On November of 2011 I bought a top load LG washer, model WT5001CW. It worked great until a few months ago when the bleach dispenser area has begun to rot. It is so bad that the entire area where the bleach goes has come off the hinges and is just dangling off the base. When I contacted LG, I was told that the warranty did not cover cosmetic issues. When I asked to speak with a manager and explain that this more than a cosmetic issue, this is a manufactured defect! I was told that my case would be reviewed and they would get back with as soon as they made a decision. Two months later, I am yet to hear from them. This company needs to take responsibility for the manufacturing of their products.

Purchased an LG gas range because it had 5 burners. Was pleased with it until I notice the inside of the knobs have plastic and keep cracking. The first time LG replaced them at no cost to me. Now they are cracked again. Called LG and they wont replace them again. Want me to purchase them at $63.66 ea. I have 5 knobs - thats $318.30 for the knobs. If I buy them, they are going to crack again because they are the same ones. These knobs are defective. LG should have replace them with a better constructed knob so this doesnt happen again. Now its hard to turn the burners on cause they slip. Thought they would have taking care of this problem but NO.

LG True Balance washing machine - We purchased this machine brand new and was told it was top of the line in terms of quality and capacity. It was also at the top end of pricing. We have been dissatisfied in every way. It takes hours to complete a wash cycle and the only chance you stand of getting through a wash cycle without machine stopping every 10 minutes and showing an error code is if you wash like items, ie only towels or only jeans... and then you still often times have to reposition at least once. Many times I cant get the load to finish and have had to remove and wring out by hand soaked and dripping items from machine. We have balanced it every way possible and done all recommended troubleshooting. Techs say just wash like items... not realistic to wash that many separate loads. Would love to hear if anyone has figured out how to fix this issue.

This is my first purchase of an LG refrigerator, and while the reviews were good, my experience has been less than stellar. The refrigerator is less than 3 years old and makes horrible noise when the doors are closed. Last year, I had to pay a professional service person close to $300 to come de-ice the refrigerator and am now faced with the same scenario. LG customer service is no help saying to make sure the refrigerator is level and to call a repair person. I have had several refrigerators ranging from Westinghouse to KitchenAid and never had issues. I am very unhappy and would not recommend purchasing an LG refrigerator.

We bought our LG washer and dryer in 2006. You can take any of the complaints/descriptions from the others and put our name under it as our problems are the same as theirs. The problem with smell and extreme mold buildup started immediately and continues to this day. We clean it weekly with washing machine cleaners, bleach and dishwasher detergent to no avail. The washer door stays open when not in use. LG customer service? It does not exist. We will never buy an LG product ever--not even an alarm clock! I would give it zero stars if I could. We have a smelly washer filled with mold and mildew. We are going to buy a new washer today. Good riddance, LG!

Bought washer about 4 years ago expecting it to last 15 years or more like the previous one. Suddenly completely stopped working during a wash cycle. Replaced the main control board, but now it goes through different cycles for the same program and some of the features dont work like before. LG wouldnt stand by their product. Dont recommend it, as they dont seem to care about the quality of their product.

Purchased this expensive machine (1400 AUD) in July 2012 and started breaking down in 2016 with 200 AUD spent on repairs in the last 6 months. The computer control unit has now died with an estimated repair and replacement cost l of 1000 AUD (500 for the part and 500 to do the replacement including call out). So have effectively had 4.5 years out of this machine. While the motor has a 10-year warranty the computer control does not so this equates to 311 AUD/year. The washing machine I had before this one lasted 8 years with much lower repair costs. My conclusion is that LG front loader not sufficiently reliable as it did even 5 years without needing repairs, which is what I expect out of a washing machine. Will give Samsung a try this time - LG is now on my banned list for repeat customer business - suggest you consider this if thinking of buying LG.

I really like this washer except sometimes I could not wash a lightweight quilt. The spin cycle would stay on 6 and it was too heavy for the washer to handle. And once the rubber that went around the inside of the machine came off and water spilled out all over the place and the repairman said that happened often.

I purchased an LG washer. After the warranty ran out, a tear appeared in the gasket around the washer. It seems like this is a default, this should not have happened in this small span of time. It will cost around $350 to repair plus the technicians fees. Im very disappointed in this machine and would not recommend it to anyone. A class action law suit sounds good to me.

Received brand new broken clothes dryer. Long waiting time before appliance repair was available, then after 2 trips to repair, left the dryer in parts and did not show for 3rd appointment. LG Appliance Company just keeps giving us delays and different stories every time we call. We want these returned and our money back. I have been extremely inconvenienced - during the holidays too - I have had to go to laundromat to dry my clothes. These appliances cost $2,000 and I have not even been able to use them!!! (Purchased from amazon.com. They have been notified).

I called customer service at LG. A woman helped me with the issue. She repeated what I told her in her own words. There were no problems understanding each other. She told me a technician would be calling me to set up an appointment. About one hour later a man from some company called me and wanted to know what the problem is. The young woman had told me she would explain to the technician. Anyway I explained it all again. He said This is the problem and started to repeat what I said EXCEPT he wasnt saying what I had the said. I tried three more times to explain the problem. He got angry (actually he wasnt happy when he called), he got me upset as I tried four times to explain the problem. I suggested we make an appointment… he said NO. I dont come out until I understand the problem. He said I will look at the manual and call you back. He did that… Lo and behold he STILL DID NOT UNDERSTAND. I then called LG back. The man (sounded like he was in India) said You have an appointment on the 8th of May. I told I knew nothing about an appointment. He said May I call the person that called you. I said Fine. Have not heard back. A few days ago my older son was at my house. He said Mom, be careful. I was turning on one of the front burners. He must have noticed the large flame. I never told either of my sons about the fact that my clothes have been singed when turning on the front burners. Just let something happen in my kitchen because of the stove and you know who will be sued big time...

I purchased a washer dryer from discount Warehouse. They were both LG products. Part of my analysis was based on a promised $250.00 rebate. I was told it would come in three to four weeks. It is now over three months and no rebate. To get through to them on the phone is impossible. My vendor has done nothing about this as well. Needless to say I would not count on getting any rebate back from LG products.

I bought my new LG topload washer and dryer on 7/1/12 and noticed after about a week that my white clothes werent getting clean. I turned my tankless heater up to 140 and put my sheets into wash. I went to add a pair of socks and noticed the water was barely warm. My heater is fine so on the next hot load, I watched when the washer was filling and it was putting more cold water in than hot! I called LG Support line and they said that was how it was supposed to be and I should try putting it on the bulky bedding setting. I did and it had no effect. I called Sears because when I bought it, they said I had a 90-day return option. They said, yes you do, but since I used the washer, I couldnt return it! I will never do business with Sears or buy another LG product. I would imagine the front loaders are the same but it would be impossible to check.

In May 2013, I purchased a LG refrigerator with bottom freezer drawer, model LFX25991ST. The freezer stopped cooling in Aug 2013. Repairman replaced the freezer fan grill and the main circuit board. In Feb 2014 same thing happened. Again lost food to thawing. Repairman once again replaced freezer fan grill, this time with a built-in heater that was supposed to prevent it from icing up and malfunctioning. The repairman, for the second time, also replaced main circuit board. 24 Mar 2014 freezer again stopped working. Have to wait another week to get a repairman to evaluate it. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS REFRIGERATOR! IT IS NOT WORTH THE AGGRAVATION!

