Dryer worked very well until it just stopped. Used about 2x a week for 3 years. Called LG and used their repairman for $150 to diagnose the problem. He took off the top of the dryer and the motherboard and wires were fried. Said he had seen it before and that replacement of motherboard would be $850. LG unresponsive. Junked this beautiful, new-looking dryer and bought a Samsung. Read my negative review of an LG steam DW. NEVER under any circumstances, no matter what you think about your being an exception. Never buy LG.

All of my husbands blue work shirts have discoloration spots on them. My niece had several of her clothes ruined. I thought that bleach was staying in the machine some place, but no bleach was used and the clothes still have whitish discolored spots. Two of my bathroom rugs changed colors -- one from light blue to grey and one from green to a pea green.

After just over two years, both refrigerator & freezer stopped cooling. Our utility company provides Appliance Protection service, however, after waiting a month, the technician informed me that it is the compressor. When we purchased dry ice to save our frozen foods, I told the merchant about my problem. He told me at least a dozen people with LG or Samsung refrigerators had the same problem. The problem seems to be a common issue.

Purchasing the matching LG washer and dryer was my first LG appliance purchase - and it will be my last. I have usually purchased appliances by Kenmore or Maytag and would have the appliances for years before they had to be serviced. However, that has not been the case with the LG 7.4 cu. ft. Gas Dryer with Steam in White, Model # DLGX3571W. I purchased the dryer on June 27, 2015 and it was delivered July 2, 2015. About a couple of weeks ago, I noticed that the clothes were not drying after a full cycle. The first time, I increased the drying time and made it more dry, still the clothes did not dry. Finally, after the third cycle the clothes were dry. Since that time, it has taken several drying cycles to dry one load of clothes. I cant imagine how this will affect my gas bill. Because the dryer is only about 6 months, I requested a new dryer. I figure that if I started repairing a dryer that is only 6 months old, Ill be repairing it forever. But I was told by a very condescending executive manager, Cortel, that I would not get a new machine because that is not how it works. I tried to rationalize with him and told him that I was willing to have a service tech check the machine, but if there was a problem I didnt want it fixed, I wanted it replaced with a new machine. That was like talking to a wall. So my next step is to file a complaint with the President of the company. I would caution consumers against purchasing Model #DLGX3571W in particular and in dealing with LG in general because of their unwillingness to be fair to their customers.

LG will not stand behind their product. I purchased this $1,595.81 refrigerator with an extended warranty 5 years ago. In all fairness the warranty expired 4 months ago but I found out from the repair man that this was a bad model that is no longer made by LG. There is a leak in the Sealed System which is built into the chassis. LG designed a poor product. I asked for some type (any type) of a credit toward a new refrigerator. Ive never had a refrigerator (with repairs) that lasted less than 20 years. A product that last 5 years is unacceptable. Especially if was due to poor design on LGs part. I currently also have an LG Microwave, Dishwasher. Bottom line is due to poor service they have lost a customer for life.

We bought a LG gas conventional oven (model or serial # LG LRG3095ST) from Frys on March 13 2015. We did not open the box until today march 27 2015 and found that the door of the oven got one hinge loose... that mean the door is only connected to stove by one hinge and the other side is hanging when open. And there is a big dent on the stove... We rushed back to Frys in the city of industry to exchange it or return it... but we were told they wont accept our return or exchange. The return department at frys gave us the number 1800 243 0000 to contact LG to settle the problem... so we called LG and the LG operator told us that there is nothing they can do. I felt like it is not fair to us. We paid for a brand new oven and got a defective one and no one seemed to be willing take a responsibility for that. We are stuck with a defective stove. The service was very bad. We were actually told by the manager step out of my store, the exit is that way! twice. We would like them to exchange the oven or refund my money.. Thank you very much for your kind help.

7/17/2017 purchased a Sears Elite Stainless Steel side-by-side Grab and Go refrigerator model 51863. The product had the Sears brand but found it was made by LG for Sears. 8/8/2019 freezer and refrigerator sides were warm and melting. A Sears and a none Sears serviceman (2) came and diagnosed the problem to be the linear compressor which was made by LG had gone out. This was a new beautiful looking refrigerator just over over 2 years old. Paid $1751 for it and it would cost $1000.00 to repair. Wrote Sears Vice President of Customer Experience. Received a phone call from their Executive Complaint Department and spoke with a Debra (or Deborah) who after lengthy conversations told me that since I did not have an extended warranty, there was nothing they could do.I was livid. Researched and found hundreds of customers who has had this problem and also found there is a class action law suit pending awaiting to see if the courts would approve it. After the poor treatment from Sears, and after having read that some replaced compressors went out again, I opted to buy a none LG brand refrigerator. Spent total of $3000.00 here.3/9/2017 purchased an LG 65 smart TV from Sams Club. Model: 65UH615A for $1000.00. I have 4 other TVs, none of which are LG brands. The oldest TV is over 12 years old and I watch it the most and have had no problems with it or any of the others. 4/25/2020 the LG model went out. Yes, the TV that I have had just over 3 years! I get a black screen. Researched online and it appears the motherboard is shot. Have a call in to a repair person. WHAT is UP with these LG products? How disappointing is this. I really thought that LG was a good brand but my experience dictates otherwise. 2018 purchased an LG Stylo 4 from Sprint and am now having problem with this phone when I log it up. This phone is just over 2 years old. I am so very disappointed in the LG BRAND and will make no more purchases by LG. I also will not refer this product due to my bad experiences.

I purchased a top of the line LG stainless washer and dryer a few years ago and both appliances are poor quality. I would not recommend LG to anyone. It has been a frustrating experience, as they are malfunctioning more than they are working! Last year, I waited for months just to get the right parts and then they break down again. My washer is continuously leaking in various places. Service technicians have told me I would be better off with a Kenmore! Very disheartening after spending so much money because you feel you are buying quality. This is surely not the case!

