I bought a Samsung dishwasher from Home Depot last year. Screws have fallen
I bought a Samsung dishwasher from Home Depot last year. Screws have fallen out so that it wobbles and leans forward when putting dishes in and out of the washer. I complained to the store when it was only 6 mo. old. They told me to call the Samsung. The company told me to call the installer which Home Depot supplied and could not tell me who it was. No one would take responsibility. So I paid approx $400.00 for a dishwasher that is always wobbling.

Purchased Samsung Black Stainless French Door - bottom freezer on 6/10/17. Freezer stopped working in 4/2019. Samsung said they would do a 1 X free parts - I would have to pay labor (or vice versa). Warranty was up (less than 2 years since purchase). They entered a wrong phone on service request - not just a wrong number but something made up like: 12345678 which cancelled my appointment because service provider could not reach me. Called them back and they told me they were sorry and because of this they would also pay both the labor and parts. Meanwhile I had researched what could have been wrong and found quite a few google answers that people experienced same thing and it was the evaporator motor. I relayed that to service provider so if they brought that part it would be fixed sooner than later. (Side note at this point we also had to buy a freezer so all the food we stocked up on during pandemic didnt end up in the garbage). They fixed it. Several months later both the refrigerator and freezer stopped working. I called Samsung and immediately was told I would have to pay for repair. I questioned it ONLY. But was prepared to pay the $99 for a diagnostic. They put in service ticket and then noticed days later it was cancelled? I called them and they said we cancelled it because you refused to pay. I never refused to pay?!I ended up called the service provider - they sorted it out and I paid them $99 for house call. They diagnosed it as needing some kind of sealer and refrigerant and Samsung has lengthened the time of the warranty of that particular problem (probably must be an ongoing issue). They had to come back a week later. I was also told - it may or may not work. Sure enough end of May freezer died. Service provider could not come out until the 11th of June. Beginning of beginning of June 2020 refrigerator died as well. Had to throw out all perishables. So we got less than 3 years use. One correction - I communicated with Samsung through their CHAT option. I ended up cancelling the appointment today 6/9/20 and taking the loss and ordering a different brand that wont be delivered until 7/13/20. Horrible experience with this refrigerator. Purchase date: 6/10/2017 - Garbage date: 6/9/20.

Ice maker & water dispenser have caused unspeakable frustration: We paid a premium for matching upper end appliances including the Samsung refrigerator which has caused my wife and I unspeakable frustration from the first year we purchased it. We love ice tea with ice and thought we bought a high end refrigerator that would allow us to have ice for our ice tea at the touch of a button. But that has certainly NOT been the case! The ice maker does not produce ice due to internal parts freezing up. This problem started within the first year we purchased it and after $100s in repair costs and uncountable hours spend thawing efforts, the same thing keeps happening over and over no matter how dry I get it. Besides freezing up, the motor has always made a loud noise which my wife cant stand and our guests ask what is that noise? Additionally, I had to spend $200 on a countertop ice maker because our $3,000 Samsung ice maker does not work. I hate to sell it to anyone else so we are stuck with it and dont know what to do with the piece of junk! Since Samsung knows that they sold me a design flawed product, I think they should replace my refrigerator ASAP.

My three-year old Samsung freezer is constantly frosting up and has built up ice so badly that the gasket around the freezer drawer is now completely out of whack and the draw doesnt close properly anymore which only makes matters worse. I had a Sears repairman come to the house and he tried. He said he had fixed the problem; well, he didnt. I paid $2,800 for this refrigerator and did not buy extended warranty thinking I would not need it and could not really afford anymore. It cost me $300 to have a serviceman come to the house and its still not fixed.

Samsung fridge with the drink drawer is the smarter purchase I've made! I purchased the 'Samsung - 28.2 Cu. Ft. 4-Door French Door Apps Refrigerator with Thru-the-Door Ice and Water - Stainless steel -Model:RF28HMELBSR" 3 years ago and have never regretted it. The fridge is a powerhouse with cool features. The drink drawer is SO awesome! It keeps our soda and beer cool and out of the way! It has a mini-touchscreen that plays Pandora, shows our calendar, weather and news, plus has an app for drawing notes. The connection isn't always stable and the phone mirroring app never worked, but I don't care. It's really cool. Keeps the food fresh, the freezer is large and has a drawer for small items as well. The shelves are movable and it looks lovely. I totally recommend it!

Same problem as Ashok of San Diego - the water dispenser on our Samsung refrigerator turned itself on around 2am and kept running, flooding our kitchen. The onboard computer threw error code PC ER and shut down the entire machine (except for closing the water valve), not even the light inside would go on when we opened the door. It made a huge mess. We now know from reading this board and from several other sources that there have been numerous problems with ice/water dispensers across many Samsung models. Our model # is RSG257AARS and the unit is just 2 months out of its 1 year warranty. We contacted @SamsungSupport via Twitter. They were polite but will do nothing to stand behind their product. Granted we just missed the warranty period but this is an established, well documented, and widespread problem, an obvious design/manufacturing defect (just read this board!). Rhetorically, who ever heard of a water dispenser turning itself on overnight and causing a flood? Is that not egregiously unacceptable for a one year and two month old, very expensive appliance? Our trusted, local appliance repair guy says it would cost $600 to fix, as the PC ER code represents a massive electronics failure. He doesnt even want to tackle the job at all because he thinks that even with replacement parts installed, its very likely to reoccur due to the low quality of Samsung components, and he doesnt want to be responsible. He researched and found that Samsung has huge problems with its water/ice makers. We purchased the fridge at Lowes, thinking we were getting a good price relative to competitors products, given the features and sleek (looking) design. You get what you pay for, folks. Dont fall for the pretty face. I will never, ever buy another Samsung appliance and I will continue to be vocal about my experience in hope that I can persuade others to avoid doing so also.

RFG297AA/XAA - My wife purchased this fridge from Lowes 03/09/2009. We had a problem of water pooling and freezing the deli tray to freezer. I finally removed back panel to take a look at frozen coil. There is a drain so I am not sure why water is draining to interior of fridge. After reading comments this is definitely a common problem for Samsung fridges, but when speaking with customer service they do not seem to have any knowledge of problem.

