It is true Counter-Depth which is very attractive. Easy to see/reach everything due to this design, and the French Doors. Easy use of freezer as it is a Drawer. The handles are large so easy to grasp and clean.

I have been using my Samsung DMS 600TIX dishwasher for 2 years (naturally just out of warranty). It looks beautiful and is stainless steel which gives the impression that it is a quality product. Far from it!! The springs on the doors need replacing on both sides (one snapped with a very loud bang when I opened the door). The catch which keeps the door shut is also broken. Very disappointed and will never buy Samsung again! I spoke to Tafelberg who sold it to me as well as Samsung and neither are the slightest bit interested.

I am tired and fed up! I bought a side by side refrigerator and have no success getting resolution for the ice buildup which is constantly reoccurring in the back of my unit. They have sent the technicians countless times without success. I received a call from Samsung last week to ask me how things were. I told them that it was still doing the same thing after the many visits. Each time a technician showed up, they stated that they were not going to be able to fix the issue but had to initiate the specific instructions for repair before Samsung would provide a voucher or some other method of enabling me to go and get a replacement. When I talk to them the other night they created another case number with instructions. The tech came today, called Samsung and let them know that the refrigerator was not repairable as provided in the instructions. The rep on the phone said, It doesnt work like that. Well you know what else doesnt work like that? Willingly offering a product to the consumer which you know has repetitive like kind issues and failing to prevent a product with well-known and documented faulty design or function to be sold with intent of telling your customer; Im not going to make good on my promise, I really dont care that youre having issues, Im not interested in knowing whether you are happy or not and It doesnt work like that.I have been cooperative and have done everything I have been asked to do by your representatives and this has gone on for 2-1/2 months straight now. It seems clear that you have no intent on standing by your product. I believe your warranty policy is deceptive to say the least. I dont think Im asking too much. I got a problem, and I just want it fixed without further delay. It looks like there are plenty of others who share the same sentiment. I dont want to have to take legal action, please dont make me.

DO NOT BUY FROM SAMSUNG. What a horrible piece of crap from a reliability perspective. Love the design and layout but... The icemaker starting leaking water, the fridge is 18 months old and I know it is out of warranty so I called a repairman (a trusted friend). He came to the house and said oh yeah I service Samsungs for this issue all the time, at least 5 or so a week. The icemaker and the auger unit needed to be replaced, $755, WHAT almost half the price I paid for the fridge itself. I looked online and the parts are over $400 at the cheapest place. I called Samsung and they said it is out of warranty and would not do anything to make me happy. I would call this a defect if the component is failing in less than 2 years, which according to my buddy he sees all of the time but what does Samsung care they are making a killing on repair parts on fridges that are less than 2 years old. I will never buy another product from this company and I suggest you dont either, complete junk.

We bought a Samsung RT72SBSM about 2 years ago and it just stopped cooling one day. After checking, the compressor is found busted and they would charge me USD150 for labor and for fixing the gas, which are not under warranty. When I queried Samsung about why their fridge died only after 2 years, instead of apologizing, the Samsung person retorted, we dont know the lifetime of our fridges. They should know. Its their product. They should have some sort of indication that this is a faulty fridge and they are doing what they can to rectify it. Saying they dont know simply takes them away from being accountable to make good products. Samsung is a horrible horrible brand, with absolutely, incredibly lousy customer service. Avoid all Samsung products at all cost, please!

I bought a new Samsung Stainless Steel Range in November 2011. I was away for 3 years and the stove was hardly used. Just got home and was cooking for about two months. It seems to have a problem heating the oven and cooking a small chicken takes much too long. Burned on the top and undercooked below. But the MAJOR issue was my exploding cooktop. I was sitting in the living room. I had just warmed my soup and had turned the cooktop off. I then heard a major explosion... like a gun going off in the kitchen. The cooktop had completely shattered. There was nothing on the stove thank goodness and no glass was projected into the room but it really scared me. I know from reading the other complaints I share customer experiences of poor quality and feeling afraid of your stove. I also know they will tell me the stove is past its warranty. I wont even try. It was defective with only 7 months of real use. Built in obsolescence is alive and well with Samsung.

We bought a high end Samsung stainless steel over the counter microwave oven to replace a different one (other brand) that failed after 10 years. The Samsung one failed after 22 months of operation (out of warranty) when it stopped heating items. No noises or weird indicators to report of. Now, I am left with the choice of paying for repairs or buying a new unit (not a Samsung ever again). It is inexcusable for a household appliance to fail so soon, and that there is no indication of the failure (error code, warning) other than it stopped doing what it was designed to do in the first place.Without a working microwave, we cannot prepare kids lunches, warm our food, or cook dinner. Like other similar complaints, I am left with the choice of paying for costly and long repairs, or buying a new unit. I hope nobody else does the same mistake we did and buy a new Samsung microwave.

My Samsung microwave (M# SMH9187ST) is out of warranty and the Sensor Membrane switch is shot (SE code). Whoever heard of making an over-the-stove microwave that cant handle venting steam from the stove? Anyway, replaced this part for about $75 and my labor and its good for maybe another year. Samsung should not be allowed to sell their junk in this country! Its my experience that their products are cheaply made and fail just out of warranty. Ive had problems with their TV (bad capacitors), their dishwasher (always stopping before wash cycle is over), and their refrigerator (wont make enough ice). I will not buy any more Samsung products. If it has Samsung on the label, stay away.

I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator (RF25HME) back in December 2017, and on October 3, 2019 the ice maker stopped working. Did my research and found out that many consumers are complaining about the same issue. For an undetermined reason, the ice maker fills with frost, which turns into blocks of ice, not allowing the ice to be made, and locks up the auger.Spent part of my weekend defrosting the ice maker. I have not had to defrost a freezer or refrigerator since I was a child (50 years ago). I have had other refrigerators with ice makers (Amana, GE) and never had this issue. I will be contacting Samsung, but based on what I have seen on the internet, I dont believe they will be interested in fixing it. (out of warranty) Stay away from Samsung refrigerator!!

