Bought the Samsung French door refrigerator in 2014. In 2015, it stopped cooling twice. Had to be thawed at home since it is already out of warranty. Which is ridiculous. Samsung service is of no assistance. Just refer you to a local repair shop who refers you elsewhere because they refuse to service Samsungs products. If I had known about the short life of this refrigerator and the inability of it to perform its only job of cooling food, Id have definitely switched to another brand before the purchase of this $1,500 piece of pretty - looking junk. Samsung has been made aware of this design flaw for years, but due to selfishness and greed have refused to address the issue, fix / redesign the problem coils, or even recall their junk refrigerators. They have done a huge disservice to their consumers by allowing these pieces of junk to remain on the market without fixing the issues. I feel they should be made to recall the problem appliances. We lost over $300 in food and even the babys formula. Theres no excuse to sell high priced junk to consumers without standing behind your products. Bad business practices. Samsung should just stick with cell phones and computers. Their refrigerators are not worth the money or bad reviews. Just stay away!

What a huge disappointment with my less than 3 year old Samsung Fridge!!! And their aftercare service! As soon as I bought this refrigerator, Model # RF24FSEDBSR/AA which costed me $3,400 started having a problem within a week from the installation. Samsung sent me 2 different the 3rd party vendors to fix the problem since the 1st one couldnt. These two 3rd party vendors moved around my refrigerator in order to take a look at the back at that time. For last 5-6 months my fridge stopped cooling and it was accumulating ice in the back panel along with lots water dripping on the wall panel. Foods were easily molding and spoiled. When I called Samsung, they stated its because the refrigerator is not leveled and eventually its ruined fan functions. My refrigerator stayed exactly how the Samsung repairman left little less than 3 years ago with the wheels touch ground which was causing unleveling and eventual ruining the fridge completely. Samsung was showing no apology nor remedy whatsoever since the warranty time is over. They were asking me to talk to the vendor who left the refrigerator unleveled even though Samsung is the one who hired those vendors 3 years ago. Extremely disappointed with Samsung product and their service. Never buying Samsung products again. Definitely I will let other people to hear my voice every chance I get.

NewSamsung Dishwasher Model DW80F600UTS lots of different issues. From Day 1 hasnt worked properly. Steam vent under front of door wasnt shutting off, so water would leak out the front. HEAVY light started blinking, and pump wouldnt turn off, power wouldnt turn off, either. Had to turn off at breaker. Dried out the flood pan and sensor, and saw moisture on the water intake hose coupling, so tightened that. That helped for a week, then it went off again. Seems to be leaking out of tub, not hose. Luckily, still under warranty so service is coming in a few days.SERVICE: Parts take 10 days!! So the repair guy comes, figures out what is wrong, then has to order the part and come again. It can be 2 weeks before you can use your new dishwasher again! When I talk to the service company (that is not Samsung, but certified to do their repairs), they make it sound like they know exactly what the problem is before they come out - leading me to believe they had a lot of this problem!! Never will buy a Samsung appliance again! Wish I had come here first to read the complaints.

I had bought Samsung fridge freezer side by side and bought quite early as it was on special offer and our home had just started the renovation. So when the delivery came did not open as we put trust on the consumer products and because it was dusty in the house. I just kept it in the box. Once the renovation was done opened the box so excitedly and what do I see? Big dent on the door and small dent on the side of the fridge. We rang Samsung straight away and explained to them what we found and why we delayed on opening the box. But they did not want to know as it was over 28 days. I ask them to just replace the door and that has big dent but No. We have families and friends come to visit us and they see the dent on the door and they laugh. Not on us but on Samsung, and they say See SAMSUNG ARE NOT GOOD.There is no reliability that Samsung offers to their customers after the product is sold. Reading all the other reviews, looks like these problems are just a beginning. I have Samsung products that we have are phones, TV, DVD recorder. We have had issue only with our Samsung fridge freezer, but with this experience we promised ourselves not to purchase any Samsung merchandise in the future. Very very poor service from Samsung home appliance and customer relations. But hey guess what if any of the staff or any other higher position and CEO family and friends had problem they would have helped them with one click.

Bought this dishwasher to replace the original one that we bought (16yrs old) when we built our home. The old worked MUCH better! The only reason I did not return was because hubby installed it and I didnt want to go through the trouble the take out and return to Home Depot. It is quiet but I would rather it be noisy and actually clean my dishes. Had I known I would be hand washing after running a cycle I wouldnt even have bought a new one. Ive done everything that has been suggested, I have to run it on storm wash just to get them halfway clean. I love ALL my other Samsung products except the dishwasher. Look elsewhere for yours!Pam

Have bought (FROM BEST BUY) the Samsung Family Hub Fridge 3 weeks ago. (SERIAL # 08EM43BH300343N. MODEL CODE: RF22K9581SR/AA) We tried to connected it to our iPhone (6) after downloading the apps. It didnt work. We called Samsung VIP Number & they promised that a technician will contact us... to no avail. We have been calling & calling again & after our 10th attempts, we were said that this product is new on the market & that Samsung Technician are studying the case. My question is the following, how can you introduce a new technology in the US market without prior testing it? Why do you want me to pay $4,000 for a technology that doesnt work? Your credibility is at stake as well as your after sales service. Your supervisor didnt even deign to call us back despite our several calls. If this the way you are treating your new customers? I have always bought LG product & I wanted to shift to Samsung! I do regret my choice & I miss deeply the courteous & most efficient after sales service of LG. In short if I have no echo back from you within a week time, I will return your fridge back to Best Buy.

We bought our Samsung fridge with icemaker in 2015 and loved the design for storage. We had several issues with defrosting and the fridge developing ice and the back and freezing food. We started to take a day once a year to defrost it over 24 hours and it worked for a couple years but we called it this year. It froze up again (early this year) and we defrosted it again but it never got back to properly keeping our food cool but not frozen. Our local repair person told us he wouldnt waste our time because hes gone to service Samsung fridges many times and bought new parts but it never helped. When we had our new fridge delivered the delivery person commented that theyve removed mostly Samsung fridges from peoples homes. They look good but not worth it. Ours lasted 6 years! Thats not long for over $2,000.00. Not to mention the environmental impact!