Range NX58H5600SS: Bad experience with this range. I was smelling gas and I call my gas company, I have warranty with them. I was so mad because its been over 3 weeks trying to resolve this problem, I spent like $800 on this range. They told me Samsung dont make this part any long or its on back order. Now I think I have to buy a new stove. I will not be buying this brand. Customer service is horrible. I have this stove less than 2 years. I had another old stove which lasted over 20 years and no problems. I am very frustrated. Why would they discontinue a parts and the stove is still selling in stores.

SMH1816B - This oven was my Christmas gift purchased December 2012 from Best Buy. Our mistake was buying it too soon before kitchen was ready for installation. So now its out of warranty. Because of the semi-remodeling, it didnt get installed until March 2014. Worked great for 4 months. My husband even went beyond the call to make sure the extra venting to the outside was installed. The auto turn on for that vent never worked so I just manually turned it on as needed. Then 3 days ago, our daughter opened the door to reheat some nachos and the screen was dead. Troubleshooted everything: the outlet, the dedicated power line in the fuse box, etc. 24 hours later, the formerly dead screen mysteriously lit back up and instructed us to set the clock! So we did. It worked for a day. Then my husband opened the door to reheat a cup of coffee and closed the door and discovered BLACK SCREEN again! We went through all the troubleshooting again, unplug, re-plug, etc. to no avail. I called then filled out the form on Samsungs help site and was instructed to call 1800 SAMSUNG, which I did. They said it was out of warranty and if I wanted to get it fixed, I would have to pay. I called a local certified Samsung repair service and they said it could be loose wires that get moved when opening and closing the door and it would cost $120.00 to re-seat the wires. This is totally unacceptable that an appliance would be allowed to be manufactured so poorly that the wires could unseat themselves just by opening and closing the door, an action that is REQUIRED in order to use it! The model needs a recall asap!

I will never in my life purchase or referred to anyone anything that Samsung makes. I had the same thing happen to me this year with their curve TV; stopped working one year later. I hope someday they will have to pay us all back for taking advantage of us. Their products are designed to fail after a year. In my case $5000.00 lost for two items just over one year old and their warranty expired. I hate everything about this company and we need to make sure our voice are heard. Bought in August 2014 with an extended warranty. Have had electronics replaced. Now it leaks. Samsung does not want to repair the unit but for ME to return it to the store for a credit or get another machine and take it home and install myself. This I cannot do. After 1 1/2 hrs on the phone, 2 representatives of Samsung hanging up on me, I have gotten one of them to agree to honoring the warranty and repairing my dishwasher. I purchased a Samsung DMT300 dishwasher last year. Shortly after I bought it, it started to smell horrible. No matter how I tried to clean it or adjust the drain hose, it still stinks. It smells like sour milk and rotten food. It hardly cleans the dishes even on the longest cycle with the Sanitize button pressed. All our glasses are covered with food particles. $500 Ice Maker Repair on 2.5-Year-Old Unit - We purchased a French-door refrigerator in July 2010. The ice maker stopped working about two weeks ago. The circuit control board for the ice maker and the ice maker need to be replaced. The repairman said this was a known issue. I contacted Samsung. I was treated nicely and transferred to an expert. But, they said there was nothing they could do - not even offer us the replacement parts - since the warranty was only one year. We paid just under $1,400 for this item. We definitely will not purchase a Samsung anything in the future. Crappy products and no customer service. Maybe they should understand that losing a customer is more costly than sending a replacement part.

Samsung Fridge RF28HFEDBSR. Yes another bad review. We bought the fridge 6/9/2014 when it was new and not more than a month old. The ice maker goes out. They replace the ice maker and 2 months later it freezes on us. This time they sent out a repairman with a hair dryer, yes, a HAIR DRYER and defrosted the problem. Fixed for 2 days. I have had the dance of the repair and replace for 3 years now. We keep buying the warranty and they keep fixing and replacing. You would think they would have a fix for this by now. Why havent they offered to replace the fridge? I no longer own any Samsung products.

When purchased my new kitchen for my wife 3 years ago, we were big fans of Samsung. The fridge was beautiful. We got it from Best Buy along with the Flex Duo range in SS to upgrade from our old black appliances (Kenmore, French door). We had warranties on everything and thought wed be safe. Never expected to use it as much as we did. Two times in three years of ownership and then being disabled vets, I was tending to my wife in the hospital and missed the warranty expiration date by one day and Best Buy refused to restart it. Probably because of all the problems they were having with the fridge. Now Im left trying to keep this fridge going as best I can. Sadly the old Kenmore that has been running for all the time that Ive had my new Samsung is still running problem free in my garage! Samsung should either step up their game or stick to televisions. Youve never seen a Whirlpool or Kenmore phone. Do what you do and do it well! Nobody has an extra $2000 laying around to fix a companys errors!

Repeated email and phone contact with customer service about this FIRE HAZARD was a test of patience. Each contact told us to wait 24 more hours and we would be contacted by someone. Days passed. No oven. No stove. Wires attached to the back of the oven, melted. Plastic on the terminal block melted. This is DANGEROUS and deserves immediate attention. Do NOT buy Samsung. Thats my advice. I have a Samsung model RF28HDEDBSR/AA, serial #06EC43AFB01664x purchased from Best Buy. It has nothing to do with them though. Samsung is the problem... We just finished paying the darn refrigerator off... THANK GOD I have a service contract with a home warranty company since the ice maker is poorly designed! So far we have had 4 repairs, 2 replacements of the ice maker unit, special sealant added all around the unit and STILL, the ice comes out slushy and the unit leaks water constantly. I contacted Samsung and, much like all the other complaints I have read, I was told how sorry they were, but that since my unit is over their warranty, nothing could be done. She was willing to contact a repair person though everything is on me from there. Again, THANK GOD I have the home warranty...The Samsung representative stated they had no recalls nor were aware of any issues... I wonder if they check sites like this! We LOVE the unit since it is 28 cubic feet of great space. The fatal flaw is the ice-maker and I would tell anyone looking to not buy it unless you dont mind constant pulling of the ice machine unit to remove ice build-up or put up with constant calls for repairs...

