I purchased a Samsung dishwasher in Jan 2014 model #DW80F600UTB/Aa - Do not buy this!!! First off it never dried the dishes then approx 6 month later it would stop in mid cycle blinking lights on panel. After a long hard researching & calling Samsung I was told the issue was the turbidity sensor, I replaced that & it worked for about 3 months. Then it started the same thing, now I am told its the main control panel.. (no I did not get extended warranty). I just got that part but unfortunately the part was bad so I have to send it back for a new one. The bottom line - do not buy this dishwasher. Its horrible. You should stick with G.E. - at least they stand behind their products.

Have 2-year-old Samsung side-by-side refrigerator. Ice maker doesnt make enough ice for 2 people. After a month or two, it dies all together. Have it repaired 4 times. Every repair lasts a month or two. I have 2 Samsungs at work - both of them have ice maker problems too. I had to buy an external ice maker and GIVE UP ON SAMSUNG making ice (the fridge is fine, no complaints with that). I would not buy a Samsung again.

I purchased model #RF25HMEDBSR in 2015. To date Ive had to have it serviced three times at a cost to me of $900. I have been waiting since July 27 for more repairs for the same issues and they cant get anyone to do my repair until Aug 27. The ice maker and cooling issues are defects that have been around since 2006. Samsungs customer service is horrible! They have been giving some refunds for their faulty refrigerators but it can take months of waiting and countless hour on the phone with them, if you can get to a human. I love the design of this unit but having to pay $900 in service fees is unacceptable. Avoid at all costs!!!

I bought an expensive Samsung refrigerator less than 4 years ago. The freezer doesnt work on the bottom. The air leaked because the seals broke after first year of having it. A repair guy came over and said thats typical of all the Samsung refrigerators. No fix - cold air was escaping - then the handles started to break and the bottom tray was always filled with water. The refrigerator started to get really hot and ice machine broke... Now the refrigerator is broke. Wont get cold... Person at Samsung was super rude. To get someone out here to repair it is $150 just to have someone see whats wrong. Its junk - they are ripping consumers off! There are hundreds of 1 stars... Why isnt anyone shutting this foreign piece of crap company down.

I bought all Samsung appl. when we built but Im having second thoughts... the refrigerator (side by side with water ice on outside) is not all worth the $$. The size gets cramped inside without a lot of shelving room and the outside ice dispenser always clogs and you stand there for minutes until the big globs of crushed ice falls out because if you dont get it out when you open the fridge door it all falls on the floor. We use the full cube but when clogged it crushes inside. The lower freezer is great... very roomy and stores more than avg. I would explore other brands.

I have a Samsung flat screen TV (46in) that stopped working as soon as the warranty was up. A Samsung washer that cost close to $900 and it works but 1 month after purchase the door lock broke, fortunately my husband is very handy and improvised a lock with Velcro tape because the service people would charge us $75.00 just to come out and finally my refrigerator a side by side Samsung is now not cooling, while the freezer is working but the thing is only 18 months old. I thought that this was a competitive brand, but I wont be buying anything Samsung again. I should have stayed with Maytag and Sony.

Bought a Samsung microwave almost two years ago, and this is the second time we’ve had a major repair. Just before the warranty expired, the fan went out. It was challenging to get Samsung to agree the repair was covered and then to schedule the repair. Now the magnetron tube and couple other parts need to be replaced, parts and labor costing around $275. I’m debating whether to sink more money into this thing. When it works, it’s great, but with this record of repairs, I’m hesitant to invest more $$.

I have a Samsung RF 217 French door bottom freezer model. It is only 5 years old. 3 months ago water accumulated in the vegetable bins. The repair guy came and hair-dried the frozen water pipe. Now, the freezer has frozen-up. I called the repair guy. He just came but said he could not find a parking space so would not be available!!!!! He said he would call and come back. Well... no way. Electricians, plumbers etc find parking. This is A&E Repair for Samsung. Really bad Samsung so I will not buy anything Samsung. I am trashing this piece of junk and ordering a new fridge.

I bought my Samsung Dishwasher in 2011. When we had owned it only 13 months (only used 7 months as I stored it until kitchen renovation was complete) my Samsung dishwasher DMT800 broke down the first time. Had to wait a week before I could get anyone to work on it. The plastic tabs on the top rack had broken and fallen into the bottom and the washer arm would not spin. Technician ordered new brackets and installed them, cost $200. Same thing happened with new plastic part. I had my husband take the whole thing apart and clear out the brackets the next time. Now the top arm of the dishwasher will not work nor will the detergent dispenser dump the detergent. Loved my old KitchenAid dishwasher. It was still working perfectly when I gave it away to install matching Samsung appliances. Will never buy Samsung again. Hope you see this before you buy Samsung. Beware.

We purchased a French Door Samsung Refrigerator - model number RF4287HARS/XAA 2.5 years ago. We paid nearly $3000 for it at Best Buy. A little over two weeks ago the ice maker went out and soon to follow was the freezer and fridge. We called Samsung and after three phone calls of escalation they finally agreed to cover the diagnostic as an accommodation since we did not purchase the extended warranty. The repair guy has been here twice and has finally deemed it as non repairable. Each visit was over two hours and most of the time was spent with him on the phone with Samsung tech support. They replaced the CFAN and the main PCB but it still will not work. The repair company has sent 11 pictures to Samsung showing the error codes still coming up despite the repairs. Samsung is giving us the run around saying that they want the repair company to come back out. Not only are we out a very expensive appliance, $100s of food plus having to eat out mostly, we have lost countless hours on the phone back and forth as well as waiting on the repair guy. At what point does a company stand behind their product and actually take care of their customers? Samsung should be ashamed.

