Samsung French Door with freezer on the bottom. Right away after purchase, the crisper drawers kept filling with 2 inches of water. I have adjusted the temp but that hasnt helped. It improved when we were in Florida for 2 months & the door was kept closed. The sound of the ice maker is very loud, but I will tolerate that if I can fix the crisper problem.

RF series fridge freezes up, leaks water on to floor causing damage to flooring. Ice maker also freezes up. Must defrost fridge for an entire day every month or so. Samsung will not share the root cause of this failure. The solution offered by Samsung is to defrost it for 24 hours. Our $1000.00 dishwasher was placed curbside after 1.5 years. Microwave oven also failed after 3.5 years. Dont purchase Samsung appliances unless you are willing to replace the appliances every 2 years.

I purchased Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model RFG297AARS for $2000 on 3/2011. However, I didnt buy the extended protection plan (should have) because I had protection plan with local electric company. I started to have problems in Jun 2013. Water in the bottom of the crisper and the refrigerator/ freezer was not cooling properly. I called to have maintenance done on the unit, and the repairmen told me that all of the defrost circuits and the sealed compressor were working properly and the drain lines were clear. They stated that all of the older and same model of mine had issues on lack of insulation in the box and during summer/high humid months, the unit would not keep up. I contacted Samsung and they never heard of this and would be happy to come out to look at the unit. If it wasnt a compressor issue, I would be charged for the visit. So we just unplugged the refrigerator and let it thaw out, and after that it worked okay, but not great. Then in Feb 2014, my freezer and refrigerator stopped cooling, so I called up for maintenance and they determined the sealed cooling system was not working and to call Samsung for repair under the 5-yr warranty. I called Samsung and they sent out a repair rep and he came out and said that the compressor/sealed system was not working properly and he would be in 2 weeks. When he came back, he tried everything but he could find the leak and he stated that it was not repairable!! 3 months later, no working refrigerator, just a broken one sitting in the way in my kitchen. Samsung finally decided to buy the unit back, but it would take 15-20 days and would get back to me concerning the removal of the broken one. No check, no email - nothing at all. Please do not buy this model or from this company. They say they understand what I am going through, but I dont think they do because they would have sent me my check and removed this broken box out of my kitchen so I can buy a new one for my family without a refrigerator.

Do not buy any Samsung product in Scarborough, Ontario. If you do, double-check first if they have any service technician in your area. I bought a fridge, model RB194ACRS, and after one year, my fridge stopped working. I called Samsung and they told me that they cannot fix my fridge because they dont have a service technician in our area. Samsung company, if you dont have service in the area, then stop selling your product. AGAIN, DO NOT BUY Samsung products!!!

On 8/29/16 we purchased the 25 cu ft French Door with External Water & Ice Dispenser, Model Number: RF263BEAESG/AA Refrigerator in the Black Stainless finish. Delivered 9/3/16. We purchased this high end very pricey fridge, a high end matching gas range and dishwasher so we spent a pretty decent amount of money. The set was ordered from a local appliance store and was NOT a scratch & dent product. While from a distance the fridge looks fantastic, dont look too close. Under the factory packaging (plastic protective packaging & cardboard was not damaged at all) there were numerous scratches and a small dent in the upper left door. I would expect a new expensive appliance such as this would not arrive in this condition. The appliance store is closing and unable to order a new refrigerator or even just a new door. I dont need an entire new fridge, just an undamaged door.Samsung feels it is our problem and refused to do anything about it. While waiting on hold the recorded message spoke of their commitment to customer service. Well we didnt get that, in fact just the opposite. Interesting is that we really like Samsung and have always promoted their products. This is the first issue weve had and they failed us. I would not recommend this product due to how fragile it seems to be and Samsung will not make it right. I have a beautiful new kitchen with very nice high end Samsung appliances, except for the scratched and dented fridge. Is this really what I waited for all these years? Extremely disappointed. How hard would it be to replace my door? Any other appliance store would have sent it back to Samsung and requested a replacement from Samsung. Why cant Samsung just do that for me?Thanks alot Samsung. Also, I submitted this same review on Samsungs site and guess what? They wont post it.

RF 268 Series Model RF268ABBP - We bought this refrigerator three years ago and now it is going to cost me a minimum of $400 to get repaired. I came home to a flood in the kitchen because the cheap plastic piece going into the water filter cracked. Next the temperature and water control panel goes out and the freezer is freezing up. It sounds like there should be a Class Action Lawsuit against Samsung regarding these refrigerators. Also, I called Samsung and they were going to have a local repair company call but they never did. I finally went to Lowes and got someone to come out. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG!!

Like everyone else posting here, I bought a Samsung Over the Range Microwav
Like everyone else posting here, I bought a Samsung Over the Range Microwave. At the time, Consumer Reports thought it was the best buy in microwaves. Last time I bother to read Consumer Reports. My Samsung isnt even 2 years old; but of course, no longer under warranty and it stopped working. I get weird symbols appearing on the panel, then SE, then a row of 6s and beeping. My husband tried to do what other people having this problem have reported doing on the internet. Unplugged it for a day, tried resetting the key pad. The bottom line is the keypad is flawed and even if he can coax the microwave to work for a short time, it ultimately quits working again. My husband went online to purchase a replacement keypad from Sears. Sears discontinued the part. I guess they dont want to be mixed up in this mess. I dont blame them. I called Samsung and good luck. They could care less about making good on a clearly flawed design/part. They told me they could arrange a repairman to come to fix it at my expense. I am not throwing away more of my money trying to fix this piece of junk. Samsung obviously wont stand behind their products.Time to buy another microwave; it took a lightning strike to kill my first GE microwave of 20+ years. I am headed back to the GE showroom. This was the first Samsung product I have ever bought and it will be the last. I really hope that they recorded my conversation with their representative on the phone today. Maybe when the company goes bankrupt, they will figure out in retrospect why! They deserve to go bankrupt.P.S. I saw another disgruntled customer has posted a video on YouTube about his microwaves bizarre behavior. He has the same model as mine and his microwave is doing the same thing that mine is doing. Watch the video and weep. Fight with your wallet and dont buy Samsung products!

This SAMSUNG refrigerator is less than two years old and its already had numerous service calls. 1) ice maker did not work. There is a class action suit for this, 2) handles easily break off due to ridiculously cheap plastic parts, 3) lower shelving is very difficult to clean, 4) poorly designed; retractable door guard (again) easily breaks, 5) poor customer service - average wait times are one hour so rely on callbacks from India and finally, this all means 6) poor value for your hard earned money. Unfortunately, some of the other models and brands arent much better. Save yourself the aggravation and avoid this model. Samsung should stick with making TVs and avoid making refrigerators. If you ignore this advice then at least consider an extended warranty. You will definitely be using it.

Bought this new Samsung Oven Range NE58F9500SS along with other new Samsung appliances after remodel the whole kitchen Dec 17 2017. And before we start making breakfast I went for run and thanks to God the rest of the family stay home in their rooms when smoke detector went off. They came out of the room to find out the range flame was coming out of the oven area (12/30/2017). My older son try open the door to put out the fire and oven door keep latch, neither stove nor over was used at the moment. Smoke started coming out of the control panel. My son was able to put up the fire by force door open enough to where he can used the fire extinguisher. We fortune enough. Thank God. If the house was empty the whole house could be lost. I cannot believe Samsung has not recalled this product. My hope is that someone doesnt have to die before something is done.

I had purchased Samsung StormWash in Best Buy in 2018/06 for my remodeled place. The first use of dishwasher was in 2018/09. About a week ago, the dishwasher does not operating and would shut off within seconds after power on. Instead of having technician from Samsung, the technician was so-called Samsung authorized technician. Technician came with diagnosis fee and told me it does not worth to have the dishwasher repaired since it is circuit board failed. I was silly enough not buying extended warranty for such a junk. Who would think the dishwasher would be failed in two years of use. I really wish there were some way to get part of money back. The product sucks and literally, there is no customer support after 1 year warranty.

