We bought a Samsung 4 door refrigerator. It stopped cooling and when the repair man came to fix it, Samsung tech service stated it was unrepairable. They stated that your refrigerator was defective. We were told to contact customer service and have sent in the required information 5 times. They keep cancelling our tickets and giving us the run around. Very poor product and worst customer service.

I recently had problems with a 5 year old Samsung refrigerator. To my surprise, most repairman refuse to work on Samsung appliances. In fact the first three turned me down and the forth said unfortunately he works on them. After hearing all of them tell me about how bad they are and referred to them as money pits, I decided to cut my losses. I have never run across a product so berated by people in that industry. The sad thing is everyone still pushes them instead of standing up and refusing to sell.

Bought this Samsung dishwasher DW80F800UWS only 6 months ago and have had to call 3 times for servicing for various issues. The first was a broken door latch, second was noises from the pump and not cleaning correctly and finally it stopped draining. For the cost of this dishwasher, there are way too many issues. I will say that Samsung does send a tech out promptly but that doesnt alleviate the frustration of having to call them so many times for repairs in such a short time frame. I wouldnt recommend this dishwasher.

I have Samsung Dishwasher. It was having problems of not completing the wash cycle during warranty period. It took couple of visits for technician to repair the problem. But it was fixed temporarily. After 3-4 months dishwasher has again same problem. Now they are telling warranty is over and they cannot repair under warranty. This is faulty product and have seen many customers complaining about same problem. Hope they had replaced the unit while had the issue during warranty or repaired it properly. Very disappointed with Samsungs customer service???

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator (Model # RF323TEDBSR) less than two years ago and have had three repairs. The latest annoyance was the loud cycling sounds that came from the unit and stopped temporarily when you opened the door. The tech said it is the fan icing up in the back of the unit and replaced. Here we are about 8 months later and it starts up again. Not impressed with Samsung appliances and will never purchase one again.

We have had MANY issues with our Samsung refrigerator that is LESS than 5 yrs old and cost OVER $3000!! Over the past year, the fan and refrigeration coils behind the back panel FREQUENTLY ice up, causing the fan to stop cooling the fridge, and therefore spoiling all the food. We then have to move any salvageable food into coolers to allow the fridge to completely defrost. This happens every month or so, since the issues began, and we are not alone by any means if you research reviews on the web.It is model RF28HFEDBSR/AA with French Doors, icemaker/water dispenser and a Bottom Freezer. BUYER BEWARE. Samsung does not assume ANY responsibility for their faulty products, hence the class action lawsuit in USA which started in 2010, and the internet is FULL of angry, disappointed consumers with the exact same stories. Samsungs service bulletin regarding the issue recommends replacing more parts, but at your own expense, and without evidence of even resolving the issues to consumers satisfaction. I would strongly advise steering clear of any Samsung refrigerator, and plan to boycott them myself in any future purchases!!

We bought this at HHGregg in June 2015 for $2000. Thought it would be our last refrigerator. No such luck! Nine months after buying it, it started making loud noises and freezing up inside the back wall. For all practical purposes, their customer service is non existent! Got passed from one to the other, asking the same questions over and over, like the model #, serial #, etc. Asked irrelevant things like how many Samsung products we owned. Then said it probably wasnt level and to look under it! Totally insane! Got nowhere so called the store that sold it to us and they finally got in touch with a rep who set up the repair. Thought that was the end of it but three months later, around July 1st this year, the clanging noise returned and it wasnt cooling properly! Same problem with icing and fan. Now it is one month out of warranty! Called previous repair company and they couldnt come for over two weeks! Tried Angies List and Home Advisor. Got call backs but they stated outright that they wouldnt work on Samsung appliances because of shoddy workmanship and numerous problems! Finally got someone to look at it. He tested it and said two motherboards were burnt out, along with needing new fan, thermostats (plural), etc. Said parts come from overseas and could take months and it would be over $1000 to fix, with no guarantee it would last! We cant go without a refrigerator so ended up junking it and buying a new one. Not Samsung! Never again! So for 13 months, we had a pretty appliance that doesnt work! These obviously should have been recalled! Were back to the top freezer model, recommended by the repairman and this time bought a 4 year warranty. Its disgusting that they can sell such junk and are not stopped! It was an expensive $2100 mistake!

We purchased a set of Samsung kitchen appliances. Unfortunately, we purchased these before we moved into our home and shortly after we began to use the appliances, the warranty on some of the appliances had expired. Fortunately, the microwave had a longer warranty and we were able to have that fixed without charge. The dishwasher on the other hand had been one issue after another. We have had to make 3 service calls at our expense and the problem is not yet fixed. We have already spent enough to have purchased another dishwasher - and all we have to show is a broken dishwasher that can not wash a load of dishes. Very disappointed with this dishwasher and after reading the reviews of water soaked floors, I am afraid to risk having it looked at for the 4th repair... Probably better off to just purchase a new dishwasher, but what a waste of money this has been.

We bought a model s201 from Home Depot on 10/4 13 for $628. We had 3 service calls while under warranty in the 1st year for sensor fan problems. On 7/30/15, it would not turn on. We contacted Samsung and they said it could be a temp. sensor. We called the repair service. They said a service call would cost $109. We bought a Samsung 26-cubic ft. French Door Fridge that was manufactured July 2011. It was installed in October 2011. After 12 months of use, the fan motor broke and the fridge vents iced up. This led to the temperature in the fridge going up, and all our food spoiling. We had bought the fridge through Sears, and had an extended warranty. After 6 weeks, Sears could not source a replacement fan motor from Samsung. We have heard that Samsung only makes a refrigerator model for about 3 years or less, then changes it. They rarely make spare parts, and if they do, they are hard to get. We are going to get a new fridge because Sears cannot source a part for our one year old fridge. Im amazed that such a small part is going to render our fridge useless. What a waste of a fridge, and what a disappointment in Samsung, who we thought would build a good product. This was a $2,300 fridge and should last more than a year, and should have available parts. A very good example of the low quality of appliances these days.

