I purchased the Samsung RF263BEAESR. I purchased in 2012. A year ago the ice machine began freezing to the point where the machine would not make ice. Now the motor is making a loud noise. It keeps me up at night and its began a week ago. I called Samsung customer service and they were so nasty. It left me with such a bad impression. I spent $3000 on a refrigerator and just 3 years later its giving my family problems. I dont have the money to purchase another refrigerator and I think its just not fair. Samsung should care about their customers and fix the problems people are having with these refrigerator. These products should last me at least 8 years problem free!

If a 0 was available for rating I would rate Samsung with a 0... Never again will they have my business. I purchased my Range glasstop NE59J3420SS at Home Depot on April 2016. Not even a week I was cooking and heard a loud pop noise and removed my pot and saw that the glass was cracked. I immediately called Samsung and the conversation started nicely and was under the impression that they would fix it since the agent told me they would. I send pictures of the damage and of receipt of purchase. They told me they would call me... Never received a call from them. So I called a week later to see what was going on and they had closed my case because no pictures were received they said, which is bs. New agent created a new case number and had to resent everything. She said I had to wait for 3 days and they would call me with an appt sent up for a technician to come and look at it. Again never received a call so called them... They gave me the appt for the technician to come and thought he was gonna fix it. Instead he left with no answers to my questions so called Samsung back and they kept saying they would fix it. Waited and waited and waited and nothing from them. Called again to see what was going on and said again they would send a new technician to look at it. Dont know why. They already seen pictures. But the new technician that came was checking our oven which our oven was working and told him it was the cracked top not the oven and again left with no answers. I called them and said they would call me back. Again they never did. After weeks of waiting for their call I called them back and said it was physical damage and would not be covered. Wtf... Not even a ** week with it and still fully under warranty and they wouldnt fix it. This company is really a ** joke. I was calling them constantly for over 5 months to get this fixed for them to tell me at last that they would not fix it. Very disappointed and frustrated process to go thru with this company. Never ever again will be buying from them. And to make it worst Im still paying Home Depot for this???? PLEASE BE AWARE!!!

After purchasing all new matching appliances refrigerator, stove, microwave
After purchasing all new matching appliances refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher 2 yrs ago, the Refrigerator stopped making ice after a couple months of owning. Plus its the noisiest refrigerator, ever. Service rep. came in and defrosted it, and it began making ice again. Ice is always soft and water drips inside the lower compartment. Several calls for service rep, with same repair results, defrost. The week the warranty expired, same issue. Called manufacturer. Asked if there was a recall on the refrigerator. They said no. Unbelievable, poor engineering, there should have been. They offered a free repair service, with replacement of ice maker. Well completed job. Ice is a bit more solid, but ice maker still froze up within three months of replacement, sad. I will never buy another Samsung product. Very poor customer service too. Sold all appliances for a loss. Bought all new GE Appliances. Still Made In USA. Better warranty. They look and work great.

I bought the refrigerator almost 2 years ago and about 6 months ago this problem started. Doing research and talked with a repair guy to see what the problem is, I took it apart on the inside and found frozen ice plugging the hole. Put hot water and melted the ice. I have done this twice and thought I fixed it, but the water continues to return. I have never bought this kind of fridge before. It looks nice but not a good appliance. The water continues to collect in crisper drawer and underneath.

Samsung informed a company called USSI to repair my fridge. USSI charged me $129.00 to have someone come out to diagnose the problem. They then charged me $438.09 for parts and labor. Nobody ever came back to fix the fridge. Kept getting a runaround from the technician and the company. Nobody had the courtesy to call me and tell me whats going on. Also, Samsung was of no help. They kept giving me the standard Im sorry youre having a problem. Had to get a local repair company to fix my fridge.

I have had an SE error code for 3 years and also lighting and fan would come on at random while we were sitting on the couch and got so bad we had to unplug it before we left the house. I called Samsung and they sent out a repairman who said it was under a recall and replaced the touch pad which didnt fix it and left with a new keypad installed and doing the same EXACT thing! They came out again to replace the touch pad and he said it was not the touch pad on mine causing the SE error and other problems, it was the circuit main board that they unscrew and reuse on the new keypad. The repairman wanted over $200 to order and come back out and replace to fix the SE error code and lighting and fan issue. I declined the repair because I wasnt sinking another $200 in a $400 Microwave and immediately called Samsung and informed them that the keypad was NOT the part going bad from stove top grease on ALL microwaves, that it is also the circuit board. And the Supervisor said that Samsung would not cover that part because only the keypad is covered. Look folks, I worked at a name brand new car dealership as a technician and I will tell you.... ANY part that is causing the problem with the recall is covered so that the check engine light, etc is resolved and the customer goes away happy. Samsung told me when I told them they were about to lose a customer over this that they are sorry to lose me but they wont fix the recall unless its the EXACT part that lets say 10,000 microwaves have over 100 microwaves have being this electronic main board! I am very very upset over this and do not understand why they will install a part in someones microwave that wont fix the recall. Now the microwave stays on when you open the door so I guess a lawsuit is going to be coming from someone over this.

Purchased the Samsung Waterwall Dishwasher in June 2014. Brand new technology - $900 worth! Pffff!! Within 6 months, had to have a repairman out because of an error saying there was a problem with an O ring in the water pump. Within 12 months, they were out again for the same issue - TWICE! Finally replaced it on their 3rd trip. 12 months after that (2 days ago) got the 7E error, telling me the waterwall was being blocked and couldnt move. Nothing blocking the waterwall and it is just stuck. Repairman coming AGAIN tomorrow to check. My extended warranty through Lowes is up in June 2019. I WILL be buying yet another brand dishwasher when that happens. I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance. They should stick to phones only!

I bought a Samsung Range NE59J3420SS/AA from Sears November 23, 2015 the day before Thanksgiving. Since then I have had problems with the product. First the discoloration of the cooktop is awful. I called Samsung and was told that was normal and that the range was fine. Well the steam cleaning feature will not work and I called Sears. They refused to fix it nor service it - 1800-726-7864. They had a more hands off and referred me to 1800-726-7864. The CSR that I spoke with implied that I was unintelligent and could not read, and I could not follow simple directions. I told her that I followed the directions given in the manual and that I wanted a technician and to speak to her supervisor. Well he got on the line and hung up on me.I ended up going online to get a service call done and a ticket # and also be informed that the service call will cost me for the tech to come out. Currently I was purchasing a new refrigerator from Conns. I will calling in a few minutes and putting that on hold and changing that product. I also have a lot of Samsung products in my home - washer, dryer, televisions, and three cell phones and I am dreading if something else breaks. IF you are considering any appliances from Samsung I am telling you their service department is awful, rude, obnoxious and callous. Beware of the products you purchase from them be sure that the merchant tells you about the warranty and if they offer additional in house warranty seems to me the best bet.

My elderly mother bought a Samsung refrigerator, microwave and stove and they worked well for at least the first year. Since then, the handles on both the microwave and freezer door of the refrigerator have both broken off (my mother is in her 70s and not very strong) and it has cost her literally hundreds of dollars to have servicemen come and fix them because the warranty was no longer valid. She has spent more money trying to fix them than they were worth when she bought them!!! She is now having trouble with her stove, a stove which offers a divider so that one doesnt have to heat up the entire stove just a small portion of it (given that she is generally only cooking for herself). Well, guess what, the stove blew and the only way to get it to work is to remove the divider (the very reason she bought that stove) and Samsung will do nothing about it. These are products that should last AT LEAST ten years before any problems occur. Worst customer service, worst products. Worst of all, I recommended them to my elderly mother! So infuriated!