I remodeled my kitchen and bought all new appliances for continuity. Samsung had a special going on with interest free purchase so bought their refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. I am having difficulties with their dishwasher and refrigerator. Lets talk about the dishwasher first (model number DW80J3020US). This dishwasher does not work well at all. I pre-rinse before I load and yet it does not wash dishes clean unless on heavy wash with sanitize option. Even then, sometimes the dishes are not clean. I called Samsung customer service and we did some troubleshooting over the phone. That did not work, so she sent someone to look at the dishwasher. The repair man came. He was super rude and short, he turned it on then turned it off and said nothing is wrong with the dishwasher. I need to buy a different dish washing soap. I told him that the soap would not cause the dishes to have black particles on the dishes also that I pre-rinse. He stated that Samsung only recommends the use of one type of soap. Then he told me that if I call to waste his time again then there would be a charge. My refrigerator (model number RF23HCEDBSR/AA) is only one year old and the ice maker is not working. I called Samsung and the customer service rep. stated that I need adjust the leveling of the fridge and check that my water supply is enough to the fridge. She claimed that the front of the fridge must be higher than the back. I did as she told me yet. NO ICE and the water trickles out. I told her this and she insisted that it is my fault. I asked her to send someone out and she said I would be charged. I WOULD NEVER recommend any of Samsungs products to anyone.

Samsung finally replaced it after they said they couldnt get the parts to fix it. 6 months after the new one was installed it broke and Samsung said that the warranty was over on the dishwasher but they would send a repair shop over to look at it at my cost. I would highly recommend that you stay away from Samsung dishwashers.

I bought my Samsung Dishwasher because I thought I saw reviews that it was a good choice. Cant trust all those reviews as this dishwasher lasted less than 2 years. The cost to repair was more than what I paid for the dishwasher in the first place. I have never owned a dishwasher with such poor lasting ability. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance again. SHAME on Samsung for such a bad product. I should get at least 5-10 years out of it. They dont even have enough confidence in their product to offer more than the standard 1 year warranty. I am just so disgusted right now. I dont know what to do.

Two years ago I bought a Samsung kitchen suite. Within the first few months my ice maker on the fridge went out and the dishwasher motherboard had to be replaced. We have had constant issues with the dishwasher. It does not stop running so we have to unplug it. Service is coming again and I have had enough. I want a new dishwasher that works properly. Did I happen to say that it is only two years old? Samsungs customer service is in India and they are no fun to deal with. When I asked them to replace it they said talk to the Best Buy WHERE I bought it from. Best Buy said to call Samsung for a replacement. NO ONE IS TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR A BAD PRODUCT. Model # RF260BEAESR/AA -- do not buy this product...ever! Left French door assembly/gasket has broken and literally fell off twice. As it is a little over 2 years old, it is no longer under warranty, therefore Lowes has offered me nothing but rudeness and ridiculous hold times. The end result is that Samsung had to be called directly. After repeated phone calls and hours of my life that I can no longer get back, its going to cost me ANOTHER 300.00 to replace the same part. Samsungs customer support is deplorable. They have essentially offered me nothing. After the tech completes this repair my total repair/loss cost will be almost 1,000.00, and I will still have the same horrible appliance that will undoubtedly need the same repair months from now. Samsung has refused to even pay for the diagnostic tech appointment (another 90.00 to tell me what I already know) or parts, or labor. Apparently when you buy a Samsung appliance you are entirely responsible for obvious factory defects and they will assist with nothing...ever. In speaking with a few Samsung-certified technicians, they have informed me that not only do most customers have this disappointing experience but their own technicians cannot get the support they need to provide the necessary service!!! Samsung customer service # is 1-800-726-7864. I plan on calling them all day, everyday, until I die. You should too!!! We cannot keep accepting lousy products and service!

I own a Samsung black stainless steel refrigerator. The ice maker stopped working a few months later. Never made a big deal about it but after calling Samsung they wanted to charge me for a tech to take a look. I did buy the extended warranty. Samsung has a class action lawsuit against them for this problem. They never made the American public aware of this problem. They insist there is no recall but acknowledge via bulletins there is a problem. I asked both chat technician and customer support why are we not being told and asked to speak to someone who could answer me. I was told no one could call me by Kit the chat tech and customer support hung up on me.I own about 12 different Samsung appliances. Disgusting how they take our money and then turn their backs. I am a hard working American citizen and I refuse to put another dime in Samsungs pocket. Their employees take joy on seeing fellow Americans used and I would never recommend buying Samsung again. I wasted 4 plus hours to be lied to then to be hung up on. I would recommend never to buy Samsung and I will make it my duty to rid my house of all Samsung products. This company is all about defrauding hard working Americans.

After paying for months for a new refrigerator, which was over $2,500, which is a lot of money to me, after about a year, it started making a noise. I called Samsung for them to tell me that a service tech would come out, but that was not covered under warranty and I did not buy the extended warranty. Well, after I spent that much money, I didnt think I needed to spend additional amount for an extended warranty. Was I wrong? Another $300 for some 18-year-old kid to just switch out a motor. Here we are 11 months later with the same problem, mainly because the first technician didnt fix it right the first time. It constantly freezes up, and water is under the vegetables bins. What a lemon. People, do your homework and never buy a Samsung refrigerator! This one had the ice and water on the outside and the French doors. I was really upgrading, and I had to make payments. Samsung couldn’t care less!

We purchased the Samsung SMH9187ST microwave OTR from Best Buy in early 2010. This unit was one of the top-rated OTR microwaves on Consumer Reports. The oven has been very lightly used as we have a second microwave in the kitchen (a Sharp which is over 7 years old). Anyhow, 29 months after purchasing the Samsung, the keypad is showing the SE code and is basically unusable. As others have experienced, this is a known defect that Samsung should take care of but wont. I will be sadly buying another brand to replace this nice looking junk, but I would eagerly participate in a class action lawsuit against Samsung!

No working fridge for 4 months and counting. I purchased the Samsung 22.3 Cu Ft counter deep Side-by-side refrigerator with thru the door ice and water - stainless steel. Model RS22HDHPNSR on March 21st, 2015. This fridge was to be the center piece of my kitchen renovation. It was my one big shiny splurge, costing me $2100. My fridge worked fine from March 2015 until November 2016, when it stopped compressing cold air. Since the parts were still under warranty Samsung agreed to have technicians from A&E electrical come to my home in Northern California SIX times over a period of FOUR months to replace the compressor, a 4-way valve and a motherboard. They have also reduced the pressure on something and then the next time increased the pressure on that same part. According to my calculations Samsung has paid over $1400 to fix my fridge, which is inefficient for this company and extremely frustrating and time-consuming for me. Each time a technician comes to my home they try to fix it and they cant. When a technician does come to my home it is not trivial. I have to take time away from work and wait for them to arrive over a 4 hour period (9 am to 1 pm or 1 pm to 5 pm). There have been two occasions when the technician had to reschedule because he had overbooked his schedule and one occasion when the technician just didnt turn up and didnt even call to reschedule. When the technician does actually turn up and has attempted to fix my fridge and failed, I immediately call Samsung and then have to explain my situation all over again. I then have to wait for another 2-3 weeks before a technician can come out again. And then the same thing happens all over again! Im at the point now where I have had the fridge finally deemed as unrepairable by a technician and have sent in my proof of purchase and the technicians report to executive customer services by email. Ive also threatened to take legal action if I am not compensated immediately because 4 months without a fridge and two young boys is physically and mentally quite miserable. For me $2100 is just too much money to throw away so I have no choice but to keep fighting this corrupt company. I am very disappointed that Samsung customer service have threaded me along for so long.

