I purchased LG washer and dryer, the best in STEAM technology and thought I did a good deal. While we dont know yet if the washer and dryer perform well or not, we were shocked the first time we used the washer today to hear a lot of banging. We discovered the water tap was not open. Then when the washing was ready, it was wrinkled so we suspected the rinsing was done with warm water!! And that was true; the techs from SEARS installed the hoses wrongly. I give the SEARS install team 2 stars, thats it.Then, I called LG Customer support to complain about SEARS and they basically dont care. During the call, I discovered that the one who answered, with very lousy English, was a total ignorant and didnt know anything about a thing. It took many minutes of waiting time to get answer on what are the benefits of registering a product on the LG website, compared to not registering it..

I bought a new LG refrigerator Model LFXS29766S from Home Depot for $2700. After only 14 months the compressor failed. The repairman said this compressor was back ordered and it will be several weeks to get a new one installed. Apparently LG has a major reliability problem with this compressor design. Thank goodness for my 25 year old Sears in the garage. It has been running well since day one with absolutely zero maintenance or repair. I will not buy anything from LG in the future.

We paid top dollar (over $3000) for an LG Linear refrigerator in June, 2015. In March, 2018, it began making strange clicking noises so we got online and followed some tutorials about how to fix it. Nothing worked. We had a repairman come and he had to replace the control board and fan, at a cost to us of about $600. Now here we are in October, 2019 and it’s doing the exact same thing. We are looking at having to replace both exact same things, only this time it will cost $690. We could have bought a new refrigerator for what we’ve spent on repairs in the past four years. I will never buy another LG product. Maybe the company will see this and offer some compensation, but I doubt it. It’s infuriating!

I have always enjoyed LG electronics and products and have never heard negative feedback. All lg products that I have owned have all lasted as long as they were guaranteed to last while keeping their word on the productivity of these products and much much more. I loved the double doors, large compartments, the removable bins and freezer shelves. The ice compartment size was amazing and never ran out of ice and had to wait on more to be made. I also enjoyed the filtration system as it did not need to be changed as often as a lot of other refrigerators I have seen. I would improve some of the ways the shelves were built into the inside to where they are all adjustable, making it easier to store larger items and more items altogether.

We have an LG washer and dryer. The main problem is with the front loader washer. We find that our clothes always smells of mold. I have tried different cleaners, pellet fresheners, bleach washing only but the smell of mold is still there. Some people tell me the reason for this, is that we live in Florida. What can I do to correct this problem. Is there a recall on these units. Thank You.

I have an LG top loader WT5270CW. Not having other review problems like leaking or vibration BUT washed clothes, have a heavy white residue visible on black or dark clothes. Not sure about lighter clothes. Residue is probably there too but not as noticeable. Recommendations say wash dark clothes in cold water but I have tried everything. Warm, adding additional rinse, Woolite for darks detergent. Very frustrating.

Our refrigerator failed because the compressor starter. I reached LG customer service after I searched for the part and find out that the part is no longer available. After 3 calls and checking with the companies that supply LG parts and service (recommended by LG customer Service), I called again and I told the lady that the part was not available and the people from those companies recommended me to call back LG and ask for a substitute part. The lady told me LG does not have a substitute part and that I need to buy a new refrigerator. Guess what, I got a new refrigerator. NO LG, NEVER AGAIN!

Like others have mentioned, the lint filter on the dryer lifts up on the corner where the clothes land as they tumble. This causes clothes to catch on the corner of the filter and get destroyed. This also allows more lint to get through past the filter, causing lint to buildup inside the dryer and in the ducts leading outside your home. Weve lost countless articles of clothing. We have replaced the lint filter, but it still sticks out and catches clothes.

I liked the refrigerator. A lot of people recommended it to me to use because they use the same good brand. It reliable and something you can depend on. It keeps a sense of clean. Kept my food frozen. All my food and drinking items was fresh. Every time I put some in the refrigerator it was wasnt harmed. I love my ice maker and all the good features on it. I could recommend the refrigerator to anybody to try out and use. I bought it at a reasonable price and value. The refrigerator has met my expectations. Kids lunches and all are fresh and well kept for the next day. All of my food is safe and ready to cook each time. The refrigerator has been good and I love it. I would recommend it to family and friends or anybody looking for a good brand.

Professional company, ice maker, friends and family recommend LG refrigerator, heard reviews on it that it was good. Did meet my expectations on what I wanted the fridge to do which is store and keep my food cold. Enjoy storing food in it and keeps food cold. Looks nice. Ice maker, water machine and the bright inside of the fridge, the exterior is a nice material. That is all I like about the LG fridge. But improve space inside fridge. Dont like double doors. Too many shelves. Not enough room. Side by side doors.

We purchased an LG Gas Range in November of 2012. Starting in May of 2015, the oven racks started becoming a struggle to slide them in and out of the oven. We noticed that the blue enamel was gone on the tracks where the oven racks slide in and out. We have contacted LG and they keep giving us the run around. We even sent pictures where it was evident that the enamel was gone and you could clearly see the metal. They responded with the following email, Sir: This is with regard to the request of range racks for model#LRG3095st. The unit was purchased 11/15/2012 which is over a year and not qualified for us to send you the racks for free. This racks can be ordered with our Parts Distributor, MCM ELECTRONICS phone# 800-824-9491. Also, regarding the pictures that you sent to us which have stains on the blue enamel, these were caused by liquids, sauces, grease, and other foods spilled or splattered inside the oven which is cosmetic issue, therefore not covered. So, all they ever wanted to do was have us order our own racks and state that these were stained by grease, liquids, etc. Obviously, he did not look at the picture and it appears he is stating that these things will eat the enamel off of the inside of the stove to where the metal is exposed... LG has a problem and is not wanting to take care of any problem pertaining to their product. Their customer service representative told me that it was out of warranty and that it is not covered. So basically, the enamel in the LG oven that costs around $1,000 is only meant to last 2 to 3 years. DONT BUY ANY LG PRODUCTS OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

My husband bought me a pair of LG appliances for Christmas of 2014. In March of 2015, we had an issue with the fridge. It took 2 weeks to resolve. In April of 2015, same issue....freezer frosting up, then stopped cooling. It was a compressor problem..shocking. June of 2019 freezer stopped working, next day fridge part quit. 2 days to get a tech (who was wonderful). Tried to say it is a sulfur problem in the water (our water is filtered), then the compressor and now its also the motherboard...all at one time. Trying to get a unit replacement because obviously, the refrigerator is a lemon. I uploaded all the receipts and supporting documents and now I have to wait until JULY 8th!!!! to get this fixed. I am under warranty for at least 6 more years. At this point Id like to be refunded for this obviously defective appliance.

