We purchased a Samsung 4 Door Flex 2.5 months ago. I’ve had to defrost the ice maker at least 4 times so far with hot water and a blow dryer. Took 5 cups of hot water to dislodge all of the ice. There is no way to fix this design flaw and if Samsung tells you otherwise don’t believe them.

We remodeled our kitchen and purchased an electric Samsung stove with warming drawer from H.H. Gregg. This oven was $1500 and it was supposed to work as a double oven because it has a metal divider and dual controls for upper and lower ovens or you can remove the divider and use as one large oven. I was so excited to basically have 2 ovens, plus a warmer. It never baked well from the very beginning. I would preheat the oven, but it would never cook at that temperature. It was always 50-75 degrees below what it was set for. It was under warranty so I called Samsung. They wanted ME to troubleshoot and calibrate the oven, which I did following their instructions. Nothing helped. I called Samsung four times and finally got them to arrange for a licensed local tech to come fix the problem. He replaced everything he could find and it still doesnt work. The oven is awful and Samsung customer service is just as awful. They read responses from a card and do not listen to anything you are trying to tell them. I really wish I had read other reviews before I ever bought it. It is still under warranty with H.H. Gregg, so now it is their problem, and mine.

In September 2017, we purchased the top of the line Samsung dishwasher at Home Depot thinking it would be the last dishwasher we retirees would buy. Unfortunately I can’t tell you the model because my husband threw the manual and paperwork away in disgust three weeks ago when, after two years and four months we sent the dishwasher to the dump. It needed a new pump and the repair would be so expensive we might as well buy a new one. Our model had the storm surge feature, if that helps identify it. Also, the racks were starting to rust. The clean was not as good as the Whirlpool we replaced it with for half the price. We also bought a refrigerator at the same time. We’re attempting to join a class action suit because the ice maker leaks and the ice compartment freezes into a solid block and Samsung refuses to acknowledge the problem. I’ve learned that Samsung, LG, and even some GE appliances use the same inferior parts. I bought Whirlpool because that’s what the repairman owns. But I bought a Lowe’s 5 year warranty on my $326 dishwasher (sale price) so that I’m covered. I distrust the company warranties and their planned obsolescence. Start talking to your friends and associates, I’ve found three others disgruntled with their Samsung appliances. Personally, I would pay a small fortune for an appliance with parts and manufacture in the USA. I’m old enough to know major appliances that lasted 30 years and more. Remember when Made in the USA was a guarantee of quality? Not assembled in the USA with parts made in Mexico or China. Thank you for allowing me to vent, and please don’t buy Samsung.

Samsung RF263 French Door Refrigerator - It is an expensive piece of garbag
Samsung RF263 French Door Refrigerator - It is an expensive piece of garbage. The ice maker started frosting up like a freezer from the 50s/60s a little over a year after purchase. The door bins are cracked and held together with duct tape. Now it has stopped cooling completely. After reading and trying to determine the root cause, it is clear that Samsung makes inferior refrigerators, the number of complaints are incredible. Lets not forget about their washing machines blowing up as well. Maybe, as one reviewer state, its time for a class action suit. I m sure consumers initially thought purchasing a Samsung refrigerator would be a good, safe, reliable purchase, evidently a lot of us were totally wrong and subsequently disappointed.

In addition, the ice maker completely broke into pieces. I have a repair guy coming today. If this costs from than $200 I will just replace the fridge. I may replace it anyway. I bought model number rf263besr serial jkj44bbaesr side by side Samsung refrigerator. I had a complete disaster for my Christmas day celebration. I am informing the consumer that I tried to get a refund on my money from Samsung refund department claims for the food that was spoiled in my Samsung refrigerator this past Christmas. I ask to speak to a supervisor about this matter. They refused to put me with that contact and forced me for herself to handle the problem and forced me to have a technician come out. I have had a default ice maker (I assumed because I never did get a technician from PC Richards) and coolant problem arise recently, and to add a 400 dollar grocery bill that had to be put into the garbage on Christmas Day. Please see class action lawsuit from the complaints as well dating back to 2006.

Two years after purchasing the dishwasher at Best Buy it stopped running with lE error. Set up a repair with Samsung but their local repair (Lake Electronics) did not have the insurance required by my condo. Then called another repair service and was told they had stopped repairing Samsung appliances because it was too difficult to work with the company. A third company diagnosed a broken temperature sensor, apparently a common problem The parts had to be ordered. It has been two weeks and they are not here and no information on when the repairs will occur.