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher in 2013 from Lowes. Initially it worked fairly well, however, just like everyone else that has purchased this model, error codes such as E9 started in less than 6 months of use. I watched the videos online and can now take it apart like a professional. Now it is broken again, in a new and inventive way. The rubber parts inside have become soft and need to be replaced. I hope that is the only problem, but doubt it. I purchased this model because it was highly rated as quiet. Yes, it is quiet, especially when it doesnt work.

My side-by-side Samsung refrigerator, model RS265TDRS, was purchased in December 2010, so its about 3.5 years old. Very expensive unit. It started making noise sounding like a generator - so loud, I was afraid something was breaking in there. When I opened the refrigerator door it would stop, then start again when the door was closed. We moved the food into another refrigerator and freezer, unplugged this unit, and made arrangements with Samsung for a service call. (That itself was an adventure: Samsung rep never responded to email; the phone number in the refrigerator manual was for mobile phone service; the online form for a service request didnt work under several browsers. Finally used live chat and had the chat rep fill out the service request for me.)Two weeks later, I plugged in the unit in preparation for the service techs visit. No noise. The service tech called me to confirm the appointment, then suggested we cancel the service call, because (a) with no noise, he cant really diagnose a problem; (b) chances are it was just ice build-up and may never happen again; (c) removing the panel to get at the fan means removing all tech, because everything is attached to the panel, and that means replacing the panel because you cant just put it back on after its been taken off; and (d) something like his labor and the panel wouldnt be covered by warranty anyway after 3.5 years. These are expensive refrigerators. I like lots of things about it, but I think its ridiculous that I should have to unplug my refrigerator every now and then to make sure ice doesnt build up, and its ridiculous that this problem wouldnt be covered under a warranty. For anyone who has the same fan-sounds-like-a-generator problem, unplug it for a while and save yourself the hassle of getting in touch with Samsung. Im really hoping this solves the problem.

Samsung counter refrigerator rf197acrs - After one year, our great looking Samsung refrigerator started to accumulate water and ice under crispers. We defrosted the refrigerator. It stopped for a while but ice started to accumulate at the back of refrigerator behind wall (you could see buildup through air pockets). In addition, the fan started to make noise and eventually the refrigerator shut down all together. As we were waiting for someone to help us, we called Samsung with little help as we did not purchase additional warranty. We called Lowes with little help; however they were sympathetic to our predicament. We finally had repairman out and he exchanged part at back of refrigerator wall but that also failed. He came out again and replaced the same part with a new one and here I am waiting for this one to break! This situation leaves one with a feeling of hopelessness!

I have complained since day one, when this piece of junk was delivered to my house! To begin with, they delivered the wrong fridge from Conns in Baton Rouge LA (named appropriately). I tried to explain to the delivery men that I had ordered a white fridge that matches my kitchen, with nothing black in it! The fridge has never worked! It finally got so hot last week, I had to turn it off and put outside. As everyone online said, I can forget Samsung or Conns help or sympathy in this matter! I will not go out of my way on Facebook and any place anyone will listen to me and expose this factory and Appliance store. They have the worst name is their refrigerators than anyone I have ever of! Now, I can truly understand why! I wish everyone would get together and sign a class action lawsuit against these phonies. They should be closed permanently! I am a widow and Ive on coc sec. income and now I have no refrigerator, Samsung and Conns could care less. When I first bought the fridge 3 yrs ago, I tried to make them replace it and save 6 service trips because it was a lemon, but now I hear that all they have are lemons and they could care less.

I tried to warm up some leftovers and the Samsung microwave model SMH9187ST just stopped. I reset the time and tried again only to have the thing display X and 0 and then went dead. I checked the circuit breakers and all were fine. I checked the manual and unplugged the unit, waited a minute and plugged it in but no luck - still dead. I called customer relations and Gerardo informed me that the unit was out of warranty and he could schedule a repair at my cost. I informed him that this was our first Samsung appliance and having it break just over 2 years when we only warm up leftovers is not acceptable. I told him that we had a LItton counter top microwave which we had for over 20 years without any problems and sold it when we purchased this unit. He checked for any recalls and said that there were no issues similar to mine and I would have to have it repaired. I told him this would be the first and last Samsung product I will ever buy and I will tell my friend and relatives not to buy this crap. I, too, checked Consumer Reports prior to buying this unit just like one of the posters here and bought it because they gave it a good rating. I will not trust them anymore.

Range is 5 months old. Will not hold temp that it is set at. Set at 350 inside thermometer shows after oven is open temp drops. I have been told that no more parts can be replaced. Technician replaced all parts already. Company told technician to tell me to figure out what temp I want to bake at and adjust temp to that temp. It starts out at 380 per the technicians meter when stove is set to bake at 350. Last technician told me to cook one tray cookies at a time because when I pilot in 2 trays, that is making temp drop because heat cant circulate properly with 2 trays and that is why heat temp drops. WHAT? I have been baking for 40 years and have ways been able to bake 2 trays at one time. Sure temp will drop a few degrees when you open oven but I have to shut oven off in order to preheat it each time I open the door to get it to come back to the temp I set. I see all these problems people are having with fires and I am scared to death. I want it fixed right or would appreciate if Lowes would give me credit to get a different make. I will never buy another Samsung product. I did call federal trade commissioner office to give my complaint. Maybe if everyone else called and voiced their complaint, maybe Samsung would have to be responsible and fix these issues.

Purchased refrigerator during October 2015 and appliance began giving problems about 8 months later. After much bureaucracy to get a repair through warranty, the problem still remains. The Ice Maker freezes in the back of the refrigerator and stops the Ice Making mechanism from making Ice until the ice built up in the back is chilled away or melted with a blow dryer. This process needs to be performed every three weeks. Water also leaks from the ice dispenser and the crisper tray seems to accumulate water under it and ultimately it leaks to the floor under the fridge.

