We purchased a Samsung SMH9187 microwave one year ago (along with a dishwasher and fridge). Weve had the SE error. My husband fixed that by cleaning the sensors in the control panel. Then the door latch broke. He fixed that too after watching a DIY video. Now the microwave is turning itself on at random last night at 3am. Similar problems with the dishwasher and refrigerator. Wont recommend this to anyone!

Model #DW80H - Since day one it has not cleaned the dishes. Until the first service call it leaked out of the left side. That got fixed by replacing the lower wand however there was no improvement in cleaning the dishes. Fourth visit replaced the upper wand and no improvement whatsoever. Sent pictures of inside of unit after a cycle and am now waiting for a reply from a special agent from Samsung to get back to me. Will keep you posted but I think you know where this is going...

We bought a Samsung French Door Bottom Freezer Refrigerator and it started freezing up behind panel in refrigerator part. It leaks water that overflows onto kitchen floor and makes your cold grocery items freeze up in back of fridge. You will have to pay hundreds in repairs and if you need questions answered about problems be prepared to be put on hold on phone and then talk to someone from India or Pakistan that you cant understand. Samsung refrigerators are nothing but CRAP and they need to be Sued.

My fiancé and I left our home with our daughter at approximately 8 AM this morning for work. We had both spent significant time in the kitchen before leaving and the microwave (SMH9187ST) was properly functioning (displaying the time, no one had used it since the night before.) When we returned around 5:30 PM, there was an electrical smoke smell emanating in the house. My fiancé immediately followed the smell to the kitchen, where he saw our Samsung microwave was smoking and the clock was not displaying. Upon opening the microwave, we observed more smoke and the scorched insides of the microwave. The glass turn table had shattered and there was a charred hole in the rear of the interior. There was obvious scorching up the back of the unit as well as on the top. He immediately opened the cabinet above the over-the-range microwave and unplugged it. There was no one in the house during the day, except our dog and 2 cats. The unit appears to have spontaneously combusted. After researching this model, I cannot believe it has been allowed to remain in homes this long after so many reports of damage, fire, and potential disasters. We are seriously lucky our home did not burn down with our pets inside today. Our daughter turns 1 tomorrow and is usually home with the babysitter, luckily she was not home today. I dont even want to think about how badly this could have ended for me and my family.

We bought a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator three years ago. Last year, the vegetable drawers started getting water in them. We called a SEARS repairman who fixed the problem temporarily ($200), but told us the problem would return, as these refrigerators are low quality. He was right. We now have to buy a new refrigerator. Last week the handle broke off the Samsung microwave which is not quite two years old.

We have had nothing but trouble since we bought a Samsung refrigerator. French doors with refrig drawer and bottom freezer. Ice dispenser in door leaks water continuously, ice maker shaves ice no matter what setting you choose (cubed or crushed), freezer drawer does not open all the way without jerking hard on it. We had repairman come several times while it was under warranty and they never got anything fixed? They said that’s just the way they are. Really? Back of refrigerator, behind panel, freezes up all the time and I have to defrost every few months. Drawer that holds the ice freezes shut and can’t open it. This refrigerator sucks. I would NEVER buy another Samsung product ever, EVER again and certainly would not recommend you do either!!!!

We bought our refrigerator about 2 years ago from Lowes. We too were told they were good refrigerators. Within 6 months, the seal around the freezer came loose and the glass on the meat door cracked. We had to pay for the meat door but the seal was under warranty. Then we kept getting water under the meat tray and sometimes it would be a thick sheet of ice. We thought we were opening the door too much or something. Then one day it started making this loud grumbling sound, like it was going to rattle right out the door. Afraid it would get ruined we turned it off and called a repairman. He had just recently had the same problem with another customer so knew right away what the problem was.The coils, fan, and behind the whole back cover was all ice. The drain was also frozen so the water was running into the bottom of the meat drawer. He had to blow dry it to get the back cover off, then blow dry the drain and the coils. That was a month ago. Today we had to call him back. He again had to thaw out the back panel and the upper right fan had over an inch of ice around it. He said he thought the fan and coils were too far away from the heating element to efficiently thaw the ice and it just builds up. Having read these concerns of others regarding the same problems, I think Samsung has the responsibility to figure out a way to resolve this problem. We have all paid too much money on what we thought would be a quality product to only pay out more for repairmen who tells me this will be a recurring problem.

This is a follow-up on our Samsung SMH9187 microwave. The repair did in fact happen! They replaced the control panel and, so far, everything is fine. Our persistence paid off, at least this one time. We purchased our Samsung gas oven/range in 2015 and after 3 years the digital display stopped working, so we replaced it for about $100. 6 months later it stopped working again, we replaced it again. Now 3 months after replacing it, it has stopped working again. So instead of spending $200-$300 a year replacing digital motherboards we have decided to get rid of it. Samsung offered to come out and look at it, but they want $185 just for the visit and diagnosis of the oven before any parts.

We bought a stainless steel side by side refrigerator in February 2013. In less than a month, we had problems with the ice maker not making ice. They came out and did some type of repair and in another month, we had to call them again. The refrigerator is only 18 months old and should not be having problems at all (We had one that lasted 20 years). We talked to the factory rep via phone and they just basically said, Sorry, but its out of warranty. Too bad. It will be the last Samsung fridge we ever buy. In fact, we will probably junk it and buy an LG which we really do like a lot. Just not right to have unsolved problems and have to pay out of our pockets for the repair.

We bought our 1st Samsung side-by-side fridge in late-2006. Just after the 1-yr warranty expired, the twin cooling system froze in the refrigerator side. Recommended appliance repairman literally took a knife to chip ice off of the equipment. Had to call a 2nd repairman who completed it but discovered the touch screen didnt work properly (again not covered by warranty). In 2014, bought a 2nd Samsung (4-door model). Had problem with touch screen but when repairman came, couldnt duplicate problem. Of course, after warranty expired, housing for water filter started leaving debris (white substance) in the filter & ice & water stopped. Repairman said housing was a faulty design & Samsung was working to correct the design. Then he said the touch screen wasnt working either. After repeated calls to Samsung by me, the repairman & even my husband, the final conclusion from the manager was that they didnt have a record of the touch screen malfunctioning prior to warranty ending! So, like our 1st fridge (which we moved downstairs), we opted not to repair the touchscreen but did pay to replace the housing. This week I had repairman out for both fridges with identical problems as before. When filter housing was changed out in Sept-2015, it had not been redesigned. So... now $325 cost to repair housing & at least have confirmation it will be with redesigned part. Still leaving compromised touchscreen untouched. Cost to replace damaged parts on downstairs fridge = $505!Now if I wasnt smart enough to learn my lesson, when our washer went out we read consumer reports that highly recommended the Samsung appliances. Purchased them, immediately had problems - fought with Samsung for weeks and finally went to Lowes to let them know that their reputation was at stake because they sell Samsung products. Lowes went above and beyond and graciously took care of my problems with my dryer. Since that time I have received a recall about the problem with the washer. Sorry for this long. Review but Ive had more experience than I would like with Samsung and I do not believe in the quality nor their integrity. My advice to you - dont buy Samsung!