SE error code after 2 years on model SMH9187ST - Well it seems that we are one of many who have reached the magical two year mark with our Samsung microwave. Weve had ours 2 years and 2 months and now have the SE error code and beeping. We unplugged the unit and then plugged it back in with same error showing. Now were just waiting to have it repaired. Well see how that goes. We are amazed at how many people are having this problem and that the company doesnt stand by their product. We also have a Samsung French door refrigerator and are now keeping our fingers crossed on that one (although we did have to have it replaced after the first week because there was a problem with the drawer seal). We have two Samsung TVs as well. After this experience, we dont plan on purchasing any more Samsung products.

Here it is in a nutshell (a rather big nutshell)... I STRONGLY advise against purchasing a Samsung range (Samsung MODEL NE59J7630SW) for the following reasons... Purchased 01/15/2017, delivered 02/07/2017. We have been contacting Samsung for service since October with no success. We have now been WITHOUT A WORKING RANGE FOR OVER A MONTH. The so-called SERVICE and WARRANTY for this appliance is a joke (See below). We have not used the stove as Samsung instructed for over a month.Weve spent $100s of dollars eating out and can only can eat cold sandwiches at home. We also had to cancel our Christmas gathering that weve had for 15 years due to this on-going problem. Samsung now says they dont have ANYONE to service our area and were promised a full REFUND (still waiting for it). We bought it at HOME DEPOT. So that you can fully understand our frustration, heres a log of how weve tried to resolve this...10/16 - Called for service - Hot element light stays on continuously (NO CALLBACK OR RESPONSE). 11/06 - I burned my hand because I didnt know the element was actually HOT! 12/01 - Called again (ticket **) Stove-top cracked (Tech to call with service date, NO CALL RECEIVED). 12/07 - Received email from Samsung - CANCELLED TICKET/SERVICE CALL??? 12/07 - Called Home Depot appliance manager (said to try again, let him know if not resolved).12/14 - EMAIL from Samsung (new ticket **) - Appointment made for 12/18 (NEVER SHOWED). 12/18 - No one showed up. Called Samsung, service center said date was 12/21 9am-1pm (said Samsung messed update). 12/21 - Tech called 11:30 am running late, changed to 3:30 pm. Tech called 4:30 stuck in traffic, will be here late (NEVER CALLED BACK OR SHOWED UP). After reading other posts, I realize that my Samsung French Door with Drawer refrigerator is a real lemon and that I am one of thousands of unfortunate people who purchased this refrigerator! It appears that there is no customer service, so the refrigerator will just have to be trashed. Last year the ice maker quit, froze totally solid, could not be fixed by a refrigerator repair person. He couldnt thaw it and suggested we call Samsung. After several hours, actually 2 days, we thawed it with a hair dryer, hot water, etc.! We pulled the cube maker out and just used the ice maker area to make cubes placing an ice cube tray in the opening. Suddenly one day a year later it started making ice cubes, then it quit, now it is leaking water onto the floor. Today water just poured out of the ice maker area into the refrigerator! I came to this site to see if others were having similar problems with their Samsung Refrigerator, and found that I am only one among many who are out well over a thousand dollars, with no hope of getting assistance from Samsung. What a waste of money on this product! Why is there not a class action lawsuit against Samsung?

SAMSUNG RS22HDHPNSR Counter-Depth Side by Side Refrigerator - Do yourself a favor, when researching what brand of refrigerator to buy, EXCLUDE Samsung from your list. After a year of purchasing this fridge from Best Buy, the unit stopped working. Fortunately my husband registered the fridge on Samsungs website and got an extended warranty of 3 addl months. After dealing with the terrible customer service and finally got the right repairman in, the repairman couldnt exactly tell us what was wrong with it. He said I think there is a leak so Ill repair that, but it could break down again today, tomorrow, next week, next month. That did not leave us with much comfort. So, here we are a few weeks later, and the fridge stopped cooling, AGAIN. Yet again, we are wasting our time explaining the situation to Samsung, then to have another service guy come out again which is scheduled a week from now because theyre all booked probably because they are trying to fix other lemons from Samsung. I dont know whats going to happen with this fridge, but my advice for those looking to buy a fridge or any appliances is DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG! Youll waste your precious time and money. Not worth it.

This Samsung Range model (NE63T8711SG/AA) was purchased in February. Loaded with features as well as the oven compartment having an air fryer and dehydrator. 3 weeks after we purchased the $2000.00 range my wife decided to use the Air Fryer to make wings. The fan in the oven blew grease all over the oven coating the entire enamel surface with grease and the entire house was engulfed in smoke. Took us three days to clean off the caked on grease. Needless to say we will never use the Air Fry feature again. A few days later we tried to make a spaghetti dish. Not wanting to have caked on mess on the bottom we put aluminum in the oven. The oven melted the aluminum and is fused to the enamel surface of the oven. We have tried everything to get it off. Needless to say after calling Samsung, they will not help us with this issue at all. The Range is only 3 months old and the oven has been used a total of three times and they wont help us. Besides this problem we have found that the burner knobs are so touchy that barely bumping them or leaning against the oven slightly will turn the burners on. The burners protrude past the range. Very dangerous! Beware of this oven!

Bought a French door with middle divided door model 3 months ago. It stopped freezing and cooling but digital display indicated temp ok. After discovering food in freezer thawed and no ice, had to discard contents. Samsung sent repair man and he replaced parts and left. It was not fixed. Called back for second visit for repair and did not have needed parts. Came back 3rd time and replaced motherboard on January 20th. 3 weeks later, same problem. Discard food, called Samsung and insisted on replacement and was told technician would come out and deem it unrepairable. I agreed but said will not allow another repair. Tech came out with more parts to fix it. I refused repair, just asked him to determine that the same issue had occurred. That was yesterday. Today on multiple calls with Samsung customer support and was told it would have to be fixed again, refused to replace this obviously defective unit. I am looking for a solution, but dont think it will come from Samsung. Contacted Lowes where I purchased it and was told it would have to go through manufacturer (Samsung). what ever happened to backing up your products? Never, ever will I buy ANY SAMSUNG product again. We are out over $2000 for the refrigerator, approx. $500 in groceries, and several hours of lost wages. Sears... Here I come. Kenmore seems to be the way to go. Lesson learned. Buyer beware!

Nov. 2009 we bought a new fridge. After 2 days the water quit dispensing. The fridge was replaced. 2 days later the new fridge wouldnt dispense water. Next tech put in a heater to keep the reservoir for the water from freezing. Next the space saver ice maker quit. It got replaced. Next event was the control panel went out. It was replaced Sept. 2012. Now Jan. 2015 the control panel is out again. Weve called several service companies, including Sears Blue Crew, but no one services our area; they used to. This fridge has had service every year. Now out of warranty Samsung says they cant do anything to help us, not even find us service for the fridge. Almost impossible to remove ice bin on ice maker when it freezes up. Have had it repaired twice for hefty service fees. I purchased a Samsung dishwasher in 9/2012 model # DMT400RHW/XAA from Sears. From day 1 the dishwasher would not wash my dishes very good. It would leave spots on glasses, utensils, & a white substance on plates, bowls, etc. I contacted Sears after the tub in the dishwasher was holding water & the dishwasher would shut off with the delicate blue light flashing. Sears advised me to contact Samsung Repair. This is when the dissatisfied consumer turned into Angry Consumer. I contacted Samsung Repair & they told me that I was assigned to a repair company to come out & fix the dishwasher (under warranty) at No Charge, but when I contacted repair appliance company, she advised me that I would have to pay for it to be repair. Then I contacted Samsung repair & told them what the repair company said so she then assigned me to another repair appliance company, but they wanted me to pay for the mileage for them to come out & fix the dishwasher. Again, I had to contact Samsung Repair about the mileage problem. After several calls to Samsung Repair, she put me on hold & came back & said her manager said they would pay for the mileage. The repair appliance coming assigned would never answer my phone calls or messages I left more than 4 times. They would call me at inconvenient times when I was driving & could not pick up the phone, but I would pull over & call back & the repair company again would not pickup my calls or return my messages I had left & the next day Samsung Repair department closed the repair order, without contacting me to let me know they were going to close out the repair order or to find out why from me that I could not get in touch with the repair company. I called the Executive Customer Relations department spoke to Keya & she advised me that the dishwasher would be repaired at No Charge. I sent several Emails to corporate office & Samsung repair several times & several days ago & I have not received any correspondence from Samsung either by Email or Phone Call. Please help me in getting my money back from Samsung. I have never owned a Samsung dishwasher before or do not ever want to own a Samsung dishwasher again. This is the First & Last time I will purchase a Samsung appliance, electronic, or Any other product ever again from Samsung. I have never ever had a problem with any dishwasher I have purchased before, Only This Samsung Dishwasher. Please, Please, Please Help Me!!! I dont have the money for an Attorney.

