I would put negative or Zero stars if I could. We are on day 18 with a broken refrigerator and no closer to a resolution. It takes a minimum of 4 days to get a physical service person to arrive and evaluate the problem. In our case it was a severe sealed compressor issue on our refrigerator less than 1 year old and still under factory warranty. After the technician discovered the real problem we waited 3 days for Samsung to determine an exchange was the course of action. 7 Days after that determination we are no closer to getting the exchange we were promised. You would think after the amount of my follow up calls, I could actually reach a person with the ability to simply approve the exchange request. The scripted response is to tell you they will expedite with an email. Horrible service Samsung.

2 repairs in 18 months. The first time the unit died completely. $115 to replace the thermal switch. Then a few months later...the dreaded 5E (SE) error. Just cleaned the ribbon cable connector myself. Why would a company of this size and reputation, not address this? My old GE over the stove microwave lasted 20 years. Ill be lucky to get 2 out of this one. My last Samsung appliance of any sort! Period.

I like the technology and the layout of the refrigerator but I am a little concerned with the reliability of certain aspects of my model, like the icemaker. I have owned the refrigerator for about five years and for the last 3 years the icemaker has not operated properly. It tends to freeze up after about a week or two and it gets jammed up with ice cube being dumped over the sides.

I purchased my range 4 yrs ago. I love my Samsung TVs so, I thought the range would be great. No way!!!! I love to cook and consider myself a pretty tasty chef. This range has made good cooking a challenge. The heating units on this range turn bright red even on Low. This poor control means you cannot simmer a pot on low because it will burn!!! How disappointing!! I would never recommend a Samsung range. What a waste of $$. BAMTiverton RI

We have a full set of Samsung black stainless kitchen appliances. We bought them two years ago. We have had the dishwasher face and bottom doors on fridge and stove replaced twice under warranty for peeling. Stove peeling again. Now we are told it’s cosmetic and not covered. If we had known it was just a film over stainless we would not have purchased. We are $4500 in appliances that look like crap. Samsung will NEVER get another dime from us.

Purchased this dishwasher (Model DW80F800UWS/AA) 11 months ago. During that time our kitchen was under an extensive remodel so dishwasher wasnt in service for 8 out of the 11 months weve owned it. Now that our kitchen is in working order we hooked our new dishwasher up. The past 3 weeks have been plagued with numerous error codes: oE, 9E and HE. Ive contacted Samsung and each time theyve sent out A&E repair service to address the problems. Although the reps from Samsung have arranged for repairs this is really becoming ridiculous to say the least. So far this machine has gone through 2 case assemblies, an ECS sensor, main control board and now needs a heater sump pump assembly. Essentially every working part, some of them twice. To say were frustrated is putting it mildly. Now the holidays are approaching and we need to wait another 2 weeks for parts. Our manufacturer warranty ends in 3 weeks. If this ever gets fixed were pulling it out and replacing it with another brand. We will never buy a Samsung appliance ever again or would feel confident to recommend their products.

This is an update to my previous post on my 3 and 1/2 year old fridge that quit working. I filled out a form from the Samsung site on the issue with the fridge and got a stock *received* form type letter back on the 18th. There was no mention of repairs, how to handle the problem, or if they were going to do anything. When I was on their website, it said the fridge was out of warranty and when I searched for appliance repair dealers, I got 0 results back. After reading pages of complaints all over the web with the same issues (bad ice makers, and the cooling issue), we decided we would not throw good money after bad in trying to fix it. We bought a new top rated GE (which will be delivered next month as we wanted a very specific model) and on 12-23, Lowes hauled the broken Samsung off (to the dump I guess). After the fridge was gone, later that evening, we get a UPS delivery of an envelope with a generic return address. We have no idea who sent it, instructions, nothing but a part; a temperature sensor that plugged into something. So I google the address and find its a Sears warehouse. I call them and they look up the order number and say its a Samsung part. So, I get a temp sensor, no idea it was even being sent from Samsung who when I look at my account online with my complaint, says the action was cancelled by **me** on 12-18. To say this whole thing has been frustrating is a big understatement. In fact, I am not sure a new sensor would have even fixed the problem from what I have been reading all over the internet.

We bought our Samsung fridge with icemaker in 2015 and loved the design for storage. We had several issues with defrosting and the fridge developing ice and the back and freezing food. We started to take a day once a year to defrost it over 24 hours and it worked for a couple years but we called it this year. It froze up again (early this year) and we defrosted it again but it never got back to properly keeping our food cool but not frozen. Our local repair person told us he wouldnt waste our time because hes gone to service Samsung fridges many times and bought new parts but it never helped. When we had our new fridge delivered the delivery person commented that theyve removed mostly Samsung fridges from peoples homes. They look good but not worth it. Ours lasted 6 years! Thats not long for over $2,000.00. Not to mention the environmental impact!

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator; model RFG293HAWP/XAA, in November of 2011. The wide open cool select pantry draw opened and closed properly for a few months and now it jams on a regular basis. When I called service, they told me I was overloading the draw and not balancing the contents properly. Why design a large draw that you are supposed to leave half empty? And why did it not have a warning sign displayed in the showroom model with the above instructions? I certainly would not have purchased the product if I was correctly informed. Customer Service left me with an Oh well, live with it reply.

Ice maker & water dispenser have caused unspeakable frustration: We paid a premium for matching upper end appliances including the Samsung refrigerator which has caused my wife and I unspeakable frustration from the first year we purchased it. We love ice tea with ice and thought we bought a high end refrigerator that would allow us to have ice for our ice tea at the touch of a button. But that has certainly NOT been the case! The ice maker does not produce ice due to internal parts freezing up. This problem started within the first year we purchased it and after $100s in repair costs and uncountable hours spend thawing efforts, the same thing keeps happening over and over no matter how dry I get it. Besides freezing up, the motor has always made a loud noise which my wife cant stand and our guests ask what is that noise? Additionally, I had to spend $200 on a countertop ice maker because our $3,000 Samsung ice maker does not work. I hate to sell it to anyone else so we are stuck with it and dont know what to do with the piece of junk! Since Samsung knows that they sold me a design flawed product, I think they should replace my refrigerator ASAP.