Unbalanced Flaw UE - LG Front Loader Extra Capacity - Paid way too much to get extra capacity - would love to have my basic front loader back! Extra capacity is worthless if you cant get the load to spin & finish because of the UE code. Ive had to throw away pillows I washed. No problem in my last machine, because this way overpriced LG wouldnt spin it - not alone, not with other items, not after being wrung out, hung to drip dry, not on low spin - NOTHING. The True Balancer is a joke - it is directly causing the problem. What good is an EXTRA CAPACITY washing machine, if you cant wash more than a normal load in it anyway? The time Ive wasted standing in front of this machine, hoping *this time* it would spin, rebalancing items by hand - makes me sick to think how much we paid for this piece of junk. Good luck with customer service - they said there is no recall even though there is post after post of the same UE complaint, and they *might* call me back once the customer service person logs my complaint. Never asked me for any contact info so Im not sure how that will happen...

I bought an electric double oven, convection on bottom, glass top. Model is LDE 4415,4413 or 4411. Anyway, I like to cook. This oven is horrible. It takes 30 minutes to boil water!! I have never had such a horrible oven to cook on. Burners are impossible to heat up, when they eventually heat up its impossible to turn them down. You cant control the temperature. Another thing I think is really odd is the oven light. My model has an 2 ovens with the convection oven on the bottom. It seems odd to me that when the oven light is on it is on in both ovens, not a big deal, just seems light a cheap design. Do not buy this product, unless you dont like to cook.

We have been owners of LG appliances for over a decade. We bought them all
We have been owners of LG appliances for over a decade. We bought them all washer, dryer fridge and dishwasher. We have had problems with several them for which we have received no appropriate support. First it was the washer or all the writing came off the front within 3 months. I was told there was nothing they could do. They couldnt send me new letters to reapply. Oh well too bad. We moved on. Then there was a dishwasher conveniently right after the one-year warranty we had a problem and had to pay $250 for service call for which the gentleman was here for a mere few minutes to fix the problem that most likely could have been fixed over the phone with direction, not costing us $250.Then just 14 months after this we end up getting a pinhole in the drain hose of our dishwasher which floods our sons basement bedroom. Causing numerous panels of our ceiling to be damaged and need replacement not to mention the wood floor below it that is lifting. All these are problems associated with a faulty dishwasher. When we call to report this problem we were told we had to buy a new hose mechanism and that would solve all of our problems. So sorry about the other damage to your home, not our responsibility. So we paid the almost $100 for a new hose, waited a week for it to be sent to us and we had it replaced. Then we come to find out; Oh so sorry your dishwasher must be reset by a specialist. Yep you got it. Another $250 will be necessary to get your dishwasher Ive only a few years back up and running. If the first rep had told us that then the hose would have been covered in the service call.So we are expected to spend $600 on a dishwasher that cost us 800 within a few years. Not acceptable. We ask to speak to a manager. After holding for almost a half an hour we get told a manager will call us back. We are third in line. That was last week. It is now Tuesday and we are still waiting for a return call. I will never again never purchased any LG products whatsoever. I will also share my opinion for these products openly and freely as I am doing with you. I have worked in a manufacturing environment for many decades. What I can tell you is no manufacturer is 100% perfect. But, what shows a great manufacturer is what they do after a problem is brought to their attention. It is apparent LG doesnt care after you spend your hard-earned money on a product of theirs. They will ignore you, push you away and not care whether you buy another Appliance or not because they are of the false impression that we will forget about this and spend our hard-earned money on another one of their faulty products. That will not be the case at least with us. So I warned you check in to the manufacturer and how they deal with customer service complaints before you spend your hard-earned money on anything of any manufacturer but especially LG.

I bought this 2 years ago and had problems from the first load. The bottom slide out rack CONSTANTLY goes off track and can take 5-6 times to get it back on. Not an easy task when you are bent over and it is full. Dishes are always spotty, have tried every cycle and lots of different detergents and rinses. Everything is spotty and has a slippery feel to it. I end up using the rinse cycle only after doing a load and then they dont dry. More times than not I just hand wash the dishes. QUICKER, MUCH MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT AND DONE RIGHT. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP.

We purchased a new LG front load washer from Home Depot and during the warranty period, the door became very stiff to where you had to hold it open to load clothes. Called service repair and they fixed it. Warranty did not cover anything because it had nothing to do with the operation such as drum, bearings or mechanical issues. We started to have problems with our brand new LG refrigerator 2 weeks after getting it home. First, it was the ice maker. We were still under warranty, and called to have it fixed. The rep said someone will be out the next day. The next day, the repair person said, I dont know why they would have told you that. I wont be able to come till next week. He came out, and said he fixed the problem and went on his way. Two months later, it was the same problem, repair scheduling and all. This repair man (when he finally came out) said, Oh, your ice maker has been broken since you bought it (wonder why the first guy didnt figure that out). He replaced it and went on his way. The outcome is we have ice but it perpetually gets jammed in the shoot and we always have to manually pull the ice out every time we want ice. Now, three years later, we are no longer under warranty, and are having major issues. The freezer is not working. It wont defrost and ice was building up. I called LG. The rep said $95 over the phone just to tell me what the problem is (I know what the problem is, I want to know how to fix it. I read the book and the error message on the control panel on the door says defrost problems). They will not give me any information without paying for it first. We decided not to deal with them anymore and called our local appliance repairman (nice guy). Yes, our 3-year old refrigerator needed to be taken apart and defrosted. The control panel had gone out and inadvertently kept it from defrosting. The control panel is $300 plus the cost of the house call. According to the repair man, 99% of repair calls on LG refrigerators are the control panel. When will the United States stop allowing poor quality appliance in this country?

