I went to a retailer and Viking Range is among the floor models. Since the brand has the reputation of being top of the line, I purchased a range from them. The salespersons were also great. They were able to tell me what the product is about and why it is good. The range I got is excellent and the performance is great.

In the company that I worked for, we use Viking Ranges a lot in the house remodels that we built. They are the ones that a lot of people favor. The installation process was simple. Also, I like the quality and everything. The only issue that we had was, when it arrived, the knobs were in the wrong spots. But they got fixed quickly. It happened right around Thanksgiving, too, when we installed the oven. We thought something was wrong with the oven. The homeowners spent Thanksgiving at their other house versus this one, because of the oven. They weren’t sure if the oven would work. I called Viking Marin. They specifically deal with Viking Ranges and appliances. I guess theyre a licensed Viking repair place, but they werent covered under the Viking warranty package. I had to call several other places, and that was a hassle.

Our neighbor has a Viking refrigerator and I like the appearance. It also seems like they last longer. We bought one through Best Buy and the specific sales person was really good. I like that the fridge has more shelves than usual, but when we had it installed and opened it, the drawers were cracked and I am frustrated with that. It would have also been nice for the fridge to make crushed ice, instead of the big ones.

Back in 2013, I was going to do a remodel to my house kitchens with a centerpiece. It was gonna be open to all of the appliances and we’re going to be in view in the open area. I was looking for a bit more than the GEs but there’s quite a few to choose from and Viking was close. The Viking range is excellent. It’s the leader of the pack and we’re so happy with it. The burners can be quickly assembled for cleaning purposes and I like their layout. The range is very serviceable, very durable, and the oven is fantastic. The racks in the oven are extremely easy to move and work with, very heavy and it gives me a lot of confidence working with them. The stove has a dent in the back for the heat to come out and that creates a primary heat in the backslash. I don’t think there’s another stove out there that would beat Viking but they’ve got to get rid of the heat somewhere. There was absolutely no service calls on the range. It’s been perfect and it’s amazing.

I was doing a whole kitchen and looking for higher end appliances, and Viking was doing a good promotion for the year where if I bought a refrigerator, Id also get a dishwasher and microwave. They were also doing a rebate. Plus the Viking place in Suwanee offers classes, and thats not that far for me so we can learn more about it. This is the first gas range Ive ever had. Ive always wanted one and so far, its really good and I love it. My friends have all come over and are in awe over it.

We bought a home that was completely renovated three and a half years ago and the decorator and contractor chose all Viking appliances for the home. We have a wine refrigerator, regular refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, wall oven, range with a small oven, big oven, hood and stovetop. We have had a couple of issues with the big refrigerator we have. The first time, the meat or vegetable drawer at the bottom of the refrigerator section froze and ruined the vegetables, and we had someone out a couple of times to look at it. Finally, they said there was nothing they could do to fix it, so we increased the temperature for the overall refrigerator. It’s keeping the vegetables from freezing but the refrigerator is not at the suggested temperature. Also, the hinge on the bottom right of the refrigerator has gone bad and the door squeaks when it opens and closes. But I like having separate drawers. It’s a great idea as long as it works the way it’s supposed to. Over the past week, we spoke with a gal named Veronica in customer service and she was great. We would have been normally forwarded to the warranty department but they were closed, so Veronica took the initiative to go to her supervisor and we were well-taken care of. That’s why we would buy another Viking appliance. I didn’t think the squeaking would be a big deal to fix but they have to put a whole new hinge and it costs $800. Viking is coming to fix it and they’ve been great about it ‘cause we’re just outside the warranty time. Everybody at Viking has been very good so I don’t mind if things go wrong if the company takes care of it. They haven’t come to fix the refrigerator yet, but Viking is doing a great job at taking care of the customer and that’s the most important.

A friend of mine owned a Viking range and I thought that I just had to have it. I like to cook and Viking was a higher end range. And since I was building a house, I had to get it now because I won’t be able to get it later on. I went to Cowboy’s Kitchens in Ridgeland and everybody was very accommodating. When I had a problem with one of the ignitions on one of the burners that wouldn’t light, they sent a repair personnel who replaced a part. They were efficient and Ive been happy with everybody. I love mt range too and I want to get the griddle that goes in the middle. Were barely 60 days in and Im looking forward to experimenting with my range. Im still tinkering with it and have learned that it cooks much faster than other ranges so it is more efficient and saves time.

I really like my Viking range. They’ve updated them over the years and tried to make them a little bit easier to clean since this is not self-cleaning type which is fine with me. Its very even cooking and heats up quickly. I like that its sturdy. The grates are really heavy and I know that theyre solid and not going to bend on me. The salesperson did a great job and was very helpful. I had a huge double oven that had a grill on it. It worked really well, and I really liked it. I only had it serviced once. It was having a little trouble igniting. The sparks would fly but it wouldnt ignite. Some guy came out and fixed it and it was fine ever since. So in our second home, I got another Viking. Its the oven and a half on the bottom. Its not quite as big as the other one but both places have been great. It has little lights on top of each control knob, which my older one didnt have. So at night when the whole kitchen is dark, it’s almost like a little night light which is cool. I also like that its not electronic. I get to turn the knob and tell it what to do. It doesnt ask me questions. I have the Viking range hood as well. Some people do Wolf, some people do Dacor but I like Viking. They have a good reputation and its restaurant quality for the home. Im really happy with them.

