He indicated that the unit should work fine at this point with the cooling in the refrigerator set to 34 degrees and the freezer set to 0 degrees. I told him that I would continue to take temperature readings in both the refrigerator and freezer and if I noticed them not performing I would call him and let him know. After about 1 ½ hours of work he departed.06-14-16 At 8:53 AM received a call from Service Technician asking how the unit was performing. I texted him back at 11:39 AM advising that the refrigerator was at 37 degrees and the freezer was at 9 degrees. At 12:15 PM Service Technician called again to advise that he had mistakenly had a parts order sent to our house and wanted to know if was OK for him to come by and pick it up. I advised that it was not a problem. He asked about the refrigerator and I advised him that I would continue to monitor the temperatures several times during the day and evening for the next few days to see if the system performs as expected and would advise him of results. He advised that he will continue to check up on it and would be calling periodically. On 05-24-17 we returned home from an extended vacation to discover that the ice maker was not producing ice. Door was dispensing water but there was no ice in the door-side ice maker and therefore nothing to dispense. On 06-05-17 At 12:18 PM I contacted the Executive Offices in Alabama at ** to explain the issue I was having with the ice maker not working. The person I spoke with, whose name I failed to get, advised me that she would give me the number of the local service center to schedule an appointment for a technician to come out and diagnose the problem. There would be charges for the technician to come out, charges for the diagnostic, charges for parts and labor since the unit was past its one year warranty and had already been given a one- time courtesy and she was not going to issue another one. I was basically out of luck but could get it fixed through the technician with service call charges plus parts and labor. While the service technician was very personable and professional, that is the only thing good I can say about me experience with this company. The technician even told me on several occasions during his visits that the parts i.e. compressors, etc were inferior and the technicians were having all kinds of problems with them. With the experience that I have had in dealing with this company, I doubt that I will every purchase anything else with the LG label.
I like the capacity of this particular refrigerator. Its a nice size with great features that I use all the time. I like the fact it has an ice maker. I like choosing different kinds of ice. It also has cold water that tastes like bottle. I love it and wouldnt change anything. I like LG in general. I think the brand is underrated and reasonably priced. Other brands were too expensive and didnt offer the same features.
This has the same style filter as all of my previous dishwashers, but this ones filter assembly does not come apart for cleaning. When the glasses have sandy bits left on them I remove the lower spray arm and the water guide tube on the back and take out the grids, screens, and mesh screens in the bottom. After brushing and rinsing everything I put it back together and it is good to go for another 6-8 months. The problem with this unit is that the lower screens, grids, and mesh is one-piece. It does not come apart. There is trapped grunge inside and I can shake some of it out, but most of it remains trapped. I called the company. She just kept repeating the manual- It is self-cleaning, you do not need to clean it, removing it voids the warranty. The manager said to call the repair technician. I ordered her to send me to their service/repair department so they can advise me how to clean this unit. She said they wont speak to me unless I am an authorized technician with an official technician number. She kept trying to set me up with an appointment with a repairman- while telling me that the warranty wont cover this. I will have to rinse and shake the filter unit and hope I can get out; if not, I can order a new one from Sears for $60.
I bought the LG top loader 1 year ago. It hasnt washed my clothes properly since Ive had it. I always have dirt covered all over my clothes after, and have to wash them sometimes twice. Never can I wash blacks one time. I will never get another LG and when I called about it, I was told I needed to call some other number. When I went back to the store, I was told, Oh ,you probably arent putting enough clothes in it. Very disappointed and really would like my money back.
We purchased an LG LMV1813ST late July of 2012, but it was not used until late November of 2012. After we finally moved into our new house, we bought all new LG appliances totaling $5,500.00. On January 14th, we went to use the microwave and it would not heat anything. We have a technician coming out tomorrow. Not happy at all. It was used not even two months!
This washer leaves black streaks all over my clothes!!!
Until I replaced the thermostat, the oven was unable to maintain temperatures within 100 degrees. It now works fine. The center gas nozzle used for grilling has never worked and itâs really a pain in the butt trying to remove the top to gain access to it.
Bought a LG Top load washer less than 3 years ago for $720. Its constantly going out of balance several times every load you wash. Now the drive shaft broke and took out the wash plate as well. Despite the fact that the front of the washer has a 10 year warranty sticker plastered on the front of it LG refused to authorize the repair center to cover the parts under warranty, the cost of which is approx. $400-450. I called LG directly and they and talked to a technician first and she just kept telling me it was not her department and that she was only authorized to talk to the service repair company and not me.I had to beg to talk to a supervisor and had to wait forever to talk, for her to get on the line only to tell me that the 10 year warranty only covers the rotor and stator, not the drive shaft and basically told me I was SOL. Bottom line save yourself the heartache and money and dont ever buy a LG washer. They are JUNK and their customer service is non-existent!
LFC22760SW - My husband and I purchased a bottom freezer Refrigerator 2007 with a 5 year warranty. A month ago the lights stayed on in the refrigerator and we only noticed it when returning from shopping. There was a smell of burnt plastic in the kitchen. When opening the fridge we noticed that the lights stayed on. My husband immediately removed them and I called LG. They sent over a repair man which told me that the part would probably take two weeks and if longer LG would replace the fridge or pro-rate it. LG has had problems with this model of fridge and never sent us a recall letter during my 5 years of warranty. Now because it is 7 years they want to pro-rate it and take back the old fridge. They also told me that the part was no longer available. This is really unacceptable as a new fridge would cost $2000.00 plus tax, I paid $2000.00 plus tax plus 5 year warranty and they would give me $675.00. If you calculate it would have cost me $4000.00 over 7 years. It is quite unacceptable and I do not believe that I will be buying another LG in the near future.
Our LG LRBN22514ST refrigerator works fine, but the handles on the refrigerator AND the freezer have broken off! The handles are fine, but LG uses PLASTIC mountings that give out over time - really poor choice! Why not use metal mounts and charge a dollar or two more? Ive replaced the bottom refrigerator mount once, but now the part is no longer available - same as the freezer handle mount! Now the (otherwise) functioning refrigerator is difficult to open! Planned obsolescence? Good job at that!!
My LG range model Lre3021st broke at 1 year 1 month old and my LG refrigerator ice maker door broke about the same age. I guess Im out the LG business. Cheap junk. My dishwasher, microwave and toaster oven, not LG - not broken yet...
I purchased a LG over the range microwave in 2012. Within a year, the magnetron failed and microwave quit working. Warranty repaired it. Now the door switch has failed, microwave again does not work. Has been repaired but no longer on warranty and LG will not cover the cost. My microwave is mid range in cost approximately $500 and now it has cost me another $171. This is within 3 years. Pretty expensive I would say. I may as well have bought a low end generic model for a few hundred dollars. I would have had the same amount of use but without the cost. I will not be purchasing another LG appliance.
We purchased this refrigerator Dec. 15, 2014 its not a year old and still under the factory warranty. This is the second time that we have had this problem with the refrigerator not getting cold. May 2015 was the first time someone came out and adjusted the temperature, the same problem happen again around September 11, 2015 where it wasnt cooling or making ice. The day I got out of the hospital, I come home and everything in my freezer had thawed out and spoil. I began calling immediately but no one seems to put themselves in our shoes. We have been without a refrigerator since September 18th, 2015. Someone from Jebco in Saraland, AL. came out on September 23, 2015 said that he had to order a part and for us to unplug our refrigerator until he return on Monday September 28, 2015. Well Monday came, his clerk called to say that he would not be able to come on that day. I was so upset that I hung up on her, but later called back to apologize, later that day she called LG to inform them that she did not think I was satisfied with them QUOTE: Im not satisfied with anyone because everyone has a refrigerator and we dont. We are having to keep water in a cooler and having to go out to food because we cant put anything in the fridge. All we are asking is for them to give us another refrigerator, nobody seems to be able to accommodate for our loss. We are still paying for a broke down refrigerator, its notfair. I thought customers were always right and came first, well it seems that is not a true statement, because if it were true they should make sure that the customers are happy and satisfied to every extent.I am so dissatisfied with HHGregg and LG, I am letting everyone know not to deal with either one of them because they dont stand by their word of satisfying their customers. Is there anyone that can help me please come forward to give me some advices? We have spoken to so many peoples and nobody doing anything.