RA19 - This report is to corroborate what others have already said about the clear plastic shelves cracking in Samsung refrigerators. I bought this fridge new nearly 5 years ago and within the first year cracks started developing in the clear plastic shelves. At this point most of the shelves have cracked, some seriously. The shelves were never overloaded, but appear to develop internal stresses when cold resulting in spontaneous cracks. Similar to what others have reported, there seems to be a specific cold-induced problem with the clear plastic used in Samsungs refrigerator shelves.

Do not waste your money on this piece of garbage. Not even 4 months old and I currently have a broken refrigerator that wont cool above 50 degrees. I have been told that the motherboard needs to be replaced. The fridge will not cool anymore. Go online and you will see that this is a very common problem and I guess Samsung does not care. Samsung is not standing behind their product but the local repair shops are being kept busy!

Two years ago I purchased a Samsung Side by Side refrigerator RS5267TDWP. The refrigerator portion stopped cooling. I had to throw all my food out. I had purchased the extended warranty. The repairman came out and determined what the problem was. One of the parts I needed was an Evaporator cover. The part number given to the repairman did not match what was in my refrigerator. Samsung insisted it was the right part. They had no other options. So Samsung cant remember or look up what parts they used in their refrigerators two years ago. So here I sit with no refrigerator. All the comments about the ice maker are spot on. The ice cubes freeze in the chute. Whoever designed the ice maker was a sadist. Never buy a Samsung refrigerator. My last refrigerator made by Amana lasted 14 years at half the cost.

I have an STH9207 Over the Range Microwave. About 4 months ago, it (like many/most other similar models) went completely dead. After a huge amount of bureaucracy, I finally got Samsung to send someone out to look at it. The repairman was very familiar with the problem as he had already replaced MANY transformers in these microwaves previously. A quick look on the internet and it became apparent to me that I was the proud owner of a lemon. Nevertheless, the repair agency replaced the transformer in my microwave. Today, the microwave went dead again. I called Samsung and told them that. Obviously, their fix isnt fixing the units and that I would appreciate a replacement or a refund. The lady told me that they cant do that. Instead, they can only pay to have the unit fixed. Then, she looked at my purchase date and discovered that I was/am ONE week out of warranty. Likewise, she informed me that even though the unit was just repaired for the same problem a few months ago, they have no responsibility to make sure that the repair lasts. Honestly, Im temped to take Samsung to Small Claims Court. Its doubtful that they will send an attorney to represent them, but, even if they do, Ill present a ton of data supporting the fact that their microwaves are defective and that I am not the first one with such a problem. We can only hope that people look at this website before they invest in any Samsung appliance or product.

We purchased a new home in 2009 and purchased stainless steel Samsung appliances for our new kitchen. French door refrigerator; over the stove microwave and range to the tune of over $6,000. In 2010 the refrigerator was leaking water under one of the trays. It was still under warranty so they sent a repairman who attempted to fix it. Said he couldnt but he tried. Also said that these refrigerators all have this problem. It is something with the thermostat, etc. We consistently had this problem, we had to remove the draw, chip away the ice and then use a hair dryer to thaw out the back wall of the refrigerator where the water line was located IN THE REFRIGERATOR. We had repairmen (several different ones came out for about 6 more times) all to no avail. They installed new parts, etc. Great inconvenience to say the least. Samsung finally refunded the purchase price of my refrigerator. The range was no better. In 2011, after the extended warranty we purchased expired, the broiler coil burnt out (according to the repairman) and had to be replaced. I asked him if there was anything he could do because I couldnt afford another repair. He said he could solder it but it was a temporary fix. He was right. About 10 months later the stove wouldnt work. Had to have the broiler coil replaced. Range is now working.Microwave started doing strange things in early 2013. It would go on by itself and I was afraid it would cause a fire. I called and the repairman, he came out and said it was only the fan that was going while the door was closed and he couldnt fix it because he felt it was a defect in the product. He didnt want to incur a huge bill for me when he didnt know what was wrong. He contacted Samsung and they wouldnt talk to him because he wasnt on their list of repairmen. The microwave operated fine, as for cooking, etc. with the fan always on when it was opened. In 2015 the whole thing just died. No error message, nothing. It just ceased working. I will never, ever purchase anything, other than a TV, from Samsung. They should stick with what they do best, TV sets. I now have to purchase a new microwave which has to be installed because it is an above range built in. The one we purchased was a high end and cost over $600. Didnt think it would only last 6 years. I had my other microwave for over 13 years and it worked fine. Waiting for the other shoe to drop on the range.

We purchased this dishwasher Model # DW80H9930US/AA on the recommendation of the HHGregg Sales Representative based on reliability. We have had nothing but problems since December 2014 when we purchased it, with 3 service orders to date. The last one is a repeat for the issue that we had less than a month ago. On top of that, Samsung uses servicing dealers that do not have parts in stock. Thus, they are allowed to order the parts based on the repair order making the customer wait the additional time for the repair. Of course, if there is another issue, you need to start all over again with a service request where they try to get you to repair it yourself using their manuals. I will never buy another Samsung appliance again!