My experience was pleasant and effortless. It had an ice-making machine in the door and kept my food cold correctly. My food was never too warm. It worked and kept my food cold, its pretty simple. I would include more space, especially for bigger freezer storage. If it had room for bigger items that would be an improvement as well. It was included with the house we lived at. On 10/12/2015 we purchased a 46 LG 30 CF 4 DR Refrigerator from Sears. It was delivered and set up around the 21st of the same month. Once set up we noticed scratches in both doors and a couple weeks later were replaced. Because we were having things completed in kitchen, it was unplugged and not used till the beginning of January 2016 at which point everything was fine with this $3000.00 plus refrigerator. On September 1st we got home from work and opened the refrigerator and noticed that everything in there was hot. So being a holiday weekend, we waited till Monday to call Sears where it was purchased to have a repair person come to fix it. A week later the man came and said it was the compressor and he would have to order the parts. Sounds good until we are told it would be close to three weeks to get the parts. OK so we wait the night before the repair man is to come we call and ask him if he received the compressor as we had not. He calls the parts place and they are having trouble finding the parts and it will be another 3 to 4 weeks to get the part in if they even come in. At this point we have been without a working refrigerator for 3 weeks and have been told it could be another month. So we were so mad that we called LG directly and explained what had happened and was told by a customer service rep if we got our receipt showing when we purchased it they would replace it. Ok on the phone for hours getting everything they need the next day we scan everything to them and are told it is our problem and they will not help us. That was a 1 year and 10 month old item. We explained that it was not used until 4 months after we purchased it. However they did not care. LG has the rudest people that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. We also went back to Sears and was told they could not help us either as they have to wait on the parts and they are not sure when they will get them. Ok so you go out and purchase an appliance and it is not to last over 1 year? This is crazy. All the reviews that I have read also say that it is the compressor that is the problem so at this point no one can help any of us with this problem. This does not seem too fair. Also, the stores that are selling the LG products knowing that there are all of these complaints and service calls for the same thing. How can companies still sell these items that only work for a year or two and then tell you you’re on your own. LG is not standing by their products and this is very sad that they are allow to get away with this. If this was a car dealer there would be recalls and the problem would be fixed for free, why is LG allow to get away with this and do this to honest working people. We are asking for help from LG and would appreciate hearing from someone who cares about Customer Service not selling poor products and then telling us they can’t help.

Over time, the heat from the dryer has warped the plastic lint trap so that it doesn’t fit. The lint trap sticks up just enough for clothes to get caught. Because the dryer doesn’t shut off when this happens, it rips the clothes. I bought a linen bag for items with straps but the lint trap grabs anything- sweaters, button down shirts, shorts. I have never experienced a more frustrating customer experience. Our problem started last summer when our $4,000 LG French Door refrigerator failed, and would not maintain temperature. Our refrigerator was a little more than four years old, and I called LG to arrange a warranty repair. I was told that I would be charged $129 for the service call by one agent, and two other agents told me that there was no charge. However, it was going to be SIX WEEKS before they could get a technician out. We had no other options, so we scheduled the repair. Based on troubleshooting, it was the well-known compressor issue.I dont remember all the details, but I somehow figured out that the call six weeks later was a DIAGNOSTIC call, and that the tech would have to look at our unit, order parts, and that those parts were on backorder, so it might be another month before we could get them scheduled for the repair. I fought like hell, but got them to preorder the parts and have them shipped to the tech before he came. Even then, there was some problem with getting the parts, and LG had to overnight them. The linear compressor was indeed the problem, and it was replaced.Within a month or so, the refrigerator started making a loud KNOCK or POP noise that sounds like a gunshot about every 20-30 minutes. Its loud enough that it wakes me up at night because our bedroom is next to the kitchen. I dreaded dealing with LG, but eventually called and told them this was unacceptable. I finally got hold of someone who would send the tech out again. On April 13th of 2020, the same tech who had installed the compressor came to check out the unit. He heard the noise and told me that according to LGs product manual, this is a normal noise. I can assure you it is NOT. Our refrigerator was quiet for the first four years we had it, then all of a sudden started making this horrible noise AFTER the compressor is replaced? He asked if I had the manual, and said I should read it... that LG claims that refrigerators can make noises. Not a GUNSHOT noise!I got a followup call from LG a week or so later from an actual person to see if the service call addressed my issue. I told them it did not, and that I was upset and angry and frustrated. The woman told me that she would have a member of LG management contact me about our issue. That call never happened, and I never heard from LG.I finally called LG again about a week ago, at the end of June 2020. I worked my way up the chain to someone in Executive Customer Relations, who was very nice. She arranged for a second opinion and a tech to come to our house. There was no mention of any cost, because it should be within the 90-day followup period to the last service call that did not address the problem. I got a text message that said Star Tech Appliance Services has accepted my service request, then I got a message on July 5th (yesterday) that said A technician will arrive on 07/07/20 between All Day to service your product. But this evening at 5:15 pm, the day before the appointment, I get a call from the technician asking for a $160 payment, but telling me that the repair may cost between $350 and $400!I tried using the chat function, but I have now been on hold with LG customer service phone support for 55 minutes and have yet to talk with an agent. I rescheduled the appointment to Friday, July 10th while I sort this out with LG, but I am exhausted by this problem. I have spent hours and hours and hours on the phone with LG, and Im tired of it.Stay away from LG refrigerators unless you like dealing with customer service that has its hands tied when it comes to actually fixing your refrigerator. The agents are truly nice, but LG has some major customer service issues. I read on an LG class action lawsuit page that refrigerators usually last on average about 13 years. LG refrigerators are failing around 3 years. I guess we got lucky that ours lasted 4. Thats not too bad, right? $1000 a year? It was a beautiful unit. We bought a very beautiful refrigerator. Too bad it hasnt performed. I just got off the phone with LG after an hour wait on hold. Ends up that executive customer service was closed for the day, and I have to call back tomorrow. Yay.

Home Depot sent a repair man (I bought 5 year extended warranty). He said the compressor went bad and LG had to repair... Since then. LG repair person has the first call replaced the compressor... Still didnt work. The second visit fixed a leak and installed a new PCB board. That was on 2-17-17. Guess what 3 days later still not fixed... This is the worst product I ever purchased and at almost $3000 dollars. It will be the last LG I will ever buy.

Model LMWS27626S, Production Date was Feb 2021. Bought on March 21, 2021 from Home Depot and was delivered almost a week later. 3 Days ago, noticed water began to accumulate down in the freezer section... Simply put, the fridge stopped working. Just today the technician dispatched by LG showed up and after performing his diagnostics, he told me that both the Main Board and The Compressor are bad and theyll need to be replaced. Imagine a 3 Month Old Appliance from the date of production going bad and to think weve only had this in our home for 4 weeks. This experience just gives me no confidence in the LG Brand at all, yes they are nice on the surface but trash in the inside. Now well be out of a fridge for the next week until the parts arrive. At this point I dont even want to keep this appliance in my home because I know it will break again. Luckily I bought an extended warranty but even so, no amount of warranty will bring the confidence back towards this brand.

