I have purchased a new refrigerator from LG distributor. I have registered a complaint under RNA** for the refrigerator not cooling. After so many reminders, the problem is still unresolved therefore I am facing a crucial problem. Please sort out the problem on top priority so that I will continue to have confidence with LG products.

LG Wave Washer and Dryer (Granite) - This is the second time the drum in the dryer has come loose. The first time because we left a review, LG repaired the issue only for it to happen again. My husband is a Quality Engineer and deals with these things all the time. This dryer should have been recalled and the washer is rusted really bad. This set cost me a lot of money and the dryer is now too dangerous to use because there is a huge hole in the drum and you could cut yourself. It was beautiful to look at but does not work well. All my clothes and sheets tangle... So frustrated.

LG Refrigerator model number LFXS30766S/02 - Retail Cost $3,799. topped working on 6/11/2017. It was Purchased on 7/9/2015. The unit was only 23 Months old. Compressor is Defective and there seem to be another issue with it. As an Engineer, I tested the Refrigerator myself and determined Compressor has completely failed. I called LG Service department to let them know that the Compressor is bad and it needs to be replaced. The Compressor is under 10 Year warranty. I was notified that a technician needed to come out and verify this. I was given 2 options: 1. I needed to pay Approximately $345 (I do not remember the exact amount, but it was this high) to come out just to look at it and fix the issue, but this will be a one-shot deal. Or Option 2. $459 to come out and verify, Fix the issue and then have it covered again under warranty for another year.I do not understand why I need to pay these amounts for something that is covered in warranty. Especially when I am reading all over the internet that this particular Compressor, Ice trays and circuit boards are Failing at an extremely high rate. I ended up having to pay $459 to have a technician come out to say that I was correct and they needed to order a new one. Its now 3 Months later and I do not have a refrigerator. We have given up on LG. Never again. Pass the word around. Do not wait on them to do the right thing. We ended up purchasing a Kenmore Refrigerator for the family. For the cost we paid for the LG, you would expect a quality product. But it seems like LG is using the US Market as a dumping ground for their defective items.

Two years ago, my wife and I purchased an LG 7957295 French Door refrigerator. Its now 2020 and the compressor is shot. Sears wants $1000 to repair it or will give me a %50 discount if I pay $50 ($600 per year) for an appliance (all) warranty. I could have purchased a $3000 refrigerator for that amount of money. I checked and sure enough the LGs are having problems with their linear compressors I am told. The reviews say it and the repairmen are saying it. Yet, LG continues to sell them. Last, we have had numerous problems with this refrigerator from the start, loud auger sound in back, dents if you look at it, fingerprint resistant is anything but. I am heading out to buy a new refrigerator since I dont want any more problems with this item.

I purchased a LG French door refrigerator at the end of 2016. The refrigerator was very noisy and the engine run nonstop. I assumed that it was because I went from a basic refrigerator to this super fancy fridge. Big mistake. The refrigerator started leaking. I called LG and they had an excuse after excuse. I called Home Depot where I purchased the fridge and they referred me back to LG. The fridge comes with a 10 year guarantee on the compressor. The compressor went out on May 2017 and I called LG again and again. They put me on hold for hours at a time. They promised to send someone to fix it. Here I am over 4 months later and no answer. I had to buy a new fridge. I paid almost $2000 for a piece of junk. Please do your research if you are thinking about buying LG products. The quality of the products stink. I hope to join a class action suit and get my money back one day. Thank you.

For the last 2 years I have not been able to use my dishwasher. The reason is when it goes through a cycle it comes out smelling. I have had 5 repair man out here and they say there is nothing they can do - its the dishwasher itself. I paid over $1000 for this piece of junk. The only solution that they gave me was to go to a hardware store and get an item that you put into the dishwasher and its supposed to clean it. Needless to say I still cant use my dishwasher. When I bought all my appliances stainless steel this was supposed to be the best. I live on Social Security and its going to be hard for me to go out and buy a new one. It will not be an LG. I was literally washed the dishes before I would use the dishwasher. Now when I wash my dishes by hand at least I know theyre clean. I am very upset with this product. I have never complained to consumers but in this case I have to. Beware and if you do decide to get an LG make sure you have a very long extended warranty.

Bought top load washer & dryer. Very first load ripped almost new $85 shirt and washcloth half. Called LG and they sent repair person out to view shirt and washcloth. Told to return it to HH Gregg and get a new washer, did so and contacted LG to pay for shirt. After sending tons of pictures, many calls, they refused to pay since I no longer had the original machine (go figure??? Their LG repair person said to return it). Often have to rewash clothes, not enough water, loud, major wrinkles, etc. Then a recall for the machine comes and schedule appointment with LG for repair person to handle recall. They come out, update software to the machine??? and then tell me not to wash anything in the machine that sheds water (waterproof? like mattress covers, etc.). Hmmm. Then he tells me my dryer doesnt dry because there are sensors in the dryer that get coated with dryer sheet film and it confuses the dryer. Oh and the replaced machine ripped another shirt, even though you have to button shirts, pants, and turn inside out!!!! LG washers/dryers dont wash and dry like regular washers and dryers we have all been used to in the past. The new save water costs more water and electricity by having to rewash and dry so many times. LG COULDNT CARE LESS EITHER AFTER YOU HAVE BOUGHT IT! We will never buy LG again and if you can hang onto your regular washer, do so. Its better for the environment and your state of mind.

Lg tends to make really good electronics. I like that the lg refrigerator is really good and high quality and they tend to last a relatively long period of time and i never really had a problem with them. I like that the smart black lg refrigerators tend to have a lot of room in the freezer section. I tend to always like that lg has a large main design. But they often tend to charge alot for their refrigerators and also they charge alot for there ovens, and they charge alot for there cellphones. It also causes a higher energy bill. Its sometimes hard to bring it into the house. But thats fine. At the end of the year i do intend to buy one more refrigerator. It is make alot better than other companies.

Steam washer Model #WM2688 - My son gave me an LG Tromm washer and dryer set for a Mother’s Day/Birthday present in 2008 and I was thrilled! In the beginning it was so quiet I wasnt sure it was running! About 6 months ago I noticed it was getting a bit noisier. Then it suddenly started rocking during the spin cycle. My husband checked it for level and it was perfect. We manually changed the spin cycle to Medium in hopes it would no rock during the spin cycle. It got progressively louder as time went on. I want to add that there are only two of us and we do 4-5 loads of laundry per week. This machine was not working hard for us. It finally began making a different sound and was getting even louder. I called for a repairman. He tried out a couple of cycles and said, Your bearings are going out. I asked if that was normal, for a 7 yr. old washer and he said, “I see it all the time. Sometimes at 5 yrs. and sometimes at 10 yrs. When I asked what it would cost to repair he said he would write out an estimate for me. When he handed it to me I thought hed made a mistake. $829.22! Its a $900.00 machine new! He then said he wanted to look and see if anything was under warranted. The stainless steel drum had a lifetime warranty so my bill dropped to $531.20. What kind of a company sells a machine that much to repair? Repairman told me that he sees this all the time and rarely does anyone pay to have them fixed. I dont consider a $900.00 washing machine exactly a throwaway! I am thoroughly disgusted with a company that continues to build a product with a known problem leaving its consumers to pay for it! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG PRODUCT. I will also make sure that no one that I know doesnt either.