We purchased a LG 3 door fridge with ice and water two years ago. Did some updating in the kitchen and decided it would be nice to have one last new one... The one we replaced it with was a 25+ year old side by side GE... Still worked fine, never did a repair to it, but this LG was so pretty.. All electronic computerized.. Almost two years to the day we got it, it has died taking everything stored in it with it? This is so disheartening for retired people that just want one last nice thing in their lives... I bought a new LG washer and Dryer, and a new 70 inch LG tv... Praying these don’t go out like the fridge! Be cautious about buying an LG!

We purchased the Door In Door French Door refrigerator (LG - LFX31945ST) on 7/20/2013 for $2500. Two days ago I heard a loud pop that sounded like ice dumping on overload. We left the house for a few hours only to come home and find water all over the floor, leaking from the ice maker in the fridge. The fridge had stopped maintaining any cold temperature in either the refrigerator or the freezer section. Much food was in the process of spoiling.Called an appliance repair person who diagnosed the problem as the control module/capacitor, which was burned out. He called for the part and was told that particular part has been on backorder since April and that it was unknown if or even when it would be available. This is ridiculous, we now had to go spend money to purchase a new refrigerator. The service person informed us that his main complaints on appliances are for LG and Samsung products. He doesnt understand why there is not a class action lawsuit against these companies for their poorly performing products for which you have trouble getting even parts to repair. We will not buy anything LG ever again.

Zero stars would be more like it! I have had an LG Steam Dryer for 2.5 years. It has never worked. I fortunately did purchase the Extended Service Plan from Home Depot. I have had it repaired 6 times and thats 12 service calls. It will heat a little for a few weeks and then stop working all together. The 6th repair, it didnt even heat the day the repair was done. Since then, Ive called numerous times and Assurant (the provided for Home Depots service plan) wont get back to me, wont send anyone to fix it, wont start a claim. I see it falls into the Lemon Law but if they can drag their feet for another month, one of the repairs falls off and then it isnt the Lemon Law any more. They refuse to do anything to help. Ive called Home Depot Corporate to see if they would do anything to help and was told no, you need to work with Assurant. I have also called the Gas Company to look at it to make sure it was hooked up correctly to begin with. It is hooked up correctly but they said the flame is so huge that its a total fire hazard and is now completely unhooked. So Im left with a $1200+ piece of junk and no way to dry any clothes. I will never shop at Home Depot nor will I buy LG anything again. Dont believe reviews that say LG is in the top for dryers because believe me, they are all junk!

LG Steam Washer WM2501h*A - I have been satisfied with this washer, except for its occasional inability to properly spin bulky or mixed loads. However all that changed the weekend before Thanksgiving when it apparently completed a load of clothes and then completely stopped functioning - no lights, no error messages, nothing. My husband did a bit of troubleshooting to make sure it was getting power (it was) and checking online. He suspected it needed a new motherboard. We found a local repairman who was able to come out the next day and he determined that was indeed the problem. This washer is less than 3 years old, and after having an old workhorse of a heavy-duty Kenmore that worked reliably for more than 20 years, with minimal problem, I was very disappointed this new fancy machine was already having a problem with a repair cost of $350. We bought LG because they were getting good reviews, and spent a pretty good piece of change on both the washer and dryer - I would never have expected to have any problem in this short of a time frame. I probably should have stuck with an old top-loader with old proven mechanism instead of trying to go green and save a little water... incredibly disappointed in LG.

We bought a side by side with freezer on bottom and chilled water and ice dispenser on door. It cost $2,500 new. Today, less than 3 years old, it has stopped cooling, freezing and making ice cubes! So I called them for service repair on Friday, and they said they could be at my house in 4 days (on Tuesday). This also made me negative about LG, they should have service much more quickly than this!!! My opinion, consider other options before buying LG. Jack

7/17/2017 purchased a Sears Elite Stainless Steel side-by-side Grab and Go refrigerator model 51863. The product had the Sears brand but found it was made by LG for Sears. 8/8/2019 freezer and refrigerator sides were warm and melting. A Sears and a none Sears serviceman (2) came and diagnosed the problem to be the linear compressor which was made by LG had gone out. This was a new beautiful looking refrigerator just over over 2 years old. Paid $1751 for it and it would cost $1000.00 to repair. Wrote Sears Vice President of Customer Experience. Received a phone call from their Executive Complaint Department and spoke with a Debra (or Deborah) who after lengthy conversations told me that since I did not have an extended warranty, there was nothing they could do.I was livid. Researched and found hundreds of customers who has had this problem and also found there is a class action law suit pending awaiting to see if the courts would approve it. After the poor treatment from Sears, and after having read that some replaced compressors went out again, I opted to buy a none LG brand refrigerator. Spent total of $3000.00 here.3/9/2017 purchased an LG 65 smart TV from Sams Club. Model: 65UH615A for $1000.00. I have 4 other TVs, none of which are LG brands. The oldest TV is over 12 years old and I watch it the most and have had no problems with it or any of the others. 4/25/2020 the LG model went out. Yes, the TV that I have had just over 3 years! I get a black screen. Researched online and it appears the motherboard is shot. Have a call in to a repair person. WHAT is UP with these LG products? How disappointing is this. I really thought that LG was a good brand but my experience dictates otherwise. 2018 purchased an LG Stylo 4 from Sprint and am now having problem with this phone when I log it up. This phone is just over 2 years old. I am so very disappointed in the LG BRAND and will make no more purchases by LG. I also will not refer this product due to my bad experiences.

I purchased a fridge from Best Buy in 2013. It was an open item but was only a display item never leaving the store. We had the understanding that LG would honor open ticket items as though they were brand new. If we had known that LG (according to them) do not honor open item warranties I would not have bought the open item to save $100. I would have gone with a unopened product. But that isnt the full issue. So we bought a fridge it 2013 had some minor issues with the fridge but were able to fix the problems with a little help from videos as they were not major issues nothing repairing just thawing or cleaning something up. Well about 3-4 weeks ago we noticed our food was no longer staying cold and everything in our freezer was thawed and had to be thrown out and fridge was also not keeping things cold and lost most of our fridge stuff as well. We contacted LG to see if they could have someone come out and fix the issue as it was still under warranty. Well they called back to say they could get someone out to us in two weeks. We have young children in the home so going without a fridge for 2 weeks was not acceptable. We spoke to best buy and they recommended a repair place that is LG certified to come out and look at it. We contacted them and they asked the model and serial number once he got that information he knew exactly what the problem was and how to fix it. He has been fixing about 2-5 of these a week for the past year as it was a known defect during assembly of the product. When he first started seeing these issues appear he spoke to a tech at LG and the tech from LG let it slip mistakenly that during assembly of a part the worker bypassed procedures and did not install or use a spark shield. Without that part during assembly the part would fail within 4-5 years. And it looks based on the fact that he has fixed 2-5 a week that it is actually happening a lot. We had the repairman order the parts to get it fixed and we then find out that we would be charged a flat rate of $399 + tax or $425 to repair this. Parts would be all covered but labor wasnt so labor would be $425. I really find it hard to believe that I should be responsible for the labor on a product that was sold to me with a defective product. But we needed a fridge so we got the parts and had the repairman to come. Now the repairman spent 3 hrs only to find out the part that was sent was defective as well and did not work. So now my family has been without a fridge for 3-4 weeks. We called to complain to LG that first off we dont think we should be responsible for the labor costs if it was due to a defective product they knowingly put into the fridge. After some lengthy conversations with LG they have now since claimed that they will not pay anything due to this product being an open item product. They are still not standing up and admitting they put a defective part into a product and sold it. We know there is a list of serial numbers with this issue. If I had bought a car with a defective part a recall would be issued to repair this. But LG is trying to keep this on the down low and not pay up. It doesnt stop there. They have told our repairman that we said he was unprofessional and that he did not do a good job so now they are making false claims against our repairman that we never said. Plus during my first conversation with them they mentioned that you would be completely covered and you will have no cost out of your pocket for the repair only to go back on that statement and only offer my repair man a voucher for $115 of the $425 service. While I waited on the phone for the confirmation that this was all worked out I repeatedly asked will I be completely covered and nothing will come out of my pocket to which I was told over and over again that it will be covered. Only to find out the lied again to me and that they were only offering the lower rate. Now after we complained more now they are completely dropping all help and deeming this was due to the open item purchase and they dont cover the warranty on open items. I spoke to Best Buy and they restated that is not the case. Open items they sell are covered under warranty without question. Please what can you do to help. This has been very frustrating that I am without a fridge and now I am having to pay another $400 after buying a fridge less than 5 years ago for 1800. This is not the service I expected from a billion dollar company.

