On March 10, 2012, we purchased a French door black counter depth refrigerator 17.8 cu ft model rf197acbp. About a month ago, we noticed water in the bottom of the fridge - I thought maybe someone spilled something. I cleaned it out with 4 bath towels, and now it’s filling up again. I called Samsung and was treated with “what do you want me to do about it” attitude - you’re two or 3 months past warranty - it’s your problem. I asked him if he heard anything about this problem before and he said, never, I was the first. But I was horrified when looking at this site. Come on. Are there not laws protecting us from 1-year appliances? The last refrigerator was 22 years old, cheap and an Amana. The government should be forcing a class action lawsuit for a product they know is bad and still selling them every day. The worst thing is, they dont seem to have a fix - to me, that is lemon law. The government should step in and force a recall or stop the import!!

My oven from Samsung is top notch. It’s a gas stove, have not had any problems out of it. The eyes lights on a dime. And the self cleaning oven is the best. The timer on it works Perfect. I will recommend Samsung product to anyone.

Bought the French door with freezer at the bottom. Ill keep this short and to the point. Replaced the top ice maker 6 times and replaced lower ice maker 2 times. Top ice maker stopped working 2 times within a couple of weeks of being replaced. Thank God for buying extended warranty. Called Samsung twice directly and they brushed me off and seemed not to care about issues they have with their ice makers. Referred me back to warranty company. Not sure what we will do when warranty expires. Do not buy this refrigerator. You will be disappointed and if you do make the poor decision to buy Samsung refrigerator buy extended warranty.

This refrigerator generally works well BUT it has had several major repairs due to malfunctioning cooling system. The 3rd time it failed, Samsung did send a whole replacement set for this system at their expense. It has worked since then...but only has been a few months.

I purchase a Samsung 4 door refrigerator model RF32FMQDBSR/AA around October/November 2013. Since then the icemaker has never worked properly even after I called a technician to come fix it and constantly defrosting the icemaker because ice built up inside and it would not work at all. NOW the refrigerator will not cool down... stays around 53 degrees and that is too warm to keep milk and other luncheon meat fresh up to expire date. The worst thing is I have not had it even 4 years yet. Looking at some of the other reviews, I now see that it was a mistake to buy SAMSUNG appliances... I have a Samsung top load washing machine also and see there was a recall on some models. Anyways if it is too costly to have this Fridge fix I will cut my losses and just buy another refrigerator. I strongly feel that SAMSUNG should take responsibility and recall this model. Since that is not likely I will never buy NOTHING Samsung again.

Our 2 year old Samsung refrigerator went out a week ago. After spending several hours on chat with Samsung and 1-1/2 hours on hold I was given a service company in our Des Moines market of 500K people (they have only one). I called them and was told it would be 2 weeks before they can get there. So I called around Des Mioines to get someone to fix the unit and no one would service a Samsung. I called Lowes where I bought the unit and they were able to have someone out in two days. The evaporator had gone bad so it is under the 5 year warranty but we are now waiting 10 more days to get someone out to install it. Beware of Samsung customer service and response time when you consider a purchase.

We renovated our entire kitchen in Samsung appliances. Our $3,300.00 4-door flex refrigerator lasted 2.5 years and my wife and I have been fighting with customer service (CS), since November 2017, to get them to honor their warranty. CS initially sent an authorized service person who tried to fix it and recharged the refrigerant. He stated that if this didnt fix the issue, since it was a sealed system, it is un-repairable. It worked for approximately 2 months and the issue returned. This points to a slow leak in the sealed system which has a 5 yr part/labor warranty. Next time we called they claimed they couldnt issue another ticket because our serial number had a refund already issued against it, though the refund wasnt in our name or sent to us. We feel their error is not our problem and shouldnt delay our warranty service request. They wouldnt budge.Since then weve heard nothing but excuses and well call you in a week. Another CS rep claimed the vendor (Home Depot) must have shipped a unit that had been previously returned (laughable), Home Depot doesnt stock the appliances theyre shipped straight from Samsung. We both actually heard these claims on our phone. Every time you call you have to re-explain the issue to them and Im sure they keep a file on your case. Now theyre asking me to remove the label from the appliance and send a picture to them (doesnt that invalidate the warranty?). This has been the most frustrating experience weve ever had. Youd think such a big company would want their name to stand out in a positive light. WE ARE NEVER BUYING ANOTHER SAMSUNG APPLIANCE AGAIN. Im contacting my states Attorney Generals office and the FTC about our issue. We may not be able to get financial relief but, if it is determined that what theyre doing is illegal, they will spend money in legal fees and fines. There are state and federal consumer laws regarding warranties. I hope this word gets out so maybe theyll change their ways. Best to document all contacts with them to show how they treat you. Their service techs dont give paperwork so you gotta keep all emails, texts msg, phone records to present your case.

I purchased a home in October 2018 with a suite of 4-year-old Samsung appliances. The only good thing about the dishwasher is that its quiet. With that being said dishes often come out after being washed with food particles still on them and do not dry well. My issues started a month ago when the dishwasher wouldnt complete a full cycle - it was stuck mid-cycle. I chatted with a Samsung rep who said to flip the switch off and back on on the circuit breaker. This reset the dishwasher and it did complete the cycle. Two weeks later, the dishwasher lights were flashing, it was making a suction noise, flashing a LE code and wouldnt power off. I had to shut off the circuit breaker.I chatted again with a Samsung tech, who promised a tech would be out the following Monday. That was the 1st lie. The technician couldnt come until Wednesday and I had to pay $100 for a trip fee (the rep never mentioned this) because its out of warranty. Tech comes out and says I need a new door because the door wont properly lock - which will be $230. I have a hard time believing the door is suddenly the issue considering the dishwasher is 4 years old. After reading the other nightmare reviews on this site, Im certainly not going to funnel $330 into the repair of a garbage appliance - which should work properly. Even after taking my issues to Twitter, Samsung has still yet to respond. Garbage appliances + terrible customer service = me spending money to buy a new Bosch dishwasher. Save your money and avoid Samsung appliances like the plaque! Ive also had to reset the circuit breaker on the 4-year-old refrigerator a couple of times. Never had any issues with the 9-year-old suite of Kenmore appliances in my last home.

POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARD: Samsung dw80f600uts Dishwasher - This has been the worst appliance experience ever. Dishwasher worked fine for about the first 18 months. Then, on occasion, it would give an error code (Smart Auto and Heavy would flash). If we stopped and restarted it, it would usually run through the cycle. We are a family of only 2 adults, so we are not hard on it, nor do we run it more than 1 to 2 times per week due to handwashing some dishes (as the dishwasher cycle is VERY LONG... like 3 hours)! This morning the dishwasher stopped and gave error message, I tried to stop and restart. No luck. Then, while I had the door open, it started on its own!! (ID CALL THIS A SAFETY HAZARD). With all the complaints about this unit, I would think that Samsung would do a recall, or an optional recall, so at least those with issues can get unit corrected on Samsungs dime. We are choosing not to pay to have it fixed, as the reviews show that most have had to have fixed multiple times. Would rather buy a different brand than invest more in this faulty model.

I purchased a Samsung French Door refrigerator with deli tray and bottom freezer in June 2012. I have had small problems with water pooling in the chill cabinets which Ive been able to deal with. However, its since expanded to a heavy build-up of frost in the freezer. The soft-close feature stopped working weeks ago and the freezer drawer now wont close without putting a huge strain on my back due to the frost build-up. I have been calling around for three days and checking review and appliance sites. I can find no local technician who will take on a Samsung refrigerator repair because they say these refrigerators are simply unreliable and difficult to fix so they stay fixed. (If a manufacturer is going to sell a product, they should ensure there are respected certified repair technicians within that sales area.) Compounding my problem, I have a spine disability that makes it impossible to pull put the refrigerator to try to defrost it. My spine problem requires daily ice packs. The twice-daily struggle to open the freezer door to get to the ice packs has further exacerbated my pain and ability to get around.

The salesperson raved about this dishwasher. We were told it was the top of the line. In fact, it was on back order and we waited three months for it to be delivered. The warranty was for 12 months. The dishwasher began to have trouble one day after the warranty and Samsung would not send a technician. It would run for about 5 minutes and then stop. It wasnt draining. In the two years we have had the dishwasher it has been fixed four times. A month ago it stopped working completely. The motor is toast. We decided after putting $400 into repairs that we werent willing to put any more money into it. Today we purchased a new dishwasher and its safe to say its not a Samsung. Im completely disappointed.

I own numerous Samsung appliances - TVs, Washer, Dryer, and Stove. I also owned (and just removed) a malfunctioning Samsung Over the Range Microwave. I purchased it, knowing it had reliability issues, but it matched my stove and was the right price - so I gave it a shot. Let me first of all state that it made some funny buzzing noises that I didnt like. The keypad never worked great, either, but after about 5 years it may be, it certain buttons became harder to push, and eventually some buttons (and then almost all buttons) stopped working, entirely.Long story short, given another Samsung should have a similarly mounting system, I took a shot and attempted to order another Samsung (yes I know). Well, get this, I order it from Lowes and after multiple bad delivery dates from the Samsung distributor, I ended up having to cancel my order. Yes, even Samsungs own delivery of their microwaves turned out to be a nightmare. That said, I gave up and chose a Whirlpool that looks great, has great review, has a blue readout that match my Samsung stoves blue readout (that was a big deal, btw), and it has good reliability ratings according to Consumer Reports. All in all - Id say the moral of the story here, is to just avoid Samsung microwaves.