I bought the RF263beasr/aa. Junk, junk and junk. Problem is plain and simple and should never occurred on a new Fridge. Icing problem on the back at the point that you can hear the fans hitting and scraping the ice. And the Ice maker also develops ICE. Read instructions and forums and I leveled the fridge. I made sure that the gaskets of the doors are fully closed and the gasket of the ice maker fully closes and seals the ice maker when door is closed. Fridge is 3 years old and it still has the same problems. I have to get the ice maker every month and use my hair dryer to deice the ice maker. I also once a week I force a defrost cycle plus turn the fridge off for 4 hours to let the coils defrost. My old previous fridge was a GE 15 years old. Nothing wrong with my old fridge (NOTHING, no ice maker problems nor icing problems). I made the big mistake of remodeled the kitchen and bought new appliances. I bought Frigidaire stove, Microwave and dishwasher. My wife insisted on the SAMSUNG Fridge because of the looks and I pampered her... BIG MISTAKE!!!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL BUY A SAMSUNG PRODUCT AGAIN!!!! SUPPORT SUCKS. Customer service SUCKS!!! One thing I love though: I am an IT Manager and I get to say and approve what Technology to buy in my office with 800 users and guess what!!!! I turn down everything Samsung!!! From printers, PCs, laptops, faxes, TVs, monitors, etc, etc ,etc!!! Nothing Samsung ever again... And any other agency that I do business with I spread the word!!!

The warranty is up in our fridge and the light bulb has gone out. Im unhappy with Samsung appliances, and do not recommend buying any of their products. As soon as the warranty expires, the appliance falls apart. And they will not fix it. They want more money from you, after spending $2,000.00 on a fridge! The first day I bought it, the handle fell off!! It was still under warranty, but they wanted to charge me $150.00 for a service repair. Over the last couple of weeks, I noticed tiny amounts of water at the bottom corner edge of my refrigerator (RF28HFEDTSR), right underneath the pull out drawer for the freezer. Thought it was just an ice cube that had found its way under the refrigerator and melted. This morning, I noticed the edges of my hardwood floors buckling up. Discovered water leaking from the top of the refrigerator that must have been seeping into the floor. Turned off ice maker and turned off water to refrigerator. Water still leaking from the top. Ive had to replace the towel twice within a two hour period. From what Ive read online, this is a very common problem with no real fix. Samsung, step up and do the right thing. Please do not buy from Samsung stores. Visit the store for the features and benefits of various products, but buy from other Samsung dealers who also deal many brands. Samsung store people are hopeless after sales. Dealers other than Samsung stores put customer satisfaction first and help you in getting the refund or replacement. Called my home warranty again. Sent out another guy. He couldnt figure it out, sent out another guy. Stated to unplug the fridge. Let it completely defrost and then plug it back in. It started working again, one month later bam now not only the ice maker isnt working the water isnt working. Called my home warranty again, they disconnected something that should have never been put in there. Started working again, now no ice again water works. Called Samsung, told them what I have been going through. They brushed me off. Spent over 1700.00 on this damn appliance that wont even make ice, the filter alone is 50.00 every 6 months to replace. Needless to say the bag of ice I have to buy every three days that cost 4.69, and Samsung just brushes you off. I am one pissed off consumer right now.

Bought this new side by side bottom freezer Samsung refrigerator 2 years ago and it has been nothing but headaches ever since. Ice maker has quit and been replaced three times, water leaks into the bottom of refrigerator. Ice maker freezes up. Have called for service while under warranty and got nowhere, told me the temp was not low enough or door left open which neither ever happened. I got all excuses until my warranty was up. This is the biggest piece of junk I have ever bought and will never buy or suggest to anyone to buy a Samsung product again, whether it be appliance, or musical equipment, or phones or anything with Samsung name on it.

Two delivered within 30 days, and both had a computer issue: I purchased the 25.6 cubic foot French door Samsung refrigerator in November 2012. I had been told by salesmen at two different stores that Samsung was the best refrigerator you could buy. I took their word for it and stopped looking at any other brands. When my fridge was delivered and set up, the delivery man said he was pushing the power freeze button to cool it off quickly so I could put my food back in. He mentioned that it would go off on its own once it had cooled down. I noticed that it stayed on -8 degrees for day. I kept thinking there was a problem with the freezer temperature setting. Finally, I called Samsung and was told that if I unplugged it and plugged it back it, that would take care of the problem. Instead, it plummeted to -8 again, although the freezer was set on 0. I finally figured out that the power freeze button was not turning itself off like it should. Samsung says it should stay on approximately 1 1/2 hour then shut off. Feeling like I had purchased a lemon, I requested a different one. The store very graciously brought out another new refrigerator. After the delivery men left, the first thing I did was push power freeze to see what happened. Would you believe that it also never went off? Wondering if other people had experienced the same thing, I searched on the internet and found this forum. I am so grateful to have found out the problems that exist with Samsung refrigerators before my 30 days are up. I now have 5 days left to request it to be picked up and my money returned. I have also talked with a few servicemen who have told me that they would never own a Samsung. I will say that the look and feel of the Samsung is wonderful. I dont think it will be possible to find any other brand that I like better as far as the inside set up, durable feeling of the shelves and bins; but looking pretty isnt worth anything if it isnt reliable.