I bought a french door model# LFC25776ST less than 4 years ago. Last November the compressor broke, after much runaround and redundant customer service, it was fixed under warranty (I paid labor of course as well as service calls from multiple technicians). LG gave me several names of repair techs they claimed were in my area, none of them were. I ended up finding one that can work on LG brand and convinced LG they were the only one in my area. 6 months later, the freezer and fridge are sitting around 40 degrees. The repair tech replaced the motherboard and fan before concluding the compressor failed again. I called LG and after they insisted on troubleshooting over the phone, they were convinced my fridge was not level, even though I told them a professional had diagnosed it already. I verified with 3 different levels that my fridge was sitting perfectly square. I guess Im just going to have to buy a new compressor every year until the 10 year sealed system warranty is up. I really wish I could talk to someone who actually knows what theyre talking about and cares about the customer. They outsource their call center to India where these people are just reading off a screen. GARBAGE. DONT BUY LG.

Lg has a reputable service and quality and that is why I picked it as a brand for my fridge and Im looking to get other products with LG brand because I trust it. It is big and provides a lot of room for sodas and other tall containers. I have plenty of room to hold food and not worry about the food falling or busting on other containers. I am completely shocked at the lack of accountability LG is demonstrating in our failed refrigerator compressor. We bought this refrigerator from Home Depot three years ago and the compressor failed in June of this year. When I called LG (who documents that they warranty their compressors for 10 years!), they directed me to their rip-off extended warranty department who charged me $450.00 for an extended warranty. After the service person came out and let them know it was the compressor, they said the parts are unavailable and they canceled my warranty without my permission, refunding my credit card MINUS $100.00 for the service person who diagnosed the problem! The contract of the warranty states they cannot cancel my warranty unless they give me 30 days notice in writing. After all of this happened I did some research online and it appears that our refrigerator is a lemon and LG is taking no responsibility for selling thousands of crappy appliances. We have spent hours on hold and hours talking to customer service people at LG who have no authority to do anything to help us. I am so disillusioned with this company and will stick to GE for any future appliance purchases. Hopefully this review will save someone else the frustration of dealing with LG.

Advertising LG is life is good until you have a problem with appliance. Covered part but not labor. Had refrigerator for 24 months into a 120 month warranty. The approved service provider charged labor and service call which is NOT covered by the life is good company. The service technician stated he had already replaced three other linear compressor on LG refrigerators in my local rural area. Shouldnt there be a recall on them?

LG double oven - Both ovens burn everything in the back of the oven while the front of the baking toward the door is still white. This also happens on convection. I have had it fixed 4 times. Once by the LG rep and 3 times by the Geek squad. Baking is awful. Nothing comes out right.

We purchased an LG refrigerator (Model #LDN20718SW/02) in January 2012. We have replaced the bottom shelf twice now. The second time it broke again within the first week. We have an extended warranty which would not cover replacement if broken within 3 months. We now have a shelf that is also broke that is not covered by the warranty. We do not have children living at home and are not hard on appliances. The plastic in this fridge is very brittle and does not stand up to normal everyday use. LG does not allow purchase of parts, even through an appliance repair, so you can replace these parts yourself. In Canada you must pay a service person to come out to replace these parts!!

We called LG directly because our 2-year-old French door refrigerator was icing up in the back of our refrigerator. They diagnosed the problem and told us the evaporator fan needed replacing. Even though the fan was supposedly under warranty, we were still quoted a price of $358 for the service call. Our credit card was charged upon placing the appointment with their service department, but nobody ever called or showed at the appointed time. We called LG customer service the next business day only to be placed on hold and after being told they were checking it out, they never came back on the line!!! Will never buy another LG product. Still trying to get our money refunded.

I purchased a LG 6.3 cu. ft. slide-In ELECTRIC Range with ProBake Convection and EasyClean from Costco in 2018 for around $1300. I dont use the range a lot (maybe 8-10 times a month). During the warranty period, 2 burners were not heating properly and the oven was always between 50-75 degrees under where is was set. Under the warranty the 2 burners were replaced, but the technician was not able to figure out why the oven was not heating properly. We tried adjusting the temperate settings using the ovens setting feature with no real results. The month following the end extended warranty, I used the self-cleaning function on the oven which blew the thermal fuse. This was a $300 repair for parts and service call. Last night, the oven just quit working 10 minutes in to cooking a $170 prime rib roast for Christmas dinner after the temperature was turned up to 475 degrees. I might guess it is the thermal fuse again. Yes, the oven is now 4 years old, but it has never functioned properly since the day I purchased it, and it has gotten very little use. I would expect so much more from an $1800 appliance!

We purchased an LG WT4970CW washing machine in August 2014 from Best Buy. Shortly after using it, I noticed some of laundry would be dry on top, especially sheets. Sheets would be pulled tightly across top of drum and be completely dry - obviously were not touched by water and detergent. Then, on subsequent loads, the machine kept giving error message: UE which means the load is out of balance. Machine shuts off in middle of cycle and you have to open the lid, pull the laundry out and rearrange it, close lid and machine turns on again. However, during one load, this happened up to six times and it took me four hours to complete one load of laundry. I dont stand by the machine while it is doing its job, so when I would expect the laundry to be done, I would go to my basement only to see the UE displayed which meant it wasnt finished.I had a repair person come to my home last week (10/2018). He called and spoke with an LG technical support person. He explained the problem and was told I was doing the laundry incorrectly. The LG agent told him I have to wash only like items at one time. In other words, if I have a load of jeans, tee shirts, polo shirts, mens underwear, socks, I need to sort the clothes and wash the jeans separate from the shirts, separate from the underwear and socks!!! The machine goes out of balance almost every time I wash two bath towels, one hand towel, and one washcloth along with a nightgown and some underwear. The LG agent said I should only be washing towels (up to six bath towels) at one time and nothing else. This is not how REALITY works! It would take me a full day to do the equivalent of two loads of laundry. It would also defeat the purpose of the water-conserving feature of these new machines. I would need to do six tiny loads of laundry in place of my normal two loads. Also, I do not have enough clothing to wait until I have a full load of just underwear so it is a normal-sized load. I dont even have enough pants and shirts to wait until I have a full load of just pants to wash. This machine is only 4-1/2 years old and I have to replace it. I also bought the extended warranty, but was only offered a one-year extension for parts only. Of course, the warranty expired in August 2016.The repair person said there were no parts to replace or would make sense to replace, because the cost of the repair would be almost the cost of a new machine with no guarantee it would fix the problem. He told me my complaints are very common complaints he has heard over and over from his customers regarding their LG machines. The repairperson highly recommended I buy a Speed Queen TR7000 which works almost the same way my 35-year-old Maytag washer worked and it comes with a seven-year materials and labor warranty. Cant wait to give the LG machine the heave-ho and get the Speed Queen machine! I will never buy ANY LG product as long as I live.