Fire hazard, the knobs are plastic and strip easily, causing them to turn on by themselves if someone walks by the stove and bumps into it. I have had my house fill with gas 3 times in the past 3 years and I have had the knobs replaced 3 times. One day my entire family is going to die in this house because of this stove if they do not create a better knob as this problem shall continue. No integrity to the knobs, they look and feel like good quality, but are neither functional nor safe. I am disappointed to find that inside the knob hole is plastic (not good quality). After just over a year (warranty expired, of course), two of the knobs cracked inside the holes and will no longer turn the burners on correctly. Within the first year of owning a new LG gas range, the 5-burner control knobs were breaking where the knob slides onto the shaft of the gas control mechanism. I tried repairing it myself and it worked for a while, but now they are so bad they need replacing. Why can it not be made of metal? This simple solution would solve the problem. While searching various parts replacement sites, the knobs are over $70.00 each to replace, 5 x 70 = $350.00 for knobs? Is this customer service and support after the sale? Money pit stove waiting to kill my family.

In life, you have large purchases that are life events: new home, car, and appliances. From day one back in 2008, from when we purchased our LG fridge (LFX2590TT), we have had nothing but problems.Water leaked and cracked the line on the back of the fridge (caused damage to wood floors). The deli drawer slide cracked and broke off. Water leak was repeated; the service repairman fixed the line and then the line cracked above the repair. The ice-maker freezes up and we had to turn it off to thaw. Water leaked again; the service repairman fixed the line and then the line cracked above the repair (third time). The replacement slide was broken (again). We do not over-load this drawer. Its all plastic crap and has a very poor design. The water line leaks inside the fridge. We gave up and turned off the water dispenser/ice-maker. Then the top of the vegetable/fruit drawers cracked.LG made it on my speed dial. After too numerous to count service calls and being long out of warranty, we have given up. When you buy a $2,400 refrigerator, you think it would work (completely) longer than 2 months. I will never purchase any LG products and I advise others to do the same. They make garbage and when it comes down to it, they just dont stand behind their products. In reading all of these reviews, you would think there would have been a recall, but theres none. Dont buy LG.

It’s tempting to say buying this product was the worst mistake I’ve ever made, but that, of course, would be an exaggeration. However, this washer is terrible!!! Just like the rest of you, uneven load is the norm, LG basically doesn’t give a crap, and we paid pretty good money for this hunk. Our water bill - hahaha - efficient??? Absolutely the opposite because it takes like 6 runs to get through a load. My husband has tried to throw the washer through the window, straining his back and causing medical problems. Plus we have to go to marriage counseling now because this piece of “machinery” has caused so much stress. Dirty clothes are mounting regularly, our clothes are never fully clean... I wouldn’t be surprised if I get fired from my job for not smelling good! All joking aside, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I wish we had an old school washer.

The first problem was the unit would no defrost properly so they put in a new computer board and then ask ME to take a hair dryer and defrost the unit (Only took 5 hours), then the next 4 calls concern the ice maker,,, I have had two new ice makers installed and neither work. When I finally got to talk to Theresa (a corporate supervisor) at 10AM I was told that I do not qualify for a new refrigerator and that I needed to call back tomorrow to schedule an appointment for repairs. (REALLY) I need to call back. I could not believe her. I have no had ice for three weeks and have now turned it over to Home Depot to resolve. Second appointment tech was a idiot and did not fix. Third appointment was canceled on me because one of three parts didn’t not arrive. I requested a different tech but on 4th appointment he shows up at my door. And he only used 1 of the 3 parts that was ordered. I am super frustrated and the dumb tech even laugh that he could’ve fixed it the first time he came. This is 24 hrs later... the refrigerator is still not cold!!!! He didn’t even fix it. Since purchasing this refrigerator just a few years ago and thinking it would be great only a few months afterwards came the first compressor failure. Having to call customer service somewhere Across the Universe and get in touch with anyone who is willing to come out and fix it was a chore. Apparently most repair places do not want to work with LG because of these issues and their difficulty in compliance. And when they came out and checked it then the compressor took weeks to get there. Each time. This happened at least three more times and I think four because one time they claimed it was something else but three times it has been a compressor failure. So much so that the technician who came recently to the house actually had a compressor on his truck because he said nine times out of 10 the refrigerator has a compressor failure again and again so they are carrying them on their trucks. We have gone weeks and weeks without a refrigerator. I have never in my life had a refrigerator with such poor service. In fact never had to deal with anything with any of my refrigerators until this expensive supposedly excellent refrigerator. I promise I will never again purchase another one of these and I am insisting my husband get in touch with the manufacturers to replace this refrigerator as it has now failed on all counts and MEETS CRITERIA FOR THE LEMON LAW and it is a TOTAL LEMON.***It is impossible to deal with something that is going to ruin your food over and over again and leave you without any recourse until someone gets there again to fix it and you never know when its going to happen. The slim style holds a lot of food like to get water from the door. This makes me thing to drink more water every time I pass by. The last several refrigerators ended with a wet mess on the food or frozen drinks. This fridge has done none of that. I like the organization of the food. Presently, the fridge is sitting in my garage due to me refusing to spend any more money to repair this junk. The last time an authorized LG technician inspected the fridge and gave me a list of parts amounting to $386.55 plus $100 service charge only to see if a compressor is needed or not. The only thing I could do is unplug and start over every load. Finally started doing some research online and found my model had two known problems. The balancing rods are not strong enough and circuit board problems. Paid over $700 for the washer. Wow! Before I bought the LG Model WT5101HW in Aug. 2010, I could not find bad reviews on this washing machine. I wish Id investigated further. It is just as noted in other reviews; not enough water in most cycles, not energy efficient (1:09 hr. cycle will take up to 1:55 hr.), water levels will sometimes leave clothes dry and still dirty. Machine has been recalled and fixed by service representative (which took three trips), constantly going UE and adding water, etc. There is no way to shorten a cycle except rinse and spin or spin only. I found the only thing that works reasonably well for cleaning is the Bulky/Bedding cycle. This seems to load the water based on level rather than the weight method. But it always fills it full, so I make sure the loads warrant the extra water used. I am considering biting the bullet on a different washing machine when the extended warranty expires in about ten months. I will NEVER purchase another LG product. Worst customer service Ive ever experienced.

Many factors weighed in choosing which one to get purchased it because it was cheap and a good size. It can fit a lot for a small refrigerator, we have a tiny kitchen and that one fit. It keeps the food in the fridge nice and cold. I hate room temperature water and if I put water in, then its cold almost immediately. It is a nice texture and overall a good fridge. Sometimes it can get too cold though. Things almost get frozen, which can be nice but also nasty and leave residue. It also broke so we had to buy a new one.