I bought a Viking dishwasher in 11/2009. A year and a half into owning this, the racks rusted and dishwasher needed some major service. Four years into ownership, racks rusted again and the control panel had to be replaced because the dishwasher would not run past 5-10 minutes and would blink fill error according to service person. This happened on Christmas morning with a house full of company. Then in 3/2013, the drain pump failed. Part was ordered. The service person had to pull dishwasher out of its space and then realized it would take at least 3 hours to repair, costing upwards of $300. We had already spent that much in previous repairs. So a $2,000 dishwasher less than 5 years old is going to the junk pile! Also, I contacted Viking customer service with no response from them to provide an explanation or help! Unacceptable from a supposedly big name quality product supplier! Quality rating is zero!

My builder put in the Viking products and Ive had a lot of problems with them. One of the ovens is totally incomplete. I spoke with the local Viking authorized dealer and they were willing to give me a 25% discount on the part. I told them that they should give me a 25% discount on the all-new Viking Range because its a disaster and I dont wanna have to pay twice for it now. But they wont cooperate. Also, my Viking refrigerator is leaking again. My experience with Viking has been bad because it cost a fortune to fix anything. Its $750 just to move the appliance away from the wall. Ive also had multiple leaks, and its difficult to get people that work on Viking work efficiently and effectively with Viking.

I found Viking Refrigerators at the expo 10 years ago and I bought a refrigerator-freezer. I thought I was buying a decent product, so I was happy but it has been problematic. The door springs have been replaced twice and I just had the evaporators replaced to keep it from draining water all over the floor. There is a probe that hits the drain and the freezer. I’ve had people come out two times to clear the sink or leaking all over the floor. I bought a warranty on it and they took care of it at that time but it was an expensive thing to have. There have been multiple issues over the years and the interior of the refirgeartor-freezer was cheaply-made. The pieces of metal that they stripped across the top of the glass, on the shelves, fall off regularly and do not hold on. There are things that dont fit, the finish is not good and the drawers dont close evenly. You got a crisper drawer down at the bottom, but it hangs halfway out. The plastic was cracked in a couple of places and they said that those were cosmetics, so those werent under warranty. They look great but I may have done better buying a GE rather than going and spending the money we spent on these. Their work at some of their parts were still under warranty that they just fixed but I spent $2,600 on repairs three weeks ago. Viking Refrigerators refer you out because they don’t have their own service team and I worked with a company called Lakeview. The tech that worked on the refrigerator-freezer used to be a long-term employee with Viking prior. After he put it back together and I opened the freezer baskets at the bottom, the piece of trim flies. We put the trim piece on the wrong side and they need to be rotated. I dont know what they cost now but they were $6,000 aside. For the amount of money you spent for refrigeration, you would expect it to be a lot higher in quality. I had Sub-Zero before and I replaced it but I may have been better off going back with another set of Sub-Zeros, knowing what I know now. Unfortunately, I am done. Im just getting ready to buy another microwave. I was trying to get a Viking guy to call me back from one of the showrooms and Ive left messages for them a couple of times but they dont return calls, so its frustrating. Since I got a Viking microwave and the whole interior of it has corroded the part, its basically a throw away. It cost $700 to get another microwave in there. Sharp makes them all and Viking is their later one. So, I bought a $200 unit that gets the logo stamped on it. I also had a Viking dishwasher that I put in 2008 and I had to replace it two years ago. It just came apart. They didnt have parts for it because the maker of the dishwasher went out of business so, I went and bought another new Viking to put in there. I also bought vents and re-did the whole kitchen with Viking.

The oven will intermittently not cycle and reignite to maintain temperature. The range is now nearly the end of the warranty and replacement parts, motherboard, and gas valve have been on backorder for months. After numerous calls to the authorized service center over the past two and a half years, the problem is getting worse. Just last Saturday, a family dinner was ruined because the range shut off and refused to reignite. The next day, no problem, the oven fired right up. Overall we are very disappointed in the lack of quality, value, reliability, and factory support. We would not recommend purchasing Viking products, and will not in the future.

