We bought the stainless steel, french door model, with a bottom freezer. It was quite expensive, just under $2700 with tax. The big lure for us was that it has two ice makers, one up top where the ice comes out through the door, and one inside the bottom freezer where it just falls into a bin. Well, shortly after the warranty expired, the bottom icemaker stopped working. We called in a Samsung approved repairman and the cost to fix the icemaker was $448! WOW! We did not have it repaired, because we thought the cost of the repair was outrageous. Also, the remaining working icemaker (the top one), when set to dispense cubed ice, spits out some cubes and a LOT of bits & pieces of ice. Note: We do NOT go back and forth between cubed and crushed on the ice selection; it stays at cubed all the time. We probably will not ever buy Samsung appliances again.

Water constantly leaks and pools under vegetable drawers. We must chip ice away every few days so that food doesnt freeze. This fridge has the ice maker and water/ice dispenser on door. We turned off the ice maker and disconnected the water thinking it would stop the water leaking but it did not. Ice maker worked great but the water leak is ridiculous. We will never purchase another Samsung refrigerator again.

We bought a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator three years ago. Last year, the vegetable drawers started getting water in them. We called a SEARS repairman who fixed the problem temporarily ($200), but told us the problem would return, as these refrigerators are low quality. He was right. We now have to buy a new refrigerator. Last week the handle broke off the Samsung microwave which is not quite two years old.

We bought our Samsung fridge in Dec 2014. In June 2018 we called Samsung 6 times because our ice maker stopped working. Nobody would call us to schedule an appt to come and fix it. We had to have it repaired for by ourselves (was told no one will work on warranty repairs on Samsung because they take too long to get their money from them). Now a year later the refrigerator side of the unit is completely out and not working, and we are going through the same thing all over again, no call backs from Samsung’s warranty repair people in our area. I had to move all my chilled items to a cooler and to my old garage Whirlpool fridge that is over 12 yrs old and it still works great, even in the summer heat in FL in a garage. I will be buying a Whirlpool again this weekend. Never again Samsung! They need to stick to making cell phones because they suck at making appliances, and their customer service stinks and reputation sucks!

A small plastic bracket that supports the upper ice maker in my french door
A small plastic bracket that supports the upper ice maker in my french door refrigerator (RF 323TEDBSR) broke. I have spent more than two months with Samsungs official parts department, J & J International, Inc. trying to obtain the part. Initially they told me that the part I needed was the assembly case and auger motor. I couldnt believe it but they swore it was an integrated part. I ordered it to the tune of $175. When it arrived I took it out and it was immediately clear that it was the wrong part. So I called and received a Return Authorization number. I was told that I would receive a shipping label by email. After a week, I called again and was told that it hadnt come to me because they only make these labels up on Wednesdays! I was instructed to wait a few more days. I did, no label. I called again and was told that they had misspelled my email address and would send it again within the hour. I waited two days and contacted on-line customer service. They also told me that my email was misspelled (what, again?) that they had spelled office with two Is instead of two fs. Customer service told me that they had alerted the proper person to the problem. When I asked for that persons information, I was told that it doesnt speak to the public. Nice!Oh, the reason they authorized the return is that the bracket, which is held in place by three small screws is a non-serviceable part because it was installed before the case was foamed in for insulation. They might as well have told me that there was no such part in my refrigerator. They think that they can give you an stupid excuse. Actually, it is a piece of plastic, the size of my hand, that weighs about two ounces. Worth two dollars at most but Id gladly pay $20 because, without it, I have no upper ice maker. I have been in touch with Samsungs Executive Offices to no avail. A company that doesnt support its own products should be forced out of business. I bought this refrigerator from Lowes. I think they should consider the effect on their customers by continuing to advertise and sell this garbage. No more for me.

This is a beautiful refrigerator with some handy features. I had been hesitant to buy one because of all the ice-maker problems I was reading about. I was told at the store that the 2019 models had ice-makers that were redesigned so not to worry. My refrigerator was installed almost 4 days ago. The ice-maker is working, but it makes VERY LITTLE ice at one time and takes FOREVER to make another batch. The ice is stored in a bin that is not easily accessible. Ice must be accessed primarily by using the water/ice feature on the front of the door. There is no bin one can reach into. Part of the ice-maker must be pulled out of the refrigerator in order to reach your hand in to empty all ice. I heave read reviews from various consumers debating the ice volume issue. I had read that many thought the ice production was fine. IT IS NOT. If you enjoy ice in your drinks, you would barely have enough for a family of four. Then, it takes forever for it to be replenished. I live in Texas. It is hot here more often than not. We like plenty of ice in our drinks. This refrigerator is not up to the task. In fact, I have never seen an ice bin so small or one that you couldnt reach in and get the ice easily. This was an expensive purchase. Had I known about this redesigned ice-makers limitations, I would never have bought it. I will need to routinely purchase a bag of ice to keep in the freezer at all times. Other than the ice-maker, I have no other complaints at this time.

We purchased this range in the Fall of 2016, Model #NE58K9430, with digital dials. There are several things that are disappointing. It is very hard to keep the glass top clean (this is not my first glass top range). Cannot use pot or pan that is not smooth on the bottom as it will scratch the surface. Consequently, I had to purchase new cookware. If you get too close to the digital panel, even your clothes will make it come on. If you get too close, the lock will come on and the only way to get it off is to flip the fuse box!!! I am short and reaching over to clean the top, the timer button will come on, the warmer button will come on, the self clean button will come on, and that is with only clothing touching. I am at the point of throwing this in the garbage dump. No wonder Lowes had it on sale, which even at $1000 it was no deal. Cannot find order info, but was purchased at Lowes Hardware, N. Myrtle Beach SC. I would NEVER recommend Samsung Appliances to anyone.