I purchased a French Door Samsung refrigerator. The refrigerator is dripping water down the inside back wall which pools under the crisper drawers and freezes. The first time I realized this the ice was nearly two inches thick and the drawers were hard to open. I called the company while at work, to discuss the issue and the representative input the phone # I called from and called me by a coworkers name, gave me their home address and phone number and began to discuss their previous concerns. This was private information and I asked for his supervisor. He would not allow me to reach the supervisor and I disconnected the call after 15 minutes of continuous requesting. That began my customer service problems. I contacted Lowes because I bought the item there with the extended warranty. Many hours, calls, and visits to the store later, they couldnt locate the warranty at first, and finally informed me that the warranty had expired and they could send a repairman out at my cost. I explained the problem being a manufacture defect. Per the Lowes manager, my model has not been reported as having the issue, but several other models have been reported with this problem. Turns out that you can pay $299 of $4000 for an appliance and the warranty Lowes provides is one year. Higher cost does not mean better quality or service.Back to the refrigerator... I was able to locate a video on YouTube of a gentleman taking the inside of the same model refrigerator apart to thaw/defrost the drain tube so the water would not pool inside the refrigerator. This self-repair job is not what I purchased when I paid $2000 for the item. I believe Samsung should be sued on our behalf by our government and banned from selling products in the United States. Where is the consumer protection in this country and why isnt something being done about the junk Samsung is allowed to sell in the U.S.? I will never purchase another item from Samsung! EVER! I hate to think of the damage they will continue to do to the consumers. The organization is out for huge dollars and based on the rating of 1 star, they are not interested in keeping the consumer. After all, the original sale is where they get the big bucks! My advice to all consumers is NEVER BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS, PERIOD!!! I will continue to share my experience any way possible to prevent as many people from becoming victims of this company scam.

However, the freezer never seemed to cool cold enough to freeze ice cream as well as pools of water under my cheese drawer in the fridge section. Pros: very quiet, cleans and dries well, utensil rack is wonderful. Cons: the planets have to align in order for the buttons to work. They even mention this in the manual, after 2 weeks the “guides” for the utensil rack started breaking, in 4 weeks we received an LC error and the drain pump kept running, we would power it off and it would turn itself back on (which was interesting since half of the time we couldn’t power it on due to button issue). We had to shut off the circuit breaker. The error was for a water leak. My husband started looking at reviews and apparently this is a widespread issue. The design for draining is flawed and any moisture will cause this error. We are exchanging it. Best Buy was gracious and one of the sales people said that we were not the first to return this appliance. I was so disappointed because in the first week I really liked its performance. We are waiting for the replacement so I am currently using my high priced dishwasher as a draining rack as I wash my dishes by hand.

As I tell all of my friends, stay away from Samsung appliances. They may make good phones but they should stick to just that! We bought a Samsung french door, freezer on the bottom refrigerator 4 years ago. The ice maker started freezing up and not working 6 months after we bought it. At times it makes so much noise it wakes us up. Now a new problem... the fridge just stops cooling even though the freezer is still working. Its an on again off again problem leaving us never knowing when our food might go bad. Yesterday it stopped working for hours so I ordered a Whirlpool (which I shouldnt have to replace a rather expensive 4 year old fridge) online from Lowes. Then about 10 pm it just started working again. I called a repairman only to find out that, between diagnostic and the fix, someone would have to be here about 2 to 3 hours. My husband and I are both high risk if we get Corona so I really dont want someone in my home. Now I dont know whether to trust it or go ahead and spend another $2000 (were on social security and cant really afford it) or just hope and pray that we dont get sick from eating spoiled food if it goes out and comes back on while we are sleeping. From what I see on this forum Samsung, you have caused so much stress and anxiety with your defective products, not to mention possible illness. You should (but Im sure youre not) be ashamed!

On May 7, 2015 our Samsung refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling, and all our food was spoiled. The unit was under warranty so I contacted Samsung but they refused to honor their warranty. It took twenty days of emailing product support, service request, phone calls and live chats between Samsung and I, for them to finally send someone to look at the unit. It took another seven days for a repair man to show up with a replacement part to fix it. We went almost a month without a fridge. The working fridge only lasted a few days before it failed to cool again and I lost what I had stored in my fridge, again. A technician was able to mend the problem. But just a few days later it gave out again. Every time this unit failed I lost most of the food in the fridge. The Samsung authorized repairman doesnt even want to deal with my fridge and tells us to deal with Samsung. Samsung just sends us around in circles between their support pages. I have most of the emails and phone calls documented and saved.

Four years ago I purchased a Samsung Counter Depth Refrigerator. Last year the refrigerator quit, the repairman said the entire back was frozen. We surmised it was due to the ice maker being housed in the refrigerator (not the freezer), we defrosted it and I quit using the ice maker and turned it off. We use a countertop ice maker now. But lo and behold, it has done it again. This time I contacted Samsung who referred me to an authorized Repair person who ordered the parts to repair the refrigerator. It’s been a month now and I AM STILL WAITING!!!

I bought this Samsung refrigerator RSG5FUPN three years ago and today I can testify that it was one of the worst shopping in my life (and I have over 40 years of experience with other refrigerators). It has many defects related to the quality of materials: A long crack (about 40 cm in length) was created in the inner wall of the freezer. At the bottom of the kiosk door, rust (corrosion) was spreading. The doors color faded and yellowed. Internal shelves and covers are broken for no reason (during normal use). Drawers have places where dirt accumulates and cannot be cleaned.

No matter how I try to clean it... bleach, ammonia, vinegar or one of the dishwasher disinfectants that you can buy... it still stinks... the same with the front loader machines... What can I do to get rid of the stench? Im about ready to go chew on someone knowing its NOT their fault. I thought Id purchase a well known dependable brand name but I think Id.... Let me rephrase that, I know I like my Magic Chef 100% more than this top dollar unit. Its a shame that the USA allows such crap to be imported from another country... Lesson well learned... Bought this item new in September and feel good if we get 3 washes out of 10 attempts. It constantly blinks in the heavy cycle and is basically stuck there. The unit will start up like its going to wash and gets stuck in a drain cycle. Theres no water in the tub - it just runs like its trying to drain. The problem is intermittent which drives me crazy as weve had service people out and the unit worked fine. 2 days later it was back to its old self - stuck in a drain cycle. Aside from this, it does not get the dishes dry and many times the soap dispenser doesnt open - therein the dishes only get rinsed. If I could only go back - I would buy the Bosch any day over this POC.