We remodeled our kitchen in 2011, bought all new appliances, all Samsung, stove, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher, on 12/18/2010. There are only the two of us, however I only use it when we have a full load. We rinse our dishes, therefore no smells and I keep it clean. However, it started not finishing the complete normal cycle giving me a s3 code. I had my repairman to look at it ($75). He also had a discussion with online help. We ordered the part ($50). He installed it ($100), still got the same thing and my repairman was told this may not fix it. Then we would have to order a pump, not knowing how much a pump is and $225.00 later and being told this could happen in another 2-4 years. We have bought a new dishwasher, and sure isnt a SAMSUNG. I do expect my appliances to last longer than 4 years.

Samsung refrigerator/freezer RFG298HDRS, 5 years old, was fine for the first 3 years. First noticed freezer drawer was becoming more difficult to pull open. While troubleshooting noticed Ice Buildup under drawer. Temporary resolution was achieved by reaching behind the pulled open drawer (drawer pulled wide open, but NOT removed) and using my fist to pound on the ice, broke it up and removed it by hand. This technique needs to be repeated every 2-3 months. I can tell when it needs to be de-iced by the sound of the drawer rubbing on the accumulated ice, which builds up between the bottom of the drawer and the bottom floor of the freezer compartment.Currently, my protocol is to: 1. Place a bath towel on the floor, tucked under the front of the refrigerator. 2. Open the drawer fully. 3. Place another towel over the freezer contents to keep them cold. 4. Wait about 5 minutes. 5. Reach in behind the drawer and pound on the ice with an open palm or a closed fist. The thicker ice at the back if the compartment will break up easiest. Swearing does not really speed up the De-Icing. 6. Hand brush the ice forward and out on the towel. 7. The ice toward the front might need a few more minutes to thaw and loosen.Total time to De-Ice is 10-15 minutes. My best guess is that the problem is a design flaw. Humid air enters the freezer every time the door is opened, collects as frost on the floor, and builds up as any refrigerator without a defrost system will have ice buildup. This guess only explains the Icing if the coolant tubing is under the floor and not under the back and sides. I am not happy with this issue, but this makes it just annoying.

I am extremely disappointed that my 18 month old Samsung Refrigerator RF263BAESR - French Door started experiencing issues. Samsung does not stand by its product and the expense of fixing it has caused me to junk it and buy a new one. What is that all about in a self defrosting product? I plan never to buy another Samsung product.

I have struggled with error code with this dishwasher shortly after purchasing it. I owned it for exactly 1 year, 1 month. 1 year warranty was not supported at all. Why do people submit reviews after owning a dishwasher for only 2 months is beyond me. Of course its going to run great! After 1 year they will be singing a different song. Its so quiet now BECAUSE ITS BROKEN!!! I have a 0 decibel DW now, the dishwasher is completely dead. I paid $700 for this dishwasher. I repaired the inlet valve sensor, case assy, and main relay board. I finally gave up after coming across some fine dishwasher from WP on Black Friday. I have a Samsung fridge and its acting up too. I shouldve gotten an extended warranty on both, but it seems, Im reading, that Samsung wont support the products with extended warranties.

Have had 2 repairs but they just melted the ice so it freezes every 2 to 4 weeks. Shame on Samsung for not doing a recall. Its a very well known issue; the fan gets hot, melts the ice then it freezes back up again. Wish I could use all the slangs in here to define how Samsung AC/Service Center people work. Main thing to understand: NEVER EVER buy a Samsung AC. Go for LG instead. I have all good reviews about LG from few of my friends. Samsung is all interested in selling the product. They are not concerned if the customers are facing issues with the unit nor concerned to consider feedback and work on the same. I started noticing a bad odor from the indoor unit within two days of installation (and let me tell you that I hardly use it in the night for an hour at the max). I called up customer care, registered a complaint. Well, the person assigned Mr. ** was very rude and has soo much of attitude that he does not want to listen to what you want to say and disconnects.Next day when I again call him, he says he will attend. He comes, just sprays the perfume and leaves. I myself had done that many a times before he could visit to bare the smell. This is not called as a service. But the bad odor exists. I know that bad odor can be for two reasons, if some dead insects in the drain pipe or if there is a lot of dust collected within the filters. This cannot happen within two days and I am sure about that and as I mentioned, I havent even used it that much. I registered a complaint again through email. I get a con call arranged. The service manager Mr. ** says he will get the indoor unit replaced. I asked him to service it first and then if the issue persists, then to replace. He acted off to be a very good human being on call and provided a contact number to directly contact him for issues. There was another technician arranged to look into this and he did clean the filters, drain pipe and all. But the same day, in the night, the smell was back. So I tried contacting Mr. **, and he does not pick up the call. Once he picked up and promised to give a callback but I did not receive any. Then after trying numerous times, he picks up after a day and he transfers the call to someone and when asked about the replacement as promised, he is all rude like Mr. ** and says will send a technician. I was explaining him the scenario and he is not bothered to listen and he laughs over when asked about replacement and disconnects the call. Let me tell you, the technicians who come for installation, issues, they are all inexperienced, irresponsible. They dont know how to explain anything. They hardly look like 17 years old. I am not saying all are inexperienced, but yes, people who did come to my place were.Samsung is the worst product ever. DO NOT BUY. Their service sucks. Such an harassment for a customer. Service people are inexperienced and irresponsible. I am going to write everywhere I possibly can. I just wish and pray your business stops in the AC world. You guys should consider recruiting experienced people, or at least give a proper training and should learn how to talk to a customer. ** unit and service. Model number: AR12KC3HATPNNA.

On August 2, 2018 a complaint was filed with New Jerseys Better Business Bureau against Samsung. The same day the BBB forwarded my complaint to Samsung and to my surprise the same day we received a phone call from Jamie ** from the Office of The President. Mrs. ** set up an appointment with Service Quick to repair the product for August 6, 2018.On August 6, 2018 I received a phone call from the technician assigned to my repair. Before even showing up at my house he told me he didnt have the parts to repair the refrigerator. He also stated that he was unaware of the refrigerator not working. He stated that the compressor issue is outside of his expertise and would need to be rescheduled. We had to wait another week without a refrigerator and I also needed to request another day off of work to accommodate the repair.I reached out to Mrs. ** to receive guidance because of the above miscommunication. Several phone calls and e-mails were sent to Mrs. ** and were never answered. Why reach out to someone to help solve a problem if you are only going to ignore them. It makes the situation much worse than better. Our refrigerator was repaired on Monday August 13, 2018. On Wednesday August 15, 2018 we purchased groceries. We woke up this morning to the freezer failing two days after the repair and losing all groceries that were in the freezer for a second time. Service Quick is wanting us to wait additional time to schedule the repair.During the conversation with Mrs. ** it was expressed that this was a one time accommodation to repair the unit. This ended up being a sealed system repair per the ticket. This is covered under the five year manufactured warranty per the technician and also our paperwork. So I am not sure what the one time accommodation is and why this is being treated as if Samsung is doing us a favor by fixing the product which is still under their manufactured warranty.I have already taken two days off of work between two technicians and now am being asked to take an additional day off of work. I need your assistance in getting someone out here to finalize this repair and/or replacement. Paperwork was given to the repairmen showing the ice-maker had been replaced (4) times previously. Now it has been replaced five times. This certainly falls up under Californias lemon law. As a consumer I have presented the product to the manufacturer or its representative so they could diagnose the defect and repair it. Along with the duty, as a consumer I have the right to expect the product will be repaired honestly and expeditiously. I have left prior to today a total of three telephone messages and three e-mails for Mrs.**. All have remained unanswered.

We purchased a side by side Samsung refrigerator and it started freezing on the bottom half of the refrigerator and in the back. I called and they replaced the heater on the refrigerator side. Six months later, same thing happened. They replaced it again and guess what, less than 6 months later, same thing. It cannot be replaced anymore because the tubing has been cut so many times they can’t fix it. So, I cannot put anything in the bottom because it freezes. I have pulled the drawers out and I keep everything in an old Kenmore refrigerator out in the garage. I can only keep certain things in the Samsung. I will never buy another Samsung product. We can’t afford to go buy another refrigerator. I tell everyone not to buy a Samsung refrigerator. Something should be done because too many people are having problems with their product.

$2900 Samsung french door refrigerator. Ice maker failed a little over a year after we bought it. I would have to remove the ice bin and use a blow dryer to melt ice buildup internally in the back of the freezer for about an hour each month to get the ice maker to make ice. Customer service was no help. Technician said it would cost $500 to fix. Refrigerator stopped cooling after two and one-half years. It would cost nearly $1000 to repair. Replaced it and will never buy another Samsung product.

Ice maker never worked properly (leaked, jammed, made inadequate ice when it did work). Since I had another refrigerator, I decided to take out the ice maker to make more room in the freezer. Did so (after great effort--badly designed drawers for removal). Refrigerator wouldnt work. Went on chat line. First time worked with someone for 25 minutes who obviously didnt have a clue about my particular model (kept referring to buttons that didnt exist) even though I had given her the correct model (french door unit)--then cut off. Tried again; passed to another tech. In both cases, I asked if the removal of the ice maker might have caused the problem. Was assured not. Went through every possible trouble-shooting efforts (most of which I had already done). Asked again: could it be that the removal of the icemaker was causing the problems? No, I was told, I would have to call a service rep. Before I did so, however, I reinstalled the icemaker. Refrigerator worked perfectly. Apart from the fact that English is clearly a second language, these folks dont have a clue about their own equipment.