Same issue as William. Purchased the RFG298HDRS refrigerator with bottom freezer drawer less than one year ago. Recently, noticed the inside of the freezer and all contents were covered with furry frost. Thought door was left open on accident. Noticed instead that the weatherstripping seal was no longer touching the refrigerator when drawer was closed. Took all contents from freezer. Drawer would still not close all the way. Turns out like William above, 1.5 inches thick-1 inch thick solid sheet of ice covering inside of drawer housing- floor of the freezer housing. Took upper freezer drawer out and was able to remove solid sheet of ice in two pieces from bottom of freezer. Now drawer closes fine. This is really an unfortunate situation. I think the water that leaked before we noticed the problem, has ruined the floor. (The flooring wasnt my choice, it was here when we bought the place. Not ideal for a kitchen but what can you do?) At any rate, drawer now easily opens and closes. I will watch for it to become more difficult as time goes on and will add emptying freezer and chipping off sheets of ice to my growing list of things I have to do to accommodate other peoples stupid design flaws.

We recently purchased a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator (Model#RS22HDHPNSR/AA) back in June from hhgregg. According to the date on the inside panel the refrigerator was built sometime in January 2014. We purchased the unit June 2014 and it’s barely six months later and the refrigerator stopped working! That refrigerator wasn’t cheap in price but obviously that wasn’t the case when it came to its assembly. The refrigerator died on us this past Saturday, October 11, 2014 and I put in a repair request online Sunday via the Samsung website. As I had put all the details required to get the process moving, imagine my surprise when those same details were requested yet again when someone finally got around to calling. So once again I sent the information via the website and my personal email. After sending the information again I was under the impression that a repair person would be sent out ASAP to remedy the malfunctioning refrigerator problem but I was wrong. A repair person didnt show up until Thursday October 16, 2014, five days later. Let me reiterate - five days have passed with us being without a working refrigerator. The repairman arrived before 12pm. He proceeded to inform my mother that he was told that if the refrigerator could be repaired he would repair it. He told us that it would take two to four hours to fix the problem. He checked various aspects of the refrigerator and spoke with someone that I assume was a representative of the Samsung company via his company phone and shortly thereafter around 1:15pm, he went outside. We assumed he went to his truck to retrieve the necessary materials or tools to fix the problem and we haven’t seen the repairman since!!! So, not only have we been without a working refrigerator six days but to add insult to injury the person that the company sent out to repair the malfunctioning unit has left us in a lurch without so much as a word!My mother has been on the phone with numerous company reps since Monday and we have yet to have this situation resolved. The last person she spoke with today (10-17-14) said someone would be out Monday. I wont believe it until I see it. I am quite disgusted with Samsung and personally will NEVER purchase product they create.

I purchased a Samsung gas stove in September 2020. In January of 2021 my wife and I noticed that the paint and clear coat was chipping off of the stove. I called Samsung to let them know about the problem and after a week and a half of playing phone tag a representative of the company informed me that the chipping paint is NOT covered under the warranty. Now we purchased the extended warranty and still had PLENTY of warranty left but in order for Samsung to fix the paint chipping we would have to PAY for the work. My recommendation is to NOT buy anything from Samsung unless you would like to pay $1300 for a black stainless steel stove only for it to have a 1” paint chip missing after 4 months.

We have had the Samsung dishwasher about 4 years and this is the 4th time we have had the same trouble. The machine comes on and then you can hear the water going to the washer and then you hear it pumping out. Then the lights come on indicating low water level. According to the owner manual the first it happen it was still in warranty. The repairman came out and replaces a sensor box on the side of the washer. The second time it happen about a year later my husband took the sensor box off and replaced it. It wasnt under warranty. We cant afford to call the repairman. The last time I took everything from the washer and ran a couple cups of vinegar through a cycle and it has worked fine until this time I tried to run the washer again with vinegar but it didnt work. I will never get another Samsung appliance again. We also have a refrigerator that has some problems but thank the Good Lord it still works. The model # for the dishwasher is DMT 400RHSAAX. We bought our dishwasher in Nov of 2013. It worked fine until June of 2016, then it would not run. I called Samsung and told them of the problem, after about one hour on the phone they said they would send a repairman from an authorized repair shop according to them. Two weeks later he came and did a evaluation of the machine and determined that the touch panel circuit board was not working and would order the part. I told him that the dishwasher was out of warranty but Samsung warranty covers the circuit boards for 5 years and we have over 2 years left. The part came to my home and I called dependable services to make arrangements to have it installed. They came out a couple of days later and replaced the new part then tried to charge me 291.65 for the part and the service call after almost a day of figuring out who was going to pay for it.Samsung agreed that it was covered. Because if I had to pay for it I was having the serviceman take it out and forget about it. For that price I could add another couple of hundred dollars and get a new one. Well the machine worked about 3 weeks doing about 15 washes and broke again. Same symptoms. I called dependable services. They came out a couple of days later. Repairman looked somewhere else on machine and decided that it was two relay switches on another circuit board that needed to be replaced. He also tried to get Samsung to replace it and their comment was, We repaired once at our cost we are not doing it twice. The price for this repair was 338.00.Needless to say it was not repaired. I will replace with another brand of dishwasher. This dishwasher replaced a ge brand that came with the new home and never had a problem with except it was noisy. Did a great job of cleaning. I just want everyone to know my problems with Samsung and let buyer beware. I will NOT be buying another Samsung appliance in the future and will tell all my family and friends my story and beg them not to purchase a Samsung appliance product.

Within months of purchasing my RF23J9011SR counter depth 4 door fridge...ice maker stopped working. I defrosted it several times and it did work but you can hear the gear (auger) clicking. Then 1.5 yr later, it completely stopped working. I believe the design is flawed as the ice maker sits in the refrigerator section and not the freezer area. RF267ABRS - My experience leads me to believe that Samsung refrigerators are junk. They look nice but after a few years, you will have problems. It started with the lower part of the refrigerator filling with water that iced up and leaked onto the hardwoods. I kept having to get ice and water out of the fridge, then it stopped (for now). Next, my ice maker chamber stopped cooling. Theres nothing online about how to fix this (that I could find). I called Samsung but if the fridge is not under 1 year old then they tell me they can set me up with maintenance but I have to pay for it. Approx. 4 yrs ago purchased a Samsung French door fridge. Recently the mullion bar became inoperable. After reviewing possible remedies IT became obvious that a new mullion bar had to be purchased. After purchase was made at a cost of $117.74 I tore the replaced bar apart and discovered the culprit to be a spring in the lower part of the bar. This spring could be made for no more than 50 cents at any reasonably priced manufacturer. I assume that the bar is also made by the Samsung corporation so it would be to their financial benefit to develop this spring as cheaply made as it is, so that additional financial gain could be made by their sale of this bar. My advice to any, who are considering purchasing this refrigerator is BUYER BEWARE.