We purchased the Samsung RF28HDEDBSR/AA. One of the reasons we purchased this refrigerator is because of the great rating on Consumer Guide. The ice maker has a problem with water leaking into the maker and then freezing so it completely stops the making process, I had to pull out the maker & chip away at the frozen ice (think before self defrosting freezers), not a fun time. The ice maker when working dispensed the ice horribly. I had a tech here & he said they see this problem all the time and would never recommend a Samsung fridge because of the huge design flaw in the ice maker, there is no way to repair/fix the problem. He recommended LG or GE, We purchased an LG, and no problems, I have the Samsung in the garage as a 2nd fridge (no water to it). I have a friend I visited a month ago, she has the same problem! Now she is having frost in her bottom freezer, the tech told her to use a hair dryer. What a joke this refrigerator is, for the money it should work!!

We purchased a Samsung RF263 in 2011 side by side doors with bottom freezer. Within a few months various parts of the interior began to crack, annoying for such an expensive refrigerator but not fatal. The real problems began when the ice maker began to malfunction. It got so bad that we had it repaired outside of the main warranty this past May and it worked fine for about 8 or 9 weeks and started to malfunction again. After speaking with Samsung today the contracted repair company said that I would have to pay for a new repair to the unit because it was 93 days since the original (outside the 90 day window). Samsung, when I called back were no help at all and of course hid behind their policies. I explained to them and to the repair company that I didnt feel it was fair to have to pay for a repair twice, when the original repair was obviously inadequate. I would recommend never buying a Samsung refrigerator as they are not well made for the price and their customer service is designed to give as little to the consumer as possible. Also, I would advise purchasing an extended warranty on a refrigerator that you pay over $1500 for as one repair costs more than the warranty itself.

This is the third time in less than 2 years that we have had to order replacement parts for what we thought was a fantastic product. First in 13 months after purchase the left vegetable drawer had to be replaced because a piece broke off, then 6 months later one of the door bins on the right refrigerator door cracked and broke. Today I have ordered hinges for both the left and right vegetable drawers which have cracked pieces. Purchased a 4 door Samsung refrigerator (#RF25HMEDBSR/AA) in 9/03/14. It took almost 6 weeks to receive it. About 6 months after we purchased, two problems occurred. One with the flex temperature control drawer and the other was the ice maker. The ice maker started leaking every time ice was dispensed and would freeze up. We called customer service and a service man came out only to tell us that the ice maker was leaking water due to the humidity, which was totally ridiculous! A part was replaced, but in a month or so, same thing happened. A couple of months same thing. Again it was looked at (nothing was replaced), then on the fourth time, same issue.By this time warranty is out and again same issues and we were told that we would be paying for parts and labor since it was. This made absolutely no sense since it was an ongoing issue. They finally told us that we would have to pay the diagnosis fee and the labor and this time Samsung would pay for the parts. That was in March of this year, when several parts were replaced, and this afternoon the ice maker had to be warmed up with the hair dryer again for the second time, since repairs, to melt the ice AGAIN! This is not an inexpensive refrigerator, so you would expect better service and a much better product! I am not happy that we had to pay for a service charge and labor since we had been having same issue almost from the beginning of purchase! Very, very disappointed in this product!

Purchased a kitchen package (minus dishwasher) just 2 years ago... refrigerator, stovetop and microwave. With the exception of the microwave, we have had significant issues with the performance. So much so, in fact, that even though its only 2 years old, rather than repairing the stove... which blew something during a self-cleaning cycle, shut down and remains locked even after 3 days. We are trashing it and buying ANYTHING BUT Samsung. Remodeled kitchen at the Shore. Bought Samsung Refrigerator and dishwasher.
Remodeled kitchen at the Shore. Bought Samsung Refrigerator and dishwasher. After reading Consumer report. Right off the bat dishes were always wet, never dried, had to hand dry. Called Samsung and was told to turn my hot water heater up and use on sanitize and heavy load settings. (This is great way to save energy.) This really did not accomplish much. Dishes still wet, still had to be dried by hand. This dishwasher is only used on weekends in the summer maybe at most it was used 20 times the first year. Second summer by 4th of July used around 6 times and a grinding noise started. Not all the time but at end of cycle. Called repair person (independent) 4 people refused to work on Samsung. I found one repair person who I paid $200 dollars to come and he told me I needed a new motor, which would be upward of $300. Washed the dishes for the remainder of that year. Third summer, called Sears, got a service contract for all products purchased from them, $300. Sears came and replaced pump, and said there was lots of plastic rack clips in pump, we counted 4. I never raise or lower the rack. The clips broke from just simply pulling it out and pushing it back. I was instructed to do this gently. That was 4 weeks ago. SE light came on and dishwasher stopped, after at tops 6 uses and gently moving the rack back and forth running hot water for 3-4 min. until very hot before turning on dishwasher at heavy and sanitize load. After a two week wait for service and another week for parts Sears is scheduled to come and replace pump and motor and all the rack clips. This will still be under my repair agreement with Sears (thank Goodness). So far my 3 year old Samsung DMR78DHS $800 plus delivery and installation has cost me $500. That is $1300. divided by the times used 30 = $43.33 each times it has been used. WOW!!! Not counting energy cost. I have no expectation that this scheduled repair will last. I hope it will until the end of summer and I will plan on buying a new dishwasher. I will under no circumstance buy another Samsung product. I wouldnt pay sales tax on another Samsung product if they gave me one. Not worth the trouble.