I hate my LG washing machine... it smells and there is water that accumulates in the rubber gasket and black mold! I think the problem is the horizontal drum... The water does not drain properly. I never heard of buying a product to clean your wash machine... That pretty much saying there are issues! The dryer also sucks! It shuts off before clothes are dry... So if youre not home to restart.. They smell! The dryer also seems to take a long time to dry. Who would think that products would decline in quality... With all this technology we have today!!! I want my old fashion washer and dryer back!!!!

We purchased the LG gas range through Costco in October of 2017. Purchase through Costco extends the one year warranty to 2 years and using the Costco CitiCard for the purchase extends the warranty for two more years. We began having problems with the range in 2018. When we would turn the oven on we thought there was a smell of propane - this gradually became worse and worse. We noticed it a great deal when attempting to use the Easy Clean function - the burner would not light and the oven would not function during that process. Then we began to notice a problem every time we turned the oven on. We had the propane company come out and check the tank and flow regulator and everything checked out okay. We contacted LG and after some back and forth and delays the sent a local repair company out in November of 2018. The repair person checked the oven and felt there was a problem with the oven getting the proper amount of air to light. LG support told the repairman they would send an oven valve. That repair was not done until the middle of January 2019. I was told initially by LG to absolutely not use the oven until it was repaired. That meant we went through Thanksgiving and Christmas without being able to use the oven. In between all of this, the owner of the propane company came out and checked the gas flow to the oven since LG was saying they felt the problem could be the propane flow. The propane company did a water column test on the propane from the pipe to the stove and it was perfect. We began using the oven again and gradually problems began once again until one morning when my husband turned the oven on and the house filled with gas. We rushed around opening all of the windows and turning on fans even though it was a cold morning. This time I not only contacted LG but also contacted Costco concierge. Once again the repair person came out and inspected. He said when the oven is on there is a really bad metallic burning smell and it wasnt lighting properly. He once again had to wait for LG to send repair parts which he replaced as instructed. After completing the repairs the oven was still not lighting properly and was shooting gas. He made several attempts to get it working. The only way the gas would light was if he put his head into the oven and blew into the convection opening. Yikes! This oven is so not safe! I was very concerned that he might be injured by doing such a thing. Now we are once again in a holding pattern waiting for LG and Costco Concierge to come up with a satisfactory solution. I am fed up with the situation. Not only are we having these problems but this is not a very good range overall. When baking or cooking anything in the oven it is necessary to keep turning the food every few minutes or the back side of the food will be overly browned or burned. The other problem with the oven is there is no shield on the top of the door and if one isnt careful while the oven is open it is very easy to be burned on the leg by the hot metal edge. I havent had a problem with the knobs on the top being bumped and turned on but when I am cleaning the stove top I usually remove those knobs so that I can clean that surface too. The burner parts are pretty junky metal but fortunately, they are removable and with some work, it is possible to get them looking okay. I am noticing some rusted areas on the burner caps which seem to be crummy cast iron but I just scrub it off. On the whole, the range is a lot of work to keep up. We wont even go into the Easy Clean (its a dud) and the regular oven cleaning function is not so great either. Since we now have no idea how much longer this will go on we have purchased a countertop oven to use. We had borrowed one from a neighbor but since this has gone on for far too long we are appreciative of their kindness but dont want to continue borrowing. I feel that LG is just stalling us as long as they possibly can and only hope I can count on Costco to insist they make this right.

I will never...I repeat, NEVER buy any LG appliance again. The top-loading HE washer I bought 2 years ago (Model WT4870C) has been nothing but a disappointment. To call it a piece of junk would be an insult to junk. And LG customer service is terrible! Dont think you will get any sympathy or help from the company. Theyve got your money, and thats all they care about. Apparently, quality means nothing to them. First of all, the area around the bleach dispenser rusted. Do you want rust on your clothes? Me either. Thats why I called customer service. Instead of agreement that rust in a washing machine is not acceptable, I was told, If liquid gets on the metal, it can rust. Really? Then why does it say to put liquid bleach there (in the dispenser!) if no liquid is supposed to touch it? And besides, in their opinion, the rust is a cosmetic issue. When I complained that rust can ruin clothes, they told me that I could send them my damaged clothes, and they would review them, and possibly issue some compensation FOR THE CLOTHES! Now, only 2 years into owning this washer, it breaks! I cannot use it at all! It was running when suddenly a terrible noise was heard coming from it (not the normal terrible noises it usually makes), and the tub could not stop. Natural frictional force caused it to finally come to a stop. But now it cannot spin at all. Even though the washer displays proudly on the front a 10-year warranty, that only covers the motor. And guess what: You have to pay for a technician to come out to determine whether it is the motor or not. So you are out a service charge no matter what! (Oh, and even if it is the motor, you still have to pay labor charges out of pocket.) (FYI: The photo attached shows the dispenser after I removed the plastic surround.)

We received our new LG top load washing machine at the beginning of Feb. 2016. Mid March (not even two months!). We noticed all dress shirts and golf shirts were coming out with oily spots on them. Contacted Home Depot who directed us to LG. So, we did contact LG since Mar 21st. You cant reach customer service right away; each customer service rep tells you so many different things. Customer service asks you if you are using HE detergent or fabric softener, and then tells you to try tub clean with clean water then with bleach which didnt solve the problem. The technician LG sends tells you it is what youre putting in the washing machine is the problem. One customer service rep tells you once the technician looked at it, it will be escalated to Mgmt. for exchange; another rep tells you it is rejected and asks you more tub clean while your dirty clothes is piling up. The next minute, the rep on the phone tells you that they dont have an updated report from the technician. Terrible machine and service!!! Wrong machine to get!!! Our old machine didnt have this problem!!

Its a terrible design flaw. Rust is on the hinges where no chlorine or detergent goes. I have pictures... Paint will not help. The entire under part of the area above the bin but connected to the place where you put detergent or bleach is completely rusted out and the metal is so bad. I can stick my finger through it. They sent me an email... that the rust in your washing machine bleach dispenser is a result of the detergent or other additives being spilled that have not been wiped clean. Chlorine bleach is corrosive and will erode the finish if not cleaned immediately. If any spills should happen make sure to wipe it up immediately and the area cleaned with warm water and a soft cloth. Touch-up paint maybe use to cover the area, if not service may be necessary. How could LG design a washing machine that uses bleach and detergent knowing full well that it might get on areas besides the stainless bin and get under this area and all around the entire top of the machine and rust out. That is what happened.

