Viking Ranges would have made a good return on my investment when I sell my house but so far, the quality is not good. I have about 5 issues that are in the process of being rectified, like not all burner lights work and when the oven and some of the burners are on, all the burners would light continuously and wont stop. I have called and spoken with them numerous times and I have sent emails too, and they were knowledgeable enough to help me with what I needed. Im waiting for the parts but a week has passed and they told me that the parts department is not shipping anything until the middle of the month. The quality control and the packaging could have been better before the units leave the factory line. Also, it seemed that a lot of the damages were the result of transporting the product.

The purchase part was easy. But we went through three different units before we got the right one. The first one was defective. Theres a piece called a bullnose, thats where the knobs are on the front, and it wasnt seated properly on the range, and the door was crooked. The whole thing was shifted to one side. It was minor, but at that price point, it needs to be nearly perfect. And that took nine months to get. The second one came two and a half months later and it was also defective. It had some quality problems on it. It showed up, we pulled it out of the box, and the installer took it back. The third one came two months after that and thats the one we have and its fine. Its an electric oven. The temperature is off by 25 degrees. So, we bought our own thermometer that we keep installed inside of it so that we get a bit more accurate readout. Other than that, everything else has been great. It looks good. It works well.

When selecting our refrigerator, we went on Vikings reputation. Also, my husbands in interior design and that was also part of the reason why we chose Viking as opposed to a GE product, which we have at another house. However, we are a little disappointed with Viking. We’ve had the refrigerator for less than a year and all this stuff started happening right around a month’s time. We were having problems with the ice maker and when I called Viking repair service, they put in a service call. Somebody came out but didn’t really do anything other than change the ice maker. He said that it should be working within 24 hours but it still is not. They came for a second service call after that. The contractors follow-up was not up to what I think Viking would expect from their name though. Ive had to follow up twice with the service repair people to find out what was going on with my refrigerator. They have been telling me that they needed to order another ice maker and a different part but based on the recent weather in the Southeast, it was being delayed. There are also other things that I have to have the repair person look at. We have a bottom refrigerator and the door clicks every time we hold the door open. Other than that, I had received a part that is supposed to be on one of the doors so that you can have butter or whatever else you want to use in a climate-controlled environment. But it doesn’t fit in there and nobody that I’ve called at Viking has been able to give me an answer on how to have it fit. But other than that, we like the refrigerator, me probably more so than my husband.

We purchased a Viking D3-RDDFF23655, 12/10/12, all was fine until Nov. of 2015, when there was water leaking onto the bottom of the freezer, a water device was changed and cost us $333.36 (just out of the 3 year warranty). July of 2017, 5 years after purchase. Ice maker was not working, filtered water was not working correctly. Another repair bill of $840.26 to fix problem. We paid $2,800.00 and in just 5 years have had to pay another $1,173.62. Averaging over $270 a year. Based on reviews before we purchased this refrigerator, we had never expected such needed replacements and problems.

Wanted a high quality stove top to replace an older GE. Decided on this 5 burner Viking (rvgc3365bss). Performs well but for the cost the SS quality could be better. Biggest problem is keeping it clean. You must clean the stainless every time it is used! If you dont you have a huge problem cleaning it the next day. The quality of the stainless steel finish is very disappointing for this price range.

This refrigerator was serviced within a year after purchasing it. The doors started becoming uneven. Two repair men had to remove the door and replace the pin. They do not have factory pins so the door is still slightly uneven and makes a weird sound when its opened. Fast forward to today and the freezer is warm, my food is thawed. I have had nothing but issues with my dishwasher that doesnt dry my dishes, 6 burner range, microwave needed a part. The self cleaning oven doesnt do a good job and the grease is still on the door window. I never imagined that spending top dollar for appliances would be such a headache and so costly. Please, if youre in the market for new appliances, DO NOT buy Viking!

I was all the way around looking at different places and I ended up buying the Viking fridge through the kitchen design place that I used. One thing that was attractive was the breakdown in price when I bought four appliances. I like the quality of the Viking fridge. It does the job well and I like the design. However, when the ice maker is in ice making mode, the arm is down and the drawer is full, then I open the drawer, a whole bunch of ice gets pushed out to the back and on to the floor. When I slide out the drawer, the arm takes some ice cube with it. Theres gotta be something that wasnt done quite the way it should be because I always have to put the ice maker arm up when I can see its getting full. Its not really engineered very well there and I wish that was a little different. But I like the way it looks and the way it feels sturdy when I use it.

We completely renovated our kitchen with new cabinets, marble counters, and all Viking Pro stainless steel built in appliances with the sole exception being the Bosch dishwasher. In the 10 years since we purchased the appliances, we have had repeated problems, year after year, with the double ovens (VED0127SS), microwave (VMOR205SS), nat. gas cooktop (VGSU1626BSS), cooktop downdraft (VIPR161SS), and refrigerator (VCSB423DSS). We paid $19,115 for what we thought were the top of the line appliances. Their service providers do not help much, and their customer service is terrible and useless. In hindsight, we should have kept our GE Profile appliances that came with the original home purchase and had no problems. Viking claims to have very satisfied customers but I have not encountered one. I will go out of my way to not recommend Viking appliances to all including my enemies.

We purchased our apartment last year and everything was installed already. It’s all Viking. We’re quite happy with the equipment. Everything is working smoothly and the range is great although we have an issue with the noise. It took me really long to have the technician come over, which was probably a few months but he came and looked at it. He said that it was a manufacturer issue so, he put a few bolts on the back. The noise is still there but it’s less. I like that the microwave is spacious and then, my stove is good. The oven is okay too, even though I prefer to have an even bigger oven. The fridge with a French door freezer is big too but I will benefit more if the freezer compartment would be larger, but it’s okay. We still fit it. We’re just a family of five people but we need more space.

I like the design, quality, size and features of Viking. The delivery of the refrigerator went well. I had it delivered in March, and been using it fine. But it wasnt until about three weeks ago, I had some renovating and remodeling. I had the plumbers come out and they connected the water line to the fridge so it can make ice. They hooked it up and I left for work, came back and only about 10 pieces of ice were made. So, I called up the place that I bought it from and they sent out a technician today but they couldnt figure it out. The technician was like, Oh, you need to send this in to Viking. This is a 700-pound unit. I spoke with them and they said that they will come out again to get this figured out. So, Im not very happy with the fridge at the moment. I also had ordered a Viking hood, a Viking stove, a dishwasher and a microwave. The microwave is fine so far. The range and dishwasher, I had ordered back in May, still havent received them.

We were in the middle of a remodel and after getting feedback from friends who have a Viking range, we ordered and paid for a unit in November of last year. They took the order in and had it delivered in March, but we had a little trouble with the people we bought it from because they sent us a propane range and they had to reorder a natural gas model. Other than that, once I was able to use the range, I love it. I like its performance, look and durability. It works great and the temperature is on point.

