Purchased LG side by side bottom freezer 24 cf refrigerator in Jan 2015, main control board went out within 3 month, fixed under warranty. Fast forward 3 years compressor went out. Had to pay labor. LG service backed up 3 weeks. Currently refrigerator compartment not cooling. Less than 48 degrees. Down since 6/21/20 had not been working right for a while. It was making drilling sound. Replaced a fan 7/1. Sound stopped. Its still not cooling. I have been waiting for more parts since tech came back out on 7:14. This was third visit. No one will talk to me at LG. This is a defective product and I have received no response from LG at all. Should not be down for 5 weeks. I have asked for their help 5 times with calls and three emails. I have had no customer support at all. I am Very frustrated and extremely disappointed in their lack of concern. They manufactured and sold a defective product and have offered no resolution or even acknowledged my complaint I have had a horrible experience to this point.

My washer is just over 3 yrs old and the bearing went. When I called LG to explain the problem they told me that the parts were under warranty but the service call wasnt. So they would charge me for a service call and the labor!! And then they went on saying and if it is something else other than the motor/bearing or parts that are covered then we will be responsible for the parts. All that is wrong is a bearing went and it should be covered a 100%. She goes on saying if you read page in your owners manual it goes over what is covered and that we dont cover service calls or labor. She was very rude and no help at all. I feel a washer should last longer than 3 yrs. I take exceptionally good care of my things and LG just falls apart. I am now looking into other companies that do repairs on appliances cause after reading other peoples horror stories I dont want any of their rude, unprofessional, crappy employers stepping foot into my home. My luck their employees would disconnect something and flood my house!

The refrigerators met my expectations. Ive had it about 3 years now and it still cools well even on really hot summer days. The freezer is really great. Also freezes well. Its also a very quiet device. Doesnt make a lot of noise when running. I like the color, the storage in the bottom, the storage in the freezer, the coolness, the size, the longevity and the pricing is great. But the size is kind of inconvenient for the fridge space in my house. It had to be set out a little farther than expected. The bulkiness wouldnt fit in the area. Its a overall great product. Would recommend it to friends and family. I feel like everyone should invest in one. Its one Im sure will still be in great condition 5 years from now.

LG makes terrible appliances. I purchase all new kitchen appliances last year. I am not happy with any of them. The dishwasher in particular likes to remind me of my terrible purchase with each cycle. The door alarm will sound at least once each cycle. When this happens I am forced to open and close the door and restart in a certain time. When I call customer support, they tell me all authorized service techs are booked. I will be purchasing an entire kitchen appliances package again in the near future. You can bet life will get better.

Freezer and Fridge section stopped maintaining temperature. Called to get a smart diagnostic but after describing the symptoms, skipped the diagnostic and went straight to need a technician. Thursday morning phone call results is an appointment for Wednesday. I understand that the times are challenging but a week seems a little extreme for a service appointment. The $3000.00 refrigerator was purchased on 4/15/18. The good news it is under warranty and may only have to pay for labor.

We purchased our LG linear compressor refrigerator 3 years ago along with a LG gas stove with double ovens. Last year the ice maker broke and the upper oven igniter went out. Now the compressor has gone out on the fridge. It leaked water all over my hardwood floors. Of course everything is out of warranty. Im so disgusted with LG. These appliances were part of a kitchen renovation from Home Depot. Never, ever again!!! My husband was able to fix the oven, but after reading all the negative comments, we are buying a new fridge and tossing the LG. Enough is enough. I hope the class action lawsuit in Illinois is successful.

In 2012 LG issued a recall on a series of ranges due to a major safety issue many consumers experienced with faulty burners. The recall was issued in the first place to have the burners replaced BEFORE there was a fire or injury. However, I just discovered the recall yesterday, and after finding that our stove was subject to it, called LG today to schedule an appointment for repair. What I encountered instead was a stonewalling by the CSRs. I disclosed to them that we had not experienced any issues with the burners, but that as a precaution, we would like to have the repair affected. The CSRs were adamant that unless we had experienced a safety issue, they were not authorized to schedule an appointment. I then insisted that they schedule an appointment anyway, and that I would deal with the tech as to whether the repair was qualified under the recall.I was then finally transferred to another CSR to schedule the appointment. I had to once again go through my reasons for seeking to have the repair done, and since this CSR had internet access, I pointed her to http://www.lgelectricrangerecall.com/faq.php (The first CSR did not have access to this site). At q.3 of the faq, LG itself states that if you have not experienced these problems, you may still use your electric range, but you must still schedule a free in-home repair. Prior to reading this direction on their own website, the CSR was adamant that in order for her to schedule a repair, as a prerequisite, the consumer must be experiencing a problem with the burners. However, after reading it, she then consulted with her manager. After several minutes, the CSR came back on the line to schedule the repair. After I inquired as to what the manager said, she advised that as the direction conflicts with LGs policies, they would be removing the page from the website. I find this to be quite alarming, especially in view of the fact that at least 80 dangerous situations of the burner reaching extremely high temperatures, or not turning off, had been reported and are known to LG, and that over 161,000 ranges had been recalled. As they will be taking the page down soon, if you are interested in following up on this as a possible story, it would be prudent to visit it soon.

This is the worst washing machine I have ever purchased. It takes forever to get a load of wash done and there are spots on the clothes when finished. It doesnt use enough water to even cover the clothes. For more water, you have to set it on Extra Load, and then it takes 3 hours to wash! The programs for selection are awful and limited. For this machine to cost so much, I thought it would be top notch. WRONG. My next machine will be a trusted GE. I had a GE washer for over 10 years that washed clothes very well. This LG washer is terrible and I wouldnt recommend wasting your money on it. It looks pretty, but it doesnt wash well. Ultimately very disappointed.

Like the other review, if you set your oven to bake at 350, and watch a professional thermometer inside the oven, you will see the oven climb to around 475 and stay there for a few minutes while the panel says the temp inside oven is only 345. If you then set the oven down to bake at 345 in hopes of still being able to cook something before your house burns down, the oven will inform you that it is actually only 340 degrees in the oven, and continue blazing away until it is satisfied. It will eventually beep to let you know it is ready. At that point, ensuring there is no flammable material within 10 ft, you will need to open the door and leave it open for about a minute to let it cool down. Once the oven has cooled down, you are now ready to cook, and the oven works flawlessly. I agree that the gas knobs are easily turned on when you brush against it, but thats just the way it is and I can live with it. Gas burners work flawlessly and I love cooking on it. Just wish I knew how to turn off the incinerator preheat setting.