I purchased my range 4 yrs ago. I love my Samsung TVs so, I thought the range would be great. No way!!!! I love to cook and consider myself a pretty tasty chef. This range has made good cooking a challenge. The heating units on this range turn bright red even on Low. This poor control means you cannot simmer a pot on low because it will burn!!! How disappointing!! I would never recommend a Samsung range. What a waste of $$. BAMTiverton RI

I was so excited to purchase this item for my new kitchen remodel last year. I made the purchase in March 2015, believe it was delivered in June 2015. The stove was installed in July 2015 and began use in August 2015. I am out of warranty. The first time I used the self-clean mode, the control panel died and the oven remained locked. I contacted Samsung, who arranged out of warranty service. The stove broke on Friday, service was today (Wednesday). After the technician detached the oven from my grout and backsplash, he determined the thermostat went bad. I paid my $79 service fee and he is ordering the part.Technician is concerned as to what caused the thermostat, saying ideally hed replace the control board, the fan, and the sensor so that he doesnt end up back. I contacted Samsung, very upset with this clear defect. I get the Sorry you are dissatisfied, but you are out of warranty. 15 years I had a Kenmore... never had a problem... ready to go back! DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG PRODUCT, CLEARLY NOT CONSUMER FRIENDLY!!

We purchased this dishwasher in April 2015, but did not have it delivered to us until June when our kitchen was completed. The first dishwasher to arrive was damaged. Had a bent door frame so the door would not close. The company we purchased these from (PC Richards) replaced the dishwasher and a new one was sent. In December 2015 and exactly 6 months from when dishwasher was installed it is no longer cleaning the dishes or drying them. We had a tech come out and it was determined that the heating element was bad. We also showed him a broken wheel on the lower rack. Tech said he would order parts. The parts came in and the tech was here to fix the issue. However, the wrong wheels were sent. To this day we are still without the proper wheels. Also, we have had 3 service calls since the new heat element was installed and still dealing with the dishwasher not cleaning or drying the dishes. The tech made a call to Samsung and they did some tests and it showed the dishwasher is functionally normal with no issues. So here we are with a dishwasher that is only 6 months old not working!! This dishwasher is garbage.

I purchased this refrigerator 18 months ago. After eight months I had to call Samsung because the problems began. The freezer was not working properly and it was making weird noises. The technician came and change everything in the freezer compartment. Today, a year later the fridge compartment does not work. I called Samsung and because the warranty expired they offer me an ONE-time warranty to fix the problem. Honestly, I think this problem is going to continue until a get ready of this refrigerator and buy a new one which by the way I still owe money to Brandsmart. I read a lot of this on the internet and there are thousands of people with the same problem. It looks like Samsung is making disposable refrigerators that last less than a year before they broke out. I am a single mother and this is not fair. I asked Samsung in the beginning to replace the refrigerator and they say not because it was fixable. All my appliances are Samsung and I am very scared that pretty soon everyone is going to break down.

Bought 3-Door Refrigerator/Freezer (RFG299AARS). The plastic part behind the freezer handle broke. Samsung sent wrong part to replace it and said they had discontinued the item. Couldnt find anything that wasnt generic and had to be modified to fit the unit. The glass crisper cover broke immediately and the weight of the full drawers broke the humidity selections out as well. Cannot place any weight on top of the cover. Now the vegetables arent climate controlled and the vegetables will freeze. Climate control throughout the refrigerator is not even and anything pushed to back of refrigerator freezes. The same for anything at the very front. An expensive, $3,000, piece of junk. What can stop this fraud perpetrated on the public, especially when consumer advocate groups rate this product so highly? Had to fight to get the extended warranty protection directly from Samsung to be honored. Then the repairman refused to return because he hadnt been paid by the company.

I bought a Samsung RF217ACRS refrigerator in Sept of 2010. In short it was a lemon from the day we bought it. The ice maker immediately had to be repaired, then shortly after that replaced. We were also experiencing water leaking into our crisping drawers spoiling our vegetables as it pooled up to 1/2. The repair person that came to replace the ice maker made a guess as to what was happening and did a nonstandard repair in the back panel where the water runs down to fill the ice trays. He fixed it temporarily. The last time our ice maker was replaced was February of 2012 and here we are once again with a broken ice maker and water pooling in our crisping drawers 1.5 years later and Samsung will do nothing for us. I am an interior designer and have been specifying appliances for homes for over 20 years, and will never recommend nor purchase from Samsung again.

3 of 4 Samsung appliances have now died in 5 yrs. Today SMH9187 microwave door latch broke after giving Error 13 the other day. Reading other reviews Im now afraid it will turn on by itself and burn my house down! Worse, Samsung dishwasher broke in 18 months and not only leaked on my hardwood floors but got so hot I needed a potholder to turn off after 5 hrs and it wouldnt stop. Lowes at least stepped in, said these were so bad I got a new Bosch Ive loved now for 3 yrs. Samsung counter depth refrigerator also had icemaker die in under 2 yrs. Lowes replaced it due to extended warranty but now 3 yrs later I tried again with warranty expired. Also had 2 Samsung LCD TVs die in 2 yrs, with both a Blu-ray player and separate DVD go belly up in that time too. Stupid name for ever buying anything from them after 2nd item. Needless to say I will NEVER EVER AGAIN BUY ANYTHING FROM SAMSUNG! Unbelievably bad quality and worse, truly dangerous!! Stay away, hope they go out of business soon.

We purchased our Samsung RF 4287HARS in 2011 and began using it in 2012. The ice dispenser has stopped working because of a broken plastic switch inside the dispenser module. The ice maker is producing ice but it cannot be dispensed from the dispenser. Based on a little investigating we have found this is not an uncommon problem. We contacted Samsung on several occasions to correct this apparent product defect. Trying to get someone on the telephone has been challenging and extremely time consuming. At this point, we have not received a favorable response. It appears that the product (see attached picture) is defective and poorly designed but Samsung is not responding to our requests for assistance. We remain hopeful that Samsung will agree to correct this apparent design flaw and show us that they are willing to stand behind their highly taunted refrigerator.