My LG french door Refrigerator & Freezer stopped cooling after 7 years
My LG french door Refrigerator & Freezer stopped cooling after 7 years of no issues. Called LG repair department on (4/14) and they scheduled me with an LG certified technician. The Tech (Hector) arrived at my house on time on (04/17), and fixed my fridge very professionally. The complete cost of repair was reasonable since I was not charged with a new compressor (old one was under 10 years warranty). Currently, (04/26), my fridge is working with no issues. I hesitated at first to pay the upfront charge but it ended up being well worth it so far. I'm crossing my fingers. :-)

Bought a kitchen suite of LG Black stainless appliances in July 2016. Within 2 weeks the gas stove top started to get rust pitting, we called LG, nothing they could do for cosmeticproblems. Strike One. Within one month the icemaker in the door of our refrigerator began building up ice and freezing up. We went online and were advised to check the seal and change the filter. We did, We defrosted it every week for months because water drops would form on the top of the freezer drawer and eventually drip on our brand new oak floors. Not to mention we couldnt open the door to retrieve ice. Strike Two. Well at just over a year the water dispenser decided to turn itself on and flood our kitchen, basement and ruin our floors. A call to LG yielded nothing but a recommendation for a repairman. He showed up, said it needed to be reset. He did that and said it was fixed. Before he could put his tools away and give us the bill the water dispenser again turned itself back on. He had me turn the water supply to it off, said he was going to get some parts and never came back. No bill, no word.... Gone. Well for the last 2 years we make ice with a counter top ice maker. Strike Three. Recently the black Stainless has started to peel ojf the refrigerator. It is literally black saran wrap. We have used nothing but water and a paper towel to clean it for fear of ruining the finish. Anyone else seeing a trend here. We are 2 middle aged adults, no kids around, no pets, who treat our belongings carefully. I couldnt imagine what these appliances would look like in a busy household with kids and pets. LG, worst decision we ever made. Stay away at all costs. Customer service is non existent and products are poorly made. DO NOT BUY.

I wished that I could have read this blog before I purchased my LG refrigerator. I purchased my refrigerator 4 years ago and have had the fuse blown twice, ruining all the contents of my refrigerator. The servicemans fix was using a paperclip to bypass the fuse and order me a new board, which would cost $400 (if I didnt have warranty). He explained that on this refrigerator, the fuse was located on the main circuit board and when the little fuse blows, you have to replace the whole board, which costs around $400.00, and it takes awhile to obtain. Two years almost to that day, my refrigerator went out again due to the same issue. I had extended warranty through Home Depot. It took a week to get a serviceman to my home, to hear that the main fix is to by-pass the fuse with a paperclip or some wire. I was told that LG is aware of the poor design and hasnt made any changes to keep this problem from occurring again. I lost another refrigerator full of food and some expensive medications to hear the paper clip is the answer again! I told the service repair that I wanted a new board ordered and placed on the back of this expensive refrigerator to hear him say that it is a temporary fix. LG has an issue with their product, people have contacted them, and they seem not to care. I contacted via Live Chat to hear, I am sorry for your inconvenience and had enough of that pre-typed message and asked for a supervisor. The supervisor said that there was nothing they could do but would pass my complaint on to a claims review dept. and that they may or may not contact me to help resolve the issue. I asked for a phone number to contact LG and was told by John (the supervisor) that he did not have a number for me to talk with someone about my issue. This was all that I needed to hear from someone online. It seems that LG hides behind their Live Chat personnel and are not interested in addressing their issues. Home Depot should be embarrassed to carry their products. We teach our children to make their wrongs right. I guess LG missed out on that lesson!

Two years ago I purchased all new LG appliances for my kitchen. The microwave and oven work properly. However the dishwasher and refrigerator are pieces of junk. I upgraded my dishwasher to the Inverter Direct Drive. After trying different loading methods and different brands of D/W soap, the only way my dishes get truly cleaned, is if I use the power scrub setting. This setting runs for 2:45!!!My refrigerator LG model LFX31925ST/02 is even worse!! Every so often it makes loud vibrating sounds (which I have recorded), some banging which results in a chunk of ice that falls out of the bottom. The freezer is on the bottom and has 3 drawers. The top drawer does not maintain freezing temperatures, resulting in defrosted food that has to be thrown out. When I contacted LG Repair service (I paid for extra warranty) I was told that I am not covered for a repair visit, unless the refrigerator acts up in their presence. I advised them that I have photos and videos to prove its poor performance, however that is not sufficient! I called the retail store where I purchased it. After several calls, the store manager called me and apologized because LG would not even cooperate with him!

When we decided to buy an LG refrigerator, we considered the options they had and the style. We looked at other brands before we decided on this one too. Anyway, I like the French door, however were not very happy with the appliance because its only been three years and its not cooling. There was something going on about the compressor having problems with this particular model that we bought, but the problem we had was a leak on the evap. coil. We called LG directly and they sent someone out to fix it, which is good. The contractor was good and they fixed the problem.

Still under warranty my refrigerator stopped working after five months. Ive had repair people at my house eight times now in a four month period. Today the repair person walked into my house without knocking or ringing the doorbell. My dog stopped him about 5 feet from the front entrance way. The service call for today was for the repair person to tell me only that the part is on order. Again LG wasted my time. I asked the repair person, Why did you come to my house to tell me this, you couldve called!!! The customer service and the repair people at LG are not trained and do not know how to handle the customers nor does the company know how to stand by their product.I am asking my credit card company to dispute the charge because LG sold me a product that does not work. LG is now lying. Setting appointments without my knowledge. Their documentation is not correct and they say I am canceling my appointment. Executive desk also lies and makes up information and incorrect documentation. One person said that she would send me $150 for my food replacement. Later found out thats no such policy. My refrigerator stopped working December 2016 and it is now beginning of April 2017. My Refrigerator is still broke.

Purchased a freezer on the bottom, French door on top refrigerator that ran for six months. When I called LG to repair, I was told originally that I was not in their repair area (A&E). After much discussion, they decided to send someone out (from Sears, not A&E) and my earliest appointment was three weeks away. I had to rent a refrigerator. When they called to say they would be there after lunch, I made the wrong assumption that it would be at least 12:30 to 1:00 pm. Wrong, they got there at 12:15, I did not get there until 12:30 after leaving work. I was not aware that 12:15 was considered after lunch. They would not come back and now I had to wait another three weeks for someone. Again they will not tell me what time they will arrive, just between 8 and 5, even though I requested an afternoon appointment rather than take off all day from work. Very unsatisfied with the service of the refrigerator and the service of their outside repair contractor. If parts have to be ordered, it will be additional time on top of the six weeks I have already waited.

My 9 1/2 month old top of the line LG washer died. It took 12 days for service. I was told a part needed to be ordered before a service visit could be made. Unsure how you can assess a problem without seeing the unit. Service man arrived from Tresco out of Ft Wayne IN. The first thing he did was open up the unit when 4-6 gallons of water flew out and went under my floating floor. Of course he didnt have parts! The final straw was when he complained he had to drive 2 hours to get to my house. Spent countless hours trying to get service and was informed after 3 weeks that the warranty was canceled and they would not honor any repair. Their rationale was I washed a rug in the unit. Worst customer service I have ever received and will never purchase anything LG again. The service is horrible and their warranty isnt worth the paper it is written on!