My 10 month old french door refrigerators fan starting making a loud noise.
My 10 month old french door refrigerators fan starting making a loud noise. I looked up my problem on the internet and found that my unit has a know frost buildup issue. I called LG since it was still under warranty. They diagnosed the unit over the phone and scheduled a service appointment for me. A new control panel was mailed out to me. The tech was supposed to be at my home between 8 am and noon yesterday. I received a phone call the night before confirming him for between 10 and noon. The tech did not show up until 1:05. He then proceeded to empty out my fridge, remove all of the shelves and the bins. The vent behind the veggie bin was encrusted with ice which he melted and chiseled away. Then the back panel inside was removed which revealed the entire coil frozen and encrusted with ice. It took until after 3 PM for him to melt all of the ice which resulted in my having towels both wet and dry all over the kitchen, a bucket for the excess water, not to mention my food, bins and shelves strewn about. The tech pulled out the fridge and replaced the control panel on the back. Then came the process of putting everything back together and putting all of the food back in. I then had to wash a load of towels and clean the fingerprints and streaks off of the stainless steel fridge. Well the first thing that I noticed was the once firm and solid bin holder now wobbles. But that is not the worse part, the worse part is that today, one day later, the fridge has begun to make the same sound and the ice is already forming around the vent. I was assured the control panel (brain) would fix the problem. Well it seems to me that this is not the case and I know have to go through this again not knowing if the LG tech can figure out what actually is wrong. I called for another appointment and was told that as of now none is available for Monday or Tuesday so I have to call back on Monday to see when the next available appointment will be. Why should a new appliance have these issues? Why shouldnt an LG tech be able to diagnose and fix the problem on the first business? Why shouldnt I be able to get an immediate appointment for a return visit to rectify the problem? Im regretting my decision to go with LG. I should have purchased a Samsung refrigerator. I own an LG Phone, an LG smart TV and this refrigerator. I will never purchase another LG product again. Am I expected to miss another day of work to be available for service, suffer the mess and inconvenience of the repair process and then not know if after the second visit if it will be fixed or not?

Original manual says, Do not wash or spin water proof clothes. Literature Update: Do not wash or spin any item labeled or known to be water-proof or water-resistant, even if the product care label on the item permits machine washing. Failure to follow these instructions could result in bodily injury, severe damage to your laundry, your washer and/or property damage as a result of abnormal vibration of the washer. Examples of water-proof or water-resistant items include certain mattress pads, mattress covers, rain gear, camping gear, skiing apparel, outdoor gear and similar items.I contacted LG and they informed me that it is all legal and there is nothing they are going to do to help me wash my water resistant clothing. Of course, this is after speaking with several reps and getting the runaround, playing stupid, not understanding that water proof and water resistant are different, and outright telling me that this is all in the original manual. I had to email a copy of the page in question for LG rep to tell me that yes, they have changed specs on the washer but they are legally allowed to change it and there is nothing I can do about it. Specs are supposedly listed and changed on LG website and it is all legal to change it after sale of a product. I have read the whole manual and LG rep has pointed me to the exact page they claimed at first this information was to be found.

LG french door refrigerator - Less than two years old. Called LG. Not making ice and defrosting. They send out Best Servicers of America. Repair time slot 12-2 pm. Tech showed at 5:30 after reporting that nobody showed. Tech claims bad compressor. This is obviously a scam they tell everyone, he never checked anything but made that assessment. He orders a new compressor. Three weeks no refrigerator. I can clearly hear and feel the compressor running using a Freon leak detector. I have found the problem. It has a gas leak. I believe this is why so many compressor replacements. A Freon leak is serious and no compressor will fix it and they don’t want to replace the entire refrigerator.

French door in door refrigerator with ice dispenser - I bought this refrigerator from Frys Electronics about a year and half ago and it worked like a champ during the warranty period but while we still joying and dancing being too happy with our purchase and as if there was a timer inside this thing and just right after the warranty was over things began to fall apart one thing after another. I bought this refrigerator for about $2100 and so far it did cost me $1185 for repairs because as it turn out the parts were covered but not the labor. LG customer service stunk the high heaven as they were not able to replace the lemon that I fell for. For the rest of my life, Ill never buy anything made by LG.

I ignored the reviews that said the front load washer leaks. LG will not cover the leaking door in the WARRANTY. It’s a handsome machine, looks great, washes well - but have a rag, sponge, or mop handy because the DOOR LEAKS. MY WASHER IS 6 months old. We have done around 8 loads of wash. We are a couple with no children yet, so we dry clean most of our clothing and have little to wash. The first time it leaked I thought it was a fluke. The second time I ignored it. This machine is pricey and for the money, you should get a PERFECT MACHINE! I am warning people to read reviews then ask a few sales people if the door leaks and they will tell you, YES IT LEAKS. IF THEY SAY IT DOESNT, GET IT IN WRITING! Until LG deals with this problem, they shouldnt be allowed to sell this washer. The puddle gets bigger with each load. I wonder when the floor will be covered with water. We clean the door, the rubber gasket and dont pack clothes into it. Our other front load washer by a different manufacturer does not leak and we have had that pair at our summer house for eight years with no problems. Dont waste $1000 Dollars on a machine that leaks because Home Depot and LG will not help you. LIFE’S GOOD WHEN YOU PAY FOR SOMETHING AND IT WORKS!

I have only had my LG refrigerator for 5 years and now my freezer has gone out and every repair person says it is the compressor as this is a very common thing with these fridges. Is this not a recalled product? Are you not standing by your product and its parts and are ok with this being a standard? Very disappointed in the fact that your company is not standing by its product and replacing these parts that are consistently failing after only a few years and still not fixed! You are still selling subpar refrigerators! This should be reported to the better business bureau and the Attorney general! Shame on LG!!!! Not only do I have to spend money for a new fridge but replace all the food that will now go bad in my freezer! I would rather give ZERO STARS but it will not let me submit!!!

We purchased all LG products and all of them have not lived up to our stand
We purchased all LG products and all of them have not lived up to our standards. The biggest problem is the knobs on the gas stove. The knobs should be ruled as DEFECTIVE and DANGEROUS. In my career I travel quite a bit and even though I have adult kids at home sometimes they do not notice when the gas is on because of the broken knobs. The white plastic on the insides have cracked causing the knobs to just turn but not completely turning the stove off. I have contacted LG and I too have been told to purchase new knobs, however you can purchase the knobs but the problem is still not fixed. I noticed that the new LG stoves have knobs that are very steady. Why not just replace the old knobs with the newer model knobs. I pray that before anything happens like gas explosions, gas leaks etc., they would ruled out that the knobs are defective and update all the former customers with the new knobs. A couple of thousand dollars is better than a couple of million for major lawsuits.