Rust spots have started to appear on the stainless steel fridge doors and freezer doors. Contacted Samsung and they said that it was a cosmetic issue and therefore not covered under the warranty! What use is a warranty if a stainless steel door rusts after two months. Really terrible customer service. Always had great products in the past from them, so thought the fridge would be good, but turned out to be terrible, very expensive mistake. Also the ice production is poor, way less than the old fridge I used to have and the veg crispers are tiny, not large enough for a regular shop.

I purchased my Samsung Refrigerator RM255LASH from Lowes on Christmas Eve (the only place open with a refrigerator we could take that day). It was the last one and a floor model, but we had no choice. Also, the price was $2,100, which is quite high for a refrigerator but again we had no choice. After three years, the icemaker stopped making ice. We did not do anything about it. Then it started leaking water but again we did not do anything about. I thought it had something to do with the icemaker. Then the freezer stopped freezing. Again, I procrastinated and did not call Samsung. In January of this year, it started making a horrible noise and stopped getting cold. At this point, I contacted Samsung because there are no local appliance repairmen willing to come and look at a Samsung refrigerator. There are no parts available to them. I had someone Samsung recommended to come out and look at it. Its something that should be covered by the five-year warranty. I was assured by two people at Samsung that they would take care of it even though I could not produce a receipt (my Lowes receipt was completely faded). Now after three months of going back and forth between the appliance repair company and Samsung, they said they will not cover it unless I produce a receipt. After reading the many complaints about Samsung refrigerators, it seems to be the norm that they do not last for more than 3-4 years. They are overpriced and inferior products. I would warn people not to buy Samsung because of all of the above and also their poor customer service.

I was told that this was considered an epidemic type of issue that Samsung is aware of. We bought our Samsung dishwasher thinking that all dishwashers were the same. This was just an upgraded appliance that would match our new refrigerator. Were we wrong! The LC code popped up one night after it drained out the water on our kitchen floor. No matter if I opened the door or closed it the dishwasher ran. I had to cut the power off to the dishwasher to get it to stop. Hours on the phone to Samsung only to be sent to some place for repairs that was over three hours away. Looked up reviews for this place and they were terrible. We ended up going back to Home Depot that night where we bought it from. No problem, they took it back and we purchased a KitchenAid for just $100 more. This was on a Sunday evening and we had our new dishwasher on Friday morning. Home Depot stepped up big time on this one. Apparently theres been a lot of this going on and they werent surprised but really couldnt say the words. When our installer came over he also couldnt say the words but did agree with the statement that Samsung dishwashers were the ones they replaced the most. Ill spend the time researching before our next appliance purchase. I guess appliances arent all about the looks and the fancy technology now. Experiences from actual consumers tell the real story. Needless to say we wont be buying any products from Samsung.

We purchased this refrigerator a year and three months ago. The first three months it smelled so strong like plastic it was hard to take. And two weeks ago it began making a jackhammer noise every couple of minutes we ended up having to have the water filter case replaced which cost us over $200. I spent an hour yes and hour on hold with Samsung who kept saying they could not do anything to assist us with the problem. Cannot wait to see what goes wrong next with this refrigerator. After 2 years, we started having trouble with our Samsung double door refrigerator freezing up. We had a technician out to fix it and he replaced the whole back panel. It worked for a couple of months and then began to freeze up again. The same technician came out again and we were chatting about what was happening and he suddenly realized the problem was that when you close the front doors, the piece that seals between the doors was no longer turning properly in the slot to seal between the doors, but rather just staying straight ahead leaving an opening where warm air could enter and the fridge would work overtime. He said there is a piece that often doesnt get installed when the fridge is delivered that keeps this from happening and over time the left door had moved down slightly causing the piece to not turn correctly. It was a simple fix to the left door raising it slightly so that the doors are now sealing properly. So far the fridge seems to be working better. I hope this helps someone else having these issues.

I purchased a real nice looking Samsung fridge on 4/4/14 to be exact and on 4/12/18 the compressor went out on the Fridge portion of the refrigerator. The freezer and ice maker are still working. The fridge is under warranty for 5 yrs. Samsung makes you deal with their claims dept for everything or you will void the warranty. I have called not kidding over 20 times and every time someone different and having to start all over again. Finally after a week and a half I get a Samsung repairman out that tells me the repair is too expensive and Samsung is gonna either replace my fridge or give me a refund.WELL after all the issues with dealing with them I WILL NEVER EVER BUY A SAMSUNG ANYTHING. Once I told them I wanted a refund, they have given me nothing but the run around. My refund is $3333.46. I been sent to their claims specialty dept. For nothing but lies!!! The fridge I bought has the front door electrical panel water dispenser. Its 4 doors, bottom half could be fridge space if you don’t need freezer. The freezer can convert to fridge. I was at Best Buy yesterday and saw someone in the process of buying that same fridge and I wanted to yell out to them DON’T DO IT!!!