Within 6 weeks of purchase, our washer would not turn on. We followed online instructions for a hard reset and were able to keep the machine running for a few weeks, then that process no longer worked. We called LG who scheduled technician. Purchase date July 26, first repair was mid September. Panel replaced. Washer worked for 4 loads and stopped turning on again. We called a second time. A week later a Tech came. He could not diagnose the problem even with another tech on the phone. Ultimately reported back to LG that our outlet was faulty or not properly grounded. We KNEW this was untrue because we had our electric upgraded years ago. We could not get another tech out until we proved we had proper electric. We paid out of pocket $170 for an electrician to come and test our outlet and amperage. There was NOTHING wrong with our home wiring. He suggested was a cord issue. We reported this to LG agents and were told a tech would come back with cord and replace. Tech came a week later. NO cord had been ordered. We were told it was on back order. This was third visit. Our original call to agents informed us that 3 calls to the home and our appliance would be replaced. That was third visit. (And it occurred on Oct 15 which was over a month without a washing machine.) We were told cord was on back order and would not be available until some time early November. Every time we called (four times) we were told something different about when the part would be available. The technician told us he would recommend replacement. He requested copy of receipt. We sent texted image to tech and assumed all was in place. Two weeks later, on Oct. 30 I called again for an update. I was told (after speaking to THREE DIFFERENT AGENTS) that the tech had not submitted recommendation for replacement.Agent contacted tech who said we had not provided receipt of purchase. I was also told by agent Arthur that the part on back order had in fact been sent to the technician on Oct. 23rd. (Per Arthur this came from Jamie in parts dept.) I demanded replacement. Was told to upload receipt to a portal emailed to me (which I did) and a replacement review would be implemented. Per agent Ivan this would take about 5 business days. The next day the technician called and wanted to schedule a Saturday visit for repair, because miraculously he did in fact have the part after all. My husband and I were both unable to be home, he worked and my father is seriously ill) so we declined that Saturday repair. I also was afraid that if he came out and was still unable to repair the washer it would cancel the process in motion for a replacement.I also reported this conversation to Ivan, as he called me back that same Thursday to check in and inform me that he had received my uploaded document as requested. He agreed that another repair attempt may further muddy the situation. Six business days later I called LG again and spoke to agent Mary. She said the technician had submitted a recommendation but not a request and the process had to begin again. I was furious. It was now one week into November and I am still paying for laundromat services to have clean clothes WHILE making payments to Lowes for the non working washer. Ultimately, I called from another phone to the tech on speaker (his number was on his business card) while agent Mary was on the other phone on speaker and insisted they speak to each other. The tech said he had done everything he was supposed to do and was tired of people dragging him back into the situation. He hung up on me (the tech) and Mary the agent was very apologetic but had no recourse besides starting over with the replacement appeal. The next day, the technician called my husband and said he could come that very day and replace the cord. (Funny how when people are forced to communicate in front of the customer, miracles happen.)My husband allowed him to come. He replaced the top selection panel, the front panel and the power cord. He said if the washer stops working now we will have to get it replaced because there is nothing left to repair. That was November 7th. One week later, the washer is functioning properly and I am still catching up on my wash. This took from September 12 to Nov 7th --FIFTY SIX DAYS (almost two full months, and nearly twice as long as we owned the washer before it stopped working), four technician visits, three parts replaced, out of pocket cost for an electrician to test our power (though we knew that was not the issue) and at LEAST 12 CALLS to LG to resolve.I have been a home owner since 1991. NEVER EVER in my life have I experienced more frustration in dealing with customer service. After the second unsuccessful attempt to repair an BRAND NEW washing machine we should have been offered a hassle free replacement. LG not only sells a product they cant repair, they have no willingness to make things right with their customers. I will tell everyone I know about this experience and discourage them from purchasing any product LG makes. I will never even CONSIDER their products in the future. Lifes Good ?? Not for LG customers.

LG Washing Machine Product WT1101CW: 1st-DO NOT BUY ANY LG!!! THEY ARE LEMONS!!! We purchased an LG Washing Machine and Dryer from Best Buy on 11/16/2012. I am writing this review on 9/28/16. I have had to have a repairman out twice and the long and short of it is the transmission & electric board went at the tune of $533.00 for parts and labor. Um I paid $629 for the machine new. I called LG several times. The 1st few times they said there was nothing they could do. Wrong answer! So I called a 3rd time & they offered me an extended warranty on parts and labor for 1 year for that repair for $385.00. So they would charge me more than half of what I paid for it??? No thanks. There is no telling what else will go wrong with it. Its a ripoff when you pay over $600 for a washing machine and it doesnt even LAST 4 YEARS. I read numerous complaints about LG like mine and worse. If we quit buying these lemons they will either have to make a better product or go out of business. Gotta go time to get on Consumer Reports and fork more $$ for a new one. Lets just hope it will last at least 5 years.

We purchased our fridge in Nov 2018. In March 2020 the freezer stopped freezing and the fridge stopped cooling. We have had 3 tech come in March to service our fridge on 3 separate occasions in order to evaluate our fridge. Each one said that our fridge just needed a software update. We have asked about getting our compressor replaced or them just replacing our unit and each time they refused because the techs state that the problem is the software. Its now June and our fridge just stopped working again today. Ive been on the phone for over an hour to speak with a manager. Im so frustrated with the amount of time and money that we have wasted with this product and company. All I want now is my money back for the product but they are telling me the same tech has to come out and do an evaluation of our fridge again! Never ever purchase an LG refrigerator. They company will do nothing to fix or even attempt to rectify an issue with their products.

This dishwasher was bought April 2013 and since we got it, it has smelled. First like something burning then like garage and it still continues to this day. Service men tried to tell us that it was just new, then to use vinegar and open the door when finishing a load. It still smells and we are so sorry we bought the three LG products. Fridge, washer and dishwasher. On the cup I rubbed my thumb and you can see how easy the stain comes off. The bowl needed a little more effort, but it cant clean fresh chocolate pudding from a dish. The washer has a gap where it makes the cloths move that is too big and coins get caught and rips the cloths.

Purchased LGs gas oven, in part for its brilliant blue interior. Well within the first year of use, the interior base shelf had corroded, as if some solvent had been applied to remove the paint. Since I never bake citric foods (no lasagna, no fruit pies), I could not explain how this ugly disfiguring of the interior of the oven could have occurred. Running ones hands over the surface, it feels like sandpaper.Additionally, the internal temperature is approximately 25 degrees off, based on an oven temperature gauge purchased to check the ovens accuracy. Both of these problems bring into question the overall integrity of this LG gas oven. I would not recommend anyone purchase an LG appliance.

This is the 4th appliance (6 in total) that is nothing but crap! The model # LRE30453SB is the range that we own! I have had a technician out 4 times in 7 months to fix problems! The sensor has been replaced twice and the brain box once, and last week (11/8/2012), they were back again because of the same problem (sensor). This time, they put goop in the back of it to keep it from making the sensor noise. All I want is to have decent appliances! Luckily for me, this range has an extended warranty! My fridge wasnt so lucky. Well, I should say we are so lucky - $500 in medicine and food wasted! LG doesnt care! They wont do anything! The list goes on and on for ** appliances! The dryer and washer have both had to have repairs to them within the first year; the range, 4 times in 7 months. Now the fridge! Something needs to be done! This is a lot of money that I dont have to replace the food lost, and potentially new fridge! Do something.