I purchased a new washer and dryer from Home Depot in June 2019. The washer broke in October, 5 months old. I called LG customer service on 11/4/19. The sent a repair man out the following day. He needed to order parts, and said they would arrive the following Monday. I waited a week and no parts. I called customer service again and was told the parts were on back order, so they request a defective replacement. I called a week later, and was told the request was denied as the part was shipping and would be in on 11/26. I called on the 26th and was told the parts were still on back order and that they were referring it back to defective replacement department and they would contact me. I called again today, 11/29, and was told she could not see that it had been referred for replacement and that I would need to call back Monday morning. So far it has been almost a month with no resolution in sight. Although after reading some of the other reviews, I may have months more of waiting.... Customer service agents are outsourced and speak very broken English. They are very unhelpful and they have no managers to transfer to. They do excel at giving you the run around though! This was the most expensive washer I have ever purchased. I am very disappointed. Side note, the dryer was broken when the delivery guys first brought it out, so they took it back and Home Depot had to order another one.... Thank goodness the delivery guys knew what they were doing, or I most likely would have been dealing with the dryer from day one.

In 2012 I bought LG French door refrigerator. This refrigerator last 18 months. After several attempts to fix and few hundreds dollars of groceries dumped in the garbage I had to buy a new one. Because of custom kitchen I created by appliances only LG can fit. My new refrigerator still working but I cant use water it still smelly. Another time I got upset and decide to look for similar complaints after 2 pages of peoples cry about this horrible products I realized how lucky I am it just stinky ice and water. My question is how come LG still in business??? Is any of high authorities ever read this feedbacks??? My experience to get in touch failed. Unfortunately I dont speak Hindi. I hardly I learned English. So my idea not to be writer of bad feedbacks but to see if someone has a balls to answer simple questions. I am waiting. P.S. This item price $3000.00. WOW!!!

In May 2016, we purchased an LG set of kitchen appliances through Costco. We have had nothing but trouble with all of these appliances. The most egregious is the refrigerator. The compressor failed in March, 2019 (note, the fridge was less than 3 years old). According to our user manual, the warranty for the compressor was for 5 years parts but we would have to pay for labor. We contacted the number in the booklet for warranty service using the number listed for using the Smart Diagnosis service. After a very long round-robin of talking to one person after another, I finally was put through to a Smart Diagnosis technician. After many attempts to use the smart phone smart diagnosis, the tech said that it wasnt working (no surprise there. Has it ever worked on any LG appliance?)I finally called a local servicer who sent out a technician. He diagnosed the failed compressor and said he would obtain the part for us per warranty but we would have to pay the labor ($855.00) ourselves as it was not covered under the warranty. The serviceman was very negative about LG and even suggested we would be better off just buying a new refrigerator from another manufacturer. We decided to repair this one so he ordered the part and said he would call when it was in.In the meantime, my husband is researching LG appliances and discovers that LG extended the warranty to include the compressor part AND the labor for the first 5 years of the appliance. We were never notified by LG that a change was made to the warranty. When the repairman called with the part, we had him go ahead and install it. We had been without a refrigerator for a week by that time.We then called LG to attempt to get the $855 back from LG that we paid for the labor. I thought this would be easy. HAH. It is now two months later. I have talked with many different people, sent documentation twice, and all I am told is the reimbursement is under review... Thank goodness we purchased the refrigerator through Costco because the Costco Concierge service has been a great help by contacting LG directly for me. So far, LG is stalling them as well. I will post again if I ever see my $855 again. In the meantime, please do yourself a favor and NEVER buy any LG appliance!!

We have had our LG refrigerator for only about five years. We had to replace the compressor 18 months ago when it conveniently went out on us a couple days before Christmas and now the compressor has stopped working again and we are relying on an old 40+ year old refrigerator in our basement to keep our food cold. I would never recommend an LG refrigerator to anyone. One more point we searched and searched for anyone to even come and work on the thing and waited more than two weeks for a service man. I’m done.

On June 28, 2020 I noticed my fridge was not keeping things cold. I called a refrigerator repair company and it turns out my compressor went bad. I have only had the fridge for 5 yrs and 3 months. I called LG customer service on June 29, 2020, and was told they would replace the part but wouldnt pay for the service. It is going to cost over $600 to have the compressor replaced. I did some additional research and it appears LG has a problem with defective compressors. In fact, there was a lawsuit filed against them for this very reason. I asked to speak to a manager about the repair cost and Vergie refused to transfer me to one. She also would not provide the name of the manager that said they would not cover the repair costs. Its not like I asked for a new fridge, I just want them to pay for a problem they know they have. This will be the last time I purchase a LG product!

Worst and Cheating Service from LG. Issue Started from Deepavali. I had complained regarding TV service before 40 to 50 days but still, the status is the same.My TV Model No. LG-LED/42LA6620 got a problem as the TV was not turning ON, regarding this I had complained and an executive told that they will come and diagnose the issue. After couple of days, he came and saw that there is a problem in it and told he will return in a couple of days and went. But later he did not return at all. He did not even receive our calls and we were in search of help, but nothing happened. Later I called to customer care and you people told that it will be done on chargeable basis. Even visiting charges should be beared by the customer. I agreed for that and requested for the executive at my place. And you people struggled a lot to arrange a person to my place but you people failed to do that. But we are the person who is suffering and ultimately our situation is like Wait or Go and as we got an expensive TV from you and fortunately or unfortunately I have got all LG brands in my house (TV, FRIDGE, WASHING MACHINE etc.,) and I am a promoter for LG product. But now am just afraid that how about future of the products I got. How the support and services for these products, am panicked. And after struggling a lot we didnt get any help from LG but we at the receiver end have to get our TV repaired and took that TV personally and went to the other city that is Hospet from Gangavathi for getting it serviced. After submitting that TV they told that it has to be diagnose and it will take a couple of days and we left our TV there and returned. After couple of days, they told that there is a motherboard issue and it will charge you around 7k to 9k.I told them to go ahead and service it. I want the TV to be Fixed. But trust me I have doubt on those technicians over there, I am having an impression that I am in safe hands or someone trying to loot us. But still, I told them to go ahead and service it. Later after a couple of days, I get a call saying that it will take a month to replace it. I told, Okay. Fix it as soon as possible. And later I get one more story that, We need bill sir as this motherboard is not available as of now, if you provide bill then we will look for depreciation and you can go for another model. Now am really frustrated and just cant control myself for simple issue, I am okay with taking TV personally to the service center, I am okay with replacing a motherboard, I am okay with money, I am okay with time. Now its a new phase. They are asking me to go for depreciation. But I managed my self to get the bill and submitted to them but until today am in the same situation and TV is in the same condition. Today 23/12/2017 morning when I called to the customer care, I get these type of responses ie., Sir you need to visit the dealer where you have submitted your TV, and, We cant help you in this, what the hell is this response from LG customer care, I made him realise that he is working for LG then he told that he will arrange call back. Later I called once again and narrated all the story to that lady, she told she will arrange a call back. Thank God that I got a call from LG but now they started with new story which clearly shows that they are cheating openly to the people. When I called in the morning and asked regarding the status of my TV, LG customer care people they told part is not available so it will take some more time. But after an hour I get a call saying that sir your LCD has problem as we are testing on your TV but there is problem in display. Now here we can see clearly, that from main office they are saying part is pending, and from Hospet dealer they are telling that, Sir motherboard we received and testing on it but there is a problem in LCD and it will be fixed with a charge of Rs: 24,000/- extra. If they tell us that its going to cost you more in which we can go for other options by dropping the idea of getting this tv repaired. This is so cheap activity done by you people to grab money or to drop the issue. If you people really need money/dont want to support then try to get it by earning with trust but not by cheating the innocent people, its our hard-earned money we spend on buy expensive gadgets by trusting giant companies. Now I am requesting you again to the experienced/some qualified engineer to look into the issue and solve it. Really LG is stepping back from giving services. Its really gonna affect the brand. I was promoter for the company but you people are making me to go for worst condition... If this is condition for few more customers then soon it is gonna be in helpless situation. I dont know what kind of engineers LG is hiring not capable to repair a simple issue then what for they hire a so-called qualified developers.