Our Samsung French Door refrigerator keeps icing up under the back panel. It started happening after the four-year warranty was out. We have had it fixed repeatedly during the last year at $100 minimum each time only for the problem to return within a month. Now it is every two weeks. I have learned what to look for, what sounds to listen for and to take the back panel off to defrost it myself. Granted it is 8 years old but as much as it cost it should have lasted much longer. The repairman cannot fix it so we cant even sell it.

I purchased it new 12/08, Model RB215LABP, from Lowes. We had problems with the unit maintaining temperature in both the refrigerator & freezer. It was apparently stemming from power surges. I cant remember the first time I contacted Samsung, but I was told to unplug the unit and wait 5 minutes. This happened on several occasions, with food spoilage occurring in several of the instances. On 11/23/2011, a power surge blew out a relay switch which cost $272 to replace. On April 26, 2012 a power surge knocked out the unit again. I contacted Samsung and I was referred to the Executive Complaint Dept. I have not returned their calls (2) yet. I want to consult with the law firm handling the class action lawsuit first.

The ice maker stopped working within a few days after owning the refrigerator. It freezes up requiring the ice maker to be removed and thawed out. This has to be a common problem with this refrigerator as it works for a few days then the problem repeats. I would not recommend buying any item from Samsung as I think they are just interested in ripping people off and not standing by their products. They got caught with the cell phones but appliances are harder to claim damages even if the damages are clear design problems.

Repair guy came and said it was going to cost 900 something dollars to get it fixed. I paid 2 grand for the fridge and its less than 2 years old. This seems ridiculous and unfair. When I called Samsungs 1-800 number the lady kept telling me it was out of warranty after a year, she kept telling me that they created a kit to fix it which lets me know that its had a problem and they know it but I have to pay for it. When I told them that I have a Frigidaire sitting on my back porch thats rusted but still working and it doesnt have a warranty she said, Yes maam I understand your frustration but apparently theres nothing I can do about it. Its out of warranty. I asked her to quit saying that if I could speak to a manager and she said, A manager cant help you either. Thats all we can do. Nobody can override authority to help you.

Purchased a Samsung refrigerator 4 and a half years ago. Ice freezes up on the back panel causing the fan to hit ice, making a lot of noise. Samsung sent someone out several times. The technicians used my hair dryer to melt ice then left. After several visits, I asked Samsung to replace my refrigerator which had an obvious problem. They did give me one more free repair. After that was used, I had to pay out of my pocket. I did BUY an extended warranty thru the repair company. The refrigerator is freezing up again and the technicians can not come out for two weeks. When purchased my new kitchen for my wife 3 years ago, we were big fans of Samsung. The fridge was beautiful. We got it from Best Buy along with the Flex Duo range in SS to upgrade from our old black appliances (Kenmore, French door). We had warranties on everything and thought wed be safe. Never expected to use it as much as we did. Two times in three years of ownership and then being disabled vets, I was tending to my wife in the hospital and missed the warranty expiration date by one day and Best Buy refused to restart it. Probably because of all the problems they were having with the fridge. Now Im left trying to keep this fridge going as best I can. Sadly the old Kenmore that has been running for all the time that Ive had my new Samsung is still running problem free in my garage! Samsung should either step up their game or stick to televisions. Youve never seen a Whirlpool or Kenmore phone. Do what you do and do it well! Nobody has an extra $2000 laying around to fix a companys errors!

My Samsung dishwasher DMT300 was purchased in 2011. It broke. Heating sensor needs to be replaced. It costs me $245.00! I purchased this along with a Samsung refrigerator and that broke as well in less than 6 MONTHS! Samsung tech arrived and fix it. Thank God it was still under warranty! I had a Maytag dishwasher that was once repaired due to wear and tear but it lasted 12 1/2 years! I called Samsung at 1 800 726 7864 and they will not pay for anything since it is no longer under warranty. Even the repair technician advised me not to purchased Samsung appliances. We bought our Samsung from Lowe's. It was on sale and with my veteran's discount, it was a great price. We are empty nesters and the size of the fridge is perfect for us, with ample door storage. Lots of freezer space also. We love the filtered ice/water through the door options. The stainless steel is so easy to keep clean and looks really sharp. Temperature controls actually work where in some other brands we have owned they were more like idiot gages, nonfunctional. We have owned it six years now and still loving it. Only thing I would change is the location of the water filter. Put it up top so an old man like me does not have to lay down to make the change.

The old saying that he/she cant even boil water is true for anyone with this range. Samsung NE594R0ABSR, SN J0ZI7DCF801481Z. Glass cracked while boiling on Fast Boil element. Then the fun started when trying to get warranty support from Lowes extended warranty plan. They had to send out tech to take pictures to determine if damage was caused by abuse. (over a week for this) Tech confirmed not from abuse or physical damage.Nearly four weeks after the event and several phone calls I finally achieved a resolution. On the final call I waited while they first called service tech, they said waiting on parts, no idea how long. Then Lowes called Samsung to get a ship date, and could not get an answer from SAMSUNG aka SamSUCKS in my view. So we agreed to a buyout and they are sending a check, so I am out only the cost of extended warranty and delivery, feel fortunate about this part. Now for the best part! They do not want the unit back, said to just throw it away! Done with SamSUCKS forever...