I bought this very top of the line energy efficient LG washer and dryer for over $2,500. I wanted to be environmentally considerate. But now I have to wash my cloth 2 or 3 times to get them clean. The washer does not allow enough water to the cloth to get them even fully wet. The sports clothes of my teenager still smells bad after 2 wash. When I called the company they send out a technician that did literally nothing but read the error codes to someone over the phone and then told me that the machines are not meant to give water to get the cloth soaked and hence my cloth cannot get clean! If it bothers me that much I should consider buying a top loader that will allow enough water to get into machine to actually wash my cloth. I dont even want to start talking about the washer bouncing around and not getting balanced. I had someone 3 times here to try to balance the machine so it does not make all this noise but then was told that my floor is not leveled and this is the best they can do. This is the worst machine ever and I feel I was ripped off! NEVER again a LG in my house!

UPDATE- LG did send a repairperson on August 2nd and a new compressor was replaced. I was told this refrigerator has defective compressors. A&E repair sent the new compressor prior to the repair date so it would be here and I wouldnt have to wait for it to be ordered and wait even more time, which I was very grateful for. I am now waiting for LG to call me for compensation to a French Door refrigerator that was full of food that was lost due to this problem not to mention the inconvenience this has caused. Thank you LG for coming through. I wish you would have been as attentive to my 52 tv when that went not even 2 years old.

So no big surprise based upon the various reviews concerning LG refrigerator performance. Yes our LG refrigerator stopped working so we called a local repairmen who diagnosis the issue as a compressor failure (which seems to be a common problem), but due to the labor cost and after considerable effort we got LG to send their own technician to come out on their cost to fix the problem. The technician was great and after repairing the compressor and the evaporator (also faulty) we thought all was good. Unfortunately the fridge still didnt work so he returned and after numerous hours and effort he informed us that oil had entered into the lines and there was nothing else to do but submit a request to LG for a reimbursement. We are currently waiting and cannot get any info concerning our status and whether we should keep the fridge to return and that reimbursement process may take up to 4 to 6 weeks for a prorated reimbursement amount. So we have already have waited six weeks without a fridge and will potentially need to wait another six weeks before we have closure and honestly Im not too optimistic based upon the length of time and the ambiguity that each person gives us on the phone. Although each customer service rep is nice it is unfortunate that LG does not give the autonomy to make a decision even when their own repairmen have given forth their assessment. I realize that products fail but when there is an obvious trend LG should be fast recognize and not strong their patrons along. Its just bad business.

Never... Ever... Never will I buy another LG washing machine it is terrible. It constantly gives a UE message even though the machine is level and we have done all the tricks that others have suggested. My water bill is high because the machine continues to fill and spin... fill and spin. You cant leave the house when washing clothes because you need to babysit the washing machine. It is the worst machine ever. I will never buy another LG product because of it. We will have owned it 2 years this coming June. It was been completely replaced once. Computer board replaced once, and worked on three additional times. NOT ACCEPTABLE. DO NOT BUY LG.

DO NOT BUY LG refrigerator!!! The compressor on ours failed literally after 11 months and after 2 months of waiting for repair, theyre still trying to re-fix it with absolute disregard for any sensible customer care. LG does not even have their own people for repairs, they contracted another company so it is the blame game and you will never get an answer of when or if the refrigerator will ever be repaired. You will never be able to replace it even if it is under warranty with less than a year in use. LG will make sure you will receive their run around, at least thats our experience. Bottom line, the process of dealing with LG has been a nightmare and customers are on their own. LG does not care since they have already collected their money! Our floor was completely ruined the underlayment as well. No one here (Marthas Vineyard) will service LG machines. Were going to dump the machine... Biggest waste of money. I purchased an expensive LG French door refrigerator. The compressor is guaranteed for 10 years and in just 3 years it has gone out. No authorized repair person in our area so the repair person started the lengthy process of getting authorization to repair my refrigerator and have a compressor sent to him. After more than a week, LG said there was a typo on the authorization and it needed to be started again. Another 3 days and he received an email. He attempts to order the part after waiting on hold for more than 40 minutes. The part is on back order. Refused to say for how long but when I called the parts department myself they said it was at least a month before they even get them in stock to start filling orders. The executive department now says it all starts from the date the order was placed so it is too soon to do anything further. Refuse to put in writing the date the part is expected. They say they arent required to do so. LG has made an inferior compressor, many, many going out, and then have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have never had a bigger runaround in all my life. In the meantime, I have no refrigerator, just a huge expensive piece of something in my kitchen.

I purchased an LG kitchen suite from Costco because of the ratings and reputation of both companies. After less than 2 years we started having issues with the food not being cold. We ran all diagnostics and it said nothing was wrong. Now, a little over 3 years later, the freezer and fridge do not work. The repairman gave us a quote that was higher than the price of a new fridge, which I can’t afford. I just don’t understand how the compressor died so quickly. And according to the repairman, the unit will never be the same even after repairing this part. With all the issues with COVID-19, the loss of all the food is difficult since it’s hit or miss if I’ll be able to get the stuff I need for my family of 6. What am I supposed to do now?!?!

On 3/5/16 while cooking a potato in my microwave, the unit started on fire. The microwave shut off and I needed to wait for the fire to burn out before opening the door. It was obvious the unit was irreparable. I contacted LG Customer Service in 3/7/16. At first, they tried to tell me I was to blame. Misuse of an appliance because I placed the potato on a paper towel. The manual states a paper towel, paper napkin, paper plate are ALL acceptable. The CSR refused to believe me until she read it herself. Finally, she agreed I was NOT at fault and told me someone would be in touch with me within the next 10 business days. I uploaded photos of the damage as requested. 10 days later a rep from LG Property and Liability contacted me. Please upload more photos, which I did. Was there any other damage? No. Any loss of life due to the fire? No. Okay, well theres nothing I can do. Youll have to go back to Customer Service. Now Im back to where I started again facing questions about misuse because of the paper towel. I was advised I would need to pay for an LG technician to come to my house to determine if it was repairable or a total loss. I didnt think I should be expected to pay for the technician since I already knew its a total loss and the photos support that. I asked for a manager. Theresa got on the line and told me the same thing except she said I would need the microwave receipt to show the technician. I explained this microwave along with a refrigerator and stove were purchased by the former homeowner just prior to my purchasing the home 3 years ago, so I did not have the receipt. Well, there is NOTHING I can do for you. Youre not the original owner. So after their appliance starts a fire, and 3 weeks of answering their questions, uploading photos, waiting for their assistance, I was advised Im on my own. They will do nothing for me.

Good luck on the 4 year extended warranty because LG sends someone out to look at the problem. They call tech help and say the problem is not covered under the warranty. Does anyone know how to fight LG on this problem? It seems there are enough of us who are fed up with their products. I also have a LG French Door that has a foul odor as well. We purchased a $2700 LFX33975ST piece of junk in 2014. The first repair for an error code resulted in a non-working fridge for 3 months because the part was on back-order and cost us over $500 to repair. Three months later the freezer is working but the fridge will not cool below 46 degrees. The repair shop spent over 90 minutes on the phone with an LG technician discussing possible solutions. 1 - Replace the main motherboard ($200) plus installation. 2 - Replace the thermistor. The technician did not recommend any of those solutions because there is some underlying issue with ALL of these refrigerators that they are not telling us. I have checked the fan (working), the fuse on the circuit board (good), and the compressor (working). Ultimately, the suggestion from BOTH LG and my repair shop BUY A NEW FRIDGE BUT NOT LG or SAMSUNG.