After 1.5 years from purchasing my Samsung refrigerator the coils started frosting over which caused both icemakers to stop producing ice. I defrosted it several times by removing the freezer interior panel and using a blow dryer to melt the ice. I did some research and all I found were hopeless complaints online. I started thinking the fridge was no good. I did some troubleshooting and replaced the thermistor and defrost thermostat located in the freezer behind the panel. Thank God it worked! Hope this can help someone.

If you are thinking about buying a Samsung refrigerator dont. This is the worse product ever and I regret buying it. I purchased the product in 2013 from Lowes, they were having a sale so I purchased the refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher. I have not had any problems with the stove but the dishwasher and refrigerator is a whole new ball game. First, there are the filters (which are not cheap) you have to buy every six months to a year for the refrigerator depending on how much you use the water dispenser. Secondly, the ice maker just one day stop making ice and this has been going on for about a year as I refuse to pay almost $500 to a repairman, that the Samsung customer service (who was rude) recommended, for a new ice maker for a refrigerator that I havent had for that long. I can purchase another refrigerator for that price (I mean its only been 3 years. My GE appliances lasted 10 years before I had problems with them). We even had a local repairman come out to take a look at it and he wouldnt touch it because he said that they are too difficult to work on and he also said that he has had several calls about Samsung refrigerators for one thing or another and that only a trained Samsung repair person would be able to fix it but they want too much money. And then there is the dishwasher that seem to always feel wet on the inside even when not in use and it has a smell that I cant describe. I am so disappointed in this product. The biggest regret of my life. So I am warning you Samsung may be good in the cell phone business but their appliances SUCK!!!! I should have just stuck with GE.

In November of 2015 we purchased a Samsung refrigerator French door BLK SS unit model number RF263BEAESG. In June of 2017 we started having trouble with the ice maker not working, and frosting up. On June 30th 2017 I contacted Samsung and they put a online service request ticket in for me. They told me I would be notified within 3 business days of when someone could come and repair the refrigerator. On July 10th I received another email from Samsung support and it said that my ticket had been cancelled the email read as follows your repair for service ticket has been cancelled. If you need service please contact us and it gave the phone number 1 800 Samsung. Thank you for your cooperation. Since then I tried to find someone in the local area that could come out and look at and or repair the unit. After several phone calls I was able to find someone that works on Samsung appliances. On July 18th a service tech came to my house and told me I had three issues the ice maker was going bad the fan in the freezer was going bad and at this point it was making a horrendous noise and then the fan in the refrigerator in the back that whole unit needed to be replaced. The total cost for these repairs are going to be about $800. At this point I have a really tough decision to make do I dump an additional $800 into this refrigerator and hope that it lasts, or do I bite the bullet and buy another refrigerator from a different manufacturer. I have responded to the emails from Samsung support I have gotten no further response from them. I do intend to let them know what is wrong with the refrigerator and what it is going to cost to repair it. While I understand it is out of warranty, it is not even 2 years old yet and should not be having these major issues.I will never buy another Samsung Appliance and I would never recommend to anyone that I know to buy one whether they are family friend or Foe. This has been such a disappointing experience for me. I can only hope that some attorney somewhere reads all of these complaints and puts together a class action lawsuit against Samsung. Someone needs to hold them accountable for making a product of such poor quality. People buy for the Samsung name because their Electronics have always been number one in the market. Their total lack of customer support has me wondering if I should even keep my Samsung smartphone. I find it hard to support a company that will not support its customers.

I bought the 4-door RF4287HABP. Initially thrilled with it. After about 3 days, my wife noticed her wine (kept indoor) wasnt as cold as in our old dead LG. I tried about 4-5 different thermometers all with nearly identical readings of approx. 40 degrees in lower door. I contacted Samsung and was told as long as temp fits in their 34 - 46 degree range there is no problem? I said that means I should be able to set it between 34 and 40 degrees. No, I was told. I stated milk needs to be at a max 40 degrees and this is what the gallon door storage is alluded to in their advertising. Then I asked for a sup thinking she was new. I was told the same thing and that my 4 thermometers were most likely off (not considering the whole issue started w/ luke warm wine). They said I needed to use a Samsung thermometer to be sure of results. I asked where I could get a Samsung thermometer. She said Samsung doesnt make thermometers? Triple wow! Well, that was enough of their customer service for me. Back that one went for a good old made in U.S.A. GE.

I purchased a new Samsung refrig 267 that has had a few service issues. The ice maker is very noisy and does not work smoothly, but the largest issue is the cooling system that leaks water and freezes under the cool pantry drawer. I had an authorized service agent come to fix the problem, but after an hour and a service charge, he said it was not repairable. Samsung will not stand behind the product and would not help in any way. Due the fact that they have thousands of unhappy product owners, I would hope that they would take responsibility and own up, even if it takes replacing the product at no charge. I understand the later models have new technology that eliminates the problem that thousands of current owners are stuck with.

So our Samsung refrigerator that we bought for about $3500 stopped working entirely three weeks after the five year warranty expired. We called them up and told them they should fix it since its like a car thats completely worthless a couple of weeks after the warranty expires. Nobody would ever buy such a car. So they sold us an extended warranty for $345. After sending four different firms out over a month, they concluded that its not worth fixing. So now they decided to refund our $345. To which I said theyre just running a scam. If Samsung sells us the warranty but has no intention to honor it anytime the repair is expensive, what theyre saying it will only sell you warranty if the warranty repairs are less than what you paid us. Otherwise well just borrow your money for free until we give it back. Sounds like its a total fraud. Please contact me if you have purchased a warranty from Samsung and are interested in participating in a class action lawsuit.