Problems since first day... We purchased all our new appliances for our new
Problems since first day... We purchased all our new appliances for our new home to be delivered Feb. 28, 2014. We are very happy with the fridge, washer, dryer. Not so happy with the over the stove microwave as it does not seem to pull in the steam at all and it goes all over the front of the cupboards and underneath as well. And steam drips down the tiled backsplash. The dishwasher is a whole other story. The young fellow brings it in and installs it. While testing it water flooded out the bottom of it. He tried several things but could not figure it out. He called his office and told them the problem and they said they would send out another dishwasher the next day. He then leaves. I go downstairs to get something from the freezer and there is water all over the floor at the bottom of the stairs. I call the store and he comes back. I asked him why he would leave when he knew there was a problem. He had forgot to connect something so he fixed it and returned the next day with another dishwasher. This is number 2... So he does all the connections and lo and behold, water comes spewing out the bottom again! He did try to conquer the problem but to no avail. He called and told the girl at the office about it and they said they would send out another one. This is all in the first week of us supposedly trying to enjoy moving into our new home. So a few days go by and along comes dishwasher number three with two fellows to install it. One does all the work while the other one just lolls around on my new engineered hardwood floor. I wanted to scream!! I was afraid by the time this was figured out I would have a whole lot of marks on the floor. They were here for over two hours and yet again it leaked. Really?? I called the appliance store and complained non-stop like a lunatic because of frustration and to get right down to it, anger. They suggested that I try to pick out a different line of dishwasher. I said I wanted the one that matched all the other appliances. Would they be willing to trade them all out? Well, of course not. So yet again along comes dishwasher number 4 with yet another installer. He installed it and did a quick test and yay! It didnt leak. The next day, water on the floor. In the meantime, I am back at work and have to arrange these visits with repairmen for before I start work at 4 in the afternoon. So, I call the appliance store and rant again. They make an appointment for me with one of the salespeople at a different location. We purchased from a large retailer on 149 Street, Edmonton. They sent us to the 47 Avenue one which is a fair distance from where we live. We went in and it seemed like the salesperson felt we were being unreasonable. I asked him if this kind of product and service would make him happy and would he like it if his time was taken up with this. Long and short, he tried to get us to change to another line and we said no. So he said he would give us $200 off. Big deal. But it was better than nothing. They said they had never had this kind of problem before, so we said lucky us, being the one off. So again back to a number of visits from a serviceman. We were told that maybe our water temperature was too high and this was causing a problem. The temperature of our water was lower than what it gets to on the sanitize cycle by 35 degrees so that seems to be a load of you know what. Then he said it was this part at the front of the dishwasher so he replaced that. Still leaking. I give up and just keep putting a dishtowel under it to catch the leaks and save the hardwood floor. Three years go by (not quite) and now besides the leak it stops draining on occasion and the OE light comes on. I call another repair place that services Samsung products. The guy comes out and says that he needs to replace a part so we do that. He sets up a test and promptly leaves. It hits the rinse cycle and water comes spewing out the bottom again but it did drain. Call them back and have to wait a couple of weeks and he comes out and did something to it and said if there were any problems to call them after Christmas because they would now be closed until after the New Year. Yay!! The third visit he comes out to repair it and now the stupid thing will not do anything. It will not fill even at the beginning to start the leaking process or the OE light to come on, just sits there. I do feel for him as he seems to be a very nice man but now he is waiting to hear back from the Samsung technical help desk to get back to him with some things to try. He tried to replace the circuit panel, but the new one did the same thing as the old. He got out some manual and tried to do some troubleshooting and nothing happened. He checked the pump but that was ok. He checked the overflow sensors and they were fine. Before he came out for the third time I ran it through five cycles. On the normal cycle it did what it was supposed to do and no leaking. Same with the Heavy cycle and Delicate. Did the Quick cycle and it leaked but it did empty. On the Pots and Pans the OE light came on and it did not drain and it leaked. After he tried all he could think to try on the last (third) visit it wont do anything but the lights do come on, just no action. I thought I could just go back to putting the towel on the floor and maybe have to try draining it manually or with some luck maybe it would work when I held down the drain button (sometimes it did and sometimes, no). So here we are with the mother of all dishwashers that looks nice but is totally useless. And I get the distinct pleasure of washing dishes. I dont mind doing that when I feel like it but not all the time because I have to. We will wait now to see if Samsung tech came up with anything for our poor repairman. If not we will ask for our money back on the repair that was useless and go buy a dishwasher from a reputable appliance store from reputable salesperson after doing a lot of research to find out what one would be the most... reputable and reliable. Because we know now for sure that it is not Samsung and we did not care for the service from the place we purchased from originally.

We have a 3 door French door refrigerator with the ice maker in the top and bottom (thru the door dispenser). We have had it for 5-6 years and a few months after buying it it stopping producing full pieces of ice, and the ice it dispenses is all broken. This has always been frustrating but I have learned to deal with it. Then shortly after the warranty expired, it stopped making ice and it appears to just be freezing over. The ice bucket keeps freezing over making it difficult to remove it and defrost, Then, I was no longer able to remove the ice bucket. I called about getting it repaired and the cost was very high and they could not warrant the repair due to this being an issue. I had called Samsung about this and at the time they told me there was no issues reported with the ice maker. I have contacted other repair companies and they wont even work on them since they know it wont stay working. Samsung has been useless in resolving this and they know it is a major defect in their product. I spent almost $3000.00 for this piece of junk. Never again will I buy a Samsung appliance!!

I have bought Samsung French door refrigerator RF260BEAEWW in 2013.. It came defective since the freezer compartment never started freezing. The store took it back and delivered a new one. I had purchased 5 years warranty on it. And guess what, it is 5 years and 7 months and it broke down. The freezer quit freezing and refrigerator compartment doesnt keep cool temperatures well either. It did work 5 years that they guaranteed, but I would expect this big and expensive items should work longer and not break down right after warranty was over. My older refrigerator is 15 y.o and working just fine without a blip.I called Samsung and created a repair case. I decided to endure the repair cost than to buy a new one. I was too optimistic. Three days later Samsung called back saying that they are closing my case because ‘they don’t have repair technicians’ in my area!!! Just like that.. ‘It’s out of warranty, it’s in the area we don’t serve – so we are closing the case’, and it’s your problem now. I will never buy a Samsung refrigerator ever again.