I think that LG refrigerators are the Bomb! I have had my refrigerator for 10 years without any problems. I have plenty of room to store fresh veggies and deli meats. Plus I have two drawers for freezer items. One of the drawers, the middle freezer drawer, I can put things in, like cakes or pies that need to be kept in a freezer part. Plus the bottom has two sections for other meat items that need to stay in a freezer part.
We purchased all LG appliances in 2012, I had to replace the microwave in 2015 and again in 2018, they just stopped working. This last one I had stopped working 1/2 thru cooking, the turntable stopped turning and it would not heat. 3 microwaves since 2012... These are not made to last, its sad, I liked it when it was working, I would not purchase this brand again... And when I complained to LG all I got told was, Sorry. Its not under warranty. JUNK.
I purchased a $1350.00 LG refrigerator. 3 years later it broke. The repairman came to fix it, told us it needed a part and he would order it for overnight shipping. Well, he lied. It has been five days now and he just told me it would be another few days before the part comes in. They blamed it on FedEx. I have lost hundreds of dollars of food, but does LG care? NO. At one point the repairman hung up on me. NEVER NEVER buy any LG product. Their service departments is rude and unreliable. Very upset and disappointed with everything about this company. You have been warned!!!
We recently purchased the LG front loading washing machine. After three months it flooded our floor. We spent thousands of dollars in water removal. Upon looking online we saw that many other LG customers had the same problem with this washer. LG customer support was horrid, rude and of no help at all. They could hardly care less about their customers. After being on hold for hours I was told that someone would contact us in 5 business days. We are basically out thousands of dollars and will just recycle the machine as we dont want to sell it and have this happen to someone else. It is essentially unworkable and still under warranty. Go figure... My score on this washer is a -5.
On August 25, 2019 my refrigerator started getting warmer and warmer. I called Sears repair but they only had an appointment two weeks out on September 10th so I took it. Thats a long time to go without a refrigerator. However, I read online that LG refrigerators have issues with their compressor so I decided to call LG direct to see if there was any warranty on my fridge I purchased in 2012. After the standard questions...the service agent provided me with a phone number of the local repair person for LG. I called Lilo and he was able to come out the very next day. He confirmed it was the compressor and then tested the motherboard to make sure the software would be compatible with the new compressor which it was, whew. I know there have been a lot of bad reviews here but I didnt have the same experience so I decided to take the time to post. Thank you for the help LG and I appreciate your service repair person here in Hawaii!
I purchased a new washer and dryer from Home Depot in June 2019. The washer broke in October, 5 months old. I called LG customer service on 11/4/19. The sent a repair man out the following day. He needed to order parts, and said they would arrive the following Monday. I waited a week and no parts. I called customer service again and was told the parts were on back order, so they request a defective replacement. I called a week later, and was told the request was denied as the part was shipping and would be in on 11/26. I called on the 26th and was told the parts were still on back order and that they were referring it back to defective replacement department and they would contact me. I called again today, 11/29, and was told she could not see that it had been referred for replacement and that I would need to call back Monday morning. So far it has been almost a month with no resolution in sight. Although after reading some of the other reviews, I may have months more of waiting.... Customer service agents are outsourced and speak very broken English. They are very unhelpful and they have no managers to transfer to. They do excel at giving you the run around though! This was the most expensive washer I have ever purchased. I am very disappointed. Side note, the dryer was broken when the delivery guys first brought it out, so they took it back and Home Depot had to order another one.... Thank goodness the delivery guys knew what they were doing, or I most likely would have been dealing with the dryer from day one.
We purchased this oven in February 2016 years ago and it stopped working properly several months ago. Now the oven temperature does not get hot enough even when raising higher than the normal range. We cant bake anything properly with it because at best, it takes twice as long. Also, this oven has never been easy to clean as advertised. We have found that we have to work just as hard as we did with our older models, and with chemicals to get it clean. It has been a discouraging experience to have purchased a model that was a supposed upgrade only to have it not working in less than 2.5 years. Unfortunately, the warranty was only for 1 year and we did not purchase an extension.
We bought the LG refrigerator model LMXS27626S/00 in June 2015. We have had nothing but issues since then. The compressor has been replaced twice, lost hundreds of dollars on food we have to keep a small fridge for backup because we can trust this dollar water. And now again its not cooling. Waiting for repair man now.
I bought an LG washing machine two years ago, and if I could afford to buy another washing machine I would throw the LG Washing Machine out the window SMELL and all. After about one month I began to notice a sour smell on my clothes. I have since tried every detergent, odor repellents, old world remedies (i.e. ammonia, vinegar, etc) and nothing, nothing works. Before I bought the LG I had my Kenmore for 20 years with no smell. If there is a recall on this product I would like to be part of it.
Our refrigerator freezer completely died on Saturday, April 25, 2020. I contacted LG on Monday, April 27 and reported the problem. They had me go through the Smart diagnosis function, as well as the reset function and neither worked. They confirmed that there was a full warranty on both parts and labor, however they did not have a certified technician in my area (even though we live close to the Phoenix metropolitan area) so they would be unable to provide one. They indicated we could try to find one ourselves. We did find one that would service our refrigerator and asked the customer service to provide an âLOAâ ( Letter of Authorization) which they indicated they would issue. After finding out from the service people that they did not receive the LOA, we contacted LG again and they indicated that they sent it. When we asked them Email it again while we were waiting on the phone, they indicated that they did. Again the service company said they never received it. We asked LG to send us a copy of the order and they said they would not do so. We finally got them to set up a service call for Wednesday, May 6. We ask them for the name of the service company, and still have yet to receive a response. Since that means almost 10 days with no refrigerator, we are extremely frustrated with LG.
This is the second microwave of this model. The first one worked fine for a year - until a few days after the warranty ran out. It was cheaper to buy a new one than to have it repaired, so we bought a new one because it matched the rest of our LG appliances. This one lasted less than 3 months. Home Depot requires 3 repair attempts before they wil take it back (even though we have the extended service plan on this one), so we got in touch with LG again. The same repair man came out and took it apart and put it back together again, saying he couldnt find what the problem was. It worked after that - for 1 day. When I called the repair company again, the tech said he would contact LG for us and get it taken care of. He did contact them, but we have only heard from them once to request more paperwork. Still waiting for the follow-up call a week later to get a refund. I will never buy another LG microwave. Very disappointed in their customer service.
I bought the whole set. Gas convection oven, dishwasher, big refrigerator and the microwave for my new home. It didnât last even a year. LG said yes they will fix it. Months later, nope. Now I have a useless appliance and wasted money. My $25 Hamilton Beach is going strong 3 years later. I donât recommend doing business with this company or Home Depot.
Stove purchased between 2012 and 2014, around $1600.00. All of the 5 knobs broke off the stove due to what looks like poor design and using cheap plastic to try to secure the knobs on the stove. I called the company. Said, Buy new knobs.
We are an LG household. Washer, dryer, and refrigerators. Our main kitchen refrigerator, a 2016 model, stopped working in July 2019. First failure. LG send out their authorized repair technician who came and changed the compressor. It worked for about 2 weeks and died. That was the second failure. LG sent out another technician who said the previous technician had done an incomplete repair, he said he completed it, and left. The refrigerator worked for a few more days, then died again. That was the third failure. The fridge has now been non-functional for over a week, and the repairman is not scheduled to come for another week. It is not good to send repairmen who are unable to perform a satisfactory repair the first time around, not to speak of the extreme inconvenience of losing three refrigerators worth of food (from three failures in the span of a month). Looking back, I would have much preferred a replacement machine after the first machine failed, or a refund after the second failure. We are now on the third failure and not thinking good thoughts of the LG refrigerator company.
The service for the repair on the refrigerator was great. The call center service for our food loss claim has been horrible. Canât get a call back or a straight answer. Will never buy an LG in the future.