Were now entering the 5th week of me waiting for a repair or replacement and there isnt an end in sight. In fact, LG is actually starting the process over. Customer service hasnt been helpful, their Executive Office has sent me in circles, and I feel like its probably going to be quicker to purchase a new dishwasher - definitely not an LG. I did not have a problem with the sales department at Madison appliances. My problem is with my two year old LG slide-in stove. I bought it a few years ago for my new kitchen. Actually, I saved up my money to make this big purchase. Now, only two years later, it has quit working. I called LG. After thirty minutes on the phone, I realized I would need to call a local repairman for help with fixing my stove in Savannah, Georgia: LG provided me with a recommendation to call, but they did not service my area. Now, $360 later, my two year old stove will be getting fixed by a reputable appliance repair company in my area. I will never buy LG again.I have now purchased a refrigerator and a stove within the last four years total. I have had to replace my ice maker on my refrigerator to the tune of $200 that appears to be rusting on the stainless steel (that has not been treated improperly in any way) and now I am replacing the board on the back of my stove to the tune of $360. BEWARE - I strongly urge everyone to NOT buy LG.

I also had a LG refrigerator that only lasted 5 years. Terrible products. So I saw the Magnetron has a 10 year warranty so I called and they told me on the phone, it would cost me 125.00 right there for the service call and the technician would come out and replace the Magnetron and if it was over 30 min I would pay 35. Extra. When the guy came he looked at the microwave and said, It is the Magnetron and I ordered it but it did not come yet, and you owe me 35.00. I will be back in two weeks with the part.I am furious. I asked him what that 35.00 was for and why did he come out without the part and he said, I charge 160, so are suppose to pay me 35.00 no matter what. 1. Why did he come here without the part? 2. This is not what they told me on the phone. 3. I called them to complain and they said exactly the same thing to me and then when I asked for a manager, the CS person said, we have to review your call and you have to pay him for ordering the part, and then he said you have to pay him for extra time and then he said something else. When I pointed out all the various things he said, he said, We have to say these things. He refused to put me through to a manager. He said, We will call you tomorrow and review your call. Which is nuts since he said the exact same thing to me and the service guy said something different. Also the CS rep said, Well 70-80% of the time the service tech brings the Magnetron. So I pay extra time because I am in the 20%. Also NO ONE SAID I needed to pay another 35.00 when he came. They said, If he goes over 30 minutes. So, so wrong.

We have a six year old French door LG refrigerator, $2,700 purchased at Home Depot. It stopped cooling fridge and freezer. A local repair man told me it was the compressor and that he didnt work on LG refrigerators. I called the customer service number in the owners manual. The sealed system has a parts warranty for seven years and the compressor has a parts warranty for 10 years. When I called them, I told them that my compressor or sealed system was bad as the repair guy had told me. They acted like it was no problem and sold me a repair package for $459.00. They said that would include the repair and a year warranty on the repair. I said great and bought it. They send out the first guy after waiting several days. He said after a few minutes, the compressor is bad and he had to order the part. Well, after several days I hear that he is not coming back to fix it so now I have to wait several more days for LG to send someone else. Another guys shows up and says compressor bad, Im like yeah I know that. He says we will order the parts and it will take several days to get it. He gives me a card and receipt and is on his way. I wait days and never hear anything. I call the number in his card, they say we dont fix LG compressors. This is the same story that I got from the first one and this time I told LG to only send out a service that could fix it because I already knew that was the issue and they should have too since the first guy didnt want to fix it. So this time I was livid. They sent someone else that refused to fix it probably because LG will not pay them enough to fix it. LG continued to give me a runaround after they sold me this repair service for labor on what should be parts under warranty. Not to mention the fact that they screwed me around for three weeks sending their two chosen repairmen out who then refused to fix it but LG was not straightforward on that. I got the same BS story that I read in some other reviews that they say they dont have a repair person in my area. I told them that I live right outside of Houston and if you dont have a repair person in my area then you dont have one anywhere. They then said they would refund my repair purchase minus $100 for a service call fee. I was more livid! At this point I had been out of a refrigerator for over three weeks. We are a family of six with four children. It was our only refrigerator. We were living out of a mini fridge out of our attic and coolers! They did not care one bit. As I figured out that this was going to be a process, I went to Lowes and purchased a basic Whirlpool refrigerator for my garage. After threatening them with BBB and lawsuit, they refunded me my full purchase price of the repair package they sold me. I asked how they get away with not fulfilling their parts warranty. They offered me a one time chance to call my own repair man and I could call in or email his info to them and they would authorize him to get the parts under warranty but of course then I start over on service calls, fees and labor charges and Im sure, more runaround with LG sending the parts that my repair guy would need to fix it. I am so done with dealing with them. From the other reviews I read, Im lucky that my fridge lasted six years! I paid $2,700 for this refrigerator and we have kept it in perfect condition but now it is an expensive nice looking nonworking piece of junk! They are a horrible company. I called local repair companies and many dont even work on LG or Samsung refrigerators. They say their systems are too complicated and awful. I will never ever buy an LG again. I will not purchase Samsung either after what I have read and found out from repairmen. We have been operating out of the one I purchased for the garage and I am researching what to buy to replace my $2,700 LG. Awful, awful, horrible company for customer service!!! I will be purchasing Whirlpool/KitchenAid or maybe GE. It is really unbelievable what they put me through in this process and they do not care one little bit. I am a stay at home mom so I could be around without taking time off work but total and complete runaround and they lie non stop to you. They do not care about you one little bit and wouldnt care if you did have to take off work to deal with their scam and it is a scam!