I am having the same freezer issue with my 2 1/2 year old Samsung refrigerator! This is ridiculous! I replaced my 14 year old GE Profile refrigerator with this one! I never had an issue with my GE and Ive had nothing but issues with my Samsung appliances. A couple of months ago, the dryer had an electrical (NOT lint) fire so I had to buy another dryer and chose to replace my Samsung washer same time...and they were only 4 years old. I called customer service and she asked Anyone hurt or was there property damage? When I said no, thankfully I was at home and unplugged it before the fire trucks got there... she said... sorry. Your 4 year old dryer is out of warranty! She wanted to document any damage in case there would be a lawsuit. I dont care if its out of warranty or not... NO appliance should catch on fire. I dont care how old it is! Now... my freezer is not working and I lost all my frozen food. I called Samsung last night when I discovered it and she tried a couple of things with me then referred me to a dealer that is 2 hours away! They need to own it and take responsibility by providing recalls/repairs. I will never buy another Samsung appliance again! Samsung does NOT stand by their products. Period.

Purchased this refrigerator in 6/2011. In March of 2013, a problem started with the water dripping into the vegetable bin & under it (one side only). Reported the problem to Samsung and an order for repair was submitted. There were two subsequent visits within a two month period by the same repairman but whatever adjustments and parts that he replaced, the problem has not been solved. I called Samsung and since I did not purchase the Extended Warranty, they would not pursue this any further. They did ask if I wanted to purchase the Warranty now. I refused. Since I have reviewed the issues of other consumers, I feel that Samsung should review and investigate this problem and repair or replace whatever is necessary to resolve this matter.

Whenever we were in the market to replace our appliances, I always looked to Samsung first. We have 4 Samsung TVs, a refrigerator, 4 smartphones, Blu-Ray player and a washing machine and we love them all. That was until I had the misfortune of purchasing an over the range microwave. Here youve read all the stories about these microwaves and their failure on sensor errors just after the warranty expires. Its a poorly designed product that fails due to the humidity created when cooking on the stove. The only thing worse than the design of the product is Samsungs support for this inferior product.I havent replaced the unit yet because Im afraid the next unit I purchase (Hint: not a Samsung product) will encounter the same problems. I have a countertop microwave someone gave me so I dont really need an over the range model. But when I do the kitchen remodel, Im not sure what to put in its place. Obviously I need some sort of vent so thats where my research now takes me.

Hi I am from chennai, India. I bought Samsung side by side fridge from Samsung store here. The model is RH77J90407H. From day one I have been facing issues and now I have to deal it legally. Please do not buy from Samsung stores. Visit the store for the features and benefits of various products, but buy from other Samsung dealers who also deal many brands. Samsung store people are hopeless after sales. Dealers other than Samsung stores put customer satisfaction first and help you in getting the refund or replacement. Within one year Samsung technicians have changed water dispenser unit, compressor, PCB board and main mother board in my fridge. Beauty is my noise problem is not solved but is more now. As a bonus four of fridge trays have broken during the problem solving process by technicians.

Ticket # ** When I purchased my oven 5 years ago, I called them after having it under a year. My complaint was that it feel like it was getting overly hot! I was told that I just wasn’t use to the newer ovens but, I did notice some melting on the top of the front door and burn marks. Anyway long story short, my bake element was no longer heating. I would turn it up to 350 and it would go right back to 200. I called Samsung again. They promised me a one time parts and labor repair, which I do have in writing. The parts were so called ordered and then I get a message from them stating that they will not replace the bake heating element and the motherboard because of the physical damage from the heating element. Now mind you the damage is from a defective oven. Been going back and forth with them. Every time they approve it, a few hours later the approval is rejected. The rest of my stove looks brand new because I have always taken care my appliances! I’ve also had problems with my ice maker freezing up, which I had serviced privately and so far so good! But, I will never purchase another Samsung appliance ever again! Now theyre saying they won’t repair it because it’s a potential high risk hazard. On the next note if I pay for it out of pocket they will repair it! Nothing like talking out of the two sides of your mouth! I do have in writing a one time Labor and parts repair. Which they’re totally refusing to stand by their word.

Samsung RF217 - I purchased this model (32) after installing a 36 Samsung in my mothers house. I was impressed with the larger model and expected similar results. My initial displeasure with this model was only two door shelves are full depth, so youre limited to 2 shelves that measure about 6x 10 for tall items. The interior shelves have little flexibility and only allow for a maximum height of 9.5, so a lot of my tall items have to lie down (and hopefully dont leak). But my main complaint is one month after the warranty expired (there is 5 years on the refrigeration system), I began noticing water in the produce drawers, a lot. I emptied and cleaned the drawers till today, finally Id had enough and spent 2 hours melting the ice that blocked the drain tube. Lowes would not cover the cost of a service call since it was out of warranty and Samsung will not admit they have a design flaw. If you research this problem you will find it is a common occurrence, so I cannot recommend this refrigerator or brand until they remedy my problem.