We are retired and on a budget save for 15 years to buy new appliances. The Samsung refrigerator has never worked properly, warranty serviceman was out three times to repair ice maker. They replaced board and ran a tube of caulking around unit. He said it was bad design and was sucking air from fridge section. It worked two weeks. Our warranty was up Sept 24. We tried to renew warranty before and they said it had to be added 90 days before it was up. My husband has brain and lung cancer and I have multiple myeloma. We have a year old fridge and no ice living in Phoenix Az. Believe me we use ice, although its just the two of us. Thank god, Im 67 my husband is 72. This seems like a very unfair practice by Samsung. We have had many other appliances over the years and they have worked well. The old fridge is 15 years old and still working in the garage. I have the Samsung Elite gas 6.3 cubic feet flex Duo Range. The functionality of this range is top-notch, Bakes like a dream.. My only complaint and its a huge one because of the price point of this Appliance is the shoddy finish. The enamel cooktop started peeling within 6 months and the black stainless isnt really stainless. Its a cheap black/paint coating that has been flaking off after about 3 months. Only 40 months old and the bottom freezer drawer froze shut! Ice and frost all over the food and I can see a layer of ice on bottom of unit, under pull out drawer. No service contract but asked at Lowes who works on Samsung. They had no one who has been able to figure out how to deal w/ this brand. They HEARD that someone 1 1/2 hours away might know something about them. Called Samsung and they said to turn temp to 0, which I did. (Samsung promised to call me back within 24 hours. 96 hours later they returned my call and when I told them what I thought of this refrigerator, the rep laughed and wished me a Good Day!).Next morning I tugged and tugged to get drawer open and when it did open sheets of ice flew out onto kitchen floor. Searched online and found out I should NOT have purchased this thing... After I read enough to make me sick, I went online searched other brands and settled on a GE side-by-side that appeared to have the FEWEST complaints. Upon further reading about this piece of junk, I learned that water builds up under the crisper/snack bins in the refrig section. Removed the snack drawer that covers the entire bottom of refrig and bailed out 5 quarts of ice water, then took a mallet and beat the sheet of ice that was under the water and tossed that mess. This company clearly DOES NOT care about the consumer and neither does Lowes. I asked the associate in appliance dept. why they continue to sell Samsung appliances and was told it was because Lowes gets such GREAT DEALS from Samsung. Good for them...HORRIBLE for those of us who are dumb enough to purchase one. And I wonder, what good would the service contract be if they cannot find a repair company that knows how to deal with Samsung? It was delivered with a damaged door and after 3 months a new door came in, only it was stainless, I have a white unit. After 9 months, Lowes took doors of a new unit and put them on mine because Samsung was unable to supply them with one white door! I am not going to be stupid and look for someone to work on this piece of junk... Tomorrow it will be on the way to the dump.

Theyre pieces of junk. Im so mad, retailers should not sell Samsung refrigerators. I have a GE fridge in my garage, bought it 25 years ago, for $400.00. Still works perfect. RF263BEAESR/AA - We bought this fridge less than two years ago. I agree with the other reviews that it is a bit noisy but thats not the worst problem we have. The ice maker is awful! The ice remains in the chute (in the door) and then melts and leaks out of the dispenser! We end up with water dripping down the front as well as inside the fridge, in the door shelves and under the produce drawer. We have to keep a folded paper towel under the dispenser constantly! We also have to open the door and reach inside the ice chute with a small spoon to scoop out whatever left over ice remains there or else it will melt and leak everywhere! We purchased the Samsung Dishwasher to match our other Samsung appliances, both of which we have never had an issue with. The washer has broken once on month for the year we have had it. We have had innumerable service calls. They have replaced the main board twice. Everything from the pump to the latch have been replaced. Multiple error codes, the machine never works. We are always hand washing dishes, either because we are waiting in service, or if the machine is working you have to wash them before you put them in the dishwasher, per our service man, our dishes were too dirty. Or you have to wash them when they come out of the dishwasher because they are dirtier than they were when you put them in. The dishwasher recirculates the nasty water, evenly distributes it around to all your dishes and then bakes the dirt on in the heated dry cycle. Our friends have a 1990 broke down dishwasher. The door wont shut on. It sound like street sweeper, but it gets the dishes cleaner than our Samsung. What a shame! Our factory warranty is a service warranty, they will just keep fixing it till the service tech deems in unrepairable. You would think someone would have the sense to replace the machine and cut costs. Sounds like even if they did I would still have issues.

We purchased our first French door Samsung refrigerator in 2011 not only because Samsung was a household name and I figured would make appliances that would outlast their warranty period but I also purchased the Samsung because aesthetically they stood out in comparison to other brands. Well I was completely WRONG about the quality and durability of Samsung appliances. Our first refrigerator was still under warranty and had to be replaced in 2015 because they no longer made the parts needed to repair the 4 year old refrigerator. This four year old refrigerator would make a loud humming noise as a result of a faulty fan motor. We made a second poor decision to purchase another Samsung refrigerator thinking they would have improved upon the issues they had with their appliances, but again we were WRONG. The issues were worse, see list of faults below that started in 2016 one year after purchase:1. Massive water leak behind the water dispenser that requires placing a large towel to catch the water to prevent potential slips and/or falls from the water from pooling on the floor. 2. The ice maker only makes a cup full of ice per day even when pressing the Power freeze button. 3. The refrigerator intermittently makes a loud humming noise.See list of actions taken to address the issues our 1 year old refrigerator is having: 1. Defrosted the ice maker by keeping doors open and using a hair dryer in order to speed up the process. 2. Sealed the crack between housing of the ice maker and the refrigerator with waterproof silicone. 3. Purchase 2- 10 lb bags of ice from Buckeyes twice a week. 4. Keep refrigerator door open for extended periods of time in order to stop the humming noise (yes we had food in it at the time) and speed up the defrost process. Even after initiating our own interventions, we continue to have problems with our Samsung refrigerator making a loud intermittent humming noise, making ice, leaking large amounts of water behind the water dispenser. The reason Im taking the time out of my busy day to share with you these issues is because Im disappointed in this product and to prevent you from making the poor decision of purchasing a Samsung refrigerator. Its not worth the money. There is absolutely no reason why anyone should spend thousands of dollars on anything that is proven not to last over 5 years. When I was growing up, my mother kept the same refrigerator from the time I was 10 years old until I graduated college. Of course repairs were required but as stated earlier, this is my second Samsung refrigerator in the span of 4 years.Yes we have a warranty but this refrigerator began to have problems a year after purchase, my expectations of Samsung setting a higher standard when it comes to quality appliances has not been met. I am not the type to write reviews and complain about products but Samsung has gone beyond my limits with bad products and customer service. I replaced my kitchen appliances with Samsung stainless appliances. My microwave broke and I repaired it once, it was out of warranty and I replaced (less than 2 years old). My oven was heating correctly and now wont heat at all. I looked up the code to troubleshoot (E08) and found it was a common problem with Samsung oven. I called Samsung and was on the phone for 2 hours with no assistance. I contacted Lowes and they were not helpful either. I have an oven that doesnt work- Samsung and Lowes have offered no assistance. I think Samsung believes in purchasing another one. I do not feel like they made a quality product or help consumers to correct issues that were at fault with manufacturer. Very displeased with entire situation, it also takes a lot of time to call and be on hold for hours. I will never purchase Samsung product again.