We purchased a counter-depth LG French Door unit from Lowes about 5 years ago with a 3-year service agreement. Because LG doesnt make as many counter depth compared to standard depth, it cost more (~$3000). Cosmetically and storage-wise, we were quite happy with it, but early in the first year we noticed that ice was building up behind the left bottom storage drawer. Lowes repairman replaced the entire rear fan/control unit, explaining that if we didnt have the service contract it would have cost us about $500.Unfortunately 2-more service calls by 2 different organizations were required in the first 3-years --- all for the same ice problem! We then purchased a 1-year extension for the service agreement because it was obvious that our $3000 fridge had a problem no one seemed to be able to fix. We were correct, because we had more ice in that year.Numerous calls and emails to LG and Lowes during these 5-years got us little more than asking for more and more details about previous repairs. They also referred us to someone to repair it. They all tried, replacing more pieces and parts. Finally, a few months ago when ice again recurred we spent $90 for another LG expert to review our issue. They told us LG had issued some sort of bulletin about this problem, and for another $500 for the part, plus labor, they could fix it. At this point we had already spent at least $750 and dozens of hours trying to fix a $3000 fridge and had no confidence anyone could repair it properly, so this afternoon our new Frigidaire will be installed and the LG hauled away; and Im writing this review. I purchased this LG refrigerator on 7/9/2014 delivered it on 7/15/2014. From day 1 the fan made terrible noise. Called LG 2 weeks after I bought and they make you do that self diagnosis. The customer service person on the other end after being on the phone for 55 minutes tells me there is nothing wrong. I hung up and decided to live with it. After about 2 months of that then I started having trouble with the ice maker not making ice again. I called to be told to do that diagnosis then they tell me that I dont have enough water pressure for the ice maker but it worked with the water pressure to that day. And they tell you if they come out and its what they said they will charge you for the service call. Well again I gave up. A few more months go by and now the freezer will not freeze my food and I lose a whole bunch of food. I call. They send someone out that tell that I am leaving the freezer door open but they replace the grill assembly in the freezer that lasts for another month. Again the freezer stops freezing and they send someone different. Same thing is told to me. Im leaving the door open but again he replaces the grill assembly. Well that only lasted a month. Now the freezer, ice maker and the fridge are all not working. I call again on a Thursday. I have lost everything in the fridge and freezer. They call the repair guy who cannot come out for 7 days. He shows up to tell me he now needs to replace the main board and defrost control and that will take 3-5 more days. No refrigerator for 2 weeks and LG tells me thats the best they can do. I am very upset about this because to me this was a warning sign of future expectations of this refrigerator. Since the refrigerator was still under the manufacturer warranty they sent someone out to inspect. As a result of service call they replaced the compressor. I requested a replacement refrigerator because I felt that I had received a “lemon” but LG refused to accommodate my request. Here it is 2 weeks later and my refrigerator has died again. I lost my food again. I called and complained again but LG would like to send someone out to inspect refrigerator again. I am very unhappy that my dream refrigerator has turned into my worst nightmare. What happened to the refrigerators that use to last 20 years or more? We have a 25 cubic foot stainless steel side by side refrigerator, 3 1/2 years old. On the 8th we noticed the freezer wasnt freezing (thought we had left the door open), but on the 9th we noticed water on the floor from the ice melting, called Sears where we purchased it and got the name of 2 service techs. The next day he came out and said the compressor had gone out (he mentioned that LG is known for this, and GOOD LUCK with service from them), he gave us a quote to fix it, said for what it would cost it would be better to get a new one. The next day we went to Sears to look for a new one, found out through them that the refrigerator was 100% warranty from LG on parts and labor, so we went home and called LG the next day. By this time we have lost hundreds of dollars in meat and other items out of the fridge and freezer. After contacting LG and talking with an agent, and letting them know we had a compressor go out (let me tell you, every time I talk with a new one, and every time the language barrier makes the communication hard), anyway they said they would get a service call right out. That was on Monday the 13th, I did not hear from them so I called back, and again no service scheduled, the agent said they would expedite and get a service request. On Thursday the 15th, I got an email that we would have a service call on Friday. Friday morning I called A&E service to verify the service and time, they had NO record of a service call. So I called LG and they told me to call A &E myself to schedule, so I did, well A & E says they cant set it up because its under warranty and I have to go through LG, so I call LG back again. I was on the phone for 51 minutes (mostly on hold) with a Michael, results, they will expedite, give them 2-3 business days.On 4-21 called LG to see where we were, was told that A & E has scheduling issues, give them 2-3 business days. Called LG on 4-24, same thing, give them 2-3 days, but this time they offered to pay up to $200.00 for a refrigerator rental. I declined, one, doubt this would pay for a rental for as long as this is taking, and two, we lost everything when it went, so basically living on the basics to get by, NEVER thought it would take this long. I asked for corporate phone number, but forgot this was suppose to be a manager I was talking with, so I was given a phone number and it was the 1st number I ever called for the service, this person hung up on me.Called the corporate number back 256-612-5359. Talked with Rads, while on the phone with me he called A& E and told me that A & E accepted a work order for the repair, but have no record of it, so HE IS GOING TO EXPEDITE THIS TO CORPORATE OFFICE,, GIVE THEM ANOTHER 2-3 DAYS to get a response. However he did offer because of my issues they would authorize a local service repair and pay for the parts, we pay the service and labor and they would reimburse us up to $450.00. I passed on that option, if they reimburse as fast as they get service I may never see the money, and at this point in all of this, I do not trust them. I feel all I have got is a run around and a way of them hoping we will go buy a new refrigerator and drop the repair claim. Not gonna happen.P.S. when we were looking at Sears in the beginning, was looking at a Kenmore Elite, however now that I know it is made by LG, there is no way I would buy it. Our original local service man that we had, told us good luck with LG, obviously this is their normal customer service. We have become a disposable society, and nothing last like it use to, but when you spend $1500.00 on a refrigerator it should last more than 3 1/2 years, and if it still is covered under warranty, you shouldnt have to go through what I have. I would not recommend anything LG, if this is how they take care of their customers.

Model WT4970CW LG WaveForce True Balance. Just read several complaints about the LG washing machine. Bought in June 2013 from Best Buy and has consistently had an EU error on more than off. Tried balancing it with a leveler but as soon as it didnt like a load (light loads mostly), it would rattle loudly and move!!! Yes I put up with it for this long but when I went to ConsumerAffairs and saw all the complaints on this model. I called LG who promptly told me it was out of warranty and I could buy a one year warranty for $349.00 or a 60 day warranty for $224.00. After reading the continuing problems after repair, we are going to put this money into a new washer. Im going back to Maytag. Had it for over 15 years and never a problem!!! I agree LG=lousy garbage. This appliance needs to be taken off the market!!!

We purchased the LG WM3700HWA front loading washing machine to replace an earlier model that had begun leaking after 11 years of use. This is a workhorse as we have 3 adults and three boys ages 5-9 that keep the laundry running 2-3 times per day. We are very satisfied with the performance and clothes come out clean... Most of the factory set cycles are perfect for our needs. We highly recommend this washing machine.

Husband and I purchased a LG dryer model # DLEX3570W two and a half months
Husband and I purchased a LG dryer model # DLEX3570W two and a half months ago from Conns Appliances and noticed the print around the settings was just wiping off. One side is gone and the other side is smearing. This is a front loader dryer and wasnt cheap. We also purchased the matching washer. The washer print settings are fine so far. We owned LG washer and dryer before this set and although the washer failed after about 4 years, due to pricing we thought we would give it another try. We called LG over the print coming off and sent them photos. They said it wasnt covered under warranty because it is cosmetic. My husband explained to them that it wasnt cosmetic when it affects whether or not you can see what setting that you are setting the dryer on. They said that they wouldnt cover it and that was that, basically. My husband called Conns Appliances and didnt receive any help for them either, even after telling them that he was going to have them come and pick up their junk. LG tried to say that we must have cleaned it with a harsh chemical. I read on a review somewhere back in 2007 they tried to tell the same thing to another woman. Warranty says any defect in materials or workmanship. This is a defect. Im nearly 60 years old and have owned washers and dryers all of my adult life and have never had the settings print come off. I dont care how long that I had owned it. Thinking of getting a lawyer.