We purchased this dishwasher in April 2015, but did not have it delivered to us until June when our kitchen was completed. The first dishwasher to arrive was damaged. Had a bent door frame so the door would not close. The company we purchased these from (PC Richards) replaced the dishwasher and a new one was sent. In December 2015 and exactly 6 months from when dishwasher was installed it is no longer cleaning the dishes or drying them. We had a tech come out and it was determined that the heating element was bad. We also showed him a broken wheel on the lower rack. Tech said he would order parts. The parts came in and the tech was here to fix the issue. However, the wrong wheels were sent. To this day we are still without the proper wheels. Also, we have had 3 service calls since the new heat element was installed and still dealing with the dishwasher not cleaning or drying the dishes. The tech made a call to Samsung and they did some tests and it showed the dishwasher is functionally normal with no issues. So here we are with a dishwasher that is only 6 months old not working!! We bought a Samsung French Door Stainless Fridge in Set of 2012, from Sears was delivered in October 2012, we did not bring into house till January 2013 due to construction. Since its been used the twin cool has froze food in fridge section, even set at 38. Display has gone dead and more. Multiple repairs with no results. Samsung does not do their own repairs and you wait weeks for repair. We have spent no less than 24 hours on the phone with no results! They say they will buy it back, we wont hold our breath! So be wise and do not buy that brand! Bad news!

I really want to share my bad experience with Samsung Microwave Model ME18H
I really want to share my bad experience with Samsung Microwave Model ME18H704SFS/AC. I wish I would google Samsung microwaves before buying one. I just read report from people who bought microwave in February 2016. I bought mine on May 2, 2016 from Best buy in Vancouver Canada. I also bought 5 years warranty on this microwave. On 28th day after purchasing we tried to warm up bowl of soup (in microwavable dish), and we felt a burning smell coming from microwave. When I opened the door I discovered a fire on the right wall of microwave. I was able to stop the fire with kitchen towel. I cannot operate this microwave any longer because it is a fire hazard in my house.Same day I called to SAMSUNG customer service. They gave a case number and told me that somebody will contact me. Next day I called them again and they transferred me to some kind escalation department. The manager from escalation department said that if he will get pictures and receipt from me now, he will speed up the process. I emailed him pics and have not heard anything after that. On Monday, I called again to customer service. The manager told me that she could not find me in her database, she also said that they were not able to open up my pictures. I told her to transfer me to the escalation department. After 30 min wait I was able to talk to a guy who confirmed receiving pictures. He also was able to open them up. He told me that he sent my case to the Head office. I asked him why nobody sent me a simple email with acknowledgement of receiving my email. He did not have any answer for me. I asked him what is the reasonable time to get an answer from Head office. At the beginning he said 48 hours and then he did not know. He also said that he has no idea what kind outcome I should expect. And just to add to this story... I called to the insurance provider for Best Buy. They told me that they cannot touch my microwave because it is a factory defect which appeared in first 30 days. I am not even upset anymore. This company is a joke. Samsung really needs to get a lesson for producing dangerous and unreliable appliances and treating consumers so poorly. I will wait for 48 hours (legally you have to give them some time to rectify the situation). If Samsung will not replace their lousy microwave I will take this matter to Small Claim Court and I really want to.

In September 2009, I purchased the whole 9 yards of Samsung. I purchased the microwave over the oven, the oven, the dishwasher and the refrigerator - costing me a total of $6000... Last year, I replaced the microwave, and I learned my lesson and purchased the extended warranty. The only OTHER issue I had which is MAJOR and a reason for me to probably bring my business elsewhere, as I will never say never buy Samsung again, is my refrigerator RF266ABRS, 26 cu ft stainless steel French door with the bottom freezer. The first problem I had with the freezer was within the first year I had purchased it - the ice maker was not making ice into cubes but into chunks. They had the technician fix it in no time. Then in March 2013, the freezer was giving us a negative reading of -2; however, when I unplugged the freezer and plugged it back in, it then said 34 degrees. No wonder all my food thawed out and ice was melted. So we called. Samsung said if it’s a sealed system issue, then it will be covered. They set up a transaction number with Va Electronics, who called me and said I had to pay $125 for diagnostics. After kicking my feet, I finally paid, as they could care less. I spoke with the technician as he stated, there is a slow leak causing only my fridge to be cool but not enough to cool the freezer. I asked if the leak should happen again. He said it shouldnt for another 3 years, so okay...I went about my business for 95 days until I opened the freezer to notice all the food had thawed out again!!! So I called Samsung. You name it. I’ve spoken with them, from Krishonda, Boris to Allison. You name it. I’ve spoken to them and every department. Yes, they gave me the roundabout... Hahaha... I was beyond frustrated; I was in tears and handed the phone off to my husband and told him to speak with them. As I was going back and forth with Samsung and Va Electronics, both saying two completely different things and saying, well, ask Samsung and ask Va Electronics... Eventually, someone needs to own up to this defective product that we, as consumers, are initially paying anywhere from $1900 to $3000 to begin with. It makes you think twice when it is time to purchase a new one. Overall, the experience I am dealing with Samsung and Va electronics is leaving a bad taste in my mouth, but it makes me grateful to know that, compared to their customer service, I am like a GOD at what I do. Thanks for doing a bad job. :)

Purchased a Samsung RF263BEAESR/AA french door fridge. 09/21/12 started having issues with the refrigerator. Coils freezing causing the twin cooling fans to hit the ice and make loud noises. It woke me up and was so loud I thought someone was breaking into my house. Of course it was just after the warranty expired and I paid them approx $150 to come out replace a Defrost Sensor, Evaporator Cover, and Drain Kit. The service guy called Samsung and strongly said they should pay for the parts (I felt he knew there are ongoing issues with their fridges and felt bad for me) and they did (parts are cheap). The other issue was the ice maker. The unit is not sealed properly causing warm air from the fridge to enter the ice maker and it freezes up eventually ice cant dump in tray because of the ice build up.They are now making the ice maker sealed up tight because my neighbor has a newer model which 1 year old and I took a peek, no ice build up. They used silicone seal yet one year later same problem so it must be coming in from rear and cant be fixed. I have been removing the ice box and taking a blow dryer once every 2 weeks to melt it. So, I called Samsung 04/07/17 and was trying to get parts to fix the twin cooling fan ice issues after watching YouTube videos and they couldnt give me part #s. Referred me to www.samsungparts.com which is not their company but is approved to sell parts. I told Samsung, I had just got off the phone with them and they gave me your # which is technical support (1.855.726.8721) now youre sending me back to them?I then told her my cooling fan issue, and ice maker issue, how upset and disappointed I was in their product, and that I have a fridge/freezer in my garage that is 16 yrs old and never had a service issue. She told me, We can send a service technician to look at the issue and possibly replace it. I said, You mean charge me? She stated, NO replace it??? I asked her if this was a late April Fools joke. She said, NO... I stated, Does this have something to do with a class action lawsuit I have read about. She didnt answer, but did at the same time... So, I am waiting for the service company to call and schedule an appt. If they decide that the issues I told them are verified I may be getting a new fridge, which is a shocker. The other thing I found out when talking to her she asked in regards to ice build up behind the twin cooling fans, Were the white wheels to the front and bottom of your fridge touching the ground? I stated, Yes. She stated they should not be touching and the fridge needs to be raised tilting back and that when delivered they (Best Buy) should of leveled the refrigerator for me... So Best Buy didnt do it, and neither did the service tech I paid a $150 either. She sent me an e-mail showing a do it yourself How to Level the Refrigerator. So if you are having this issue check it out. May save you a service charge. To melt the ice you need to empty your fridge/freezer for at least 24 hours and tilt it back. May solve the problem. I am leaving mine alone for now hoping for a new fridge... Good Luck.