Our dishwasher needed a new motor when it was 3 years old and cost us $300 in parts and labor. The fridge gives poor water pressure, scant ice because the flap that should close automatically doesnt. The range stopped working last week after we used the self cleaning mode. We replaced the control board for $ 150 and the repair man came today because all that the new board did was get the clock to work again. We now need a power board for $170 parts and labor. These appliances are not and have never been abused. There is no excuse for all these repairs. LG is garbage. Never, never again will we consider anything made by this company.

I am in the middle of what all the other reviewers have said about LG. I am so frustrated that I just had to tell somebody my story. My 1600.00 French Door Freezer on the bottom is nine months old. It just stopped working. I have talked to LG 3 times and get the same answer. We have only one repair person in the area and he cant see it for 3 weeks. I have talked to Home Depot where we purchased it and they said there is nothing they can do for us. I have spent one week on the phone and from what I am reading it looks like I have a long road ahead. Never will buy another LG anything. We are living out of a college dorm sized refrigerator in the house and our old Sears Kenmore in the garage. My 87 year old blind mother lives with us so needless to say this is difficult for her. I can only keep the things she needs in the house. PLEASE if you are reading this DO NOT buy LG.

Bought the fridge April 2021, had it arrive May 2021. Started using it June 17th 2021. It stopped refrigerating July 4th weekend. Lost $250 worth of food. Called LG, got a work order number.. then no contact from anyone. Contacted LGs presidents office. Got a call saying that A&E would be dispatched to do the repair. 7/13/21 A&E tech arrives. Said he isnt qualified/trained to work on the fridge. 90 Mins later he says 7/29/21 they rescheduled the work order. No one called or arrived from A&E on that date. Aug 2nd, A&E texts me saying that its now Aug 10th.. 10 mins later they text saying Aug 17th. Today.. Aug 17th no one arrived, no one called.. two days taking the day off from work and blown off twice by A&E not showing up...So a $3700 fridge that has been broken since the beginning of July sits in our kitchen with no sign that it will be repaired, replaced, or working anytime soon.

Absolute worst customer service ever. $3000 French Door LG Refrigerator stopped working one month after going out of warranty, so basically at the 13 month period, $300 worth of food in the trash! Had to purchase a repair plan for $450 to get it fixed. It is the seal system that is causing the problem. Nobody in my area knows how to fix that. I have asked for my money back. NO, they said. A relative of mine is an LG repair man and he said LG has been trying to hire him but he does not want to work for them because their compensation is very poor. No wonder they dont have anyone available for certain jobs. Now we are using our old LG in the garage (Im glad that I didnt throw it away!) for our food. We wanted all of our appliances to match in the stainless steel color. Stay away from LG fridges. We also have stove, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer. Those have worked great so far!

Spacious, lots of storage, keeps food very cold, french doors, working icemaker, alerts you when you leave the fridge door open. All in all it has definitely has the qualities I want I just dont want to replace it with so much money again. LG has definitely met my initial expectations. It is a very good fridge overall and has all the qualities you need in a fridge but it needs to be made more durable and easier to fix when things break. Cause my ice machine doesnt work. I would have made it easier to clean, more user friendly, make it less loud when it beeps when you leave the door open. Also, the handle to the freezer broke, so I would made that more durable.

Before warranty was over the plastic shelves on door began cracking and chipping, the ice maker in the door does not work. It freezes up and does not crush ice, and you cannot remove the bucket that the ice drops into. Doors do not closed tightly. Bad design, bad mechanism. The stainless steel doors, are made of a very low grade Stainless steel, does not clean properly. After many years of being professionals in the working world, we have hit on the WORST product and service from an appliance manufacturer. Our washer was just over 12 months old when we began to experience relentless problems such as continuous UE signals, subsequential refilling of the washer tub, prolonged run times up to 4 hours, and soaking wet clothes even after the spin cycle was completed. We called LG Customer Service and were told in so many words---too bad but it is your problem. We have been Honda car owners for 30 years and cannot say enough good about their customer service and working WITH us when any problems occurred. As a result, we have told many others to buy Honda and they will NEVER be disappointed. We were just told by a repairman that the control panel is bad and needs to be replaced to the tune of $234.00. This on a washer that is now about 15 months old. Quality control must not be existent at LG. In this case, we WILL tell all those we know NEVER to buy a LG product of any sort.

A $1,000 joke - We purchased an LG Black Granite model from Home Depot in November of 2018. It has NOT worked more than it has worked. Dealing with customer service is one of the most frustrating aspects of this whole experience. We have had a new power board, a re-wire and now waiting on a door component. All while the CS rep is trying to tell me to pull out the unit and shorter the legs... ummm what?It is now March and it is not working again. All through the holidays we had no dishwasher and have spent hours sitting here either on the phone or waiting for repair service. I will NEVER again. Home Depot should not even sell this brand. I advised him that the refrigerator was running perfectly but no one had picked up the faulty door yet. He wound up picking up the door and hauling it away. I am very thankful that he did so, because I know he wasnt required to. All in all, the technician went above and beyond to do that, but I feel like it was only because I was the squeaky wheel. I have a model number LFZ65960ST LG Refrigerator. I have not been very happy with this refrigerator since I purchased it. First of all, it dents and scratches very easily. Second, I received a notice a part needed replace for a recall due it causes the electric to increase. Lastly, this morning December 26, 2011, we woke up to make breakfast and discovered the eggs were warm. We looked up at the light in the top of the refrigerator and the light cover melted the sockets are black, and everything on the top shelf of the fridge was hot and starting to cook. It ruined all the food on the top shelf of the fridge. It melted the butter in the butter holder. We had to throw away probably $50 worth of groceries. My biggest concern is if we hadnt been home, my house could have caught on fire. We removed the light bulbs out of the light and the light cover is completely ruined, I cant even put it back on the lights it wont fit. I read where there is a lawsuit regarding other home fires caused by this problem. I want to get my refrigerator fixed and I feel there should be a recall for this problem with these refrigerators. Please contact me regarding this matter.