In May, 2016 we purchased a Samsung Microwave Model # ME16H702SES/A... and the rest of the number is not visible due to the fire which burned off the serial number and part of the model number. I suspect the fire started due to electrical arcing between the microwave housing and the door, because I had that on another model six years ago, and the arcing started while the unit was not being used. The fire started in October 2016 and we contacted Home Depot Canada, the vendor. They took the information and said someone from Samsung would be coming to look at the damage and by the middle of November 2016 no one had come. We called Home Depot again and they told us to contact Samsung Canada for help. We did so, and on December 2, 2016 we received an email from Meyson **, asking us for a copy of the store receipt and photographs of the damaged area. On December 14 I sent the photographs, also asking him to confirm the receipt of the information. He replied the same day stating he had not received the photographs, I sent them again the same day, both times I sent them, there was no negative feedback from the email system, and this indicates the emails had gone through. On December 23 I had not received a reply from Meyson ** so I emailed him again indicating the length of time it was taking to acknowledge and repair this product, and heard nothing from him.December 27, I called the Samsung Canada Specialty Group (where Meyson ** works) and he wasnt available so we described the problem to another support person, they said in order to help us they required an order number. Obviously they didnt know the difference between an order number and a ticket number. After 30-35 minutes on the phone with a few individuals, it was useless going forward. We called Home Depot again asking for the appliance rep in the store where we purchased the unit and he was on vacation. At this point there is little use in pursuing this through the Customer Support area so we will file an incident with the Better Business Bureau and the CSA Group since we have had more success with the CSA in the past than the vendor.

I bought my RSG257AARS side by side refrigerator 4 years ago. Everything was great with it until the compressor stopped working properly and all the coolant leaked. When I called an appliance repair shop they told me that Samsung only lets people who are trained by Samsung repair their fridges. She was very nice and told me where to go to find someone in our service area. Here in the DC/VA/MD area I could initially only find 3 people who would work on my fridge and it took me a week and a half to get an appointment. I lost EVERYTHING in my fridge and freezer. Then, they charged by $300.00 for a visit! Now, less than 90 days later (and the part was only good for 60-day warranty) I am having the SAME problem and now have to call a separate appliance repair place to come fix it, AGAIN! I will NEVER EVER buy another Samsung appliance in my life. The Samsung Customer Service department gives me the runaround. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG Appliance. The original fridge I had purchased had a defective water/ice dispenser. Initially the Hudsons Bay wanted to have it serviced rather than replaced, despite it being delivered in that condition. The Samsung service people didnt show up for the booked appointment. After fighting with the Hudsons Bay to replace the fridge 9 months later, after taking the complaint to The Star, through the Hudson Bay Executive Service Department arrangements were made for the fridge to be replaced. On the second Samsung fridge that was delivered, the right door on the fridge is in excess of 1/2 inch from the top of the fridge, right across the whole door and in excess of 1/2 lower, both on the top and bottom of the right door than the left door.Samsung claimed it was a leveling issue, sent me instructions on how to level it and told me to do it myself. Every individual I consulted with agreed it is impossible for it to be a leveling issue; it is a manufacturing defect. The fridge is under warranty and despite calling back and speaking with a supervisor, Samsung has not responded and will not deal with their defective product. We have had two awful experiences with Samsung. We bought our first Samsung French door fridge in 2016 and sometime while it was still under warranty I noticed the bottom of the left door was not sealing when it shut. Samsung didnt have any authorized service technicians in our area so they couldnt fix it. They told us we had to literally cut the cord and send them a picture of it so that we wouldnt be able to sell it or give it to someone else to keep using it. I told them I couldnt cut the cord as its the only fridge we have and we gotta store food somewhere. They finally gave in and paid us the value of the fridge. Which we then took and per the agreement with Samsung, we had to buy another Samsung fridge, went to an authorized Samsung dealer that said he serves our area and bought a different model: RF28JBEDBSG/AA/08. It worked great for a year or so until the warranty ran out and thats when we started having issues with the ice maker. It completely froze over, started leaking water out the hole when we tried getting ice and just completely stopped making ice. We called the dealer we had bought it from, they sent out their technicians to repair it and they like just some kids off the street who didnt have any training on such repairs. They took apart the ice maker and used a hair dryer to melt the iced over ice auger motor and ice maker assembly. While they were in the process of melting the ice inside the ice maker cabinet they heated it up too much, buckling the inside of the cabinet and melting a plastic tab up top at the back end of where the ice maker sits when its installed. So now the ice maker doesnt fit correctly. The technicians said they caulked the inside of the cabinet all the way around to seal it, but I could still see light coming through all along the left side. Couldnt really feel or see any caulk along the edge anywhere. They charged around $100 for this #repair! This only lasted for about 3-4 weeks and then started freezing up again. I called them again and they said theyd order us a replacement auger motor and ice maker for around $211. I brought it home and took apart my ice maker to replace it with the new parts they had just sold me. After all that hassle of taking it apart I find that they gave me the wrong ice maker! It was completely wrong. Way too short. I took it back and they gave me the right model ice maker. I then took apart my ice maker a second time and was able to replace it. This again only worked for a few weeks and then also started freezing over and doing what the original ice maker had done. Ever since Ive had to shut off the fridge, take the ice maker apart and thaw the whole ice maker and auger about every month and a half or two months. Ive contacted Samsung multiple times and they only tell me that its out of warranty, try to send out the same Samsung authorized shops technicians to #repair it (which I refuse to let this shop ever touch my appliances again since they screwed me over every time Ive dealt with them) or they give me a phone number to call Samsung to order parts to fix the ice maker. I am not spending any more of my own money on this piece of garbage and will never buy another Samsung refrigerator.

When our microwave broke, we were planning to replace with the same brand we had, but the Samsung was such a handsome model, we were drawn to it. The price was better than the one we had, it looked better, and once it was installed (very easy, by the way) it was quieter than the old one, and worked just as well.

Samsung dishwasher dw80k7050ug. Dishwasher smells horrible 1 day after wash. Worse when weather is warm. Only thing that works is to completely dry out the drain basket which is holding nothing but water. Odor so offensive. Make me gag. Reported to Samsung. Sent someone out. Said water in basket was normal. Not if it is stagnant. Have seen other reports of this problem. Have tried every suggestion to no avail.