We put the oven, not even a year old on self clean mode and went to bed. There was a huge explosion and the outer glass shattered and blew 20 feet in all directions. Two weeks later we are still getting up glass and also have had small slivers in our feet and hands. There is a company tag inside the oven draw that states it was sold in Feb. 2013. The Model number is: JOVO7DDD201222A and the SN NE595ROABSR. The report transaction number is: **. The last one was: **. They first said it was out of warranty and then the last call they said it was from exterior blows. No service person has inspected the door or the thermostat.

Samsung RB194ACW/XAC - I purchased this stylish, freezer on the bottom, Samsung refrigerator in mid-2010. After two weeks, the digital temperature display panel on the front was showing errors in the shape of the numbers and some bars of color were missing. The fridge seemed to be operating okay, but a year and 2 days after purchase, the refrigerator portion of the device began to stop cooling. The temperature readings on the front were whacky-looking and the inside of the fridge was clearly warm and foods began to spoil. The fridge was on and running, but there was no cooling effect. This started on Thanksgiving weekend, with a large family meal on. The freezer (on the bottom of the unit) was still working. A call to Samsung Canada was very unsatisfactory. I was told, curtly, that the refrigerator was past its warranty and they would not help me. The warranty was two days expired. I called the store that sold it to me. No help there either. I paid a private appliance repair company $340.00 to have the sensor repaired and a new temperature digital panel installed. It took 2.5 months for the parts to come in and three visits by a repairperson. The first two digital panels arrived in the wrong color. Today, less than two weeks following the repair, the fridge is again not cooling. The digital panel says it is 4 degrees in the fridge, but its very warm in the fridge and food has again begun to go off. The freezer still works. I removed the back protective panel and found the fridge coils completely iced up and the tiny plastic fan that is supposed to move air over the coils is encased in ice and inoperable.I guess Ive been dealt a lemon. I will not have this fridge repaired again. After reading many identical complaints on this and other sites, I realized that Samsung has produced a refrigerator system that has known functional defects - which they continue to market and sell to unsuspecting customers like me. Ignoring customer complaints and providing no follow-up or interest in customer satisfaction is the Samsung way when it comes to their flawed refrigerator design. I will never purchase another Samsung product as a result.

We bought this fridge in 10/2008 when we remodeled our kitchen. The valve has been leaking a while according to the insurance adjuster who denied our claim because of the length of time it leaked and because the valve is defective we are now looking at having to replace valve, floor 2 cabinets and some subfloor. We bought this appliance knowing it would be great. We have many Samsung items and like the quality. But we are disappointed that this happened. We are struggling with life as it is my husband was diagnosed with Arachnoiditis in 2014 and had to go on disability. In June 2016 he had a brain stem stroke and I had to quit work to care for him 24/7. So coming up with the money to repair this while leaving off of disability will be rough. But I dont want my fridge to fall thru the floor. Help is needed, requested and prayed for.

It looked good, water, ice, child lock, all the bells and whistle. After three months of purchase the refrigerator started problems and losing its cooling which gradually increased and in tow three days it totally out of order. The refrigerator was still under warranty as we bought just three months ago. We went to Samsung below outlet from we bought this refrigerator. Their services are very poor even they dont have manners to deal with customer. If we dont get proper feedback we do not buy anything Samsung. NEVER will I purchase another Samsung product and I plan to tell everyone at the store how Samsung treats their customers. Dont buy any household appliances by SAMSUNG. They are poorly designed and cheaply made. They do not back their products at all. This is the WORST refrigerator we have ever owned! Will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance!Below are the details of Samsung outlet: Samsung Digital Plaza. Shop no:2 Ground floor, plot #7 Mustafa Center B.M.C.H.S. The doors to my Samsung refrigerator are supposed to be stainless steel, but they are rusting. I have cleaned the stainless using mild soap, hot water to clear gunk, then wipe and apply a high quality stainless polish. I started seeing the rust a couple of months ago and have been cleaning them up. Although I am cleaning them, the rust is now starting to pit. This refrigerator is only 15 months old! I bought through Sears including the warranty, but they are saying rust is not covered as it is a cosmetic item. I called Samsung and they immediately said there was nothing they would do as this is a cosmetic item. If this were steel or if I had been scrubbing the front with steel wool, etc., I could understand their stance, but this has been well cared for. By the way, did I say this was our second refrigerator in one year?! The first one died within a month, three days before Thanksgiving! Sears says theyd send a tech in two weeks! The local Sears store sent a new fridge out the next day, but we lost $400 worth of food and although we bought the extra protection for spoiled food from Sears, they would not cover the food as a tech did not look at the refrigerator first! So, next with our new refrigerator, we have had two icemakers and still have lots of problems with it! I would not recommend this refrigerator to anyone! Neither Sears nor Samsung would do anything for me regarding this issue. So my $1200, 13-month-old investment from Sears is now rusting in my climate-controlled home! I do not recommend either Sears or Samsung as they have lied about the material this refrigerator is made from.

Last month, I noticed the drinks werent cool, the vegetables started to wilt, and finally, the ice maker quit working on my less than 3-year-old Samsung French door refrigerator. I called Samsung and was switched from one person to another, telling my whole story over and over. Eventually, they gave me someone in Dallas who said they couldnt get anyone to come to my house for three days. I threw away all food, waited for the serviceman, and when he finally got here, was told the fan to the compressor was not working, but he did not have the part. I was charged $180 for his visit. He said he had to order the part and would try to be back Monday, another 3 days away. Monday he said the part wasnt in. Tuesday, the part wasnt in. Wednesday, the part FINALLY arrived and he came back and replaced the fan. Then, amazingly, that didnt work either. Now he said he had to replace the whole motherboard and I had to pay for both parts. After spending almost $500, I now had a refrigerator and freezer again after over 10 days. I am so upset. I saved for years to buy a new frig, spent a ton of money to buy it, and loved the new one until this happened. I thought they would do the right thing by at least coming quickly and making the repairs in a reasonable time and at a reasonable cost, but I was wrong. No more Samsung products for me no matter what.

Repair place called on day of service advising they would charge service charge since this is a cosmetic problem. Service place said if samsung admits this is not cosmetic then they would not charge. Called samsung back, talked to Shawn service manager. He advised this is a cosmetic problem when paint peels off of glass top. I have had other glass top stoves and never had this problem. Purchased Samsung refrigerator 3 years ago. Ice maker has not been working properly for several months. After researching this problem, I find it is very common. It has been reported that there was a design change made to the current model to address this. Spoke to a Samsung customer support person as well as a manager. They will not assist with the cost of the service call in any way. I received estimates of $400-$500 dollars. The refrigerator cost $2000. So in three years I am incurring a repair cost equal to 1/4 the price of the refrigerator. We are remodeling our kitchen in several month. It looks like it will be LG for us in the future.

We do not slide pots and pans across the glass top. Regardless of being extra careful, there are already small scratches in the glass. I dont understand why this glass top is so delicate. We have a Samsung 3 door fridge with a bottom freezer (Model RF217ACPN) which has been leaking water into the crisper ever since we bought it. The first year we had it, it started to leak water and Samsung sent a service man out to fix it. He fixed it but months later it started to leak again. After he fixed it, 3 weeks later it leaked again. Samsung has paid for all of these repairmen at a cost of $200.00 a visit. When we call Customer Service about a refund or replacement we get stonewalled. They will not even let us talk to anyone higher than a customer service rep. We are very frustrated as they say their tech dept. has to deem this unit as having a factory defect. I dont know, and they cant tell me, how this is determined. They have already spent almost the original price of the fridge in repair bills but refuse to make this whole thing right. We are done with Samsung and will not buy anything from them unless they resolve this matter to our satisfaction!

I purchased and a 2 door stainless steel refrigerator assembly and in 3 to 5 months we had to replace the ice maker - since then we are on our 4th ice maker. I have had many contacts with Samsung corp, and customer service and now that the unit is out of warranty they now tell me that the repairs will be at my cost - I simply requested a replacement unit for the one that I have. With saying that I have to add that I also have the microwave, oven, smart tv and dishwasher.I have been on the phones with Samsung tech support for hours going over what we are experiencing with their product - they just keep saying now that the unit is out of warranty and that I didnt purchase an extended warranty my request for a replacement unit is and I quote not an option. My question to them is that this problem was existing during the warranty period and 2 ice makers have been replaced during that time. I would think they would have taken that into consideration for it is obvious this problem was pre-existing prior to purchase. I guess their business is stronger than the consumers of their products. They stated to me the only thing they will offer is a one time free repair to the unit and that was the best they could do. I then asked if we have the repair done and 3-5 months again down the road this happens again then what? They said they could say at this time.In other words you just ** out of luck and $1500.00. I wasnt asking for restitution on any type. I just asked for a replacement unit and that was no longer an option because the unit was out of warranty. In closing, I must say I can no longer support the Samsung product. And in closing a message to the Samsung corporation - the definition of great company service is not defined when things are going right. It is defined when things are going wrong!!!!