From the day my refrigerator was installed, it didnt work. The temperature was always above 45 degrees. A repairman was sent to my house 12 times between April 2008 and May 2009. Then miraculously, a different guy came and it seemed worked for 14 months. To this day, I do not know how one guy fixed it in 10 minutes when another guy came 11 times, spent hours and still couldnt fix it. When I voiced this concern, the company accused me of saying the guy did something unethical. So I let it go. A huge mistake. Now, the same old problem is back. I had to agree to pay for the service call and parts which I did. The tech guy recommended certain parts. The repair guy never used those parts instead, he installed a part for $165.00 which was already replaced twice. It cost me $404.00 and the refrigerator is once again not working. Temperature is above 45 degrees. So now what? Junk a $6000.00 refrigerator? I continue to pay for service calls that should have been taken care of when the refrigerator was installed. This is a black hole. No way out. Viking service is terrible. They do not back their products. Do not buy Viking.

We remodeled our kitchen eight years ago. We were so excited that our new kitchen was going to be an all Viking Professional kitchen, seven appliances. Unfortunately, our excitement was short lived. We began having issues, first, with our range. After several years of dealing with the oven we finally got those issues resolved. The refrigerator is just not well made. The crisping drawer has lost its plastic windows. The plastic butter keepers on the door have broken also. But we have had to have the ice maker repaired continually. Currently, the water dispenser and ice bucket have broken again. We had our repairman find out how much it will cost to replace them. Its going to cost $1,600 to replace the parts. So we have decided not to put any more money into repairing this refrigerator since we could have bought a brand new one with the money we have already spent on repairs on this one. We also have a Viking Professional three zone wine refrigerator. The fans for the different zones continue to break. We are currently waiting on two fans because two zones fans are broken. In fact, this time one fan broke and we ordered the fan. When it arrived it had broken in the mail. In the meantime another fan has broken. So we are currently waiting on two new whole fan units. Our Viking Professional dishwashers bottom rack only has one wheel because the others have broken. On the top rack there are folding panels on the sides that have broken so many times that we have just zip tied them on. And the door on the soap dispenser has broken off. I realize our appliances are eight years old but we have had problems with them from the very beginning. I also realize Viking is under new ownership. But, unfortunately, Ive lost my faith in the brand.

Weve had our range since November and the quality is very good. I like the way the burners work. However, it is difficult to adjust and calibrate the oven. It seems like the temperature is off on the oven and there’s no information in the instruction book on how to do that. Also, I didnt know that they were gonna change the range. How can it be? We thought made in America, we would get great quality. What a disappointment. The kitchen was remodeled 5 years ago. This past month, we had problems with both Viking products, the Viking range VGIC3676BS and the refrigerator. We are now out of Viking warranty. The NSI insurance for these products is a nightmare to deal with - a waste of money. They give you the runaround. The Viking range oven just stopped working, we think it is the igniter. It does not matter that when you call Mississippi, they speak to you with their Southern charm, you still have an expensive appliance that simply does not work! No one cares, not at all, because it is not happening to them! The fact that we bought expensive products does not matter in todays world. Anyone recalls the days when we had an oven that lasted 30 years? We are so disgusted with Viking. We regret spending the money for something that obviously was made with planned obsolescence in mind. Wish there was a way we could warn people about this company. I would like to put signs on retailer stores, buyer beware.

When I was reading the reviews, there was an oven from Viking that was great for baking and cooking. And since I’m a big baker, I decided to get one. I bought it from Best Buy and initially, I bought it with the floor model which came completely destroyed. I was so upset. This oven costs $6,000 and granted, I got the floor model so I got a discount but it doesn’t matter if it’s the original price. It was a little chaotic but they were very nice enough to swap it out for a brand new one. The manager was very forthcoming to exchange my oven and everything was fine. The quality is great. I’ve only had it for two months now and it seems durable. The only thing I get a little upset about is that I can’t have my oven and burner on at the same time. When the oven’s on, the fan starts and it starts cooling until it keeps the temperature. Then, the air from inside comes out from the back of the oven and blows towards the burner. So when I have the flame on, the flame is not steady and it’s like putting a flame in the wind. It’s like boiling all over the place. I also called the company when my broiler wasn’t turning on, and they sent someone. I asked if they sell anything that maybe blocks the wind and instead of coming straight towards the burners, they’d be going upward. But their rep said there isn’t anything. I thought it was simple and I don’t think I’m the first person that had that problem.

The people who repaired at our beach house in Florida did a great job and they were very nice. They got our Viking fixed. But when I spend that kind of money on appliances, I shouldnt have to have them fixed, especially two of them the day they were installed. The way the world is today, it took eight weeks to get somebody to fix them. It was not a good situation. We will not be buying any more Viking appliances, though we bought a lot in the past and they look great. We’ve been very, very disappointed with the quality of them. It has gone downhill. Weve had problems with a lot of the appliances we bought lately, starting with ones we bought for our ranch. I bought five new appliances in the last four months, and after they were installed, the oven and the dishwasher didnt work.