I called Famous Tate in Tampa where we bought it and was told to call Samsung direct. The tech came out and said nothing he could do but apply silicon to seal the ice maker and hope for the best. Well it didnt help and then Famous Tate sent one of their techs and he basically said the same thing. The ice maker is flawed and we will have to live with it. Why? Updated on 06/16/2019: Well, hello folks! It’s been a couple of years since I last posted. Still the same old fridge complaints. The repair guy has been here at least 4 more times since 2017. Same repairs, circuit boards, etc. THIS time he said Non-Repairable! But it’s ok, the company said they would send a check for 800 dollars. Seems they subtract the prior repairs from your purchase price!! How clever!! Which means the extended warranty is a joke! Hey!! Guess what! I paid a lot more than $800! I now am so sick of Samsung, that I will never, never again be so foolish. Btw the Samsung microwave has been just as bad. This has got to stop. These companies are not concerned about longevity, just sales. I’m ashamed of them.Original Review: Well, fridge is blowing the circuit breaker again. 2nd time in less than 2 yrs. Took 2 mos. the first time to get it fixed, wonder how long this time? H. H. Gregg in Cincinnati is now out of business, although they wasnt much help in the first place, and ext. warranty is dragging their feet again. All brand new appliances after we got our new house, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, washer, etc. controls on the stove never have worked right. Anything below 3 on the burners may work, may not. I wish I just had a fridge that cooled, let alone the icemaker working. Supposedly a couple circuit boards went bad the 1st time, and its doing the same thing this time. So we are patiently waiting for a serviceman to call back, meantime living out of a couple of coolers. BUYING SAMSUNG WAS WITHOUT A DOUBT the BIGGEST MISTAKE OF OUR LIVES!!! This company doesnt care about ANYTHING, except selling you a bill of goods! Well, they sold me once, but NEVER again. I thought they were a good company. Apparently not.

In Dec 2014, we had to call the Samsung repair service company (A & E Factory Service Thornton, CO) to make the ice maker work. The service company told us the Ice maker needed to be replaced. On May 12, 2016 my Samsung side-by-side refrigerator (model RSG257AAWP) that I purchased on April 14, 2012 stopped cooling. It has been an absolute nightmare trying to work with Samsung to have someone come out to diagnose the problem. It is now May 23, 2016 and I am still calling Samsung trying to find resolution. I was assigned to a repair service (Home Service Network) on May 14th. On May 16th they informed me that they dont have any technicians that could work on my refrigerator. I called Samsung back and my ticket was reassigned to another repair service (Priceless Appliance Services). I was told that companies are to respond in 1-2 business days. I waited. Nothing! I called Samsung again. My ticket was reassigned again (Mr. Appliance of Central Maryland) and again I did not receive a call from this service repair company. When I called Samsung once more, today May 23rd, my ticket is showing that its assigned to Priceless and not even the last company that I was given so it appears that my ticket was not even reassigned. Now Im starting to think that the Samsung warranty policy is a sham. If they refer a customers ticket to enough non-responsive repair companies, at some point, especially with such an essential appliance as a refrigerator, the customer will become totally frustrated and seek to resolve the issue with a non Samsung repair service. This deems your appliance out of warranty even if you only have someone diagnose but not fix the product that you have so desperately tried to seek help for from Samsung. BE AWARE! BE CAUTIOUS! Its probably best to NEVER, EVER purchase Samsung appliances. In the future, I will only purchase appliances made in the USA.

Bought this fridge a little over a year ago. Paid about $2500. Loved the flexzone and 4 doors after have an LG bottom pull drawer type prior that kept coming off track. Unfortunately after about 8 months the ice-maker has done nothing but give us complete fits. Husband has used School of YouTube to repair it at least once every 8 weeks for the past year. Constantly freezes up or just will not make ice at all. Also, drips continually out of the ice chute, leaving scale marks on the door. Sadly, I purchased all matching Samsung black stainless steel appliances so I would want to replace them all. I wish I could give less than one star because thats how disgusted I am with my French door Samsung refrigerator. I purchased it about four years ago. After two years I finally figured out that it was icing up in the back and fortunately it was still under a warranty I had purchased with Lowes but it took close to a month to get all the parts etc. Also lost lots of food. Now again 2 years later the same thing. I called Samsung and became even more irate with the callous we dont give a crap attitude. This refrigerator needs to be recalled and Samsung sued because a company with morals would at least attempt to make a better product after so many of the same problems for so many years. This was to hopefully be my last refrigerator and now I cant even afford to fix the stupid thing. You can add me to the class action lawsuit as well and Samsung needs to recall and take responsibility for wasting our money. I also have a child and infant in the house - Im fearful that someone will end up with food poisoning. This is a huge safety issue Samsung!!!Updated on 07/03/2015: I finally threw most of my food away and pulled the plug on the fridge. It took three days but it finally defrosted. I then plugged it back in and for the time being it is cold and working fine. I suspect that I will end up doing this several times this year but as stupid as it sounds Im bound and determined to get a little more use out of it. So if anyone is in the same situation you might try to unplug, defrost it manually and plug it back in. Hope this can help somebody.

We bought the Samsung Electric Convection Range from QVC in 2013 Model#FTQ3531WUX. It appears this was a 2012 Model we received. Stove seemed nice looking, burners & warming drawer worked great. The oven always seemed to heat slow and I felt the Convection wasnt quicker than regular oven. I really did not know about convection until my in-law said his Maytag convection was very fast cooking. So after going 2 years the oven decided to not heat anymore with an E-08 code. Called Samsung and of course they want you to disconnect power like thats a fix all. Nope. So they offer a name of repair person. Long story short, I paid $100 for the guy to come and tell me that it will cost another $500 for a motherboard! And I didnt even mention all the crude that has gotten between the glass doors that you cannot get out! My old Hot Point stove worked better and longer than this one! I have read all the same problems as mine and even explosions! Wish some attorney would start a class action suit! Do not buy it is junk!

When we moved from a townhouse to a condo we purchased all new appliances, one of which was a Samsung induction range. The range was delivered in August 2016 and we finally had it removed in December 2016. Over that time we had to have three on site repair visits and would have had to have a fourth if the unit had not been removed. The stove top worked fine until one day we heard a loud pop and a fuse blew. Two of the burners had to be replaced. The oven was a disaster. It did not work more often than it actually worked. Most often what would happen is that we would put something in the oven and then the control panel at the front of the stove would stop working. No amount of touching of buttons would make the thing work.We ended up throwing out more food than we actually were able to cook. Samsung service is terrible. They insist on starting any conversation with a web chat. Then you need to call an 800 number to get a repair scheduled. Then you need to work with the repair company. Everyone points fingers at everyone else. Finally we had to get the store that we purchased the unit from to work with the Samsung rep who finally agreed to replace the unit (with another brand). I would not recommend a Samsung range.