I purchased my Samsung Refrigerator only a year and a half ago and it started to make a loud noise. Had it serviced and the service professional advised it was a build up of ice in the mechanisms causing the fan to not spin properly. He advised this was a fault of the POOR DESIGN and that it would continue to have this issue! I have been online looking for solutions to this issue that would be less costly than engaging a repair man each time and found hundreds of videos by Samsung refrigerator owners who are experiencing the same issue. Tell me why a company would continue to build a product and sell it to the public KNOWING it has a critical fault. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER SAMSUNG PRODUCT. I have no confidence in the companys ability to build products. Not one refrigerator should have left their warehouse after they realized the fault in the engineering. Adding one more complaint to the 600 plus list of dissatisfied individuals
Adding one more complaint to the 600 plus list of dissatisfied individuals reports seems pointless but I want to share my experience and my frustration to hopefully shake things up, tell the manufacturers that allowing these products to remain on the market, knowing that they are failing and then telling people who have spent anywhere from $500 to over $1000 that they are now stuck with a useless appliance because the 1-year warranty is up is unacceptable. If this doesnt eventually end up as a class action lawsuit which is my next step, heres hoping I can at least deter someone who is considering buying one of these piles of junk to look elsewhere. I am a first time homeowner and was very excited about all the updated appliances that were coming with my kitchen. During the home inspection, immediately a foul odor couldnt be missed when opening the dishwasher (DW80F600) but after letting it run a full cycle it subsided and we chalked it up to probably being caused by sitting water and the machine not having been run for awhile. BIG MISTAKE. First cycle I did with dishes, the tablet was half-dissolved, dishes were soaking wet, murky and dirtier than they were when they went in with an assaultive sour odor to follow when it actually stopped running about 4 hours later. After some troubleshooting with bleach, liquid dishwasher detergent, rinse aid and running hot water before starting the machine with no changes it was time to contact the home warranty company that came with the house. They happily sent out a technician costing me a $100 deductible. He diagnosed that the circuit board was the problem and that it was causing it to stay in rinse mode. Then when I told him about the odor his response was that most of the newer dishwashers have that smell. This did not sit well with me but figured, maybe with the new circuit board the smell and other issues would go away. Part arrived, he came and installed it. Problem NOT solved with no improvements. Called again, asked for a different company to be sent out (and by the way good luck trying to find technicians who work on Samsung products, definitely a huge red flag). This visit, he said that the problem is the entire pump and needs to be replaced. So this is where I am at now and pretty confident that this dishwasher is going to be an ongoing problem, needing repairs constantly with mediocre improvements until my warranty is up leaving me stuck with paying for all technical support and parts out of pocket. And just a quick side note: I did call Samsung about the odor and the condition that the dishes were coming out in. The response I got from the representative was nothing less than infuriating but went like this: she was quick to tell me that the warranty was up and that unfortunately there was nothing they could do. Regarding the odor, she simply said that this was the first shes heard of this problem. And to wrap it all up she proceeded to tell me the proper way to load a dishwasher, that it is helpful to pre-clean the dishes before loading and to leave the door cracked to assist with the drying. Thank you Samsung. This whole ordeal has struck a very bad chord with me and anyone interested or knowledgeable about making moves towards class action please contact me.

Dont buy Samsung Ranges. I brought the chef collection 30 last year and within two months had to exchange it for another. After four technicians later and new computer boards, they finally replaced it with a new one. The range would go on by itself and the only way to shut it off was the main switch in the basement. So far so good until one day I was making a sandwich for lunch and heard this loud cracking. I didnt know where it was coming from so that night when I started dinner I realized it was the cooktop that cracked. I wasnt using it, the range was off. This is most bizarre. How can this happen? Well I looked up on this consumer site and apparently Im not the first person. So theres got to be a defect right? Maybe a recall is in order. When I called Samsung they said they would extend my warranty but I needed a tech to come out to make sure it wasnt caused by physical damage. Okay a tech came out and clearly wrote that it was not caused by physical damage and reported that to Samsung. I called them to see what happens next and they claim I need a second opinion and more pictures. They forwarded more pics and Samsung said it was caused by physical damage and I wasnt covered by the warranty. I asked a customer relations person who can I talk to that can help me. She said an executive customer service person, but they only have outgoing calls, you will have to wait until they call you. That person called me today and left a message and told me according to the pictures it was physical damage. So I guess they are calling me a liar. Im not done with them yet, but they are the lowest of the low companies that screw people right and left. Their customer service is full of abrasive people that will not help me. They only have outgoing calls. What in the hell is that? Ive had two of their ranges in 15 months and Im sorry I ever bought one. Terrible company. I bought this item at Best Buy 8/17/2015.

Samsung refrigerator/freezer RFG298HDRS, 5 years old, was fine for the first 3 years. First noticed freezer drawer was becoming more difficult to pull open. While troubleshooting noticed Ice Buildup under drawer. Temporary resolution was achieved by reaching behind the pulled open drawer (drawer pulled wide open, but NOT removed) and using my fist to pound on the ice, broke it up and removed it by hand. This technique needs to be repeated every 2-3 months. I can tell when it needs to be de-iced by the sound of the drawer rubbing on the accumulated ice, which builds up between the bottom of the drawer and the bottom floor of the freezer compartment.Currently, my protocol is to: 1. Place a bath towel on the floor, tucked under the front of the refrigerator. 2. Open the drawer fully. 3. Place another towel over the freezer contents to keep them cold. 4. Wait about 5 minutes. 5. Reach in behind the drawer and pound on the ice with an open palm or a closed fist. The thicker ice at the back if the compartment will break up easiest. Swearing does not really speed up the De-Icing. 6. Hand brush the ice forward and out on the towel. 7. The ice toward the front might need a few more minutes to thaw and loosen.Total time to De-Ice is 10-15 minutes. My best guess is that the problem is a design flaw. Humid air enters the freezer every time the door is opened, collects as frost on the floor, and builds up as any refrigerator without a defrost system will have ice buildup. This guess only explains the Icing if the coolant tubing is under the floor and not under the back and sides. I am not happy with this issue, but this makes it just annoying.

Our over the range stainless steel MWO was installed professionally on 12/28/12. On March 2, 2015 the little plastic piece inside the stainless steel handle (now theres construction for you) to which the handle is attached to the door cracked and fell out. The small 50 cent piece cannot be purchased of course, a full handle assembly to the tune of $56 is required for this fix. No sooner does the handle arrive in the mail, that the hook-clasp spring inside the door stops functioning and now the door wont even stay shut. This model has the electronics in the door, so replacement is about half the cost of the microwave.A phone call to Samsung this morning (3/18/2015) yielded nothing but frustration. I feel like I am a pretty good Samsung customer with the Samsung Range, Samsung Refrigerator, Samsung 10 tablet, 2 Samsung smart phones and 2 Samsung Smart TVs (40 & 50) and 2 Samsung DVD Players. I would think that level of customer would command a certain amount of loyalty from the company. After climbing up to the 1st level of supervisor, my frustration wouldnt allow me chase it further, since they both did the same search for recalls or problems and essentially used the same word tracks. So now I walk the walk of how much to spend on repairs: The MWO is available at Lowes for $449. Installation/delivery is $125. Repairs: $56 for the new handle; $75 Repairman Trip; a new door costs $200. Refrigerator: The door shelf has had to be replaced to the tune of $80. Samsung looks pretty but seems to lack good construction and durability. I never had any issues with any of my GE appliances; nor those that we sold when I was in remodel construction. Guess Ill go back to GE.

