Product Reviews:

The service was relatively quick and the technician was very professional.
The service was relatively quick and the technician was very professional. However, the refrigerator itself seems to be loud and poorly constructed especially in the stress areas where there is no reinforcement, just plastic (for example, the Glide N Serve drawer. Even the inner plastic is not very durable. I am very unhappy with the quality of this LG refrigerator - it is very upsetting especially to my wife.

I bought a LG refrigerator from Home Depot LFX25960ST in 2007. The ice maker has broken down twice which needed servicing. In Feb 2014, just like the other consumer complaint, we smelled something burning and realized that the light fixture housing had completely burnt and melted. Even the light bulb was melted. We called LG and the technician came out the very next day. Told us that this is a common issue and just replaced the light housing without address to the fridges melted ceiling. Told us to use 40 watts light bulb instead of the manual recommended 60 watts (which we had been using). When I contacted LG and submitted pictures and wanted to file a products liability claim, twice they replied via email and plainly rejected it. I now today told them that I will seek social media and legal counsel. I am now waiting for their response.

We purchased one of the largest washer, and dryer 9.0 in 2014 when we purchased our new home model number DLGX8001W Serial Number 406KWWZTH785. The other day I was informed by my wife that she smelled something burning and then heard the dryer making a loud noise. I contacted a local appliance repair company once he showed up I was informed that the motor was dead along with bad rollers. Disappointed at the untimeliness of this situation I headed to Best Buy to purchase a brand new unit.I saw that the same unit offered a 10-year warranty on the motor. I then questioned the sales rep shouldn’t my unit at home also carry a 10-year warranty? He replied He believe that it should also have a 10-year warranty on the motor and drum. I then went home. The next day I contacted LG customer service. I was told by the customer service representative after verifying my model and serial number that the unit was under the 10-year warranty for the motor and drum. He also noted that the initial one-year warranty had expired but I was still under the 10-year warranty for the motor and drone. I was giving the phone number to the L G certified appliance repair company in my area. Once I contacted the service rep I my unit was not under warranty and I needed to contact L G to verify again. I contacted L G and was told by the representative after verifying both my model and serial number that my unit was under warranty for 10 years for the motor to illuminate the confusion. I merge the call between the LG customer rep and the authorized repair company and the L G customer service rep after speaking with the appliance repair company he back bit his statement in regards to my warranty and said that he apologizes. He was speaking in general to me and that he was sorry but my unit was not covered under a 10 year motor warranty. I am upset because he also explained that a lot of units are kind of covered under a ten-year motor and drum warranty but for some reason was he look closer mine was not. I am extremely disappointed at this situation because every unit that I see now is advertised that they have a 10-year warranty on the drum and motor. This was a very expensive unit I purchased it and was willing to spend more thinking that it was a quality laundry machine and now that it has failed me I have experienced misinformation and a bad customer service experience. I kindly requested the service rep to transfer me to a manager. He put me on hold for an additional 10 minutes and told me he was documenting that and that he would transfer me to a manager. He then sent me to the beginning of the call Queue. No manager. Waiting on hold now. Will be explaining this all to another rep. This has been a horrible experience!!!

I purchased this microwave on Amazon a little over 2 years ago. The plastic tabs that hold the glass in place randomly broke one day while not even in use. LG does not care because the warranty is only for 1 year. They want to sell me a replacement door for $115 for a $250 microwave. There is no way the door costs this much. I refuse to buy anything else LG.

Like many others, spent > $1000 on a top loading LG about 3 yrs ago. The control board broke in the first few days, and it took a few weeks to get it fixed. It was also recalled. These were ok, I can understand sometimes things break, and they fixed these with minimal hassle (although it was a long wait for the part when the control board broke). However, now Im POd. After about a year, small spots of rust around the bleach dispenser (dont use bleach), now that rust has progressed and it is also rusting around the bottom lip of the tub by the soap dispenser. I have an extended warranty, but this isnt covered because its cosmetic. The store has asked that we try to get LG to help with the parts and labor (their warranty for these issues is 1 year). Well see... This is the 4th washer Ive owned over ~30 years, and it is the only one to rust.

LG Refrigerator Model #LFX25991ST/06 - After three years of use, my LG refrigerator had a compressor go out. The technician told me that this was common with LG refrigerators in the first 3-5 years. What made matters worse, although the compressor is still under warranty, its replacement will take 5 days (seven with weekends) for delivery. If in fact this has become a common problem, replacement parts should be far more available than 5 days-unbelievable. To make matters worse, my family will be without a refrigerator for 7-10 days (it took two to get a technician to my house) and all items that were in the unit when the refrigerator broke perished. Well be living out of drive thrus until then. I cant comment on the repair because Im now waiting for the compressor (today is day four).

I have only owned this LG for a few months but the drawers and side bins are chipping. I have several pieces that I will try to glue back on but now it is only a matter of time before I break a drawer. I wish I had realized this before I made such a major purchase. Please note: This a replacement LG as the freezer on the original failed within one month of purchase.

I bought this expensive refrigerator 4 years ago thinking that the more you spend the more reliable. However so untrue. Last year during thanksgiving It broke down. I bought an extra warranty but LG said the compressor was not warranted and I’d have to pay for it myself. I paid for it alright. Ever since the compressor went out I’ve had to pay for a repair man to come to fix it 4 times now. I came home yesterday and found water on the floor. For as much as I have paid on repairs I could have had a brand new refrigerator. So now I’m going to be wise and stay away from LG.

I bought my refrigerator 5 years ago to come home to leaking water and a warm refrigerator. I was on long holds with the LG department. They scanned the refrigerator telling me nothing is wrong, to just unplug it and call back. I called back. Was hung up on 3 times. Given repair companies that were not open not in my service area. I found someone to look at the refrigerator and was told it is a compressor issue. I paid over 3000 for a refrigerator that didnt last 3 years. Im very dissatisfied with this product and customer service. I will never buy another LG product. They know these refrigerators have this issue and they are doing nothing to fix it. Same type of compressor is being used to fix the problem which may occur again.

We upgraded to LG appliances 7 years ago. The Linear Compressor just stopped working. LG will provide a replacement Linear Compressor but will not cover the $600 cost for labor or the $350 for the refrigerated food spoilage. LG is aware they sold, and continue to sell, these refrigerators with Linear Compressors that fail after a few short years after purchase. If you are considering purchasing any LG products, think again and spend your hard earned money on a reputable brand. Do your research. I am so upset and disgusted.

We purchased our refrigerator a little over three years ago. The compressor just went. We lost everything in both the fridge and the freezer. All the ice in the ice maker melted and leaked all over the floor. I called the LG number found the manual. I was on hold for over 30 minutes. The refrigerator “specialist” asked me find the model number and serial number. The place he told me to look was incorrect. He became impatient with me and told me he could only give me three minutes. Three minutes... I found the information (not where he told me to look) and he then gave me the names and numbers of two local appliance repair businesses. When I called one of the numbers I was asked for a PIN # from LG. Apparently the “specialist” was supposed to have given me one because the fridge parts are still under warranty. Now I had to find the receipt for when we purchased the refrigerator. This all happened two days before we were leaving for vacation. So obviously the refrigerator won’t be fixed until after we get back. I’m extremely disappointed with this LG product. I can’t imagine ever buying another LG product. I will certainly be warning friends and family.