My husband and I purchased a new home July 2016. Kitchen had brand new appliances. We already had a repair done in Samsung dishwasher in which took over a week to get repaired. That was only after 5 uses. December 23, 2016 my refrigerator failed. Lost everything. Called the customer service at Samsung because they are brand new appliances. They should not be failing. The few people that I spoke to were not able to help get someone out. Spoke to supervisor. Got a local repair to come out that Friday to tell us what we known it was the compressor. Its a holiday weekend, company was coming and a baby in house. Samsung certainly did not see our frustrations. The guy at repair center said it will take 3 to five days for part to come in. That brings us to the middle of the week. Called repair center said it may be in Friday. I called Samsung again today 12/27/16 and told them the issue. Basically there is nothing they could do other than wait for the part even though it will be almost 2 weeks without a refrigerator that should not have failed (in warranty repair). I asked the supervisor at Samsung if they can expedite the part. She said no theres nothing they can do other than wait. Again I tried pleading my case. I have a baby in the house and other young children not to mention it is 60 out in RI today and losing everything in coolers. They did not resolve this pressing issue or the fact that I lost too and bottom of the food in refrigerator that is worth about 300 and the food I had to replace that I lost. Their customer service is just trained to patch the problem. They sound more like counselors than trying to make their product right.

Purchased an appliance package from hhgregg consisting of stove, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. Five months into ownership starting having issues with ice maker on refridge. A&E Factory service responded five times over a year period. Finally confirmed that the refridge was not repairable due to a manufacturer defect in the freezer door frame which was warped and could not seal properly. Spent several months dealing with hhgregg and Samsung Warranty. Samsung finally bought back the refridge at a pro-rated amount. Plus I had to wait five weeks to receive a check from them and do without a fridge because they demanded I cut the electrical cord on the defective one before they would buy it back. Then hhgregg refused to give me a refund on the five year extended warranty for the fridge which I no longer had. Samsung and hhgregg do not stand behind their products or warranties. Now for the last two months the Samsung dishwasher is not trying properly and the delicate light starts flashing at the end of the cycle. Scared to call Samsung and report it. Will never buy Samsung or deal with hhgregg again.

I just became aware of the class action lawsuit related to the faulty ice maker unit in my refrigerator. My model isnt explicitly listed, however it does state the list isnt limited to those units. I purchased from Lowes 01/07/2017 for $1805.01. I purchased (thankfully) the extended warranty as well. We dealt with the noise forever; weve had 4 service calls thus far for complete inoperability. Most recently phoned 6/4/21. First avail 6/18; ordered parts; returned 6/25 to complete. Never worked, and is now displaying error codes. Next avail 7/5 to fix. I realize I am fortunate to have the extended warranty but it runs out in 6 months; then Im stuck with a faulty fridge. I am hoping Samsung will do the right thing and pay out for those of us dealing with this problem.

Garbage. Ice maker never worked correctly. Shelves break. Door flapper broke. Freezer drawer slides blew out. Never cold enough. Freezer door handle pulled completely off. Freezer fills with 4 of ice on bottom and leaks water constantly. Ruined my floor. Threw away broken freezer sliding drawer. Always had to pull out and unplug to reset frozen electronic controls. Wasted plenty of food. Wish I had a bomber to drop it through factory roof. Just a complete waste of raw materials and food. Such junk and a waste of money. The only good thing about it is the arched front design which makes your reflective figure look better, while standing on a puddle smelling rotten food. I went to go investigate it and found the -SE- error. From what I gathered online from different sites, it is a control board issue. It has been a problem since 2009. Here we are in 2014 and they have not fixed the problem with the control boards. Since they do not make the microwave anymore, there is no way to replace the control board. I couldnt hate Samsung and their POS products any more than I do right now. Our refrigerator started acting up when it was 3.5 years old. Occasional loud grinding noises that we thought was the fan scraping against a buildup of ice. Almost a year later the noises stopped and the fridge temperature went up to where it was barely keeping the fridge cool enough to be functional. A repairman came, diagnosed and fixed the issue very quickly and cheaply, and we were quite satisfied. Until it stopped working again less than 30 days later. Now the same repairman thinks its a seal system issue, which his company doesnt address. Was told our issue would be expedited because we cant live without a refrigerator. That was a week ago. Samsung initially said a new repair company would contact us within 24 - 48 hours. I had to call back 3 times after that window to finally get a service repair number from them. IT WAS THE NUMBER OF THE SAME COMPANY THAT ALREADY CAME TO THE HOUSE AND SAID THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIX IT. Called Samsung again, and they gave me another number to call. That company ALSO said they dont address seal system issues. Called Samsung AGAIN. Now they dont know if theres anybody in our area who can address this issue. But not to worry, because theyll call me in 24 - 48 hours to let me know if theyve found somebody! Meanwhile Im supposed to give my toddler spoiled milk with his takeout dinner? Ill drop dead before I EVER buy another Samsung product.

We acquired our refrigerator Model #RF4287HARS in late 2010. The representatives sold my wife and I on durability and long lasting performance. Since the purchase we have had less than adequate technicians out to work on the refrigerator. The freezer just stopped working, the ice maker stayed messed up and very aggravating to press buttons to change ice cube size. It just quit working. The freezer was never repaired after parts were ordered and placed on. Over $600.00 in costs to us. The refrigerator has been a total piece of junk at a purchase price of $2310.00. We bought parts and paid repairs, and the technicians did not get the right parts, then when correct parts came in they said it would be useless to put on because the freezer was not worth repairs. We were reimbursed $195.82! Ha.After all the stress and aggravation, needless to say the ruined food we stored in freezer - a great loss. We were so sickened by the fact that we thought we made the best choice in buying a Samsung appliance, but this has proven to be a very expensive and stressful experience. And we bought a dishwasher at the same time, but replaced it in 2 years for $650.00. It did not clean and didnt last. Just thought we made a mistake and bought a cheap one. The one we bought in late 2012 is working like a charm, but it is not a Samsung product.

I purchased my Samsung dishwasher model number DW7933LRASR in November 2014. Within the first year the circuit board went. When I called the repair company and explained the problem they knew right away to bring the new board as others had same issue. Within a few months of the repair and after the warranty was out the same problem occurred. This time I have to pay to have the company confirm its the same problem - if it is Samsung will pay for the board but I have to pay for the repair (the company is in another town an hour away so probably cheaper to buy a new dishwasher!). I purchased a double oven stove and refrigerator too - no major issues but not 100% happy so would not recommend any Samsung home appliances. The dishwasher is certainly problematic and Samsung does not care about its customers!!!

My review of the refrigerator is above. As of this weekend, my dishwasher will no longer complete a cycle because it will not drain. We have taken it apart and cleaned it thoroughly to no avail. I called Samsung and they told me I could purchase a 1 year warranty for $300 which would cover for 1 year IF the cause was something that was covered. I will never ever buy another Samsung product!

We had the absolute worst experience with Samsung. We called because our freezer was 2.5 years old and both ice makers broken in addition to the freezer. Our freezer wasnt staying at the correct temperature. I called to see what, if anything they can do. They advised me that there is no warranty. I requested the information for an authorized Samsung repairer (they did not offer). I was told that I would need to call and set up the appointment since I was no longer under warranty. I expressed how disappointed I was that our refrigerator was broken and was under 3 years old. He continued to reminded me there is no warranty so that was the end of that. I then called the number provided by the Samsung representative and did not speak with anyone. I chatted with a representative over the internet and explained that I could not get in contact with them and explained that I am loyal customer of Samsung for over 10 years and am in need of assistance. He could not do anything other than tell me that my warranty has expired and that I should call the number provided. I called a total of 4 times and left 2 voice messages. I then contacted via chat to beg for help and he then provided a number to Samsung Emergency Help. However at this exact time my husband was at the house with an unauthorized repair company because we have now been 4 days without a refrigerator and have a house of 6 to provide for. The emergency repair representative said that they cannot help because an unauthorized has touched our appliance. The unauthorized repair man confirmed we had a freon leak which was the reason our temperature was not right in both the refrigerator and freezer compartments in addition to having broken ice makers. The Freon had a 5 year warranty and when a supervisor called me back she said I should have looked at the manual and that that was my responsibility. I reminded her that I told the rep I spoke with everything and I am not too savvy when it comes to diagnosing issues with my refrigerator so I did not know it was the freon, I clearly communicated that the freezer and refrigerator temps where not right and the original rep I communicated that too agreed but still told me I have no warranty so I believed I had no warranty.I was repeatedly blamed for not arguing with the rep about the freon and warranty issue. They blamed me for getting a unauthorized repair man, They said I should have kept calling them when I got no response from their authorized repair facility. The chat rep disconnected/hung up on me (still had questions), when I asked to speak with the supervisor - she stated, You actually spoke with my supervisor already, and went on to explain that her supervisor passed it to her to handle when I requested a supervisor and that I could not speak to anyone else. The supervisor blamed me for not setting an appointment up through them (even after I told her I was clearly told that I have to do it). I did not raise my voice nor did I at anytime use vulgarities or insult anyone that I spoke with.I reminded them that I was a loyal customer with over 14 Samsung products that includes appliances, phones, media equipment, and tables and it meant nothing. I suggested they at least give me a coupon to purchase something else and all was denied. I cannot and will not patronize a company that has such bad service. I talked to Samsung 3 times by phone when I called, 2 time when a supervisor called me, and 2 times by chat and I did not have an acceptable experience. I feel as if the product was defective if everything broke within a week of each other and it was only 2.5 years old. Terrible Service, no I am purchasing a new refrigerator and will not consider a Samsung product again.