We have had the worst experience ever with our Samsung fridge. I was so excited to get it. It was really nice and had lots of room. But from the start it never made much ice. The ice maker kept going out and they sent repairmen out a few times to fix it. We eventually got a new fridge and had the exact same problem. We got this one “repaired” 5 times before they finally admitted it was unfixable and agreed to a refund. The refund process has been a nightmare and we have been dealing with it for 7 weeks now. We have been told different info from different agents. We have been put on hold to be transferred to supervisors and then hung up on. We have been told we would get emails with no contact. It’s been a joke. We were told 2 days ago that the refund was approved and we just need to wait for an email. I called back yesterday and got hung up on 3 different times. I called back today and was told it’s not approved yet and was given MORE excuses as to why. I don’t recommend anyone to EVER buy a Samsung appliance! My refrigerator (Samsung RF24FSEDBSR) has a unusual noise coming from the back. The only way to stop the noise is to unplug the unit for 24 hours and let it defrost (really a refrigerator without a defrost cycle). I have seen where ice builds up and the fan is actually hitting against the ice and thats what causes the noise. The 2nd issue is the ice maker, or rather the lack of ice making. The ice maker is always dropping water into the drip tray, and the tray stays full. When you dispense ice the ice is wet and usually a bunch of crumbles VS solid cubes. We called Samsung and went to Frys where we bought the unit and all they say is that its a common problem, then said check the gasket/seal on the door that lines up with the ice chute, and is the chute door closing all the way. Both worked as they should but we still have water dripping.

I even offered to ship it at my own cost back to Samsung and forget about it and would like to buy another refrigerator from another company that is more reliable and responsive. I suggest to all Indians never to buy a Samsung product in their lifetime. Samsung is most cheating company I came across.

We bought this DW80F600UTS dishwasher in Feb. 2014 from Home Depot. Since then we are having problems with this unit. After about 2 months the unit stopped working and we called Samsung and the technician came and did not do anything. I called Samsung again and this time they changed all a lot of parts and sensors. I told Samsung that this unit is faulty and needs replacement. After fixing this issue after a couple of months the dishwasher stopped working again and would stop without completing the cycle. Once again the technician came and fixed the issue. Now after the warranty was over we had another issue the OE error code. This time Samsung refused to pay labor. In spite of several calls and long waiting for three weeks Samsung did not even bother to respond. This DW is a piece of garbage and please do not buy this. Even Samsung does not want to stand behind their own product.

We purchased a Samsung 4 door refrigerator Model RF31FMEDBSR the BSR must stand for the BS run around they will give you at Best Buy Jan 17 2014 - amount was $3,000. The ice maker stopped working March 20th 2015. Went online looked at customer support did all the things they ask you, reset button check! Pull out it and look at water lines check, etc. Two weeks later my 6 month old Samsung Microwave starts going off and on turns fan on when Im out of the room and is flashing error signs. Call Samsung, set up appointment for the microwave. They say they will check out the fridge, why they are here. Get a call from service repair next day saying fridge out of warranty. It was made in May 2013 and out of warranty in July 2014! When does a warranty start from a manufacture start at manufacture date, and not the date sold? Have called customer service talked to higher ups with no help. Will never buy another Samsung product!!!

The LED lights on the Heavy and Quick buttons start flashing and the dishwasher stops working after a minute or so of starting the dishwasher. I bought the dishwasher in January 2011 and the problem first happened just after a year of purchase, so I was outside of the warranty. The bill to fix this was about $300 and all the repair person did was pull out the dishwasher and wash the sensor (he said that there was some kind of dirt on the sensor). It took him about 5 minutes to fix it. He advised me to run the dishwasher empty once a month on Sanitize mode. I have been doing this diligently. Now less than 2 years later, I am encountering the same issue all over again. It seems like there is a problem with the design of the dishwasher. Other than the initial investment, Samsung wants consumers to spend $300 every 2 years to keep the dishwasher running!!

If you are expecting this oven to have two separate single ovens, you are terribly wrong. When we bake something in upper single oven the left side of the tray baked perfectly while the right side had raw dough. Of course we contacted to customer service and they promptly responded and send in a tech. The tech stated upper single oven will not bake unless you take the separator out and use whole thing upper and lower single ovens as whole one, despite the product sold and stated that it could be used as 2 single ovens. We called customer service again and after 4 complain tickets and 3 tech visits we learned that we paid 350 additional dollars for the good looks of lame product. This product CANNOT BE USED AS TWO SINGLE OVENS. You cannot use only upper single oven to bake. Last tech even stated on the ticket that, as customer we refused the repair after we lost 3 days of work to meet with theses hopeless people of Samsung techs. Not to mention they seriously check if the electrical power supply is good with voltage and amps on gas oven. They question my wife if she has a clue about the convection oven. Yah! Two different counties certified her as restaurant manager for fun and she ain’t been in restaurant industry in last 20 years. Also to the credit of Samsung they have great 1 year manufacturer’s warranty but unfortunately it starts from the date product manufactured. So if you purchase an oven & stove in Dec 2018 and that unit is manufactured Feb 2018, your one year manufacturer’s warranty expires on Feb 2019 so enjoy your 2 months worth of one year warranty. We have Samsung TV, Home Theater System, Refrigerator, 3 Samsung smart phones and this oven. I can proudly say this is the LAST product I purchased from Samsung. I dont want to see the word Samsung in my house anymore. Now if you are planning to purchase this duo oven I would suggest you to buy yourself a dutch oven and a ton of firewood, at least you can enjoy great outdoors with real fire and may have some good smores cooked evenly. That will be a lot more satisfying than losing tremendous time and effort try to explain people that their product is not doing what it supposed to while they were trying to achieve a different result with sending 3 techs to same issue. I am done with Samsung brand. Good luck to you.

SAMSUNG DMT800RHB - Multiple repairs from initial start-up. Substandard materials failing prematurely with insurance related home repairs that should fall upon manufacturer defect in engineering. Samsung knew they had engineered failures into this product so to eliminate defect they had safeguards like leak sensors built in. If you have one of these appliances out of warranty I would suggest cutting your losses and buying a different brand. Do not follow Consumers Digest, this was the consumers best buy, top of their reports at the time. If Samsung dishwasher stock is high its not because of quality, but ripping off the consumers.