I have a refrigerator LG Model LFX31925ST, acquired in 2011 for about $3000. I never write negative reviews. I expect that from time to time products will eventually fail. That said, its very disappointing when folks spend $3000 for a Refrigerator only to have it fail numerous times. Every time we have to wait for 2 weeks to get a technician to come diagnose the problem, order parts, wait another week or so to come back replace the parts, then 2 weeks later another part fails, wait another 2 weeks for another repair person to show up and so forth. LG knows this, in fact they have known this for years. Maybe they should invest in hiring more repair people, redesign their product and only sell it when its ready to be put out to the consumer. I have a 22 year old GE refrigerator in my garage as a backup. Sadly to say I have used it more in the past 3 months than my 6 year old LG that I spent $3000 on. The latest problem that I have is that the refrigerator does not cool down below 62 degrees F. The freezer is working, had the compressor replaced 6 weeks ago. I expect as most consumers do, that when we spend this kind of money for a product that it would be fixed in a reasonable amount of time. 2 weeks to a month to get a repair person and the repair done is not acceptable. Until LG addresses these issues I have to give them a failing grade, both to the reliability of their product and their lack of response to the consumer when we need it.

I have been without a working refrigerator since Super Bowl Sunday 2017, it is now April 20th 2017 and still have no working refrigerator! LG had sent out their contractor a number of times and the back freezer fan and compressor has been changed twice and the gas valve changed and still it doesnt work! Customer service and executive team cant seem to help a mom with toddlers. I have been treated horribly, LG doesnt care! I recently went looking at new appliances at Home Depot and they recommend LG until I told them my story and that awesome salesman will no longer recommend LG! I will continue to tell my story until something is done to repair my fridge!

We cant use our cooktop or the fridge and we bought the top of their line. We are currently over 5 hours on the phone, over a month and half without the use of our appliances, one LG service tech that never showed, never called, and no explanation, and STILL waiting to get our brand new appliances fixed so we can use them. They wont replace them and say they cant find a service tech (other than the no show Froggys from Arnold Mo) in our area to fix them even though they are brand new. My wife purchased the top of the line LG French door at Lowes in Griffin, Ga 7-27-14 (over $3000!). On 8-13, unit made strange humming sound and 8-14, freezer quit (suspect frig also but we kept door closed). Called LG 7pm 8-14 and the advisor had me go thru a bunch of steps (it was quite obvious he was reading the steps and had no clue what he was advising). He asked had we reset?? anything or made any adjustments to the temp...I wouldnt even know HOW? He had me unplug, then reset temp to -6 and then place a cup of water in the freezer and call him back in 3 hours. The whole time humming/unusual sounds still there. I called back at 11pm EST as instructed, and cup of water still just a cup of water, did not freeze. He then told me we were out of their normal service area??? and it will take 2-3 days for a technician to arrive! Seriously! Hello, this is the year 2014, not 1934. I then got upset. I called Lowes the next morning at 6am. They brought a loaner frig and placed on our front porch. As soon as it was unloaded, the LG mysteriously started working and the sound went away. I am calling Lowes this morning for a full refund. I am not going to get involved with this mystery problem going back and forth. LG customer service, horrible, I AM OUT and will never purchase any LG product. Please dont make the mistake we made, do your research first!! Shame on you Lowes for offering this frig as a top end! First time I have ever felt compelled to write a review but after reading through so many here and having the worst experience Ive ever had with a Customer Service group I really need to. For the reviewer who said they took a day off to be home for a confirmed (via email) service appointment that was a no-show cancellation because LG never actually had a repair person confirmed - the exact same thing happened to me two weeks ago today... I even called that morning 3 hours into my 4 hour window to verify and was told someone was en route only to find out when I called 90 minutes later I was only then told that the appointment was canceled. I later spoke with the repair facility and they told me they had declined the job because they didnt have availability!Seems Im luckier than most that my LG fridge has gone 8 years without incident. 16 days ago my wife opened it in the morning and it was totally dead. No lights, no compressor, just no power. The outlet tested fine but the lack of lights pointed to it being electrical. I called the toll free number for LG on the inside of fridge and the person seemed helpful enough; Said it probably needed a new motherboard, but because it was out of warranty he would need my credit card details and for $361 we could get this fixed. Thats cheaper than a new fridge so I gave him what I needed and they were certainly very expedient in putting the charge on my credit card! I started to look around on the internet to see if any other reports of this issue and if the fridge could in fact be saved and learned that this whole issue likely stemmed from a small, blown 15 amp fuse... A part that LG soldered into the motherboard rather than put in a easily bracket for easy replacement that could be purchased for about 25 cents. After the no-show appointment, LG Customer Service said they would give the job to another repair facility. They put me on hold, came back a few minutes later and told me they had left them a voicemail and they gave me the phone number and told me that I was free to reach out to them too. I phoned, and left a voicemail around midday that Friday and never received a callback. Over the weekend I phoned and left another voicemail to give them my cell # as well as Id be back at work on Monday and that would be the best number to reach me. By midday on Monday I still had not gotten a call. I did call the number through from the email confirmation the previous week and got a speaking person who gave me the true story on the canceled appointment and told me they could see me on Wednesday afternoon. Confirmed it with them and asked them to contact LG and that I would do the same to let them know that their other company doesnt appear to exist and they need to reassign it to the original technician they schedule. I called LG and was on the phone on hold for most of the time for almost an hour. After an hour and 20 minutes I was disconnected and nobody called me back (all this time Im at work and doing LGs work for them!). I called LG back on my way home and the told me all was good to go.Repairman comes on Wednesday (approximately 1 week since no fridge/contacting LG) after I take a half day to be home and the diagnosis is a blown fuse. Great, but despite it being known from the onset that the motherboard needs to be replaced he doesnt have the part, but they do have 2 in their warehouse and will work with the warranty company on the formalities to try and replace by Friday. No appointment gets made, Repair Service says theyre waiting on LG to approve. I call LG and they tell me another Department cant make the appointment as the Repair Services schedule isnt available online. I call the Repair Service and they tell me nonsense, theyre getting scheduling confirmations from them right now. I call LG back, they tell me theyre now waiting on the Claims Department to approve the part, a process that can take up to 3 business days (this despite charging me almost $400 to replace the part over a week ago).Monday this week comes and I have no phone call, and no appointment. I call LG back and again more being put on hold but now the explanation is were waiting on the part to come in. They couldnt answer me when their Claims Dept approved this so we arrived to this step, nor why we couldnt have had the repair facility (a LG contracted provider!) use one of theirs. They have in stock but Im starting to feel this whole thing is shady. They told me refrigerator repairs are given priority status (a joke!) and that my simple repair was being given a priority to be remedied this week.I called LG back 2 days later (Wednesday, 2 weeks of no fridge and first contact with LG) having not heard back from them and was told that the system shows that I was told that I would be contacted by Friday at the latest if the part had not arrived. I lost my patience at that point and told them I was not told the part coming in would take a full week and that I was instead told that my repair would be a priority to be completed this week and how could we be waiting on a part we knew it needed from the onset, that is readily available to purchase online at a fraction of what Im being charged, and that their repair service was in possession of 2 of them. I told them that rather than trying to bilk a few extra dollars of profit on this 5 minute repair job by using the cheapest available board they can assign in their system they really need to make this a customer resolution case as its been 2 weeks and I need to speak with someone who can look at this absurd situation and make an actual decision to get it fixed. They tell me they will try to forward me to a supervisor to see if they can help. After 10+ minutes on hold the person I was speaking with comes back online and tells me the repair appointment has been made for between 8 AM and 12 PM tomorrow. I thought someone in charge realized and was acting in customer-retention mode until they told me it was not the repairman who had seen me a week ago that would be coming but the one who never returned my 2 voicemails. I asked to confirm for certain hes bringing the board and fully prepared for the appointment to make the repair and am told is the case.I take another half day from work, and the repairman shows up early and when I let him in my house I half-jokingly say to him, Please tell me you have the board and he looks at me with no clue and says he didnt bring anything, the work-order he got only said LG Refrigerator - not cooling. Hes almost as angry as I am that he wasnt told the fridge was totally dead of electric and that another technician had already been here and made the diagnosis. I felt bad for him as he came from a good distance away in the teeth of rush hour having been told to make my call a priority but a total waste of his time and mine. At this point I called LG and just lost it with them and essentially told them their Out of Warranty purchase had to be some kind of scam bordering on criminality as there is no way a real business enterprise could be this incompetent! I was told my account was being escalated to their real Resolution people (i.e. the ones tasked with explaining the inexcusable) and it would take 24 to 48 business hours for one of them to contact me and no doubt the buffer is in hopes that Im much calmer.I have a family of 4 thats been living out of a cooler on my kitchen floor the last 16 days and running out every other night for a new 16 LBS bag of ice. I had to invest in a chest freezer for my garage so that we had some kind of food for my kids on-hand. Ive burned 2 full days off from work and have easily spent more than 3 hours on the phone during business hours on hold with LG. And my fridge is still not fixed, and no appointment in sight for someone to come here and essentially unplug 5 little plugs and then plug the 5 little plugs into the new board. And they charged me almost $400 for this level of service when I could have gotten a new board for $120 and done this myself.I think LG right now on the service front is trying to milk the last nickel of profit on these out of warranty purchases on the assumption it will be the last nickel they see from these customers. Perhaps a self-fulfilling prophecy experiences like this will make a reality. Maybe the US market isnt working out for LG Appliance as it doesnt seem like their heart is in it for the long-haul.