Bought this from SEARS just before Christmas around December 22 of 2010 to match the Samsung Stove that I bought for the new home that we had just moved into. Looked great and I was very pleased until it stopped working on Jan. 4th of 2012 (approximately). Throwing the error code SE and unplugging it and re-plugging it back in would allow it to work for maybe 5 minutes. I was so upset when I called Sears and they wouldnt even entertain the idea of coming out to service it unless I wanted to pay for the service call and whatever the problem was to fix. I realize that there is only a 1-year warranty on the microwave, but come on! It stopped working 2 weeks past the 1-year warranty end. Whatever happened to standing by what you sell? Its a shame that most of these products are made overseas and so cheaply and then sold for way more than they are worth. Its obvious to me that Samsung products are pretty much pieces of crap that arent even worth looking at. I encourage anyone considering one of their products to think twice. I am a very unhappy consumer and will tell everyone that I know to not even consider any product manufactured by Samsung. Yes, I could have purchased an extended warranty but come on people, 54 weeks an appliance works before breaking down and needing repair? That is absolutely absurd. I pretty much told Sears that they lost a customer and anyone else that I knew too. No wonder they are going out of business! They have terrible customer service and dont give a damn about the consumer. I had an independent service company come out to take a look, who, by the way did not charge me for the service call, as I had explained the situation to them. He checked it out and told me the motherboard would have to be replaced and that it would cost almost as much as I paid for the microwave in the first place. How disappointing that I have been sitting here with a microwave for the past 2 years that doesnt work because I dont exactly have the luxury of being able to just go out and purchase a new one every year or two. Im furious at Samsung for manufacturing such a substandard product and then knowing that it has problems, refused to do any kind of recall or offer to repair at no charge and also SEARS for being so not standing behind what they sell. Cheap labor = cheap materials = cheap products. Truly disgusting!

We dont use that much ice. The service man said it would take 7 days for part and I would have to turn off refrigerator and leave door open for 24 hours. Well 3 weeks later no call. He was late the first appointment. I had to call Samsung so they could find out if he was coming. I asked him how to take the glass out to clean. He said he wouldnt because it would break. So I called Samsung again and said I cant ever clean my refrigerator. After a long wait and them trying to figure it out and talking to supervisor they said they would send me an email with pictures and instructions how to remove without breaking. They said the insurance would cover drawer but not glass. So waited for email and of course never got it. So after 3 holidays with no ice maker I will call Samsung again. Still cant clean all of it. If I would have had a clue I would have bought another brand. I will not by anything Samsung again.

Samsung Refrigerator Model RF268ABPN delivered from Best Buy on 14 May 2010
Samsung Refrigerator Model RF268ABPN delivered from Best Buy on 14 May 2010. Display malfunctioned on 22 Feb 2012. Display for ice maker on/off, dispenser display lights are erroneous and show locked for water, nothing for crushed ice, and the Fahrenheit symbol constantly displays. Ice maker control displays are constantly showing off. On 29 Feb 2012, the freezer ice maker is noted as not working.1 Mar 2012, Samsung support contacted. The support tech doesnt comprehend the spoken word as spoken. Multiple attempts were made before tech could comprehend the word malfunctioning and erroneous display. I was advised to make sure the water valve in the wall was on, despite not having one. I was advised to reset the ice maker, which was done, and then was told to make sure the control shows ice maker not locked, which cant be done with piece of crap Chinese display that is malfunctioning. I was advised that the water filter might be clogged, despite good flow from the dispenser. The tech was obviously reading off a check list, and has no clue.I was informed that the warranty is only 1 year, but they would contact a repair tech if I would have to pay for myself. One year? Seriously? We handed out $1,800.00 for a fridge with a one year warranty, that is essentially useless after less than two years. If the repair bill is over $300, its going in the dump. I am done with Samsung and their Chinese made trash period. I get better service, support and warranty out of a pair of $100 boots.

Purchased full kitchen suite August 2016. The only unit we havent had to have repairs on is the range. The refrigerator is the worst of all. On our third repair the unit doesnt defrost properly which causes ice build up and the fan motor freezes. This in turn causes the unit to run at 50 degrees F. So not only are we several hundred into repairs were out several hundred in spoiled food. Appropriate that its Halloween cause the nightmare just wont stop.

Last time repair was completed and product broke within 24 hours. I had purchased additional warranty and was repeatedly refused when I asked for the product to be replaced. I bought a different dishwasher tonight NOT A SAMSUNG less than 5 months after purchase.

Bought a Samsung electric range (NE595R0ABSR) a little over 3 yrs ago and last week the circuit board caught on fire. Called Samsung about it and they told me that they would take care of the parts required, and all I had to do was pay for the installation from the contracted service repair. Now the third party service repair company told me that I had to pay for the parts and not the repair. The cost of parts a little over $430.00. Might as well buy a new stove and it will certainly not be a Samsung. Hopefully a class action lawsuit will come out against Samsung for their highly dangerous stove. I seen on a Canadian website that a few of them had the exact same problem. I will ensure that all Airmen under my command know what horrible customer service Samsung has and how dangerous their products are. I do not want any of them to have to worry about problems from their appliances when they are deployed.

We bought this fridge in 10/2008 when we remodeled our kitchen. The valve has been leaking a while according to the insurance adjuster who denied our claim because of the length of time it leaked and because the valve is defective we are now looking at having to replace valve, floor 2 cabinets and some subfloor. We bought this appliance knowing it would be great. We have many Samsung items and like the quality. But we are disappointed that this happened. We are struggling with life as it is my husband was diagnosed with Arachnoiditis in 2014 and had to go on disability. In June 2016 he had a brain stem stroke and I had to quit work to care for him 24/7. So coming up with the money to repair this while leaving off of disability will be rough. But I dont want my fridge to fall thru the floor. Help is needed, requested and prayed for.