We recently purchased all new appliances for our new home. The three door counter depth model was delivered & installed by our dealer. We quickly noticedthat the refrigerator doors were sweating. Over three days I had contact with Samsung Customer service three times and a service representative once. Total time spent telling my story over and over again to people I had difficulty understanding amounted to about 2 hours. I finally became so angry that nothing was being accomplished that I told the lady I was going to hang up and let her figure out what was happening to my service request & call me back...and, if I did not hear back from her in a reasonable time period I was going to return this abomination. I did not hear from her.I have contacted my dealer and am returning this and will NEVER again purchase a Samsung product. Bought a Samsung oven range at Lowes with a rating of 5 stars and had it delivered (I thought it was an extremely great deal at 100 or so dollars below cost). Do not know who is doing the rating? After delivery I followed the directions precisely as my old stove was extremely old and conventional. I turned on the oven as directed and immediately noticed the continual clicking. Like I stated, my old stove was way outdated and thought maybe this was some sort of break in issue. Then the smell was horrible (HORRIBLE). I then opened every window and door and turned on the central air (it was off due to the weather being about 70 or so degrees outside) and put my dogs outside. I did this for hours, about 5 approximately. I then did not feel comfortable cooking with it but went ahead anyways. I put in a pan of buffalo wings. After the cook time I pulled them out and had no intention of eating them due to the ongoing smell, but found them burnt on top and undercooked underneath. I then decided to make a rice dish and turned the left burner on. It got extremely hot and within a minute. I was impressed honestly until I then turned the burner down to 2 to simmer. It stayed extremely hot!!! Glowing red! I then shut the burner off but the surface heat light stayed on and heat was still radiating for at least a half hour after. At this point I was scared of the stove!!! It was no longer clicking but was very hot and lights were still on although all burners had been off for at least 30 minutes. I decided to open the oven door and brought in a box fan and pointed it towards the open door and turned my Air Conditioning down to 68 degrees. I did not even dare to pull the stove out and unplug it as it was still so hot!!! Oven and stove were radiating, and heat surface lights were on although all units were turned off. After an hour or two (left the room) I came back to find the lights off and it still very warm but off. I then called Samsung and never got through! Called Lowes but it was after hours and no results. Now, I then had a family emergency and death in the family. I then tried cooking on the range Friday (got the range on Sunday remember). Long story short I got the same results and saw the 17 pages of Consumer Affairs issues, so I decided to document my issues and take still photos and video. After all this Lowes (my local store) did not hesitate to offer me a replacement stove. I had no problem with that and it was very fair although they would not pull the range from the floor and I demanded they do so! I insisted it was an extreme fire hazard and they did not disagree but did not comply either, so I called corporate. They did not agree either so I told them I would be filing a grievance and possible suit as well as calling the local investigative reporter. It is now a day later and have not been to the store. Again, tired from all this and my family emergency and death. I can only hope these ranges are no longer being sold. I also took still photos and video of the range burning for at least 40 minutes and heat warning lights on without any stove or oven turned on. YES I REPEAT.... THE RANGE WAS BURNING FULLY HOT WITHOUT ANY FEATURE TURNED ON!!! THAT WAS FOR OVER 40 MINUTES! PHOTOS AND VIDEO OF MY RANGE FULLY BURNING WHILE TURNED OFF. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG RANGE!!!

Just under 3 years ago I purchased an electric range for my elderly parents. The broiler heating element literally exploded in my 79 year old mothers face when she had the oven door open. After much research we discovered Samsung no longer manufactures the part needed to repair the unit. Before Samsung customer service would even discuss how to make this right they required us to have their preferred repair technician come out for a service call - at a $90 fee. We are still waiting to see how Samsung will compensate us but regardless we had to go purchase a new range so my parents can cook. Another bad thing is my entire kitchen has Samsung appliances and almost the identical range that uses the same broiler element. My kitchen is a ticking time bomb. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance. Discontinuing parts is terrible customer service.

In 2010 I purchased five Samsung appliances with a five-year extended warranty. Shortly after the first year every one of the appliances had issues. I emailed Samsung and they did not even have the courtesy to reply. The stove had so many replacement parts, it was practically a rebuilt and finally deemed a lemon by Samsung. The dishwasher never cleaned well from the start despite following all the guidelines, had major parts replaced and finally stopped working all together. It was deemed a lemon and replaced. The fridge had water pooling in and under a crisper. That problem was fixed after three service calls and now it is doing the same thing. The washer stopped dispensing hot water and had major parts replaced. The dryer element burned out right after one year and then the door started having trouble staying closed. The dryer was less than three years old and Samsung could not supply a replacement door. The dishwasher was finally replaced with a new one and is nowhere near the quality of the first model. It will be a year old in June and is already having cleaning issues. The stove and dryer were three years old on an extended warranty when Samsung offered a buy out. I assumed that meant they would be paying enough money to replace the appliances. After all, the warranty states they would fix or replace defective appliances. That was not the case. The buyout fell short of actually being able to replace the same items. Dont fall for that song and dance. I thought I was buying a good name and good quality with Samsung. I was not.

Freezing In Vegetable Bins. As much as I researched this refrigerator, unfortunately, no information was given on this problem. Please publish my experience so another consumer avoids purchasing a Samsung refrigerator. At the present time, I am having the same problem for the 2nd time. Thank God I bought the extended warranty, which I recommend on any appliance in todays world. The first time I experienced this problem, was 13 months after purchasing this Samsung French Door refrigerator. My extended warranty was used because I just missed the 1 yr. warranty that Samsung gives. The problem is: Water and Freezing in the vegetable bins, which is a design error. The repair technician unplugged the drain, which was frozen, cleared ice and flushed drain and added heatprobe. Now 10 months later, the same problem has occurred. It is obvious, that repair number 1 was a temporary fix, like a band-aid. I called Samsung to find out if this refrigerator has been recalled, and I have been told NO. During this mornings call to the extended warranty company, I was told from the customer service person, that she receives calls all the time for Samsung Refrigerators. I am so fed up with Samsung. I plan to avoid all their products. In the meantime, I have a refrigerator that is going to need constant repairs to the vegetable bins. I am covered with a 5 yr. full warranty and a 10 yr. compressor warranty, and most likely, will ditch this Samsung Refrigerator once the full warranty expires.

We purchased a home and went all out and spent over $5,000 for all new stainless appliances package in our kitchen and spent $3,600 on a new washer and dryer. After $8,600 in bills and Within 3 years our fridge won’t make ice anymore. Our dishwasher gets stuck on the delicate cycle, our stove heating element went out, and finally our front load washer leaks and will not take all the detergent or softener down when it runs. I will never and repeat will never, ever buy a Samsung product again. Not a TV, phone, appliance or anything. Samsung USE to be a good brand. But like most brands that cannot keep the quality up with its production Samsung’s best days are behind them. I would sell your stock if you have it. What a garbage company.

I got a call from my wife at work and reported serious issue with the 3-year-old microwave (Samsung Model 9781B Microwave). She said it smelled like smoldering plastic and from the other reviews, this microwave is a piece of junk and should be recalled by Samsung. I will purchase a different brand, because I do not want to take a chance of endangering my family with this junk. This is my second Samsung appliance - first and last!

First, when using the center burner/griddle (that was provided with the stove) I am not able to place pans on the other burners. Secondly the Air Fryer is a great feature, perfect for making Buffalo wings without oil, however since the oven is so large it takes longer than a stand alone air fryer. I do love the size of the oven. I can bake a huge Turkey with plenty of room to slide in some large baking potatoes. This stove is a replacement for an electric stove. So happy with our choice. I can regulate cooking temperature on each burner with ease. No burning or over cooking with gas. Baked goods turn out fantastic. Love the ability to use either Bake or Convection Bake.