I purchased a Samsung French door in Aug. 2015 from PC Richard with extended warranty for 15 years. I noticed frozen crisper bins in Nov. 2017 and contacted PC Richard. After five days, two servicemen showed up for a scheduled repair. They then stated the kit was ordered and I have to wait 3-5 business days. I read online the kit can be purchased the same day. This problem with Samsung is rampant. The servicemen then stated the newer refrigerators do not have the problem. Then my question is: Why would Samsung sell a product knowing there is a defect? My family had the same problem with their Samsung refrigerator.

5E code came up. I watched several videos and read several instructions for accessing the control panel on 9207 Samsung microwaves, but the instructions are for control panels located on the main chassis, not on the bottom of the door where it is on an actual 9207. There seems no way of getting into the door to the control panel without cracking the seal on the glass or damaging the stainless steel guard that runs along the bottom front of the door. Any thoughts, any theories? I hope that the pictures help some. In #4 you can see that there were two silver tabs on the leading edge of the door for the front bottom steel strip to hook onto, but pulling those tabs didnt release the strip to gain access to the control panel.

Two years ago I purchased a Samsung Side by Side refrigerator RS5267TDWP. The refrigerator portion stopped cooling. I had to throw all my food out. I had purchased the extended warranty. The repairman came out and determined what the problem was. One of the parts I needed was an Evaporator cover. The part number given to the repairman did not match what was in my refrigerator. Samsung insisted it was the right part. They had no other options. So Samsung cant remember or look up what parts they used in their refrigerators two years ago. So here I sit with no refrigerator. All the comments about the ice maker are spot on. The ice cubes freeze in the chute. Whoever designed the ice maker was a sadist. Never buy a Samsung refrigerator. My last refrigerator made by Amana lasted 14 years at half the cost.

Had the Samsung refrigerator a little over a year and the ice maker stopped working. Called customer service who ran me through 15 minutes of tests then said a technician would call within 48 hours to come out and repair the fridge. Two days later after not getting a call, I called Samsung again and was informed that the service provider will call me. Samsung tried calling and no luck left message. I was then instructed to run through the same 15 minutes of tests and told (once again) a technician would call within 48 hours. No one has showed up so I called Samsung back again to find out there is only one AUTHORIZED company in the area SA Display. So now I have escalated this because I cant get my ice maker fixed. By reading everyones reviews there is an obvious issue with this model number. So I am still waiting on someone from the escalation department to call me back on how they are going to service this ice maker issue. So not only have I waited 2 weeks to resolution I now have to wait ANOTHER 48 hours for a technician to call me. As of the time of this review my freezer is still broken, there is no set time for the technician to come out and I have wasted my time on the phone with this horrible, incompetent company. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product again and can honestly say this is one of the WORST companies I have ever dealt with. Customer service is horrible. NEVER again. Buy American, people!!! I purchased a Samsung side by side refrigerator in July 2013. I didnt have any problems with the unit initially. Well as soon as the one year warranty expired the fan started making a loud weird sound. The noise got louder and louder, evidently the refrigerator wasnt cooling. I call Samsungs crappy customer service and they insisted on walking me through a step by step problem solving. I was so frustrated with them. I assured them that everything imaginable just short of throwing it out the back door was done trying to find out what was wrong. Of course, they made sure to inform me that the unit was no longer under warranty and Id have to pay for any repairs, but a technician wouldnt be available until January 7, 2015. I called on December 20, 2015. I was furious and expressed that with the person on the other line, but she didnt seem to care. The refrigerator still isnt cooling. On the evening of 1-15-16 we noticed our refrigerated items did not seem cool. Since this was a Friday evening we called first thing on Saturday morning. After waiting an hour on hold and then getting a call center in another country, or at least someone who spoke very broken English, we were given a local repair center to call... of course being the weekend and Monday a Holiday we had to wait until Tuesday. The repair center came out and had to order parts. On 1-27-16 the repair center came out with new boards and a compressor. The poor guy worked on this thing for over 5 hours and was not able to repair it. He was in contact with Samsung on the phone and after the repair guy took pictures and gave Samsung everything they needed he left and said he would follow up in the morning. The repair center did follow up with us and said we had been authorized to receive a new unit since the one we had could not be repaired. We were given an authorization number and told Samsung would call in 12-24 hours to set this up with us. 24 hours later... you guessed it. They never called. I called Samsung since they never called us. Again I am speaking with someone who is not familiar with the English language. They have no clue what we are talking about and transferred me all over the place. The last person I spoke to insisted that I mail in the receipt to them so they could authorize this trade. Are you kidding me!!! I already got an authorization to have this exchanged and am just trying to set up a pick-up delivery time. Well I got an email and have now emailed them my receipt. I was now told it could take up to a week for Samsung to contact me and authorize this. This is my 18th day with NO refrigerator and I will be lucky if they ever call me back to set this up. I guess by then it will be close to a month with no Fridge. DO NOT EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY... EVER!

In May, 2016 we purchased a Samsung Microwave Model # ME16H702SES/A... and the rest of the number is not visible due to the fire which burned off the serial number and part of the model number. I suspect the fire started due to electrical arcing between the microwave housing and the door, because I had that on another model six years ago, and the arcing started while the unit was not being used. The fire started in October 2016 and we contacted Home Depot Canada, the vendor. They took the information and said someone from Samsung would be coming to look at the damage and by the middle of November 2016 no one had come. We called Home Depot again and they told us to contact Samsung Canada for help. We did so, and on December 2, 2016 we received an email from Meyson **, asking us for a copy of the store receipt and photographs of the damaged area. On December 14 I sent the photographs, also asking him to confirm the receipt of the information. He replied the same day stating he had not received the photographs, I sent them again the same day, both times I sent them, there was no negative feedback from the email system, and this indicates the emails had gone through. On December 23 I had not received a reply from Meyson ** so I emailed him again indicating the length of time it was taking to acknowledge and repair this product, and heard nothing from him.December 27, I called the Samsung Canada Specialty Group (where Meyson ** works) and he wasnt available so we described the problem to another support person, they said in order to help us they required an order number. Obviously they didnt know the difference between an order number and a ticket number. After 30-35 minutes on the phone with a few individuals, it was useless going forward. We called Home Depot again asking for the appliance rep in the store where we purchased the unit and he was on vacation. At this point there is little use in pursuing this through the Customer Support area so we will file an incident with the Better Business Bureau and the CSA Group since we have had more success with the CSA in the past than the vendor.

When we moved from a townhouse to a condo we purchased all new appliances, one of which was a Samsung induction range. The range was delivered in August 2016 and we finally had it removed in December 2016. Over that time we had to have three on site repair visits and would have had to have a fourth if the unit had not been removed. The stove top worked fine until one day we heard a loud pop and a fuse blew. Two of the burners had to be replaced. The oven was a disaster. It did not work more often than it actually worked. Most often what would happen is that we would put something in the oven and then the control panel at the front of the stove would stop working. No amount of touching of buttons would make the thing work.We ended up throwing out more food than we actually were able to cook. Samsung service is terrible. They insist on starting any conversation with a web chat. Then you need to call an 800 number to get a repair scheduled. Then you need to work with the repair company. Everyone points fingers at everyone else. Finally we had to get the store that we purchased the unit from to work with the Samsung rep who finally agreed to replace the unit (with another brand). I would not recommend a Samsung range.

My husband and I purchased a white Samsung French door refrigerator (RF26XAEWP) about four years ago. Recently we are noticing that the porcelain beneath the water/ice dispenser has begun to rust. When I contacted Samsung customer service, I was told that the warranty had expired and that this was cosmetic damage and we would be responsible for the repair. I was given the phone number for the Samsung Repair Service for my area and that was it. When I expressed concern that this refrigerator was rusting after such a short period of time and that possibly the porcelain coating was improperly or inadequately applied, I was told there was nothing they could do as the appliance was no longer under warranty. So now I am going to have to pay $502.90 to replace the door. Apparently it is of no concern to them that I have to pay this, given the fact that we feel the problem was inadequate porcelain coverage in the first place. After 47 years of marriage and many refrigerator purchases (various brands), we have never experienced rust on the refrigerator. That being said, we will fix this appliance as we cannot afford to purchase a new refrigerator, but we will never purchase another Samsung appliance again. This refrigerator was purchased at Lowes in Kissimmee.