We remodeled our kitchen and we liked the quality that Viking Ranges seemed to have. Moreover, it seemed like a very good product. The salespeople in the store really helped us as well. We were in between Wolf and Viking, so they explained to us a few of the things that were going on with Viking at the time. They told us that in the past, Viking did not have such good reviews as far as their home appliances and that theyve come through the last couple of years and changed some things in the way they deal with things. Plus, they had a nice rebate going on at the time. Ive gotten to use the range quite a bit and Im very happy with it. Its heavy and sturdy, which are the greatest things about it. However, you have to make sure that you get a good exhaust fan. With the kind that we purchased, you have to get a separate fan. Also, we purchased the range in October and we had it installed in January, but we still have not received our rebate.

I love the range. I also love everything about the refrigerator except the fact that it doesnt dispense water. The appliance company did the installation has been great with us. When moved into a brand-new house, our Viking refrigerator came with it together with a stove and dishwasher. I like the refrigerators big drawer thats underneath the space for vegetables and fruits. So far, we already had some huge part replaced on it which cost about $2,000. We called Viking about it and they gave us the repairman that they recommended. The repairman came out and the refrigerator got fixed a month ago. But I can hear the sound starting to build up again so Im a little concerned about that. Other than that, Ive had an awful experience with the dishwasher. It broke and it took almost three months to be replaced because they couldn’t fix it. So I went all the way through Thanksgiving and Christmas without a dishwasher. They finally replaced it by the end of November because they could never get the part in. As for the oven, as expensive as it is, we already had to have a $3,000 replacement part for it. That was done about two weeks ago but when I turned it on yesterday to cook dinner, the part’s already broken. So, I need to have a repairman come again and replace it or fix it again because it will turn on to 350 but it won’t change temperature. When the appliances are working, it’s great but when it doesn’t work, it is horrible. Viking doesn’t come to replace things and the quality of their products doesn’t hold up to what the expense is going to cost.

Replacement costs approx. $450-$500 each time. We have been very disappointed with the product and also disappointed with the customer care of the company. The right side oven door hinge came off when opening the door and nearly slammed on my foot. I was barely able to lift the door to get it in place. Viking is one of the two companies that had the refrigerator in the size and color that I needed. Their dealer told me about the Viking buy one, get one free deal when I first went in to look at the refrigerator there, but I didn’t buy the refrigerator right then because I was shopping around. But I called back and ordered the refrigerator and they didn’t ask me which other appliance I would like and I assumed that it was like a rebate type of thing where I could choose later so I didn’t ask. Then I found out after I had gotten the refrigerator delivered that they and I had both dropped the ball on that. Other than that, my ref comes in a black enamel color which is very unusual for appliances these days so I didn’t need to replace all my appliances when I replaced my refrigerator and it was the number one thing that I wanted.

My mom has a Viking range and I really like it. It’s bigger than 36-inch and she uses it when everyone comes over for Christmas and Easter. It just works so well. It would boil a pot of water within minutes which was way different than when I boil a pot of water on just a conventional oven. I felt like I was waiting for 20 minutes. So, I got one too and we really liked it. However, I got a replacement because for three years that weve had it, the door would fall off every three months and Viking couldn’t fix it. A whole slew of things happened throughout the first six months that led to more things, and it just broke. I asked Viking to replace it because it was not repairable and they’ve already repaired it 12 times. So finally, I got a new version of what I had bought and it’s working. I didn’t get to use the oven as much as I wanted to, but when I did, the convection was also one of the features that I wanted Viking for, and the self-clean which I really love. The cooktop is strong and it has a different side burners. The one at the back for simmer and then I have the oval one for a grill effect. The design is really nice. It’s low in the back which is basic to turn it on and clean it, and that’s all I have. The dealer was so sweet and she worked so hard with me. I had a lot of anxiety with my range and the appliance guy said, “You’re really lucky that you’ve got this replaced. No one gets a replacement.” It’s a $5,000 purchase and every time their techs would come out, it would be $200 just to assess it and it’s a high price to pay. So, to those who wanted to buy a Viking, they have to have some money to back it up if something goes wrong. They can’t just have it under warranty at Sears because Sears doesn’t cover a high-end appliance like Viking.