The dishwasher failed the first time last year in April, 17. We were on vacation... Kids shut off machine and shut off breaker in electric panel as noise would not stop. I came home and tried machine and it worked fine. Used machine normally for a few washes and the LE error occurred. This has happened every week since. Local repair companies do not want to come and fix it... Same comment... Its a Samsung... No thanks! (Universal and Totem Appliance Repair). Went online and found weird solutions due to moisture issue around motor which causes the LE error and unit to fail. Need to leave machine off with Electric Breaker off as well. Needs to be off for several days and up to a week!!! Sometimes as is this week. Very frustrating as The Brick (now Leons owned) sold us this unit after our original purchase of a Brick House model failed after three months of use. No refund but had store credit to purchase another unit. We bought the Samsung as it seemed to have the best features... Top rack... water wall... ultra quiet etc. Pretty useless features when you cant use the machine for days and weeks at a time!!! After having A Maytag for 14 years with no issues till a recall issue had a service tech ruin the machine. We then purchased the new model Samsung DW80H993 SERIES. The 5 Year Warranty sold us... So much for that. Never again. With no support from Samsung locally and authorized dealers that will not come out fix the problem as it is a design flaw I will buy other models.

This Samsung twin cooling plus is the worst refrigerator ever! Every 5-6 months you have to shut down and defrost it, it freezes up like the refrigerators did back in the 50s! You have to take the whole back of the refrigerator apart to get the coil to defrost which is about 8-10hrs of defrosting! I would never recommend spending 1800.00 for this piece of garbage! They tell me that it is a common problem but offer no fixes! You think for the money spent they would help! But NO.

We purchased our dishwasher in April 2016. It has never worked properly. It started out ok but then went down hill. Now its loud and doesnt wash at all. When I open the door the dishes are dirty and the soap is still on the door. I called Lowes and was told they would contact Samsung and I would get a call in two days. NEVER HAPPENED. I called back and Lowes gave me the Samsung direct number. I call Samsung for a repair, was told per my SN and model number that I purchased it in 2015. Wrong. Wasted 10 more days waiting for my receipt from Lowes. I email it to Samsung and call back, they tell me someone will be out the following Tuesday after 3. I leave work early, nobody shows up at 3:30. I call Samsung back, I am told sometimes they run late. I wait til 5:30 and am not happy. Call Samsung back and am given the number for the repair shop. I am pissed. I call the repair shop. I am told that nobody set anything up with them and this is common. Apologies, then I am told that its not covered because I bought it in 2015. NO I DID NOT. Repair shop calls Samsung to verify. Repair shop calls me back and sets up another appt. for the following Monday. I take the day off because they call and ask if I can do it earlier. Thursday, 2 days later, I get a call to set up an appt. and that it wont be covered because I bought in 2015. What? No! Apologies. Two hours later a message on my phone from repair shop, trying to set up an appt. and its not covered... WTF is going on? Monday comes, guy shows up with a big box of parts. Looks confused. Halfway through, two hours have gone by, tells me he needs to go to the store for a hose? Two hours later he has replaced almost every part in my dishwasher. I can hear it filling with water. He seems pleased and after a four hour repair job leaves after telling me to let it run. I do. After a hour I open it up and I see the same soap that was on the door. I gave up. Husband called, they are coming back Friday... OMG! We spend thousands on all new Samsung kitchen appliances and I am scared to death. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Cannot understand what they are saying, dont know what they are doing, cant understand what I am saying and thats Samsung. Repair shop is just as bad! I have told everyone I know do not buy Samsung... Just got a new work phone... Samsung. Great.

After paying for months for a new refrigerator, which was over $2,500, which is a lot of money to me, after about a year, it started making a noise. I called Samsung for them to tell me that a service tech would come out, but that was not covered under warranty and I did not buy the extended warranty. Well, after I spent that much money, I didnt think I needed to spend additional amount for an extended warranty. Was I wrong? Another $300 for some 18-year-old kid to just switch out a motor. Here we are 11 months later with the same problem, mainly because the first technician didnt fix it right the first time. It constantly freezes up, and water is under the vegetables bins. What a lemon. People, do your homework and never buy a Samsung refrigerator! This one had the ice and water on the outside and the French doors. I was really upgrading, and I had to make payments. Samsung couldn’t care less!

They are sending a service repair company to replace the control panel free of charge even though it is out of warranty. I was told that this was considered an epidemic type of issue that Samsung is aware of. If after the replacement of the control panel I am still receiving the error message, then the control box will need to be replaced at my expense. I just wanted to share with anyone who is just now getting this error code that Samsung will work with you on some level. Better than nothing, I guess.

RE: Samsung refrigerator, Model # RF26J7500. We had the ice maker repaired as it was leaking and the ice was slushy. Ice would build up in the maker and had to be chopped out. The ice maker drawer sticks/freezes and is difficult to pull out. It is cracked. Items in the back of the refrigerator were also freezing. The repairman also fixed the wheels on the pull out drawer because they kept falling off. The drawer has never worked correctly. The cover is cracked, it sicks and rubs against the plastic on the sides. This is causing white shavings and dust particles. This is a huge concern as it is a SAFETY HAZARD. The dust and shavings are getting on items in our refrigerator. Ingestion of this plastic is obviously toxic. In addition, we have two cracked door bins. I called Samsung today. After being told the drawer and bins are not covered, I asked for a supervisor. The associate came back on the phone and stated the supervisor also said it is not covered. I asked again to speak with a supervisor and was put on hold again. The associate came back on and stated they would replace the broken items. I requested my concerns be documented well, and reiterated my disbelief that Samsung has not recalled this refrigerator. Both the store I purchased the refrigerator from and the repair technician stated that Samsung refrigerators are notorious for these issues and they receive continual complaints from Samsung customers.