Viking has got a reputation that it has a very good product. We had a Thermador before and had problems with it so we decided to get a Viking. My husbands a cook and he decided this was what he wanted. When we called in a warranty issue with a fan for the stove, the people from Monterey who handle their warranty repairs came out. The guy was amazing. He did everything that he could find that needed to be done and he was here a few hours. It seems like the whole stove works better since he came out. He came in to replace the fan but now we have lights above the knobs which we never had. It also seems like the burners are hotter. He was out here twice. He came out once and diagnosed the fan problem. Since its an intermittent problem, the only way we were able to show him was that we videoed it. If we hadnt videoed it, they wouldnt have been able to handle it under warranty. Im sure theyre aware that this is an ongoing problem. Ive read about it in the internet as well so my one thing would be when people make a complaint, they shouldnt have to go to the point of videotaping the problem for Viking to authorize the repair. Other than that, we love our Viking Range. Its a really good product.

The new house I bought already had a Viking range and everything else, except for the refrigerator. I then bought a Viking fridge. All is great except with the ice-maker, which is annoying. Ive already had to have it replaced. Its a brand new machine, and every time I open up the door, the ice falls down. It is horribly designed. They should have figured it out. The ice machine is not one of those where you put a cup into it. Its just like a normal ice machine where one has to open up the door. So every time I open up the door, the ice falls down the back side and then I cant shut the door until I go down on all fours and pull it out from that.

I bought a Viking refrigerator due to the warranty on it. It works fine and I like its aesthetic features. However, I dont like the filters since they need to be replaced more often than I would like. Also, I made superficial dents in the bottom freezer drawer. It’s not noticeable, but I have to replace that single front panel so that I could get rid of it. The panel costs $1,650, which is more than half the cost of the entire refrigerator. Viking uses an outside manufacturer for that piece, and they’re ripping anybody who needs to replace that because they figured they need it. Its absolutely absurd and highly annoying that it’d cost that much money to fix the little dent.

We have four different Viking appliances and we love their line. We also love the range. But with the refrigerator that we bought, Im not feeling super great about it. After less than two months of us installing it, the refrigerator died. There was a problem with the fan in the freezer portion that wasnt blowing air up the refrigerator, so everything was spoiled. We called the company where we purchased the Viking Refrigerator from and then they contacted Viking. Then they sent someone under the manufacturer warranty. However, that process took three weeks so we were out of a refrigerator for three weeks. The refrigerator is fixed now, although there is a popping noise that occurs occasionally. But even though the refrigerator is giving us some trouble, we still like it. We also like its size and the capability of monitoring the temperature.

I was looking for higher end appliances, so we decided to go with Viking and have had nothing but problems. The refrigerators doors had a crack in it. The doors were not aligned. The freezer is always kind of opening and not sealing properly. Its a bit noisy. Then there was indenting, and this is the second time it happened in the fridge. I dont know why. I realized I have an extended 10-year warranty with PC Richard so I had the guy come out again, and he said he had to order a bunch of parts, and he placed the order. I hope that is being handled. As far as my range, its horrible. Im always having trouble. It is a very high-end stove that the burners half the time arent working. Its not holding the proper temperature inside. I feel like its a limit. I would put it on 400 but it only went to 300. Viking replaced the burners a couple of times. They come and fix it, but it reoccurs. Theres something wrong with the actual range itself. And then, when I called Viking because of everything that happened to have it serviced again because they canceled my last service due to the COVID, they told me Im out of warranty now. But its the same problem Ive been having since I got the range. Ive called in again but nobody has gotten back to me. They were supposed to push it up to management. I made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding whats going on.

I wanted the Viking Ranges look and also wanted it for the resale value. Everybody says Viking is top of the line but its beat up and cheap. The quality was not as I expected. Ive had one for over a year now and am disappointed because Ive had cosmetic issues with it though the repairs have been great. I also have had troubles with the handles turning off. The knobs are hitting the screws that hold it going to the front panel so then I’ve got a really loud rattle with the exhaust fan. Its amazing when it cools down and the skillet pans rattling on it. It gets so loud it disrupts conversations. Luckily, its still under warranty and they’re gonna take care of it when they come back.Apart from that, I like the way it performs. It cooks well. Also, the whole customer service experience was overwhelming but was better than expected. I was doing a DIY project and had issues with the cabinets so it took a long time to get the range unpacked and installed. But they treated me very well. Overall, I’m very satisfied with my Viking experience.

My experience with our Viking range has been good so far. We have one issue when we first got it, but it was a floor model, so thats understandable. One of the burners wasnt working, but they came in and they repaired it. Also, I did have a little bit of an issue with the vendor they used. Its the only authorized repair facility in the area. They dropped the ball a little bit with time. They got the part, and then they forgot to call me, and I had to call them after about three weeks after that.I paid that amount of money for a range and I expect to have it working, but Viking didnt really do anything. Its a little upsetting. I was expecting them to do something, but they just told me that it is what it is. And so, thats the only real issue. I waited about eight weeks from the time I got the stove until the time it was fixed. But the stove itself is doing great. I like the name of the brand and what I thought they stood for, and other than that, the quality of the range is incredible. We have one of the cast iron griddles. We use it a lot. We changed to one of the accessory pieces that they have that should come in cast iron, which we prefer over the stainless steel attachment that it comes with. But its great. We love it.

I bought a Viking range and microwave a year ago thinking with the higher pricing, bought higher quality. After one week, the stove top range started falling apart. The numbers on all the dials began rubbing off. Very poor quality. If you just want the range to just look pretty, dont ever plan on actually cooking on it. After one year the microwave has died completely. Its true what others have said. Viking will not come out for repair. They dont care. They sent out a rep., Wuerstlins Appliance Services, Inc. which failed to successfully repair it. Im now calling them out for the third time and Ive been without a microwave in my upstairs kitchen for four months and counting. 13 years ago, when we built our house, we bought a Viking refrigerator. About two years ago, we put $1100 into it because it quit working. The guy said it was better than new then about three months ago the refrigerator door fell off. They gave us a whole new one so now I have a new Viking Refrigerator. However, I dont like it as well as my old one because I dont think it holds as much. And already, the plastic is cracked in one of the drawers and I dont know how it happened. We had that problem with the old one, but not this soon. The drawer in the new unit is not extra full, it goes in by itself, and you just give it a little shove and it slides in. I like that feature and its better for me. But my other one have more of a tall shelf on one side so taller things would fit like a wine bottle say and its pretty. Their reps are very nice and they were very good about getting us a new refrigerator. When our refrigerator door fell off, luckily it only grazed my husband. It hit him on the shoulder but he was walking away from it. But it did damage my covered and wood floor. Theres also a big gouge out of my cabinet doors which Ive had somebody come to look at and theres no way that it can be fixed. It has to be replaced. Some of the boards on the floor have to be replaced too which means that they have to redo my whole floor because its an open hardwood floor. In their email to us, Viking said that they wanted our homeowners to do it. I checked with my homeowners and found that its going to raise my insurance. We have a $1500 deductible. So Im in the process of getting bids to send to Viking. Im not happy about that part of it and if it had hurt my husband worse, theyd have a lawsuit on their hands. Also, I feel that we werent notified of this problem with the Viking and were lucky there wasnt any grandkids here.