Our refrigerator (model LFXC24726S) was bought at Best Buy Pacific Sales in 2/15. First there was a recall issue in the flat drawer and it kept freezing. It was fixed at no charge. Two weeks ago I went to get ice and all I got was water. My entire freezer was defrosted and the fridge part was getting increasingly warm. After calling the Geek Squad for repair and finding out that my extended warranty was applied to a Samsung fridge I had returned (did not fit properly in my kitchen) and never credited or transferred to the LG. So no warranty, even though it was not our fault. Now nearly 2 weeks later, I find out that the problem is a Freon leak and they cannot fix it. When the Geek Squad came to see about the reason for the failure of this very expensive fridge, he stated that he had 3 LGs have the same thing in the last few weeks. He noted that all the fridges were ALL approximately the same age (3 years or less). After going to corporate since I had gotten nowhere with anyone else at Best Buy, they are finally replacing it. Im hoping this wont happen again in the near future. Fridges are supposed to last more than 3 years.

I bought a new LG dryer, September 24, 2020, from my local best buy. I also purchased the 5 year extended warranty. Fast forward to beginning of march 2021: my new dryer stopped working, gave me an error code. Because it was just over 5 months after purchase, i had to file a claim with lg. So, i call the lg warranty phone number and was told that there werent any technicians in my area that could service my dryer and they would look at third party techs. 4 months pass and finally someone comes out in June, 2021. He states that LG dryers have ongoing issues with their thermal fuses. He didnt have the right part with him and said he had to order it and would call to set an appointment when the part came in. About a week had passed and I called the technician, I was told the part was on backorder but i had a date of repair, July 17 2021. Tech showed up for the appointment and He replaced the fuse and the dryer worked again. 13 days later on July 30 2021, my dryer stopped working again and I received the same error code.I called the warranty department back and was told that they would contact me in 10 business days, as they had to look for someone to service the dryer. 10 days passed and they never called, after about a month, i called them. I was told that they were having a hard time trying to find someone to come out to fix their appliance. I asked them if they could send the last tech back out. The rep agreed and stated I would be called back. No one called. So I called again, this time I was told that my dryer was a lemon and i needed to wait for a phone call from another department, and was guaranteed i would hear from someone in 3 days. Another weeks passed and I called again, now each time I call, I am given a ticket number, I was told this time that nothing could be done. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that there were none on staff, and then was told that they couldnt patch me through to someone else... After about and hour of this crap I was told the supervisor would call me back, again. No call ( surprise surprise). I keep trying to get through to someone at LG, still having no luck and its now passing the 1 year manufacturer warranty and my time is running out to have this thing fixed, again.Lg just kept giving me one shit poor excuse after another and finally i gave up when i wad told youre outside of the 12 month manufacturer warranty, theres nothing we can do, maam . So, I called Best Buy. I explained the situation and all the bs i was going through with LG and the rep told me that LG has been having a lot of issues and they would take care of me. That was September 2021. No one has come out. My dryer is still broken.I took it upon myself and contacted the original technician and asked if he could come back out to replace the fuse again. He was able to put a repair ticket in with LG because my appliance broke a few months before the 12 month warranty ended. He came out toward the end of October 2021. He checked the fuse, because the error code the dryer was showing indicated it was the fuse, again. It wasnt, the fuse was fine. Turns out, according to the tech, I need a new wire harness and maybe a new computer? He wasnt sure, so he was placing an order for both and would call with an appointment. Its now December and the technician hasnt been back, after multiple phone calls I was finally told that the parts needed were on backorder and he wasnt sure when they would be in.I called Best Buy again today and explained the situation, again, and was told when ordering parts the company has so much time to fill the order, after that date has passed we (Best Buy) consider the appliance a total loss and she was going to transfer us to another department to get it all sorted. New department said that the technician has to come out and put it in his/her notes that it can not be fixed or is not worth fixing. Then and only then can the dryer be considered a total loss, and then they will replace my dryer with a new one.. another LG. I explained, in the nicest way possible, I do not want another LG appliance. I bought this one brand new just over a year ago, Ive been able to use it maybe 6 months total. I have had nothing but issues with the dryer and the companys customer service. I have 4 children ( ages 15, 6,3 and 2),we need a working dryer. We need something reliable. I would much rather have them take this junk out of my house and refund my money. It has been called a lemon many times, not only by best buy reps but also 2 reps that work for LG. Its a massive inconvenience to have to bring laundry to a laundromat everyday to have it dried.. I get 27 minutes of drying time for $1.50. Because I am potty training 2 toddlers, have 2 in school and my partner is an ironworker, we do a lot of wash. I spend between $10 and $15 every 2 days at the laundromat and about $20-$30 a week in gas to go back and forth to the laundromat. Thats A LOT of money to be dishing out because LG doesnt stand by their products. Money that could have gone on a couple new appliances, bills etc. She, the CSR, said she was transferring me to the lemon claims department. The man I spoke to basically told me that unless i file a civil claim against the company and a technician says that I have a faulty dryer, the only thing they ( best buy) can do is replace my dryer with a used LG dryer of comparable value. Which this dryer now isnt worth a damn thing. I am so annoyed with LG. Im annoyed at the fact that i spent almost a grand on something that LG says would last 10-15 YEARS. it didnt even last 6 months! Now i have to waste more time on monday calling LG, best buy and the technician and ask them to email or snail mail me all the paperwork and notes for the last year, so i can bring it all to my attorney. I have had enough of that company and their appliances. I will never purchase another product with the LG logo.

LG WT487OCW top loading washing machine - Purchased 7 months ago. Since day one the machine gave constant signals of being out of balance. We constantly have to restart the machine extending washing time to an average of 1 1/2 to 2 hours. The diagnostic system built into the machine is not helpful. It diagnosed a different problem and could not correct it. Currently it dispenses water during the spin cycle, again extending the total cycle due to having to restart the machine. Customer service did reply with a warranty repair that is pending. In contact with the servicing contractor who stated that software problems with this machine are common and a motherboard and flywheel may be the needed repair. We will see.