Ice maker stopped working within 24 months of purchase. To begin with, the unit was always too loud while making ice, no it just does not make ice. Instead it makes a loud sound in the middle of the night. I called to the Samsung reps, who were very polite about the issue. They refused to have a complimentary diagnosis technician come to my place. I dont think I want to spend any money on a unit that was not top quality in the first place. Buyers be aware. (Our old refrigerator was replaced after 14 years and made ice everyday during that time. Not Samsung.)

My story is similar to Eli from Vancouver. Bought this d/w in 2014. Was good for 4 months--lights started blinking. Called Samsung, they said needed a new computer board which they did replace. That was good for another 4 months. Then the d/w wasnt drying and draining properly. I have read that book so many times I could take a test and get a 100%. It would be faster to wash the dishes by hand. Then there is the smell. I have to run baking soda and vinegar in it every two weeks to keep it under control. Now I have more flashing lights--I am done. I am taking my loss and buying a Bosch. This was the worst experience ever. Life is complicated in the 21st century. We depend on these luxuries to make things a little easier. I do not need this stupid stress. I bought the stove and refrigerator too. Stove so far okay. Refrigerator not great either but I wont go on about that right now. The dishwasher is a big BUST!!! Avoid the stress. I wish I had the time because judging from the amount of entries on this site, the dishwashers are a real mess and a class action suit would make sense. Besides, by time it would be settled, I would be dead.

A new problem has arisen with our Samsung DMR 77 dishwasher. We resolved two old the ones frequently mentioned by others here (see below). New problem is that after two years of use, the upper spray arm drops off its mounting and when snapped back, falls off again in use. We had the same problem others reported with the dishwasher turning on at the slightest touch or seemingly even a near approach. Samsung should sell the technology for proximity switches. But the solution is simple: turn on the child lock feature immediately after the cycle begins. That is, disable when you want to run the damn thing, then enable as soon as the cycle begins so you dont forget. Problem solved with minimum hassle. We also experienced the Lego snap-off wheel problem, lower rack only, and the only solution we found is to pull the rack straight out. Cheap or stupid design, no question. We bought Samsung dishwasher, microwave, and range (and TV) when we redid our kitchen. The dishwasher has been worst by far in quality.

We registered a complaint regarding our fridge which we bought just about one and half years ago... The complaint was done on the 4th of June and this is the 8th of June today, and still the problem is not solved. Today we called the service center for four times. Every time we are told that your problem is on priority and will be solved soon... In the evening, a senior executive told us that it is 7 oclock and this time no one can come... and we are told to wait till the coming Monday that is the 10th of June... So we are so disappointed with their services and we found ourselves helpless in this condition. We think that we should not buy any more products from Samsung.

I received a brand new Samsung refrigerator model: RF263AFRS, purchased from Sears in February 2011. Despite appropriate care it failed the summer 2013 (two years!). Neither Sears nor Samsung offered to stand for the quality and the consumers concern for the excessive noise (now clearly audible through the entire two storey house!). The cooling also seems to be an issue. I am in the process of confirming the latter with an internally placed thermometer. I called both the Sears and the Samsung representatives: it appears they are not willing to investigate their failure to provide a quality product expected to perform up to expectation for at least 10 to 15 or more years similar or better than the old fridges we still own. There is something wrong with quality of Sears service and product from Samsung. Consumer be aware.

We purchased our Samsung refrigerator 4 years ago as new homeowners. Towards the beginning of July this year, we started having issues with the freezer not keeping things frozen - ice cream melting, meat thawing, etc. After trying the recommendations in the manual and unplugging it to reset it per Samsung, it seemed like our problem was fixed... for about a week. So I called Samsung again. On July 21, a technician from one of their service centers, MidAmerica, came out and discovered our sealed refrigeration system was leaking (evaporator & compressor - attached is a picture of the evaporator; all the coils are supposed to be covered in ice and only the top one of ours is due to the loss of coolant)... he also informed us that the sealed refrigeration system was still under warranty (5 year warranty stated in manual). However, he couldnt fix it because he supposedly just moved to our state and didnt have the insurance/licensure to carry the parts... a little fishy, but he said we should be able to call Samsung and they will find a trained technician to fix it. Turns out - Samsung has no trained technicians for sealed refrigeration systems in our area, so they told us to find our own and they will reimburse us but only if the technician we found diagnosed the same problem... okay? So we call Mr. Appliance and they were fantastic! They came out on 7/30. They diagnosed the SAME problem but stated it would be over $2000 to fix it. They also informed us it was probably only a matter of time until our fresh food side stopped keeping things cool too. We were shocked. The refrigerator did not even cost that much to begin with and we also dont have $2000 lying around. So I contact Samsung again, spoke with a girl named Brady. I offered to email her the quote as well as our proof of purchase to show that it seemed ridiculous that we were going to repair a refrigerator under a manufacturers warranty for more than it was worth when we bought it. She put me on hold for a brief moment and came back to say we just needed to pay it and Samsung would reimburse us (mind you, there has never been anything in writing stating they would reimburse us... theyre expecting us to just go on their word). Refused to let me email the quote to them and also refused to let me speak to a supervisor about the issue. She stated a supervisor would email me... which never happened. In the meantime, we called Mr. Appliance about ordering the parts and they stated it would probably take over a month to get the compressor from Samsung... so my fiance calls Samsung to inform them of this. In our minds, it should not take a month (possibly longer) to get a warranty issue fixed! Asks to speak to a supervisor, on the phone for over an hour and talks to three separate people who are not supervisors and just keep saying its their policy to have us pay this exorbitant amount of money and expect them to reimburse us. We suggested that they just replace the refrigerator - they keep indirectly saying they will find a way to get the issue resolved. They say a supervisor will call us back in 24-48 hours... we wait 3 business days and havent heard anything, so I call them on 8/6. I spoke with Michael, who was very nice and genuinely seemed shocked that it was taking this long to get this fixed. He actually wanted me to email him the receipts and proof of purchase unlike Brady and stated they would be calling Mr. Appliance since they were the only people who said they could truly fix it. We were relieved. This was short-lived however because the next day they assign our ticket to MidAmerica AGAIN and some other local company (J&D) who had already told us they dont have someone trained in sealed refrigeration systems. By this time, I am irate. I call again and tell them to refer to the images of the receipts I sent, associated with the ticket number from my phone call on 8/6 with Michael. Gregory tells me there are no images with that ticket number. I felt like I was going crazy! These people are ridiculous. They are like robots every time you call - there is no history of ongoing issues, they close ticket numbers before the problem is resolved and just open a new one every time. They give you the run-around and obviously no one truly cares about resolving your problem. I submitted the images again and am still waiting on another phone call. If this product wasnt still under a manufacturers warranty, I wouldve been done weeks ago. It has affected our quality of life from the stress and time weve put into this and weve spent more money than anticipated on going out to eat and frequent grocery trips for fresh food. I feel defeated. I wish there was a no star option. It is somewhat comforting to see that so many other people have had issues with their Samsung refrigerators, as well as their customer service department, but also so unfortunate. I would NOT recommend any of their products to anyone at this point. I would never want anyone else to go through this like we have. Please consider this review (I know its long - sorry! ), as well as all the others, before purchasing a Samsung product.