Purchased this top of the line double oven stove from Lowes South location in June, 2017. On February 21st dropped a glass cover from a casserole. A short height (3) from the stove top resulting in the glass top shattering. The stove was still under complete warranty and nowhere did it indicate in the manual that glass tops were excluded in the warranty. Phoned Samsung and followed their instructions as to taking photos of the damage and when speaking with them we got the impression that everything would be repaired. As soon as Samsung received the photos they responded very quickly that it was excluded under the warranty. Nowhere on the warranty was there such a disclaimer. We will never buy another Samsung product again. We would not recommended this company as they do not stand behind their warranty.

Glass top extremely difficult to clean. After 2 weeks I returned to Lowes where I purchased it to ask if the glass top was made differently. They recommended a certain cleaner. I had a GE glass top for 15 years before this Samsung and it was never this difficult to clean. Then three months later I noticed a very small crack on the glass top. I called Lowes and they only cover for 30 days because I didnt buy the extended warranty. I called Samsung and sent photos but no response. I cant believe the money I paid for this Samsung stove. The top seems to be made differently. The burner areas look like they have rust on them and burn marks. It looks like I never clean the stove but truthfully that seems to be the only thing I do is clean the stove top. I have tried all glass top cleaners and none seem to work. I hate this stove and recommend anyone that wants to buy a samsung NOT to. It looks awful in my kitchen. Samsung and Lowes dont seem to care about it. They think cause there is a small crack that it was my fault. I swear I did not drop or bang on my new stove to make this crack. I am telling you people that are looking for the new double door Samsung electric range, DONT. I am so disappointed with this product.

The microwave just stopped working suddenly and displayed the error code SE. My husband was able to find a YouTube video on how to get it working again. It worked for a few weeks and then happened again. My husband fixed it AGAIN and it works for a while then went out again, and again, and again. Each time the fix lasted for a shorter time period until it just would go back to the error immediately. I cannot understand how companies such as Samsung are allowed to make products like this and rip off their customers. We havent had the microwave long...probably 3-4 years but it seems nowadays you cant expect anything you buy to last long no matter what you pay for them. It is completely IGNORANT that Samsung manufactures these over the range microwave models that dont vent well and the control panel is directly over the burner of the range where you boil water. Seriously? STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG MICROWAVES!!!

I have never written a online review before, but feel compelled to warn consumers regarding Samsung products. I purchased a Samsung, over the range Microwave from Home Depot (Model #SMH181613) in December 2013. The microwave stopped working in March just three months after the warranty expired. While I did not expect the microwave to last forever, 15 months is a short life for any appliance. This would not be so bad if I had not also purchased a washer and dryer made by Samsung. The washer does not get clothes clean no matter how few clothes you put in the washer or how carefully you follow the instruction for washing. My family take their clothes to the Laundromat!

I couldnt hate Samsung and their POS products any more than I do right now. Our refrigerator started acting up when it was 3.5 years old. Occasional loud grinding noises that we thought was the fan scraping against a buildup of ice. Almost a year later the noises stopped and the fridge temperature went up to where it was barely keeping the fridge cool enough to be functional. A repairman came, diagnosed and fixed the issue very quickly and cheaply, and we were quite satisfied. Until it stopped working again less than 30 days later. Now the same repairman thinks its a seal system issue, which his company doesnt address. Was told our issue would be expedited because we cant live without a refrigerator. That was a week ago. Samsung initially said a new repair company would contact us within 24 - 48 hours. I had to call back 3 times after that window to finally get a service repair number from them. IT WAS THE NUMBER OF THE SAME COMPANY THAT ALREADY CAME TO THE HOUSE AND SAID THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIX IT. Called Samsung again, and they gave me another number to call. That company ALSO said they dont address seal system issues. Called Samsung AGAIN. Now they dont know if theres anybody in our area who can address this issue. But not to worry, because theyll call me in 24 - 48 hours to let me know if theyve found somebody! Meanwhile Im supposed to give my toddler spoiled milk with his takeout dinner? Ill drop dead before I EVER buy another Samsung product.

This is an update to my previous post on my 3 and 1/2 year old fridge that quit working. I filled out a form from the Samsung site on the issue with the fridge and got a stock *received* form type letter back on the 18th. There was no mention of repairs, how to handle the problem, or if they were going to do anything. When I was on their website, it said the fridge was out of warranty and when I searched for appliance repair dealers, I got 0 results back. After reading pages of complaints all over the web with the same issues (bad ice makers, and the cooling issue), we decided we would not throw good money after bad in trying to fix it. We bought a new top rated GE (which will be delivered next month as we wanted a very specific model) and on 12-23, Lowes hauled the broken Samsung off (to the dump I guess). After the fridge was gone, later that evening, we get a UPS delivery of an envelope with a generic return address. We have no idea who sent it, instructions, nothing but a part; a temperature sensor that plugged into something. So I google the address and find its a Sears warehouse. I call them and they look up the order number and say its a Samsung part. So, I get a temp sensor, no idea it was even being sent from Samsung who when I look at my account online with my complaint, says the action was cancelled by **me** on 12-18. To say this whole thing has been frustrating is a big understatement. In fact, I am not sure a new sensor would have even fixed the problem from what I have been reading all over the internet.

