It took ten repair attempts with incorrect parts ordered due to LG cross-reference system. No refrigerator for 10 weeks with a 9-month-old baby and LG would not replace. Will never purchase another LG product.

Our fridge has the freezer on the bottom. It saves my back not to have to bend down to look in the fridge! We also like that it’s small and compact and doesn’t take up much space. The three shelves in the main body of the fridge serve us very well. And the shelves in the door are varying sizes and are all removable for cleaning!

I purchased an LG Dishwasher LDP6797ST on 1/27/18. On 1/21/19 just 6 days before the warranty would have expired the dishwasher wouldn't power on. A day later it powered on but wouldn't function properly. Scared I would have warranty expiration problems, I quickly purchased an additional 2 year extension and sent in a service repair via LG website. Two days later they contacted me and tried some troubleshooting over the phone. It didn't work so the rep said someone would contact me. The repairman contacted me 2 days later and said he needed to order a power board. Two days later he called and stated he was coming to repair. He showed and made the repair and the dishwasher has been working flawlessly. I also have had an OLED TV for 2 years and never experienced any problems with it.

I purchased the LG Dishwasher and it is so pretty. I first ran the dishwasher just after installed and of course everything was wet for a couple of days. I dried the dishes and left the door and top (3rd) tray open as it seemed to hang on to the water. Then I remember the Rinse Aid so filled it up and ran again. Again everything was wet but not as bad. Then I decided to read some of the reviews (I had read them before but on Google reviews). Now I am wondering if my life will consist of drying dishes. That is a job I hate which is why I have the dishwasher. I have been on LGs site and did not find much help. BTW I also purchased a stove with no serial number easily accessible. Not my month.

We had our home built 15 years ago and purchased GE appliances and decided in 2012 to upgrade to stainless steel. We purchased an LG microwave and a LG refrigerator.. Model LFX31925ST.... It was the biggest mistake we ever made. The first 6 months the microwave had to be repaired and now the refrigerator light is out in the water and ice dispenser area. In addition the ice maker no longer works. The Smart Diagnostics says the first time that we have opened the refrigerator frequently... There are no children in the house and we eat out. The second diagnostic report says we are not closing the door and air is escaping. We had the GE products and NEVER had a problem. The only issue was they were white. We are both retired law enforcement and have been asked by friends and relatives about the beautiful piece of junk in our kitchen. I have referred them to ANY brand but LG. We have an LG television and I am waiting to see what happens with it. We will get it repaired and probably put it in our rental property or donate it to the Goodwill. Your appliances ARE A PIECE OF JUNK. I am so angry because my husband wanted GE or Whirlpool... but no I chose LG. Believe me I hear about at least twice a day!!!! Extremely dissatisfied customer!

I purchase a top load washer (model # WT1101CW) from Frys electronic June 7, 2013. A year and 5 months later the main board failed. I contacted LG customer service rep to see if a warranty really does exist. To my surprise the panel only has a year warranty according to one rep (Anna) but another rep from parts (Mark) stated when, called by the technician, that the panel has 2 years warranty. I contacted LG rep to speak to the supervisor to clarify the issue but was given a run around.

Updated on 05/27/2020: After telling me that there was a scheduling issue with my ticket, LG has disappeared again. I had to remind this fraudulent company that that schedule issue has been there now since April 11 2020. They make promise that someone will call me in 5 days to schedule to fix the machine and nothing happens. I have already spent too many calls and emails with this fraud company. I am also questioning how does consumeraffairs.com get paid? As the brand disappears on you after saying talk in private and there is no option for the consumer to ask why or post another comment. I plan to buy another washer /dryer if this fraud company is unable to fix my machine by Friday 5/29/2020 and I have already filed a ticket with BBB and plan to do that Virginia consumer affairs as well. Prior history is below.Updated on 05/20/2020: After telling me to communicate in private yesterday 5/20/2020, LG disappeared again? Buying more time? After officially waiting 41 days and unofficially over 70 days why does LG need more time? Constantly telling your customers to wait 5 days at a time to receive service calls, which is actually 11 calendar days is, to be polite, an unfair and corrupt strategy. Can someone help me get a return voucher so I dont have to wait anymore? LG has proven they cannot be trusted for service and I dont want to spend next 5 years with this cutting edge technology or the horrible service. Looking for someone higher who can make my Life Good as since I have bought LG my Life is Not good without a working washer. 12 days ago David a manager had promised he will personally make sure he calls me today. That didnt happen either. Please understand its not easy to be without a washer for a family with 4 kids.Original review: Bought LG Duet Steam True Balance Model WM3900HBA in December 2019. Was delivered and installed in my home in January 2020. From the beginning continued to give D1, D2 and other errors and within two months completely died of DE error on March 10, 2020. I had bought extra warranty and service from Best Buy but was told to contact LG since first year of service they provide.LG service is horrible. First ticket created with them, was on April 11 2020 they set up a repair appointment, no one showed up. I called back the lady said just wait and expect a call. Waited three weeks and called again several times on the 7th, ladies would not understand English, On April 8th finally got a hold of a rep, asked to be escalated to to a manager which was the infamous Louis. I asked him I need a return voucher. He said they require 3 weeks of suffering before they would return.Created a new ticket and asked me to wait 5 days. On the fifth day no call from LG. Called on Friday they said their 5 days will be on Tuesday (in 11 days). Today, the 11th day, 5/19/2020 called again and first lady hung up on me as I asked for a manager and didnt want to repeat what I have repeated 50 times. Second time got to a manager called David. He told me today to again wait. LG policy is that without any help for 3 weeks they would return. I keep on asking for a return voucher as suggested by Best Buy and LG won’t respond.

I pressed the button to preheat oven, turned to my cupboard & the oven door just shattered and cascaded to the floor in thousands of pieces. I never even touched the oven door! I have had nothing but trouble with the LG Dryer #DLGX3571 which I purchase
I have had nothing but trouble with the LG Dryer #DLGX3571 which I purchased in August of 2015. Weve already had service on it once before and now are in need of service again due to no heat in the dryer. My husband notified LG of the problem, the fact that we have an LG Premium Care extended warranty and that the problem was that the ignition was not working. My husband was told that the earliest day for service was today which is 6 days later. Today the technician arrived and confirmed that the problem was the ignition but DID NOT HAVE THE PART!!! Worse still, the part cannot be obtained until next week and then we will have to schedule ANOTHER SERVICE DATE! So we will be without the dryer for at least two weeks. I find this unreasonable and unacceptable. In addition to the present problem, I have found that only two of the dryer settings are useful - the manual setting and the air dry setting. On the steam cycle settings, clothes finish in the same condition or even more wrinkled than they are using the manual setting. The cycles do absolutely nothing in terms of removing wrinkles. In fact, in my experience, clothes are more wrinkled at the end of the steam fresh cycle than they were at the beginning. This dryer is expensive and I could have bought a simple dryer without the cycles (which do not work as claimed) that would have been much less expensive, provided the same drying quality and probably would have been broken less often. I am convinced that if you purchase this product you will be greatly disappointed in its performance.