I purchased all Samsung appliances after remodeling the kitchen. I did not do my homework and purchased my appliances based on the name. Wrong thing to do. My microwave worked about 14 months and then it had the SE code. I called Samsung and they would not fix it as it was out of warranty. I had it repaired myself. The repair lasted less than 2 months when the microwave quit and the SE code appeared again. So I have used for the past 3 years a reliable counter top microwave while I have the Samsung microwave over the oven and it does not work. Sad. I also purchased the refrigerator, side by side with ice and water in the door. The refrigerator just like the microwave started making this awful noise. It over freezes things no matter the setting. The ice maker quit, and again Warranty so Samsung says its my problem. I thought this was a quality company with quality merchandise. Please read the reviews and do not purchase Samsung. I could kick myself for not purchasing Kenmore. That was what we replaced when we remodeled. Our Kenmore Side by Side Refrigerator was almost 30 years old and still worked. Never had a problem with it. My sister took it for herself after we replaced it with the Samsung and three years later it is still running great. I am very upset and totally dissatisfied with my Samsung purchases.

We purchased our Samsung Refrigerator Model RF23HCED on April 14, 2014. First problem was that the ice maker room kept getting a lot of frost on it ceiling. My husband would periodically check and service it by steaming off the frost (as recommended in the Samsung Service Bulletin. Then on Oct 2017 the fan, behind the refrigerator wall began to make a lot of noise. Luckily we had purchased a 5 year extended warranty from Home Depot (strange that one was not offered to us by Samsung). The repairman sent by Asurion arrived, 10 days later, and removed the back wall and stated that the problem was Samsung poor design. Samsung had placed the SENSOR in the wrong place. He said that he would fix the problem and he did, it lasted for a year and a half.Fast forward to June 2019 and the fan starts making the same noise and the refrigerator temp starts rising. So my husband takes the refrigerator apart and defrosts both the ice maker room and the coil and fan behind the back wall of the fridge. BINGO it works (well see for how long). The Samsung Service Bulletin states that when these refrigerators have this happen there are many steps to be done AND the Ice Makers are to be REPLACED! So I contact Samsung and all I get is well arrange for a serviceman to come out.We are not paying Samsung one more penny to correct their errors. Simply send us the ice maker and my husband will do the replacement. But all they do is read a script...warranty expired...repairman will be sent. When in fact they knew, well before our warranties expired, that the ice makers needed to be replaced, as well as the sensors re-located. They did not issue a recall, but waited for our warranties to expire so that they could make us, the consumers, pay for their error(s).So a poor design by Samsung does not hurt them - just us consumers, Samsung gets to charge us for sending out repairman on each and every poorly designed refrigerator, we pay for the labor and the parts - AND - we are supposed to suddenly trust them and believe that they have our best interests at heart while they rake in more money from us. Samsung should stick to TVs and phones (the non-exploding type of course). STAY OUT OF THE KITCHEN!!

Garbage. Ice maker never worked correctly. Shelves break. Door flapper broke. Freezer drawer slides blew out. Never cold enough. Freezer door handle pulled completely off. Freezer fills with 4 of ice on bottom and leaks water constantly. Ruined my floor. Threw away broken freezer sliding drawer. Always had to pull out and unplug to reset frozen electronic controls. Wasted plenty of food. Wish I had a bomber to drop it through factory roof. Just a complete waste of raw materials and food. Such junk and a waste of money. The only good thing about it is the arched front design which makes your reflective figure look better, while standing on a puddle smelling rotten food. A Samsung stove was delivered to me on 11/15/14. I had no need to use the interior of the stove for several days, when I did - on approx. 11/22/14 - I found that the oven would not heat. I reported to Samsung who sent out reps to look at it. They found that due to faulty wiring in the unit that a fire had started and burned out the inside. This could have done major damage to our home. In a quick summary, it has now been 2 months and I still do not have a replacement stove. I have had to order in and eat many meals out, including Christmas dinner which I was expected to host for 13 people. I have 3 young children and have not been able to prepare them proper meals. Samsung could care less. Their customer service is awful. They are lucky my house is still standing! The receipt attached is from Home Depot, but I have been dealing with Samsung for a replacement. Home Depot has been intervening and contact Samsung as well, trying to move the process along - to no avail. They need to replace my stove immediately and compensate me appropriately.

Purchased my Samsung electric range in January of 2015. It has been a year and a half, and the Samsung silver letters located right under the panel that contains the clock, baking settings, and so forth have peeled completely off, the white circles on top of the range that denote where to place the pan/pot are fading. I also noticed that the small black circles that indicate if it is, for example, front right or front left on the range are fading and the black lines around the knobs are fading as well. I was very excited to get this new appliance, and have tried to keep the stovetop as clean as possible. I have only used recommended cleaners for this kind of range, Needless to say, I now have permanent burn spots and I cannot get rid of them. When I clean now, I have to be extremely careful. Im afraid that the fading will continue and my range that is less than two years old will look like its 10 years old. Highly disappointed and will probably not buy a Samsung range again.

I have called Samsung 3 different times only to be told each time someone will respond per their policy within 48 hours. That was 3 weeks ago. They also said they would escalate it to their executive team and they would call back within 48 hours. This means nothing as I last heard from them 6 days ago when I called them. I built my new home in September of 2020. I purchased new appliances the Samsung hub refrigerator as well as the black stainless steel gas duo smart oven. After having and using the stove for about 11 months I notice that there were areas where the appliance was peeling. I was confused as to why stainless steel was peeling only to find out that the black stainless steel is a layer of paint. I reached out to Samsung as well as Best Buy because I did purchase the extended warranties only to be told that this was a cosmetic issue and there was nothing that they could do about it. After being told this from both parties I was devastated. I have spent 7k on these appliances and theyre starting to look like crap. It has come to my knowledge that this is a common problem and there are a ton of consumers in the same boat as me. Samsung should be ashamed of its business practices. It is obvious that the craftsmanship of their black stainless steel is not up to par. As a consumer that works hard for my money what makes you think that I would pay so much for a product that starts to peel within a year of having it. As a consumer there was no disclosure of any indication that that could/would be the case. Otherwise I would have just opted for the regular stainless steel and not the black stainless steel. It is mind-boggling that Samsung treats their consumers this way after we send our hard-earned money to only end up with defective products that they are not willing to replace.

We bought this refrigerator from LOWES in 2016 for just under $2600; we didnt know the icemaker had a problem until after the warranty expired because we didnt live in that house but for a few months of the year just before we retired. It froze up and the plastic bin cracked when we removed it from the freezer. The repairman replaced just about everything that could be replaced in the icemaker and we were charged $1170!!! Within 2 months of that expense, the thing froze up again. The repairman just left, didnt charge since we were within the 90-day period of the first repair. But he said Samsung told him they would not replace our refrigerator, they might give us a break on the price of another... What a load of rotten tomatoes!!! There should be a recall, and I should get my money back for having bought their defective product and for the expense of the repairs. The angst and inconvenience should be financially compensated for, too, but I am not holding my breath.