Purchased a kitchen package (minus dishwasher) just 2 years ago... refrigerator, stovetop and microwave. With the exception of the microwave, we have had significant issues with the performance. So much so, in fact, that even though its only 2 years old, rather than repairing the stove... which blew something during a self-cleaning cycle, shut down and remains locked even after 3 days. We are trashing it and buying ANYTHING BUT Samsung. Even the repair service, when calling to confirm our appt. and advised by me that we were buying rather than repairing, advised that that was the way to go when dealing with a Samsung product. That pretty much says it all.

Ive owned the Samsung Fridge for 28 months and noticed that items in the freezer were thawing out. Called Samsung was given their authorized repair shop. 3 business day wait (Do they have a lot of work?). The coolant chemical Freon was leaking. I tell Samsung this is not normal and they say Well its past warranty so you are on your own. Over $1,000 to repair to the fridge is basically worthless. No sense repairing the existing piece of garbage so I will buy a new one. NEVER NEVER NEVER buy a Samsung. Quality is poor and they will NOT back you up when this problem occurs.

Model RF266AEPN, french door model. Purchased spring 2011. At four years old had to be serviced for the ice dam at the back of the refrigerator causing the fan attached to the evaporator to be compromised and sound as if the refrigerator was about to blow up. The repairman warned me that this was a common problem with Samsung and tried to sell me an extended warranty. I declined. Unfortunately I should have listened because six months later its the same old problem. Today after viewing loads of YouTube videos and reading the commentary I have no doubt this is a widespread problem with every type of Samsung refrigerator including side by side and bottom mount. The suspected causes for the malfunction range from the temperature sensor, to the heating tube around the evaporator coil, to clogged drain, to bad relay switches in the computer module, to poor software. Knowledgeable people seem to fix the problem only to have it occur again. Also made the mistake of buying a Samsung above the stove microwave that makes enough noise that I wonder if it too will blow up on me.

Samsung Model RF28HMEDBSR. Worst ice maker I have ever had. The cubes come out like large crushed ice. The ice maker had to be replaced, about 6 months ago, now it is doing the same thing freezing up and has to be manually defrosted to work again (about every 2 weeks). The refrigerator is nosier than most - I can handle that - but I like my ice. I would not recommend this refrigerator to anyone that like their ice.Updated on 03/23/2018: Well I am back to the repair mode--ice maker worked for a while. I have had to defrost it twice this month and today when the tech came out, it was frozen up so bad that he had trouble removing the ice bin. Sigh! -They are going to replace the icemaker AGAIN. Thank God for the extended warranty.

There are a couple main problems with the refrigerator (Samsung Refrigerato
There are a couple main problems with the refrigerator (Samsung Refrigerator Model RF323TEDBSR/AA):1. There is a design flaw in the upper ice dispenser. When you select cubed ice, the dispenser crushes about 1/3 to 1/2 of the ice cubes. The problem lies in the design of the module. The opening to the ice chute is just too small and/or too close to the crusher mechanism which is just above the ice chute. The auger feeds more ice per given amount of time (seconds) than can fall through the hole to the chute before building up a pile at the hole. As this pile of ice builds up, it eventually begins to feed into the crusher mechanism. This results in about one third to one half of the cubes being crushed. Samsung technical support asked us to empty and reset the ice module but it made no difference. Finally my wife called them and had to escalate to the upper tier of support and they sent a second module but we found no difference in performance.2. The second problem is with the overall quality of the refrigerator. The hinge/pins for the drawer lids broke within the first couple months of ownership. These are little plastic pins, which are about 1/2 the diameter of a pencil, that allow the clear plastic lid to swing open upward when you pull the crisper or meat/cheese drawers out. I fixed them by drilling them out and inserting a wooden dowel rod and securing them with some industrial strength glue. Theyve held for almost a year now like that.3. Finally, the silver finish is flaking off the control/menu panel. This is a cosmetic flaw I understand but for a 1 year old product this is absolutely unacceptable. Samsung refused to do anything for us on this and my wife was adamant that there should be some replacement part shipped but they refused.Overall we are finding out that the refrigerator is just poor quality. We purchased the refrigerator because it had all the features we wanted. The second ice maker in the lower freezer drawer was a big reason we bought it. Now we have to open that drawer and dig out the ice cubes for our drinks if we dont want crushed ice which is all we can get from the front dispenser.I also wanted to make a comment about the water filter. The Aqua Fresh filters that are rated to be a match for the Samsung model HAF-CIN are of poor quality. I had a 3-pack of filters and the first filter worked without any issues for many months. Then the indicator light came on telling me it was time to replace the filter. The second and 3 filters from that pack leaked water into the drawer just below the filter. I ultimately had to replace them with the Samsung filter. This is not a Samsung complaint, but rather for information so others know my experience with the off-brand filters.

Samsung electric slide-in range. First -- Samsung does not honor its warranties. Second -- in a period of 3 years, the left front burner cause a break in the glass in the same place while boiling water on 8, not high. After pressing Samsung relentlessly and being accused of lying, they finally replaced the top, but with no additional warranty. Their repair people here in Ill, Unique didnt even run diagnostics. Less than one year later the same burner caused the same break with the same configuration as stated above. I was across the room, no I didnt hit the glass and no Im not a liar. Third -- I did manage to set a hot dog on fire using the broiler. I let the fire burn out as trying to fix it would add oxygen and thats not a great idea. It burned out the oven altogether. The oven will no longer work at all. Finally -- as for operation --- If you lean on the control system at all -- say to lift a pot from the back burner, you will likely turn on another burner or turn your oven on or off without knowing it. Great product. So, after spending too much on an inferior product I am now in the position of having to spend even more money to purchase a new oven. One might also consider the battery and glass problems that Samsung has had with their phones. Inferior glass... Inferior sub-contractors (Unique)... Inferior claims dept. Dont do this to yourself.

I have been a Samsung fan for a long time. For the first time ever we experienced an issue where Samsung was not able to provide us with a reasonable solution. We purchased a Samsung Oven Range in early November 2019. One of our oven knobs broke off in our hand two weeks after the warranty expired. Samsung requires close to $100 for a replacement knob. When I pulled off the other 4 knobs on our oven range I noticed that the neck of one other knob was also cracking. The knob necks are made of plastic. I read reviews on various community chat groups and apparently, there are many Samsung customers who experienced the same problem. If I were to buy all 5 of the Samsung replacement knobs it would literally cost me as much as I paid for the entire oven range new. If Samsung is interested, I found online a very simple inexpensive fix for broken knob necks, which can also be used to prevent future breakage of unbroken knobs. Will be glad to share.

I bought my Samsung refrigerator in 2013. I paid nearly $2000 for this and thought it would last. WRONG! The bottom freezer would ice up and leak constantly. Then Dec 4, 2015 the freezer part just stopped working, ruined the food I had. I called Samsung and their answer was to call a service tech that I would have to pay for. I just left it alone as I had a deep freezer. Just hoped the fridge part would continue to work. Well as of today February 2, 2016 it has quit as well. I again called Samsung and no kidding was on phone for over an hour only to be told Too bad. Sorry for the inconvenience but we are not fixing it. What a crock! I have had cell phones which are Samsung last longer than this refrigerator. So off I went to Lowes, bought just the plain Jane side by side for 856 by Frigidaire. Certainly will NEVER BUY Samsung again... I hope you take my advice and steer clear of Samsung refrigerators.