I bought a Samsung mirror-finished two-door fridge at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2007, in Geant Store Khuraise. My kids phoned me that it is not getting cold. I said to them, they must switch it off as it might burn them. It never made some ice. It was installed by Nirvana Ageng Samsung Polopkoane. I told them the same agent came and open my fridge, and he said it is the compressor. I must wait so that they can check if it is still under warranty. They never came back.We kept on calling him, but no answer. I went to Bokstreet Samsung branch. They said it is not under warranty. If it never makes some ice, they will fix it, but I will pay all costs+transportation. Now it is about 3 years. I reported it to South Africa, and Riyadh , Saudi Arabia. I need my money back or a new fridge. I will give you up to the end of this month. I will go to LG. I paid a lot of money for that fridge. I have already sent my complaint to consumer lawyers.

If you are expecting this oven to have two separate single ovens, you are terribly wrong. When we bake something in upper single oven the left side of the tray baked perfectly while the right side had raw dough. Of course we contacted to customer service and they promptly responded and send in a tech. The tech stated upper single oven will not bake unless you take the separator out and use whole thing upper and lower single ovens as whole one, despite the product sold and stated that it could be used as 2 single ovens. We called customer service again and after 4 complain tickets and 3 tech visits we learned that we paid 350 additional dollars for the good looks of lame product. This product CANNOT BE USED AS TWO SINGLE OVENS. You cannot use only upper single oven to bake. Last tech even stated on the ticket that, as customer we refused the repair after we lost 3 days of work to meet with theses hopeless people of Samsung techs. Not to mention they seriously check if the electrical power supply is good with voltage and amps on gas oven. They question my wife if she has a clue about the convection oven. Yah! Two different counties certified her as restaurant manager for fun and she ain’t been in restaurant industry in last 20 years. Also to the credit of Samsung they have great 1 year manufacturer’s warranty but unfortunately it starts from the date product manufactured. So if you purchase an oven & stove in Dec 2018 and that unit is manufactured Feb 2018, your one year manufacturer’s warranty expires on Feb 2019 so enjoy your 2 months worth of one year warranty. We have Samsung TV, Home Theater System, Refrigerator, 3 Samsung smart phones and this oven. I can proudly say this is the LAST product I purchased from Samsung. I dont want to see the word Samsung in my house anymore. Now if you are planning to purchase this duo oven I would suggest you to buy yourself a dutch oven and a ton of firewood, at least you can enjoy great outdoors with real fire and may have some good smores cooked evenly. That will be a lot more satisfying than losing tremendous time and effort try to explain people that their product is not doing what it supposed to while they were trying to achieve a different result with sending 3 techs to same issue. I am done with Samsung brand. Good luck to you.

Never purchase a Samsung Range!!! - Ours broke a week after we had it. - Was repaired and since then it has broke 5 more time. Each time it was repaired except the current breakdown that has the range out of service for 10 days so far and no call backs from SEARS Service Department despite repeated calls with our new claim number. We have 8 months left on the extended warranty and are looking at replacing the range after just having it for under 3 years as this range is very poor quality - Samsung should stick to making TVs. Very disappointed in the service from Samsung and SEARS where we purchased this unit from.

We bought the over-the-range oven, Samsung model# SMH9187ST in May 2010. In June 2011, the error code - SE - appeared on the display. Tried to unplug/restart. That worked for a couple of times. Called to Samsung customer service, that told me that nothing can be done, since the 1 year of warranty has expired, but we can pay out of pocket to get it serviced. Naturally, we refused, since it would make more financial sense to buy a new oven, than to service an old one that would get broken in another year or so. Samsung doesnt stand for its products. Its a fairly simple kitchen appliance to be broken after 1 year of use. Would be very reluctant to buy another Samsung product, again. For the past 2 years, its been used as the over-the-range night light.

We bought the 345 Ltr RT 35 refrigerator in May 2010 in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. It was working well till May 2015. After which the lower door was not getting closed properly and defrost was not functional. After noting the problem, it was reported to the concerned authority and customer care number provided by Samsung in month of June. We were told to change the position, restart the refrigerator, which did not help. After persistent problem, it was again reported to customer care on 19th Sept. Again the executive told us to lift the lower door, but nobody visited our place. After repeated complaints, one of the technical person came to our place, changed the IC and told us that Your defrosting problem is solved, but door problem cannot be solved as the refrigerator purchase date is more than 5 years old. After pursuing the problem with customer care, we were told that the parts are not available and nothing can be done as company has stopped the production of said model. We have made several calls to customer care but the only answer we could get was, Sorry, we dont have the parts. Had it been before 5 years of date of purchase, we would have got the parts and not now after 5 years and 1 month; and now another version has come up from local dealer saying, It was the last piece of the lot. It was not told to us during purchase and now we are facing problems with the refrigerator, which are still unsolved and may not get solved considering the answers we are getting from customer care. Pathetic way of solving problems for a common man, who may have to put large part of his fortune into buying another refrigerator, which wont be Samsung anymore.

I am writing this just so other consumers can make an informed decision. I bought this french door refrigerator at a cost of over 1500 dollars Cdn (28.5 inch) expecting a fridge for at least five to ten years... Within a year the bottom shelf cracked and crispers couldnt be used. Within the next year two of the shelves in door cracked and are useless. Replacement costs are prohibitive. The plastic fittings are literally falling apart and not warrantied. I have an expensive fridge that requires duct tape to keep shelving together. Did I get a lemon? Dont know but at two years old, the fridge looks like a write-off.

We bought our Samsung refrigerator in Feb. 2013. Ice maker has never worked. I called Samsung and went through the trouble shoot steps twice. It never worked. The second technician I talked to said the first one didnt know what he was talking about. I called them again; they sent out a technician. They had to send them out of course while we were both at work. My husband took off to be able to meet him there. He called and said he wasnt going to be able to make it and told me to tell my husband to go back to work. I called his dispatcher; he came out anyway. He told my husband to be sure and buy the extended warranty! WHY DIDNT WE LISTEN? We had to replace the ice maker. Mind you it was a brand new $1,400 refrigerator, and the ice maker never worked! Now the flap on the front of the door where the ice comes out will not close, and air gets up into the ice maker and it freezes then wont come out of the door. So we have to manually shut the flap so ice wont freeze. I called Samsung again. They are sending a technician from some place I have never heard of and of course, one of us has to take off work again to have our brand new refrigerator fixed! I will never again buy another Samsung product and will let everyone know about my bad experience with Samsung. Why didnt I read this page before buying a Samsung product!