Will never purchase another Samsung anything. Purchased 28 cu ft refrigerator year and half ago. Problems w/ the ice maker from the day I purchased. Same as other customers - ice maker noisy and would freeze up. You call Samsung and they walk you through everything you have already done and then refer you to another number that will get back to you. When they do they leave a message to call back to the original number. Called again and was told Id be referred to an authorized repair dealer. Then notified 3 days later that there was none in my area. I did some searching and found one who stated they were. They came out the next day and found the problem (definitely Warranty) but fridge was over year old. I had been dealing with this problem since I purchased it and was told noise was normal. Took about 39 min for technician to discover the ice maker was assembled incorrectly from the factory. He reassembled it and put it back in and the ice maker has been working well (its terribly slow) for 4 days now. No knocking and loud noises. Interesting that he figured it out and Samsung didnt have a clue. Apparently they have been installed in the factory incorrectly. Ill gladly join a class action suit against them! Samsung doesnt seem to care about the consumer at all. Samsung Blue Ray DVD player just quit after approximately a year. Had been a gift from our daughter. I love the fridge when it works but am very worried reading other complaints. Ice maker was terrible until technician from Back Canyon City (small town north Phoenix) came to the rescue. I bought model RF217ACPN./XAA (freezer drawer on bottom, french door refrig on top) and it died in less than a year.... Drawers filled with water and starts making this horrible sound non-stop. Samsung has sent people here FOUR TIMES and the issue persists. After HOURS of phone calls/complaints/pleads with them to get people out to fix it, they kept saying we are now out of warranty, even though the issue has never been fixed since day one.... Finally, they sent out a tech who said it can not be fixed but I am now in limbo waiting for a replacement or buy back... They are trying to wear me down but they have picked the wrong person as I will move hell and high water for justice... We were so happy when we bought our first new fridge, and it didnt last a year and all the time and days off of work for technicians to come out and it STILL isnt fixed. Nobody has time to deal with this every few months and no one has an extra 2,000 to buy a new fridge a year after buying the 1st one. There has to be lemon laws about this and I am shocked to see how many people have the same experience. I found a class action suit everyone should look into. Even if your model is not listed, sign up... If it falls through, we should start a new one because there are too many similar stories here of people getting ripped off by Samsung! We bought a beautiful looking RF30HBEDBSSR/AA and had nothing but trouble with the ice maker. Samsung will not come up with a solution or stand behind their product. We thought about replacing the ice maker but Samsung has not corrected the problem, so buying a new one will not solve the problem! We have to defrost the freezer the old fashion way, with hot water. We are tired of doing this process because we have to keep the refrigerator doors cracked open so it wont start freezing again. By doing this we have lost perishable goods. We have replaced our Washer and Dryer with a different brand because Samsung wont fix the problem and now we are replacing our refrigerator even though its not that old! Next well replace our range. We started replacing our TVs also. NO MORE SAMSUNG!!!!

Hello, I dont normally get on this and write reviews but the phone call I just had with Samsung just blew my mind. Weve had our stove for 2 years. I just noticed today that the exterior front of the stove is peeling off. It is extremely unsightly and never seen any other product stove peel like this or had had these kinds of issues. Should this be happening after 2 years? This peeling clearly states (from the outside) that its a cheaply made product. The best part is that I called Samsung to see if there is possibly anything we can do for this and to let them know that this is happening. They had no recourse whatsoever and that there is no warranty to cover such a thing.I kindly explained that now, its a thing and asked if theyd be able at least give me some idea on how to go about fixing this issue and they said, no. Then I said, Well then unfortunately Im going to have to write negative review. Is this what your company wants? and then they gave me a dissertation of why I should do that and where the information goes. With all of this said, wouldnt Samsung rather have a positive review by at least someone saying I called Samsung about my peeling stove and that even though there was no warranty to cover this, they provided me with a few service, or with some resources to help fix this issue.

We purchased a Samsung Electric Range Model NE597ROABSR/AA in October 2012. After using it for about 2 months, the range started smoking and quit working. We called Samsung and had a tech come out. He found a wire had arced and burned in the back of the Range. He fixed the problem but I am very concerned about using the range. Afraid it will catch fire. I believe a range two months old should not have a wire burn out and the risk of danger to my family of catching on fire. The tech said he had repaired another range that had the same problem. I will not purchase anything with the Samsung name on it because this is not the only appliance I have had a problem with.

Samsung Refrigerator RF28HFEDBBC/AA- This refrigerator has problems with the ice maker. Ice builds up on the interior of the ice maker and has to be cleared at least once a month. The ice comes out wet and the dispenser in the door leaks water continuously. There is also a problem with water leaking into the bottom of the refrigerator and then freezing so you cannot easily pull out your meat drawer. Samsung claims no issues with the unit but from what I see on the internet that is not accurate.Attached is their response: Thank you for contacting Samsung. I see that the ice maker is not freezing, and ice builds up at the top of the unit and cubes come out wet. Also, the water is leaking and filling the reservoir in the door. I know how bothering this issue could be. Samsung does strive to produce quality products and provide best service. However, your experience doesnt reflect this. Samsung products are designed by dedicated and skilled engineers after extensive technical research. We dont have any reported issues with this refrigerator model. Its disheartening to know that you are experiencing these issues. We dont like to see our customers unhappy or inconvenienced; however, Samsung provides 12 months of warranty from the date of purchase. If your refrigerator is out of warranty, you have to pay for the service.A service request was filed for this issue and it was cancelled, as there was no service center available in your area. Since your refrigerator is out of warranty, you may get it repaired locally at your discretion. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. This is what I received from them. Interesting fact I already had the ice maker looked at during warranty and there is a service center in my area. So they dont support the product and dont know who they have in the area to repair the product. Do not buy Samsung refrigerators. No support.

We bought a Samsung side-by-side fridge at Lowes. I wish we never had. The icemaker started making loud noises after about 9 months. Repairman fixed it under warranty. A few months later it started again. Ill give Samsung NA credit for repairing it out-of-warranty but now, about a year later it has started up again. Ive bought 20 and 30 year old fridges from Goodwill when I was a student that worked better, quieter for a LOT less money (like $25!). Never again.