Bought an LG LFXS29766S in January 2015. Three weeks ago the temperature in both the refrigerator and freezer sections started going up. Called LG and was told that the ten year warranty on the linear compressor covered parts only and that if I used a non-certified repair service that they would have problems obtaining parts. Agreed to have LG service the refrigerator and they came out about four days later. Was told that the compressor had failed (big surprise, do you think). Compressor was not available so had to wait a week for part to arrive and have it installed. Two days later temperature started going up again and LG technician came back and fixed it again. Total cost $412. Crossing my fingers it holds up long enough to try to get rid of it.

We have had the worst experience with our front load LG Washer. It does not wash clean, the clothes come out dirty. It does not wash and rinse with enough water, sometimes when a load is in the rinsing stage I look inside, I can see some part of my clothes are still looking dry... I have been doing laundry for 30 years, I had Whirlpool, Samsung washers, I never encountered any problem. With LG it is a headache, I never had to use bleach, now I find myself using bleach when washing my towels. This is not my only problem. The machine displays 53 minutes for a cycle but then the whole process ends up taking like 2 hours. Our machine is under warranty so we called them twice and both times the repairman came and basically said that there is nothing wrong with our machine, it is doing what is supposed to do. I believe that it was not built right, there was be some errors in the way they designed it. It should not even been called LG washing machine, it should be called LG dirtying machine. I purchased my LG #LTCS20220S in Feb. 2015. From the start I had some difficulty with the temp. settings and still do. However, I noticed when I close the refrigerator door that the freezer door pops open. Initially thought this might be causing fluctuations in the freezer because of all the freezer burn Ive been getting on my foods. (The temp. setting is at the lowest setting). It took me a long time to find the correct refrigerator temp setting so food does not spoil. At the lowest freezer setting I am still getting freezer burn on everything that goes in the freezer, including stuff that I repackage in freezer bags or containers (at the advice of LG service rep). What this means is I cannot buy food at the grocery store, like meat, in its original packaging, and just put it in the freezer. In a week, the freezer burns is starting to show up. Ive never had this before with any refrigerator/freezer I have ever owned and Im 64! I have called LG customer service many times. They have sent 2 different service techs out to my house. Everyone tells me nothing can be done, its the design. LG tells me the service techs have to say UNIT IS UNREPAIRABLE before they can file a claim and help me. Its all about the wording used on the service from so beware of that. IF the service tech leaves your house make sure he marks its Unrepairable or nothing will happen! I am going in circles with LG. I am throwing food out like crazy. I am so fed up with this issue that I want to just put this thing out on the curb with a free sign on it! I am still in limbo on this and waiting for a call back which I may never get. Its just not worth it. Nobody at LG is going to be on your side. They make me feel like its my fault! I cant imagine the President of LG repackaging his food before he puts it in his freezer EVERY SINGLE TIME! Like I am doing! Do yourself a favor and support the small appliance store where the customer counts. This is ridiculous and quite a waste of time and money. If I get good service, Ill re-write this review. But as of today, I am not.

Purchased our fridge brand new Model number LFD22786 French doors, freezer below, stainless steel. In 7 weeks the freezer began to warm up, by eight weeks it completely quit and so did the refrigerator. We called LGs service dept and they sent a repairman out after waiting a week. The compressor was shot as well as the control board. He had to order parts. Parts were on back order. They didnt call to tell me this. I had to call the repair company to get a service number to call LG directly. They told me the parts were back ordered and wouldnt be in for another 4 weeks...or longer. They were going to put in a request that the fridge be exchanged. So the request sat in que waiting for someone to look at it. It is still sitting there. I have to wait again/still another three days before I can call them back and check on the status of the order. I am now three and a half weeks without a refrigerator and holding. I will NEVER buy another LG product (did I mention these suckers are EXPENSIVE?) and I will NEVER recommend them. They have proven that as long as they have our money, life is definitely good for them...not so good for the consumers who trusted them to have a good product.

My LG refrigerator looks and works great. It keeps food cold and does not freeze them in the refrigerator part like my old GE did. The ice maker works well too. The water filters are a bit expensive though. Its a year old now.

We bought the refrigerator in Feb 2020. A few months later, the ice maker stopped working. Service guy had to come back 5 times to finally fix it. For some reason, the model we have was built with a special ice maker. Last month, we started hearing a loud humming sound. When you open any door, it will stop then starts after you close the door. We called service and they did a smart diagnosis via phone and said it looks like I have an ice build-up by the fan and I need to defrost the refrigerator for 8 hours. Defrosted it and after a week, we got an FF error code on the ref. We are defrosting again and see what happens. Never had this problem with a refrigerator before. Hope this get fixed right away.

I am completely shocked at the lack of accountability LG is demonstrating in our failed refrigerator compressor. We bought this refrigerator from Home Depot three years ago and the compressor failed in June of this year. When I called LG (who documents that they warranty their compressors for 10 years!), they directed me to their rip-off extended warranty department who charged me $450.00 for an extended warranty. After the service person came out and let them know it was the compressor, they said the parts are unavailable and they canceled my warranty without my permission, refunding my credit card MINUS $100.00 for the service person who diagnosed the problem! The contract of the warranty states they cannot cancel my warranty unless they give me 30 days notice in writing. After all of this happened I did some research online and it appears that our refrigerator is a lemon and LG is taking no responsibility for selling thousands of crappy appliances. We have spent hours on hold and hours talking to customer service people at LG who have no authority to do anything to help us. I am so disillusioned with this company and will stick to GE for any future appliance purchases. Hopefully this review will save someone else the frustration of dealing with LG.

Bought 2 LG French door refrigerators in January 2017. Paid about 3 grand each. April 2019 1 of the fridges stopped cooling. Called LG. Repairman came out and said compressor not working. He returned a week later. Replaced compressor. 4 days later not cooling again. Everything melted, water on wood floors. He said motherboard not working. Waited 1 week with a broken fridge and motherboard replaced. 4 days later found water on ground again. Everything melted. Called again and said will change out compressor again. Need to wait 1 week again. 4 days later broken again which is tonight. This should be illegal. Are they going to do this for next couple of yrs until warranty is expired? In meantime we have to suffer with a broken fridge every week? Anyone with suggestions on how to approach? I wrote complaint to BBB also. Now we have to call LG tomorrow to get repairman out again. This will be 4th visit for same problem.

I had dealt with our old washer for years. It would become unbalanced a lot. Clothes would come out with washing detergent, dirt, food and baby poop still on them. We decided to buy a new set and not have to worry anymore. We paid almost $2000.00 for the pair. Its exactly like the old one except were out $1000.00. The dryer is fine. Love it, but HATE, HATE THE WASHER. Scale of 1-10 it gets a 1.

Hello to all. YET ANOTHER customer affected by this garbage LG is allowed to sell in the USA. I purchased in 2011 so Im out of warranty but the parts are still covered. Well it took 5 weeks to get a part sent. LG authorized tech came in with a $1,000 bill and a little Google search proves they are bad parts. Leaking freon leaking water that generated a sheet of ice under freezer trays amongst a kitchen floor destroyed by 1 product. Terrible quality products.