After the first year of ownership, what I thought was an investment of a li
After the first year of ownership, what I thought was an investment of a lifetime, has evolved into the mistake of a lifetime. This washing machine (LG WT1201C) is depositing some kind of a black substance all over my entire wash. When rubbing this deposit while wet it dissolves into some kind of oily residue. I had three different service technicians from three different companies all of which said I needed to clean the machine more. Really??? One technician went as far as to say it had something to do with the drain line. I have used every product imaginable to clean the tub to include bleach, vinegar, tub clean from Affresh, and Tide, none of which has resolved the problem. I have even removed the drain hose from the machine, and washed it out (which should not have to be done). The slime inside the hose is not the same substance which is being deposited on my clothes. I had a very expensive set of sheets ruined on the first experience, not to mention having to drive across town to wash my clothes. The problem seemed to have subsided for a while, but now it is back with a vengeance. I called LG to set up a service call and spoke with Cyrus on 6-6-16 who informed me I would have to call back and schedule an appointment with Sears and was given the phone number of 800-905-9505. Cyrus stated these people were trained to work on LG products. I called the number provided on June 11th speaking with Donald and set the appointment for Monday June 20th and was given the repair ticket # **. On June 20th the technician didnt bother to show up or call, after I had taken the day off from work for this repair. I called LG in regards to this matter and spoke with Tori ID#**, who informed me they (Sears Center) had treated her just as poorly when questioning why the technician had not shown up or called. To make matters worse the Scheduling Department took it upon themselves to schedule an appointment for the next day, Tuesday. Again I placed a call to the Service Center to cancel this service call as I had not made the appointment and would not be available due to my work schedule. I explained, to the male on the phone, not to schedule any appointments as I would call back when I had time available. The following day I received another automated call to inform me a technician would be arriving on Thursday. Again I had to place a call to cancel this appointment. To escalate this matter even more on 6-27-16 I called the Sears Service Center, and was informed they could not schedule a service call for Saturday, as this was a warranty call and they do not do warranty work on Saturday, just non-warranty work, and I was informed, by Sears I would have to call LG back as my repair order had been cancelled, which I did, and spoke with Heather, who informed me they have no control over when Sears schedules their technician. On 6-29-16 I started the calling game all over again placing a call to 800-905-9505, and the female answering the phone said she could not schedule any appointments for any Saturday. I then asked to speak with the supervisor and spoke with Robert for the second time. When he started to say they didnt have any Saturdays available I advised him I had already spoken to him and knew he was not telling the truth. All of a sudden magic happened. I was given the date of July 9th with a service # of **. When asking Robert where this call center was he stated it was Columbia.

I purchased an LG refrigerator about 3 years ago. It stopped cooling a couple of months ago. I called for service and was told I had to use a specific company to service the refrigerator because it is under warranty. It takes 2 weeks to get a technician to come out just to look at it. Parts must then be ordered & it then takes another 2 weeks to get the tech back out to fix the refrigerator. I was told the 1st time it was the compressor. That part was replaced. It stopped cooling again within 1 month. Same tech comes out again, 2 weeks after my service call.Tech orders a part for everything that cools the refrigerator. Parts come in within days of ordering but my entire family has to wait another 2 weeks for tech to come out. This is a new guy. He does not use all the parts which were ordered and replaces something totally different than what the previous tech says is wrong. It has been 24 hours and the refrigerator is still not cooling. When I call, I am told it will take 2 weeks to get a tech back out. In the meantime, I am not able to purchase groceries as I have no place to put them. We are living out of 2 ice chests and spending a fortune having to buy ice daily. This has gone on for 3 months. LG needs to be sued.

We purchased an LG front loader washing machine, LG dryer and LG refrigerator in 2006. The dryer needed repair service once; the washing machine had several issues including nasty smell, weird spots on clothes and needed lots of repair, and the refrigerator has stopped working twice. We had purchased the appliances through Best Buy and were able to cover some of those repairs under the extended warranty. All the appliances are long out of warranty now. Last year, we found that there was an internal leak in the washing machine causing the rear left housing to rust completely through which resulted in a flooded laundry area every time the machine was running. Now the freezer/refrigerator stopped working (again). I have not yet contacted LG as I dont expect them to actually do anything about these issues. The dryer is still running as far as I know. In all fairness, we have used the washer extensively but based on my experience with other brands, I would not buy any LG appliances again. They were expensive, turned out to be substandard, and have costly repairs.

The knobs were broken. Originally, I thought it was just my stove. I have since found out that this is an enormous problem for LG. I returned home over Thanksgiving to smell gas. My elderly mother had made some tea while I was at the store. She was visiting for the holiday and was unfamiliar with the stove. She thought she had turned it off, but because the knobs were spinning on the posts, the stove only appeared to be off. It was in fact filling the room with gas. While I was opening the windows, my mother was apologizing while rushing to the stove to turn it off in her embarrassment. Knowing what was about to happen, I lurched across the room and grabbed her hand before she reached the stove.Of course, if she had turned the knob at that time, it would have passed the ignition point and exploded the gas that was filling the room. Instead, I left the gas on at its lowest setting while opening all the doors and windows. 10 minutes later, when I aired the kitchen, I crouched down and turned off the stove. I wrote LG six weeks ago and they have not responded. I think many people would do what my mother nearly did and exploded their house. This product is deadly. It is just a matter of time before it kills people. LG needs to proactively seek out every stove with this defect and fix it or recall the product.

Thirteen days after the manufacturers warranty expired, this microwave quit working mid cycle. This happened in the evening, but I was still able to get a customer service rep on the phone. They suggested that I call back during the day and ask for a manager and that since it was so close to the warranty that they would most likely pay for a repair. Not the case. In fact its the complete opposite. The morning service rep would not even send me over to a manager but insisted on telling me that small purchases dont matter to them. If it were a refrigerator or TV, they would consider it, but not a counter top microwave. So if youre looking to spend money and have a microwave break in a year’s time, this piece is for you! I will never buy anything LG again solely based on this experience with their customer service, quality of product, etc.

I am at my wits end. I have an LG gas stove. I have already gone through 4 sets of knobs, the original ones, 2 sets that I purchased, and 1 set that LG sent (which they told me were now made better). The set LG sent me have also broken and I am turning my stove on and off with pliers. The reason LG sent me a free set was because I called them and told them I walked into my house and smelled gas and my husband and two grandkids were asleep which was unusual. The knob on the stove looked like it was off but because it was broke it didnt turn off the gas completely. If I hadnt come home when I did it could have been very serious. I am ready to call whoever I have to to get this problem resolved. This is a problem that could be deadly. These knobs should have been recalled a long time ago especially after reading the amount of complaints about this very thing. I look forward to your response.

The LG refrigerator I purchased in October 2017 failed to freeze or cool on August 8, 2020. I called Appliance Service Center USA, waited online for 20 min and asked for service. They offered ASAP, I said yes, they said the soonest would be August 18! ASCUSA said I could buy a countertop refrigerator or rent one and they would decide if they would pay for it! The tech arrived and looked at the unit for 5 min. and said the compressor failed. He said he does not know why he was sent because he didnt work on that repair. He asked for a new service date and said they would call me. New service date would be August 24! The unit was repaired with a new compressor but who knows how long this one will last. Two things here, dont purchase an LG refrigerator and if you make that mistake, plan on no repair service for weeks. Who needs a working refrigerator anyway!! What a disaster....

I just purchased LG Washing Machine (412 SS /12 KG). This washer has so many deficiency and crazy programs as it was designed by a kid. Its drum is NOT adjusted and leveled with rounded rubber in front of it. You will never see drum is hanging down. When started it doesnt release water, but it releases water in burst so many time and it waste so much time. Drum keeps turning without water or just barely wet for about 5-6 minutes, depend on its useless programs. Half of its programs are dedicated to Steam-Wash. So if you dont use Steam, half of its programs are completely useless, while they could have add just one steam-key as an option to all programs.WORST OF ALL: it doesnt release enough water to clean the clothes. In fact there is no standing water in washer. They are just barely wet and there is NO option to add water in any program. So as a result I have to wash my clothes twice every time. Completely waste of time. Inside washer is so dark, and you cant see inside to know whats going on. Each program is unnecessarily too long. It just sits idle and does nothing or it spins in one second burst-like and stops or it turns in weird manner not seen in other washers. It sometimes turns too fast, and clothes are just attached to inside drums wall and they dont go through churning motion. It doesnt spin after each rinse to extract detergent. As a result if you dont wash them twice, clothes will come out with powdery stuff on them after dried up.There are no options to had rinse or fast spin to any program. Inside drum surface is NOT smooth, and has rough edges to touch on each and every holes as if they are done from outside to inside rather than inside out to make smooth inside surface. These many rough surfaces will absolutely wear and damage clothes. In addition there is another double horizontal line with rough edges across inside drum, and no one knows what it is for. This is very NOISY Washing machine. So-called OPTIONS on these washer are just that. If you want to change temperature, for example, then other options also change on its own without giving you choices or options are limited when programs are changed. Brief summary of this awful washer is: it doesnt put out enough water to clean the clothes - just make them wet, each program is too long, no option to add rinse or spin. I could add several other deficiencies, but enough said. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS WASHER.