I am truly disappointed with my LG washer model WT487OC. I purchased it approx 61 months ago, and yes my 48 months protection plan expired. The machine began to exhibit a problem 3 months ago when after a wash load, there was a noticeable debris on the damp clothing which led to concerns before drying the load. After a few calls to LG Customer Service and a discussion with Rocket Appliance Repair who LG suggested I call. It was determined that the machine somehow had developed mold internally. I tried over 10 different options that LG & THEIR REPAIR SERVICED suggested I attempt, but to no avail. The machine was considered unrepairable. In over 40 years of cleaning and purchasing household appliances I have never experienced anything like this. I will never buy LG appliances again, and any I presently own I will seek replacements for as soon as possible.

Updated on 12/25/2020: DO NOT BUY LG UNTIL YOU READ THIS. 2ND COMPLAINT. LG has not followed up on resolving issue with our LG refrigerator as Promised. I filed complaint 12/5/20, called 12/23/20 because LG has not contacted me. Ashley at LG stated that Claim and Case WAS NOT Submitted nor processed and have to resubmit and wait another 10 business days for their response, if any. LG wants us to follow up if they dont contact us after 1/3/2021. UNBELIEVABLE! We have not used our LG Refrigerator since 10/28/2020, look how long LG has Procrastinated in resolving issue. LG will not contact us, follow up or make our case a PRIORITY as Louis stated it was. When LG states on 12/23/2020 they have to resubmit claim because of their error and we have to follow up ourselves is disturbing. I am sorry to write a 2nd review, but again, LG will not contact us accept through this site. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE RESOLUTION PROCESS. All we want is our LG Refrigerator that we bought and paid for. Is this asking to much from LG?Original Review: Terrible Customer Service and Quality of 2020 LG Counter Depth French. Received on 9/3/2020. Broke down, No power at unit, on 10/28/2020. It took LG 19 days to inspect after missing 3 LG scheduled repairs appointments that LG set up for us. LG opened 5 Customer Concern Reports and Three Different Repair Orders. Refrigerator not repairable and none in stock through Home Depot. We had to Reorder another LG unit and paid extra for an ESP plan to protect ourselves, $195.00 dollars for an ESP plan to Protect ourselves. LG promised delivery 1/25/2021, UNBLIEVEABLE. Home Depot tried to elevate our New Order, 11/20/2020, but with no help from LG. Home Depot would rather upset an American Customer than upset LG, a South Korean Company, who lacks American Values, Culture, Empathy and Ethics. LG should provide FREE 5 year ESP plan with units to Prove that LG has Trust and Confidence in their Products.

I purchased an LG electric range and refrigerator. An extended warranty was not purchased, as I didnt feel a $1400.00 range and $1700.00 refrigerator would require repairs in a 5-year period. The refrigerator has been problematic (leaks and broken plastic drawers), but it keeps the food cold. So well deal with the unsightly leaks and work to the best of our ability to keep our expensive wood floor dry. My current problem is my electric range. It quit working altogether, and by reading many complaints, the model is infamous for this breakdown. In speaking to LG customer service department, the only remedy she could offer is the name and number for the only repairman they have contracted in the Louisville area. An appointment was arranged with Universal Appliance, which was confirmed before I took 5 hours of unpaid time off from work. Needless to say, they did not show up. I was given an explanation and told they would be here before 10 am the following day (more unpaid time off work). It is 9:55 am and still no repairman. I am left with a non-working 2-year-old electric range and up to this point $150.00 pay deduction. I am disappointed in the sub-standard quality of my LG products and feel I have no recourse.

We purchased LG french door refrigerator LFXS29626W from Home Depot on 11/17/15 for over $2000. We loved the refrigerator until 9/14/18 when we discovered the refrigerator was not cooling, the ice maker not working, the freezer not working, and food in the freezer thawed. My husband spent many hours on the phone, only to find nobody willing to service LG refrigerators. Upon reviewing the horror stories experienced by very, very many other owners of LG refrigerators, we decided to simply cut our losses and purchased a new Kitchen Aid refrigerator from a local family owned store. Our over $2000, less than 3 year old LG refrigerator will be going to the recycler. It is most disappointing to see LG show such lack respect for their customers who have spent their hard earned money on this product. It seems apparent from all the reviews that LG has known for sometime that their product was defective, but where is their effort for correction. We will not ever purchase another LG product again and have advised everyone we know of our experience.

After my husband returned home from Iraq, we thought we deserved an upgrade
After my husband returned home from Iraq, we thought we deserved an upgrade of our 15 year old hand-me-down washer and dryer. We purchased the LG front loading washer (model # WM2487HRM). It began smelling horribly, not long after. We have had to leave the door and the dispenser drawer open, put dryer sheets in to help with smell in between washes, regularly try to wipe out the disgusting rubber seal, after every wash, because of the remaining water, and still it stinks. The printing on the machines is rubbing off, and the seams on the exterior of the dryer seem to be disintegrating. Every time I wipe it clean, the color of the machine (red) wipes off! We also have terrible vibrations with it. On January 18, 2012, we had a service technician come to check why it sounded like it was so far off balance, that it was going to crack the interior. Of course, the extended warranty provider, Federal Warranty Service Corporation, sent out the repair company of their choosing. He checked that the machine was indeed level (we already tried that), still it shook so bad that he had to remove the top of the washer, and proceeded to tell me wow! You should see how bad it is! That thing was going crazy inside there! He said the bearing was bad, and warned that with continued use, it might seize up. He also said that he wouldnt even attempt to replace it, because of the man hours it would require, and they only pay him a flat fee of $95 to repair it. It just wasnt worth his time. He said he would contact the service contract provider with the recommendation, to replace the machine altogether, and even recommended that we get a top loader next time! We still havent gotten any resolution, and our washer is worse than ever! LG, Home Depot, and Federal Warranty Service Corporation should all be ashamed of themselves for producing, selling, and attempting to maintain service contracts on this washing machine! It is the last time I will I purchase from any of them! Class action suit? Count me in!

