Received today. Make sure you are aware that this microwave is not a standard size opening. Although it is a standard width 24 inch (with a rough opening on 22 1/8 and overlapping sides to give some wiggle room), the rough opening height is 14 13/16, which is smaller than most. There is no overhang lip on the bottom and only a minimal 1/4 inch at most on the top so your maximum opening to not have gaps is about 15 inches. I had to use a 3/4 inch piece of cabinetry to fill the void. You can see it in the picture. It should be hidden by the counter overhang. Probably not an issue if you are designing your cabinets to accommodate this beforehand. Get the installation manual from Zline or find it only. Will update the function after using it but it is very nice looking and was extremely well packaged and a good value relative to other drawer microwaves.

Microwave has a lot of space. You can pretty much fit an entire chicken if you wanted to with plenty of leftover space. It has plenty of power. I did however found that the popcorn feature leaves a several more kettle corn un-pop compare to my old microwave. The fan pushes a lot of air when cooking which is a nice feature since my old microwave did not have enough power to push all air out.

I am writing for my mother. She was using an Electrolux microwave on Tuesday night and it caught fire. Fire department stated it was electrical. She is elderly with major health problems. She attempted to put the fire out; however, unable to contain the fire she called 911. Luckily, she made it out of the house, although she was not able to normally without help. She is currently staying with us. I cannot believe the extent of the damage in her house. She is displaced for two months until it is rebuilt/cleaned. The emotional turmoil she has been through (and us) has been tremendous. I am losing pay meeting with the contractors, etc. She is unable to return due to a lung condition she has until all the damage has been repaired. I will be pursuing damages and I am not a person to complain about "life's unfortunate circumstances." However, this is beyond stressful (she also just lost her husband). Hopefully this situation will be resolved.

I own a GE turntable microwave. I've had it for over 10 years and it is still going strong. I purchased it because of the capacity, the color, the wattage and features. The wattage in this microwave is amazing. It doesn't take long for things to heat up. I highly recommend this brand because it is so durable and the wattage it has. The features on the microwave are easy to access and has more features than I normally use. To have this microwave for so long and it's still works just like I purchased it yesterday. Great job GE for providing an excellent product.

LG microwave quit working 1 1/2 years after purchase! I also bought a refrigerator at the same time!! Called LG support and was given a number for a repair service. Called Tarheel Appliance and Repair and was quoted $70 for someone to come out plus the cost of repairing the microwave which was going to put the cost well over $100! Tarheel Appliance suggested that I call LG back to see if they would extended the warranty since the microwave was just out of warranty. I was told that the warranty would not be extended!! Do not by an LG microwave! Quality is not there!! My previous microwave I had lasted over 15 years. I also bought a wireless LG headset that has quit working in 6 months too!!

Called about our upteenth issue with our Maytag microwave. Was told the part was covered but we would have to pay for service. The last tech told us how to wiggle the part to make it work. Paid a fortune and it broke again. They do not care about customers!!

This microwave is really a nice item to have and is very easy to use. All the items you can use in a microwave is overwhelming and a welcome use to the kitchen from melting butter to making a bake potato in a microwave. Great cooking item.

We installed a Samsung SMH9187 over cook top microwave in August 2009. I liked the 5 speed fan. The low speed was quieter than others at low speed. Controls stopped working August 2012 so I replaced membrane touch pad - a 3 year life. Now May 2013 (0.75 years later) and no response from touch pad. I just solved the problem. The problem of lack of response to control pad (a membrane switch) was to separate two sections of the control pad cable. The membrane switch type control panel was a film cable that connects to the circuit board. A 7-wire piece folds back on the cable, causing confusion for the control system on the PC board. The solution was to insert a small rolled up paper tube to separate the two cable sections. To test this I removed the paper tube and clipped the cable pieces tightly together. The controls became unresponsive. Separating the cable sections again restored function. This is a quirk in the Samsung design. It may have been unnecessary to replace the first membrane switch ($19). When the new switch was installed, by chance the two cable pieces were separated just enough to work. Then over time they moved together, initially causing some problems, then later total non-function. This problem may cause one to push hard on the buttons to make it work, possibly damaging the switch.Step by Step Instructions: 1. Unplug microwave for safety; 2. Remove 2 vent cover retaining screws from top front of microwave; 3. Push vent cover left to unhook and remove; 4. Remove screw on top of control panel box; 5. Push control panel box up to unhook and remove. No need to disconnect anything; 6. Insert a rolled up tube of paper 2" to 3" between folded back 7-connector piece and the main cable; 7. Re-install control box and test. Then re-install vent cover.I'm amazed at all these problems people are having. One would think Samsung would help, but it seems they hide behind "warranty is up" so call a repairperson. Our last phone purchase was Nokia, not a Samsung, as I have lost faith in the brand.

The handle on our Microwave/hood broke one year ago and was replaced under an extended warranty. It broke again, same exact place as the first one less than a year in use by a household of two. No warranty coverage this time. When I contacted C/S their response was “I’ll be happy to schedule a service call, however it will be at your expense. I push back and the best I could do was a 50% discount on the part." When done I will spend approx 225.00 for parts and labor. When I questioned the possibility of a design problem, I was told that if there was they would have heard of it... Terrible design, terrible C/S answer, terrible Corp approach to a problem. This microwave was not inexpensive but the parts may well be of poor quality. I can’t not recommend Electrolux at this time.

We ordered the Samsung microwave when we built our home. Money was tight so we found one of the least expensive microwaves. We have now been in our home 15 years and the Samsung is still working well, however, not as well as it did when it was new. I have noticed that I have to add time to heat. But for the price and look, when it does finally go out, I will look at purchasing another Samsung.