We bought this refrigerator new on 07/24/2011, and on 03/27/2012 while we were at home we heard water running all of a sudden. We went into the kitchen and water was flowing out of the ice maker. We quickly shut off the water to the house and then moved the unit out and turned off the water at the wall. Because we were there and heard this, we prevented $60k to $70k in water damages. Most of our downstairs flooring is wood. The refrigerator was fixed under warranty by a Samsung contracted service organization. Then again on 08/30/2013, the unit failed again. This time I woke up at 5am and heard the faint noise of water running. I immediately went down stairs and stepped into a LAKE. The entire downstairs of our home was flooded and all the flooring, walls up to 16 and cabinets that were built in were ruined. The bill for all this will definitely be well over $50k. NO one should ever buy a Samsung refrigerator with an ice maker. The new unit failed in 8 months and the Samsung repair only lasted 17 months. This is most definitely a product liability case.

The fridge never really worked well to begin with. It kept freezing the eggs and just about everything else. The ice maker stopped working within months. Microwave and dishwasher stopped working next. Every time we called Samsung maintenance to come and fix everything, it would get fixed temporarily and we would have to call again. When we called again, they would have an excuse as to why it won’t work. We did this about 4-5 times. They wouldn’t even get us a new appliance because at this point we have gone over a year without a microwave and dishwasher. Maintenance is terrible, appliances are terrible. I bought this dishwasher from LOWES along with a matching Stove, Refrigerator and Microwave because I had all white appliance and the Refrigerator went bad after ten years so, I decided I wanted all my appliances to match and stainless steel seemed to be the trend. I bought Samsung because I ran a Circuit City and all our Samsung TVs were the best. 6 months after I purchased the Samsung appliances my wife started to complain about the dishwasher saying the dishes were not getting clean and then she complained that the detergent dispenser didnt open and then it was not finishing the washing cycle. We then called LOWES and told them the problem and they said make sure its a real problem because if they call out a repair person and there is nothing wrong they would charge us.So, I decided to look online to see if I could trouble shoot the problem. I found hundreds of people with the same problem as me. One of them claimed to have a fix. Take apart the Drain cover and clean the white sensor and then put it back together. I did exactly that, and it fixed the problem... for about two months. Then I had to take it apart again and clean the sensor, solving the problem for another 2 months. This has gone on every two months for about a year now and I am beyond disgust with Samsung. So I went back to the internet to see if there might be a more permanent fix to my problem only to find hundreds more people and complaints on the same dishwasher with the same problem. Still no permanent fix to be found just lots of frustrated people like me venting about their disappointment. I cant afford to buy all new appliances only 1 1/2 years later so I will be stuck taking my dishwasher apart every two months for several years to come. However, at the very least I can complain and just maybe it will keep someone else from making the same purchase mistake.

I purchased a series of Samsung appliance just less than 2 years ago. They have all, every single one, had problems. The ice maker on the fridge has to be manually defrosted about every 3rd week. When it is working it drips water down the door making the door shelves unusable. The heat sensor on the oven was replaced once already and is now giving problems again, which requires me to pull out and unplug the unit after each time I use the oven. The dishwasher door no longer closes properly, so I have to pull it out and attach a clamp on each side to use it. In each case the problems started just as warranty expired. I have had multiple service calls (at my own cost) and in no case was the problem addressed. The fixes that I have for I learned from the internet. In summary, they are clearly poorly made, the service is non existent, and generally, I plan to make it my goal in life to spread the word about how crappy these appliances are.

Within months, this thing was not working properly so of course my husband tried to fix it himself by cleaning it out really good, thinking the kids had just got food stuck at the bottom or something. Since my purchase date was July, my one year warranty was already up by the time I called. I refused to call Samsung and have them come out because when I did inquire I was told it would be 65 bucks just to come out and tell me whats wrong with it. Problems since first day... We purchased all our new appliances for our new home to be delivered Feb. 28, 2014. We are very happy with the fridge, washer, dryer. Not so happy with the over the stove microwave as it does not seem to pull in the steam at all and it goes all over the front of the cupboards and underneath as well. And steam drips down the tiled backsplash. The dishwasher is a whole other story. The young fellow brings it in and installs it. While testing it water flooded out the bottom of it. He tried several things but could not figure it out. He called his office and told them the problem and they said they would send out another dishwasher the next day. He then leaves. I go downstairs to get something from the freezer and there is water all over the floor at the bottom of the stairs. I call the store and he comes back. I asked him why he would leave when he knew there was a problem. He had forgot to connect something so he fixed it and returned the next day with another dishwasher. This is number 2... So he does all the connections and lo and behold, water comes spewing out the bottom again! He did try to conquer the problem but to no avail. He called and told the girl at the office about it and they said they would send out another one. This is all in the first week of us supposedly trying to enjoy moving into our new home. So a few days go by and along comes dishwasher number three with two fellows to install it. One does all the work while the other one just lolls around on my new engineered hardwood floor. I wanted to scream!! I was afraid by the time this was figured out I would have a whole lot of marks on the floor. They were here for over two hours and yet again it leaked. Really?? I called the appliance store and complained non-stop like a lunatic because of frustration and to get right down to it, anger. They suggested that I try to pick out a different line of dishwasher. I said I wanted the one that matched all the other appliances. Would they be willing to trade them all out? Well, of course not. So yet again along comes dishwasher number 4 with yet another installer. He installed it and did a quick test and yay! It didnt leak. The next day, water on the floor. In the meantime, I am back at work and have to arrange these visits with repairmen for before I start work at 4 in the afternoon. So, I call the appliance store and rant again. They make an appointment for me with one of the salespeople at a different location. We purchased from a large retailer on 149 Street, Edmonton. They sent us to the 47 Avenue one which is a fair distance from where we live. We went in and it seemed like the salesperson felt we were being unreasonable. I asked him if this kind of product and service would make him happy and would he like it if his time was taken up with this. Long and short, he tried to get us to change to another line and we said no. So he said he would give us $200 off. Big deal. But it was better than nothing. They said they had never had this kind of problem before, so we said lucky us, being the one off. So again back to a number of visits from a serviceman. We were told that maybe our water temperature was too high and this was causing a problem. The temperature of our water was lower than what it gets to on the sanitize cycle by 35 degrees so that seems to be a load of you know what. Then he said it was this part at the front of the dishwasher so he replaced that. Still leaking. I give up and just keep putting a dishtowel under it to catch the leaks and save the hardwood floor. Three years go by (not quite) and now besides the leak it stops draining on occasion and the OE light comes on. I call another repair place that services Samsung products. The guy comes out and says that he needs to replace a part so we do that. He sets up a test and promptly leaves. It hits the rinse cycle and water comes spewing out the bottom again but it did drain. Call them back and have to wait a couple of weeks and he comes out and did something to it and said if there were any problems to call them after Christmas because they would now be closed until after the New Year. Yay!! The third visit he comes out to repair it and now the stupid thing will not do anything. It will not fill even at the beginning to start the leaking process or the OE light to come on, just sits there. I do feel for him as he seems to be a very nice man but now he is waiting to hear back from the Samsung technical help desk to get back to him with some things to try. He tried to replace the circuit panel, but the new one did the same thing as the old. He got out some manual and tried to do some troubleshooting and nothing happened. He checked the pump but that was ok. He checked the overflow sensors and they were fine. Before he came out for the third time I ran it through five cycles. On the normal cycle it did what it was supposed to do and no leaking. Same with the Heavy cycle and Delicate. Did the Quick cycle and it leaked but it did empty. On the Pots and Pans the OE light came on and it did not drain and it leaked. After he tried all he could think to try on the last (third) visit it wont do anything but the lights do come on, just no action. I thought I could just go back to putting the towel on the floor and maybe have to try draining it manually or with some luck maybe it would work when I held down the drain button (sometimes it did and sometimes, no). So here we are with the mother of all dishwashers that looks nice but is totally useless. And I get the distinct pleasure of washing dishes. I dont mind doing that when I feel like it but not all the time because I have to. We will wait now to see if Samsung tech came up with anything for our poor repairman. If not we will ask for our money back on the repair that was useless and go buy a dishwasher from a reputable appliance store from reputable salesperson after doing a lot of research to find out what one would be the most... reputable and reliable. Because we know now for sure that it is not Samsung and we did not care for the service from the place we purchased from originally.