We were trying to do a fixer-upper and we needed to renovate. Then, our realtor recommended Viking to us and we consulted with them. We went to a showroom in Reno, New Jersey and we also saw some from P.C. Richards. We did some research online to know what models we like then, we went to the showroom and ordered Viking. Their reps were all good as they know their products. We talked about what we wanted and they gave us a number of options and recommended all the different products. They gave us the pros and cons of each and the price point too. It was informative. However, we had a couple of issues. We ordered a professional range with a Viking label on it. So, we called the person and complained about it. Then, they sent out someone to fix it and it was fixed yesterday. Also, the LED light was not working on one of the double French ovens for some reason but the oven was working. The guy who did he fix said he would submit another ticket for us to order the part then they will come to fix it. Other than that, the quality of my Viking is good. The logistics company delivered my Viking refrigerator to my house and dropped it off in my living room. They pushed it into the wall because its one of those built-in wall units. They didnt connect it or they connected it but it wasnt right. There was this bottom metal piece that was supposed to be installed. I asked the guys if they were supposed to do that. They said they were not allowed to install those for liability purposes. I would have to get somebody to do it. It cost me almost $500 to have a Viking specialist come out and install it.When the specialists came out, they said, “Your refrigerator’s not even drilled to the wall. Because if its not, what can happen is if you open the door, the whole thing could tip over and could crush you.” The guy said they were gonna secure it, which they did. That was a pain, to begin with. The refrigerator side works fine. But we noticed that the icemaker was really slow from day one. We went back and forth with the Viking warranty people and Build.com where I purchased the refrigerator from. They sent somebody out to fix it four times. After the last time, it still wasnt working right. It never would produce over 20 ice cubes. Every time they would come out, they would tell me to give it 24 to 48 hours and I would have a big bin full of ice cubes. That never happened. We had family over and birthday parties. I had to go to 7-Eleven and grab a bag of ice and stick it in my freezer. After paying $15,000, that doesnt make me happy.Build.com replaced the ice maker and its still not working right. They apologized and they went ahead and ordered me a new refrigerator. But that refrigerator is not going to arrive until April 2022 so Im stuck with this thing. It’s beautiful but it doesn’t make ice and the motor is really loud. I could have bought a car for that price I paid for the refrigerator so I want it to work 100%. Viking has been around for many years and they have beautiful products. After I placed the order with them versus Wolf, I happened to go online and I did some research and there are actually lots of really bad reviews. Viking is the least recommended. Being that this was something that was recognized as Viking and something that warranted a replacement, he reached out to a Canadian representative who emailed us and spoke to my wife. I am writing to publicly declare I could not be more disappointed in the 4 Viking appliances my family has purchased. I have the 48” duel fuel range in my home. Both ovens are now not working after using the self clean features on both ovens. I am very upset. The fault is with the Viking appliance company. The cost of the repair should not be my burden. I would never recommend this brand to any of my friends. The one positive thing I have to say is that the range is beautiful. My brother’s family have 2 exterior refrigerators and an exterior ice maker both from Viking. Each appliance has required multiple repairs yearly. It is infuriating to spend so much money for a professional brand we trusted, that fails repeatedly. It’s a bitter disappointment to walk outside and not be able to have a cold drink with a glass of ice waiting for you, after investing so much money. Furthermore, the repairs were expensive and repeatedly done by certified Viking repairmen, using Viking parts. The fact that Viking cannot effectively repair their faulty product is pathetic. The Viking company should replace all these appliances free of charge if they are to have any integrity at all.

I went to the carrier and picked up the oven (we live in a rural area). Upon inspection of the box for visible damages I found none. I did not open the box. The box was unloaded at my house by me, and we took the oven inside... we noticed the door was open on the oven but when we got into the house we found that the brackets that held the outer door to the inner door were broken and the outer door was hanging by some screws. I notified US Appliance with pictures. They came back and told me that I had damaged the oven and it was my problem. I contacted Viking and my customer rep told me there was not much she could do. I was told because I picked up the stove at the shippers; it was my responsibility. There was no other damage to the stove. One small dent on the bottom of the front kick plate that was not visible. My wife and I decided to go forth and repair the oven ourselves. I had a local welding shop, reweld the brackets on the front door panel, we purchased a new piece of glass and reinstalled the door ourselves. FYI the spot welds that held the brackets on were at best way too small and the welds did not penetrate into the parent metal.I also noticed the oven would not light, so I took the cover plate off and inspected the spark for the oven part found the cover plate was installed incorrectly and the spark was grounding on the frame. I took the cover plate to my shop and increased the size of the hole by 1/2 and repaired the spark boot and it is working better. However I did notice the oven will not light from the convection bake position. I have to start the oven in bake and after it gets hot move it to convection (I think the fan caused a draft).Im disappointed in US alliance and will not do business with them in the future. We love our rebuilt stove. Serial number 111715C10200028. Im giving it two stars because I think the stove may have been damaged at the factory, and the stove could have been packaged better. It was placed on a pallet with flimsy straps. It is possible that the unit was damaged by a shipper but there are no marks on the box indicating a fork from a forklift got into the wrong place.

I like that theyre made in the USA. Given this day and time of supply chain slowdowns, the range got here quicker than we had expected, which was marvelous. We got a hood to go along with it. Everything came in pretty much right on time. The range performs exactly as we had hoped. Its a high quality range. Everything comes out tasting great. Viking is the best.

I had an excellent experience with the Viking dealer. Their professionalism and knowledge of the product were good. The Viking refrigerator is good overall, but we had issues when we got it. It was leaking so it damaged our floor. I still have to file an insurance claim for that. I think there was a damaged part, and when I had a claim, the company wasn’t expedient in their response.