I did not know about this site when we purchased our LG products, freestanding double oven electric range, french door refrigerator and washer and dryer. Had the microwave but took it back right away as it was so dark inside and the light very dim. Bought a KitchenAid microwave and previously dishwasher. I have a problem with the self-clean feature of the oven. I have broiled steaks on the quick broil feature. Guess what when you use this feature, the fat will splatter inside the oven. After cooking the steaks I cleaned the oven but the floor of the oven in front of the door did not clean. It looked really baked on and you could not wipe it clean at all. I have the blue enamel oven. I did not touch this area - afraid I would void the warranty so called the executive warranty dept. Spoke with Wendy and she said they should be able to schedule an appt for Friday. Waited for the call but none came so we assumed they would show up on Friday.NO SHOW NO CALL. Called back and Wendy said her computer was down but we did get a response to schedule for the following Friday. Repair guy said it should not have done that either. Called Tech department and they told my husband to put wet paper towels over the area and use the easy clean feature. It did remove the baked on mess so they told us they would not warranty it. I was so madddd!!! I called and spoke with Brenda ** and she told me I didnt need to get an attitude with her. I explained that I am allowed to cook in the oven and that food will splatter (she said splatters are not covered by warranty). The oven has a self-clean feature and of course LG expects food to be splattered why else would you have a self-clean feature? I expect it to work and not to have to clean it first before I use the self-clean feature. The feature cleaned the oven beautifully except the foot and half area in front of the door.I told the rep that I felt it was a seal problem and it wasnt getting hot enough in that particular area to clean the food. She was going to check with her tech and emailed me that it was not covered under warranty. I emailed her back that was unacceptable. I wanted the general managers number and I was going to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney Generals Office. I will not give up. I know they want me to cause our warranty is about up also and if they stall me then they wont have to deal with it. Now I just need to figure out how to contact him but am filing a complaint with both agencies. I did not know about this site before buying our products.

We moved into our home in December 2015. Our home is just 6 years old. After a month, our LG French door refrigerator started acting up. The refrigerator was starting to freeze all the food. I called our local repair people and he identified the part to be the duct assembly. He ordered the part and he was told that the LG part was discontinued, and they sent a part that was to replace the original part. After 2 weeks of frustration, the part didnt fit. I then decided to contact LG directly. Their repairman came out and said it was the sensor and tried to fix it. After less than a week, the problem remained. LG repairman came back out and figured that it was the duct assembly and ordered it. I advised him it was no longer available and he advised me he had to go through the channels and well see what happens. In the beginning while talking to their customer service, I was assured something would be done and that there were a lot of options including replacing the refrigerator if they couldnt fix it. They even said they would replace the cost of the food that was lost, and asked me to call back with the amount of money I lost and they would send me a check. I am now told there is nothing they can do because I am not the original owner and transferring names is not allowed. I offered to meet them halfway with the cost of replacing a new one and they refused. I cant believe that they would discontinue a part when the refrigerator is only 6 years old. I recommend that no one waste your money on LG products. Im buying Kenmore because Sears stands behind their products. LG customer service doesnt stand behind anything.

LG fridge bought in Aug. 2017. Worked good for almost 2 years, and then the madness started in July 2019. As of today the compressor has been changed, then a 2nd trip to fix a leak supposedly, 2 weeks after that the ice maker quits working. Technician is now saying it is the flanges on the freezer doors not sealing properly. Technician orders parts and I get a call today from the parts department saying that parts are on backorder and they have no clue how long it may be. I will never buy an LG appliance again. $2000.00 just does not buy you what it used to. If LG would just own up and say they are selling a defective product and make it right, it might not be so bad. But all they keep doing is kicking the can down the road. I am officially, over it. If something is not done soon, I am to the point of trying to see if I can do anything legally. Bought an LG refrigerator in November, 2015. (We replaced a GE refrigerator that was 9 years old which worked fine, except that the fan was noisy.) In September, 2018, the LG refrigerator quit working. We discovered water on the floor and found that the ice had melted. All the food was spoiled. Upon contacting LG, we were initially provided a list of companies to contact to get the refrigerator repaired, and all companies were located in Georgia (we are located in Wisconsin). I then contacted a couple local service companies, and both told me that it was the compressor and would cost $1500 to replace (LG does not cover cost of repair after one year) and would take approximately 10 days to get the part and then install. We had no backup refrigerator and neither the vendor we purchased it from nor LG offered a loaner during the lengthy wait. Therefore we had no choice but to buy a new refrigerator. After 3 months of dealing with LG customer service, we were sent a check for $175 to cover spoiled food. I will never purchase another LG product. They take no responsibility for defective products - and from the reviews I’ve now read, there are many defective products bearing the LG brand name.

Sent photos of my cuts and my glasses and the huge mess this caused. LG called and said Id have to get a technician to come. Id have to pay for it but may qualify for reimbursement of tech fee. Unbelievable. Im still in shock and now scared to death to ever clean it again. This is very dangerous!

Check the owner manual to see if there something we can but nothing, call LG customer service and was told that they need 48 hour for the repair to be approved, call this morning and was told that they have available 08/25/2020. This is unacceptable due to the fact that is almost brand new, we lost most of the food and by the way our dishwasher is not working either. Call two months ago and we was told that we need to pay for the repair, when I was told the the motor has ten years warranty and the error code that is giving is the motor.

They sell the LG product where my wife works and we purchased a refrigerator from there. But when it was delivered, it was damaged by the people that delivered it. I was trying to get it repaired and it was a complete nightmare dealing with LG. They w were absolutely horrible and pathetic. I’ve been dealing with an issue since March and it just got completed last week. That’s how long I’ve been dealing with this. Also, those people don’t even know what the part numbers are for their own product. They tell you they’re gonna call you back, but they never do. If I don’t initiate a phone call, I never hear from them. Then they tell you they’re gonna follow up, but they never follow up. Aside from that, I paid for a part to come to me and when it came, it was the wrong part. They’re liars over there and they tell you what you wanna hear. But once you hang up with them, they’re done with you. The only good thing about LG was the service tech that they sent out here last Thursday and everything’s working fine since he’s been out. Still, I’m never buying another LG product and Id never recommend it.