We went through an open house and we saw one with Viking as one of the stuff they put in their kitchen. My parents really love Sub-Zero and we were wondering if we’d go with Sub-Zero or Viking, and we picked Viking out of price. I like how cold it is and I like the fact that food doesn’t go spoiled as easily as with my traditional $2,000-range fridge. I bought a floor model and I called Viking ā€˜cause it had an installation issue. They sent a third-party company fast, which is good in terms of their customer service. However, the company who did the repair was not as good as I would like them to be because they couldn’t do it right and they put on the report that it might be a different issue. They scheduled it for another three to four weeks ā€˜cause of the parts. Overall Viking is pretty solid, but from the design point-of-view, it’s a bit outdated compared to others. Sub-Zero is better but it’s a little bit pricier and it’s harder to find a floor model than Viking.

We have a microwave, a wine cooler, the gas range and the hood. So, all we need is a ship now to be a complete Viking. The Viking refrigerator is good although some of the soft close drawers on the bottom of the refrigerator dont exactly soft close but Im not gonna go crazy over that as much as that thing cost us. I also had some issues with the icemaker but we got that resolved and it was more of a connection issue. We had some issues with our dishwasher and we had to have it replaced. There was a technical issue with our Viking that led to it being replaced. It was an older model that had a very unfortunate habit of freezing over the freezer at the bottom. The customer service was quite good. My wife contacted a US service representative who referred us to a local repair person who came to our house and assessed the issue. Being that this was something that was recognized as Viking and something that warranted a replacement, he reached out to a Canadian representative who emailed us and spoke to my wife. They ended up having to replace it because the technician messed the other one up.Our refrigerator has also been leaking at the bottom for the last five months. The thing is its in the guesthouse and it’s hardly used. The parts that have issues are all under warranty of about six to eight years. Ive been dealing with a gentleman from Viking who has been trying to get technicians down here. One tech took off the door as well as the back panels, and now the door wont close and it leaks on both sides instead of one. It’s very frustrating because other than that one tech who came, I’ve still yet to get another one to come and look at the refrigerator and were about ready to throw it out on the street. My liking of Viking has always been the cooktops or ranges. In fact, I just had my 60-inch installed in my kitchen in the main house. I still like the product. Its just very frustrating to deal with customer service. Their service and follow-up is horrendous and I would not recommend it to anybody. Ive been in the restaurant business for 30 years and people respect the opinion. So I cant make a recommendation when something is lopsided.

Viking Refrigerators was terrible. You pay $10,000 for a refrigerator so you expect it to work longer but there were problems twice. My wife tried to go to Viking’s helpline on the web and got discouraged. We finally had to call and talk to somebody to find out. Viking sent out the claim to different companies but they had to order the parts. It keeps going around looking for the correct person to call to start with. Apparently, this other company dispatches work to the company in Dallas and they sent in the information but it never got there. The lady in Dallas was very helpful, she told us who we need to call and made things happen but the backend was terrible.

I see Viking in other peoples homes, and I got them because I thought the quality was good and they were kind of upper-end. However, the quality is not what I thought it was. We have the whole suite -- we have the refrigerator, a 36-inch freezer, a 48-inch stove, two dishwashers and a microwave. The fridge is fine and I like the size of it. However, I’m surprised at how poorly the others were built. We ended up having to get six dishwashers in total because four of them were bad. The other two, we finally said we were sick of being without a dishwasher, so we just accepted the poor quality. The stainless steel is thin, and it was dented on the front. The drawers on the side were broken, and we ended up having to pay shipping on it because Viking wouldn’t warranty it.

Outside of the range, all the Viking Products we have purchased, including build in microwave, built in oven, and dishwater failed numerous times and service has been horrible to say the least. Parts take months to get if you can get them at all and service reps pretty much just play guessing games on what to do. Do yourself a favor and go buy a GE or KitchenAid. Viking is all smoke and mirrors and not a high end brand they claim to be.

Sales communications could have been better, as when the range arrived the installation was not scheduled. There is a bow in the bottom panel, and the gas ignites in the oven only %50 of the time, the other $50 of the time only smell gas - unfortunately two whumphhh! booms occurred inside which is how I discovered the gas does not ignite well - obviously a small explosion occurred and I will not use the oven. The result so far after several months since I placed the order?: Service took two weeks to get scheduled for a repair date that is an additional three weeks out. I still have no idea if this is covered under warranty or if it can be fixed, I only know I waited for ever and have a nice looking range that is only %50 useful, and in general underperforms vs Thermador, which I would have bought had I not had my heart set on a specific color. I still have no oven to use, not worth it after several months experience (so far).

Before the start of our home construction, we asked our developer what appliances theyre going to have. They mentioned they were going to do a Viking Range. I did a bit of research and I thought the Viking would be sufficient. However, we were concerned with the first problem that we had. We had the range on August 28 and we noticed around Thanksgiving that the pilot light struggles into lighting when the oven would go out. It would make a lot of clicking sounds, and surely thereafter, it went out. Unfortunately, we didn’t fill out the warranty certificate at that time. We just moved into our new home. So immediately, we filled out the warranty and called Viking and their customer service team was extremely helpful. Their rep immediately put in the claim to the local service vendor. But the local service vendor was really, really slow. One, their availability to even come out here and look at the range, and then from that moment they identified the problem, they said they needed a new part and we didn’t hear anything from them for a week. We called back to ask the status of the new part, and they said that it’s still in order. At that point, I called Viking and asked if they can help and they expedited the process on their end. It took about a month and a half to get our range from the time it went out to the time that it was operational again. I did not fault Viking because they were very responsive. It was the local service providers which resulted in the delays. Overall, Viking is a good quality and very durable appliance.

I always knew of Viking and I wanted more of a commercial stove. But when I bought from them, the time frame was awful. I ordered in November and I got it in January. There was also an issue with the stove and that was very frustrating. But it got fixed. Then, I had a scratch on it which was right at the surface of the stainless steel ledge. Their person ended up telling me that it was a really common place and it was going to get scratched eventually. So I just told her to forget it, which stinks. But it is what it is and I couldnt wait any longer. I wasnt going to send the range back for a small scratch, but it still shouldnt have been there.Aside from that, Viking did not handle any issues with me. I had to go through the seller, which was frustrating because they just kept saying they were waiting. So because of COVID, it took a while, which I understand. But there was no follow-up whatsoever, so you felt it was a burden calling. Everybody was calling with the same stuff and they were mad about it. I have little children and I didnt have appliances for months. That was so hard and I will never do that again. I love the stove now. Its big and I can cook whatever I want whenever I want because the size is nice. I also like that each burner is the same size. But there was so much trouble that I dont know that I would buy a Viking range again.