In the four years, since our Samsung refrigerator (Model RF261BEAESR) went out of its ONE YEAR warranty, FOUR of the six plastic door bins have broken, dropping the contents to the floor. We were NOT loading them up with heavy contents. The plastic is/was clearly not up to the task. I have contacted Samsung customer support, and spoken with floor supervisors and managers. They are adamant that Samsung has no responsibility in this matter. BUYER BEWARE. Samsung apparently does not care about its reputation.

I purchased this oven in Sept 2016. The self cleaning settings are for 3-5 hours. When I ran it on 3 hours previously, it did not clean the oven so this time I ran it on the 5 hours. About 3 1/2 hours into the process my husband and I noticed a very strong burning smell he thought smelled electrical or insulation. The ovens electronic control panel quit and the lock remains locked. I researching troubleshooting we found this is a complaint and the repair shop said it is a common issue that they repair frequently. We have not found out the costs to repair nor do we know the condition of the inside of the oven. This oven should be recalled as we have had sore throats since. We have found the costs to repair can be between $200 and $1100.

First the reason for my review is to warn consumers about a Samsung refrigerator and I dont want them to make the same mistake that I made. If I could do it all over again, I would have kept my old refrigerator or got a different brand. I bought this mess of a refrigerator in September 2013. I bought a Samsung refrigerator for $1500.00 and a 5-year warranty with it. I am so glad I did because it’s been problems every since I had it. I had a technician come out to replace different parts on this refrigerator at least 3 times since 2013. The ice maker keeps messing up and not producing ice. If you leave the door open for at least 15 minutes then close the door, it won’t produce ice. The water freezes up and it won’t produce ice either. I hate I even bought this freakin Samsung refrigerator. After my warranty is up, I will sell it and get another refrigerator. The only reason why I am keeping it is because it is still up under warranty. I will not be able to afford for a technician to keep coming out after the warranty has expired. Damn you Samsung and the people who put this refrigerator together. If I could shove this refrigerator up their butt, I would. Please, Im begging the consumers, DONT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!

We purchased a refrigerator from Samsung in late June at Lowes. From the moment it was set up, its ice bin and chute have frosted over. I called and Samsung sent us new parts after refusing to set up a service call even though I told them the ice maker was not the problem. After the new ice maker didnt fix the problem, I called again. A service call was set up and we needed a new trap door for the ice maker/water dispenser. That took two service calls and three weeks. Now, the water dispenser leaks out of the area behind the ice maker dispenser and the lights on the display panel are starting to not work.We got a phone call last week from Samsung to ask us how the service call went. I told the person on the phone it still wasnt fixed and she replied that we could exchange or return the fridge. She said Samsung would call Lowes and get it taken care of and we would hear from Lowes in 2-3 business days. I waited several days and didnt hear anything. So I called Lowes, who has not heard from Samsung. So I called Samsung only to be told that the fridge could not be returned or exchanged and we would have to have another service call. This is ridiculous. The fridge is breaking, one thing after another, and I cannot get anyone to help us return it.

Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator! I purchased a French door, bottom freezer, center drawer unit in November 2014. Beautiful appliance! I never really cared for the icemaker, but it made ice so I was ok with it until the unit was 2 1/2 years old. The ice maker began to freeze on the bottom and no ice was made. Then the water began dripping out of the front door dispenser. Fortunately I purchased the extended warranty, but when the repairmen came, on four occasions, there was not much they could do to remedy the situation. Finally they ordered a new icemaker, but then Samsung backordered for over a month then sent the wrong parts. Seems Samsung has completely changed the repair of their icemakers and the repairmen have not installed a new one to their specifications, so mine is the first. Great! Mine will be the Guinea Pig! Wish I had this purchase to do over, and had my $2000 (sale price) back to purchased an American made unit.

RF217ACPN - I have owned this refrigerator for about two years. After a year and a half, I started having ice build up in crisper drawers. Researched problem online and found YouTube video describing the problem and fix. Removed shelves, etc., and panel covering defroster coil. I found the coil covered in ice and the drain clogged shut with ice. Followed video by replacing defroster thermistor sensor and using hot water to de-ice drain. I have now gone through the hot water treatment three times, also relocated (slightly) the sensor, but problem keeps reappearing on a less than two-week cycle. I own two of Samsung TVs and a computer monitor manufactured by them. I love them and have no complaints, but the refrigerator design really sucks along with their support. We purchased a new Samsung refrigerator in July, 2015 and immediately noticed loud popping and cracking noises. I contacted Samsung and was told this was normal due to our purchase of a model with automatic defrost. (Is there a manufacturer that still makes a manual defrost refrigerator?) No help here, so later I began a Live Chat on Samsungs website to again register my complaint. I was eventually given a link to request a service technician to come and examine the refrigerator. The link failed and I lost all contact with the rep. I then called the service request department and had a long conversation with a nice lady that again confirmed that the noise was normal. I donated a 20 year old Whirlpool that I wish I could get back and dump this Samsung. Never will I ever consider buying any other Samsung product.

We purchased our Samsung Induction range in Jan 2015. Within a couple of weeks we got an error message which made no sense but nothing on the range worked. As this was under the one year warranty I called Samsung. After several days and several calls I was informed there were no Samsung certified repair people within a three-hour radius. I called Calgary and was told by a Samsung certified repairman they get calls from all over the province but will not leave the city. I returned to Sears where I purchased the range. They were willing to replace the range but asked if I would allow them to arrange their service people to come out, which they did. No stove for three weeks as the entire electrical panel had to be replaced. Fortunately at this time I purchased five year extended warranty through Sears. We now have issues with the oven. For no reason, mid cycle/baking the oven puts out an error message (silent) and the range does not work. On one occasion it just stopped working without an error message. Thank goodness I dont have to try to get a repairman... Sears will send out their technician. I have read complaints about cleaning the glass top. I clean with soap and water. Dry it then spray with Weimar cooktop cleaner. It does a great job and my cooktop is still looking good. If you have an induction range and you find a stainless steel pan doesnt work, you likely have one of two problem. Some stainless steel pans have additional metals in them which will cause them not to work and the other is a warped bottom. I deeply regret buying this range and given Samsung phones catching fire and the clothes washer lids blowing off... I will never buy any Samsung products.