I have an LG dishwasher (model LDF692ST) slightly over 2 years old. It has had 2 motors and a pump replaced and now the service guy said the motor is gone again. It doesnt dry the dishes at all and the door falls down when opened without support. The only thing I did right at Best Buy was purchase a warranty but will be out in 2 weeks. I have a kitchen full of LG but that is changing. I wanted a replacement but looks like another repair is all I will receive. Buyer, beware: these are junk and my only recourse is to warn others.
I purchased this LG washing machine, Model WT1101CW on May 29, 2014, from Best Buy. It was a replacement for my 20+-year-old Sears Kenmore washer. The LG machine does not clean my clothes because I believe, it does not supply enough water. I called LG to complain and was asked if the water supply line was metal or the flexible hose. My reply was metal, so LG told me it may help to replace it with the flexible! LG/Best Buy installed the machine, it is their responsibility to provide the suitable hose. However, was told that they would not pay to replace or reinstall. I was also told I may get more water if I washed everything on the Bulky cycle. Bottom line, my whites are dingy, my wash clothes sour after 2 uses and customer service stinks. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING BRANDED LG.
I purchased a brand new LG refrigerator in December of 2015 from H. H. Gregg (who went bankrupt shortly after my purchase therefore making the extended warranty null and void). Sunday morning September 23, 2018 I woke up to find a puddle in front of the freezer compartment (its a side by side). I opened the freezer to find everything defrosting rapidly. I put everything in the refrigerator side (which seemed cold). Within the day I realized the refrigerator wasnt working either. The next day, September 24th (my birthday) my husband called an appliance service person (Coastal Appliance) who came within the hour. The technician, Mark said it was the linear compressor 134A that failed. He said morally he couldnt fix it because the failure rate on this part is too high and too expensive. After checking on his phone he said the parts and labor would cost approximately $1,000 and it would only fail again at some point. He suggested we purchase another refrigerator not an LG or Samsung as they both use the same compressor. I feel like I was scammed by the LG Refrigerator company. I paid thousands of dollars for this refrigerator and I should be getting more than 2 years and 10 months of service from it.
The knobs were broken. Originally, I thought it was just my stove. I have since found out that this is an enormous problem for LG. I returned home over Thanksgiving to smell gas. My elderly mother had made some tea while I was at the store. She was visiting for the holiday and was unfamiliar with the stove. She thought she had turned it off, but because the knobs were spinning on the posts, the stove only appeared to be off. It was in fact filling the room with gas. While I was opening the windows, my mother was apologizing while rushing to the stove to turn it off in her embarrassment. Knowing what was about to happen, I lurched across the room and grabbed her hand before she reached the stove.Of course, if she had turned the knob at that time, it would have passed the ignition point and exploded the gas that was filling the room. Instead, I left the gas on at its lowest setting while opening all the doors and windows. 10 minutes later, when I aired the kitchen, I crouched down and turned off the stove. I wrote LG six weeks ago and they have not responded. I think many people would do what my mother nearly did and exploded their house. This product is deadly. It is just a matter of time before it kills people. LG needs to proactively seek out every stove with this defect and fix it or recall the product.
I bought an LG Range from Best Buy in November 2018 for $1800. In February the oven broke and I have been told that it was the control panel. After 3 weeks they have sent the control panel but the LG repair guy said that we need 2 others parts. # weeks later I am still waiting for the LG repair guy to fix this oven. Its a total of 6 weeks. Meanwhile my 8 months LG dryer broke. I couldnt go with the same experience. I decided to pay out of pocket, 300$ later. The dryer broke 1 week later. I just spoke to an LG supervisor who said that she didnt get any parts order. I am literally crying... Worst customer service. Terrible appliance!
I bought this machine in March, 2016. I got a 10 year warranty and that was a selling point. Ive followed the manual to the T. I clean the water filters, tub clean every month, etc. So I am doing my due diligence. However, since the day I got it it hasnt done a load the same way twice no matter the setting. It doesnt use enough water and ruins clothing. I have a very bad back so I had to put a short hose to connect to my slop sink because it was taking a toll on my arthritis. It cannot even begin to do a heavy duty load! I always have to add more water to every single load so that nothing gets ruined. My old machine was 20 years old and did an incredible job compared to this piece of junk. I bought rubber foot holders to make sure it didnt move around which did work but the machine itself is useless. My husband has to wear fire retardant clothing to work, which is extremely expensive, and even when I add water it continues to destroy these from clothes faster than Ive ever seen a washer abuse clothing. The load sensor is useless. Its just there for bells and whistles. There is supposed be an app to tag on to the machine to do smart diagnosis. There is no such app available anywhere. But it says there is and gives step by step instructions on how to do it which takes up more pages in the manual than anything else in there. But its just filler to make it look good. This was a selling point I liked too, but as I said, its non-existent. Ive tried contacting them a few times but I dont get any response. None. I need to either get them to replace this with something that actually works or return my money. I should have bought the Samsung like was going to initially. Every time I try to use the Bulky/Bedding cycle it fills the tub to the very top and Im always afraid its going to overflow. Even if its not a big load it fills to the top. Now, this is supposed to be a high efficiency machine but I hardly call that efficient at all. I need something that works. On top of it all, I bought at H.H. Gregg near me which isnt even there anymore and I refuse to let them come look at it just to tell me I need a new main board, which seems to be the reason for everyones problems, according to all the reviews Ive read. LIFE IS NOT GOOD WITH THIS MACHINE! I need real help here. If anyone can suggest something positive that might get me a new machine that actually works, Im all ears.
UPDATE- LG did send a repairperson on August 2nd and a new compressor was replaced. I was told this refrigerator has defective compressors. A&E repair sent the new compressor prior to the repair date so it would be here and I wouldnt have to wait for it to be ordered and wait even more time, which I was very grateful for. I am now waiting for LG to call me for compensation to a French Door refrigerator that was full of food that was lost due to this problem not to mention the inconvenience this has caused. Thank you LG for coming through. I wish you would have been as attentive to my 52 tv when that went not even 2 years old.
LG manufactory is s good and reliable appliances. They are also stylish and trendy. I especially like the ones with the ice makers. I also like the side by side doors and the newer models. They are really terrific appliances. I love them and their electronics as well. I really wouldnt change a thing with LG and theres nothing I dislike about it. They do initiate all expectation. They are very dependable.
It has a freezer and the normal fridge part and it has two doors which is convenient for everyone that uses it and there were no issues with it at all. LG has a great fridge that causes no issues and works great. It was recommended to me by a friend who also owns LG and they had a good experience with LG without any issues at all. They have had the fridge for years and have had no issues and that is why they recommend it to me.
We purchased our refrigerator in August 2016. In February 2019 it stopped freezing and cooling. I called LG and the customer service (800 243 0000) and was scheduled for a service call the following morning. Based on the description of the problem the customer service rep advised there would be no charge for the service call or repair. (She didnt advise why, I didnt ask because I was thrilled after reading the other horror stories on this site.) The technician, Bryan ** called me about 15 minutes after the call to confirm our appointment the following morning and ask me about the problem so that he could ensure he had what he needed on the truck to make the repair. The next morning Bryan called when he was on his way to my house. (Within the time window that was scheduled. Another thing that doesnt happen that often that people actually show up in the time frame they are supposed to.) He began working at 10AM and finished by just after 11AM. He would courteous and very competent in making the repair. It turned out to be a failed/faulty compressor which was replaced with a new one. I already loved the fridge, I am extremely pleased with the customer care by all three LG employees I worked with in this transaction. Thanks!!!
We bought the refrigerator in Feb 2020. A few months later, the ice maker stopped working. Service guy had to come back 5 times to finally fix it. For some reason, the model we have was built with a special ice maker. Last month, we started hearing a loud humming sound. When you open any door, it will stop then starts after you close the door. We called service and they did a smart diagnosis via phone and said it looks like I have an ice build-up by the fan and I need to defrost the refrigerator for 8 hours. Defrosted it and after a week, we got an FF error code on the ref. We are defrosting again and see what happens. Never had this problem with a refrigerator before. Hope this get fixed right away.