We bought a $2500 digital four-door refrigerator from Samsung (model RM255LASH-XAA; serial number 40504043EP100202-Z) through Lowes four years ago. Not a year later, we had trouble with the ice-maker. Luckily, it’s under warranty and we had a tech out to replace it. Again, the same thing happened a year later. This year, 2012, we noticed a leak underneath which caused a puddle on the floor beneath the refrigerator. It’s out of warranty. We called a technician ($100). After extensive search, we found out that it was the defrosting system. It was not working and we needed a new complete defrosting system ($500) as Samsung didn’t replace the heating part alone. We will manually have to defrost it ourselves in the future, which is ridiculous (back to the stone age). We did not want to put a dime more into such an expensive appliance. We will not trust Samsung again for purchasing.

After we bought it, we had to defrost every 4 months. Ice builds up on behind the refrigerator part. We had to take the cover off and de-ice. It made loud noises, smelled like chemical (like gas) every time you open the door. The tech said to put baking soda in it for 48 hours. Please, Im not stupid. We ordered a new fan motor for it off eBay for $40.00 and a new water filter for $35. Now, we wont need it because we will probably go buy a new one. Samsung is junk. Dont buy one! I couldnt believe all the bad reviews. I wish I had seen this first. The fridge should last 15-20 years. Our other cheapies were better than this $2,000.00 unit!

We remodeled our entire kitchen - floor to ceiling. We went to get appliances from Lowes. I liked the looks of all the Samsung, and the blue lights. We have had nothing but problems with the dishwasher. It been repaired 5 times already. One repairman came to fix and ran the dishwasher to hear noise and dumped dishwasher all over my floors and they needed towels to clean up the mess. The worst part was it went down into the vents and we couldn’t get it out. So when the heat comes on, it smells bad. They called last week when we had an appt. to look again. They cancelled the appt. after 6pm and before we had 2 calls saying they were coming. They totally inconvenienced us. Where is the point when someone says youve gone through too much and get a recall on this item or Samsung step up and say we will just replace the item?

I researched the same problem other people had so I could try to fix the problem. We purchased this microwave (SMH1987ST) in July 2010 and never had a problem until a month ago. The microwave would just come on by itself randomly, usually in Baked Potato mode. Only opening the door would shut it off. It was terrifying because I had no confidence in leaving home or sleeping at night with it plugged in. I googled this issue and found common complaints of the same nature on many different forums, a good bit of them here. I then called Samsungs customer service line and got the run-around that it was no longer under warranty and theyd send a tech but it was on me. I then posted on their Facebook page with the issue and was told to call back and ask for the Executive Customer Service team. When I did, I got a little pushback on being put through to them but eventually was. I told the Exec team representative the issue, that they knew about it and that there were over 300 complaints on this website alone. That seemed to get their attention. They sent out a tech last week, he ordered the part and came back today and installed a new control board free of charge. He did say he frequently sees this same issue or the one where people get the dreaded SE message and the microwave panel doesnt work at all. My advice is to be firm and use social media to get their attention. They WILL make it right when pressed to do so. I never would have pursued it further had I not seen other posters say that asking for their Legal Dept. or mentioning the bad reviews got them satisfaction.

We purchased a $2,172.96 Samsung French Door Refrigerator, model number RF4287HARS in January 2014 from Best Buy. From the beginning, when the cooling motor came on it was noisy and irritating. The ice maker was very noisy. The clincher was after 16 months, the molding on the door split and tore. We have owned multiple lesser expensive Refrigerators but never had the molding rip. We contacted Best Buy who referred us to Pacific Sales who sells in the Best Buy store. They wanted $200 to replace the molding stating that there was a 1 year warranty on parts. Contacted Samsung who was cold and clinical verifying that we only had a one year warranty. Would never buy another Samsung refrigerator. This one was a top of the line unit and we want to warn others.

We purchased our Samsung refrigerator 4 years ago as new homeowners. Towards the beginning of July this year, we started having issues with the freezer not keeping things frozen - ice cream melting, meat thawing, etc. After trying the recommendations in the manual and unplugging it to reset it per Samsung, it seemed like our problem was fixed... for about a week. So I called Samsung again. On July 21, a technician from one of their service centers, MidAmerica, came out and discovered our sealed refrigeration system was leaking (evaporator & compressor - attached is a picture of the evaporator; all the coils are supposed to be covered in ice and only the top one of ours is due to the loss of coolant)... he also informed us that the sealed refrigeration system was still under warranty (5 year warranty stated in manual). However, he couldnt fix it because he supposedly just moved to our state and didnt have the insurance/licensure to carry the parts... a little fishy, but he said we should be able to call Samsung and they will find a trained technician to fix it. Turns out - Samsung has no trained technicians for sealed refrigeration systems in our area, so they told us to find our own and they will reimburse us but only if the technician we found diagnosed the same problem... okay? So we call Mr. Appliance and they were fantastic! They came out on 7/30. They diagnosed the SAME problem but stated it would be over $2000 to fix it. They also informed us it was probably only a matter of time until our fresh food side stopped keeping things cool too. We were shocked. The refrigerator did not even cost that much to begin with and we also dont have $2000 lying around. So I contact Samsung again, spoke with a girl named Brady. I offered to email her the quote as well as our proof of purchase to show that it seemed ridiculous that we were going to repair a refrigerator under a manufacturers warranty for more than it was worth when we bought it. She put me on hold for a brief moment and came back to say we just needed to pay it and Samsung would reimburse us (mind you, there has never been anything in writing stating they would reimburse us... theyre expecting us to just go on their word). Refused to let me email the quote to them and also refused to let me speak to a supervisor about the issue. She stated a supervisor would email me... which never happened. In the meantime, we called Mr. Appliance about ordering the parts and they stated it would probably take over a month to get the compressor from Samsung... so my fiance calls Samsung to inform them of this. In our minds, it should not take a month (possibly longer) to get a warranty issue fixed! Asks to speak to a supervisor, on the phone for over an hour and talks to three separate people who are not supervisors and just keep saying its their policy to have us pay this exorbitant amount of money and expect them to reimburse us. We suggested that they just replace the refrigerator - they keep indirectly saying they will find a way to get the issue resolved. They say a supervisor will call us back in 24-48 hours... we wait 3 business days and havent heard anything, so I call them on 8/6. I spoke with Michael, who was very nice and genuinely seemed shocked that it was taking this long to get this fixed. He actually wanted me to email him the receipts and proof of purchase unlike Brady and stated they would be calling Mr. Appliance since they were the only people who said they could truly fix it. We were relieved. This was short-lived however because the next day they assign our ticket to MidAmerica AGAIN and some other local company (J&D) who had already told us they dont have someone trained in sealed refrigeration systems. By this time, I am irate. I call again and tell them to refer to the images of the receipts I sent, associated with the ticket number from my phone call on 8/6 with Michael. Gregory tells me there are no images with that ticket number. I felt like I was going crazy! These people are ridiculous. They are like robots every time you call - there is no history of ongoing issues, they close ticket numbers before the problem is resolved and just open a new one every time. They give you the run-around and obviously no one truly cares about resolving your problem. I submitted the images again and am still waiting on another phone call. If this product wasnt still under a manufacturers warranty, I wouldve been done weeks ago. It has affected our quality of life from the stress and time weve put into this and weve spent more money than anticipated on going out to eat and frequent grocery trips for fresh food. I feel defeated. I wish there was a no star option. It is somewhat comforting to see that so many other people have had issues with their Samsung refrigerators, as well as their customer service department, but also so unfortunate. I would NOT recommend any of their products to anyone at this point. I would never want anyone else to go through this like we have. Please consider this review (I know its long - sorry! ), as well as all the others, before purchasing a Samsung product.