I bought this refrigerator at Best Buy. It was a return/open box, so I was a little concerned going in, but I had no idea what I was in for. For the first 3 weeks, it was great. I loved it. It looks GREAT, especially on the inside with the LED lighting, and the icemaker worked well. Noisy, but they all are. After 3 weeks I noticed water would spurt out the back of the dispenser when I got ice or water, then the next day I noticed my ice cream was soft. The temperature controls still said it was -2, but it obviously wasnt. The next day all the ice was melted. After a runaround at Best Buy, I called Samsung. After a hassle there proving Id just bought the thing, they finally sent someone out to look at it from a local repair shop. The repairman groaned when he saw it and said that most of his calls are for Samsung refrigerators, they break down all the time. He ordered said there was a leak in the coolant line and ordered a dye pack, then came back a couple weeks later to install it, then came back a couple weeks later and looked it over again, ordered another part, then came back and said it was fixed. All was good for 2 weeks, then the freezer went out again. Exact same as it had before. He came back out and said he had to order a couple sensors and a new control board for it. Every visit he made it clear that if we were to just return it and get a different fridge. He wouldnt mind at all that hed ordered the parts for nothing. Hint after hint finally sunk in, and we swapped it out for an LG. When the guys delivered the LG and picked up the Samsung, they laughed at the Samsung and said, Yeah, they have a lot of problems. Especially THAT model. You did right getting the LG. Ive since learned this model has been discontinued, no doubt because of its horrific service record.

Electric fire with Samsung range-top microwave, model SMH1713S - Purchased from Lowes Cerritos Town Center, Long Beach, CA, approximate price $300+/-. Normal use for less than one year, now producing smoke indicative of an electric short/fire in the mechanism. Also, failure of the main microwave generator as evidenced by lack of heating of material placed in the oven chamber. Major fire hazard, should be the subject of a recall from Samsung, but I do not see any indication that they have taken this type of action. Do not purchase Samsung microwave ovens. I bought my Samsung refrigerator in Aug 2013. The soda stream compartment failed in the first 6 months and was replaced under warranty. A year later, the fan in the back of the fridge made loud noises. It was covered with ice so the repairman replaced the entire panel. A year after that, it froze again and the repairman pulled it out and thawed it with a hairdryer. This continued every year. Now that I am in year 5, the main display is now inoperable and beeps continuously. The freezer is 48 degrees and the fridge is at 43. It is not cooling at all. Repairman out today said the main panel needs to be replaced. He got it running, but now the compressor sounds like a helicopter. I would never expect this amount of aggravation from a quality brand. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!!! We have decided to buy another brand after 5 years. You would think it would have lasted at least 15.Updated on 08/16/2018: I called Samsung on Aug 3 and was told since my fridge was just under 5 years old, the warranty on the electronics (power board) and compressor would be covered. I submitted all the requested information on their website on Aug 6. After almost 2 weeks (freezer at 62 degrees), a Samsung repair tech came out. He said its not covered under warranty. This is ridiculous to spend $3k on a refrigerator only to have it completely die in under 5 years. I will NEVER buy another Samsung. Im so disappointed.

My wife and I bout a Samsung RT5000K Top Freezer Twin Cooling Plus™, 350 L refrigerator for Courts Jamaica Limited. The first month the front plastic on the tray under the freezer compartment split down the middle while it was being wiped off. It was as if it had dry rotted. In the first three months the door started to bubble and this is the one that has the stainless steel look. They replaced the skin after a lot of complaining and then the door would hardly close by itself when they were done and they left all the plastic on.Now the rubbers are starting to crack on the door and we have not had the thing a year yet. The door is making a creaking sound once in a while when you open it and the refrigerator from day one has been making weird sounds. It also runs very hot and for an inverter type, the electric bill has not gone down at all. Have been trying to find the year of manufacture and cant seem to get any answers. I believe it was in storage a long time before being sold. Very disappointed and would never buy one again. Will continue to take to social media to get some answers.

The best thing you can do is stay away from any Samsung Refrigerator. I did my research and Samsung was one of the top brands - big mistake. They have several problems that seem to be across all their refrigerator models. Ice makers leak or freeze up, motherboards go bad, valves malfunction, the list goes on. It wasnt until I started having all these problems - after 5 years - and I googled them to find out these problems are very common. I now have a 5 yr. old refrigerator that I paid $2500.00 for and is in need of over $1,200.00 of repairs. Samsung will not help. There is a serious engineering flaw in the Samsung Refrigerators. The issue is that the refrigerator will ice up creating a huge ice jam in back of the refrigerator. It starts with water flowing down the back and into the crispers. That water freezes inside of the refrigerator causing a huge ice jam to create behind the back plastic covering inside of the refrigerator. This has been reported to be a widespread issue. All that you need to do is look up Samsung Refrigerator Issue on the internet. There are many individuals trying to provide so-called, remedies. However you cannot fix a poor design and the issue amounts to individuals having to defrost their refrigerator every couple months. Also water builds up inside. The internal temperature fluctuates thus causing food spoilage. Additionally the catch basin underneath will overflow with water causing damage to floors. Samsung appears to turn their back on this issue, even though it is widely reported. The issue starts after about the first or second year of ownership.

We purchased a new Samsung refrigerator with a bottom freezer. Not long after the installation, we noticed ice buildup in the refrigerator on the right side. We had recently had a power outage in our area and thought that may have caused the ice. We cleaned the ice off, but the ice continued to build. We called service and they came out and made an adjustment to the freezer drawer. We again called service and this technician replaced the drawer slides of the freezer. That seemed to have worked for a while. We now have ice buildup again and our refrigerator is no longer under warranty. I called Samsung directly and they will do nothing. I have no choice but to pay for the repair this time, but have no confidence that it will permanently fix the issue. This is the last Samsung appliance I will ever purchase.