I bought a French Door refrigerator in June of 2016. It completely stopped cooling in August of 2018. Called LG who sent me through some basic troubleshooting and gave me phone numbers to technicians that arent helpful. One sound sketchy (answers the phone Hello) and insisted I make an appointment thru a non-existent website or send an email to his Gmail. One said they wont service my town. One has yet to call me back. I called a reputable but non-LG-authorized repair service who said it would cost $1,200 for a new compressor and I would have to deal with LG myself (I think to buy the compressor). Given the reviews about back ordered parts, and lack of authorized techs, Im left to wonder how long I wait for the other technician to call me back, argue in vain with LG or just buy a new refrigerator. Very open to joining a class action lawsuit. I certainly dont make enough money to replace expensive items every two years. Reading up on refrigerators, old fashioned top freezer refrigerators are a whole lot cheaper and fail less often.

I bought this expensive refrigerator 4 years ago thinking that the more you spend the more reliable. However so untrue. Last year during thanksgiving It broke down. I bought an extra warranty but LG said the compressor was not warranted and I’d have to pay for it myself. I paid for it alright. Ever since the compressor went out I’ve had to pay for a repair man to come to fix it 4 times now. I came home yesterday and found water on the floor. For as much as I have paid on repairs I could have had a brand new refrigerator. So now I’m going to be wise and stay away from LG.

We purchased a new flat top stove, microwave oven, dishwasher and refrigerator 3 years ago, all LG products. Within the first 18 months, the lights on the stove (clock, temp, etc) started going out. When we inquired about getting it corrected, we were told it would cost more than replacing!! WHO DOES THAT?? Next at about the 3 year mark, the damn over range microwave just quit heating! Overall the LG appliances are pretty but inferior. I will share my experience and opinion with everyone I know and I will never recommend LG appliances to anyone!!! DEAR LG, Real working people cannot afford to replace big ticket items every 2 or 3 years... Where is your quality? Integrity? Pride in workmanship?

We bought a top load LG Direct Drive Inverter HE washing machine almost 18 months ago. The washing machine was supposed to be efficient on use of water and electricity. From the beginning we have not been able to complete ANY load without getting UE (uneven load) multiple times. The washer has been checked for level and balance and even with just an empty load it continues to get an UE code. Water usage has gone up as it never completes a load without going in UE mode multiple times. Electricity use has gone up. We cannot leave this washing machine and never expect for the load to complete. All settings have been tested and it makes no difference if a small or large load. WORST washing machine we have ever owned and will never buy an LG again. We were told when we purchased it from Home Depot it was a top of the line. It will be getting junked out this week and we will be purchasing another machine. Not LG and not from Home Depot. Apparently this is a known issue but there is no resolution and no compensation for those of us that have battled these machines over the last 12-24 months or longer.

We bought an LG French door refrigerator in late 2017 and it worked without too many major issues, until October of 2020. In October, it suddenly stopped cooling. We called LG to have repairs made under the 3 year warranty. After many delays, they found a repair company in our area to come out to do the repair. They said it was the compressor, ordered a new one and replaced it. The refrigerator still doesnt work. We have been without a refrigerator now for over two months (for a four person household). I have called LG nearly every day, for the past 6 weeks. I have been elevated to the Executive Service response team. What a joke. I receive a different answer every time I call. After about a month of trying to find an authorized repair person to look at the refrigerator again, LG finally agreed to simply submit a claim for Alternate resolution; i.e. replacing the refrigerator. The claim has been submitted now at least 4 times; there is still no decision on whether or not they will honor our warranty. Every time I call (nearly every day now) I am provided with another excuse as to why there is no decision. This has been the worst consumer experience of my life.

If I could I would have NO STAR - We’ve had nothing but bad luck with our LG appliances- first of all our dishwasher -the control panel went haywire 5 months after we got it- well that happened 2 more times since. When we built our home we also bought an LG gas range, refrigerator and microwave. So last year we went to Alaska and when we came home in August the stove control panel also had gone haywire. You cannot properly read the numbers that tell you the temperature/time so when you set the temperature you have no idea what youre setting it to. Called LG and after hours on the phone with them to get it repaired they did NOTHING. Our cost to find out by the repairman (we paid for) that to fix it we would spend more than what a new oven would cost. It is barely over a year old and possibly failed prior to being a year old! 2 days ago we woke up to our LG French door refrigerator inside as warm as our room temperature and everything inside ruined. It is just barely 2 years old! Called LG for repairs- ended up having to get our own repair guy, and it has a bad compressor, won’t read codes, and needs a new control board. The repairman said it’s an extensive repair and could possibly fail again easily (read class action law suit on them). Called LG back and now we have to wait to hear from Service Power to see if anyone can fix it. They offered NOTHING for the loss of food but would send us up to $200 for a mini fridge- and he’d send us an email for doing so- still waiting for that. These appliances cost thousands of dollars! Buyer Beware!!! They are junk!

The technician I worked with was the ONLY one available in my area. He had a personal emergency the day he was supposed to service my unit again, which meant I was out of luck. I had friends and relatives who spoke quite highly of LG. And because I trust their judgment, I decided to heed their recommendation. And Im so very glad that I did, because my experience with LG has been nothing short of wonderful so far. Spacious freezer, sleek design, compact, portable and ease of use is off the charts. Indeed, most of the features are satisfactory and I can think of few, if any, that arent. Though the bottom shelves are somewhat small for my liking. Theres too little room to store all of the cheeses, cold cuts, etc. That we consume as a family. But thats obviously a very small inconvenience.

At less than 2 year of age my LG top-load washer malfunctioned and flooded my house. According to the washer repairman their assembly was such that the washer pressure sensor hose was wrapped around an arm and the vibration caused it to come loose, resulting in the washers inability to sense the water level - so it just kept filling. Not only did LG not stand behind my nearly new washer, this machine is pure junk. I know to watch and check that hose frequently although I can say its never had another issue with the assembly correction. Problem is it just doesnt clean. The water level varies such between loads that I always stand there to make sure enough water flows in to actual get all the items wet. I realize one of the so-called features is less water usage....but seriously if they dont get wet, its hard to clean. I noticed my whites and bright colors look dingy after a few washes, so I started watch closely - this is how I discovered the water issue. I now wash my clothes 2-3 times to get them clean enough...thats sad. I HATE this LG and will never purchase another of their products.

After using LG washer WM4270HWA several months, the ink writing is coming off from the washers front panel and front panel buttons. Please look at the attached picture. The panel was not cleaned using any cleaners. The only explanation is there can be some detergent residue on the fingers after loading the detergent (coming from the detergent bottle or cup). It will dissolve the ink. This is the design problem since it has to be assumed that you are dealing with detergent and LG could cover the front panel writing with transparent plastic or film as they actually do on Power and Start/Pause buttons, proving that they are fully aware of the problem. They could use other inks or just glue the stickers that can be replaced later. Unfortunately, they didnt think much about it and went with the cheapest solution, and this is not the cheapest washer model. Finally, they refused to replace the panel saying it is a cosmetic damage. However when all letters will be gone how to select the washing options? It will be a functional issue. Having extended warranty is not helping either, Home Depot, where the washer was bought, is saying the same. One of their suggestions is to take a marker and write on the panel. Ridiculous nonsense. Be aware.