We purchased an LG front-load washer online. It was delivered on 12/3/13. It quit working after 2 loads, showing a dE error message (supposedly a door/latch problem of some sort). The appliance serviceman sent to our house by LG made 4 unsuccessful attempts to fix it, over a span of about 4 weeks. He tried replacing both the latch (twice) and the door (twice). After this, LG wanted the service company to order still more parts for more repair attempts, but the service company finally called and told us to call LG and tell them you want a new machine. We did, last week. After several days I called LG again. Nothing had happened, since they required an official receipt (proof of purchase), which wasnt mentioned in the previous call. The LG rep then said to allow 4-5 days for a resolution. Today I called back and was told it takes 7 days for the claim investigation to be completed. So its been 5 1/2 weeks since weve had a working washer, and only God knows when well have one again. Instead, were treated to multiple trips to distant laundromats and picturesque, sky-high piles of unwashed clothes. And many fun hours on the phone, sending emails, and awaiting the repairman, who by now seems like a member of the family.

Purchased LG stainless steel fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher 4 years ago. We have had nothing but problems with all but the microwave within months of owning them. LG was very difficult to deal with for warranty and repairs as only 1 company in our province will fix LG! And that company was not very professional or accountable with the repairs. We went months without the use of our appliances as a result and LG never compensated us for these major disruptions in our lives! And not to mention all the time missed off work to meet the repair people and there were many appointments. I have since looked on the internet about other peoples experiences with LG and there are so many similar stories of terrible products and terrible service. Never will I buy another LG product again. I always bought Kenmore before and had no problems.

Just like the many others on this site, I purchased a match set of LG laundry appliances from Home Depot just over four years ago. I also purchased a four-year bumper to bumper warranty and thank goodness I did. Shortly after we had them, the dryer drum had to be replaced because it split. Drum number 3 was installed 3/1/11 because of the same issue. Now, it has split and I need yet another drum (#4). But of course, the bumper to bumper warranty is no longer in place so I am going to see if my home warranty will cover it. I called the company that did the last warranty repair and they quoted me $368 to repair again with guarantee that it wont happen in another few months. They said it happens all the time. I noticed someone on this site said the stainless steel drums should have a five-year warranty but not sure that is correct.

LG Refrigerator Model LFX31925ST - I purchased this refrigerator March 25, 2012. On November 20, 2017 I returned home and the refrigerator/freezer were warm and unit was no longer cooling. I called LG Support which states that they are available 24/7. This is not accurate. After spending approximately 20 minutes on the phone the agent was to book an appointment that would take up to 5 working days. I told her this was unacceptable. She gave me the telephone number to call to see if I could get an earlier appointment on my own. After several attempts to a cellular phone number with a mailbox that was full I began contacting LG Support once again. At 5:10 pm November 21, 2017 I was told by a different customer support agent (Ron) that in fact NO appointment had been booked. So I asked the agent to please book this appointment and voiced my sincere frustration with LG. Throughout the conversation hints were dropped and upon clarifying with this agent in fact the 5 working days is just a timeline for someone (and I stress someone because they would not tell me who) would get back to me to actually book an appointment. I attempted to have other reputable local repair shops do the work (including the distributor where I purchased the LG Appliance here in Edmonton Alberta) to be told by every one of them they cannot do the repairs because LG would not sell them the parts. LG has cornered their repair market and the consumer has no way of expediting repairs to critical necessities. This is an unacceptable practice in my eyes and this is not stated anywhere in the warranty documents. This is misleading and irresponsible practice. As a customer who has spent hard earned money on LGs product and has to wait a minimum of 5 working days just to find out when an appointment will be made is ridiculous. Some complaints indicate upwards of three weeks for service. LG did not seem to care about this logic and came off like our present prime minister and just re-responded that someone will contact me within 5 working days (now 6 because the first agent didnt book an appointment at all).

My 2.5 year old LG refrigerator Model LFX 25978ST/00 stopped working--first ice machine failed, then freezer and then finally entire fridge--lost all my food. Called an appliance repair and they tried replacing a $150 motherboard they tested and determined had failed. That did not fix the problem. Conclusion was the compressor was also failed. LG guarantees its compressor for 10 years, BUT, only deals with certain repair centers, so I was already out $200 and needed to call one of only two LG-affiliated centers in my area. One quoted me 2300 for labor and said the repairs rarely last and I should just buy a new fridge. Another quoted me 300 for labor, but demanded an advance before scheduling the repair and said that ordering the part and scheduling could take up to 2-3 weeks. What is obvious, having read MANY similar accounts, is there needs to be a class action lawsuit against LG. Furthermore, there needs to be much more attention to quality control, parts have to be made to last longer and all of us are going to have to pay more for our appliances and/or those profiting at the upper echelons of these companies are going to have to share the spoils with their workers to fabricate better products. My GE fridge bought in 1980, lasted 30 years. Should have had it repaired and paid the price for higher electricity vs tossing three refrigerators in a landfill that are energy efficient but, doing nothing other than cluttering the earth.

I placed my order a month ago and I have made 4 calls to LG plus 3 calls to XPO and it’s obvious that no one cares whether I receive my order or not. When a customer places an order why is it my responsibility to ensure I get my order? It should be your responsibility to ensure the customer gets their order once you accept payment. Refrigerator and freezer intermittently warm up (not defrosting!). Refrigerator compartment goes to 60 degrees and freezer to 40 degrees (contents thaw and melt). Refrigerator less than three years old! Called LG (plan to be on hold forever!!). Had to pay upfront for service contract as some of my system components are still under warranty (would not schedule my appointment until credit card cleared). $362 upfront for one service call. Cheapest plan available. Authorized service dealer that was sent showed up two hours late to a four hour service window (waited 3/4 of day for technician to show). Technician never got a tool out, didnt measure a temperature, didnt remove a panel, never looked behind refrigerator. Unable to diagnose a problem. Worst service experience I have ever had! Called LG again (did I mention to plan on being on hold forever!). Explained my service experience and asked for a supervisor to help me. Said supervisor would call in next three days; no one called. Called back asked for supervisor to please call me. They promised a call in two days; no one called!!! Called a 4th time and spoke to an LG consumer affairs person. They were no help. Told me to call original service technician. I then cancelled my repair contact less a $100 diagnostic fee. Strongly advise NEVER buy an LG refrigerator. They are unreliable and their technical support is horrible if you have a problem.