Appalled by the way Samsung and Lowe’s have treated me. My brand-new Samsung electric range did not work properly from day one! After multiple calls speaking with agents who attempted to have ME fix the issues while they were on the phone, Samsung reluctantly sent a service repairman to my home. C & E Appliances sent someone who admitted they knew Nothing, about cooking. The first thing he did was blame me for buying a stove which offered the rapid boiling option! Secondly, he snidely stated, I bet you never read the manual to your stove. Both statements were untrue! I bought this stove as part of an appliance package. I purchased them for various reasons, but NOT one included rapid boiling. I have read the manual many, many times and worked with Samsung employees to fix the issues. The repairman explained that other people were having similar issues with baking; especially bread and cakes. He stated he didnt know anything about baking. He also told me he didnt know anything about simmering! According to the stove’s manual simmering occurs when your knob is placed on Low. (See pg. 35) My stove will not simmer, and my oven does not bake evenly. Since the repairman did not know why I needed to simmer I explained a few things about some of my favorite recipes. Most of them require simmering at a specific temperature. “Simmering cooks the food gently and slowly, allowing it to maintain its structure in ways that are impossible with boiling.”C & E’s repairman advised me to preheat my oven for an extra 15 minutes prior to baking. He also said I should bring my rice to a boil on one burner, transfer the pot to another burner and turn the knob below the Low setting to simmer. I have lots of photos to prove his advice did NOT work. Samsung drew my complaints out with self-help fixes which did not work. Soon after the first serviceman left Samsungs 1-year warranty expired. Based on the recommendation of Lowes salesperson, I had purchased a 5-year extended warranty, which turned out to be worthless. Lowes sent me the exact same man to look at my stove! The warranty clearly states if Lowe’s or Samsung can’t fix it they will replace it. I have taken this matter as far as any of your companies’ phone systems will allow. Promises from those claiming to be corporate managers have been broken.A 2nd repairman came out to investigate. He checked the brand-new pots I had purchased for my brand-new stove and they were fine. He had absolutely no idea what was wrong and suggested I use the back burners to simmer, or the warming center. Neither is possible. The smaller burners in the back are not large enough to simmer soups, stews, sauces or rice. According to the manual, and common sense, the pot or “Pan should not hang over the element by more than one-half inch.” (See pg. 37.) The temperature on the small warming center is not high enough to simmer, nor is the element big enough to accommodate a larger size pan. (See pg. 50.) I made a formal complaint to the BBB concerning C & E Appliance. Preparing a formal complaint to BBB for Lowes and Samsung.

SAMSUNG BUYER BEWARE - Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator!! We have had nothing but trouble since we bought ours (model #RF263BEAESR) a few years ago. Usually people that right good reviews have only had their refrigerator for a month or two. Ours worked well for the first year and then the trouble began. The icemaker broke first (it costs four to five hundred dollars to replace it) and then the defrost sensor broke (two hundred and fifty dollars to replace it). Now they say maybe its the fan - its never ending. Its a very pretty refrigerator but thats about it. There is a class action lawsuit on the ice maker and the fan and defrost sensor will soon follow. We have had Samsung certified repairmen out six times and one of the repairmen said that there is a design flaw on the refrigerator and that we should expect to keep having someone out to put a band aide on the problem.Samsung knows there is a design problem and they will do nothing to fix it. When we call Samsung they go through their written script and are worthless. We have escalated the matter and they always tell us that they will review our claims and get back to us in three to five days. They never call back. When we call them back they conveniently disconnect our call or they tell us that they cant hear us and they hang up. The Samsung call center is in the Dominican Republic. I felt I had to warn others before they made the same mistake we did in buying this horrible refrigerator. Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator, you will regret it if you do!

WOW - 25 bad reviews in just the past two weeks!! My story is ditto, ditto and ditto. My 2 and 1/2 year old RF261B fridge floods in and under the crisper with such regularity that I now schedule it to be swabbed out on the first of every month! In addition the handle fell off after only a year (and its only myself and my husband in the household so its not like its being abused). Fortunately, he is handy and was able to repair it.The latest problem is that the water dispenser - a feature I love - is now starting to stick intermittently and sometimes cannot be depressed by pushing the glass against the dispenser button, but rather I have to use my finger to depress it in order for it to work. We have always taken good care of our belongings. Our old General Electric fridge was still working great after 24 years when we decided to get a more energy efficient, modern-looking unit. What a mistake that has been! And we paid $1,750 for this constant hassle!Weve put up with this until today, when my husband blew his stack after our monthly dewatering. I contact Samsung Customer Service and she said they had no record of any problems with this model! I copied and pasted several reviews from this site and sent them to her. Since its now out of warranty, she said I could purchase a Samsung Protection Plus Rescue Repair program, which is a service option for consumers who are in need of repair on their product. It is a combination repair/extended warranty program. The program includes the both the cost of the needed repair, (all parts AND labor) plus a one year extended service plan. But of course, she couldnt tell me the cost! I have to call another number on Monday to get that bad news! The thing that irked me most is when she said she had the option to report this back to their engineers! What?! Theyre not REQUIRED to report consumer complaints of this nature to R & D!! I also told her that they needed to do a Google search of Problems with Samsung Refrigerators and see how many other people are reporting the same issues. Georgia of Albuquerque - Im with you! I think we should band together and file a class-action lawsuit. What do you other irate consumers think of this idea? Perhaps someone with more legal expertise would offer their opinion as to what they think the chances are of us winning something like this.

I bought a new refrigerator from Home Depot on June 22, 2016 (receipt attached). It was delivered on July 7, 2016. First the two front doors were not even. After numerous phone calls to home depot and Samsung the problem was partially corrected. After about a week of installation the unit shutdown by itself. Unplugging and re plugging it seemed to fix the problem and it started working again. We were away for a weekend and the unit shutdown and internal fridge and freezer temperature went to 80 F. All the food was spoiled.Again after numerous calls to Samsung and home depot a technician came and said the unit was overheating because of internal leaks of the coolant. He said he was going to report the problem to Samsung and I need to wait for Samsung for their decision if they want to replace the unit or send parts to repair the unit. This was on the 18th of August. We still do not have a resolution to the problem. My calls get transferred from one place to another and dropped many times. Very dissatisfied with their response. I do not have a working refrigerator after spending close to $3000 and both companies do not consider that I deserve a quick resolution to this issue. + I have been without a refrigerator for more than a week now during these hot summer days, but the response from these big companies is very disappointing to say the least.

I spent $2200 on a Samsung Refrigerator (model RF4287HAPB). As Im reading, I see the model number doesnt matter - they are all junk. Id like to submit my experience. Today is 9/6/12. I bought my refrigerator on 9/20/11. On 8/20/12, the screen started reading an error code. I called Samsung, who sent out a repair person. The repair person stated it was from the freezer. Its irreparable because the wires where the malfunction occurred are in a non-removable part of the unit, and therefore, the code is permanently affixed. I cannot operate what temperature setting, or whether I want cubed or crushed ice.In other words, once a part goes, it affects the whole unit. My part was a freezer sensor affixed with small plastic clips (which a consumer would not know since its not easily seen). Somehow, it became dislodged and the wires were cut, thus, making the unit irreparable. My spouse is an engineer who has designed some items that most people are aware of and rely on a daily basis. I explained the design to him and his comments were that this was a highly flawed design and structure. The refrigerator is under warranty, still. I am replacing it with a better model (i.e., not Samsung). I purchased the unit at Sears and they are replacing it with the cost of a new refrigerator, as to what I paid for the original unit. Im glad I purchased there since it appears that Lowes and Home Depot do not honor their customers. I can purchase another brand and not Samsung. I wish I had done my homework before I made this purchase. Additionally, Id like to add, there is no way to effectively clean the shelves and side doors since it has a multitude of parts and they do not come apart. So, it allows bacterial growth from water and spills. I have kept this refrigerator clean and I dont have that problem. But I can see how it would occur since there are cracks and crevices that water and spills can seep and there is no way to effectively dry them since its impossible to get any apparatus down there, or you risk breaking it all together.

We bought a Samsung Side-by-Side Refrigerator on 24 Jan 2008 from Best Buy
We bought a Samsung Side-by-Side Refrigerator on 24 Jan 2008 from Best Buy with a 5-year warranty service plan. We have had problems with cooling that resulted in spoiled food several times. We had one situation wherein the fan had to be replaced because of the noise it made while the fridge was not cooling at that time as well. We had had constant problems with ice-maker not working. The motor or vent behind the ice-maker freezes up and has to be thawed about four times a year. The ice has to be removed from the unit and the ice-maker begins working about 24 to 48 hours later. We have had problems with cooling and spoiled milk resulting in another fan motor replacement in 2010. This month, the refrigerator stopped cooling resulting in untimely milk and produce spoiling. When we turned the refrigerator up to 3 notches, all produce, eggs and pickles froze and had to be thrown out. We turned the unit down to 2 notches and now we have had two packages of meat spoil that was just purchased last week with expiration date of 27 Sept 11 (meat to sausage in casing and ground sausage). We have a Best Buy serviceman coming today. Our service warranty expires in 19 Jan 2013 and we plan to buy another refrigerator (not Samsung)!