We purchased a 3 door Samsung refrigerator Jan, 4 2016. The ice maker drips water through the ice dispenser and several times ice has lodged in the maker preventing new ice to drop and consequently build up ice. The repairman says this is a common complaint and we can either replace the ice maker ($500), shut the entire refrigerator down for 48 hours to let everything thaw or use a hair dryer to try to help the thawing process. He says it is an engineering flaw involving the air flow. Of course once you melt the ice it will happen again. I paid $3000 for this appliance and based on the amount of bad reviews I just now read regarding Samsung refrigerators, Samsung should for pay for this consistent problem to be repaired.

Less than 2 months after this was delivered rust has developed all around the water and ice dispenser. We called Samsung and they promised a replacement door. It never arrived. It is now 6 months later and they now claim they never replace products for cosmetic damage. So, basically they are saying that it is perfectly normal for a $3000+ refrigerator to rot away in less than a year and that this is expected wear and tear. In addition the ice maker has quit functioning. If you call support and get Shatavia, an executive for escalation, assuming you had the patience to wait on hold for an hour - just hang up. She is useless for help. She will obsequiously apologize and then basically tell you that she isnt going to do anything to address the fact that you just flushed your money down the toilet. In summary in the past year I have had the following products from Samsung fail: 1: refrigerator: rusted door and failed ice maker. 2: dish washer: Water level sensor warnings. Unable to complete a wash cycle. Works maybe one time in 8. 3: Galaxy Note 2 : exploded, bursting the screen while charging overnight. Not one of these products did Samsung stand behind. So, if you have several thousand dollars just lying around, and you simply feel your life simply wont be complete without products that rust, quit, or exploded at random, then by all means buy Samsung. For the rest of us not quite ready for the crazy bin, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator in 2013. 2-Door Side By Side with Model # RS263TD1BP. This refrigerator was manufactured in 2012 which has a design problem. Ice builds around the cooling coils which allows the refrigerator to completely shutdown. The refrigerator only maintains temperatures at the bottom, and is hot throughout all levels of the unit. Apparently the sensor that is attached to the cooling system which does not regulate the system to adjust after it reaches a certain temperature. A service repairman removed the back panel and had to take a steamer to defrost the ice. It took over 55 minutes to defrost the ice and replace the back panel. This is a design and manufacturing problem. Samsung knew that this problem exist, but continues to put this product on the market for customers to purchase. The warranty states that this should be covered, but Samsung refuses to acknowledge that this issue is not covered, and is left up to the customer to pay for their mistake. I have contacted Samsung over 25 times, and cant get to the Executive Level. I am sharing my level of frustration because the average lifetime of any household appliance should be longer than 3 years. Refrigerators are suppose to last. This is a design problem and all of these refrigerators should be RECALLED! Customers that purchased the SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR THAT HAS THE BOTTOM PULL OUT FREEZER EXPERIENCE THIS PROBLEM several years ago and their units were replaced. Apparently, the problem is now existing in the 2-door side by side units as well.THERE IS A MALFUNCTION WITH THE COOLING SYSTEM. ICE BUILDS UP AROUND THE COPPER COILS WHICH CAUSES THE REFRIGERATOR TO stop regulating temperatures evenly throughout the refrigerator. The top and middle of the refrigerator is extremely hot and the bottom is extremely cold. Samsung should issue a recall of these appliances because they knew it was defected before putting these refrigerators on the market.Samsung Refrigerators are not constructed very well and apparently, this product does not have longevity. Too many consumers are complaining about this particular product. If complaints are being made, Samsung is aware of this malfunction and should take total responsibility and implement a recall. Samsung knew that this product was defective. A refrigerator is a household appliance that should last about on the average of 15-20 years. I sought out to buy a new refrigerator, a Samsung not because of need but desire. I was remodeling my kitchen, and I owned an Amana for 17 years. AND - this refrigerator never had one problem.

Did anyone ever hear of this happening... I woke yesterday morning early to hear crack pop noises in my kitchen. I was flipping scared thinking we had a mouse. So we proceeded to take the stuff from the cupboards out to check, nothing and I still hear the noise. So Im home alone at this point and decided to get my shoes on and run and prepare for the mouse as I pull out the stove. As I pull out the stove and look behind I see sparks and a little bit of smoke. Its my STOVE SPARKING Not a mouse. The sparks were coming right from the cord. How scary I almost was electrocuted or could have lost my house in a fire. Now my house is built in 2006 so wiring is new. The sparks were coming from the stove not my wall outlet... The stove is the Samsung Chef Collection ne58h9970ws. Was only purchased September 15, 2016. Not even a year old. Its all under warranty but dealing with Samsung has been nothing but a nightmare. We purchased the oven in 2016 with a convection feature which we initially really liked & used the convection part almost exclusively. In 2019 I saw a flash of light which I thought was flames coming from the back of the stove. I immediately turned the Oven off & the flames disappeared. Since then we had 3 issues where the convection oven got much hotter than the temperature display indicated & burned the food. We had a repairman come out who determined that the oven temperature was 27 degrees hotter than what the temperature indicator showed. He adjusted the range to lower the temperature 27 degrees to match the range indicator. All of these incidents happened with the convection feature. We stopped using it & only used the regular baking feature. Four days later, my sister was baking a meatloaf at 350 degrees. 15 minutes before it should have been done, it looked like it was already done & before she could take it out of the oven a loud explosion occurred shattering the glass baking dish into pieces. Needless to say, we do not trust this range and will never buy another Samsung appliance!

Samsung dishwasher dw80f800uws purchased 2/14 stopped working and emitted an error code on 3/25/16. (Note, 2 days before my Easter brunch). Samsung service center called and I went over error code and how that didnt seem to be the problem. I was told my best bet would be to buy a $300 service extended warranty, which I did, and they would contact a local approved appliance repair company and have them contact me. The service call provided no answer as he also found nothing that related to the error code. He returned another time to vacuum out the stale water (smells awful inside now) and said he will order every part that it might take to fix and it could be as long as 2 months. I smiled and said no way. He replied Oh yes. There are at least nine other customers waiting on parts I was later told. I was shocked- never have I ever had to wait that long for any appliance repair in all my years. As an avid cook and baker I am beyond frustrated. I am currently shopping a replacement and wish I never purchased the service warranty. Is this the norm for Samsung across the nation? What poor customer service after the purchase.