Dont buy a Samsung Refrigerator!!! Our Samsung has been the worst of worst. Two months after we bought a $3000.00 one the whole electric panel went out. Everything thawed out. They kept playing games about paying for the lost food. They never did reimburse us. Ours broke down 4 times in 2 years. We also had to replace both of the ice makers. One of them 3 times because the water leaks underneath it and freezes the mechanism that turns the ice out. Then when you try to get ice from the dispenser it cracks the ice maker and it has to be replaced. The water also leaks down in the inside of the refrigerator and runs under the storage bins and then on the floor when you open up the fridge. After replacing it 3 times we just dont use it.Samsung does not stand behind their products. Even though our fridge was without doubt a lemon they never replaced it. They play constant games of lost paperwork and unbelievable stalls until you just give up and pay to have it fixed yourself. The problem is they can stall forever but you cant go without a fridge. My daughter bought the same model as ours and she has had a lot of the same problems. They never fixed hers either. Never will I buy a Samsung product again!!!

Less than 2 months after this was delivered rust has developed all around the water and ice dispenser. We called Samsung and they promised a replacement door. It never arrived. It is now 6 months later and they now claim they never replace products for cosmetic damage. So, basically they are saying that it is perfectly normal for a $3000+ refrigerator to rot away in less than a year and that this is expected wear and tear. In addition the ice maker has quit functioning. If you call support and get Shatavia, an executive for escalation, assuming you had the patience to wait on hold for an hour - just hang up. She is useless for help. She will obsequiously apologize and then basically tell you that she isnt going to do anything to address the fact that you just flushed your money down the toilet. In summary in the past year I have had the following products from Samsung fail: 1: refrigerator: rusted door and failed ice maker. 2: dish washer: Water level sensor warnings. Unable to complete a wash cycle. Works maybe one time in 8. 3: Galaxy Note 2 : exploded, bursting the screen while charging overnight. Not one of these products did Samsung stand behind. So, if you have several thousand dollars just lying around, and you simply feel your life simply wont be complete without products that rust, quit, or exploded at random, then by all means buy Samsung. For the rest of us not quite ready for the crazy bin, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Purchased a Samsung refrigerator, Model # RF217ACBP in July 2012. Within 6 months, the ice maker broke and there would be huge amounts of water sitting in the produce bins. Had the ice maker replaced by the Sears tech and just emptied water from bins. Then, 1 month after warranty expired, the fridge started making a loud noise and would not ever stop. The 6 cooling vents in the refrigerator ice up and the temp is about 50 degrees causing all the food to spoil. I have unplugged it and defrosted it numerous times but within a week or two, it ices up again and all food is lost. I contacted Sears, where we purchased it and asked why they carry and sell a product that is obviously defective. They gave me a number to call for Samsung. Called them and they said that it was covered by them for 5 years but I would have to pay for the first service call but everything after that was covered. In reading ALL of the complaints online, I learned that to fix the problem was approx $500 and that only lasts for a short time until the problem returns. This Samsung product should be recalled since there are thousands of complaints regarding the same issue. We dont have a lot of money and a refrigerator that is less than 2 years old should not have a problem that is obviously a design flaw that does not have a permanent fix or repair. I have called local repairmen and none of them want to work on it because they know it cant be fixed and do not want to pit their reputation on the line. How can something like this with the magnitude of complaints not be addressed?

Four years ago we built a new home and bought all Samsung appliances. Our side-by-side refrigerator model #RS265TDBP has had repeated problems with ice building up on the coils behind the panel in back of the fridge. You can tell its happening because the evaporator fan motor makes rhythmic scraping sounds as it tries to spin to circulate the air. It does this for several days before it quits working and then the fridge stops cooling. You have to remove all the food, unplug the fridge, remove all the shelves, remove the back panel, disconnect the lights, and change out the evaporator fan motor (over $50 for the part plus significant amount of labor). Then you have to wait for many hours for all of the ice to melt, or try to use a hair dryer to melt it more quickly without damaging anything else. It has failed three times in the last 2.5 years and Im absolutely sick of it. Its a defective design and Samsung clearly has no interest in fixing it.

Upon removing all of the packing tape from my brand new Samsung range, the many problems were revealed. Outer panels were not attached properly (one side held together with the packing tape), behind that panel, another completely detached piece of sheet metal, and the oven light was dangling from its wires. Upon the discovery of this possible electrical hazard, I decided not to risk plugging it in. Now I have a useless range in my kitchen, a fridge full of highly perishable foods to cook, and no resolution for several days... I just have to sit with it and wait for someone for Home Depot to call me back. I assume I will have to take another day off work to await pick-up (Samsung lost my confidence, replacement is not an option). I should have learned this lesson last year when my brand new Samsung phone needed warranty work after two weeks of ownership. I now ask the questions; what is the true cost of this transaction? How much money and personal time will this cost me? Will Samsung compensate me for any of that? After all, it was their carelessness and lack of quality control that lead to this. They could redeem themselves with an appropriate offer, however, based on what Ive read about Samsung CS, its not likely. Goodbye forever Samsung... Thats one Titanic Id like to see sinking.

I would like to share my familys experience in buying Samsung appliances. Let me start by saying that we spent over 9000 dollars on brand new appliances just over a year ago. My wife loved the look of the Samsung black stainless steel so we bought an entire house full of appliances. Refrigerator, range, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer. Every single one of them has failed in that year, some on multiple occasions. Our microwave which most appliance repair guys will tell you are pretty universally reliable broke within the first month. The gas range needed repaired on three separate occasions, the dishwasher has been repaired twice and works intermittently now, the dryer squeals like a pig going to slaughter and the refrigerator stopped working while we were on vacation this past May. We have now been without a refrigerator for just shy of two months. It took Samsung over a month to send out a technician to look at it and another two weeks to get parts. After the “repair” the technician informed us that the unit was not repairable and a replacement was needed. Bear in mind we bought the appliances in May of 2017, the refrigerator failed in May of 2018 and now in July after telling us it is not repairable and they are sending a replacement unit. I get an email apologizing for the inconvenience but that they will not replace the unit nor fix the dryer. We had never had new appliances and a year ago we were excited that now we had a houseful of beautiful new shiny appliances. Some of these appliances are nearly top of the line Samsung models and all of them have failed or no longer function. Do yourself and your family a favor and do not purchase Samsung products or at least do not purchase their appliances. I have never made such a large purchase and been as disappointed as I have with Samsung. They have been horrible in every facet from quality to service. Do not make the same mistake we did. Samsung is a horrible company.