We purchased a Samsung French Door Style Refrigerator from our local Lowes about 6 years ago. A few years after we had it, the produce drawers started to get water in them and then started freezing into sheets of ice. It ruined produce, etc and then we couldnt use either of the drawers. It cost us at that time $200 to have it fixed. The repairman told me then that this was a common problem with this refrigerator and it had to do with the design. Just called a repairman today to come and repair my refrigerator with the very same issue. Another $250 repair into this product. I have owned this pricey Samsung Induction Range NE58H9970WS for two years and am having oven issues that I would consider to be safety related. When using the lower section of my flex oven, the broiler in the top section comes on although not in use. It gets extremely hot and oven starts to smoke. On two occasions, the broiler remained on when oven features where all off. We had to turn off the circuit breaker to get it to stop. Samsung has indicated to me that there must be an internal hardware issue (no kidding!). I will be contacting the service technician in our area to have this rectified. Although I do love the induction cooktop, I would not purchase Samsung in future as it was expensive and they appear to have poor customer service.

I bought a Samsung dishwasher Model# DW80F600UTS/AA about 6 months ago. Its no good and did not work out of the box. I was getting an error code that it would not drain on start-up. I had to call for service, explained the problem and a tech was scheduled to come and repair it in a week. Tech came, replace faulty part and it finally ran for the first time. Sure it ran but it has never cleaned the dishes very well and it always leaves a powdery residue on everything. The insides of the dishwasher has a build up of powdery residue in certain areas as well, especially on the bottom. Also I have noticed that it smells when I open the door even with no new dirty dishes in it. You would think that from a place where you pull clean dishes from that it wouldnt have a musty odor coming from it. It just makes me sick to know I have a new expensive dishwasher and I wind up cleaning more dishes by hand than I put in my dishwasher. I also bought Samsung microwave oven and stove but have not had a problem yet except that the clocks have to be reset every 30 months because one run fast and the other runs slow. From what I have been reading I am bracing myself for the other appliances to give me problems. I have not bought the fridge yet and I guarantee it wont be a Samsung! Best of luck to all of those who do not heed the warnings of myself and the others who have posted here.

Over the last 3 months I have had continuous problems with maintaining the temperature. The service guy came out again today (4th time in 3 months). Said the new compressor just replaced 3 months ago is bad. I have lost so much food and time. I want compensation and a new refrigerator.

Purchased a Samsung French door black stainless steel refrigerator on Sunda
Purchased a Samsung French door black stainless steel refrigerator on Sunday (8/5/2018). From the moment we plugged it in the display flashes an PC ER code. After some searching online found a fix for it that didn’t fix it (shocker) so Monday morning called Samsung to schedule a service, because I really wasn’t trying to load it back and return to store although in hindsight should’ve done that, tech arrived Tuesday and did the same thing I had already done to try and resolve the problem which I explained to the customer service representatives I spoke with when making the service appointment. One would think since the refrigerator model and serial number plus the problem was told to the representatives the tech they send out would come prepared with what would be needed to fix it... sadly not the case. So 2 days after purchase and a service visit I’m stuck waiting an additional 2-3 for the part that should (but not completely sure) fix the issue. I’ll be calling customer service to cancel everything and just load the piece of junk back up and return it and spend a little more for a more reliable brand. I will definitely not be purchasing any other Samsung home appliances. If you like the hassle of purchasing something and not having it work properly by all means spend the money on Samsung appliances and enjoy the stress and hassle of having to go through a service call on a new product.

I wish I had reviewed this fridge when it first became apparent at how bad it was. Might have saved some folks purchasing one. It is French Doors with bottom freezer, about 4-1/2 years old. The first thing that we noticed was at 1 year old, the stainless was spotted. We are 2 retired people, no kids here. Used stainless cleaner to no avail. Called Samsung, they said they dont warranty the stainless. 2nd thing was a flap on the door broke because we didnt always open or close the right door first...never knew until this happened, and figured it out. That was over $300. Now, in the last 9 months the ice maker has gone out 3 times. Had it fixed for about $250. Less than 3 months later it went out again. The repair company fixed it as a warranty issue. Now, 6 months later...out again. Waiting for an answer from the repair company, but they only guarantee a repair for 3 months, and dont know if Samsung will do anything. I will not pay for another ice maker. Will start over with another brand...never a Samsung. Anything!!! So disappointed!

I bought this dishwasher new. Within the first 2 years the control panel went out, cost $200. The bottom screen tore, replaced at 85. My husband did all the labor or I would have paid as much again for this dishwasher as it cost originally. Now just a simple leak at the bottom of the door. The rubber gasket is old and tore, water leaking all over my floor. Simple to get out. But Samsung does not sell just the door gasket, You must Buy The Entire Door Panel. Why not? It’s holding the consumer hostage for higher priced parts replacements. Repacking a door when you just need the seal! The cost of a gasket $20 maybe, but the entire door is what they want to sell me at $250. just to get a new bottom door seal. Highway robbery. I will never buy your product again. Totally ridiculous! This dishwasher still looks great but it is being trashed. Can’t use it, leaks water all over the floor without the gasket. I won’t waste any more fixing this product. Buying a new Whirlpool! Never buy Samsung Dishwashers!

I purchased model RF260BEAEBC/AA in June 2105. Now waiting on my 5th service call. Each call requires 1-2 week wait for service. I have had two compressors and expect another. All my food is lost yet again. Samsung tells me they never replace as long as they can continue repairing. I am so frustrated. I cannot afford a new replacement and have now considered getting a good used one on Craigslist. I paid thousands and cannot get a working refrigerator.

We purchased our French Door Refrigerator (Model RF4267HABP) Dec./2011 from Lowes Home Improvement. Within the first year we started noticing rust on the front door near the ice maker and the door. The Lowes repairman told us since it was cosmetic it wasnt covered under warranty. We would have to pay a large amount to replace the front door panel. Why do this if they cant fix the problem that is causing the issue? The repairman basically told us to not use the crushed ice option. WHAT? Why own an ice maker if you cant use the crushed ice? They are now telling me that they havent seen this issue in the database so they dont think its an issue.

The ice maker stopped working within a few days after owning the refrigerator. It freezes up requiring the ice maker to be removed and thawed out. This has to be a common problem with this refrigerator as it works for a few days then the problem repeats. I would not recommend buying any item from Samsung as I think they are just interested in ripping people off and not standing by their products. They got caught with the cell phones but appliances are harder to claim damages even if the damages are clear design problems.

Less than 2 years after purchasing our Samsung RF266AEPN refrigerator, the fridge started making VERY loud sounds. Turns out the evaporation coil in the back wall of the fridge had a huge build up of ice due to a poor design. This ice made it impossible for the cooling mechanism to function properly. We spent hours carefully melting the ice away and clearing the coil of ice, and putting everything back together. This has become a twice annual ritual. Now new symptoms have developed that will necessitate spending money to repair this piece of junk.