Yesterday I stepped into a puddle of water at 5:00 am, thinking it was my puppy that had an accident. I turned on the light to find that my refrigerator had stopped working, and I had a lot of water all over the floor. It is a 2 year old refrigerator, and never expected this kind of trouble with a newer and expensive unit. Either way, dealing with LG, has been a nightmare!! Nothing but excuses, as to why they can’t come out to repair it!!! We not only don’t have a working fridge, but also keep dealing with inept employees that are useless, and scrambling to salvage our groceries!!! Even after an appointment gets scheduled, some other repair place, calls and reschedules it. We will never buy another LG product, this is terrible customer service!!!!

This microwave has a 10 year warranty on the inverter. I’ve had this microwave for less than two years and the inverter has stopped working. I contacted LG and was given three LG approved companies to contact for the warranty work. Each company told me the labor cost would be more than the microwave was worth. I contacted LG again and was told there was nothing they could do, and I should buy a new microwave at my own cost. I purchased this microwave because of the advertised warranty. Given that labor costs likely always exceed the purchase price of the microwave, this warranty is designed to be unusable. What a scam.

We purchased an LG refrigerator model #LFXS30766S from Lowes for around $2400.00 a little over three years ago. Recently that refrigerator just died and we lost all of our food and had a water mess to clean up. We contacted Lowes and of course the extended warranty expired just a few months prior and they could do nothing for us short of selling us a new refrigerator. We contacted LG and they agreed that it was probably a bad compressor which they warranty for ten years. They sent a new compressor and associated parts directly to our house and contacted a local appliance repair company to come and do the repairs. Thats when the nightmare really began. The repair company scheduled us 8 days out and when the repairman showed up he said he couldnt fix it then because it was a three hour job and he needed more parts. We were rescheduled for another 11 days out. The day before that appointment it was canceled for unknown reasons. The next scheduled appointment was a week away. This time a different repairman showed up and he had no idea that someone had already been there previous and that the compressor and parts were at the house. He left to go get refrigerant and we never heard from him again. That was day 26 without a refrigerator. I finally just contacted a recommended local appliance repairman and he came and replaced the compressor the next day. What a nightmare! Well never buy another LG appliance EVER, and will warn everyone we know to avoid them also.

The control knobs can be slightly bumped and the gas is turned on! This has happened several times in with our LG range. We have to reach above to get to our above the range LG microwave and bump the control knobs. Usually we notice the smell of gas pretty quick however one night my husband cleaned the kitchen and went to bed. I came home later that night, after a long day of work/travel, to find my house filled with gas! My husband and daughter were both upstairs asleep but THANK GOD they were okay. My husband likely bumped the knob when cleaning or reaching in the microwave. The control knobs are completely unsafe and are seriously life threatening! LG needs to recall these! Something needs to be done! PLEASE.

Just under two years, both refrigerator & freezer stopped cooling. Thankfully we bought the extended warranty. It will be around 2 weeks before this fridge will be running again. Techs need to come out a diagnosis issue before bringing parts. Waiting a week for someone to even come look at this is crazy. Reading on the internet this is a very common issue with LG fridges. Compressors failing after 2 years. I really regret buying this fridge when we renoed the kitchen. My old one is in the garage with zero issues after 12 years.

Model: LFX28978SW, 3 French Door refrigerator. Less than 10 years old. - 1st month: Plastic guide piece in ice dispenser chute broke off... Ended up mixed in with crushed ice. - 2 years: Mullion spring--a stainless steel spring--broke. - 4 years: Had to replace water valve assembly. - 9 years: 2 mullion spring broke... again... Lucky I bought 2 springs when 1st broke. I could see that it was a weak part and would likely break again. - General: Door seal around mullion torn, both sides. I certainly wont be buying any LG product after this experience. Ive had 3 other reefers; 2 have lasted 2+ decades and one, a KitchenAid, lasted 30 years.

Loved the size and look of this double door bottom freezer, made a little noise from time to time after 6 months in the freezer section, no big deal, very occasional... One morning 18 months after purchase while trying to make lunches and manage the usual morning routines of all work of families with kids, found all food soft or going soft in freezer!! Food in fridge was cool but not usual cold. Temp readings still said 0 for freezer and 37 for fridge... I called dealer who sold it to us, of course, Not his problem. Called LG who initially insisted I had a smart diagnosis feature which I did not, another 20 min wasted, finally a repairman comes over. Spends 10 min and tells us it will be almost $400 to fix for a new fan and compressor???? What??? I just bought this thing!! LG, you must be kidding me... not buying into your company anymore. Like EVER.

The freezer compartment of the LG fridge (model #LRFXS2503S) we purchased in April of 2021 was not working properly. It was not making ice or keeping food frozen. The company contracted to repair the fridge came, and repaired it. The next day the entire unit quit working - no fridge - no freezer. I fought with the repair company, and they came out again the next day and repaired it again. Same thing - no fridge - no freezer. Unbelievable. The repair person told me he did not think it could be repaired - this was two weeks ago. I called LG, and they want the repair person to try to repair it AGAIN. LG also told me it was not their responsibility to replace the fridge - just repair it. Unbelievable - going on three weeks with no fridge over Christmas. AVOID buying any LG fridge. Ours lasted about six months, and the company has been no help in getting it fixed or replacing it. They dont care about you once they have sold you their product.

I chose based on appearance and most importantly, price/Efficiency. My choice was based of entirely what I saw in the store and reviews written online. It kept my food cold, it worked, thats all I can ask of a fridge. But make them better at removing moisture or more energy efficient. Or perhaps make the walls of the freezer thinner so that theres more room in them (although I know thatd be difficult to do).