We purchased a new home in 2009 and purchased stainless steel Samsung appli
We purchased a new home in 2009 and purchased stainless steel Samsung appliances for our new kitchen. French door refrigerator; over the stove microwave and range to the tune of over $6,000. In 2010 the refrigerator was leaking water under one of the trays. It was still under warranty so they sent a repairman who attempted to fix it. Said he couldnt but he tried. Also said that these refrigerators all have this problem. It is something with the thermostat, etc. We consistently had this problem, we had to remove the draw, chip away the ice and then use a hair dryer to thaw out the back wall of the refrigerator where the water line was located IN THE REFRIGERATOR. We had repairmen (several different ones came out for about 6 more times) all to no avail. They installed new parts, etc. Great inconvenience to say the least. Samsung finally refunded the purchase price of my refrigerator. The range was no better. In 2011, after the extended warranty we purchased expired, the broiler coil burnt out (according to the repairman) and had to be replaced. I asked him if there was anything he could do because I couldnt afford another repair. He said he could solder it but it was a temporary fix. He was right. About 10 months later the stove wouldnt work. Had to have the broiler coil replaced. Range is now working.Microwave started doing strange things in early 2013. It would go on by itself and I was afraid it would cause a fire. I called and the repairman, he came out and said it was only the fan that was going while the door was closed and he couldnt fix it because he felt it was a defect in the product. He didnt want to incur a huge bill for me when he didnt know what was wrong. He contacted Samsung and they wouldnt talk to him because he wasnt on their list of repairmen. The microwave operated fine, as for cooking, etc. with the fan always on when it was opened. In 2015 the whole thing just died. No error message, nothing. It just ceased working. I will never, ever purchase anything, other than a TV, from Samsung. They should stick with what they do best, TV sets. I now have to purchase a new microwave which has to be installed because it is an above range built in. The one we purchased was a high end and cost over $600. Didnt think it would only last 6 years. I had my other microwave for over 13 years and it worked fine. Waiting for the other shoe to drop on the range.

I was so happy to be able to afford to finally be able to buy this refrigerator for my family (model RF323TEDBSR). Mine was manufactured Apr 2012, but we did not buy it until Feb 2013. I used to drool over the commercials of the big, happy family that was loading their shiny refrigerator with lots of groceries and pine for the day where I could actually afford that refrigerator for my family. We have 8 children, 6 who are still home full time, and this was touted as a big refrigerator for big families.Initially, I was very happy with my purchase. It definitely lives up to all the space. The first grocery trip that I was able to fit everything into our new fridge prompted me to put pictures on social media. I was so tickled with it. Unfortunately, the honeymoon was a short one and my relationship with this refrigerator quickly soured. I had issues with a code that kept alarming that was repaired under warranty. The lower ice maker quit working altogether, but it was also repaired. That is all well and good, but its harder than you think to find an appliance repairman who works on Samsung products at all, but especially the refrigerator. Its apparently even harder to actually get parts for the poor thing. As of today, my fridge is a total piece of junk that is a daily reminder of how I was ripped off for over $2500 (and I got a huge discount by being a smart shopper and combining discounts and a coupon). As of today, I am missing 4 of the door bins. All of the bigger ones on the right side where there should be lots of space for condiments, milk and more, they are broken and unusable. I have not been able to obtain any replacements for them at all. Even when narrowing them down on Samsungs website (do you know how many different door bins there are?!), I could not possibly spend the exorbitant prices they are asking... Keep in mind, its still under extended warranty, but the warranty does not cover such things. There is no handle on the freezer. The replacement one fell off, too. I usually have to open a fridge door to open the freezer. The bin inside the freezer has cracked and one has been pulled out because it was not staying in place anymore. The pantry door is gone. It was replaced once, but the second cracked in the same manner and it has not been replaced. The pantry drawer itself is also damaged and comes off the track much too easily. The upper ice maker is completely dead. It stopped making ice awhile ago, though the water still worked. The water used to be fun to try and see if it wanted to work that day. Some days youd push the dispenser down, the light would come on and nothing would happen for awhile. It eventually stopped dispensing water at all. So now no ice or water up top. The repairman fixed it once, but its now broken again. And yes, the filter has been replaced with a genuine Samsung filter. When it was fixed, the entire apparatus that holds the filter was replaced. But again, no ice up top and no water. There is a crack on the white plastic on one shelf portion over the crisper on one side and a larger chunk cracked out on the other, to the point the glass shelf edge is partially exposed. So much for humidity control.More recently, the fridge seems to be running warmer and my produce is dying off at an alarming rate. I am now looking at replacing a 2.5 year old fridge (which is still under an extended warranty!) that I feel totally duped into believing was actually meant for a family. I used to love this thing, now I hate it, and that makes me sad.

Even a small amount of research on Samsung dishwashers should send you screaming in horror at the thought of buying this product. Ive never written a negative product review until today, but I am compelled to warn anyone with money in his or her pocket and a hankering for a shiny new dishwasher to shop elsewhere. Just dont do it. You will be glad you didnt. This PoS I have has been a clunker from the beginning. The writing wore off the front panel in just months. It thumps when it runs. It has been down and broken more times than I can count, from input valve to water sensor to spray arms that wont stay on to fragile wheels to not draining, to not filling and worst of all, to the longest freaking dishwashing cycle I have ever seen while still not getting my dishes clean. Thank God I fix my own stuff, otherwise this $800 dishwasher would have cost me TRIPLE in repairs. It is a CONSTANT thorn in my side... constant. I have sworn off Samsung products of all kinds forever and weekly I remind my four young children to never ever ever ever buy a Samsung product. You would DO well to join them, for your sake.

Similar to what has been stated, our brand new ME21H706MQS Microwave unit caught fire after the 4th use. We are engineers so we caught it, put out the fire and unplugged it. We called Samsung the next day and they told us that we needed a receipt to get reimbursed. Brand new home, just built, so we had to ask builder for info. Turns out he purchased it at Home Depot who does not participate in the Samsung replacement program. They will reimburse the cost of the unit and no more; no removal or installation fee unless we have proof we paid to get it installed. So now my builder needs to invoice himself for the installation so I can get someone to remove it and install an over the range hood in its place. Even GE microwaves have reported fires and failures. Will not replace the unit and will reheat food the old fashion way instead.