Purchased a brand new Samsung counter depth fridge. Ice maker continued to freeze up and eventually was unable to make ice. After two repair visits ($180) from the local company I purchased it from (someone I had dealt with for years and was an authorized dealer) I decided to call Samsung. After a few hours of problem determination (including defrosting the unit again and chipping away the ice) the issue was considered corrected. Of course a month later same issue - contacted service again and they scheduled a service call. The service tech was there 30 seconds and knew exactly what the problem was. There is a significant gap between the inside wall and ice maker allowing air into the unit. Very obviously a manufacturer defect and one they had seen many times before.I contacted Samsung service again - explaining the issue and requesting to be reimbursed for my third service call (Im now up to $270 on a 2 1/2 year old unit that I paid $3500 for) and was not very politely told the unit was out of service, it was not a known defect, and they would not reimburse my service call. Sad but true, worst part is they would not own up to the defect, although the tech told me they are required to report their repair fixes which they have done many on these units. They even carry a special tube of caulking with them just for these units. Good luck buying one - last Samsung product I will ever purchase!

We had our refrigerator for just 2 months before it stopped producing ice from the ice maker. After waiting a week for Samsung service provider, Lakes Electronics, to send a technician, the entire ice maker had to be replaced. What a great product that after 2 months the entire ice maker had to be replaced. I would not recommend ANY SAMSUNG PRODUCT. We also purchased the Samsung microwave model ME21H706MQG and after 6 mos. it stopped working and almost caught fire. THIS IS THE WORST FUNCTIONING SET OF APPLIANCES I HAVE EVER OWNED IN 45 YEARS! DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS!!

Have owned the side by side for 2 yrs and the interior is broken in very many locations. The interior drawers are plastic snap-togethers with plastic caster wheels that break off. The plastic covers on certain sections of the interior are cracked. Would not recommend this unit to my worst enemy. Even though this unit lists for $2400 it is cheap cheap cheap.

Model M/C FTQ353IWUX/XAA Caught on fire all by itself. We heard a loud pop (like a lightbulb breaking). My wife went into the kitchen and found flames coming from behind the clock. Stove was not in use and thankfully we were home when this happened or we may of lost our home. Called Samsung and after almost 2hrs on the phone we were met with your stove is out of warranty, we will pay for the technician but we would have to pay for the parts. The stove is a total loss. Other than smoke damage to our wall and microwave above it, we are ok. No more Samsung for us.

I purchase a Samsung refrigerator in 11/2020 at Best Buy. At first it seems that it did not cool much. Ice machine is slow when the ice comes out. After 3 visits from Geeks they decide I needed to contact Samsung. So today was a 2 hour look to see what problem is, person on phone with another person trying to see what the problem is. My food was getting mold, so after he was told that the cooling system is at bottom and there is a flap that should open. They got the number of part, not sure how long will it be when the part will get here. Food is expensive as it is, so why dont they just give me my money back and quit trying to figure out what the issue is. This company should build TV and stereos and leave the appliance to people that know how to build.

I recently replaced all my appliances and I was tempted by the Samsung style so I bought all Samsung appliances. The problem so far was the dishwasher after 2 months old. Reading on Internet I figured out the inlet valve went bad. I have tried to contact Samsung customer service multiple times. The waiting time is very frustrating. The representatives dont really know what they are talking about. They just waste even more of the time. They are very polite though but not helpful. Finally, they told me they will send me a technician. This was exactly 2 months ago. Im still waiting for them to come and repair the dishwasher. At this point we know that replacing the dishwasher again may be the best option. Tossing $500 bucks annoys me but dealing with Samsung its not worth it anymore. Honestly, I have been a big fan of Samsung but this dishwasher turned me down. Please be aware of Samsung dishwasher is NOT the way to go.

I had a Frigidaire refrigerator that lasted 20 years. My family said time for a new one so I went to and found a Samsung refrigerator double door with pullout freezer drawers purchased 12/1/15 warranty 1-year. I didnt get extended warranty within 2-months past warranty. Bottom freezer started making loud noises and went out. Of course you call to Philippines so I had them fix it 400.00. So now 14 months later it went out again. I called to see if there was recall or they would discount, nothing. I have to fix it so waited for 2-3 hours for technician. Turned out the Samsung had sent wrong part. So I call asking for a discount for my time, nothing. So stay away from SAMSUNG. Also dont buy appliances from Home Dept. When you drive away they wash their hands of any responsibility.

When purchased my new kitchen for my wife 3 years ago, we were big fans of Samsung. The fridge was beautiful. We got it from Best Buy along with the Flex Duo range in SS to upgrade from our old black appliances (Kenmore, French door). We had warranties on everything and thought wed be safe. Never expected to use it as much as we did. Two times in three years of ownership and then being disabled vets, I was tending to my wife in the hospital and missed the warranty expiration date by one day and Best Buy refused to restart it. Probably because of all the problems they were having with the fridge. Now Im left trying to keep this fridge going as best I can. Sadly the old Kenmore that has been running for all the time that Ive had my new Samsung is still running problem free in my garage! Samsung should either step up their game or stick to televisions. Youve never seen a Whirlpool or Kenmore phone. Do what you do and do it well! Nobody has an extra $2000 laying around to fix a companys errors!

Our Samsung microwave died on Thanksgiving day. Christmas has come and gone and we still do not have a working microwave. We have talked to Samsung at 800-726-7864 multiple times to get it fixed. We had their service vendor come to our house multiple times. We were told that the magnetron was under the 10 year warranty by Samsung and should be provided by Samsung to the repair vendor. Then we would be responsible for the labor only for $89. Each time the vendor came they said we were responsible for the part and all repair costs. We are now done. We will never buy a Samsung appliance again and suggest that Lowes should not sell this product either. Incidentally, our microwave was 3 years old.