I purchased brand new appliances in 2016 with them being delivered in spurts due to back orders. The dishwasher Model LDT9965bd was delivered on January 30, 2016 and not installed for a few weeks later. These are top of the line LG projects in black ice. I noticed the finish deterioration on the left side on 2/7/17 so I contacted ABC Warehouse on 2/7/17 and my salesman referred me to their LG customer service. I call the next morning and they refer me to LG directly because they say the warranty was up on January 30, 2017. I did not purchase an extended warranty on this item like I did my fridge and stove. Upon sending my photos she asks me how I clean it. I dont use product on the item and only wipe with a damp dish towel on top where the buttons are. To be honest the dishwasher does not need that much cleaning on the outside (sounds accusatory to me). She proceeds to tell me to call service repair and provided me a local number that I have not called as it will be a cost to me for them to come out. The finish on my black ice dishwater is coming off around the handle on both sides and I have only had it installed since late February 2016. I told her to forget it that I would take this up with my sales rep. At this point I would not recommend LG products if this does not get addressed at no charge. THIS IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT. I will not stop until this is fixed at their expense since I spent $1,000 on this item. I thought I was buying quality.Updated on 11/29/2017: Here we go again with the same issue Im going to complain about again. The black ice finish is coming off near the left handle of the dishwasher as I noticed last night. The skin was replaced last year on 2/11/17 and its now almost 10 months later and its happening again. I will again, make some calls to get someone out to replace this at their expense on this expensive item. By the way, I agree with a lot of the complaints about the LG dishwashers. They do not clean well and I hate everything about the inside. Tines to thin, dishes fall over, not cleaned well etc... I miss my old stuff and it was not even broken. I had purchased all new since I had to replace my fridge. The saga will continue.

LG service guy came and had no idea what he was doing. We are in the mode of getting service people to come out and say yes it spins too much and yes the soap even though we use 3/4 of a teaspoon the soap is too much will not rinse out is cause we get no water in the tub. I have an LG dishwasher, stove, refrig and microwave in my kitchen. The stove, I love... The frig, I like. The microwave really works well. The only thing I would like to have that it dont is a quick min button. My other unit that was the button that we used 9 times out of 10. The dishwasher on the other hand, I have hate for. First of all, it never gets my dishes clean. It takes 2 hours to run and it doesnt get any of the dishes clean in that time. (JUST AN FYI... THE ENERGY SAVERS IS NOT ENERGY SAVING FOR THE CONSUMER... MIGHT WANNA DO A LITTLE RESEARCH ON THAT ONE) BUT ANYWAY...The LG dishwasher dont even rinse the dish soap off its own door. It is by far the worst dishwasher that I have ever had and I really dont have time to do dishes, thats why I have a dishwasher. My LG dishwasher has a lovely chime and thats all its good for. I have stuck a slice of cardboard in there with my dishes to see if it would even get wet... It had a few spots on it and it was a little damp from the high humidity during the disinfecting cycle (that by the way is so hot that I have had a couple of ceramic cups crack in half from the extreme heat). Second... be careful if you have one of these LG dishwashers because I opened it and let the door fall to its resting place so I could load it and the handle landed on the top of my foot and I had a large hematoma that turned black and blue covering the entire top of my foot for weeks from having it land on my foot. I thought it was broke to be honest. The thing is Im grown and life is hard enough to deal with manufacturers taking advantage of consumers by selling them products that dont work at all. Surely they did test on these and knew that they were unable to clean dishes. The thing is I use to love LG. Ive had several of their flat screens and of course I did my entire kitchen in LG... But for them to know that they made a shoddy product and not do right by the people that supported them by replacing the metal chimney boxes they sold us instead of dishwashers makes me sad... Ive spent months of my hard earned income on their products and to be swindled like this by them makes me so sad that even though I love their other products, I wont be supporting their company brand any longer. Its a warning... If you want clean dishes, do your kitchen with another brand!

I complained to LG customer service about overcooling issue. My tomato will turn into stone, leafy vegetables get spoiled with ice crystals forming on them. So far, I must have thrown vegetables worth $600 plus. My refrigerator was under warranty. Technician would check and confirm everything is working fine, no root cause analysis. After 2 visits, I demanded to have new technician, who said air flow tower needs replacement. After replacement, unit worked for few weeks and again same problem started happening. I called LG, again technicians visited but could not fix the problem. I am still having issues with brand new refrigerator where I cannot store vegetables. Fortunately, I have 10+ year old another refrigerator that I use for storing vegetables. Now, when I call LG, they are saying, unit is out of warranty so you need to pay. My issue was reported when it was under warranty, it was never fixed, but they will not accept. I am very frustrated. It seems it has some manufacturing defect or they do not have qualified technicians to do root cause analysis of the problem.

I used the oven for the first time 3 months after purchasing it and while the oven was cooling down after cooking in it, the glass door exploded. This range model has a double oven - a top small oven and a bottom large convection oven. I have used the top numerous times but this was the first time I used the large bottom oven. Being under warranty, I called LG and filed a claim. It took 2 weeks to get someone out to my house to evaluate the situation. Upon evaluation, I was told their findings would be reported to LG Warranty Department and the appropriate action would be taken. I just received a call from the repair company stating that LG will replace the glass in the door. I am a little worried about this because I kind of expected the entire door to be replaced. How will this affect the integrity of the door? What if it happens again? It could happen any time - most often during the self-clean cycle of the oven. I am very concerned and wish manufacturers would go back to the days of a solid oven door.

Our LG clothes washer is consistently - awful! Clothes come out ‘stiff and unwashed. For example, a folded handkerchief comes out of the wash still perfectly folded. Terrycloth towels come out stiff and scratchy instead of soft and relatively fluffy. Most of the time, some parts of a pair of pants, for example, are not even wet when the wash is done. The problem, I think, is lack of water. It is impossible to get enough water into the (front-loading) machine to properly wash clothes - even when the extra water option is used. Way back when I lived in military barracks and used front-loading washing machines, the water level was generally a third to half way up the front window. Not so with this LG machine. I really regret buying it.

So tell me when I’ll be reimbursed for all the damages? Having my dad on home hospice care made this situation beyond unreasonableOriginal Review: We bought our LG in Oct 2016. Worked fine up until May 15 2020. Compressor stopped. Had independent service person confirm & write report. Cost me $100.00. Called LG for over 3 weeks to get some to repair. Wrote a letter to the President of LG, no response. I have 5 people in our home, including a dad on home hospice care (I even explained that to every person I spoke with. Absolutely Zero customer no service, NOTHING). Finally after 4 weeks (and using 2 large coolers and filling/buying ice EVERYDAY) I called again, finally got through and got an appointment for a week later. I am completely shocked at the lack of accountability LG is demonstrating in our failed refrigerator compressor. We bought this refrigerator from Home Depot three years ago and the compressor failed in June of this year. When I called LG (who documents that they warranty their compressors for 10 years!), they directed me to their rip-off extended warranty department who charged me $450.00 for an extended warranty. After the service person came out and let them know it was the compressor, they said the parts are unavailable and they canceled my warranty without my permission, refunding my credit card MINUS $100.00 for the service person who diagnosed the problem! The contract of the warranty states they cannot cancel my warranty unless they give me 30 days notice in writing. After all of this happened I did some research online and it appears that our refrigerator is a lemon and LG is taking no responsibility for selling thousands of crappy appliances. We have spent hours on hold and hours talking to customer service people at LG who have no authority to do anything to help us. I am so disillusioned with this company and will stick to GE for any future appliance purchases. Hopefully this review will save someone else the frustration of dealing with LG.

Design flaw in LG gas burner knob - Seriously, some lawyer needs to file a national class action complaint. This stove is not “fit for its intended purpose,” which is a violation of the nationwide Uniform Commercial Code. As many other commenters have expressed, it’s a death trap. I cannot count how many times I’ve discovered the burner on and flowing gas—when I did not knowingly turn it on. It is unconscionable for LG not to fix this. Please, will some class action lawyer step up?!