I have owned an LG refrigerator for five years, and have now had 3 times where it stopped sufficiently cooling due to a well known issue with the compressor and other internal components. There is even a class action lawsuit that covers numerous models. Part of the class-action lawsuit requires them to extend the warranty up to 5 years. Since I am now about 7 months past that 5 years warranty, LG will cover the parts to repair, but not the labor. Since the repair is quite involved, it is expensive and therefore not worth it, especially since this would have been the THIRD time to replace the compressor and other parts, and there is no guarantee it would be a durable repair. If the third failure of the compressor had happened just 7 months earlier, I would have been entitled, per the terms of the settlement, to compensation. I realize at this point LG is not obligated to do anything beyond the terms of the class action settlement, but it is infuriating to me that a company would produce a product like this, need to have a class action lawsuit to do right by its customers, and seems content to leave me with a product they know is faulty and refuse to take responsibility based essentially on a technicality. Its disgraceful. Avoid LG products. This is a nightmare.

We have had an F3 error code issue for months, it threw the error for the first time 2 years to the month from date of manufacture. We have had the range for 26 months and the error for the last six months of that. After numerous calls with LG they would tell us to unplug the unit and at first that would clear the error only for it to return a few days to a week later, then when those calls resulted in the error never clearing they suggested that we have a tech out to fix it at our own expense since it was beyond warranty. After numerous visits from a LG referred appliance repair company, having LG first suggest we spend $200 on a part to replace the buttons, then when that didnt work asked to spend another $160 on the actual control panel part for the electronic system LG shipped a part for this stove which does not fit in the actual model we have. They apparently have discontinued the original part that is needed, at this point there is no part that fits our range which was manufactured 2 years ago in March 2018, we received the stove in June 2018 and have had issues with the F3 error button in a continuous shortage stage since about March 2020.This was not a cheap gas range. It cost ~$2,000 and to have spent $360 on parts + another $200 on labor at this point we are so frustrated. that is $560 that we could have put towards a stove that would not be a continuous pain the the side to have repaired, for an issue that should not be coming up so close to the manufacture date on an appliance of this cost only to find that they dont make the part we need any longer. I would not recommend purchasing a LG range to anyone I know.

We purchased an LG refrigerator with ice maker about 4 years ago. We have had several issues with this unit because the ice maker would continually overfill and flood the back of the unit. We have had numerous issues with flooding and ice all over the floor and with the unit not keeping food cold enough. We contacted LG for service, only to realize that it would take two weeks to install a new compressor and worrying if that would hold. I had just purchased food from BJs and lost over $200.00 in food. Not willing to re-experience this again, we ran out to Lowes and purchased a Samsung refrigerator which will be delivered tomorrow. I will never buy another LG product again. Made in Korea, and you must wait to replace parts.

My wife and I purchased this pile of junk 16 months ago. It worked great for 11 months even though it was noisy and never made adequate ice for more than two people. I started noticing that the noise was getting louder. I was told by LG to defrost my refrigerator. It was supposed to never need it. Then it quit working all together and LG sent a repairman out. N, a repairman. They said that the nearest tech was 59 miles away and didnt want to travel to my home. The repairman came out five times to repair the refrigerator, without any success. Now we are talking about a $2,400.00 refrigerator. Now its been 6 weeks that we have not had a working refrigerator and have lost all of our food once and half of it after the first repair which made the refrigerator worse. So it has been 6 (six) weeks and still LG has done nothing to fix it. I have since found out over the internet that LG sold this piece of junk, even though they knew full well that they were selling a bad fridge. Yes there have been many people that have had problems and most never can get this model to work and just lose their money. If anyone knows about a class action lawsuit or would want to be involved in one to recover your money, please do let me know by posting on here. Its a shame that a big company like LG is so evil to put their money ahead of their integrity. I will never ever buy an appliance made by them again. My wife and I are going to have to take a $2,400.00 hit on the evil decision of LG to sell this pile of junk, even though they were aware of the problems. Just google the model number if you dont believe me. LG will sell junk. Knowing that do not plan to ever fix it, and stick you with a $2,400.00 loss. I dont know how the people who made this decision ever are able to sleep at night.

OMG. What a runaround, On Jan 14 2018 the unit (LG Armoire door in door 2 year old refrigerator) was not cooling. Spoke to a rep in the Philippines. Advised would contact tech and order part. She would follow up with an authorization code, which also never happened. On Jan 18, 2018, called LG Executive Service in Alabama for an authorization code and was advised would be set up with a Sears repair company. Finally on Jan 25, 2018 the repairman came and guess what - no authorization code in the system and I would have a $700 repair for a compressor which needed to be ordered. His manager would not speak to a “customer“. Finally I called executive service at LG in Alabama again and was confirmed that it was never set up correctly. She did set it up today, Jan 25, 2018. The service tech was now able to order the parts and would call me back with a time and date for him to come back to install the parts. So, going on more than 10 days of phone calls and waiting will continue for another unacceptable time. Stay tuned! This story seems to be repeated in all the reviews. Very sad for such a large company with beautiful, expensive appliances.

I had a LG refrigerator which failed in just 6 years. I had a LG dishwasher which failed within 6 years. My sons LG refrigerator also failed just yesterday. The only LG appliance still running in my house is the clothes washer, which has rust showing around the top of the tub. I am holding my breath to see how much longer it will go before it too takes a dump. Then NO MORE LG anything in this house.

The specifications on my LG washer state it will pump up to 96 inches high. It does not, and leaves water in the bottom of the tub. It is a LG WM3575 CW, Serial #: 602PNGX2H359, purchased on May 6 2016. It was delivered, installed on May 9 2016. The washer has not drained properly since. I emailed LG on June 2, 2016 about my complaint. I received no response. I submitted an email again on June 7th. I still did not receive a response. After several phone calls, a technician was scheduled to come out on June 17th. He took photos and determined the product was not working as designed from day one and was installed properly. His recommendation was a pedestal or add a check valve to the drain pipe.I contacted LG everyday the following week. Each time I was told I would get a return call. After several calls, it was determined that the photos taken by the technician never made it to the office. I had to take my own photos, and email on June 30th. Now they are saying maybe the extra bend in the hose is the problem. The hose has to bend to go up and it has to bend to turn down into the drain. That is normal and is exactly what the pictures look like on the install diagrams. On August 4th I had another technician inspect the washer, and he gave the same diagnosis as the last technician. I have an open case with BBB # **. The case opened in July, and LG has until August 12th. I called customer executive services to give LG an opportunity to provide a resolution. The representative Robert, supervisor # ** assisted me. He provided the best customer service he could. He researched the information and spoke with technicians and supervisors in order to provide a resolution to the satisfy the customer. I suggested LG provide me a pedestal to determine if that would resolve the issue. LG stated they do not manufacture pedestals, so they cannot provide one. What a failure on your part LG. I will not buy LG again!