We were doing a remodel and we wanted something a little higher end. We bought our Viking refrigerator at Best Buy as we had a significant number of credit card reward points and we went with the Best Buy cards. We bought it before our remodel and we didn’t take it out of the storage until around early spring in 2018. We had significant problems with it over the summer and we had the technician out at least seven times. It was still under warranty at the time and what was happening was the refrigerator side of it would never be at the set point. Oftentimes, it was at 45. The tech was out to try different things and replace the electrical panels. By the last time, they ended up replacing the entire electrical panel and it has been okay since then. It still is not perfect though, and it seems to be hit or miss. If the set point is supposed to be at 38, it struggles to get a 38 on the refrigerator side. I like the refrigerator, nevertheless. It is prominent and it sits really well in our kitchen. At the same time, we were forced with the contractor company because they are the ones who handle the warranty. As long as it is under warranty, we have to go with them. We would wait for a significant period of time for the parts to come in and it got to be a really long, laborious process. The guy with the refrigeration company would complain that there were changes going on at Viking, where the warehouses were, and it was hard to get parts. It was frustrating when we had already invested on a Viking refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and range. I couldn’t just call Viking and say, “Look, replace this thing,” because we had to go with a particular company to do the repair. This issue started in May or early June and we were still dealing with it by the end of July. On one hand, there are things about the Viking refrigerator that I really like. I like the way it looks in my kitchen, and the freezer is working fine. On the other hand, the refrigerator and the whole repair and problem-solving process seem really cumbersome. Why did it take three months to resolve? I am dissatisfied with that.

We purchased a complete Viking kitchen which included a range top, downdraft hood, a dishwasher, a Dutch oven, the refrigerator and the convection microwave. We’re satisfied with everything except for the refrigerator because every time you open the freezer, the ice overflows to the floor and I think it’s a design flaw. It doesn’t happen every single time, but the ice builds up and theres no back on the refrigerator, so it goes straight down and falls on the floor. So, somebody has to get to the floor and pick up the ice cubes. But I like the digital controls of the fridge and everything else is fine. Im very surprised about this one item and I know that LG makes their refrigerators so that may be the issue here, but I have heard only good things. I did a research because I know that previously, there were problems with the Viking refrigerators, and I was assured that that had been taken care of. It may be a minor adjustment but weve only had it set in place for three weeks, so weve been dealing with it. If it continues, then Im gonna rattle some cages.

I bought a house that has a Viking Range. So far, the quality is good. I like the stovetop with the gas and heavy-duty grates. It’s easy to maintain and clean. However, I recently called them about some parts. There were some little rubber grommets on the bottom of the stove grate that shrink with heat and fall out. And I still haven’t received my replacement parts they offered. But other than that, the oven itself is very efficient and cooks way quicker than I expected. Plus, my interaction with the reps was good and they were helpful and friendly.

We are building a brand new house, so we went to the appliance store and they showed us all kinds of different options. I knew I wanted the 36-inch or I want it bigger and I want the more commercial-like because I like to cook and I like to bake. The Viking range is what the sales guy had and he showed us. We were interested in the dual because I know an oven is nicer to have electric for baking and stuff like that and the gas for the top. Its very nice. But weve had problems right from the get-go. We love the top, but the oven part is where we having all the issues. The installer noticed an issue with the fan being super loud whenever we run it on convection. He started the claim for us. The installer worked with the store that we bought the range from and was gonna have them come out and take a look at it. Weve had the guy out here twice and we still dont have it fixed. The guy said he was gonna order some parts and he would be back out. He came back out and he said it was not the right thing. He went back and we havent heard from him since.Weve had it since October so the known problems have been since then and we cant get anybody to fix it. We cant even get them now to return our calls. My husband tried to reach out to him a couple of times and havent gotten a callback. The range seems to run really hot. I keep burning stuff in it and Im kinda irritated. But the top is fine and we love the griddle. Other than the oven issue, everything works really great.

A model that is cabinet facing, only ice making, no water, unfiltered water in the fridge is hard to find. Only two companies had the configurations I wanted for my refrigerator and Viking was one of them. The refrigerator is fine and I like it. I love the amount of room I have without the water component which was very difficult to find in other refrigerators. But Im having problems with the trim kit. Either its not installed right or its just not a good product. Its been months and I havent gotten the new trim kit to see if the issue was in the installation. We chose Viking over GE because of the trim kit, but thats where were having trouble with and the design may not be so great. Customer service had short answers like they just want to get me off the phone and I felt it was rushed. The rep called me to let me know the scheduled appointment date, but its still not fixed. Id rather just have it direct and get it fixed.

The next thing is that he leave the oven working with no interior light and the door with a lot of scratches. Then the oven worked for 20 min and it blows again and in the blow it make a short circuit in the microwave oven so now I have a completely destroyed oven and no microwave. I call the service and they say that they dont know me and the technician is dead. Honestly I will never buy a Viking in my whole life - is a cheap product.