I can just sit down and write a novel about my disposable fridge that would make a priest want to renounce his vows, oh my! And thats not all! So while I have your attention, let me begin with the juiciness of this sought over novel, soon to be released; not appropriate for the weak-minded, lame, sex offenders, and others whom are abusive. My story begins on the purchase date of December 3, 2010, not to be delivered until December 21, 2010 on Model: RF217ACRSXAA; Brand: Samsung 20 cubit ft B/M french doors; cost $1,299.00, growling! OK, its going on 8-years old, so what? Dont you want for your refrigerator to last more than just 8 years, I do? After all, $1,299 isnt anything to laugh about on the high cost of paying for any appliance that should serve their customers well in the long-run; hello, this one doesnt cut the cake, in fact, it lacked in all areas. Listen up now in hearing the truth and the reality of this poorly constructed, over-priced, defective, piece of disposable stainless steel has-been appliance of junk. Not pretty so far, and its not going to get any prettier, trust me. To save time, Im just going to list the issues in laying them straight out for your digestion, and I hope they dont deliver unto any of you any form of nausea, flu-like symptoms, diarrhea, or self-inflicted wounds; even thou tempted. This appliance was doomed when formed in the craters of the stainless steel womb in appliance making; in laymans terms it was defective and unacceptable and much made aware of, however, Samsung continued to disregard any discrepancies of their workmanship and so they continued on. This so-called wannabe fridge didnt pan out at all in its performance and the companies bragging and boasting of such a wonderful product; check out the other sources of reviews regarding their refrigerators and youll see the tremendous faults and Samsungs own claims that it was your fault based upon reasonable wear and tear, other words, your daily usage of their product. BULL! Cheap and stupid comment! Everything we have is considered being used on a daily basis as wear and tear. So it comes down to: a faulty and a unacceptable product with the first thing happening were dents appearing upon the surface front of the stainless steel in various areas where nothing was knocked or hit upon the refrigerator, and this still remains a mystery to this day; and suddenly one day out of the blue when upon opening and gagging, a vile odor of non-delight smacked me right in the face of something raw and diseased in leaving a stench of a decomposed corpse somewhere hiding in my fridge, it was so intrusive and vile that I had to end up removing everything in my fridge to remove the odor of death with vinegar, baking powder, peroxide and rubbing alcohol, which finally helped in this hideous stench, plus it harbored its odor upon my cheese and butter, which I had to dispose of, costing me money in waste, and then having to replace those items which cost me more. This lovely saga lasted over 1-year in the making and it wasnt pretty, as I had to do this every 3-months. When I contacted this lovely and caring company, I was told to wash down my fridge. Hahaha! Now thats funny! I reported to this expertise person filled with much knowledge and wisdom, that this was exactly what I had done. Then her reply was, it takes time and itll go away. Another bout of uncontrollable laughter in asking her, what if it doesnt go away, then what? Only to be told again by this person of much esteem, then call us back. OK, as if my calling is going to be opening their deaf ears, NOT! Now moving on to my wonderful and functional ice maker, which when my fridge was installed, the ice maker wasnt even hooked up due to our older home not having any water hookup for a refrigerator that had an ice maker. So the installer, turned that option off as we didnt use it. So in the 7 years in which weve had our disaster of a fridge with all of its sought after imperfections, were still experiencing problems with the ice maker. This problem has now been addressed 3 times, with a repairman coming out doing his magical diagnostic check to say it was our ice maker programmed in indicating that there is a problem. What kind of a problem you asked, well, its programmed of course with all of its electronic components saying that there is an ice issue and leaking. NOT! So this lovely costly $100 gadget of necessity had to be replaced, why, well its because of the way Samsung designs their appliances causing for them to react in indicating something that isnt. But in order for my fridge to work, I had to pay for it as it was out of warranty. How lovely and kind is Samsung to do that in their designing and corruptible computer technology to showcase this error of DECEIT. So it was done and I had thought over, but once again, the fun and love of this fridge is expressing itself all over again, and less than one year after it was supposedly been fixed and not to do it again. Yeah, right! So this time Mr. Mechanic, Man of Genius (another repairman) comes out and swiftly removes the ice maker saying that it wasnt needed and therefore I didnt need for it to be there. No charge this time, saying it was a courtesy call. And after 3 months, surprised! I know, your hearts must be breaking by now. So once again a call was made and several people spoken with, all whom didnt know what was said nor documented from the others, so I had to repeat everything over and over; my patience was low and running thin by now. So finally a service call was made by a company who would call me to confirm within the week regarding an ice maker that was removed and yet there was still a problem. The company called, the serviceman and I talked, only to find out that what Samsung had told him was nothing that I had said that I needed help on. They told him that I had a water leak, when I had an ice maker that was removed and the code were showing that I had a water leak coming from my ice maker that was previously removed. The serviceman suggested I call them back to report this, as there was no reason for him to come out for something that doesnt exist. The call was made, I had talked to 4 people and was told someone would be contacting me (this was in May of this year 2018). And yet at this time no one has contacted me on scheduling anyone to assist me, and my fridge is still the same as it was before where you have no option in controlling your refrigerators temperature, and its not as cold as it should be where numerous items of food had to be removed and thrown away. So now what? Let this vicious, but yet lovely and caring company who jumps hoops and swims the ocean, climbs the highest mountains and deals with volcanoes just to make sure that their appliances will be serviced well and proper, leaving you with a sense of relief and comfort, and cold foods. Wow! Guess Im in good hands after all; and here I thought Jack the Ripper was bad.

We bought this refrigerator about 4 years ago. It worked well the first year and the 2nd year onwards we started having problems. Water started leaking from bottom and water gets collected on the drawer base and the vegetable drawer also. The drain plug design is so bad that the its bound to get clogged. The drawer designs are complex and poor that food particles get lodged into the crevices between the various plastic parts and it is very hard to clean and if you try to remove them the plastic parts start to crack. Did not expect this from Samsung products. Poorly designed for cleaning and defrost system is pathetic. Even my grandmother fridge did not have this water leaking problem.

In July 2013, we bought a Samsung 3 door refrigerator with drawer for about $2,000.00. There was a manufacturers defect in one of the electrical cords attached to the drawer, which was repaired here. In January 2013, the refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling and freezing, so we called HH Gregg and were automatically connected to Samsung. Samsung did not dispatch a repairman, but instead said someone would get back to us. We waited all day as our food began to spoil, and called HH Gregg local number and asked for a store manager. He told us he would send an email to HH Greggs corporate office, and they would replace the refrigerator, which might take a week, and that another store employee, Beth, would call us back and set us up with a loaner refrigerator. When Beth did not call, we called her, and she said she had no such authority. I asked to speak to the manager again, and she connected me to Jeff, another person, who informed me that the store does not issue loaners and that there would not be a replacement refrigerator from HH Gregg. We called Samsung several times also, and they continued to say that someone would get back to us in 24 to 48 hours. At this point, we regret dealing with HH Gregg, and we regret buying a Samsung. I definitely do not recommend HH Gregg for any reason, and think people should avoid them entirely. As to Samsung, I am stuck with a lemon and will have to deal with their impossibly frustrating and slow customer service for the remainder of the time the refrigerator is under warranty. I have read several horror stories about Samsung, including 7 repairs in 4 years, at **. In summation, HH Gregg sells shoddy merchandise. No refrigerator should break twice in the first 7 months of ownership. Furthermore, HH Gregg does not stand behind its merchandise. Even thought we did not buy an extended warranty, they should take the refrigerator back and give us our money back, so we can buy a working refrigerator.

It is hard to get anyone to work on this piece of trash and the parts are very hard to find. Once I found the parts on the internet, I was told the main part was on back order (the main circuit board) because of high demand. That is a shame. No part to a refrigerator should be in high demand. That means it is a manufacturer problem and it should have been recalled. This is frustrating and costly. We purchased our Samsung refrigerator 4 years ago as new homeowners. Towards the beginning of July this year, we started having issues with the freezer not keeping things frozen - ice cream melting, meat thawing, etc. After trying the recommendations in the manual and unplugging it to reset it per Samsung, it seemed like our problem was fixed... for about a week. So I called Samsung again. On July 21, a technician from one of their service centers, MidAmerica, came out and discovered our sealed refrigeration system was leaking (evaporator & compressor - attached is a picture of the evaporator; all the coils are supposed to be covered in ice and only the top one of ours is due to the loss of coolant)... he also informed us that the sealed refrigeration system was still under warranty (5 year warranty stated in manual). However, he couldnt fix it because he supposedly just moved to our state and didnt have the insurance/licensure to carry the parts... a little fishy, but he said we should be able to call Samsung and they will find a trained technician to fix it. Turns out - Samsung has no trained technicians for sealed refrigeration systems in our area, so they told us to find our own and they will reimburse us but only if the technician we found diagnosed the same problem... okay? So we call Mr. Appliance and they were fantastic! They came out on 7/30. They diagnosed the SAME problem but stated it would be over $2000 to fix it. They also informed us it was probably only a matter of time until our fresh food side stopped keeping things cool too. We were shocked. The refrigerator did not even cost that much to begin with and we also dont have $2000 lying around. So I contact Samsung again, spoke with a girl named Brady. I offered to email her the quote as well as our proof of purchase to show that it seemed ridiculous that we were going to repair a refrigerator under a manufacturers warranty for more than it was worth when we bought it. She put me on hold for a brief moment and came back to say we just needed to pay it and Samsung would reimburse us (mind you, there has never been anything in writing stating they would reimburse us... theyre expecting us to just go on their word). Refused to let me email the quote to them and also refused to let me speak to a supervisor about the issue. She stated a supervisor would email me... which never happened. In the meantime, we called Mr. Appliance about ordering the parts and they stated it would probably take over a month to get the compressor from Samsung... so my fiance calls Samsung to inform them of this. In our minds, it should not take a month (possibly longer) to get a warranty issue fixed! Asks to speak to a supervisor, on the phone for over an hour and talks to three separate people who are not supervisors and just keep saying its their policy to have us pay this exorbitant amount of money and expect them to reimburse us. We suggested that they just replace the refrigerator - they keep indirectly saying they will find a way to get the issue resolved. They say a supervisor will call us back in 24-48 hours... we wait 3 business days and havent heard anything, so I call them on 8/6. I spoke with Michael, who was very nice and genuinely seemed shocked that it was taking this long to get this fixed. He actually wanted me to email him the receipts and proof of purchase unlike Brady and stated they would be calling Mr. Appliance since they were the only people who said they could truly fix it. We were relieved. This was short-lived however because the next day they assign our ticket to MidAmerica AGAIN and some other local company (J&D) who had already told us they dont have someone trained in sealed refrigeration systems. By this time, I am irate. I call again and tell them to refer to the images of the receipts I sent, associated with the ticket number from my phone call on 8/6 with Michael. Gregory tells me there are no images with that ticket number. I felt like I was going crazy! These people are ridiculous. They are like robots every time you call - there is no history of ongoing issues, they close ticket numbers before the problem is resolved and just open a new one every time. They give you the run-around and obviously no one truly cares about resolving your problem. I submitted the images again and am still waiting on another phone call. If this product wasnt still under a manufacturers warranty, I wouldve been done weeks ago. It has affected our quality of life from the stress and time weve put into this and weve spent more money than anticipated on going out to eat and frequent grocery trips for fresh food. I feel defeated. I wish there was a no star option. It is somewhat comforting to see that so many other people have had issues with their Samsung refrigerators, as well as their customer service department, but also so unfortunate. I would NOT recommend any of their products to anyone at this point. I would never want anyone else to go through this like we have. Please consider this review (I know its long - sorry! ), as well as all the others, before purchasing a Samsung product.