On 3/5/16 while cooking a potato in my microwave, the unit started on fire. The microwave shut off and I needed to wait for the fire to burn out before opening the door. It was obvious the unit was irreparable. I contacted LG Customer Service in 3/7/16. At first, they tried to tell me I was to blame. Misuse of an appliance because I placed the potato on a paper towel. The manual states a paper towel, paper napkin, paper plate are ALL acceptable. The CSR refused to believe me until she read it herself. Finally, she agreed I was NOT at fault and told me someone would be in touch with me within the next 10 business days. I uploaded photos of the damage as requested. 10 days later a rep from LG Property and Liability contacted me. Please upload more photos, which I did. Was there any other damage? No. Any loss of life due to the fire? No. Okay, well theres nothing I can do. Youll have to go back to Customer Service. Now Im back to where I started again facing questions about misuse because of the paper towel. I was advised I would need to pay for an LG technician to come to my house to determine if it was repairable or a total loss. I didnt think I should be expected to pay for the technician since I already knew its a total loss and the photos support that. I asked for a manager. Theresa got on the line and told me the same thing except she said I would need the microwave receipt to show the technician. I explained this microwave along with a refrigerator and stove were purchased by the former homeowner just prior to my purchasing the home 3 years ago, so I did not have the receipt. Well, there is NOTHING I can do for you. Youre not the original owner. So after their appliance starts a fire, and 3 weeks of answering their questions, uploading photos, waiting for their assistance, I was advised Im on my own. They will do nothing for me.

Bought an LG French door fridge for $2,500 18 months ago and first the ice maker stopped working at exactly a week past 12 months, so out of warranty. Paid extra just to have that ice maker, what a waste, so this morning we find ice cream melted and steaks thawed in the freezer. Oh great, the freezer is broke at 18 months. Call LG and they say they will pay for the parts to fix the freezer but we have to pay for labor, guess how much? They say starts at $500 and that is if it is what they think is the problem. I dont think so. I would rather take that money and buy a different brand that will last. Oh and I just bought an LG microwave last month, I figure this time next year I will be buy another microwave. Talk about disposable appliances. Did an internet search about LG products and it doesnt look good.

I have the LG model WM2140CW washer and dryer for about 2 years. I have cleaned the gasket, inside of the tub, and door on the washing machine as directed by the manufacturer and run bleach through the tub clean cycle and still cannot get rid of the moldy smell. When cleaning the gasket, I noticed mold and mildew on the gasket and have cleaned them with modified bleach and even used Q-tips to remove the mold, it just comes back. Even after you wipe the gaskets off after each wash, you cannot get all of the mold out of the gaskets and this transfers to your clothes, sometimes needing to be rewashed 2 or 3 times. I keep the door open for ventilation but there is no way for the gasket area to stay completely dry. The smell is so bad at times you have to close the laundry room door to keep it from reeking into the rest of the house. I am calling for service this week but I know what they are going to tell me which is exactly what I have been doing. I would not recommend this LG set to anyone. I plan on going back to a top loading washer just to get the smell out of my house and clothes. As far as the dryer, I have to run it 2 to 3 times just to get clothes dry. Avoid LG at all costs.

I am not a wealthy woman so when I bought the LG fridge I thought it would last a long time (Only replaced because my 14 yr. old fridge died). It is 2.5 years old and it quit on December 24, 2017 (our Christmas dinner sitting in that fridge was ruined). I called their customer service dept., was hung up on the first call; the girl I spoke with last did the smartphone diagnosis which truly is a joke. Said freezer door was open. It wasnt and hadnt been. All the food inside was lost, so we are now trying to make do with a small cooler to keep a few things. Dont know when or if it will be fixed. Bought at Home Depot and Ill tell you neither LG nor Home Depot is going to do anything. I dont know what Im going to do. I dont have the money to replace all the food lost. Its so very frustrating. Ive heard so many complaints since this happened. Wish there was a group lawsuit; Id join in. If you go on Home Depot site, the new customers just love them. Hope they wont have this happen but Im sure now that most will. Wish I could warn anyone whos going to buy one and I hope this helps.

We bought a LG refrigerator from Sears in late 2015. It was a top of the line double door and cost approximately 3000.00 dollars. It quit within the first year and was repaired. It quit again the second and during the third year it has broken down twice. Every repairman that has worked on this refrigerator tells us that it is well known that this LG model has design defects. We have contacted SEARS and been told to go to LG. LG has been unresponsive and continue to tell us that they will fix refrigerator. This has meant countless service sessions where they replace various parts and the refrigerator works for weeks and then quits again. We have lost hundreds of dollars of spoiled food and lost time waiting on repairmen. The repair company contracted with LG here in San Diego has very poor reviews and the service is poor. LG is obviously hoping to wear the consumer down by dragging out any possible settlement. DO not buy LG products. This is an irresponsible company with defective products that has no concern for their consumers. Worst product and product service I have ever experienced. I have never written a review before but felt compelled to weigh in on this company.

LG Ultra Capacity WM2101HW Washer Garbage. I purchased this LG washer based upon the reviews of Consumer Reports - BIG MISTAKE. This washer has been loud from day 1 and started leaking about 4 months later. As others have said it unbalances and gives error codes often. I had it repaired once because it stopped draining. A technician visit and parts cost $400 -- that is when I learned that you actually have to drain it yourself. Who designs such a washer in this day and age? Now brown liquid is coming out of the back of the machine and my clothes and sheets smell like sewer after they have been through a complete cycle. I leave the door and soap compartment open between uses. What a waste of money - horrible product. DO NOT BUY LG. I will replace this POS as soon as I can afford.

I bought an LG electric dryer from HH Gregg in November 2013. A month after, one of the cycles stopped working. I called LG many times. They did send out 4 repair men from 2 different companies who replaced various parts, but the issue persists. After the last repair man came out and was unable to do anything, I called LG again hoping theyd replace the unit. They said the repair man determined my dryer was working to specifications and they couldnt do anything further for me. The guy was literally there for 5 minutes! Not sure how he could determine anything - if he stayed through the cycle, hed see my clothes were coming out soaking wet even though I select very dry every time.I wrote to LG Executive Service through their Facebook page and they would also do nothing for me. I called HH Gregg several times and theyve told me they filed a report with their vendor relations but thus far no one has called me back. Im so angry that I spent $900 on a dryer that does not work properly and am even angrier that an LG rep at one point told me to just use a different cycle! Will never buy LG again.

I purchased a large LG French Door Refrigerator, with a 5 year warranty, in 2016. It worked fine until 2019, when the compressor failed and needed replacement. LG replaced the compressor, but the refrigerator broke down again the next month. It broke down 2 additional times to-date. During this time, my refrigerator (model LMX530776S) and approx. 50 other models, were identified as DEFECTIVE and covered by a Class Action Suit. At this point, I requested that LG replace my refrigerator. As stated above, the Customer Service Dept. became totally curt and unhelpful. They lied to me about the status of my claim and repeatedly declined to connect me to a manager. Once I received an email from the Problem Solution Dept., that I was later informed didn’t exist! Brought a LG dryer DLEX3370W on 04/22/2017. Worked fine until 08/21/2017, called Lowes since I also purchased the extended warranty, Lowes stated that it was still under manufacture warranty and my troubles began. LG did not send a repair guy until 9/11/2017, he diagnosed as needed the heating element. He ordered the part, came back out on 09/18/2017, replaced the entire heating unit (assemble, thermo and element). The tech called service since it didnt work. At first they went through the diagnosis system still not working, he had to call different times. At one point they said it was my electricity not working correctly lol.The house is only 8 years old but he tested it no problem there. 4th call to them he tested the something in the back. It started to work so thinking it was resolved the tech put all back together again and left. Washed some clothes and here we are again DRYER NOT HEATING, called LG back and they are telling me the tech has to come out again. SMH. Called Lowes. They are putting it on them, and LG simply just do not care that their product is crap, they have poor customer service, so here I sit with a 700 dryer that does not work waiting for the tech to come back out. Always out of balance. Cannot wash a small load. Doing a bath robe? Better buy 10 of them so the machine is full otherwise it will not wash and will go out of balance. Have a blanket to wash? Sorry, you will need to wash every one of them in the house because the machine will go out of balance if you have fewer than 4-6 blankets. Forget about washing your bath mats with the waterproof, non-slip backing as those are not recommended to be washed in this washer. Just throw them out every week and buy new ones. Plan to spend hours every week staring into your washer waiting for it to go out of balance because if you do not babysit this machine, it will empty and refill, empty and refill, using hundreds of gallons of water in a futile attempt to rebalance the load. Would write more but my LG washer is out of balance again so I have to go.