I will NEVER purchase any Samsung products ever again. I will also let everyone I know to never purchase Samsung products. I purchased a Samsung refrigerator one year and almost a month ago. The refrigerator has completely stopped working because Samsung put a faulty part in the fridge. They will not do anything to help me or fix this problem because the warranty is one year and it has been 22 DAYS past the warranty. Samsung has told me I will have to pay $160 just to look at the refrigerator + parts which they would not disclaim to me an estimate of how much the part could cost. I had a technician (not from Samsung) come out and look at the fridge prior to calling Samsung and they saw that Samsung had put in a cord that was supposed to have 3 prongs but was broken and only had 2 prongs. They informed me that they could replace the part which would be at least $250 dollars. However that still will not guarantee if the refrigerator will still work because the faulty part might of completely damaged the fridge for good. The technician informed me that I was lucky because the refrigerator could have completely blown up due to the faulty part. I called Samsung after I had learned what the issue was and they would not do anything about it unless I paid for them to fix the fridge and they did not guarantee that even after paying that if the fridge still does not work that they would do anything about it. They basically told me that I would have to keep paying more money to get it fixed because the warranty was up 22 days ago and it is now no longer their fault. What company puts a BROKEN part into an expensive and large purchase putting a household family in danger and then doesnt own up to it nor replace the part?! This is the worst customer service I have ever received my whole life and I am 55 years old and have owned many homes and many appliances in my lifetime. Samsung makes faulty products that are a danger to the consumer and then charges the consumer ridiculous amounts of money to fix it. What a greedy, dishonest, unreliable and manipulative company. Do NOT buy a refrigerator from them!!!!

ICE MAKER compartment freezes up every 2-3 weeks. Must defrost and reset to get working again. This has been going on for last 2 years on a 5 year old fridge. Samsung COULD NOT CARE LESS. Out of warranty, out of warranty, out of warranty. Sorry for the inconvenience, here’s a phone number of a repairman. This design defect is widely publicized on social media. On 8/29/16 we purchased the 25 cu ft French Door with External Water & Ice Dispenser, Model Number: RF263BEAESG/AA Refrigerator in the Black Stainless finish. Delivered 9/3/16. We purchased this high end very pricey fridge, a high end matching gas range and dishwasher so we spent a pretty decent amount of money. The set was ordered from a local appliance store and was NOT a scratch & dent product. While from a distance the fridge looks fantastic, dont look too close. Under the factory packaging (plastic protective packaging & cardboard was not damaged at all) there were numerous scratches and a small dent in the upper left door. I would expect a new expensive appliance such as this would not arrive in this condition. The appliance store is closing and unable to order a new refrigerator or even just a new door. I dont need an entire new fridge, just an undamaged door.Samsung feels it is our problem and refused to do anything about it. While waiting on hold the recorded message spoke of their commitment to customer service. Well we didnt get that, in fact just the opposite. Interesting is that we really like Samsung and have always promoted their products. This is the first issue weve had and they failed us. I would not recommend this product due to how fragile it seems to be and Samsung will not make it right. I have a beautiful new kitchen with very nice high end Samsung appliances, except for the scratched and dented fridge. Is this really what I waited for all these years? Extremely disappointed. How hard would it be to replace my door? Any other appliance store would have sent it back to Samsung and requested a replacement from Samsung. Why cant Samsung just do that for me?Thanks alot Samsung. Also, I submitted this same review on Samsungs site and guess what? They wont post it.

We purchased a new home in 2009 and purchased stainless steel Samsung appliances for our new kitchen. French door refrigerator; over the stove microwave and range to the tune of over $6,000. In 2010 the refrigerator was leaking water under one of the trays. It was still under warranty so they sent a repairman who attempted to fix it. Said he couldnt but he tried. Also said that these refrigerators all have this problem. It is something with the thermostat, etc. We consistently had this problem, we had to remove the draw, chip away the ice and then use a hair dryer to thaw out the back wall of the refrigerator where the water line was located IN THE REFRIGERATOR. We had repairmen (several different ones came out for about 6 more times) all to no avail. They installed new parts, etc. Great inconvenience to say the least. Samsung finally refunded the purchase price of my refrigerator. The range was no better. In 2011, after the extended warranty we purchased expired, the broiler coil burnt out (according to the repairman) and had to be replaced. I asked him if there was anything he could do because I couldnt afford another repair. He said he could solder it but it was a temporary fix. He was right. About 10 months later the stove wouldnt work. Had to have the broiler coil replaced. Range is now working.Microwave started doing strange things in early 2013. It would go on by itself and I was afraid it would cause a fire. I called and the repairman, he came out and said it was only the fan that was going while the door was closed and he couldnt fix it because he felt it was a defect in the product. He didnt want to incur a huge bill for me when he didnt know what was wrong. He contacted Samsung and they wouldnt talk to him because he wasnt on their list of repairmen. The microwave operated fine, as for cooking, etc. with the fan always on when it was opened. In 2015 the whole thing just died. No error message, nothing. It just ceased working. I will never, ever purchase anything, other than a TV, from Samsung. They should stick with what they do best, TV sets. I now have to purchase a new microwave which has to be installed because it is an above range built in. The one we purchased was a high end and cost over $600. Didnt think it would only last 6 years. I had my other microwave for over 13 years and it worked fine. Waiting for the other shoe to drop on the range.

As I tell all of my friends, stay away from Samsung appliances. They may make good phones but they should stick to just that! We bought a Samsung french door, freezer on the bottom refrigerator 4 years ago. The ice maker started freezing up and not working 6 months after we bought it. At times it makes so much noise it wakes us up. Now a new problem... the fridge just stops cooling even though the freezer is still working. Its an on again off again problem leaving us never knowing when our food might go bad. Yesterday it stopped working for hours so I ordered a Whirlpool (which I shouldnt have to replace a rather expensive 4 year old fridge) online from Lowes. Then about 10 pm it just started working again. I called a repairman only to find out that, between diagnostic and the fix, someone would have to be here about 2 to 3 hours. My husband and I are both high risk if we get Corona so I really dont want someone in my home. Now I dont know whether to trust it or go ahead and spend another $2000 (were on social security and cant really afford it) or just hope and pray that we dont get sick from eating spoiled food if it goes out and comes back on while we are sleeping. From what I see on this forum Samsung, you have caused so much stress and anxiety with your defective products, not to mention possible illness. You should (but Im sure youre not) be ashamed!

First and foremost, Samsung does not have a clue when it comes to customer service. Theyre blinded by their policies. As a matter of fact, they have a department that goes by the name of Executive Customer Relations (ECR) which is intended to be there to help with escalated issues and even the manager of this department who goes by the name of Prosper, admitted to me that there is nobody in the company that we, as customers, can speak to that has the ability to determine if a replacement product or refund should be made. You may let this be a warning, if you are reading this, that Samsung truly does not have customer service support if you come across any major issues with your products. We have had our Samsung refrigerator for only 3 months and within the first 3 days we had our first service call for a defective water system. Then 2 months later the same issue and another major issue occurred and they plan to take our entire unit apart, and rebuild a brand new unit. I bought a brand new unit and do not wish to have a rebuilt unit as anyone in my shoes would feel. Unfortunately because they do not have a person who can help, I want to be sure that you, the consumer, has the chance to be forewarned about the reality of the customer service in this company. At the end of the day, there are multiple reviews about Samsung quality issues and service issues. Trust what you read as I wish I did when I was shopping for this. I love their TVs as I have a few and have not had issues, but their appliances are not their strong point. Just be careful with Samsung and really think about if you want to deal with this. They have only 1 star on this Consumer Affairs page, which should speak for itself.

On Feb 12th 2020, I had a new Samsung Microwave, Model # ME19R7041FS delivered and installed over my range. On May 11th, the microwave turned itself on. By the time I heard the fan running the oven was so hot I could not touch it. None of the controls worked to shut it off so I was forced to unplug it. The Microwave was hot both inside and the outside as well was so hot it not touchable. Fortunately I was home at the time of this incident and was able to unplug it. I cant imagine what might have happened if I had not been at home. I feel that a fire would easily have been the next step. I called Samsung and they said they would not replace the microwave that their technicians would be capable to fixing it. It is now supposedly fixed, however, I am not confident enough to leave it plugged in when I am not here. I unplug it when I am leaving the house. I am seriously considering buying another brand microwave and replacing the Samsung one so that I feel safe.