The control panel went completely dead and the internal sides were very hot (as well as the glass rotating plate in the microwave). We had to unplug the unit. I have this fridge for 1.5 years. Love the size, but milk is always going sour before the expiry date; cheese molding; and leftovers didnt last. Rationalized all these things - must be leaving the milk out too long, must have dirty kids hands touching the cheese, etc. Because the digital temperature reading said it was 34 deg in the fridge, it must be accurate right? Wrong! Verification by 3 separate mercury and digital thermometers show that the fridge compartment temp runs 40-50 deg and thats in winter (wonder how warm it had been running last summer!). This is everywhere in the fridge compartment, top shelf, bottom shelf, door, right next to the ice maker, etc. I cannot find any place in the fridge that runs less than 40 degrees. In hindsight, no wonder food was spoiling! The fridge programming will not allow the temperature to be set any lower than 34F. Service technician has replaced the main control board and the digital touch screen assembly. Have not resolved the problem. I phoned Samsung customer support and was only told that since the factory warranty is expired, they can and will do nothing. Suspecting a design flaw that they are aware of. I will update if ever fixed. Freezer and flex-drawer hold reasonable to programmed temperature (generally 2-6 degrees above programmed temp, sometimes 10 degrees higher), but those compartments have larger programming range. Can program the freezer to -8 and the flex-drawer to 29, so even if they run higher than programmed, it is OK for food storage. But even with fridge set as low as it will go (34), it still is too warm for safe food storage.

March of 2015, we purchased a Samsung Refrigerator from Nebraska Furniture Mart. A month after purchase, the ice maker stop producing ice. Called NFM and was given Samsungs number. Technician came out at least 4 times, only supplying temporary relief. Technician said, this is a manufacture problem. He said, Theres a sleeve in the back of the refrigerator that allows air to come in and with sub-below temperatures over freezes the ice maker, not allowing the ice make to function properly. After calling Samsung, they continue with the troubleshooting techniques. If you are experiencing this problem, dont allow the operators to troubleshoot your issue. Demand for a service tech. Tech from NFM set the temperature control way too cold. Fresh produce, butter, cheeses in the midsection of the refrigerator was freezing. Found out the correct temperature should be set on 0 and 37. To set you must hold the numbers one at a time for at least three to five seconds. Heading back to NFM to complain. If purchasing this refrigerator, spend the extra money and buy the warranty. After 2 years, we started having trouble with our Samsung double door refrigerator freezing up. We had a technician out to fix it and he replaced the whole back panel. It worked for a couple of months and then began to freeze up again. The same technician came out again and we were chatting about what was happening and he suddenly realized the problem was that when you close the front doors, the piece that seals between the doors was no longer turning properly in the slot to seal between the doors, but rather just staying straight ahead leaving an opening where warm air could enter and the fridge would work overtime. He said there is a piece that often doesnt get installed when the fridge is delivered that keeps this from happening and over time the left door had moved down slightly causing the piece to not turn correctly. It was a simple fix to the left door raising it slightly so that the doors are now sealing properly. So far the fridge seems to be working better. I hope this helps someone else having these issues.

Have had this refrigerator since 2006, bought warranty. Have had refrigerator leak water since we bought this. No one has been able to repair it and have had 4 repairs on this appliance. The ice maker for cubed ice no longer works and I have called Samsung several times to stand by their product but to no avail. The company wants to sell me another warranty which more money has to come out of our pockets. Never again will I buy Samsung appliances ever...

This ice in the refrigerator has not been usable since we got it because of the odor. Changing the filter every six months doesnt help. The ice build-up under the meat drawer has also been a non-stop problem. We just went out and purchased a new one and will never buy another Samsung product because their customer service just doesnt care after multiple calls over the years. We just saw another couple in Lowes buying a new one also who had the same problems and the same model. I would suggest Samsung stick with TVs.

Well from all the other reviews, I guess theres no need in calling Samsung customer service. I have the same problem. Came home and fridge was warm inside. It was purchased in Sept. 2013. Guess Im just gonna purchase something else. Instead of, giving my money to repair men for no good reason. Just to have the same problem down the road. I purchased fridge, microwave, and a dishwasher. Hope the other two work for a while longer!!! LOL. Anyway if you read this before purchase, DONT BUY SAMSUNG!! Good luck to you!

Within 6 months the gas got leaked and I had to pay $4500 again. Within a month, the same problem. In the same amount I could have bought a new fridge with any other company. The customer support people always has to say there is a delay of technician because of heavy call flow. The request has still not been forwarded due to which the technician didnt visit the property. Now again within 30 days the same problem & still I have to pay again the same amount as well as the tech fees of $350. One of the 3rd grade services I have ever seen with this company. Ill never buy any stupid product from of Samsung because its one of the ** company in all products and request you all not to buy anything from this company because they only know how to make money without satisfying the customers need.

My French door refrigerator started forming ice about 18 months after purchase. Warranty is only a year, which is ridiculous when you pay that much for a appliance. I checked online for anyone else experiencing the problem. Most problems were with water under the crisper drawers which I hadnt experienced. I called Samsung and the first words the service desk said were, We havent experienced that problem before, which I knew was bogus because every person that called them said they said the same thing. Anyway after over 2 years of emptying my freezer and getting the ice out, I finally bit the bullet and called a repairman. I wish Id done it right away.He took the bottom panel off the back, took out the two drain pipes for the automatic defrost, about 7each with a rubber, flat nipple on each one. He shows me the small slit across the end of the nipple that the water drains thru and explains that if that slit gets clogged the water backs up and freezes in the bottom. It also could cause water to be leaked under the drawers in the cooling part of fridge. All he did was cut about -1/8 off of the flat ends and put them back on the pipes and reinstall them. They must just slide on because he didnt have any tools but the screwdriver to remove the panel and a snipper to cut the rubber nipple. You can use scissors for that. I could have done this myself had I known what to do. Thats why Im writing this. Also he said to be sure to turn fridge off for 48 hours to make sure all the ice has defrosted. Thats a pain, but weve been removing the ice for 2 years every 3-4 weeks. If this works, its worth the 48 hours without a fridge. If this works, you wont hear from me, if not, Ill let you know. It was a $79 service call. Its a bad design and hopefully Samsung has changed it. My fridge is almost 4 years old. I love everything else about it.