Their own authorized repair depot says they can put in a new water pump but wont guarantee it because my dishwasher is 2 farther to the right than is usual. That is, frankly nonsense. Theyve been here twice, then told me to hire a plumber to fix his mess. That cost another $185.00. They cannot diagnose the problem. With all the testing the steam peeled the laminate off my brand new cabinets. This dishwasher is nothing more than a money pit. My regular service man refused to service it saying that Samsung is garbage. No wonder it is so quiet. They may have well have put in a water pistol than that ineffective pump that is in there. I will never buy another Samsung appliance as long as I live. It has never worked. I stopped using it after the first week because the dishes came out as dirty as they went in, and has been sitting there for cosmetic reasons until I thought I might have it looked at. Now it just wont complete a cycle.

Ice dispenser went crazy and was dispensing ice inadvertently into the kitchen floor. 542 dollars later, new front panel with control board, now will not make ice. A&E/Sears made an effort to repair and 3 days later, still no ice. Repair tech said there is a service bulletin if my unit was made 2 months earlier, but parts are still over 500 dollars. To schedule a Tech, usually takes another 2-3 weeks also. Junk is a conservative adjective for this refrigerator. I have read many reviews of consumers with the same problems. I think it is time for a class action law suit against the manufacturer.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in November 7, 2012. The first one I received did not cool immediately. HH Gregg thought they would send someone out to fix it, a 1600.00 brand new fridge. I told them absolutely not, it would be replaced. The fridge was replaced week of Thanksgiving. The problem is that this new fridge the shelves are all cracked as though there is some type of defect in manufacturers plastic. We had the first one go out last year right before thanksgiving. Samsung sent out A&E local service tech. He was rude to my wife and told her to unplug the unit. We lost all our food - they dont care. But a manager at the local Lowes exchanged mine for a new one. Now same thing, seven months later same thing, this time the service tech said he knew what was wrong as he walked into our house said that it was a design flaw and it happens to all of them. Now were going on three weeks with four kids without a fridge. I spent 2 hours on the phone with a representative and he was even laughing at me a couple of times. Ice will build up and the blower fan is grinding the ice causing the cord to get hot will burn you when you unplug it. Afraid it will catch fire but they still just laughed. Please dont buy from Samsung. They have no customer care at all.

I have just spent the last half hour reading comments on good old Samsung Refrigerator. I have had a problem for the past year and now comes a time. Where do I start? Whats the cost? The digital front settings are being controlled by a ghost; bounces from ice to water, doesnt stop. Cost? Water on the floor. Ice built up on the back of the fridge really thick and water steady on the bottom of the drawers. Cost? Any advice besides throw it to the curb like people have said? Nice fridge; but really, how much money does an average person need to fix repairs? I was going to try and tackle project by myself but will it work or continue the hair dryer every couple of months thawing it out and putting up with dings on the front panel deciding what it wants to do? Any suggestions? Obviously not after reading the reviews. Would never recommend Samsung to anyone. Bad, bad choice I am just fed up with this problem. Thanks Samsung for the Lemon.

Purchased a Samsung Family Hub refrigerator and a Flex Wash washer and dryer 8 months ago. Since then have had the refrigerator ice maker freeze up about every 2 weeks. The fridge has been repaired with ice maker replaced 4 times. Now the washing machine has an error code that Samsung cannot find anyone to fix. Samsung does not offer refunds even though their appliances are junk but does offer replacements. (Oh yay) Samsung guaranteed delivery/replacement in 10 days. This is day 12 with no communication from Samsung. Many hours spent on the phone with Samsung, 4 service trips for the ice maker and now a guaranteed time frame on a replacement that did not happen. Samsung does not care about its customers and sells expensive appliances they do not support. Stay away from these and all Samsung appliances!

I have had this refrigerator (Samsung RF217ACBP) for a little over two years. We have had to fix the ice maker twice because it keeps making ice even when the ice bin is full, then it malfunctions. We figured this out; now we just shut it off every night. A few months ago, we noticed that the veggie crisper has water in it. Now it is so bad that I cannot use the crisper. After research, I realized that it is a known issue. Samsung admitted to me that it is a known problem, but since my warranty is out, I would have to pay to have it fixed. Hows that for great service. I am chalking it up to dont ever buy a Samsung!

After only four years, the evaporator went out with this horrendous noise. Had tough time finding a Samsung repairman in my area. When I called their support line I was told to trouble shoot. In no way was this a trouble shooting matter. I was finally put in touch with a repairman who would actually work on the thing. The evaporator was changed out. The next week, the fan in the new evaporator went out. A whole new evaporator was ordered and put in. This took approximately three weeks. After another two weeks, the refrigerator was not cooling. The repairman came back and said that the unit was working, but the water line froze up. It was defrosted and the unit worked for about 2 weeks and the thing started heating up again. The temperature read 57 degrees. So, I was out a refrigerator for a total of 2 months, not counting the amount of food lost. I am joining a class action suit and getting rid of this piece of crap. Will NEVER recommend anything Samsung to anyone.

4 Years ago I upgraded 4 of my appliances, 2 of them Samsung fridge and microwave. Fridge broke in 2013. Microwave broke this month. Called Samsung informed them its not working and gave burning smell and they recommended to have microwave evaluated by tech which I refused (reason written below between they told me after 1 year no warranty). Went to Best Buy and bought GE microwave. Hopefully it will last long. Our TV from Samsung already broke of course. Last year when my fridge broke, I called Samsung. In short they recommended CERTIFIED technician who came and couldnt pinpoint issue (FREEZER SIDE WAS NOT WORKING, MELTING EVERYTHING). He told me it could be one of many reason and recommended to change 3-4 expensive parts plus his labor cost. I could buy new fridge comparing parts and labor cost. My opinion Samsung products dont last long. If you have money to throw, do buy them.