This review of LG washers is more a review of LG customer service and a war
This review of LG washers is more a review of LG customer service and a warning to prospective customers. I have owned my LG washer for about three years now. It has True Balance, a feature that consumes water in an attempt to balance the load. The washer is absolutely level. However it rarely completes a load because True Balance is unable to get the load balanced enough to get through the spin cycle. So I have to turn the water off. Balance it by hand. Then maybe it will get through the cycle. Often the items are too soaked to put in the 30-year old Kenmore dryer. So I have to hang them.My water bill has increased 25% since getting the washer. Have complained to LG. Initially they told me to level the washer. Now they just ignore me. Apparently because I (a person who has tested at a mechanical level in the upper 2% of the population) am unable to level a washer. I was however able to rebuild the Kenmore Dryer twice to keep that running. Thats not a recommendation of Kenmore because Kenmore isnt Kenmore anymore.

I waited 40 years to have a nice kitchen, and I was taken in by the good looks -- and yes, I admit, the blue oven -- on the LG. What a mistake! We bought the 5 burner gas range, dishwasher and the microwave with the expanding vent. The dishwasher was a lemon out of the box -- Lowes just picked it up and left a new one. The microwave vent kept popping out, no way to secure it. We had to take the same product as a replacement because the bracket was drilled in the new tile wall. Waited TEN WEEKS for the replacement. I can faintly smell gas from this range; a snarky local repairman insists its my imagination. I entered a second complaint when the oven started to fluctuate wildly - set it at 350, it soars to 475 and then drops to 300. I love to bake and gave up on my holiday baking because this was so bad. The repairmen - from a second place - gave me a little lecture about reading the handbook and not using an independent oven thermometer. I havent cleaned the oven since these issues started -- Im afraid it will start a fire. I wasnt happy that LG never followed up on my complaints, either. I want to replace my refrigerator next -- you can bet it wont be an LG product. I am bitterly disappointed in this stove. I feel like Im stuck with it unless I just toss it to the curb. I could never sell it to anyone. Im calling again tomorrow and telling them I want it replaced, repaired or refunded -- I dont expect any satisfaction at all. I wish I had found this page before I bought LG products.

I bought LG model LMXS28626S on July 2018 because it was nice looking. On Aug. 9, 2021, it no longer cooling. I called customer service and at first she said I should pay. I insisted that it seems it is a compressor problem and the warranty for it is 5 years parts and labor. From where I live there was only 2 repair shop that was listed in the LG website, but only 1 answered. The technician installed a new universal compressor that was so loud. It turned out it was not configured correctly. The technician came back and I think tried but he just messed it up and it died.I searched for help and found a write up about LG and I am not alone. It seems that LG has a reputation on Bad product and customer service. I read that I can call executive services. I was able to talk to a person in executive services. I told her the technician they sent seems to not know how to fix my refrigerator. She said that she will set up an A&E technician. After 1 month on Sept. 8, the technician will come. If you want to have the chance to have this same BAD experience, then go ahead and buy an LG.

How can anyone expect clean clothes without water? I always need to press extra water or deep wash....which really wastes a lot of water as it will then fill up to the very top rim when I only want it to cover the clothes in the tub! I purchased a LG refrigerator from Abt Electronics in 12/15. Less than 8 months, the ice maker was not working. The manufacturer came out, ordered the part and had it delivered to my house the next day. He returned to install it. Then less than 18 months after purchasing the new refrigerator, it started making a strange noise. The next morning, there was water in it.Called LG and was told the warranty was up since it was over a year old to call Abt and use my extended warranty service. Called Abt, they diagnosed the problem as it needing a new condenser! Had to wait on the part. Returned a week later installed the condenser. Later the same day, the panel on the doorways showing an error code and the ice maker or water dispenser wouldnt work nor was it cooling in the refrigerator but the freezer was working. Used my extended service warranty again, had to wait a week to get the part and reschedule another service call. They came out to install the fan.I have now had all three major parts on this less than 1.5 year old LG refrigerator. What else can go wrong now? Thank goodness I had an old 30 year old refrigerator in my garage to use as a backup! Wouldnt ever buy an LG refrigerators again. Hoping this last five years! My earlier refrigerator lasted 22 years with no repairs. I just bought a new one since I had my kitchen remodeled!

My LG refrigerator has a ton of space. I love how they designed the ice maker to be space saving, so that I may fully utilize my door space. Other refrigerators that Ive seen have the ice maker taking up all of the door space. I love that I can change the shelves inside of the refrigerator and the door in a door function is just amazing. The refrigerator drawer is an amazing feature and we use that for everything from wine and pop to lunchmeat and cheese. The freezer drawer is also an easy to use part of this refrigerator, I was amazed at how easy it is to make the most of that space. All in all this is the best refrigerator we have ever owned. Everything is spacious & easily accessible, its a good looking appliance and we get many compliments on it. I was able to get it at an amazing price too, using a coupon during a good sale.

This is the worst appliance purchase I have made. Most loads show as unbalanced to which the washer responds by refilling the tub with water. It is almost impossible to meet the machines balance requirements. The constant refilling makes the machine a little less than high efficiency. The companys position that you need to wash things of similar weight in a load is ridiculous. I would have to wait until every piece of clothing I own needed washing before I could meet that requirement. A typical load takes 2+ hours to complete which includes multiple attempts to rebalance the clothes. I would recommend that you look elsewhere. Bought a LG dishwasher from Pacific store inside of Best Buy store in Tampa, Florida last Nov 28, 2014. Even after reading the reviews, stating that the machine left a stranger smell, didnt clean well... I was not totally convinced. :-( BIG MISTAKE!!! REVIEWS - BELIEVE THEM - Yes, the machine is not good AT ALL. The machine is not used too much, but after few month... the smell that was coming from it was incredible disgusting!!! It looks like something had died inside (let me make clear, I do rinse all dishes before I put them inside of the dish washer). Glasses started getting to be white. Plates I could feel there were something being left on them, they do not dry completely. After few months I got 2 guests in my home and the machine got to be used every day... OMG - then I really could see the damage - I finally decided to call for service after 10 month.CUSTOMER SERVICE - part 2. When I called the LG, they said they could only find me by my phone number, but they did not found me. I called the store I bought it from - Pacific inside Best Buy, they said ONLY by phone number, I gave them, but they would not find me over the phone. So I walked to the store with my phone bill on my hand. THEN THEY FOUND ME.All this took me another month to deal with. Now I am on the 11 month of my warranty, my time is running out (which Best Buy can find you by whatever info you give them)... Best Buy manager step in, apologize and ask the manager of Pacific to make an appointment for service call for me. Yes, they did, but today I was waiting from 8 a.m to 12 pm and nobody show up. I called the company, and they said, they dont service my area. So I said, What? So, after me spending all morning waiting, and not going to work, you dont come? They said they had called LG, and told them they dont service this area, and LG should had given my schedule to another company.I called LG again... LG said I apologize... someone else can go to your home on Wed. I said, I cant not go to work on Wed. They said, Well, Advance Tech Service, did not tell us that they did not service your area. We cannot do anything. So I said, Well, again, its me, the consumer who gets in the middle of Best Buy, Pacific, LG, and Advance Tech Service... No one wants to take responsibility for the mistake, for my pay day that I didnt make. The LG manager hang up on my face. Its rude, cruel and not right. The only thing I want is a machine that work properly and well, and someone responsible the mistake. LG and customer service - VERY BAD - DO not buy from them or from Pacific.Updated on 11/12/2015: OMG - the LG service man came to my home yesterday. After showing him my machine, how dirty my dishes were, stainless steel full of white soap, cups of coffee with all the coffee inside, I told about the terrible smell that would come out between washes, showed my cabinet that had some type of damaged on the side due to moisture... He couldnt find anything wrong with it. He said the only problem was You have to turn your faucet to hot water to a 120 degrees before turning the dish washer on. This is the problem with your machine... He even suggested that I would install a heater under my sink!?! I have lived in this house for 16 years, and I have had only one dishwasher before, which basically broke after enough use, and always worked perfect. What is he talking about?!?! Please help!!! Its under warranty and do not want to fix it.