Their technician said he was the only one for the area. Told me the range was functioning. I turned on the broiler several hours later and heard a strange humming noise followed by a loud bang. Range/broiler/oven light dont work at all.Repair technician said it would take a week to receive a new circuit board which I found online for 50 dollars and could have it expedited. If only I had checked for reviews prior to my purchase. I moved to Georgia from California a little over a year ago and was so excited about getting a new washer/dryer. I went to Home Depot (its a small town, so the store selection is limited) and found what I thought was a really nice washer/dryer combo from LG. I couldnt have been more disappointed. The washer takes FOREVER - mostly because it continually rebalances the load - all to no avail. After multiple attempts the washer gives up and chimes to tell me to come and rebalance it. Now - Ive had washers before (all with agitators, which this one doesnt have) and one - sometimes two - rebalances corrects the problem... NOT with the LG - sometimes I have to rebalance 6 or 8 times in order for the load to complete the cycle. Then I have to repeat the process with the next spin. It doesnt just happen with odd weight loads or odd sized - its nearly everything. I HATE THIS WASHER. DONT BUY ONE!!!

Ordered & paid for LG, bottom freezer refrigerator in 2/2014. Delivery was April 1; delivery man lost a part to the doors so didnt close properly. After a LOT of phone calls LG called and delivered a new refrigerator (same model). Two months after use, started whistling. Sounds like the bomb sound effects in old war movies; I timed the whistle... over one minute - each time motor cuts on it whistles. After whistling stops motor runs at an elevated groaning (small aircraft). Called LG for repair (still under warranty); online customer service ignored my request for two months. Finally got a note saying sorry - were having IT issues. They scheduled an appt for a repairman after I called Home Depot (who then called LG). Repairman never showed because the company doesnt service LG unless out of warranty or bought from them (so they told me when I called to find out where they were).Recontacted LG (online chat customer service as it is based in the US) and I keep a transcript of conversations. Week later, awaiting repairman. Refrigerator 5 months old. After reading all comments, I am fearful for the next 7 months. I will not ever buy an LG again purely because their customer service quality is - well I am not suppose to write what I am thinking... How do we stop this company from selling in the US? Who do we complain to? Federal Trade Commission? BBB? Who else?

The knobs, all five, on my LG stove broke almost immediately and they are $75.00 ea. to replace. I will not buy these knobs because the inside is plastic and will break again and at $75.00 ea. it is too expensive to have to keep replacing them. Could be the fuse, which was replaced, or the condenser which means I have to buy a new refrigerator. I have tried contacting both Home Depot and the manufacturer directly with no success. These appliances are made in South Korea and are made rather shabbily... look good on the outside but the insides suck. Dont buy these appliances. Shame on Home Depot!

1.5 years after buying a brand new LG stove, it broke down. Brand new LG fridge and freezer broke after 3-4 years and we called someone to fix it at the same time, they told us it would be $80 to bring someone in. We agreed. They then told us everything had to be replaced and charged us $400 for that information without a single warning that we would have additional charges after that $80. Instead we were told when repairs are made the $80 would be subtracted from the repair cost except the repair cost was more than a new appliance. STAY AWAY.

I purchased 4 of the LG Studio line for my new kitchen. Gas Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher, and refrigerator. 1st use of Dishwasher and it did not clean. Then the items I left in for the next wash, grew BLACK MOLD. There is always moisture in the dishwasher, even day after running it, and I have to leave the door ajar to help it dry. If I shut the door, BLACK MOLD grows. The microwave turntable rattles so loud it can be heard over the normal microwave sounds. The gas stove is often unresponsive. The buttons on the front do not always work and I have had to pull it out from the wall to unplug it and plug it back in to get them to work. It is very random and I have not been able to figure out a pattern of use that causes it to malfunction.I put in 3 service requests to have these repaired. Im entering the 3rd month and they STILL have not been to my home. LG sent this to a 3rd party Vendor AE FACTORY. They have left partial emails telling me to call them and then they do NOT answer their phone. I have spent even more time contacting LG Customer Service, who has done nothing to help. They have no control over their 3rd party repair vendors, and no supervisor will ever get on the phone or call me back. DO yourself a favor, go with a different brand!

We purchased our LG LFX29945ST refrigerator in June of 2014 and started to have major problems in December with the refrigerator compartment freezing food. We had the temperature set at 45 degrees and it was still 30 degrees inside. Called LG for service and got terrible support. We made several calls, got disconnected/hung up on once. The smart diagnosis showed we opened the refrigerator too much (we have a family of 5 so it gets used a lot). They tried to tell us it wasnt level, but the level showed good. Lucky for us we purchased a warranty via Lowes. Lowes sent a service person out and he would sit on hold for 20-30 minutes to talk with an LG tech. Service replaced the whole inside back panel with the air control doors and thermostats along with the control board. This repair caused the refrigerator to not get cold at all. Tech came back out and was told by LG support it was the wrong control board that the LG tech told him to order. Another week later the new control board comes in and its freezing food again (temp between 28-30 degrees). We been unable to use the refrigerator for over two months. Tried to do a review on the LG website and they denied it. I guess that is how they get such good reviews by rejecting the negative ones. I cant believe that I spent over $2,000 dollars on a refrigerator that I cant use for food. At this point the Technician and I are both very frustrated with LG and still trying to resolve the issue. How can a consumer get a bad appliance replaced?

I called back. No service in my town and would have to have a review of my issue. Told to call local repair person and they would cover it. I did. They would not ship the part to him and when I called they said hey never authorized it. Said they escalated my repair to another department and would call back. I had to call them back, this was over 4 months. Final call from them was to call Sears and have them cover it under the extended warranty that I purchased as the machine was now over the one year coverage period even though I called well before the year was up.