We installed all Viking appliances with a new house purchase, including a Viking Dishwasher that lasted for six years before it stopped working. Purchased a replacement dishwasher and it started leaking water after about 11 months. It also does not dry the dishes well and sometimes smells. It took over four months, several repair visits and complaints to BBB before Viking replaced the defective dishwasher with a new dishwasher. Barely six months later, the new dishwasher is again leaking. Contacted Viking and they scheduled for repair service with local repair dealer. Repair technician comes over about a month ago and diagnosed the issue and ordered the parts. Several weeks later, after I contacted them regarding the status of the parts, they scheduled a repair service appointment and changed the entire front door of the dishwasher. Technician ran the dishwasher for about five minutes and declares the problem fixed. Over the next few days, after running the cycle through (the dishwasher takes approximately 3-4 hours to run through a cycle), I noticed that the leak continues in the center of the dishwasher, albeit not as extensively as before the front door was changed, but definitely a noticeable leak. Contacted the local repair company who stated that I need to contact Viking directly as they have done everything Viking told them to do. Contacted Viking and I now being told they need to contact the regional service manager as to the next steps. In my previous experience, waiting on the next directive from the regional service manager took months. What I do not understand is the fact that Viking is well aware of the issue with their leaking dishwashers and they have not taken the time to find a permanent fix for the problem. I have had other dishwashers before from other brands and did not experience the issues and leaks that I am experiencing with the Viking brand. I also had an issue with my Viking refrigerator leaking 8 years ago.... They attempted to fix the leak, including sending the engineers who designed the refrigerator from Mississippi to my home to fix the problem; all to no avail. Viking ended up replacing the refrigerator when all their repair efforts failed. The replacement refrigerator has worked out fine for the most part. Cant say the same for the replacement dishwasher.Right now, the waiting game continues. I had to involve BBB the last time this happened to even get responses from Viking. I am thinking of initiating another complaint with BBB but will first give Viking a few days to see what they come up with. Not happy about the inconvenience that my family and I have been subjected to from Vikings defective products.

I unfortunately bought a Viking gas range from the local dealer Warner Stellian since the Wolf range I wanted was on indefinite backorder. This range has proven to be the worst gas range I ever had the mis-fortune of owning. Absolute piece of junk nothing but problems from day 1. Oven door that doesnt lock in cleaning cycle, spark modules and ignitors that dont work, door hinges that break, etc, etc. And forget about getting ANY satisfaction from Viking you call they ignore you and treat you like your stupid. I recently bought some much cheaper GE appliances for my mothers house in FLA and they performed flawlessly and at 1/4 to 1/3 the cost of Viking P.O.S.I think Im not alone see the other reviews on this site and they are all very consistent and UNHAPPY. DONT fall victim to the hype and salesperson B.S. Save your money and buy ANYTHING other than a Viking! Overpriced, poor quality, non-existent customer service, expensive hard to find parts, lousy, pathetic customer service from the manufacturer. Other than all that, youll love them...

Our 30-inch gas Viking Range has been a total waste of money. First, the door hinges needed replaced, the igniter, the hood, uneven heating, etc. But this week was the last straw. I was baking and I fell ill by the fumes - the nausea was horrible. Shut the oven and called the gas company. They said carbon monoxide made me sick and they took the ranges output measurements of that dangerous gas. The problem was the flame spreader located on the underside of the oven floor. It was bolted and all the bolts came loose - hence the large spreader fell into the flames. This is an atrocity that for the amount paid for a Viking that this design element should last for the life of the range! How many of us take out the oven floor on a regular basis? I would think welding that element to the underside of the floor would work! Viking has been horrible about customer service so I am taking to social media as well. I expect when I pay money for a system that responsible service results and that the item can last. If I could give zero stars on this rating, I would!

After I bought Viking appliances, Ive been having problems, and the products are less than two years old. In the first year, we had a problem with the dishwasher. Something went wrong. But they came out and fixed it. Then we had a problem with the refrigerator. The heater for the ice maker didnt work, so there was water pooling at the bottom and then flat out. They came and they changed the heater one time. Then a week later, the same thing, water was coming out again. They said there was some piece over there that was missing. I was disappointed. We had a Thermador double-wall oven and a cooktop in the house we owned before and my husband and I liked the way they were set-up. When we bought our current house, we didn’t want the ovens in the wall and just the cooktop because it’s a smaller house. We decided we wanted a freestanding slide the stove in with an oven and cooktop. We liked the looks of the Viking Ranges. The handles were substantial and were very much like the Thermador which was the professional model. We bought the gas range in December of 2010, but we did not take delivery of it until the beginning of February of 2011 because we redid our kitchen. We have the range in service for almost seven years but then, we noticed that the bottom of the oven have grooves in it and they were all rusted. I called Viking and got Lakeside Service. I had them look at it and they agreed that it was rusting down in the grooves but they didn’t know the reason. They said it couldnt be repaired and felt that it would ultimately rust through. Somebody at Viking told me that probably it was because we dropped something. But we didnt and it would be very hard to drop something into these narrow grooves that were in the bottom. The oven was not mishandled or misused in any way. And for something that we paid almost $6,000, it should not have died or be defective within seven years.I called customer service ā€˜cause I was supposed to hear from someone within a couple of days but it was already more than that. I was patched through to Michelle and we worked out the details. Viking offered to pay about half on a new freestanding stove to slide in the spot and I paid a little bit more than half the installation fee. This time, we decided to go with an electric cooktop. We got it through Viking and their installer put it in. We noticed that this one sticks up but other than that, it’s good. However, I will never buy another Viking stove if this one does the same thing in the next seven years. At the cost of their product, I would expect it to last longer than that. Also, their 90-day warranty was almost nonexistent particularly on the porcelain paint job on the oven. I am dissatisfied with it and yet I have another one, but that was the only way to get back anything that would fit in the opening. We weren’t sure if the other brands would fit and we knew that the new one we have would. But as far as their people are concerned, it was an okay experience.