7, yes, 7 Samsung fridges since May 2011 and not one has lasted. Tried side by sides and moved all the way up to 4 high-end French door models on sale for half price due to holidays. I can see why they can sell these lemons for so cheap, because they are junk. Nothing but major issue after major issue. Samsung could care less. My retailer was good, but even they kept saying “no way you could get so many defective fridges.” Oh, yes, I can and did. I have the service records to prove it; not that that means much considering every technician was clueless with no idea how to fix it. So they just try one or two things and when it doesn’t fix anything, they just say: “Defective, can’t be fixed.” And of course that’s only if they actually show up for the scheduled service call. Personally, I think Samsung should pull every model fridge they sell off of store shelves and should not be allowed to sell these obvious lemons to the public unless they learn how to make a fridge that works and one that can be fixed if something goes wrong. Why won’t the govt step in and stop Samsung immediately? Makes no sense that our governing bodies will not or have not yet, stepped in to the picture and make Samsung recall all fridges until they prove they can make a reliable fridge. Samsung’s are lemons, plain and simple, and should not be allowed to be sold to consumers in the U.S. If other countries want Samsung lemons, then that is their choice; but here in the USA, no way should they be allowed to sell these inferior lemons! Never will I ever go near any Samsung product ever again. Was actually looking at a new Samsung HD TV, but no way will I support Samsung or give them another penny of my money ever!

RB217ABPN - Purchased 11/06/09. Started noticing water in the fruit bin. Called for repair dept. Was told maybe we would have to pay for repairs, but go to simulator samsung.com. We did but it was not available for our refrigerator. Went to youtube. My husband took the refrigerator apart like shown. Once we removed the panel, we noticed it was all rusted on one side, the screws were not all in to hold the fan in place and one side of the panel is cracked in several places. Put back together. Hopeful it will work, but will be out looking for a new refrigerator since I dont think rust and cracked panel can be good. Nothing last long anymore.....

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator 18 months ago at Lowes for $2000.00 and it was a french door fridge. It stopped getting cold so I got on Samsung website and found a repairman at The Appliance Doctor. They sent a man out and he looked at the fridge and said it is not worth fixing. It needs a computer and two other parts. He continued to say Samsung are junk and it will break again. I then called another well known appliance repair center and they also told me that they do not work on Samsung products. They stated they cant get parts for them. So then I contacted Samsung and that was like talking to my dog. Very unhelpful. I went out and replaced this a Whirlpool.

We bought the Samsung double oven glass top electric range in January 2016
We bought the Samsung double oven glass top electric range in January 2016 for a bargain basement price of $1719, plus tax. Because they discontinued basic black we had to get the black stainless. In November, while wiping the upper oven door with a damp cloth some of the black stainless finish peeled off. I called Samsung Customer Service, if you want to call it that. They asked me to send a picture of the damage. They got back to me and called it consumer wear. I said, no its a defective finish. We went back and forth and finally, on December 5th they called me back and said its cosmetic and not covered. I said, the finish failed, and am I supposed to look at this for the next 8 years. They said I can get it fixed myself. In addition, the oven racks are so flimsy that when I had a 15 pound turkey in the oven the rack collapsed. Fortunately the other rack was right below and I was able to fix it. You have to remember to keep the pan in the center of the rack. Dealing with Samsung is worse than dealing with the VA. I will never buy another Samsung appliance. After reading the other reviews, Im really looking forward to some of the other problems I can have.

Samsung Microwave model # SMH8165ST - I bought this microwave in May of 2011, and it has gone out on me flashing the SE error code across the keypad. Nothing helps; the breaker is not tripped and I tested the plug to make sure it works. It is completely un-usable and of course the warranty has expired. I had to pay $500 plus to get it installed over my stove and a week or so later, pay an electrician another $500 to put in a new breaker for it because it kept tripping. I have been reading a lot of reviews on Samsung models with the very same problem. It appears to me that these should have been recalled long ago, but Samsung continued to sell them.I am 73 and on a fixed income, have no husband to make repairs, and pulling the thing out of my kitchen is out of the question for the moment. It looks like Im stuck; I feel this microwave should have served me for many years no more than I use it. Next week, 7 grandchildren will be here for a week for Camp Grandy and I cant imagine not having a working microwave! Hopefully, this helps someone else. I will certainly steer away from Samsung products from now on. I gave it 2 stars because it did last almost 3 years.

My story is similar to Eli from Vancouver. Bought this d/w in 2014. Was good for 4 months--lights started blinking. Called Samsung, they said needed a new computer board which they did replace. That was good for another 4 months. Then the d/w wasnt drying and draining properly. I have read that book so many times I could take a test and get a 100%. It would be faster to wash the dishes by hand. Then there is the smell. I have to run baking soda and vinegar in it every two weeks to keep it under control. Now I have more flashing lights--I am done. I am taking my loss and buying a Bosch. This was the worst experience ever. Life is complicated in the 21st century. We depend on these luxuries to make things a little easier. I do not need this stupid stress. I bought the stove and refrigerator too. Stove so far okay. Refrigerator not great either but I wont go on about that right now. The dishwasher is a big BUST!!! Avoid the stress. I wish I had the time because judging from the amount of entries on this site, the dishwashers are a real mess and a class action suit would make sense. Besides, by time it would be settled, I would be dead.