LG Steam Washer WM2501h*A - I have been satisfied with this washer, except for its occasional inability to properly spin bulky or mixed loads. However all that changed the weekend before Thanksgiving when it apparently completed a load of clothes and then completely stopped functioning - no lights, no error messages, nothing. My husband did a bit of troubleshooting to make sure it was getting power (it was) and checking online. He suspected it needed a new motherboard. We found a local repairman who was able to come out the next day and he determined that was indeed the problem. This washer is less than 3 years old, and after having an old workhorse of a heavy-duty Kenmore that worked reliably for more than 20 years, with minimal problem, I was very disappointed this new fancy machine was already having a problem with a repair cost of $350. We bought LG because they were getting good reviews, and spent a pretty good piece of change on both the washer and dryer - I would never have expected to have any problem in this short of a time frame. I probably should have stuck with an old top-loader with old proven mechanism instead of trying to go green and save a little water... incredibly disappointed in LG.

Updated on 07/03/2019: This review is the follow-up of my prior review on 7/2/19 of my expensive LG refrigerator that was purchased in April of 2016 and stopped working after just 3 years on 7/2/19. I made contact to an Appliance repair company since obviously my family can not go without a refrigerator. I was told this repair is a compressor issue and with the cost of a new compressor along with the labor cost, my repair for this nearly new refrigeration will be approximately $900.00-$1000.00 to repair. My refrigerator was obviously the most expensive item of my ridiculous $5000.00 LG appliance kitchen package purchase! Now, I’m looking at an additional cost of possibly another $1000.00 for what should definitely still be under warranty for at least an additional two (2) years, along with the loss of well over $500.00 in spoiled food during a Holiday week. My family is now scrambling to get some food and attempt to enjoy the Holiday, however, we obviously do not have a place to even store the food we have to buy once again since we need to buy another refrigerator also! I would never pay another $1000.00 to fix a LG piece of garbage that dies in 3 years. It appears this terrible Company realized they ripped off everyone who purchased their junk products prior to January 2018 since their website now provides the normal five (5) year warranty like every other company always did, but hey they made a lot of money ripping people off prior. I will reiterate and cannot stress enough, stay away and don’t trust anything from LG and their expensive awful appliances now or ever.Original Review: I purchased a complete four (4) piece LG kitchen appliance package for over $5000.00 in April of 2016 and now only 3 years later this refrigerator stopped cooling and all of our food was ruined. I checked online for the warranty and their site unbelievably stated I was out of warranty after one (1) year and would require a paid service call to assess and repair this refrigerator. There is not one (1) other company out there that would provide only a 1 year warranty on an expensive refrigerator, that is just totally unheard of. I also had a problem with their stove after only 6 months but they were forced to fix that issue under their terrible warranty program. In checking their website warranty page they now have a notation stating appliances purchased after January 2018 have a 5 year warranty, seriously my products are only from 2016. My advice is to stay away from all LG appliances, they are horrible products!

We have had our LG Electric Range (LSE4613) since September of 2017. Within this two month period, we have had quite a few incidents when the burners were turned on without us realizing they were on. This last time, we were seconds from significant fire damage to our home. As many others have noted, because the LG stovetops can be turned on by the slightest touch, brush or bump, it is a huge safety hazard. LG needs to develop a fix for this dangerous problem before there is a major recall or lawsuit. There is a lock feature, but its not possible to have it on at all times. The self cleaning feature also seems dangerous. While cleaning, the tile and surrounding granite became too hot to touch, so we turned it off within one hour.

I initially didnt buy an LG. I won my first one at a Christmas party raffle. I took it home that night and enjoyed it for about four years and I had to sell it because of the size of my household was expanding. But we really dont have any negative effects with this brand. The refrigerator was a gem to own. Never had any problems with it not doing its job. Would buy another one without any hesitation. Always keep my food at a constant temperature. And keep my vegetables in the crisper crisp a little longer. The only problem I ever had was that it wasnt right for me in the realm of space. I would like to see a little bit more space in the freezer compartment. And towards the end of my ownership of the product it was making a little more noise from the compressor than usual.

Bought LGs top end fridge in 2011. Had multiple issues with ice maker working, compressor within the first year. The LG technician ruined our wood floor and left dents all over it, which LG has paid for refinishing. Weve put up with not having enough ice from the beginning. BUT, this past weekend the ice maker quit, then the rest of the fridge stopped working. Had to throw out tons of food. This was on a Saturday night, 7/20. We bought an extended warranty. Weve gone through the proper channels and the contracted repair company cannot come to look at the fridge until 7/30. I have to wait 10 days for service and be without a refrigerator. That is unacceptable! Shame on LG for charging huge fees for crappy products. Shame on Nebraska Furniture Mart for selling extended contracts to sub par repair companies that treat a warranty like a welfare recipient. Shame on Mega Performance, the extended warranty provider and shame on Mr. Appliance in Overland Park, KS. Today is 7/22 and we are trying to figure out a plan and get this resolved, quickly. Customer service is lacking horribly in this country. People need to step up and be accountable and do the right thing.

We purchased all new appliances including a stainless LG Refrigerator (LSC22991ST/001) from Home Depot. The first year of use had a problem with the inside of the full back panel of the refrigerator being packed with ice behind the panel even though there was no error message on the display, thus not allowing water to flow with the defrost problems. Repair service was performed. A year later, the same thing happened with ice packed and bulging inward behind the back panel of the refrigerator with an error message dh f. LG basically said too bad, no warranty, none of the problem was covered by them. The repairman was called locally, who had done the first repair; however, he was no longer on LGs service list for the area because he refused to work with them due to low pay, problems with getting parts, etc. On April 16, 2018 he ordered the parts for the error message from LG. Meanwhile, we were out-of-town and came back to a refrigerator of food that had thawed and needed to be thrown out -- hundreds of dollars. The parts that had been ordered on April 16, 2018 came in a full 7 weeks later (almost 8) and were replaced on June 5, 2018. LG refuses to take any responsibility for this problem. Their attitude is terrible when it comes to customer service. The refrigerator that cost more than $2400 on sale has only been used 2 years and has had the two same problems. It is terrible that LG knows these problems will come up due to poor manufacturing and if the consumer doesnt buy the extended warranty it is obvious that they know they will make their money by charging for parts. The repairman indicated that there are lots of other customers with the same problems -- he repairs them and knows! Sick! Very upset, and there doesnt appear to be any concern from LG.

This is a dream come true. Both the air filters and water filters are easy to replace. It has several drawers both in the refrigerator part and the freezer part. It is easy to remove refrigerator drawers to clean. The shelves are adjustable. The shelving inside the door has doors on both the inside and outside. You can open just the door shelf to save cold air. It has an alarm that tells me if the door is open too long. The only drawback is it is oversized. It sticks out further than my cupboards.