OMG, Samsung refrigerators are totally worthless. We have had so many problems and service calls with our new Samsung fridge. Talk about, sounds like an airplane? Yes, it has something to do with the air circulation fan behind the thermostatically controlled shelf. The noise starts as a humming and moves on to a machine gun, hard click about once every half second. It started when the machine was new and happened 3 more times. The 1st and 2nd time we had it repaired. Today we are hauling away this nearly new machine. We loved this machine when we were shopping for a new fridge. We got this one because it had a dual compressor and a special thermostatically controlled drawer. Love and joy ended real fast because those are things that broke first. (We are 2 old people and we hardly go into the refrigerator -- so you cant blame any problems on kids and abusive overuse.) We hear our problem this week is a broken diverter -- will only be a mere $750 to fix. Right now our shiny, stainless unit is sitting on the sidewalk. Our fabulous new fridge from Home Depot is a top of the line LG for several hundred $ less than $2000 -- LG getting about 5 stars from reviews. Now that Im looking at general reviews about Samsung, everything they make seems to be horrible. How could that be?! We used to buy a ton of Samsung stuff -- not anymore. There are so many little, bad issues with this fridge and I see nearly 1500 complaints (a lot of them from 2015!). All I can say is -- get an LG from Costco or Home Depot -- they seemed to have the best price, haul away fee, etc.

We bought our Samsung refrigerator (#RS265TDRS/XAA) in June 2013. As soon as the warranty was out, we started having issues with the freezer and the ice bucket. The refrigerator started making noises. June 2015, our temperature sensor went bad and after wasting lots of hours online and on call we were able to get a Samsung representative to replace the bad sensor (paid $170). Dec. 2015, the temperature sensor gone bad again and after following the same process, we were told we have to pay for the labor and parts again. This is ridiculous! Why should the customer pay every 6 months for a bad repair rework? I guess they make more money on replacing bad quality parts than on selling a quality product. I canceled their service appointment and am hiring an independent repairman to do the repairs. I can at least get the work done at a good price and buy a good quality sensor (that would last more than 6 months). There is no reliability that Samsung offers to their customers after the product is sold. Reading all the other reviews, looks like these problems are just a beginning. The only Samsung products that we have are refrigerator and phones. We have had issues with our Samsung phones, but with this experience we promised ourselves not to purchase any Samsung merchandise in the future.

They dont care about the consumer, take your money someplace else. Ive had the repair man out 3 times since I purchased this product.

Samsung Microwave Model #SMH2117S, Serial # J65B7WOD602622A - I dont have an Order Number or Receipt because this was a gift. This over the stove model was purchased on 2014, a Mothers Day Gift from my kids to me. I am retired and on a budget so they surprised me with the stove and microwave. I was able to select the items in the store, Conns, and I decided to go with Samsung, believing it would be the best buy. Well, I was wrong. Samsung microwave went dead on me last week, June 2016. I woke up at 5am to crackling sounds looming out in the quiet of the morning. I had heard the sound before but not as loud as this time. I stood around the kitchen dining area where I had followed the sound and waiting to hear it and again I heard the crackle and then it stopped. I was unsure and couldnt pinpoint it, so I went back to bed.The next day I discovered my microwave was dead, all lights off. I could smell a burnt odor as I opened the door. Came to realize that was the crackling sound. I thank God that it didnt start a fire. I contacted Samsung and of course, the microwave is out of warranty and after much of almost begging on my part, they offered to pay for the parts. The service is $80 for trip and diagnosis and $80 for labor, so Im stuck. A brand new microwave and still have to pay out of pocket for a defective appliance that now Im not sure if I can trust to run even after a repair if it can be repaired. What a disappointment. The microwave I had before was almost 18 years old and was still working properly. I just wanted new appliances. I wish Samsung would stand behind their product and make it right. There are too many dissatisfied customers.

I bought a Samsung SMH9187 microwave in November 2010 and on 9/2/12, it spontaneously beeped and showed the dreaded SE code that so many have written about. I tried to cycle it per the instructions by unplugging the unit with no result. The keypad was dead. I called Samsung service who were less than helpful. They could not find an authorized repairman anywhere nearby and I live in a major metropolitan area. After spending about 4 hours trying to find a local repair person who works on Samsung with no luck, I called Samsung again and pressed very hard for a repairmans name in my area. They finally found only one. He, fortunately, was quite helpful over the phone, but so far away that he would not do the repair. He told me that the part number is DE94-02001C and is available for about $52 at Sears Parts Direct and mentioned that anyone handy with computers could make the repair. I was about to go that route when I found these posts and tried the quick fix of holding the Stop/Clear and Start buttons together - and so far, so good. Meanwhile, I would advise anyone considering a purchase of this unit to be sure there is a Samsung repairman nearby before purchasing. The microwave is clearly not reliable based on the number of keypad failures mentioned here within the first 15-36 months. Planned obsolescence and poor service to boot.

And gas slide in convection oven ignitor switch was replaced twice in 7 month period of time. Paid lots of money for these appliances and their junk and I had to replace them. Poor products and Ill advise anyone who will listen not to buy them. I bought an extended warranty from Best Buy for 2 years and mine was finished when this happened. I have a $3000.00 5 yr old fridge. Every month, it starts getting extremely loud & we have to unplug it overnight to defrost then plug it back in again. When we called for support, they were no help so we live with the fact that we have to do this monthly to a really expensive refrigerator thats not that old. A few days ago, I was washing the largest shelf (plastic casing & tempered glass shelf) & when I rested the shelf on the counter to dry it, the glass just exploded into countless small shards of glass. I was in bare feet & cut myself trying to get out of the kitchen to get the broom. I called for the glass shelf & after getting told to call the parts dept. I was told that the glass shelf was never available on its own, the whole shelf was $155 part and discontinued so I was referred back to the original number to find out if there is a comparable part from a more current fridge that will work.I was routed to the U.S by the automated bot (I am in Canada) & after a 16min. phone call, I was told to call the same number again & make sure I was routed within Canada this time (how I was to do that, I have no idea). I called again & this time had to wait 30min. for a callback only to find out that they cant do anything except of course sell me another $3000 fridge if I wanted. I am now going to try & get someone to cut me a piece of glass to fit the shelf on my own.... Stay as far away from Samsung as possible-they need to stick to TVs-DO NOT buy an appliance from them, you will regret it!