I purchased this refrigerator in December 2011. It worked like a charm until earlier this year, when the warranty ran out. We had ice build up in back of fridge. Called for service and the first person did not look at the issue; he just ordered the part and we had to pay before it was delivered to us. Second repair person was terrific. He fixed the problem and found the original issue which was a part the first guy never ordered. We thought we were all set for another five years. Now the freezer has ice buildup under the drawer and the door binds when closing. I hate to spend another 500 dollars and not know what will happen next. We will definitely not be buying Samsung appliances in the future.

I bought this fridge in 2014 and one for my parents shortly after. For the first 2 years they both worked great. The last 2 years not so much. My parents unit ice machine has been replaced twice due to it freezing up and not working. I fortunately have not had that problem with the ice machine. The freezer and middle drawer of the fridge work great and maintain temperature without issue. The main section of the refrigerator does a very poor job of keep food cold. I discovered the fan that is supposed to circulate the air was not working. Samsung wanting to charge some crazy amount of money just to come troubleshoot it so I tore it apart myself. In the back of the fridge the cooling coil was frozen over and caused the fan to burn out. After thawing the fridge and replacing the fan it worked for a few months but subsequently froze again. Replacing this fan every few months seem very silly and now I regularly have to tear the fridge apart and thaw the coil to ensure it doesn’t burn out the motor. The last 6 months I have noticed that even when the fan is working the fridge does not stay cold anymore. The door reads 34 degrees but in the fridge it is anywhere from 40 to 60 degrees and any given time. It is a shame that 2 refrigerators that cost nearly $3000 dont work after less than 4 years. I will never buy a Samsung refrigerator again. Both units are nothing but JUNK now!!! Now we have to decide if we want to continue to throw items away when it decides it doesn’t want to keep food cold or buy another $3000 fridge. Very disappointed.

Problems from the start and are with both ovens either separate or together in convection. After 4 visits and some part changes, there is no change. I did a few extensive digital and analog temperature tests to document that: 1) The initial at temperature beep is usually close but then over time, the temp drifts down to over 100 degrees F below where it should be. 2) When I restart the oven because its too cool, the oven display confirms the low temperature I measured. 3) As the oven restart, the convection fan or fans blow such hot air the food in the middle of the oven that the food is burnt to black while food not in the center or on different racks is not burnt. 4) The restart temperature once the beep sounds is accurate. 5) The convection fans are always blowing the hottest air straight out the middle. Not circulating the air around or reversing fan direction once and a while. So a blowtorch on food in the middle of the oven. From reading web forums, cnet in particular, seems like all of these Samsung ovens do pretty much the same thing. Seems like a programming problem in the firmware. Resolution is under review by Samsung. But do I even want another fix or a replacement? No. I want a refund and Ill buy a different brand.

March of 2015, we purchased a Samsung Refrigerator from Nebraska Furniture Mart. A month after purchase, the ice maker stop producing ice. Called NFM and was given Samsungs number. Technician came out at least 4 times, only supplying temporary relief. Technician said, this is a manufacture problem. He said, Theres a sleeve in the back of the refrigerator that allows air to come in and with sub-below temperatures over freezes the ice maker, not allowing the ice make to function properly. After calling Samsung, they continue with the troubleshooting techniques. If you are experiencing this problem, dont allow the operators to troubleshoot your issue. Demand for a service tech. Tech from NFM set the temperature control way too cold. Fresh produce, butter, cheeses in the midsection of the refrigerator was freezing. Found out the correct temperature should be set on 0 and 37. To set you must hold the numbers one at a time for at least three to five seconds. Heading back to NFM to complain. If purchasing this refrigerator, spend the extra money and buy the warranty. A home warranty plan may also help defer the cost. NOT HAPPY WITH SAMSUNG RIGHT NOW!

The problem is intermittent which drives me crazy as weve had service people out and the unit worked fine. 2 days later it was back to its old self - stuck in a drain cycle. Your new water filter model SAMSUNG REPLACEMENT AQUA-PURE DA29-00003G will NOT work in my refrigerator. The 3rd groove you have added will not screw in. No matter how hard I try to twist it in. No matter how hard a handy man I had to pay try to get it in there. No matter how hard your authorized Samsung repair service tried to twist in there. PLUS THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME $65 to not do ANYTHING. Is this a marketing tactic for me to buy a new refrigerator? I had spent 2 days talking with your customer service, your parts department, your repair service. I have been told the G series is compatible, just apply more pressure. Enough that I am about to break it is my response? I have been told by your authorized serviceman that I have the wrong part. Then he turns around and says there is only filter that size that Samsung makes. Duh... I have gone to 3 different stores and bought the same filter, getting the same results. (As everyone has Samsung’s revised G series water filter.) I have a working refrigerator with a working water filter housing that will not accept your “new” “G” series water replacement filters. I have to now find the older SAMSUNG REPLACEMENT AQUA-PURE DA29-00003F. Your company needs to address this situation as it is purely ridiculous to have your consumers be subjected to the degree of difficulty that I have had recently trying to pay the way overpriced amount (which I will pay because I love the quality of water it produces). YOU NEED TO REMEDY THIS SITUATION VERY SOON.