My husband and I purchased a brand new LG fridge through Sears only FOUR MONTHS ago. One month after purchase it started making noise, which has increased to the point where it is loud buzzing and rattling. We went to Sears and were told we should have purchased the warranty; they wont honor even a 4-month old bad appliance that they carry in their own stores. They called LG company for us and we are STILL waiting to hear from them, but Im not optimistic. The Sears rep told us that LG is notorious for not responding or fixing problems. We live in a small town, and there is no LG repairman locally; so we have to try to get someone up here from miles away. Not optimistic THAT is going to fly with LG. Furthermore, I do not like being FORCED to buy a warranty in order to pay for bad equipment only months old...its rather like having to pay protection money to keep thugs from destroying your home. Will NEVER buy a LG product again after our experience and reading other complaints similar to ours. We are going to try to see if local repairman can fix the problem and just pay for it as the costs projected for an LG repairman to come up here are exorbitant, and we learned from the Sears that LG almost never sends a repairman to our town. Our frustration and anger over this lousy appliance isnt worth waiting and arguing for months with LG Company. We are also frustrated with Sears for carrying a product with so many problems...

When my wife and I purchased our LG washer and dryer from Best Buy in highland, Indiana, our sales rep informed us that installers could switch latch and hinge side of doors upon delivery. When our machines were delivered, installer was able to give us a left side hinge, as we desired on our dryer. However, we were informed that washer was not so adaptable. Purchased a side-by-side refrigerator for $1499 from Home Depot in February 2013 and began using it in April, when our house was finished being built. On August 9, 2013, the refrigerator stopped cooling. We called LG and were told that we had to call back 24 hours later to confirm that the problem still existed. We called back after 24 hours to make a repair appointment, but the only places that would service LG in our area were backed up a week each, not because there were few repair places, but because very few places are willing to work on LG. When the repairman came out a week later, he verified that the compressor needed replacement but suggested contacting Home Depot to try get a new refrigerator through them before ordering the part, because once the part is ordered, there would be no chance of having HD help us. A very nice woman at Home Depot then spent the entire day on the phone with LG trying to get a replacement, to no avail. When I called LG back again to order the compressor for repair, I was told that I had to make another diagnostic appt, since the original repairman didnt order the part. I am told it will be 2 more weeks until the refrigerator is fixed. It has been 2 weeks since it has broken. Thats 4 weeks without a fridge. I have called 9 times to LG, 7 times to repair places, spoke to 2 managers at LG executive services (one manager, operator Sherry ID# ** told me that the failure of the compressor is not LGs fault!). In all, this is the worst appliance I have owned and the customer service team is useless. Save yourself the trouble and stress, do not buy an LG appliance.

I have a maintenance agreement with an outside company for all my appliances and home. I called them. They said the main board is no good and I would have to pay the deductible for the part. I called LG and asked if they would cover the part. I was approved, but then they kept changing the rules. One rep said they would send it out to me. Then the next time I called, they said I would have to use their company for repair which would cost me $250. When I got the manager (who was so rude and could not care less), said she would send it directly to my maintenance company. Then the next time I called to see if the part was sent out, she said the maintenance company would have to call for the part. When I told her the company wont do that because LG wants them to insure the part, LG said there was nothing they can do. Their customer service is awful. How can the main board on the refrigerator go in less than 4 years? Their products are junk. I will now have to pay for the part I was approved for. What a horrible company. Never buy LG products!

Thousands of dollars in damage! We purchased LG model lfx25971sb with french doors and an external ice delivery system. The initial problems, within a week of delivery, were with the ice maker that was constantly messing up, leaking, not working. The list of problems with the ice dispenser are numerous. The next issue came in about 11 months when I noticed that the cabinet next to the unit was showing cracks in the finish. These are maple. Perplexed, I pulled the unit out and found that a small pin-hole had burst on the water line leading up to the dreaded ice maker. The hardwood floor underneath was stained and buckling so the leak had been there for awhile. With both of these service issues, I got horrible customer service from LG. With regard to the water line needing repair, my cost. Then on Sunday, while walking across my kitchen floor, I nearly tripped over the buckled wood floor at least 5 feet from the unit. Now, it was gushing water from underneath! The service guy that showed up today said a valve blew out and that it is not covered by the warranty. This wreck of a machine has ruined my kitchen floor and the poor excuse for a company will not do a thing about it. Repair bill around $180; floor and cabinet repair, thousands. I also purchased a washer/dryer set. It took four months to get the washer working. This time they finally owned up to the problem and replaced a part but four months before, it never worked.

They said once received, a manager would review to determine if they would extend the warranty, which would allow for the top to be replaced. No call back. Called again a week later--same story, but never a call back. Called again a week later, and demanded to get this resolved. After waiting for 40 minutes on hold, it was denied. I said that was not acceptable as this is common complaint about this washer, etc. I demanded to talk to a supervisor. After about another 20-25 minutes, a supervisor approved the warranty extension, and scheduled a service call to replace the top. A new top is being shipped in time for the service call. Hopefully the replacement top has been redesigned around the bleach cup!!To those of you who said they denied your claim, do not give up! Demand to talk to a higher up person! I also told them I would be going to Home Depot to complain and every time I was there I would drop a picture of the rusted washer into every LG washer on display!

So disgusted with my LG Top Load Washer purchase. Bought 5 years ago. Never have thought my clothes were getting clean, but 2 years ago we went on vacation for 3 months. After coming home I started to get a rash. Over this time it has gotten so bad I have gone to 2 specialists. I use the cleaning tablets like I am suppose to and the washer appears to be clean. I take the dispenser out once a month and clean it in bleach. Lately I have noticed it has black mold on it. Today I inspected the place where it slides in and it is black with mold. Got some mold cleaner and sprayed up into it, but black mold keeps coming out from up inside. No wonder my family is having issues. This thing is leaving my house and going straight to the junkyard. BUYER BEWARE. Purchased at H. H. Gregg, Greenwood, IN (out of business).

New LG Washer Never worked. Leaks and jumps around in spin cycle. This new washer has never successfully washed one load of clothes. The first time we tried to wash a load of clothes, it flooded our washroom. When it entered it spin cycle, it jumped around on the floor and hit the dryer. We contacted Home Depot (where we purchased it along with matching dryer and extended warranties). They immediately started putting us off on a repair shop, LG, and had the delivery company insurance take responsibility for the flooding. The repair shop is so busy that we were not able to get an appointment for 3 weeks. They have tried to repair this washer four times UNSUCCESSFULLY. Each time it takes two to three weeks for the next service appointment.LG does not want to bear any responsibility for producing a faulty, dangerous washer. Each time we try to speak with them they never return calls or put us off on Home Depot, who put us off on them and the Repair company. This is a new Washer that has never washed a load of clothes with an extended warranty. This has been the worst customer service experience we have ever had and the fact that it has come from two major Companies (LG and Home Depot) is really surprising. Note: we have another appointment scheduled a week from now (some progress). Washer - WM3370HRA, Dryer - DLEX3370R.