I have read all of these current complaints and issues with Samsung Refrigerators, I feel bad for all of these consumers. There is something you can do to get somewhat reimbursed. I can say I purchased the 3 year warranty and was glad. After 15 months the Refrigerator froze and stopped the cooling fan. Took 11 days to get parts to have it repaired. Then after the first repair a second incident occurred when the freezing happened under the meat department drawer a week after it was fixed. Had to have a tech come out a second time. Finally they sent me a refund for the purchase price of the refrigerator. That was Asurion did, they were the warranty plan from the Home Depot. If you have a food loss issue you are eligible for up to $300 refund for each occurrence. This did happen twice. It froze and wasted my wifes Insulin 2 times. I was not reimbursed the full amount but I received 2 checks for $300 a piece after filling out the one page application for Food Loss and Medication reimbursement and sending in the repair receipt. Also I did file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against the Home Depot and Home Depot came through and sent me a $500 gift card for the difference for the loss of the medication and the cost of me buying another refrigerator while I was waiting on this one to be repaired.I also filed a complaint with the BBB against Samsung and twice someone from the Office of the President from Samsung called me and said there was nothing that could be done. So whatever, they need a national recall on their products especially the black stainless refrigerators. So with a little perseverance you can get some remedy out of this bad situation. The Better Business Bureau complaint against the Home Depot really helped and the Home Depot Asurion extended warranty plan really helped also. Complaining to Samsung was useless but now the Complaint is in there and the more in there hopefully will help someone else not make this bad decision of a Samsung Refrigerator.

We purchased this dishwasher ( DMR 77) 4.5 years ago from Leons when we renovated out kitchen. After 6 months the heater went but it was still under warranty. Last week the circuit board died! Our appliance technician informed us it was kaput! Really!! After 4.5 years! We baby our dishwasher and always ensure the dishes are well rinsed before going in and we dont abuse our appliances! My former dishwasher which is a vibrant 15 year old + non-Samsung continues to run beautifully in our neighbors kitchen! Shame on Samsung for making such a poor quality product! Now we will have to further overload out landfills with another poorly constructed appliance! In addition, at the time of our kitchen reno we did also purchase an over the stove microwave which died after 3.5 years! Luckily we did have the extended warranty so it was replaced. But during the install one of the supporting screw brackets fell straight into the microwave. We had to get creative to ensure it was well support but my poor kitchen cabinetry has taken a beating! I will never purchase Samsung again! Buyer beware!!!!

Purchased a Samsung Family Hub refrigerator and a Flex Wash washer and dryer 8 months ago. Since then have had the refrigerator ice maker freeze up about every 2 weeks. The fridge has been repaired with ice maker replaced 4 times. Now the washing machine has an error code that Samsung cannot find anyone to fix. Samsung does not offer refunds even though their appliances are junk but does offer replacements. (Oh yay) Samsung guaranteed delivery/replacement in 10 days. This is day 12 with no communication from Samsung. Many hours spent on the phone with Samsung, 4 service trips for the ice maker and now a guaranteed time frame on a replacement that did not happen. Samsung does not care about its customers and sells expensive appliances they do not support. Stay away from these and all Samsung appliances!

Samsung Microwave SMH9187B - I bought this microwave on 1/29/2011 and now get an SE error starting 4/1/2014. I have been taking the keypad off and blow drying it. It works temporarily. Steam/Heat from the stove/oven seems to set it off. Since its an over the range microwave, it should be able to tolerate some heat or steam. Sometimes the blow drying works and other times it doesnt. Makes me so mad, its just so frustrating. I have not contacted Samsung, but plan to do so today and see what they will do for me.

I spent $2200 on a Samsung Refrigerator (model RF4287HAPB). As Im reading, I see the model number doesnt matter - they are all junk. Id like to submit my experience. Today is 9/6/12. I bought my refrigerator on 9/20/11. On 8/20/12, the screen started reading an error code. I called Samsung, who sent out a repair person. The repair person stated it was from the freezer. Its irreparable because the wires where the malfunction occurred are in a non-removable part of the unit, and therefore, the code is permanently affixed. I cannot operate what temperature setting, or whether I want cubed or crushed ice.In other words, once a part goes, it affects the whole unit. My part was a freezer sensor affixed with small plastic clips (which a consumer would not know since its not easily seen). Somehow, it became dislodged and the wires were cut, thus, making the unit irreparable. My spouse is an engineer who has designed some items that most people are aware of and rely on a daily basis. I explained the design to him and his comments were that this was a highly flawed design and structure. The refrigerator is under warranty, still. I am replacing it with a better model (i.e., not Samsung). I purchased the unit at Sears and they are replacing it with the cost of a new refrigerator, as to what I paid for the original unit. Im glad I purchased there since it appears that Lowes and Home Depot do not honor their customers. I can purchase another brand and not Samsung. I wish I had done my homework before I made this purchase. Additionally, Id like to add, there is no way to effectively clean the shelves and side doors since it has a multitude of parts and they do not come apart. So, it allows bacterial growth from water and spills. I have kept this refrigerator clean and I dont have that problem. But I can see how it would occur since there are cracks and crevices that water and spills can seep and there is no way to effectively dry them since its impossible to get any apparatus down there, or you risk breaking it all together.

We wanted an additional oven to supplement our regular oven; this Samsung fit the bill because it's a convection oven that can roast and even grill meats such as chicken that can sometimes be hard to cook thoroughly without the meat becoming too dry or tough. At 1.1 cu ft it might be a tight fit for Perdue Oven Stuffer chicken or anything larger, otherwise it does its job well. Our microwave is 1700 watts, more than enough for any task from soup to popcorn to roasts, and we saw that Lowe's has our oven, model MC11K7035CG, currently on sale for $299 as of July 3.