My Samsung refrigerator is about 4 y/o and started leaking from the ice maker. It flooded part of my house. I contacted Samsung who said they would consider paying for damage and send someone out within 1-2 business days. On day 2 I received a call to set up an appointment. We set it for the next day in the morning. I took off work to do this and the next morning I received a call saying they would be here later in the afternoon. I explained they set up the appointment for am not pm and they didnt care. I explained I wouldnt be home and they didnt care. I would have to reschedule and go even longer without a refrigerator. This whole process has been a headache. The people have been less than nice at best and this just tops it off. I bought new Samsung refrigerator and washer/dryer set about the same time and the last 2 months have had issues with all of them. If I had known they wouldnt last past 4 years I wouldnt have bought them. It is very difficult to find a Samsung repairman in Houston. Nobody wants to work on them. I called several companies that wont touch them. They say they have too many issues fixing and getting parts for them. I will no longer purchase any Samsung product. Not worth the hassle or the money apparently.

In 2014 we bought a Samsung dishwasher at Lowes. We had always bought Bosch but the deal being offered by Lowes/Samsung was too hard to pass up, I wish we had. I wont bother with the model number because after reading the reviews here it is obvious it doesnt matter, they all have problems. I am pretty good at fixing things myself and our dishwasher is still running, but I have better things to do in my retirement than fix a dishwasher! If you go to Youtube you will find many videos showing you how to fix your Samsung. My advice is DO NOT BUY a Samsung dishwasher! If you own one, make sure you put a cup of vinegar in AFTER the wash cycle starts, (this is particularly important if you are on a well and not public water). If you do it before you start the dishwasher, it will pump the vinegar down the drain upon startup. Also after each wash, clean the door gasket at the bottom of door where it attaches to the dishwasher. Black gunk/mold builds up there, pretty disgusting. Based on reading other reviews, if you are out of warranty and cant do your own repair, take your loss, and put your hard earned money into purchasing another dishwasher.

I purchased the Samsung SMH9187ST microwave in May 2011 and installed it in July 2011. The unit failed on September 1, 2012! I barely used it, too. There was no SE error code as Ive been hearing or beeping, just a blank display and no response. I unplugged the unit for about an hour and replugged it - no luck. I left it unplugged for 2 days and then it worked again for about a week and today the unit is again completely unresponsive, even after trying to plug it back in after 2 days of being unplugged. Im in for a class action suit. The company has ripped a lot of people off and should have a complete recall on these units. My biggest beef is that this unit was a pain to install and now Im looking at dismantling and reinstalling another unit. Im not so upset about the loss of $245 I paid for it but rather all of my time and frustration. Im done with Samsung.

7, yes, 7 Samsung fridges since May 2011 and not one has lasted. Tried side by sides and moved all the way up to 4 high-end French door models on sale for half price due to holidays. I can see why they can sell these lemons for so cheap, because they are junk. Nothing but major issue after major issue. Samsung could care less. My retailer was good, but even they kept saying “no way you could get so many defective fridges.” Oh, yes, I can and did. I have the service records to prove it; not that that means much considering every technician was clueless with no idea how to fix it. So they just try one or two things and when it doesn’t fix anything, they just say: “Defective, can’t be fixed.” And of course that’s only if they actually show up for the scheduled service call. Personally, I think Samsung should pull every model fridge they sell off of store shelves and should not be allowed to sell these obvious lemons to the public unless they learn how to make a fridge that works and one that can be fixed if something goes wrong. Why won’t the govt step in and stop Samsung immediately? Makes no sense that our governing bodies will not or have not yet, stepped in to the picture and make Samsung recall all fridges until they prove they can make a reliable fridge. Samsung’s are lemons, plain and simple, and should not be allowed to be sold to consumers in the U.S. If other countries want Samsung lemons, then that is their choice; but here in the USA, no way should they be allowed to sell these inferior lemons! Never will I ever go near any Samsung product ever again. Was actually looking at a new Samsung HD TV, but no way will I support Samsung or give them another penny of my money ever!