My husband and I purchased this Samsung clunker in 2011. It is bottom freezer type as I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and could no longer manage bending to reach contents. About four months ago, I noticed that the milk was not cold enough to suit me and thus began our ordeal. I can cut out a lot of detail, as it is so very similar to all the other cases, but it concerns the freezing up of the motor and fan in the back. This does not affect the freezer, in our case. The end result so far, (we have another part and new repair company coming in three days), is, after many repair calls, the thing sounds like a B29, but does nothing. I believe, with all my heart, that nothing will come of the new part, and we will be back in the same mess within a few weeks. The ringerreally was something that happened early on. I found a guy on YouTube who made a video showing how to take off the back and defrost the darn thing with a hair dryer! I dont understand, though I know nothing about how to proceed with this myself, why this problem is not cause for a class action lawsuit. Samsung seems to be getting away with murder.

Bought this Samsung model #DW80H9930US dishwasher 8 months ago. The piece of crap starting leaking on its third use and has never stopped. The dishwasher leaks from the doors and seems beneath the door. It has never latched properly so that when if and when it ever reaches a steam cycle without human intervention, the steam escapes from the top of the dishwasher and soaks the entire counter top which then drips to the floor too. Sometimes, I would excited because I only had to intervene with the door twice during a cycle to ensure washing completion. 8 months later, I have to re-latch the door six times to complete the cycle while the dishwasher pisses all over the floor. Ive had Samsung out two times already to fix this never ending problem to no avail and I am working on my third time now.Getting in touch with someone to speak with at Samsung who can get me to the right person to fix the damn thing is a nightmare. After speaking with at least two people who I have to repeatedly ask to repeat themselves because of thick middle eastern accents, I am then told to email all of my proof of purchase receipts to an unnamed department without any point of contact information, whom I am told will get back to me within 24 hours. It then goes from 24 hours to 48 hours (as told by the third person with an accent). When I clarify with her that in two days I should be receiving a call, she tells me that its 48 BUSINESS HOURS! So I now have to wait another week before I even get a call back to tell me they have verified I made the purchase legitimately.So... I email my proof of purchase to a totally different group of people (apart from the customer service reps with accents) and they get back with me about 17 hours later, with an e-mail telling me I need to upload the documents instead of emailing the documents; more time wasted. This is Samsung!!! And when they call me back about four days later, with a blessing stating they believe I made the purchase, they call a company in California who contracts with repairmen in my state who will eventually come to my house to look at the leaking monstrosity. And if they dont get it fixed on that visit, I have to start the process over again. I am disgusted with Samsung and will never. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. There is a class action lawsuit with their washing machines right now. I am surprised there is not a class action for the dishwashers. Anyone know a good torte attorney???

How to fix Samsung microwave SE Code - We had the exact same problem ... SE code out of the blue, keypad wouldnt work at all. I have the solution and all you need is a Phillips head screwdriver, no skill required for the rest. I searched internet, found a YouTube video on how to take the panel apart. Unplug your microwave, follow directions to take panel off - a 5 minute job. Unplug and replug blue and white connectors...easy. Take some rubbing alcohol and wipe off that green ribbon (I read this a lot on other sites). While you have everything apart, wipe down the inside, there was some gook behind the panel so I figured, what the heck. I put it back together, plug it in. We havent had any problems since. Save your money, this is a very easy fix. I feel like the quality of every thing these days is cheap, made overseas **, so having this happen in under 24 months did not surprise me. Im just glad I didnt get ripped off further by Samsung telling me a professional repairman was needed. It was a 20 minute fix from start to finish, maybe less.

My husband and I purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator with the bottom freezer. This refrigerator contains two ice makers one in the refrigerator and one in the freezer. The Ice maker in the refrigerator has stopped working and I found out today that Samsung does not make the parts to repair my ice maker in the refrigerator part. I have spent almost $3000 for this refrigerator and it’s only about three years old and I am quite upset at the fact that I can’t get the parts to fix it! The model number is RF263TEAESG/AA. The part number for the ice maker is DA-97-08117B.I have spoken to Samsung directly on May 24, 2019 and spoke to Ryan and she directed me to J and J international for Samsung parts, I spoke to a woman named Dawn who looked up my part number and told me they discontinued it and I cannot get it. What am I supposed to do with my refrigerator when my ice maker doesn’t work and I’ve spent all this money on it and Samsung discontinued the part. I still had to pay the appliance guy $150 just for showing up and letting me know that he can’t get the parts. I personally feel that Samsung is putting out poor quality appliances and I will never purchase one again. I am stuck with a Samsung refrigerator that does not work properly and I would like you to contact Samsung about this problem! Sincerely, Debra **.

Parts replaced, repaired repeatedly, technician even asked us to buy gadget to guard power fluctuations but to no avail. Been servicing the unit for almost 7 months & technicians says its functioning okay. I bought a ref/freezer. But its not freezing even when set to power freeze.Lost track of the countless times we called up the Service Center, Samsung main office & SM Appliance NE-The Block, not to mention my personal appearances to personally lodge my complaints, but until now Samsung Ref. remains a trash. The floodings in our floor after sometime every time it is plugged, the money put to waste for spoiled foods, the days I have to go on leave or the days my nephew have to absent himself from school waiting for the technician to come, the emotional stress this ref. had brought the entire family esp. to me & my husband abroad who had been helping me to call Samsung, these among other things brought nightmare to our otherwise peaceful living. Why do this if they cant fix the problem that is causing the issue? The repairman basically told us to not use the crushed ice option. WHAT? Why own an ice maker if you cant use the crushed ice? I have had an SE error code for 3 years and also lighting and fan would come on at random while we were sitting on the couch and got so bad we had to unplug it before we left the house. I called Samsung and they sent out a repairman who said it was under a recall and replaced the touch pad which didnt fix it and left with a new keypad installed and doing the same EXACT thing! They came out again to replace the touch pad and he said it was not the touch pad on mine causing the SE error and other problems, it was the circuit main board that they unscrew and reuse on the new keypad. The repairman wanted over $200 to order and come back out and replace to fix the SE error code and lighting and fan issue. I declined the repair because I wasnt sinking another $200 in a $400 Microwave and immediately called Samsung and informed them that the keypad was NOT the part going bad from stove top grease on ALL microwaves, that it is also the circuit board. And the Supervisor said that Samsung would not cover that part because only the keypad is covered. Look folks, I worked at a name brand new car dealership as a technician and I will tell you.... ANY part that is causing the problem with the recall is covered so that the check engine light, etc is resolved and the customer goes away happy. Samsung told me when I told them they were about to lose a customer over this that they are sorry to lose me but they wont fix the recall unless its the EXACT part that lets say 10,000 microwaves have over 100 microwaves have being this electronic main board! I am very very upset over this and do not understand why they will install a part in someones microwave that wont fix the recall. Now the microwave stays on when you open the door so I guess a lawsuit is going to be coming from someone over this.