DWF800A (DW80F600UTS) - I bought a brand new stainless steel dishwasher by Samsung on 5th September. It did not work out of the box. I contacted Samsung and they arranged for a technician to call me back. A week later, the technician called and arranged to visit and check it out in a few weeks time. On the arranged day, the technician called to say he wouldnt be out as the parts hadnt arrived. Another week later he called again to arrange a visit - another week later. Eventually, the technician called, replaced the sensors and circuit board and declared that it should be ok hopefully. The dishwasher worked for one wash, then went back to the exact same fault - not emptying. We called the technician back and he said it would be at least 3 weeks before he could call again. Its now 2 months since we received this piece of junk, so I called Samsung again. After 20 minutes on the phone with customer service, they escalated to Executive customer service. After 20 minutes with them, where I asked for it to be replaced or refunded, as it wasnt fit for purpose, I was told that I would just have to wait for the technician to call again. So Samsung are more than happy that I have a non-working Samsung product, have had to take 3 days holidays to wait for their technician and am out of pocket for almost $1000 for a piece of ** not-fit-for-purpose junk for 3 months.I have a house full of Samsung products, from cell phones and TVs to all of the major household appliances. Well Samsung, let me tell you I have gone from being a big Samsung fan to a total hater of Samsung - I will not be replacing any product with another Samsung, due to this shoddy treatment. Please do yourself a favour - dont buy this piece of junk. I will update in another months time, when the technician has had another go at fixing this POS.

I had a very bad experience with all of my home appliances. All Samsung especially, fridge and washing machine. I bought all my new house appliances from Samsung just only a year ago and now the washer and fridge are completely broken. Samsung customer service sent to my house a technician who came to fix it 4 times. Each time he said I have to change a certain part of washing machine. He has replaced everything in washer (board - hose - door assembly - filters) and finally he said, It’s manufacturing problem and you have to ask Samsung customer service to replace it or compensate you, but now and after 2 months of suffering with them, they refused and they want to try again to fix it. The customer service said, This is our policy to try many times. I can’t believe myself. It is a bad system for bad company. I do not advise anyone to deal with this deceptive company.

We strongly feel that Samsung should stick to making cell phones. We bought our refrigerator (as well as a Samsung d/w) from Sears about three years ago and we are already at the point of having to replace the fridge. We are not AT ALL happy about having to cough up the money again after spending $1600 the first time on what turns out to be a piece of junk that has given us nothing but problems. The last repair person who came out to fix it through our home warranty program (because Samsungs warranty expired the week before we had our first major issue with the appliance) said that he worked almost exclusively on Samsungs because they are what the vast majority of his service calls are about. That was eye opening!

Purchased the refrigerator recently. Samsung has been out numerous times and cant repair it. The problems seem to change with each tech and with each phone call. I get different reasons why it doesnt work correctly. Last outsider tech rep stated it was the smart app in the refrigerator has a problem. Samsung does not live up to its advertising or product warranty. Would not recommend Samsung to my worst enemy. In the advertising it states Stream music and videos, and watch your Samsung TV directly on your Family Hub... Also bought a new Samsung TV and they are not compatible. So states some Samsung reps. Others say that it should work. Spent a lot of money on garbage, in my opinion.

Bought 2 of these Samsung RF263BEAESR refrigerators for my sons. A few months later we realized they were both running practically all the time. On investigation we found that when the right door is closed last, it blows the left door open about 1/4 inch which exposes the interior of the refrigerator to outside air, rendering the insulation ineffective. However, its not enough to set off the door alarm so you wont know it. Samsungs warranty servicer for my area says its normal for this model and Samsung will not warranty this problem. My advice: stay away from this refrigerator unless you love to pay high electric bills. I wasted $3500 on these. I know I will never buy another Samsung product.

French door refrigerator model RF263BEAESR/AA. This POS is 3 1/2 yrs old. Ref makes a racket after there is ice buildup and fan hits ice. Only way to stop noise is removing all shelves, removing inside panel in rear and chopping away at ice. This has to be done at least once a month. Getting ready to check it out the door. Do not buy SAMSUNG. First time service man said nothing can be done to permanently correct it. Its been going on now for over a year. Now we do it ourselves. Drives me crazy, repaired once at less than 2 years old, considering the price we paid Im disgusted. The doors have to be forced shut, as they dont close automatically. Butter holder doesnt hold a pound of butter! Shelves barely adjust and certainly not efficient. Water seems to pool in vegetable bins. To make matters worse the fridge and in particular the freezer is always covered in weird patterns as if the moisture is escaping somehow to just under the stainless steel. It work half the time and you have to keep signing in to them. The ring door bell as well doesn’t work because it will log you. My main people is with the ice maker. It broke the first month and for the next 4 months after I had it either repaired or the ice maker replaced numerous times. They finally just replaced the refrigerator. The new replacement the ice maker froze up and quit working 12 months later. The ice dispenser is junk because the crushed ice is so slow and will drop large chunk a out as well. This was a major mistake to go with Samsung.

Purchased this microwave from Lowe’s in 2013. Broke this weekend after catching on fire internally. White plastic / electrical smoke filled our house. Luckily no other damage. If we were not in the kitchen however, the story could have been different. Contacted Samsung directly to see if they could help with repairs, or a discount towards a new Samsung microwave. The answer: No, we only warrant our appliances for 1 year. Anything past 1 year is the consumer’s responsibility. So my warning to anyone looking to purchase a Samsung appliance. Get the extended warranty, which is very expensive. Because after year 1, and your appliance breaks or causes damage to your home, Samsung will not help. Wonderful company.

Last year, I bought an expensive top-of-the-line Samsung dishwasher. I thought this would be the best dishwasher I ever had. Boy, was I wrong. When my 15-year-old Sears Kenmore dishwasher died, it was doing a better job on dishes than this brand new $1000+ dishwasher. If I dont wash my dishes before I put them in, I have to wash them when I take them out. And they are never dry when they come out. I always have to dry them. My floor around my dishwasher is always wet because the dishes drip water when I take them out. And if I put 5 glasses in the top, 4 of the glasses have debris inside them when I take them out. I have to wash them again. Do not buy Samsung dishwashers. A used Kenmore will do a better job. I cant wait for this thing to break so I can get rid of it. What a piece of junk.