I preferred to select 0 stars but that is not an option. I purchased a bottom freezer fridge on 7/26/2007, Model RB195BSSW. For several days, the freezer isnt working properly and the fridge isnt cooling sufficiently. This morning, a Best Buy technician came out to troubleshoot and determined the circuit board needs replacing. I called Samsung since the fridge is less than 5 years old. No help, the person on the phone just kept telling me I could go through Best Buy to fix the issue or have Samsung come out at my additional expense. This is unacceptable for a product that is less than 5 years old. Ive purchased many Samsung products in the past - TV, cellphones and never (knock on wood) have had an issue. I am very disappointed in their product and lack of service.

One in PA and the other also same distance in MD. We live in MD. Even though we turned ice maker off noise continued. We called someone local and came out next day. Said the seal and ice maker were the problem & ice getting stuck. After $98 for service call it started all over again. Called our local company again. They said Samsung has a 3 week back order for the parts. Hmmm the next visit to fix with labor & parts $325. I just dealt with Samsung with their washing machine recall 3 or 4 months ago. Now this.

Ive come from a string of GE refrigerators that always seemed to disappoint me in one way or another. Most of the problems were related to not holding the desired temperature in both refrigerator and freezer compartments. I also experienced problems with excess moisture in the freezer compartment and ice makers/ice water dispensers that never worked properly. The water dispenser always froze up unless I raised the temperature to an unsafe level. Very poor design. The Samsung French door unit has worked perfectly for about 1 1/2 years, but it does make a lot of strange noises. So far this appears to be a quality unit that works as expected.

As of today samsung informed me that the part is now in and they are not going to put in a request for the food loss, or replacement. All their customer representatives did for the month was blow smoke up my butt and lie to me about what they were going to do for this issue. I will never buy samsung again with the issues that I have had to encounter from the customer service center at samsung. They do not honor what they say to you...

Bought a Samsung dishwasher from Best Buy and had installed late Jan 2014.
Bought a Samsung dishwasher from Best Buy and had installed late Jan 2014. Once installed had service come out to the house FOUR (4) times to repair. Would just stop working. It never cleaned that well. Glasses always came out dirty. So here we are AGAIN, the dishwasher has stopped working but because we are now over a year they say our warranty is out and refuse to fix it. If you buy a brand new product and within the first year need service 4 times, dont you think there is an issue? And its convenient that the last time they came out they said if we needed service again they would just replace it... Its pathetic Samsung does not stand behind their products. But I guess they really dont want to because its crap. And in my opinion, my warranty shouldve started over every time they had to come out and repair it.

I really enjoyed my Samsung except I do believe that part of my issue is it
I really enjoyed my Samsung except I do believe that part of my issue is its a side-by-side with a French door and I dont have that much room on the side by side part. The freezer down below works great and the extra drawer I love. One big issue Ive had is with the ice maker. It does not seem to make ice well and when it does make ice theyre small.

Remodeled kitchen at the Shore. Bought Samsung Refrigerator and dishwasher.
Remodeled kitchen at the Shore. Bought Samsung Refrigerator and dishwasher. After reading Consumer report. Right off the bat dishes were always wet, never dried, had to hand dry. Called Samsung and was told to turn my hot water heater up and use on sanitize and heavy load settings. (This is great way to save energy.) This really did not accomplish much. Dishes still wet, still had to be dried by hand. This dishwasher is only used on weekends in the summer maybe at most it was used 20 times the first year. Second summer by 4th of July used around 6 times and a grinding noise started. Not all the time but at end of cycle. Called repair person (independent) 4 people refused to work on Samsung. I found one repair person who I paid $200 dollars to come and he told me I needed a new motor, which would be upward of $300. Washed the dishes for the remainder of that year. Third summer, called Sears, got a service contract for all products purchased from them, $300. Sears came and replaced pump, and said there was lots of plastic rack clips in pump, we counted 4. I never raise or lower the rack. The clips broke from just simply pulling it out and pushing it back. I was instructed to do this gently. That was 4 weeks ago. SE light came on and dishwasher stopped, after at tops 6 uses and gently moving the rack back and forth running hot water for 3-4 min. until very hot before turning on dishwasher at heavy and sanitize load. After a two week wait for service and another week for parts Sears is scheduled to come and replace pump and motor and all the rack clips. This will still be under my repair agreement with Sears (thank Goodness). So far my 3 year old Samsung DMR78DHS $800 plus delivery and installation has cost me $500. That is $1300. divided by the times used 30 = $43.33 each times it has been used. WOW!!! Not counting energy cost. I have no expectation that this scheduled repair will last. I hope it will until the end of summer and I will plan on buying a new dishwasher. I will under no circumstance buy another Samsung product. I wouldnt pay sales tax on another Samsung product if they gave me one. Not worth the trouble.

Bought our Samsung RF23J9011SR/AA refrigerator approximately one year ago.
Bought our Samsung RF23J9011SR/AA refrigerator approximately one year ago. Ice maker malfunctioned. Samsung seemed familiar with the problem. The repairman mentioned a design flaw with regard to the small fan. They did quickly repair the problem for hundreds of dollars. It seems to me if they knew of the design flaw they should make the adjustments at their cost.

Updated on 09/27/2019: 4 Broken Ice Makers in 7 years. I have a side-by-sid
Updated on 09/27/2019: 4 Broken Ice Makers in 7 years. I have a side-by-side RSG307AARS Samsung refrigerator with 29.6 cu. ft. I purchased in July 2012. The ice maker has broken 4 times. The sensor that controls the paddle arm that ejects the ice cubes has failed each time. The first time it broke, Samsung paid as it was still under warranty. The second time being out of warranty, I paid $400, including parts and labor to replace. The third time I paid for labor only. This latest time Samsung says I have to pay all. Ive contacted their CEO through Email and phone to make them realize that the ice maker and subsequent ice makers have a defective sensor and like an automobile should be recalled and repaired at their expense with a sensor that wont break every year and a half. They refuse. I will never buy a Samsung product again; from what Ive read on the Internet, their refrigerators are the worst. Should have done my homework better 7 years ago. Let that be a warning. I have finally decided to junk it and Wednesday went to Lowes and bought a Whirlpool on sale with an extended 5 year warranty. And, if I never use the warranty, I get money refunded. Whats the chance of that?Original Review: Purchased refrigerator (RSG307AARS) Jul. 2012. Ice maker stopped making ice Oct. 2012. Repairman had to replace the ice maker and 2 circuit boards; this repair was warranted. Per repairman, this was a known issue with Samsung. Feb. 2015 ice maker stopped making ice again; the lever under the ice maker cover thats supposed to come down after each round of ice cubes are dumped into the bucket and sense if more ice should be made stopped working. Repairman determines the ice maker needs to be replaced again. The gears for the same lever are broken. Called Samsung, even talked to a supervisor (maybe). Samsungs bottom line - its out of warranty so they wont do anything to keep me as a future customer. My bottom line - I wont buy another Samsung product.

Samsung OTR Microwave model SMH 1816S - Long story short, Samsung continues
Samsung OTR Microwave model SMH 1816S - Long story short, Samsung continues to produce defective Over The Range Microwaves that fail in the first two years due to steam from cooking on the range. Then refuse to acknowledge there is a problem, meanwhile making a fortune off replacement parts. This is why we need to ban the sale of their products in the US. P.S. If you want to make money off a class action lawsuit, I want nothing for myself but will sign on so the lawyers can get rich.