We purchased a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator from Home Depot in Feb. 20
We purchased a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator from Home Depot in Feb. 2014. First problem - within weeks of purchase was that the vegetable drawer had no control for air/temp, fresh veggies died quickly, even carrots and root veggies. We bought $100 of special containers to be able to keep food as fresh as the old fridge. Then within the first two months, we began hearing the often-reported fan noise from ice buildup. This got worse over time and I finally called for service, also complaining about the veggie drawer. Prior to that scheduled service being performed, the next issue was the ice maker failing to shut off, even with the door open and jiggling the paddle switch. Another call to Samsung to add the new problem to the fan noise.Service arrived a week later, with a wrong ticket number, no warranty information, and no parts even for the known issue. The tech corrected the paperwork, inspected and ordered parts. Samsungs Andy then called me after the service to see if repairs were completed, and I told them of the problems with the unit, as well as Samsung not providing proper information for the tech so the service was a failure. I was told we could qualify for a buyback, which I said would be taken into consideration, and was there a time limit. I was told no time limit since the service issues were reported within the 1yr warranty period. When the parts arrived, I called Samsung to explain we were seriously considering the buyback, but were in process with the previous service issues, and should I allow the service to take place. I was told to allow the service and did so. The service was performed, both issues I reported separately were handled together on one ticket. The entire back panel housing the fan was iced up, which the tech confirmed is not normal. The ice maker continued to repeatedly dump ice without stopping, jam, freeze up and require removal, thawing and drying, even after the service.By this time we have opted for the buyback, and phoned Samsung to request it. This time I was told by executive customer service member John, that what Andy told me was not how the buyback worked. Buyback could only happen if the unit is deemed non-repairable with three repair attempts. I explained I already made three service calls, had two repairs, as well as complaints on the drawer issue, and other aspects of the design and quality that were proving very annoying. Another service call was scheduled. This time the tech arrived and was briefed on the history and issues, along with our desire to take the buyback. He ordered a new control panel, which arrived and was installed on yet another service call. The new control did not display properly and was defective. It was removed and the old one installed in its place. I immediately called Samsung to complain about their total failure, and was told they did not yet have the service information from the tech, it should be there in a day.I called a week later to inquire on status, and this time was told by exec c.s. rep, Sherry that not only were there not enough service calls and parts replaced to qualify for a buyback, she had no info from the service company on the service. When she said she had to check to see if we were within some 30 day time limit on the buyback, after having specifically asked two exec c.s. people about any time limitation, I was angry to say the least. There were more communications with Samsung on status of the buyback, process, requirements, schedule, and was given different stories and reasons every single time. I called on 11-10-14 to inquire the latest status of the most recent ticket regarding the buyback process, and the exec c.s. rep told me they had only one ticket on their records; I have at least seven ticket numbers for these issues, four of them being the 510-number range generated only at the executive level. When the tech arrived today, 11-12-14 I made it clear that the only resolution is deeming the unit unrepairable. Because one of our reported issued included cracks in the interior refrigerator walls, the tech was able to get a status of nonrepairable from Samsung. In doing so, the tech had to communicate with both his company and Samsung. The first Samsung rep he spoke to was extremely rude, and actually hung up on the tech. The tech called back, reached a supervisor, and with a few more calls finally got the nonrepairable status. Now I am waiting for Samsung to respond. Under California law, we have endured more than enough repair attempts to qualify for the Lemon Law requirement to buyback or replace the unit. Needless to say, for the combination of poor design, poor quality, and downright insulting customer service, there will never be another Samsung product in our home.Other problems with the unit included poor freezer door fit, hung crooked and uneven, gaps between the inner and outer shell where the door seal must fit, may allow warm air in. The tech showed me how the ice dispenser door does not seal properly and is not well insulated, also letting warm air into the freezer compartment.Another little surprise we got, partially because of the imperfect door hanging, is that we didnt get the freezer door shut all the way one night, and I found it in the early morning hours. Cleared out the ice maker so it wouldnt freeze solid, closed the door and left it alone. Checking in the morning, the display showed the set temp standard of -2F and 38F, so I thought all was well. But when I came in for some ice at 2pm and opened the door, the freezer was 58F with ice cream running on the floor. The unit did not reset without unplugging and replugging, a surprise because we had a power outage of several hours some time ago and the unit was fine.So if you are considering Samsung, I suggest not. As a coincidence, as the tech was here today, a friend called and I told him what was going on, beginning to describe the Samsung issues....before I could even get started, he chimed in with the same litany of problems I have experienced with his Samsung refrigerator. The independent service techs were all professional, and were sympathetic to our problems with Samsung. They did what they could to make it possible to allow us to get some resolution. Both techs who visited us multiple times have a very low opinion of Samsung and their products.

Originally posted earlier this month. Followed Samsungs advice and defrosted refrigerator for 36 hours, with fan blowing on it. Checked to make sure all ice buildup had cleared. Turned on, ran fine, icemaker even working again. Now several days later, ice maker is stopping and probably means another complete defrost. Do not buy Samsung Refrigerators, ITS ALL OVER THE INTERNET ABOUT HOW PEOPLE ARE HAVING SAME PROBLEM WITH ICING UP AND NOISE. They dont seem to have a fix. Terrible, 5 years old $2000+ refrigerator and nothing but problems.Updated on 06/16/2018: I have contacted Samsung and searched the web. My 5 yr old refrigerator keeps freezing up and the fan starts making a loud noise. Only resolution Samsung has offered is to defrost the refrigerator. Really, its a self defrosting, yet now we have to unload and let it thaw out 2-3 times a year. This problem with their refrigerators is noted by numerous people on the internet, yet Samsung offers no remedy and it appears this problem occurs with many of their refrigerators going back several years. This company is selling numerous refrigerators and should fix the problem or offer real solution.

Machine has never cleaned dishes from day one and now it needs 600.00 worth of repairs. A fault code 7E keeps being logged and that will take a drive motor and circuit board replacement. Had service tech out twice while still under warranty for inability to wash dishes properly and they could never find a problem. Now the warranty is expired. It logs this water reflector problem and the parts are covered under warranty, but will cost me 250.00 labor to fix this piece of junk. I should have bought the Bosch instead. Very disappointed in performance of product purchased from what I thought was a reputable company. Ill never buy Samsung anything again.

As in many of the other reviews, I also experienced the dreaded SE error code on my range microwave (model 9197). I realize that its probably hit or miss as to what type of help you will get when you call Samsung’s customer service center; however, I was very lucky to get an articulate, responsive person who seemed to be well aware of this problem. He did offer me a one-time courtesy warranty extension which will pay for the repair of my unit. If it has to be replaced, I am ready to fight that battle next!

It is less than 2 years that I purchased the double French door bottom freezer Samsung model # RF260BEAESP refrigerator. The water leakage into the below the crisper drawer area has started to occur. This problem has been mentioned by many other people. Samsung must acknowledge and repair this problem. No one should ever buy any appliances from Samsung. They really have disgraced themselves and their brand name.

Within 4 months, Samsung Dishwasher was showing LE code and making weird loud noises. Several calls and 3 service visits later, the company said they cant take the unit out so they cant check or repair it. It is a shame that I get no response from a company like Samsung. Never buy an appliance from Samsung again, only because their customer service is useless!

I wish I had read reviews before I bought the Samsung refrigerator. We have had to defrost it several times. Samsung customer service is very poor, entailing many phone calls and waiting weeks for service people. Now when it starts making loud noises and leaking water I collect all the camping coolers, empty it and unplug it for 24 hours. Ridiculous! An expensive disappointment.

Purchased this microwave from Lowes about 2 years ago. Dont have receipt anymore so dont know exact date... It now gets the -SE- error code and researching online after the fact have learned it to be quite a common problem and a design flaw in Samsung microwaves. Called Samsung to fix this issue and they said they will only replace parts for this error code in older models and not the SMH9027ST models... I ordered the display part and tried to replace myself but cant seem to open the bottom silver piece where this part goes. Will never again purchase Samsung products of any kind... Terrible customer service and products with known issues.

My refrigerator is 4 years old, the ice maker quit working, it cost $475 to repair. The repairman said this is common for Samsung refrigerators, Samsung would not cover the cost of this repair. To have a refrigerator ice maker quit working after 4 years is unacceptable if not covered as a recall for ineffective function of the appliance. I will never buy another Samsung appliance due to this experience.

4 years ago this month, we purchased over $5k in Samsung appliances for our new home... To date, we have had the ice maker repaired (or should I say a band aid was put on) 6 times!!! Our microwave does not vent any air, our dishwasher goes into OE error at least twice a week and our oven doesnt self clean, it doesnt clean at all! I think Samsung is trying to make us all nuts ! Ive never seen so many complaints about a fridge ice maker in my life... And its been happening for years and over these past few years Samsung is benefiting by gauging us poor consumers who need to pay for repairs because who can afford to replace all these appliances after only a few years ? There has to be something done, its not fair ! How can this be legal, years and years of complaints by hundreds of consumers and nothing is done ? Shame on you Samsung and NEVER EVER AGAIN...

I bought my Samsung French Door fridge November of 2013. The ice maker has frozen up several times and has cost $700-$1000 to thaw. Its because the door flap gets turned in and you cannot tell the doors didnt shut. Samsung could replace the flap on the door with one that would latch like the newer models. Samsung needs to get out of the appliance business. Read the reviews. Their appliance products are terrible.