I bought a french door model# LFC25776ST less than 4 years ago. Last November the compressor broke, after much runaround and redundant customer service, it was fixed under warranty (I paid labor of course as well as service calls from multiple technicians). LG gave me several names of repair techs they claimed were in my area, none of them were. I ended up finding one that can work on LG brand and convinced LG they were the only one in my area. 6 months later, the freezer and fridge are sitting around 40 degrees. The repair tech replaced the motherboard and fan before concluding the compressor failed again. I called LG and after they insisted on troubleshooting over the phone, they were convinced my fridge was not level, even though I told them a professional had diagnosed it already. I verified with 3 different levels that my fridge was sitting perfectly square. I guess Im just going to have to buy a new compressor every year until the 10 year sealed system warranty is up. I really wish I could talk to someone who actually knows what theyre talking about and cares about the customer. They outsource their call center to India where these people are just reading off a screen. GARBAGE. DONT BUY LG.

I have called customer service 3 times about this machine, model # WM2240CW. They gave me two numbers to call. It will take a week to have someone come out to look at it. Meanwhile, I will spend my day off of work cleaning up all the water. The worst part is I have called twice before.

We purchased this LG TOP OF THE LINE 700.00 DISHWASHER IN 2015. I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS SINCE. When we purchased it. It was for a brand new home. We had to have a plumber come in and replace some of the pipes and lines to be able to accommodate this dishwasher. The dishwasher never gets the dishes clean EVER! Im constantly having to clean the dishwasher so the dishes get clean. I almost have to clean the dishes before they are stacked. The top sprayer arm keeps falling off during its normal cycle. The baskets never stay connected to each other. Not sure why... We decided to buy a really expensive nice dishwasher and it has been terrible. Then we had to remove the bottom piece in the dishwasher that siphons any debris out before it goes into the drain. The recommended tablets for the dishwasher get stuck in the cup and ends up having to be cleaned out of the cup and I have to re run the whole cycle again. And to top it off now the motor is dead and has to be replaced. Oh the wheels on the bottom of the rack keep falling off. Technician will be here next week when they can fit us in 100.00 just for the service call. I will never buy an LG ever again.

When I purchased a new home, the LG dryer and washer came with it. I have had numerous problems with the dryer and after each repair, the dryer will work for a while. Slowly, the dryer begins not getting hot enough. I end up having to bring my clothes to a laundromat. I have spent at least $500.00 trying to repair this dryer. The service technicians have come back several times to repair it but each time they fix, something different and then it doesnt work after a few months.I have come to the conclusion that I need to buy a new dryer. This company needs to be held responsible for a defective dryer. Too many people have hand similar problems. Does anyone know if anything is being done?

This review of LG washers is more a review of LG customer service and a war
This review of LG washers is more a review of LG customer service and a warning to prospective customers. I have owned my LG washer for about three years now. It has True Balance, a feature that consumes water in an attempt to balance the load. The washer is absolutely level. However it rarely completes a load because True Balance is unable to get the load balanced enough to get through the spin cycle. So I have to turn the water off. Balance it by hand. Then maybe it will get through the cycle. Often the items are too soaked to put in the 30-year old Kenmore dryer. So I have to hang them.My water bill has increased 25% since getting the washer. Have complained to LG. Initially they told me to level the washer. Now they just ignore me. Apparently because I (a person who has tested at a mechanical level in the upper 2% of the population) am unable to level a washer. I was however able to rebuild the Kenmore Dryer twice to keep that running. Thats not a recommendation of Kenmore because Kenmore isnt Kenmore anymore.

I have had this refrigerator a little over a year and the ice maker has gone haywire twice. This is the chunkiest, clunkingest, noisiest refrigerator I have ever seen. I have to pull the thing out from the wall and turn the water off to change the water filter. Loved the size and look of this double door bottom freezer, made a little noise from time to time after 6 months in the freezer section, no big deal, very occasional... One morning 18 months after purchase while trying to make lunches and manage the usual morning routines of all work of families with kids, found all food soft or going soft in freezer!! Food in fridge was cool but not usual cold. Temp readings still said 0 for freezer and 37 for fridge... I called dealer who sold it to us, of course, Not his problem. Called LG who initially insisted I had a smart diagnosis feature which I did not, another 20 min wasted, finally a repairman comes over. Spends 10 min and tells us it will be almost $400 to fix for a new fan and compressor???? What??? I just bought this thing!! LG, you must be kidding me... not buying into your company anymore. We bought this stove 4 years ago and installed it in a new home build. The first cheap plastic knob broke within the first year. We are now down to ONE working knob. I have attempted to repair and strengthen the original knobs multiple times (something LG should have done in the first place). My question is how can a company manufacture such a great product and then put absolute garbage on the most used part of the stove. My real problem is the ridiculous price for the replacement. Is there a realistic option for this? I do not mind spending the money for QUALITY items, but to overpay for the same, substandard item is not feasible. The real sadness is that I will never buy another LG product again because of a $2 knob for a stove that is now costing $30+ and even sadder is the fact LG put such a piece of garbage on their appliances in the first place.

We purchased a microhood at Menards on 04/16/2016. It was to replace a GE microwave which had been over the stove for a number of years. This LG microhood worked for 3 weeks and when I put vegetables in to reheat one day it just didnt heat. I talked to Menards and they said it was up to me to contact LG warranty issues. Trying to understand foreigners is extremely aggravating. Why doesnt anyone keep the jobs in the USA anymore? He had me unplug the microhood to reset it and when that didnt work, tried to find someone to repair it. He was unsuccessful finding a business to work on this product. So now I am stuck waiting for repair scheduling to contact me in a number of days. I need this microwave now! As far as I am concerned this company no longer exists. I am looking at having to purchase a new washer and kitchen range within the next little while and it will not be an LG. My husband works at a car manufacturer where hundreds of people work and we are going to make sure other employees are forewarned about this company. We certainly never expected to get less than a months use from an LG product.

Plastic hinge broke shortly after purchasing. We still have not replaced it. The price for LG is high because of its reputation I believe. Good consumer reports. Hard to find part to fix. Make hinges more durable. Reputation was the reason we purchased this refrigerator. Yes LG has lived up to its reputation. It also was a brand we could buy at our local big box store.