I purchased a Samsung 4-door refrigerator because I thought I was stepping
I purchased a Samsung 4-door refrigerator because I thought I was stepping up the quality for a refrigerator. The unit worked well for the first 13 months, then the ice maker would suddenly stop producing ice for no reason. I waited a day or two and the ice maker started working again. A few months later, I notice water on the floor of my kitchen. I thought my children spilled something. Then my son notice water dripping into the basement ceiling under the refrigerator. I looked more closely and the refrigerator was dripping water. My plumber guided me on shutting off the water to the refrigerator to limit the water damage. A technician came out a week later and took many pictures and troubleshoot the problem. Upon removing the drawers I noticed what was causing yet a second problem and that was a sheet of ice had formed underneath the fourth drawer, turning that drawer into a virtual freezer regardless of what temperature setting.Samsung initially said they would reimburse for the purchase of the refrigerator. I thought that was a relief, for obviously I had a lemon and they knew it. Everything was quiet for four days and when I checked back again the reimbursement had been cancelled. I received NO call, email or anything. Then I insisted if they were to fix the problem they should resolve the freezing of food in the fourth drawer as well as the leaking refrigerator. Then the reimbursement was pushed through again. Then 3 days later, after I received no email. Everything was cancelled, the reimbursement and the repair. So I am a consumer and I typically have refrigerators to just hang out for years. The Samsung refrigerators have gimmicks that work for a minute and then fail and they are very expensive. I would not recommend Samsung refrigerators. Their phones and tablets yes; refrigerators NO! Stick with a manufacturer thats been producing refrigerators for longer than 20 years.

We were excited to buy our Samsung fridge. It looked nice, was spacious, LE
We were excited to buy our Samsung fridge. It looked nice, was spacious, LED lighting, and more. But we have had a lot of problems with the freezer, and so far, it has not been fully addressed. We have lost food, Samsung repair has been out 2 times, replaced 3 different parts, insulted us on the phone - and yet the freezer still has problems. When this first started, we did not realize the freezer was building up ice on the back of the drawer; this area is not visible. Ice was apparently also building up on the rails. So the freezer had trouble closing, and at some point it stayed open about 1/8 for a few days and we lost all our food. We had no idea this was happening. We had Samsung repair come out and they replaced 2 parts. It is a long story, but we were initially led to believe we would get reimbursed for our food loss; not only did Samsung refuse to do that, but a Samsung employee actually called us, and blamed us. Apparently that person was unaware that Samsungs own repair people had replaced two different parts. Blaming us is an attempt at intimidation, to avoid paying the reimbursement. We have this call recorded on voice mail as well. We had no freezer at all for a whole MONTH - for the Samsung repair process - but I do not get the feeling from anyone I have talked to that Samsung cares about this. And the repair did not fully work. Our problems continue, and we can hear ice dropping. A Samsung employee told us there were no complaints about our model at all, which is hard to believe because when we had Samsung repair come out again, the repairman said there was an actual Service Bulletin out on our model. He replaced another part, so that is 3 different parts replaced. Yet, after this 3rd part was replaced, our freezer continues to drop ice. From extensive observation, it seems likely to me that this is a design problem, for Samsung lower-drawer freezers that have ice cubes in the lower drawer. They overfill the container and fall out of the back. And this is not just my opinion - that the design is at fault - one of the repairmen also talked about this.So its been close to a year now that we have had freezer problems. The way Samsung has treated us - trying to blame us for this, and refusing for a long time to reimburse our food loss - has left us very unhappy with Samsung. They finally did reimburse us recently but only after we went to Twitter, LinkedIn, and other places. We are posting on social media (and on this website) because we want people to know what our experience is. Samsung did not have to treat us this way. I have even started a website also about this, and it has a blog too at: **. I suppose Samsung repair could come out yet again - but if its a defective design, then there is nothing that a repairman can do.Since Samsung seems unable (or unwilling) to help us get this resolved, we will at some point just sell this thing, at a big loss no doubt, and find some other brand of refrigerator. If you want to avoid what we have gone through, I recommend you do NOT buy a Samsung refrigerator - or any other Samsung products, if their customer service in other products is as bad as this!

We purchased our fridge Jan 2014 and at first happy with it. Year and a half later the noise started. I could see through the small holes on the inside back, it was frozen over. Ice was coming through the small holes. The noise was awful. Then it quit cooling and the top ice maker quit. Repairman said it had frozen up and the fan that blows the cold air out into the fridge had gone out. The ice maker had quit because it also was frozen over. He took the ice maker drawer out and it was a solid sheet of ice. He thawed it out and it began working again. Not sure for how long. He told me this was a bad problem and it wasnt worth replacing if it didnt start back working after being thawed. Fortunately it did begin making ice again. I guess in the future I will just thaw the ice maker out when it quits again. He ordered another fan, and as a note it was on back order and it took them from Oct to Jan for the part to come in. Now a month later the noise has started again. So I will be calling a repairman again. Not sure what he will say this time. I would not recommend anyone buying a Samsung refrigerator. My brother had bought this same fridge around the same time I did, and it has done the same thing with them. Terrible noise and replacing the fan. His ice maker has gone out 3 times and they have replaced it each time. Why would they continue making this piece of junk? I cant believe I paid 2000 for such this crap. Stay away from Samsung refrigerators model RF28HFEDTSR/AA.

I purchased a Samsung 24.73 ft 4 door French door refrigerator Model #RF25H
I purchased a Samsung 24.73 ft 4 door French door refrigerator Model #RF25HMEDBSR in August of 2017. Not sure how long I had it when the ice maker started freezing up and had to be defrosted with a BAIRD dryer. Called for repair the first time in February of 2018. They replaced the entire ice maker, however it started freezing up again. Repair sent out again on May 14, 2018. The technician tells me the entire refrigerator need to be replaced and someone will call me within 24-48 hours. No call, I call Samsung and I am told, WE DONT CALL you, I am told to submit receipts and someone will contact me. I submit my receipts and receive a phone call on the 22 of May to send a better picture of the receipt.May 23rd I received an email stating the exchange has been approved and someone from the Lowes where I purchased it should give me a call within 5 business days. 5 days later no call. May 31st. I call Samsung, they tell me the exchange is finished on their end and I need to contact the local Lowes. Call Lowes, they have not received the RMA (return merchandise authorization). I provide the number and they contact Samsung to request it be sent again. June 1st - Lowes calls, RMA received. They are required to come and pick up the refrigerator, refund it then they can order the new one... I call Samsung, and explain how I am not ok with this, The bottom line is, they don’t care. The angel in this scenario is Jessica (and Dianne) assistant manager at Lowes in Santa Clarita California. She is willing to order the replacement without having the old unit back. Because its a special order will take 10 days to get to the store. That puts me at the 14th of June, almost exactly 1 month from the date of my 2nd repair and the day I get on a plane to go to Europe for 2 weeks. Here’s the Bottom line, Samsung did nothing to make this an easy process and they don’t care. I just stumbled on this site and can see this is a known issue and they have done nothing to fix the problem. During manufacturing or after the units were purchased.

We will NEVER buy Samsung again! We purchased a Samsung refrigerator (RF261BEAEWW) in December 2016 and the unit stopped working in April 2018. Samsung initially informed us that the refrigerator was not repairable and asked for us to submit our receipt for replacement or refund. After submitting our receipt we were then informed Samsung needed more pictures of the refrigerator. They told us that the damage was corroded lines due to sulfur in the air. We have never had a problem with sulfur in our home. They said this is an environmental issue and not covered under warranty. The repair company even said that it is unusual to see this corrosion so soon and in our direct area. The lines on the refrigerator should have never corroded that bad in 15 months. We have never had a problem with corrosion on things we have had for years. Even with this information Samsung said they are standing by their claim and will do nothing to help us. We now have a 15 month old piece of junk Samsung refrigerator.

RF28HFEDBSR/AA: The ice maker worked good for about a year. After a year ice maker freezes up and ice cubes clogs up. This happens at least once a month. Then it takes 3/4 days to unclog. We had new ice maker put in but it didnt help. Its a beautiful refrigerator - too bad it doesnt have a good ice maker. There needs to be a recall.