We bought a Samsung refrigerator (model Number Rf263BEAESR/AA) at or about the 25th of November 2016. At about the two-year mark, the icemaker started having problems. It was not making ice. At first, if I chipped off the built-up ice, it would produce ice again (this was a constant battle). After a while, it stopped producing ice at all. We called Samsung, and they agreed to pay for the ice maker to be replaced, but not the service. I want to thank you for that! You (Samsung) did not tell us that the icemaker had been having problems across the board, nor did you mention the icemakers class-action suit. If Samsung knew that the ice maker was faulty, why didnt they pay for the service call in addition to replacing the icemaker?A little while ago, the refrigerator stopped working, pools of water running out of the fridge, and would not cool. The Freezer still works, though. Full disclosure we have had this refrigerator for about 3.75 years. Samsung said they would have a repairman come out. They could not reach a Samsung qualified repair specialist. When contact was made, we were informed that they would not make a service call to our house, too busy. Samsung encouraged us to find a maintenance specialist, and if the motor or the compressor were faulty, they would cover it.We contacted a local maintenance specialist who could work on Samsung refrigerators. He informed us he could fix it but that he was not going to guarantee the work. He also stated that chances are we would have to repair it soon after. Today we were forced to buy a new refrigerator. Samsung has had significant issues with their refrigerators. ** I would not buy a fridge made by Samsung.

Fridge purchased less than 2 years ago is not cooling. We have the problem for two weeks already. The food gets bad. The upper part of the fridge does not cool. We call Samsung several times. First, a representative was trying to repair it while on the phone. One of those, Mr. **, with very bad attitude. So, we turn off the circuit breaker for 30 seconds, then again for a minute but nothing. After another call, Samsung gave me a repair case number and said someone will call me. Waiting a few days, no one called but Cristina ** sent an email 3 days later to tell me I have to call to schedule the repair. Her office was closed at the time I read it, so I called the next day and left 4 messages. It seems she called in the afternoon and talked to my son who has a disability. My son didnt know much about what was going on, so Cristina decided to cancelled the ticket. I called her the next day to ask her why it was cancelled after I left so many messages but she didnt care, and told me to call Samsung to get another repair case number. This means to wait again a few more days. Now Cristina refuses to do the repair saying that I was rude, yes I was very upset, and Samsung does not have any other company to do the repair. So, Samsung wont do anything even though this fridge is still under warranty.

I have been trying to receive my refund for my dishwasher for over 2months now (soon to be 3months). Im really fed up with all the back and forth emails and phone calls and wasted time! Im so disappointed in the terrible customer service we have received!!!! When I agreed on a price of 882.00, I then patiently waited for my refund check to arrive in the mail.. After waiting and waiting.. I then called to check the status of my refund to be told someone made a mistake and the refund amount would be a lot lower (in the 600s). I cant remember the amount that was offered. I willing agreed to take the lose and wait again for another refund check that would never arrive! Then my husband got fed up with the run around/playing games. Called to check the status of the refund after several days of no response to be told that our offer had been lowered even more and was waiting approval! I dont know how many times a refund needs approval and crossed checked before an actual refund is made, but.... Im beginning to think I will not receive my refund and that I was lied to once again! After being such a loyal customer who buys nothing but Samsung products...I find this to be slap in the face and will never, ever by another Samsung product again in my life. I just want what was promised to me!!! Please let me know when the money will be deposited to my account! And.. After waiting a long, I would like the full amount of the 882.00 that was offered to me! One dissatisfied customer!

One night while sleeping, the smoke detector went off. A towel lying on the range had caught fire and flames were everywhere. Trying to get the towel into the sink so my house didnt burn, I knocked a bottle off the counter that shattered the glass on the oven door. A technician for Samsung came to assess damage. He suggested I contact Samsung customer service. After multiple calls, I contacted them through their chat line. I was assured the situation would be taken care of, the existing ticket was escalated, and I was to be sent transcript of call. No transcript, nothing taken care of because product was not defective. The design certainly is defective and this product is not safe. Samsung is irresponsible. I had this stove 3 weeks.

This is a beautiful refrigerator with some handy features. I had been hesitant to buy one because of all the ice-maker problems I was reading about. I was told at the store that the 2019 models had ice-makers that were redesigned so not to worry. My refrigerator was installed almost 4 days ago. The ice-maker is working, but it makes VERY LITTLE ice at one time and takes FOREVER to make another batch. The ice is stored in a bin that is not easily accessible. Ice must be accessed primarily by using the water/ice feature on the front of the door. There is no bin one can reach into. Part of the ice-maker must be pulled out of the refrigerator in order to reach your hand in to empty all ice. I heave read reviews from various consumers debating the ice volume issue. I had read that many thought the ice production was fine. IT IS NOT. If you enjoy ice in your drinks, you would barely have enough for a family of four. Then, it takes forever for it to be replenished. I live in Texas. It is hot here more often than not. We like plenty of ice in our drinks. This refrigerator is not up to the task. In fact, I have never seen an ice bin so small or one that you couldnt reach in and get the ice easily. This was an expensive purchase. Had I known about this redesigned ice-makers limitations, I would never have bought it. I will need to routinely purchase a bag of ice to keep in the freezer at all times. Other than the ice-maker, I have no other complaints at this time.