All I can say is that I wish I had read these other reviews before buying our very disappointing Viking D3 Electric Range!!! It hasnt cooked right since the day we got it. Being on a special medical diet, I need to have all 3 of my meals cooked along with what I need to cook for my family. So, needless to say, my range gets a good work out. Thought I was buying a high end brand to fit my needs. Unfortunately, the oven does not cook to the proper temperature & takes forever to cook anything. 1 1/2 hours to cook thin chicken cutlets, almost 2 hours to bake a blueberry loaf that ended up being still uncooked in the middle & all the blueberries sunk to the bottom. The best was some birthday cupcakes I baked on the convect cycle which got over cooked on the outside & not done on the inside & actually exploded part of the tops off. Im going to try & include a photo if I can. All I can tell people who are looking to buy a range, DONT BUY VIKING!!!!! I wish I never bought one.

I got a Viking fridge knowing that it was one of the more expensive, better products for kitchen appliances. The purchasing process has been fine but the appliances have not been that great. Within one month of moving in, the defrost sensor crapped out and we lost all the food in our fridge. There was still a warranty for it but we had to lose money. The problem was we purchased a home from a builder and it came with Viking appliances. So that stuff was out of warranty and the builder didnt cover anything. Based on what Ive read, I would go with a Wolf instead of Viking.

Built a home and got all Viking appliances. The dishwasher was included in a special package. I like my french oven and my microwave and 6 burner range top. Theyre fine. The dishwasher I would never purchase again. It is very noisy when its washing. But what really bugs me is the control panel. You cant save any thing like your favor wash cycles. Every time you use it you have to turn it on and press the P button till you get the wash cycle you want then press an F cycle for drying which is like a double switch so Im never sure if I got the right one or not. I should have checked it out better then I never would have bought it.

My freezer has not worked since Ive moved in so thats a little bit disappointing. Viking has been wonderful in answering my calls. But unfortunately, the people that service around here are just a little bit slow and they operate on their own time. The temperature of my freezer gets really hot so I have to keep hitting max freeze all day. If I dont, the alarm starts going off, so its really irritating. Its like a child I have to watch so I dont let my food get bad. The technician that came out said he fixed it. Yet, it was still getting too hot. I called back and they said they have to order a part and it was taking a very long time. Finally, it came in, so I have an appointment scheduled for March 1st. I like the appliance in general. But Ill be happier once it works properly. I hope that they can get it to work properly.

In our old place, we had Wolf and we really liked it. When we moved, the new house had a Viking stove. We looked into changing the stove to a Wolf, but my husband did some research and realized that Viking is a really good, reputable brand. When we looked at the appliance store, we saw the fridge. Then we also got the dishwasher and the steam oven just because everything needed to match for my husband. We’ve had them for a couple of months and so far they’ve been good. For my kitchen renovation, my design company that they use, Fergusons and the chain of them here in the southeast, the only ones they had everything in stock was Viking. And when I purchased the stove, I got a free dishwasher. Headquarters had to call a lot and I had to have people here all the time. They were really concerned. When you open the fridge, the drawer to pull out, which is cold and you can keep cheese and meats in it, I cut my fingers and they were concerned and had headquarters call. And then, the repair people -- everything was free -- coming out all the time from Fort Myers. The guy called it metal burrs that havent been sanded down. That was quite a worry. They called me from Mississippi. Its very rare and it just wasnt finished. And depending where you place your fingers, you could cut them on metal to open that inside drawer. So, that was a bad experience. Also, the freezer didnt shut properly and the tech had come out several times. It was the most finite adjustment on something. But I could have lost a couple of hundred bucks worth of food because the alarm kept going off. And he came and fixed it, and an hour and a half later, the alarm went off again. He thought he fixed it. So, it was really challenging for the Morale in Fort Myers to contract repair people with Viking here in this area. That was maddening. And then, the dishwasher, an extra button for quietness fell right off on the floor, and it was a glue problem. The Morale had to come again. Its free for me under warranty. It just was disconcerting and all the appliances were brand-new. I heard him talk to headquarters and he said, Yes its a glue issue. And he said, No, I cant reuse it. Its covered in labrador fur and cat hair, which as soon as it started to hang out and the labrador would walk against it and it hung down from the bottom. It didnt seem to make much difference in the quietness. Its an incredibly quiet dishwasher anyway. But they had to order a new one, so that took a while, and they had to come back and put that in. That was a surprise, all that happened right away. But everything got fixed and Ive been very pleased since. Its a super quiet dishwasher and I like the red light that shines on the floor that shows when its on.And then, all the new fridges, all brands, the alarm for the freezer and different ways to adjust the temperature of that meat drawer and the freezer. And then, I like the microwave. Its so nice and simple. There were higher-end ones with the convection fan in the microwave, and I got simplest because I picked over the stove with the vent pan under the microwave. The way my kitchen was designed, it seemed the best route rather than a hood. The stove is unbelievable. This induction stove is the best thing in the planet. I heard good things about them and everybody I know whos renovating was getting new appliances, and new stoves are getting induction, and were just in shock about it was the fastest weve ever seen to boil water or cook. So safe, the way the magnetic field isnt hot. The oven is incredibly fast too. Its interesting. You dont have to preheat at all. The fix-it guy is a surprise too. He was fabulous, a longtime veteran and knows all his Vikings, and he was stunned. He was so puzzled about the freezer not closing. He thought of it truly as a challenge, a puzzle he had to solve. Because when he thought he fixed it, just 90 minutes later, it broke again. So truly, puzzled, and worked on the phone a long time with Viking in Mississippi and tried to solve it. It was the most infinitesimal thing, some tiny adjustment of a gear in the bottom drawer of the freeze. One tiny little gear off compared to the other side and it meant it couldnt close completely, and then it couldnt stay cold. That was his first time ever had to have that. Also, the button that fell off, he was also puzzled. We couldnt figure out where it fell off from. Just one day, I was just looking, and Id hardly had the dishwasher, and there it was hanging down the bottom, then it came completely off, and I called him up. When he came, You sure that came from this? He figured out where it was, couldnt save the old one or the new one, and it took a while to come. But ever since, things have been okay.