I would like the same solution and have contacted Samsungs Repair Department and spoke to Vladimir in the Executive Customer Relations Department, reference number **. He told me there was nothing he could do and that there was no design flaw and no recall. I think all of the Samsung appliance owners who cant believe this rhetoric should band together and make sure that people DO NOT PURCHASE SAMSUNG products if they cant acknowledge when they have problems and then also do nothing to rectify those problems. I purchased the Samsung OTC Microwave SMH9087ST from Sears in 11-2010. The microwave started having problems. About 6 months later, it was showing SE error on the display and nothing would work. I got the troubleshooting info offline and it told how to flip the circuit breaker and reset it. I did that and once in a while, it worked but would always go back to SE error. In 12-2011, it began to randomly turn itself off and on in the middle of the night, and throughout the day. The light would kick on. The fan would turn on and off. It starts beeping. It has gotten so frightening we keep it unplugged now and it wont reset at all now. Sears says it is beyond the warranty when I called in Dec. 2011. I have seen tons of complaints posted on them but no one will do anything. Samsung is in denial and Sears is worthless. This refrigerator (Model RF263Teasesr) is 2 years old and nothing but problems. Water continually drips down door. Frost continually builds up in the twin cooling portion and within the icemaker. Nice looking fridge that cost $1600 and does not work. Never, never buy a Samsung fridge. Their help line is staffed by people who try to be polite but are of absolutely no help. To make matters worse, their warranty which supposedly covers defects in materials and workmanship one year and five years is irrelevant. The only way to determine on the extreme off chance something is covered is if a Samsung approved repair person services it. The closest repair person is over 120 miles away - so guess how much that repair bill will be that is not covered by Samsung. I will say it again, NEVER EVER buy these appliances. I would never recommend Samsung products and the customer service is completely lame. I have a Samsung washing machine that had a recall because the drum wobbled so much. It wobbled so much that it loosened a hose and poured water all over my house…. My laundry is on my second level and I have a cat walk that water poured down into my living room and hallway on my first level and ran through my ceiling on my first level and through my walls down to my basement…leaving water spots on my first level ceiling and damaging several ceiling tiles in my finished basement. I didn’t notice all of the damage and the damaged tiles in the basement until months later when I had another issue with the washing machine and Samsung sent a third-party service company out here to repair it. They repaired the machine and left. Unfortunately, the service company called, Unique Repair (who I would never recommend, as they do not stand behind their work) managed to forget to connect the hose, which led to another incident of water pouring from my second level down my first level and through my walls to the basement. Fortunately, I was able to get the service techs back quickly to stop the machine and drain it, although the damage had already been done. We went into the basement; the service tech also taking his own photos. This second time around the water even damaged more basement ceiling tiles and left stains on my first level ceiling. Both companies, the service company and Samsung are trying to put the blame on each other. How lame of Samsung, since it is Samsung’s faulty washing machine, under warranty and Samsung sent the third party out here to represent them. The first time it happened it was solely on Samsung. The second time on the repair company. Either way, somebody should be responsible for the damage caused in my house. I have suggested to both companies that they split it, but they do not respond and or communicate with each other. Samsung does not stand behind their products. I am an innocent consumer that has been extremely inconvenienced twice by this Samsung washing machine and damage caused to my home, and Samsung support has been completely lame. Nonresponsive and not willing to provide any resolution. I would never recommend purchasing from Samsung. The last I spoke to Samsung customer support she was closing my case, I had no previous knowledge that my case was being closed, because it had been two weeks and she wanted me to provide quotes for the repair. During the world crisis going on it was difficult to get someone out here to quote me on the repair. Actually, It was against the law at the time, as nonessential workers would be fined if working during that time. I finally provided her with one quote and waiting to get another, so she would reopen the case, and she has not responded to me. I’ve reached out multiple times with no response. Seriously, what kind of company operates like this? I am a business owner myself and I would never treat my clients/customers this way. I stand behind my work. I’ve had to spend numerous hours dealing with both companies and getting nowhere. When I did nothing to cause this situation. I’m sure they are hoping to wear me down.

Very disappointing.... I didnt expect that bad customer service experience. They just dont care. Bought fridge on November 14 Directly from Samsung.com. Shipping company couldnt deliver, rescheduled 4 times. In the end they said.. they lost a fridge and dont know where it is and when is going to be delivered. Called Samsung - basically Samsung said: We dont care if you cancel order. I cancel my order and I will never buy Samsung again... not a fridge... not a tv... and wont recommend Samsung to any of my friend/Family. Buy something else, NOT SAMSUNG. Order # **

Let it be known that Samsung has terrible customer service and dont stand behind their name nor products. I have a refrigerator (Model# RF28HMEDBBC/AA) that is just over a year old that is rusting on the outside as well as the black coating peeling off. They are telling me it is Cosmetic Damage and not covered. I could buy a new door if I am not happy. I understand Cosmetic Damage but this is not a scratch! It is rust!!! I have contacted them numerous times only to be told they can have a service tech come and take a look but I have to pay for it. The complaint escalated to higher customer service just to tell me that they have not previous complaints about this so there is nothing they could do.

Ice maker now dispenses crushed and cube together while on cube program, this issue never happened before Ice maker went out. Their Separate service company says it needs a new part to correct new problem and costs an additional fee! Samsung unwilling to send new part at their cost. Had this refrigerator for 10 years and had problems with the freezer size. The service dept sucks!!! With Samsung, no regular appliance repair will touch it since they cannot source any spares unless you are an authorized service center. Result = lousy service!! We had the tech come in last month and after talking to some superiors over the phone half the time, said it was a thermostat issue. No spare on hand despite the fact that the symptoms were well described to the Samsung call in center over 2 calls of 30 mins each. Replaced a thermostat which he claimed was not meant for this model and guess what? Broke down in 1 month and had to call again. Despite asking for not sending the same guy again, they sent him. Fine, this time he opened out the fridge fully and claimed some more parts are defective and could not explain why this could not be determined earlier. Anyway, long story short, we went out and bought a GE fridge and decided NEVER SAMSUNG again.

I have had issues with my four-door refrigerator the last 6 weeks. We had noticed the frozen foods werent quite as frozen as they should be and then the ice maker stopped dumping ice. I had noticed previously that the ice in the holder always froze against the right-hand side of the bucket and would stop dispensing ice. I then noticed the ice maker would fill with water and would produce ice but never dumped it. I hit the reset button and it worked perfectly. It never would begin normal ice production on its own, and I had to continually hit the reset button for ice to be dumped ever two hours. Now, the freezer has become the fridge! No ice now and all of the food in that portion are thawed, just water in the ice tray that never freezes. I called the helpdesk (almost said it with a straight face) and they could do nothing except send a serviceman to repair the unit at my cost. I asked if they would guarantee their work and she said that they could only try and fix it. I told her to me try was not a guarantee of it being fixed. I asked if they would stand behind the work of their suggested contractors and she said again, they would try and fix it.I am anxiously awaiting a call from the repairman to see the cost of him driving to my house and the estimated charges he thinks he will have. I will ask him if HE stands behind his work since Samsung won’t. If it goes as it has with all of the other customers on this site, I will NOT be buying a new refrigerator from Samsung, and I will contact Lowe’s and tell them of my displeasure with one of their distributors.