We purchased 3 high end LG Appliances for our home 6 years ago - each has broken down so far. Now the fridge is broken again (exact same problem I paid to fix 6 months ago) and LG refuses to stand behind their repairs or products. This is outrageous for a company such as LG to take advantage of customers and collect repairs costs on an ongoing basis after they have sold their products. Please consider any other brand (even a cheap one) before LG... they are a bottomless money paying pit.

I have to say that my LG model LFX25991ST top of the line French door refrigerator looks great. Unfortunately, it doesnt keep food cold. After just over two years, the compressor failed, the replacement of the compressor failed, and Im just hoping that I got a lemon and that Sears will replace it with a new non-lemon after Ive had my fourth repair call. Going without a fridge for 4 weeks now, and having food spoiled twice when it failed is not fun. I would think long and hard before buying another LG product.

I had the refrigerator for approximately without any problems. Style, price and capacity were the primary reasons I chose this particular refrigerator brand. In addition, the refrigerator was an appropriate items for the decor theme in the kitchen. Accessible water and ice from the door of the refrigerator, ample storage space for items placed in the refrigerator, blending of the refrigerator with the kitchen decor, ease of cleaning the inside and exterior surfaces and the quietness in the operation of the mechanical parts represent features I liked about the refrigerator. Shortly thereafter, issues developed with the ice maker that included water dripping from the ice container into the dispensing tray that eventually caused severe damage to the wood floor. In addition, maintaining an appropriate cooling temperature fluctuated, requiring a service technician attention.

In June of 2014 I bought a new French door LG fridge ($2199) for our new home from Sears Canada. From the minute it was plugged in it squealed randomly and has a constant humming/vibrating noise that is well above just annoying. As a point of reference, we have an almost identical LG at the cottage and it is basically noise free. I have been quite patient about getting the noise corrected as it seems to function well except for how noisy it is. The authorized LG repair tech was there today for the second time and had the gall to tell me it seems not bad, I asked him to leave and go have another drink as the alcohol coming off him would serve a college fraternity well.Almost one year later I still have an annoying buzz coming from my new LG refrigerator and zero satisfaction in getting this remedied. At this point I fully expect LG to delay this until the one year warranty is up and say sorry, nothing we can do. Fortunately, I have lawyers in my family and this matter is far from over. As many others have said, THIS WILL BE MY LAST LG PRODUCT regardless of the ultimate outcome. There is no need in this day and age to put up with this level of customer service.

The LG-WM3997HWA washers drain system is bad and the dryer doesnt dry! I spoke to a couple of LGs support people and the first one sent out a repair person because the machine doesnt dry. The repair person found nothing wrong. I called again because the machine still didnt dry and LG was again going to send out a repair person... I then called the repair person and he said these machines never dry and that if he came again, he would just check the specs and the specs were correct. So I called LGs support people again and this time the lady told me that the machine only dries to 90%. In point of fact, it doesnt really dry. I tried it using half the wash load and I think that after hours of drying, it was wetter than when it first came out of the wash. I now have to buy a dryer. I have been trying to dispute this with Goedekers the company that I purchased this machine from, but their policy is once its delivered, its yours. It makes no sense to me at all that they sell a washer/dryer that doesnt dry. I have used these kinds of machines in Japan and they work perfectly. It does take hours, but the wash comes out dry at the end and you dont have to remove half the wash to get it that way. Also your design for the machines drainage is horrible. To have the water drain out so close to the floor makes no sense. I used a flat tray to catch the water, but it is virtually impossible to control the flow and most of the time, it makes a mess. This is probably the worst appliance that I have ever bought. At this point, I now have to buy a dryer to put on top of the machine because the reason I bought it in the first place is because my laundry room is tiny. The point is that they should not be selling this machine and the public should be warned not to buy it.

Bought this expensive $2500 LG fridge from Costco June 2018, we were remodeling our kitchen. After 6 months the ice maker defrosted and started leaking and unable to dispense ice. The repairman changed the ice dispenser motor and seemed to work ok. Then after another 3 months or so, the freezer and refrigerator stopped working, defrosting all of our food. We lived on ice coolers and no cooking. When the repairman came, he unplugged the ref, and it started working again. After another month, same thing happened, defrosted all of our food again, lived on ice coolers for 4 days till repairman came and says it might be the control board acting up? He will order the part but we have to wait another 3 days or so. We are waiting for the part he ordered Thursday and will come Wednesday, long wait for a very frustrating expensive ref? I recommend “Don’t buy this fridge!“ Not worth the headaches. I live in Vegas. Very hot here, no fridge life is not easy! Very frustrating, unhappy with poor customer service. LG does not even expedite repairs? Unacceptable... We bought a lemon? Hope this experience doesn’t happen to anyone...

Let me say first, I always like to give anybody a chance to resolve issues
Let me say first, I always like to give anybody a chance to resolve issues and I am really patient with giving multiple chances to do so! After four years of horrible service and a machine which is unusable with heavy laundry I finally had it, I feel everybody should know! This washer is unable to spin heavy loads! Washing half a load is impossible, it cannot balance a half load! If you fill the washer up with towels and bed linens it sometimes spins, but often it does not!! It will display in the screen that the load is unbalanced. THE ONLY THING I CAN DO IS TAKING THE TOTALLY WET LOAD OUT OF THE MACHINE, PUT A PART OF THE LOAD BACK IN THE MACHINE AND THEN IT CAN SPIN TWO OR THREE SMALL LOADS, THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!!The problem exists already from the beginning, its stupid from me that I have dealt with it for so long. I am just too busy! I started to take action after the warranty was expired. So LG was nice and extended the warranty. But before someone came to our house I had to listen to their UNBELIEVABLE ADVICE: I was only supposed to put 4 towels in the washer, I was supposed to put jeans on one side and t-shirts on the other in the same load??? And then a tech told me this machine was not made for heavy loads! On top of that I was told that I should only use the towel program for towels and other programs were not made for it! But I wanted to use the hygiene program that gives hot steam as well! Later I was told that this was all not true and that the machine should be able to do it all! They eventually decided that the drum was warped and that it needed to be replaced. So a tech came, but the poor man barely could do the work. He was sweating profusely had trouble to sit on his knees and it took him many hours. Then he noticed a screw was not working well from the new outer drum so he decided to put the new inner drum inside of the old outer drum. He convinced me the problem was solved, BUT THAT WAS NOT TRUE, THE PROBLEM WAS STILL THERE!!!!Now THE PROBLEM WAS EVEN WORSE, after the repair THE MACHINE DID NOT SPIN AND DID NOT DRAIN ANYMORE!! I was beyond myself! It took forever before the next tech came, a very nice man, but he said he had no time to fix it and that another tech would come instead. Weeks went by and a totally arrogant man showed up on the wrong day, when only my husband was home. He said he was going to fix it his way and it was up to him to decide what he was going to do. The fact that a manager of LG had decided to replace the full drum this time, he totally ignored!! He repaired a few things and decided it was now really fixed.Lots of email correspondence later with a manager from LG, to my utmost frustration the problem is still there!! Appointments were cancelled due to weather and scheduling problems and one tech just did not show up! I can hardly believe it but THE WASHER IS STILL NOT SPINNING WITH HEAVY LOADS AND EVEN WITH SMALLER LOADS IT BANGS AND IT MADE EVEN MY KIDS WONDER WHERE THE NOISE IS COMING FROM!! I am so frustrated and dont know what to do!! I approached another department to seek for real help but they came back to me with a few ridiculous statements, like changing my laundry detergent to he what I always have done even with the much better washer I had before from kitchenaid.I AM SEEKING FOR HELP, THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE WASHER $1199!! I have saved every e-mail correspondence I had with them. So I have proof that my story is true! I am so done with this machine and want to make sure that other people never have to go through the same issues I have! THEREFORE THIS WARNING: NEVER EVER BUY AN LG!!

