Can you put aluminum foil in the oven

Last night I turned off our Viking Range Oven and it wouldn't turn OFF!! Temperature was up to over 500'degrees before we finally turned off the gas supply!! Called Viking this morning and they basically said my stove was out of warranty and gave me the number of a service company in the next state.

In 2002, we had a new home built and purchased all new Kenmore Appliances. That was a huge mistake. The range almost burned our home down. When the oven got stuck on high and won't shut off, I had to throw the breaker as the oven was too hot to touch. That was a couple of years ago. Sears wouldn't do anything for me. Let's see the Kenmore dishwasher as it had two motors and three thermal fuses replaced. The microwave door is cracking all the way up the handle for no reason. The fridge drawers have broken twice. No wonder Sears is just about out of business.

I bought the stove at Sears 2 years ago. 1 month later I had to replaced the control panel 100.00 dollars. 6 month later I had to replace a burner switch, burned out. And now my oven is out and I noticed that I have to replace the panel and all the wiring again. No thanks, I guess no oven until I CAN AFFORD A NEW ONE.

LG REFRIGERATOR MODEL: GSJ761PZXV. I have purchased the above LG refrigerator from LG in May 2019, and I figured out that LG technology has far exceeded their current capability. This refrigerator has a space shuttle technology. Back in January the sensor malfunction and it makes beeping sound every few minutes for 24/7 non stop. Reported to LG and arrange for the technician to come over to fix, however on the 1st visit unable to fix it and need to order the parts and arrange for next appointment in Feb but during this time the appointment has been rescheduled due to parts did not arrive. Then the technician came and find out the LG has sent him the wrong parts and need to arrange for another appointment and wait for the parts to arrive. Yesterday (9 April) the technician informed us that he has received the wrong parts from LG again and need to reschedule the appointment.Very very disappointed with LG, they only know how to manufacture refrigerators but don't know how to fix it, they have no knowledge about their product, (got the model no.) and still cannot figure out the correct parts to fix the problem. Customer service will put you through different people over the phone but with no solution. This beeping sound has been going on non stop 24/7 for 4 months. Would some from LG have an answer to it. I THINK I HAVE TO WRITE TO LG IN KOREA TO SEND AN ENGINEER FROM KOREA TO FIX MY REFRIGERATOR.

I purchased a new Whirlpool stove in Feb 2020. First off the oven was not calibrated right and Whirlpool wanted us to do all these tests to see what the problem was. Finally, after purchasing an oven thermometer I finally got my ducks in a row and called them back to which they finally sent out a repairman. Now after almost finishing supper last night the whole cooktop stopped working. It is going to take a week to get someone out to fix it. Also, we have to purchase an extended warranty for our Whirlpool refrigerator every year because it always needs something fixed. Our Whirlpool washer has been on the blink for quite some time (no warranty) and can't afford to get it fixed. When talking to someone at Whirlpool it appears they have no compassion. I guess it is because they are just paid employees. My recommendation is to look into other products before purchasing. Do your homework.

My husband and I purchased an LG appliance package in April 2016 after I did careful research on the products that were available at the time. We got a fridge, microwave and gas range. The first problem that we had was our fridge. The compressor went out about three years in which LG fixed. Next up, about a year ago, our ice maker just stopped working. Around that same time, I heard a very loud pop in our microwave and that stopped working.I had a tech come out to take a look and it was the entire control panel which was nearly the same amount the microwave cost in order to fix it which we ended doing. I didn't want to get another brand because this microwave has a special vent that goes above my range. The tech also looked at the refrigerator ice maker and mentioned that we may need to replace the door which is a common problem apparently. Unfortunately that is too pricey for the time being so now I have no icemaker.Until yesterday, I've been happy with my LG Gas Range... I started getting an F9 error which means the oven isn't heating correctly. Tonight I was making dinner and the oven turned on as usual and said it was preheated. I started cooking and opened the oven to check my food. Low and behold, the oven is barely hot. I check the oven temp and it's 205 even though the temp says 400. Sounds like another problem that is going to cost me hundreds of dollars to repair. I've only had this appliance package for 5 years. It is so disappointing to have a problem with everything I've purchased from LG. I've been making sure to tell all of my friends and family to avoid LG because of all the problems I've had. The only appliance I have in my kitchen that hasn't had any issues is my dishwasher but that's a Bosch. I'm glad I didn't get one from LG. Although the LG appliance look beautiful, please avoid them because right now I'm trying to plan meals without the use of my oven until I can get it fixed. What a disappointment.

We purchased a home which has a Viking Dual Fuel Self-Clean range. The previous owner rarely cooked, so the range should have been "like new." My wife's hobby is cooking. The oven temp. was never correct. The self cleaning worked only once. The second time we tried to use it the heat never came on and the door locked. Now the door lock continues to lock and unlock making it impossible to use the oven (this continues to cycle even though everything on the range is off???). Thanks for the heads up in your long list of complaints. We will save enough on service calls to buy a quality product. This expensive, useless, paperweight is going to the curb.

Have gone thru 4 repairs for the main board and temp probe in one year. For Amana aer6303mfs1 model glass top range. Now it's out of warranty and it's messing up again. Gives an f3 o3 error code and the oven won't go above 275 degrees. Will never buy from them again. Bought at Home Depot.

We've seen Viking Ranges installed in other people's homes. Prior to purchasing from them, I did a little bit of shopping at Thermador, but my wife had her heart set on the Viking Range. I purchased it through Appliances Connection online, which was very simple. I talked to them and they shipped it to me well-informed of all the delivery dates. It was a pleasant experience dealing with them and arranging for shipment and delivery. We got the whole package with the range and the vent hood and an external ventilator. However, I'm seeing some issues with it and I'm not really pleased with some things on it. The stove's leveled but the griddle isn't. It's made crooked and the oil runs off one side and immediately dump it into the catch pan. Then we had a Viking service man come out because the main door won't stay closed. When bumped, it pops open and turns the light on and shuts the oven off.My wife said that the oven works well. She loves all the features of the convection and its temperature control. She's also very happy with the burners, though it has a large diameter. Maybe I should’ve got the Series 7 instead of the Series 5 because of the size of the burners. All in all, it's not quite perfect for me, but my wife loves it and she thinks it's perfect.

My thermostat went out in my larger oven and I struggled to get it fixed as the self-cleaning feature was based on a mercury-based system and that was determined illegal prior to my range malfunction. So, no one initially wanted to help me in Customer Service. My original guy was super rude. My local contractor was frustrated as the parts sent were wrong two times.Ironically, after Mister rude customer service man and a follow up call by me, I got a lot of support from Thermador as I guess they do listen to the customer service calls. My contact at Thermador alleviated the cost of the new thermostat that was legal without mercury. Yes, I gave up my self-cleaning forever, a bummer. My local contractor came out several times to get it right. I wasn't the nicest about it as I was so frustrated to spend around $8000 for an appliance and hood and just 9 years in, they said it was obsolete and had no warranty. End of the day, in 2011, after the repair before Thanksgiving, it didn't get to temperature again. Turkey was ruined. The local service came and did one more fix after reconnecting with Thermador and discovered they sent the wrong repair information, final repair was in December 2011. Ever since then, cooking is going great. Knowing I could put in my turkey last Thursday and knowing it would be perfect, which it was, was awesome. I feel like I got my 75% of original purchase back(!) less the self-cleaning. Thanks for monitoring mean customer service reps and being pro active! Please forward this to my local repair company. I think it was All-Service in Bellevue. Thanks.