We purchased a Samsung French-door refrigerator two years ago. After the first year, water started accumulating beneath the lower drawer and freezing, making the drawer increasingly hard to slide in/out. I have emailed Samsungs customer service department twice with specific details of the issue (model#, serial#). I have gotten zero reply except for spam marketing messages, since they now have my email address. We finally called their local authorized service (Asian-owned) and described the problem, and they immediately knew the fix -- a defective water valve on rear of refrigerator. They offered to repair it but the cost would be over $200. If this is a part that fails regularly, Samsung should issue a recall instead of sending us advertisements to buy more of their inferior-quality appliances.

Our Samsung refrigerator RFG298HDRS stopped dispensing water. At first I could remove the 4 month old filter and put it back in and the dispenser worked for 2 weeks. Every 2 weeks I would do this. Finally I replaced the filter and it would not give us any water at all. I was using Samsung filters Model DA29-00020B. Samsung tech the first time had me checking the 2 ice makers that would not work. They told me I had knock off filters from Amazon. Then I took the filter out and tried the water everything began to work. Ice makers ran and water dispensed. Called Tech support again. The guy told me that this was the first thing they should have had me try. Since that works its a bad filter. Well. I have now purchased 7 filters spent over $200 and still NOTHING works. I have noticed that Samsung has changed the filter a little too. Different label, Smaller center hole than the original for water to enter the filter however even the larger hole filters which I still had did not work.... Also the literature in the new filters boxes is not accurate. It states to put the replacement label date on the installed filter which there are NO longer any labels supplied and it also states to remove the BLUE cap... The cap is white. Even after buying the filters at Lowes they do not work. Samsung swears to me the fridge is ok since it works without the filter.... I have a tech coming out in 2 weeks the soonest they could arrive. But the techs tell me Samsung does not provide support for them in trouble shooting either. Samsung needs to change the way they do business! As much as they charge for these refrigerators, this is consumer robbery. My fridge is only 3 years old.

Our 2-yr old RF197 has failed 4 times. At the first failure, at the one year point of ownership (the minute the warranty expired) and after a lot of time spent badgering Samsung, they agreed to pay for fixing the ice-backing up on the interior back, and stopping the water collecting on the fridge floor. But the repair didnt work. Again back to badgering Samsung - a terrible, terrible company. I hear there is a class action lawsuit; we plan to get in on that now. Also our atty. is pressing Samsung corporate starting today. Outrageous, because it has broken again! We paid $1300 for this junk in 2011! Recently, we arranged with them to receive a prorated refund to discard/return to them this lemon. They agreed. Yesterday, a new, very rude, sweet-voiced stumbling employee in the exec office, reading off a sheet that had nothing to do with this case said, Not approved even though we have sent the receipt properly and were told (and it is recorded on our ans. machine) that they were in the process of arranging the refund. Avoid this company! We plan - and please all of you do the same - to report to BBB and to our state Attorney General Dept of Consumer Affairs. This could be rampant fraud by Samsung and needs to be investigated. Tell everyone you know, to exert widespread political pressure. When in the store, tell others looking to buy to avoid Samsung. Check your state: many states require a better warranty than that granted by Samsungs warranty and you may have more rights than that limited Samsung warranty. Best of luck to everyone. What a racket. Our previous 2 refrigerators lasted 25 years with not one repair! We will post what we find out.

The authorized repair person was hired through Sears who showed up in week 2. The repair person notified us that the issue is with twin cooling system and it is a known issue. He added that to identify the leak, he needs to use a die test developed by Whirlpool. However, Samsung will not let them use this troubleshooting tool. If used, it would nullify Samsungs 5-year warranty on the twin cooling system. So $225 later, we were told to contact Samsung for repair. We ended up calling Samsung Customer Service three times. First time, they told us to call the same repair shop (A&E Factory Service). We said that A&E had already been on site. Then we were given the phone number for a second shop. That shop (Affordable Appliances) would not return our calls (5) or Samsungs (at a later time). Next time, we were told to call another repair shop which ends up being a Samsung TV authorized shop. On next call, we were told to wait for a call back from Executive Customer Service desk. The call came in many days later. They ensured us that they will work on identifying a repair shop. Couple of days later, Sammy rep called asking for a copy of purchase receipt. A copy was faxed the same day. We are still waiting for Samsung rep to call us back with a plan of action to fix this 3-year old fridge. Meanwhile, our home warranty team has been trying to find a repair shop who would work on Sammy fridge. They went through Sears to bring in a second tech. A second repair appointment was made to bring in a higher (supervisor) level tech. A week later, the same tech showed up. He advised us that he will do as his ticket instructs him. But without having Sammys authorization to use Whirlpool part to identify leak, he might not be able to help us. Two and half hours later, he left with no diagnosis (or fix).We directly hired another shop from a different town to repair the fridge. This tech came up with same conclusion that the problem must be Low/no coolant due to a possible leak. However, with Samsungs restrictions, he can easily identify the leak. So far, we have spent the following: $500 in spoiled food, $400 in tech visit, $500 in purchase of a utility fridge for garage, and more than a thousand for eating out every day. There is still no end in sight! Here is what we will do in our case: stay focus, keep calling Sammy to identify an authorized local repair shop, keep track of our communications with Sammy, and we will not give up on getting this unit repaired or replaced under warranty (from any party).I am a professional engineer with background in global product development and manufacturing with emphasis on quality. I have worked with (not for) Samsung in the past. Samsung is good, if not better than most companies in product development. Most other companies have outsourced their product design and/or manufacturing to 3rd tier companies in Asia. What we have here is a design related issue that surfaces any time between first and third year (based on all blogs). Samsung would not acknowledge the problem to avoid recall action. In situations like this, the legal team is in the driver seat to minimize the cost of recall and other associated expenses. In situations like this, the brand/company involved will try to drag the engagement as long as they can. This way, some of the customer will drop off and replace their units on their own. Some will pay to get their products fixed. Others will receive a full or partial payment from Brand/Company for repairs. Limited few might get some level of assistance with product replacement.

I have Samsung side by side fridge. It’s about 28 cubic feet! My freezer goes from -20 to 10 degrees back and forth ruining my food! My fridge goes from freezing food at 25-ruining food at 65 degrees. This has happened since day one that I bought it 4 months ago. I keep on having to throw out tons of food and Samsung don’t care! They will NOT help!