Worked fine until year 6. Then fan noise and icing. This is the third time, second time in 3 months. I have turned off the water pipe for the past month. Today Im following YouTube info but getting stuck on the removal of the lower evaporator cover in the icebox drawer. To do a repair by the way you need Philips Screwdriver and a 10 mm socket wrench (for drawer bolts, could just use a shifting spanner). Ill update later with some images...

We have model RF4287HWP/XAA. The touch panel constantly becomes inactive. Its been replaced several times. The ice maker has broken (twice). And now its constantly leaking water. We bought the Asurion protection plan but they cant come out until next week. So every few hours were replacing towels around the fridge to soak up the water. Its ruined a rug. And Home Depot, who sold us the protection plan, isnt able to help. We USED to have a shut off valve for the water going into the ice maker. But during the last repair it seems it was removed. So we pay thousands for an appliance, buy the protection plan, and then have to put up with it constantly breaking and poor customer service. Really? Because were not billionaires we have to take this crap? Whats the alternative?

I am writing this letter to inform Samsung and Home Depot of a very real pr
I am writing this letter to inform Samsung and Home Depot of a very real problem that my family and I have with one of your products. We bought a refrigerator on November of 2017 from Home Depot. Very good looking fridge. The sales personnel talked up a very good advertise for it and it was priced very good. Also we were told by Home Depot that it had a 2 year warranty. We didnt think anything about extending a warranty due to the Samsung name being strong in our household. Samsung phones to Tvs and computer monitors. Until March of this year 2019 hit. We noticed the bottom portion where the freezer is starting to ice up. Lots of ice crystals forming all over the food. We thought, well maybe its because we are running the swamp cooler and the humidity is entering the fridge when we open it. Never gave it a thought that less than a year and a half later that something would be wrong with our brand new fridge. Boy were we wrong! A month later, my wife came home and everything in the fridge had melted and spoiled! We checked the temperature on the door display and it displayed the right temperature. Or should I say, the temperature it was supposed to be at. After panicking and trying to salvage whatever food was left by moving it to our garage fridge, we decided to browse the internet for answers. And boy did we find a ton of them with these model types. Apparently this model has an issue which you Samsung will not acknowledge! So after read the instruction of the hundreds of people with the same problem, we reset the fridge and its display came back with the true temperature reading. The fridge is usually set at 0 for freezer and 36 for the fridge. It came back at 57 for the freezer and 71 for the fridge. Big difference after the reset. So obviously now, the fridge kicks back on and starts to cool. So this now happens about once or twice a week. We have to unplug the fridge every 2 to 3 days just to make sure the on board computer gets the right reading and clears the glitch this fridge has. And almost every time we do reset it, the temperature is off by 5 to 10 degrees. We are obviously frustrated. But thats not the worst part. We call Samsung to get someone to repair the fridge because as we were told It has a 2 year warranty and we were told that, No, your model has only 1 year warranty. We were shocked! Not only by that but by when we told Samsung that we were told by Home Depot that it supposedly had a 2 year warranty, that Samsung actually came back with, Oh sorry, we changed it this year. How can you sell an item, tell the customer it comes with 2 year warranty, not only did Home Depot say it, but when you google Samsung refrigerator warranty, it also says 2 years. Then when one breaks, back out of it completely and say Our bad, its one year now. We have 2 kids, we are not rich in any way. We work very hard and try our best to do everything we can for our family. We mustard up the finances to buy this fridge. Not only did we buy the fridge, we also bought a Samsung dishwasher for a matching set. And now we sit here with a fridge we cant use. We lost 300 dollars worth of food and have a $2,000.00 dollar piece of furniture in the kitchen now. After arguing with Samsung for hours which by the way were very rude on the phone, they did us a favor by sending a tech out free of charge to look at it. The guy came out, dusted off the back and cleaned the front grill at the bottom and said theres nothing wrong with it and that there was nothing that he could do. Didnt do any testing on it at all! He actually said its probably our fault for by not monthly cleaning the back of it? Are you serious.? Our Kenmore in the garage has been running for 21 years non stop. And Samsung wants to blame us because there was some dust on the back of the fridge? Wow Samsung, you really know how to stand behind your products. This has set our family back bad financially. We have to use our old fridge in the garage now which is smaller and doesnt accommodate our now growing family, which is the reason we upgraded. Or should I say downgraded. We lost a lot of food. My son has allergies so we have to buy the expensive gluten free food for him. We are still paying on the fridge that you wont repair because of a warranty you lied about. Or that you said changed the next year after our purchase. The ice maker in the fridge is another story. Doesnt work, has to be cleared everyday or it wont make ice. All this in less than 2 years of owning it. I will not let this go. I will write, paste and pass this story anyway I can. This is not right for you to sell a product and walk away from a known problem with these model refrigerators. We cannot afford to buy another one and we cringe at the payment due from Home Depot every month. This is not customer service! This is you ripping a family off from their dreams of having a nice home to raise their kids up in and having the tools to do it with. Thanks for crushing that Samsung and Home Depot. Shawn **

I purchased a Samsung OTR microwave in August 2015. The microwave has stopped working. The front control panel is totally dead. It doesnt even display the time. I have spoken to 4 different people from Samsung Support and a Samsung authorized repair shop representative. All of these folks have asked me if there is a problem with the electrical outlet or the breaker. I have tried to explain that the breaker is fine and the unit is getting power. We plugged in other items into the outlet to confirm. Now I am being told that I have to uninstall the microwave in order for a technician to look at it. I am 65 year old woman and I do not have the ability to uninstall this appliance nor do I have anyone that can do this for me. Samsung says it is their policy not to uninstall the appliances. REALLY? Well it is not my policy to have an appliance break in 6 months! I also purchased a Samsung oven, dishwasher and refrigerator at the same time. Cant wait for all of them to break within the next year so I can try to figure out how to uninstall all of them?? This is ridiculous. Dont buy Samsung.

Bought Samsung model DW80F600/AA dishwasher from Lowes for all the features
Bought Samsung model DW80F600/AA dishwasher from Lowes for all the features it had like quietness, stainless steel exterior/interior and food grinding capabilities. All was good until it suddenly started leaving dirt on dishes. After trying a few different dish washer detergents, decided to call in for repairs. Could not get a technician immediately so had to wait about a week. The technician eventually came and I must say he was really on time. He took a look and decided it was a return valve that needed to be replaced. However, he did not have it and it had to be ordered. The actual part was a small rubber valve that costs under $2. How it would not be in his van really beggars belief. So he ordered the part and had to come again after two weeks to allow for the part to arrive (was shipped by UPS ground!).Second time round, technician was not as much on time as the previous time but in fairness, called in early to say he would be late. So I have no fault with that. He called again when he was about 10 minutes away so I met him at my property. He quickly replaced the valve and ran a quick test. All seemed fine. And now the big disappointment! After just a couple of days, the dishwasher started behaving the same way as previously. I thought, if the original diagnosis was correct, then the return valve must have gone again. I looked at the return valve and it looks like a part that can easily fault so obviously Samsung never gave it some real thought. And now that they know it bends so easily, why dont their technicians carry it in their vans and as a result have to make two trips to carry out a repair? So, continuing with the dishwasher saga, technician called in again. As usual, the first visit is without parts but I still have to wait in the house for either a morning or afternoon appointment. This time decided he needed to replace two more parts (a sensor and a drain pump). As before, had to wait for the parts to ship by UPS to my house. Another appointment in 2 weeks to allow for the parts to be delivered.Fourth time, they sent a different technician. Spent about a couple of hours replacing the parts. Said all was well and left. Hardly a day went by and the same error code resurfaced. All this time, I had been calling the number that was provided by Lowes to schedule service. But this time, I decided I would call Samsung customer service direct. Did so and told them I have already had 4 technician visits. They said they do not have any record of it! They set me up with a new technician to come in and take a look. First appointment was on a Thursday but they cancelled it a day before saying the parts will not have been available. So they set it up for the Friday following the Thursday. Technician came, opened the dishwasher bottom piece, asked for a paper towel, wiped away some water from the sensor that was replaced previously then put it back. Ran a short cycle and it would not drain. He then concluded that it was not working as expected because I had a food disposal unit on the sink. Told me that their appliances should not be connected to the same plumbing as the food disposal so advised that I get a plumber to modify the plumbing. Was fed up at this stage. How on earth do they make appliances that will not work if there is a food disposal attached knowing very well that almost every modern American home has a food disposal unit under the sink????Looked up the user manuals. Found no evidence of mention of food disposal units so decided I was being taken for a ride. Called Samsung customer service again and they told me all they can do is send a technician again to get a second opinion. Told them I already had 5 visits. They told me they only have evidence of one. Asked to speak to a supervisor. None was available so set up an appointment for a supervisor call back. Supervisor called back within about an hour and said the best she could do was send a technician out again. Bad news is I have to wait another 8 days as there is nothing available sooner. So now waiting for the sixth visit and possibly a 7th, because I am pretty sure the technician will not be carrying any parts.I have never been so disappointed by an appliance before. Should have carried out more research before I landed on a Samsung. My older dishwasher was doing a much better job and I wish I had kept it. Dont lose your money buying this appliance!! Samsung should either get their act together or stick to things they do well in such as phones and televisions. They should stay out of the appliance business for now!