We were looking around and doing some research a few years ago when we bought our first LG fridge. And in that process, we found that we liked the design and the products that they offered. But our most recent refrigerator has been nothing but a nightmare. It keeps failing constantly. And now, LG’s saying they won’t replace it unless I have the original receipt. So now, we’re stuck with a broken refrigerator till I can potentially find a way to get a receipt. I’m extremely likely to go to a different competitor after this experience. We really enjoyed the product, and they were aesthetically pleasing, but a refrigerator’s supposed to refrigerate things.

I am so upset with LG Fridge and LG customer service. I bought my fridge in July 2011 and purchased 5 year extended warranty from HD. During that time we replaced compressor (June 2013). Today I had to pay $500 labor fee to replace a compressor again (the part it is still under 10 year warranty). I am devastated. I called LG and they were extremely nice repeated memorized sentences, when I was finally connected to a supervisor (20 minutes on hold). She was rude and impatient. Never had to deal with this kind of attitude. I would never buy anything from LG. I like class lawsuit idea. They should have a recall and waive charges related to replacing the same parts, obviously it is manufacturer poor quality.

I purchased a fridge from Best Buy in 2013. It was an open item but was only a display item never leaving the store. We had the understanding that LG would honor open ticket items as though they were brand new. If we had known that LG (according to them) do not honor open item warranties I would not have bought the open item to save $100. I would have gone with a unopened product. But that isnt the full issue. So we bought a fridge it 2013 had some minor issues with the fridge but were able to fix the problems with a little help from videos as they were not major issues nothing repairing just thawing or cleaning something up. Well about 3-4 weeks ago we noticed our food was no longer staying cold and everything in our freezer was thawed and had to be thrown out and fridge was also not keeping things cold and lost most of our fridge stuff as well. We contacted LG to see if they could have someone come out and fix the issue as it was still under warranty. Well they called back to say they could get someone out to us in two weeks. We have young children in the home so going without a fridge for 2 weeks was not acceptable. We spoke to best buy and they recommended a repair place that is LG certified to come out and look at it. We contacted them and they asked the model and serial number once he got that information he knew exactly what the problem was and how to fix it. He has been fixing about 2-5 of these a week for the past year as it was a known defect during assembly of the product. When he first started seeing these issues appear he spoke to a tech at LG and the tech from LG let it slip mistakenly that during assembly of a part the worker bypassed procedures and did not install or use a spark shield. Without that part during assembly the part would fail within 4-5 years. And it looks based on the fact that he has fixed 2-5 a week that it is actually happening a lot. We had the repairman order the parts to get it fixed and we then find out that we would be charged a flat rate of $399 + tax or $425 to repair this. Parts would be all covered but labor wasnt so labor would be $425. I really find it hard to believe that I should be responsible for the labor on a product that was sold to me with a defective product. But we needed a fridge so we got the parts and had the repairman to come. Now the repairman spent 3 hrs only to find out the part that was sent was defective as well and did not work. So now my family has been without a fridge for 3-4 weeks. We called to complain to LG that first off we dont think we should be responsible for the labor costs if it was due to a defective product they knowingly put into the fridge. After some lengthy conversations with LG they have now since claimed that they will not pay anything due to this product being an open item product. They are still not standing up and admitting they put a defective part into a product and sold it. We know there is a list of serial numbers with this issue. If I had bought a car with a defective part a recall would be issued to repair this. But LG is trying to keep this on the down low and not pay up. It doesnt stop there. They have told our repairman that we said he was unprofessional and that he did not do a good job so now they are making false claims against our repairman that we never said. Plus during my first conversation with them they mentioned that you would be completely covered and you will have no cost out of your pocket for the repair only to go back on that statement and only offer my repair man a voucher for $115 of the $425 service. While I waited on the phone for the confirmation that this was all worked out I repeatedly asked will I be completely covered and nothing will come out of my pocket to which I was told over and over again that it will be covered. Only to find out the lied again to me and that they were only offering the lower rate. Now after we complained more now they are completely dropping all help and deeming this was due to the open item purchase and they dont cover the warranty on open items. I spoke to Best Buy and they restated that is not the case. Open items they sell are covered under warranty without question. Please what can you do to help. This has been very frustrating that I am without a fridge and now I am having to pay another $400 after buying a fridge less than 5 years ago for 1800. This is not the service I expected from a billion dollar company.

I bought an LG refrigerator in Sept 2016, it failed April 2019. I have been without a working refrigerator for over 4 months. They have attempted to replace the compressor 3 times, 2 of these times they also replaced the motherboard, each time its failed. LG told me that they would attempt to repair 3 times before a replacement would be issued. On the day of the 3rd failed attempt I called and was told that they were submitting the approval for a replacement. After not hearing back I called and Im now being told that each of those repairs fell into the same type of repair and that they will be sending a technician to try something different. Not until today was I offered a $150 credit towards a mini- refrigerator. Im being given quite the run-around, a different story each time I call it seems and Im at the end of my rope. How much time am I supposed to take off work to meet repair men, will they attempt this new type of repair 3 more times, then will they try something new? How long will this go on - a year? A refrigerator should last longer than 2.5 years, PERIOD. They are aware they are selling defective refrigerators. There are class action lawsuits about these compressors. Enough is enough. Send me a new unit or give me my money back.

I purchased this machine for 962$ 3 years ago and it is the worst washing machine Ive ever owned. It is locked up now with a load of clothes in it and the electronics are completely dead. It will not respond to any reset even though it has power. They want to send a technician to the house at my expense. I dont want to invest any more money into this machine because even when it was working it was a lousy machine. I will never buy another LG product. I will advise all of my friends of this experience. I just wish I had visited the online reviews and read about other peoples experiences with LG before my purchase. They have a very poor reputation.

Do not buy LG products. This is my experience.I bought a new LG refrigerator on 3rd February 2012. On 19th Feb. 2012 it stopped working. I registered a complaint at customer care (complaint number **) on 20-02-2012. As per the call center executive, somebody will call me within 24 hours and attend the problem within 72 hours. None of these happened even after 100 (one hundred) hours. I called customer care on 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th. Every time they said they will send a reminder. They gave me the contact number of service center in Alwaye and customer care officer. After trying for more than one hour (20-30 calls) both these numbers are not reachable/not answering.

First, the compressor went out in our LG refrigerator that is only 5 years old. We had LG come fix it. They billed us for a tech to just walk in the door. The first tech had to cancel so they sent a different one. However, they billed us for both technicians. This was on Jan. 23. Five phone calls later, lots of being told to be patient, and being given the runaround, its now Feb. 28 and we still dont have our refund. This is stealing. Be warned, LG has horrible quality and they steal money from their consumers. We will NEVER buy another LG product.

I have had an extremely unsatisfactory experience with my 5 year old LG front loading washing machine. In the beginning it was a mildew odor in the unit. Did a few loads with bleach and wiped around rubber sealant weekly. The clothes do not seem clean to me. I have adjusted the water levels, amount of detergent, the cycle is way over an hour and the results are not good. The control panel shut down and now I have to spend $500 to replace it. I would never recommend this product.

Horrible experience! Bought Range less than eight months ago. The oven stopped working after three months of having the Electric Range. The tech was very professional, but he had to come three more times and change the motherboard. I was finally done with this range since the oven stopped working every three months. After the third visit, I requested a refund, and the company wanted an original receipt and was just horrible customer service, and I was told that process could take 14 days. I was told without a receipt I wouldnt get a refund for their defective item. I am glad I had a receipt, but the customer service was so horrible went it came down to the refund process. Never will I buy another item from LG, considering how unreasonable they are with the whole process. Also, I have never purchased a range that needed repairs 3 times in the first eight months of purchased. NOT IMPRESSED....