We bought this nice new French door refrigerator in 2009 from Lowes. Fast forward to 2011, we were moving and out of town. We came home to a refrigerator that had quit cooling. It was running but not cooling and there were loads of flies. Aside from being very ticked off, we cleaned it out, lost several hundreds of dollars in food. We have contacted Lowes several times and they cannot find the sale which doesnt matter; it has a sticker on it showing the mfg date. We live in a very rural area. Twice now, Lowes has been contacted about finding a service person and they would get back to us and never do. We were told by an appliance company here locally that this is the normal life of Samsung refrigerators, and Im finding this to be true. Anybody looking at more class action suits against them? There have been at least one due to them knowingly selling appliances with bad compressors from what I have read.

I called Samsung customer service to find out what I can do for my stove that displays an error code and will not work. I was told by the rep to unplug it then plug it back in. I did that and it still wouldnt work. I was referred to another department that tried to sell me a service plan for almost $300. That I cannot afford. I cant believe a stove less than 2 years old has this many problems. All I can say is buyers beware. Dont spend your hard earned money on this product if you are not prepared to shell out more money 1+ year later. I had an old stove that was purchased in the 60s that was so reliable. This is a downgrade from that. They should be embarrassed with this inferior product. I hope this review can save someone else from the frustration I feel.

Multiple service calls for icing up, seven in a two month period alone, until the problem was fixed. Then noticed discoloration of the doors appearing like a splashing, bubbling effect all over the front. No amount of polishing would take it away. The last service person to come said its a defect in the workmanship and that when the coating was placed over the stainless, air must have gotten in or the seal wasnt prepared properly and the problem of the unsightly look is coming from in between the coating and the stainless making it impossible to look clear no matter how much you polish the fridge. My extended service contract doesnt cover it from P.C. Richards as they say it is a Samsung workmanship defect from the factory. Samsung says they wont cover it because its past the warranty even though its THEIR manufacturers defect. This fridge cost a lot of money and is only four years old and the facade looks like a mess that no amount of polishing can fix. Samsung says sorry....... I say NEVER buy another Samsung product again.

It leaks, and Samsung is refusing to replace it. Dont believe their warranties, they will try their hardest to get out of actually doing anything. It failed with a LE code and a puddle of water. We called the same day, and the earliest the Samsung-contracted repair tech could come was a week later. Samsung doesnt contract with a real repair company, its something called General Appliance and Insurance Service. The tech showed up with no parts and almost no tools, and in a tiny car that couldnt haul a dishwasher. He pronounced that while he could see evidence of water (dried soap residue), he didnt see any water, so there was nothing he could do. Never mind that we live in a desert and it had been a week since it leaked. We got on the phone with 1-800-Samsung, who transfers you to Executive Service, which is the call center where they tell you jokes before giving you nothing. I told ** that the tech had been unable to find the leak and made no repairs. Given that nothing had been fixed on the unit, I said it would leak again and asked for a replacement unit. ** refused. He said it has to leak three times before they will replace it. The next day, it leaks again. We call it in, and now were waiting for the tech to come out and do nothing again, knowing weve got at least one more round of this circus before I can throw this piece of trash into their truck and get a decent dishwasher.

Samsung SMH9187 Microwave with SE error - Pro tip: Take a picture of the SE error displayed on your microwave if you plan to try to get Samsung to repair it. About two weeks ago, our microwave displayed the SE error code and began to beep every 15 minutes or so. I looked online for suggestions, and one of the first was to unplug the microwave and see if it resets. That made sense to me; most of us have encountered the occasional electronic gremlin. Unfortunately, I didnt think to take a picture of the SE error first. Ill explain later why that matters.Unplugging the microwave for a few minutes and plugging it in again, got rid of the SE error. Unfortunately, the microwave would then turn on by itself and attempt to cook an imaginary baked potato. It was like a ghost was pushing the baked potato button. I assume there is such a button, the display would read BAKED POTATO and the microwave would run. Not a good situation. We unplugged the microwave. I then researched further, and found that this is not an uncommon problem and a number of people were successfully getting this model of microwave with the SE error repaired free of charge.I called Samsung and related my story. I was given options for repair, each of which would cost me more money than I wanted to spend. When I countered that I had read Samsung was fixing the SE error, I was told that was true BUT I NO LONGER HAD THE SE ERROR. The customer service rep said I now had a different problem, the imaginary baked potato cooking problem. Frustrating. She then said perhaps I could plug my microwave in again and the SE error would return - worth a try. She gave me an issue ticket number for future use. I plugged the microwave in, and after stopping and clearing some baked potato cooking sessions, and a few hours of silence, the SE code reappeared. Success, in a manner of speaking, I took several pictures of the display showing the SE code.I called Samsung again. I gave them my ticket number, explained that I again had the SE code, and asked that they repair my microwave. They said okay immediately, but emphasized my consent that if the issue was something other than the SE error, it would cost me. I said fine, and explained I had pictures of the SE error to show the repair tech even if the microwave did not display the SE error when he arrived - which was the case. The tech came this morning and repaired the microwave this morning. Yes, I had to go through some hassle, but Samsung repaired my nearly four year old microwave at their expense. Thats pretty nice. (They repaired a more than four year old TV for me too, but thats another story.)

I purchased a Samsung Conventional Oven from Best Buy in August 2011. The stove worked great until now. I was preheating the oven to bake lasagna and could smell burning plastic. I looked in the oven to make sure there was nothing burning inside and there was nothing. As I closed the door and stepped back, sparks started shooting out of the stove top and smoke was everywhere. I had my two month old son and my three dogs with me in the kitchen. Luckily none of them were injured. The ash from the blowout was all over my kitchen. The breaker blew (thank god) and I immediately unplugged the stove. I could not see an obvious signs of a problem until I really looked at the back of the stove. Where the plug is connected was covered in black ash. I removed the panel to find that the area where the plug connects was completely melted.I have had this stove for almost four years now. THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED!! Im still scared to death that this could have caused a house fire or an injury to my son, myself or my dogs. I will be contacting Samsung to see what can be done. I have read horror stories about their customer support but I have my receipt and pictures to back me. This is UNACCEPTABLE!