We purchased our Samsung Dishwasher from Best Buy in February of 2014 as part of a 4 appliance suite for our kitchen remodel. BIG MISTAKE! We did not buy the extended warranty through Best Buy. The dishwasher started to fail (would not complete the cycle) in February of 2015. It was still barely under warranty so Samsung sent VA Electronics out to repair this problem. Worked until Sept 2015 when the same issue came back and the front door started to leak. Had to pay VA Electronics $99 to come back out to repair the problem, but it just started leaking again! We have a Samsung 3 door fridge with a bottom freezer (Model RF217ACPN) which has been leaking water into the crisper ever since we bought it. The first year we had it, it started to leak water and Samsung sent a service man out to fix it. He fixed it but months later it started to leak again. After he fixed it, 3 weeks later it leaked again. Samsung has paid for all of these repairmen at a cost of $200.00 a visit. When we call Customer Service about a refund or replacement we get stonewalled. They will not even let us talk to anyone higher than a customer service rep. We are very frustrated as they say their tech dept. has to deem this unit as having a factory defect. I dont know, and they cant tell me, how this is determined. They have already spent almost the original price of the fridge in repair bills but refuse to make this whole thing right. We are done with Samsung and will not buy anything from them unless they resolve this matter to our satisfaction!

Samsung Microwave model # SMH8165ST - I bought this microwave in May of 2011, and it has gone out on me flashing the SE error code across the keypad. Nothing helps; the breaker is not tripped and I tested the plug to make sure it works. It is completely un-usable and of course the warranty has expired. I had to pay $500 plus to get it installed over my stove and a week or so later, pay an electrician another $500 to put in a new breaker for it because it kept tripping. I have been reading a lot of reviews on Samsung models with the very same problem. It appears to me that these should have been recalled long ago, but Samsung continued to sell them.I am 73 and on a fixed income, have no husband to make repairs, and pulling the thing out of my kitchen is out of the question for the moment. It looks like Im stuck; I feel this microwave should have served me for many years no more than I use it. Next week, 7 grandchildren will be here for a week for Camp Grandy and I cant imagine not having a working microwave! Hopefully, this helps someone else. I will certainly steer away from Samsung products from now on. I gave it 2 stars because it did last almost 3 years.

This appliance (Over the Range 2.1 Cu.Ft. Microwave Oven) was bought in April, 2016 for $500.00. In April, 2018 the vent began turning itself when no one was using the oven & ion. August 13th a fire had just started while I was asleep. Luckily I woke up & was able to unplug the oven. 8/14/16 I contacted Samsung. I was hung up on or suddenly disconnected a few times but was finally given a repair ticket. A repair shop called on 8/16 and told my husband that he had to take the microwave off its mount by 8/20 because they were coming. Although Samsung was paying them they could only come at one particular time on 8/20 and would not reschedule. Also they refused to come unless the microwave was unmounted. Two people have to unmount the microwave so we had to arrange help or that was it! I called Samsung right afterward and they said the ticket was canceled. From then on we got the runaround and the gist of it was that wed have to pay $200.00 or the cost of a repair, not having any idea whether or not it could be repaired.

We purchased a very expensive/nice Samsung refrigerator two years ago. Recently we smelled a burning smell and then woke up to find that the entire refrigerator had gone out. The handy dandy electronic panel on the front complete with wifi/music/weather was still working perfectly saying that the fridge was cooling. IT WAS NOT! After, transferring the entire fridge/freezer to multiple coolers on a Sunday we proceeded to call to get a repairman on Monday morning. Well, come to find out not many people can repair these fridges! So, we talked to Samsung customer service who promised to send someone out. A day later, we hear from someone who is coming the next day. Mind you it has now been three days without refrigeration. They finally show up, after we were talked into purchasing a protection plan for another year since ours had expired. After looking at the refrigerator for ten minutes it is decided that the entire compressor is out. They put the fridge right back in place and said they would be in touch. They have to ORDER the compressor (which takes two weeks at least) after they call to get it covered by Samsung. Apparently the compressor is covered for 5 years which means we didnt need to buy the other coverage for $300. I will NEVER buy another Samsung anything and I just want to let everyone else know to steer clear!!!! I hope Samsung will read this and someone up the line at Corporate will take a look at their customer service department!

Have had my $3000 Samsung Refrig for just over 5 years. Similar results as everyone else here... the fridge began acting up approx. 6 mos. ago... since then have had 6 service calls to fix. Seems after replacing the ENTIRE back inside panel for $200, fridge is working, but now freezer is not. Cannot even begin to explain how FRUSTRATING AND EXACERBATING this experience has been. Made numerous calls and emails to Samsung, even got bounced up to their VIP Customer Service (for those of us who have had POOR service issues) and they do NOTHING!!! Since is out of warranty, were on our own! I own many Samsung products including washer/dryer, cell phones, TVs, and now will begin buying other brands as I get rid of every Samsung product in my home. There are OBVIOUSLY design defects/flaws in their refrigerator designs (as the serviceman told me also!) and they know it. They keep coming out with these fixes for things... of course, which are NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. So we have to continue to pay for these. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED WITH SAMSUNG IN GENERAL. HOPEFULLY THEY WILL GET WHAT IS COMING TO THEM. I DONT EVEN WISH TO GIVE THEM ONE STAR... THEYRE NOT WORTH IT!!

At first the ice maker was the only problem. That happen about 6 months after we bought it. And the noise of the ice dropping (when it did finally drop, most of the time it was just stuck and tapping loudly) it sounded like a crash in the house. Next the repairman ordered a part that would fix it. It did not. When we called him back he said Samsung does not provide a repair manual and not many people have luck getting the ice maker to function properly. Then the whole control panel went out. I can not find a repair man to even come out to work on it. The food in the refrig. is freezing and the food in the freezer has so much frost on the food we can not eat it. I have read many complaints of the same issues. IS ANYONE INTERESTED IN STARTING A CLASS ACTION SUIT?