When I called the next day, the lady said shell get it set up for me. She gave me a repair number and the name of the company to call. I called the service company and they said that Im outside of their service area and they wont do the work regardless of whether Ill pay for it or not. I called back Viking and the next lady worked to try to find somebody else who could fix it for me. She looked it up and said Im out of warranty and Im out of luck. I told her I knew that I was two months out of my warranty and that I shouldve reported the problem a little bit faster. But I told her I have no problem paying to have a service provider come out and fix it. I was also willing to pay for the parts and I was not looking for them to pay for any of it. I was just looking for assistance to find an authorized service provider that can do the work for me so the dishwasher can get back up and working.Im so frustrated about my Viking appliances that Ive really enjoyed and which have worked better than I anticipated. Its rough for me right now because I cant find anybody who is willing to work on them. Ive had my Viking range since June 2019. I had a previous high-end oven that came with the house that I bought, and when that oven was no longer able to be repaired under the warranty, I had grown accustomed to its features, and I wanted another one. And there are only a handful of high-end brands that has the same features, a Viking being one of them. I went with it being the lower maintenance and lower complexity quality brand. And I liked the style and the look of it. I don’t quite know if I’m gonna get the value out of what I paid for because they threw in a promotional free Viking dishwasher that we replaced my older, reliable dishwasher with, and it had nothing but problems, to which finally, it seems to have gotten fixed. And that has turned me off of the brand because I wondered, if the dishwasher had so many issues and seems cheaply-made, what’s the Viking brand for the range going to do down the road? My overall feeling is that I have enormous trepidation about spending the money that I did, and how long this unit is actually going to last without it costing me tons and tons of money out of out-of-pocket repairs once the warranty expires. But then again, maybe that’s their business model. Maybe that’s why I got this broken dishwasher so that I have to keep repairing it and spending money years down the road. That’s my mental state that I’m in on the Viking brand right now. And there’s really not much I can do about it at this point. So, I have to hope for the best. The other issue that I have is that there has been a concerning, unexpected behavior with the range where, sometimes, my wife or I will turn it on and set it to bake and to preheat, and we’ll come back to it 20 minutes later, and it has set itself onto the clean cycle and hasn’t heated up or anything. I actually ruined a couple of bread loaves that I was looking to throw onto the oven at that time and I couldn’t. And I had to switch it off, then on and then off. So now, I have to call the egregious Viking customer service and tell them that I have a problem although I can’t be sure. And it’s time and energy that I have to spend doing that, it’s rearranging my schedule for a repair crew. I wanted a product that works, and I’m not entirely sure I have a product that works well. I’m highly skeptical and feeling trepidatious about it. I have limited confidence that it’s going to continue to function like a new $11,000 range should for longer than a year or two. I’m living in the fear of I don’t really know what to expect outta this thing, and I don’t really know if you guys are gonna support me in my time of need for the amount of money that I paid.

We bought a house in 2011 that had a 36 Viking gas range. The kitchen had been remodeled the year before so the appliances were all practically new, and the old owners asked us to pay for them separately. Im so glad we didnt, because this Viking stove is a piece of junk. We have twice had it stop working and it took a long time to get it fixed because the Viking specialists wanted to charge us an arm and a leg just to come look at the appliance. I have never known anyone who has had fuses just stop working on their oven -- this happened to us. Then, we discovered this winter that the igniter was melting onto the burner, which was triggering the whole unit to turn off for safety. This started happening when we were throwing a dinner party and I was trying to cook for 25 people. We got it fixed but it still sometimes doesnt heat up reliably. I would never recommend Viking products based on our experience with this stove. I never know if it will heat up as it should or if I will just have to figure out another way to cook my food. Its been totally horrible.

My Viking double oven is a piece of junk. It never properly worked. Ive tried several times to get the ovens fixed and even the repairmen say that Viking is having serious manufacturing problems all related to maintaining heat. My cakes come out in a wavy shape because the heat isnt evenly distributed throughout the oven. The oven is so bad now that it cant stay heated; Thanksgiving turkey wouldnt cook because the oven couldnt sustain an even temperature after an hour or so. My husband and I love Viking and we love to cook. If we’re gonna invest in something really great for our house, we’re gonna buy good kitchen equipment. We originally bought a gas range in June of 2017 and I love that it has a self-cleaning oven. It had a five-eye burner but the fisheye and the back right burners would not work. Different people came out trying to get it to work but it never did. After 11 plus months, they picked the range up and replaced it with a commercial unit with the burners of the same heat and without the self-cleaning.The one we have now has four eyes and it doesn’t have that similar fish burner, which is okay. It would have been great for making gravy on the pan but I can certainly set a baking sheet every time and it’s not the end of the world. Also, the last one had a solid break at the top and it was so big. We live in a 100 plus year old house and we just have a normal kitchen sink. So trying to clean that thing was really really difficult. This current one that we have is broken into thirds. We can take the burner rings out and take the whole thing and get down so we can get underneath all that. And if anything spills into the stovetop or the range top, we can clean that too and which is really wonderful. When we first got it and we put it in, the passenger’s side backseat burner didn’t work. So we disassembled the parts trying figure out why that one particular eye wouldn’t light and noticed there was a little bit of misalignment between where the gas flows and the flame comes out. There was the tiny little floss around the burner where flame shoots out. I called the tech, Luke, back and he came over and he said he had put one of those in a couple of weeks to go in Germantown. He said it was the exact same problem. That’s something that they might wanna quality check if there’s some kind of problem in the manufacturing of it. But Luke adjusted it, so now it lights just fine. Then, one time, the oven wouldn’t fire. It went through four rounds of the click and then it started releasing gas which was a little scary. I turned it off, I opened the doors and waited for a minutes. I looked at the front of the oven a little more closely and it said that it had a self reigniter. So I waited about 10 minutes and tried to begin and it fired. I thought I need to figure out where the flame is coming from in this thing in case I ever do have to put a stick lighter in there and get it going. Also, I was supposed to be able to take the base of the oven out to clean, but I haven’t been able to figure out how to remove it.Other than those, the oven itself is a dream come true and so is the range. It cooks everything so well and so evenly, especially my husband remarks how much more pleasant it is to work with than the original one that we had. Even if the original one hadn’t had the flaws, I don’t think it was quite what this particular unit is. And granted, our original one is more of a household model and this is a commercial model but this one is incredible. I would recommend this.

Ive had Viking in a previous home 15 years ago. At that time, I liked it better than anything else that was comparable of the professional series. However, theres one thing that some of the other ranges have that Viking didn’t and maybe still doesn’t have, and that’s different sized burners. My wife makes espresso every morning with the little Italian coffee pot, and all of the flame diameters are bigger than the actual espresso pot that were using. So we have to put it on the side and it uses about a third of the flame and two-thirds that has nothing. I know that some other brands have ones where the back burners are small. It’s the only thing that I wish was different. But I like that Viking is sturdy and uses gas.

My Viking refrigerator was provided by the builders and has been looking okay so far. I’ve been using it only a couple of months now. However, I do not necessarily like the design of the fridge. It doesnt have a water dispenser. I had expected a refrigerator with water dispenser, but apparently, Viking doesn’t make those anymore. I also would like to have a doorstop. The way the refrigerator is installed, it is very close to the oven handle, and if I open it down there, it hits the refrigerator door and puts a dent. So, I have to be careful. If it could have a doorstop that I could adjust and limit the opening of the door, that would help.

Had two issues with my range. First, the grate feet have come off my grills. After much back and forth (6-8 emails) a link was sent to me to order on my own. Unfortunately the feet and link were not available to be shipped to Canada. As well my range was still under warranty. I emailed back for another option for a Canadian supplier and my thoughts that this would be under warranty. I had no response (still have not). Secondly, the motherboard and fan stopped working, less than a year old. The process (online) was great to set up a call, however the process of having the claim put through to a technician and to have the product repaired took over a month. I love the product, but would still like an answer to the feet. Thanks.

I bought stove of my dreams in 1997 after waiting decades to be able to afford it. It is a Viking 6 burner/with griddle (which I wish I hadnt gotten), double gas ovens. Since day one the ovens smell like gas while on. I have to run my ventilator while the oven is on to keep the odor under control. I have had several repair men, always changing the igniters. The part is $16.00 on Amazon by the way. I pay a lot more than that! Anyway it has never fixed the problem. It makes me think twice about using the oven as I have to listen to the noise of the vent for hours if I choose to bake or roast anything. I am truly disappointed with this range and after reading all of the other reviews realize that Im not alone. I would never recommend any Viking product. I wish I had never gotten with this stove. My first choice was Wolfe, and I was talked out of it and into Viking!