I was hesitant on purchasing another LG Range because 6 years ago I filed a lawsuit against them for advertising their specific electric range as a true convection with sabbath mode when in fact it was not. We won the lawsuit due to LG falsely advertising their product. This leads up to yesterday when I decided to give them a try again. Figuring they learned their lesson, I purchased their LRE3194BS. They (LG) claims on their website as well as on every website that sells this range (Best Buy is where I purchased) that it is in fact a True convection (3rd heating element behind the fan). After it was delivered yesterday I opened up the owners manual and it stating it is NOT a true convection. When I called LG customer service to find out exactly what was going on and to ask what the difference was with their True Convection & their new Pro Bake Convection, the representatives could not tell me the difference. They then connected me to the corporate USA office in Alabama where a representative answered the phone. I explained not only my concern but also brought up the lawsuit 6 yrs prior and she stated this unit was NOT true convection. I asked about their webpage and the info they provide to retailers and she simply stated she has no idea who is responsible for putting correct and valid info online. I said this is just like years ago and youre falsely advertising your ranges again. She then Hung Up on me. Hopefully another attorney will pick up a new case against them.

I want to follow-up with how LG went above-and-beyond to help in my range repair. As I mentioned previously, my range went out just shy of having it four years. The thermostat stopped working causing the range to shut down. LG was gracious enough to cover the cost of the repair! I updated my star rating for LG from one to five stars because they were there and made good on a bad occurrence. Ill be buying more LG appliances in the future knowing how they stand behind their product. Thank you LG.

I purchased the LG side by side in March of 2011. The light just came on to replace the filter. Dont you think that $100.00 per year is a little high for a filter? I wish I had checked the price before I purchased the refrigerator. But if you dont fix people with the refrigerator that is not working, I dont suppose you care about a little filer!

They warranty the motor of my LG front load washer for 10 years, and my washer is 3 years and 2 months old; however getting them to come out and to process for the eventual replacement has so far taken 3 weeks. They are moving to replace because it wasnt 4 other things they replaced. They tell me since the part which was on back order for 3 weeks and suddenly arrived without warning, DURING the time period they were reviewing for my replacement which is 3-5 business days, that I have to start all over with another 3-5 business days to review for replacement YET AGAIN. Ive been 4 weeks without a washer. The customer service reps sound like robots reading from a script. They dont even sound human. This part that suddenly arrived without warning during this period when I thought I was receiving news that I could go pick up my new washer? Well, nobody even told me it was coming. The repairman, Ron, didnt even bother to tell me it had arrived at his house yesterday. He had this part and couldnt come out to my centrally located home for another week! Well, he came today and the machine still isnt working. So here I am on hold with robots, waiting for a supervisor to see if I can somehow bypass this mandatory review process which she told me wont be authorized till next Monday. That is 7 more days from today. Their service truly sucks. Nobody seems to care.

We are senior citizens who downsized from our house to a co-op. For our co-op we purchased all new appliances. Among the appliances is an LG electric induction range. We moved into our co-op on September 22nd. The range has not operated correctly with one of the cooktops not operating at all and the oven door constantly looking and requiring reprograming. The range was purchased from Lowes and it was recommended that we purchase the extended warranty which I am glad we did. According to the serial number the range was manufactured April 2020. Upon contacting LG it was arranged for a technician to come to our co-op and check out the range. The technician concluded that the cooktop is defective and requires replacement. The lockout required reprograming. The technician was unable to tell us when the cooktop would be available for replacement. We will give LG a week and if not resolved will consider returning the range. Should this not be available for us to return the range if necessary we will institute legal proceedings. It would be to LGs advantage to better checking out their products before releasing them for sale. We are completely discussed and would not recommend LG. We also purchased an LG refrigerator and dishwasher and pray that we have no problems with them.

They put in a new compressor which obviously solved nothing and refuse to repair the issue. If a fridge cant run by simply plugging it in, its useless! Bought a LRMVS3006S. 30 cu. ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled InstaView™ Door-in-Door® Refrigerator with Craft Ice™ Maker less than 2 week ago. Ice maker did not work after 60 hour wait recommended when I called LG after waiting 48 hours for icemaker to function. Then we noticed that temperatures are not reaching the low levels needed. Result: Spoiled food!!! They sent a technician to fix it (which we reluctantly agreed to). Technician showed up 10 days after we bought fridge. What did he say? No fix. Problems with compressor and we dont even have the parts to fix it. The thing is, we do not want our brand new - not cheap - refrigerator fixed! We want it replaced or receive a full refund!!!. Almost two weeks and still dealing with insurance we bought to cover it and LG not responding. After always buying all appliances LG brand, this is the end of our LG preference in this household for sure.

Sears finally refunded my money and I went with Whirlpool. 6 of 7 LG Customer service representatives were rude and completely lacked empathy. I have been very unhappy with our front load LG washer. It frequently leaves brown streaks and stains on our clothes and sheets. We cant get these stains out with bleach or other cleaning products even with multiple washes. Im sure the dollar value of ruined clothes and sheets is more than the washing machine cost! Imagine buying brand new clothes and sheets and theyre instantly ruined after one wash!Weve tried cleaning the inside of the washing machine multiple times with varying products. Weve also cleaned the soap dispenser and drain pump area. Weve spent lots of time trying to fix this, and we still get brown streaky stains on our clothes. It is very difficult to clean the drain pump filter area. It is so low to the ground that you cant get any item below it to collect the stinky water that flows out so it goes all over the floor. Were we supposed to install the washing machine on stilts?! The hose to drain the filter area has never worked. Its also very hard to clean the rubber door seal. We wipe it down after every use. It looks like some brown mildew gets stuck between the rubber seal and metal part of the door but its impossible to get to. I wish we had our old-school top loader washing machine.

Have finally narrowed down the clothes washing machine that would best suit our family needs. Our choice was the LG 5680HVAS. Unfortunately, or actually luckily, my wife decided to dry run the washer by attempting to simulate retrieving clothes once washed. She discovered, at 5 3, she could not reach the bottom of the tub. We then went on to investigate the Maytag designs as well as the Samsung, and GE. We did not review any others. It appears that all of the HE designs have incorporated a physically taller design to facilitate the deeper drum. Bottom line, if you are 5 5 or physically shorter, dont buy one of these machines as you will be greatly inconvenienced every time you use it.

LG model LFX2597ST - Had 3 companies change out mother boards, ice makers, board in back of the refrigerator! Bought refrigerator in Sept 2014, a week later shelf and plastic cracked, and plastic dispenser of ice broke. Was fixed and two months later it broke again along with the ice maker slowing down in making ice. Its taken three months of constant calling, waiting parts, trying to fix and issues are getting worse. Talked to supervisor. She sent letter to main office and I just keep getting the run around. Almost a year and fridge still not fixed. I think they just dont care about the irritation of people spending hard earned money and should cover the warranty when its not even a year. I am so upset now that when I hear LG or see it, I feel I became a victim. It hurts and feel sad that a company who I used to like could do this! ALL I ASK IS WHAT NOW. Where to start... Loading this is awkward. Nothing fits easily without having to adjust the racks. The silverware holder is flimsy and falls apart every time you pull it out. I had to zip ties ours together. It takes more than 2 hours to run a Normal wash. And unless you washed everything before loading, the chances of the load being 100 percent clean is slim to none. You have a better chance of George Clooney and Brad Pitt washing and drying your dishes by hand than you do of getting a clean load out of this machine! You have to use liquid soap. Pods wont dissolve in this machine. Theres a filter. A pain-in-the-butt filter, with a Rubber washer that is to be emptied and cleaned every few days. Plus the spray arms clog.Often... THIS MACHINE REQUIRES MORE MAINTENANCE THAN A BEVERLY HILLS HOUSEWIFE!!! And like a RHOBH, it does NOT work! This is a perfect machine for a Newlywed couple who is despised by a frenemy or scorned mother in law. This machine will drive a newlywed insane. Night after night of unclean dishes. This is the kind of machine that will give a new wife an eating disorder... If you buy this machine, your spouse will not only question your thought process about this purchase, but he will question you. And why he ever dumped Susan for you. He will question all of his life choices with you after a few weeks with this purchase. This machine is that bad. Im serious. I would not buy this machine for Eva Braun as a wedding present. I wouldnt wish it on her. Dont. Just dont.