After 30 minutes, they told me I would then have to send them a copy of my receipt. It would then have to be approved to send these two screws.Totally frustrated I went to the store I bought it. They called Samsung and the salesperson advised, after an hour on the phone with their rep, they were going to contact me and arrange when a tech could come out and look at my refrigerator before it would be verified that I would receive these two screws. Ok, this is a very honest review of an expensive Samsung Refrigerator, the purpose of this review is to ensure that people do not face the same harassment and cheat at the hands of Samsung and fault prodicts that we did. If you dont want to read the review, just know that never buy Samsung Refrigerators which are high end Models as they dont have the support team or the resources to sort out any problem, remember its more a warning to the discerning buyers rather than a review. So to cut the story short, we bought a Samsung french door refrigerator with Ice Maker in September 2017. Towards the end of 2018 the Ice maker stopped working and sadly after 7 complaints and paying almost close to INR 12000.00, we are still sitting with the same problem and no one now responds as they dont know what is the problem. We have knocked on all doors but to no avail and still no one bothers to understand the problem. Sir, we have escalated the problem to the highest level, is the standard response is basically inaction post that.Guys, the quality for a high end refrigerator is really bad, there are a number of recurring problems which are magnified by the fact Samsung has no support or product training for its field service personnel for high end models so please refrain. Hope this saves people from the agony we are facing after spending a fortune on a refrigerator!

Many options on this unit, boost certain zones, a flex tray on the top, more than a few load options, but whats the use if your dishes are not dry. Handles a lot of dishes at one time and better organization. Stainless steel outside and inside. I should have done more research before purchasing this unit. If you have the latest technology dishwasher out there, you would expect it to perform like one. This one did not.

We replaced all of our kitchen appliances two years ago with this line of Samsung appliances. The refrigerator is currently a model involved in a class action lawsuit as water pools in the crisper drawers and produce spoils. I can deal with taking drawers out and dumping them, but at the beginning of this month my husband was in our nursery when he heard a loud pop in the kitchen. Upon inspection, he noticed that our glass top (Range NE595ROABSR) had cracked completely from front to back. Furthermore, fragments of the glass continued to split from the bottom up (not from the top down as one would suspect had it been an object of force hitting the top).He called Samsung and they sent a diagnostic tech out a week later (bear in mind that we have three children under the age of four and nothing safe to cook on) for the cost of $80. My husband explained to the technician that he had set an empty two quart pot on the stove before hearing the baby cry. The stove was not on and HAD NOT BEEN ON FOR TWO DAYS at that point. The technician took pictures, says he sees this all the time, agreed that there was absolutely no physical damage on our end, he said he could tell where the glass had a defect, but warned us that Samsung likes to deny claims. We paid the $80 to this third company for him to take some pictures and leave. He left and two days later we were indeed denied. We began the arduous process of calling and talking to every imbecile that works for this pathetic excuse of a company. We were initially told that their technical support team approved us for a replacement once the diagnostic tech called them and sent in pictures explaining that this was a Samsung defect. After a few days of no one coming to replace the range top, we called back and were informed that the glass top isnt covered in the five year GLASSTOP WARRANTY (seriously, this company is ludicrous). After spending two more days and endless hours on the phone (mind you with a four month old, and two preschoolers screaming and crying in the background), we were informed that it doesnt matter what the diagnostic technician says, their product review department is comprised of engineers that are specially trained to detect physical damage IN CELL PHONE PICTURES and they determined that since my husband had an EMPTY pot sitting in the stove at the time the glass cracked we had physically damaged the item and they would not replace the range top, but we could for an additional ~$250 plus another $50 in labor to the company we already paid $80 to diagnose the problem.Perhaps its just me, but I was under the impression that stoves were meant to hold pots. Granted this one had been left alone in a kitchen because of a colicky baby, so perhaps it grew legs and jumped up and down until breaking our range and causing the physical damage. None the less, we are out of pocket the $800+ it cost two years ago, and additional $80 for a diagnostic tech that Samsung refuses to believe over some gods behind a computer screen that do not receive or accept calls from customers, and I still have NOTHING safe to cook on for my sons. We refuse to replace the glass top because there is no guaranty this wont happen again. Thanks Samsung for costing a struggling family to struggle even more. We doubt that youll care, but youve lost us as customers for life.

I have a less than 2 yr. old Samsung 4-door fridge. Two months after I got it the ice maker started dripping. It took 7 service calls to finally fix it by replacing the fan on the motor. Now it is only cooling to 50 degrees in the fridge part. Freezer is ok. I called Home Depot warranty dept. and they called a TV repair shop (???) to come look at it. The shop told me they wanted to order parts before looking at it. Ten days later they tell me the parts arent all in and they will try to make it out on Mon (this is Fri) if the parts come in. This is so unacceptable! I would think a fridge that cost over $3000 should not be breaking down in the first place. Samsung says since I didnt buy their warranty, tough luck. After reading all of the reviews, I have a really bad feeling about this whole mess. Whatever happened to good service???UPDATED ON 09/24/2015: In my review back in July I reported that my Samsung fridge was not cooling and that I was having difficulty getting someone to repair it. Since then, the TV repair place called and said the compressor was out and they couldnt fix it because it takes R600 refrigerant and they didnt deal with it. Since it was supposedly the compressor, it was covered by Samsung, who sent yet another guy out to look at it; he said it was not the compressor but the computer board, so Samsung wouldnt cover it. After many back and forth calls to Home Depot, they finally sent me a check for the full price of my fridge, plus $300 for lost food. They told me to dispose of the fridge however I wanted to. Long story short, my brother-in-law from Florida, who has done appliance repair for 40 years, came up. Within an hour, he had recharged the compressor with R134 refrigerant and told me it had a very minute leak that wouldnt give me problems for a very long time. That was Aug. 1. The fridge has ran perfectly ever since. Upon returning to FL, he found out that Samsung had, in fact, recalled this fridge on July 1. So, I dont know how long this fix will last, but so far, so good. Anyone else in this situation should press Samsung for a refund. Apparently there is a problem with using R600 in the States, which they should have known before they started selling them here. Guess they figured they could just sell you a new one when this one died. Go figure!