In the summer of 2018 we purchased a Viking range model VGR5606GQSS, serial number 081018C10297709. It is a 60ā€ 6 burner, double oven, grill and griddle gas range. We purchased it from Fred’s Appliance in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho for our all new kitchen remodel. We have a large family was and this was chosen to provide for our needs especially on holidays. This is where the nightmare begins. This is a short synopsis, as I am an aerospace engineer I have hundreds of pictures of the failures, parts replaced from service calls and lots of documentation, emails, Viking parts book, if anybody wants any of them I will be happy to provide it.1) Shortly after installation, October 2018, the first thing that was noticed was the smell of gas, not a huge leak but noticeable every time walking past the unit. Not long after that we discovered the right side broiler did not work. Now comes Thanksgiving with about 40 people assembled for a happy time. Well what do you know the left oven was not working and we had both ovens running with something in each. 2) On the subsequent service call form Fred’s the first tech did not even know how to work on the unit and had a terrible customer service attitude nor did he even bring a gas sniffer or a way to move a 750 lb stove. We were also told by somebody at Fred’s that some gas leak is normal. Also moving the 750 lb. stove alone he damaged the floor under it. Nothing was fixed on this call.3) The second service request was for the same 3 items, Gas leak inside someplace. Right broiler will not stay on. Left oven acts up sometimes. 4) We did not see any service personnel again until March 6th 2019. A whole team from Fred’s showed up and managed to verify there was in fact a gas leak. It was caused by an improperly installed ferrule on a gas fitting on a regulator on the right side of the oven from the factory. Two issues of concern here, the first the leak was fixed not by replacing the faulty tube but tightening it really tight, the second if you look at the end of the tube it has been cut and not deburred allowing small aluminum chips to possibly enter the regulator and jam it up.. The second is that workmanship at the factory is substandard. Not only was this not checked for leakage at the factory, this leak would have been easily detected at the factory. Pictures available on request.5) So now we have only one of three items repaired. We still have a right broiler issue and a left oven issue. A note here when the left oven stops working the LED by the control flashes 4 times then pause and repeat and nobody not even at Viking knows what that means. The temperature control is made by ELAN Industries, and I believe the part number is EC021006, again pictures are available on request. 6) Now along to the service call on 6-26-19 hopefully (but did not) solve the oven issue(s). Here we are one year later and the left oven is doing the same thing. On 6-26-19 a team from Fred’s arrived again in a convoy of service trucks. This time their goal was to replace the ignitor boards on each oven hoping that would work. The boards are made by Invensys Controls P/N 100-01720-00, (recently acquired by Schneider Electric). They are a microprocessor based board using the PIC16C58B microcontroller by Microchip. They are 120V powered and receive one of two command signals from the oven thermostat telling it to open the gas valve and ignite the gas on either the oven or the broiler on that oven. Each oven has one. Again pictures and schematic available on request. This has resolved the right broiler issue but NOT the left oven failing and not restarting again until it is cool and giving the unknown 4 flashes code.7) We were told by one of the service technicians on one of the visits from Fred’s that if we wanted quality we should have chosen a Wolf range. There is something telling about that statement and I have heard it from others. 8) Now it is getting close to Thanksgiving 2019 for another large family gathering. Brent from Viking and Freds appliance came out Mid November 2019 and replaced the oven controls and changed the orifice on the left oven to a smaller diameter. This did stop the four flashes of the LED but caused a natural gas smell whenever the left oven was on for an extended period of time, it took about 30 minutes and gradually got worse through the house. This triggered a service call from Brennan at Northern Appliance to come out and verify the gas smell, which he did and reported it to Viking. Later just before Christmas Brennan made another service call to change the gas orifice on the left oven, back to a larger one, (the right oven works great). This solved the gas smell, however Christmas dinner was a disaster as the left oven 4 flash issue was back and we could not use the left oven as it would not stay running. 9) Now we initiated another service call over a year and the left oven still will not work correctly while the right one does and the parts list shows them both having the same controlling parts. So I received this e-mail from Jeff the service manager at Fred’s Appliance. They can’t fix it so they are taking it back and refuse to sell us anything now or in the future no matter what brand. I’ve been tasked with informing you that the manufacturer, and Fred’s appliance are working together to refund your range and the 8ā€ back-guard accessory purchased with it. We will make arrangements for an installation company to work with your schedule to remove the range, and we will credit you back the full purchase price for those items upon return. I’ve attached a copy of your invoice and the total to be reimbursed is $14,181.69. The manufacturer and Fred’s appliance management have concluded that it’s not within our best interest to ship out a replacement range because it’s likely that a replacement will not address your on-going concerns. We are initiating return documents and an independent installation company will be in contact soon. Thank you, Jeff

Eight years ago, we remodeled our kitchen and purchased four Viking appliances - two wall ovens, an eight-burner gas range and a microwave. We spent in excess of $10,000 on these products with the expectation of high quality and the hope that they would be life-time investments. All still function well and we have had no problems up until now.Approximately 3 months ago the lettering and numbering on the oven control panels began to come off. I contacted Viking regarding this issue and was informed that I would need to purchase new control panels at a cost of over $100 each plus the cost of installation. Not only is the problem disappointing, Im even more disappointed in the complete lack of customer care or support demonstrated by Viking. I was unable to speak directly to a Viking customer support representative, instead was directed to a regional supplier who was less than engaged or helpful. The Viking call center is a maze of transfers and the corporate office phone number listed on the web site is simply a number that directs you to the same maze of transfers and select-an-options. Viking manufactures a good product and should stand behind it with stellar customer service and support. Numbers/letters rubbing off on a product meant to last a life-time is unacceptable and Viking should be willing to rectify the problem with minimal inconvenience and cost to their customer.I suggest Viking review the customer service/support policies of other high-end home product manufacturers and implement some of their strategies. In particular I mention Kohler. We are also experiencing a minor issue with a faucet we purchased during our kitchen renovation. Upon contacting Kohler, I spoke directly to a representative who immediately placed the order for the replacement part. It is being shipped directly to me at no charge. Companies who market themselves as offering high-quality products to discriminating customers should stand behind their products no matter how large or small the issue may be.

Purchased this 36 gas range in 2006 for over $6k. A week before Christmas, it broke down. Several parts were replaced by a reputable, local repair firm, but the key one is PJ030015, the 6 prong selector switch was not available. Called Viking and was told it has been discontinued since 2016. The customer service person kept telling me that sales had specials going on so I should contact them. Asked her if she would replace a $6k range because a $100 part wasnt available. This is totally unacceptable. The company should have an solution for this other than check eBay and Craigslist. For Petes sake, go to China and get some built. So, buyer beware. A good company would not do this for a product that is not that old nor inexpensive.