We purchased this dishwasher in April 2015, but did not have it delivered to us until June when our kitchen was completed. The first dishwasher to arrive was damaged. Had a bent door frame so the door would not close. The company we purchased these from (PC Richards) replaced the dishwasher and a new one was sent. In December 2015 and exactly 6 months from when dishwasher was installed it is no longer cleaning the dishes or drying them. We had a tech come out and it was determined that the heating element was bad. We also showed him a broken wheel on the lower rack. Tech said he would order parts. The parts came in and the tech was here to fix the issue. However, the wrong wheels were sent. To this day we are still without the proper wheels. Also, we have had 3 service calls since the new heat element was installed and still dealing with the dishwasher not cleaning or drying the dishes. The tech made a call to Samsung and they did some tests and it showed the dishwasher is functionally normal with no issues. So here we are with a dishwasher that is only 6 months old not working!! And the service call person sounded like she couldnt give 2 craps seeing as how she told me it was her Friday. January 3, 2015 I purchased a scratch and dent Samsung french door refrigerator with ice maker in the freezer unit. It came with a 1yr. warranty from Samsung and I purchased a 5yr. warranty from Lowes. It was delivered and installed by Lowes on January 6, 2015. It started to produce ice and it produced half a gallon bag of ice and then quit. We went through the manual which gave us no direction. I turned off the ice maker so that it would not burn up. I called Samsung January 9, 2015. They walked me through the troubleshooting and told me that because the ice maker was turned off, I had to wait 48 hrs. for service. They called me back on January 12, 2015 and again a different associate walked me through the same trouble shooting process but added a twist, which was the rollers where touching the floor and therefore Lowes had to come back out and give the refrigerator a 2 inch tilt. That seems ridiculous however we jumped through the hoops. I went on live chat with Samsung January 15,2015 and again that associate was going through the same trouble shooting process. Really, does anyone do service anymore? I let him know that it is unacceptable to have a refrigerator only one week old. With full warranty and not be able to get it serviced. Very unhappy with Samsung and will never buy another appliance from them.

We purchased this Samsung Stainless Steel Model DW80F800UWS from Best Buy as a package deal along with a fridge, oven and washer/dryer. This dishwasher has been the only problem and has been defective in the first two months after our purchase. We had a drainage error code problem which a local company contracted with Samsung came out and replaced the part. After 6 months, they had to come out again and replace test another part. These both were under warranty. A third time the same sensor had gone out and they said it wasnt under warranty and that we would have to pay $350 to fix. This was almost half the price of the product. We could not afford to fix the problem and after leaving it sit for 6 months and hand washing dishes I decided to test it to see if it would work and it has ran 5 full cycles. My only guess is that the sensor has to dry out. So after every time I wash I leave the door open to air dry the unit and wait almost 24 hours before loading it up and running it. This is a pain and I know that my working unit will soon give me that dreaded error code again and Im back to hand washing dishes. Samsung definitely should have a class action lawsuit against them for knowingly having installed faulty sensors that give out immediately and making owners annoyed but happy at a free immediate repair on them until warranty expires and then we have to spend hundreds on a part that probably cost them a few bucks to make. Id also like to include that his unit has never successfully cleaned dishes. There have always been food residue along with wet dishes after the cycle has completed. I actually had a repairmen tell me that with this unit I needed to wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Also, they told me to not use tabs but to use powder so I could add twice the amount of dishwasher cleaner needed to break down food particles. I also need to run the kitchen faucet awhile before starting to get the water hot it would wash better. I, like an idiot did all of these things. Maybe if I stand on one leg and twirl around it might make it work also.

Then he gives me a confirmation no. The person tell me she wipes up her spills right away. I tell her that is not the problem, the liquid got between the edge of the glass and the plastic. She tells me I cant remove the glass to wash it. If this is the case, I am so sorry I purchased this fridge. I will make sure no one I know buys this from Samsung. The water dispenser is a continual problem with dripping water even when no one is using it. Fridge was under warranty, they fixed it no problem. New this last week 10/5/2016 the fridge will not stay cold. It stays about 52 degrees. The freezer works fine, but the fridge not so much. Tried resetting the fridge like they said, power cooled it for 24 hours and its still not cold. Called Best Buy because thats where we bought it and they are usually pretty quick to repair, they said that THIS fridge has a reported compressor issue. If the compressor is bad, it can NOT be fixed and the whole unit will have to be replaced. I have to wait until tomorrow to contact Samsung Repair. Has anyone else had this issue? I am thoroughly irritated that this is the 2nd issue for this fridge, which is just now 3 years and 2 months old. Ridiculous! For the amount of money spent on the unit, this is not acceptable.

Didnt even get 3 years out of my Samsung model DW80J3020 dishwasher that I purchased in 2016 as part of a 4 piece Samsung appliances pkg from Lowes. Ive had Samsung TVs before and really hadnt had any issues. However their supposed convection stove takes 30% longer to cook than a traditional oven, the refrigerator makes popping noises at night loud enough to wake us up, the microwave makes a thumping noise while the interior dish is rotating, and now the dishwasher has no function whatsoever--no lights, nada. I went online to research and couldnt believe the number of posts relating to the same thing. This is it for me and Samsung appliances. Theyre priced to attract a sale but, as is the adage in so many contexts: You get what you pay for.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator in July 2006 with the extended 4-year warranty. In July of 2009, it stopped cooling and I called in for a service order that took six days to repair the sensor and fuse. The repairman said these go out all the time, not a good part. On Nov. 16, 2008, it went out again for the same part and I asked for a refund. I was told, No, just repair. The tech again said parts were being updated because of repeated problems. On June 19, 2012, it went out again. I called Lowes service advantage and they referred us to Samsung since this was the third time. We went through a number of associates. They told us that we would get full credit, but we had to produce the work repair orders and fax them to Samsung. After a week without a refrigerator and spoiled food, we received and faxed the invoices to Samsung as required. At this point, another supervisor told us that we were only going to receive $647.91 back in credit and that we had to remove the serial number and cut the cord along with a picture. They would email us the information to send back. Today has been another week without an email. My husband calls Samsung and now they are saying the refund was rejected. I believe that Samsung does not stand behind its word or products. This is unfair and deceptive practices. We are filing a compliant with our Better Business Bureau, the local consumer protection office and the attorney generals office.