Same thing, different person. Fridge Model RF217ACRS, manufactured in 2011. Problem started in 2014. Samsung refuses to pay for repair even though original chat transcript with Samsung Support inferred they will stand behind their product, after creating a ticket for me even though the fridge was out of warranty. Problem Description: Fridge coils freezing up, causing fan to rub on ice making a loud noise. Defrosted it multiple times, problem comes back within a week or 2. A&E Services wanting to charge $361 for the repair of what they claim is a $12 sensor. A&E Factory Services tech also told me that this is the cause of 90% of the problems reported regarding Samsung refrigerators. My guess... A&E and any other Samsung Authorized Service Center is being paid off by Samsung to cover-up the actual fault, which may lie with the evaporator, as if the water is drained/evaporated correctly, should not build up as ice on the coils, in my unprofessional opinion. Keep in mind, the evaporator is covered under the Samsung 5-year warranty, but the $12 sensor is not, and their repair techs will charge you out the *you know what* ($360) to replace it. I will never buy another Samsung device as long as I live, and I will steer all my friends and family away from them.

We bought all new kitchen appliances (4) from Home Depot and they were delivered Feb. 2014 to our winter home in Florida. The dishwasher has been used under a couple of dozen times (only 2 of us) as we did not use the place much since then due to our schedules. Arrived in Florida this week and first time we tried, it failed. We got the HEAVY & the Smart Auto indications on it and nothing worked. Searching online we find that this issue is well-known and well-reported by a lot of folks and reading their comments makes us regret buying anything from Samsung. Contacting Samsung was beyond ridiculous.Justin ** | Samsung Electronics America | Social Media Support & Executive Customer Relations made these comments: ...there is no known issues with this particular model. Despite all sorts of homeowners and technical people knowing all about it? Really? And also, ...we would be unable to offer any accommodations. Nothing? That is all you got to say and all you wish to do? Really?I even sent this guy links to various review sites all describing their exact same pain and you are totally unaware? Really? Perhaps lift your head out of the sand might help? We could pay to fix it as some have, but as so many stated the repairs failed again and in some case again & again I feel the best action is to throw Samsung in the garbage pile where they belong and purchase a better and more reliable dishwasher. And now I fear the future as the range, the fridge and the microwave are also Samsung appliances. Why oh why did I buy Samsung? ARGH!!!

I bought a Samsung RF266 for ~$1,500. Within 2 years, the sensor broke and iced up and caused the fan to make noise. It was repaired, but of course, not covered under the manufacturers 5-year warranty. The repair guy told me its quite common that the sensor has issues. Having known this, I would not have purchased a Samsung fridge. It cost me about 20% of the original cost to have this fixed. As a reasonable person, I would expect issues such as this to be covered under the warranty. The warranty states, Samsung will repair or replace any part found to be defective. It also states, This limited warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. I think any reasonable person would expect a sensor to work for the full 5 years. And if not, that it should be covered under the above warranty statement. I called Samsung and the lady Ashley basically told me I should have gotten an extended warranty and it was not their issue that the sensor breaks frequently. Theres customer service for you. So I would definitely not buy any of their products going forward as well. Samsung, you guys are pretty dumb and have lost out way more than you would have if you just covered things like this under warranty.

Instead of issuing a recall, which would be the ethical thing to do, they are avoiding helping consumers find any solution at all. I posted my issue on their Facebook page and mine was the only complaint that went unanswered - likely because of the class action suit against them for just this reason. If they help you, they are admitting something was flawed with the design. I contacted them directly and I have not heard back yet. Very disappointed.

This refrigerator was not worth the money. No space to put much of anything. The electronics were hacked and I had people talking to me from another country in my kitchen. Not happy with this at all. It keeps wanting you to replace the 50 dollar water filter when you barely used it. Also door shelf already got brittle and pieces broke off where it connects to the door. Do yourself a favor and save your money. This was definitely not worth the money. I hate it.

We were warned by 2 people not to buy Samsung refrigerators because the ice makers were awful. We didnt listen because we needed a certain size and Samsung made them if you ordered it... Loved the refrigerator for the first few months. Then the ice maker started freezing up and we would have to use a hairdryer to defrost it. Then we noticed when you put ice in a cup it would drop water in it. So much you would have to dump it before putting anything in it. Within 2 years the ice maker was dripping water in one of the doors and would freeze in the bottom of the ice tray causing it to freeze up. We finally just pulled the tray out and turned the water off to it. Now we buy a bag of ice and keep it in the bottom freezer. Do not buy this refrigerator unless you want to deal with these kind of problems.

I purchased a French door refrigerator on August 2012 with model # RF217ACPN. Two months after I got the fridge, it started to make noise like popping and snapping, crackling and buzzing. I went to Best Buy and complained about it but they said that it was just normal. In 2014, my crisper started to collect water. I have to drain the water in the crisper every week. I Was wondering where that water came from. My fridge doesnt have any water hook up (for an ice maker or a water dispenser). Now, I got another problem. My freezer builds up ice!!! I am really disappointed that this expensive fridge doesnt work well. Not worth the money that I spent on this bad product!!!

Apparently I am not the only one that has had this problem. Im entirely appalled at the prospect of my 4-year old, my 7-year old, and I drinking ice water that has plastic and metal particles and pieces in it. At this point, I am not even sure how long we have been drinking contaminated product. My refrigerator is right around 3.5 years old, so it is not under parts warranty any longer, but I am confused as to why there hasnt been a recall on these icemakers? Another consumers review fits my situation exactly besides the timeline of events. I would also like to know the composition of the materials that were being sloughed off into our drinks. I just found this problem today and Samsung Customer Service is trying to make me buy new parts and pay for installation. My main concern is for my health and the health of other consumers, and in my opinion, there needs to be a recall for these ice makers and some sort of compensation due. Not just a, Well, your warranty is up, so here pay more money for some parts that probably wont fix the issue. No thank you. I have included my own photos of the plastic shaving and plastic/metal particles.

It seems to me if they knew of the design flaw they should make the adjustments at their cost.