Purchased a French door black stainless refrigerator from Home Depot in 2016. Paid about $4000 for it. The ice maker never really worked well. It leaked constantly causing calcium buildup on the catch tray. Wasn’t too long after that it began to mold around the seal. Eventually it froze up and wouldn’t make ice. I called and it was 2 weeks after year warranty expires. They offered a one time extension. The ice maker was replaced then not even 6 months later I’m having the same issue. I called to complain and was treated poorly. Told they already gave me an extension and asked how long did we expect them to be responsible for my refrigerator, 20 yrs? With sarcasm. Should have bought the LG. Will never buy ANY Samsung products again!

The absolute worst dishwasher I have ever used. Wish I had never bought it! No matter how the dishes are arranged they never all come clean. At least 1 out 4 are still dirty. I now have to soak all the dishes prior to putting them in. Soaking the dishes does not guarantee that they will come out clean. Additionally you will have to clean the area where the water drains each time you use it to prevent Black Mold from growing. If there is a Samsung product in the next home we purchase we will ask for an appliance credit and tell them to take the crap with them. NEVER BUY THIS DISHWASHER!!

I dont see model no on it but it is stainless interior and black exterior with electronic buttons. I have been very satisfied but I couldnt give it a 5 because it has some trouble occasionally with heavily soiled dishes and when it dries it leaves water in any surface that is not completely flat. I bought my Samsung refrig in 2011 from Lowes and it needed repairs 3 times. First the control panel on door did not work. Second time it was a coil for the defrost. Third time it was a new motherboard. Now this is the fourth time and its doing the same thing. This item cost around $3000. I have lost thousands in food and waited weeks for parts. I want this to be replaced! Im at my wits end. Next step is BBB. I did buy the extended warranty from Lowes, but it will expire in January and then Im stuck with a lemon. Samsung, stick to tvs.

Our 5 yr. old Samsung French door fridge has wasted about 300 dollars worth
Our 5 yr. old Samsung French door fridge has wasted about 300 dollars worth of food. The first repairman from A&E recharged the freon and ordered some parts. One of the parts was a new compressor, which they ship to the house and install at a later date. We request with Samsungs guy in India to make sure we get the same guy to install the new compressor. (You cannot talk to A&E directly.) Some other guy shows up (had to miss another days work to accommodate their service, 250 bucks down the drain again.) This new guy takes the inside fridge panel off and says the upper evaporator coil is leaking because Samsung put too many zip ties holding it in. He snips off the zip ties, then he claims the compressor wasnt needed and the first guy who came should have known they were not authorized by Samsung to do any repairs. He leaves...... now Im dead in the water. I call Samsung office of the president (yeah right) they set me up with another repair tech. I yelp the new repair service and they have the worst reputation in the book. Soooooooo I call back the Samsung prezzizz office in Jersey and request they authorize the original repair techs from A &E to return. The freezer just went warm again. We are giving away food to friends. It is Thursday the new repair appt. is this Monday. Another day off work and probably a re-diagnose and subsequent appt. while they wait for parts. SMART FRIDGE MY A.. Samsung scam to buy a new fridge maybe. This is what over 2000 dollars gets you nowadays. Sad part is I hear even high end fridges have multiple problems too.

We purchased a $1200 dishwasher from Samsung in August 2014. After 1 month
We purchased a $1200 dishwasher from Samsung in August 2014. After 1 month it began breaking down and coming up with error messages which stopped it from running. Every time we called it took them 2 weeks to come out. By November they had been out 5 times and I was demanding a replacement. Id spent 4 months hand washing all my dishes. They came out and replaced it and things seemed fine before I saw water and suds streaming out of the bottom of the dishwasher on to my hardwood floors. As it was less than 1 year, I had to call Samsung. They insisted it was out of Warranty I needed to talk to the provider of the extended service even though the receipt was dated August 16. I called them and they sent me back to Samsung, who didnt seem to have any paperwork with our dates despite the fact that they had been to our house. They didnt care that there is most likely water under the dishwasher on the wood flooring. We havent heard yet from a repair person 24 hours later. I will never buy another piece of equipment from Samsung. Their quality and service is the worst Ive ever experienced.

Weve always loved Samsung products but this refrigerator is a real lemon. The ice maker freezes up every couple of months and we have to use the blow dryer to get rid of the ice buildup. Now the refrigerator wont stay cold. Repairman says it needs a new evaporator. Price to repair ice maker and replace evaporator: $954. Took 8 days to get a Samsung certified tech out to evaluate. Language barrier with phone help desk technician was frustrating. I learned that Samsung, if you have to call them, is not enthusiastic about backing up their products. At least not their refrigerators.