We bought the dishwasher January 2011 and problems began in October 2011. We have had 4 different service visits with the 4th being today, March 20th 2011. It is still not fixed and now we are without a dishwasher since January 16th. Repairs have all been different, but the problem has been the same. The dishwasher stops mid-cycle and 2 lights blink. Their first repair over the phone was to turn off the breaker and try again. This did not help. Here is the timeline of repairs: 2011 - October 3, I called for appointment. October 24, repaired detergent latch. 2012 - January 16, I called for appointment. January 25, repaired drain pump. February 17, I called for appointment. March 15, replaced sump pump assembly. March 15, I called for appointment. March 20, I ordered something for the heater. This is getting absolutely absurd.

I will never buy another Samsung product again! The high-end dishwasher stopped working after three months! They gave us a run-around about the warranty. They tried to say it was an electrical issue and would not send a repair person out until we hired an electrician. The electrician we hired verified it was a bad control panel and not our fault. They finally sent out someone and they confirmed. They were supposed to come back in two weeks to install the new part. We have called over 20 times and Samsung does not return phone calls and claim they will help and then do not respond. They have horrible customer service. We were warned that they never stand behind their warranties, but we bought anyway. Big mistake on our part! We will never buy Samsung again! Please do not make the same mistake we did!

Last year, I bought an expensive top-of-the-line Samsung dishwasher. I thought this would be the best dishwasher I ever had. Boy, was I wrong. When my 15-year-old Sears Kenmore dishwasher died, it was doing a better job on dishes than this brand new $1000+ dishwasher. If I dont wash my dishes before I put them in, I have to wash them when I take them out. And they are never dry when they come out. I always have to dry them. My floor around my dishwasher is always wet because the dishes drip water when I take them out. And if I put 5 glasses in the top, 4 of the glasses have debris inside them when I take them out. I have to wash them again. Do not buy Samsung dishwashers. A used Kenmore will do a better job. I cant wait for this thing to break so I can get rid of it. What a piece of junk.

I have been a Samsung fan for a long time. For the first time ever we experienced an issue where Samsung was not able to provide us with a reasonable solution. We purchased a Samsung Oven Range in early November 2019. One of our oven knobs broke off in our hand two weeks after the warranty expired. Samsung requires close to $100 for a replacement knob. When I pulled off the other 4 knobs on our oven range I noticed that the neck of one other knob was also cracking. The knob necks are made of plastic. I read reviews on various community chat groups and apparently, there are many Samsung customers who experienced the same problem. If I were to buy all 5 of the Samsung replacement knobs it would literally cost me as much as I paid for the entire oven range new. If Samsung is interested, I found online a very simple inexpensive fix for broken knob necks, which can also be used to prevent future breakage of unbroken knobs. Will be glad to share.

RS265TDRS - We have been monitoring the refrig temp for a week because the liquids seemed cool but not cold when the temp was set at 38 D.F. and the display monitoring inside temp when you open the refrigerator door always read 38 D.F. Lowered the temp to 34 D.F. And monitored the refrig for two days. The display always says 34 D.F. on the outside when you open door but the thermometers we put inside have been well above 44 D.F. for two days and as high as 48 D.F. Thermometers placed in a full glass of water inside the refrigerator overnight indicate a temp of 45 D.F. Temp of tomato sauce in frig also above 45 D.F. Putting same 2 thermometers in freezer set at -4d.F. indicates a temp of -3 or - 4 D.F. We are waiting for service and the temperature is now well above 50 D.F. and yet the display that shows the supposed temp in the refrigerator says 36 D.F. when you open the door which is what the temp is set at. The safety issue is not only there is a design defect that causes the coils in the refrigerator to freeze up but the sensor that lets consumers know what the temp in the box is sending false and misleading temp readings allowing people to think their food is at a safe temp when in fact it is not. Still waiting for service and now the refrigerator is at 60 D.F. and the display is reading 38 D.F. when you open the door. This may go on for days, weeks and even months for some consumers before they realize that they have been eating spoiled food. Samsung needs to acknowledge design flaws that allow the digital temp display to show normal safe temperatures yet in the refrigerator temperatures are 10-15 degrees f. higher. There are many consumers who have been ripped off and played Russian roulette with food, health and safety because the refrigerator coil freezes, the fan stops working and the air temps in the refrigerator rise unknowingly to the consumer. If you own a Samsung refrigerator you may have been eating spoiled food for weeks, months or forever if you are not aware of this problem. Calling for everyone on the www to let Samsung know that their negligence in this matter will not be tolerated and consumers will get justice, satisfaction and restitution for the full purchase price including removal and destruction and recycling of all the defective Samsung refrigerators.

My fiancé and I left our home with our daughter at approximately 8 AM this morning for work. We had both spent significant time in the kitchen before leaving and the microwave (SMH9187ST) was properly functioning (displaying the time, no one had used it since the night before.) When we returned around 5:30 PM, there was an electrical smoke smell emanating in the house. My fiancé immediately followed the smell to the kitchen, where he saw our Samsung microwave was smoking and the clock was not displaying. Upon opening the microwave, we observed more smoke and the scorched insides of the microwave. The glass turn table had shattered and there was a charred hole in the rear of the interior. There was obvious scorching up the back of the unit as well as on the top. He immediately opened the cabinet above the over-the-range microwave and unplugged it. There was no one in the house during the day, except our dog and 2 cats. The unit appears to have spontaneously combusted. After researching this model, I cannot believe it has been allowed to remain in homes this long after so many reports of damage, fire, and potential disasters. We are seriously lucky our home did not burn down with our pets inside today. Our daughter turns 1 tomorrow and is usually home with the babysitter, luckily she was not home today. I dont even want to think about how badly this could have ended for me and my family.

Updated on 12/25/2019: So the second tech came at a cost of 130.00 to confirm the fridge was not working due to a broken compressor. Waited another week for the official Samsung repairmen with the new compressor. Its up and running again. Three weeks without a fridge as they dragged their feet to R&R a compressor. Not good. Will not buy Samsung again nor recommend it to you.Original Review: Only after the first yr did I hook up the ice maker/ water dispenser. Kitchen remodel was on hold. But immediately it failed by continually icing up. The paint started to blister from rust around the bottom of the cut out. Out of warranty and out of mind by customer support. The handle of the freezer door broke within the first yr and I will give them credit for replacing the door face to repair that. Although it took 7 days to get tech support in Phx AZ. Now at 3 yrs I’m waiting for tech support for a closed unit fix (compressor). Waited 4 days for 1st tech to report that he was unauthorized to fix problem. That appointment was paid in full by Samsung Thank you. Now I’m waiting for another authorized tech company to diagnose the problem (2nd opinion?). That will cost ME $120. Up front. Not included in the compressor warranty. So this tech company is not satisfied with the profit made from Samsung exclusive authorization (the customer) but insists on also touching the owner. Just read online of a class action suit pertaining to ice maker. One week out for that appointment so will update this review then. On another note be aware that cleaning the inside of these appliances is next to impossible (see You Tube by others).