We purchased a counter-depth LG French Door unit from Lowes about 5 years ago with a 3-year service agreement. Because LG doesnt make as many counter depth compared to standard depth, it cost more (~$3000). Cosmetically and storage-wise, we were quite happy with it, but early in the first year we noticed that ice was building up behind the left bottom storage drawer. Lowes repairman replaced the entire rear fan/control unit, explaining that if we didnt have the service contract it would have cost us about $500.Unfortunately 2-more service calls by 2 different organizations were required in the first 3-years --- all for the same ice problem! We then purchased a 1-year extension for the service agreement because it was obvious that our $3000 fridge had a problem no one seemed to be able to fix. We were correct, because we had more ice in that year.Numerous calls and emails to LG and Lowes during these 5-years got us little more than asking for more and more details about previous repairs. They also referred us to someone to repair it. They all tried, replacing more pieces and parts. Finally, a few months ago when ice again recurred we spent $90 for another LG expert to review our issue. They told us LG had issued some sort of bulletin about this problem, and for another $500 for the part, plus labor, they could fix it. At this point we had already spent at least $750 and dozens of hours trying to fix a $3000 fridge and had no confidence anyone could repair it properly, so this afternoon our new Frigidaire will be installed and the LG hauled away; and Im writing this review. Ever since we bought our LG Model LFX31925ST in Nov. 2012, the ice maker is leaking on. You cant get ice from dispenser because all ice are frozen together and now the water is leaking from under the refrigerator and its not because of the water supply. Both ends of the water supply are dry. Now lets talk about the clothes dryer. We have the tech out 4 times because the tub was bent and they would not replace it until the manager came out and now its taking 2-3 hours to dry a normal load of clothes. We have a new LG gas stove and dishwasher still in the box new but were thinking on selling them and getting another brand because the LG line of appliance is not worth the money you spend for them and the quality is not there.

We had a KitchenAid pour close to 20 years with only one call to the repair shop... This LG dishwasher is going to cost more in repair bills than we paid for it. The worse dishwasher we ever had. I bought the LG LSXS26326 refrigerator in the 2015 with a 10 compressor warranty. The compressor failed 2021. When I contacted LG I was told by LG that they do not have service techs in the area. Three week wait just to get a third-party service company to do diagnostics, then the part can be ordered, which has a 3-5 business day turn around time. Multiple service companies refused to do LG service work. The LG service website lists available service providers in the area, but upon contact they all stated they no longer support LG warranty or service work. I will never buy another LG product.

I have had nothing but problems since purchasing this washer from Home Depot. First it was emptying the little filter all the way down on the left side of the front of the washer. If all the water was not out it took hours for it to empty, even the smallest amount of water. Now, yesterday and today the washer cannot seem to even wring out a couple towels. I had to remove a small scatter rug yesterday soaking wet and place it rolled up in a towel in the dryer until the washer decided to finish the load of laundry, then putting the rug back in the washer to be wrung out before returning it to the dryer. Today I put a couple bath towels, not thick ones, ones I use around the house, and a small scatter rug about 2x3 ft, and now the door to the washer will not open, at all. I waited over an hour, tried to open the door again, the washer will start and water will run, which I immediately stopped, when the water begins you can hear the click for the door, but when the washer is stopped, the click for the door does not happen - so I cannot open the door. This is a horrible product, and I am so very sorry I did not get my Maytag washer that I have had in the past - with no problems until the day I replace it. On that day, the person delivering my new washer asked if he could have my other one for his home as it was still working. I only wanted a new washer and made the horrible mistake of purchasing and LG PIECE OF JUNK - NEVER AGAIN AND I WILL WARN EVERYONE NOT TO DO SO INCLUDING MY 5 DAUGHTERS.

Redid my kitchen and went to BrandsMart and bought a complete LG kitchen package, Worst quality product ever. After about 2 or 3 months the fan stops working so we call Brandsmart. Worst customer service ever. They should be ashamed, the guy came out and didnt even have the proper equipment with him to de-ice the fan. My husband had to loan him the equipment. P.S. it works for about 6 months then stops working again so we call Brandsmart again. The guy comes out and resets the refrigerator by unplugging it and plugging it back it, of course that didnt work.I call LG who sends out their own technician who said it was the motherboard. That gets replaced, only to work another 2 months. Now they are replacing the compressor and the two evaporators. I am out of manufacture warranty but LG is covering the labor cost but are giving me a hard time. I requested a new refrigerator and a refund and who knows if that is going to happen. This whole process has been like pulling teeth, I have also been without a refrigerator twice, for 3 weeks each time. They are also giving me a one time food loss credit. Dont know how much, but I think a class action lawsuit is in order, the anxiety and stress dealing with the stupid techs and the customer service is too much. I dont think I can do this a 5th time. The refrigerator is only one year old now.

Bought a new white side by side LG refrigerator about 1 1/2 years ago from a local big box retailer. The plastic trim pieces around the electronic controls/water dispenser/ice dispenser have turned yellow. The refrigerator is bright white and the large bezel and drain plate is now a disgusting yellow. I first tried to resolve the matter with an online chat representative who was absolutely clueless. She couldnt even figure out what parts they were on her schematic. She finally gave up and had me complete an online upload form with pictures that I had to take. She said she would call me back after I uploaded the form. I uploaded the form with pictures and after two days no response. So I did another online chat with another agent. I gave her my case number and all she said is Sorry its out of warranty. She gave me the phone number of their parts distributor for the Eastern USA and the girl who answered the phone instantly put me on hold and never came back. This is ridiculous! The trim pieces are about $180.00. So, dont ever buy a white LG refrigerator and if you would like customer assistance on their product - Dont buy an LG Refrigerator.

LG has been kind during phone calls but I would rather them be rude and FIX it! And will not restart until the next day. Thought it was all due to the thumping. And the lint vent needing cleaned. Found out the drum had a crack in it because of a faulty weld. I got my new French door LG Refrigerator, Model #LFX31925ST/100, in October of 2011, for $2354.90. The ice maker has been replaced at least twice and currently they say the one installed in August needs to be replaced again, it quit in Dec. I have had at least 6 service calls. Not counting the times they couldnt get here and had me pulling the fridge out from wall & unplugging it for several hours and plugging it back in, to eliminate loud knocking noises. This week we finally figured out that even though 8/23/15 they replaced fan grill assembly in the back of deep freeze (new one has some sort of defroster in it) we still have no ice. Last summer the water spout on door stuck in on position and nothing we did would shut it off. It flooded our kitchen before we could get the water shut off. I have thrown out so much food during the past two yrs, it is insane. Finally went and bought thermometer and learned that even though door panel shows refrig. set at 33 temp is 46-48. Freezer varies. Now I have learned it is currently part of a Class Action Law Suit and Im not alone. Im done in and crying Uncle...