I called Sears appliance repair for an estimate with parts and labor. It would be between $590 to $700. We paid $1169.00 for our Samsung refrigerator. It should not break nor should we be out of pocket $700. Plus we lost all the food in fridge in freezer. Go to Samsung FB page. They treat consumers horrible. I have called multiple times, filed a complaint yesterday with BBB, Attorney General & CFPB. They the compressor is still under Manufacturers Factory Warranty. It has 3 of the 5 years left. There should be a Civil Suit filed against Samsung. Worst Refrigerator ever. Customer Representatives should all be fired. They are rude and lie to you. Ive tried looking online for any recalls or class action cases, and for some reason Im not having much luck. It was purchased at Home Depot, but that may not make a difference. It hurts at first to spend an extra 90.00 for a 3 year warranty but think after spending 2,000 for the darn thing! I would advise a warranty for at least 5 years. Within a few months had issues with the brand new dishwasher. First off it wouldnt latch right, so it wouldnt start. Repairman even said in the future to get a model with a latch you turn and lock yourself. It was under warranty, guy came out about four days later and fixed that. When he left and we ran a cycle, suddenly it wouldnt drain. Guy came out again a few days later, took a look and said it needed a new computer board. They mailed it to my house. Took over a week. After not being able to get the guy to the house, he missed an appointment then showed up the next day while I was at work, we put it in ourselves (Almost 3 weeks, over 2 weeks with water in the bottom of the dishwasher that even with baking soda etc, was starting to stink up the kitchen!). Worked ok for about 8 months. Now it seems like it needs another computer board because it isnt drying the dishes. Its only 18 months old!

So now the same repair people can now finish it because I had the same problem: ice forming in the freezer, but also the icemaker broke. The first repair was for a defective defrost part. So now I had to pay for an icemaker as the first time the guy broke the insulation. So now when they come back, I have to pay for a part he broke! That’s a good one! But never again will I buy any Samsung brand. I learned my lesson. This product was only one-year-old when I had problems with it. What junk!

I purchased the Samsung DMT 300 dishwasher in May, picked up the unit in June, and moved into the house in October. I spent three months trying to get service from Samsung, and then gave up in frustration. Each time we called, we wound up with someone who could only read possible solutions from a list, and gave suggestions such as pre-wash the dishes in the sink first, use high-efficiency laundry detergent, all the new high-efficient washers have this problem. We could never get to anyone who could authorize a service call, or even give us the name of the nearest authorized service company. Once the washer switched into extended warranty mode, we were given the name of a local (50 miles) service company who has offered to come and take a look, but are doubtful that they can help. I will never be buying Samsung in future and if the problem gets fixed, we will be selling it ASAP.

An appliance repairman came and said many units having the same issue and took apart the freezer back and used my hairdryer to melt the ice keeping the fan from spinning. Dried everything off and it ran well for a while until the issue returned so periodically I have to empty the freezer and heat the back, unplug the unit and hope it runs. I bought a Samsung refrigerator in February of 2007. In 2009, it froze up under the plastic wall in the back, making it impossible to close the door. I paid a repairman $200.00 to come and fix it. He put on a new thermostat, cleaned the coils, defrosted everything and put it back together. 1 year later I had to call him back because it did exactly the same thing. Another $150.00. Then in March it did it again. I called a different repairman, thinking he might be able to truly fix the issue, and he told me straight up that Samsung refrigerators have one fan for freezer and fridge. Its a bad plan, it doesnt work and you cant fix it. Lucky me. Well, it happened to me again today, so, now every 2 to 6 months I have to take my fridge apart, defrost it and put it back together. Its a great plan and Samsung is of no help at all. Too bad so sad, but I wont be buying ANYTHING Samsung again... EVER! Ive posted on FB and continue to tell all of my friends what crap they sell.

I have the bottom freezer, split door fridge model. I bought it solely because the GE Profile I had for over 10 years finally needed replacement (due to some cosmetic damage - no issues involving its functioning) and the Samsung was literally the only model that would fit into the custom space in my kitchen. Within the first months I noticed a lot of water pooling in the bottom below the crisper drawers and then in the crispers themselves. I stopped using them all together and then about a month after the 1 year mark (when the warranty ran out), the left door stopped closing appropriately. In fact, the only way to close it is to manually manipulate the fold and then close the opposite door. I finally got a service appointment, took a day off from work to wait and was told that the part has to be ordered and it will cost me $320!!! What an absolute piece of garbage.

My fridge went out on our wedding day (Nov. 2, 2013). It took until Dec 12, 2013 for repairs to be done waiting on part from Samsung. Four and a half weeks later, the fridge went into demo mode again and wouldnt come out of it. Now I am waiting until March 6, 2014 to get repairs done. I understand some of this is because of the scheduling of the extended warranty I bought from the store. I have lost over $900 worth of food and only $400 is being replaced. I have taken off work 4 days now for them to come and look at my fridge or to try and repair it. I contacted Samsung about this and because I didnt purchase the warranty through them and they only offer a year warranty through them when you buy it they wont do anything about all this. A fridge that is less than 2 years old and Samsung doesnt stand behind their product because the extended warranty wasnt bought through them. I wont buy another Samsung product again. Their Customer Service treated me like I was an idiot to boot because they kept repeating the same thing even though I asked why they wouldnt stand behind their product for more than one year and why their product didnt last more than two years. Last year, I bought an expensive top-of-the-line Samsung dishwasher. I thought this would be the best dishwasher I ever had. Boy, was I wrong. When my 15-year-old Sears Kenmore dishwasher died, it was doing a better job on dishes than this brand new $1000+ dishwasher. If I dont wash my dishes before I put them in, I have to wash them when I take them out. And they are never dry when they come out. I always have to dry them. My floor around my dishwasher is always wet because the dishes drip water when I take them out. And if I put 5 glasses in the top, 4 of the glasses have debris inside them when I take them out. On February 4, 2017 we visited P.C. Richard and Son and we replaced all of our kitchen appliances with brand new Samsung appliances. In July while I was cleaning the glass cooktop on the range, which we purchased for $800, I noticed it was cracked. The crack appears to have started on the Rapid Boil burner and extended in all four directions to the edges of the top. I immediately contacted Samsung support, fully expecting that the damage would be repaired as the range was under warranty. With just two of us in the home, the range is lightly used and well cared for.The customer service agent asked that I send in pictures which I did that afternoon. I received a call from Samsung support looking for the photographs 3 days later – at that point I was told that the pictures would be reviewed and that they would get back to me. Three days later, I received a call from Williston TV and Radio Repair to arrange a time to come out to look at the stove. I expected that Samsung’s agent would be coming to repair the stove, however, when the representative arrived he took more pictures and told me to expect to hear back from Samsung in a few days.A few days went by and I was contacted by Williston and told that Samsung deemed the damage to be physical and as a result would not be covered under the warranty. I asked what the definition of physical damage entailed, and the definition I was provided was basically everything under the sun – cleaning solutions, inappropriate cookware, abuse, etc. In fact it seems that the definition is setup to protect Samsung even in the event of defect.Still in shock, I started to research to see if others experienced the same issue and I was surprised to find many complaints posted to sites online all had a similar story. I’ve attached some of the complaints along with our receipt to this letter. After finding that other consumers had a similar experience, I contacted Samsung to ask for a second opinion, I was told that would not possible so I asked to speak to a supervisor who told me that he would put in a work order for another opinion.Three days later I received a call back from Williston to setup a repair call – I explained that I was looking for a second opinion and was told by the representative that they were the only local Samsung agent and there would be no second opinions. Exasperated I inquired as to the cost to repair the cooktop thinking that a couple of hundred dollars out of pocket would be worth putting an end to this issue. I was informed that the cost to repair the range would be $400 - which is half the cost of range. Even if I pay for the repair, I have no guarantee that the replacement top would not have the same problem because I am convinced that product is defective. My husband and I have used glass cooktops since the 1980s and have never had a problem. The cookware we use has not changed, how we cook and care for the cooktop including cleaning fluids we use have not changed – and yet within 6 months this cooktop is completely ruined and is unusable and here we are in August and we can only cook using the oven and our microwave. I believe that Samsung has an obligation to stand behind its product and the warranty. I expect Samsung to fix the stove top or replace the range.