Second time I have had a problem with the microwave. Fan runs non-stop and will not heat anything. Samsung will not do anything. They only offered a protection plan that costs more than the microwave did new. I purchased an entire suite of Samsung appliances when I moved into my new home. Have had problems with all four of them. I will never buy another Samsung product again. I work in a Day Spa that has over 300 clients through it in a week and I will make sure everyone knows about the issues I have had with Samsung products. I have a daughter that is an Interior Designer and she will never recommend the products again. My other daughter is a Realtor and she will be informing all her clients of my problems. My new mission in life is to make sure everyone know what poor quality Samsung has in service and products. If you read this PLEASE do not make my mistake. I took the extended warranty on the big four door fridge. The ice maker freezes up every two months even with biweekly cleaning. Takes the company at least three (3) weeks to get here to repair it. The only answer is to not buy this product. Friends dont let friends buy Samsung. Dont buy Samsung!!!

My wife and I bout a Samsung RT5000K Top Freezer Twin Cooling Plus™, 350 L refrigerator for Courts Jamaica Limited. The first month the front plastic on the tray under the freezer compartment split down the middle while it was being wiped off. It was as if it had dry rotted. In the first three months the door started to bubble and this is the one that has the stainless steel look. They replaced the skin after a lot of complaining and then the door would hardly close by itself when they were done and they left all the plastic on.Now the rubbers are starting to crack on the door and we have not had the thing a year yet. The door is making a creaking sound once in a while when you open it and the refrigerator from day one has been making weird sounds. It also runs very hot and for an inverter type, the electric bill has not gone down at all. Have been trying to find the year of manufacture and cant seem to get any answers. I believe it was in storage a long time before being sold. Very disappointed and would never buy one again. Will continue to take to social media to get some answers.

Gregg, Lowe’s and Best Buy - I settled on this model RF268ABWP at Lowe’s in white. A little background - I went to culinary institute of America at Greystone and have been a professional chef for over 30 years - I know my way around a kitchen and appliances. This Samsung is the worst - there’s just not hardly any storage room in freezer and it continually ices up to the point the drawer/door is open and water/ ice melts on to the kitchen floor. The door at several places has started to rust, underneath the coolselect crisper drawer in the main body of fridge also continually ices up and the drawer starts to be pushed out. Have to thaw ice jam and remove ice sheet and then dry out fridge bottom and freezer drawer bottom. Complete pain in the **. Called Lowe’s customer service and nothing, also called Samsung and nothing no help. After reading and digging around on internet found that it’s a design flaw and company knew about it but refuses to fix. If I could fit on my boat it would be at the bottom of some lake. Complete junk and a waste of over 1400 bucks - my advice to anyone buying a new or used fridge - stay away from Samsung.

Purchased Samsung fridge 2013, 3 door. Great unit for the first year. Since then I have to remove the ice maker every 3 months to thaw out and chip the ice off the compartment walls. The ice builds up around the ice maker and eventually blocking the ice from dropping. Ice backs up, freezes together forming an ice rock. Dealer cant help because it is a design flaw and Samsung will not admit it. Slap me if I ever purchase anything made by Samsung.

We bought our counter depth refrigerator in May of 2015. After six months the ice maker stopped working. We had a Samsung service person come out to fix it. He informed us that he had numerous calls about this type of ice maker and it is one of the worse design he has seen. I have tried contacting Samsung many times about this ice maker for this model and never heard anything back. I wrote several more times and received nothing back. Now with all their phone issues I tried again and of course got a blah blah blah letter that was completely useless. I wrote back stating that Ive done everything on their list. This letter wants me to use their Samsung people to have it serviced. Ive already purchased Geek Squad from Best Buy extended warranty. Now the ice maker has completely stopped working. Also if anyone has suggestions on what to do about this issue please respond. If anyone is having similar problems could you please write about it here. I would like to get a list going so that as a group we may get something done to help all of us. Also if considering a Samsung appliance do not buy!!!

Samsung Electric Range - My complaint is when you use the self cleaning feature, it burns out something in the control panel and requires a repairman to replace the part. According to the repairman its the way its made and was told not to use this feature. How silly is that? Why buy a self cleaning stove and cant use it??? I tested it again while still under warranty and it did it again for a second time. I am calling Samsung for a full refund. Either way I will surely be running the self cleaning feature more times before the warranty runs out. They will be paying the repair people as much as it takes until warranty is out.

We purchased a Samsung Refrigerator that failed to cool less than 1 year after the purchase date. After calling Samsung customer service it took three repair companies to finally tell us that they could not work on the product because of a lack of training on closed system refrigerators; these vendors were provided by Samsung. After numerous phone calls to the Samsung Customer Service Department, I realized that nearly each time I was talking to representatives in several different locations to include the Philippines, the Virgin Islands and South Carolina. Eventually after my persistence and threats, Samsung arranged for me to return the refrigerator to the store I purchased it from. This happened nearly two weeks after we purchased another brand.Lastly, we were promised a maximum of $ 200.00 compensation for the nearly $ 600.00 of food that was spoiled. We were required to provide items and the price. We ended up emailing this information at least 7 times to their Executive Customers Service Department and have yet to receive reimbursement. It has been 64 days since we the unit became inoperable and numerous promises were made! To date, we have not been reimbursed!! We will NEVER buy or recommend SAMSUNG again!!!

Purchased from Best Buy a Samsung 30 electric range, NE595ROABSR on 7/10/13. The convection fan started running super loud and then it quit working completely! I called samsung and was informed that it was out of warranty. One year only!! What?! They told me I could pay $300 to extend the warranty. However, to save money, I think we are going to order a new convection fan on Repairclinic.com for $40 and install it ourselves after we watch a Youtube video. We are very disappointed! Also, we had issues with the oven taking more than 10 minutes to heat and also had issues with condensation and dirt between the door after a self-cleaning. Definitely would avoid buying Samsung in the future!