We purchased an LG Fridge for our condo in 2007. We had a problem with it in September 2014. Because it is at our condo out of town there is no LG repair staff anywhere near. The local repair companies are not allowed to purchase parts and in spite of it being off warranty my own attempts to purchase the parts myself were denied. My only option was bring it into the city to have it repaired. I ended up buying a brand new fridge that was definitely not LG but was a brand that is locally serviced. Based on this poor service experience I would highly recommend against ever making any type of LG purchases.

I just remodeled my home. They started in November, and I got to the kitchen part of it in December, and I had to go and get a new refrigerator, stove, and a microwave, so I just bought the bundle. I was gonna go with Samsung, and the lady that was at Home Depot said that LG is better and that she could give me a deal on it. I just bought the bundle of refrigerator, microwave and oven. I havent had a problem with the microwave or oven, but the refrigerator is disappointing. It was the freezer part of the refrigerator that I have a problem with. At first, I picked out one that didnt have the icemaker, and it was sold out by the time I got back to purchase it. And so, the lady set me up with the refrigerator I have now. They put it in in December, and I started having trouble and noticed some things were going on in February. Then in May, it was really not freezing the bottom half, but I like the freezer part of it. My old refrigerator had the freezer on top, and I like the bottom freezer, but it just doesnt work. I do like the icemaker feature and when it was making ice. I also like the water part of it, and then the freezer thats in the bottom. Its a nice refrigerator. It was kinda top of the line, and then the lady gave me a little bit of a discount on it, so we have then paid for it.There was a technician out here who was checking it out. LG sent him out, and they figured out it was the temperature gauge, but he said in 2020 they are coming out with the new coolant for the refrigerator. So, I dont know if that would make a difference, but it isnt gonna help me because the reason they couldnt replace that is that they said they didnt have technicians to do it, so it might be something new. Also, I just got an email from Mat, and he said theyre still figuring out whether theyre give me the refund or a replacement. I know I took a little time. I didnt know how to take pictures of my papers and download them to him. I figured that out, and I finally got it to him yesterday. He replied back that he gave it to his boss, and theyre still looking it over.

I bought an LG door in a door refrigerator February 2015. Within a few months the compressor broke. I called LG and they refused to fix it. After numerous calls and getting the credit card company involved, who rescinded my payment, they replaced the compressor. One month later, the compressor broke again. Mind you this is happening in the middle of summer. First they couldnt get the part then they couldnt get a technician. After a couple of months and $500.00 worth of lost food (which was never paid for), they replaced the compressor. Now, suddenly, the ice maker is not working. They are refusing to pay for it and it will cost me $371.00 to replace. I called LG Customer Service and there were lies galore... Like, We will check on this and call you in an hour, we will call you at the end of business, we will call you in 48 hours... All not true. This refrigerator is poor quality at a high price. It should have been removed and replaced with the first compressor breakdown. Additionally, I also bought an LG Washing Machine. All worked well until the washboard bolts that hold this piece at the bottom of the machine gave way and during a very fast spin, spun out of control, hit the washer cover, which opened and out flew the piece. They did fix this after a lot of screaming and yelling. I would not trust their products. There are many others on the market that are manufactured with quality in mind.

We are without a washing machine and LG does not stand behind their product
We are without a washing machine and LG does not stand behind their products. From all the reviews, it appears we do have enough people to level a class action suit against LG. Are you in? We purchased a LG front-loading washing machine in November 2014 from Home Depot. When the machine was delivered, there was rust inside the drum. We called Home Depot and complained and two weeks later (a month and a half after purchase) we finally received a new washer. Around the end of June 2015, (6 months) I noticed a loud notice when the clothes were washing, it sounded like the drum was rubbing. I mentioned it to my husband who told me it was nothing. In July the noise was getting louder so I called LG for service. The customer service was atrocious! They told me that the technician was only available on 1 day and that if I was not available, then I would have to call back because they did not have a schedule for the technician the following week. I asked the representative to call me back when they had a schedule and he agreed, but I never got a call back. I called the following week and again I was told they only had a schedule for Tuesday. I asked for a supervisor, Cherry, who advised me to keep Wednesday, Thursday and Friday open for the technician and that she would call me. I asked her to have a member of management call me and she said they would call me back in 48 to 72 business hours. After 96 business hours, no one called me back, so I called again. A supervisor, Vincent, said he would get a technician out there on Monday. The technician arrived on Monday, and stated it was stator assembly and rotor assembly but stated hopefully it is not the drum, and that he would order the parts and be back on Tuesday to replace them. When he showed up on Tuesday to replace the parts, he said, oh no - the drum shaft is bent and that we would need a whole new rebuild of the machine. He then told my husband to call Customer Service because he could not order the parts (he was able to order them the day before) - that we needed to order them through Customer Service. While my husband was on the phone with Customer Service, the technician Nick just left. My husband then spent the whole day on Wednesday trying to get answers. Mid-day he was able to contact Sherry in the Executive Offices who told him she would research the issue and contact him by the end of the day about replacing the unit. She did contact him back and asked him to get the invoice because she did not have the information - however LG had the purchase date, model number and place of purchase. I then tried to contact Sherry the following day. Sherry indicated to me that she spoke to LG Management and that they refused to replace the machine but would order the parts for rebuild. When I asked Sherry when the parts would be in, and when we could expect the repairs to be done, she stated, The technician will give you a call when the parts arrive to schedule service. I then explained to her this was not acceptable to have a time frame and that I also wanted to keep the parts that are replaced for evidence. She told me she did not think I could do that, that decision would be up to the technician. I explained again that I was keeping the parts for evidence. My husband then called back and asked to speak with Sherrys manager. Amber, who answered the phone, said that she was Sherrys manager and there was no one above her to speak to. She stated that LG will not replace the machine, and that someone would call us when the parts arrive. We are without a washing machine, and LG does not stand by their products. NEVER, EVER, BUY LG. You will have dirty clothes and you will have $1000 less in your pocket! 10-year warranty - BS!

I bought an LG refrigerator model No.195NC5 on 06.10.09. I noticed recently that the body paint at the bottom is rusted and still peeling off. I contacted your technician through my dealer at Kottakkal in Malappuram dist. The technician informed me that the warranty period is over and theres nothing to do. Though the complaint noticed recently it occurred, quite early, within one year of purchase. I am not only a customer of LG refrigerator but I have LG TV, LG PC and likely to buy an LG washing machine. I expect your favorable action.

So disappointed in this product and customer service! My husband and I built a house in 2017. Bought all of our appliances range, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator all in a bundle from Lowe’s in Bedford, IN. So elated about having a new house with all new appliances! My elation quickly turned in to total frustration! Only after 14 months of use the compressor went out. Let me repeat that AFTER 14 MONTHS! After several phone calls to the store, the customer info center the Lowe’s Extended Protection number. No one I spoke with could give us the same answers to any of our questions. It took weeks to get a service rep to even look at it and when he finally arrives and determined the compressor was bad he had no replacement with him. Had to be ordered which took awhile to arrive, a few more weeks before they could come back to install the new one. Only after cancelling and having to reschedule that appointment in which I had to miss work to be available to let him in to service the refrigerator. A loaner was offered at one point in time but I was told that could take a week to deliver not knowing that the replacement part would not be available on the first visit I declined. Was also told by one representative that we could just replace the refrigerator then only to be told by another that was not the case. I wrote down all the names of every one I spoke with and even had each one send me our dictated conversation in e-mail. They would not stand by their word. Never could I get a manager on the phone. Was always told that Customer Service does not have one. Most call centers operate off of a 3 tier system so I found it hard to believe that one. It took a total of 12 weeks to have the issue fixed Missed days at work, food loss, all the phone calls and time spent talking on the phone and getting no real answers. Was told at one point we could use a local repair man and the Extended Protection Plan that we purchased would cover the cost only to be told by someone else that it would NOT and if we chose that route it would void the EPP all together. Could had it fixed in 2 days as opposed to 12 weeks. The whole reason I am writing this review today is because after going through all of this our freezer isn’t defrosting correctly and therefore the ice maker isn’t working, the food in the freezer is barely frozen. The temp is set on minus 4 but the thermometer has placed on the inside barely reads 32 degrees. Here we go again!!!! So disheartening to spend so much money that you work so hard for on a product and to be so disappointed by it and the customer service that you have to deal with. LG 26.1 cu ft Side by Side Refrigerator with ice maker and Door within Door Black Stainless Steel Item # 708951 Model # LSXS 26386D.