My wife researched Viking Ranges online since we’ve seen them before at different houses. She was happy with the price and the package that she got. We got a white range with a big scratch on it and it took six months to get a new kit panel. My experiences with Viking are not very good. But the range is great except for the scratch. The people who sold us the appliances dealt with the Viking dealership and they’re absolutely terrible. I would get a call on a Monday and she would tell me I’m going to hear from Viking and they would tell me what theyre going to do. But we never got a call. And at the end of the week, I’d call them and tell them we didn’t get a call this week. And they would say we didnt get a callback because she was busy or it was the Fourth of July or the Memorial Day or a Flag Day. We weren’t happy when we received it. It also took a long time to get anything. They need to send somebody else who knows what they’re doing besides analyzing what the repairman did! I’m not impressed at all. It’s been an unbelievably poor experience.

Viking is a good higher end brand. Its not as expensive as some of the ultra-high-end brands. When we decided to do the renovation this year, we put in all of Viking appliances. Im really happy with them. As I was cleaning the stove the other night, I really like it. Its easy to clean. It looks more of a restaurant style kitchen. It looks impressive. It feels good. Its good stuff. It boils faster than the range that we used to have, which is great. I love it. We had a slight scratch on the door and no questions asked, they came out and replaced it. Everything worked with the rebate. I didnt have to fight for it. It was a great experience.

When I walked into the showroom, the people were nice and I liked them. I went with Viking ranges because of the quality of the product and we like it a lot. We have the whole set -- the range, the refrigerator, the under cabinet microwave, dishwasher. All of it is easy to clean and they work well. The Viking dealer, Judys Appliance, was also good. The only comment I have is I have a couple issues with my refrigerator. They came out and fixed it. But with the range itself, the one time I needed a service, it was supposed to have a five-year warranty on the burners, the one part was not covered under the warranty. So, why advertise a five-year warranty on the burners if they are not going to cover the burner part? Nevertheless, I recommend it to anybody.

I’ve seen Vikings advertisements in home building magazines and I went with them because of the expected quality. The stove and the microwave-convection oven were delivered dead on arrival, and it’s now six weeks so Viking’s trying to figure out if they’re gonna replace them or not. They’ve had three technicians out and I have not heard back in two weeks despite repeated follow-up attempts. The interactions are fine, but all the parts unfortunately are on backorder and are parts that they don’t stock. And there’s no definitive timeline for when the parts will be in stock. Every time I call the call center, they say I’m supposed to expect a call from a director or BT level that can make that decision. And they keep passing along the message, but I do not get a call back. I spent a ton of money on these appliances and it’s very unfortunate that the service and quality aren’t there based on my experience so far.

We bought our Viking range when we built our house and wanted good range. So we purchased a 36 with a griddle and 4 burners. The problems started 3 months into the lift of the range with the oven igniters failing. The serviceman said these do wear out and this is common - not something you really want to hear this early in use. This happened a couple of more times under the warranty period and as soon as the warranty period ended, I have my first $300 service call to replace them. After 2 of those calls ($600), I started replacing myself with Viking parts, and soon switched to non OEM parts from Ebay that actually lasted longer. Spent some time on the Viking service/support line on the root cause and was told that I probably had dirty power, so I had a electrician check it out and reported all was fine. I have not mentioned that the burners also burned through and needed to be replaced twice in the course of this as well as well as the burner igniter that never stops sparking after the burner is lit. The hinges on the oven door have now broken and rather than spend a couple of hundred dollars on this, we have decided to finally invest in a new range. It is most disappointing when you spend nearly $6000 on a range, but when you have to put in $500/ year to keep in working properly, it is just ridiculous. So today, we have decided not to invest one more penny in the stove and go shopping for a new range. Sad to say, but the experience of the top notch Viking was a very bad experience. I long for the old gas range from our last house. The best part is that this is my first online review. As I was looking for new ranges, I just happened across this discussion and if I can prevent one other person from wasting their time/money on a Viking range, I have done a service. I wish someone had saved us.