I purchased LG Appliance. It was the biggest mistake. Within months I started having problems with fridge and Stove, the dishwasher stopped working less than 1 year after I purchase, I did not follow up right away, when I called they told me the warranty is only for 1 year that I would have to pay for the technician and if the part is warranted they will send to technician. I told them I would rather toss their awful product and buy a GE. I will never buy LG again. They are substandard. Not worth the high price they charge. I usually buy GE but decided to try LG because I like the features of their fridge. They look good but they are not good. BUY GE (General Electric) instead. They last for years and is a much better quality. Buyer beware. LG appliance sucks!!! They dont even deserve a star but I have to check 1.

7 year-old LDF7810ST (with very little use until recently) gave LE code. Replaced motor & since old part was riveted shut, husband drilled it open to take a look: what a mess. This must have been a defective part from the beginning and ultimately made a terrible grinding noise like it was chewing up silverware, however, it was just the motor grinding itself into pieces. Re-assembled & still wouldnt operate. He checked wiring & voltages, only to find that the noise filter has a 120V black wire and white wire coming in one end of the filter and coming out the white wire is 120V. He cant figure out how this ran in the first place, but has anyone else noted this problem? Do we throw good money after bad & keep trying to fix this sad excuse for a dishwasher?

Tried to find one that was rated good in Consumer Affairs. I have had this pair for about 5 years. I looked at consumer feedback to find one that was rated well. They seem to do ok. I dont like the odor coming from the washer when you have the door closed too long, so I always leave it open when not in use. I look for capacity, energy efficiency, discounts, brand, quality. How fast they will come out and repair if it breaks down. I look for quality and price has to enter in on it. Most expensive is not always what I want. It may not have the features I want. I want and need large size that keeps working.

LG is by far the worst refrigerator you can buy. It failed in 4 years due to a badly designed linear compressor. LG didnt ship the correct parts. They outsource it all to A and E appliance who is also an incompetent company whos scheduling is so bad its been two weeks and I still dont have a working refrigerator. They dont care at all. I cant even express the hoops I have jumped through and hours of talking on the phone that I have had to endure. I was holding on out of principle but the refrigerator is now heading to the landfill. LG gaskets for French door model never sealed properly when I bought a few years ago. The gaskets would sometimes keep door from closing completely, but light and warning beeper would deactivate. Many times we would come back to refrigerator finding one door slightly ajar. LG help desk said to firmly close it and this was due to a tight, but normal fit. They were no help. Now, the top door gaskets have torn on both sides. LG said it has been over 1 year and I am s.o.l. They said there have not been any recalls and it has never been a problem. I went to appliance store and every make & model of refrigerators including LG had a new design of the gasket with a flap on top and bottom of gasket. LG said that my refrigerator gaskets can be replaced, but they are the original design. I contacted one of the certified LG repair service and they gave me a quote of $250 to replace gaskets. When I checked online, other owners of LG models like mine have had similar problems. I ordered both gaskets for $74 shipping included and installed them myself after viewing a YouTube demo. It was really easy and took about 15 minutes. Dont bother with LG customer service, it is a waste of time. LG does not mean Life is Good. It means Lucky Gold Star and you really need the luck for this appliance because quality & customer service has been deleted.

In May 2016 we purchased a Kenmore side by side door in door refrigerator. Little did we know that it was actually a LG refrigerator with a Kenmore label. The Refrigerator stopped working in July of 2018 after just a little over two years. We called Sears Service, and got the bad news that our warranty was for only one year. The repair would cost $800. We foolishly went ahead and trusted them to repair it promptly. It took them 3 weeks to order parts and schedule a technician. The technician did a poor job and the new compressor was making noise and not cooling. They had to reorder parts and another technician which took another 4 weeks. The second technician eventually fixed it. Now we are keeping our fingers crossed to see how long it will work.

After 20 months my LG fridge with an inverter linear compressor failed. LG customer service is terrible, as I have to wait 7 days for a tech to look at the fridge to determine the failure.... it’s the compressor... No cooling in both freezer and fridge compartments, all fans are running. I’m one of many unsatisfied customers! Had I known the reliability of the inverter compressor was this low I would have purchased the fridge! I hope there are some lawyers out there with similar failure of their fridge and consider a class action law suit against LG Electronics. The inverter compress design is faulty and all customers should be given the choice of having it fixed (only to fail again in 18 months) or a total refund of our purchase. My LG washer turned itself on when I was not at home. It filled up with water and because it was not in a cycle the door wasnt locked so the pressure from the water pushed the door open and the water continued to pour out. I came home to my house being flooded, water went through my vents and into my crawlspace. When the repairman came he witnessed the washer doing it all over again! I called LG, they told me to get 2 estimates, send them pictures, fill out documents and send them my old parts and I did. I thought they were going to help. I am now going into my 6th week of them leading me on to believe they are going to help me. They keep saying they have to do testing then they said they had to send the main control panel to Korea for further testing. I have over 30,000 in damages, my daughter is allergic to mold and not one person at LG gives a hoot! I am setting my LG washer & dryer at the end of my driveway (its 3 years old) I will never ever purchase anything with those initials on it again! Their customer service is as bad as their product! Oh it also leaks water from underneath during wash cycle too. The lady asked me at one point what cycle was your washer in when it leaked. If I could I would have NO STAR - We’ve had nothing but bad luck with our LG appliances- first of all our dishwasher -the control panel went haywire 5 months after we got it- well that happened 2 more times since. When we built our home we also bought an LG gas range, refrigerator and microwave. So last year we went to Alaska and when we came home in August the stove control panel also had gone haywire. You cannot properly read the numbers that tell you the temperature/time so when you set the temperature you have no idea what youre setting it to. Called LG and after hours on the phone with them to get it repaired they did NOTHING. Our cost to find out by the repairman (we paid for) that to fix it we would spend more than what a new oven would cost. It is barely over a year old and possibly failed prior to being a year old! 2 days ago we woke up to our LG French door refrigerator inside as warm as our room temperature and everything inside ruined. It is just barely 2 years old! Called LG for repairs- ended up having to get our own repair guy, and it has a bad compressor, won’t read codes, and needs a new control board. The repairman said it’s an extensive repair and could possibly fail again easily (read class action law suit on them). Called LG back and now we have to wait to hear from Service Power to see if anyone can fix it. They offered NOTHING for the loss of food but would send us up to $200 for a mini fridge- and he’d send us an email for doing so- still waiting for that. These appliances cost thousands of dollars! Buyer Beware!!! They are junk!

Its such a shame that the summer is going to finish and my mom couldnt use her fridge for 2 months. I wonder if LGs customer service has any ideas about living without a fridge in the summer time at all??? Its while my mom paid about $4000 for an useless huge box to sit in her kitchen! Thats not acceptable, frustrating and were not only gonna stop buying LG products, but also well get a lawyer to fix this problem ASAP!!!!