W2277 tromm washer - Pay a premium price for an appliance, then buy an extended warranty to cover the problems in the first couple of years (and there were several), then the whole thing needs to be replaced just before year 5. Now you can go shopping again and repeat the whole process over again. Wash-rinse-repeat. Tub bearing, tub, carrier... I can buy new for the repair cost. Got to spend $150 for the bad news. And I have to have the carcass hauled off.

This has been the worst washer ever. Like so many reviews before me the washing machine never shuts off. I have been washing one blanket since 9:00 this morning. I just told it to spin out so it would stop. I read many of the reviews on this LG waveforce washer yesterday and felt it wasnt worth the time and money to work with it. Cost me $2000 today to replace the washer and dryer because I wanted them to match. I am actually going to set the pair in garage hoping that there is a class action suit and I get my money back.

Worst washer I have ever had. Does not wash dried food etc off clothes. I think it dont give enough water to wash properly. I always do extra rinse cycle because I dont like the thought of wearing detergent in my clothes. If I could afford to get rid of this piece of ** I would. But right now Im stuck with it. If I could give this washer a no star I would because it is worthless.

I used to love LG products; however, my wife and I bought an LG refrigerator along with an LG washer, dryer, microwave, and dishwasher. Our refrigerator stopped cooling all together. After trying to do the simply things LG suggests, we had to call for service. Called on Thursday the 12th and they scheduled an appointment for Monday the 16th 1-5pm. I called the service company on Friday to confirm and they said there was nothing scheduled. Called LG and they set us up with another service provider; however, the earliest they could be out was Tuesday the 24th. Spent 55 mins on the phone with LG and they said they cant do anything else and the line to the service scheduling department is down. When they work they are great. When they break while still under warranty its not worth it. Buy a different companys product. Thanks.

On November of 2011 I bought a top load LG washer, model WT5001CW. It worked great until a few months ago when the bleach dispenser area has begun to rot. It is so bad that the entire area where the bleach goes has come off the hinges and is just dangling off the base. When I contacted LG, I was told that the warranty did not cover cosmetic issues. When I asked to speak with a manager and explain that this more than a cosmetic issue, this is a manufactured defect! I was told that my case would be reviewed and they would get back with as soon as they made a decision. Two months later, I am yet to hear from them. This company needs to take responsibility for the manufacturing of their products.

I also purchased an LG front load washer with all the bells and whistles. The first month, it worked fine, then clothes were coming out with holes in them and the color was gray and dingy. I have written at least five letters, and as yet have not received any written response. Upon calling, l was referred to repair or Best Buy. My warranty was not an issue, but l failed to get any results. It has been three years and l as a consumer will never purchase an LG product again. And interestingly enough, on the day it was delivered, the delivery guy stated, Good luck as the machine is a piece of junk. He was absolutely correct.

Like others have mentioned, the lint filter on the dryer lifts up on the corner where the clothes land as they tumble. This causes clothes to catch on the corner of the filter and get destroyed. This also allows more lint to get through past the filter, causing lint to buildup inside the dryer and in the ducts leading outside your home. Weve lost countless articles of clothing. We have replaced the lint filter, but it still sticks out and catches clothes.

I purchased a Front Load LG WM4270HWA along with matching dryer from Standard Appliance in Portland, Oregon, after reading good ratings online from Consumer Reports for these front loading machines. I had my Asko Asea dryer go out for the third time which I purchased in 2003. I was under pressure because of a pending breast cancer surgery within a week and was told by their repair group that they likely could not get parts on the older Asko. I ordered the new LG set needing sterile clean sheets and nightie after sterile prep before surgery. The repair company called and said five days later they could get the parts to repair the dryer, but it was too late, I had ordered the LG set to be delivered the next day.My first run was one queen set of sheets, nightie and one towel. I immediately got the infamous UE signal and called the LG service number and was told to wash only one type of item at one time. I kept rearranging the load to no avail. I was then told to wash only one sheet at a time. I ran the spin and dry cycle several times to no avail. I then put the very wet sheets in the dryer with over an hour of drying. During the night I was sickened by the smell of sheets and nightie and had to change everything before my surgery. After surgery recovery three weeks later, I attempted to run three different loads of laundry. All kept giving the UE signal. I have severe osteoarthritis (knees and shoulders) and had to travel up and down the stairs to keep reloading the machine because of balance errors. None of the loads came out clean the way my working Asko had cleaned. I then read the ConsumerAffairs report on the machine to find out these machines were not worth keeping especially since I have an extreme mold sensitivity (I am the worst HLA type for mold causing many chronic illnesses).Standard agreed to take the machines back and although they could not retrieve and repair my old set as they had already parted out, for an additional 900 dollars (10% restocking fee plus added cost of Askos) they would send me a new set of Asko washer and dryers. Not the best solution for someone on a fixed income but much better than keeping a mold hazard. Asko was one of the few front loaders not included in the mold class action suits. It should be required to tell customers of pending class action suits before the purchase of expensive appliances. Mold is a life threatening issue for many people. Twenty five percent of the population do not clear toxins from their bodies. I am disappointed that Standard did not tell me of the mold issue but they did take back the machines which I appreciate.

Both washer and dryer match. I have the clear top to look down into the top loading washer. It does an excellent wash job, handles large loads with ease, and has more than enough cycle options. Its energy efficient by using only the necessary amount of water. Cant believe I waited this long to buy a new model.

My husband and I purchased an LG Refrigerator, model number LFC23760ST. It was delivered on 6/17/2009. About 1 month later, we experienced getting shocked while reaching for food items while holding on to the door. We called LG, and they told us to call an authorized repair agency and gave us 2 names. We called both of those companies and neither would come to look at our appliance. They said that LG doesnt pay them. We called LG. They told my husband that it must be a problem with the house and not the refrigerator. My husband talked to them on many more occasions, and they said that they would send someone, but no one ever came. Now, the refrigerator completely went out. On October 12th 2011, we called LG. They gave us the same name (1 now) of an authorized repair agency. We called them and they do not come to our area. So, apparently, we never have had any warranty on this product. We did get Sears appliance repair to come out. It turns out to be a blown fuse that is soldered to a control panel. So, $369.00 later and another week without a refrigerator (to order the part), did the short causing us to be shocked cause the fuse to go out? When the repair gets made, will we still get shocked? Why is LG not more concerned about my well-being and that of husbands, and should there be death or serious injury before they will show care at all? Or maybe, the only time they will care is if they are sued and it hurts their pocket book? It has hurt mine both in repairs and loss of groceries. I dont know if anything can be done about this situation but I will never purchase another LG product, and I will tell as many people who will listen not to do so as well. Always remember, if you have a warranty repair on an LG product, no one will come!

The service was relatively quick and the technician was very professional. However, the refrigerator itself seems to be loud and poorly constructed especially in the stress areas where there is no reinforcement, just plastic (for example, the Glide N Serve drawer. Even the inner plastic is not very durable. I am very unhappy with the quality of this LG refrigerator - it is very upsetting especially to my wife.