This wash machine has a wide variety of settings for washing. The bedding and waterproof items setting is very helpful. Without the center cylinder things like this can tangle, but not so in this setting. The spin cycle does a great job. Much less dryer time is needed. The water jet inside the washer is super handy to touch up items with a stain before the load. I wondered if I would use the deep fill water option since my old machine used a lot more water. But I have not felt the need to use it yet, this washer gets clothes nice and clean without all the extra water. I love that it reminds me when it is time to clean the machine. The self clean cycle is great. You will enjoy the little chime that goes off when the load is done. Highly recommend this washer!

We purchased a Samsung French Door Style Refrigerator from our local Lowes about 6 years ago. A few years after we had it, the produce drawers started to get water in them and then started freezing into sheets of ice. It ruined produce, etc and then we couldnt use either of the drawers. It cost us at that time $200 to have it fixed. The repairman told me then that this was a common problem with this refrigerator and it had to do with the design. Just called a repairman today to come and repair my refrigerator with the very same issue. Another $250 repair into this product. Samsung should stand behind these repairs if this a poor design or defective part in this refrigerator. The next time it happens I will give the refrigerator away and never buy a Samsung again nor will I ever recommend this product to anyone.

I have a RS265TDRS French door refrigerator now for 2.5 years. The cooling coils kept freezing up and it took 2 repairs costing $300 plus to fix the issue. Now the freezer is draining water into the lower part of the freezer and after a week water drains on the floor. Samsung will not warranty the defect and I will have to pay for the fix. And goodluck have a Samsung repair service center sending a representative out in a timely manner. After 3 days waiting for service, I called the service center (John Micheals) and was told yes they had a long backlog of service request. We did but it was not available for our refrigerator. Went to youtube. My husband took the refrigerator apart like shown. Once we removed the panel, we noticed it was all rusted on one side, the screws were not all in to hold the fan in place and one side of the panel is cracked in several places. Put back together. Hopeful it will work, but will be out looking for a new refrigerator since I dont think rust and cracked panel can be good. Nothing last long anymore.....

Purchased RS261MDWP fridge from Home Depot June 24th, 2013. I noticed rust forming at lower edge of ice/water dispenser. I did not call and make complaint before warranty expired (missed by two weeks). As it turns out, it makes no difference because the rust is considered cosmetic and is not covered under warranty. I had a Samsung certified serviceman come take a look at it for repair. New door and installation would total over $500. I declined and paid the serviceman the $80 for trip charge. There is an inherent design flaw in the construction of the door. I own numerous rental homes, one of which is an ocean front weekly rental. My appliances of choice are Whirlpool. I have had no rust problems with that fridge and it is less than 200 feet from the ocean! The Samsung fridge is greatly compromised by the rust. It is very obvious and I will be replacing a 1-year-old fridge that will end up in a garage.

When our Samsung refrigerator died after only 3 yrs., we thought it a fluke
When our Samsung refrigerator died after only 3 yrs., we thought it a fluke and for some unearthly reason we purchased another Samsung. This new refrigerator is so noisy that our guests have actually asked What is that noise? After many communications back and forth with Samsung (wherein Samsung acknowledged the noisiness), and with RC Willey, Samsung sent a technician to our home to inspect the refrigerator, he determined that although the refrigerator is properly working, the loudest noise had to do with the water running into the ice maker which occurs about every 90 minutes. It is a clunking sound followed by a tinny vibration and then another clunking sound. He acknowledged the noise and asked if either Samsung or RC Willey would help us and I responded No. We spent more than $2,100 on this refrigerator and, although the refrigerator is working, the noisiness is embarrassing and even makes me jump occasionally. I requested that we be able to exchange the refrigerator for another model but Samsung has refused. Never again would we purchase a Samsung product and we may also never shop at RC Willey again as they also did nothing to help us. They could have exchanged the refrigerator but also chose not to. I am thinking of filing a small claims as we never anticipated buying a new refrigerator with these problems.

Called for repair. Replaced info panel. Now burners turn on by themselves to high heat! Had to pull stove out and unplug as it would not turn off. One side of panel gets burning hot. Too long of a list to go on.Customer service is a joke. On hold an average of 1 hour with a continual loop of telling you to get on website to schedule repair. Website is no help. Get on live chat, 45 minutes waiting for response. Nothing. Call back, one hour wait on hold. Finally to be told, someone will call me in 1 or 2 days. I cannot have their phone no. We have had nothing but problems since December 2014 when we purchased it, with 3 service orders to date. The last one is a repeat for the issue that we had less than a month ago. On top of that, Samsung uses servicing dealers that do not have parts in stock. Thus, they are allowed to order the parts based on the repair order making the customer wait the additional time for the repair. Of course, if there is another issue, you need to start all over again with a service request where they try to get you to repair it yourself using their manuals. Samsung Microwave model # SMH8165ST - I bought this microwave in May of 2011, and it has gone out on me flashing the SE error code across the keypad. Nothing helps; the breaker is not tripped and I tested the plug to make sure it works. It is completely un-usable and of course the warranty has expired. I had to pay $500 plus to get it installed over my stove and a week or so later, pay an electrician another $500 to put in a new breaker for it because it kept tripping. I have been reading a lot of reviews on Samsung models with the very same problem. It appears to me that these should have been recalled long ago, but Samsung continued to sell them.I am 73 and on a fixed income, have no husband to make repairs, and pulling the thing out of my kitchen is out of the question for the moment. It looks like Im stuck; I feel this microwave should have served me for many years no more than I use it. Next week, 7 grandchildren will be here for a week for Camp Grandy and I cant imagine not having a working microwave! Hopefully, this helps someone else. I will certainly steer away from Samsung products from now on. I gave it 2 stars because it did last almost 3 years.

Samsung microwave SMH9187 - As others describe, the microwave started to beep and the -SE- error code appears. This signifies a display panel issue. Some have had success disconnecting power source for ~15 seconds. Others had success by simultaneously holding the stop/clear and enter/start buttons for 20 seconds. Someone else recommended disconnecting the display panel. This is easy. It is easy to remove the plugs and on my model, only the two white and blue plugs at the bottom could be incorrectly swapped but the blue plug connection has the word blue clearly shown. I had disassembled and am trying to use fans to remove moisture. This malfunction occurred after a nearly two inch rainstorm, so there might be some moisture causing the failure. Samsung said they would extend the parts warranty even though I am outside the 1 year warranty, so I would need to pay for a serviceman. If it is just the display panel and if I can get the part for no cost, this is an easy install.