I am another LG customer who is very disappointed to have rust around the bleach dispenser. I purchased this washing machine 4 years ago. I contacted LG customer services by email & got the following response back: The rust in your washing machine liquid bleach dispenser area is a result of the detergent or other additives being spilled that have not been wiped clean. Chlorine bleach is corrosive & will erode the finish if not cleaned immediately. If any spills should happen make sure to wipe it up immediately & the area cleaned with warm water & a soft cloth. Touch-up paint may be used to cover the area, if not service may be necessary. This is a bleach dispenser for petes sake & I dont spill bleach all over the area, just into the plastic opening where you are supposed to pour it. The rust has formed around & underneath the plastic cover, and I have cleaned the area on various occasions. I am not a happy camper having spent a lot of money purchasing a washer & dryer from LG. I thought I was going to get quality merchandise that would last for many years but unfortunately that is not the case. Very disappointed & wont be replacing any other kitchen appliances from this company.

LG WM3360HWCA - After about 2 years the washer sounds like a Concorde taking off on spin cycle. You cannot be in the same room as the noise is so bad. Called LG and of course theres no one here on the island (live in Hawaii) to come and service it. They gave me the contact number for a company that does repairs. Unfortunately after a week of calling them and no return calls I ended up having Sears come out. He spun the drum in the machine all for $105 and then stated that the repairs would be $1100 as the bearings had gone out. I paid $700 for this washer. How can the repairs cost more? The Sears service rep said that I was over using the machine. I explained that I only fill up to the minimum line on the guide inside. He stated that in Hawaii the water is soft and that we are supposed to use half the recommendation that is on the bottle. I have never heard this before. So now out-of-pocket and have to go and buy a brand-new washer. LG the good life my ass.

After many years of being professionals in the working world, we have hit on the WORST product and service from an appliance manufacturer. Our washer was just over 12 months old when we began to experience relentless problems such as continuous UE signals, subsequential refilling of the washer tub, prolonged run times up to 4 hours, and soaking wet clothes even after the spin cycle was completed. We called LG Customer Service and were told in so many words---too bad but it is your problem. We have been Honda car owners for 30 years and cannot say enough good about their customer service and working WITH us when any problems occurred. As a result, we have told many others to buy Honda and they will NEVER be disappointed. We were just told by a repairman that the control panel is bad and needs to be replaced to the tune of $234.00. This on a washer that is now about 15 months old. Quality control must not be existent at LG. In this case, we WILL tell all those we know NEVER to buy a LG product of any sort.

We have a model lfxs29766s French door fridge. The linear compressor just broke after only fours years. Apparently LG is very aware of this and their solution is to charge you $350 for a new compressor. Tech that came to the house says he replaces 4-5 of these compressors a day. Incorporate that additional cost into your evaluation because I think you can get a better fridge for that additional money....and it will happen to you.

I have logged complaint nearly 2 month back regarding lg 258 litres gl-d292rpjl(pg) frost free double door fridge. In which company has not supplied two major accessories like two steel zig zag rods for holding 1.5 liter cold drinks bottles and one chiller door was missing. We observed that main accessories was missing or stolen from fridge. In 2 months the company response was very poor to resolve that issue. One side that mnc is spending scores of rupees in advertisement and another side they are cheating with customer by supplying defective home appliances.Company representative telling me that fridge is not having that accessories but that can be proved clearly by given image that are missing. Now I will take that issue with consumer forum. I have purchased that on 25 Aug 2014 after seeing all the specification of that model. Now company not taking my issue seriously. They are saying that they have updated that model. Please tell me if that model is modified then how that places are vacant in my fridge which is clear in picture. Dealer is also agree to pay the amount of that attachment/Accessories to company but company now telling that accessories are not available. It is total disappointed if that accessories not available then why they are producing that model. Do the needful as soon as possible otherwise I will defame your lg product in social media and it will cost you badly. If you are serious for your company image then resolve that issue as soon as possible.

Please steer clear of this product. It is a nightmare to do laundry. Continually says its uneven and runs more and more water to try and balance itself. Unless you have hours to devote to one load of laundry, get another brand. I personally cannot understand the people I call at LG help desk; definite language barrier. This washer apparently is ultra sensitive to a sock or some other small item being on the edge and Im constantly rearranging clothes to try and get it to finish. Worst appliance Ive ever owned and Im in my sixties.

Updated on 05/22/2020: Our refrigerator died on May 8th and now 15 DAYS LATER we still do not have a resolution from LG. I just tried calling the latest number they gave us to call puts you on hold for 10 minutes and then hangs up on you. I have wasted 40 minutes so far trying to talk to a person. I am on medication that suppresses my immune system which makes my in an at risk category for COVID. We were trying to limit our trip out during this time but now my husband has to do daily shopping because we have no frig - putting me at more risk. This is all absolutely UNACCEPTABLE to have a company have no regard for an essential item like a refrigerator and the impact that has on your daily life when you dont have one.Original Review: We purchased a new LG Refrigerator in March of 2018 on night Thursday, May 7th the refrigerator completely died. To add insult to injury, my husband has just gotten groceries that day, so the frig and the freezer were fully stocked, and we lost almost everything. We contacted LG first thing Friday morning and had to leave a message with a call back number. They never called us back, so on Saturday morning, we called again, and this time spoke with a person who only told us that it seems that the linear compressor has failed and she would put in a request for a local service provider to contact us.It is now Monday, May 11th, and we still have not been contacted by a service provider. During this time of COVID-19 we are trying very hard to only go to the store once a week for essentials. This is next to impossible now that we are living out of an ice chest and a tiny dorm/beverage refrigerator that we have in our entertainment room. After doing some research online, I discovered that the linear compressor failing after about 2 years is extremely common and that LG has known about the problem since 2014 but continues to manufacture and sell these faulty products. We also talked to a local appliance repair company, and they will NOT service LG refrigerators. They did not feel right about installing the new linear compressors in peoples refrigerators because it is the exact same part (the linear compressor), and it just ends up failing again. They did not want their companies reputation ruined by LGs faulty parts. So here we are, no refrigerator and no service. I am beyond disappointed LG. We spent close to $3000 on this refrigerator, and my husband is currently out of a job, so we do not have any money to have to buy a new refrigerator right now.