I had a front load Bosch washing machine. It constantly stunk and had to clean it all the time...Now i went back to a top loading machine and if I could get one load done with re-balancing. I am 65 and have been doing laundry since I was 15..with a top load machine. I now how to load it for balance. I can re-balance this machine up to 3 times a load. If you do bedspreads it is even more fun...do you have any idea how heavy they are wet? Try to balance that. The machine washes clothes great, and they spin dry really well. But this fill and balance thing makes for a long day every day doing laundry. Can this be fixed?
Updated on 01/01/2020: Update from LG, they offered to send a tech out to inspect my refrigerator but the stipulation was that I would charged for the visit for anything outside the warranty. When they read my review about being charged because I had outside tech come and put in a compressor, they cancelled the tech. I exposed the fraud of the company telling them I knew about the charge and would not fall for their deception. Truth released about this company.Original Review: I Bought LG Refrigerator about three years ago for my new home. By the Way LG means Lucky Goldstar. I dont feel very Lucky, in fact I feel like I have been scammed by a company that does not care for their customer. I paid close to $3000 for this top of line refrigerator which was rated by Best Buy five stars. On December 11, 2019 in the morning I noticed the freezer part was defrosting and ice formed around the doors and I had a freezer full of food. I also notice my refrigerator was not cooling properly. And there was a puddle on the floor in front of the ice maker. I thought it was an ice cube stuck in the bin and it melted onto the floor. Cleaned it up and went to work. When I came home there was more water in front of the refrigerator. I now knew something was wrong. I opened the freezer and saw my frozen food defrosted. I panic. Who can I contact now, it is after six PM. I called a friend who recommended her tech to come out and check my fridge. I did call him and he came out around 8:30 PM that night. And his diagnoses was that the Linear Compressor went and everything in the fridge needs be discarded. He said he could get another one in for $595.00 and put it in tomorrow. Since I paid so much for this fridge, I consented to have the work done. I needed a Fridge. After he left, I spent hours cleaning out the fridge and freezer and did not finish till way after 1:00 AM in the morning and I had to be up at 4:00 AM for work. I had to throw all that food out. I had steaks, shrimps, meats, fish and honey baked ham given to me for Christmas from my job. The tech did come back the next day with a new LG linear compressor and installed it and now we are up and running once again. It took about 24 hours for fridge to cool off and the following day, I started stocking my fridge. But within a few days, the fridge did not seem to be working right. I kept checking it. The freezer part was forming crystal around the inner drawers and the food was not cold. Now on December 24, 2019 I am calling the tech who put the compressor in and he is heading out of town but he sent a friend to check out the fridge. At 5:30 PM The eve of Christmas he comes and checks and tells me that the coils are leaking and it would very costly to fixed to contact LG Customer Service. My first thought is to get my frozen stuff out and try to salvage what I can and bring it over to a friend house. When finished with that I decided to call LG. I spoke to lady name Abby who politely told me because I used an outside tech to service their fridge my warranty is canceled nullified and void. She also told me that linear compressor is only under warranty for five years. My manual says ten years. It does not say anything about calling an outside Tech to service my fridge cancels my warranty on this fridge. Think about it, if I had to call LG for a tech to come out it would have taken more than a week to get this done. And time to get a linear compressor to replace the one I had. And to make matters worse, both techs told me that LG has had major issues with linear compressors and they knew about the issues and still installed them in each refrigerator. The company is scamming the American people and are not willing to compensate them. My total cost for this fridge to balm is $4500 plus buying a new fridge. I am a 75-year-old working for $15 per hour. Which means I will have to work 300 hours to recoup my losses plus buying new fridge. I am warning the public to not buy from this company any products, they are not reputable to deal with and you will take quite a loss. Their Refrigerators look good on the outside but their components on the inside are made cheaply and you pay dearly.
Bought a LG washing machine in December of 2011. In October of 2014 it just died with no warning. It cost $336.31 to fix. I tried to get help from LG with the cost of the repair and they either hang up on you or keep you on hold so long that the call gets lost. Even when you give them the information they ask for, they are still unwilling to help you with the cost of fixing it. They really act like they do not care about the financial burden in the consumer. The main board had to be replaced after less than 3 years. The serial # is 110kwhxax921 and the model # is WT4801CWABW(0). I will never purchase anything LG again.
We bought a brand new LG refrigerator sometime around February 2011 for a second house that we visit once or twice a month. It wasnt a top of the line unit and ran about $800. When it was delivered and hooked up, it worked fine and continued to do so until August 2011 (it was about 6 months old) when it apparently quit working with a full freezer and a semi full fridge. We dont know exactly how long the unit was off but when we walked in the house, it smelled like someone had died! The smell was awful and it took an entire day to clean it up. We had trouble getting the smell out and the ice maker wouldnt work so we called LG and they sent a repair person out. The repair person replaced the ice maker, the motherboard and took the entire freezer apart to clean it and we found bugs behind the liner. He cleaned it completely and the smell was still bad so he had me use Lysol (LGs recommendation), bleach, baking soda, charcoal, newspaper but nothing would work. We left to come home and it was empty. We hoped it would smell better when we came the next time which was this past weekend for New Years. The smell was still horrible and we called LG. They said we had to have the repair person back out and he came back and said that the smell was from the bugs decomposing and he couldnt get it out. He called LG to tell them this and they said basically Good luck. We called LG and they said they couldnt help us. We asked to speak to that persons manager and we were connected to Amber, the executive service manager. Amber told us that according to the warranty, we were supposed to empty and turn off the fridge when we leave it unattended to go on vacation. Who does this? Im 53 years old and have owned numerous refrigerators over the years and have never had to empty and turn one off to go on vacation and never has this been a problem. She told us that they would do nothing to help us. When we asked to speak to her superior, she told us that she didnt have one that she was the highest power we could go to. At the end of the day, we got zero help from Amber, the super power woman and will never purchase another LG product. My advice is to either stay away from this company or read the entire warranty before you purchase.
My LG washing machine has been a joke. I can not get the stinky smell out of my clothes. It is just gross. I have done everything people at the stores have told me to do, no success at all. Never will buy an LG again.
Terrible experience with this washer and LG who would not pay for service even under warranty. If you buy this self-balancing washer, expect to remain nearby to redistribute any load that contains at least one towel, one pair of jeans or one terry cloth robe until the load is done.
We purchased our dishwasher 27 months ago. No extended warranty because LG was a good name. Sure enough it broke down and lg wont sell parts to consumers that can fix it themselves.
I just purchased a new LG dishwasher. It stopped working within 30 days of operation. When trying to arrange for warranty repair, the techs are not showing up to fix it. The claim is that parts are on order, and when I call for a status update, customer service puts me on hold until the line auto disconnects. Avoid purchase of this brand.
The LG Dishwasher is very quiet and dependable and does a great job of cleaning our dishes and pans. We have had other dishwashers, but they were loud and they did not clean our dishes very well.
The washing machine has broken down. Either the rotor or the bearings have gone out at the 3-year mark like all the other people that I keep reading about. The 10-year warranty is about the most worthless thing that I have ever heard of. I canât afford the $75-plus per hour just to get the free part. Count on this: you get one shot at me, but Ill never own another LG product.
I love the way the oven cooks. It is my first experience using the glass cooktop. Still learning. Would have liked for the air fryer basket/tray to be included rather than having to special order it.
I have a two-year-old refrigerator that is been broken for two weeks. I was told that it needs a new compressor.
I WILL NEVER BUY AN LG PRODUCT AGAIN! Bought the best energy saver machine LG had on the market. Bought the dryer to match. Has been horrible from day one! Leaking big problem. Sensors costing between $82-$100 EACH to replace. AND there are 5 to 6 per problem. LG could care less. How do these people remain in business??? Every repairman I called told me to throw it out in the trash before it drains you dry forgive the pun. LG SHAME ON YOU!
We purchased an LG French door fridge in September 2014. The fridge has broken over 6 times since then. Fridge freezing, freezer not working, total shut down, you name it it broke. The computer board went 2 or 3 times, partly due to bad repair and wrongly installed. The compressor then went. Through all of this we lost hundreds of dollars of food and the fridge leaked and ruined our kitchen cupboards. Calling LG is the worst customer service. They provide the run around and takes days/weeks to respond and constant followup is required. They constantly say they are reviewing our case, but then come back and it is up to us to call back in and book something else. We are on the 6th time the fridge broke down, 9 days no fridge and numerous calls to LG. Avoid LG fridges!!!