After 2 years, this stove broke during the self clean cycle (only 2nd time I ran self clean). I tried calling Samsung and they were no assistance. They gave me the name of several repair facilities none of which were still in business or willing to come to my town which by the way is not large but still has 60,000 people living in it. Samsung does not provide any service whatsoever once a product is out of warranty. I was put on hold for 40 minutes - tried talking to a supervisor who promised to call me back with a list of repair facilities and they never did. I spent almost $4000 on this range and after two years it has broken and I cannot get it serviced. I am building a new home and will never ever again by Samsung appliances. I could have lived with a quality issue but not with the absolute zero service and willing to help issue. I have heard that Samsung tries to make getting service so horrendous that people will just buy another unit rather than fixing it. To spend $4000 on a stove that only lasts 2 years is unacceptable!

By the time we saw the problem, the temperature in the refrigerator had already gotten into a warm state and the freezer was beginning to thaw. We could not press any of the settings to restore refrigeration. Only after totally removing power on our wall outlet was the refrigerator able to resume normal operation. The problem, of course, is--- what if we werent home to catch the problem? On telephoning Samsung Warranty Service with our concern, we were told that this is a FEATURE - NOT A FLAW. As of this writing we have no solution to our concern. We bought a Samsung SMH9187 in April 2011. It started to give intermittent (1/month) SE error and beeping around November 2011. We did not call for repair as the microwave still worked. The microwave completely stopped working in May 2012. We called Samsung to inquire about the error and learn whether there was any chance the warranty would cover it, since it began months before the warranty expired. They attempted to argue that the warranty was from date of manufacture (and thus ended in November 2011, thankful I had my receipt with date of purchase). We were informed that Samsung would pay for the replacement part but not the cost of installing it. Their authorized repair company would call us in 48 hours. We didnt hear anything from them for 5 days. We called Samsung and asked if we could have the part sent directly to us, no, this is against their policy. The authorized service company indicated a cost of $145 to replace the part. However, they cant do anything until Samsung Service includes more information in their service request to the authorized dealer.I contacted Samsung again and asked them to provide me with the part number that needs to be replaced. They gave me the phone number of their authorized parts dealer and told me that this dealer can provide me with the part number. The authorized parts dealer told me that they cant provide me with the part number over the phone. I need to go to their website (samsungparts.com) and look up my model # and use keyword control panel. Im told that the part I need costs $78.98 (she can tell me the price but not the part number?!)I still dont know the part number that Samsung was going to provide me for free, but the website has two parts called control panel for my model of microwave, one of which is $78.98. Luckily, the website does include the part numbers. I checked Sears Parts Direct and found the same part for $40.99. I ordered it, paid $11 shipping, and Im now hoping that the replacement process is relatively simple.I understand that things break, but, after my experience and seeing all the Samsung SE stories on the internet, Samsung products and service are terrible! Im beginning to think that Samsung is purposely making it difficult to learn about the meanings of the error codes and how to repair them, so that you use their service company or buy parts from their overpriced supplier.

We purchased an expensive Samsung refrigerator (model # RFG297AAWP). If any water from the water dispenser does not make it into the cup, it leaks behind the clear protective plastic coating on the refrigerator door. (Obviously it was not sealed properly... a manufacturers defect.) The water leaves unsightly stains on the refrigerator door that cannot be cleaned (because it is behind the plastic coating). It is embarrassing to have company over because the refrigerator looks filthy. Its frustrating that it is not cleanable. Samsung accepts no responsibility for this because they claim it is cosmetic in nature. Yes, my refrigerator still keeps the food cold... but it looks horrendous!Furthermore, Samsung has since changed the door. I was willing to pay $300 for a new door even though the issue was Samsungs fault. However, the replacement door does not match the other door. Samsung changed the look of the doors. (The new door is more squared off and less rounded, plus the handle is higher than the handle on the second door.) My only option is to replace BOTH doors at $600. Samsung claims no responsibility and will do nothing other than let me know its my problem to deal with. Never buy a Samsung refrigerator. Their customer service is poor and they accept responsibility for nothing! Im done with Samsung!

I have been searching the net reading all the negative things said about my less than a year old fridge. Mine also freezes inside the back panel, makes so much noise I cant watch TV. So, once again in less than a week I have to defrost it. I wish I had seen these reviews first. I have a Samsung TV, fridge, dishwasher, gas range and microwave. None of them have been what I expected or hoped for. Glad I bought a GE washer and dryer!

I purchased a Samsung side by side with ice maker less than two years ago. It went out on Oct 28. We have had a technician out twice. The second time he ordered parts which have been here for over a week. It is now Nov 20 and now they tell me they can’t have anyone come out until Dec 9. I have called numerous times to see if they could send someone out before Dec 9. The last time the technician was here over two weeks ago, he told us not to put much food in the fridge because it will just refreeze and go out. It is such a hassle and expense to go to the store every couple of days. We have lost hundreds of dollars of food that has not been replaced.
