Product Reviews:

No problems with my microwave. It is fast and strong and works well. This is my first Panasonic product, but I would not hesitate to purchase another one, when I need to. It is compact and looks clean on my counter.

This is my first DACOR product. Did not know too much about the brand. Did some research and read reviews online & decided to try a microwave in a drawer since I needed to save counter space. We use it all the time and so far it’s worked great. The color blends well in our kitchen even with the microwave being the only DACOR we have. DACOR customer service has been great and professional when I needed to register the unit. I would recommend the DACOR brand to anyone when they are looking for a premium appliance and anyone who comes to my home comments about how lovely it is. Thanks DACOR.

I purchased a Whirlpool microwave model #WHM3205XVS1 on October 2, 2011. The handle broke off in little pieces and was repaired in March 2012. Handle broke off again in little pieces in September 2012. This will be the 3rd handle that will continue to break in little pieces every 6 months. According to both repair men that were here, this is their comment: "No customer abuse, this is a very common problem with this model." After to speaking to 3 people at Whirlpool, I was told by everyone, "This is cosmetic problem and we will not fix after the 1 year manufacturer's warranty is up." I started with the the first person, went to her supervisor, then went to her supervisor. I am now waiting for a call from a manager although I was told I will continue to get the same answer no matter how far up the chain of command I go. So, I was told that it is okay to have 2 screws sticking out holding the remaining part of the handle that is left, because it is a cosmetic, not a functional problem. I will never stop with Whirlpool. I will call 4 times a day if necessary. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product again! I will tell everyone I know not to purchase one of their products. Be careful. They manufacture products for many other companies, i.e., Sears, Amana, Jenn-Air, and many, many more.

Our GE microwave is used primarily for heating things though sometimes something is actually cooked in it. It is a useful tool and saves time and labor. I would rather have one than not.

Most microwaves I've tried are pretty similar in performance, except in the case of cooking microwave popcorn. Most are horrible with their preset popcorn button. However, the more expensive GE model that I bought from Lowe's has done the best in that area. And, it is one of the better looking models also. I prefer the stainless ones.

I like that I can heat or thaw anything in my microwave. Using it was very simple and I love that I didn't need any help to use it and love the way it has easy to use instructions and love the color. I love all the features mine has and it works great. And my family loves it also.

I bought a GE PEB7227 Profile Microwave and after 6 months the door latch breaks. Service tech comes and says, "Sorry parts are back ordered for 3 months (including new frame due to damage done to it getting the thing open)." I call GE "customer care". Explain that it's obviously cheaper to drop ship me a new unit (and I will waive the new frame) than all of the parts, frame and a second call to fix the unit. Their answer, buy a new unit at a discount or simply go without a microwave for 3 months. Add me to the list of victims trying to warn others to NEVER buy a GE product.

I purchased a new home and bought the extended warranty from Electrolux for the appliances. Within the first year, my microwave broke 4 times. On the final time, I was told the microwave would be replaced. My microwave broke over 3 weeks ago, and initially customer service said someone would get back to me within 5 business days to approve the replacement. When I didn’t hear anything for 10 business days, I called them back. I was then told to give them another 3 business days. When I didn’t hear back AGAIN, I called them and was told that these things (meaning replacing my microwave) takes time and I should be patient, and that I could possibly be without a microwave for 2 months. Does that sound acceptable?? What modern home can go without a major appliance for that long? Their customer did not care. I spoke to a supervisor who was not helpful and kept repeating the same phrase, “I understand your frustration.” However he was not offering any solutions to my problem. He did, however, tell me that if they had to ship my microwave then I am financially responsible for the shipping and installation. If you are reading this before you purchase an Electrolux or Frigidaire appliance (Electrolux provides the extended warranty) please DON’T purchase. If you have an issue with your appliance then you will regret you spent the money. Their customer service and appliances are horrible. BUYER BEWARE!

I bought a Samsung Over-The-Range Microwave from Lowe's in February 2010. I just found out I need the keypad replaced. The warranty ran out in February. I called Samsung and they said there is nothing they can do because the warranty has expired. They have already been out once while the microwave was still under warranty. The cost of the repair is about $260. I tried to explain to them that even though the microwave is no longer under warranty, I would think a $400 microwave would last longer than 18 months. She said I am eligible for a new one if they have to fix the same issue twice within a year. That doesn't really matter to me since I would have to pay to have it fixed twice. She didn't understand this concept and could not get past the fact that the warranty had expired. Now I have 2 options: get it fixed or buy a new one. I would just like for a company for once to stand behind their product. I don't think an 18 month life expectancy is what they had in mind. Especially since the last "cheap" microwave I had lasted 15 years without incident.

Purchased new microwave (KMHS120ESS-2) in April 2016. Heating element failed in March 2017 and was repaired under warranty. Heating element failed again in May 2017. Element was under warranty but labor (greater cost of the two) was not. Believe problem not the element but something else that triggers the failure. Consumer beware of both poor quality of product and failure of the company to properly diagnose the root cause of the problem.