Updated on 06/24/2021: A lot has happened behind the scenes since I made the first post. LG stepped in and offered to set the situation right, so I gave them the opportunity to do so. As you will read here, not only did they fail to make things right, they ended up making it worse. I warn you now, it is not a short read. March 30-Must have gotten someone’s attention. An unidentified person (this is a trend) PMed me via Consumer Affairs (CA) and offered to address the situation. They asked for some info, including billing address for the original purchase. I gave info and waited.April 2- Offer to repair machine at their expense is forwarded to me through CA by an unidentified person. I agree to offer. Sometime after this point, LG orders 2 replacement parts, a new main control board and a display board. I am not sure why the control board was ordered, as it was obvious the display board was the problem. The display board is the problem on every one of these machines.April 6-I get a notification by text from a random number (never identified) informing me that I recently scheduled service for my machine to be performed on April 8. Only problem is, I didn’t schedule service. Someone from LG (never identified) took it upon themselves to schedule this service without consulting me as to whether this was an acceptable time. The text number this was sent from could not receive return calls or texts, and no contact information was available to reach out about this scheduled appointment. After some digging around on the LG site, I figured out that the service was indeed scheduled, and also found out at this time that the above-mentioned parts had been ordered (one part was on backorder) and shipped to the billing address I originally gave on CA. Only problem with this is that the machine is not at the billing address, therefore both the parts and the service tech were heading to the wrong address. If someone had contacted me when the appointment was made, I could have given the correct address. If some useable contact information was made available to me, or if anyone in this process so far had identified themselves, I could have shared the situation with the incorrect address. But none of those things had happened. I share this latest update with the unidentified PM contact on CA.April 7- A box arrives from LG. I open it to find a new control board. Not the display (the part that is actually broken) but the other random part. Turns out that the display board is on national backorder. Not surprising since the OEM display boards have a 100% failure rate. With every single unit of this model needing this part replaced, demand is clearly high.April 8-Tech Visit #1. The service technician calls me to tell me he is 10 minutes away. I then tell him that he is 10 minutes away from the wrong address. He finally gets to the machine (I was able to be there), swaps out the mainboard, figures out mainboard is not the problem. I knew this already. So did the tech before even doing the job. Once he determined the main board was not the problem, he swapped the original board back into the machine and left, planning to return when the display board arrived. Since the mainboard did not appear bad, he returned the new mainboard to LG. This would prove to be a regretful decision.April 13- New display board arrives. I contact service tech and he schedules the next day to come install it. April 14-Tech shows up for Visit #2 (the fact I am giving numerical designations to tech visits should tell you something) and installs display board. I am not at the house this time, or much of the remaining catastrophe would likely have been avoided. According to my wife, he swapped out the board, hit the power button to see it power up, packed up his stuff and left. He did no function check or system diagnosis whatsoever, just looked for the lights to power up. He also went into the LG service system and reported the repair job complete. It was not, and the fact that he did report it as such would create problems down the road. After tech leaves, wife loads machine and tries to run it. After about a minute, it shut down and gave an error code indicating no water flow. I get home and check water supply to make sure that we didn’t have that turned off. I will also mention at this time that I have degrees in both electronic and mechanical engineering, and have been working as a design engineer and troubleshooting technician for electro-mechanical systems over 30 years. So I was able to deduce that we had sufficient water flow, but the electric water valve in the machine was not turning on. I contacted the tech, and he informed me he would come by the next day and check it out.April 15- Tech comes back for Visit #3. During this visit I learned the tech was a refrigeration expert, and had limited experience with dishwashers. He was competent, just not that experienced with LG dishwashers. He figures out that he had plugged something together incorrectly. I am not clear whether this mistake was made during Visit #1 and the incorrect connection was made at the mainboard, or during Visit #2 and the incorrect connection was made at the display board. I suspect it was #1 and the problem was at the mainboard because one of the connectors he attached incorrectly was to the main water valve, thus the valve did not work, as I had identified. Wherever the problem, he swapped the connectors around, ran a diagnostic, declared it good, and left again. When we powered up the machine I could hear the water valve now working, but after about a minute, the same error code and shutdown occurred.April 15 Part 2-The tech comes back that night for Visit #4 (told you we needed numbering). I am there, and we spend quite a bit of time checking out the machine. I teach him a few things about how the systems operate, and using some of my electronic testing equipment we figure out that the system is not seeing a signal from the water flow sensor. Hoping sensor might be bad, the tech ordered a replacement sensor.April 20-Tech got part, and stops by for Visit #5. Flow sensor not the problem. He spends over 2 hours of troubleshooting, including 2 calls to the service center for technical support. They go through everything, including checking the wiring harness. Nothing bad with wiring, but the mainboard is not supplying power to the sensor. It was never admitted to me, but I will bet a month’s pay that when he incorrectly connected the plugs in Visit #1 or #2, the sensor power supply on the mainboard was damaged. If he had not already sent back the new mainboard (remember I said this would be a regretful decision?) he could have swapped in the new board and likely fixed the problem. But he didn’t have the parts, and he was eventually told by the Service Center to stop attempting repair and RMA the machine.April 21- An unidentified person contacted me by text to inform me that the Alternate Resolution claim was started. But I should be prepared for it to be denied because the computer system says that all parts are functional. Remember the tech incorrectly reporting the machine repaired after Visit #2? An explanation by myself containing actual factual information and logic did nothing to change the response.April 23- I receive a phone call from LG asking about how I rated the service I had received in early April. Because the tech had reported he completed the repair, the gentleman calling me had no idea the job was botched, and he wanted to know how I rated my service experience on my freshly-repaired and perfectly-operating LG dishwasher. I don’t think he was very fond of my answers.May 1- Received voice mail from someone at LG telling me I was to be offered a bit over $500 for my permanently broken $1k machine. It further instructed me to contact Shakiah M about payout. May 5-When I talk to Shakiah, I’m told the actual number offered is even less. After several back and forth discussions on both text message and email, I agree to accept the offer, as long as there is no legally-binding contract included. I am assured there is not.Side note: It’s bad enough that almost no one from LG ever identifies themselves, but I am even more amazed by the amount of correspondence throughout this process done by text message on a cell phone. Is this what we call professional corporate behavior in 2021? Text messages? What are we, high-schoolers? May 28- Finally get a written offer. And that assurance there is no legally-binding component to the offer? Not true. I must waive off all rights to pursue further action if I accept this offer.Let’s recap: I started this process with a top-shelf machine with a single defective part. A $200 replacement part and 15 minutes of effort to install this part would have fixed my machine. But thanks to the mistake made by the service tech, I now have a junk machine. And what is the offer from LG after three months of hassle to fix all of this? Half what it will cost to replace it. Now I have a choice. LG is so in breach of contract here (not the warranty, BTW) that I will almost assuredly win in court. But small claims court is a hassle. I have tried to give LG the opportunity to make this right, and they continue to fail me, and will no longer even respond to me.30 day deadline to accept offer is June 27, three days from now. If LG really wants to make this right, then they need to do something better than half replacement cost for a machine THEY BROKE. If not, looks like I will see them in court. And I won’t be suing for just the cost of the machine. Punitive damages will be added on as well, and I have high confidence in my case and my ability to present it. I have been an expert witness in court proceedings several times, so court does not faze me. I don’t want the hassle of it, but I won’t be treated as a pushover either. This is LG’s mistake, LG needs to fix it with a reasonable offer.Original Review: We bought an LG LDP6797BD dishwasher in 2018, with the intentions of putting it in our house being remodeled. We used it in our rental home for about 8-10 months before removing it from service and putting it in storage. It never got installed in the house, so after sitting for 2 years, we pulled it out of storage and put it in another rental property where it has worked flawlessly for 5 months. Now after a total service life of 13-15 months, we walk in the kitchen one day to find it dead. Wont power up, wont light up, wont reset. Looking at a few videos, I picked up a line filter. Not the problem. In fact, once I had it apart to change the line filter, I could see the red LED lighting on the board. So clearly it has power. Then after some more research, I find the web full of similar complaints. The number of purchasers with failures occurring, conveniently almost immediately after the end of their one-year warranty, is simply staggering. The Amazon listing for this dishwasher has 100% 1-Star ratings. Let that sink in. 100% 1-star ratings, I have never seen that on ANYTHING in my life. And especially not on an item that costs $1000. This design clearly has a significant design flaw somewhere. The number of instances of identical failure occurring within a span of 12-16 months of service life is not a coincidence, and this statement is coming from a highly-experienced engineer with 3 decades of experience in design and manufacture of electro-mechanical systems. I know better than to believe that any manufacturer can take products to market and NEVER make a mistake in the design cycle. But what that manufacturer chooses to do about it when mistakes happen is what defines a company. This machine has a major design flaw, LG knows it, and apparently has chosen to do nothing about it. And I guess they have a right to not do anything about it. Well, I have a right to do something about it as well. If LG continues to leave customers like myself that spent quite a bit of money on a clearly defective product, then it will be the last of my money LG will ever see. And I will go out of my way, every chance I get, to encourage as many people as possible to also not ever spend THEIR money on an LG product. This is site number 2 for the day, I wonder how many more times I can tell this story before the weekend is over?If LG believes that not addressing this issue will save them money, I can assure you it will not. They will lose far more money from me alone than what it would cost them to make this right with me. Add to that lost revenue the amount of money they will lose with all the people I convince to not ever buy LG as well, and this will quickly become an expensive mistake many, many times over what it would take to fix it. If everyone else being screwed does the same, we can make a statement that LG simply will not be able to ignore. LG, the ball is in your court.