Dont buy this thing. LGs warranty is a joke and Costco wont let you return after 90 days. I have been trying for 3 weeks to get my 3.5 year old LG refrigerator fixed under warranty, no one will touch the thing. 3 weeks without a refrigerator and all LG does is give me phone numbers for authorized repair places that dont answer or refuse to work on LGs anymore. Their fancy compressors are failing and there are class action lawsuits working through the courts. Stay far away!
LG top load washer. A lot of nice ideas. It monitors the load, adds water if needed, and adjusts the cycle time to get the load clean or takes less time if needed. But, makes some strange noises. Thats why ratings are not perfect. 8 months now. Doing good. Overall would recommend.
I have an LG front load dryer (model DLEX3857W). The original dryer lint filter warped, I guess from the heat of the dryer? It would not sit flat, which caused clothes to get caught on the filter, mostly clothes with thin straps, such as camisoles, etc. However, on one cycle, a sleeveless nightgown was caught, which cracked the corner of the filter, as well as a piece of the filter guide. I purchased a new LG lint filter and replaced the broken one, but it never would sit flat where the corner of the guide was rough. Ive had 5 camisoles, 3 nightgowns, and now a fitted sheet destroyed due to being torn when becoming caught and twisting around the raised part of the filter. The material gets wound so tightly that the piece caught just tears off.I made a complaint on the LG website blog, but my entry was declined because I failed to meet posting requirements - I cant figure out what didnt meet, except that the question I asked was based on the fact that I had read several blogs where Kenmores version of the same dryer has had a recall of the due to the same problem, and I asked if there was an LG plan to recall. I have also emailed LG directly, with no response as of yet. There are MULTIPLE complaints online on different blogs, which is where I found a link recommending replacement of all 3 parts - the lint filter, filter guide, and lint filter cover. I found all the parts on Amazon, with more complaints of the same issue. Why should I have to spend $60 for parts that appear to have been a defect from the beginning.
We purchased an LG french door bottom freezer from Home Depot July 2017 and the top refrigerator area will not maintain a safe temp. I have contacted LG customer service numerous times, it is still under manufacturer warranty however they have been unable to find a technician that will service our rural area, 4 referrals and no service. They assure me they will find someone to do repairs however it is nearing a month without proper working condition of refrigerator. Poor customer service, poor quality of product. Beautiful but non functional. Definitely do not recommend!
We are joining the rest of duped LG purchasers. We purchased a French Door refrigerator LFX28968SB in 2015 and on 9-19-18 we had to throw food out and are now using a cooler with ice to keep essentials. The refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling. We contacted the store where we bought it and a service tech came out on 9/20/18 and said there was nothing he could do. It ** the bed. I called customer service (which the rep was rude) and she stated we needed to have a certified LG tech look at it and they need to submit the repair request. She gave the one, which there seemed not to be more than 1 in RI. Contacted Certified Service Co. and they seemed to be having issues with doing work on LG and said I would have to have parts sent to me if they were under warranty. I agreed. Now after reading all the reviews Im cancelling the service call and going to buy new refrigerator and it will not be a LG for sure. I think a lawsuit against this company needs to be revisited. There are way too many lemons out there and they were not cheap. Not to mention the loss of food and tons of aggravation!
4 years of cursing and babysitting each rinse cycle. Maybe every 5th load was completed without filling over and over to re-balance. FINALLY problem solved and throwing it out. No more LG anything. Oh happy day!
Bought a new floor model LG refrigerator from a local big box store. Got it home. Wouldnt cool. Called LG and after 3 different companies, being stood up by LG factory tech 3 times and 5 actual service calls to the house and 2 1/2 months later still have a nice looking not cooling refrigerator. Waiting on parts to be changed out for the 2nd time. Refuse to replace.
I have now seen hundreds if not thousands of online pictures of my similar issue with this product. The control panel is NOT sealed correctly so the steam seeps out on the top and has entered the thin plastic which encases the control panel and created small but obvious cracks. This would not happen if the door/panel was sealed tightly with some form of a seal, which it is not. It is plastic meets plasic on a edge. Therefore the steam enters creating heat and pressure and cracking the display as well as allowing moisture into the electrical panel.** Here is a link to a video that shows the issue. This is a design flaw. Its also a hazard since the water vapor is seeping into the panel. My dishwasher is also not very old. I do not recommend this product since the design flaw not only has NOT been fixed, it has not been addressed by LG despite numerous reports on the web. Shame on LG for allowing a flaw to just continue each year in this model.
I purchased my LG dryer model DLEX4270 and immediately I noticed the lint screen didnt fit the slot perfectly. I went ahead and dried clothes in it anyway. Some of the clothes became wrapped around the corner of the screen and caused them to stretch out to a point that they arent wearable. I contacted LG to send a new screen and was informed that I would have to pay for it. Now the screen has actually cracked and smells like its going to catch on fire. So, I ordered a new 1 and the same thing has happened again. Really poor design!!
I have an LG top loading washer purchased 8 months ago. On 12/26/2012, it quit working during a load of laundry. It is locked and full of water. This Wednesday, it has been three weeks! It smells bad and the clothes are molding. LG will not call me back. The store I purchased it from is trying to fix it. They have been to the house two times. Still waiting! LG product I will ever purchase!
Updated on 06/21/2019: Terrible service, Read reviews please prior to buying, Parts are impossible to get once needed. I have 6 yr old fridge that cost $3500 and we havent been able to get parts since April 9th. First part took 4 weeks to get and it was defective. It was manufactured 2 weeks after we ordered it. Ordered another control board the first of May and they keep delaying ship date. Now saying June 27th. Every week they move it back.Original Review: We have been unable to get parts for our 6 yr old $3500 refrigerator. Ordered April 9th and still nothing, every few days they give us a different answer. WE have been told they use a different board for almost every fridge and dont keep them in stock?? Now saying May 7th. Who can go without a fridge that long? We have children and new fresh items.
I purchased an LG Refrigerator 5 years ago Model LFX31925ST/00 Super Capacity, 3 door, French door with smart cooling technology. In 2013 we had issues where the freezer would stop cooling. My main board apparently went out... I am stuck without a refrigerator after spending more than 3,000 for it in 2013. Expected would last longer for the amount paid.
We bought the LG WT1701C washer and matching dryer for a new house. I started to notice the clothes werent getting clean, even on the Hot setting. I felt the water, and the in the Hot setting, the water was barely tepid. A service tech came to look at it and informed me that most of the new washer brands have a top temperature of 100 degrees. I was shocked to find this out. He did inform me that selecting a different wash cycle than Normal, like Bright Whites or Oxi Sanitize, will give you water thats hotter but those cycle times are longer. Also, in the Normal cycle, it seems that the washer takes more time to sense the size of the load than it does to wash it. Although I saw that it had no center agitator, I assumed the washer action would be similar to the old agitators. But I have watched laundry loads that swish back and forth but sometimes the laundry on top doesnt get down to the tub that does the washing. The agitation doesnt seem to be very strong. Again, selecting a different setting like Heavy soil, will create a stronger agitation. If youre shorter than 5 6, youll need a stool to reach the bottom of the tub. And be careful about inadvertently pushing buttons once your load has started. While reaching in the washer, I inadvertently hit a button that changed the setting. I could not go back or resume and had to start over. I was 2/3 through the cycle so it was very inefficient in water and electric. So far the dryer seems to work well. Although its a nice looking set, I would not buy it again. Even with some concerns about the smell in front loaders, I would choose a front loader to make sure that the clothes tumble enough to get clean. I believe this model has been discontinued but there are newer models with similar model numbers that I believe will have the same issues.
LG LDF6920ST Dishwasher - I bought this dishwasher in the spring of 2011 and in August 2014 the dishwasher will need to be replaced. This dishwasher was not abused and is in a 2 person household. Initially I smelled an awful smell of burnt electrical coming from the dishwasher and now it wont stay on. Im afraid it will catch the house on fire. An LG registered service person cost $89.00 for the service call and $150.00 per hour not including parts. I read online about other owners of this model dishwasher having to repeatedly change the motor and the water pump. I am going to replace this dishwasher after only 3 years use. I wont be buying another LG product anytime soon.