LFX21960** everything melted, they are sending someone out???? LG Refrigerator Class Action Lawsuit. A design defect in certain LG refrigerator models causes the interior light to stay on after the doors are closed, resulting in overheating, food spoilage, melted plastic and risk of serious fire hazard, according to a class action lawsuit filed in federal court in New Jersey. The defect alleged in the lawsuit involves French door refrigerator models sold since 2005.. I was not informed of the lawsuit and it has been settled. Ugggg.

We have had this machine for perhaps 2 years. I dislike that you cannot wash a very small load or ER, cannot add water first, and over the last many months have been constantly getting WE flags. Loads are now taking 2 to 3 hours to do if I dont stand by and monitor. I have tried all the simple fixes but today was the last straw. One set of king sheets, 4 pillow cases and 2 hand towels 6 ER flags so far 2:10 minutes, switched over to just spin after machine shut down and still got 2 ER flags. This machine does not clean any better than the past machines Ive had without all the bells and whistles. I would take back my old Roper machine that ran for 16 years up to the time I sold my home and never broke once. In fact that is what Ill be doing in the near future back to a machine with no bells and whistles. LG I am sooo disappointed in this product.

I bought this three years ago after doing a lot of research. I never thought I would need to buy more of a warranty for this unit. Two people and basic regular use it’s not working anymore. I lost all the food in my freezer and likely the fridge. I’ve checked under the unit and checked the coils and the fan is blowing and the air coming out is really not cold. My freezer is approx 40 degrees. Really sucks to spend so much and have nothing three years later. My last was an Amana and lasted a long time! So disappointed????

The refrigerator had touch screen features, good temperature functions, and enough room for all my groceries. The height and width was good, as well as the space it took up. I would improve the amount of time the warranty lasts and probably more cost effective. The cost is pretty high for some of the products, however, I enjoy the appliance. I chose this brand because its a well known brand and everything works well as expected. Im a fan of other products from LG and they work great. Great purchase and easy to use.

After over 25 minutes on the phone I found out the service call for LG Service Repair will be $338.00 for parts and home visit. All I needed was a less than $5.00 French Door spring replaced and I know the repair would have taken less than 5 minutes. This is VERY expensive. So we ordered part from another retailer and will do it ourselves. This is over the top expensive. Love my LG appliances but not the cost of a service call. This is OUTRAGEOUS. Hope LG reads this!

The knobs were broken. Originally, I thought it was just my stove. I have since found out that this is an enormous problem for LG. I returned home over Thanksgiving to smell gas. My elderly mother had made some tea while I was at the store. She was visiting for the holiday and was unfamiliar with the stove. She thought she had turned it off, but because the knobs were spinning on the posts, the stove only appeared to be off. It was in fact filling the room with gas. While I was opening the windows, my mother was apologizing while rushing to the stove to turn it off in her embarrassment. Knowing what was about to happen, I lurched across the room and grabbed her hand before she reached the stove.Of course, if she had turned the knob at that time, it would have passed the ignition point and exploded the gas that was filling the room. Instead, I left the gas on at its lowest setting while opening all the doors and windows. 10 minutes later, when I aired the kitchen, I crouched down and turned off the stove. I wrote LG six weeks ago and they have not responded. I think many people would do what my mother nearly did and exploded their house. This product is deadly. It is just a matter of time before it kills people. LG needs to proactively seek out every stove with this defect and fix it or recall the product.

I have Model WT1101CW LG washing machine and can say with total honesty that this is the worse machine I have ever owned. It goes out of balance so many times during the wash cycle that it takes hours to wash a load. It keeps filling with water to try to rebalance itself so it wastes water and ultimately we end up stopping it with the clothes still wet to dry them because it will not spin them out. We spent over $400 dollars on repairs already and it still doesnt work. UE, UE, UE I am so sick of that code. Dont buy this machine!!!

I called LG service department to warranty my dishwasher pump motor for loud grind, knock noise and found my warranty void due to me diagnosing my own dishwasher (my factory warranty will only cover the part not labor). I offered to send the motor to LG confirm default in pump and I offered to pay a LG service tech to diagnose and confirm the problem with the pump motor and let LG refund me for the service call after confirmation of default, but turned down for both. My only option would have been to pay labor for diagnosis and repair to receive my warranty part for a 6-year-old dishwasher, but does not matter now. My warranty is voided because I diagnosed the problem myself and cant afford to pay to do what I can. Will Never Buy LG Again.

December 2008 we bought the pair of LG front load washer/dryer model of washer WM1333HW at Corbeil Electro. Weve made several complaints to LG about the problems with both machines in summer 2013. They send the Oxebo service company to repair both. For the washer they had to come 3 times, drain was not fixed properly and machine was doing awful lots of noise. They did came to fix the drain (after it had ruined my wood floor, without no compensation) but they never fixed the noise, they said it was normal even though it wasnt doing so much noise before.During the autumn 2014, the noise was getting more and more intense and was literally eating and ripping the clothes (the babys clothes were disappearing or getting ripped and the leftovers were found through the drain at each wash). I then did another service call on February 24, 2015 to LG, they said I would have to pay a fix price for each problem (about 200$ per problem for the noise, the eating of clothes and the drain). I decide to do nothing thinking it was too expensive. In April 2015, now the washer is no longer working, pieces were coming out of the drain, I called LG service again, but this time they said they wouldnt repair the machine at a fixed price. I had to call Oxebo service company myself and pay for time and material. When I asked why they wouldnt do the repair because I called a month before, they said the rules have been changed for this machine. I asked what this meant and the lady answered that for this serial number they wouldnt do the repair... I then asked to speak with a manager and the lady said he would call back in 48 hours, but after 2 weeks he never did.My thinking is that they know the washer had a problem to begin with, the company that repaired it did not repaired properly and the machine is broken and no one at LG wants to take responsibility for it. I dont mind paying for the repair, but they should at least offer to repair it since they know it wasnt repair properly a year ago.

Bought Sears Kenmore Model 795*77319600 (During troubleshooting I discovered this unit was made by LG for Sears!) in Oct 2007. Sequence of failure(s): 1st) Nov 2007 Upper freezer drawer basket rail bracket tabs crack - I used nylon zip ties to hold basket in place. 2nd) Apr 2008: Lower freezer drawer bin divider cracked at top edge. - Lived with defect, hoping it would hold. Repaired crack by splicing it with a plastic reinforcement plate in Aug 2014. 3rd) June 2010: Refrigerator lights fail, no plastic melted, nor food spoilage - I researched and found numerous similar customer complaints and LG recommended fix. I removed light cover lens, and both light bulbs, and used fridge w/o light! 4th) July 2014: Freezer no longer makes ice, progressively temperature gets warmer, then refrigerator starts to stay warm - Decided not to involve Sears Customer Service for repair, but rather do it myself. $1200 fridge/freezer should not die @ 7 years! I did some research, found a similar model service manual online, did some troubleshooting of the cooling/freezing system - sensor(s), and defrost timer. Found R134a to be too low. Fixed it myself for $35. Maybe I can get 7 more years @ $5 per year out of this LG piece of junk! I sympathize with my fellow Americans. Consumer trust has declined due to cheap poorly designed products... Whats the reason? Greed, Lack of Pride, Lack of Accountability. Make junk so we can buy more sooner? What would our ancestors think?