In our old place, we had Wolf and we really liked it. When we moved, the new house had a Viking stove. We looked into changing the stove to a Wolf, but my husband did some research and realized that Viking is a really good, reputable brand. When we looked at the appliance store, we saw the fridge. Then we also got the dishwasher and the steam oven just because everything needed to match for my husband. We’ve had them for a couple of months and so far they’ve been good. We like the refrigerators different controls and the compartments. The only thing that would be of benefit to us is having the water in it. But otherwise, we’re extremely happy and satisfied with Viking.

I’ve had previous experience with Viking and I know its quality so I chose it over others. I like that the Viking refrigerator has more space but I had to return the original one that I purchased and get the same model. Its got an error code and it stopped cooling. It was still within the 14-day window that they gave me so I chose to replace it rather than repair. I had a great purchasing experience with the team at Pacific Sales. However, when the delivery was supposed to take place with the first refrigerator, there was a reschedule. And I was not notified promptly. So, I had to make arrangements and then cancel them. With the second delivery, with the replacement unit, the same thing happened. I know they subcontract the delivery and it wasn’t a very positive experience. I was just trying to work something out with the salesperson because this was a big hassle - from the delivery, to the unit breaking down, to all that. So, he tried to do the best, gave us a gift certificate for $50, but we were not very encouraged. One mistake is fine, but twice and then a bad refrigerator. But there are always bad apples. So, Im not judging the whole line because of one unit. It’s got a simple design and I still find it reliable.

Viking Ranges had long-term warranty and they had reviews of how it cooked meat, so I chose them. There were multiple dealers so purchasing it wasn’t too difficult of a process. But youd need some plumber to put it in because it was so heavy. It was lifted not from the bottom and I don’t think they did a particularly good job of it. There was that kind of lip that came out and too often that was used, that was not reinforced enough to handle the weight or sometimes the door was also used incorrectly. It should not to do it that way, but it looked like a handle and people invariably lift and pull on it.In the two years and a half that Ive had it, weve had the thermometer broke and we’ve had that replaced, but it was under warranty. We called them and then they called us back and then they made a stress test, but eventually we got through it. The process wasn’t super-fast, but we’re easy-going, so we managed around it.Im not really happy with the baking. It’s inconsistent. And with the stuff that got on the burners and spilled on it, you just can’t get them cleaned after a while. This is sort of the nature of the stove itself. There are certain parts that are more difficult than others. Everything that we’ve read about it is pretty much true and that has been consistent. So, we knew what we were getting, that it was gonna be expensive, that it didn’t cook real evenly, but it still looks cool and they have a roadmap of how to get it better.

I have a full Viking kitchen and Im not enjoying the customer service that comes along with my purchase. They only have a two-year warranty on that stuff, which is fine. Thats their policy and they can do whatever they want. In the grand scheme of everything, I called Viking because my wife and I, we cook a lot and we really use our professional kitchen as it should. At first, I went to register online with Viking and I was able to register one item. Then it said to call customer service. So I called customer service, and took photos of all the items as well as their serial numbers. I got an email back saying theyre registered and theyre all out of warranty. I thought that was impossible since we just bought them. I was very frank with them and I explained it through the email. I also spoke with three different people. At first, someone from customer service said they could make an exception here. Then it went to someone else until finally, someone said its their policy and they dont do that. It was the most cold email Ive ever received from a company and I couldnt believe this. Now, screws are popping out of my oven and I dont know where theyre coming from.

I purchased a 6 burner range with a grill in the middle. The center started to sag. I called the authorized service person in my area and he said he had installed a kit to fix the problem that Viking provided but that it wouldnt be free because my unit was no longer under warranty. He said the center grill wasnt properly supported so over time it sagged with heat or pressure. I complained to Viking because this was a defect they knew about. First excuse: they said they couldnt help because my unit wasnt properly registered even though the matching fridge was. I provided proof of purchase (original receipt) so they registered my unit. Second excuse: there was no kit ever produced perhaps because so few people complained. I said a manufacturing defect is a defect. They should fix it even if only one complained. I mentioned the repairman had fixed the problem for others and gave them his contact info. They said they would follow up but never did.

I purchased all Viking appliances thinking they were high quality. Unfortunately, I had problems from the start...especially with the dishwasher. Like many other customers, the silverware basket began falling apart within the first year. I complained to Viking and left with the impression they just dont care if you are satisfied or not. I cant stand the thought of paying up to $80 for a new Viking basket- after paying so much $$$ for the dishwasher in the first place- so I am still using the broken one currently held together with zip ties. If that wasnt enough, the start button on the top edge that turns the machine ON failed. That cost me close to $200 to replace one tiny electronic part. I have a small apartment size dishwasher in one of my rental units I paid only 1/4 of what I did for my Viking and it cleans dishes so much BETTER than my expensive Viking. DO NOT BUY VIKING APPLIANCES. You will regret it.

My Viking stove was purchased in 2001. We have had issues with it ever since. My stove has a double oven, both of which have required several repairs. The self cleaning on each oven has broken twice, and the heating elements constantly burn out. Both heating elements are now burned out, and I have been without a working oven for four weeks. Of course the heating elements have been on back order all this time, and nobody, including Viking, has a clue as to when these heating elements will be back in stock. Its probably fair to assume that if these items are currently on back order, then many Viking customers are having the same issue with their stove as I am. Each time I call for repair, its a minimum of $350. What a waste of money, this purchase has been for me. The Viking Corporation is an absolute mess, and I continue to tell anyone who is willing to listen, my sad, but very true story. Never again, will I purchase a Viking.

Gas Range model VGCC5366BSS installed Oct. 2013. Oven continually failed due to fried control module. The module was replaced over a dozen times, and during one period where we were waiting for parts, the company installed a temporary 30 range of the same model, and it failed within 2 months for the same reason. The repairman set up surge protectors, ran a new electrical circuit, had the utility monitor for electrical surges, and had us use a door wedge to hold the oven door tightly closed (the last theory was that heat was escaping from the oven and burning the circuit board). I just found out today (not from Viking!), that there is a huge recall on Viking and Brigade freestanding gas ranges (US & Canada), including my model. I had a Viking range in my older home. So when I was remodeling the house over a year ago, the designer who was helping me with the kitchen picked it, and it was installed over the summer because renovation takes a long time. Then I moved in November of this past year. I used it during Thanksgiving and it worked briefly for a second, but then it broke. Every Viking product that Ive purchased is broken - the range hood, the refrigerator, and the range. I have a very busy life, so by the time I get around to calling for anything and figuring out where I need to call and what I need to do, and get everything registered, and realizing what is all wrong, it takes me a while. I have a job, so every time I try to call and stay on hold, I cant call in, because your business hours are my business hours. So Im not happy and I would never buy one again.