LFX25991ST/05 LG French door counter depth refrigerator - I actually love/hate this refrigerator. It has worked well. I love the ice and water dispenser, however, it appears to be caving in. There is a long crack at the top running into the inside of the dispenser. When the water dispenser is pressed it moves the entire wall inside the dispenser. The frame of the entire dispenser is actually crumbling piece by piece. We have no recollection of ever dropping anything or anything falling on the door dispenser. We have no warranty left on it as it is now almost 3 years old. So we are faced with the repair. Frankly neither of would have the strength to push so hard the plastic would crack. I own an LG stove, microwave, washer and dryer. I am not unhappy with any of these - performance wise.
We bought the top of the line LG Front Load Washing Machine 3 years ago. We had a repairman out 1 mo ago to service our LG dryer and while he was here he said our washing machine was about to go. He pointed out the loud noise we heard was from the drum that was about to disconnect from the machine. One month later, thats exactly what happened. When I called LG they said the drum was covered but the service was not. I called two of the recommended service repair people and the estimates I received were $695 and $800. I called LG back and asked if this was typical of a 3-year-old washer. I was told it was not their fault that I didnt buy the extended warranty! They do not stand behind their products!
We purchased out LG four-door three years ago from Home Depot. We purchased the 5-year HD Protection Plan (issued through a company called Asurion). The compressor began failing last November, and since January, weâve had repairmen in our home four times and are scheduled for a fifth visit next week. The first company they sent out spent over a week replacing the compressor, only to have it fail within a couple of days. When they returned a few days later, they spent an entire day repairing the issue, and claimed it was the most difficult repair theyâve had to attempt. We were without a functioning fridge for three weeks while we waited for appointments and replacement parts. The fix lasted a short time before failing again and this time itâs been a comedy of errors getting anyone to even look at it. LG tells us to call Home Depot/Asurion, HD/Asurion says its LGâs problem. LG sends a repairman from Sears who says it canât be repaired and heâll let LG know, a week later HD calls to see if weâre happy with the resolution. I explain thereâs been no resolution, and am promised a phone call from LG within 48 hours. ... Four days go by, we canât get ahold of anyone. We have to threaten legal action to get a return call, which essentially puts the onus on LG. Asurion explains that LG has taken over the process that our protection plan normally handled and basically they can only ask us if our issue was resolved. At this point weâre offered a loaner fridge, but none is unavailable, so weâre sent a $100 gift card toward the purchase of a mini fridge. Iâm desperate for any kind of refrigeration in my kitchen, so we go to Home Depot, only to discover they donât sell any mini fridge for less than $120. I am beyond frustrated at this point. I shouldnât have to spend any more money. Weâve lost hundreds of dollars in food, hours of time on prepared meals, etc.) After the first failure, Iâve been afraid to put our bulk meat in the freezer, rightly so, because Iâm afraid the fridge will fail again. So Last week we had a fourth visit from a repair tech, who said our fridge canât be repaired, and because weâve been told by LG that the repair tech must call them directly, we asked him to make the call in our presence. He spent 30 minutes on hold before being disconnected, and my husband spent 90 minutes on hold before he gave up. LG repeatedly claims they arenât getting any information from Asurion or their repairmen. Our claim rep from Asurion returned my call the following day and conferenced in a rep from LG, who basically said he couldnât help me before transferring me to someone from âexecutive servicesâ who reviewed my case, said she was sorry, and scheduled another repair visit. She described the convoluted process that needs to occur before theyâll replace my fridge, but wouldnât give me any of the phone numbers that Sears needs to call, and Sears has no idea what weâre talking about when we tell them they need to call LG (although so far theyâve been willing to accommodate us). Weâll see what happens on Monday when repairman #5 shows up. Every repair guy weâve spoken to says all they do all day is go around and evaluate failed LG compressors. We finally broke down and purchased a new refrigerator in the meantime, and the sales associate also said he always discourages people from purchasing LGs because everyone heâs sold in the last 4 years has failed and LG is terrible about replacing them. So, to sum up, LG sells garbage, doesnât care, and wonât help when they canât be repaired. And so far, the Home Depot protection plan hasnât done much to protect my purchase. This has been a nightmare and if I could afford to write off the thousands of dollars Iâve spent on a trash fridge and wasted food, I would do it, because LG is killing my sanity.
I bought a kitchen package and felt I was getting quality top of the line products. I am so disappointed with the easy clean function that does nothing and completely shocked it did not have the regular self clean function that I have had on all my stoves for over 20 years. I feel I went backwards on features. Oven works good and I like the convection feature. But cannot get it clean canât use oven cleaner and thought oven cleaning in my past.
Updated on 09/10/2019: Update to my previous post. After a week of having the parts the Puls technician finally showed up and installed a new/different compressor than the original. Install went fine up to the point he told me it required a new software upload before we could plug in the refrigerator, which he has not received yet. Now another day has come and gone with no working refrigerator (two days after replacing the compressor). What a major undertaking this has been! I had to call on behalf of the technician to get the software ordered and Puls is telling me that it was LG that was the hold up. What a nightmare of an ordeal. You would think LG would know the software was a requirement and would have sent it with the compressor. Nope, no such luck! What horrible aftermarket support. Think twice before buying LG... Original Review: I have loved my LG fridge until it stopped working. I called LG and they asked a few question and figure out it was a closed system or compressor issue under warranty. They shipped me all the parts needed (good for LG) but Puls Technologies Inc. dropped the ball and did not have a tech show up as scheduled. So they told me it would be the next day, then they called back and said the soonest would be in three more days on Saturday. My question is, can I get a technician on my own and have them do the repair and send LG the bill? A week without a refrigerator is not a fun thing to deal with. After reading more on LG refrigerators, I see this seems to be an on going issue. Wish I knew this before I bought the fridge and an LG dishwasher. Lets just say, I wont be buying a matching oven and microwave from LG.
Well, we are now scheduled for the 13th time for a certified LG tech to come look at my washer that doesnt work. This is the replacement machine for the first one that didnt work. After several calls to LGs 800 #, I was transferred to Robert in the executive call center (ha ha). At least he spoke English. He acted like he was concerned about the problem I was having and was going to help get it resolved. He talked to their techs, called the local service company, claimed to have had parts sent out and a service appointment scheduled. I was to receive a call when the parts arrived (2-3 days) to schedule a time that would be convenient for me (ha ha). Well, its been 4 days and no call, so I called the local service company and they had received nothing from LG. They had a call but nothing had been scheduled, no parts sent, and no authorization for service. Surprise, surprise, surprise!I called LG again, asked for Robert, and instead I got some silly girl that did not have a clue. I insisted that I wanted to speak to Robert and was finally transferred to him. I am not sure if it was the person I spoke with before but this time it was a new story. No parts were being ordered. They would have the tech come look at the machine and go from there. So it will be another week with a broken washing machine. It took 6 hours to do 2 loads of laundry. The machine continues to think it had an unbalanced load and fill to the top with water. Never really washes clothes, just fills, jiggles and few minutes, drains and starts over. Definitely energy efficient!
I cant find my receipt so Im not sure exactly how long we have owned our LG Tromm washer and dryer. (Im going to guess about 9 years) The washer has practically give us issues the entire time we have owned it. From smelling moldy to not draining. I will NEVER own another LG washer again! Much less a front loading washer.
Bought French Door fridge with ice and water dispenser about 18 months ago. Had minor problems, but were able to solve them. Today, at 5pm when my service provider is gone until Monday morning, the refrigerator started to emit a burning rubber/Teflon-like smell along with a chemical smell that is sort of sweet. Hard to describe, but it has given me a headache. We pulled the fridge out from its niche and dusted the vents, which we do every couple of months anyway. The smell is still there but it seems to have abated because we opened the windows (its 20 degrees outside so now I have a headache AND I am freezing). According to the door panel, the temperature in both freezer and fridge is constant and not dropping or rising, so that is good.Does anyone have similar experiences and do you know what it might be? I was able to get hold of someone from the company I bought it from - I bought an extended warranty from them - and he said he had no idea what it could be and hes never heard of anything like that on an LG. Said that it might be dust or dog hair - NOPE. I am afraid to leave it plugged in when we go to bed. Anyone have any suggestions?