They warranty the motor of my LG front load washer for 10 years, and my washer is 3 years and 2 months old; however getting them to come out and to process for the eventual replacement has so far taken 3 weeks. They are moving to replace because it wasnt 4 other things they replaced. They tell me since the part which was on back order for 3 weeks and suddenly arrived without warning, DURING the time period they were reviewing for my replacement which is 3-5 business days, that I have to start all over with another 3-5 business days to review for replacement YET AGAIN. Ive been 4 weeks without a washer. The customer service reps sound like robots reading from a script. They dont even sound human. This part that suddenly arrived without warning during this period when I thought I was receiving news that I could go pick up my new washer? Well, nobody even told me it was coming. The repairman, Ron, didnt even bother to tell me it had arrived at his house yesterday. He had this part and couldnt come out to my centrally located home for another week! Well, he came today and the machine still isnt working. So here I am on hold with robots, waiting for a supervisor to see if I can somehow bypass this mandatory review process which she told me wont be authorized till next Monday. That is 7 more days from today. Their service truly sucks. Nobody seems to care.

We spent almost $5,000 on the top of the line refrigerator. We lost power and it shut off. When power was restored, the lights went on and not getting cold again. We contacted LG and they scheduled an appointment. NOBODY showed for the appointment or reached out to us to cancel and reschedule the service. We have spoken to several people from LG and they have no clue what they are doing. As recently as last Friday, I spoke to Tony from the executives office in Philippines. LG has a compressor issue! Our fridge is less than 11 weeks old and the freezer stopped working causing food to defrost and ice tray to melt with water on our hardwood floors. It has been 2 weeks now with daily phone calls to LGs call center. Call center DO NOT follow up on return calls, they book technicians that can not work of the fridge model and when I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told that they do not take calls??? Their most common line from the call center is Im so sorry. I have heard that comment every day for the past 2 weeks and still no fixes and now they have to talk to their technical group. If you are running a call center make your emplyees can solve an issue and not just note-takers. We purchased all major appliances from Trail Appliances (Edmonton) and they indicated they had no complaints with service from LG so beware as once the sale goes through they are not concerned with a customer.

Purchased May 2016. As others mention here, started failing a few months ago by not making ice. Now not cooling as expected. LG CS asked for a service call $110 to tell me the compressor is bad and that I am out of warranty. They told me the compressor is warranted but I would have to pay ~$500 for installation. After they forced “The Hulk” out of me, they asked me to upload my invoice and they were going to request full warranty coverage. A week and multiple calls later, no resolution. I paid little over $3k for this fridge, expecting at least 10 years out of it. Please avoid this company...

I purchased an LG microwave (model no. LMA1180ST) from Best Buy on April 13th, 2011. In December the microwave started making a noise like a fog horn and smelled of burning wires. When I contacted LG they were anything but helpful. I was told to mail my original receipt to them and purchase a new LG microwave. I was to then send them the new receipt and produce an ISBN number from the box and at that point they would honor their warranty and send me my $89.99. This microwave could have started a fire in my home. LGs policy of making a consumer wait for the warranty to be honored approximately 3 months is unacceptable as well as it is unacceptable that their product did not last a year.

Unit started icing inside and water inside as well, after several (self do it yourself) defrosting, problem continued. Called LG again and they said they could not take care of it, that I needed to make appointment with them to have it fixed. I told them I would take the frig/unit and drop it in front of the store explaining to everyone what was wrong with it and worthless it was. They got connected online and reset it and it worked fine for a while. Now its doing it again. All of their units are worthless even their cell V10 & V20, their dishwasher its also another piece of crap. NEVER AGAIN will I ever buy LG. So far stove/oven and microwave works... but give it time. BTW, units are less than three years old and Im hardly ever home to use them, so it should only be about 6 months worth of use. Thank God I didnt buy the washer and dryer from them.

I purchased a LG electric range Model No. LRE30453ST on 11/25/2011 for $885.90 from Home Depot. Unfortunately I hardly used the oven to realize I was sold a defective range. The electronic control pad does not work for any of the oven options because the start sensor is defective. I called both Home Depot (Store 2901 - 228-867-9925) and LG (1-800-243-0000) customer service departments. I was told by LG they only have a one year warranty on their products and Home Depot told me that they only have a two year warranty period. All I know is that I have basically a new appliance that took me 1 years to pay off and it is now nothing more than a decoration taking up space in my kitchen. Shame on LG Electronics and Home Depot for selling defective appliances. I make just a little over minimum wage and have no way to purchase a new range. This makes me so mad. I have had ranges that lasted over 20 years and now my range just sits there doing nothing!

I bought a new LG WT7900 Washer (their top-of-the-line top-load machine) in May 2020 (3 months ago). The direct-drive motor now makes a very loud grinding noise (even though the motor has a 10-yr warranty). Ive since learned that this is a common issue thats been going on for nearly a year. I called the LG 800# found in the Owners Manual. They scheduled a repair appointment with their third-party repair service (A&E Factory Service, which also goes by the name Sears Appliance Repair... really????). I took the first-available a.m. appointment, thinking thatd increase my chances of them actually showing up.My Service appointment was scheduled for 7am-11am today (Aug 8, 2020). You guessed it... NO ONE showed up, or even bothered to contact me (other than a confirmation text I got yesterday). So I called their 800#, and was on hold an HOUR before getting a live person (guessing lots of people are having similar experiences since their phone lines are so busy??). When I finally get someone, he says he needs to put me on hold while he investigates the issue. But after being on hold another 10 minutes, the line disconnected. So now I have a brand new LG Washing Machine that doesnt work, and LG is taking no responsibility to fix it or replace it.