We bought an LG washer and dryer set in November of 2010. The washing machine has had a foul odor since about a year or so after we bought it. We leave the door open, dry the gaskets, etc. It doesnt work, it still stinks! There is always water in the soap/softener dispensers and at the way back of them when I pull them out weekly to clean, they are moldy, yes, moldy dark black, slimy mold. For about a year we had been wondering why our clothes had these weird stains appearing and we pinpointed it to our washer about 6-7 months ago. Randomly, a load of clothes will come out with either gray grease-looking spots on them or brownish spots (looks like someone threw a Pepsi in the machine). The stains will not come out of the clothes no matter what we try. I dont even know where to begin with the amount of money that has been wasted on ruined clothes in this machine. We have done the affresh washing machine cleaner, just running the tub clean cycle that is on the machine itself and just tried running the machine through regular cycles with and without any soap. Nothing works! I have gone round and round with LG customer support and also a corporate supervisor today which all they say is try this, try that, we can get you in touch with a technician in your area at my expense of course! I just cant believe that the washing machine cost over $1000.00 when we purchased it and this is the thanks we get when we try to have LG help us. They dont care what we think or have to say and I brought up the point that I am one of millions of people with these problems (as they have had lawsuits over this) and I just want to come to a fair agreement for both myself and them and they just dont even care. Honestly, I felt like all they cared about was getting me off of the phone. They couldnt even so much as offer me a discount on a new washer or to pay a portion of the service on the machine to get it cleaned because they keep saying it just needs to be cleaned between the drums and that would be something a serviceman would have to complete, you wouldnt be able to do it on your own, etc. Dont make the same mistake that we did, never buy an LG FRONT LOAD WASHER! Go online, google their reviews and the lawsuits that theyve been a part of. Plus, the customer service reviews are terrible (which I have realized myself in the past two weeks when I have contacted them)! Go with a company built on service and value, not LG who has neither of these qualities!!

I bought a French Door refrigerator in June of 2016. It completely stopped cooling in August of 2018. Called LG who sent me through some basic troubleshooting and gave me phone numbers to technicians that arent helpful. One sound sketchy (answers the phone Hello) and insisted I make an appointment thru a non-existent website or send an email to his Gmail. One said they wont service my town. One has yet to call me back. I called a reputable but non-LG-authorized repair service who said it would cost $1,200 for a new compressor and I would have to deal with LG myself (I think to buy the compressor). Given the reviews about back ordered parts, and lack of authorized techs, Im left to wonder how long I wait for the other technician to call me back, argue in vain with LG or just buy a new refrigerator. Very open to joining a class action lawsuit. I certainly dont make enough money to replace expensive items every two years. Reading up on refrigerators, old fashioned top freezer refrigerators are a whole lot cheaper and fail less often.

Our washing machine did not work from the moment of moving into our new hom
Our washing machine did not work from the moment of moving into our new home. It was still under warranty. It is a LG washing machine. Model: WT1801HVA. I called LG in August of 2020 to have it repaired. Because we had no idea what was wrong with it and if it was covered under warranty, we decided to go with the flat rate program through LG. That means for one flat rate, no matter what is wrong with it, you won’t be charged anymore than that fee to fix it. This fee can be reimbursed if the machine cannot be fixed. I was charged $219.45 on Sept 2, 2020. We were given 3 companies to chose from to come out and fix it. The first company we called said they don’t come to Okotoks. The second company stated it was a two person job and refused to even look at it. The third company was Summer Breeze Appliance. They came out one time, could not fix it but ordered the parts. The second time they came out, they could not get the panel in correctly and came back another day. They put the new panel in and the washing machine worked once before not working again. We called Summer Breeze and the technician to advise them their work did not work. To this day, we have not heard back... I believe they are out of business. SO we decided to get paid out a pro rate fee for our washing machine through LG so we didn’t have to go through the hassle. We finally got our cheque for that a couple of months ago ($769.87). Here comes the headache. I requested to have the one time flat rate fee reimbursed sometime in December of 2020. I have called LG every two weeks since the beginning of January to get this money back. I have been told since January that the customer service representatives have contacted their finance department multiple times with no response. I provided LG with the exact date of the transaction and they asked me to check my credit card statements. I told them I had not received anything. The most recent dealings with LG have been the worse. On 2021/03/03, I spoke to an executive team member, Mohammed (**). After a very lengthy conversation he stated he will look into it (the same thing every other representative stated) and will get back to me. Not one customer service representative ever got back to me. So I asked him to call me back by a certain date with any information. He said he could not provide a date to call me back. I pleaded and said give me a date to call back please as I am so busy when I am working. He stated maybe by Monday. I said, ‘maybe? Can you please promise Monday and not maybe?’. He stated ‘hopefully I won’t pass away by then. Hopefully I will still be alive to speak to you on Monday’. Monday 2021/03/08, at noon, I still hadn’t heard from Mohammed and thought maybe he did in fact pass away (cruel humour I know). I called LG and asked to speak to him. The customer service representative said that he was unavailable and that he will call me when he is free. Hours go by with no call. It is now 1 hour before they close. I call and ask to speak to another executive team member. He states he can’t help me because Mohammed has the information. I ask to speak to upper management. He hangs up on me. I call back and speak to Ernesto who tells me I have to email to speak to upper management. Email has been sent. He also says that Mohammed is right next to him. I ask him to ask Mohammed for an update. He said he couldn’t do that. Ernesto states the refund has been ‘approved’. He stated Covid has disrupted everything. I ask for him to put my call on hold to speak to Mohammed about ‘details only he can provide’. He refuses as well and hangs up on me. I am hoping to get some resolution to this matter. I have spent upwards of 14 hours on the phone with LG and feel like I am not getting anywhere. We are still without our washing machine and this has been a huge disruption in our life.

I purchased our LG smart washer dryer combo from Home Depot 14 months ago. For the first year it worked like a charm. Once it was paid off, the nightmare began. I have called the horrible customer service in the Philippines only to hear a repeated script. I have had my home warranty company come out twice. The only way for me to wash our clothes is to confuse our washer into thinking that the load is large. I put in 2 buckets of water on top of towels. I have ruined so many of my clothes in the twisted rope like fashion that I could cry. It takes me 1.5 hours to wash 2 pairs of jeans and a few shirts. The dryer is also Lousy Garbage. It over dries and shrinks our clothes, those that make it out alive from the washer never dry at all and are very wrinkled. And then there is the smell... The technicians say this is how they are suppose to work. There is no energy saving in taking all day to do a household of threes laundry. There is nothing smart about these machines... Be smart stay away...