We purchased a Samsung kitchen bundle (microwave, refrigerator, oven and dishwasher) from Home Depot. A week after installation the microwave caught fire and created a burned hole on the inside of the microwave. Contacted Samsung and have been spinning for 2 weeks now as they will not replace this unit, only repair it. At this point we paid for a BRAND NEW unit, 2 weeks ago, and we have zero confidence in the reliability and safety of this unit being repaired. Samsung has been very unresponsive to our request. Cannot believe that big corporations can treat people in this way. Taking our hard earned money and not replacing like for like.

Bought range (MODEL FTQ 353IWUX-XAA) & 5 other Samsung appliances May 30, 2011 at Lowes in Belmont, NC. While at home, range started making noises smoking from back control panel July 2013 - like blew up - tried to contact Samsung even though out of warranty. They were slow to respond. Finally set up service through them - $90. Technician said this is a common occurrence with this model - they will repair for $400. Going online for reviews, this is happening frequently with this model. Samsung knows of this defect but will not help...

Our over the range stainless steel MWO was installed professionally on 12/28/12. On March 2, 2015 the little plastic piece inside the stainless steel handle (now theres construction for you) to which the handle is attached to the door cracked and fell out. The small 50 cent piece cannot be purchased of course, a full handle assembly to the tune of $56 is required for this fix. No sooner does the handle arrive in the mail, that the hook-clasp spring inside the door stops functioning and now the door wont even stay shut. This model has the electronics in the door, so replacement is about half the cost of the microwave.A phone call to Samsung this morning (3/18/2015) yielded nothing but frustration. I feel like I am a pretty good Samsung customer with the Samsung Range, Samsung Refrigerator, Samsung 10 tablet, 2 Samsung smart phones and 2 Samsung Smart TVs (40 & 50) and 2 Samsung DVD Players. I would think that level of customer would command a certain amount of loyalty from the company. After climbing up to the 1st level of supervisor, my frustration wouldnt allow me chase it further, since they both did the same search for recalls or problems and essentially used the same word tracks. So now I walk the walk of how much to spend on repairs: The MWO is available at Lowes for $449. Installation/delivery is $125. Repairs: $56 for the new handle; $75 Repairman Trip; a new door costs $200. Refrigerator: The door shelf has had to be replaced to the tune of $80. Samsung looks pretty but seems to lack good construction and durability. I never had any issues with any of my GE appliances; nor those that we sold when I was in remodel construction. Guess Ill go back to GE.

I bought model RF28JBEDBSG less than 2 and a half years ago. For paying over $2000, you would think its going to be an excellent appliance. Since day one, we hated the ice maker. Barely makes any ice. But little by little the ice maker freezes up and the ice blocked up. So we started buying bagged ice. So to fix it, we unload the refrigerator and let the ice melt so we can get into the ice machine to remove the ice. This has happened multiple times even Christmas eve dinner. So I researched the problem and realized there are thousands of people with the same problem along with a class action lawsuit for the same issue Im having. Then someone mentioned the temperature not regulating properly. So I got a thermometer and seen that I have it set for 34 degrees and the temp inside was 20 to 44 degrees that I have seen with my own eyes. Over 40 degrees is unsafe for food. They are giving some people a horrible time getting a fix or even a refund. DONT BUY!!!!

In 2011 we purchased a Samsung model # DMT800RHS dishwasher. It required 2 service calls within the 1st year: once because we had to keep flipping the breaker to get it to turn on and once for a problem with the control panel. The racks are held together with plastic clips. The top rack has two positions. After only 2 years, many of the plastic clips are broken, and now the rack will not stay in the up position. One of the rungs (which is also held together with plastic clips) will not stay in the upright position because of the broken clips. We also purchased an electric range and French door refrigerator. We have had one service call on the range. So far the only appliance that has not needed service is the refrigerator. I would not recommend Samsung appliances at all. And I will absolutely never purchase a Samsung again.

We have a Samsung Induction Range purchase in 2013. There have been consistent issues, but nothing as serious as last night. I was washing dishes when I heard a clicking sound. When I looked over at the range, the panel and burner lights were flashing. Within seconds there was an extremely loud pop and then major arcs and flames. Since our breaker box was in the next room, I was able to turn power off to the unit right away. The range is out of warranty, however, because an electrical fire should be considered a major safety issue, I contacted Samsung and explained what happened. So, Samsung is sending a appliance repairman out to assess the damage and because my oven was on fire, they wont charge me a diagnostic fee! Really Samsung? Shame on you! You should be taking this oven fire issue a little more seriously than you seem to be, especially in light of so many complaints that have been lodged against you just this year alone.

Omg, how I wish I had read the Consumer Affairs reviews before I bought my Samsung range. Consumer Reports DID not give it a bad review. I purchased all new appliances for my retirement home and price didnt matter. Love my Sears Elite Refrigerator and my Bosch dishwasher. However, I cannot say anything good about the Samsung slide-in electric glass cooktop! The glass top has several scratches beginning the first time I used it. It was installed the second week of March 2018 but wasn’t used until April because I was in Florida. This is my fourth cooktop. First was a Corning, second and third were General Electric. After using it for only two and one-half months I cannot believe the condition of the cooktop. The booklet says not to slide pans. I try not to, but of course you will slide a pan occasionally. I use the same cookware that I used on the others. I never had one scratch on any of my other three cooktops. Every time I use it I’m a nervous wreck worrying about scratching it. There is no reason to get another top because I do not want another Samsung. This is a very expensive mistake! And, I will be replacing it. I feel sorry for those who are stuck with their Samsungs because they can’t afford to replace them. Samsung ought to stick with televisions. I sure hope there is or will be a class action lawsuit. Extremely dissatisfied with Samsung range and it will be a relief to get rid of it!

Had dishwasher 2 years. My contractor handled first 3 service calls in time right after bought. He had family issues as well as me. Washer works intermittently long cycle > 4 hours then stops altogether not to mention water pools in bottom. I usually add bleach when I smell it. So I call because its Xmas and I cannot use washer other than as dish drying rack. Buy extended warranty. Call. Guy comes out. He can get it working, needed part. Comes back, puts new part in. Said normal 4 hr cycle. Mind you washer is 6-8 feet from Insta hot water heater. In California should be banned. No Appliance running water should run this long. Now its Easter and I have a dishwasher that runs hours! On normal cycle sold as energy efficient. Ha! Maybe if you add rage the times it does not work with the long cycle. And this is normal.