I purchased this microwave from Home Depot in Squamish BC, and have not stopped regretting it after numerous and non-stop issues. The power level button has never worked, the magnetron broke, the machine ran continuously without shutting off, it displayed multiple error codes. The sensor pad, key pad and magnetron (everything but the fan and light) were all replaced within the 1st year, costing much more than replacing it and the same issues are still happening now just outside of warranty. I was told I could purchase a extended warranty any time within the 1st year and was not able to after many attempts. After much complaining and pressure, Home Depot did advocate for me to get a new replacement unit but was not successful. This horrible experience could have been far less stressful if not for the inflexible and unreasonable policy of Samsung. The many agents I spoke with were polite and understanding but completely unable to provide reasonable customer service due to the strict, wasteful and outrageous Samsung repair rules policies and guidelines. I am awaiting to hear back from them after another phone call but based on the last year of my experience with this appliance, am not holding my breath. I hope this review saves someone else from this very frustrating experience. There are hundreds of videos on youtube and complaints highlighting the same issues we have had with our machine. These appliances seem to be consistent lemons.

Lights went out in Control panel on door almost immediately after purchase
Lights went out in Control panel on door almost immediately after purchase (service person made some adjustment that lasted a while and then it went out again, next service call we were told it was not covered under warranty). Unit started freezing up under deli tray while water leaked into the veggie bins, one ice maker would freeze up, the other poured water out of the door flooding the floor on several occasions, and of course it was out of warranty by this time so we finally had the ice makers shut off. It continues to leak water underneath the unit so our beautiful Samsung refrigerator sits in the garage so we dont have any more floors to replace. Samsung knowingly and without accepting responsibility continues to sell theses defective refrigerators to consumers without regard to the hardships it created both financially and emotionally. These are not warranty issues, it is defective design flaws. We are very disappointed and dissatisfied with Samsung and our Samsung refrigerator.

I purchased a new Samsung microwave/convection oven to mount over my stove
I purchased a new Samsung microwave/convection oven to mount over my stove about a year and a half ago. Within a month, the touch pad started acting up. Fan and light would come on by themselves. Touch panel would not work. Samsung, via Lowes, was notified, and had the touch pad replaced twice in the next 6 months. The last time, the service technician said that Samsung was aware that particular style of touch panel had a problem in areas where a lot of steam or moisture could be generated. If a microwave over a stove doesnt see a lot of steam, I dont know what will! So, it kept going out. They finally replaced the entire unit about 5 months ago. Now that one is acting up the same way. Wake up in the morning and the stove light and exhaust fan are running on high, and the touch panel is non-responsive. I have to go to the basement and throw the breaker to reset it. This is very aggravating. I am very dissatisfied, and think Samsung should give me a completely new model that works. I will never buy another Samsung microwave oven.

After several calls they finally gave me a repairman number 75 miles away. After reading reviews and checking with several people locally, we found numerous people had the same problem... which the majority still did not have problem solved, because repairman did not know what it was. We purchased a Samsung refrigerator model #RH22H8010SR July 2015. After only 2 weeks, we had a brief power outage. When power came back onthe refrigerator panel was flashing. It immediately started warming-up even though power was restored. By the time we saw the problem, the temperature in the refrigerator had already gotten into a warm state and the freezer was beginning to thaw. We could not press any of the settings to restore refrigeration. Only after totally removing power on our wall outlet was the refrigerator able to resume normal operation. The problem, of course, is--- what if we werent home to catch the problem? On telephoning Samsung Warranty Service with our concern, we were told that this is a FEATURE - NOT A FLAW. As of this writing we have no solution to our concern. Samsung seems to have chosen to ignore the problem; and now were stuck with the problem of having food spoil in the refrigerator while were away.

Purchased this attractive SS Samsung french door bottom freezer refrigerator a few years ago for $2500. It started leaking water in and under the drawers and making a loud noise. Apparently, this is such a common problem, most appliance repair companies won’t guarantee the repair as it may freeze up again in a few months and fail again. When I called Samsung, they said that it is no longer under warranty. They fail to acknowledge the defect. We had to have it repaired for by ourselves (was told no one will work on warranty repairs on Samsung because they take too long to get their money from them). Now a year later the refrigerator side of the unit is completely out and not working, and we are going through the same thing all over again, no call backs from Samsung’s warranty repair people in our area. I had to move all my chilled items to a cooler and to my old garage Whirlpool fridge that is over 12 yrs old and it still works great, even in the summer heat in FL in a garage. I purchased this microwave (M/W) Microwave Model SMH9187ST/XAA a little over three years ago. First, after a few months of use the turntable stopped working. I could fix it myself with not much expense. Thanks to Youtube. Then after a few months the handle broke. By this time the M/W was over one year old. So, I called the customer service. Since it was already a few weeks over one year, they refused to take care of it. I then fixed it myself. The next was the Touch Panel which stopped working. I called Samsung Tech support who again refused to take care of the problem. So, I purchased the Touch Panel and fixed it again. Now the inside light stays on 24/7 and fan comes on the moment door is closed. Only way to stop it from running is unplug every time I am done using the M/W. Again, I called Samsung. As at least some of you have experienced, it takes minimum 30 minutes for someone to pick up your phone. Again, they refused to take care of the problem and said a service tech would call me to set up an appointment at my cost. Since then I called over 7 times in the past two weeks (I kept a log), nobody called back. Finally after a testy conversation, I asked them to give me their service techs number and I called them myself to set up an appointment. Now waiting for the service tech to show up and give me the dreaded figure for repair or pay the service charge. Will NEVER buy Samsung appliance again. BTW: My Stainless Steel Fridge which I bought at the same time also started giving problems after a year, no solutions from Samsung on that too.