We bought an LG refrigerator 3 years ago. It stopped cooling. The repairman said that LG would provide a compressor but would not pay for labor, which could be from $600-$1100. He suggested that we cut our losses and purchase a different brand. Neither LG nor Lowes, where we purchased the refrigerator, were concerned that we lost a refrigerator full of food and had paid a lot of money for a product that was now worthless. Lowes corporation is aware of the problems with LG but continue to sell them. When I expressed my frustration, a Lowes employee said we should have bought their warranty.

We remodeled our house a little over two years ago, and my wife bought new LG appliances for the kitchen including a dishwasher, electric cook top range, microwave and refrigerator. I like the fact that when you get water out of the refrigerator door, it comes out fast. When it went out, it took almost two weeks to get done, and that’s the only complaint I have. We’re retired and we can’t afford to go out every meal, so we lived out of coolers and one small hundred-dollar refrigerator for a month. When the repairman brought the compressor in, he informed us that he puts a lot of compressors into LGs. In fact, he finished up with us at 8:00 in the evening he was here, and he went on to do another one before he went home.

I called the LG Washer Recall Hotline first thing Monday morning. I was told that I would get a call in three to five business days to schedule an appointment. Thats a long time to wait just to get the appointment. So I called Best Buy since I bought an extended warranty of 5 yrs (glad of that!). They are not allowed to service recall problems. So, today being day four of the five-day wait, I thought Id call the service provider they assigned me to. No answer, but I left a message. I thought what the heck, maybe I should call LG back. Guess what? They made an error, the man said. They never gave the repair facility a phone # to reach me at. Gee, I would think someone would look at the repair order and figure that out! So, here I sit with laundry piling up because I have an inoperable machine. The drum came off! Im just lucky nothing was ruined inside of it when this happened. Im so shocked by this ineptitude. I once had a GE refrigerator go out. I called the company and told them it was maybe four years old. They had two people out to replace the motor the same day. What a difference from LG! Oh, and my LG is three years and four months old. I hear Speed Queen is the best, but I never see it sold anywhere! I would caution everyone to avoid LG!

LG Fridge model #LMXS2762S/00 purchased from Best Buy. $1700 down the drain delivered on Nov 8, 2015 started with the ice machine then the freezer then the fridge. I lost approximately $800 in groceries and have been calling and complain for weeks. Keep in mind I have children and have been having to feed them crap or forced to go to the store load them up every day in order to eat healthy. They have sent a guy out a few times and still nothing is getting fixed. I have seen lot of bad reviews and am suggesting a class action lawsuit again like the one that started against them in 2012. If you would like to join against them please let me know by emailing **. Lets hold them responsible for their faulty products. Now they are saying they cant have someone out until the 8th of March and it broke on the day before the Super Bowl.

I bought an LG stove @ Home Depot on November 2009. I could write a book to describe the delivery and write a full chapter dedicated to the balanced decision of the person that sold me the defective door on the fridge. Three years, and no problem with the stove, then about 7 months ago I started to have problems with the control panel… F1 appeared but because the building has been undergoing changes, I did not bother to say anything. An electrician confirmed that it had nothing to do with the malfunction. About 2 months ago, as the upgrading of the building had come to a completion, I spoke to LG and for 2 months, I have been lied to and deceived by the executives of this company - very ethical indeed. They want to give me a prorated $700.00 for me to buy another stove. Today, I find out, that the reason why they don’t want to come over to fix my stove, the reason is that this model LSB5682SW/01 was made in Canada and this model is now discontinued. In other words... (TOO BAD, TOO BAD… Revelation chapter 18) for me. That is while I was speaking to a representative. He assured me that the unit was “unrepairable”. I then asked him what F1 means. He said it meant “AN OVEN ISSUE”. Another Executive told my sister “that there is now a SAFETY issue” with the stove. What I mean is that they have conjured up for themselves a code of silence and mutated the truth. It is difficult when there is so much silence for so long - this makes it more unbearable. Now they want me to buy another LG stove. What they should do is refund me the money or fix the control panel - neither of these they want to oversee. Why are there not more videos uploaded to YouTube on this CURSED practice?? I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS WAS MADE IN CANADA.

Bought LRE3083ST three days ago. I have an in home bakery so I need a top of the line oven. I thought LG had great quality ranges then come to find out that they are advertising and marketing all of their ranges as a true convection. None of the Rangers are true convections. None of them have the third element behind the fan. After calling the corporate executive offices in Alabama I was told that they would file my complaint to the appropriate people but dont count on anything being done.I tried to use the range for the first time by placing a few breads in the oven on the first try and then a few pies on the second try. The bread on the top rack got completely burnt and the bottoms were all in the bottom rack of breads. The top of the breads were Raw and the bottoms were burnt. Thinking that this was a defective range I had the store where I purchased it from bring me out another range. Three days later and three ranges later the same thing was happening. When I called LG today to let them know that half of my products were wrong and not baking correctly and the other half of my products were burning they said to me since youre using the oven to make items for customers we are now going to void your warranty. Why are you voiding my warranty I asked. Teresa the corporate executive explain to me that Im using my oven for commercial purposes. I told her it doesnt matter where the oven is located. First off its located in my house. She told me even though the oven is located at my house if I am putting items into the oven and then turning around and selling them that then voids my warranty. Although that is stated no where on their website nor in their owners manual. I was then told that if I wanted to obtain legal action to go ahead. Their attorneys are much more qualified and they have more money than I do so good luck.I tried filing a complaint with the attorney generals office and the Better Business Bureau but unfortunately because their corporate office is located in Korea and not in the United States I am stuck in the water. So I have an oven that is brand-new only two days old and I am stuck with it. Nothing I can do. The store wont take it back & LG wont cover it so Im now out a ton of money.Updated on 12/16/2015: Purchased an LG LRE3083 Electric Range 1 Month ago. After only 2 days the range was not working. LG sent out a repairman who was at my house on 3 separate occasions. After replacing computer circuit boards, relay boards and harnesses, the unit still wasnt working. Repair guy got on phone with LG tech support who informed us that this unit was deemed unrepairable. This unit is a flawed design. Repairman was told to put that into his notes and send it in. After two additional weeks I finally went out and purchased another range thinking LG was in the process of refunding me and taking this out of my home. I get a call yesterday from LG Executive Services informing me that the claim was denied and there will be no refund. I now have a $1,200 range sitting in my kitchen collecting dust. After looking at reviews about this range I found that numerous people have been complaining of the same issue. I cant afford to take this to court so I guess Im out Just like everyone else. You cant even file a complaint to the Attorney General because the corporation is located in Korea.