I have a warranty, but from what Ive heard, it isnt much good. What do I have to do ship it back to Japan. Not a good investment. I love the refrigerator, but dont like the ice maker. We purchased a refrigerator from Samsung in late June at Lowes. From the moment it was set up, its ice bin and chute have frosted over. I called and Samsung sent us new parts after refusing to set up a service call even though I told them the ice maker was not the problem. After the new ice maker didnt fix the problem, I called again. A service call was set up and we needed a new trap door for the ice maker/water dispenser. That took two service calls and three weeks. Now, the water dispenser leaks out of the area behind the ice maker dispenser and the lights on the display panel are starting to not work.We got a phone call last week from Samsung to ask us how the service call went. I told the person on the phone it still wasnt fixed and she replied that we could exchange or return the fridge. She said Samsung would call Lowes and get it taken care of and we would hear from Lowes in 2-3 business days. I waited several days and didnt hear anything. So I called Lowes, who has not heard from Samsung. So I called Samsung only to be told that the fridge could not be returned or exchanged and we would have to have another service call. This is ridiculous. The fridge is breaking, one thing after another, and I cannot get anyone to help us return it.

Had the Samsung refrigerator a little over a month and the ice maker stopped working. Called customer service who ran me through 15 minutes of tests then said a technician would call within 48 hours to come out and repair the fridge. Two days later after not getting a call, I called Samsung again and was informed that the last person I talked to must have forgot to assign a technician. I was then instructed to run through the same 15 minutes of tests and told (once again) a technician would call within 48 hours. The next day a Samsung representative called and while I assumed he was the technician calling to set up an appointment, he told me that no, he was in the product dept and was just calling to see if my ice maker was still broken. The only purpose for his call was to inform me that it would be ANOTHER 48 hours for a technician to call me.When I asked if the technician would call over the weekend, he responded that some work weekends, some dont. I asked to speak to his manager and he told me his manager was unavailable. Three days later and seven days after my initial call a local technician finally called me. He instructed me to push buttons on my freezer that I did not have and besides the fact that he sounded 12, he was completely confused as to which model I had and told me an engineer would call me back. When I asked how long that would take he said he didnt know, the engineer was in the field. As of the time of this review my freezer is still broken, there is no set time for the technician to come out and I have wasted my time on the phone with this horrible, incompetent company. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product again and can honestly say this is one of the WORST companies I have ever dealt with.

Our Samsung French Door refrigerator keeps icing up under the back panel. It started happening after the four-year warranty was out. We have had it fixed repeatedly during the last year at $100 minimum each time only for the problem to return within a month. Now it is every two weeks. I have learned what to look for, what sounds to listen for and to take the back panel off to defrost it myself. Granted it is 8 years old but as much as it cost it should have lasted much longer. The more I try to cook on this stovetop the more I am convinced that the burners don’t heat correctly. I have bought several new nonstick skillets and they seem ruined after a few times cooking in them. I am not a chef but I am not a novice either. I’ve been cooking for over 30 years and this doesn’t seem right. I usually use the right front burner and go with the medium middle setting, never on high. And then I would turn it down to low and things still get burnt. I dont even want to address your Samsung customer service because I know how they give the runaround. My microwave was defective - I saw sparks flying from the inside and turned it off. They did end up refunding the money for it but I had paid to have someone to install it above the stove so I lost $200 there. Plus I had to jump through many hoops to get a refund.

We purchased a Samsung side by side at Conn’s a few months ago and specifically chose Samsung over the other brands because we had good experiences with phones, a TV and a number of other items from that brand. Well, 2 weeks ago, the refrigerator quit working and all of our food went bad. At first, I wasnt concerned, because it is still within the warranty period. I called Conn’s and they started the repair order. The problem came when Samsung couldnt find a local service provider to come out and repair it. Last week, they told me that they would allow us to exchange it for a new unit if they didnt find someone by Monday. Monday, they said they were still processing the claim. It has now been two weeks and Samsung says that it will take up to 7 more business days for them to decide what to do. In the meantime, we have lost a couple of hundred dollars worth of food and havent had a working refrigerator in weeks. I understand that things happen, but when you pay to purchase a fairly expensive appliance new from what is supposed to be a reputable brand, you expect that issues will be taken care of in a more timely manner. Eating out is costing us even more money and I dont think it is unreasonable to expect that a refrigerator can be repaired or replaced within the first two weeks.

After that didnt work, we had it replaced under warranty. Well, replacing the same defective ice maker didnt work either. After contacting Samsung to see if they could help, we were asked to PAY for another ice maker and service visit because our warranty had run out. NOW, today, our ice maker wouldnt stop rotating and was making a lot of noise. When I removed the ice bucket, SMOKE started billowing out! My smoke alarm went off and it smelled like burning plastic. The repair guy came out, looked at it, said it wasnt our fault, that we did nothing wrong and they would replace it no problem! After weeks of waiting, I called Samsung back only to be told they were doing nothing! The repair guy told them we laid it on its side (which is not true) and said that it was our fault the fridge didnt work! They blamed Canex, they blamed us, but held firm that it was not their fault and they are going to do nothing. So now I am left with a $1,700 paperweight! Dont waste your money. Refrigerator Model # RF28HMEDBSR - have had many issues with water leaking, first on the left side, and then now also water coming out on the front side. I put rags around the bottom of the fridge so my family does not slip and fall as I have slipped already walking to the kitchen in the middle of the night. The water is coming out more and more, have to replace the rags every few hours to prevent accidents. I called Samsung for help and they emailed me a pdf file instructing me how to make sure the fridge is level. There was nothing wrong with it being level and its still leaking worse than ever. Called Samsung back and they said they can refer me to a company that can repair my fridge. Samsung only warranties the fridge for one year, after that I have to pay for labor and parts to repair this issue. I researched online and found that this is a common issue with other Samsung Refrigerators. Here is the link for the class action lawsuit filed against Samsung for selling their defective product. **. Repair company charges $100 for diagnostic. Then we wait for them to order the parts (Temp sensor, Assembly Cover Evap and Leakage Kit) which costs over $125 plus more labor charges for them to install it. And we are not sure this will even resolve the problem. Stay away from Samsung appliances. I also have a Samsung stove that all the knobs have broken off. Samsung will charge you over $50 per knob to replace them. Pieces of junk, faulty appliances, Samsung should not sell their defective products to consumers.