I called right back and went through the same scenario. 3rd time they called, I answered and was able to s he duke a service call 1 week later. This whole time I have been calling Samsung customer service with no resolution. They in fact, said they also could not get through to the repair vendor and I should keep trying.Day of appointment- I get a text from Tech telling me he will be there in 4 hour window. I asked if he had a slide protector for the floor (which is standard issue for appliance delivery and repair, and what the installers used). He said no. He told me if to have the fridge moved out away from cabinet before he got here. I advised I could not do that as it was too heavy. He advised me to reach out to place I purchased as he would not move. He only replaces parts or repairs. I contacted Samsung, who again could not help and advised me to contact Home Depot.I contacted Home Depot and explained the situation. They sent out a manager with slide pads and he moved fridge out and placed slide pads under the fridge. Repair tech came out. He showed up in an unmarked personal vehicle with another man with no uniform. How unprofessional. All he wanted to talk about was how he was not going to be responsible for property damage. We determined what the issue was, which turned out to be an installation issue. We also purchased a dishwasher with this fridge. We spent over $4000 and this has been one of the worst experiences I have had with a purchase. Samsungs failure to respond appropriately and ongoing issues with this vendor(as referenced in online reviews) will cause me to never buy a Samsung product again (we also have 2 Samsung TV’s).

Warning! My dishwasher broke within a year, under warranty. Its been 10 weeks, six technician visits, 25 hours of phone calls and dozens of emails and I still dont have a functional dishwasher. Plus, one of the technicians uninstalled it and didnt reinstall it, so its not even attached to the counter anymore. In addition to all that, the cycle is nearly 4 hours long! Example of lies I have been told by this disgusting company after they replaced the motherboard, water wall and motor: 1. Once a technician comes out twice, we deem it defective and give you a refund. Its been six times so far. 2. Technician needs to come out three times before we can deem it defective. See above. 3. It doesnt work because you arent running the sanitize feature. Okay, still doesnt work. 4. It doesnt work because you are using regular Cascade pods, not Platinum pods. Okay, still doesnt work. 5. It doesnt work because you are using pods, not liquid detergent. Not according to Cascade, but okay, still doesnt work. 6. It works. I dont remember having you over for dinner and you offering to clean up, Samsung, so how would you know that? It leaks, doesnt even get some dishes wet and doesnt dissolve the detergent, liquid or pod. Model DW80J7550UG. Garbage product from garbage company. I wish I had read reviews before purchasing the dishwasher. I had purchased the refrigerator and was somewhat satisfied so I purchased the dishwasher so that the appliances would match. Both are stainless steel (so they say but magnets stick to the front of the dishwasher so you know its not stainless.) The front of the dishwasher has rusted but in addition to that (this was actually the icing on the cake) the dishwasher has not worked more than it has worked. Always stopping, giving blinking lights, had to replace the level sensor twice, clean out the line numerous time and it really doesnt clean well. The refrigerator while not rusting doesnt drain and a thick sheet of ice gets under the drawer. We have to take the drawer out and soak up the water and ice. Nothing but issues. I hate both appliances and will NEVER purchase another Samsung appliance again. I wont even take it for free. Thank you.

Terrible design on water dispenser. It actually dispenses back at an angle, making it impossible to fill water bottles, but worse causes a constant drip of water that did not make it into any container. There is no reservoir for overflow, so once the shallow holding area is full, water gets all over the floor, when opening the door. We purchased our Samsung in August of 2014. We were gone for an extended period of time and the fridge was barely used and was off most of the time after delivery. We returned in mid March and a couple of weeks ago in early April 2015 I placed a double wrapped (plastic and butcher wrap) package of frozen fish on a fridge shelf to thaw for cooking in a couple of days. Two days later, when I went to the fridge there was a terrible odor... fish. I noticed the thawed fish had leaked and spilled all over the shelf and down into the drawer below. I removed it all and cleaned it up and tossed the fish too sickened to cook it. About 4 days or so later I noticed that the odor remained. I recleaned the entire fridge. I noticed that the shelf on which the fish leaked, the one that I had cleaned thoroughly now had a reddish brown stain all along all sides under the tempered glass between the shelf frame and the glass. Ok, I thought, I must remove the glass BUT the glass is sealed into the frame and I could and cannot remove it for proper cleaning. Now, the clear fluid that leaked under the glass has a reddish brown color which indicates to me that bacteria were feasting on the fish juice that spilled from the package. I was alarmed and ran hot water from the faucet directly onto the shelf sides. NO LUCK! I then tried soaking the shelf... one side at a time, in my sink in hot soapy water. STILL NO LUCK. I called Samsung, live chatted with Samsung and submitted emails and called my appliance dealer. We purchased an expensive 5 year warranty for service. I thought they would make this right. All of the shelves, freezer and fridge are sealed. You cannot clean any spilled liquid!!! I even tried inserting a single edged razor blade under the side to let water in but it would not. I asked Samsung for directions on how to clean those sides of the glass. THEY SAID THEY HAD NO SUGGESTION. My appliance dealer also said they could not help. After approximately 8 hours on the phone with Samsung I now have a refrigerator that is a bacteria factory and cannot be cleaned. I am going to report this here and now I am going to search out a class action lawyer who will take this case.I have NEVER owned a fridge that did now allow for cleaning of the glass, or if sealed, did not allow fluid leakage. SAMSUNG HAS A DESIGN FLAW. If you care about your health and the health of your family DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG PRODUCT. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE HEALTH RELATED ISSUES. Samsung offered to send out a service person. HOWEVER, if this was a cleaning/maintenance issue, I would have to pay for a $55.00 charge. Do not even try going into their self help or request for service by phone or online. Both methods ultimately shift you back into a service request circle of forms that grow more complicated.I spent more than four hours on the link that I was given that would solve my problem. I took the link and filled out all the information, uploaded photos of the problem (bacteria growing) and scanned and uploaded my sales receipt. It then flipped me to a self-help page that one could NEVER escape from until Samsung clocked you out. If you are human, like me, and occasionally spill liquids in the fridge, DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG, IT WOULD BE SAFER TO BUY AN ICE CHEST AND A BAG OF ICE IF YOURE LOOKING FOR SAFE FOOD STORAGE. Thats it, Ill never buy another Samsung product! Now, Im off to find a class action lawyer to make them fix this problem. Ive felt nauseated ever since noticing this reddish brown bacteria. Dont know if it was/is the bacteria I cant remove or the stress that Samsung has caused!

I am so utterly disappointed and frustrated with Samsung. We have a few Sam
I am so utterly disappointed and frustrated with Samsung. We have a few Samsung items in my home. TV, Washer and Dryer and French Door Refrigerator with freezer on the bottom. We have hard water in my home and wonder if this could be the issue. Almost one year from our delivery of our brand new refrigerator from HOME DEPOT, the ice maker stopped making ice. When we investigated further, we noticed that ice wasnt dropping and there was frost and freeze everywhere. We began the regular ritual of using my hairdryer to defrost the ice maker. I called Samsung. Our unit was out of warranty for 3 days. They would not make accommodations and would not bend, even a bit. Nope. Nothing. I was livid. CUSTOMER SERVICE is not alive and well in SAMSUNG. They flip the consumer off with a hand gesture and send you on your way, after all, they already have my money. NO SAMSUNG IN MY HOUSE, ever again. I will pay more for something else. Im so happy to see the debacle unfolding with their line of tablets, phones, etc... Sorry for the consumer, dont get me wrong. I hate that company.