Its amazing theyve named the company LG, it couldnt be the farthest from the truth! The customer service is worst than the product if thats even possible. Spoke with a rep over the phone and Live Chat, neither were worth 1 star. Sorry I ever bought their product but the takeaway from this is, I can boycott their product and spread the word. If you want a product that works, stay away from LG! I bought the washer through Best Buys online service. Best Buys receipts fade after 6 months and are not readable. Best Buy could see the purchase online but couldnt print the order, therefore according to LG, there isnt a valid proof of purchase. While I am very disappointed in the Best Buys ability to print a receipt, at least they were willing to give their contact information and the Best Buy order number so that LG could contact them to validate the purchase. LG would not contact the manager at Best Buy to discuss. At that point, Live Chat ended the chat. Customer Service, a lost art!

I spent $800 for this machine and the clothes are absolutely filthy after washing with this machine. Like, I would have to take them to the coin laundromat. I am embarrassed to let guests use it. It is nasty. It gives me error messages of being unbalanced even when I am doing a tub clean cycle and there is no clothes in the machine at all. Ive had the service people out 3 times. They did nothing. Finally LG decided that the problem could be fixed – the month after my year-long warranty expired. Now they want $200 to fix the same problem I was calling them about all year. I am so frustrated. I am going to throw away an $800 washing machine because it is absolutely disgusting.

The LG was bought by my parents and they chose it because of the sleek design and positive reviews. It was recommended by Best Buy employees. They said that it was the best refrigerator on the market for the price. It kept things cold, had lots of space, vegetable crispers. It also had a freezer up top that was very roomy. We loved it!! It also lasted a long time when the power went off. An egg container would have been nice to have, also the ice maker would break very frequently or not create ice for long periods of time. The ice maker was my biggest complaint. But I really enjoyed it overall though all!!

Purchased in 2015 to replace a 10+ year old GE. Worst mistake we ever made was to spend $2700 on an LG 3 French Door model number: LFXS30766S /02. I am going to spare you the long version. After 18 mos the water dispenser stopped working and we were told it was not repairable. We kept using the ice maker but it began to lock up due to ice build up with every filling. We battled that for six months and decided to just turn the water off to the unit. Today - less than 3 years after purchased the unit stopped cooling and we lost most everything in the freezer and refrigerator. What a piece of junk!! We will NEVER EVER EVER buy anything from LG EVER AGAIN!!!

In 2006, my husband and I purchased all new LG appliances from Home Depot and paid for the 4-year extended warranty. We have the WM2077CW washing machine, LFX25960ST French Door Refrigerator, DLG3788W Dryer, LDF6810ST Dishwasher and LRG30355ST Gas Range. We have had problems with every single appliance, have had the extended warranty repairs done on each one, and continue to have problems. The latest is the washer has stopped draining and the drain pump motor is broken. Our warranty expired on 14 Apr 11 and both Home Depot and LG will do nothing. The refrigerator is now leaking water all over our kitchen floor, and the knobs on the gas stove are cracked again--they have been replaced twice already! Please do not purchase anything from LG! I know we should have been worried when the washer broke the first week we got it home, the dishwasher leaked and the refrigerator water dispenser has never worked properly, even after multiple service calls. Even the extended warranty hasnt saved us from having to replace parts that arent covered. I wish we never bought LG, and Home Depot hasnt stood behind them.

Dont buy the LG High Capacity expensive washer. It doesnt clean your clothes, musty/wet dog smell. It doesnt fill with enough water to wash a hand towel. It calls for less soap, but sometimes the soap doesnt dispense all. Every load gets the UE code, uneven load and you have to open and shuffle clothes so wash time is over an hour and half. Was told by friends to pour vinegar in every load, or add bleach every time you wash, leave the lid open or mold grows in it!So I had LG rep visit and here is what I was told. Do not fill to line as specified, only 2 tablespoons of detergent, no more. You cannot wash a load too large, only a medium, fill clothes only half way. You CANNOT wash large towels, blankets or comforters in these washers. You have to add white vinegar. Leave the top open always or mold will grow. Every month you need to press tub clean and add special cleaning tablets. So basically, this efficient washer saves on water and detergent, but you have to spend your money on vinegar, cleaning tablets and dry cleaner for bulky items. Then he added this kicker: Blame the government because they have high restrictions on making washers more efficient for environment, they have to make them work bad. Apparently, the European LG washer is awesome, no restrictions. Go back to Sears, buy a Kenmore with an agitator and have clean clothes.

I purchased an LG Washing machine 5 years ago. It had a few problems, leaked and the rubber seal on the door always came out after the wire that held it in place rusted (after 2 years). The final straw was after 5 years I had to call for service and after 3 days the LG serviceman finally arrived. Took my washer away after giving me a reasonable quote. The next day LG called to tell me that they did not have the parts for my 5-year-old Washer. So I was forced to buy a new machine. I would expect that a washing machine should last much longer than 5 years and if it needs service that the parts would be available. I will never buy anything else from LG again.

The refrigerators met my expectations. Ive had it about 3 years now and it still cools well even on really hot summer days. The freezer is really great. Also freezes well. Its also a very quiet device. Doesnt make a lot of noise when running. I like the color, the storage in the bottom, the storage in the freezer, the coolness, the size, the longevity and the pricing is great. But the size is kind of inconvenient for the fridge space in my house. It had to be set out a little farther than expected. The bulkiness wouldnt fit in the area. Its a overall great product. Would recommend it to friends and family. I feel like everyone should invest in one. Its one Im sure will still be in great condition 5 years from now.

I had purchased top of the line LG stove in 2009. The very first time using it my house burned out my whole kitchen and half the house. Now this microwave that was replaced in 2009 has once again set my house on fire. My God do they do any quality control testing? Several recall notices too on said stoves. Just unbelievable.

Our compressor and coil failed on our 4 1/2 year old fridge. We bought the fridge from Lowes Canada with a 4 year extended warranty. About 2 years ago the fridge stopped working, all the food spoiled. We called the repair company and they fixed it. Just recently the fridge died. LG said they would send out a repair person in about a week! All the food spoiled. LG said the repair man would call us to schedule when he would be coming. The day before he was supposed to come, LG cancelled our appointment without telling us and said they need the repair man elsewhere and they would reschedule the appointment for TWO weeks later. Who does that to their customers? We called Lowes and freaked out. They sent over another repairman who said the compressor and coil were pooched. 3 weeks we waited for him to come back to fix it. In the mean time we purchased another fridge to put in the basement so we could get back to normality (not LG Brand). The fridge is fixed with new compressor and coil but the compressor will not stop running. LG and Lowes have both washed their hands and said there is nothing else they can do! I’ll I can hear in my house I’d the constant hum of the fridge all the time. I have never had such a bad experience with LG and Lowes Canada in my life. Too many apologies and no action. Talk is cheap! Stand behind what you build and stand behind what you sell. I am a small business owner and would never treat my customer that way. Brutal. Thinking about legal action to hold these companies accountable.