We bought a Samsung refrigerator from Home Depot to replace an old refrigerator that had developed a Freon leak. When the new refrigerator was delivered and plugged it, it immediately tripped the GFI breaker. The Home Depot delivery crew said there must be a problem with the electrical circuit. Lamps and other test units plugged in to the outlet worked, but plugging in the refrigerator immediately tripped the circuit. We paid for an electrician to come out. He said that the circuit tested OK but recommended that we replace the GFI breaker. He installed a new GFI breaker and outlet for the refrigerator. The circuit tripped immediately when the refrigerator was plugged in. The electrician tested and diagnosed the problem as an internal short in the refrigerator. Electrician cost $296. We contacted Home Depot about the problem, and our call was routed to Samsung. After about 15 minutes answering questions with the Samsung representative, we were told that a local Samsung service contractor would contact us within 48 to 72 business hours. We received a call from Central Electronics Services saying that the soonest the could have a technician come out to diagnose the problem would be two weeks later - nothing could be done to advance the service schedule. We went in to Home Depot who expressed concern about the problem and said that it is not uncommon to experience problems in getting manufacturer warranty service from Samsung. We are still awaiting the Central Electronics/Samsung service technician to arrive. Hopefully the defective refrigerator will be replaced with a properly functioning unit without undue. In the interim, we warn others considering purchase of a Samsung major appliance about the poor service from Samsung. Buyer beware!

In 2014 we bought a Samsung dishwasher at Lowes. We had always bought Bosch but the deal being offered by Lowes/Samsung was too hard to pass up, I wish we had. I wont bother with the model number because after reading the reviews here it is obvious it doesnt matter, they all have problems. I am pretty good at fixing things myself and our dishwasher is still running, but I have better things to do in my retirement than fix a dishwasher! If you go to Youtube you will find many videos showing you how to fix your Samsung. My advice is DO NOT BUY a Samsung dishwasher! If you own one, make sure you put a cup of vinegar in AFTER the wash cycle starts, (this is particularly important if you are on a well and not public water). If you do it before you start the dishwasher, it will pump the vinegar down the drain upon startup. Also after each wash, clean the door gasket at the bottom of door where it attaches to the dishwasher. Black gunk/mold builds up there, pretty disgusting. Based on reading other reviews, if you are out of warranty and cant do your own repair, take your loss, and put your hard earned money into purchasing another dishwasher.

I purchased a Samsung convection range/oven on 5/30/2014 from Best Buy for $770. Our Side-by-Side fridge stopped working about a month ago. I called Samsung and they offered me a 1 year warranty (which I thought was odd since the fridge was 4 years old). So I accepted, and they referred me to a local repair shop, A&E Factory Service in San Antonio, TX, which by the way is no good as well! The technician came out and said 4 parts needed to be ordered. Only 2 parts came in. Tech ordered other 2 parts. Only one part came in. I HAD to follow up with the Tech, with his company and with Samsung to get that 4th part ordered! Parts finally came in, and the fridge was repaired. Following week, fridge is not working again. A&E sends a Sears tech and says compressor is out of refrigerant (possible leak). He fills refrigerant and leaves before the fridge even shows that it is cooling. Fortunately it did. 2 weeks later (which is today 11/13/13), the fridge is not working again. I call Samsung and get transferred 5 different times because they cant give me a correct department to speak with. In the end, hopefully my fridge gets fixed. I decided to buy a backup the 2nd time around in case this would happen again (which today is the 3rd time). Im pretty sure they are just going to send another tech who seems like they do not know what they are doing and dont make the effort to ensure the fridge gets fixed for good. SO dont buy a fridge from a company who makes TVs and phones, lets put it that way. The model number of my fridge is #RS277ACBP/XAA. That was $1500 down the drain. Dont let the LED lights fool you in front of the fridge and drag you in because you think it looks fancy. Samsungs warranty is no good, their customer service is no good, and the contractors they send to come repair your fridge is no good.

I bought a Samsung refrigerator. After couple of months I started having issues. Doesn’t cool enough the top refrigerator the freezer. I bought the warranty, they took my money and doesn’t have any technicians in my area. I had been calling them. They said I will send a tech. Never showed up.

Thought I was buying stainless steel. Turns out it is a low grade stainless steel. All 3 doors rusted. Took almost a year to get solved. Ice maker unit has rusted again and there are rust spot on the doors again. Even though I purchased a extended warranty hhgregg and Samsung do not honor any more rust problems even though Samsung has told me the rusting around ice and water unit is a health hazard. The refrigerator is only about 3 years old and paid over $2000.00. Samsung does not stand behind their products unfortunately.

The ice maker started jamming right away. When we called they gave us instructions on how to clear the jam ourself. I have never had a company tell me to fix anything myself. What they told me to do did not fix it. So we called and finally got them to send a service person out. He did not put a new ice maker. He just caulked around the ice bin. Within a day it was jamming again. We called to have a service person come back and fix it. When he came he put a whole new ice maker in. No help! It is still jamming and now it is gathering ice in the chute inside the door and then when the door opens ice flies everywhere.Putting in another ice maker is not going to solve the problems we are having because the blades have too much slack in them and they go behind another blade and they hang up. We called and told them we wanted them to come and get the refrigerator and of course they refused to. The company should not be allowed to sell this kind of junk and then make people keep it. I wish we had known how bad the product was and hope everyone will beware of buying anything Samsung!

I ordered Samsung Gas Range, Model NX58H9500WS/AA from Plessers on April 4th, 2016. In two months, the surface burn grates cracked. I filed a claim, to my dismay, the customer service is the worst ever I had dealt with. I was asked to send the pictures of the defect parts and the receipts. I sent what they asked for on June 20th. Until today, I did not hear a word. I just called and was told that the burner grates and the cap are not covered. The gas range is quite expensive. I cannot believe that the burn grates cracked in two months. The workmanship is extremely poor.