The ice maker stopped working after 2 years. The refrigerator portion turned into a cooler...after 4 years. This was a $4,000 fridge. Currently working with Samsung for a refund. After doing much research I have found there is a known defect with their refrigerator. Also learned in my research....do not buy Samsung appliances.

After having my above-the-oven microwave for two years, the plastic handle
After having my above-the-oven microwave for two years, the plastic handle broke off the screws it was attached to. After paying $45.95 for a replacement that I was told would be metal, was the same cheap plastic. Then trying to attach the new handle, you have to pry off the molding to get to the screws.

After 18 months and final payment to Best Buy for my Samsung refrigerator, my ice maker stopped working. The fridge has consistently been leaking water at the left corner of the fridge and the front panel under the ice dispenser and inside the door. Called Samsung to complain, they say its out of warranty and will not pay for the repair. Did some research and discovered there are thousands of people on the web and facebook at SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR RECALL U.S.A. NOW making the same complaints. There are also lots of people posting photos of reimbursement checks for Samsung products including my fridge but not after months of hassle. Now, Ill be joining the many that have filed complaints with the BBB of New Jersey.

The control panel stopped working, got a 5E error code. Went online to check for recalls. YouTube showed detail of how to fix it but it didnt work. I called Samsung they did acknowledge the problem and sent out a service repair man who replaced the whole panel free of charge. It was purchased in 2011, repaired in 12/14. Now the hook clasp spring inside the door has stopped working. I see on this site some people have had the same problem. Is this part on recall too? The microwave works if you push the door closed the whole time cooking. Any suggestions?

We purchased our refrigerator in August 2014 and then it started rusting on the outside. I called and of course still under warranty but I was told the warranty didnt cover cosmetic problems. Then the refrigerator started making a lot of loud noises. I called and they sent out a service person who clearly stated this was due to poor manufacturing. He packed an oversized opening in the rear of the inside. Less than 30 days the same thing except the warranty was expired. Piece of junk.

Purchased a Samsung Dishwasher around November, just installed 2 weeks ago
Purchased a Samsung Dishwasher around November, just installed 2 weeks ago in my remodeled kitchen. It has quit. Samsung has been of no help whatsoever except tell me that I need to call the repair people they have coming out to fix it. I called the repair people since I had not heard from them about when it would be repaired after 2 days of waiting. They inform me that they will be out on 4/29 to fix it. Mind you it was the 17th of April. They dont have anything sooner. This is ridiculous since the thing shouldnt be broke to begin with! My husband and I purchased a whole kitchen full of new Samsung appliances and one already broke. WOW! Next, I called Samsung back to see if there was a different repair company that could come out. They informed me that that is the best we can do. I became even more angry since a 2 week old dishwasher shouldnt be broke to begin with. Lowes has tried to be more helpful than Samsung by checking in to see if they could do anything. When the repair person comes out I am sure that it will be another week at least having to wait on parts. Samsung should take this piece of crap back and allow me to pick another brand. I WILL NOT purchase another Samsung product after this! They dont care. I purchased their product and am now stuck. Buyer Beware!!!

This brands french door model seems to have issues getting water in the veggie drawers and, failure of the strip on the door that is supposed to guide the left door to close properly. I would not buy Samsung again although I have little choice for the space available. High repair rate with short term ownership.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator (Model # RF4287HARS, French Door, with the Flex Zone drawer) early Sept 2013. This refrigerator costs me over $2000. After about 2 months, the refrigerator section wouldnt get cold anymore. The digital display read 34 degrees, but I knew it wasnt. After reading up on trouble shooting tips, I unplugged the fridge, waited a few minutes, plugged it back in, then it read 58 degrees. I called for service (a 4 hour window, of course). The technician said it was faulty temperature sensors. He didnt have the parts and said he would have to call it in. It may be up to 3 to 4 weeks to get the parts. I thought this was ridiculous (and it was just the beginning). I called Samsung headquarters, asked them if they would kindly replace my refrigerator with a new one, since its only about 2 months old. They said its NOT THEIR POLICY. They said if its fixable, they will get a service technician to fix it. I FLIPPED!!! I told them, I do not have the luxury to wait 3 to 4 weeks for parts to come in...... I DONT HAVE A PROPERLY WORKING REFRIGERATOR!!! Their answer..... its NOT OUR POLICY. So I ask that they transfer me to upper management. I spoke to their Executive Customer Service Relations, told them my situation and my request. Their response was, ITS NOT OUR POLICY. These are the most useless customer service department heads Ive dealt with. So I bit the bullet, waited about 2 weeks, parts came in, called for service technician again. They replaced the temperature sensors. Im thinking, Whew, Im glad thats over with. About 2 weeks later, I notice the fridge is not getting cold again. Temperature is reading 48 to 52 degrees. Called for service again, they are going to replace ice maker and heating element. I asked the service repair man, What is the root of this problem? He says he doesnt know, just that the fault indicator is telling him to replace these parts. This is where Im at right now, dont even know if this second service will solve the problem. Im infuriated at Samsung. How dare they put out a product on the market without conducting extensive tests. Do they realize what a burden they are putting on their customers? Im never buying Samsung again, EVER!!! If you work for Samsung (refrigerator designer or customer service), shame on you for all the trouble you put me through. Shame on your POLICY. If you make a faulty product and you know about it, OWN UP TO IT! The customer is always right! MAKE IT RIGHT FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS! Or pretty soon, you will have no more customers.