I bought $4000 LG refrigerator LRMDC2306S in November 2020. It started giving me a problem with ice making and cooling from mid January, even less than 2 months. Then it completely stopped working on 2/7/2021. I had to throw so much food on Super Bowl Sunday morning. The CL E error code on the control panel turned out to be an issue with a compressor. The part is even backordered for 2 months. I requested a replacement. I didn’t want to deal with the repair since it is definitely a lemon with a major defect. This appliance is not reliable. It will give the same problem over and over even with the replacement of the compressor. Who wants to exchange a compressor at a brand new $4000 worth refrigerator?! Pacific Sales manager was no help. I talked to many people at Best Buy customer service. They didn’t want to do anything for a customer since their 15 day return period was over and I didn’t buy their Geek Squad protection. I was told LG’s replacement or reimbursement process takes up to 6 weeks and the approval is not even guaranteed. They may attempt to repair first. I have already lived without a refrigerator for a month and now I am unsure of how long I have to live more without it. I have been calling LG customer service 3-4 times every week for a month to follow up. I have to repeat myself whenever I call for 30-40 mins because the notes are not complete and they don’t have a matching report from a tech side. Return authorization department is never connected even with an hour wait. It is ridiculous you get to use a refrigerator only for 2 months and you don’t get any help or support despite $4000 spent on an appliance with a major defect. I’m so frustrated with all the inconvenience caused by this refrigerator. I hope Best Buy and LG build up a better follow up system and prompt return service for defective products.

My newly purchased LG refrigerator had a continuous leak/drip from the wate
My newly purchased LG refrigerator had a continuous leak/drip from the water dispenser immediately after installation. After six attempts to fix it, LG decided to deem it normal rather than fixing the problem. A few weeks after owning this refrigerator, water started dripping from the water filter inside the refrigerator. LG refused to fix this issue and told me that I would have to pay for the repair. In my interactions with LG, the customer service supervisor was demeaning, condescending, rude, and unhelpful. I wrote LG corporate headquarters to notify them of my horrible experience with LG and to ensure that they knew that I was unhappy with their product and their customer service. Their response was that the refrigerator was working as designed. They never apologized for my experience. After owning this refrigerator for less than 3 months and it never working right, I decided to call the place that I purchased to exchange to a different brand. I will never purchase any LG product again and I would recommend that you look at a different brand like KitchenAid or Kenmore.

My 32CFT refrigerator’s compressor failed 3 times in last 3 years. Still within Warranty. This time it stopped cooling on Aug 6th, notified on 7th, they sent an Authorized tech from Goodman Services: they sent 3 technicians so far, but the problem never solved. First Tech, came in with ill health, couldn’t finish the job and left in the middle. Second one came two times and spent almost 4 hours, told he fixed everything and asked to wait 24 hrs to get full cooling, but never happened. Their customer services never cares about customers, after all they are the only authorized tech for LG.Got to speak to almost 7 to 8 LG reps, spent almost 15-20 hrs on phone, every time diff. answers, even after 1 month 1 week, the problem never solved. They scheduled one more service call to same Goodman service company again for an urgent service request almost 4 days ago, but no response from them yet. Can you imagine how can one survive without a Ref during this Covid situations, in hot summer in Texas for more than a month with two small kids. Spent almost $2k, still in Warranty, bought extended Warranty, which of no use when needed. It has been terrible. Hope LG may take an appropriate action to resolve my problem ASAP...

I needed a dishwasher. LG had a whole set of stuff on sale and I thought it looked good. So I bought it all including the refrigerator and the washer. I also use LG phones, so I like their products. Within an hour after the service people left and delivered, I noticed a dent in the refrigerator door. We then had multiple appointments. The guy came out twice and he didn’t have what he needed. Then we had more appointments that were cancelled. Finally, I had one that they cancelled and when I called the vendor that I had been dealing with, they told me that I had to refile my claim. I then got a hold of LG directly and I found out that the vendor had ordered in a wrong door and all this time, they never returned it, so LG never sent them a replacement. So the vendor kept scheduling an install and they expected me to have the door. The vendor was not knowledgeable at all.It took about nine months to get the refrigerator done. But I love it. My favorite feature is that little extra door on it, but the shelving is not adjustable enough. I can’t get them on the height I would like them. And on the dishwasher, the settings are not made for American dishes. It’s small in the rack and certain spaces, and not as flexible as my older one was and it seems to not hold as many dishes, either.

We bought this LG refrigerator Jan 21, 2012. It is the biggest waste of a thousand dollars we have ever spent. Last Labor Day it stopped cooling. Had to wait a week for a repairman. One took pity on me and told me over the phone to remove the back and dry out with a blow dryer. It worked. So now this Labor Day it wouldnt cool again. And guess what, had to wait another week. We decided not to melt the ice since we had a warranty. The repairman came, took the back off and fiddled around, said it was good and left. The fridge, still four hours later wont go below 40. We called the repairman. He said it is ok to put some food in. So we did, really fast. Now it is 50 degrees. Clearly we will be going back to coolers and five bags of ice a day again. We are so fed up. PLEASE dont buy LG. Not only does it not work well, but it dents if you look at it, and the little humidity control on the veggie bins snapped off the first three days. Just hate it. But it was the largest fridge that would fit through our small doors. So we had to buy it. PLEASE PLEASE dont make the same mistake. Now cancelling cats surgeries to buy another fridge soon. Sigh.. Anyone know a brand that works?

Purchased the LG model LFXS29626S 11/10/2015, and it appears the compressor went out on 7/3/2019. We did purchase an extended warranty through The Home Depot. Home Depot reports that LG prefers to handle their repairs. Since then the repair has been sent to A&E for repair and the repair is now scheduled for 7/22/2019. Three weeks to get the fridge looked at. Lost all food in the fridge and freezer. Seen online that these compressors are not holding up.

After we remodeled our kitchen back in 2010, we purchased brand new LG appliances. Within the first year, a couple of the knobs on the stove (LRG30357ST) became cracked and loose. As of today, 2012, all 5 knobs are either loose, fallen off, all completely cracked. It is absolutely disgraceful that the cost to replace the knobs is almost close to the cost of just replacing the stove. Weve been putting off replacing them because of this cost. We will never purchase another LG product ever nor will I recommend it. What a disgrace!

I had the LG SolarDOM in South Africa, the best microwave I ever had, but sold it when I emigrated to Malta. I couldnt find a SolarDOM there and bought the NeoChef which is also good but not great. I then emigrated to Panama and bought another Neochef. Not as good as the one I had in Malta and less accessories. I also bought a LG Dishwasher in Panama, which has a known design flaw. It stopped working within 6 months and I logged a ticket with LG. The repair company came to check it and I gave them all the details of the faulty part and the replacement part. Then nothing happend and Ive moved to another part of the country in the meantime. Id love to have another LG SolarDOM however it seems that LG stopped manufacturing it. After the dishwasher incident, Ill only buy LG microwave ovens and none of their other products.

I bought an LG refrigerator 2 years ago for ~$3,000. Model LFX31945ST. This week it went out. Luckily I bought an extended warranty and called for repair. In speaking to the manufacturers technicians the ice and air circulation fans go out all the time and have to be replaced. So the technician that was ordered by my extended warranty claim came out and did not replace the fan (did not have the part) even though the error code that diagnoses the problem was clear to them. They cannot get the part a week to 10 days from now. So my food is spoiled (have a $250 food spoilage coverage) which will replace about 10-25% of the spoiled food and I will have waited 2 weeks without a refrigerator because even though they know this part is likely to go bad -no technician carries it. I will not buy another LG product but I made the mistake of buying an LG washer and dryer and I probably wont have long to wait until they go bad also.