I have had this Samsung model RF267 Water and Ice maker repaired every year
I have had this Samsung model RF267 Water and Ice maker repaired every year for the past 2 years. It was broken when I got it. When the ice maker work it is very loud. The water bottle has been replaced twice. It leaks water. The appliance company repaired it for me said they get calls every day from consumers about the same problems on the Samsung Refrigerators. I dont know what to do. This is an expensive piece of junk. The refrigerator is only 4 years old.

Samsung is my go to brand for appliances. I didn’t hesitate buying my Sam
Samsung is my go to brand for appliances. I didn’t hesitate buying my Samsung gas range and lm happy with its performance but I am not feeling same about the look. Two things disappointed me when it arrived after ordering it online, sight unseen; the bright red lined knobs on the sleek white range and especially large gap between the warmer drawer and the oven door. If they could correct that, I’d be 100% happy with it.

Last Thursday, I set the oven to 375 degrees and when it was at temperature
Last Thursday, I set the oven to 375 degrees and when it was at temperature, put chicken in to cook for dinner. About 10 minutes later, we heard a loud pop and smoke began to pour out of the back of the control panel. Then flames appeared. We turned off the house circuit breaker and used a fire extinguisher to douse the flames. The oven door locked as though it was on self-cleaning mode. We waited until the appliance had completely cooled and removed the back of it to see where the fire had occurred. It was clearly a short in the wiring that caused the fire.If we had not been close by to hear and see the fire as it started, it could have easily spread. As it was, the house was filled with acrid smoke, and 3 days later, there is a lingering bad odour from the fire. All we lost was about $40 worth of chicken and the stove itself - we had to pry the oven door open to remove the uncooked meat, because we were afraid to plug the stove back in to see if the door would release on its own. We have three children, one of whom is a 7 month old baby, and my senior citizen parents were visiting - we are lucky that no one was injured, and that the kitchen and the rest of the house suffered no real damage. All of us have breathing problems due to asthma and allergies, and we all had headaches, sore throats, and irritated sinuses from the smoke. We are extremely upset at the dangerous situation that occurred. It was clearly the result of shoddy design and a cheaply constructed product. My husband paid $1400 for this stove five years ago when he was living alone. He barely used the appliance until September 2012 when I moved in with my two children. Since then, we have used it every day for typical cooking. We should be able to expect a stove to endure regular use for more than 3 years without any issue, especially given the initial price paid. We should be able to expect a certain standard of safety, where a household appliance should not light on fire without warning, putting life and property at risk.Since January this year, the two front elements on the stove top have malfunctioned. It is not possible to control the temperature setting on these elements - they are either off or on high. This is likely attributable to a short circuit in the wiring as well (one that did not result in a fire) since the problem occurred suddenly. In retrospect, the malfunctioning elements were clearly a sign that the appliance was dangerously flawed. We have emailed Samsung to request compensation for the loss of our appliance, and for the fact that it caused a fire that endangered our family and our home. We would like Samsung to take responsibility for funding a replacement appliance, since it is obviously the fault of the design and construction of this stove that it malfunctioned, in the amount of $1400. We will not accept a repair, since the appliance is now unusable, nor will we accept a replacement Samsung stove, since we could never trust it. We would like Samsung to be held accountable for the shoddy household range it produced.I have reported the incident to the Canadian Standards Association to complain about their alleged inspection and endorsement of this inferior and dangerous product, but according to the website, they will not publicly report on any findings if they investigate my claim because of confidentiality concerns. I interpret that to mean that they are protecting manufacturers rather than consumers. In the past, we have also owned a Samsung dryer, which we replaced in January 2015 due to a similar break-down. The dryer stopped heating up after only 3 years of regular use - we assumed it was due to the element burning out, but did not investigate further.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator model #RFG298HDRS 5 years ago and have had issues with water leaking and freezing under the cool select pantry drawer. Some reviews say the leaking is caused by not using Samsung filters but we always use Samsung filters. We bought the extended warranty and had the heating element changed for free but now less than a year later we are having the same issue again! When you spend this much money on an appliance you expect it to work!

In mid-2015 I replaced my refrigerator with the Samsung French Door/Freezer
In mid-2015 I replaced my refrigerator with the Samsung French Door/Freezer at the bottom (Model #: RF261BEAEWW/AA-0001). Two weeks ago, we noticed the icemaker abruptly stopped working. Shortly thereafter, water accumulated under the refrigerator crisper and seeped from under the right side. Not really understanding what was going on, I just cleaned it every two to three days. Now as of three days ago, I began hearing a humming/grinding noise coming from the upper rear center on the inside of the fridge. It sounded like the fan was hitting something as its spinning. It only does it when the doors are closed and you can hear it winding down when you open the door. When you close the doors, it winds up to full speed again and the loud irritating sound returns. Now, since the icemaker stopped I turned it off yet the noise is still active. While doing an inspection, I found a build up of ice in the back of the fridge.Turning to the internet for Diagnostics and DYI Repair advice, I have come across countless of sites with hundreds of complaints warning people Samsung will not recognize their horrible flaw(s) within their product. Samsung Service Centers have you open a ticket but then tell you they apparently cant fix the issue(s). Like many here, I dont have money to freely give a technician who will in turn place a Band-Aid on the problem; only for the refrigerator to disintegrate it and I succumb to the same issues month(s) later. They built the fridge and therefore they should have the ability to successfully repair it! Samsung shouldve just stuck with manufacturing electronics. I believed in their products until now. I, for one, will not be buying any of their major appliances anymore. Since they refuse to issue a recall notice on their clearly defected product I would like more information as to where and how to add my name to the lawsuit against them.

Fridge - weve had problems from the start. Samsung has sent local technicia
Fridge - weve had problems from the start. Samsung has sent local technicians to fix it 5-6 times now, including the main computer board and the compressor (twice). The last time the tech came, he said he doesnt know what else to do, and recommends it be replaced. Samsung has denied this and says it is repairable. So we are stuck between Samsung saying its fixable and the tech saying he doesnt know what to do. THIS IS HOW WARRANTIES WORK???I have been patient for six months trying to deal with this, but Im done. I am telling everyone I know to never buy a Samsung appliance ever again. Oh, and last week our dishwasher broke. We bought it just under a year ago, but they dont even read emails. I clearly explained that 06-10-2014 meant OCTOBER 6th, and NOT June 10. But they didnt even read the email I sent with the receipt and simply denied the claim, so now Im having to deal with that. Every single miscommunication costs a week in terms of getting repairs done in a timely fashion. Oh, and if Samsung EVER tells you they will call you back in 24 hours, DO NOT believe it. They have told us that 5-7 times during these processes and never once did they do so.

I purchased The Stainless Samsung French Door with 2 drawers - Bottom Drawe
I purchased The Stainless Samsung French Door with 2 drawers - Bottom Drawer Freezer - (Model #RF24FSEDBSR/AA) March 2016. I had issues from the first day. Ice maker was putting out approx 10 cubes per day. The cubes looked frostbitten. Water leaking from ice maker down the front of the refrigerator. Ice maker wasnt sealed properly causing moisture inside fridge. I have had many issues with the ice maker and it was replaced three times. I had another issue where my freezer stopped freezing and I lost the entire contents. Tech told me to turn it into my insurance, which I didnt. All within the first year. Since I was having so many issues Samsung gave me a free ONE TIME service call to replace another ice maker. I continued to have issues with the ice maker and it finally stopped working altogether. I thought mine was the only one. Come to find out there are so many others with the same issues. I contacted Samsung again once I knew there were ongoing issues and mine was not the only one. I explained that I had a failed back surgery with restrictions on lifting and these 20 lb bags of ice are not easily handled. I told them that I wanted what I paid for - A working fridge, freezer and ice maker. They ignored my request. This fridge was over $3000. SO FAR they have completely ignored me.