I like everything about the particular Viking refrigerator that I bought. Its very quiet and the quality is very good. The lighting inside is amazing and the outside and drawers are nice. However, their setup was totally not what it shouldve been. They came in, put in the refrigerator and that was it. When they set it up, they put the handles on and they left. But the handles need to come back off to get the plastic out, which they never did, so it was there. It took me about two weeks to peel off the plastic thats so tight on that refrigerator. It was like pulling off glue off the refrigerator. They came back once and the guy was late, and I had to go to work. And then I never recalled them to come back. My husband peeled off the rest. Also, when you pull out the drawer on the bottom, the other drawer comes out with it, and you have to push it back. Other than that, Im really happy with the refrigerator. When we bought this condo, an LLC came in and we completely remodeled it. We had an appliance package that everything in the kitchen is Viking. However, Ive been a little disappointed with some of the Viking products because I know it has got such a good reputation. The Viking refrigerator seems to be building up the ice cubes like you got a pull-out drawer. I really like the style of the double doors on top with the freezer at the bottom, but when I open the door for the freezer all the ice falls out the back of the tray. It was a brand-new kitchen when we got the condo and there was all this frost buildup. Evidently, somebody hadn’t put the shelves in right, so it pushed the door out a little bit. I had a Viking repairman come in and he fixed that and he said a lot of people had this complaint as the tray isn’t tall enough at the back of it. I guess Viking has done something to order a higher back on the ice tray to hold the ice cubes in. He said he ordered it. I had spoken to somebody at Viking and it seemed that the people that remodeled did not register any of the products. I had to get online as well as on the phone to register the products and that was a challenge as well. Im pretty efficient on the product code, yet it took about three days to get all the products registered through the website and for customer service to call me back and tell me, ā€œDon’t put that number in. Leave that letter off.ā€œ Viking customer service and repair was excellent. The customer service was very helpful getting back to me, double checking and calling me back. They were prompt and they were fine. It was just so odd about this logging in the product serial number and stuff and then not having to go through. The refrigerator was just good to average and I really like the bottom freezer. The refrigerator has a feature that has chilled water on it, but that’s something that I had no choice because the refrigerator came with it. Also, the refrigerator doors are not quite sturdy. It seems like when I open the double doors, everything seems to rattle and move around. But Ive never had a double door before since Ive had a KitchenAid with a bottom freezer and a big single door. So, maybe its just the nature of having the double refrigerator doors.

I had a friend that had a Viking range. It was reliable and I also like the way it looks. The Viking range was good, once I got it fixed. My favorite feature would be how quickly I can cook a meal, the burners get hot and the oven stays relatively warm. The feature that I do not like is on the oven, how the temperature resets. If it gets up to 400 degrees, and you’re baking a cake, and then, it stops. Once it reaches 400 degrees, a fan comes on, it’s like I have to cook the cake a little bit longer. We purchased a house that had Viking appliances in it and our range had a little saga. We were happy with the original range until it had its issue with the handle. The front door with the handle and glass separated from the heavier thermal part of the door. It was under warranty but they couldnt supply a replacement part. It took many months before Viking finally agreed to replace the range but once they did, they did a really good job of coordinating. It was very unexpected to have an issue with the door, but they resolved to our satisfaction.

I used to live in the downtown Denver area and had a loft that I refurbished down there. I had all Viking everywhere. Then I moved into a new home north of Denver. I had to buy my own refrigerator because it was a brand-new home. I decided that the Viking fit in the space the best and I also liked my Viking purchases previously back in 2000. I’ve been pleased with my Viking refrigerator. I can’t believe how long food stays fresh in it. I can leave food in there for weeks on end, and it still comes out as if I just bought it from the supermarket so I’m very impressed. I think there’s truly something going on in that box. I also like the industrial nature. It’s all heavy-duty stainless and the moving parts are very fluid and easy to operate. I’m extremely satisfied and I really enjoy owning Viking. Viking is pricey, but I get what I pay for.

Weve heard about Viking Ranges for years and wed been wanting one all these years, so we finally got one because we got gas hooked up. I grew up with gas, and when we moved to Florida, Florida had mostly just electricity or electric ranges. My husbands from Mississippi, so we had to look at Mississippi in getting a Viking and we love it. Its the first time hes cooked on a gas stove, and its so much better. It cooks so much nicer and the food tastes better. Everybody from Viking was great. The gas that we put in had been delayed and they kept the stove there, and then they brought it as soon as we needed it.

I purchased a Viking 36 all fridge and all freezer to match the decor of the kitchen and have had no issues with the fridge until 3 months ago. The bottom evaporator behind the crisper drawer has been leaking onto the bottom of the fridge and onto the floor daily for the past 3 months only to find out after spending much time and money to try and get this matter resolved to be told by Corporate that the replacement part is no longer made and that I could purchase a new unit at 50% discount off of retail. Albeit a nice gesture but not interested in spending $4K plus on a new fridge that wont match the side by side freezer for a defective matter with the unit that the manufacturer has had in the past and doesnt stock the product or part. Something needs to be done that will solve my problem and make me sign the praises of the Viking name but I gut now, its not working for me!!

We had a Viking in our town home a number of years ago. We decided to buy from them because of their reputation and the fact that we like having the range with glass. The range has been awesome. It’s bigger and it’s a great brand. I would recommend it.

I purchased a newly-renovated house and a Viking refrigerator came with it. But I dont like it. It keeps my food cold but I liked my old GE refrigerator better than this one. It doesn’t have a water option, the ice machine isn’t working and the freezer is not very space efficient. I just think it should have a water filtration system and an ice machine. I don’t understand this ice-free model. And it’s not even working right now.

I chose a simple Viking fridge because if its too complex, theres a bigger chance that it will break. Ive had the fridge for half a year and Im satisfied. But the shelf on the door fell once I closed the door and it broke. I sent an email to the Viking service center a couple of weeks ago but nobody answered. I was wondering if someone can send a new shelf to me to replace it.

The appliances were installed in July, including a built in refrigerator and freezer, a six-burner stove top, a double oven, a warming tray, a dishwasher and a microwave oven. Three service calls to fix unbalanced ice drawer in freezer. Three service calls regarding the dishwasher which is not yet repaired. I am awaiting a part for the refrigerator, which is leaking onto a brand new floor and brand new wood cabinets. Viking is stating that that part is on back order and they have no information as to how long it will take to get it.

Im a contractor and Ive put in appliances a few different times. I also put them in the last house that we remodeled. On that one, we went all commercial-type appliances and I had lots of problems with those. Unfortunately, the refrigerator went out three different times. And the installation of the dishwasher was crazy. Ive installed probably a couple of hundred dishwashers before but for that particular dishwasher, I had to do some modifications and stuff on it to get the water in. If Im not mistaken, these dishwashers are made overseas. But the only frustrating thing that weve really had with the appliances has been the microwave. The LED lights have gone out. And the same is for the dishwasher. So the repair person who came out ordered new panels for both. He said it may take up to a month to get the parts. But so far, weve been really happy with the oven for the price that we got it for. The other one was about $8000 and it was 48-inch range. But now this one, its a cheaper designer line. And the service has been good with it. Its not the dual fuel. Its all gas and its cooking great.

I thought Viking was a good and well-made product so I picked it over others. The reps in the store were great. They were very knowledgeable. I love that the shelves roll out but I don’t think the heat’s accurate. I had to keep another thermometer inside as I cook. The overall experience was pleasant but the range is just okay, not great.