RF263BEAESR/AA - We bought this fridge less than two years ago. I agree with the other reviews that it is a bit noisy but thats not the worst problem we have. The ice maker is awful! The ice remains in the chute (in the door) and then melts and leaks out of the dispenser! We end up with water dripping down the front as well as inside the fridge, in the door shelves and under the produce drawer. We have to keep a folded paper towel under the dispenser constantly! We also have to open the door and reach inside the ice chute with a small spoon to scoop out whatever left over ice remains there or else it will melt and leak everywhere! We purchased our Samsung refrigerator, model # RFG238AARS on May 28, 2012. Glad we did not purchase any other Samsung appliances since. This one has been a frequent headache. In the beginning we were able to get many things fixed under warranty. We did not purchase the extended warranty. If a product is good, one should not be necessary. We have frost all through the freezer. This problem occurred during the first year of owning it and was fixed. A refrigerator that costs over $3,000 should last longer than 3 years. We also have rust in the tray under the water and ice dispenser. I thought stainless did not rust. I will never buy any appliance from Samsung again. I did call Lowes to let them know how disappointed we are with a product they carry. I wish I had seen and read the reviews I have just read of other peoples experiences with the Samsung refrigerator. We liked that it was cabinet depth and made ice in 2 places, in the door and in the freezer section. Samsung should stick with what they know and they do not know how to produce a quality refrigerator that is worth what we paid. Samsung should reimburse at least half of what we paid for this refrigerator.

I purchased a microwave last year and all of a sudden it started turning on by itself. I located on Samsung website was a sensor seems straightforward and obvious, same exact issues happening. They send a tech out who looked and bent my hinges as an attempt to “fix” a brand new microwave. As soon as tech leaves I open the microwave and close it, it turns back on so it wasn’t fixed within 5 minutes of tech leavening. I call Samsung. They schedule me again for another tech. I took off work again now 2 days. They never show up. I call Samsung and they told me they never came because the first tech said there wasn’t an issue with the microwave. Which is mind blowing considering he bent my microwave and damaged it to fix a problem that didn’t exist? And they couldn’t of told me that before I took off another day of work. So end result was hours wasted 2 days off work. No fix and they proceeded to tell me the customer that my microwave functions properly even tho it turns on by itself and turns off without any input. I have never dealt with such a terrible company who said they can’t do anything for me because at this point it’s their tech company and Samsung isn’t responsible so I’m out 2 days a work and a over the range brand new microwave now needing to be replaced. Never buy Samsung. Total scam company. I will never purchase a single thing from them ever again. They couldn’t even accept that it’s their microwave. The process for a service repair is the most inefficient process ever! We have a 1.5 yr old refrigerator where the freezer went out. We knew we were out of the warranty period, but still went through the correct channels for getting a service request. The service company came out to our home and believed they found the issue, a sealed component issue which IS covered by the 5-yr warranty. This was within a weeks period. They then order some parts for the fix, then came back out to apply the fix, but no luck. They then had to release all the gas that is in the sealed lines, inject a dye into it and come back at a later date to see where the gas leak was in the lines. At this point, we are already 2 wks in, and they came out figure where the leak was. The leak was found and they had to then schedule a return appointment since they had to order some more parts to fix the leak. 3wks go by and now the part that came in will not work, even though, it is the correct part according to Samsungs technical support and the refrigerator blueprints. Now Samsung is making the repair company jump through hoops to make sure that indeed, the part will not work, including a live video conference to show the part not being able to fit on the actual piece. Its now been almost 4 weeks, without a refrigerator. We have a 16-month old toddler, we had to purchase a used fridge just so all our current food in the fridge wouldnt go bad, and there is still NO END IN SIGHT with Samsung deeming this refrigerator IRREPARABLE and giving us a new one! I will never recommend, not buy another Samsung product again.

Samsung refrigerator faulty ice maker. This is the 4th time weve had a repairman out on fridge. The ice maker continuously freezes. He has replaced the machine with a repair kit the second time he came out. Now he is back again for the same reason.

Looking for a new fridge freezer, there standing proudly is a Samsung American style Fridge Freezer, boasting a unique 10 year warranty on the fridge freezer COMPRESSOR. We had the item 2 years when the compressor failed and had it replaced, now a 2 further years on it fails again, we call Samsung and explain our problem with the 2 year old replaced compressor and Samsung proudly informed us YES indeed we will honour our pledge displayed on our Freezers and we shall supply you with a brand new compressor, Er BUT you will have to have it installed yourself as that is the extent of our warranty, the small print if you like, Yet another customer sucked in and duped by a multinational company. Well done. Senior citizens cough up for their own idiocy of believing the embossed sign on Samsung products. Shameful but cost effective.

Samsung induction electric range model #NE599N1PBSR - almost immediately this stove top was causing grief. Purchased in Spring 2014 before summer I had placed a call to Samsung to report the problems. I was appeased by the customer service person who declared it was my pots. I had purchased very expensive induction pots and the problem still persisted. I had induction pots as soon as I bought the appliance. I thought they might be inferior. It has continued for 2 years with no solution. Samsung has no record of my problem. Over a month ago Samsungs repair person came to investigate - has been 6 weeks, no callback, I have placed 3 subsequent calls, no callback. I spoke with Samsung today... they have no record, and cant do a thing, they will NOT honor warranty even tho the first complaint was lodged before the expiry of the warranty - once again they have no record of that call. Shame on Samsung. Elements wont work, oven shots off, at best I can use 2 elements at one time. I bought 4 Samsung appliances that day and already had the dishwasher serviced also. Such a waste of money!

Purchased from Lowe’s Nov 2019. Refrigerator is so noisy. It will actually wake you up at night. Spoke to Lowe’s. They admitted customers complain about the noise of these refrigerators. Called Samsung. Told them about the noise. Told them it was installed by Lowe’s. Was told if they send a tech to look at it. If nothing actually wrong with it I would have to pay. Refrigerator is three months old now and has extended warranty. Lessons learned. Stay away from Samsung.