Have had a technician visit us three times and he made sure the machine is level, has a new board with updated firmware and still we have problems. Even more telling is the fact that a tub clean cycle (water only) cannot finish without the machine stopping to display UE. Ive given up. I purchased an LG LRE30451 In 2006. No problems until recently. The stove would not turn off. You had to either be able to 1. Pull the electrical cord from the wall or 2. Turn off the circuit breaker to get it to turn off. At that time I was not aware of the recall on the stove. The next day, you would get burners that would not come on or you could not control the temperature. I found that there is a factory recall for these ranges for this very problem and that they are a fire hazard. I contacted LG and they told me that it would be 3 to 5 business days for them to get back to me. (Meanwhile you can not to use the stove because of the fire hazard). On the 5th day afternoon, still no contact so I called them. I was told that there were no notes in my file and that they would get someone on it immediately. After numerous calls back and forth I was told they made me an appointment for repair. This was 2 weeks out. They did not even check to see if I was available or not and could not give me time. I asked for the number for the repair facility they made the appointment with and after several calls back to LG they gave me a good number. This repair facility A & E Factory Service stated that they only do service in my area on Thursday and Friday. Someone had to be home from 8 am to 5 pm. Do they not realize people have to work? When I told them no one would be home, they suggested I contact LG to get someone else. Thus yet another call to LG. I was told they could do nothing else that this was the only repair facility in my area. I told them this was unacceptable and I wanted to speak to a supervisor.Well they put a guy named Cortell on the phone. This was as useless as the last bunch I spoke with. He proceeds to tell me that basically it was not his problem I was not available and that they could start the whole process over looking for a different repair facility. Now, I was already told, This was the only repair facility in my area. When I advised him of what I was told prior he stated that I was told incorrect information. I asked how long it would take and he said just to locate a facility was another 3 to 5 days. You’re kidding right. Remember, cannot use the stove due to the fire hazard... When I asked him if LG was going to pay for my husband and I to eat out he stated no. When I told him I would continue to use the stove and if my house burns down it will be LGs problem. He then told me if I continued to use the stove knowing it is defective, it would be on me not them. Needless to say, they expect me to go approximately 1 month without cooking! When I told him they could just replace the stove he stated, We are not going to do that, your model is from 2006. Now just like other people stated you normally have a stove that lasts 20 years before it goes bad. LG products do not last and when you do have an issue their customer service is horrible and they do not care! I am still waiting for the second round to start.

Have had washing machine for only 3 years and have rust completely around the bleach dispenser. Contacted LG and they said it was due to spilling solvents on the machine. Its a bleach dispenser! Gave me no satisfaction, basically said it was my fault. Have never had a machine rust before.

I purchased an LG refrigerator from ABC Warehouse on 5/24/15. On 6/3/16 my refrigerator stopped keeping things cold and the blower fan stopped working. We purchased an extended warranty for this item and was referred to an appliance repair company that ABC dealt with. On 6/7/16 the company finally came out and they determined what parts they needed to order. It is 6/19/16 and my refrigerator is still not repaired. Its ridiculous that I spent over $3000 on this refrigerator just to have it stop operating one week after the manufactures warranty. To matters worst I purchased an LG washer and dryer 10/15/15 only to have the washer and dryer both need repair work done. I am currently waiting on parts for the washer and since the repair man was out the dryer is now making a noise and is need of service. I will never purchase an LG appliance again. When you spend thousand of dollars on an appliance you expect it to last longer than 6 months.

My husband came home tonight to the alarming smell of gas as I was in our family room with a mild headache, I wasn’t sure what had triggered it. He immediately started opening up all the windows. To my horror, the gas knob on our LG gas range (model LSG4513ST.BSTELGA) was in on position with no blue flame visible. Had he not been home to smell the gas leak, I could have easily DIED! Yes DIED!!! It is not the first time this gas range has been in the”on” mode unintentionally. It’s been two hours now that the windows have been open in this hot AZ summer, as we continue to air out the house. Unacceptable LG!!!! I now come to realize after reading the numerous disturbing reviews, this is an ongoing defect in their product. I’m not taking any chances with my family’s safety. We will be shopping for a new safer range ASAP. Please do not buy this range new or used. Like others have said, this needs to be discontinued before someone is in danger of losing their lives. Not an exaggeration.

I bought an LG dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, clothes washer and dryer for my new home eight years ago. As of today I had to replace the refrigerator, the microwave and I am now on my third dishwasher and now my washing machine died. Service is horrible!!! Response to issues horrible, product reliability is non-existent. I wish there was a way to bring LG to the table to respond to bad product issue. I recommend no one buy their products!

I like that the features are easy to use. The refrigerator helps a lot. It does more than my last one did and is more stable. My whole family loves it and I dont know why I would do if I had the old one still til this day. All features are great and it was within my budget and we really needed it. The last one is just so old and is about to finally break on us but this one isnt and we will have it for at least 6 years. The LG brand is the best refrigerator. I also like Samsung but LG is more popular and has the better reviews and the most likes so I see why people recommend it and Im glad I got it for the family. It was the best decision I ever made for a the best price I could ever get it oils really awesome in my house.

I bought an LG dishwasher LDF7774ST. This dishwasher is not cleaning my dishes. I followed instructions from Troubleshooting manual but still did not clean my dishes. I placed a glass that I only used to drink water with; but it did not clean. It came out dirty. Called LG Headquarters - they sent several Local Appliance Repair Co. but to no avail (8 service calls). At this point, LG representative told me and my husband that they have nothing they could do. I urge consumers to not purchase LG dishwashers because they dont work. They look good but life is not good with this dishwasher.

My refrigerator stopped working on July 5th. I contacted LG the next day and the soonest they could have one of their certified repair vendors out was July 8th. At that time they determined it was the compressor which was still covered by warranty. They ordered the part and we were given the runaround. One day the part is being shipped, the next days its on back-order. After 2 weeks and too many phone calls to count we are told that that part is discontinued and they would have to research to see what to do. WHY DO YOU DISCONTINUE A PART ON A REFRIGERATOR THAT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY???2 weeks ago they said the part was being shipped and should be in on July 30th. Today is August 8th and we are told today the part should be in by the end of the week - August 12th. As of now I have been without a refrigerator for 5 WEEKS!!! We looked into the part ourselves and found out that we could order the part online and get it installed tomorrow but LG refuses to reimburse us for the part which is the warranty item. We asked them why they couldnt order from this company and they said they dont do that. They offered no pro-rated refund on my fridge as they initially discussed so Im stuck with either sitting another week without a refrigerator in the middle of the summer or I have to buy the part myself and pay for the WHOLE THING or go out and buy an entirely new refrigerator. How would they feel if their family didnt have a refrigerator for over 5 weeks. Thank God I have a wonderful neighbor who is letting me use her garage refrigerator. I am also out several hundred $$ in food that I have had to throw out because there was nowhere for me to store it and keep it cold for this extended period of time. NEVER EVER BUY AN LG APPLIANCE!!!