Our experience with the Samsung refrigerator (French doors, bottom freezer, ice/water in door) has been a big disappointment. The ice-maker never worked well - the ice gets wet then freezes over. The refrigerator coils accumulate frost and ice and the fan starts to rattle and eventually die when it hits the ice. An appliance repair company replaced the evaporator cover to create a new seal, and installed a new drain kit ($400), but only 3 1/2 weeks later the same problem occurred. They came out again to defrost it, but said they would not service this refrigerator after that - that it is a design defect that Samsung should recall. Three weeks later, the same problem occurred, over Christmas with a house full of family and a refrigerator full of food. I called Samsung but they wont do anything about it. Samsung, if youre reading this, you may think youre saving money in the short run, but in the long run, your customers are falling away like flies. I strongly discourage anyone from buying Samsung refrigerators, and I will no longer buy Samsung products of any kind.

I will NEVER buy another Samsung product ever again. BUYER BEWARE. To say I am frustrated and disappointed would be a gross understatement!!! We purchased our Samsung French Door fridge RF31FMEDBSR 3 yrs and 4 months ago. We spent $2200 on it thinking we were buying quality. Boy were we wrong!!! The seal has disintegrated twice, the ice maker works on and off and the shelf on the door came crashing down one morning on my sons foot sending glass jars crashing all over the floor and bruising his foot. I can no longer affix the shelf as the door is torn down to the insulation.I have attempted to get straight answers on this since Dec 21, 2016. I have noted names and dates of people I have spoken to each time. Like many others I was told to contact EEFIX a local authorized repair company to come out and diagnose the problem to the tune of $80. I was also told that I would be reimbursed for that cost once EEFIX uploaded the info on their end. Let the merry-go-round begin.I did everything I was told to do, and all I got was a lot of empty promises and now what seems to be untruths. Fast forward to today, Mr. Derek in Greenville proceeded to tell me that Samsung would do nothing because EEFIX did not leave any documentation. Of course, I called myself, to hear that they couldnt diagnose that the door was defective but broken. HECK!!! I knew that! What did I pay $80 for? Where is my refund? Oh I know Samsung isnt in the business to service just take money for cheap products that they are well aware are having issues. This is my 1st stop, next will be BBB and then small claims court. I will become their worst social media nightmare. All I want is my refund and door fixed.

About 3 1/2 hours into the process my husband and I noticed a very strong burning smell he thought smelled electrical or insulation. The ovens electronic control panel quit and the lock remains locked. I researching troubleshooting we found this is a complaint and the repair shop said it is a common issue that they repair frequently. We have not found out the costs to repair nor do we know the condition of the inside of the oven. This oven should be recalled as we have had sore throats since. I purchased a top-of-the-line Samsung dishwasher in August 2013. By September 2014 it started giving me an IE error (heat) code. I had purchased the extended warranty from Leons and they directed me to call their provider Transglobal Service to have a technician come and check out the unit. We had to make an appointment to have someone come and look at the unit... AND take a day off work as they dont make service calls on the weekend. When the technician came a week later, he was at our home for all of 5 minutes and said he had to order a part. (We had told him what the issue was... Why doesnt he have parts to fix this in his vehicle??) It took another 10 days for him to come back and we had to take another day off work to wait all day for someone to show up. From start to finish it took 4 weeks to have the unit fixed... This was right around Thanksgiving. The unit worked for about a month, and we started to see the IE code yet again, just in time for Christmas! We have now been without a dishwasher for 4 weeks again, and the technician is coming today to fix the same problem. I am thankful that there are only two of us at home, and we arent a family of 4 or 5 and this isnt a fridge or stove that has the issue. The level of prompt customer service received is totally unacceptable. It simply doesnt exist. If the unit breaks down again, Im going to start haunting Leons stores and speak with people who want to purchase appliances there and tell them of my experience. So disappointed in this product, but more in the lack of care the service company seems to have for the appliances they supposedly fix. Not happy...

My problem is like everyone else!!! My RF217 is less than 2 years old when drain froze up wrecking the fan!!! Having been in the appliance business for over 30 years, I have never saw such a poorly designed system!!! After defrosting and installing a new fan, it worked for a couple of months when it started leaking into the crisper drawers telling me the drain was already frozen!!! I made a heater out of a copper wire and thought I had it fixed. But three months later, same old crap!!! Samsung knows of this problem but is not recalling the problem, even though they make a kit to fix it with!!! I suggest everyone that has or had this problem call the commerce commission and report their experience. In the meantime, you can buy the kit online such as eBay for around $125.00... Let refrigerator thaw for several hours so you dont break cover or insulation foam behind it!!!

That person said I still had to pay him shipping on parts. Samsung said that was not correct and after they talked to this person Samsung said he he not have even credit to do the work and they would find someone else.Today I got a call and email stating that Samsung would no longer help me because they have no authorized repair person available to help me. Basically I was told luck lady. Dont buy any Samsung products. They have a very bad warranty and it is impossible to find an authorized repair service. Their customer service lie again and again and again.

Samsung French Door Refrigerator - I purchased a new Samsung refrigerator in January 2017. I bought a black surface to match my other appliances. I have been seeing scratches on the door surface around the handles and called Samsung today regarding this defect in the paint. I was advised that the damage was not under warranty and would require a service call. The repair company advised that there would be a $110 fee to come look at the damage, Not only that but the only way to repair would be to order new doors. I am pretty sure that the scratches were caused by our fingernails when reaching for the handle. I guess we need to use gloves every time we open the refrigerator! I will never buy another Samsung product.