My LG has been leaking for over a year now. I have a drip pan under it and have to use the wet vacuum every week to clean up the water. And the smell--my clothes have retained the scent. I have done all the tricks others have been told, leave door open, bleach, etc. I am very disappointed in the product.
LG 4 door French Door Refridge. I purchased a Refrigerator in December 2016 which makes it 3 years old, in April 2019 I had to have a new compressor installed already, now both the freezers are creating snow and ice and I cant open the drawers. I called and they told me that I had to defrost the entire refrigerator/freezer first and wait 8 hours. Not only did I do that I waited two days to make sure everything was dry, once I determined that it was, I plugged the unit back in, overnight it started to create ice and snow again. I called back, after 45 minutes on the phone with someone I could hardly understand, giving them every number possible and all the info, they pass me to the scheduling dept to have someone come out to look at it, they charged me $125 up front service fee just to have tech come out to my home, that does not include the repair or parts, really! This is only a three year old appliance, that has had problems already, what piece of junk. I am 55 years old and for once in my life I was able to afford a better product, well that was what I thought I was getting, paying a heavy price for the refrigerator, I thought LG was supposed to be a great product, well WRONG, they truly dont care about us, they want us to do all this troubleshooting first, I dont pretend to be an engineer, they should be sending out a tech for free especially for a three year old unit. I am so disgusted with LG. I will never purchase any of their products again. I am sure this refrigerator will cause me so much grief and money that I will have to get rid of it. And furthermore, I have a 20 year old GE refrigerator in my garage that I have never had to have any service on and it stills works great, just a little rust on it, so I moved it to the garage, It beats LG for sure. BUY AMERICAN FOLKS!
LG LMX225964 French Door refrigerator - I wish I could rate this product as a minus 100. I have never made a worse appliance purchase and will NEVER buy LG again. This French door refrigerator is less than 6 years old (purchased from BrandsMart) and for the last 1 1/2 years Ive received Error IF every couple of months. This means the ice maker fan is frozen (AGAIN) and I have to remove all food from the refrigerator and freezer, put it in the garage refrigerator, and thaw out the unit. Although this process is reminiscent of an older, simpler time it is more than aggravating. I would replace the ice fan assembly but that part is no longer available and there is no replacement part (so much for making repair parts available for 7 years). LG lost a large class action lawsuit on a number of models having a similar problem, but alas my model was not included. (The law firm that handled that case is Callahan, Thompson, Sherman Caudill LLP, http://ctsclaw.com.) This may be the weekend I finally test-drive the sledgehammer on this poor excuse of a refrigerator.
I purchased an LG refrigerator from Home Depot. Most expensive refrigerator they had on the floor was $2800. I have had nothing but trouble with it. It has leaked 4-5 times ruining my floor and now it is not cooling or freezing. No one here in Cheyenne will even work on LGs. The repair business report has difficulty obtaining parts as they have had customers waiting for over a month to get parts so they will not service them. I am left with either cutting my losses or having someone come from over 60 miles away try to come and service. Be aware. Do not purchase LG because of their poor availability of service and parts and poor quality.
This is the worst washing machine I have ever purchased. It takes forever to get a load of wash done and there are spots on the clothes when finished. It doesnt use enough water to even cover the clothes. For more water, you have to set it on Extra Load, and then it takes 3 hours to wash! The programs for selection are awful and limited. For this machine to cost so much, I thought it would be top notch. WRONG. My next machine will be a trusted GE. I had a GE washer for over 10 years that washed clothes very well. This LG washer is terrible and I wouldnt recommend wasting your money on it. It looks pretty, but it doesnt wash well. Ultimately very disappointed.
My LG LRE3083ST Electric Range worked flawlessly for the first year. Then the controls quit functioning properly. It was intermittent at first. Sometimes I had to reset the circuit breaker to turn off the oven. Then the stove top controls failed. I could turn on only the rear burners. I contacted LG customer service thru their website. The reporting process was cumbersome, but LG agreed to send a repairman out to fix it. The repair seemed to be good. The oven and stovetop both worked. That was 6 weeks ago. This past weekend the stove top controls failed again. Today I contacted LG. This time by phone. The customer service person was friendly, but after conferring with others there, she politely told me that any future repairs would be on me. I have been an LG television and appliance owner for over 10 years. I have never had an LG appliance fail so miserably. This problem is likely a quality control problem, but LG does not acknowledge that. The control boards that the repairman installed in January failed before the end of February. The boards must be defective. My respect for LG just took a big hit. I will no longer recommend the products and will consider other alternatives when I replace my 15-month-old range. I will not pay to repair it because it will probably fail again.
I have had this washing machine about a year and noticed that the blanketâs come out as dirty as they go in. The clothes donât get clean. I havenât had it break at all but the quality of the washing is so bad I am going to try and sell this one and buy a front load. I have to take my clothes to the laundromat to make sure they get clean!!!! Why did I bother with this piece of junk? I would leave no stars if that was allowed. They should recall all of these and give us our money back. I will NEVER buy a top load again. They just donât clean like my old front load that lasted about 10 years before I had to replace it and I had to pick a piece of junk. Anyone want a used washer? Sell it to you cheap!
Our LG fridge over here in Florida, has required 2 compressors. The compressor they replaced stop working 18 months later. I now have to pay out of pocket and lose out on groceries for the week during this pamdemic. The fridge was purchased in 2015. In 2017 compressor was replaced. On 9/23/18 same replaced compressor broke. Now again 4/22/20 and compressor is outbagain. I called LG and they gave me numbers to call on my own. AS Im now out of warranty. This is totally unacceptable and I can see why there is a class action suit against this company. I will be posting on all social media how LG handles its customers on an item they know is flawed. Hopefully I can deter others from buying LG refrigerator.
We have now replaced both the main board and control board on our LG front load washer all within 8 months. The cost now equals what we paid for the washer. We are not happy! The service repairman informed me that we needed to put a surge protector on the machine. He used to work for the manufacturer! Where in the manual is that mentioned? For only $5.00, we could have saved well over $1,000 for replacement and service. Why is this not told to the consumer when the machine was purchased? Has anyone else experienced this? Were you told to plug in a surge protector?
We purchased this refrigerator less than 3 years ago at our local Home Depot store. We decided to upgrade our kitchen and splurge a little on a reputable, high end brand fridge - LG. After 6 months of owning this fridge, we have had nothing but issues. We have had it repaired at least 6 times. The main issues being: (1) it not staying cool/cold, making it inoperable and spoiling all of our food contents; (2) water leakage; and (3) ice not working. The first item has been the most common, the most frustrating and the most costly to us. We just recently went food shopping and the very next day, our fridge decided to stop being cold. All food is spoiling again. You could imagine the money that is lost and the predicament it puts our family of six children in. We are not picky people. If its a simple fix, we would gladly take care of it ourselves as to not burden anyone else. The repair service keeps fixing the same things and replacing similar/same parts. I must say I would not recommend an LG product to anyone and I would never purchase an LG ever again. They are pieces of junk, in our opinion. Another complaint about how cheaply made these things are, the side shelves and the middle sliding shelves keep falling off as they are poorly made and poorly designed. A total piece of junk. Very disappointed in this product. Very deceiving as it looks great sitting there in the store all nice and shiny, but internally its crap. To be perfectly honest, next time were just going to go with an inexpensive brand and if we get 3 years out of it before it breaks down, great, then well toss it. But I wont feel so bad because I wont be splurging money like I did on an overpriced piece of junk like LG.
This microwave is really a nice item to have and is very easy to use. All the items you can use in a microwave is overwhelming and a welcome use to the kitchen from melting butter to making a bake potato in a microwave. Great cooking item.
Lg French Door 25 Cubic Foot Fridge eats a ton of energy. Recall did not fix problem.