Same continuous issue with our Samsung refrigerator model RF28HMEDBWW. At least 3 service calls (maybe more) and now we have been waiting for 3 weeks to get the ice maker part replaced. Ice maker continuously freezes up and wont dispense ice... frustrating! Customer service is terrible. No one calls back from the service company or the warranty company to let us know the status. Waiting now to see if the part can even be ordered... maybe not available any longer, not sure. Luckily I purchased the extended warranty. Well see what happens. I do not recommend this refrigerator.

I purchased this new refrig. when my old one gave out, so I was in a hurry to get one and did not do any homework as to the appliance. I went by the name alone. Big mistake. Right from the front door inside the house this thing was making noises like crazy. After 2 weeks of trying to get a repair man out, they finally replaced the fan and the ice maker. These loud banging noises, and cracking sounds, then sounds like hot water hitting cold, sizzling noises continue. All day and All night!! My dogs are barking all night thinking someone is coming into the house it is so loud, when company comes, I have to shut their door, in hopes they can sleep. I would never buy another Samsung ever!! I would like to get some sleep at night, I do have to work. I hope someone reads this and can do something about this problem, or replaces this haunted device. Thank you for reading.

We purchased a Samsung RF197ACBP French Door Refrigerator from Best Buy in August 2013 after considerable research. We bought it because it was one of the rare 19 models that would fit into our cabinet-depth space, and because of what seemed like a good general reputation. Wish wed checked here! The door handles of this black refrigerator have had paint scratching off since the beginning. Best Buy replaced them the first week, but theyve continued to scratch and ding. A week ago, we couldnt open the left vegetable drawer. Discovered it had become stuck in place by a half-inch of solid, clear ice underneath. After eliminating all other possible sources of leakage (and note, we did not install the ice maker, so theres no water being piped to the refrigerator), we discovered a vent hole on the back panel that appears to be dripping small amounts of water. Now weve read how common a problem this is, and of course our fridge is out of warranty, and we are left to deal with it. This is corporate fraud of the most disgusting kind. To think that this expensive, ill-designed piece of junk replaced a 40-year-old Amana that never once failed us makes me despair of American and global business. Well try the self-help options - and maybe a local repair call - but I wont pay a dime for Samsung or Best Buy service.

We remodeled our kitchen and purchased an electric Samsung stove with warming drawer from H.H. Gregg. This oven was $1500 and it was supposed to work as a double oven because it has a metal divider and dual controls for upper and lower ovens or you can remove the divider and use as one large oven. I was so excited to basically have 2 ovens, plus a warmer. It never baked well from the very beginning. I would preheat the oven, but it would never cook at that temperature. It was always 50-75 degrees below what it was set for. It was under warranty so I called Samsung. They wanted ME to troubleshoot and calibrate the oven, which I did following their instructions. Nothing helped. I called Samsung four times and finally got them to arrange for a licensed local tech to come fix the problem. He replaced everything he could find and it still doesnt work. The oven is awful and Samsung customer service is just as awful. They read responses from a card and do not listen to anything you are trying to tell them. I really wish I had read other reviews before I ever bought it. It is still under warranty with H.H. Gregg, so now it is their problem, and mine.

We have had nothing but trouble since we bought a Samsung refrigerator. French doors with refrig drawer and bottom freezer. Ice dispenser in door leaks water continuously, ice maker shaves ice no matter what setting you choose (cubed or crushed), freezer drawer does not open all the way without jerking hard on it. We had repairman come several times while it was under warranty and they never got anything fixed? They said that’s just the way they are. Really? Back of refrigerator, behind panel, freezes up all the time and I have to defrost every few months. Drawer that holds the ice freezes shut and can’t open it. This refrigerator sucks. I would NEVER buy another Samsung product ever, EVER again and certainly would not recommend you do either!!!!

My Samsung refrigerator is just 1 year old and the technicians have visited almost every month due to one or the other problem. It started just over a month when I realized that any fruit or vegetable I kept outside the vegetable compartment had ice in it. Even the cooked vegetables if kept in the back of the shelf had ice in it. I kept on complaining this issue to Samsung Customer Service. Every time they will send a technician who will change the part and go. It was more of a pain as I couldnt use the fridge to full capacity. As instructed by technicians there were so many things which I shouldnt put in certain shelves or the size of boxes. I kept away leftovers or anything cooked/half cooked. I dont remember till date if I ever had to be so careful in using the refrigerator. I couldnt use half of the space in refrigerator fearing it will get spoiled. Not only that, my refrigerator stopped working completely 3 times in just a span of 1 year. Again they had to change the parts. I kept on calling them and asking them to change the refrigerator as it was giving me so many problems (not to forget just in 1 year- full warranty period) but they just turned deaf ear to my requests, even when I contacted their supervisor. Ill never ever recommend Samsung refrigerator to anyone after this experience. It looks like every time the warranty expires, Ill have to keep purchasing extended warranty and bear with the refrigerator. This Samsung product has been a big pain in the ass.

Bought my Samsung refrigerator less than 3 years ago, March, 2016. I have had to have the ice maker replaced and now the refrigerator is not cooling properly. It has taken a month to get a repairman in to fix the problem. Less than 36 hours later after it being repaired, I was awaken at 4 am in the morning with my refrigerator making the same noise and stopped cooling AGAIN. Luckily the refrigerator is still under warranty but I was without for a month, now it is going to be another 2 weeks before they can come out and replace the same part they just replaced. It is 2 weeks before Thanksgiving, how is anyone supposed to live without a refrigerator at this time of year? This is inexcusable! Samsung needs to buck up and get these items fixed or replace our units with new ones!!!

We bought a Samsung model RF28HFEDBSR refrigerator through Home Depot for the princely sum of $ 2400.00, in May 2014. From day one the unit has made a super annoying, loud buzzing noise when the refrigerator part cools. We contacted Samsung repair and the operator had us hold the phone near the refrigerator so she could hear the noise. Wow, that doesnt sound right!, she said. Samsung sent a repairman from Willowset TV who arrived 3 hours late. He said the RPMs of the fan were normal but was not competent enough to diagnose the problem. Did I mention he reeked of body odor? Now we lie awake at night listening to a sound like a weed whacker coming from our new refrigerator. We are disgusted, to say the least. Called Samsung again yesterday and they said they would send another repairman. I asked where he was coming from and the operator said, Monterey, you live in California, right? No, I answered. We live in Connecticut, as I have told you three times now.