In 2008 we bought an LG range. On the first cleaning, soot went into the oven door window. The same thing happened with the replacement range. LG then gave us a better range at no additional charge with the understanding that we could make no further claims. We havent, but the third range had the same problem. Additionally, the whole back of the range moves when you try to turn something on. Now theres a crack there caused by the mere force of turning on a burner. My top load washer blew up inside after using the machine for 5 years without an issue. I had registered the product and never received notice that the company had recalled the model I purchased. When I filed my recall claim LG had all my customer information, including my purchase price and old maiden name, but refused to process my recall until I could provide my own receipt. I went through days of searching and calling Home Depot and complained three times to call representatives that its unfair I have to jump through all these hoops when they already know the selling price to reimburse me for. They stated You have to reconfirm the price and prove thats what we owe you.Ive been without a washer for three weeks now and am out a hundred dollars in laundry costs. As well as $300 in lost clothes when the washing machine blew up and caught on fire inside. LG refuses to acknowledge these costs and the time Ive spent toting laundry all over. The nearest laundromat is 20 miles from my house. Simply refunding me my purchase price is a slap in the face after all Ive been through because of this machine literally blowing up and catching fire inside. A few months after getting the range, the knobs started breaking. Like a good homeowner, I started repairing them, with epoxy, then tape reinforcement with epoxy and finally... after a while, I just couldnt repair them anymore. The design and materials are just plain wrong! Im a mechanical engineer and I can clearly see the design and choice of materials is faulty. I called LG and after an hour of conversation, they sent me out a complimentary set of replacement knobs, free of charge/ONE TIME DEAL. Well, those broke within 3 months. I called them back, and after being on hold for 45 minutes, the supervisor said, There is no point in continuing this conversation. We will not do anything about the breaking knobs and hung up. When I purchased my LG Washer I was so excited! I researched washers and chose this particular company because I read reviews that discussed the quality & quantity capabilities of this particular brand. I spent more than I had planned on this purchase because I wanted a quality washer. I loved this washer, it was the one thing in the house that I told my family I truly enjoyed using. I recommended it to my friends who were looking to purchase a new washer... It was the best appliance I had EVER owned...THEN IT HAPPENED! The intake valve on the washer messed up and needed repair. That was okay, everything has to have maintenance. So I called MULTIPLE appliance repair shops (11 to be exact), and was told time after time, Maam we dont work on LG appliances, it is impossible to get parts for them. So I called Lowes (where I had purchased the appliance), they no longer take care of parts but instead give you the number of the place to order parts for the products they sale. My husband called the number, ordered the part (which he paid for so it could be shipped to our door)... He was told the part would arrive in 7-10 days. We watch a video on how to install the part and wait for it to arrive... That was in OCTOBER!!! Todays date is December 27!!!After two weeks we called and was told it was on back order but should arrive in another two weeks. Second call was told it was still on back order may be two more weeks. Today when we called we were told the part can be found NOWHERE IN THE USA. He said they were trying to get one from Korea, and would try to let us know something in the next 24 hours about how many more weeks it would be... Listen, I am generally a calm patient person, I grew up in a house with 14 people, I understand waiting your turn. However, I also own a company and I know that your product is only as good as your customer service & support! It doesnt matter how great the product is... If you cannot repair it when it is broken... IT IS JUNK!I will NEVER buy a LG Product again... NEVER! I am trying to save someone else from the same heartache of walking past a brilliant, expensive product on your way out the door to the laundry mat. If you are part of the LG team please learn from this review... You have a great product, but unless you improve your customer service, and parts availability... You will not last long. I will most likely have to purchase another washer, and move forward from this mess. IT WILL NOT BE AN LG APPLIANCE.

I’ve been wondering why my clothes have little holes in them, get pilly and faded so quickly, and even get tied in a knot sometimes when I do a load of laundry. I finally realized it’s the new washing machine (WT7600HWA). I am so disappointed. The spin cycle is so high that it’s causing little holes In my clothes. I believe it’s also causing the clothes to get all entangled and tied up in a knot which is difficult to untangle and make them a very wrinkled. I am very unhappy with this washing machine and very disappointed. I would not recommend it to anyone. I also don’t like the cycles are so long, why should I take an hour and a half to do a load of laundry? That uses more electricity and water that way as well.

We bought our refrigerator 11/26/2017 and it has already quit cooling. We noticed the freezer items were not frozen and had to throw all the food away. We had a repair guy come out who stated the sealant system is leaking and our quote was 2600$ to repair, which is double the cost of the refrigerator new. I called LG back and it was determined that the parts would be covered but not the labor which was $250 and hour for up to 8 hours. Our refrigerator is not even 2 years old! I will never buy any LG product again.

We purchased an LG front load washer at Home Depot. Only after it was installed could we, and did we, learn that it vibrates incredibly loud on a firm modern floor regardless of the load and balance, and due to its very high spin speed. Home Depot and LG refuse to exchange it for a top loader. A Home Depot representative admitted that they intentionally do not mention that problem to potential purchasers. LG does not even respond to our many forms of contact. They both claim that the machine is working as designed, which can only mean that the design is defective. In our opinion, no one should purchase an LG front loader washer. We have had to resort to ridiculous and only partially successful steps to dampen the vibration and noise, such as cramming pool noodles around the washer (see attached photo).

Many years ago I purchased an LG washer and dryer. I was so happy with their quality that when I was ready to purchase new appliances for my kitchen I didnt consider any other brand. I saved my money for over a year and was proud to purchase matching fridge, stove, and dishwasher in black stainless steel almost 2 years ago. My new appliances were wonderful until a month ago when the finish started flaking off and before you say it is my fault, no I do not use abrasive cleaners on the finish. The stove started first, where the handle meets the door and now the fridge is doing the same. I am now embarrassed to have these in my kitchen. I emailed my complaint to LG and the response was very complacent, they really didnt seem to care. I will never buy LG anything, ever.

Let me start by saying that their linear compressor is garbage and warrantied for 10 years after purchase date! I purchased my refrigerator in April of 2012. July 26, 2017 refrigerator stopping cooling. The compressor has died after 4 years and their approved service technicians have yet to get a compressor to run in my refrigerator. 1st company has come out 4 times to install the said compressor. I paid $350 to get it serviced to no avail. Not once has the compressor been operational after 20 minutes. It shuts done as the technician drive away. 1st company said it is junk and is all done. The 2nd company that came out that LG sent. Said the compressor needs to be replaced, he cant do it because he said, he wasnt certified. So we waited an extra week so a certified tech was to come out (today Sept 6, 2017, the date they stated) we called and they are not coming, stating that the refrigerator was junk. LGs response was that they provided the part and that’s it. I guess it doesnt need to be operational. Ive been without a refrigerator for over 6 weeks, thinking and waiting for that customer support that does not exist with LG. LG people were more than rude and unhelpful with every call. Buyer beware LG doesnt back their warranty. LG gave us a case number and made us think they would have help in some way but today’s response was priceless. They are done because they provided the part. Make the part operational. They should back their products and not get away with taking advantage of consumers. They (LG) should be acceptable!! $3000 plus $350 repair, down the drain!!