If I could give this washer 0 stars out of 5 I would. I bought the washer in January of 2018. I used it for about 2 weeks when it started banging and sounded like it was going to come through the floor. I called LG and they sent out a service tech to come look at it. The balance bar was broken and numerous other parts had to be replaced, and of course one was on back order. We finally got it fixed after almost 3 weeks of it being broken. Now we are in April of 2018. The washer starts to shake again & make the same noises as before, only this time I have leaking all over my floor. I call LG again to see what can be done. I talked to 3 different people, was on hold for almost 2 hours, the last person being a manager who was rude, and very unhelpful. I ended up scheduling another person to come out to diagnose the washer, of course a week and a half out. The technician comes to diagnose the washer on a Monday, I dont hear anything back from them and on Wednesday I get a text from LG saying I have a repair order for yet ANOTHER appliance repair company. I call to see what is going on and LG states that the first appliance company said the job was too big for them and their company is not able to do it (this was a company that LG hired). They hired another appliance company and again, they are more than a week out with scheduling. After talking again to LG they are not scheduled to come FIX it, but to diagnose it. This is after I talked to the first appliance repair company and having them tell me that the washer needs to be completely rebuilt and that the LG engineering department told them that there is over $500 worth of just parts. At the end of my phone call I asked to speak with someone higher up, and they stated someone would call me in 24 to 48 hours, and of course 24-48 hours later, no phone call. I am BEYOND frustrated with LG. I have been without a washer for longer than I have actually used mine. I would NEVER buy this washer again, let alone another appliance from LG. Their customer service is terrible and it has been a highly disappointing experience dealing with LG.
I recently purchased all new LG appliances in the new black stainless. Love the door in door fridge, enjoy the stove/oven and microwave, but the dishwasher is impossible. The rack design for glasses will not hold any size glass. Glasses continually fall and turn over during cleaning. Often the very top new utensil basket gets caught on the glasses and the racks will not close without being pushed aggressively. The bottom rack has collapsible sections that fall down without force and plates become scattered and stuck together during the clean cycle. The overall cleaning, look and quietness of the dishwasher is good. BUT you will become easily frustrated with the basket configuration. Wish I could return this impossible appliance!!!
Front loader Lg Washer - wearing vent hose 2 times from rubbing against other parts. Water leaked out of hose and replaced already and less than 3 months worn again! Phone call to company and NOT backing product. Machine not even 3 years old.
We bought this range Model LRE3083ST at HHGregg in Sept of last year. So far it has one failed control panel and today after it was replaced a few months ago I awoke to the same issue. I unplugged it and plugged it in again and nothing shows up. The buttons do not work nor does anything else. This will be the second call on this range. I am not happy right now because I have been on hold for 1 hour and 46 minutes after speaking to someone who told me the same company cannot come out until the 26th. It is the 21st. I dont believe I should be without the range for that long. It is their product. They need to get back out to fix it or I want a new range.
On September 7th, 2018, Home Depot Canada delivered an LG LFXC24726S refrigerator I had purchased on August 30th. I had researched refrigerators prior to going to Home Depot and relied on the salesmanâs recommendation for either the LG or Samsung 3 door French style with external water and ice. Periodically during the first 9 months the defrost cycle seemed to run too long and things would be warm in both the refrigerator and freezer. On July 28th the unit stopped cooling completely. 4 hours later it started cooling again. Late afternoon on July 29th it stopped cooling again and I lost the contents of the refrigerator and the freezer that night. After repeated calls to LG on the morning of July 30th and having to send pictures of my invoice from Home Depot I was finally put through to the appliance repair service that handles their warranty repairs as a âpriorityâ. The earliest anyone could come to look at it was 2 days later on August 1st. On July 31st the unit started cooling again. The technician could not determine what the problem was on August 1st so he decided to order a new main board. Cooling was intermittent after his visit and then the unit started freezing items in the refrigerator. On August 8th the part arrived and the repair service set up to replace the board on August 15th. The same technician did the repair and he was done in 20 minutes. The refrigerator worked fine for the 15th and the 16th but sometime in the early morning hours of August 17th it stopped cooling again completely and for the second time in less than a month I have lost hundreds of dollars of food. LG uses a repair service which does not work on the weekends and does not provide any emergency service. After more than an hour on the phone and on hold with LGâs Canadian customer service in Panama, I had to start over from scratch and send pictures of my purchase invoice AGAIN. Disgusting customer service and I am left with no refrigerator, garbage bags full of spoiled food and nothing more than an email sent to the same repair company with instructions for me to call them on Monday and book a service appointment. LG is aware of the issues with their sealed systems and linear inverters and there currently is a class-action lawsuit on behalf of consumers. How disappointing that they have not done anything to correct the problems and consumers are left with a useless piece of junk in their kitchen. Also very disturbing that Consumers Reports continues to recommend these defective refrigerators. I have subscribed for years to Consumers Reports magazine and believed their testing results but no more. DONâT BUY LG!
I have purchased an LG washer dryer model FH4U1JBH2N for ÂŁ839.00, and I have received the appliance with a manufacturer defect. The washer dryer does not have the right control panel (no Drying option available on screen). No other option was offered apart from keeping the washer dryer and sending a technician to fix the defect. Imagine you purchase a cabrio car after checking the photos, the store and reviews. But you receive a regular family car... the manufacturer states that they can only come to you and cut the car open to transform it into a cabrio. In other word, you purchase a new machine, and it comes with a defect, and the manufacturer are not dependable for not meeting the specifications. What sort of company is LG? Would you like to do business with a company that does not care of the consumer/customer? Feels like, that what they see are just numbers... making profit out of people who trust a brand. DO NOT PURCHASE AN LG PRODUCT unless you want to face poor customer care, poor after sales care, poor manners over the phone, poor quality of the product and most importantly 0 dependability. I had the washer-fake-dryer since the end of August 2016 and its useless as it does not do the job I purchased it for. The retailer does not want to recollect the product as they state it is LG which has to approve the recollection. LG states it is not their issue.
We purchased this refrigerator in December 2016. The first issue was the very typical water tube leak which caused cascading icicles in the freezer (LOWES was very helpful with this problem). A couple of days ago, the right top hinge came loose, causing the door to hit me in the chest. I had to support the door to prevent it falling completely off. We were able to reattach the hinge pin and duct tape it to prevent a recurrence. This could have had catastrophic results. Prior to the hinge pin coming out, the door had been difficult to close properly, but we could not see what was causing the problem. I will not purchase any more LG products.
I love the ice dispenser of the LG refrigerator. Very easy and use frequently. Freezer has lots of space and lots of refrigerator space and you can push back a shelf halfway inside to fit tall items.
I bought this refrigerator in September, 2020. My wife and I noticed that the water and ice it dispensed tasted bad and metallic. The cooler and freezer worked very well but our friends confirmed the bad tasting water and ice. We never had this problem with our old GE refrigerator which lasted 22 years. Four visits by LG technicians failed to solve this problem. I wrote several letters both to LG and Home Depot. Finally, we were contacted by Home Depot who offered either a replacement or a refund. Having lost faith in LG products I elected to take the refund and have ordered a GE refrigerator.
Ive had it one week. DO NOT LIKE. Ive used several times for one load (not large, not small, regular size load). Things are NOT clean at all. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Ive done everything right. The dryer I had went out. I bought a dryer and matching washing machine. The clothes smell bad, have lint on them before they get in the dryer, stains wont come out even with Clorox. I am going to call the store and the company Monday.
Worst. Dishwasher. Ever. The tines collapse. The tines are too short and spaced poorly so the plates flop over and dont get clean. Dishes chip. The dishwasher rack derails because the rack is a little too narrow and the rollers arent wide enough to stay on the rail. It derails constantly. Then I have to try to lug a heavy rack back onto the rails and then it derails in the other direction. Detergent door doesnt click into place. Dishes often do not get clean. Purple plastic pieces holding the adjustable tines pop off and rows of tines fall into the dishwasher bottom. The pump has failed 4 or 5 times in 3 years, either blocked or defective. I made repeated, polite complaints to the company when problems persisted past the warranty period. LG DOESNT BACK THEIR PRODUCT! I paid $899 and Im replacing it with a Bosch that costs half of that. I hate this dishwasher! No, I really hate this dishwasher! (It gets one star because I cant give it negative 5 stars.)