The refrigerators main CKT board failed (blown fuse) 7 months after purchase on 3/12/2009 resulting in spoiled food. LGs authorized repairs first repair was to jump the fuse. After complaints, I received a new board, which the repair facility installed. I kept the old board. Last week the start relay on the compressor failed also resulting in a loss of several hundred dollars in food. Contacted LG and they referred me to Encompass after I received the so-called replacement relay from Repair Clinic. (It had 2 terminals that plug into the compressor and was not the correct part, which is a 3 terminal device (relay/OLP) with 2 receptacles on the opposite side for the start capacitor and 2 spade connectors for the power (line and neutral). (An easy repair if you have the correct part.) Contacted at least 3 other part suppliers including Encompass and all had the same information and same wrong part. After spending $1600 for this appliance and losing hundreds of dollars in spoiled food and many hours trying to contact LG technicians, I have temporarily hooked up a Supco 3 in 1 (relay, OLP, and the original capacitor). I am a retired physics and electricity teacher (41 years experience) and I think their support is terrible. I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone. The pictures submitted show the original relay, the two replacement parts (relay and overload protector), manufacturers tag and receipt).

We purchased an open box LG washing machine from Best Buy; first they changed the delivery date without notice; fast forward five months, this washing machine flooded our brand new house THREE TIMES. Well, we requested him to stay and watch and finally, he see the problem that LG never heard of. After one month, LG finally decide to issue a request to Best Buy to issue a refund since the washing machine was under warranty. We purchased an LG fridge and stove from Home Depot on January 3, 2014. We were given a date for delivery of Jan 24, 2014. So my husband takes the day off work to await the delivery. At 9:30 am we received a call from Home Depot asking if we had received a call from LG with our delivery time? We answered, no, we had not, and Home Depot staff said he would call LG to see when it was coming. Several hours later with no return call from anyone I called Home Depot (2:30 pm), only to be told that our products were out of stock and would now not be delivered until Feb 4, 2014. So upset over taking a day off and not even the smallest of respect for LG to call and inform us that our products were not coming, we wait until the next date. For Feb 4th comes and again my husband takes the day off work to await the delivery (surely if it was not coming today LG would have called to inform us). By 11 am we heard nothing so I placed a call to LG myself. It was at this time I was given the run around. I asked her if it was customary for them to not call their clients to inform them that their delivery is not coming. She told me it was Home Depots responsibility (I spoke with Home Depot and the told me it was their responsibility). I explained that I felt that was horrible customer service to not provide common courtesy. I let her know that it cost us money to stay at home for the 2 days and they couldnt pick up the phone. The customer services lady could not help me and when I asked to speak to a manager the manager would not take my call and instead gave me the number to call the delivery department. It was then I spoke with them and was told that it wasnt coming today either and had no idea when it was coming. Eventually we found out another delivery date of Feb 12. I wonder if I will ever get the items I paid for??

I have been reading the many complaints of the LG gas oven switch complaints. We have been having the same problems. (1) Clothing catching on switches and accidentally lighting the burners. (2) Switches turning on but not far enough to ignite the gas supply leaving raw gas to disperse into the kitchen. I wrote to LG about this problem and the answer indicated that they had heard about the problem but it was not dangerous enough to issue a recall. Maybe they need a house fire or a gassing death before they are compelled to take real action. By the way the answer I received had many grammatical errors in the reply so I assume it may be written by some low paid clerk with no real knowledge of the danger with this design problem. No more LG products for this household.

The French door refrigerator we bought is awesome. There is so much room. That said it does make the freezer a bit small but I love the 3 different spaces. The new black stainless is terrific, no fingerprint marks and easy to spot clean when needed.

3 door ultra large capacity counter depth refrigerator- Expensive, top-of-the-line refrigerator with compressor failure just after 2 years of use. Over $900 in labor costs, took over a week to get the replacement part (we are in Seattle). Customer service at LG did not care about any of this, at all. By the way, their online website shows many 5-star reviews-- they vet all reviews and do not print any that are negative.

The drum spun off its base when in the spin cycle . It was only filled with intimate clothing . It slammed into the inside front panel of the washer with me standing in front of the machine. I called LG and they want proof of purchase..Which we have...Then they will review..then they will decide if it meets criteria for repair....then they will find a service person....then they will schedule an appointment for repair on a washer that they knew was on recall all along! Maybe 5 to 10 days later! I have a family of 6...one trip to the laundry mat is 50.00 to 80.00 depending on blankets with urine etc. In 10 days we will be out the cost of a washer. What kind of help is that! At home depot we paid 1945.00 for the washer and dryer set on 12/08/11. That is the type of customer service you receive from LG for your dollars...so BADDDDD! DONT DO IT!

My top load washer blew up inside after using the machine for 5 years without an issue. I had registered the product and never received notice that the company had recalled the model I purchased. When I filed my recall claim LG had all my customer information, including my purchase price and old maiden name, but refused to process my recall until I could provide my own receipt. I went through days of searching and calling Home Depot and complained three times to call representatives that its unfair I have to jump through all these hoops when they already know the selling price to reimburse me for. They stated You have to reconfirm the price and prove thats what we owe you.Ive been without a washer for three weeks now and am out a hundred dollars in laundry costs. As well as $300 in lost clothes when the washing machine blew up and caught on fire inside. LG refuses to acknowledge these costs and the time Ive spent toting laundry all over. The nearest laundromat is 20 miles from my house. Simply refunding me my purchase price is a slap in the face after all Ive been through because of this machine literally blowing up and catching fire inside. My house smelled like electrical fire for almost a full two weeks.