My Samsung RSG257AARS (purchased 2013) counter depth refrigerator completely turns off (front display, interior lights - both sides, and compressors) when outside temps start to warm up. This happened 1 time approx. after a year of ownership, already out of warranty by that point by the way. During the cool months it never shuts off. Again a little more frequently the following year. Now the first warm day in April its already started again.I have tried contacting their Samsung customer service line, which they told me it was out of warranty of course, I would be responsible for all charges. The Authorized Service center would have to Diagnose the problem, I will have to miss a day of work $$. Then order part, reschedule repair, miss another day of work $$. Pay for all of this and pray it fixes problem. The ice maker has never been sufficient during the months when you need ice the most, this has been a constant complaint on many forums. Totally dissatisfied with this product and will never purchase a Samsung product.

I had written earlier regarding Samsungs positive response for my request for service but they performed even better when I encountered additional service problems. The service tech they selected wasnt responding to my efforts to do the job. I called Samsung and reported the delay. After that call, they called me every day to determine if the rep had set up an appointment and offered to give the job to a different technician. I asked for another service center and they set it up and in 2 days, the microwave had the control panel replaced at no cost. The service rep was timely, called me in advance and finished the job in less than 10 minutes. Best effort by a major company ever!

The ice maker started jamming right away. When we called they gave us instructions on how to clear the jam ourself. I have never had a company tell me to fix anything myself. What they told me to do did not fix it. So we called and finally got them to send a service person out. He did not put a new ice maker. He just caulked around the ice bin. Within a day it was jamming again. We called to have a service person come back and fix it. When he came he put a whole new ice maker in. No help! It is still jamming and now it is gathering ice in the chute inside the door and then when the door opens ice flies everywhere.Putting in another ice maker is not going to solve the problems we are having because the blades have too much slack in them and they go behind another blade and they hang up. We called and told them we wanted them to come and get the refrigerator and of course they refused to. The company should not be allowed to sell this kind of junk and then make people keep it. I wish we had known how bad the product was and hope everyone will beware of buying anything Samsung!

We replaced all of our kitchen appliances two years ago with this line of Samsung appliances. The refrigerator is currently a model involved in a class action lawsuit as water pools in the crisper drawers and produce spoils. I can deal with taking drawers out and dumping them, but at the beginning of this month my husband was in our nursery when he heard a loud pop in the kitchen. Upon inspection, he noticed that our glass top (Range NE595ROABSR) had cracked completely from front to back. Furthermore, fragments of the glass continued to split from the bottom up (not from the top down as one would suspect had it been an object of force hitting the top).He called Samsung and they sent a diagnostic tech out a week later (bear in mind that we have three children under the age of four and nothing safe to cook on) for the cost of $80. My husband explained to the technician that he had set an empty two quart pot on the stove before hearing the baby cry. The stove was not on and HAD NOT BEEN ON FOR TWO DAYS at that point. The technician took pictures, says he sees this all the time, agreed that there was absolutely no physical damage on our end, he said he could tell where the glass had a defect, but warned us that Samsung likes to deny claims. We paid the $80 to this third company for him to take some pictures and leave. He left and two days later we were indeed denied. We began the arduous process of calling and talking to every imbecile that works for this pathetic excuse of a company. We were initially told that their technical support team approved us for a replacement once the diagnostic tech called them and sent in pictures explaining that this was a Samsung defect. After a few days of no one coming to replace the range top, we called back and were informed that the glass top isnt covered in the five year GLASSTOP WARRANTY (seriously, this company is ludicrous). After spending two more days and endless hours on the phone (mind you with a four month old, and two preschoolers screaming and crying in the background), we were informed that it doesnt matter what the diagnostic technician says, their product review department is comprised of engineers that are specially trained to detect physical damage IN CELL PHONE PICTURES and they determined that since my husband had an EMPTY pot sitting in the stove at the time the glass cracked we had physically damaged the item and they would not replace the range top, but we could for an additional ~$250 plus another $50 in labor to the company we already paid $80 to diagnose the problem.Perhaps its just me, but I was under the impression that stoves were meant to hold pots. Granted this one had been left alone in a kitchen because of a colicky baby, so perhaps it grew legs and jumped up and down until breaking our range and causing the physical damage. None the less, we are out of pocket the $800+ it cost two years ago, and additional $80 for a diagnostic tech that Samsung refuses to believe over some gods behind a computer screen that do not receive or accept calls from customers, and I still have NOTHING safe to cook on for my sons. We refuse to replace the glass top because there is no guaranty this wont happen again. Thanks Samsung for costing a struggling family to struggle even more. We doubt that youll care, but youve lost us as customers for life.

After about 14 months the refrigerator went bad and started popping the CGFI plug in the house. After contacting Lowes to request help in support of this issue and try to use the extended warranty I was told that the warranty company refused to help saying that it was our fault the refrigerator was not working. I contacted Samsung to ask for help, they said they can send someone to diagnose the issue but it would cost me additional $165.00 for labor.I agreed to this but the person who was supposed to perform the diagnoses was not even qualified to work on refrigerator and Im sure he was not certified by Samsung to work on their appliances. He blamed us like the Lowes supposed qualified technician that it was our fault that the refrigerator was not working. I have contact both Samsung and Lowes many time without any progress. I have decided not to ever buy anything from Samsung or Lowes. I hope you can learn from my mistake in dealing with well known companies. I can provide receipts if I feel this is going somewhere.
